Twilight must save Principal Celestia with help from new friends
An ancient evil has awaken and has kidnapped Principal Celestia. Can Twilight save her principal with help from Shine Boy and Chetchecki Chan Gecko? Or is the world doomed in eternal darkness?
This is based on a dream I had. Featuring My OC Shine Boy and Chetchecki Chan Gecko, OC of BozzerKazooers, used with permission
It was a peaceful night in the city of Canterlot. But in her home, Principal Celestia was stirring in her sleep because of a bad dream.
She was surrounded by a mysterious fog. As she walked about, she noticed she was dressed in a formal gown and she could hear the echo of her steps as the floor began to have puddles.
“Where am I?” She wondered. “And why am I dressed like this?”
“You belong to me know!” Said a mysterious voice.
Before Celestia could ask, a giant hand merged from the darkness and grabbed her by her midsection. She struggled to get free, but the figure was too strong.
“No! Help me!” She cried.
“There is nothing that can stop me now!” Chucked the being.
“Hang on!”
“We’re coming!”
Suddenly, two figures came out of nowhere and each grabbed an arm of Celestia. She couldn’t see who it was, but could make out one that looked like a teen wearing a cape and the other one was smaller wearing a coat and fedora. They tried really hard to free Celestia only for the being to blast a wave at them, sending them flying and sinking into the dark like it was quicksand.
“No!” Celestia cried.
“How the mighty have fallen!” Bellowed the being. “ Soon every bit of light will be extinguished!”
The being laughed evilly as it watched Celestia sink in his hand as she effortlessly struggled to get free.
“No. No. NOOO!”
Celestia woke up suddenly sweating as she sat in her bed, panting.
Just then, Luna opened the door while wearing a night blue robe. “Sister! I heard screaming. Are you alright?”
“Yeah. Yeah I’m fine, Luna.” Celestia sighed. “Just a bad dream.”
“This is the third night in a row you woke up like this. Are you sure you’re alright?”
“I don’t know. Maybe I’ve been working too hard.” Celestia explained.
“Perhaps” Luna said
“At any rate, I need to get back to sleep. Tomorrow I’ll be checking out that new exhibit at the museum tomorrow to plan a field trip for the class.”
“Alright. Good night, Celestia” Luna said as she left the room, yawning.
No sooner had Luna went back to bed, Celestia quietly got out of bed and looked out her window to see the peaceful night air.
Looks peaceful enough, but I feel there’s chaos, she thought, ever since the fall formal We’ve been having trouble wherever it lies. And who were those two who tried to save me
With that, she got back in her bed and went back to sleep.
The following morning, at the Canterlot High statue, Twilight Sparkle was waiting for some one when suddenly someone came through the portal to Equestria on the Statue.
It was a humanoid Gecko who wore a trench coat and a fedora and on his belt carried two katana blades. It was Chetgeki Chan Gecko, Chet to his friends, a friend of twilight’s counterpart from Equestria. Not long ago, twilight’s friend, Sunset Shimmer, had to come back to Equestria to help Princess Twilight with a situation. It was there that Twilight introduced her to Chet and after helping with the situation, Sunset promised to show Chet around their world sometime. Unfortunately, Sunset, as well as most of her friends, had work to do. Twilight, being the only one available, volunteered to show Chet around.
“Hi there” greeted Twilight. “You must be Chetgeki Chan Gecko, right?”
“Please just call me Chet” Chet smiled while bowing. “And you are the Twilight Sparkle of this world?”
“That’s right.” Twilight exclaimed. “Sunset sends her regards.”
“Of course” smiled Chet.
“Though it’s curious about why you didn’t transform”
“That puzzles me too” answered Chet, Looking all over himself. “From what your counterpart and Starlight Glimmer told me, I thought I’d turn into a.....human, right?”
“That’s right.”
“Hmmm. Maybe the magic of the portal doesn’t affect my kind. Or maybe it’s something else.”
“Well. Nonetheless, we’ll have to get you a disguise so no one freaks out from the sight of you.”
“And then You’ll give me that tour?” Chet asked.
Twilight nodded. “You got it. But we better hurry before anyone sees you. We’ll head to my place and get you a disguise as well as bring Spike along. He was still fast asleep so I decided to let him sleep a little bit longer.”
