Anon-A-Miss, the well known cyberbully over the gossip site MyStable had ruined the lives of the entire student body, along with who the account had tried to hurt most.

Sunset Shimmer.

After the Canterlot Movie Club confessed to being the ones behind the Anon-A-Miss account, and not Sunset Shimmer. Her name had been cleared, but the damage was already done.

During the period of time in which the students believed she was the Anon-A-Miss profile, she had been attacked and injured deeply. They had broken two of her ribs and her right leg.

She had not been seen in school the last following days leading up to winter break, her ex-friends who betrayed her tried to look for her but couldn't find her. The student body had tried to look for her but had no luck either. What Sunset didn't know was that Flash Sentry, Snips and Snails, The Dazzlings, Trixie, Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna believed she was innocent.

Flash, Trixie, Snips and Snails felt awful for not telling her that they knew she was innocent.

Principal Celestia was reading through the names of students who helped post information to the Anon A Miss account, she had seen a small few of the student body and had yet to talk to more.

She glanced through Sunset Shimmer's record and read through it only to find some concerning information.

D.O.B: June 20th 1997

Parents: none

Social Security Number: none

After re-reading the document in her hands and saw those pieces of information it all became clear to her. Sunset lived alone. Without a family.

Celestia could feel her heart break inside. Had Sunset been alone all that time without a family? She was an orphan? The idea brought her to tears as she sobbed, she felt completely guilty and saddened by the fact that Sunset didn't have a proper family.

"Sister, are you alright?" Vice-Principal Luna asked, worried for her now sobbing sister.

Luna saw the document in her big sister's hand and read the document. She gasped and placed a hand over her mouth to stop herself from crying.

"Has she really been alone all this time? And it's been under our noses?" Luna whispered sadly, feeling pity for the teen. Sunset had been reluctant to talk about her family and her past.

"What can we do about this?" Luna asked worriedly for the teen. Without a Social Security Number, a family and legal documents to prove her existence she wouldn't be able to have a real future.

"I want to adopt her, she needs a family Luna, otherwise she has no future in this world!" Celestia said, earning a look of shock, but also respect from her sister.

"Are you sure about this? What if Ms Shimmer refuses?" Luna questioned, suddenly regretting asking it.

"If she rejects it, then I'll have no other choice but to let her go back to her own world. If she accepts I'll be really happy, I've always loved Sunset as if she were my own child. She may not want a family now, but deep down she knows she needs one." Celestia retaliated softly, a small smile growing on her lips.

Luna could only smile and hug her sister, she'd always wanted a niece and Celestia had always wanted a child, but since she was sadly infertile and unable to have one that possibility had been taken from them. And had hurt them both deeply.

"Just think about this, I get to have a niece, you and Discord get to have a child and your dream of becoming a mother becomes true." Luna suggested, egging her sister on to want to adopt the bacon-haired teen.

"Luna, do you perchance know where she lives?" Celestia asked her younger sister.

The gray-skinned woman read over the document and found an address on Sunset's profile. The two headed out of Celestia's office and towards Celestia's car.

They buckled in and drove towards the address, stopping at a flat of apartments.

The two walked into the building and walked towards the reception desk.

A pink-skinned receptionist walked towards them.

"May I ask why you're here?" She kindly asked the two educators.

"We're here for my student, a Miss Sunset Shimmer, what is her room number?" Celestia asked, her voice becoming almost worried.

"Her room number is 26." The receptionist informed them. Taking them to the designated room.

Celestia knocked on the door, waiting for Sunset to reply and open the door for them.

When Sunset didn't reply and open it for them, they became worried.

"Sunset? Are you there? It's Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna. We're worried for you, can we come in?" Celestia softly asked the teen, hoping for a response.

Eventually, Sunset opened the door, her hair was dishevelled, there were bags under her eyes and she looked haggard.

"Sure, just let me get dressed quick." Sunset asked, before rushing off and changing into some fresh clothes.

The two educators walked into her apartment, everything looked tidy and clean. However it didn't appease them.

