What if King Sombra rules all of Equestria? The mane 5, CMC, and Wonderbolts are under his control. Will he be stopped?
What if King Sombra put the mane 5, CMC, and the Wonderbolts under his control, and rules all of Equestria? What will happen when Celestia and Luna are defeated? Will anypony stop Sombra? Or will he rule Equestria forever? And what will happen once he gets a queen as evil as him?
I watched as the purple alicorn put those colorful gems called the elements of harmony back on their tree. These ponies were so foolish, thinking that they had defeated me so easily. Instead of defeating me, I would defeat them. As soon as they start walking away, then I would come out of the shadows and destroy the elements. It was taking a lot of my patience to not just destroy it now. Finally, they started walking away. Now was my chance. I grinned at the thought of how they would react. Then, I concentrated on crystals and destruction. I concentrated harder, and large black crystals shot out of the ground, destroying the tree and all six elements. The friendship ponies turned around and gasped upon seeing the destruction that I had caused. I revealed myself and laughed evilly.
The Rainbow-maned one said, “What just happened?”
The yellow one asked, “The elements of harmony can’t really be destroyed, can it?”
The purple one said in shock, “It can’t be.”
I told them, “But it is. You thought you defeated me. But instead, you led me right to the source of your power. Now that it’s destroyed, nothing can stop me.”
I gave them my Sombra-is-the-best smirk. The alicorn tried to fix the smashed elements, but her efforts were vain. She finally admitted defeat by saying, “He’s right. With the elements gone. I don’t know how we can defeat him.”
Rainbow-mane (I’ll call her that for now) confidently told her, “Then we’ll just have to beat him the old-fashioned way!”
Rainbow-mane and the other ponies except for the alicorn ran towards me, looking ready for a good fight. But, I wouldn’t let them have it. As soon as they came extremely close, I concentrated hard and made crystal borders around them. They tried to break the crystal, but failed to make a single dent.
I smirked and said, “You’re no match for me. I will finally rule the crystal empire.”
I realized something and gasped. “Wait, with all of you out of the way, I will rule all of Equestria! And I know exactly what I’ll do first. Every king needs an army, and I am the king of all monsters. It’s a good thing that there are already some ponies volunteering.”
Rainbow-mane yelled, “If you try anything, I’ll…I’ll…”
I ask, “You’ll do what? Without your elements, you are completely powerless. And very easy to control.”
Before another pony could say any more words, I quickly cast the mind controlling spell on them. I didn’t control the alicorn, because I wanted her to helplessly watch as I mercilessly kill Celestia and Luna. She would watch as I conquered and destroyed Equestria. As I take my rightful place as king and as her worst nightmare becomes true. I would break and fix her. And she would be mine. I had everything planned. I just needed to put my plan in action. I teleported the seven of us to a cave near Ponyville.
I chained the purple mare’s neck and hooves and was about to go into the cave, when I heard voices. I turned into my shadow form and saw that there was a dragon, and five ponies. Without them knowing, I quietly went into the cave with the mind-controlled ponies. I heard the dragon ask, “Did you guys hear what happened in the Crystal Empire?”
An orange maned one replied, “No. What happened in there?”
The dragon answered, “King Sombra returned and tried to take back the Crystal Empire. But Twilight and the others stopped him before he could do any real damage.”
A white filly said, “King Sombra tried to retake the Crystal Empire! That’s terrible! It’s a good thing that he was defeated. He’s such a meanie.”
An orange filly said, “I know right? If I was there, then I would’ve asked Spitfire to make him go through a straw. Or whatever she was talking about when she tried to make me not join the washouts.”
A blue stallion asked, “Spike, have you seen Rainbow dash anywhere today?”
The dragon who’s name was probably Spike answered, “Rainbow dash? I haven’t seen her since I got back from the Crystal Empire. Why do you ask?”
A yellow filly answered the dragon, “It’s obvious, isn’t it? He loves Rainbow.”
The stallion’s cheeks turned bright red. He said, “I wouldn’t exactly call that love.”
The white filly asked, “Then what would you call it?”
The stallion answered, “Close friends.”
Orange-mane said, “Oh come on, Soarin! We all know there’s something else going on between you and Rainbow so quit trying to hide it from us.”
The stallion’s cheeks turned redder. The fillies sang, “Someponies in love. Someponies in love.”