“Lead the way” smiled Chet. And the two head out.
Not long after the two left, on a nearby bus stop, a bus was dropping off some passengers. One was a teenage boy who was wearing a white shirt with a turtle shell on it, a grey sweater, blue pants, and a red cap and he was talking on his phone.
“Yeah I’m sorry you couldn’t come with me to Canterlot too, Serenity. Yeah. I tell you what. I’ll bring you a souvenir. And hopefully, you can come with next time as well as the others. Well the bus just dropped me off so I better go now. I love you too.”
The boy kissed his phone before hanging up and looking around.
So this is Canterlot, he thought, looks peaceful enough but something feels dormant. I’m beginning to understand why Master Zion asked me to look into it. I just need to find my way around here.
“Excuse me. You’re a new face. Can I help ya?”
The boy turned to see another teenage boy around his age with blue hair and a leather jacket.
“Yes. Yes I am. I just got here and I need to find my way around here.”
“Then allow me to show you around. By the way, my name is Flash Sentry. What’s yours?”
“Tony. Tony Bedding. It’s nice to meet you Flash.”
After the two shook hands, Tony grabbed his backpack and followed Flash as he showed him around.
After stopping by Twilights house and picking up Spike and giving Chet a cloth for a disguise, Twilight showed Chet around from Canterlot High school to the mall and other places. Of course, some people passing by couldn’t help but take a brief look at the cloaked figure following Twilight but shrugged it off. After much sightseeing, the duo stopped by the restaurant Pinkie worked at for some lunch.
“What an interesting diner” Chet said, looking around.
“So how are you enjoying your stay?” Twilight asked
“It was exactly how Your counterpart and Starlight told me.” Chet explained. “It reminds me of when we visited the four realms that one time. There are similarities and so many things to learn from here.”
Twilight smiled as Pinkie arrived at their table. “Hey Twilight. And you must be Chet. Just thought I’d say welcome and nice to meet you.”
“And you must be Pinkie Pie”
“That’s me. So what can I get you two to drink?”
“We’ll have two iced teas.”
“Right Away! Oh by the way, Twilight, you should read this article.”
As Pinkie zoomed to get their drinks, she drops a newspaper in front of Twilight who takes it and reads it.
“New exhibit at the museum. Now in display.”
Twilight was silent with a surprised look on her face as Chet grabbed the paper.
“Huh. Looks interesting.” Chet looked over to Twilight who hadn’t moved an inch. “Uh, Twilight?”
Spike sighed as he popped up from Twilights bag. “She always does this when the museum gets new exhibits.”
“Oh my gosh! Ohmygoshohmygosh! We’ve got to check it out!” Twilight cheered before realizing what they were about to do. “Right after lunch.”
“It’s all right.” Chet smiled. “I’m curious too. This does look interesting.”
Twilight smiled as Pinkie returned with their ice teas.
Meanwhile, just outside the mall, Tony was enjoying a smoothie with his new friend Flash Sentry.
“Thanks for paying for the smoothie.” He said.
“No problem” Flash answered. “It’s just too bad you couldn’t try it when Applejack worked there. She made some great smoothies. But I think Bulk Biceps is getting better.”
“Either way it’s delicious” Tony said.
Flash then looked at his watch. “Whoa! I gotta get going! I have guitar practice in a bit. You think you’ll be okay from here?”
“I should be fine after everything you showed me. It was nice to meet you, Flash.”
“Back at ya! See you later, Tony!”
As Flash left, Tony continued to walk the streets and enjoy his smoothie until he arrived outside the museum. After he discarded his cup in the trash can, he looked at the museum and decided to look into it. As he did, he noticed a teenage girl who was with a small cloaked guy walking in.
That’s weird, he thought but It feels like he won’t harm anyone.
Nevertheless, Tony shrugged as he entered the museum.
After finding the new exhibit, Twilight and Chet looked around before noticing a tablet which showed an illustration of a creature that looked like a giant shadow. Chet found the description and read from it.
“The illustration of the entity known as the Dream Eater. Legend states that this being could feed off the dreams of mortals.”
Spike poked out of Twilight’s bag. “And I thought Gaia Everfree was creepy.”
