> Anon-A-Miss: A New Family > by PrinceOfDarkness > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Sunset's Rescue: Chapter 1. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Anon-A-Miss had been running rampant through CHS. Many friendships and relationships had been broken and destroyed by the smear campaign account. Anon-A-Miss had turned the entire school against each other. Every student had been affected. But the main person they had affected was Sunset Shimmer, the one blamed for the account. The rainbooms, Sunset's friends had rejected her and kicked her out of their friend group. Both Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna had tried to figure out who Anon-A-Miss was, but couldn't exactly figure it out. After the Battle Of The Bands, seeing how Sunset had changed her ways and became one of CHS's favorite students Luna had felt pure maternal love for Sunset. Seeing Sunset be attacked and threatened by every student except Flash and Fluttershy had made Luna furious. Not just at the students, but also Sunset's former friends for abandoning her. Luna just wanted to find Sunset, hug her and take her in as her daughter. If she could then she would. But she didn't want to scare Sunset off. She'd read through the girl's files and found some were faked. Had Sunset been alone for that long? She'd never had a family? Luna felt her heart break in two at the thought. Luna just wished she could pull Sunset into her arms and take all the pain away. Luna looked down at her work and tried to focus on it. She tried to shake Sunset out of her thoughts for now. "Don't worry Sunset...Soon, you'll have two loving mothers who'll love you ever so much and keep you safe." Luna thought to herself, smiling all the while at her sunshine girl. Sunset sat on a bench in Canterlot Park, a pen in hand as she conversed with Twilight in her journal. She closed the journal and sobbed into her hands, shivering from the cold. Why did Anon-A-Miss do this to her? Why did they have to ruin her life? Her friendships? The only ones who were on her side were her ex-boyfriend Flash and Fluttershy. She didn't have a home to go back to. She had an apartment, but she was going to be evicted within the month. Her entire life, she never had a family to spend time with. People who loved her and cared for her. She'd started to view Vice-Principal Luna as a sort of parental figure, but was too ashamed to tell her. Sunset just wished she had a family to be home with. Now that her friends had abandoned her, she was alone again. She had Flash, but couldn't face him because of her shame for how she treated him. She also had Fluttershy but couldn't face her either, not after she betrayed her. She couldn't go back to Equestria, she couldn't face Celestia just yet. Sunset hung her head and cried in her hands. As Luna took a walk in the park to clear her thoughts and relax, she faintly heard sobbing. Out of concern, she walked in the direction of the sobbing and found Sunset crying. Out of her maternal instincts, she pulled Sunset into her arms as the teen sobbed heartbrokenly. Luna lovingly ran her hand through Sunset's hair and rubbed her back to comfort her. Luna's heart broke at Sunset's sobs and whimpers. She shushed the teen and let the girl sob into her arms. Her actions something akin to that of a mother's. Luna loved Sunset as if she were her own daughter. As Luna hugged Sunset, she pulled her phone out of her pocket and sent a text to her girlfriend Chrysalis to let her know she would be bringing Sunset home with her. Luna had decided to bring Sunset home with her so that she and Chrysalis could take care of her and adopt her as their daughter. Sunset needed to have a family. It wouldn't benefit her to be all alone all the time. She needed some to confide in, someone to trust, make her feel safe, loved and trusted. Anon-A-Miss had gone too far by driving Sunset out of CHS. The school was the only place Sunset felt safe at. Now not even the school could give her safety. Once she, Chrysalis and Celestia found out who Anon-A-Miss were, they would face serious punishment. Not only for turning the students against each other, but for also spreading secrets and causing Sunset to suffer. But most importantly, they would be punished for hurting Sunset, her sweet little girl. Whenever she'd talked to Sunset, she always saw right through the girl's facade. No matter how mature Sunset tried to be she knew she was pretending. To try and seem strong and brave. Even their school's lunchlady Granny Smith had seen through the girl's facade and had too become worried for her. Deep down Sunset was just a sweet little girl, afraid and needing a family. She knew Sunset was a teen and was meant to be mature, but she was still a child nonetheless. She needed someone to make her feel appreciated and wanted. Both she and Chrysalis were going to give Sunset that. A true loving family. Sunset leaned into her vice-principal's body, the comfort of Luna's warmth eased her and caused her to feel drowsy. She felt so relaxed, safe and comfortable in Vice-Principal Luna's arms. So warm and safe to the point she just wanted to fall asleep in her arms. Luna couldn't help but smile and hug Sunset tighter, smiling