Twilight and few of her friends find themselfs in a different world.
Twilight Sparkle, the ruler of Equestria wakes up in another world, drastically different from hers. Her look is changed, the room where she sleeps is different, everything is different!
She and few of her best friends discover that they're trapped in a weird dream. Will they escape or stay asleep forever? Also, where's Luna when you need her the most?
(This story takes place after the last episode of Season 9!) (Also, the tag 'main 6' is added because most of the main characters are in the story, even though one is missing!)
Twilight Sparkle is the current ruler of Equestria. This sure was a difficult job that only the best characters can handle. Luna, Celestia, Cadance, Shining, Flurry, Novo, Thorax. All those rulers.. Their job as rulers is not as easy as it looks, but still, they somehow manage to do their job with almost no problem. Twilight however, was the ruler of Equestria, a big big country, not like Thorax or Cadance's family, who had only one small castle, or an entire empire.
"Hey, Twilight!!"
"HUH?!" Twilight jumped out of her throne. She was falling asleep. Thank the stars that Spike woke her up in time, otherwise she would have fallen from the throne. "What's the matter, Spike?" Twilight said as she yawned.
"Well, uh, it's nothing special. It's just that.. it's getting late, and you should get sleep. So tomorrow you will be ready for your morning duties!" The dragon said with a smile.
"Aw thanks, Spike! I'm really proud to have you as my Royal advisor." Twilight said to her friend with a tired voice. Then, she headed to her bedroom, to get some rest.
But then.. she realized something. The sun was down, but it was still there.. The moon wasn't up! Twilight clearly forgot that Celestia and Luna aren't in charge anymore, and that she's the one who needs to lower the sun and raise the moon. She teleported herself on one of the balconies, to get better view of the sun and a better place of raising the moon. The queen looked around, many creatures were waiting to see the moon being raised from the new Queen. All of them looked curious to see what's exactly gonna happend. Is Twilight gonna fail on raising the moon all by herself? Or.. not?
Twilight was nervous. She was sweating from the little stress she had for today. Then she sighed, closed her purple eyes and focused on her 'Moon-raising Spell'. It was obviously a difficult spell to cast, but still, it was a really REALLY important one.
One, two, three... four..
After Twilight opened her eyes, she sighed in relief. The big shiny moon was far far away in the sky. It filled the streets and forests with the magical moonlight that every nightbird loved.
"Oh," The tired queen looked at the moon, with a slight smile on her face. "that was unexpectedly easy! Oh well, time to go to bed now." Then the alicorn headed again to her bedroom, where she was going in the first place.
7:59pm
When she got there, her bed was already done for her. The queen felt pleased about that. Finally, she crashed on her cozy bed and wrapped herself with the fluffy sheets. Finally the time to get some real sleep. But.. something still bothered her.
Someone was banging on the window, it was dark so who could it be at that time? Twilight opened the window and.. it was another one of those.. 'crazy fans' of hers. Even tho she, as a queen had to be patient with those, she still had that annoying feeling inside. The crazy fans, like, the 'really' crazy ones were the most annoying out of every ones.
"Ugh, i just hope that this will be the last time i'll be shooing away those... fans.." Twilight thought to herself and layed down in her bed again, falling asleep in the process.
The begining of her dream was nothing out of the ordinary. This dream was more like a memory in repeat. It was her and her best friends, singing the last song that they sang together in a year. Ah, the good memories.. But still, this was a dream, so this specific scene in her memory-dream appeared a little more.. wholesome than it already looked before. It wasn't something creepy or anything, but it was still something. An ordinary wholesome dream! What more can anybody wants than that?
Then Twilight remembered that sense she is infact the current Equestria ruler, and that she's even more powerful, it would be possible that she might be able to travel between dreams. Just like Luna did! When she got in Pinkie's dream she noticed that the dream looked familiar.. It was like a memory from when she was an ordinary unicorn. And then, Twilight decided to get closer to hear the conversation between Pinkie and 'Past!Twilight'.
"Oh, hey Twilight! Have you seen Rainbow Dash anywhere?"
That sentence surprised the current Twilight alot. It did happend, but that sentence was a little bit different. It was another 'memory-like' dream. Twilight wasn't concerned that Pinkie was having a memory-dream too, because it's really been a while sence she lastly saw her friends. But now, Twilight had to teleport herself into another dream, to make sure that things are alright and there's no nightmares. Her horn shined once more. She teleported herself in the dream void, where she could see all dreams that exist right now.
