> Wallflower Blush's Precious Little Strife. > by Smooch > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Just Another Day > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sunset chewed on the eraser of her pencil in a slow dazed manner. Those teal-colored eyes absolute miles away from the monotony of the classroom at this moment.  Wallflower Blush watched the golden-skinned beauty in a flustered state from the outer edge of the room. Thoughts never once on the history book laid out before her, rather if Sunset enjoyed to nibble the lower lip upon making out. The soft circular motions graced on the pencil one that drove Wallflower to pure envy. "What medicine was accidentally created in 1928 from a contaminated culture plate, Ms. Blush?" Cheerilee snapped the shy young woman from her inner desires, with an enigmatic question.  "Pencil." Wallflower heard the word escape her lips in a warm wave of embarrassment. The class erupted in a shockwave of giggles, Sunset even flashing a sly smirk towards the green-skinned girl. Those pouting lips curled into a lovely cheshire grin, equal parts sassy and elegant.  "Wasn't it Penicillin?" Sunset quipped aloud with a flaunt of her hand. "Indeed it was Ms. Shimmer! " Cheerilee chirped in excitement as she began to explore more on the subject.  Wallflower quickly covered her face from sight, the sweater-clad girl once again a laughing stock of the whole classroom.  Her little slice of nothing was hidden from all except prying teachers, but at least the view was special.  Sunset soon finished her statement on Sir Alexander Fleming, those haunting eyes giving a quick flash to the edge of the classroom.  Wallflower could feel an explosion of butterflies erupt into her belly, what did she look over to see? It couldn't be herself.  Could it? Without hesitation, she flung her history book upward, the green one quick to build her fortress of knowledge around herself as an escape tactic.  Sure the book happened to be upside down at the current moment but to save herself embarrassment she'd just learn to read it off-kilter.  The claustrophobic classroom stuffed with inspirational posters and apathetic teenagers soon emptied to only a few stragglers.  The loud chime of the school bell a strict mistress, ushering the flood of youth through the hallways at top speed. Wallflower found herself pushed to the wall waiting for the tide to lower, was a far easier solution than being swept away amongst the crashing hormonal waves of people. Melted chocolate eyes could see through the crowd with ease, Sunset meeting up with her friends for a quick word. The possibility of having a group actually care or even dare she think worry about somebody was such an odd thought and sight to behold.  Did they wait on hand and foot, for news to find them well? Or was it more of a passive thing? Wallflower could feel her brain tingle with the questions of the unknown.  She should remember to ask her friends later, like when they exist.  Though watching her golden-skinned crush from afar was a delight. She couldn't simply stalk from the shadows all day,  the crashing wave of flesh had subsided and in the time it took to break her daze, she was once more alone. Books clutched close to her chest, she stepped forward calmly.  The echo of her footsteps haunted the hallways in a lonely melody. She could take her time to the next class, she wouldn't be missed. A sad truth of forgotten youth.  Most of the day passed with little incident which was a rarity. Usually by lunch Wallflower had proven herself helpless by some pathetic standard of measure.  Be it not getting a partner in science or having to sing a solo in chorus, the world had a way of embarrassing her. Wallflower held her vibrant blue tray high as if half expecting to trip in front of everybody.  Awkwardly swaying her hips, she was able to safely take her seat at a lonely table on the far corner of the cafeteria.  Her dingy red table of solitude and isolation.  Except for Moonlight Raven who had been sitting at this table from day one, her elegant look of indifference was a statement of her individuality. With a limp wrist, her fork prodded the lush green salad upon her plate. Ink black hair swept back with refined class, wearing a sleeveless violet top and ripped jeans combo. It said, "I don't care how I look, but totally do." Wallflower plopped down next to her ever silent cafeteria buddy, a long-drawn-out noise of flatulence echoed into the air and possibly a few tables away. "It was the chair." Wallflower blushed in absolute honesty.  Moonlight simply narrowed her honey-colored eyes. "Ahem." Wallflower nervously cleared her throat.  The pale girl let her brow quirk in slight annoyance. "What?" "Are we considered friends? " Wallflower shrugged lanky shoulders confused.  "No, we sit together for separate reasons neither of us can fix. " Moonlight lifted her styrofoam cup of tea to her lips. "Oh?" Wallflower hummed. "You're an outcast who doesn't exist and I have to walk here from the Band Room." Moonlight exhaled in a drawn-out sigh. "Every table is always full on my arrival. " She sounded truly deprived of decent sitting arrangements.  "Wow, straight for the jugular there." Wallflower fumbled to try and open her pudding cup. An action easier said than done, the silver lid abnormally suctioned to her cup. "I don't like to mince words." Moonlight ate a cherry tomato from her fork casually.  "I'm mad, but can't help but respect you." Wallflower pursed her lips in emotional uncertainty.  "Yeah, I get that a lot."  "We might not be friends, but it's nice to still talk to someone. " Wallflower giggled half-heartedly in tone. "But you're talking to yourself?" Moonlight returned a confused glance. "What? No, we're…" Wallflower couldn't help but scrunch her nose, the pale girl instantly rising to her feet and as she walked away with a tray in hand. "Ah, I see what she did there." Wallflower lifted her juice box to her lips. Taking the longest sip of her life. > Trix Of The Trade. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The schoolyard was full of life as teenagers littered the grounds in a blur of various colors and expressions. The edge of winter was something out of a calendar with a light layer of snow spread across the ground.  