> Chapter 1: Confused and Lost

Have you ever experienced waking up in the middle of the forest with no memory of how you even got there in the first place?

Well, I have, and by that I meant I'm experiencing it right now.

"Aaghh...my back…"

Oh, and I am in excruciating pain right now. My muscles feel like they are on fire, my arms feel like they're broken, every time I move I swear I could hear my bones crack, oh! And I couldn't feel anything below my waist.

"Scratch that...everything hurts."

You know, I feel like I should be panicking right now or something, but I find that I couldn't. I just feel...calm.

"Where...am I?"

I couldn't turn my head because my neck is sprained but from what I could see right now, I am somewhere in the open with tall hedge walls all around me, oh, and the sky is all grey with...pink clouds floating in the air?

I stared at those for a minute before I ignored them for now. Maybe they are just a normal thing that I forgot about. Besides, I have other things to wonder about, like-

"How...did I...get here?"

Now that I think about it, how did I get here? I have no memory of whatever happened but it must have something to do with my injuries. Just what did I get myself involved with for me to end up in this situation?

"Hello?...Hello?!...Is-is anyone out there?!"

I tried to call out for help but with how weak my voice is right now, I kind of doubt someone could hear me. A few minutes later I was proven right when I got no response, which caused me to groan.

"I hope someone can help me...Wait...Who exactly am I again?"

My memory is fuzzy and static, yet I did manage to at least remember my name.

"Jaune...That's right, my name is Jaune."

Other than my name, I couldn't remember anything else about me, my past, or even how I ended up this way. So in summary, I am in the middle of the woods, I can't move because of my injured body, and I'm pretty sure I've lost most of my memories.

 Even when I said that again to myself, over and over, I felt...calm.How can I be calm in this situation? The worst thing I feel is confusion but I should be panicking...but I'm not...which makes me even more confused. 

Though I could have a clearer mind if not for the chocolate rain that kept pouring from the pink clouds. However, they are a good way to make me forget the pain I am in. Opening my mouth I managed to catch a few droplets of chocolate.

"Hmm~ Sweet~, but it would be a lot sweeter if I could move."

"I know the feeling! Especially since I couldn't move for 2 thousand years."

"Well, at least someone understands...wait a second! Who said that?"

I tried my best to look around for whoever spoke but I ended up straining my neck, forcing me to look in one direction. Fortunately, I managed to find someone, who most likely spoke to earlier on, however, there is something about their appearance that I find strange.

The creature in front of me spoke in an old man's voice, "Me of course unless you're talking about the voices in your head?"

"Nope, I am pretty sure you are the one that talked."

From the sound of its voice, it was male. I could tell how his eyes scanned me with a curious gaze and while he did that I paid closer attention to him.

Whatever he is he has a head shaped like a horse, a deer antler on the right side of his head, a blue goat horn on the left, one long fang in his mouth, different-sized pupils, a snake tongue, a goat beard, and white bushy eyebrows. He also has the right arm of a lion, the left claw of an eagle, the right leg of a lizard, and the left leg of a goat. In addition, he has a bat's right-wing, a bird's Left-wing, a horse's mane, and a dragon-like snake's tail with a white tail tuft with the shape of his body resembling that of a snake, "Hmmm...I haven't seen a creature like you before."

"Same goes for you too...I think? I don't know cause I can't remember anything."

He raised a brow at what I said, "So you've lost your memories then? Even the one that involves your...pitiful state."

"Yeah. Speaking of which, can you help me Mr...Actually, what is your name? Mine is Jaune."

He looked amused for a moment before he quickly replaced it with a smile, "Oh me? Well, I have been called a lot of things but I prefer the name Discord, spirit of Chaos and Disharmony!"

The creature I now know as Discord said proudly as he trumpets, snakes, snake trumpets, and many other things in mid-air with a snap of a talon before poofing them away. After that he looked at me, waiting for some kind of reaction. However, just like before I only felt calm and confused. Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony? Is that a thing that I forgot too? To be honest I don’t know anymore.

“Okay…”

Discord was shocked, I would be too because I didn’t even flinch. or even twitch. I just accepted it like that.

“Really? That is all you have to say? No screaming or begging or worshipping? Are you not even a slight pinch of nervousness?”

“Oh, sorry if I upset you. It’s just that I can’t remember anything so I am just...going with the flow. Tho...I feel like I have seen a lot weirder things but I can’t remember them either.”

Discord deadpanned at me while I just stared passively with a smile at him. A few seconds later he narrowed his eyes on me...before he sighed and started floating in the air.

“You know, for a new creature like yourself, you are very boring. I’m out! I have a lot better things to do than waste my time, like messing with 6 ponies!”

“What? Aren’t you going to help me at least?”

Discord thought for a second before shrugging,  “Eh, I guess I’ll come back for you later. You are just too boring right now.”

“Wait!”

With a snap of his talon Discord disappeared, leaving me alone to bear the pain of my injuries and loneliness. I let out a sigh, feeling something other than calm or confusion, Disappointment.

“And here I thought I could get some help…”

I turned my head to face the sky and simply lay there as the chocolate rain washed over me.

Wait...turn my head? I thought my neck was sprained? 

I blinked as I soon realized that the pain had dulled. My arms don’t feel like they are on fire anymore and I’m starting to regain the feeling of my legs. I furrowed my brow, wondering what was happening until I heard it.

Not only that, I could feel something, something in my chest that is just, beating with unknown energy that I could not understand. but whatever it is, it’s making me feel better. A few minutes later I could move my arms and legs now, although they still kind of sting whenever I move them. However, I had enough strength to slowly lift myself from the ground. Now sitting on the ground crossed-legged, I could see where that strange sound was coming from.

My eyes are glued to what covered my legs and feet. They were...I don’t know how I know this but, they looked like tiny blue pixels that constantly shifts in lighting speed. My arms and chest had them too.

“...Okay...this is...It kinda tickles actually.”

I said with a bit of a smile, watching these, these…

“...Glitches? I think it’s the right word for them.” 

How did I know that? Well,i-it kind of whispered it to me. I don’t know how or why but since they healed me, I find them very comforting. I find this sensation...familiar in some way. I still find it strange tho that I am not panicking right now or show other signs of emotions other than confusion, calm, and disappointment. Hopefully, they’ll come to me in time. 

I just sat down and watched as the glitches on my body started to recede somewhere, maybe inside of me? I shake my head to concentrate on other more important matters like finding where I am and getting some answers.

The first order of business tho is standing up. It was easy enough to do with my limbs now repaired and filled with energy. Then I took a better look at my surroundings and found that the tall hedge walls were everywhere, it all seemed to be arranged into a maze.
"This is going to be harder than I thought."

As I was looking around, I spotted a puddle that was close by, a frozen puddle. It is out of place but then again so am I. I walked on over to it to see my reflection, to get a better look at myself. The first thing I noticed is my clear blue eyes, next was my short blonde hair and my light brown colored skin. After that, I stared at my clothes that consisted of a plain blue hoodie with a white t-shirt underneath, a pair of black fingerless gloves, black-colored slacks, and a pair of blue sneakers. To be honest with me, I look average...tho I feel like I am taller than average.

"So that is what I look like..."

One last look at my reflection I turned my attention to the only way I could go now, forward. I stopped and stared for a little while longer before I closed my eyes, sigh and clenched my hands before I opened them with a look of determination on my face.

"Time to get some answers."

With that, I bolted forward...literally.

"WOAW! TO FAST!"

The only thing I felt was something in me beating loudly with a rush of energy before I found myself rushing forward at speeds I could not comprehend. One moment I was just standing and in the next, I became a literal bolt of glitches that started running through the hedges like they weren't there at all.

"THIS ISN'T WHAT I HAD IN MIND!"
  
Everything went by like a blur for me, though it was kind of hard to see it since I was covered in glitches and leaves. However, I did stop busting through hedges, which meant I was out of the maze thing...but I still couldn’t stop.

“STOP!”

However, despite my plea, the glitches didn’t heed my words as they kept doing whatever they were doing and my speed did not change. As I tried to desperately stop myself I could now see through the glitches that once covered my vision and watched as I passed by trees, bushes, stones, and other blurry images in seconds. That and I am starting to get tired as this kept going on. Hopefully tho I can find some way to stop-

“Wait, what’s that?”

I looked on ahead and spotted something in front of me, something very tall and very big.It kinda looks like a bolder...WAIT IT IS A BOULDER! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!

CRASH

You know. Crashing into a bolder wasn't something I had in mind, it was painful and it knocked me out but it did make me stop. However, it did give me a big headache when I came back to my senses. It felt like my skull was cracked open...I wouldn't be surprised if it did...but judging by the fact that I am still here it means either it didn't happen or that it did but my glitches healed me. These glitches of mine are both a pain and a relief.

When I regained consciousness, the first thing I heard was several high-pitched voices arguing in the background. I couldn't make out what they were arguing about since there is still that ringing in my ears, though a few seconds later their argument stopped as I heard several heavy steps walking away, followed by a slam of a door.

At that moment I started to open my eyes to a wooden ceiling. Gaining more and more of my senses I looked around to see I am in a living room of some sort, and that I am laying down on a couch. A nice change from the cold hard ground I first woke up to earlier.

With a groan, I sat up while holding my head, the headache was still there but it was starting to go away. Even my blurry vision started to get clearer as I could now see everything better.

“Where am I now?”

I looked around the room once more and found no one. It was disappointing because I wanted some answers, oh and thank whoever helped me.

Letting out a sigh, I touched the bandage that covered the right side of my head. Thankfully it didn't hurt as much as I imagined there was no pain at all.

