Scootaloo's Past
One day in Ponyville, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Scootaloo, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle were talking amoungst each other while in Scootaloo's treehouse, tomorrow was family day at their school and everyone in their class, including them, had to write a four page essay explaining all about their familes, Apple Boom was excited.
"I can't wait to tell everyone about my family's history, after all, us, apples, have a long history on our hoofs." She said.
Sweetie Belle was pleased.
"I'll tell everyone about my mother, father, sister and our cat, Opal, i'm sure it will be a masterpiece as my sister always says." She said as both her and Apple Bloom giggled.
But Scootaloo wasn't excited, nor was she pleased, she never had a family ever since that horrible day, since then, she refused to tell the ponies of her family, even her friends and her favorite pegasus, Rainbow Dash.
Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle noticed something was wrong with Scootaloo as she stood behind them with tears in her eyes, the two foals soon trotted up to her, "What's wrong, Scootaloo?" Apple Bloom asked, feeling concerned, "Nothing's wrong, i'm fine!" Scootaloo said, turning her head, on the verge of tears, Apple Bloom became even more concerned, "Are you sure?" Sweetie Belle asked, "Yes!" Scootaloo said with her back facing them, "We can tell something's wrong, if you could let us help you-" Apple Bloom said, Scootaloo turned to Apple Bloom, "I SAID I'M FINE!" She yelled with more tears coming from her eyes, Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom then decided to wait for a moment until Scootaloo calmed down about, then they could talk.
A few seconds later, Scootaloo calmed down and sat down with Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle, "Are you ready to talk now, Scootaloo?" Sweetie Belle asked, Scootaloo took a deep breath and nodded her head, "Then why are you so upset?" Apple Bloom asked, Scootaloo closed her eyes and took another deep breath, once she opened her eyes, she began to explain, "I don't have a family." She said, this left Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle shocked as they didn't heard Scootaloo say that before, "You don't have a family?" Apple Bloom asked, rubbing her eyes in total shock, "Well, i used to, but not anymore." Scootaloo replied, her saddness starting to kick in, "How about you tell us about your family and maybe we can help." Sweetie Belle suggested, Scootaloo sighed and replied "Okay."
She then began to tell Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle about her family, she had a dad, a mom and a big sister, they were happy and perfect together.
But a little while later, Scootaloo's dad started drinking and he and her mom began to argue, Scootaloo didn't know what it was about but she hugged her sister in fear as they were in the bedroom while the fight was still going, one day, Scootaloo's mom left and her dad quit his work and continued drinking, she was afraid of what's happening around her.
Not long after, Scootaloo's sister began to pack a suitcase for both her and Scootaloo, Scootaloo didn't know why her sister was doing this but she then realized that they were running away, her sister coulden't stand being with their father, even with their mother gone, so she took Scootaloo and both suitcases, and snuck out of the house and into the night while their father was alseep.
A few days later, Scootaloo's sister started to become sick, Scootaloo tried her best to make her better by using the medicine that was in her suitcase but it wasn't working, 4 days later, Scootaloo's sister died in Scootaloo's arms, Scootaloo buried her sister's body underneath a beautiful oak tree, Scootaloo was very upset, but she pushed through, she had to find a place to stay, far away from her drunk father, that place was Ponyville, that was where she met her friends, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle, and her favorite pegasus, Rainbow Dash, it was where she felt happy.
As Scootaloo finished her story, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle started to feel sad, "I'm so sorry to hear that, Scootaloo, you poor thing." Sweetie Belle said as tears started to fall from her eyes, "I don't think i have a great story on my family, from as far as i know, my family's no longer with me." Scootaloo said as more tears start to come.
After much concern, Apple Bloom soon had an idea, "Maybe you should not make an essay of your family and do an essay on us instead!" She said, wiping the tears from her face in happiness, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo looked at her, a little confused, "What do you mean?" Scootaloo asked, "Remenber what Mrs. Cheerile said about the essay? It dosen't have to be about our familes, it can be about our friends too!" Apple Bloom said.
Sweetie Belle was surprised to hear about this as she smiled and wiped the tears from her face as well, "She's right, you should do that, Scootaloo." She said to Scootaloo, Scootaloo was surprised at what she heard that she wiped the tears from her face and smiled a smile as twice as big as Sweetie Belle's and Apple Bloom's, "You really think so?" She asked, both Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom both nodded at the same time, "Yeah, we'll be great for your essay!" Apple Bloom said, feeling cheerful.
Scootaloo smiled the biggest smile she could and said "Okay then, let's do it!" Both Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle cheered excitly as all three of them then went to work on the essay on Scootaloo's friends.
The next day, Scootaloo presented her essay and everyone except Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon loved it, including Mrs. Cheerile, so much so that she even gave the essay and A for trying something besides family for the essay, Scootaloo, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle were amazed and excited, Scootaloo now knew that even though her family was lost, she'll still always have her friends beside her.