Twilight and Chet continued to look around when they came across a familiar face.
“Principal Celestia! What are you doing here?”
Celestia turned and smiled at the two. “Well. I should have known you’d be interested in this exhibit, Twilight. And who’s your friend?”
“I am Chetgeki Chan Gecko, madam. But you can call me Chet.” Chet said as he took off his hood. “I am a friend of Princess Twilight in Equestria.”
Celestia smiled at the gecko. “And any friend of Twilight, Princess or student, is a friend of mine. I was looking at the exhibit and seeing about planning a school trip here. And I thought I’d check out the exhibit.”
“Anything interesting?” Chet asked.
“Here’s what I learned. Many years ago, three witches who lived in a volcano used a spell to bring the Dream Eater into our world in hopes to control it. But then it turned on them, with it’s own ambition to conquer the world.”
“Well it’s safe to say it failed, right?” Twilight asked.
“Legend has it that a smart medicine woman brought two adventurers together and they defeated the Dream Eater. But before the final blow was struck, the Dream Eater escaped into another realm, vowing to return. The medicine woman used her own concoction of a spell to seel the portal so the Dream Eater would never return.”
Celestia then took the two to what appeared to be a doorway. Unknown to them, Tony was watching and listening to everything. He followed them.
“It is said that only one who the Dream Eater May find to be a suitable bride for him can reopen the portal.”
Twilight shivered. “I haven’t felt this afraid since Midnight Sparkle.”
Celestia chuckled. “Twilight. It’s only a legend.”
Chet turned and saw someone nearby. “ looks like we’re not alone.”
Twilight and Celestia looked to see their stalker who was just a teenage boy.
“Why hello there. You’re a new face.” Celestia greeted.
“Sorry if I scared you. I couldn’t help overheard you talk about the legend. And yes I am new to your town. I’m Tony Bedding.”
“Nice to meet you, Tony, I’m Twilight Sparkle. And this is Principal Celestia from my school. And this is my friend, Chetgeki Chan Gecko.”
“Please, just call me Chet.”
“It is nice to meet you all”
“So, who’s up for refreshments?” Celestia asked, unknowingly touching a side of the doorway.
As her hand touched it, the doorway started to glow light purple which got everyone’s attention. Then suddenly, through the doorway, what looked like a portal appeared.
“What’s going on?” Twilight cried.
Suddenly, as if answering her question, and a hand came through and immediately grabbed Celestia.
“What the- Let go of me! Help!” She cried as the hand pulled her in.
Chet and Tony both grabbed a hand of Celestia and tried to pull her back. Unknown to them, Twilight was helping with her levitation abilities. But all three couldn’t help as they lost their grips and watched helplessly as Celestia was pulled in the void.
“Principal Celestia! What are we gonna do?” Twilight panicked.
“We have to get her!” Chet declared.
“I’ll get help!” Tony cried as he hurried away.
“I’m afraid we cannot wait for him to return. We have to go after her.”
“You sure you wanna do this?” Twilight asked.
“I never backed down on a friend. It is my warrior and friendship way.” Chet said.
Twilight nodded. “Okay. But I’m coming with you. She is my principal after all.”
“No ones stopping you” Chet answered. Then the two entered the portal.
Unknown to them, when Tony went to get help, he was actually finding a place to hide so he could take a key and opened the locket on his backpack which converted into a small wardrobe compartment. Changing into the outfit, Tony was now Shine Boy!
He wore a red shirt with a star insignia with the initials S, H, and B in it, black pants, a white and yellow utility belt, white boots with thrusters on the back, a white cape, and a white mask with a red triangle in the middle. Shine Boy pushed a button, converting his compartment into his backpack and jumped into the portal just before it closed.
After entering the portal, Twilight, Chet, and Spike looked around to see what appeared to be a dark hallway with the only light being lit candles.
“Where are we?” Chet said looking around.
“This must be the Dimension of the Dream Eater! The one he escaped into years ago!” Gasped Twilight.
Spike shivered. “I really gotta stop watching those horror movies before bedtime.”
Chet looked ahead and saw Two shadowy figures carrying Principal Celestia who was struggling to get free. “Look! There they are!”
“Principal Celestia!” Cried Twilight.