Carefully,  I took off the bandages before I got up from the couch. I still needed to look for some answers.

"Hopefully there's something in this place that can tell me where I am, like a map or -"

One Moment Later

"Books…"

My eyes widened in surprise and awe as I stared at the many shelves filled up with books, a lot of books. Turns out luck was on his side when he found that the place was a Library.

"...Well...at least I can learn a lot of things here."

I said to myself before I went on over to a section of the library that said 'History'.It is my best bet to know more about the place I am currently in. Perhaps it could also explain what is happening to me...and the world outside in general.

"Let's see...The story of the two sisters, The adventures of the seven pillars, Star Swirl's Ancient Lessons, Elements of Harmony...The whole history of Bread and Cakes?"

I paused to look at a large and thick book that was just jammed into the bookshelf. I stared at it for a while before I continued my search.

"Hmmm, no, no, not right now, no, no, maybe later, no, no...AHA! Found it!"

Pulling the book from the shelf and holding it in my arms, I inspected the title of the book once more.

"The History of our home, Equestria. So this place is called Equestria huh?"

I stared at it as I walked on over to a nearby table. Pulling up a chair, I sat down and opened the book.

"Alright then, better start reading."

You know, simply sitting back on a chair while reading a book sounded very pleasant to me. I could use some peace...sadly, life does not agree with me.

"Huh?"

I heard the unmistakable sound of glitching as I was just about to read the first word of the book, after that, a wave of glitching blue cubes came out from my hands. It covered the book, for only just a second before it retreated into my body, leaving nothing behind.

"…Did that seriously just happen?"

A moment later I let out a sigh before standing up to get another book. However, before I did, my brain was suddenly bombarded by knowledge all about Equestrian History. From the founding, to when Discords ruled the lands, to the two sisters defeating him, and finally the part when one of the sisters turned corrupt before getting banished.

With all this new information hitting me like a brick to the face. I held my head in pain as I stumbled backward and ended up crashing into a lone bookshelf. The next thing I know is that I am now covered in books.

"Ugh...this can't possibly get worse…"

"...I just had to open my mouth."

One moment I was covered in glitches, along with the books, and the next thing I know, I blacked out.

No One's POV

"Hahahahaha!!! Oh what a day to be alive!", Discord cheered in celebration as he danced on a pink cloud, upside down.

Before long, he disappeared and appeared on top of a building made out of gingerbread while laying on a mattress made from marshmallows.

With a deep breath, he sighed in contempt.

"Everything is going according to my design! The elements of harmony are officially 'dis'-harmony, my reign of Chaos will continue, and Celestia can't even do anything about it! Ha!"

He enjoyed his victory by drinking from a coconut as he put on some shades, while it was dark out.

"Aah~ Nothing like a hot nut of coco to celebrate a victory!...although there is that strange creature from before…"

Discord rubbed his chin as he thought of his encounter with Jaune, "He is something I did not expect...Bah! He was boring anyways! Besides! What could a pitiful crippled creature, who doesn't even remember his past, do to me?"

Silence

.

.

"Hmm, that's weird. I suddenly have the feeling that I am going to regret those words."

"Huh?", Discord turned around and his eyes widened at what he saw.

"...oh buffalo dung…"

With Twilight and Friends

Everything is looking up for the 6 ponies! After realizing Discord's intention of splitting them apart, Twilight went to each of her jerk friends to remind them of who they are, thus turning them back to normal.

With the bearers of The Elements of Harmony now restored, the six mares marched with determination to confront Discord and put an end to the Chaos.

"H-hey...um...Twi-twilight?", Fluttershy asked from behind the group.

"Yes Fluttershy?", Twilight Sparkle looked back at her friend.

" I was...um...wondering what…happened to that poor animal earlier?"

"Animal?"

"Ya mean that strange thing that crashed into Rarity's 'Diamond earlier?", Applejack guessed.

"Ugh!!! Can we please forget that embarrassing moment!", Rarity groaned...before she perked up, "Now that you mention, Darling. What did become of it, I am hoping to ask it some questions about those clothes! They were delightful!"

Rainbow Dash chuckled as she hovered above the group, "I'm still surprised that thing survived crashing into your 'Diamond'! Hahaha! I still remember the goofy face it had when it passed out!"

This got a groan from Rarity, a few giggles from the girls, and a full-blown laugh from Pinkie Pie.

"I know! He was like-",  *Pinkie stuck out her tongue,  bit her lips, crossed her eyes, and moved her lower jaw to the left. A second later she went back to normal and laughed.* " It was so funny! Oh! oh! And I'll throw him a welcome to Ponyville party later when he wakes up!"

Twilight stared at Pinkie in bewilderment, "Wait...how did you know it is a he?"

"Lucky guess!", Pinkie smiled innocently.

Twilight blinked before shaking her head," We can do that all later, right now we have to defeat Discord and save Equestria!"

"YEAH!"

Suddenly a wall exploded in front of them to reveal Discord battling a humanoid entity made up of glitching randomly colored pixels...actually, battling is a bit of a stretch.

"GET AWAY FROM ME!

"£{¥×π`°£¶¥×``¶•`!!!"

Discord kept backing up while throwing chaotic magic and other random things at the entity. Sadly for him every physical object he threw passed through it and every magical blast he cast was absorbed into the glitching being.

"GETAWAY!"

The entity kept on walking towards him with arms wide open as the Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony decided to make a run for it, crashing through several walls of cookies. Too bad the entity continued to pursue him as it ran as well.


"..."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"COME ON GIRLS! THEY WENT THIS WAY! LET'S FOLLOW THEM! WOOHOO!"

Just like that, all the mares, but Pinkie, stood in shock at what they just saw. As for Pinkie, she took it upon herself to drag her friends with her so they wouldn't miss anything.

The others could only think one thing as they were dragged away.

"...What just happened?"
> Chapter 2: Chaos and glitches don't mix well

In the last chapter, we left off with the mane 6 watching Discord running away from an entity no one has ever seen before.

"THIS ISN'T RUNNING AWAY!"

Discord burst through a wall made out of cheese wearing a football helmet, a knight's metal chest plate, and...a pink tutu?

"It's called a strategic retreat!", He clarified as he deadpanned, "and if you're wondering why I'm dressed up like this, you can blame that glitching monstrosity."

Suddenly his ears perked up as he gained a nervous look on his face, "Speaking of which, I got to go!"

Discord then cowardly ran away-

"STRATEGIC RETREAT!"

Just as the entity crashed through the wall a moment later, however, it looked different from before. It is now bigger than last time and the color of its eyes change to neon orange.

It let out a static and unclear noise as it turned to where Discord went before it sprinted after him.

A few moments later 6 colorful talking ponies arrived, panting as they stopped to take a breather.

"This is...getting us...nowhere…", Twilight Sparkle panted as she tried to regain her breath, being a unicorn,  she doesn't have much physical stamina to continue running.

"Your right...we need...a better...plan.", Rarity agreed with her friend.

Rainbow Dash dropped to the ground to give her wings a bit of time to relax," I still don't get it! How can those two be faster than me! It's impossible! And every time I do manage to catch up they start running again!"

"Ah'm more surprised that Discord is running away from that thing. Isn't he supposed to be the Spirit of Chaos?", Applejack noted what everyone else was thinking as well.

"Yes but we all saw that Discord's powers do not affect it it looked like it was absorbing his magic. Maybe that's why he is trying to escape.", Twilight pointed out as she recalled several moments when Discord would constantly try to stop the entity with little to no success.

Rainbow Dash smirked, "Ha! That'll teach him not to mess with our world! About time he gets what he deserved!"

"I wholeheartedly agree with you Darling," Rarity nodded her head before pointing out the obvious," but we still don't know what that thing is or if it's our ally."

"Well...It seems t-to only be focused on D-discord...and we haven't seen it harm anypony.", Fluttershy stuttered.

Applejack agreed with the yellow pegasus," That's true but we can't be too careful. We don't know much about the fella...other than the fact it can't be harmed by anything."

Twilight let out a sigh as she tried to make sense of their situation, "This job of ours is getting harder and weirder by the minute...but I am sure once we turn Discord back into a statue we can deal with that thing and everything should settle down. As long as we are together, we can do this!"

It was then that the girls noticed something...and that something is the lack of noise from their hyperactive pink friend.

"Wait, where's Pinkie?!?!", Twilight and the others looked around desperately for any signs of Pinkie Pie," Where did she go?!?"

A few seconds later Rainbow Dash spotted a familiar pink puffy tail peeking out from a corner of a building.

"There she is! I found her!"

The 5 ran over to their pink-colored friend as she stood still while she stared at something with her blue eyes.

The first to arrive was Rainbow Dash, "Pinkie! What are you standing around here for? Come on, we still have to go find Discord and...that...thing…", Her words died in her throat when she turned to where Pinkie Pie was staring.

The others arrived just in time to see their two friends staring off into the distance with their mouths wide open in shock.

" What in tarnation?", Applejack asked out loud as Fluttershy walked up to the two. 

"Rainbow Dash? Pinkie Pie?", Fluttershy tried to get their attention by waving her hoof in front of them, but failed," What's wrong?"

Pinkie lifted a hoof and pointed in front of them, "That."

Confused, the 4 ponies turned their heads in the direction she was pointing to.

"Darling, what do you mean by...that…", Rarity's words trailed off as her eyes widened in shock and horror.

Besides her Twilight, Fluttershy and Applejack did the same thing when they finally saw it.