A few students were dressed more casually, able to comfortably enjoy the cool day, while most walked the sidewalks in fashionable winter wear.  The sky was a pale turquoise with a few lazy clouds which lofted about. The bus near full capacity waited for those who seemed to always be late. Outside others waited in the snow for the next, those ahead full of smug warmth. Sunset was one such person ahead of the curve. She chatted with Rainbow Dash about her day and band practice, each quick to share a giggle amongst friends. The redhead beauty quickly spotted a true treasure outside her frozen window.  "Hang on." Sunset politely excused herself as she pulled the window down with a bit of muscle.  Trixie Lulamoon stood waiting on the sidewalk overdressed in a puffy light blue coat complete with white trims. The wannabe magician had matching boots at knee-length, as oversized pink earmuffs completed the illusion. "Looking fabulous, Trixie! " Sunset playfully winked towards the blonde. "Trixie adores staying on the cutting edge! " She replied in third person pride. "Absolutely! So I was wondering, when you talk do know if it's going to come out of your mouth or ass?" Sunset laughed aloud with a fierce grin. Trixie couldn't help but drop her books onto the snow in shock. "Screw you, Sunset!" She flicked off the redhead from below.  "Bet it's a crapshoot!" Sunset yelled out as the bus pulled away, giggles left to dance on the cool breeze. "Wow, she acknowledged you." Wallflower quipped truly impressed by the banter. "Trixie hates you so much!" Trixie snapped with that devious glint in her eyes.  "That's a bit strong." Wallflower slumped her shoulders defeated. The young magician shot a frightened glance towards the sudden noise. "Trixie didn't mean you um...Waterfall?" "Wallflower."  "Didn't you steal memories from Trixie? " She eagerly leaned forward with an investigative gaze. "You, remember that?" Wallflower ran a hand through her messy green locks nervously.  "Trixie always remembers a fabulous magic performance! " She released a melodic giggle before giving a quick spin in place.  Wallflower couldn't help but turn a bright shade of red from hearing of her past actions. She half expected to see a fiery rage in those large violet eyes, but instead, she could only see wonderment.  "Just so you know, I don't know any other occult stuff." Wallflower nervously giggled in return. "Trixie doesn't mind, she prefers to be the main magician anyways! " Trixie spoke in a bubbly melody as she began to walk away from the bus zone. Wallflower sighed as her hand waved in a silent goodbye.  Yet oddly the teen magician spun around on her heel. "Would you like to accompany Trixie?" She asked with a magical little wink. Wallflower felt herself burn a bright red one more. "Accompany where? " Wallflower could feel her voice crack with each word spoken. "The most magical place in Canterlot!" Trixie purred in excitement as she tossed a smoke bomb at her feet. Blue smoke engulfed both girls in a flash as they were soon off! Wallflower could still feel her eyes burn from that staged explosion from the school.  Downtown Canterlot a grayish blur in her irritated red eyes. Trixie at her side with a nervous grin across her face, a hand quickly brushed platinum bangs away from her eyes. "Sorry, I never really could master the smoke bombs." Trixie sheepishly giggled as they soon arrived at an oversized beige building with blotched-out red letters. "Where are we? The hospital? " Wallflower rubbed away the tears from her cheeks. "No, the Thrift Store, ta-da!" Trixie proudly pushed the double doors open.  Within were racks of various unique clothes. Sequins, studs, and even glitter designs assaulted the senses.  A whole aisle dedicated to cheesy sayings on old fabric, be it about missing beef or mistaken droids. The back area alone something out of a Las Pegasus showroom.  Wallflower couldn't help but smile to herself.  Trixie's unique sense of fashion made a lot more sense suddenly and she found it adorable.  "This is awesome! " Wallflower spoke in a polite voice full of excitement.  "I could tell you'd get it. Those eyes are expressive. " Trixie leaned inward with a warm smile.  Wallflower snorted unsure about that remark as her wild green hair toppled down over her face embarrassed. Trixie couldn't help herself but lift a delicate hand upward, slowly brushing away the bangs from those melted chocolate eyes. "Don't sell yourself short. " She winked playfully.  "I don't!  So no more third-person huh?" Wallflower quickly changed the subject.  Trixie pulled away with a scrunched-up nose and embarrassed look. "Trixie doesn't know what you mean!" She cleared her throat with a glance away. It wouldn't take long for the tension to melt away in a wave of warmth and laughter. Both young women enjoyed their time shopping through the ages of fashion long passed.  Wallflower trying on an adorable outfit inspired by the rolling twenties or perhaps actually from then.  Trixie enjoyed a cute sixties-inspired dress that echoed back to the psychedelic colors of free love. Wallflower thought she filled it out perfectly,  the green-skinned beauty easily slipped on a cute oversized hoodie that belonged to a fashionable introvert no doubt. Both girls giggling aloud in joyous entertainment. Wallflower hadn't known such activities existed in this lifetime,  to chat with another and have them listen.  To laugh at jokes one was in the loop for and to feel wanted by somebody.  Trixie laughed aloud at the sight of emo on green. She pranced over to the adorable little dork in delight, her slender arms draped over narrow green shoulders. Wallflower was in shock as she could feel their bodies press together tightly, hearts beating as one in a melodic ballet. "Trixie thinks you should open up more like this. " She intertwined her fingers with the shy introvert.  "You do?" Wallflower could feel Trixie's warm breath on the nape of her neck. "I think it's cute." Wallflower flashed a weak little smile, those words touched her heart with a spark of delight. Closing eyes she leaned in close with lips pouted, heart racing much like a stampede as the world seemed to fade away.