Celestia looked up. “Twilight? Chet!”
Chet drew his katana blades out and pointed at the figures. “I demand you to release the female this instant!”
But before he could give chase, two more Shadow figures suddenly appeared in front of him.
“You are in no position for demands!” Growled one.
“Our Master demands destruction to all intruders!” Hissed the other one.
Suddenly, more figures appear, surrounded the trio.
“No!” Celestia cried, still struggling.
“Let us take her to the alter!” One of the creatures hissed as they continued to take her away.
Wasting no words, Chet began to battle the figures. Thanks to the magic of his katana blades, he was a match for these things. As some began to near Twilight, she was able to repel them using her magic geode power. But no matter how many they defeat, more keep coming and soon it didn’t look like they were making progress.
“There’s too many!” Spike cried as he held Twilight’s leg.
“Oh I wish the girls were here!” Whimpered Twilight.
“I hope I can hold out till something happens.” Panted Chet.
Then, as if answering his question, a sphere came out of nowhere near the portal and suddenly, it released a blinding light which blinded them. When Chet and Twilight regained their sight, they saw another person fighting the figures. The boy wore a mask, red shirt, white cape, and black pants and he had a staff which he used to battle the shadow figures. Chet eyeballed this newcomer.
He seems to be a warrior on our side, he thought.
As a couple of figures tried to ambush the new guy, Chet jumped in and slashed them up before they could touch him and soon, the two were fighting together.
Not long, the figures had stopped coming and the two put their weapons away and, along with Twilight, faced each other.
“Are you guys okay?” Asked the warrior.
“We’re fine, but they got away with Principal Celestia” sighed Twilight
“Thank you for the assistance, friend” Chet said while bowing in respect. “Tell us what is your name?”
“I am Shine Boy. The talented defender.”
“I am Chetgeki Chan Gecko. But you can call me Chet.”
“I’m Twilight Sparkle and this is my dog, Spike.”
“Hiya”
“Giant geckos and talking dogs? And I thought I’d seen it all.” Shine Boy chuckled.
“Your taking this rather well.” Twilight said nervously.
“When you’re a superhero like me, you learned to expect the unexpected.” Shine Boy answered.
Chet stepped up. “Shine Boy. I sense you are a warrior of the light of good and we could use your help.”
“Some entity has kidnapped my school principal and we’re trying to save her.” Twilight finished.
“But why would it want your principal?” Shine Boy wondered.
Suddenly, Twilight remembered what Celestia said. “Only the one the Dream Eater would consider a worthy bride can open the door!”
Chet caught on. “Of course! She must’ve touched the portal by mistake and now the Dream Eater wants her as his queen!”
Twilight walked up to Shine Boy. “Shine Boy, I know this is all too much to grasp in, but we could really use your help to save my principal. Please will you help us?”
“Okay.”
Twilight, however, didn’t looked convinced. “PLEASE! How do you claim to be a superhero when- wait? Did you say Okay?”
“Of course! Last time I checked, principals were in my qualified list to rescue. And what kind of hero would I be to turn down a Daring heroic rescue?”
Twilight embraced Shine Boy. “Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.” Shine Boy smiled and then shook hands with Chet, who smiled and accepted his new comrade. The three put their hands together and Shine Boy made a vow. “I promise that we’ll save your principal or die trying!”
“Now then, let’s save Principal Celestia!” Chet declared.
“YEAH!” Everyone declared as they threw their hands up.
“I think I can pick up her trail.” Spike said, sniffing the ground.
“Lead on, Spike!” Twilight smiled as the three followed the dog.
Throughout the dark hallway, Twilight, Chet, and Shine Boy followed Spike as he trailed the whereabouts of Principal Celestia. There seemed to be no end to the empty hallway. then Spike stopped all the sudden.
"That's weird." he said as he sniffed around. "Now I can't pick up the scent."
"Keep trying." Twilight encouraged.
As they waited, Shine Boy noticed the wall they were near showing three figures on there. Each one looked like a woman. One looked like fat with black pigtails. Another looked skinney with red hair so messy that Rarity would faint. The third one, though smaller, looked more menacing.
"Any idea who they are?" Shine Boy asked the group.
Chet pondered. "My guess is that they're the witches who released the dream eater."