By that time, I had enough. I was unable to stop myself from laughing. I burst into laughter. But I was laughing so loud that I was heard. The ponies turned around and orange-filly stuttered, “K-K-King S-Sombra? W-W-What are you d-d-doing here?”
I replied by casting the mind-controlling spell on them. I was about to go out of the cave with my small army and conquer Cloudsdale, when I realized something. To conquer Cloudsdale and other cities, I would need much more that puppets. I needed evil alicorns. Luckily, I knew a spell for that and used it on them. The fillies and mares became Celestia’s height and got armor that looked like Nightmare Moon’s. I turned the pegasi into Shadowbolts. I heard that they used to be Wonderbolts, so their flying skills would be very useful. I made some costumes for them and made them wear it. Everything was going smoothly.
I ordered them, “Conquer Cloudsdale!”
They ran off to execute my orders. While they conquered Cloudsdale, I would conquer Ponyville, and then take control of the Crystal Empire. That way, while I would sit on my throne and relax, Equestria would become mine. I pulled Twilight Sparkle with me and started walking towards Ponyville. It was only a 10-minute walk and I was there. As soon as ponies saw me, they ran in every direction.
I laughed and said, “You can run, but you can’t hide!”
I waited for them to think that they were safe, and then I cast the mind-controlling spell on them. I didn’t turn them into alicorns, because the number of ponies in there would be able to destroy an entire castle. I teleported me and my army to the Crystal Empire.
I grinned as ponies ran in all directions after seeing me and my army. I felt their fear and smirked. Because, today would be the day that I would take back my Empire. As I got closer to the Crystal Palace, the crystal guards came with their spears, ready to fight. I laughed before putting a mind-controlling spell on them. The guards were now in my army. The palace must’ve been alerted, because it had a magical bubble that wouldn’t let anypony through. I teleported in, and my army did the same. We were in the throne room and the pink alicorn princess had a shocked look on her face.
I said, “Will you surrender or wait for me to get rid of you?”
She answered, “I will never surrender. Let’s see if you survive this!”
The mare used her magic and charged the crystal heart with it. Even though all the ponies got shiny fur and manes, I was still standing there. The mare tried again and again, but nothing happened. I sent her, the foal, and the stallion to Tartarus. They could rot there.
I decided to Sombra-fie the castle, and in a blink of an eye, it became how I wanted it. The walls were covered with pictures of me, they dungeons were filled with crystal ponies, and I was in my room with the pony I wanted. My army was in different rooms, all across the castle. I was in the biggest room, with the purple pony.
I said, “Such a young pony, now tell me what you fear the most.”
When she didn’t answer, I said, “Won’t you tell me? Alright then, I’ll find out myself.”
I cast the nightmare spell on her, putting all my strength into it to make it seem real. Then, I watched it and heard her cries.
Twilight’s worst nightmare:
Twilight is in Princess Celestia’s castle, surrounded by ponies. Celestia is standing in front of her saying, “I can’t believe I ever called you my student. Even Derpy Hooves would’ve made a better student than you. From today, you are no longer my student.”
Twilight begs, “Please Princess, I promise I’ll do a better job next time. Please keep me as your student.”
Rainbow Dash flies in and says, “You are so pathetic. I don’t know why I even called you my friend.”
Twilight replies, “Rainbow what happened to you?”
Applejack comes in and says, “Nothin happened to her. You leave us alone. You’ve done more than enough trouble.”
Applejack moves and shows Fluttershy crying her eyes out.
Twilight asks, “Fluttershy? What’s happened to you?”
Fluttershy answers, “Don’t even talk to me, you bunny-killer! How dare you even think of hurting poor angel bunny.”
Pinkie appears and throws eggshells on Twilight. She says, “You are the worst friend ever! Leave now! Look what you’ve done to Rarity.”
Rarity comes holding a piece of ruined cloth and says, “You thief! Because of you I couldn’t make the newest dress I wanted to. And it’s all your fault.”
Twilight smells something burning. She sees that her tail is on fire. Looking up, she sees Spike breathing fire on her. He says, “You are the worst friend, and the worst pony alive. You deserve to die.”
A crowd of ponies come in and say, “Put her in Tartarus! Put her in Tartarus!”