all the while. What Luna noticed was that Sunset had the exact same eye color and smile. She could've easily passed off as Luna's biological daughter. Luna led Sunset towards her car as they both climbed in and headed back to the school. They went to Sunset's locker to collect her books and her journal. Afterwards, they headed for Sunset's apartment and grabbed the backpack full of her clothes, her laptop and charger, her phone and charger and her headphones. Once Sunset's clothes had been put in the backpack, she followed Luna back to her car and they drove quietly back to Luna's home. Once the two made it back Safely, Luna went and found Sunset peacefully asleep, a small content smile on her lips as she slept. Luna dawwed and took a picture on her phone, wanting to treasure it and put it in a picture frame so she and Chrysalis could have a photo of Sunset. Even if it meant she was asleep and looking ever so peaceful. Luna carried the sleeping teen indoors, going back out briefly to get her backpack and other items. "Hey babe." Chrysalis said as Luna pecked her on the lips. The grey-skinned woman stared down at the girl and lovingly ran her hand through Sunset's hair, watching as the girl mumbled in her sleep. "How is she?" Chrysalis asked softly, watching over Sunset protectively. "Exhausted, poor thing." Luna whispered, as to not wake up the sleeping girl. Chrysalis took Sunset from Luna's arms and carried her up the stairs to a bedroom for Sunset to sleep in. Both Luna and chrysalis found a spare room upstairs to put Sunset's stuff in. Tomorrow they would paint her room's walls so Sunset could feel more at home and safe. Luna gently placed the teen on her bed. She walked over to the cabinet in the hallway and grabbed a blue blanket for Sunset. Luna watched the girl as she slept. Lovingly, she gently tucked the blanket around Sunset's curves in an attempt to make her as cozy and comfortable as possible. She gently leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to the girl's forehead. "Sleep tight, my sweet baby girl." Luna left the room as she looked at the girl one last time, before leaving the room to let the teen sleep in peace and quiet. Chrysalis quietly tiptoed out of the room to let Sunset sleep, following her girlfriend. > Bonding: Chapter 2. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The next morning, Luna went to check on Sunset, who was still fast asleep in her bed. The educator sat down on the girl's bed and lovingly ran her hand through Sunset's hair, gently combing through the strands. Sunset awoke to finding her head on Luna's lap as she felt a hand in her hair, gently gliding through it. "L-Luna? W-What are you doing?" Sunset slurred tiredly, wanting to go back to sleep. Dealing with Anon-A-Miss had taken a lot out of her. The educator smiled softly to the tired girl, smiling a maternal and motherly smile. Luna loved Sunset dearly as if she had carried her in her womb. Luna wanted to adopt the girl and be the mother she would need. "I'm taking care of you, Sunset. I found you crying on a bench in Canterlot Park yesterday. I know that Anon-A-Miss was the reason. I am sorry I did not do anything beforehand to assist you. From now on, I will help figure out who it is and clear your name. Why didn't you come to me or Celestia about it, though?" Luna asked softly, still running her fingers through the girl's hair to keep her relaxed. Luna and Sunset would have one-on-one conversations weekly regarding the bacon-haired teen's mental health. Over time, Luna had started to feel strong maternal instincts and motherly love for Sunset. Luna desired to be a parent one day, and with Sunset having nobody to take care of her it was almost like a perfect match. "I didn't deserve it." Sunset sniffed and looked away from her vice-principal, shame, regret and guilt behind her eyes. Deep down, she felt she didn't deserve love and that she wasn't wanted. Sunset had multiple bruises from attacks caused by other students. "Oh, Sunset, my sweet baby girl. You deserve so much. You deserve love and to have a family that loves you. If you are willing, I and my girlfriend Chrysalis would like to adopt you as our daughter. Would you like us to adopt you and take care of you as your mothers?" Luna asked sweetly, pressing soft kisses to Sunset's forehead. "Y-You want me?" Sunset whimpered. For her entire life, she'd been alone. She'd always been jealous of everyone else simply because they had a family. The main reason she originally wanted power was because she was seeking attention. She wanted praise, love and attention. The most selfless reason of all. "Of course I do, sweetie. You are very special to me. You have been like a daughter to me and I love you like my own, baby girl. I always will. You will always have a home here with me and Chrysalis. We will always love you, sweet girl, no matter what." Luna cooed, pulling the girl into her arms as Sunset sobbed. It broke Luna's heart to hear her baby girl cry and sob. Everything maternal in her screamed to protect and love Sunset. The girl was hurt by Anon-A-Miss, due to her friends, well, former friends betraying her. "C-Can I call you M-Mom? You've been like a mother to me." Sunset admitted, snuggling