Twilight looked closer at what appeared to be hieroglyphs to study. "I'm not familiar with the language, but somehow I can make it out. Let's see....... Rika? Drrrackle? and.....Hydia."
The four looked at each other as they pondered on those names.
"Maybe those are their names?" Spike suggested.
Suddenly, Chet pirked up. "You guys hear that?"
Everyone quieted down. Chet pulled out one of his swords and stabbed a nearby wall. He then he put his ear up to it and listened to it.
"Hmm. It sounds like we're gonna have company." He said.
"You could figure that out by doing that?" Shine Boy asked, pulling out his staff.
"Just a little trick I learned during my training." Chet explained as he pulled out his sword and drew his other blade.
Sure enough, Chet was right. An army of shadow figures were charging at our heroes.
"Death to intruders! Death to intruders!" they were chanting.
With their weapons out, Shine Boy and Chet charged at them. Shine Boy used his staff to trip some of the creatures as well as whack them. Chet charged at a small group of shadow figures and after sword slashing was heard, the group looked like they passed the gecko only to implode as the gecko got up. Twilight used the power of her geode to levitate some shadow creatures and smacking them together when she saw one grab Spike.
"Hands off the dog!" She growled as she levitated the creature up, causing it to release the dog.
"Allow me." Called Chet as he jumped up and slashed the creature.
Spike ran and jumped in Twilight's arms as the four were surrounded by the remaining creatures.
"What do we do now?" Spike panicked.
Shine Boy pulled out what appeared to be an octagon from his utility belt. "Everyone. Duck!"
"Duck?"
"Duck?"
"Goose!" Everyone looked at Spike. "Sorry. been with Pinkie too long."
Everyone got down as Shine Boy through the octagon, which split into a boomerang like device. It sliced the last of the creatures, causing them to explode. Shine Boy caught the boomerang and put it back in his utility belt as everyone got up.
"Nice finish." Chet complimented.
"I gotta hand it to you, Shine Boy, you really are brave" Twilight smiled.
"Thanks" Shine Boy smiled back before putting his hand up. "I'm dating someone else."
"Me too" Twilight answered bluntly.
Spike jumped down and sniffed the ground again. "Hey. I think I smell Principal Celestia!"
"Lead the way, little buddy!" Chet said as they all followed the dog.
not long after, they arrived at two pillars that lead to a big room. Shine Boy hid behind one of the pillars as Chet, Twilight, and Spike hid behind the other. Shine Boy used sign language to communicate to the others,'Friends, I will venture to the next room to check it's safety and if there are no meanies in it, I will signal you to come'
Chet answered with sign language, 'Good luck, my comrade, but be careful'
Shine Boy smiled but then his smile turned confused. Chet and Twilight looked to see Spike trying sign language himself unaware what he's saying, 'my fellow waffles, if we do not eat any croutons, we will cry spaghetti for three months'
He then looked at Chet and Twilight who looked confused. "What?"
"I'll tell you later" whispered Twilight.
Shine Boy entered the room and looked around and, after looking around, signals to the others the coast was clear. the others quietly entered the room which appeared to be an altar which was lit by torches.
"Whoa" Twilight whispered.
"What is this place" Spike asked.
"Some kind of altar" Shine Boy answered. "Hopefully, not one for sacrifices"
"Stay close, everyone" Chet whispered
As they got got closer to the altar, they noticed someone right next to it.
"Principal Celestia!" Twilight cried, running to her.
Sure enough, It was Principal Celestia, now wearing a formal dress, who looked dismal until she perked up hearing Twilight.
"Twilight!" She answered, embracing her as she approached. "Am I glad to see you! All of you."
"We're here to help." Chet said as he and Shine Boy approached.
Celestia smiled at the sight of Chet before pointing to Shine Boy. "But I don't think we've met."
Shine Boy introduced himself. "I'm Shine Boy. A superhero and a friend. I'm here to help rescue you.Let's go."
"Thanks. But I'm afraid I'm not going anywhere." Celestia sighed as she lifted her dress to reveal her ankle shackled to the altar.
SLASH!
Suddenly, the shackle split in two as Chet sheathed his sword.
"Now you can" he winked.
Celestia smiled. "Much better."