"Sunset, we'd like to ask you something and it's very important." Celestia asked, her voice gentle and to a degree, motherly.

Sunset looked at them fearfully, she hoped they wouldn't find out.

"I want you to answer me truthfully, Sunset. Are you an orphan?" Celestia asked worriedly, gently cupping sunset's cheek and rubbing it softly with her thumb, causing Sunset to blush a deep crimson.

The bacon-haired teen sighed and gave a quiet, "yes"

Celestia gave her a look of sadness and worry, before drawing her into a gentle hug, holding the girl close to her.

"I've been an orphan for as long as I'm able to remember. After a magic accident back home the princess, who is your counterpart took an interest in me and I became her personal student. After looking into the mirror I saw a future I thought at the time was my destiny, I thought I was going to be a princess just like her. She was always something of a mom to me, but she never felt the same. After being kicked out of the castle I knew I wouldn't be welcome back and knew I'd lost the only pony who I'd considered like a mom." Sunset sobbed, looking away in shame,

She was disgusted with what she did in the past and started to hate herself for it. At times she had considered ending her life, and came close to it during the Anon-A-Miss debacle. She felt unlovable and unwanted.

Celestia held Sunset tighter, letting the teen sob into her. Mothers were patient, after all.

Sunset sobbed into her principal, all her life she just wanted someone who would love her, be proud of her, care about her and be there for her. She had been alone her entire life.

Celestia's heart ached as she saw Luna wrap her arms around Sunset and hug her. The teen being held and comforted by the two people who would soon become her mom and her aunt.

Luna hugged her soon-to-be niece softly, comforting the heartbroken teen.

Celestia planted a soft kiss on Sunset's forehead, making the girl blush deeper.

"I have an offer for you, Sunset." Celestia began softly, squeezing her soon-to-be daughter's hand softly.

"How would you like it if me, my husband Discord and Luna adopted you into our family?" Celestia softly offered, cradling the bacon-haired teen in her arms soothingly.

Sunset's eyes widened at the offer, she smiled happily as tears came to her eyes. She sobbed into Celestia, her mom's shoulder and felt an arm lovingly rub her shoulder and back.

"Yes!, I'd love for you to be my mom!" Sunset exclaimed, smiling joyfully as she giggled and relaxed into her mother's embrace, enjoying the warmth and softness of her body, inhaling her vanilla scent.

Celestia couldn't help but smile at the teen. At long last her dream of becoming a mother was real and finally happening. She had a daughter now. Someone to love, care for, gush over and show affection towards.

Sunset nuzzled her mother, earning a soft kiss on her forehead.

the trio made their way back to Celestia's car and headed back to her new home with her new mom and aunt.

Once they made it safely home, Sunset got into her set of pajamas she brought with her and climbed into bed.

Celestia walked in and made her way over to Sunset. She pulled the covers over her and tucked her into bed, making sure Sunset was cozy and comfortable. She was going to get the girl's room styled and painted for her to make her feel more welcome and at home.

Discord walked into the room and smiled at his wife, before kissing her softly and hugging his new daughter. He bent down and kissed her cheek.

"Goodnight sweetheart." Discord whispered softly to the sleeping teen. Smiling at her happily.

"Sleep tight, sweet dreams." Celestia cooed at the girl, her precious baby girl.

"Night mommy, night daddy." Sunset mumbled sleepily, curling slightly in her bed as she began to succumb to sleep's hold.

The two exited her room and closed the door, letting the teen sleep peacefully.

Hospital: Chapter 2.

Sunset and Celestia sat in the hospital's waiting room, waiting to get Sunset checked out for any wounds that might have been caused by the other students.

The duo waited for a while, eventually being called in by their private doctor whom Celestia had known since childhood, a close friend, she could say.

"Sunset, this is doctor Kind Heart, she's a family doctor and she'd like to take a look at you. If you're comfortable with that?" Celestia asked softly, not wanting to scare Sunset off and make her feel uncomfortable.

"Yeah, I'm comfortable with it mom." Sunset said, softly hugging her adoptive mother.