Glitches. There were glitches everywhere. Constantly changing squares and rectangles covered everything in the vicinity. Entire buildings were twisted and scrambled into weird-looking abstracts. Once tall buildings now became small while the small ones grew into ginormous constructions. Even the once soap-made streets became a hideous combination of slime, ice, gold, and sponge.

That wasn't the worst, however.

"AAHH!!!"

"WHAT'S HAPPENING!!!"

"MY LEGS! MY LEGS ARE GONE!"

The worse was the ponies that the glitches changed. None looked the same but all of them are equally strange looking. One pony was made out of cotton candy, a pegasus pony had their legs turned into wings, a unicorn pony's horn became twice as big as their head, and there was that cluster of limbs that is made up of different ponies.

The mane 6 had their jaws dropped at the terrible sight.

"What…how...but...what-", Twilight stuttered before she was interrupted by the ground shaking beneath her feet. Which was followed by the screams of a terrified Discord, who came running out of a house.

"AAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

Discord looked smaller than earlier and appeared to have aged several decades. He even had small patches of glitches on his body that began to slowly change his physical appearance. Right now he looked normal, or as normal as Discord could be, but soon enough the changes would become clearer.

Then the house he came out of was destroyed when something big crashed through it. By its glitch-covered body, it was clear that it was the entity, however, it looked different from before.

Its once randomly colored glitches had all been bleached into a pure white color while its orange eyes turned to crimson. Not only that but it now has four large arms with each ending with a crab's claw, a dragon's tail, and two pairs of insect-like wings while its legs were replaced by 6 arachnid-like appendages. 

"RAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!"

It let out a static and glitchy roar before it chased Discord down the street. The ponies in their way immediately fled, not wanting to be run over or turned into something worse, while Twilight and the gang stood on the spot with their jaws hanging in the air.

It took a full minute for them to recover from the shock.

"Well...that answers our questions. That thing is not a friend.", Applejack said as she blinked.

"I am gonna need a bigger cake…", Pinkie spoke after a few seconds of silence.

The next one to come out of shock is Rainbow Dash," Forget about the cake! We need to stop that thing before it destroys Ponyville!"

This caused the rest to snap out of their shock.

"Your right. What are we waiting for? Let's go girls!"Twilight encouraged as she and her friends chased after the entity...well except for Fluttershy who stood as still as stone while Applejack carried her on her back.

Thankfully because of its size it was relatively slow now compared to last time and the group finally caught up with it.

The bad news is that it's now climbing to the top of a tall glitched-up tower that used to be the mayor's office building...with Discord in one of its claws.

"You know, this wasn't what I expected this day to go, "Discord said to himself before he cringed and groaned when the entity tightened its claw.

From the ponies' point of view, they could see grey-colored wisps coming out of Discord's body before they were absorbed into the entity,  causing it to grow bigger in size and its head to change from a humanoid skull to that of a bull.

After its change, it had reached the top of the tower where it stood up and pounded its chest with its two extra limbs.

"RAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!"

The monstrosity let out a mighty roar just as a shockwave of glitches burst forth from it. The glitches washed over everything and everypony, changing them all into even more scrambled horrors...everypony except the bearers of the elements.

Just as the wave was about to hit them the Elements of Harmony suddenly glowed before they projected a rainbow-colored dome that protected their bearers.

Twilight and the gang were relieved by this, "Thank Celestia the Elements reacted the way they did.", The lavender-colored unicorn said in relief.

"Yeah but what about the rest of Ponyville? We can't just stay here and let that thing run loose!", Applejack turned to stare at the monstrosity through the slightly transparent barrier.

"We agree with you Applejack but we don't even know if the Elements will work on that thing!", Rarity added," What if it will absorb their magic as it did with Discord!"

After she said that Twilight instantly perked up, "That's it! Rarity you're a genius!"

Rarity blinked in confusion, "I am?"

"I didn't notice it until now but those tiny things that the monster created have Discord's magic in them.", Twilight started carefully at a small patch of glitches that tried to break into the barrier, "If my theory is correct then if it does absorb the Element's magic-"

She was about to explain until she was cut off by Pinkie Pie.

"It will start to react to the chaos magic that's already inside the thing which will then cause the two energies within it to clash with each other and cancel them both! If we shoot enough of their magic at it then it will surely cause an explosion that will erase the entity and the chaos magic will then be destroyed! Resulting in everything going back to normal, us saving the day, and me throwing a 'Victory!' Party!"

Pinkie looked confused when her friends stared at her with their mouths wide open in shock, "What?"

Rainbow shook her head, "So...we just blast it with the elements?"

"Yeah that...that about sums it up.", Twilight nodded, still surprised by what Pinkie just said.

"WELL THEN! What are we waiting for! Let's kick that thing's sorry butt!", Rainbow Dash proclaimed.

"Um...I don't think it...even has a butt at this point.", Fluttershy pointed out.

"You know what I mean!"

The rainbow barrier around them lowered itself to reveal the mares wearing a determined look on their face as they looked to the entity that continued its rampage.

"Alright girls, let's do this!", Twilight shouted before they charged forward.

Meanwhile at the Library

Spike tended to the place while the others were out to save Equestria from Discord, or that was what he was told. He still doesn't know about the giant glitching monstrosity rampaging outside. How you may ask? Well, it's because he was wearing some ear muffs as he cleaned up the Library.

He was humming a tune in his head as he dusted the bookcases and put back some books that had fallen off their shelves. Heck, he didn't even notice the ground shaking because he was too deep into the song that he was humming.

However, his ignorant bliss was shattered when he tripped over something, "Waah!"

Spike's eyes widened as he saw the ground getting closer...but before his face met the floor he felt something grab his tail.

"Huh?", He was confused when he was pulled back onto his feet and the grip on his tail let go.

"Oh, thanks for that!", Spike said as he turned to whoever helped him but found himself face to face with something blue.

"Your welcome."

Spike stiffened as he slowly lifted his head to see a pair of ocean blue eyes staring at him curiously.

"Hello!"

THUD

Spike's face planted onto the ground.

"Um...was it something I said?"

Jaune's POV 

Knowledge is painful, especially if it's forced directly into your head. The good news is that I know where I am now and I gained other useful information. For example, Equestria's main population consists of ponies. Colorful four-legged talking herbivores are categorized into 4 types.

Earth Ponies who are earthbound but are strong and have a good connection with the earth, Pegasus Ponies who have wings to fly while being able to manipulate weather, Unicorn Ponies who have horns and use magic. The last ones are the Alicorns, they are those who have all three traits and are the most powerful among the pony kind. In Fact, two of them could move the sun and moon, giving them control over day and night.

I suddenly held my head in pain, "Ugh...I should learn to control my glitches before holding any books."

When I had accidentally absorbed those extra books it felt like a train slammed into my head full speed. I blacked out for what felt like hours before I woke up and noticed that only a few minutes had passed. I also suddenly know how to cook pastries, make clothes, take care of several kinds of animals, set up a party, the basics of how to fly with wings, and several magic spells.

I still haven’t caught a proper grasp of it all, and I don't think I'll be able to use a few of those but I feel like I am going to need those later on. For now tho I think I'll move the baby dragon somewhere more comfy. Gently, I picked up the small reptile before walking back to the living room where I set him down on the couch. I even gave him a small blanket I found earlier.

“Right...what to do now?”, I found myself wondering,” A few of my questions are answered but I still have a lot more...maybe I should go outside and ask somepony.”

With that thought in kind, I made my way to the door. Although I had to duck since it was so small but I was outside and despite it being so weird looking it was quite peaceful.

“Huh...this place isn’t so bad.”

 "RAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!"

“...the heck?”

I turned my head to the right and saw something big pounding its chest atop a tall building. However, what truly caught my attention was what the creature was made of.

“Are those...glitches?”, I stared as it let out another ear-splitting roar before it unleashed a wave of glitches in every direction. I watched closely as the glitches changed anything they touched, from trees to buildings, he even saw a few scrambled ponies stumbling around in panic. Soon enough the glitch wave came closer and I instinctively crossed my arms in front of me as I brace for the impact.

I waited and waited...however, I felt nothing. Curiously I opened my eyes to see what exactly happened.

“Huh?”, My eyes could not have been wider when I saw that the foreign glitches were being absorbed into me. All those glitches that were heading in my direction were caught in some kind of vacuum as they all flew into my chest. However it didn’t hurt me, it kinda tickled actually.

“Hehehe, okay this is weird...but it... feels good.”, I felt more energized as I unconsciously absorbed all the glitches in the vicinity. From the structures to the street, all patches of glitches were pulled into me and to my relief, everything these glitches messed up started to return to normal.

It took a few minutes but every small bit of glitches was gone and this section of the small town looked normal again. The most thankful for this surprising turn of events are the ponies that were nearby.

“My legs! Their back!”

“I’m normal again!”

“Thank Celestia!”

I felt a smile grow on my face when I saw the ponies celebrate but that smile dropped slightly when they finally saw me. An awkward silence filled the air as I stared nervously at the curious and confused ponies who stared back at me.

“Um...hello there!”, I awkwardly waved at them. I don’t know why but being the center of attention of a crowd made me very nervous. Fortunately, I didn’t have to endure that for long when a roar was heard and everyone's attention turned to the large glitchy monstrosity just as it let out another wave of glitches.

Instantly the ponies screamed as they all tried to run away from it, not wanting to be changed again into something worse. I watched as the panicking stampede of ponies ran past me to safety but amongst the chaos, I saw a small pegasus filly trip and fall on the ground. They tried to stand back up but when they did it was already too late, the wave of glitches was mere moments away.

The clear fear in their eyes, their helpless and frightened state caused something in me to snap.