The ponies throw rocks at her. Twilight covers her head and cries.
End of Twilight’s nightmare.
Purp-corn opens her eyes and sees that she is still where I put her. I say, “See. I told you nopony likes you.”
Purp-corn (I’ll call her that) replies, “That wasn’t real! I know my friends are looking for me.”
I say, “Still thinking that? I’ll prove you wrong.”
I cast the nightmare spell on her again.
Twilight’s worst nightmare:

End of Twilight’s nightmare.
One month later…
I keep casting the spell until she finally breaks. I pick her off the floor and say, “I told you.”
She cries and cries into my hooves. I let her cry, knowing that she will finally listen to me. I tell her, “Those ponies betrayed you. You must be wanting revenge now, right?”
She nods. I continue, “I’ll help you get your revenge. All you have to do is listen to me.”
After an hour of crying, she falls asleep in my lap. I put her on he bed, and then I turn the lights off and get in. I smirk. Ponyville, Cloudsdale, and the Crystal Empire were under my control. Soon Canterlot would be mine too.
I made the crystal ponies my slaves and forced them to work. Just a few more days and Twilight Sparkle would become evil as me. I would make her my queen, and together we would kill the two sisters. I shut my eyes and dream of my victory.
After many nights of planning, the day had finally come. Today was the day that I and Midnight Terror would get rid of Celestia and Luna. Those princesses would finally meet their end at our hooves.
I would test Midnight's loyalty to me by telling her to kill Celestia painfully. If she did it then I would make her my queen.
She was still sleeping so I woke her up. She jumped out of bed and I said, "Today, we'll go to Canterlot and get revenge. I'll teleport us there at 11 AM. Make sure you're prepared."
Midnight nodded and left the room. I heard the shower turning on.
I imagined the look on Celestia's face when she saw that her student, had become loyal to me. The pain she would feel when her wings would be ripped off.
And when her magic would be taken. I heard Midnight come out of the bathroom, and then I went in and had my shower.
Once I was done, I teleported us to Canterlot, right into Celestia's throne room. She and her sister, were sitting on their thrones.
When they saw me, they were surprised. I moved a bit to the side, showing Midnight.
Celestia gasped. "Twilight Sparkle? Is that you? What are you doing with that monster?"
Midnight replied, "My name is Midnight Terror, not Twilight Sparkle. And King Sombra is not a monster. You are the monster."
Celestia's horn glowed with magic as she tried to do a blasting spell. But I was quicker, and teleported right in front of her.
Then, I used my magic to pull on her horn, and like that Celestia had no more magic.
The blue alicorn, I think her name was Luna, rushed to her sister and said, "Celestia!"
I told her, "Honestly, you princesses are pathetic. How can you even think that you can defeat me?"
She turned around, and said in her Canterlot voice, "Thou shall pay for this!"
I said, "I don't think so."
I pulled on her glowing horn and drained her of her magic. She fell to the floor, next to her sister.
I told Midnight, "Kill Celestia in the most painful way. First rip her wings off, and then her horn."
I watched Midnight do exactly what I told her to. She did it with no remorse in her eyes. Then, she ripped Celestia's mane and tail off. Celestia screamed in pain.
Then, Midnight got a knife and stabbed Celestia. I heard another scream of pain, and then it stopped.
Celestia's eyes shut, never to open again. And Luna cried over the dead mare's body.
I conjured a knife and cut Luna's wings off. I did the same to her horn, and then I cut her back.
I made cuts all over her body and then dug the knife deep into her heart. Her crying stopped and she never moved again.
I laughed evilly. Now that Midnight had passed her test, she would be my queen. And we would rule Equestria forever.
All I had to do now, was get somepony to clean the mess, and then I would plan our wedding.
A week after the fun in Canterlot, I had asked Midnight if she wanted to marry me. (Even if she said no I would force her to, but that wasn't needed because she said yes.)
Now that was over, I had to plan the wedding. The ring bearer could be Spike the dragon. The flower fillies could be, Scootaloo, and the other two she was with.
Who should make the wedding clothes? Maybe the white mare with a purple mane? The decorator could be the pink one.
I was going to tell them to do it, when I remembered that when I put the mind control spell on them, I took their personalities.
I could fix that problem easily. All I have to do is do a personality spell, and it would be fine.