"Oh, there's so many dreams!" Twilight's eyes shined. "And! Thank the stars that there's no sigh of nightmares today!" The alicorn giggled to herself. There really was no sigh of any nightmare. "Hey, let's take a look at Flurry's dream! I haven't checked on her in a while.. It won't be bad if i visit her in her dreams, right?"
The queen teleported herself in her niece's dream. It was an endless walk in a crystal cave. When Twilight decided to talk to Flurry, she teleported herself infront of her and interrupted her walk. Flurry Heart was clearly surprised to see her aunt in her dream.
"Oh, aunt Twilight?" The crystal princess asked. "What are you doing here? How did you got here? And.. how did you know that i was here in the first place..?"
Twilight Sparkle laughed cheerfully. "It's a pretty short story if you ask me!" Twilight said. "Pretty much i decided to visit you in your dreams, nothing bad."
Flurry's eyes got wider. She didn't even realized until now that she was dreaming. That was a pretty common thing to happend when you fell asleep and start dreaming. You forget what's reality and what's not, and that's exactly what happend to Flurry Heart right now. "O-oh.." The alicorn teen felt a little akward. "Man, i forgot that this is a dream.. And a pretty beautiful one to be honest!"
"Yeah." Twilight agreed. "Now, i need to go and make sure there's no nightmares anywhere!" The alicorn queen looked at the ceiling, where a night-sky themed portal was probably waiting for her to enter. Then she looked back at her dear niece and hugged her. "It was nice to see you, Flurry."
"It was great to see you too, auntie!"
Then Twilight let her go. Flurry continued with her walking thrue the crystal cave, until she got lost from Twilight's sight. Twilight waved at the crystal princess for goodbye and entered the portal.
Then the whole world around Twilight became dark, dark as the space. Only the little dots, resebling stars were giving a little light in the seemingly endless void. The queen felt a little confused, because she didn't find any dreams, good or not.
Then Twilight gasped when she heard a sudden noice. It was her morning alarm. It was morning already and she had to raise the sun. The queen yawned and walked to the bathroom, to wash her face and use the bathroom in general.
"Maybe," She yawned again. "it won't be a bad idea if i take a quick shower.. That won't cost me anything, i guess."
5:30am
After ten minutes of taking a shower, Twilight got out of the bathtub and headed to the sink, to brush her teeth. She couldn't see her reflection, because the mirror was steamy. The tired alicorn decided to wipe the mirror, so she could see herself better. But when she did wiped the mirror.. there was something different about her. Her hairstyle has changed a little. It was shorter that before, and her face looked alot younger.
Twilight was very confused about her new look. Then she began to think about it: Was someone playing a weird prank on her?Or has someone sneaked into her room and ruined her looks for some odd reason?
The alicorn didn't have an answer related to her new looks, so she just decided to ignore it. But then, after she looked away from the mirror, the queen noticed that her room has changed alot. The alarm clock looked more technological and the bed had dark colored pallets. The walls looked really metalic too..
Twilight got even more confused. She teleported herself into the balcony of her room, to see if there's something wrong outside.
"Oh.. Oh my.."
The alicorn was even more confused. This wasn't Canterlot. It was another city, looking more futuristic and technological than the Equestrian known places. Twilight looked around in shock, everything was so different and almost unrecognizable. Then, she heard something from her room. Her ear twiched as she heard the weird buzzing sound.
"What's that?" Twilight asked herself.
On the drawer, which was close to her bed, there was a.. small flat.. box? In the form of a rectangle. Twilight didn't really had an idea on what it is, until she remembered. In the human world they had those.. phones! Yeah, those rectangle flat boxes were called phones.
"Okay, maybe i need to answer.. somehow?" The alicorn began to think. "Oh, maybe i'll just use magic to answer it! I guess that'll work too, without using my hooves." Then her horn sparkled up and purple-pink aura wrapped around the little phone and she answered it. Then Twilight leaned her ear to the phone and asked.
"Hello?"
A robotic voice started to speak from the device.
"Good morning, Twilight! Sure it is a great day to take a walk outside, don't you think?" The robotic voice said with a slight happy tone.