Little Filly's POV

I don't know what is happening. Just this morning everything looked normal..until the clouds became cotton candy and it started to rain chocolate. At first, it was fun with me and my friends playing around, but then things started to get scary.

This weird pony popped up in the air and started doing terrible things to everypony and everything. He turned the street into soap, made everypony do something weird for fun, he even took my wings away and replaced them with large leaves! 

But if that wasn't worse this huge scary monster came out of nowhere and chased down the baddy. I thought it was helping us but then it grew bigger and meaner and started ruining the town! Those small white squares and rectangles started to spread and turned everything they touched into...weirder stuff!

Even I was covered in them and my head turned into a chicken while my fur into the grass.

I panicked and started running around asking for help but everypony had the same problem. I was scared, thinking that I'll be like this forever...but then something amazing happened.

When another wave of those things headed our way I tried to run,  not wanting to become something worse. That was when those things stopped in the air for a second before they all flew in one direction.

I couldn't see where they were going with so many of those things around but then I saw myself turning back to normal! Everypony and everything around us changed back as every last one of those things was sucked away.

It was then that I saw where they all were headed. It was a tall hairless monkey that wore clothes that I've never seen before. What shocked me was that this new animal ate up those little squares and rectangles. When it was done I just stared at it.

I didn't know who they were or what it was but I knew for sure that it had saved me and the other ponies. Speaking of other ponies they all seemed to finally notice it. We all just stood there and it did the same, but it looked nervous and shy.

"Um...hello there!"

It talked. It talked! I don't know how but it did and suddenly I felt excited cause I wanted to talk to it! But then that large monster roared again and another wave of those things started coming after us.

Everypony ran away from them as fast as we could but from the corner of my eyes, I saw the thing just standing there. After that, I tripped and tried to get back up but when I looked back it was too late. I cried on the spot and closed my eyes as I just waited to be turned into something horrible again.

"Help me!"

I didn't feel anything, I didn't feel those things washing over my body or myself starting to change.

I had opened my eyes slowly to see what happened and it was at that moment I saw it.

Standing in front of me, that strange animal stood on its hind legs and blocked those things from getting me. I watched with wide eyes as it stopped those things from going any further and started to eat them all up.

It was...protecting me.

When the thing was finished eating and there were no more of those flying white-shaped, it had turned around and looked at me.

At first, I felt afraid, afraid that it was going to eat me next...but then I saw its eyes. They were kind, caring, and are the same color as the sky. I don't know why but I suddenly felt calm and safe when I'm near it.

"You alright kid?", It asked me with a caring tone and from its voice, it was a he.

"I-I am", I stuttered out as he smiled softly at me.

"That's good to know."

BOOM

When that explosion hit my ears I turned to where it came from and saw that terrible monster landing on the ground. It shook the earth and I felt myself stumble but I managed to stand back up.

I looked at the thing that protected me and saw him staring intensely at the monster.

"Hey kid, can you walk?", He asked me before looking in my direction and I nodded my help.

"Alright, I need you to go find someplace safe to hide, okay?", I nodded my head again just as he turned away and started walking over to the monster.

"Wait!"

He stopped and looked back at me again.

"Where are you going?"

"I'm gonna make sure that thing doesn't hurt anyone else!", He sent me a cheeky grin as he sprinted off towards the monster and before I knew it, I lost sight of him.

I looked up towards the monster as it went on a rampage. Even with how scary it looked, that weird animal was still brave enough to try to stop it.

"Good luck mister…"

No ones POV

Right now the glitching abomination is angry, very very angry. To vent its frustration it was pounding and smashing away at the rainbow-colored dome where its prey is hiding under.

Within it are the main six and a very tiny Discord.

"I'm just gonna say it out loud, I am not at fault for that thing!", The tiny and power drained Discord complained before he hid behind a rock when a crack appeared on the dome.

"Twilight...ah don't think...we can keep...this thing up any...longer!", A tired and winded Applejack said.

"I-I can think of something! I just...I just need more time.", Twilight wasn't faring any better as she struggled to come up with a plan while trying to help maintain the barrier.

The other element bearers were in a similar tired state. They had tried to use the elements on the monster but it had somehow learned of its plan after one of its arms disintegrated. Now, whenever they tried to use the elements against it the monster would condense its glitches, preventing their magic from reaching the chaos magic it hid within its body.

After many trials and errors, they had managed to get Discord away from it, preventing the monster from gaining more strength. However, because of it they now find themselves backed up into a corner.

"Is this...is this the end?", Rarity said as she tried to stand up but ended up collapsing on the ground.

"NO, IT'S NOT! We Can...We can still do this!", Rainbow urged her friend to not give up as she landed on the ground to recover.

Fluttershy, surprisingly, still stood her ground and stayed strong, despite her legs shaking, "I can do this...I can do this…"

CRACK!

Another crack appeared after the monster smashed the same spot multiple times. It seemed to notice this and started to focus on the weakest spot of the barrier. Seconds later more cracks appeared as it continued its onslaught.

CRACK!

CRACK!

CRACK!

"Dang it…", Twilight mumbled under her breath as the others slowly fell to exhaustion and despair.

.

"Wait…", Pinkie Pie's ears suddenly perked up when she heard a weird sound, "Does anypony else hear that?"

The others turned to her with a confused look.

Discord raised his brow at her, "Hear what?"

"HEY UGLY! EAT THIS!"

"Hragh?"

The monster turned to the left, only to have a giant fireworks rocket slam into its gut.

"OOF!"

The main six and Discord watched with wide eyes as the rocket pushed the monster back a few yards before it exploded, sending it a few more yards away.

Slowly they turned their heads to where the rocket came from and saw Jaune holding a giant lit match stick in his arms. Their eyes grew wider when they saw several of the other 3 giant firework rockets behind him, each pointed in the direction of the monster.

"HOPE YOU STILL HUNGRY!", Jaune shouted just as the monster recovered and glared at him, to which Jaune glared back, "CAUSE THERE'S PLENTY MORE WHERE THAT CAME FROM!"

As the two glitches prepared for battle, their audience could only think of one thing.

"...what's...what's happening here?"

No ones POV

'How did I end up in this situation?'

Jaune wondered to himself as he rode on a rocket heading straight into the monster's wide-open mouth in slow motion.

To his right is an orange furred Earth pony with a cowgirl hat biting and pulling onto a rope that held down the monster's head. Helping her with the rope was a line of animals big and small, from a big bear to even a small white rabbit. Cheering them on was a yellow Pegasus pony with a pink mane as she too helped.

To the left, there were two Unicorn ponies, one lavender and one white, pointing their glowing horns at two pinned-down crab claws who had the same glow. Above them is a third crab claw that was being pushed back by a cyan-furred Pegasus pony with a rainbow-colored mane.

Up above on top of the monster's face,  a pink-colored Earth pony is seen shoving a large pie into the monster's right eye. Beside her is the creature known as Discord, who was back to his normal size and was busy slamming a giant wooden mallet onto the creature's other eye.

'Well it all started 20 minutes ago, back when I found those giant fireworks rockets.'

Flashback~ 20 minutes ago~

'I was running towards the direction of the monster without so much of a plan besides absorbing it. Since it's made up of glitches then maybe I can do the same thing I did with those glitches earlier.'

Jaune is seen running down the screen. As he sprinted ahead his body had unconsciously gathered any glitch that he passed by. Behind him is a constant trail of glitches that flowed into his back as the scenery behind him turned back to normal.

'The main problem to that was how to get to it. Fortunately tho the answer came up when I spotted those giant rockets.'

Jaune suddenly stops in his tracks before taking a few steps back and turning his head to the alley to his right. Within is a big wagon carrying 4 enormous red rockets the size of his body.

"What the-who would make fireworks as big as these?"

Somewhere else 

"Achoo!"

"Achoo!"

"Achoo!"

Three fillies sneezed out loud for no reason. One is an Earth pony, the other is a Pegasus pony and the last one is a Unicorn pony.

"Huh, why do I feel like someone is talking about us?"

"I don't know...hey I just remembered! Do you two know where our fireworks are?"

"You mean the ones we made yesterday when we tried to get our fireworks cutie marks? Nope, haven't seen them!"

"Huh...well I'm sure we'll find them later."

Back to Jaune

The blonde cautiously walked up to the wagon and looked to the rockets, then back to the wagon, and back to the rockets.

Suddenly something clicked in Jaune's head as he came up with a stupid idea. The only thing missing tho is something to light them, like a torch or-

"That could work.", Jaune said as he looked at the large matchstick that was hidden in the pile of rockets, "But seriously tho, who would make something like this?"

He then shook his head as he went to the front of the wagon, grabbed its reins, and started to pull it out into the street.

Surprisingly though he did it easily, he didn't look to be struggling either, "Huh, strange.", He said to himself as he emerged back into the street, " These things look like they should weigh a lot but why does it feel like I'm pulling nothing at all?"

His thought was interrupted when he felt the ground shake and heard a familiar roar.

Turning his head he had spotted the giant figure of the glitching abomination a mile away trying to smash a rainbow-colored dome with its giant claws.

Jaune could barely see anything inside the slightly translucent dome, but then he felt his glitches stir inside of him and felt the same ticklish feeling in his eyes.

Jaune's eyes shined a bright blue glow as his vision improved drastically.

"Wow, okay that's new.", Jaune said in surprise before he focused his sight on what's inside the barrier.

He spotted six tired ponies with each of them wearing jewelry that glowed with energy. He also spotted something tiny hiding behind a rock.

"Is that Discord?", His eyes widened when he saw how tiny he is now compared to when he first met him, " What the heck happened to him?"

