> The Royal Family > by Melody Brush > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter I: The invite > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The doors to the royal bed chambers opened to the glow of Princess Twilight Sparkle's magic as she stepped in with a smile on her face. "Good night, good sirs," she offered to the guards standing there. "Good night, your highness," they each said without shifting. Twilight smiled at them before closing the doors behind her. With the doors now closed and no one there to see her, the smile on her face instantly faded as she used her magic to remove the crown from her head. Twilight walked over and placed the crown on a mannequin head resting on a makeup table next to the wall. With the weight of Equestria off her head for the day, she turned her magic to the necklace and horseshoes on her neck and hooves. As the necklace levitated off her neck, she stepped one hoof after the other out of the horseshoes and used her magic to place them all neatly in a chest next to the mannequin. Now that Twilight's body was naked and free, she walked straight to the window and pulled herself onto the cushioned window seat. As she lay on the cushion at the window, she gazed out over her ever-growing country. Canterlot castle stood tall and proud at the heart of the capital. The nightlife of Twilight's subjects kept the city of Canterlot outside the castle walls alive. Down the mountainside in the distance, Twilight could see the town of Ponyville, her old home. The town had grown quite large since she last lived there before her coronation day. Her School of Friendship can be thanked for Ponyville's growing popularity and drawing in such attention to the place she held many fond memories for. Twilight's thoughts turned back to the old days of when she lived in Ponyville. The friends she made while living there, AppleJack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and of course, Starlight Glimmer, her first friendship student, had all lived out their lives. While they may be gone, their memory has never been forgotten. Sweet Apple Acres still grew the best apples in all of Equestria. The business for Sugar-Cube Corner was still as strong as ever, both of which are still family-owned. Rainbow Dash was highlighted in the hall of the Wonderbults, not only for her amazing skills as a flyer, being the only pegasus at the time ever to perform a Sonic Rainboom but also as one of the six mares who saved Equestria multiple times and helped form the School of Friendship, which had grown quite immensely over the years. Rarity's boutique was handed down from mentor to student ever since Yona yak took it over and has since become Equestrias number one fashion provider. Twilight stared out the window for a minute staring at the town before a tear began to run down her cheek. "I miss you girls," she whispered to herself as she turned her eyes to the stars. Having already replaced the sun with the moon, the sky was filled with all the constellations she had spent so long studying. Usually, the lavender alicorn found some level of comfort in staring at the stars while naming every one of them but, tonight offered no such comfort. Soon, Twilight could no longer hold herself back. She broke out into tears and softly cried to herself as she pulled a pillow up to cling it against her chest while she buried her muzzle into it. Twilight longed for the days when she did not feel so alone. Sure, she still kept in touch with Celestia, Luna, Cadence, and Flurry but, having penpals could only carry so much weight. She knew she would never see her friends again; she made her peace with that a long time ago. The clock tower bell sound pulled Twilight from her breakdown, and she lifted her muzzle from the pillow to look out the window. She saw the hour and wiped the tears from her face as she used her magic to put the pillow back in its place neatly while pulling herself off the window cushion. She stopped short when she saw the massive ben at the heart of the room. This bed could fit ten ponies at once. However, she would be the only one who will ever use it. "Oh, Celestia," she sighed to herself, "how did you do it for a thousand years?" The tears began to fall down her cheeks again as she stared at the bed. After standing there crying for a few minutes, she finally walked up and pulled herself into the bed. Once she pulled the sheets over her body with her magic, she looked over the edge. "Goodnight, Spi-" she froze in place when she remembered the dragon she raised since he was a baby, no longer slept in a basket next to her bed. Even if Spike was still in the castle, he would be far too grown for that basket he used as a bed. Apart from the alicorns, Spike was the only other friend she had who still lived. Since dragons live for hundreds of years, Spike remained Twighlight's faithful assistant and right-hand dragon for decades after her coronation. However, Spike found a mate, and Twilight not only oversaw his marriage to the dragoness but released him as her assistant so he could spend his life with his new family. Tonight just was not Twilight's night. Come to think of it, the whole day just was not one of her best. In the afternoon, Twilight hosted a wedding for one of her royal guard members, an event that reminded her of her brother's wedding to Cadence so many years ago, as well as a reminder of how she would never be able to marry herself. With Twilight being immortal now, she would outlive any pony who asked her hoof in marriage or if she were to ask another to marry her. Either way, it would end the same way as her relationship with her friends as well as Cadence and Shining Armor. Twilight rests her head on the pillow as she pulled the covers over her body. There she lay for an unknown length of time before she finally cried herself to sleep. The following morning, Twilight woke up just in time to hear a knock on the door. She stretched with a yawn as she sat up in place. "Come in!" she answered. The doors opened to find a white unicorn with a golden mane and tail walk in. The unicorn levitated a breakfast tray in her green magic aura as she wore a smile on her face. "Good morning, your highness," she said happily. Twilight smiled at her as she sat on the bed. "Good morning, Golden Glow," Twilight replied. "Your breakfast is ready," Golden said as she levitated the tray over Twilight's lap on the bed. "Freshly baked strawberry and blueberry pancakes with orange juice. Just the way you like it." Twilight smiled at the meal placed before her. "This is wonderful, Golden but, isn't this a bit much?" Twilight asked as she noticed how there were enough food and silverware here for two. "Well, you do have a visitor, your highness," Golden answered with a smile. Twilight looked at the unicorn with curiosity. "Who might that be, Golden?" Twilight asked. Golden looked back at the door to reveal a pink alicorn with a technicolored mane and tail flowing behind her and a smile beaming from her face. "Good morning, Twilight," Cadence said warmly. "Cadence!" Twilight beamed at her. Cadence walked up to the bed as Golden walked out of the room, closing the door behind her. Twilight watched Cadence with a beaming smile that rivaled the sun before she pulled her sister-in-law in for a hug with her magic. "It's so good to see you!" Twilight stated proudly. "It's good to see you too, Twilight!" Cadence replied as she wrapped her forehooves around the high princess. The two held each other for a minute before finally releasing the hug and smiled at each other. Normally, the two would break into their Sunshine dance, but they settled with a warm hug since Twilight had a breakfast tray over her lap in bed. "It was your idea to make this breakfast, wasn't it?" Twilight asked with a knowing smile. "I thought you could use the company," Cadence replied as she made herself cozy next to Twilight. "You hit the alicorn on the horn there," Twilight giggled. "How's my favorite niece?" she asked as she used her magic to levitate a fork to Cadence. "She's doing fabulous," Cadence answered as she took the fork in her own magic. "She's ruling the empire like she's done it for thousands of years." Twilight smiled at the thought of her little niece all grown up. It seems like only yesterday Flurry almost destroyed the empire when she shattered the Crystal Heart. "Twilight, don't you think you should raise the sun?" Cadence asked, pulling Twilight from her trance. "Oh," Twilight blushed before she looked toward the window with her horn glowing brightly. A few seconds later, the light of the day replaced the starlit night. "How embarrassing," Twilight observed. "Is everything alright, Twilight?" Cadence asked. "You never miss a schedule." Twilight's smile faded at the question. "To be honest, Cadence," Twilight sighed, "I'm not alright." Cadence watched Twilight intently as she rested a hoof on her back. "I've been thinking about..." Twilight paused, unable to finish her sentence. "You've been thinking about our family?" Cadence asked. Twilight only nodded in reply. Cadence pulled the lavender alicorn into another hug. Twilight leaned into Cadence's warm touch as tears began to slide down her cheek. "I miss them too," Cadence assured. "Not only that," Twilight said with a sniff as she pulled out of the hug. Cadence wiped the tear from Twilight's cheek. "I've been thinking about..." Twilight took a breath. "What?" Cadence asked. Twilight looked Cadence in the eyes. "How do you think Celestia lived for so long without someone in her life?" Twilight asked directly. Cadence immediately understood Twilight's pain. "I honestly have no idea, Twilight," Cadence answered with a frown, an answer that made Twilight sigh. "Maybe you can ask her yourself." Twilight looked at Cadence. "Are they here too?" Twilight asked with a spark of hope in her eye. "No," Cadence answered. "But, I have this letter from her." Cadence levitated a rolled-up scroll in her magic for Twilight, who took the scroll into her own magic and opened it up to see what was written inside. "My dearest Cadence and Twilight, My sister Luna and I have been thinking a lot lately about how we wish to spend the rest of our immortal lives together. We know we cannot find husbands without eventually losing them to time, so we have chosen to take our relationship to an unorthodox level and get married." Twilight blinked and reread that paragraph closely before looking at Cadence in shock. Cadence only smiled and gestured for her to continue reading. "We would like to keep our wedding secluded and not involve all of Equestria to come and witness our union as wives to each other. With that being said, Twilight, we would greatly appreciate it if you hosted our wedding with only Cadence and Flurry as witnesses. We understand this is a difficult task, with all of you having important roles to play within Canterlot and the Crystal Empire. However, we have faith in your abilities to make time for this most wonderful occasion. We look forward to hearing back from you both. Forever yours, Celestia and Luna." Twilight read over the letter a few times to make sure she was not misreading anything before turning to Cadence for confirmation. "Celestia and Luna marrying each other?!" Twilight's shock was so great she could not contain her voice. Cadence, however, suspected Twilight would forget herself and break under the news, so she sealed the room in a soundproof bubble before Twilight could utter a word. Twilight realized her error and pulled the blankets to her muzzle with a blush. "It's okay, Twilight," Cadence assured as she gesture to the bubble around them. Twilight sighed in relief as she let the blankets down. "How can they get married?" Twilight asked. "They're sisters." "I know it's something most frown upon but, what other choice do they have, Twilight?" Cadence asked. Twilight understood Cadence's reasoning immediately. "I suppose you're right," Twilight observed. "Well, I'll need to make arrangements for my departure." Twilight began to levitate the tray over to the side, only for Cadence's magic to stop her, getting Twilight to look over at her. "There's plenty of time to finish breakfast, Twilight," Cadence giggled. "But, I was late rising the sun," Twilight countered as she looked out the window. "I've made sure we have time to catch up, Twilight," Cadence countered. "You can relax." Twilight smiled as she moved the tray back over her lap. Cadence may not be the high ruler of the Crystal Empire now that Flurry has been coronated but, she still knows how to make things happen. "You're the best, Cadence," Twilight observed. Cadenced leaned over and planted a kiss on the high princess's cheek. "You're worth it, Twilight," Cadenced hummed. Twilight smiled, and they both resumed eating the pancakes on the tray. While eating and catching up on everything going on in their lives since they last saw each other, which was not much for alicorns, Cadence could not help but find herself staring at Twilight with a loving smile. She had cared for this mare ever since she was a foal so many years ago. In a way, Cadence helped raised Twilight until she was found by aunt Celestia and taken in as her student. As Cadence watched Twilight enjoy her breakfast, she found herself smiling at the high princess but not like any smile she shared for her before. Cadence was smiling at Twilight much in the same way she smiled at her late husband when he was doing almost anything, from playing with their daughter to training the crystal ponies in the courtyard. Cadenced loved Twilight almost as much as she loved her older brother; she made no secret of that. Cadence also knew that Twilight loved her. "Not yet," Cadence told herself. "Everything has to be perfect." Twilight finished her share of the pancakes, and Cadence helped move the tray from her lap as they both slip out of the massive bed Twilight used every night by herself. "I suppose I better get dressed." Twilight walked over to the makeup table, where her crown and royal garb rested as Cadence followed after her. "I'd be more than happy to help you," Cadence offered, earning a welcoming smile from the high princess. "I would be more than happy to accept," Twilight replied regally. The two alicorns giggled before Twilight sat down in front of the mirror as Cadence used her magic to pick up a brush and start brushing Twilight's long flowing hair. As Cadenced tended to Twilight's long flowing mane, Twilight pampered herself with a few techniques she remembered from Rarity. Nothing too fancy yet, something befitting of her regality. "You look beautiful, Twilight," Cadenced commented with a smile as she looked at her sister-in-law through the mirror, earning a blush from the lavender alicorn. "I still know a few tricks Rarity showed me," Twilight replied as she put the makeup set away. "Even without the makeup," Cadence began as she put the brush down, "you're still quite beautiful." Twilight looked at Cadence through the mirror, who only offered her a caring smile. They stared at each other for a minute before Twilight broke the silence. "I better get dressed," Twilight said through a blush as she turned to the rich jewelry that made marked her royal status. Twilight knew Cadence her whole life. Cadence was her foal-sitter, after all. She loved the mare who cared for her when neither her parents nor her brother could. She was proud to consider Cadence her big sister when she married Shining Armor. Since his unfortunate passing, Twilight and Cadence were there for each other. They both lost someone they loved, and their relationship only grew stronger ever since. Cadence was also there for Twilight as she lost her friends one by one. Even though she lost her friends to time, Twilight never gave up. She continued training generation after generation of gifted unicorns and offered guidance for the School of Friendship alongside her friends' children and grandchildren. Even though the pain of time weighed down on Twilight, she never faltered in her duties as the high princess. She never let that friendly, caring smile fade as she ruled unless the situation required a more harsh approach. Twilight turned to her necklace and horseshoes, and before she could reach out with her magic, the items were already levitating from their resting place by Cadence's magic. Cadence offered Twilight a smile as she levitated the necklace toward Twilight's neck. Twilight lifted her chin to allow better access for the accessory with a smile as Cadence snapped it in place from behind. Cadence then used her magic to move the horseshoes toward Twilight's hooves and slipped them on one by one. Right foreleg, left foreleg, right hindleg, left hindleg. The only thing left was the crown. Twilight stared at the crown forged from both Celestia and Luna's crowns on the day of Twilight's coronation so many years ago. Twilight was more than capable of leading the country after the sisters' retirement