up against Luna as the educator began to gently scratch her back. Luna hummed lovingly into Sunset's ear. The two stayed like that for a while. Soon, Sunset calmed down and hugged Luna, wanting to be held. Luna returned the hug, pulling the girl's head to her chest. Sunset could hear Luna's heartbeat which subconsciously soothed her. The two went downstairs as they sat on the couch. Luna took notice of how Sunset was. The girl still looked a bit tired. Sunset could take a nap if she wanted to. "Baby girl, I can tell you're still a bit tired. Would you like to take a nap for a bit? I'll be here with you." Luna offered lovingly. Sunset nodded as Luna quickly got up and went to grab a blanket and pillow for her new daughter to use. Luna returned to the couch as Sunset laid her head over the pillow as she straightened her body out to get comfortable. Luna got up off the couch to let Sunset sleep. The new mother bent down and kissed her little girl's forehead softly. She then sat on the couch opposite to the left of the one Sunset was sleeping on. Luna watched the TV as she would glance at Sunset to make sure she was still asleep. > Sunset's Adoption: Chapter 3. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunset awoke to finding herself laying on top of Luna. She was cuddled into the woman's chest. However, she didn't want to leave and snuggled in tighter, wanting to be kept in the warmth of the woman. Luna merely ran her hand through Sunset's hair, lulling the girl into a state of peace and relaxation. Sunset felt so safe and comfortable that she fell asleep on the educator. Luna smiled and kissed Sunset's forehead as she gently removed the girl from her body. She got up as Sunset grabbed her in her sleep. Luna soothingly ran her hand over Sunset's cheek and laid her back down on the couch, pulling the covers over her body and tucking it around her body. As the educator was about to get ready for work, she was stopped by Chrysalis who kissed her softly before running her hand through Sunset's hair. The two of them smiled down at the sleeping girl. They were planning to adopt her. Once she woke up they would ask her if she would like them to be her new mothers. Luna loved Sunset as though she had carried the girl in her womb herself. Chrysalis planned to take Sunset out for the day and spend some time with her, understand her a bit better so she would be able to know what her adoptive daughter would like and dislike. She'd told Luna about the idea and the educator agreed to it. Sunset deserved to know what the love of a family felt like. The two of them would always protect her and keep her safe. A little while later, Sunset woke up and met Chrysalis. She'd learned that Luna was a lesbian and was dating her. She didn't judge her or Chrysalis and was happy for the both of them. Chrysalis and Sunset spent a while cuddling on the couch. The grey-skinned woman held Sunset exactly how Luna would. Both felt as warm and comfortable. Luna came into the room and squealed at the sight. She grabbed her phone and took a picture of the two. She gazed to the bland walls, desiring to place photos of the three of them as a family there to look at and remember. She could imagine pictures of the three at a diner, or going camping. Maybe even going to a nightclub. Luna started to imagine Sunset's graduation and her sweet baby girl getting her diploma. She imagined a bright and wonderful future for her soon-to-be daughter. She was brought out of her daydreaming when Sunset ran over and hugged the educator, nuzzling her happily. Luna kissed Sunset's forehead and hugged the girl to her body. Luna never got tired of hugging her sunshine girl. She remembered the adoption papers she and Chrysalis had signed. "Sunset, me and Chrysalis have something we want to show you." Luna began, walking over to the cabinet as she grabbed the papers within the folder encasing them. "Close your eyes." Chrysalis asked, Sunset obeying as the bacon-haired girl closed her eyes. Luna placed the folder full of papers in her hands and placed them into Sunset's own. "Now open them!" Luna gushed excitedly, full of excitement and joy. Sunset opened her eyes and looked at the folder. She opened it and went through the papers one by one. She noticed that both Chrysalis and Luna had signed their names. "T-These are adoption papers..." Sunset sobbed as started to cry, tears of joy streamed down her cheeks. She grabbed a pen from her back pocket and signed the papers. It was official, they were a family now. Both Luna and Chrysalis pulled the girl into their arms. Sunset comfortably snuggled into both of her new mothers. She'd always wanted a family and now she had one. "We both love you so much, our sweet baby girl." Luna cooed softly, kissing Sunset's forehead as she hugged and tickled her softly. Chryalis rubbed her back and ran her hand through her new daughter's hair. "I love you guys." Sunset croaked, her voice sore from sobbing. Both her adoptive parents kept on hugging her and showing her constant affection and praise. "We love you too, our little love bug." Chrysalis whispered affectionately. Eventually, it was time for bed and both the new mothers wanted their daughter to sleep between