But as they were ready to leave, the entire place began to echo with an evil laughter.
"Okay, I'll bite. What's the joke?" Shine Boy asked.
Suddenly, the altar began to shake and glow purple as a giant shadow merged from it.
"Is that...." Twilight trembled, "The Dream Eater?"
The Dream Eater had now shown itself. It looked like a giant shadow and almost looked like it had three heads. Or at least it looks like it does. All you could see of his face were glowing eyes and a sinister smile. Shine Boy and Chet walked up in front while Twilight stood before Principal Celestia while Spike cowered behind Twilight’s leg.
“So you are the ones who dare entered my realm!” The Dream Eater said in a loud booming voice.
“You kidnapped my principal! It was personal!” Twilight shouted, trying to act brave.
“A teenager acting tough. I see not much has changed in the past few centuries!”
“She doesn’t act tough! We ARE tough!” Shine Boy cried.
“And we are going to teach you a lesson” Chet added.
“The moment that woman touched the doorway, the seal was gone! So in return I offer her an opportunity to rule by my side in a world of darkness.
“Sorry. You’re not my type.” Celestia said sternly.
“THAT WASNT A CHOICE!”
“Not good at rejection, are you?” Shine Boy said, rolling his eyes. “Look, me and the Gecko here made a promise to our friend there that we would save her principal back or die trying and we are not in the mood for dying or breaking that promise!”
“I can arrange that!”
Chet drew his swords out with a stern look on his face. “It is time for you to face the light. Prepare to fall by my blades, Demon!”
Shine Boy drew his staff out. “LETS SHINE!”
Shine Boy and Chet charged at the Dream Eater and started to fight him. Though the Dream Eater was more than a match for both of them, the two weren’t backing down. As he started to punch the demon, Shine Boys hands started to glow and proved to be hurting the being. Chet was able to do some damage as well with his magic blades. But the Dream Eater then punch both of them at the same time and then he punched them again in the back before they could recover, sending them flying into a wall. As the Dream Eater turned his attention on Twilight and Celestia, Twilight quickly used her geode Power to smack giant rubble in the entity’s face, disorientating it. This caused enough time for Shine Boy to pull out his grappling gun and fire a cable that wrapped around the Dream Eater.
“You are a fool to think this will hold me!” The Dream Eater chuckled.
“Oh it’ll more than hold you!” Shine Boy stated. He pushed a button that caused electricity to run through the cable, shocking the entity. While still being shocked, the Dream Eater was able to grab the cable and pull on it, causing Shine Boy to be thrown at a wall.
Shine Boy was able to shake it off as he got up and grabbed his staff. As he charged at it, the Dream Eater fired a beam at him, causing him to stop and use his staff to deflect it.
Chet was able to get back up and jumped at the Dream Eater, striking with his swords.
“ENOUGH!” The Dream Eater shouted, causing giant tendrils to merge from his body, each one pinning everybody to the ground and causing Shine Boy and Chet to drop their weapons.
“You are both strong, like your predecessors, warriors of light,” The Dream Eater stated. “But just like them, you’re efforts were in vain! After I finish you off, I will extinguish every once of light in your world until only darkness remains!” The Dream Eater then turned to Principal Celestia. “And you will be my side wether you like it or not!”
All Celestia could do is struggle effortlessly with tears in her eyes. It’s just like my dream, she thought.
“I think I’ll finish you off first, Gecko!” The Dream Eater said while picking up one of Chet’s katana blades. “By my hand! By your weapon!”
“NO!” Shine Boy cried, struggling.
“CHET!” Twilight shouted, unable to use her geode.
The Dream Eater had Chet in his sight as he held the geckos blade in his sights. Then as the blade came down, all Chet could do was close his eyes and ready himself for the stab.
Forgive me, mother and father, I have failed, he thought.
DING!
Chet opened his eyes to see the blade touching his chest, but not piercing him. Shocking everyone, the Dream Eater tried stabbing Chet again, but no matter how hard he tried, the blade wouldn’t stab it’s owner. Chet took the opportunity and broke free from it’s grip, grabbing his sword again.
“How? HOW!” The Dream Eater demanded.