I teleported them all into my throne room and did the spell. Then, I told each of them what they had to do, and they left.
I then teleported two ponies into my throne room. One was a pink alicorn, and the other was a white stallion.
The alicorn asked angrily, "What do you want Sombra?"
I replied, "What do I want? I want to know if you will submit to me now."
The stallion said, "We will never submit to you Sombra."
I said, "Be sensible like your sister. She's already joined me after realizing that Friendship Isn't Magic."
The alicorn laughed, "Twilight would never do such a thing. She's the Princess Of Friendship."
I replied, "If you don't believe me, then you can see with your own eyes. Midnight, come here. There's someponies that wants to see you."
I heard her say that she's coming, and then I heard the sounds of her hoofsteps.
She started, "Who wants to... Oh."
She started her sentence but stopped when she saw the two ponies in front of her. She turned to them and angrily said, "What are you two doing here? Why aren't you in Tartarus?"
The pink alicorn said, "Twilight. What's happened to you? You didn't join Sombra did you?"
Midnight answered, "My name is Midnight Terror. I did join King Sombra. Friendship is totally useless and I can't believe I ever thought that it was magic."
The stallion said, "What will Celestia say when she finds out what you've done?"
Midnight answered, "Celestia won't say anything, because she is dead. I killed her a few days ago. It was a lot of fun."
The pink alicorn looked like fainting. She said, "But Twilight..."
Midnight interrupted, "My name is Midnight Terror."
The alicorn continued, "Fine then, Midnight. How could you kill Celestia? You've been her student ever since you were a foal, and over the years, she became your friend."
Midnight laughed, "I killed her for revenge. I don't care anything about what she was to me. That was the past. You should join my King's army."
The white stallion stuttered, "W-what do you mean, Twily? Why are you calling Sombra your king? He's a monster, remember?"
I said, "That's because I am her king. I am not just a monster, but in fact, I am the king of The monsters. Submit to me now, or I will send you back to Tartarus."
The stallion opened his mouth to say something, but the mare put her hoof over his muzzle and said, "Fine."
I put on a smile and used a mind controlling spell on them. I let them keep their personalities.
After doing the spell, I told some guards to come and take the two other ponies and keep them in a dungeon until I decided what I wanted to do with them.
Then I looked at Midnight. She looked the same as she did when I first caught her, except now she had no chains on, and her eyes were like mine.
Once I made her my queen, then she would transform into an evil version of herself. Even after I married her, she would stay the same. I wondered what a fully evil Midnight Terror would look like, so I thought of making her coronation be right after the wedding.
Then I remembered that every wedding needed guests. But, who should I invite? Nopony deserved to be at MY wedding, but I had to invite someponies or it would be just me, Midnight, flower fillies, and a dragon.
Wait a second. I didn’t have to invite ponies. I could invite my umbrums. When I fought Amore, a thousand years ago she said that there were more like me, and that they were imprisoned deep under the city.
But digging didn’t work. Maybe there was a secret door that only I could open? Thinking about it, I remembered seeing a door like that in my secret room. The last time that I was in there, I tried opening the door with magic, but it wouldn’t open.
The door had a lock on it, and the keyhole was shaped big enough for a horn like mine to fit in there. That meant… my horn was the key!
I revealed the passage and then, I told Midnight, “I’m going down there for a while. Don’t go outside of the throne room.”
She said, “Ok”, and then I went down the passage.
I opened my room’s door and went inside. Then, I walked to the door that had a lock on it. I tried putting my horn in the lock, and the lock came off. After taking the lock off my horn, I opened the door, and saw a hundred Umbrums.
They didn’t look like what I thought they would, but that didn’t matter. All that mattered now was that I had freed them.
I heard a voice say, “Sombra? Is it you?”
I could recognize that voice, even if the last time I heard it was more than a thousand years ago. I asked, “Rabia?”
Rabia came forward and said, “Sombra! You’ve finally freed us! Do you rule the crystal empire now?”
I answered, “I rule not only the Crystal Empire, but… All Of Equestria! And, I’ve found a queen for myself.”
Rabia asked, “Who is the lucky mare?”
I told her, “A corrupted Twilight Sparkle, now known as Midnight Terror.”
Rabia asked another question. “When is your wedding?”
I replied, “Tomorrow, and I’m inviting every Umbrum.”