Celestia's heart fluttered after hearing the girl call her that. Although she had called her 'mommy' in her sleep which she would need to address to the girl so that she knew she was comfortable with being called that.

Sunset nervously took her shirt off, showing her nude upper torso. Faded scars on her back from when she had wings when she was a demon. Bruises, cuts and other scars lined her arms and her back.

Celestia's eyes widened in shock and horror at the scars and other disturbing injuries her daughter had.

She softly squeezed her daughter's hands within her own and gave Sunset a worried and heartbroken look.

"Why didn't you tell me? I could have helped you sooner. Did I set you to repairing and tidying when I should have been helping trying to heal wounds?" Celestia asked guiltily, recieving a saddened and heartbroken look from her daughter, which only served to increase her guilt.

Sunset sniffled, and sobbed as she hugged her mother, needing comfort and reassurance. Her whole life she had no one to support or take care of her. Although now was a late time, she melted into her mother's arms and whimpered.

"I didn't deserve help, or to get these treated. The magic healed it within a few days. Dark magic always has a price to pay." Sunset retorted sadly, looking down in guilt and shame.

"Sunset, you are not a monster. Please do not refer to yourself as such anymore. You are a charming, amazing, kind, caring and beautiful young lady. You mean ever so much to me." Celestia consoled, rubbing her daughter's back in hopes to soothe her.

Sunset still felt guilty about what happened before and after the Fall Formal. Although the nightmares before were severe, the nightmares afterwards were way worse. She barely got a wink of sleep at night and would be unable to rest.

She still thought of herself as a she-demon that everyone called her, and didn't blame them. After things calmed down she felt a little bit better. But it still haunted her. It always would.

When the dazzlings tried to take over, she blamed herself endlessly and often locked herself in her apartment. Especially after what Celestia and Luna said to her under the influence of the dazzlings.

"Perhaps Miss Shimmer is trying to make someone else out to be the bad element."

Those words stung her to her very core. Those small fifteen words had a much larger effect on her than they'd thought. Although she never brought it up or told them, it left her in tears almost every night. Why would Principal Celestia even want to adopt her if she still saw her as a bad student? It had left her to question herself, which took some time to figure out. And still would for a while.

Although she'd forgiven them immediately, she still couldn't look at them without hearing those words in her head.

After the Battle Of The Bands, she thought she'd been forgiven by everyone, which made her feel much better. But all of that reformation went to waste after Anon-A-Miss came along.

Once it started to spew everyone's secrets, the blame was immediately pinned on her and she was remembered as the evil She-Demon.

The death threats only made it worse for her. She'd considered killing herself multiple times but could never come close to it.

What a coward she was.

She'd even been attacked by multiple students, and those wounds had not been looked at or healed.

That was why she had come here today, for that reason as well.

Kind Heart felt over sunset's leg and gave it an x-ray scan, showing that her left leg was fractured, however what she found out next was much worse.

She had three fractured ribs after being punched and thrown against a car.

Kind Heart informed the two of Sunset's injuries, only for Celestia to gasp in shock and hug the bacon-haired teen, holding her protectively.

"Why didn't you tell me about these? I could have helped you get these taken care of and healed?" Celestia questioned softly, only for Sunset to give her another fearful look as her breath hitched sharply and increased in speed slightly.

"I-I was scared, I didn't want anyone to find out, or they'd probably try to do worse, perhaps even try to kill me. Plus I didn't have the funds needed for the medicine to get my ribs and leg fixed, I barely had enough to pay rent for my room.." Sunset answered quickly, looking away in fear and guilt.

Celestia drew the teen into a gentle hug, letting the girl relax into her arms.

"Next time something like this happens, please tell me alright? You know you can come to me about anything, I'm not only your principal, I'm also your mom. I want to make sure you're happy, warm and safe." Celestia soothed, running her hand through Sunset's hair, causing her to sigh and cuddle deeper into her embrace.