Chet smiled. “Even I had forgotten that my father's blades were forged in purity and strength. They can only be used for good! In the hands of evil, they can never harm an innocent! So, Demon, they cannot harm me, OR my friends, but they can harm YOU!”
The Dream Eater screamed as Chet used his blades to free Shine Boy. “I’ll free Twilight and Spike. You free Celestia.”
“You got it.”
Chet and Shine Boy both continued their assault on the Dream Eater as they freed the others. Angered, the Dream Eater fired lasers from his eyes at Chet. After freeing Celestia, Shine Boy saw this and ran to his friends aid.
“Chet! Look out!”
Shine Boy was able to push Chet out of the way only to get caught in the blast. The others could only watch in horror as the beams shot Shine Boy into the wall and buried him in the rubble.
“SHINE BOY!” They all cried.
Angered, Twilight started to levitate some of the rubble and fired them at the entity. While Celestia and spike tried to find their friend, Chet started to slash at the Dream Eater, also angered. After dealing with many blows, the Dream Eater then swatted the two away and prepared to fire again.
“I may not be able to use your blade, but I can still destroy you, Gecko!”
Unknown to them but to Celestia and spike, the pile that buried Shine Boy was starting to shake and a light underneath it began to glow. The Dream Eater was ready to fire again.
“Let’s see your friend save you now!”
Suddenly, the rubble was removed and a beam of light was fired at the Dream Eater, damaging it. Everyone looked to their surprise to see Shine Boy alive, and glowing, firing the beam from his insignia and marching towards the Dream Eater.
So you had an ace up your sleeve, Chet thought as he smirked.
Shine Boy, still radiating bright, then stood before the Dream Eater, ready to fire another beam. As his insignia grew bright, He first turned to Twilight and nodded his head to tell her to get back.
“Thanks” She whispered as she ran to her principal and her dog.
Dream Eater charged his beam and fired at the hero.
“SHINE POWER!” Shine Boy declared as he fired again. Soon the two beams collided with each other as everyone watched.
That’s not gonna be enough, Chet thought. He saw a little bit of a balcony and got an idea and started to climb the wall.
Shine Boy was giving everything he got. But the entity was able to overpower him and Shine Boy was sent flying back and on the floor.
“Your trump card. And it failed you in the end.” The Dream Eater chuckled.
Shine Boy struggled to get up. As he faced the Dream Eater, noticed Chet on the balcony, ready to jump.
“Maybe I couldn’t beat you!” Shine Boy declared.
The Dream Eater wondered what he meant by that when-
SLASH!
The Dream Eater could grimace in pain as he saw a giant slash on him and it cut right through him. He could only looked to see Chet sheathed his blade.
“You held a woman against her will. You tried to kill me by my blade. You hurt my friend. You will never hurt anyone or anything ever again.”
After hearing that, the Dream Eater began to fall apart while screaming in pain. As it did, the whole place began to crumble apart.
“I think that’s our cue.” Shine Boy said. And so they all hurried to the spot where the portal was and thankfully the portal was still there.
“Hurry! You all go first!” Shine Boy told the others.
Twilight grabbed Spike and jumped in, followed by Celestia and Chet. As Shine Boy was about to enter, the floor started to collapse underneath him, causing him to almost miss the portal. But luckily, he got through just in time.
Soon enough, Twilight Sparkle, Spike, Principal Celestia, Chetgeki, and Shine Boy made it back to the museum just as the portal shriveled up and imploded. As Shine Boy sat up, he noticed his mask was off his face so he quickly put his hand over his eyes and started feeling the ground for it. Twilight, Celestia, spike, and Chet all began to regain consciousness.
“I’m getting too old for this.” Celestia said, as she shook off her wooziness.
“I think I had enough excitement for one day” Twilight sighed.
“I think I need a fire hydrant” Spike added.
Chet grabbed his fedora and started to brush it when he noticed Shine Boy’s mask right next to his foot and looks to see Shine Boy searching for his mask while covering his eyes.
“Twilight. Celestia. Look.” He said as waved the girls over and showed them Shine Boy. They all look at each other and smiled and walked towards him as Twilight kneeled down and put her hand on Shine Boy’s.
“It’s okay. We got your mask right here.” She said gently.