"Um, i guess?" Twilight got confused once again. "Hey, how do you know my name?"
"Are you joking with me, Twilight? We've been friends for a long time." The voice continued on talking. " Or.. maybe your memories kinda got deleted? If so, i'm Sweetie Belle--"
Twilight hanged up. She didn't expect that voice to be infact Sweetie Belle. The little sister of one of her best friends, Rarity. The alicorn mare shook her head. Many things came up on her mind. Was she still dreaming? Did something wrong happend with the dream traveling? Or did she got somehow transported into another world or universe?
"I need to go and see the other five!" Twilight shouted as the attempted to fly. But she couldn't. She looked at her back and got shocked. Her wings were gone, just like that. They didn't look removed because there wasn't even a small scar. In stress, the mare started walking around in circles and mumbled something to herself. Then she tried to calm herself down. It wasn't really the perfect time to panic, it was more of a.. time to 'take action'.
"Okay! Maybe everything outside has changed, but it's possible that my friends are still the same as the last time i saw them! I hope.."
After that, Twilight ran from her room, away from her.. house? She wasn't in the Canterlot castle anymore.. she was, in a building, similar to her first home.
"Whoah.. This place sure IS different." Twilight thought to herself again. She looked at the building, with quite a feeling of nostalgia.
"Twilight!!"
She heard someone's voice. Twilight recognized it from before, because it was that same robotic voice she heard on the phone. It was the robotic voice of the now robot Sweetie Belle. The little unicorn was running towards Twilight Sparkle.
"Sweetie Belle?!" Twilight shouted. The mare was really surprised to see that version of the unicorn in flesh. Or.. in 'pure metal'?
"Yes, Twilight. It is me. I'm really curious on why do you act surprised.. Actually, it's not only you!" That last sentence got Twilight's attention the most. Noticing that, the Robotic Sweetie Belle asked the mare if she wants to take a seat. Twilight agreed, and asked Sweetie if she could continue talking. "So, few other ponies woke up with a sudden 'amnesia' or something.. They're not hurt or anything! They just woke up, i called them to wish them a 'good morning', like i always do, you know? But, when i called them on the phone, including you, they all seemed surpried or just hanged up."
"Okay, but, who are these ponies exactly, Sweetie Belle?! Please, tell me!" Twilight worringly asked the robotic pony. She answered.
"Well, those ponies were Celestia, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. Actually, when i think about it again, the first three hanged up, PInkie was the one who stayed in touch with me on the phone for a little longer than twenty seconds.."
"Then let's find them first! You'll help me, Sweetie, right?" Twilight looked the robot in the eye. Sweetie looked back and nodded in agreement. "Thank you! Now, can you tell me where is Applejack's home.. in this world?"
Sweetie Bell placed her front right hoof on her chin and she began to think. A second later, a clear bell sound effect could be heard from nowhere. It was Sweetie's idea sound that it played when she got an idea whenever she was thinking.
"She's probably still at the Apple Factory! She and her small family never leave this big place."
What?! 'Apple Factory'?? 'Small family'? What is this world really???
"Okay, lead the way, Sweetie Belle!"
The little robot then galloped away, Twilight followed the way.
It didn't took them so long when they found themselfs infront of the building, which was Applejack's Apple Factory. Twilight looked at the building with wide eyes, thinking that it looks a bit like an alternative timeline version of the Sweet Apple Acres that she saw before, back when she was still a rival with Starlight Glimmer.
Twilight heard Applejack's voice from the distance.
"TWILIGHT!!"
Then she saw her, it sure was Applejack, but.. she looked alot younger and her mane was cut short. When the earth pony was right infront the two ponies, she looked at them closely, with a confused expression.
"Twilight? Sweetie?!" The earth pony continued on looking at them, first at Twilight, then at Sweetie. "Wait! Twilight, why do you look so.. young? And you, Sweetie Belle! What happened to you?!"