The two eventually bid their farewells and made it home, after telling Luna and Discord about her injuries, Luna decided to become more alert to not only protect her niece, but also the other students.

"I'm so sorry you've been injured like this. If I could I'd get them sentenced to juvie for a few months for assault." Discord consoled, hugging his adoptive daughter softly. The poor girl didn't deserve any of the treatment she was shown due to the Anon-A-Miss account made and used by the CMC.

"Thanks dad, I love you guys." Sunset happily stated as she hugged her father, her aunt and mother joining in as her family hugged her.

As night soon came, Sunset once again got ready for bed. She took her medicine to help fix her injuries and climbed into her bed, but not before being tucked into bed once again by Celestia, although most would be creeped out by it, Sunset enjoyed the feelings stirring within. The amount of love and happiness she had for Celestia adopting her and taking care of her. She also gave Celestia a chance at being a mother, something she could never have due to her infertility.

Sunset sleepily yawned and snuggled deeper into the sheets. Celestia softly kissed her forehead, Discord following and doing the same.

"Goodnight sweetie, sleep tight." Celestia happily cooed, watching the teen sleep.

"Have wonderful dreams sweetheart." Discord softly whispered to the now sleeping girl.

"Night mom, night dad." Sunset mumbled groggily, smiling as she slept.

Celestia and Discord watched over her for a few minutes as she slept, before exiting her room and closing the door to let her sleep peacefully as they retired to their own room for the night.

Family Bonding: Chapter 3.

Sunset awoke to a gentle hand flowing through her hair, the soothing strokes beginning to pull her back to sleep.

"Shhh, sleep in a little longer Sunset, you deserve it." Celestia cooed, humming a relaxing melody which helped ease Sunset into a drowsy state.

She yawned and snuggled back into the bed, feeling her mother run her hand through her hair once again. The soothing tune making the bacon-haired teen fall back asleep, comforted by her mother's warm hands and soothing voice.

Sunset woke up and stretched her arms and body. She felt much more refreshed than usual. Did Celestia really sing to her and let her sleep in longer than usual? Childlike feelings of love and joy swirled deep within her at the thought.

She exited her room and took a relaxing shower, her leg wasn't giving her as much pain. It seemed it was getting better. Sunset smiled as she washed herself.

After the shower, she got dressed and headed downstairs to find her mom and dad cuddling on the couch. Celestia was laying on Discord's body, her arms wrapped over his shoulders and his arms on her lower back.

The two opened their eyes and noticed their daughter standing next to them, the two got up and pulled her into their arms, letting her be held by them. The amount of love they had for the bacon-haired teen always made them smile. Speaking of which, they needed to finish up the adoption papers and then she would have a real family to love her and care for her.

"Good morning Sunset, how did you sleep?" Celestia softly asked, letting the girl rest her head on her shoulder.

"I slept fine." Sunset answered, enjoying the warmth of her mother's body. She felt so safe and relaxed when she was with them.

"We're glad." Celestia softly whispered, hugging the teen tighter in her arms. Ever since she had taken the girl in, she'd become more maternal over her. She couldn't wait to adopt Sunset and give her a real family. Something she had unfairly missed out on.

The document was nearly finished, and they had signed everything else, the only thing needed to be signed was Sunset's consent. Since Discord was a judge, he could get the document made legal with the help of Chrysalis.

They only had a day or two left for it to be completed.

"We'd like for you to come with Luna and us to visit your aunt Chrysalis, that is if you would like to sweetheart?" Celestia asked happily.

"Sure, I'd like to meet my other aunt." Sunset replied excitedly as she hugged her parents. Over the days she'd been living with her new family, she'd come to learn more about them than she had previously known.

The quartet got ready and dressed as they drove to visit Chrysalis. They didn''t want Sunset to think she had no other family besides them who loved her.

They arrived at the house, being greeted by Luna and Chrysalis. Sunset soon learned much about the two.

She'd learned that soon-to-be aunts were good friends in college and university, and were now dating. Chrysalis had become an agent of the government. She'd also found out that Luna was a gamer, like her.