but, Celestia never abandoned Twilight in her hour of need. Celestia was proud to offer Twilight any advice she ever needed. A part of Twilight felt guilty using this crown, but she was very proud to have it dawn her head as she ruled Equestria. This crown was as much a symbol of her status as it was a symbol of the sisters' trust in the lavender alicorn with such a task. "Everything alright, Twilight?" Cadence asked, pulling Twilight from her trance. "I'm fine," Twilight said with a sigh. "I just can't help thinking-" "I know," Cadence offered as she rested a hoof on Twilight's shoulder. Twilight looked over her shoulder at Cadence, who offered her a caring smile that said, "I'm here for you, no matter what," which put a thankful smile on Twilight's muzzle. They stared into each other's eyes for a long minute with loving smiles on their faces. Twilight reached over to take Cadence's hoof in her own as both started leaning towards each other. "Your highness," a voice along with a knock on the door caught their attention. The princesses found they were so close together their lips were almost touching before Twilight pulled away with a blush while Cadence shook her head. "It's almost time for your appearance at the school." "I'm on my way," Twilight answered. Before she could go for her crown, Cadence already held it in her magic with a smile on her face. "I'm sorry, Cadence," Twilight muttered. "What for?" Cadence asked as she looked at Twilight. "What we were about to do," Twilight blushed. Cadence only smiled as she levitated the crown onto Twilight's head. "Twilight, there is nothing you could do to make me think any less of you," Cadence assured with a smile. If she were to be truly honest, she wanted their lips to meet. Nothing would please her more at this moment to share something more than a sisterly love for the mare she knew since she was born. "But-" Twilight began. "Twilight, how long have we known each other?" Cadence countered as she made sure the crown was straight. "It's been one hundred and fifty years," Twilight stated matter-of-factly. "One hundred and fifty-one next month." Cadence could not help but giggle at Twilight's direct and specific answer. "And in all that time, has there ever once been any regrets between us?" Cadence further queried. "Well, there was that one time," Twilight began only to stop herself short. "No, we found something to laugh about that." Twilight scratched her chin. "What about that time when," she stopped short again. "No, that turned out good too." Cadence giggled at Twilight before she leaned in and planted a kiss on her cheek. "Every challenge that has come between us, we've faced together," Cadence assured. Twilight smiled at Cadence. "You're right," Twilight observed as she stood up from her seat. "Well, I have a class to get to, and I know they would just love to see the Princess of Love." Twilight smiled. "I cleared my schedule to be with you today, Twilight," Cadence giggled. "I'd be happy to join you." With that, the two alicorns left Twilight's private chambers to begin the day together. Starting with the School for Gifted Unicorns. > Chapter II: The Visit > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Well, everything is set," Twilight observed as she signed a scroll levitating in her magic before turning to Cadence. "Sunshine Glimmer will steward over Equestria in my absence, and we have more than enough time for everything." "Still the master organizer as ever," Cadence giggled. "You know me," Twilight blushed. "Ever since I could read, I've been organizing everything from books to bedsheets." Cadence smiled at the grown mare Twilight had become as she remembered when Twilight was half the size she is now. Tall. Slim yet, curved. Regal and beautiful. Cadence has grown over the years as well. In fact, all the alicorns have grown into similar stature as Celestia, but each offered their own unique charm. If you were to judge the princesses on their silhouettes alone, you would never tell them apart but, with their flowing manes and tails, coat colors, and of course, their cutie marks, all five of the alicorns offered something unique and beautiful in their own right. "Well, are we ready to go?" Cadence asked with a smile as she walked up to Twilight. "Normally, I would panic about last-minute details I might've overlooked," Twilight began as she smiled. "But, now you never miss a beat," Cadence finished, earning a proud yet humble smile from the lavender alicorn. "Is there anything you need to pack before the trip?" "No," Twilight answered. "I've got all I need." They smiled at each other. "Then let's get going," Cadence said. With that, the two alicorns grabbed a couple of bags with their magic and left Twilight's private chambers. "Your highness," one of the guards said as he stood at the ready. "We stand ready to guide you on your journey!" "That won't be necessary, good sirs," Twilight replied with a smile. "But, your highness," the guard began to protest. "It is the duty of the royal guard to-" "Silver Shield," Twilight interjected. "I'm well aware of your responsibilities and am truly grateful for your dedication." Silver opened his mouth to protest before a familiar draconaquus appeared beside him, making the guard jump in shock. "No need to worry, my dear friend!" Discord said with a smile as he draped his eagle claw over the guard's back. "Our beloved princesses have been through thick and thin just fine without the aid of the royal guard!" Discord pulled away as he wiped away a tear. "Makes me so proud!" Twilight shook her head with a smile on her face. "Shall I dispose of this pest, your highness?" Silver queried with a glare. "Stand down, Silver," Cadence ordered with a smile of her own. The guard stood at ease. "Discord will be accompanying us on our journey," Twilight explained. Discord offered a respectful yet dramatic bow. "At your service, m'lady!" he proclaimed proudly. Twilight giggled. Over the years, she grew to appreciate the draconaquus's antics. Even after Fluttershy reformed Discord, Twilight never trusted Discord. He never gave up his chaotic nature and, which led to several instances she felt he betrayed her and her friends. It was not until after all of Equestria was threatened by the combined forces of Queen Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cosey Glow that Discord proved his loyalty to not only Equestria but to Twilight as the high princess. "Ready to go, Discord?" Cadence asked. "Oh, I've been ready from the moment Celestia sent the letter!" Discord proclaimed in excitement. Twilight smiled at Discord. She knew Fluttershy was his closest friend up until the day of her passing. He must have taken it hard, though he never showed his pain. If ever there was a time he would open up about it, she would be there for him. He proved he would be there for her in her hour of need, so it only seemed fair she would return the favor. "Then, let's get going," Twilight said happily. Discord suddenly appeared between Twilight and Cadence. "Allow me!" He grabbed them by the torsos. "Discord, wait!" Cadence cried out, but it was too late. In a flash of light, all three found themselves in a grassy field. "Discord, we needed to go pick up Flurry first!" Cadence explained. "My dear Cadence," Discord began with a smiled on his face and a lion paw on his chest, "where do you think I brought us?" Cadence looked around to find they were outside the Crystal Empire. She narrowed her eyes before she looked at him. "You couldn't have teleported us inside the castle?" Cadence asked in annoyance. "And miss out on an opportunity to have fun with you?" Discord asked as he pinched her chin. Twilight only giggled as she took a step forward. "You know Discord loves to have his fun, Cadence," Twilight observed. Soon, Cadence broke a smile. "Alright," Cadence relented. "But, can you teleport us inside? I'd hate to get the crystal ponies worked up at the sight of a draconaquus." Discord hung his head so much; it fell off his neck onto the ground. "I agree with Cadence, Discord," Twilight added. "Everyone's used to you being at Canterlot, not the Crystal Empire. It might cause a panic." "But, I'm with the two most powerful figures in all of Equestria," Discord protested as he picked his head up and held it under an arm like a basketball. "If I'm with the high princess and her closest friend, it won't cause too much of a problem." "Discord, I know you're the spirit of disharmony," Twilight began, "but we're not here for you to have fun. We're only here to pick up my niece, then head straight for Silver Shoals." Discord snorted before he put his head back on his neck like a helmet, then snapped his eagle claws. All three appeared in the court hall. "Oh, fine," Discord sighed as he folded his arms. "Spoilsports." "Aunt Twilight!" a young female voice screamed with joy. Twilight and Cadence looked up to find a full-grown Flurry Heart flying straight for them. Twilight smiled at the younger alicorn as she braced for the tackle. The force from Flurry's charge sent them flying onto the ground in a fit of giggles. "Oh, aunt Twilight, I've missed you!" Flurry cried out with joy as she hugged the lavender alicorn tightly. Cadence chuckled as she walked over to the couple on the floor. Even Discord cracked a smile at the youngest alicorn's enthusiasm. "I've missed you too, Flurry," Twilight replied as she returned the hug. "Okay, young lady," Cadence said through her giggles. Flurry had grown to be quite the beautiful mare, always acting composed and regal to show her status as the Crystal Princess. However, she always became a child again whenever she saw her aunt. "You know you're going to see your aunt all week, so let her up." Flurry looked at her mother with a pout. "Aw, but it's been forever since I last saw her!" Flurry cried. "You just saw her last week," Cadence chuckled. Twilight enjoyed the interaction. Given her position as the princess of Equestria, she cherished these moments. However, as with everything else, the moment had to come to an end, and Flurry picked herself off Twilight. "It's still wonderful to see you, aunt Twilight!" Flurry smiled at Twilight as she pulled herself off the ground. Twilight loved Flurries tackle hugs, but she would never do such a thing to Celestia. Discord appeared between the three. "What? No hug for your uncle Discord?" he asked with a smile as he opened his mixed forelimbs. Flurry chuckled as she wrapped her forelegs around his long, brown body. "It's great to see you too, Dissy," Flurry offered. "Oh, what a wonderfully chaotic nickname!" Discord purred as he hugged the youngest alicorn. Twilight and Cadence smiled at the two as they embraced for a minute before Cadence stepped up. "Are you all set to go?" Cadence asked. "Yes," Flurry answered proudly. "My steward is ready to lead, and all my subjects have been notified about my absence." Cadence smiled proudly. "That's my girl!" "So, can we go now?!" Flurry asked as she bounced like a little filly. Twilight beamed at Flurry. She grew up to be an excellent ruler, but she was never afraid to act like a child whenever she got the chance. Seeing family and friends always brought out her inner child unless they were in the presence of others. "Then, let's get going!" Discord stated as he held his eagle claw. "Don't you think we should-" Twilight began to protest. Snap. A flash of light and the four found themselves outside a town but the seaside, far enough out of sight so that no creature took notice of their arrival. Off in the distance stood a single house on a hill. The house was close enough for regular trips to the main town but far enough away so the residents would not be bothered. "... let them know we're coming?" Twilight finished her sentence before she realized they were already there. She hung her head with a sigh. "Why do I bother?" "Now, cheer up, Twilight!" Discord said as he appeared around her neck. "It's not often we all get to see our old friends, Celestia and Luna, at the same time!" Twilight could not help but smile at his observation. He was right. Twilight made efforts to see her former mentor as often as she could, and so did Cadence, Flurry, and Discord on their own times, but the opportunity rarely occurred for all four of them to visit the sisters at once. However, this was an extremely rare occasion. Before anyone could say anything else, Twilight, Cadence, and Discord looked up to find Flurry flying toward the cottage at top speed. "Auntie Celestia! Auntie Luna!" Flurry called out. Cadence and Twilight flew after her. "Flurry, keep quiet!" Cadence called out. "Not to worry, Princess," Discord proclaimed from atop her head. "Thanks to my magic, no one can see or hear us." This did nothing to ease Cadence's worries. The three got to the cottage to find the front door already opened, and they could hear laughter coming from inside. Twilight walked into the cottage with a smile on her face as Cadence followed with a miniature Discord on her head. They found Celestia laying on her back with Flurry on top of her in a tight hug, both laughing joyfully as Luna joined into the pile. "Now, isn't that a beautiful sight!" Discord proclaimed as he vanished from Cadence's head and reappeared around the trio, pulling them all into a snake-hug. "Hello to you too, Discord!" Celestia chimed. Twilight walked up with a beam on her face. "Celestia!" Twilight called, getting the eldest alicorn's attention. "Princess Twilight!" Celestia said with a smile. Discord let the three go as Flurry hopped off Celestia as both the alabaster alicorn walked over to give her former student a warm hug. Luna walked up behind her older sister with a smile her own smile. "How many times must I ask you to call me Twilight?" Twilight asked. Celestia giggled. "Just for old times sake, my dear," Celestia countered as she smiled at Twilight. Twilight turned to the navy-blue alicorn, politely waiting for her turn. "It's wonderful to see you too, Luna," Twilight proclaimed as she pulled Luna into a hug. "My dear friend, Twilight," Luna beamed. "It's always a pleasure to see you." After their hug, they smiled at each other. As Luna and Twilight offered each other greetings, Celestia turned to Cadence and gave her a warm hug before Luna followed. "Looks like everyone's here," Celestia observed. "Would any of you care for some tea?" "I would like that very much," Twilight smiled. "Yes, please," Cadence agreed. "I want some!" Flurry cheered. "I'm not in the mood for tea, so naturally, I'd be glad to accept," Discord smiled. The four alicorns giggled at Discord's chaotic nature before Celestia and Luna guided them to the lounge. "Make yourselves at home," Luna said as she offered them all a seat while Celestia continued into the kitchen beyond. Twilight, Cadence, and Flurry found a seat while Luna planted herself on the loveseat across from them. Discord, however, sat upsidedown on the ceiling. "We can't tell you how happy we are to have you here for this," Luna stated with a smile on her face. "And so quickly, too." "Was there any doubt?" Cadence offered. "Twilight is a master of organization, so something like this was a walk in the park for her." Twilight blushed at the compliment. "And what about you?" Luna asked Cadence. "Flurry's the one who makes the calls at the empire now," Cadence answered as she smiled at her daughter. "And I learned from the best princesses in all of Equestria!" Flurry declared cheerfully. Luna giggled at the youngest alicorn's enthusiasm. "So," Twilight piped up. "What made you two decide to do this?" "Luna and I have been close since the day she was born," Celestia answered as she walked in with a tray levitating in her golden magic. "Not the whole time, Tia," Luna countered with a look of shame on her muzzle. "There have been rough patches," Celestia replied as she set the tray on the table between the seats and offered a glass to all their guests. "However, we still stayed true to each other," Celestia added with a smile as she sat next to her sister. "Every relationship has rough patches, and ours is no exception." Luna beamed as Celestia planted a kiss on her cheek. Twilight smiled at the two. Ever since she and her friends rescued Luna from her curse, she knew Celestia and Luna were close. Their relationship only grew stronger since that day. Little did Twilight know the two got into several arguments over the years. Most of the time, they just bickered over simple things, but no matter how bad it got, they always came back to each other with the same love and devotion they always had for each other. Celestia turned to Cadence and opened her mouth to say something, only to bite her lip when Cadence shook her head. Celestia giggled and offered Cadence a reassuring smile. Twilight glanced between the two. "What's going on with you two?" she asked herself. "Oh, Celestia," Discord chimed in from the ceiling. "You simply must tell us about the proposal!" "Yes!" Flurry cheered. "Tell