"I'm a robot?" Sweetie answered with her robotic, yet still melodic voice. "I'm still surprised that you guys don't have an idea on what a 'robot' is." Both Applejack and Twilight looked at the robotic pony once again. Sweetie then decided to explain her backstory, because she thought that this will help the two ponies to 'return their memories'. "Let's sit on that bench over there!" She pointed at a wooden bench, placed right under the window. They sat and Sweetie Belle started telling her story;
"Everything started with my sister, Rarity. She was just a lonely fashionista, when one day, while she was working, a bright light appeared and disappeared for a second or three. Then she found some kind of cracked piece of rock in her workroom. Out of curiousity, she touched it with her hoof, which made this rock shine really bright. Then, there was me! She had to explain to her family about me and some time later, she adopted me as a legal sister. After that, she became obsessed not only with fashion, but with technological things. She, infact, was the first one to recommend this town to become the way that is now. And then, an year later, you two, and three more mares came here, and made me even more happy than i already was."
The robotic pony sighed, without exhaling a breath and lowered her head down.
"But today.. you guys lost your memories, somehow.. And i'm not even sure telling this story could help."
Applejack frowned and patted Sweetie Belle on the shoulder.
"Everything will be okay, everyone! Don't frown." Twilight called and got up from the bench, full of energy. "We need to really understand this place! And by that, we need to find Pinkie and the others. Sweetie Belle, you know where they are, right?"
"C'mon, sugarcube! Chin up and let's go with Twilight." Applejack smiled at the robot, which made her smile back. "And now, let's find Pinkie and the other ponies!"
The three mares galloped towards the big town. Another adventure was waiting for them!
"So, uh.. Where does Pinkie lived again, Sweetie?" After Twilight asked her question, Sweetie Belle told them to follow her to the SugarCube Bakery.
When they got there, it looked almost like the SugarCube Corner in the real world, but the color pallets were more pastel-type like than the original. It also had an extra floor, with probably even more rooms inside.
The censors on Sweetie Belle's plastic and metal eyes detected Pinkie's siluette thrue one of the windows of the bakery. Pinkie, who was indeed watching from the window, galloped downstairs and jumped outside to tightly hug the mares who wanted to see her.
"Oh my gosh you guys! I'm so so happy to see you again!" Pinkie Pie cried happily as she continued hugging her best friends.
"Thanks for the hug, Pinkie." said the robotic filly, smiling.
Then the pink mare let them go, and she wiped her tears.
"I am really REALLY glad that i'm seeing you guys. Like, when i woke up i felt different, but i didn't expect it to be THAT different, like, my mane and tail are down and i don't even feel sad, my room is changed, the whole bakery, the town, it's people, you guys too, and even our cutie marks! Like, mine's just a single baloon. Not that there's something wrong with that, just wanted to point it out."
"Oh Pinkie.. So anyway, have you seen Lil' Cheese and Cheese Sandwich around?" Twilight asked her friend nervously.
The pink mare put her hoof on her chin. Then she sighed.
"Nope. I couldn't find them anywhere.. Even the Cake Twins are gone." Pinkie tilted down her head when she finished the sentence. Then she continued on talking. "But hey! What are we waiting for? We need to find them and return Equestria back to normal again!"
Sweetie Belle frowned and looked away from the three mares.
"Equestria is normal the way it is! I'm really sorry that i say this, but you guys really need to get threatment and return your memories. Come on, let's go find the others now!"
The robotic filly trotted away from her friends, who felt pity and confusion at the moment.
"Hey, why does Sweetie Belle even looks like that?" Asked the pink pony.
"She explained to us that she's a.. 'robot', and that she's Rarity's adopted sister." Applejack answered Pinkie's question, which made the pink mare have even more questions in her mind.
Twilight ran after Sweetie Belle, she wanted to gather all of the main six to solve this problem.
"Pinkie, Applejack! Come on! We need to find the others!!"
"We're after you, Twilight!"
Applejack and Pinkie ran after Twilight and Sweetie, who was walking towards her sister's home. Twilight catched up to Sweetie Belle so she could talk to her.
"Sweetie! Hey, uh, Sweetie, let's have a talk?"
"Not right now, Twilight. I want to go home to see my sister! You girls can go to the garage behind Rarity's house to clear your minds a little."
Rarity's house. It wasn't the classic Carousel Boutique that everyone knew, because it was more than that here. The boutique was just a small part of Rarity's home. The other part was like a mix between a big hospital or a lab covered in clear white iron. It looked almost amazing!
Sweetie Belle politely knocked on the front door.
"Who is it?" An elegant voice could be heard from inside.