Deep down in her heart, Sunset desired for Celestia and Discord to adopt her. She had come to love the two as a mother and father. She had grown close to them and wanted them to become her new adoptive parents.

Ever since she'd been kicked out of the castle and exiled by Princess Celestia, her hopeful soon-to-be mother's counterpart, she'd been alone without a family for years since she landed in the human version of Equestria.

Ever since Anon-A-Miss happened, she'd been alone without any friends or family to believe and protect her. How could the school think she was the account? She knew she did many bad things in the past, but she thought she'd been forgiven! Or so she thought.

Perhaps that's what fate intended for the unicorn-turned-human teen, to be alone without a family her entire life.

The bacon haired teen could feel tears prick in her eyes. Everyone began to look at her in worry.

"Sweetheart, are you alright?" Celestia asked, concern in her voice as she cupped her soon-to-be daughter's cheeks, caressing them lovingly.

"Why do you want me?" Sunset croaked, tears burning in her eyes as she looked away from her soon-to-be mother, filled with regret and shame.

Celestia and Discord gave each other concerned glances, had they done or said something to upset or hurt her?

"What do you mean?" Celestia asked, her voice growing more worried.

"Why do you want me? I'm nothing special to no one. I was even exiled by my teacher whom I came to love as a mother. Even my friends turned on me, not that I blame them, who would want me anyway?" Sunset asked, sighing sadly as she hiccuped.

The alabaster skinned woman pulled Sunset into her arms and held her in a maternal embrace, letting the bacon-haired teen sob into her arms. Celestia lovingly rubbed her back in an attempt to soothe and comfort her. Discord lovingly ran his hand through her hair in hopes it would help her relax and calm down.

"Deep breaths, sweetheart. It's ok." Celestia crooned lovingly to the girl. Trying to ease Sunset's sadness and pain.

"Why? Why wasn't I wanted by anyone?" Sunset hiccuped, tears streaming down her cheeks as her guardians attempted to comfort her.

"We want you, honey. We want to adopt you, take care of you and be the family you never got to have. We both can't believe so many selfish people didn't adopt you and become a sort of family to you. We both promise you that we're always going to be here for you, no matter what happens. We both love you very much. You're such a precious and special girl, Sunset. You have so many amazing talents and skills. You've made me and Luna so very proud. We want to be the people you can come to when you need help or need someone to talk to. Please don't ever think otherwise." Celestia whispered lovingly, rocking her daughter in her arms as she comforted her.

"Mommy, daddy." Sunset hiccuped, she'd always wanted to call someone both of those names, people she could love as family.

"Shhh, sweetie, mommy and daddy are right here. It's alright Sunset, let it all out." Celestia whispered, holding the girl as she trembled and shook. Sobs wracked through her body as she expressed every feeling of anguish, sorrow and guilt she'd lived with for years.

"I-I'm s-sorry. I didn't mean to say mommy and daddy. It just happened and I love you both like parents. Please adopt me. I want you guys as my family." Sunset whimpered, hugging her guardians.

"Of course we'll adopt you, we've come to love you as a daughter, and we want to make it official." Celestia stated, hugging the girl tighter as Sunset cuddled deeper into her arms, feeling the warmth and softness of her mother's body cover and protect her, lulling her into a peaceful slumber

They handed the bacon-haired teen the adoption paper, and Sunset happily signed it. Making the two her new adoptive parents and family. Crying with joy as they held her. The trio smiled contently, a new happy family.

In a few days, they were going to head down to a courthouse and make the document legal. Then they could start bonding with her, and then they could really call her their daughter.

Discord gently picked up the teen, noticing she had fallen asleep in Celestia's arms. He smiled to her as he picked the bacon-haired girl up and carried her bridal style to her new room.

The duo tucked her into bed and kissed her goodnight, smiling with joy as they watched their new daughter sleep for a few seconds, before retiring to their own room for the night.

Bedtime Story: Chapter 4.

View Online

The evening had rolled around, and Sunset was getting ready for bed, she had just brushed her teeth and got changed into her pajamas for the night.