us, auntie!" Luna blushed while Celestia giggled. "Yes," Twilight added with a smile as she broke from her thoughts. "I'm curious myself as to how it all played out. I bet you proposed to Luna, didn't you, Celestia." Twilight beamed at her former mentor. "Actually, Luna proposed to me," Celestia explained with a smile. Twilight blinked while Cadence smiled, and Discord spat tea out of his nose. > Chapter III: The Night > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Celestia and Luna sat in the lounge chairs outside their cottage as they watched the sun setting over the horizon as the moon began to rise. The sisters admired the change in the sky proudly. "Our dear Twilight has come a long way over the years," Celestia mused. "She sure has, big sister," Luna agreed as she reached over to take Celestia's hoof into her own. The alabaster alicorn looked at her sister, who only offered a loving smile. Celestia smiled at her younger sister as she held her hoof. "You've come a long way too," Celestia complimented, earning a blush from the younger alicorn. They both looked at the skies as a navy-blue blanket replaced the warm orange glow of the setting sun. Soon after the sun had set for the day and the full moon took its place, bright stars began to paint the sky, putting a large smile on the former night Princess's face. "Is it wrong that I feel a sense of pride to my-" Luna stopped herself. "... her night sky?" Celestia chuckled. Luna looked at her older sister. "I've been proud of her since the day I took her as my student," Celestia observed. "She excelled in her studies. She made wonderful friends. She saved Equestria several times." Celestia looked at Luna with a smile of pure love and happiness as a single tear fell down her cheek. "She returned you to me." Celestia tightened her hold over Luna's hoof. Luna smiled at her older sister with tears of her own running down her cheek. After a few minutes of holding each other's hooves, Celestia pulled Luna's hoof up to her lips and planted a sweet kiss, earning a blush from her younger sister. "Hey, Tia?" Luna asked. "Yes, Lulu," Celestia smiled. "Remember that first night?" Luna asked with purple cheeks. "When Twilight and her friends saved me?" Celestia hummed as she watched her younger sister. "That night in your chambers?" Celestia blinked as she watched her sister for a second before her cheeks turned red. "I remember one of the best nights I had in over a thousand years," Celestia answered. The night of Luna's return so long ago, Celestia sat by the fire in her private chambers. Her crown and jewelry neatly put away as she wrote on a scroll with the biggest smile on her face in many years. Her thoughts were interrupted by her little sister, who came into her room. That night, they share Celestia's bed with a sound bubble surrounding them. Their bodies locked against each other as they soaked in their sweat. "Do you ever regret that night?" Luna asked as she looked Celestia in the eye. Celestia's blush faded instantly as she looked at the stars. "What we did that night was," Celestia paused. "I knew others would disapprove of it." Luna frowned. "But I didn't care." Luna looked at Celestia, who kept her eyes on the stars. "I mean, I tried convincing myself that it was nothing more than showing love for my little sister." Celestia looked at Luna, who showed fear in her eyes as she listened. Celestia leaned closer and rested her free hoof on her sister's cheek. "I thought I had to justify myself for what many would consider a crime. But, then I realized," Luna's heart skipped a bit. "Why should I care what the world thinks?" Luna teared up at this. "So, you?" Luna began, only to be interrupted by a surprise kiss planted on her older sister. After a minute, Celestia broke the kiss and looked Luna in the eye. "I tried telling myself it was wrong, but I didn't care," Celestia explained. "I tried justifying myself by saying it was to help you." Celestia got out of her chair and pulled Luna off hers with her magic. "I was just so happy to have you back; I didn't care what anyone else thought or said." Celestia carried Luna inside their house. "I decided that whatever we did, didn't matter." Luna could only watch her older sister as she was carried through the cottage into their bedroom. "What we did that night," Celestia said as she planted Luna on the bed. "I would gladly do it again." Luna watched her older sister as she climbed in bed over her. Luna offered no resistance as Celestia leaned right in and locked lips with her. Luna only moaned softly as she leaned into the incestuous kiss while wrapping her forelegs around Celestia's back. Celestia felt Luna's full-grown body with her forehooves as she pressed her tongue into Luna's lips. Luna opened her mouth to allow her older sister to intrude, and they curled their tongues around each other. Celestia eventually broke the kiss and moved to Luna's neck, nibling against her fur as she fondled her little sister's rump. She relished how Luna's buttcheeks filled her hooves. "Oh, Tia!" Luna moaned by her older sister's ear as she clung to Celestia desperately. After a minute of groping Luna's rump while giving her a hickey, Celestia let go of her younger sister's neck and slowly moved down her form, planting kisses on her body while pulling her hindlegs up. Luna watched with bated breath. "Tia?" Luna shivered. "Shh," Celestia whispered as she licked one of luna's belly teats. Luna shivered at the sudden stimulation with a soft moan. Celestia moved further down, getting Luna to bite her lip as she watched in anticipation. Celestia's eyes found their target, and she stared at Luna's winking lips between her legs with a smile. "It's been a while since I last got to play with this sweet cherry!" Celestia sighed before leaning down and exhaling on Luna's winking vagina. Luna let out a loud moan as she clung to the sheets on their bed. "Tia!" Luna shivered. Celestia smirked as she breathed on her sister's marehood while groping her asscheeks. "Tia!" Luna begged. "Please stop teasing me!" Celestia tore her eyes from Luna's sweet flower to look up at her sister, who had a look of desperation on her muzzle. "Please me! Like you did that night!" Celestia smiled before she leaned in and wrapped her lips around Luna's winking puff and began to suckle while slipping her tongue inside her walls, getting Luna to arch and moan out. "Yes, little sister!" Celestia hummed to herself as she watched Luna's reaction to her efforts. "Let me hear your moans as I please you!" Celestia twirled her tongue inside Luna's walls as she groped her ass in her hooves. Luna could only moan out as her inner walls began to soak with her love juices, stimulating Celestia's tastebuds as she ate her out. Celestia relished in the taste of her sister's marehood as her own vagina began winking and dripping in arousal. She felt every corner of her sister's curves as she swirled her tongue inside Luna's wet walls. Celestia smirked over her sister's lips as her horn began to glow in the golden aura of her magic. Luna's moans intensified as she suddenly felt something prodding at her ass. "Tia!" Celestia's magic formed a stallion's cock pressing against Luna's second hole. "Yes, sister!" Celestia thought to herself as she watched her sister while eagerly eating her flower. "I'll play with all of you before the main event!" Luna gripped the sheets under her as she moaned out to the magic rod pushing inside her ass. After the magic cock based out, it began moving in and out, adding to Luna's bliss. "Tia!" Luna moaned. "I'm gonna-!" Luna arched as she screamed out in ecstasy. Celestia made no effort to pull away as her mouth filled with Luna's ejaculation. Celestia hummed deeply as she swallowed everything that entered her mouth. "Just as sweet as the night you returned to me!" Celestia beamed as she drank Luna's juices. Luna collapsed on the bed as she gasped for air, shaking from the extra stimulation as Celestia gently suckled the rest out of her flower. After a minute, Celestia let her magic die from inside Luna's ass as she removed her mouth from Luna's marehood, but she did not move away. Instead, Celestia moved lower and began suckling on Luna's ass, earning more shakes and moans from her little sister. "Tia!" Luna said shakily. "That's my-" Before Luna could finish her sentence, her mouth was sealed shut by Celestia's golden magic. Celestia continued to eat at Luna's ass as she moaned softly. "Let me have this, dear Luna," Celestia said to herself as she enjoyed the dirty hole for a minute. Finally, Celestia pulled away and moved over Luna with a smile. "Ready for the best part, dear sister?" Luna looked at her sister as she panted. Celestia only smirked as she hovered over Luna. The younger alicorn looked down to find something that made her cheeks as red as an apple. Standing proudly between Celestia's legs was a full set of stallion pride, pulsating at the arousal. Luna stared at the cock hungrily as she started to drool. "Let me have it first!" Luna muttered. Celestia smiled as she moved her hips closer to Luna's muzzle. Luna never took her eyes on her sister's cock until it was within reach, and she dived right for it. Luna took Celestia's whole length into her maw and made no hesitation in suckling and bobbing her head. Celestia let out a moan of bliss as her little sister eagerly began giving her a blowjob. "Oh, sister!" Celestia moaned. "You really want this!" Celestia watched her sister bobbing her head, taking every inch in without hesitation or difficulty while she clung to Celestia's asscheeks. Celestia instinctively began bucking her hips as she moaned to the bliss. Luna swallowed whatever pre leaked onto her tongue. Celestia arched suddenly as she felt something penetrate her ass. "Luna!" Celestia moaned as she knew what her sister was doing without looking. Luna was using her magic to create a cock, which began fucking her older sister's ass. Celestia stood over her sister as she stared at the ceiling while she enjoyed the bliss of getting not only a blowjob but anal penetration at once. "Luna, you're gonna make me cum!" Celestia cried out, which only encouraged her little sister to double her efforts. Celestia cried out as she gave her hips one good thrust. Luna did not let go as her older sister's ejaculation filled her mouth. She swallowed everything eagerly as the cock filled every corner. After riding her ejaculation out, Celestia collapsed to her side next to Luna on the bed. Luna proceeded to straddle Celestia and grind her hips against her older sister's cum, and saliva-coated cock. Celestia looked up at her sister with a smile as she rubbed her thighs with her forehooves. "Go ahead!" Celestia beamed. "Ride your big sister until you're full!" Luna grinned as she lifted her hips, using her magic to guide Celestia's still hard cock to her winking lips. "Give me the magic of your love!" Luna said as she lowered her hips. Her moans escaped her lips as Celestia's cock penetrated her sensitive flower. Luna shivered and moaned as she lowered herself onto her sister, taking every inch of the cock until their hips met. "I want you to be the mother of my child!" Luna shuttered. Celestia blinked and looked at her sister. She opened her mouth to say something before Luna began rutting her hips, causing the stimulation to increase. They both moaned as Luna rode her sister's cock. "Fuck, Luna!" Celestia groaned as she groped her little sister's asscheeks. Celestia began rutting her hips in sync with Luna as they shared this moment. They avoided such activities after the first night, but they relished these moments more regularly once they retired. "Luna!" Celestia moaned. "Don't hold back!" Lune cried out. "I want it all! I want it now!" Luna increased her efforts, begging for Celestia's seed. Celestia watched her little sister in pure bliss as she felt her body reaching another climax. Celestia grabbed Luna's hips and pulled them against herself as she gave one last thrust. Luna arched and cried out as she felt Celestia's hot seed begin to fill her womb. Luna sat there shaking as she took it all in while Celestia groaned as her balls unloaded into her little sister. "Oh, Luna!" Celestia shuttered as she began to relax on the bed, and luna lowered her body against the alabaster alicorn. Celestia embraced her little sister in her forelegs as they both rest on the bed, panting from the excitement. Celestia smiled as she cherished the feel of Luna's body against her own and planted a kiss at the base of her horn. Luna did not respond to the kiss, making Celestia look down to find Luna asleep on top of her. Celestia smiled as she held the dark blue alicorn against her. "Rest, my little sister," Celestia smiled as she closed her eyes and held her sister closely. The sunlight broke through the window, shining on Celestia's face and waking her up. Celestia dare not move as she woke until she surveyed the scene to find Luna still asleep on her. Celestia smiled as she recalled the night before. Celestia did not have to wait long before Luna began to stir awake. Celestia smiled as Luna sat up on top of her with a stretch. "Morning, Lulu," Celestia said as she admired her little sister. Luna looked at her sister a smiled. "Morning, Tia," Luna said as she lay back down on her older sister. Celestia rubber Luna's back as she held onto her. "Last night was divine!" Luna proclaimed, earning a giggle from the older alicorn. Celestia's smile disappeared as she remembered something Luna said during their fun last night. "Luna," Celestia called. Luna hummed in response as she continued to lay there. "What you said last night." Luna looked at Celestia while resting her chin on her chest. "About me being the mother of your child." "Oh," Luna blushed. "Well, we were in the middle of sex-" "Lulu," Celestia interjected, making the younger alicorn look at her. "What's on your mind, dear sister?" Luna took a breath as she sat up. "Well, Tia," Luna began with a heavy blush. "There's something I've been meaning to ask you." Celestia sat up with a look of curiosity on her face. Luna got off the bed and moved to the nightstand, opening it with her magic and taking out a small box. "Luna?" Celestia asked as she watched her little sister closely. Luna lowered herself to her knees as she held up the box in front of Celestia. "Celestia," Luna began as she opened the box to reveal a gold ring with a sun-shaped ruby and a crescent moon-shaped sapphire. Celestia gasped at the sight of the ring in the box as she pressed a hoof to her muzzle. "Luna?!" Celestia said through trembling lips as tears began to fall down her cheeks. "Will you marry me?" Luna asked with a look of hope in her eyes. Celestia choked on her tears as she stared between the ring and Luna, who used her magic to levitate the ring out of the box and moved to slip it onto Celestia's horn. Celestia smiled through tears of joy at the ring now resting on her horn before looking at Luna. "Yes!" > Chapter IV: The Proposal > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Aww!" Flurry beamed as she listened to the sisters' story. "It's about time, you two," Discord mused as he rests his chin in his lion paw and eagle claw while floating on air. "I'm surprised you were the one who proposed, Luna," Cadence observed with a bright smile. "You mean, you knew it was going to happen?" Twilight asked as she looked at Cadence. "I'm the princess of Love, remember?" Cadence offered with a smile. "Or at least I was before the Empire returned." Twilight hummed as she remembered how Cadence used her magic on a couple in the streets. Twilight knew Cadence did not use her magic to force others to fall in love but reignite the love within. "I'm still not certain about this whole thing," Twilight observed as she looked at the sister. "Same-sex marriage has become a more accepted trend since you became princess, Twilight," Celestia observed. "That's not what I'm talking about," Twilight blushed. "You two are sisters. It's just-" "Twilight, you can't tell us you haven't felt the same way about your brother," Discord stated bluntly, earning a hard swat on the head between his mixed horns by Flurry while Twilight blushed furiously for a second before she and Cadence hung their heads. "Ouch! What did I say?" Flurry rushed over to pull her mother and aunt into a tight hug. "Oh!" Discord hummed as he realized what he just said. "I'm truly sorry, girls!" He moved down and offered them a sincere hug. They held the hug as they thought about the ponies they loved and lost. Celestia and Luna got out of their seats to join them in the hug as they remembered their own share of losses over the years. After a few minutes tied to each other in a group hug, they pulled away while Celestia pulled Twilight's chin to look her in the eye. "We've been through these hardships too, Twilight," Celestia explained. "We've had loved ones in the past we've lost. Through that loss, we've only