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGHH!!!"

"...I bet it has something to do with that thing."

The monster continued to slam its claws on the barrier until it created a crack.

CRACK!

Jaune's eyes widened in alarm upon seeing this before his body moved on. He ran down the empty streets faster than before with a determined look on his face. Even when the path led to a rather steep hill Jaune effortlessly ran up with his cargo behind him.

The sound of his glitches fell on deaf ears as he continued up the path. What he didn't realize or notice was that everything around him seemed to move slower.

Jaune paid this no mind for now because when he reached the top of the small hill he saw the monster was about to deal the finishing blow on the cracked barrier.

Jaune's mind went into overdrive as he went to the wagon and retrieved the rockets. He set each one of them on the ground, facing the monster's positions. Then as he grabbed the giant matchstick Jaune wastes no time in striking it on the pavement.

As Jaune was doing all these things he had failed to notice the small traces of blue glitches left behind on the rockets nor the glitches that are on the matchstick's tip. When it struck the pavement and was harshly dragged against it, it had miraculously ignited! Setting the thing ablaze with a blue-colored flame that glitched now and then.

Without wasting time, Jaune lit the first rocket fuse. It was at that moment that time sped up to normal speeds and the rocket launched with even greater speed.

"HEY UGLY! EAT THIS!"

The monster turned around and was hit by the rocket in the gut.

"OOF"

'Well we already know what happens next so let's skip forward a bit.'

Jaune stared daggers at the monster as it glared back with absolute hatred. The two remained still, their eyes watching the other, waiting for one of them to make the first move.

Then Jaune gave it a large grin, "Hey buddy! What's that on your chest!"

Confused, the monster looked down...and found that its chest and everything below it was covered in pink bubblegum that kept him from moving. Its eyes widened in the realization that the gum came from the first rocket after it had exploded.

Kssss

It looked up and spotted another rocket heading towards its face, It tried to move but the gum wouldn't let it. So instead it swung its arms at just the right time and swat the rocket away, right towards the ponies and Discord.

"AAAAAHHHH!",  The Element Bearers and the Spirit of Chaos looked away or shielded their eyes at their coming doom.

POOF!

The rocket, instead of exploding, suddenly poofed right as it was about to hit Discord. However, it did cover them all in blue-colored glitches.

"AAAHHH!!! GET THEM OFF OF ME! GET THEM OFF ME!", Discord wailed as he ran around like a tiny headless chicken...that was until the glitches slowly faded away and Discord started to grow.

"Huh?", When he was finished panicking he had found himself back to his regular size. Realizing this he smiled and threw his claws/paws into the air, "HAHAHAA! I'm big again! Woohoo!"

It wasn't just him who the glitches affected. At first, the ponies all panicked since they saw what glitches could do to them, except for Pinkie.

"Oh-oh! I wonder what I'll turn into! A bug? A bird? A gummy?! Or maybe I'll be all of them!"

However much to her dismay and the other's disbelief, the glitches didn't change their appearance. It seemed to be healing them and energizing them! When the glitches faded away the 6 ponies looked refreshed and had a rejuvenated glow to their bodies.

"Aww, I'm still Pinkie Pie...YAY I'm STILL ME!"

Ignoring Pinkie's statement Twilight looked over to the strange creature that helped them and saw him light another rocket. It launched into the air and flew towards the monster.

It growled as it prepared to parry it away until it suddenly fell apart mid-flight, revealing a smaller rocket within that too fell apart and revealed an even smaller rocket. This continued several times until the rocket was the size of a pie.

The monster blinked as it easily caught it in its claw before it laughed in a deep distorted voice.

Meanwhile Rainbow Dash deadpan at it, "Seriously!? That is so not awesome!"

The monster then carelessly opened its mouth and ate the tiny thing…

BOOOOOOOM!

Only to have it cause an explosion so massive it had bloated the creature to the point where it looked like a balloon.

"PFFT HAHAHAHAHAHAAA!! NOW THAT'S BETTER!",  Rainbow Dash snorted before she laughed alongside Pinkie and Discord.

"That was hahaha hilarious! Hahaha!", Discord clutched his side as he laughed before wiping away a fake tear, "I have got to try that!"

Even Applejack and Rarity couldn't help but giggle at the monster's predicament. Fluttershy and Twilight are a different matter however with Fluttershy being too kind that she felt sorry for the monster. While Twilight had her mouth wide open with her right eye constantly twitching, "What-how-but-waah?"

It was at this moment that the monster had enough of this foolish game. Just as Jaune was about to light the final rocket the monster started to glitch uncontrollably and one moment later it disappeared.

Jaune blinked and looked around, "Where did it go?"


DRIP

Tssss

The blonde held the matchstick sideways and found that its fire was put out by...drool?

"...It's right on top of me, isn't it?"

Jaune looked up and true to his words the glitching monster was right there, and it was pissed.

"Grrrrrrrr."

"Crud…"

Jaune then tried to run away but found out that couldn't. Looking down he saw that the ground beneath him had turned to quicksand.

He then looked up to see the monster wearing a smug smirk on its face as it raised one of its spider legs to crush him.

"Double Crud!"

The blonde tried to use the glitch to get himself free, at this point any kind of glitching would do, as long as it got him out of there. However, nothing happened and the monster chuckled at his useless attempt to get free.

"Come on, come on!", Jaune frantically tried to reach deep into his core and trigger the power inside but constantly failed.

"JUST GLITCH ALREADY!"

BOOM

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"

Jaune used his arms to cover his face when a bright rainbow-colored beam hit the monster, causing three of its spider legs and a chunk of its side to disintegrate. The monster roared as it tumbled and fell, destroying several buildings as it sent derpy falling everywhere.

Looking back, Jaune saw that those six colorful ponies were the source of the beam. He was thankful for that as he smiled at them but soon it faltered when he looked up and spotted a large chunk of debris coming straight for him.

"Oh for the love of-PLEASE GLITCH!"

Luck was with him when his form, along with the last rocket, was covered in blue glitches before one second later they were gone, causing the debris to hit the empty pavement instead.

Meanwhile, the ponies and Discord had watched as the Element of Harmony's Rainbow Death Beam knocked the monster.

"Ha! Wasn't ready for that, were ya!",  Rainbow cheered and boasted.

As she went on Fluttershy had realized something, "Wait, wasn't that where the strange animal that helped us was?"

This caused Rainbow to stop and the other elements soon realized it too. They looked back to where he was last seen and only saw ruins of collapsed buildings.

"Oh no! We have to help him!", Fluttershy's eyes widened in concern as she was about to run ahead but was stopped by Applejack.

"Am sorry sugar cube but Ah don't think-"

Whatever she was about to say was cut short when the air above them started glitching before Jaune appeared and her face planted on the ground.

"Ugh...I'm okay…"

THUD

A second later the large rocket appeared above him before it fell on his back.

THUMP

"Less okay…"

Fluttershy instantly moved to help the rocket off him while the other girls looked shocked at what just happened. After rolling the large object off him Fluttershy checked Jaune for any injuries.

“Oh my, are you alright? Does anything hurt?”

Jaune raised a hand as he groaned, “Yeah but don’t worry. They should start kicking in and I’ll be fine.”

Fluttershy looked at him confused, “They?”

!@#%!@$#!@!

The mare jumped back when blue glitches started to appear on his back and his shoulder. Discord and the other mares flinched when they saw those glitches since their experience with them wasn’t so good. However, to their curiosity and their awe, the glitches dissipated without changing Jaune it seemed to clean his once dirtied clothes.

“Ah~ Now that’s much better.”, Jaune said as he pushed himself off the ground. When he turned around the first one he noticed out of all of them was Discord, “Oh hey it’s you!”

This caused the main six to turn their attention to Discord. Seeing that all the attention was on him he started to sweat nervously when he realized the situation he was in.

“Ugghhh...OH HEY LOOK THAT THING IS GETTING BACK UP!”, He pointed a talon behind them and when they looked back they indeed saw that the monster was recovering as it pulled itself out of the rubble. Seeing this Discord wiped away the sweat on his forehead while he sighed in relief...until he tensed up when Twilight turned and glared at him.

“This isn’t over! After we deal with that thing, we’ll deal with you.”, Twilight threatened to which Discord nodded his head.

“Sure sure but can we focus on that monster now!”

From the side Jaune tilted his head at their little interaction, ’ Am I missing something here?’, He thought to himself before his attention was caught by the monster’s roar.

"RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!"

The glitching monstrosity then glared in their direction, putting everyone on edge as a ball of white-colored glitches started to form in one of its claws. Seeing this Twilight and the others prepared themselves to set up the barrier. When it lobbed the ball at them the elements started to glow once more...however the form of the cluster of glitches suddenly faltered before it fell apart mid-air. The main six and Discord felt their jaws drop for what seemed to be the tenth time this day when the glitches were pulled by an invisible force right in Jaune.

“Just what I needed.”, He commented as he finished absorbing the last of the glitches. Looking to the side he saw the bewildered looks of the ponies, “ What? This is just something that I do.”

“Wait...you can absorb those things?”, Twilight asked him to which he nodded his head.

“Yeah...tho I’m confused why I didn’t absorb that thing when it was right on top of me.”, Jaune furrowed his brow at that fact as he began to think, ”Maybe I need to have physical contact with it?”

"Well whatever it is that ya did is sure gonna be helpful.", Apple said just as the monster roared again. This time it had grabbed a chunk of the ground and was preparing to throw it at them.

"Oh no, RUN!", Twilight shouted as she and the others ran away. It was a good thing too cause a few seconds later the cluster of dirt and stone slammed in the place they used to be.