She climbed into her bed and curled into it tiredly, hoping Celestia would come and tuck her in. And maybe read her a bedtime story.

Bad Sunset! Bad! I can't think like that. I'm not a child! Sunset mentally scolded herself, trying to dissuade herself from thinking childish thoughts about Celestia, her new adoptive mother.

Why had she begun to feel so young and childish around her mom? Did Celestia find it weird? All those worrying thoughts caused Sunset to sob slightly into her pillow as she hiccuped and sniffled.

Celestia entered her daughter's room, and heard Sunset's sobbing. Out of her maternal instincts she walked over to the girl and held her in her arms to calm her down. Trying to soothe the bacon-haired teen as she hummed a soft melody and ran her hand through the teen's hair, causing Sunset to blush and cuddle deeper into her mother's arms. Enjoying the feeling of her mother holding her and stroking her hair reassuringly. It made her feel safe and a tad childish.

"What are you doing?" Sunset asked embarrassed as her cheeks flushed a crimson red, the childish feelings of love soaring in her heart.

"I'm calming you down, sweetheart. You were upset and so I calmed you down." Celestia simply replied as she planted a soft kiss on the girl's forehead gently.

Sunset softly yawned as she snuggled into her mother, not wanting to leave her embrace.

"Do you think I'm weird for calling you and Discord mommy and daddy?" Sunset asked fearfully, looking away in shame.

"No of course not honey. I don't think it's weird. You've been alone for such a long time and you've never had a proper loving, caring and supportive family. All of those feelings are new to you, and you want to express them in a way that makes you feel safe and comfortable." Celestia replied, holding the girl tighter in her arms. She loved Sunset deeply, her sweet, precious little sunflower.

"So can I call you that then? I-If you'd be comfortable with that?" Sunset asked hopefully, a childlike joy beginning to fill her.

"If you would like to call me that, then you may. I don't see a problem with it sweetie." Celestia reassured as Sunset gave her a happy and sleepy smile.

"Would you mind reading to me?" Sunset asked nervously, asking her mother for a bedtime story made her feel scared, nervous and excited all in one.

"Would you like that Sunset? For me to read you a bedtime story?" Celestia asked in a soft and gentle motherly voice, bringing more childlike feelings out of Sunset.

"Yes please!" Sunset begged, hugging her mother tightly as she smilled with pure joy.

Celestia carefully pried Sunset off of her and went to find a book that she could read to Sunset to help her sleep.

The alabaster-skinned woman returned to Sunset's room and tucked the bacon-haired teen in cozily and snug, watching as the girl's eyes fluttered in a failing attempt to stay awake.

Celestia opened the book and began to read to the sleepy teen, watching as Sunset fell asleep halfway through the story.

Celestia smiled and kissed Sunset goodnight, closing the book as she left the room, closing the door to allow Sunset a peaceful sleep.

"Sweet dreams. Sleep tight." Celestia cooed to the sleeping girl as she chuckled and headed to her own room to sleep.

Nightmare: Chapter 5.

View Online

Sunset thrashed and whimpered as she tossed and turned in her bed. The nightmare plaguing her mind.

YOU WILL NEVER BE RID OF ME, BECAUSE I AM YOU! The voice, Sunset's inner demon spoke coldly. Cackling madly as Sunset sobbed with fear.

The bacon-haired teen awoke in a cold sweat, hyperventilating as Celestia rushed in and pulled the girl into a gentle protective and loving maternal embrace. The teen sobbing in her arms as the educator and her mother held Sunset softly, cradling her as she rocked the girl lovingly in her arms.

"Shhh, it's ok. I'm here." Celestia soothed, rubbing her daughter's back as she ran her hand through the girl's hair.

"I'm scared." Sunset whimpered, curling deeper into her mother, desiring protection and warmth.

"Of what?" Celestia asked concerned, worried for the teen as she held Sunset gently.