them. They wanted to be able to keep Sunset comfortable, warm and safe as she slept. Luna and Chrysalis climbed into their bed, beckoning Sunset to join them. The bacon-haired girl was unsure at first, but after remembering everything that Luna and now Chrysalis had done for her she owed them and it was the least she could do in return. Sunset tried to get comfortable between her two mothers. Luna on her left and Chrysalis on her right. Luna gave Sunset a kiss on the forehead and gently ran her hand through her baby girl's hair. Chrysalis merely smiled and gently squeezed Sunset, pulling her into a gentle hug. She eventually let Luna pull the girl into her arms and hug her. Sunset sighed in contentment as she snuggled into Luna's warm and gentle embrace. She slowly closed her eyes as she drifted off to sleep in her mother's arms. Luna smiled and kissed Sunset's nose, before giving her another kiss on the forehead. She then leaned over the girl and kissed Chrysalis. The two mothers gently shimmied around Sunset, using their bodies to provide her with enough warmth to sleep peacefully throughout the night. "Sleep tight, Sunset. We love you, our sunshine girl." Luna cooed to the sleeping girl, gently squeezing her hand. Eventually, Luna and Chrysalis fell asleep around their daughter. > Motherly Care: Chapter 4. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunset awoke, laying on top of Luna's body. She sighed and laid back down, not wanting to get up. She was content to stay in her mother's cozy, warm arms where it was safe and nothing could hurt her. Being cuddled soothed her. It helped her relax and calm down. Being in the arms of someone who loved and cared for her reassured her subconsciously. Sunset yawned, and nuzzled her mother's chest, earning a soft kiss to her forehead and her mother's gentle hand running softly through her hair. "Someone's comfortable." Luna cooed teasingly, enjoying the intimate contact with her daughter. Even though she was a teacher and Vice-Principal, she'd helped other children find their adoptive parents. It broke her heart every time. A possible son or daughter to love once again given to someone else. Now she had a daughter, someone she could relate to in some aspect. Sunset, like herself, was a rebellious child. She had the same liking of clothing as Chrysalis. The cyan-haired woman became another mother to Sunset who understood her. "Mhm." Sunset replied, nuzzling her mother as she curled into the woman's body. The redhead closed her eyes in a failing attempt to get back to sleep. Luna grinned, holding back the maternal urge to shower Sunset in kisses and shows of affection. She knew that Sunset was a special case due to her 'circumstances' of arrival at the school, but it didn't change the way she saw her sweet baby girl. She loved Sunset deeply and always would. She would be a better mother than her own. Her parents weren't very accepting of her dating Chrysalis, hence why she rarely spoke to them. "I love you, baby girl." Luna cooed, planting another kiss on her daughter's forehead. The two laid like that as they cuddled. Sunset wouldn't admit it, but the term of endearment that Luna called her meant a lot to her. Only Luna would ever be allowed to utter that word to her. The motherly educator lowered her head and looked down at the girl. She'd wanted to know more about Sunset's previous world that she'd lived in. "Sunset? If you're comfortable with it, can you tell me about Equestria?" Luna asked, waiting for a response. She lovingly ran her fingers through Sunset's hair, relaxing her sunshine girl. "Why do you wanna know?" Sunset asked, concerned as to why her mother would want to know about the world on the other side of the mirror portal. "I'm just curious, my sweet girl." Luna answered, wrapping her arms around Sunset, moving the girl's head from her chest, placing it on her shoulder as the girl snuggled further into her mother's embrace. "In Equestria, your counterpart is a princess who controls the moon and the night sky. Princess Luna can also see and interact with dreams. She can sense nightmares and stop them. She's an alicorn, which is a combination of pegasi, unicorns and earth ponies." Luna's eyes widened as the information sunk in. Her counterpart was a deity who could control the moon and the night sky. She wanted to know more about Equestria. "Sunset, you know how my sister is the principal of CHS, right? What is her counterpart?" The educator asked softly, curiosity in her voice as she spoke. The redhead went silent as the memories of being Princess Celestia's student came back to her. All the times she'd acted out in front of Princess Celestia just to get her attention. She wanted Celestia to be her mother, but the mare didn't feel the same way. Sunset sobbed, tears trickling down her cheeks as she looked away from Luna, not wanting pity. All she wanted was a mother's love. Celestia was the closest thing at the time she had to a mother figure. Luna's maternal instincts went into overdrive as she soothed her baby girl, kissing the top of her head and humming to her as she gently ran her fingers up and down the girl's arms. She comforted her distressed daughter as best she could. Eventually, Sunset