Shine Boy knew this meant that they were curious about who was behind the mask. “Are you....,, all certain... you won’t mind what you see?”
Celestia kneeled as well and put her hand on his shoulder. “I owe you my life. Keeping your secret is the least I can do.”
“And you kept your promise. You are a good friend no matter who you are.” Spike added.
Taking a deep sigh, Shine Boy slowly removed his hand away from his eyes, showing his face revealing himself as Tony Bedding.
“Tony?” Twilight gasped.
Chet smiled. “Not only did you go get help, you were help. You may be a High school student but you can never hide a warrior spirit.”
“But why do you do this? Celestia asked.
Tony knew he had to tell them. “It’s my mission. When I was young, I was very shy. No one thought I would get far in life. As I got older, I wanted to make a difference in life. Then I was found by the legendary hero Zion who trained me in combat. He taught me everything I know about honor, determination, and faith. After I completed my training, I made this outfit with the help of a friend of mine so I can put my training to good use as Shine Boy.”
“Wow” smiled Twilight. “That’s quite a burden.”
“it’s not so bad.” Tony explained. “I’ve made some great friends and allies in the midst of it all so I’m not alone.”
“Well, you’ve got friends here as well.” Celestia said, pecking Tony, who chuckled, on the cheek.
As they all stood up, Chet handed Tony his mask. “We won’t tell anyone, my friend. And I am proud to call you my friend as well.......Shine Boy.”
Tony accepted his mask and put it back over his eyes and smiled at his new friends. Spike looked over to the doorway where the portal was and something caught his eye.
“Hey guys. Take a look at this.”
Everyone looked over to the doorway and were impressed.
“Wow!” Twilight whispered
“Looks wonderful.” Celestia smiled.
Shine Boy sighed happily. “You know what I love about Teamwork? It’s that together, we can paint a pretty good picture.”
“That is something to live by.” Chet agreed.
Where the portal was was now a ceramic illustration of the medicine woman and the warriors of light fighting the Dream Eater while protecting a woman who resembled Celestia. The medicine woman and the warriors resembled Twilight, Chet, and Shine Boy.
Spike looked closely at the medicine woman’s dog. “Am I really that fat?
Everybody couldn’t help but laugh.
Before long, everything went back to how it was. Twilight was able to call Rarity and helped Principal Celestia out of the outfit and back to her usual wear. Twilight and Chet told the other Rainbooms about the Dream Eater and Shine Boy decided to let them share his secret. In fact, they Pinkie promised. All it took for Rainbow Dash was an autograph from Shine Boy. Chet got to enjoy more of his stay, despite having to wear his disguise again.
After a couple days, it was time for Chet to head home. The Rainbooms and Tony were there to see him off.
“I want to thank you all for your generous hospitality.” He said, bowing to them.
“We’re glad you enjoyed your stay” Sunset Shimmer smiled.
“Even when we weren’t there from the start.” Rainbow sighed.
“Just know you’re always welcome to drop in.” Pinkie chimed.
“It was great to meet you, Chet.” Rarity said.
“I hope you come back again soon.” Fluttershy hoped.
“Eyup. We’ll be looking fward to yer next visit.” Applejack added.
“As will I” Chet smiled. “I’ll talk to Princess Twilight about why I didn’t change through the portal.” He then turned to Tony. “Perhaps Someday, you can visit Equestria, my friend. I think you’ll love it.”
“I’ll look forward to that day.” Tony nodded.
Chet then entered the portal as they all waved goodbye to him. Then they headed to the bus stop to see Tony off this time.
“Thank you again for helping Twilight with the Dream Eater.” Sunset Shimmer said.
“It was my pleasure.” Tony answered.
“Do you think you’ll be back again someday?” Fluttershy asked.
“Maybe. In fact, I’ll Pinkie promise that I’ll one day return. Cross my heart. Hope to fly, sick a cupcake in my eye. I should bring my friends next time. You’re sure to love them.”
Tony hugged everyone as the bus drove up. After the door swung open, he was about to get on board when he stopped.
“Oh I almost forgot. Could you tell a Flash Sentry I said thanks for showing me around.
“We will.” Sunset promised.
Tony smiled and nodded as he went in the bus as it drove away while the Rainbooms watch it drove off.