had each other to turn to." Twilight clung to Celestia in a tight hug. "You're never alone, Twilight. You always have me, Luna, Flurry," Celestia paused before she looked over Twilight's shoulder at Cadence. "And Cadence." Cadence smiled at Celestia. Twilight looked at Cadence. "You know I'm always here for you, Twilight," Cadence observed. "And I know you'll always be there for me, too." Twilight and Cadence embraced each other for a few minutes. "Well, why don't we start getting things ready?" Luna piped up as she looked at Discord and Flurry. "Would you two help me get the backyard cleaned up?" "I could have it-" Discord began. "We don't want to use magic for this, Discord," Luna interjected. "We want to enjoy this whole time with each other. So, no using magic to get everything done and over with." Discord pouted. "Well, that's no fun," Discord protested. "You can always count on me for help, aunty Luna!" Flurry proclaimed. Luna smiled as she pat Flurry's head. "Twilight, why don't you help them out?" Celestia asked with a smile. "It'll be like your first spring at Ponyville." Twilight inclined her head. "What about you and Cadence?" Twilight asked. "She and I will go get the cake," Celestia answered with a smile. "That, and I'd like to have a word with Cadence in private," she said to herself. "Okay," Twilight said as she stood up and followed Luna with the others toward the back door. When they were gone, Celestia turned to Cadence with a smile. "So, have you asked her yet?" Celestia asked. "Not yet," Cadence replied. "I wanted to wait until after your marriage to Luna." Cadence blushed as she looked at the floor. "Though I must admit, I'm scared to ask her." Celestia smiled as she rested a hoof on Cadence's shoulder. "Why are you scared?" Celestia asked softly. "What if she says rejects me?" Cadence asked. "Me Amore Cadenza," Celestia countered. "You should know better than that." Cadence looked at Celestia. It had been decades since she heard her full name. Even though hearing her full name came as a surprise, the thought of it quickly washed away when she realized Celestia was right. Cadence loved Twilight Sparkle, and she knew Twilight loved her. Their relationship was strong even before Cadence took Twilight's brother as her husband, and that relationship only grew stronger in the years after. "You should go and ask her right now," Celestia encouraged. "No," Cadence shook her head. "It would steal the moment away from your wedding." "Nonsense," Celestia countered. "We could host your wedding right after ours!" Celestia smiled. Cadence looked up in surprise at the suggestion. "On such short notice?" Cadence asked. "But, Twilight's hosting your wedding. How could she-" "We'll ask Flurry to step in," Celestia interjected. Cadence blinked. "Luna and I already talked about it, and we would be more than happy to sit as witnesses." "But, what if we want to go public about it?" Cadence asked. "Then, we can all plan for a later date," Celestia smiled. Cadence thought about it for a minute. "You can think about it while we go get the cake." Celestia giggled. "Okay," Cadence inclined her head as she stood to her hooves. "For now, let's get everything ready for you two." Cadence smiled. Outside, Twilight worked on cleaning up any stray leaves while Discord cut the grass by eating it. Luna managed to pull Flurry to the side while the others were distracted. "What is it, aunty Luna?" Flurry asked. "Flurry, do you know what your mother plans to ask Twilight?" Luna asked. Flurry only smiled brightly. Luna smiled back at the youngest alicorn. "Well, Celestia and I thought that we should do it all together." "How can we do that if aunty Twilight's going to host your wedding?" Flurry asked. "Celestia and I thought you could host," Luna smiled. Flurry beamed brightly at the suggestion. She may have been a full-grown alicorn, but she never shied away from acting like a filly. Flurry bowed her head respectfully. "I'd be honored," Flurry said calmly. Luna smiled. "Now, let's go help the others before they start getting suspicious," Luna suggested. "Ah-huh!" Flurry beamed. Luna and Flurry joined with Discord and Twilight in cleaning up the backyard. Flurry couldn't hide her delight, though whenever she was asked about it, she replied with "I'm just excited for the wedding!" After working in the yard for an hour, Celestia and Cadence came out from the house. "We're back!" Celestia called. "Welcome back!" The four called out. "We're actually almost done here," Twilight observed with a proud smile. "I credit your remarkable organization skills," Discord proclaimed as he gave Twilight a nuggie. "Discord!" Twilight protested as she used her magic to keep her crown in place. Flurry giggled as she watched the two of them. Celestia smiled at them as Luna stood next to her before she looked at Cadence. Cadence watched Twilight with a smile. "Go to her, Cadence," Celestia whispered into her ear. Cadence blinked as she looked at the alabaster alicorn. Celestia held up a box that matched the color of Cadence's coat in her magic. Cadence stared at the box for a second before she took it in her own magic. "There's no better time like the present." Celestia smiled. Cadence stared at the box for a minute longer before she held it to her chest as she smiled at Twilight. "You're right," Cadence sighed. The pink alicorn started walking toward Twilight, who was still struggling with Discord. "Come on, Discord," Twilight protested. "We've still got work to do." "Oop!" Discord said as he noticed Cadence walking up. "Looks like I have someplace to be!" He snapped his eagle claw and vanished. Twilight fell to the ground with an audible "oof" and a glare before noticing Cadence walking up. "Cadence?" Twilight said as she got to her hooves. "Is something wrong?" Cadence stopped in front of Twilight with a smile on her face. "Twilight," Cadence said softly. "I've known you ever since you were born." Twilight tilted her head. "I've cared for you as a foal. I've loved you as a sister. I've been there for you whenever you needed me." "Cadence?" Twilight interjected as she stared at the older alicorn. Cadence got to her knees as she held up the box. Twilight gasped as she watched. "Cadence?!" "Twilight Sparkle," Cadence began as she looked at Twilight, who was in tears. "I wanted to wait until after Celestia and Luna's wedding, but," Cadence opened the box to reveal a ring decorated with a star-shaped amethyst. "Will you be my wife?" Twilight's lip trembled as she stared at the ring with tears in her eyes. "We can have a double wedding with Celestia and Luna, or we can take time to plan one for ourselves," Cadence observed. "I don't care." She took the ring out of the box with her magic. "As long as I can share the rest of my long life with you at my side." Twilight trembled in place as her tears stained her cheeks. Flurry bounced in excitement as she watched. Discord hovered with his forelegs folded as he watched with a smile. Celestia and Luna each had tears in their eyes as they leaned against each other while watching. "Cadence, I," Twilight began but found she could not speak as she stared at Cadence. Twilight tackled Cadence to the grass as she dropped her crown and locked lips with Cadence. Cadence kept the ring suspended in her magic as she wrapped her forelegs and wings around the lavender alicorn now on top of her. After a minute of their embrace, Twilight broke the kiss and smiled at Cadence through tears of joy that stained her cheeks. "Yes!" Twilight cried. "By the Elements of Harmony, yes!" Twilight sobbed joyfully as she smiled down at her fiance. Cadence smiled back through her own tears as she used her magic to place the ring on Twilight's horn. Celestia choked on her tears as she smiled proudly at her former student. Luna shared her older sister's joy as she watched Twilight find love. Discord only inclined his head with a smile on his face. Flurry took off into the sky and flew so fast she caused a sonic rainboom. "Oh my!" Discord proclaimed as he watched the rainbow form over them. "Our young alicorn is a stronger flier than I expected." > Chapter V: The Fitting > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Everything at the cottage was ready to go, but with Cadence's proposal to Twilight, more planning needed to occur in under a week. Twilight sat alone in the backyard with a notepad and quill levitating in her magic as she took notes on what needed to be done until Flurry surprised her with a tackle hug. "Oh," Twilight giggled as she hugged the youngest alicorn. "Hello, Flurry." Flurry repositioned herself on Twilight's lap as if she were a filly as she smiled at the lavender alicorn. "Are you excited about everything?" Flurry asked with a bright smile on her face. Twilight looked at her notes for a second. "Honestly, I'm a little concerned, sweetie," Twilight answered. "Why?" Flurry as she leaned in to see Twilight's notes. "Dresses," Twilight answered. "I know Celestia and Luna have theirs ready to go, but your mother and I haven't had the time to get fittings and everything. Even if we got the best to work on it, the timing would be too close for comfort." Twilight sighed. "It's a good thing I've gotten over my Twilight Spazzes." Flurry giggled. Twilight looked at her niece with a smirk. "You were too young to remember my moments." "Mom told me about them," Flurry smiled. "But, that's not what I was laughing about." Twilight raised an eyebrow as she watched the youngest alicorn. "And what might you be laughing at, little one?" Twilight asked as Flurry hopped off Twilight's lap. "How's you're teleporting magic?" Flurry asked. "Well, not to brag, but I could teleport to the other side of the world now," Twilight observed as she scratched her chin. "Good!" Flurry proclaimed as she grabbed Twilight's hoof. "To mom's room back at the empire." Twilight raised an eyebrow. "Trust me," Flurry assured with a smile. "Mom won't mind that we popped in for a few minutes, and you will love what you'll see." Twilight looked back at the cottage to find Cadence mingling with Celestia through the kitchen window. The two went back inside to start cooking a meal for everyone after making the backyard perfect for the occasion. Twilight blinked when she felt her wing being pulled by Flurry's magic. "The longer you take thinking about it, the longer we're gonna be gone." "Still the eager little filly, aren't you?" Twilight asked with a smile. "Only when I'm with family!" Flurry replied as she nuzzled Twilight's cheek. "Now, let's go!" Twilight chuckled and ignited her horn with her magic. In a flash of Twilight's magic, they found themselves in a large crystal room, decorated with pictures on every dresser and every wall of Cadence with her family. Everything from the Canterlot Wedding to Flurry's coronation and more. Twilight took a minute to walk around the room to admire the pictures, cracking a tear at most of them while Flurry walked over to a curtain with a smile on her face as she watched her aunt. "I never knew she had all this?" Twilight observed as she looked around. "Mom always said she never wanted to forget the best moments," Flurry explained. Twilight looked at Flurry, who stood next to the curtain, which looked large enough to hold two full-grown alicorns behind it. "She especially wanted to keep these preserved," Flurry said as she used her magic to open the curtain. Twilight gasped as she saw what was behind. Within the cavity stood two mannequins, one dawning Cadence's wedding dress, and the other wore Shining's Armor's outfit, but both looked slightly different than the day the couple wore them for their wedding. "Those are," Twilight studdered as she took a few steps closer. "Mom couldn't stomach the idea of losing them, so she kept them preserved," Flurry explained as she watched Twilight with a smile. Twilight took a closer look at the outfits. "Looks like she did more than preserve them," Twilight observed as her tears stained her cheeks. The fabrics were new and vibrant as if non of the original material survived the years. Not only was the material fresh and new, but the outfits also looked larger than Twilight remembered as if Cadence had them refitted over the years. On top of them looking like they could fit a gull-grown alicorn, Shining's suit had wing holes added to the back. "Well, she did do more than just preserve them," Flurry blushed a bit. Twilight looked at Flurry in curiosity as she used her magic to take the bright red suit off the mannequin and levitate it to twilight. "Try it on." Twilight blinked. "Flurry, sweetie," Twilight took a step back. "This was your father's. I couldn't possibly-" "Try it on," Flurry interjected with a smile. "If dad were here, would he really be upset at you for using it for such a special occasion?" Twilight bit her lip as more tears fell down her cheek. After a minute, Twilight took the outfit in her magic. Flurry turned her back at Twilight to admire the beauty of her mother's wedding dress and to give Twilight a moment to slip the outfit on. Twilight found putting the red coat on was considerably easy and that it fit her body to a "T." "Wow," Twilight observed. "It fits perfectly." Flurry turned to look at Twilight and smiled brightly with tears sliding down her cheeks. "And it suits you," Flurry observed. Both alicorns smiled at each other with tears running down their cheeks. "You really don't have a problem with your aunt marrying your mother?" Twilight asked. "While wearing your father's wedding suit?" Flurry walked up and pulled Twilight into a warm hug. "You've been a mother to me for almost a hundred years," Flurry reminded her. "I can't think of anyone else to call a second mother than you." Twilight teared up as she returned the hug. "I'd be proud to think of you as my daughter," Twilight observed tearfully. "You sure your mother won't mind me wearing this?" Twilight asked as she found a full mirror to look at herself in the red coat. "I think the way it fits answers that question," Flurry observed as she smiled at Twilight in the mirror. Twilight smiled as she observed herself in the mirror. It felt as though she was not wearing anything at all. The red fabric molded around her body perfectly and was the most comfortable she had ever felt. "It fits so perfectly," Twilight observed as she admired the suit in the mirror. "That's because I spent the last year making sure it was perfect for you," Cadence's voice made both of them jump and look over to find Cadence standing by the door with a smirk on her face. "Mom!" Flurry said in surprise as she scratched the back of her head and chuckled nervously. "What are you doing here?" "You didn't think I left something so important without an alarm spell, did you?" Cadence replied. Flurry blushed as she took a few steps back while Cadence walked up to Twilight with a smile. "So, what do you think?" Twilight blushed as she looked at herself. "How'd you get it so perfect?" Twilight asked. "By very carefully using magic to get your exact measurements every chance I got," Cadence answered as she admired Twilight in a refitted version of her late husband's wedding suit. "How'd you manage that?" Twilight asked as she looked at Cadence. "I would've felt magic around my body." "Discord was more than happy to help," Cadence answered with a smirk. "Really?" Twilight asked with a raised eyebrow before Discord appeared with an arm over Twilight's back. "Now, why would you think I wouldn't be happy to help a friend?" Discord asked before vanishing again. Cadence and Flurry giggled as Twilight rolled her eyes with a shake of her head. "Discord made it easy for me to take measurements every time I visited over the last year," Cadence explained as she admired Twilight all over. Twilight blushed as she stood there. "Isn't it bad luck to see the bride before the altar?" Twilight protested. "That only counts for the groom," Flurry answered as she walked up. "And there's no groom here." Twilight blushed. "She has a point," Cadence observed. "Even so, I'm glad I got a chance to see my efforts paid off." Cadence smiled as she admired Twilight in her wedding outfit. Twilight stood tall and proud in the suit her brother used for his special day before Cadence surprised her with a peck on the cheek. "Let's get them packed up and back to the cottage." Discord suddenly appeared by Cadence's dress with a smiled on his face. "Allow me!" Discord proclaimed as he readied to snap his claws. "Discord!" Cadence barked. "If anything happens to these outfits, so help me-" "My dear, Cadence," Discord interjected. "I'm surprised after all these years; you still don't trust me to handle something as precious as this." He snapped his fingers, and they all found themselves back at Celestia and Luna's cottage. The outfits were hanging neatly on-air while securely sealed in plastic wrap to protect them from the elements. "Honestly, I may be the spirit of disharmony, but I know how to take care