Affectionately, she was known as a pony, she was of a particular breed known as an alicorn.  The height difference between the two of you was quite substantial. She was literally about 10 feet tall when standing up. 

Your head rested upon the midsection of her back, buried in the softness of her folded, fluffy wings. It felt absolutely divine to rest your head there, it was like that of the softest pillow you could imagine. The softness of her warm furry body against your bare skin was also quite incredible. Wonderful soothing heat radiated off her body, she provided you with all the warmth you needed on this cold winter night. 

Her glowing, rainbow tail was wrapped around your body, which acted as a secondary blanket to keep you warm. The light it gave off was very faint. It was in night mode.