calmed down enough to the point she buried her face in the crook of Luna's neck. The motherly educator smiled at the girl's playful antics. She loved when Sunset would open up like this, acting more childlike and playful. "Would you like to tell me what happened? What made you so upset?" Luna asked lovingly, her words like honey as her mother's voice lulled her into a state of relaxation. "Your sister's counterpart is a deity and princess who controls the sun. When I used to be her student, we'd often read and study together. I looked up to her and saw her as a mother figure. Well, she was my legal guardian and sort of stll is. When I once accidentally called her 'Mom' in public, she scolded me and told me that we could never be that. From there our relationship started to get worse." Sunset began, looking away from Luna in shame. The educator could tell that it heavily affected her sunshine girl. The pain in her words when she felt rejected by the princess broke her heart. "You don't have to tell me anymore if you don't want to." Luna soothed lovingly, not wanting Sunset to feel forced into telling her. "N-No, you're my mom, you deserve to know about my past. After our relationship got worse, she took in Cadance as her niece, who also became a princess. She treated Cady, or 'Big Sis' as I called her, more like a daughter than her niece. She was the perfect filly, well, girl to become a princess. After seeing all of the interactions between Cadance and Celestia, I read books in dark magic and snuck into the library at night. Princess Celestia found me and we argued. When we met again after that, I rebelled against her and fled through the portal. All I wanted from her was to be my mom. All I wanted was the love she showed Cadance to be shown to me!" Sunset sobbed, placing her head back in her mother's chest as she cried. Luna's heart broke when Sunset started to cry. She could feel her fury growing. Not towards Sunset, but towards the princess who broke her sunshine girl's heart. She wept for Sunset's pain and damaged childhood. The way that Sunset had been raised was one she despised. Sunset had been neglected when it was Princess Celestia's job to take care of her. "Oh, Sunset. My sweet baby girl. I had no idea your childhood was so heartbreaking." Luna sobbed, holding back tears as she pulled the redhead into her arms. Princess Celestia had fucked up with Sunset. Luna cuddled the now sleeping girl as she grabbed her phone and text Chrysalis about what Sunset had told her. When they'd have the chance to go to Equestria, not only would they visit to learn more about Sunset, she had something else in mind. She was going to have a chat with the princess. Luna grabbed her phone and informed Chrysalis about what Sunset had told her. Once the girl would wake up, she'd tell her that she'd told Chrysalis. Luna ignored the desire to harm her sister's counterpart and focused on watching over Sunset as the girl slept on her body. Soon enough, Luna had fallen asleep too, holding Sunset in her arms as mother and daughter slept. > Anon-A-Miss revealed: Chapter 5. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Luna sat at her desk, constantly refreshing the Anon-A-Miss page. They'd recently posted about another student. The Vice-Principal didn't know what to do. The account was also hurting her baby girl. That was something she wouldn't stand for. As a mother, her child's health, both physically and mentally, came before her job. Chrysalis had been informed about the account, and was using her resources to try and figure out where the MyStable account was posting from. Luna badly wanted the owner of the account to be identified. It was taking it's toll on her. Even though her job was taxing, she always looked forward to always seeing her little girl and her girlfriend at the end of the day. Being a mother had changed Luna for the better. Luna checked her phone to find that Chrysalis had texted her. The woman had traced the account and found where they were. The educator couldn't believe that the account was posting within the school. She felt guilty. The account had been under their noses the entire time. The blue-haired woman grinned happily, getting up as she traced the location of the account. The CMC were in one of the school computer rooms. They'd found it unlocked and entered during their free period as well as when they had their lunch times. "Guys ah don't think we should be postin' anymore. Ah know we're doing this ta get revenge on Sunset and get our sister back, but it's going too far. We need ta stop and delete the account." Apple Bloom said, feeling guilty for having caused many relationships and friendships to be destroyed. "Ever since our sisters have been friends with Sunset, they didn't spend much time with us because of her." Scootaloo added, clenching her fists. "Ah get it, Scoots. But we're taking things way too far. Ah don't like doing this." Apple bloom replied, sighing as she scrolled through the comments. Many of them were death threats towards Sunset. "Apple Bloom is right, Scootaloo. I don't wanna do this anymore." Sweetie Belle added, looking down in shame. "Fine," Scootaloo said, "But if this backfires, I'm blaming the both of you." She