The mane 6, Discord, and Jaune continued to run down the streets before they took a sharp turn into an alley. They all stayed quiet when the monster ran past them. After a few more seconds they all let out a breath of relief.

Pinkie Pie poked out her head and looked around the area before she ducked back into the alley.

"I think we lost it.", She whispered to the others.

"So does anypony have an idea how we can stop that thing? We can't just keep hiding from it.", Rainbow Dash whispered.

"Can't you use that rainbow beam at it again? That seems to work on it.", Jaune suggested.

Twilight shook her head, "It does but it only works when we catch it off guard. It uses those white things to shield itself. As long as it does that, we can't properly get rid of it."

"So you all just need to stop it from using its glitches right?"

"A-are those what... they are called?",  Fluttershy stuttered out as Jaune nodded.

"Wait, how come you know what they are?", Rainbow Dash asked as she pointed at him, " In Fact why do you have the same thing that monster has?"

"Yes and what exactly are you?", Rarity questioned as she looked at him.

Then Pinkie Pie popped up in his face, "Anddoyoulikeparties?What'syourfavoritecolor?CakeorPie?Icecreamorwhipcream?Areyouasuperherooravillianoravigalante?"

"I...um..what?"

RUMBLE

The ground started to shake violently as the monster's rampage could be heard through the village.

This caused Pinkie to let go and everypony else to steady themselves until the shaking stopped.

After it had stopped Jaune looked towards the ponies with a serious look on his face, "Look I know you all have a lot of questions right now, I do too, but we both know that stopping that thing is our top priority."

RUMBLE

"RAAAAAAAAAAGGGHHH!"

Jaune gritted his teeth as he balanced himself when the ground shook once more, "I know I'm a stranger to you all, but believe me when I say I want to help!"

The ponies simply stared at Jaune in silence. The quiet was slowly making him more and more nervous, thinking they wouldn't believe him.

That was until Applejack let out a sigh, "He's telling the truth."

"Are you serious? What if he's just lying and trying to get our guard down.",  Rainbow Dash objected.

"He ain't lying. Ah know when somepony is telling the truth and he meant every word.",  Applejack said, to which the other ponies paused before they sighed.

"W-well if Applejack tr-trusts him th-then I do too.",  Fluttershy said before pointing out, "He...did save us…"

"I suppose you're right Darling.", Rarity nodded her head before turning to Twilight, " What do you think Twilight?"

Said unicorn took a look at Jaune, who waited nervously for her decision. She had stared into those ocean blue eyes of his, searching for any hidden motives but found none.

"...Okay, we trust you." 

"YAY! WELCOME TO THE TEAM!", Pinkie jumped up in celebration before she suddenly hugged Jaune's torso. He couldn't help but smile as he returned the pink pony's hug,  "Thank you."

Rainbow groaned at this before grumbled, "Fine...but I have my eye on you!", She emphasized this when she got close to his face and Jaune quickly nodded his head.

After she glared at him for a few more seconds she backed off, " Alright, so I'll ask again, does anypony have any Idea how we can stop that thing?"

"Actually…", All the mares turned to Jaune who had spoken up, " I may have a plan that might work, but we'll need all the help we can get…", He then stared at Discord, who had been trying to use his powers but with no luck.

He blinked when he turned and realized that all eyes were on him, "What?"

"You can't be serious!", Twilight complained, " He's our enemy! He's the reason everything has been so chaotic before that thing came!"

"That he may be but with the way he is now, do you think he's a threat?", Jaune pointed back at Discord. The spirit of chaos was snapping his talons repeatedly as if expecting something to happen before he gave up with a groan.

" Well...now that you mention it, even though he's back to normal he still lost his chaos magic." Twilight pondered, "But how are we to expect him to help in the first place?"

Discord rolled his eyes at the unicorn, "Oh please, as if I'll be helping you ponies at all."

"Why not?", Jaune asked obliviously, "I mean by helping us you won't have to deal with that monster chasing you down again, plus you can get some payback."

Discord stroked his beard as he thought about it.

Rarity let out a sigh, "I'm sorry to say this Darling but I highly doubt that-"

"YOU GOT YOURSELF A DEAL!"

"Wha-"

Rarity stared when she saw Jaune shake hands/paws with Discord. He then turned to the ponies with a shrug, "Hey, you may not like me but we both don't like that monster more, and as soon as it's gone the better!"

One groan later the group huddled up close in a circle to discuss their next move.

"Okay, so here's the plan…"

A few minutes later

The glitching monster roared as it smashed yet another building with its claws as it tried to find its prey, those annoying ponies and that strange creature that absorbed its glitches.

It growled when it found nothing so far and made its way down the street, not even noticing the large licorice rope below it until it was too late.

The rope was tugged and one of the monster's legs got tripped, sending it down to the ground. It growled, frustrated, and confused as it tried to lift itself off the ground. That was until more licorice-looking ropes were thrown over its neck and body. It roared in defiance when it tried to pull away but found that it couldn't move its head off the ground.

It looked to the side and saw Applejack pulling on one side of the rope along with her friend Fluttershy and several other animals. Bears, dogs, birds, turtles, snakes, chickens, even rabbits. The same thing happened on the other end of the rope as more woodland creatures pulled and tugged, keeping the monster from moving.

It glared at them just as it raised its main crab claws to swat them away, however they were covered in a blue and purple colored aura before they slammed into the ground. It tried to free them but failed as it found Twilight and Rarity holding down the claws with their magic.

The monster raised its one extra arm and was prepared to slam it down on them, but it was stopped and being held back by Rainbow Dash.

Enraged the monster was about to glitch when something else interrupted it.

"HAVE SOME PIE!"

"IT'S HAMMER TIME!"

Pinkie Pie appeared on its head, carrying a large pie in her hooves before slamming it down on one of its eyes. It didn't stop there though when Discord appeared alongside the pink mare holding a big wooden mallet in his grasp before he began to slam the blunt object on its other eye.

With the pain, it was going through the monster opened its mouth and let out a pained roar.

With its vision cut off the monster didn't see nor was it prepared when Jaune came riding the last giant fireworks rocket into its open mouth.

"And that's why I am in this situation right now. Looking back, this was not one of my brightest ideas, nor did I intend to do what's going to happen next. A bit of a summary, the ponies and Discord would restrain the monster while I light the rocket and send it down its throat. With all that distraction outside and inside of it, I would be able to start absorbing the glitches while the ponies will be able to use their Elements of Harmony to finish it off."

"Sounds like a good plan right? Well, it was! ...until I accidentally got hitched on the rocket."

"RRRRAAAAAAAGGGHHHH!!!"

"AAAAAAAAHHHHH!"

"..."

"..."

"..."

"...HMMMMM~"

"And got eaten by the thing."

JAUNE'S POV

"...Jaune…"

That voice...i-is someone calling me?  It's like a whisper I can barely hear and yet,  I feel like it's important. Wait, where am I?  I can't see anything, everywhere I look I only see darkness and I...I can't...I can't move. 

"-un, bo#! RU#!"

Another one? It's a lot louder and instead of a whisper, it's a more audible rasp. It sounds so familiar and why do I feel so sad hearing it? 

"You d##'# ####ng-"

A new voice but unlucky the other two it's tone is deep, really deep. I could sense... anger in its words...and it's directed at me? 
Why? What are they-

"You’re a ###k, a #r##!"

Ah! I-it stings. Their words are getting louder and they sting, it's stinging my heart. I can't hear it clearly but why does it feel...like an insult? Did I do something wrong? Why do I sense so much anger?

"...Jaune…"

It's that whisper again. I could hear it better now and it sounds so...so...I can't exactly define it by just one word but it feels so comforting, so angelic, so soothing to my heart. It's helping me forget the pain. 

"YOU DON'T BELONG!"

Ugh!  They're back. The pain is back and the voices are screaming. The anger in them is...it feels worse than ever. Their...hate… is too much. It hurts, it hurts! 

"YOU SHOULDN'T EXIST!"

"YOU'RE BETTER OFF DEAD!"

"YOU'RE USELESS!"

"YOUR VERY EXISTENCE IS A MISTAKE!"

"YOU MAKE EVERYTHING WORSE!"

This pain, this agony is unbearable. It feels like I'm being dragged down while being repeatedly stabbed in the heart. Like unseen hands holding my body with vice grips and pulling me deeper and deeper into the dark. I feel like my entire existence is fading away.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE I #$@+√ED YOU!!!"

"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT! YOU GOT OUR /#?$+ UP FOR NOTHING!"

"You are a coward, YOUR NOT #¥&%√!"

Why won't they stop screaming? What did I ever do wrong to them? I can't remember anything so please just stop!

ENOUGH!!!

Suddenly I was able to breathe again and I gasped for air. Taking in deep breaths to calm my shaken mind, In and out. Feel the air in my lungs and just keep breathing...just keep breathing, relax.

"It's...it's over. They're gone...", I was able to move and feel my body again. Thank goodness, I'll never take them for granted ever again. Being stuck in place and not being able to move is the worst. I wonder if that's what Discord felt when he got stoned. 

"Wait, Discord?" Then all at once, I remembered. The maze I woke up in, my glitches, the ponies, Discord...well actually I think I forgot a few things about him but I feel like he's someone important. Then there were books, the pain train of knowledge, the giant monster that had glitches too, the equally giant fireworks, the-

Wait a second. 

Didn't I accidentally ride one of those into...the...monster's...mouth…oh...oh buck...Oh, buck me up an apple tree, I AM INSIDE IT!!!!