Because it would take too long for them all to come out, I teleported them into my throne room. I closed the passage, and then pulled Midnight to Rabia.
I said, “Midnight, this is my mother Rabia. Rabia, this is Midnight.” Rabia asked, “Are the princesses defeated?”
Midnight answered, “Yes, they are. King Sombra and I killed them. He took their magic and I ripped Celestia’s horn and wings off, and I stabbed her. King Sombra did the same thing to Luna.”
I said, “It’s true. And because Midnight killed with any regret, I’m making her my queen.”
Rabia asked, “If your wedding is tomorrow, where will every Umbrum stay?”
I told her, “I could make this castle bigger.”
My horn glowed with magic and the castle became ten times its size. I said, “Now there’s enough space for every Umbrum.”
Rabia asked so many questions, I wondered how the other Umbrums managed to live with her in that prison. If she wasn’t my mother, I would’ve blasted her out of here for asking so many questions.
Before she could ask another question, I teleported her to her room and I did the same with the other Umbrums.
Then, I went to my room with Midnight, and made it night. We got into our bed and I shut my eyes. Sleep was always better with Midnight next to me. She was as soft as a pillow, and as warm as the warmest thing I ever had felt.
After spending twelve hours asleep, I woke up. The first thing I did was, walk into the balcony, put the sun in the sky, and lower the moon.
If plants didn’t need sunlight to grow, I wouldn’t bother raising the sun. I didn’t care about the plants, (I never did, and I never will) but I cared about my food. I walked back into my room and saw Midnight sleeping. She looked so cute, sleeping like that.
I was thinking of getting more sleep, when I remembered that our wedding was today, at 03:45 PM.
And now, it was 11:50 AM. I still had to have a shower, do my morning things, check on the clothes, rings, flowers, decorations, send out the invitations, and have another shower.
So, I decided to get started. I went into the bathroom and did my morning things. I had a shower, dried myself, and then went back into my room. I shook Midnight awake.
She opened her eyes and asked, “What’s the emergency?”
I told her, “Our wedding and your coronation is today at 03:45 PM! And now it’s 12: 15 PM! You have to send all the invitations, and then have a shower and do your morning things!”
She jumped out of bed, and got a pile of invitations out. She used magic to quickly write- “You are invited to come to the wedding of King Sombra and Midnight Terror at 03:45 PM this afternoon.”
Then, she sent them. After sending it, she flew into the bathroom and started her morning things. I teleported to a room in the castle where I told the white unicorn to make new armor, capes and crowns. She was sitting there, waiting for me.
As soon as she saw me, she bowed and said, “King Sombra, I have finished making that which you have asked me to.”
I said, “Show it.”
The unicorn stood and then got a box. She opened it, showing new capes, crowns, and armor. I looked at them and said, “They look fine enough.”
And then, I took them with me and teleported to the ring makers shop. After getting the Crystal horn-rings, I teleported to my throne room to check on the decorations.
The whole throne room was covered in red banners saying Happy Wedding. I told the pony it looked fine, and then I teleported to the dragon. I gave the ring boxes to him and then, I teleported to my room.
I looked at the clock. It was 03:00 PM, which meant that there was 45 minutes left. Midnight came out of the bathroom, with a crystal shine on her.
I gave her armor and cape to her, and then I put everything else on the table and ran into the bathroom.
I turned the shower on and let it wet my fur completely. Then, I used a crystal shine shampoo and soap. Twenty minutes later, I exited the bathroom and dried myself with a drying spell.
Then, I put my armor, cape and crown on. I kept Midnight’s crown under my cape, and then the both of us went to the throne room for our wedding.
We walked to the middle of the room where the dragon was. He started his speech by saying, “Fillies and Gentlecolts, we are gathered here today to witness the union of two souls. King Sombra, do you accept this mare as your wife?”
I said, “I do.”
He asked Midnight, “Do you accept this stallion as your husband?”
Midnight answered, “I do.”
The dragon gave our rings, and after we had put them on each other’s horn, he said, “Then I now declare you as husband and wife! You may now kiss the bride!”
And I did that. I kissed Midnight with all my love, and she kissed me too. As soon as our lips touched, flowers and confetti were being sprinkled on us. Our kiss lasted for as long as it could, before we had to break it for air.