said. Both Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle nodded in agreement. "Crusaders forever." The three of them said in unison, preparing to leave and tell Principal Celestia that the account was the three of them. As they went to log out of the account, Luna burst into the room. She stared at the screen and the three freshmen who looked down in shame. "You three, my office. Now." Vice-Principal Luna growled, glaring at the three of them. How could they possibly think that making the account and posting the secrets of the students was okay? She sighed walked back to her office, the three girls trailing behind her. Principal Celestia had her back turned to the three freshman. Deep down, she was seething. How could the three of them think that they could get away with posting everyone's secrets. The educator spun her chair around, her fists tightly clenched. Her expression was blank as the three girls sobbed and sniffled. "I am extremely disappointed in the three of you. How could you post everyone's secrets and blame it on Sunset?" Principal Celestia asked, her voice laced with anger. "Sunset stole our sisters from us!" Scootaloo blurted out in anger. The pale-skinned educator glared at the three girls. Celestia turned to her younger sister. Luna had rotated her chair around, not wanting anyone to see what she was feeling. Deep down, Luna was seething with pure and unfettered maternal anger. The three of them thought they could do such a thing to her baby girl. The motherly educator wanted nothing more than be with her daughter. Alas, she couldn't. As soon as she and Sunset left school for the weekend, she planned to splash a fair bit of money on Sunset. For now, her time was spent interrogating the real Anon-A-Miss. All the students had been called to an assembly in the hall. The real Anon-A-Miss would be revealed and Sunset's name would be cleared. "Good afternoon, students. Today, Anon-A-Miss have revealed themselves and confessed. The account was not Sunset Shimmer." Luna declared. At that statement, almost all of the students jeered and booed at her. "Enough!" Celestia yelled, silencing the crowd. "Will Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo please come to the front of the stage?" She requested. The three pre-teens nervously walked over to the stage, their heads low as to not see the reactions of the staff and their sisters. Raven, Celestia's secretary, brought out a laptop for the three of them to use. Celestia put it on a table, waiting for them to confess to the entire school. Eventually, Apple Bloom logged into the account and made one final post. "Mah name is Apple Bloom, and ah am Anon-A-Miss." "My name is Sweetie Belle, and I am Anon-A-Miss." "My name is Scootaloo, and I am Anon-A-Miss." Once the post had been made, everyone's phone had been sent the message. The eyes of the students widened in shock as many went quiet. Those who believed it was Sunset sniffled with guilt. With the post sent, the younger farm girl deleted the account. "The three of them will be punished accordingly by their families." Principal Celestia said, glaring at the three girls. The account was finally gone. "You all had a part to play by sending out secrets of your fellow students. We have lists of names of those who helped send and spread secrets to Anon-A-Miss. Your punishments will be decided shortly." Celestia said coldly. With the message clear to them all, she sent them back to their classes except for Sunset. "Luna, I can tell you want to be with her. You can go home early today. She needs someone to be there for her whilst she deals with the loss and betrayal." Celestia offered, smiling warmly at her sister. She wanted to spend some time with her niece. Celestia knew she'd have time during the Christmas break. Luna went to her office briefly to grab her car keys and her coat. She met up with Sunset who was barely holding back tears. The motherly educator noticed. It broke her heart to see her baby girl suffer in such a way. Once they were out of school, both of them climbed into Luna's car. The drive home was eerily silent. Once the both of them had made it home, they sat on one of the couches. Luna wrapped her arms around Sunset and pulled her into a tight hug. Sunset couldn't take it anymore and cried into her mother's chest. Luna felt tears begin to pool in her eyes. She wept for her daughter's pain. "Oh, honey," Luna began, "Mom's here, baby girl. I've got you." Luna cooed softly, comforting her heartbroken child. Sunset kept sobbing into her chest. Chrysalis soon arrived home. The teal-haired woman found her girlfriend cuddling their daughter. Both of them had been crying. Luna explained what had happened to Chrysalis, who clenched her fists in anger before sitting on Sunset's other side. "My little love bug. Momma's here." Chrysalis whispered softly, soothing her crying child. Both of them hated seeing Sunset so upset. Chrysalis pulled the redhead into her arms as she cuddled the girl. She was just as maternal towards the girl as Luna was. Sunset cuddled deeper into her other mother's arms, wanting to be held tighter. The three of them went to Luna and Chrysalis' shared bedroom. Both adoptive parents held Sunset between their bodies, soothingly whispering to her until she fell asleep. Both mothers watched over the sleeping girl, eventually falling asleep themselves. > A Mother's Comfort: Chapter 6. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunset awoke as she found herself atop her mother's body. After what had transpired yesterday, she'd fallen asleep in her mother's arms. Luna moved her right hand and placed it on Sunset's back, stroking it gently as she moved it to the girl's head, running her hand through her baby girl's hair. "Morning, baby girl. How did you sleep?" Luna asked softly, kissing Sunset's forehead as the girl nuzzled into her body. After what her sunshine girl had been through, she planned to spend some quality mother-daughter bonding time with Sunset. "Still upset about the Anon-A-Miss thing, huh?" Luna asked comfortingly, not moving from her position. She was comfortable enough and Sunset needed comfort. "Yeah. I just...I don't know why they'd do that to me. I didn't mean to steal their sisters." Sunset said, sighing as she closed her eyes and laid her head over her mother's chest, not wanting to get up right now. Luna looked down at her baby girl with a warm, loving gaze. She kissed Sunset's forehead and lovingly rubbed her cheek with her palm. "It wasn't your fault. They should've talked to their sisters about how they felt, not try to use you as a scapegoat." Luna stated. A look of anger came over her features. Her gaze softened as she looked down at her now distraught daughter. Luna pulled Sunset deeper into her body, a protective instinct taking hold of Luna as she pulled the covers over her sunshine girl, making sure she was warm, comfortable and safe. The bacon-haired girl sighed and felt her eyes droop. She was still tired. Luna looked at her little girl with sympathy and love, kissing Sunset's cheek, nose and forehead as the girl sighed in contentment at the maternal treatment being shown to her. Sunset looked around for her other mother, Chrysalis. The woman had become a second mother to her, caring for her and treating her like she was her own young. Well, she was. She'd been adopted by both of the women. "I can tell you're still exhausted. You can rest your eyes if you want, baby girl." Luna offered, cooing at her adoptive daughter. Sunset felt her body become warm every time her mother, Luna, called her that phrase. It felt so relaxing and comforting to be called such a sweet and loving nickname. "Wanna watch a movie, sweetheart?" Luna asked softly, holding her adoptive daughter tight. Not enough to cause discomfort but enough to tell Sunset that she was safe and protected in her mother's arms. Sunset noticed that the remote for the TV was on the stand underneath the screen that was hooked on the wall. The redhead used her magic as she used her palm and concentrated on focusing her magic to grab the remote. Slowly, the rectangular piece of plastic and metal was encased in a golden grip as it floated into her hand. She looked back at her mother who had a stunned expression on her face. "Sunset...that was incredible!" Luna exclaimed, her voice filled with love and pride. She gently hugged her daughter who leaned in to the affectionate touch, craving it even moreso. "T-Thanks mom. I-I've been nervous about using it. I rarely try to use it in this world. It mainly works when I play music." Sunset said, smiling as she basked in the maternal praise of her mother. Luna found a movie for the both of them as they watched it. Throughout the film, Sunset found herself between a state of being awake yet asleep. She gazed at her mother who looked back at her with adoration. "Aww, is someone sleepy?" Luna teased affectionately, knowing full well her daughter was tired and needed to sleep. "N-No?" Sunset replied timidly, her cheeks blushing in denial. She was tired, but didn't want to admit it. Luna grinned, knowing that Sunset was trying to seem that she wasn't exhausted. "Are you sure? Or would you like me to sing to you until you fall asleep?" Luna offered warmly. The motherly educator watched Sunset's eyes droop, indicating she'd fall asleep any second. Gently, the blue-skinned woman ran her hand through the redhead's hair as she sung a gentle tune, lulling Sunset to sleep in her arms. The bacon-haired girl nuzzled her chest sleepily as her eyes closed, drifting off to sleep within her mother's embrace. Luna looked down at her now sleeping daughter. Smiling softly, she kissed her baby girl's forehead as Sunset smiled in her sleep. The motherly educator took a photo of the girl, saving it as a memory. Eventually, Luna herself fell asleep as mother and daughter slept peacefully within one another's embrace. > Reassurance. Chapter 7. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The family of three were in Luna and Chrysalis' bedroom, watching a movie on the Flat-Screen TV. Both of the older women were cuddling, Sunset laying between them, her mind in thought. The sound of the movie became nothing but background noise to her. The blue-haired woman looked down at her charge, concerned for her baby girl. She jabbed Chrysalis who looked over at their daughter. "Sunset?" Luna asked softly, Chrysalis lowered the volume and gazed at Sunset with motherly concern. Sunset snapped out of her thinking tirade and looked over at her mother. "Yeah?" She replied nervously. Luna chuckled, pressing a kiss to the girl's forehead as Chrysalis did the same. To them, Sunset was their baby girl. "Are you alright? You seemed distant." Luna asked gently, tickling her baby girl's back. She and Chrysalis enjoyed bonding with Sunset like this. She'd grown closer to the both of them after they'd adopted her. Sunset sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "I still can't believe this is real. It feels too much like a dream, like I have a family." The flame-haired girl admitted, lowering her head in guilt. Luna and Chrysalis looked at one another in concern before focusing on their sunshine girl. How could she still think that being part of their family was a dream? Luna had a feeling that the princess Sunset had told her about was behind this. "Honey, look at me." Luna asked softly, wanting her baby to look at her. Sunset raised her head to meet Luna's eyes. Instead of anger, the woman's eyes were filled with nothing but compassion and love. "We promise you, Sunset, that this is not a dream. You're here, with us, right now. This is all real, Sunset. I know we're not perfect and won't always get along. We'll make it work and we'll get through it together. As a family. You're our sweet baby girl and there is nothing you can say or do that would make us think otherwise." Luna soothed lovingly, pulling Sunset into her lap. The blue-haired mother snuggled the girl into her lap and cradled her tightly, an act of love and reassurance. Chrysalis leaned over and joined in, wrapping an arm behind Luna's back. The other arm placed on Sunset's head, gently playing with her hair. "M-Mama." Sunset croaked weakly, "Please don't leave me. Don't abandon me, please." Sunset begged, tears of pain in her eyes. She clung on tighter to Luna, sobbing into her chest. Both Luna and Chrysalis felt tears form in their eyes. The blue-haired mother tightened her grip on Sunset, hushing the girl as she kissed her forehead. "We'll never abandon you, Sunset. We love you so much and want nothing but the best for you. Being your mom brings me so much joy and pride. You always make the both of us ever so proud of you. This is not a dream, Sunset. That, we promise you. We are your mothers and we love you so much." Luna said sweetly, kissing the girl's forehead, humming to Sunset as she rocked the girl back and forth. After all, in Luna's mind, Sunset was her baby. Chrysalis joined in. "Lovebug, you have been the best thing in the both of our lives. Being with Luna and you has made my life so much better. Having you in my life makes it so much brighter. Even if you fall, Sunset, you can be as sure as hell we'll be the ones to catch you. We will always support and protect you, our little sun." Chrysalis added, running her hand over Sunset's scalp, playing with her hair. Sunset sniffled, wiping her eyes as she went to snuggle with Chrysalis, which the grey-skinned woman happily accepted. To Sunset, she loved the both of them equally. Sunset let her eyes close as she relaxed in the motherly embrace. "Momma Chrysalis." Sunset mumbled sleepily, a small smile on her lips as she cuddled deeper into the woman's arms. The grey-skinned woman smiled and kissed Sunset's forehead. "Yep, I'm your Momma Chrysalis, little lovebug." Chrysalis cooed lovingly, her inner mother being released as she held the girl tightly in her arms. Luna couldn't help but smile at the sight at both her girlfriend and baby girl bonding. They were a family and would stick together, no matter what. Sunset eventually woke up and went to cuddle with Luna. The blue-skinned mother gently poked at Sunset's side and tickled her body, eliciting the girl to let out a high-pitched childish squeal of delight. "M-Mama, stop!" Sunset giggled, trying to escape her mother's powerful grip. However, she failed. Luna grinned at her baby girl laughing in joy. It warmed her heart to see Sunset so happy and smiling. Both mother and daughter laughed softly, enjoying having such an intimate time. To Luna, Sunset was her baby girl and let her be exactly that. She knew that deep down, Sunset was her sweet little girl who missed out on a proper childhood. Playing with her like this was her way of giving it back to Sunset. Soon, Luna relented and let her sunshine girl relax and calm down. Sunset snuggled up to her mother as the blue-skinned woman wrapped her arms around her. She felt so delicate and fragile and she loved it. She felt safe and secure in her mother's arms. Nothing could disturb her state of bliss. Feeling content and sleepy, she rested more comfortably against her mother's body. After all, she was protected, safe and secure in her beautiful, loving and amazing mother's arms. Nothing would be able to hurt her. Relaxed, warm and comfortable, she snuggled into her mama's chest, laying her head on the softest pillows in all of Equestria. Her exhaustion caught up to her, wrapping her in a bundle of warmth, softness and drowsiness. Her eyes closing as she drifted off to sleep, a peaceful smile on her lips. Lulled to sleep by the warmth of her mama, her soothing heartbeat and a hand running through her hair.