of important items." "Like you did with Cosy Glow, Queen Chrysalis, and Tirek?" Flurry countered with a smirk on her face. "Now, I had that completely under control," Discord defended himself. "I just underestimated their ability to put their differences aside and work together." "And all of Equestria nearly got destroyed by the Windigoes because of it," Cadence observed. "But if it weren't for Twilight and her teachings, Equestria wouldn't have united and come out stronger because of it," Discord defended himself again. "The outcome of the ordeal was one-hundred percent intended; the details just got a little out of control, is all." "Now, leave him alone, girls," Twilight interjected with a smile. "It's true, Discord does have his faults, but so do us all. If it weren't for him, we wouldn't be standing here now, getting ready for the biggest day of our lives." "The biggest day?" Discord asked with a smirk. "Okay, one of the biggest," Twilight giggled. "Are you four too invested in talking, or are you all ready for lunch?" Celestia called out from around the corner with a proud smile on her face. > Chapter VI: The Love > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twilight lay in the bed of one of the guest rooms in the cottage as she stared at a reflection of herself through a mirror she conjured with her magic. She smiled at the ring resting on her horn as it sparkled with the light of her magic. As she thought about the mare who gave the ring to her, she choked on tears of joy. "Oh, Cadence," she whispered to herself. "Who'd have thought you are the one I choose to share my life with?" Twilight jumped when the door to her room opened quietly. Twilight looked to find the silhouette of Cadence looking at her from the doorway. "Cadence?" Twilight called as she sat up. The shadow stepped into the room as she closed the door behind her. Twilight used her magic to illuminate the room to find Cadence walking up to her with a smile. "Hey, Twilight," Cadence whispered as she leaned her muzzled in to nuzzle Twilight's nose. Twilight could not help but smile brightly at Cadence's touch. "What are you doing, Cadence?" Twilight asked as Cadence pulled herself under the sheets next to her. "Can't I share a bed with my fiance?" Cadence asked as she smiled into Twilight's eyes. "Do you think that's a good idea?" Twilight asked with a heavy blush. Cadence reached up and rubbed Twilight's cheek with her hoof. "Are you saying you don't want me in bed with you?" Cadence cued. Twilight blushed as she looked at Cadence. "That's not it at all," Twilight defended herself. "I just don't want us to do anything we'll regret." Cadence leaned closer and planted a sweet kiss on Twilight's nose, making the lavender alicorn blush even more. "There is nothing we can do that I will regret, Twilight," Cadence hummed softly as she pulled Twilight closer into a hug. Twilight found herself snuggling against the pink alicorn with a smile on her face and a warmth in her gut she never wanted to face away. A feeling of happiness that only grew as she felt Cadence's tail wrap around her own. Cadence smiled at the ring on Twilight's horn and planted a kiss on the gems embedded on the band. Twilight struggled with herself as she found her hoof reached up to feel Cadence's fur. "Stop it, Twilight!" she told herself as she watched her hoof inch closer to Cadence's hip. "Stop it, Twilight! She's going to hate you!" She bit her lip as she started to tremble, and her heart rate increased. "Twilight," Cadence's soft voice called out, making Twilight flinch until she felt her soft hoof start patting her head. "You don't have to be scared." Twilight looked at Cadence, who only offered her a loving smile before she reached down to grab Twilight's hoof and rest it over her cutie mark. Twilight stared into Cadence's eyes as she felt her curve against her hoof. Cadence only smiled into Twilight's eyes as she held her hoof on her rump. Twilight soon gave in as she took in the feel of Cadence at her hoof. "That's it, Twilight," Cadence encouraged. "I'm yours now." Cadence nuzzled Twilight's forehead as she moved her own hoof up Twilight's foreleg. "Cadence," Twilight muttered. "Shh," Cadence whispered. "Just let it go." Cadence closed her eyes as she let Twilight feel her curves. Twilight's heart quickened as she moved her hoof over Cadence's plump rump. Soon, Twilight found herself planting kisses on the pink fur of her fiance's chest. Cadence smiled as she let her future bride love her. "Honestly, I've been dreaming about this for decades." Twilight lifted her chin to look Cadence in the eye. Cadence looked into Twilight's eyes with a loving smile. After a minute of smiling at each other, they both leaned their muzzles in for a kiss until their lips met with a loving peck. "I love you, Twilight," Cadence whispered before planting another kiss. "I love you too, Cadence," Twilight whimpered before planting another kiss. They smiled into each other's eyes for another minute before locking their lips in a deep kiss. Twilight pulled Cadence against her by the rump as they made out deeply. Twilight parted her lips as she felt Cadence's tongue begging to intrude her mouth. Their tongues twirled around each other as they moaned into each other's lips while Twilight fondled and groped Cadence's ass. After a minute of making out, they broke the kiss to take a breath. "Oh, Cadence!" Twilight gasped. Cadence moved over Twilight as she resumed their passionate kiss while she moved a hoof between Twilight's hindlegs. Twilight gasped as she felt Cadence's hoof touch her sensitive flower, causing Cadence to pull away. "Too much?" Cadence asked. Twilight looked at Cadence through heavy breathing. "I've never done this before," Twilight breathed. Cadence leaned down and nuzzled Twilight's neck. "It's okay," Cadence whispered. "We don't have to." Twilight took Cadence's hoof in her own, getting Cadence to look her in the eye before she guided the pink hoof back to her winking vagina. Twilight shivered at the touch of Cadence's hoof. "I want to," Twilight whimpered. Cadence smiled as she nuzzled Twilight's neck while she tenderly rubbed her hoof against Twilight's marehood. "Just tell me when it's uncomfortable," Cadence whispered as she lovingly masturbated Twilight's nethers, causing the lavender alicorn to twitch and moan at the stimulation. Cadence smiled as she got her hoof wet with Twilight's juices. Twilight shivered and moaned as Cadenced rubbed her hoof against her precious parts. Twilight grabbed Cadence's shoulders as she shuttered and moaned. "It's an amazing feeling, isn't it?" Cadence asked as she pulled her hoof away to hold it between their muzzles. Twilight looked at Cadence as she panted while Cadence licked Twilight's love juices off her hoof. "It tastes even better." Twilight gulped before she extended her tongue out to lick the pink hoof covered in her own juices. Twilight hummed as the flavor of her fluids hit her tongue. "It's," Twilight paused to think of her next words. "Different." Cadence giggled as she licked her hoof. "It's probably better if it belongs to the pony you love the most," Cadence smiled into Twilight's, who blushed at the compliment. "Cadence," Twilight whispered with ablush. Cadence smiled at Twilight as she listened to her bride-to-be. "Um," Twilight paused as she thought about how to ask this question. "What if we want," Twilight blushed furiously before Cadence took her hoof in her own. Twilight looked into Cadence's eyes as she offered only the most loving smile she could as if to tell Twilight not to be ashamed of what was on her mind. "What if we want foals together?" Twilight blushed so brightly her entire face became as red as good old Big Macintosh. Cadence nuzzled Twilight's cheek tenderly. "I'm sure you know a few spells to help make that happen," Cadence assured softly. "I'd be more than happy to carry your child or to give you my child." Twilight's face was so beet red; she started to sweat as Cadence planted kisses on her neck. "Relax, Twilight," Cadence urged as she took her hoof in her own. "Is this truly your first time?" Twilight nodded her head. "You've never been in bed with a stallion or mare?" Twilight shook her head. "Not even Spike?" "Spike was my closest friend, but not like that," Twilight countered with a blush. "The only stallion I ever had such feelings for was-" Twilight bit her lip as she looked to the wall. Cadence reach up to caress Twilight's cheek, making her look her in the eye. Twilight looked into Cadence's eyes with tears watering her own. They stared into each other's eyes for a long, silent minute before Cadence leaned in and tenderly locked their lips together. "I miss him too, Twilight," Cadence thought to herself. "I know I none of us could replace him for the other, nor do I want any of us to." Twilight wrapped her forelegs around Cadence in a loving embrace as they lovingly kissed each other. They finally broke the kiss to breathe as Cadence looked into Twilight's eyes. "Is there anything you want to try?" she asked softly as she caressed Twilight's cheek. Twilight blushed as she looked into Cadence's eyes. "I want to carry your foal," Twilight answered. Cadence smiled at the answer brightly. "I'd be honored to father your foal, my darling Twilight Sparkle," Cadence replied as she kissed Twilight's forehead. "I presume you know a spell that can make that happen?" "A few," Twilight answered. "There's a simple spell that takes-" Cadence silenced Twilight by placing a hoof over her lips. "Just cast the spell, Twilight," Cadence smiled. Twilight blushed before she closed her eyes as her horn lit up in a purple aura. She focused on a place on Cadence's body as she thought about the spell. Cadence blinked as she felt something warm around her marehood before she smiled. The aura around Twilight's horn faded as she finished the spell before looking at Cadence with a blush. Cadence leaned back to look between her hindlegs and found a stallion cock standing proudly at the ready. "I want to conceive conventionally," Twilight stated with a blush. Cadence stared at her new cock almost hungrily for a minute as it pulsed with her heartbeat before she smiled at Twilight. "Are you sure, Twilight?" Cadence asked lovingly. "We don't have to do this if you're not ready." Twilight nodded. "I'm ready," Twilight answered as she opened her hindlegs. Cadence smiled as she leaned down and planted a kiss on Twilight's lips. "I'll be gentle for you," Cadence whispered as she pressed her hips against Twilight's. "Hold onto me," Cadence told Twilight as she nuzzled her neck. Twilight wrapped her forelegs around Cadence with soft moans as Cadence softly ground her rock-hard cock against Twilight's winking pussy. "Don't be afraid to tell me if you need us to stop." Cadence kissed Twilight's neck as she pulled her hips back and used her magic to guide the head of her stallionhood into Twilight's entrance. Twilight bit her lip as she moaned to the stimulation of something other than a dildo entering her private parts. She desperately clung to Cadence as the pink alicorn slowly and lovingly pushed her cock into Twilight's vagina. Inch by inch, second by second, Cadence softly groaned as she intruded into her lover's precious flower. Twilight's moans grew louder and louder with each passing inch. After what felt like an eternity, the pair's hips pressed together as Cadence completely engulfed her cock into Twilight's passage. "You took it all in?" Cadence gasped as Twilight shivered desperately. Twilight was too lost in the pleasure to form words as she held onto her lover. Cadence nuzzled Twilight's neck as she held their position with nothing but love in her heart. "Are you ready, Twilight?" she asked. "Give me your foals," Twilight pleaded as her inner walls pulsed over Cadence's hard cock. Cadence lifted her head to smile at Twilight, who looked at her with a pleading smile. Cadence leaned down and locked lips with Twilight as the lavender alicorn caressed her cheek before she started rutting her hips against Twilight's. Twilight moaned into Cadence's lips as she felt the cock slide against her soaking inner walls. Cadence groaned in bliss as she began fucking her fiance with her new cock. The sensation of Twilight's wet inner walls rubbing against her pulsing meat made her legs twitch as she moved her hips. "Oh, Twilight!" Cadence moaned as she focused everything she could on conjuring a sound bubble around them. "You feel amazing, Twilight!" "Cadence!" Twilight moaned into Cadence's neck as she clung to her desperately. "Harder, Cadence! I want this!" Cadence's ears perked as she heard this, and she moved her hips faster, deeper, and harder with every passing thrust. "Fuck!" Twilight moaned. Twilight's vagina leaked all over Cadence's cock and her legs before spilling onto the bed as they made love for the first time together. This may be their first time in bed, but it certainly would not be their last. Cadence groaned as she already felt her body reaching its climax. "So soon?!" Cadence continued thrusting a few times before stopping. Twilight looked at Cadence in confusion. "Why'd you stop?" Twilight asked. "I was about to cum," Cadence answered as she panted. Twilight pulled Cadence into a hug. "It doesn't have to last," Twilight whispered. "It just has to be special!" Cadence smiled as she pulled Twilight onto her lap before gripping her rump and resume thrusting, making Twilight moan as she bounded on her lover's cock. "Yes!" Twilight moaned into Cadence's ear. "Fill me up with your foals!" Cadence did not need to hear anything else as she pulled Twilight onto her meat while thrusting deep into her vagina with a groan. Twilight arched with a loud moan as she felt Cadence's semen penetrate her womb, which sent her into her own state of climax. Her inner walls clenching over Cadence's cock, milking it of every last drop. Both girls cried out in orgasmic bliss as they road their climaxes until the end. Cadence twitched as she held onto twilight, who panted heavily into Cadence's shoulder before they both lay on the bed in a mess of their combined love juices. "That was amazing, Twilight!" Cadence proclaimed as she held Twilight close while staying inside, her cock acting like a cork for her semen inside Twilight's vegina. Twilight smiled as she desperately clung to Cadence with her limbs and her marehood. "You were amazing!" Twilight corrected. "I feel so full!" Twilight panted. Cadence giggled softly as she patted Twilight's head while holding her close. "Rest now, my darling," Cadence said softly before planting a kiss on the ring resting on Twilight's horn. "Goodnight," Twilight yawned just before passing out in Cadence's hold with a smile on her face. No doubt this will be the night she will sleep the most soundly. > Chapter VII: The Wedding > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twilight's internal clock woke her up from her deep, peaceful sleep with a bright smile on her face. She started to move to get out of bed before realizing a pink hoof was wrapped around her belly. Twilight smiled brightly as she closed her eyes, igniting her horn with her purple magic, and the sunlight began to shine through the window. When the sun was in the sky, she let her magic die as she opened her eyes and continued to lay in bed with Cadence spooning her. Twilight smiled as she felt a warm muzzle nuzzling the back of her neck and the hoof wrapped around her belly rub against her coat. "Morning, darling," Twilight hummed happily. As a response, Twilight felt the muzzle plant a kiss on the back of her neck. "Did you sleep well?" Twilight asked. Cadence's hoof only hugged Twilight's belly, making the lavender alicorn smile. Twilight rested a hoof over Cadence's. "I think it's a safe bet I'm not pregnant yet, Cadence." "Wait, what?" a voice that did not belong to Cadence called from behind Twilight, making her blink and turn around to find Discord under the sheets with a smirk on his face. Outside, Celestia and Luna sat around the table enjoying some morning tea when all of a sudden, Discord came flying through one of the bedroom windows, making them both jump in surprise. "Oh, come now, Twilight," Discord called as he pulled himself off the ground like a sticker. "There's no need for such behavior." He stuck the thumb of his lion paw into his lips and blew, making his flattened body resume its natural shape. Twilight lept out of the window with a glare on her face and her horn glowing brightly. "You pose as my fiance and sleep with me the night after she proposed to me, and I'm not supposed to be upset about that?!" Twilight cried out as her horn grew brighter. Celestia and Luna blinked as they heard what Twilight just said. Discord brushed the cotton candy off his shoulders before he looked at Twilight calmly. "My dear Twilight," he said as he snapped his fingers, making a cloud appear with Cadence sleeping soundly atop it while holding onto