"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH I DONT WANT TO BE DIGESTED!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh-why am I not melting?"

I popped open one of my eyes and thankfully saw that I'm not in its stomach and not surrounded by fleshy walls or corrosive acid. 

I let out a breath of relief and wiped away the sweat from my brow. Now that I didn't have to worry about being digested I can now focus on my surroundings.

Which, to be honest with me, is odd yet at the same time makes sense. So far I have seen the mix match creature that is Discord, the ridiculous structures that the glitches made, and even the monster's body which rivaled Discord's in craziness, yet none of those could compare to what I see. 

Well first off everything is made of neon lights. How do I know what that is? I don't know but if I have to compare this with anything then try to think of the most abstract painting you can think of, then multiply it by 10 and add bright neon light to everything. Red, yellow, blue, violet, periwinkle, basically every color you can think of and everything either formed a block, highlighted said block, or served as the background. I can't even tell which way is up or down with these strange structures poking out from the left to the right to even the ceiling, or is that the floor and I'm just upside down?

"...okay. I shouldn't be surprised since that thing was made from glitches but I never could have expected this. What am I gonna do now?" I spoke to myself either out of habit or in an attempt to keep myself calm like I usually do. However, ever since I've met that monster I have been regaining more of my lost emotions. This shouldn't have been a bad thing if they weren't all over the place. The dream, no, the nightmare earlier wasn't helping me either with its memory still fresh in my mind. I'll need to push that deep in the back of my mind for now cause my current situation is a lot more important than some nightmare.

"Alright, get your head in the game Jaune." 
I shook my head and focused more on this mess I got myself into, "Okay, so if my guess is correct then somewhere in here is the chaos magic that the monster is hiding. If I can find it then I'll just need to find a way out or to expose it to those ponies so they can use their rainbow beam on the thing and put it down for good...now that I think about it, I should ask what their names are after all this is done."

Now with a clear goal in mind, I just have to figure out which direction I should go.

"Heh?"

I felt my glitches shift inside me all of a sudden and...and something else. It was beating but it wasn't my heart, it felt different. I looked down at my chest where I felt it the most and saw there was something blue glowing brightly underneath my shirt.

I pulled on the collar of my shirt to take a closer look and saw it. An orb, a crystal blue orb the size of my fist is sticking out from the center of my chest...and it was glowing. 

"How the buck did I not notice that? Seriously, I would have felt an orb that's just sticking out of my chest. Even though it doesn't hurt, I still should have felt it."

However, before I could question it any further it began to shine brighter all of a sudden. At the same time I felt something tugging at my entire existence, something was calling me, beckoning me forth.

I was left with no words because at the same time I felt this connection as the buildings around me began to move. They shifted and scrambled themselves until they formed a long corridor around me. Then I saw it. Without anything blocking my vision I saw another orb in the distance, floating a few inches off the ground. It was twice my size and its surface looks like it's made from grey-colored stained glass. From where I'm standing it kind of looks like something was moving inside of it. 

"...Well I guess I know where I'm going now.", Taking one last glance at the orb, I fixed my shirt and began to cautiously walk my way towards the anomaly. Always keep my guard up and make sure my glitches were at the ready in case something jumps out and attacks me. I am in a dangerous territory so I need to be careful. While I was walking thought I couldn't help but wonder how the ponies outside, and Discord, were doing. 

"I just hope nothing bad is happening to them."

MEANWHILE OUTSIDE
NO ONES POV

“He did it...he stopped it…”

“I guess he did…”

On the outside world Twilight and the Spirit of Chaos stared at where the monster lay. However, instead of the glitching monstrosity that rampaged throughout the village, their eyes were glued to the giant grey cube in front of them with other mares beside them. 

It was shortly after Jaune had been consumed by the thing the monster had stopped moving completely. Everypony was nervously waiting for it to stand up and attack them, yet instead of doing that the creature curled upon itself and everypony watched as it slowly molded itself into the cube. 

At first, everypony thought that it was finally over, that the monster had finally been defeated. However, no cheers nor sounds of celebration were heard for the memory of Jaune, the strange being that had saved them, sacrificing himself is still fresh in their minds. 

Grief took hold of them, heck, even Pinkie Pie visibly deflated at the supposed death of our hero. Many blamed themselves for his loss, thinking there was another way...yet maybe there wasn't. Twilight theorized that Jaune knew there was no other way and chose not to tell it to any of them, that if he did then they would have stopped him, that cunning creature.

Despite briefly meeting each other and seeing them as strangers, he still helped without asking for anything in return but giving everything he had. He was truly a hero in their eyes and Twilight would promise that Jaune's sacrifice would not go unheard. His act of selfless heroism will be remembered and she and her friends will make sure of it. 

Not knowing that Jaune was still alive but it's not their fault for thinking that.

However there was still a problem, the glitches aren't gone nor are the twisted changes they have made in ponyville.

"I-I don't understand! The monster is already defeated but why aren't those things going away?!", Rarity exclaimed.

"They aren't gone because that Jaune guy is not here to clean it up!" Discord explained/guessed while looking at his claws/paws, " That boy was the only way for everything to go back to normal and to bring my powers back, but now that he's gone, WE ARE ALL DOOMED!"

Discord's wailing was cut short by Rainbow Dash stuffing his mouth shut with a large cupcake, which used to be a pot but was changed by the glitches. 

"You shouting isn't making things any better!" She turned to Twilight, "What are we gonna do now Twi? We can't just stand here and do nothing!"

It was then that they heard the screams of panic and fright coming from ponies scattered throughout the village.

"Oh no! We have to help!", The element of kindness finally spoke with the need to help those poor ponies giving her the courage she needs.

"Fluttershy's right!" Twilight turned to her friends with a determined look on her face, "We need to focus on getting everypony to safety. Rainbow Dash, fly over the town and guide anypony you see away from those glitches, as for everypony else, go help as many as you can. I'll go ahead and try to contact Princess Celestia and Princess Luna for help, we need their help."

"Alright!" "Understood!" "Let's get going y'all!" "Weeeeee~" "Okay…"

Rainbow Dash, Rarity, AppleJack, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy sprinted off into the town to save as many ponies as they could. 

"Alright, now I just need to go find Spike, write a letter to the princess, and they should be able to help us solve this mess."

"Yeaaaaaaaaahhhh...about that…"

Twilight stopped and turned to Discord, "What? What's wrong with my plan?"

"Oh nothing it's just that…", Twilight can see that Discord is visibly sweating and wore an uneasy smile.

"...what did you do?"

"Well, I didn't want them interrupting my fun at the time and so I decided to...shrink them into teeny tiny ponies and locked up their magic along with their wings."

Twilight's one eye twitched for a moment before she forced herself to calm down with a deep breath, "That's fine, I'll figure out a spell to fix that or they can just tell me, now where are they?"

"Yeah, that's the thing. I used to keep them in my pockets for safekeeping but then that thing started chasing me and I panicked and I started throwing random stuff at it."

"Okay...I didn’t know you even had pockets but what's that got to do with...no...no you didn't...please don't tell me you-", A look of absolute horror slowly etched itself into Twilight's face.

"Accidentally threw them at the monster and are probably either still alive inside of it or have already been digested? Yep, hehehe...I messed up didn't I?"

Back with Jaune
JAUNE'S POV

“Huh, what’s that high-pitched sound in the distance?”, I asked myself when I was halfway to the orb, then I got startled by it. It oddly sounded familiar, almost, but it could just be this place messing with my head. 

Never mind, I need to focus on getting to that orb. Hopefully, I can get some clues on where the chaos magic is at. Though I think the pulling sensation I keep feeling in my orb has some kind of connection to finding it, just a hunch tho. 

I've also noticed that the closer I get to the orb, the weirder things get. Strange-looking buildings and items started rising and falling all around me, yet the path forward remained unchanged for some reason. 

Speaking of strange-looking, I stopped as I watched the space to the left of the road turn into an ocean of green slime and rise until it reached my waist. A few inches above it, yellow clouds with dark blue polka dots appeared, raining down orange juice upon the sea and sailing its rocky tides is a small sailboat made from a cluster of acorns, walnuts and 
"Well, that's something you don't see every day."

"Sister, we hear a voice! We are not alone!" 

"Thank Faust! Quick! We need to find them before the storm gets worse!"

"...Are those two alicorns? Huh, I didn't know this place could create them...but after seeing everything here I shouldn't be surprised.", I said in a fascinated tone before I shook my head. 

"No, focus, I need to stay focused!"

Trying to ignore it and the fact that those two alicorns resembled the famous sun and moon sisters that governed Equestria, I continued walking again.

Yet I kept seeing that same boat sailing alongside me while its two occupants kept calling out for somepony. 

"WHERE ARE THOU?!?!"

"Can you see anypony yet Luna?!?!"

"Neigh!  All we see is an island. Wait! Sister, we think we see somepony!"

"Really? Where!?"

I watched with a raised brow as the boat got closer and closer to the edge of the slime sea. 

"We are getting closer, they should be…wait do you hear that sister?"

"Hear what?" 

"Tis sounds like a chorus of roars sister!"

"Chorus of roars? How can there be...oh no Luna those aren't roars, it sounds like a waterfall!!!"

"Impossible! How can there be a waterfall in the middle of the sea?!"

"I DON'T KNOW!"

"WHY ARE THOU SCREAMING?!?!"

"BECAUSE THE WATERFALL IS GETTING LOU-EEP!"

"AAAAAAHHHH!"

I stared as the sailboat sailed off the edge and was about to crash on the floor, all the while the two ponies on it kept on screaming.