Then the dragon said, “We are also here for a second reason. And that is, for the coronation of Midnight Terror as King Sombra’s queen.”
I got Midnight’s crown, and put it on her head. As soon as I did, her fur turned dark purple, her wings became bigger, and her mane and tail turned dark purple, and dark blue. It was black around the edges, and became longer.
When she opened her eyes, they were darker than before. When she gave me a smile, I saw that she had fangs like me. I loved how evil she looked. And now, it was time for cake!
I got a cake knife out of thin air, and cut half of the cake. Midnight cut the other half, and then she used a spell to give every pony and umbrum their piece of cake.
It was a chocolate cake, made out of melted crystals and crystal dust. I was about to start eating my piece, when Midnight cut a piece of hers and stuffed it in my mouth.
I nearly choked on it, but I managed to swallow it without dying. I assumed that it was something that married ponies do, so I did the same to Midnight.
Only, I didn’t choke her. After cake, it was time for dancing. The music started, and I started dancing with Midnight.
I got out of bed and raised the sun, after lowering the moon. Then, I got back into bed, and kissed Midnight. She woke up and kissed me. We made it a long deep kiss. We were still into it, when somepony knocked on the door. I was annoyed but still asked, “Who dares to knock on MY door?”
I heard a voice stutter, “C-can I p-please s-see Queen Midnight? I-I really need to-to ask her a q-question.”
I asked Midnight, “Do you recognize that voice?”
She nodded, “It’s probably Scootaloo.”
I said, “Come in.”
An orange mare and a purple dragon walked in. They bowed, and then the mare said, “Queen Midnight, Spike and I love each other.”
Midnight asked, “Is that why you came?”
The dragon said, “We have come to ask permission to marry each other.”
The mare asked, “So can we?”
Midnight gave them permission. “Yes, you can.”
The pair stuttered their thanks, and then bowed and left the room. After they went, we continued our kiss.
This time, we were really deep into it when a blue alicorn with a rainbow mane burst in. I was annoyed. I yelled, “Do you have any reasons for BURSTING into MY room? WITHOUT KNOCKING?”
The mare said, “Sorry your highnesses for bursting in like that, but I was just so excited!”
Midnight asked, “Excited about what?”
The mare sang, “I’m getting married! Soarin proposed to me last night, and I accepted!”
Midnight half yelled, “That’s great for you Rainbow-Dash, but I was having some SERIOUS business and you interrupted. You could’ve KNOCKED, even IF you WERE excited.”
The mare said, “Like I said, I apologize for not knocking, but I was just SO excited!”
I glared, “Leave.”
The mare bowed and left. After she left, I put a spell on the door so that nopony would be able to open it. Then, Midnight and I weren’t disturbed, until a pony came and knocked loudly. Very loudly. I opened it and saw a sky blue alicorn. I screamed, “This better be important Soarin’, or I’ll curse you to death.”
Soarin’ bowed, “My king, the pillars have arrived and are attacking.”
I yelled at him, “Then send the army, you fool!”
He said, “But I have my King. The pillars of Equestria are killing everypony in the army.”
“Where are they now?”
“They are in the throne room.”
After he said that, I teleported to my throne room, and true to his word, the six pillars of Equestria were there. When they saw me, Star swirl came forward and said, “Your rule ends now, Sombra.”
I laughed, “Oh really? Nopony can defeat me, don’t you know what I did to the two sisters? They were foolish. They made a huge mistake by thinking that they could defeat me, and now you are making the same mistake. I’ll give you a chance to leave, or I’ll destroy you.”
Star swirl made his choice. “We will not leave. I know what you did to Celestia and Luna. And what you did to Twilight.”
Midnight flew in. She said, “I don’t remember anypony called Twilight. My name is Midnight Terror. You know Star swirl, you and the other pillars should be in a museum now.”
Star swirl got ready to attack. His horn glowed, until Midnight flew and took all his magic. Star swirl fell to the floor, defeated.
The other pillars tried to attack, but we took their strength. All of them were defeated.
Midnight used a spell to turn them into stone, and then she walked to me. She said, “Those were so foolish thinking that they could defeat us. Nopony will ever defeat us. We will rule forever.”
I kissed her and said, “You’re right, my love. Our reign is one that will last forever. Our Reign Of Terror.”