a Twilight-sized tuft. "Your night with Cadence went exactly as you remembered it," Discord explained. "I simply wanted to have a little fun by surprising you when you woke up." "What's going on?" Celestia asked as she walked up while Twilight rushed to Cadence. "Our dear Twilight had a wonderful time with her fiance last night," Discord explained as Twilight tenderly nuzzled Cadence awake. "Well, that's wonderful," Celestia said as she watched Twilight with a smile. "Except, Twilight appears to be upset about something Discord has done," Luna piped up as she stepped next to Celestia with a stern look on her face directed at Discord. Discord took notice of Luna's expression and literally shrunk with a blush on his face. "I may have snuck into Cadence's place while Twilight slept," Discord admitted as he twiddled his toes. Celestia blinked as she looked at Discord. "You chose to pull a prank on Twilight after such a memorable moment?!" Celestia asked sharply. Suddenly, the door opened, and Flurry walked out while rubbing her eyes and yawning. "What's with all the shouting?" Flurry asked as she walked up until she saw the shattered glass with a mini Discord looking up at the others, and Twilight and Cadence snuggled on a cloud together. "Did I miss something here?" "It seems our friend, Discord, doesn't know when to leave a couple alone after precious moments," Luna explained as Discord began to kick at the dirt with his head hanging and his forelegs tied behind his back. Flurry looked at Discord blankly for a minute. "Meh, I'll curse him later," she said matter-of-factly as she walked past him to Twilight and Cadence, making the draconaquus blink. "Wait, what?" he asked as he watched her walked by. Flurry hopped onto the cloud with Twilight and Cadence to pull them into a hug. "Beautiful morning, mother Twilight," Flurry greeted. "Sleep well, mommy Cadence?" Twilight blinked at what Flurry just said. "What did you say?" Twilight asked. Flurry smiled at Twilight as she finished the hug. "I asked mom if she slept well," Flurry explained. "No, before that," Twilight shook her head. "She said-" Discord began only to have a steel plate suddenly appear over his lips. Discord blinked as he looked to find Twilight glaring sharply at him with her horn glowing. "You asked for this, Discord," Celestia said as she returned to the table with Luna. Discord let his arms fall to his sides as he literally melted into a pile of brown goo with yellow and red eyes staring up at the sky. Flurry could not help but giggle at his endless chaotic antics before Twilight got her to look her in the eye. "Flurry," Twilight called. "You called me something when you told me it was a beautiful morning. What was it?" Flurry smiled. "What?" Flurry began. "Would you prefer I called you mom while I call Cadence mommy? The other way around? Or would you like Mommy Twilight and Mommy Cadence? I'm fine with either option, but you better get used to me calling you mom somehow." Flurry stated with a confident smile as she pointed at Twilight's chest. Cadence smiled proudly at her daughter while Twilight's cheeks started to stain from the tears of joy she felt. "I don't care either way either," Twilight smiled as she pulled Flurry into a hug. "I'm proud to call you my daughter." Cadence pulled them both into a hug as Celestia and Luna watched them with a smile while Discord flashed himself back to normal with a hopeful smile. "This is quite a touching moment," Discord observed. The three alicorns separated from the hug as Flurry gave him a stern look. "Don't think you're off the hook yet, mister," Flurry stated matter-of-factly. "I'm still gonna curse you later." Discord gulped. "Oh, and for good measure," Flurry began as she scratched her chin with a smirk, "I'm not going to tell you when I'm gonna curse you." "Oh, dear," Discord gulped again. "In any case," Flurry hopped off the cloud. "Why are we all sitting here? It's your wedding day!" Flurry took off into the air and performed a few aerial flips out of excitement. The four alicorns chuckled at the youngest as they all got to their hooves. "Discord," Celestia called, making the draconaquus flinch. "I think it only fair that you help us get into our dresses to start your apology." Discord snapped his claws and vanished in a flash only to reappear as four Discords', one for each alicorn. "It would be my pleasure, m'lady," the Discord by Celestia said as he bowed respectfully. The other three followed suit. Twilight raised an eyebrow at him. "I'm not sure that's a good idea," she stated. Twilight had never been so mad at Discord before. There were several times he did things that upset her, but nothing like this. The Discord beside her hung his head in shame. "Twilight, I meant no offense," Discord began, "I only meant it to be a harmless joke." "You'll have to prove yourself after this," Twilight stated firmly. Cadence took Twilight's hoof into her own and nuzzled her cheek. "Go easy on him, my love," Cadence said softly. "After all, it is in his nature to be chaotic." Twilight smiled softly as she held Cadence's hoof before Cadence reached down to rub Twilight's belly. Twilight blushed. "Cadence, it's too early to tell something like that," Twilight whispered. Cadence leaned closer to Twilight's ear. "I used an enhancing spell to speed the process," Cadence whispered into Twilight's ear, making the lavender alicorn blink and blush. Cadence chuckled as she kissed Twilight's cheek. "I'm kidding, Twilight. But I did use a little magic to make sure everything's guaranteed. It won't be long before we meet our foal." "What?!" Flurry landed on the ground in front of Twilight as if she just teleported there. "You're already pregnant?!" Twilight blushed hard at the question. "Ah! Mommy Twilight's having a baby!" Flurry pulled Twilight into a hug. "I'm gonna be a big sister!" Twilight chuckled with a blush. "Calm down, Flurry," Cadence chuckled. "Calm down?" Flurry asked as she let go of Twilight. "Calm down?! How can I calm down?! I'm getting a second mom, who happens to be the greatest mare in all the world, and I find out she's already carrying my little sibling!" Twilight chuckled as she watched Flurry with a smile while thinking about how the young alicorn behaved just like Pinkie Pie. Flurry bounced around while cheering. "Well, you are hosting the wedding, sweetie," Cadence reminded Flurry, who stopped in mid-air before floating to the ground. "I gotta get myself ready!" Flurry proclaimed before grabbing one of the Discord clones and pulled, making another clone. "You're coming with me!" Flurry ordered sharply before igniting her horn, and the two disappeared. Cadence giggled as she walked to the cottage. "That mare has a lot of energy," Cadence observed. "Kind of like Pinkie Pie," Twilight added as she walked with Cadence. "It seems to me; our little Flurry inherited the best of the ones we loved," Cadence suggested as she draped a wing over Twilight's back. Twilight smiled softly as she leaned over to kiss Cadence. "See you at the altar, my love." "I can't wait," Twilight smiled. One of the Discord clones snapped his claws, and four different dressing rooms appeared outside the cottage, and the bedroom window Twilight threw Discord through was restored. Each dressing curtain was decorated with each of the alicorns' cutie marks and coat colors, respectively. The Discord clones stood outside the rooms as they all bowed to their designated alicorns. "If you ladies would step inside," they all said in unison. "You'll find your wedding attire ready for you." Each alicorn stepped into their designated dressing rooms as the Discord closed the curtains behind them. Just as they all concealed themselves into their dressing rooms, Flurry reappeared with her clone of Discord. The Discord clone flopped on his chin with a perplexed look on his face. "Ready!" Flurry singsonged as she struck a pose. One of the clones poked his head out of Celestia's room. "We only just got started getting dressed," he explained. "You'll have to give us a few minutes." Flurry soluted at the Clone on the ground in front of her. "Take your time, boys!" Flurry stated as she walked over to the end of the path the girls would walk down as her Discord clone got to his feet while brushing himself off. "And I thought I was the chaotic one," Discord observed. "What was that?" Flurry asked with a raised eyebrow at him. "Nothing!" Discord smiled. "That's what I thought," Flurry said as she clapped her hooves. Discord looked around when nothing happened. "What did you just do?" Discord asked. Flurry only smirked as she stood at her position while waiting for the girls to get dressed. Discord gulped as he watched Flurry, who only smirked at him. "My, is it getting hot out here?" Discord asked as he waved a fan at his face. "What's taking those girls so long?" In a flash, he stood outside Celestia's dressing room. "Are you ready in there?" The head of his clone poked out, wearing lipstick and eyeliner. "Don't you know it's rude to rush a lady while she's getting dressed?!" the clone asked in a fake female voice before pulling back behind the curtain. Discord moved to Luna's curtain next and poked his head inside only for his voice to scream like a girl, and he gets a slap on the face. Discord pulled his head from behind the curtain to show a red cheek. "Pervert!" his voice called from behind the curtain. Flurry chuckled as she watched him. "Well, I guess there's no harm in letting the guests take their seats at this time," Discord said as he snapped his claws, making him vanish before a crowd of Discords' filled the seats with smiles on their faces as they all conversed with each other about how long they have been waiting for this day to come. Flurry smiled at all the Discords waiting for the ceremony to begin. "Fillies and gentle colts!" Discord's voice came from behind, drawing everyone's attention. "It gives me great pleasure to present to you the four brides, Celestia!" Celestia stepped out from behind the curtain, wearing a golden dress that shined and sparkled in the sunlight, her mane in a tight bun, and jewelry that replicated her royal garb when she was a princess. "Her sister, Luna!" Luna stepped out from behind her curtain with a black dress, decorated with crescent moons and a silver train, her mane in a bun with a ponytail braid. "Mi Amore Cadenza!" Cadence stepped out of the curtain wearing the same dress she wore when she married Shining Armor, which was refitted to accommodate her full-grown alicorn size. Her main was tied in a simple ponytail, much like how she wore it as a filly while foal-sitting for Twilight. "And Princess-" "Did we miss it?" a great voice called out. Everyone looked up to find two great dragons coming in for a soft landing, a purple male with green spikes and a blue female with navy-blue spikes. "Actually, the brides were just being announced," Flurry answered with a smile. "Flurry, we wanted this to be a private affair," Celestia called out. "Oh, I'm sorry, I thought that included Spike and Ember," Flurry replied with a smile. Celestia blinked as she looked up at the dragon while Twilight poked her head out from behind her curtain. "Spike?!" Twilight asked as she looked around until she found Spike and Ember waving down at her. The red coat used to make her outfit glittered in the sunlight. "Spike!" Twilight teleported to his face and hugged his snout. "Oh, it's so wonderful to see you!" Spike chuckled. "It's great to see you too, Twilight," Spike said in a surprisingly soft voice for his size. "Though I have to admit, I'm disappointed you didn't invite us to your wedding." "Yeah, Twilight," Ember piped up. "What gives?" "I'm sorry, Spike," Twilight said as she hovered in front of the two dragons. "Everything has been happening so quickly; I didn't even think about-" "Relax, Twilight," Spike chuckled. "Flurry and Discord informed us about everything. Did you honestly think we'd be upset with you?" he asked with a smile. Twilight smiled at Spike and Ember tearfully. "I'll have to thank Flurry when this is over," Twilight chuckled. "I thought it wouldn't be right to exclude some of your oldest friends and only have Discord as a witness," Flurry said matter-of-factly. "Eh em!" Discord's voice called from below. Twilight looked at Discord. "I was just about to announce you, dear princess." Twilight blushed as she realized everyone else was waiting for her. She lowered herself back in front of her dressing room next to Cadence, who smiled at her joyfully. Another clone of Discord appeared with a full-scale pipe organ and began playing the traditional wedding them. The sound of the organ music filled the air as Spike and Ember sat together next to the cottage with smiles on their faces as the four alicorns began walking down the aisle together. Celestia took Luna's hoof as they walked side-by-side, while Cadence took Twilight's hoof as they walked behind the oldest alicorns. All of the Discords watched the four with smiles on their faces while some wiped tears from their eyes. A couple of them even broke out bawling. Celestia and Luna walked to the left of Flurry while Cadence and Twilight walked to the right. "You all look beautiful," Flurry complimented, earning a smile from all the mares. "Love is a most precious element everyone has in the world!" Flurry called out. "Love can be found in many forms, but today, we get to see love at its best! Today, we witness the union of not two but four alicorns in the eternal bonds of matrimony!" Flurry smiled at the dragons as she noticed Ember leaning her head against Spike's shoulder while holding his claw. Flurry then turned to Celestia with a smile. "Since this isn't your conventional wedding, we'll keep this simple. Do you, Celestia, take your sister, Luna, to be your wedded wife, from now until the end of time?" "I do," Celestia answered as she smiled into her sister's eyes. "And will you, Luna return that promise?" Flurry asked as she smiled at Luna. "As sure as the moon rises after the sun sets," Luna answered with a tearful smile into Celestia's eyes. "Mother, dearest," Flurry began as she looked at Cadence. "Do you take your sister-in-law as your bride and promise to uphold your element from now on?" "Try and stop me," Cadence answered as she smiled at Twilight. "And last, but certainly not least," Flurry began as she smiled at Twilight. "Do you, Princess of Equestria, Element of Magic, and greatest mare in the world-" "Flurry," Cadence interrupted, earning a giggle from the youngest alicorn. "Do you take the former Crystal Princess as your bride," Flurry began again. "To carry her foals and lead our family as well as Equestria to a brighter future?" "There is no pony else I'd rather spend my life with," Twilight answered as she smiled into Cadence's eyes. "I do believe our beloved ladies have already been presented with their rings," Flurry said with a bright smile on her face. "So, by the power vested in me, I hereby declare these mares married to each other! You may kiss your brides!" Tears stained each of the alicorns' cheeks as Celestia and Cadence leaned in to lock lips with their new brides. As their lips met, the crowd of Discords broke out into a roar of applause. Spike wiped away a tear from his eye as Ember rolled her eyes at him. "Still a big softy, huh, Spike?" Ember asked. "It's just so wonderful to finally see our girl's found love," Spike replied as he watched Twilight looking the happiest she had ever been in over a hundred years. > Chapter VIII: The Blessing > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twilight smiled into Cadence's eyes as she heard Flury pronounce them a married couple when she leaned in and locked lips with her new wife. The moment their lips met, everything faded away into a dark abyss around them. Twilight and Cadence looked around as a crowd of ponies rushed past them like they were on a moving sidewalk. Twilight and Cadence watched as everything sped past them until they came up to no less than seven ponies. "Hello?" Twilight asked the group. "Hello?" a familiar raspy female voice called out. "After all this time, the best you can come up with is "Hello?" Twilight blinked as soon as she heard that familiar voice. "Simmer down, sugar-cube," another familiar voice called. The accent was instantly recognizable. "It has been a long time." "Maybe it's been so long she's forgotten about us!" another familiar female voice called out. "Oh! Maybe I should make her a remember-us-cake!" Twilight gasped. "It can't be," she said as her lip began to tremble. "It can, and it is, Twily," a male voice called out from the shadows softly. Cadence gasped at the sound of this voice. "Shining armor?" Cadence called out. The figures took a step forward into the light, revealing themselves to be none other than their friends and family from so long ago. Shining Armor, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and all the others stood in a group smiling