"Of becoming that demon again, What if I hurt you and Dad? Or even Aunt Luna and Aunt Chrysalis? What about everyone at at school?" Sunset sobbed fearfully, attempting to push herself out of her mother's protective embrace but in doing so Celestia held her tighter to her body, allowing the girl to feel her body warmth.

"I'm scared. I'm so scared. I don't want to hurt any of you." Sunset whimpered heartbroken, she was still upset about what happened due to Anon-A-Miss.

Celestia went into though for a solution for her nightmares, thinking of ways to comfort the teen.

"Sunset would you like to sleep with me and Discord tonight? So you'll be protected, safe and warm in our arms." Celestia offered softly, planting a kiss on her daughter's forehead.

"Are you sure?" Sunset asked shyly, her cheeks a deep crimson. She didn't want them to pity her, she wasn't a little kid.

"Of course sweetie. We both love you so much. You're our daughter and we want to keep you safe and cared for." Celestia replied soothingly, letting the girl snuggle into her body even more, enjoying the feelings stirring within her heart.

"O-Ok, if you're comfortable with it." Sunset asked sadly, feeling bad for disrupting Celestia's sleep.

"Of course I am." Celestia answered softly, leading the girl to her and Discord's room. The two climbed into the bed as the girl snuggled up between them. The two parents snuggling her into their bodies for safety and warmth.

"Sleep tight Sunset, sweet dreams." Celestia cooed lovingly, planting a kiss on her daughter's cheek and forehead. Discord doing the same as Sunset's eyelids shut. The exhausted teen fell asleep between her parent's bodies. Safe, warm and comfortable.

"Goodnight sweetheart." Discord whispered softly, the two watching Sunset sleep before joining her.

A small smile began to form on Sunset's lips as she slept, safe, protected and warm between the bodies of her parents. That was enough to help chase away the bad dreams tonight.

Adoption: Chapter 6.

Sunset awoke to finding herself snuggled next to Celestia, she cuddled her head deeper into her mother's body, wanting to be held.

Once she was comfortable in her mother's arms, she smiled and felt herself drift back to sleep. However, she was interrupted by Celestia's hand slowly going through her hair to wake her up.

"Mhmm, morning Mom." She yawned and stretched, moving her limbs and felt the joints crack.

"Good morning, my little sun." Smiling down at her daughter, she pulled her into her arms and ran her hand gently over Sunset's face. She loved her little girl so much.

"Where's Dad?" Looking around for Discord, she noticed he wasn't in the room.

"At work, he went to grab the adoption papers from Chrysalis." Smiling down at the teen, she kissed her forehead and hugged her.

Sunset snuggled deeper into the warm and soft embrace, wanting to be held like that all day.

Both of them changed out of their nightwear and into some clothes.

The two left the room and headed downstairs for breakfast. Sunset decided to make herself a healthy fruit breakfast.

Sunset sat next to Celestia on the couch and rested her head on her mother's shoulder as she ate her breakfast.

Celestia, Discord and Sunset were sitting on the couch, adoption papers in Sunset's hands.

She didn't even need to think twice about it all as she signed the document. She was now their daughter. She had a family now, parents and relatives. Things she had desired since she was a young filly.

The trio had gone out to buy a few gifts for Sunset. She had spent so many years alone and hadn't ever recieved a gift from family. Because she never had one.

That is what made this occasion special.

The new parents bought Sunset some new clothing and footwear, along with a guitar amplifier. They had also gotten her bedwear, covers and pillow cases for her new bed. Celestia had also bought her some stuffed animals, which had Sunset blushing.

After the shopping trip, the family headed home and watched a movie together, Sunset eventually falling asleep in Celestia's arms.

The two couldn't help but smile and watch Sunset sleep for a few minutes, before picking her up and carrying her up the stairs to put her to bed.

Celestia gently carried Sunset over to her bed and tucked her in snuggly, making sure the girl was warm and cozy in her bed.

The pastel-haired woman bent down and placed a loving kiss on the girl's forehead.

"Sleep tight, my little sun."

The two new parents left the room to give their daughter a peaceful sleep.