Out of instinct, Jaune reached out and caught it just before it crashed. Slowly he raised the tiny object to his chest, getting a closer look at the two alicorns. 

Despite them being so small I could still see how they perfectly resembled Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. They had the same white and dark blue colored coats, their waving mains, and even their cutie marks are spot on.

"-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-"

However, I never obtained any information about them being capable of continuously screaming without the need to breathe. It is kind of cute though...for the first two minutes. 

Letting out a sigh, I opened my mouth, "Can you two please stop screaming? You aren't in danger anymore."

Thankfully they finally stopped but now I had to deal with the fearful look they were giving me. It stung my heart being looked at in that way, so I tried to change it, "Um, can you please not look at me like that? It hurts my feelings."

Oftentimes the truth is the best answer.

"THE GIANT TALKS!", But not always.

The one that looked like Princess Luna stepped in front of her sister and aimed her horn at me in a threatening manner.

"AWAY WITH YOU GIANT OR FACE THE WRATH OF THE PRINCESS OF THE NIGHT!"

"Now that's rude", I thought to myself with a sigh. The two were startled by this and Luna became more aggressive while the Celestia looked alike looked ready for a fight...at least in their perspective. No matter how intimidating they made themselves look, they were still tiny and still looked cute. I would hug them if I could if not for the fact that they were so small.

"Now now, there is no need for violence little ones."

"ART THOU MAKING FUN OF US? THY SHALL STAB YOU FOR SUCH INSULT!", Luna screamed with her renowned Royal Canterlot Voice at me before poking one of my fingers that held their boat with a wooden pike-wait how is shy holding that with her hooves?

"...You do know that's not working right?"

"...Can you please stop that?"

"... -_- Are you done?"

I wore a tired look on my face as Luna tried to catch her breath from constantly failing to attack me. Behind her Celestia giggled at the sight, having relaxed after Luna went for her 10th stab/poke.

I turned to her pleading, "Can you please tell your sister to relax? She might end up hurting herself at this point."

"We shall...take that...as your...surrender...creature...phew, we need rest.", Luna collapsed on the floor.

I rolled my eyes at her, "Whatever you say. Now then if you don't mind being carried, I need to continue my journey."

With that said I resumed walking toward my destination. Meanwhile, the two alicorns watched in awe and disbelief as the dark stormy weather they once knew is now replaced by bright and ever-changing neon pixels. 

"What the Tartarus? This can't be! What has happened to the dark clouds, the slimy sea, and the harsh salty winds?" Luna asked with wide-open eyes. 

"What you saw was mere, let's say, a very realistic illusion made from a mix of chaos magic and glitches. Speaking of which, how does it feel to be one of them? Do you feel emotion or-", I asked. 

The tiny Celestia shook out of her shock before sprouting even more questions, "Illusion? Chaos Magic? Glitches? I don't understand, can you please explain it to us from the very beginning?"

"Well I suppose I can, even if you two turn out to be illusions, it's better than talking to myself anyway.", I muttered under my breath but I was sure that they heard it, "I suppose we could begin back when I found myself in the maze. You see-"

One long explanation later (brought to you by a Chibi Celestia and Luna sitting on top of Chibi Jaune's Head) 

"-the next thing I know is that I'm heading towards the grey sphere. Then that's when I found you two on your little boat and you already know what happens next."

Luna rubbed her forehead with her hoof, trying to absorb the unbelievable story she heard, "Yes, we do. That was a few minutes ago." 

"I still find it hard to believe that a creature made from, these glitches, could cause so much destruction.", Celestia added with eyes wide with disbelief.

"And I find it hard to believe that I wasn't the first thing the monster devoured. It just seemed so focused on chasing Discord than anypony else, but then again you were forcefully fed to it."

I saw Luna roll her eyes at my comment, "Like how thou accidentally flew straight into this beast's mouth Sir Jaune?"

I sighed at the memory of my clumsiness, "I admit that was my fault, I wasn't paying attention at the time but it won't happen to me twice!"

"Are thou sure about that?", Luna asked with a smug look on her face. 

I was confused by what she said, "What do you mean by-oof!"

Oh, so that was what she meant. I was so focused on talking to them that I didn't pay attention to where I was going and ended up banging my head on something.

"Okay, that hurt."  Placing a hand on my head, I sent an annoyed glare at the two ponies on my palm. Both Luna and Celestia had their hooves over their mouths to hide their giggles, "You two could have at least warned me you know?"

"My apologies Sir Jaune.", Celestia said.

Luna on the other hand still wore that smug look, "We still think that thou deserves it."

Rolling my eyes, I turned my attention to what I had collided with, "Now just what did I bump into-oh would you look at that!"

It was the grey orb. After minutes of walking and talking, I had finally reached it. Even from afar I could tell it was big but seeing it up close, it was massive. It looked to be three times my size! 

"Finally here!" 

"Excuse me sir Jaune but may I ask just what that is exactly?", Celestia wondered as she and her sister curiously stared at it.

"I have no idea but I have a hunch it has something to do with Discord's stolen chaos magic."

Luna turned to look up at me, "How are thou so sure of that?"

"Because of that.", I pointed at the grey orb, or more specifically what is inside. Grey-colored mist swirled inside of the orb, moving like it had a mind of its own. Then from its mass, it created shapes of items, creatures, and more random stuff before they all slowly dissolved back into mist and repeated the cycle all over again. From body parts of ponies to even items like sporks, the mist kept on changing. It was...chaotic.

Luna and Celestia widened their eyes at the sight, "By Faust's mane, That is Discord's magic!", Celestia exclaimed. 

"Well that's good news then!", I said and had earned shocked looks from both the alicorns.

"WHAT?", Luna screamed with her canterlot voice, "WE JUST FOUND WHAT MAY BE THE MOST DANGEROUS SOURCE OF MAGIC IN EQUESTRIA THAT IS CAPABLE OF DESTROYING EVERYTHING! A TINY SPEC OF IT COULD CORRUPT EVEN THE PUREST OF CREATURES AND TURN THEM INTO HORRIFYING MONSTERS! HOW IS THAT GOOD NEWS?!?!" 

"Because now I can expose it to the outside world where your little ponies can vaporize it with their lethal rainbow beam! Now if you excuse me I'm going to go ahead and find the best spot to start digging."

"Wha?", Huh, I seem to have broken tiny Luna's mind but now it was Celestia's turn to raise her voice, "We think that you do not understand how the Elements of Harmony function, they are only able to subdue chaos by imprisoning it. Furthermore, how are you exactly going to dig? Surely you don't believe your claws are enough, everything here looks to be made of metal!"

Hmm, she does have a point. At least the part about the harmony not being able to destroy chaos, they both need the other to exist. What is chaos if everything is chaos and what is harmony if it's only harmony? They'll both lose their meaning...but the abomination isn't chaos itself, it's merely using it. Meaning I can just destroy the monster! The chaos magic tho, I'll have to deal with that at a later date, I need to focus on what I can do. Absorbing Glitches

"I have to admit I will have to change my plan with this new information you have given me.", Both of the sisters yelped as I placed them on top of my head and felt them clinging to my hair, "But I am still going to make us a way out of here! Equestria needs the two of you now more than ever!"

"We admit that thou goal is noble Sir Jaune but how exactly are you going to do that?", Luna asked.

A grin appeared on my face as I felt that familiar sensation, that tingling sensation I have felt many times before. The only difference is that now I know exactly where it was coming from, the orb in my chest, "Simple, I'll eat our way out!"

I can only imagine Luna and Celestia sharing a look as they tried to understand what I just said, "Eat? Like what you told us earlier?"

"YEP!"

"Huh?!?", The moment I heard the sound of my glitches I thought I'd see the glitches around me start flying into my orb, and then a few minutes or later we would be free. However, what I saw instead is a blue beam shooting out of my orb towards the grey one. I didn't know what was happening, they have never done this before and-

The world around me suddenly started to slow down to the point that time stopped entirely. However, I could not look around at my surroundings since my sight is focused on my beam...being held by another beam, but this one held a dark grey color and aura I can only describe as-

"Chaos...", I whispered under my breath as the beams subsided but did not end there. I watched with mouth agape as the grey orb in front of me started to shrink down until it was my size. Its surface rippled and its form compressed against each other until it formed a familiar shape...wait, why does it look like me? 

It took mere seconds for the orb to change from its once huge spherical form into what I could only describe as a featureless statue of me made from grey-colored glitches. Then suddenly, it opened its eyes, or where the eyes would be, to reveal nothing but pools of pitch-black tar. It lay its gaze at me, staring at me with its cold lifeless gaze.

"Ugh...hi? My name's Jaune, what's yours?", I stuttered out greetings despite the sheer tension in the air. It, whatever it is, doesn't seem to be hostile. Maybe I could befriend it? I mean we both are made from glitches and look kind of the same, so what's the harm in trying?

"There...can...only...be...one..."

"...what was that you said?", Despite its raspy voice I could have sworn he said that there could only be one...but I'm sure it meant something else than what I feared it was. Yeah, it has to be some kind of misunderstanding.

...It just turned its hands into claws, It literally just exchanged its hands for a pair of 4 long, sharp, and pointy claws...I think I'm starting to understand the meaning behind its words, "That is kind of disturbing."

"There...can...only...be...ONE!!!"

Tendrils, the thing just grew dozens of tendrils from its back. The worst part about them? They have spikes, thousands of sharp and deadly spikes throughout their length.  

"...now that is just disgusting...", Then the thing pounced right at me and as the creature, I officially dupped as Abomination, lunged at me, I could only utter what may be my last words before I had to dodge and face our inevitable showdown, "This is just not my day..."