at the alicorns with proud smiles on all of their faces. "It's wonderful to see you again, Cadence," Shining said softly with a smile. All of them looked as young and healthy as the day Twilight first met her friends, as Shining looked as strong as the day he married Cadence. Both Cadence and Twilight could not hold back the overwhelming joy welling up inside of them as they burst into tears and rushed over to hug the group. "How is this possible?" Twilight asked. "How often do you have four alicorns dedicate themselves to such a magical promise?" Starlight Glimmer asked with a smile. "You have five of the most powerful creatures in Equestria gathered together with the spirit of chaos and two of the oldest dragons alive." Twilight began to open her mouth to question the phenomenon further. "Twilly," Shining interrupted. "It doesn't matter how this is happening. What matters is we're all together again for this moment." Twilight's lip trembled as her tears stained her cheeks before she pulled him into a tight hug. "I've missed you all so much!" Twilight proclaimed through trembling lips. Shining rubbed her back as he held her close before looking at Cadence with a warm smile. "We can't tell you how happy we are for you two," Applejack chimed in as she and Rainbow smiled at them. Twilight and Cadenced looked between them all. "And to celebrate your future family!" Pinkie cried out as she lept into the air before hugging Twilight's hips. "Oh, how I wish I could be there to see the new foal!" Twilight blushed hard as she looked at Shining, who only smiled warmly at her. "Honestly, I'm surprised it took you two so long," Shining mused. "Wait," Twilight blinked, "you knew?" Shining smiled. "Come on, Twilly," Shining began. "You and Cadence were always so close." "And you're okay with this?" Twilight asked. "C'mon, sugar-cube," Applejack piped up. "We were more than just your friends; we were a family." "We still are!" Rainbow proclaimed as she held her wife's hoof in her own. "You should know we would've supported you no matter what!" Twilight and Cadence smiled at all of them as they all smiled at the newly married couple. Twilight and Cadence held each other's hooves as she smiled into each other's eyes before looking at the group. "I only wish this moment could last forever," Twilight whimpered. "Twilight," Shining said as he stepped up to lift Twilight's chin to look at him. "We will always be with you, and Cadence, and the sisters, and of course," Shining paused as he smiled at Cadence, "Flurry Heart." "Don't forget the new foal!" Pinkie chimed proudly as she nuzzled Twilight's belly. "We'll always be there to watch over the foal! Oh! What are you gonna name him?! Or her?! Have you got clothes picked out!? How are you gonna raise the baby!?" Pinkie's tail was yanked back into the group by Cheese Sandwich. "Calm down, honey," Cheese said in his cowpony voice. "Our friend Twilight already has enough on her mind without worrying about such things." Twilight giggled at the couple. "In any case," Starlight Glimmer piped up as she took a few steps forward. "Life has given us this chance to let you know, Twilight," she paused as she rested a hoof on Twilight's shoulder, "we are all here for you and your family. We always have been, and we always will be, and to give you our blessing." "Not that you need it," Pinkie called from her spot next to her husband. "You are the princess of Equestria, after all." Pinkie received a smack on the back of the head by a white hoof before Rarity smiled at Twilight. "As much as we'd love to physically be there for you, darling," Rarity began, "just know that we are always here to support you." Twilight smiled at the white unicorn before pulling her into a hug. The whole group joined into the hug for a long minute, neither wanting to let go. "As much as we want to make this moment last forever," Shining Armor began, "it's time for us to go." Twilight and Cadence looked at him. Shining planted a loving kiss on Cadence's lips before turning to Twilight. "Before we go, I think I owe you something you've been longing for a long time." Shining stepped up and tenderly pulled Twilight into a deep kiss, which she melted in as she hugged him. The others smiled through tears as they watched the moment before Shining broke the kiss. "Now, go and build a new family with my wife, knowing that you both have my full blessing." Twilight smiled at her older brother. "You're not going to leave this moment without at least giving us a hug, are you?" another familiar voice called from behind Twilight, making her blink before looking back to find her parents smiling at her, both looking as young and healthy as their twenties. "Mom, Dad!" Twilight called as she rushed to give them a hug, which they returned happily. "You didn't think we'd miss this, did you?" Night Light asked as he rubbed his daughter's back with tears. "Oh, Twilight," Twilight Velvet began through her own tears, "I can't tell you how proud we are of you." Twilight leaned up to plant a kiss on Twilight's forehead. Twilight Sparkle's tears soaked her cheeks as she smiled at her family. "I wish there was some way to bring you all back," Twilight said shakily. "You know everything has its time, honey," Night said as he caressed her cheek. "I know, but-" the blue hoof of her father silenced twilight. "Now, Twilight," Night began. "Don't dwell on the past. Look at what you have to look forward to," he said as he pointed to Cadence. Twilight looked over to Cadence, who smiled at her while standing next to her late husband. "You have a wife who loves you as much as we all love you." Night pulled Twilight's chin to look at him. "And you are carrying her foal. I can promise you; we know you'll be a great mother." Twilight smiled through tears of joy. "Now, go and live the bright future that's no doubt ahead of you." Night planted a kiss on Twilight's nose. "And remember, we will always be there to love and guide you." All of Twilight's friends and family began to glow as Twilight and Cadence were pulled closer together, and they were engulfed in bright and warm light. Soon after, the light faded, and they found themselves breaking the wedding kiss to the sound of a screaming crowd of Discord while Flurry Heart took off and flew so fast, she created another Sonic Rainboom. Twilight and Cadence smiled into each other's eyes as the tears they shed were still staining their cheeks. Cadence reached up and whipped a tear from Twilight's cheek before kissing her again. "I love you, Twilight Sparkle." "I love you too, Cadence Sparkle," Twilight replied as she hugged her new wife. "Cadence Sparkle?" Cadence asked with a smile. "I like the sound of that." She pulled Twilight into another deep kiss. > Chapter IX: The celebration > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- After the brides' sealed their unions, one of the Discords' snapped his eagle claw to make the crowd vanish while making the two dragons shrink to his size as he made a few tables stacked with the finest meals for all of them. On one of the tables stood a cake with the sun and the moon on either side of it, each highlighted with the night and day skies' colors, respectively. Atop the cake stood two figures designed to look like Luna and Celestia nuzzling each other. On the other stood a cake, decorated in a mix of pink and lavender with a blue heart over a six-point star. Two figures of Twilight and Cadence stood atop this cake in the same manner as the other cake. Celestia, Luna, Twilight, and Cadence looked at what Discord did for them as Flurry landed from her Sonic Rainboom. All five alicorns smiled at Discord's kind gesture while Spike and Ember looked at themselves in confusion. "Uh, what just happened?" Ember asked as she looked at her claws. "How else will you two be able to join us for the celebration?" Discord asked as he appeared between them. "You could've at least warned us first, Discord," Spike observed as he rolled his eyes. "Oh, admit it, Spike," Discord said as he swirled around Spike's hips before slithering up to smiling into Spike's eyes. "You miss the days when I would just snap my claws together, and we'd appear as completely different creatures." Spike could not help but smirk at the draconaquus. "Glad to know you haven't changed, you old snake," Spike observed. "Old?" Discord said from the other side of Spike as a skeleton version of himself. "Who's old? I know you're not talking about me." As Discord raised a boney arm, it fell off his shoulder with a crack before bouncing on the ground like a bouncing ball. "Oops." Spike could not help but chuckle at Discords' endless need to crack jokes with his magic. "C'mon, you two," Ember piped up. "Today's all about Twilight's wedding." Ember offered the lavender alicorn a smile. Since Spike's first visit to the Dragon Lands so long ago, Twilight and Ember began building a friendship that would stand the test of time. The two would share information about their respective countries and lifestyles, which Twilight would use to help educate her subjects about their relations to the dragons as Ember would train her dragons to be nice to their pony allies. Twilight smiled at Ember as the blue dragon extended a claw out to her. Twilight walked up with cadence by her side toward Ember, who took Twilight's hoof and helped her into a seat by the table. Discord followed suit with Celestia and Luna to their table. Flurry would take a seat next to Twilight as Spike and Ember took their own seats at a third table while Discord began prepping plates with forks for the cakes while clones of himself would offer the two couples each a knife. "Will the brides be naughty or nice?" Discord asked as he handed the knives to the four brides. Celestia and Luna to their knife while Twilight and Cadence took theirs as Discord reverted to a single draconaquus sitting with the dragons. The brides began cutting their cakes while all the others watched. With the first pieces of each cake now placed on a plate, all stopped to watch Celestia and Luna smiling at each other. "Ooh!" Discord beamed as he flashed into a film director's outfit with a camera in hand while watching the former princesses. "This is gonna be good!" Twilight rolled her eyes before she looked at her mentor, who was smiling at her new wife as she picked up a piece of the cake and raised it to Luna's lips. While Celestia held a piece of the cake to Luna's lips, Luna did the same for Celestia as she opened her mouth. The couple slowly moved their piece of cake to the other's open mouth as they smiled into each other's eyes until the piece Celestia held reach Luna's tongue. Luna closed her lips over Celestia's magic just as she smirked and used her magic to shove her piece of cake in Celestia's muzzle. "Naughty and nice!" Spike laughed. Twilight watched with a smile as they all laughed at the smudge of chocolate on Celestia's face. "You know I'm gonna get you for that, Luna," Celestia chuckled as Luna wiped off the cake from her wife's face with a napkin in her magic. "I'm sure you will, my wife," Luna replied with a bright smile. They chuckled at each other before leaning in and pecked each other's lips. After their moment to shine, they smiled at Twilight and Cadence, who looked at each other with warm smiles as they each picked up a piece of their cake in their magic. Flurry, Discord, Spike, Ember, Celestia, and Luna all watched in anticipation with smiles on their faces as Twilight and Cadence raised their pieces of cake to the other's open mouths. Would they be naughty, night, or both? Slowly, the cake would reach their lips as they smiled into each other's eyes until the cake touched their tongues. They both closed their lips around the cake as they both leaned in towards each other and locked their lips into a deep kiss. Flurry beamed brightly as she watched with such elation; it took all of her energy to keep from jumping into another Sonic Rainboom. After a minute, Cadence and Twilight broke their kiss to smile into each other's eyes. "You look good in that outfit, Twilight," Cadence complimented, earning a blush from her new wife. "And you look as amazing as you did the last time you wore that dress," Twilight replied, earning a smile from her bride, who nuzzled her nose. "I think you both look amazing in those clothes and naked," Flurry interjected, earning a surprised look from her mothers' as they blinked. "What?" Flurry asked with a shrugging smile. "I can't help it if I think mares are beautiful." "Is there something you want to tell us, sweetie?" Twilight asked with a smile. "No, mom," Flurry answered with a smile as she turned up her nose. "I'm not hiding the fact I'm a filly-fooler." Cadence chuckled. "I figured that out since the tenth stallion who expressed genuine interest in you," Cadence observed with a loving smile. "I guess it's understandable why I didn't pick up on that," Twilight observed with a blushing smile before Flurry planted a kiss on Twilight's cheek, making the lavender alicorn blink as she looked at Flurry, who only smiled at Twilight. Cadence watched the both of them with a smile on her face. "Enough of the mushy stuff!" Discord interjected as he appeared as one of the cake toppers. "Let's eat!" He snapped his Bearpaw/fingers, and the cakes were all cut up into serving slices for everyone there. "Discord!" Celestia cried out in frustration. "Let him have his fun, my love," Luna interjected as she took Celestia's hoof in her own. "It is, after all, a day of celebration. It's not every day you see four alicorns get married." Celestia smiled at Luna as she held her hoof in her own. "You're right, my dear," Celestia agreed. "I'm still gonna curse his ass for giving momma Twilight such a scare earlier," Flurry piped up, making Discord shrink with a horrified look on his muzzle as he shrunk. "Flurry Heart!" Cadence barked as she glared at Flurry. "Watch your mouth!" "Mom, I'm not a filly anymore," Flurry countered. "Let it go, you two," Twilight interjected. "This is our wedding day. Let's enjoy it." "You're right, Twilight," Cadence agreed as she took a breath before smiling at her wife. Twilight smiled back at Cadence as she leaned into peck her lips. The group spent the next hour munching and mingling as they enjoyed the evening. Twilight stood and illuminated her horn with her purple magic to lower the sun as she raised the moon after eating. "Time for the best part of any wedding!" Discord chimed as he snapped his eagle claws and appeared as a DJ behind a turntable. "Let's watch as our happy couples join us on the dance floor!" Discord slipped on a set of headphones as he started a record of Twilight when she sang "Love Is In Bloom" for Cadence and Shining Armor's wedding. Twilight's heart sank as she heard her young voice singing for that wedding while Cadence took her hoof and guided her to the dance floor Discord created with his magic. Celestia and Luna joined in with the other couple as the music played. The four danced with each other alone for the duration of the first song while they smiled tearfully into each other's eyes. Spike, Ember, and Flurry all watched with smiles on their faces as the married couples shared a tender yet fun moment with each other. "And now it's time for our guests to cut in!" Discord announced as the music changed to a more slow-paced tone. "Anyone wishing to steal a moment with any of the brides, please line up now!" A clone of Discord appeared as Spike and Ember got up from their seats. Flurry was already on her way to Cadence and Twilight, tapping on Cadence's shoulder with a smile. "May I cut in?" Flurry asked her mother in a noble tone as she bowed her head. "You may indeed, my dear," Cadence answered with a giggle as she stepped away. Flurry smiled at Twilight as she stepped up. Twilight smiled at Flurry as they took each other's hooves and began to dance to the music. "How are you enjoying your wedding, momma Twilight?" Flurry asked softly. "It feels rushed, but I couldn't be happier," Twilight answered with a smile. Flurry blushed as she smiled into Twilight's eyes. "Twilight," Flurry began. "I know you're my aunt and all, but I have to be honest," she bit her lower lip as she blushed while Twilight watched her. "What is it, sweetie?" Twilight asked as she tilted her head. "Well," Flurry hummed. "I'm upset I didn't buck up the courage to ask you before mom did." Flurry blushed as she spoke. "What do you mean?" Twilight asked. Flurry looked into Twilight's eyes. "I was planning on asking you to marry me before mom told me she was going to ask you," Flurry explained softly. Twilight blinked as she looked into Flurry's eyes. She could see Flurry was candid with what she was saying. "I know you're my aunt, and you've been like a mother to me ever since I've known you. I know it would've been hard with us leading two different nations and being blood-related, but I don't care. I love you, Twilight." Twilight stared into Flurry's eyes in disbelief. Cadence watched the two from a distance before Spike got her attention to ask her to dance. "Flurry, I-" Twilight began. "I know," Flurry interjected as she tore her eyes away from Twilight. Twilight pulled Flurry's chin up to look her in the eyes. "You really feel that way about me?" Twilight asked. Flurry only nodded in reply before she opened her lips. "Don't get me wrong," Flurry said. "I truly am happy for you and mom. I can think of no one else better as my second mother." "Flurry," Twilight began. "It's okay," Flurry interjected with a smile. "I won't get in the way." "Flurry," Cadence called as she walked up to the two, getting them both to look up at her. "You were going to ask Twilight to marry you?" Flurry nodded with a furious blush. "Why didn't you tell me?" "Because you told me you were going to ask her," Flurry answered. "I didn't want to get in the way of that." Cadence pulled Flurry into a warm hug. Twilight watched them for a second before a smile formed on her face. "Why don't we?" Twilight asked, getting her new wife and daughter to look at her curiously. "Why don't we all get married?" Twilight looked at Celestia and Luna, who watched the scene unfold as the music died down slowly. Spike and Ember watched with intrigue as Discord's eyes hovered over the group. "All of us?" Twilight asked again. "All alicorns, together? As wives to each other. Damn what others say or think about it. I love all of you! I always have!" Celestia and Luna looked at each other. "A marriage of five alicorns?" Celestia asked. "Celestia!" Twilight called as she rushed up to the alabaster alicorn. "You took me in as a filly and practically raised me, even after I became a princess." Celestia smiled at the wonderful memories. "Luna, when you tried getting back into society, I stood by your side! I never gave up on you, even when things looked hopeless!" Luna blushed as she remembered that first Nightmare Night since Twilight and her friends freed her from that dreadful curse. "Flurry!" Twilight turned to the youngest alicorn. "You said it yourself! I was basically your second mother when you were growing up! We've all been there for each other over the years, and we've never grown apart!" Spike found himself shedding a tear as he watched the alicorn who raised him since he hatched. "Why not go above and beyond? Let's all get married together!" Twilight smiled at all of the alicorns as they found themselves smiling at Twilight and her ambitious idea. After a minute of silence, Celestia began to walk up to Twilight with a proud smile that rivaled all proud smiles. "Twilight Sparkle," Celestia began as she took one of Twilight's hooves in her own. "I have always been proud of you when you were growing up, and I've loved you since you became my student. I would be honored to call you, Cadence, and Flurry my wives as I now call Luna my wife." "As would I," Luna called with a smile of her own as she stepped beside Celestia. Twilight looked at Cadence, who only inclined her head with a tearful smile of joy. Then Twilight looked at Flurry, who stood there with tear-stained cheeks. "Flurry?" Twilight asked in concern before Flurry rushed up and pulled Twilight into a deep kiss, catching the lavender princess off guard. Flurry held the kiss for a minute before she looked into Twilight's eyes. "Let's do this!" Flurry declared proudly. > Chapter X: The Tea Party > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Back at Canterlot Castle, Twilight sat on her throne as she signed a few scrolls with a smile on her face and a slight bulge in her belly. Her cheeks were so sore she could not feel them anymore after the events of last month. So much had happened in such a short amount of time. First, Cadence shows up with an invite to Celestia and Luna's wedding. Then she proposed to Twilight. Then they all got married. Flurry Heart admitted her feelings for Twilight. All of this happened in under a week, and Twilight could not be any happier. "How are things going, honey?" Cadence called as she walked to the throne. Twilight looked at her wife with a smile after she finished writing on a scroll. "Everything's going great," Twilight answered as she made the scroll vanish. "Every creature has been notified about the public announcement." "Are you expecting a crowd?" Cadence asked as she nuzzled Twilight's neck. Twilight leaned into her wife's touch with a smile on her face. "It's something that affects all of Equestria," Twilight answered as she nuzzled Cadence's neck. "At least the dignitaries will show up." Cadence reached a hoof up and rubbed Twilight's belly. "Mommy's not overworking herself, is she?" Cadence said in a baby-talk voice, making Twilight giggle. "You know it's not developed enough to understand anything, right?" Twilight observed as she watched Cadence with a smile. "Momma doesn't care," Cadence replied as she leaned down and nuzzled Twilight's slightly swollen belly. "Momma's still gonna love you." Cadence pecked kisses on the side of Twilight's belly, making her giggle as she watched her wife love on their unborn child. "Cadence," Twilight groaned as she giggled. Cadence looked at Twilight from her belly while wagging her tail. "Yes, darling mother of my babies?" Cadence asked as she fluttered her eyelashes. "Is Flurry going to be here tonight?" Twilight asked through a light giggle fit. "Well, thanks to the portals we all made with Discord's help, we all can share our nights whenever we want and still live the lives we want," Cadence observed as she moved to nuzzle Twilight's neck. The night Twilight suggested all the alicorns take each other to wives was spent talking to each other on making such a complicated union more manageable along with Spike, Ember, and Discord, as they brainstormed about teleportation ideas. "I don't think we could come up with the idea if Discord hadn't reminded me about the portal to that other world," Twilight observed as she turned to nuzzler her wife. "Twilight, honey," Cadence interjected as she nuzzled Twilight's cheek. "You were one of the most gifted unicorns in all of Equestria. You fought through thick and thin with your friends and family and became Princess of Equestria. Surely you, above all ponies, could up with a spell that could allow your family to come and visit you whenever you pleased." Cadence pecked Twilight's cheek. "I'm not that great," Twilight countered with a blush. "And modest," Cadence added with a smile before pecking Twilight's lips. "It's one of the reasons why I love you so much." Twilight smiled into Cadence's eyes. "I love you too," Twilight said as she returned a kiss. Twilight rested her horn against Cadences as she closed her eyes as Cadence did the same thing. "Come on," Cadence said as she pulled her head up. "Flurry will want us to be waiting for her when she arrives." Twilight inclined her head before she began walking with Cadence out of the court hall. They walked through the halls of the castle side-by-side, greeting some guards as they walked with warm smiles. Since Twilight became Princess of Equestria, the royal guard began inducting new races into their ranks, from ponies to changelings, to dragons; you name it, they were there. Twilight knew that if she accepted all other races as her trusted guard, it would help build trust amongst the different races, even after all creatures of Equestria united against Queen Chrysalis, Cosey Glow, and Tirek that fateful day the Windigoes returned. One of her first captains was a gryphon named Gallus, who attended her School of Friendship when it was first founded. Even though Gallus is long gone, his legacy remains. Soon, Twilight and Cadence reached the royal bed chambers, where Twilight used her magic to open the door and let her wife walk in first as she followed. The room seemed to be filled with more life since Twilight and Cadence got married over a month ago. The two alicorns made immediate arrangements to have Cadence move in, and she brought many of her belongings from the Crystal Palace and decorated the room with them. Even her dress stood proudly alongside the suite both Shining Armor and Twilight were for their weddings. Amongst all the additions to the bed, one that stood out was a mirror in the corner of the room. The frame was white with a symbol of Celestia's Cutie Mark in the top right corner, Luna's at the top left, Cadence's dawned the bottom left, and Flurry Heart's at the bottom left. At the top in the center of the frame stood Twilight's Cutie Mark, overlooking all of them. In all of Equestria, there were only three mirrors like this. The other two were at Silver Shoals and the Crystal Palace, respectively, but with slightly different designs. Like this one, they all had white frames. However, in Celestia and Luna's room, their respective Cutie Marks were snuggled side-by-side at the top, with Twilight's and Cadence's at the center-right and Flurry's on the left. In the Crystal Palace, within Flurry's bed chambers, her Cutie Mark was at the top with Celestia and Luna's on the center-left, with Twilight and Cadence's Cutie Marks on the right. Just as the door to Twilight's chambers closed and locked, Flurry's Cutie Mark on the mirror began to glow with the mirror. Twilight and Cadence stood beside each other as they smiled at the mirror. The reflection began to ripple like water as the figure of an alicorn stepped out of the mirror. Flurry looked around until she spotted her mother's and smiled brightly. "Hey, moms!" Flurry called as she rushed up and hugged the other alicorns. Twilight and Cadence returned the hug with warms smiles. "It's wonderful to see you, sweetie," Flurry replied. "We're glad you could make it," Cadence added. They broke from the hug to smile at each other. "As if I'd miss this for the world," Flurry smiled at them. "Is the courtyard filled yet?" "I made sure to give us plenty of time alone," Twilight answered with a smile. Flurry smirked at the answer before her eyes spotted the bed, which was large enough for five full-grown alicorns. Cadence walked around and smacked Flurry's rump. "I know that look," Cadence observed with a smirk of her own. "What?" Flurry asked with a knowing smile. "Why don't we have some tea first?" Cadence suggested. "Celestia and Luna won't be far behind." "I've got it," Twilight said as her horn began to shine in a purple aura. In a flash of Twilight's magic, a tea table with a full tea set appeared in the room's center. "Magic has its uses, but it's times like this I miss my number one assistant." Cadence walked up and draped a wing over Twilight's back as she could tell Twilight was hiding some tears. Twilight smiled at her wife before they nuzzled each other. "Thank you, honey." "It's what I'm here for," Cadence cooed. At that moment, the mirror began to glow again, getting all three alicorns' attention as Celestia stepped through with Luna behind. Twilight, Cadence, and Flurry all smiled at the two eldest unicorns. "You're just in time," Twilight said happily. "I just set the tea-table." "That's my girl," Celestia observed as she walked up. "Making sure we have time to relax before the event." "You know me," Twilight said with a blush. "Always organized." Celestia walked up and pulled Twilight into a deep kiss, which surprised Twilight before she leaned into the kiss with a murr while Cadence, Flurry, and Luna watched with smiles on their muzzles. Celestia broke the kiss after a minute, leaving Twilight in a dazed state for a few seconds before opening her eyes. "Damn, Celestia," Twilight breathed. "She's had plenty of practice," Luna stated as she walked up before pulling Twilight into an equally deep and mesmerizing kiss. Celestia watched with a smile as her wife made out with her former pupil. Luna broke the kiss as she licked her lips as Twilight stood there for a few seconds before stumbling a step. "Damn," Twilight studdered. "Alright, that's enough," Cadence said as she took Twilight's side and guided her to one of the five seats around the tea-table. The others took their seats by the table as Twilight regained herself in her seat. "I think you put our princess out of commission for a minute," Cadence observed with a smile as she sat in the seat next to Twilight. "I'm fine," Twilight stuttered as she shook her head. "Should I kiss our princess back to reality?" Flurry asked with a smirk. "Settle down, you silly filly," Cadence ordered with a chuckle. "What?" Flurry asked with a bit of a start. "You all get her sweet lips, and I don't?" Twilight suddenly appeared in a flash next to Flurry and pulled her into a deep yet quick kiss before flashing back to her seat, catching the youngest alicorn by surprise. The other three looked at Twilight, who only smiled innocently as she began pouring cups of tea for all of them. "One sugar or two?" Twilight asked as she levitated a cup to Celestia. Celestia smiled at the lavender alicorn. "Two, please," Celestia answered. "Guess our kisses didn't stun you as much as you lead us to believe," Celestia observed as she watched Twilight drop two cubes of sugar into the cup. "Oh, they did," Twilight said before turning to another cup. "But, only for a minute. One or two, Luna?" "One," Luna said with a smile. Twilight dropped a cube into her cup. "Six, please!" Flurry called with a smile after recovering from the initial shock of Twilight's surprise kiss. "Oh, no, you don't, missy," Cadence interjected. "You're already too sweet for even one lump." Twilight chuckled as she dropped six cubes of sugar into Flurry's cup. "Twilight!" Cadence cried out. "This is a special occasion, Cady," Twilight said. Cadence looked at Flurry, who began to drink her tea like a well-trained mare. Cadence looked at Twilight, who took Cadence's hoof in her own with a smile. "It'll be fine, love," Twilight assured Cadence with a smile. Cadence smiled as she tightened her hoof around Twilight's. They all enjoyed their share of tea as they mingled about the events of the last month before Celestia looked at Twilight with some concern. "Twilight?" Cadence called, getting Twilight to look at her. "Are you sure you want to go through with this?" Luna looked at Celestia for a moment before looking at Twilight. Cadence and Flurry looked at Twilight as well. "What do you mean?" Twilight asked as she put her teacup on the table. Twilight already knew the answer; she just wanted Celestia to voice her concerns. "About all of us," Celestia answered as she watched Twilight. "All five of us, together in such a way." All four alicorns watched Twilight as she sat there silently for a minute. "Out of all my friends," Twilight began, "my family, you five are the only ones I have left." Twilight lowered her eyes to the table. "You all have been there for me since I lost the others." They all stared at Twilight as a tear fell to her chin. "When they all left me, I was filled with so much despair; I almost gave up." Twilight started trembling before she looked at Celestia. "You reminded me how you'd been there since the day I got my Cutie Mark." Twilight looked at Luna. "You helped me as much as I helped you when we freed you from Nightmare Moon." Twilight turned to Flurry. "I've known you your whole life. And you," Twilight began as she turned to Cadence. "You don't have to say anything else, Twilight," Cadence interjected as she pulled Twilight into a warm embrace with tears of her own. "We've all lost ponies we loved." Twilight trembled as she leaned into her wife's hug. Celestia got up and walked around the table toward Twilight and joined in the hug with her own tears. Luna and Flurry got up and joined in the hug. The warmth and love Twilight felt from each of these alicorns pushed her over the limit, and she broke into sobs. Twilight cried aloud into Cadence's shoulder as they all hugged her warmly. As Twilight cried, none of the others dared let go of her as if they were terrified that if they did, they would lose Twilight for good. They all have experienced loss like this before, so if anyone understood Twilight's pain, it would be them. Celestia suffered many losses over the millennia. Luna was only one of many she lost, but after centuries of waiting, Luna returned to her, and their bond only grew stronger since. Luna not only lost herself to Nightmare Moon, but she lost a close friend she cared about deeply, one she felt understood her more than any pony in Equestria. Even young Flurry lost her father and many crystal ponies she cared about over the years. After several minutes of Twilight crying into Cadence's shoulder, Twilight lifted her head as she wiped away her tears. "Thank you," Twilight said through a sniffle. "Thank you all." They all offered soft smiles as they watched her. Twilight looked at Celestia with determination. "Yes, Celestia. I am absolutely certain about this. I want you all to be my family. I want you all to be mine, and I want to be yours." Twilight stood up and looked at them all. "I want us all to be married."
