A Night At The Gala
Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes. That’s how many minutes are in each and every year. And with those minutes we could take the time to be with one another and love each other no matter what comes at us.
Every pony in Ponyville has their special partner, a companion, some pony to be there for them and stand by their side. That’s what Twilight and Thorax have to share with each other.
It’s been months since they first started dating each other. It was back when Queen Chrsaylis was still in control of the changeling kingdom, she even attempted to take over the Crystal Empire. Ever since Twilight found out that he was a good changeling she had high hopes for him, but now those high hopes turned into something more. As time passes these feelings were growing to be something Twilight never thought about at all and eventually she would confess her feelings to Thorax and he would feel the same.
The rest was pretty much history after that. Of course there were some troubles between them at times, sometimes it’s because they’re completely different species, but no matter what they always knew that they were meant for each other.
Tonight is the Grand Galloping Gala and Twilight and Thorax are getting ready for the special evening.
They’re inside Twilight’s castle to prepare for the gala. Rarity and Spike were there as well as they were gonna go with them.
Twilight was in her bedroom putting on her blue dress with some white stars on it. She went ahead and decided to put on a little bit of makeup. Nothing much, just putting on a small amount of lipstick and lash liner.
After putting the finishing touches on her outfit for the gala, she’s finally ready for the special evening with her friends, especially with her one true love, Thorax. Speaking of Thorax, he knocks on Twilight’s bedroom door and waits for Twilight to let him in.
“Come in,” Twilight says as she uses her magic to open the doors and let Thorax in the room and closes them back once he enters. “Hey, Thorax.”
“Hey, Twilight. You look nice,” he complimented Twilight’s outfit and appearance.
“Thank you. You look handsome as well,” she returns the favor.
“So are you ready for tonight?”
“Yeah, I can’t help but to say I’m a little nervous... This is the first time that I actually have a date for the gala.” Twilight puts on a sheepish smile.
“Well I’m honored to be your first,” Thorax says.
Meanwhile Twilight looks at her mirror one more time as Thorax trots over to his mare friend. He was comforting her when wrapping his hooves around Twilight and putting his chin on her head, making sure he’s not putting down too much weight.
“Twilight, there’s no need to be nervous. You have me... and I have you,” Thorax comforts his companion with his words. “I love you.”
“I love you more,” she says.
“I love you most.”
Twilight gets up from her seat and makes her way around to give Thorax a passionate kiss on his lips. The changeling returns the favor as he gives her the kiss of her life. They kiss for about a solid minute before Thorax teases Twilight when he slides down to giving her kisses on her neck, making Twilight moan and even giggle a bit from the sudden contact.
"He he hee Thorax that tickles," Twilight says a bit softly as she moans and giggles a bit from Thorax's affection.
"But you like it don't ya," Thoarx teased Twilight some more as he licked her neck a little as well and Twilight moaned in response. Sooner or later they would kiss again except it's more intimate and passionate. The couple shared their tongues a little as well as they set up a playdate between them. The moment doesn't last long as some pony knocks on the door and starles Twilight and Thorax in the process. The couple breaks the kiss and stand by each other and they try to act like nothing happened. Twilight uses her magic to open the doors to see Rarity and Spike there.
"Oh, Hey you two.... Ready for the gala?" Twilight says a little bit nervously.
"Why yes darling but only when the two of you are finished with your cute moment," said Rarity.
"How did you know we were... sowing oats?"
"Thorax you have lipstick smeared on you lips," Spike points out as Thorax puts his hoof on his lips.
"Don’t worry darling you should be able to wipe it off easily with a towel or so,” Rarity says.
“Well other than that we’re all ready?”
“Yep.”
“Of Course,” Twilight uses her magic to get a napkin to wipe the smeared lipstick off of Thorax’s lips.
“Marvelous. We should get going before we’re late for the Gala.”
“Agreed,” they all said.
Later at the Gala
Twilight, Thorax, Rarity, and Spike purchased tickets to get on the train to Canterlot. As they got on the train the conductor punched their tickets in so they can hitch a ride.
After that they were on their way to the gala in Canterlot. Things were mostly quiet, although the four were making some conversation. After a while they group would eventually arrive in Canterlot and they would finally make their way to the Gala.
The group would arrive inside Canterlot castle for the official Grand Galloping Gala. Every pony, changeling, and even a few yaks were invited here. Some of them were dancing along with the music, others were just hanging out or tasting some great foods and beverages. Every single one of them seems to be having a great time here in the gala so far. Purple, blue, and pink light were waving around as well.
The four would meet up with Fluttershy and Discord along with Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash. They had a conversation that was around half an hour until they split up to do separate things and have fun themselves. And now the three ponies and one changeling were once again together as a group of four.
“This looks nice... doesn’t it Thorax?”
“Not as nice as you Sparks,” Thorax calls Twilight by the nickname he gave her as he kisses her forehead.
“We’ll give you two some alone time,” Spike says as he and Rarity walks away after. “See ya guys later,” he said.
“Well what do you wanna do first?” asked Thorax.
“Well we could get something to eat, I heard Applejack and Pinkie Pie provided most of the buffet,” Twilight says.
The couple made their way to all of the foods and beverages on a long table. Twilight gets an apple pie and Thorax gets a regular salad. They would go and find a table for the two of them which didn’t take long to find and then sat down there so they can have their meal.
“So how are you liking the gala so far?” Thorax asks as the couple starts to eat.
“It’s great. How about you?”
“It’s pretty fun for my first time here in the Gala,” Thorax eats some of his salad. “Wow. I gotta say, you have Applejack and Pinkie Pie knows how to make some food.”
“Hee hee... never doubt their cooking,” Twilight giggles as she eats her apple pie.
“Trust me I’ll never doubt their cooking ever again,” Thorax says jokingly.
“You know after the gala is finished and we get back to my castle I can give you more than a pie to eat,” Twilight winks at her romantic partner.
“Careful Sparks, you don’t want anyone to know about your wild side,” Thorax says as he chuckles a little.
“Please, you have a wild side too,” Twilight points out. The couple continues to eat their food for bit, savoring every taste and bite of their meals as they have a nice conversation of the evening. After a little while they were almost done, just about a quarter of the food left. They were silent for bit as they ate but they exchanged occasional looks and they even shared each other’s food. After a little bit later they finally finished all of their meals they had.
“That was good,” Thorax says.
“You can say that again,” Twilight says jokingly. “Well what should we do now?”
“Well m’lady...” Thorax gets up from his seat and makes his way towards Twilight’s side and extends a hoof. “Will you take this dance?”
“You don’t need to ask twice,” she says as she takes his hoof and gets up. The next thing they knew, they were having the dance of the evening as the music plays.
Twilight and Thorax started their own romantic slow dance and they danced the night away. It was really a romantic evening for them both as they held each other in their arms. The couple gazed at each other’s eyes as they move the slow music they were playing.
“Thorax?” Twilight asks.
“Yeah?” Thorax says.
“I’ve always thought you were the one for me. Always. I never want us to split apart,” she says.
“Me neither, Sparks,” Thorax replies.
The two continued to dance as they tried different moves as well. Thorax twirls Twilight as she spins around and he stops her with her back against his chest. Then Twilight twirled again and then they go back to their original positioning. They danced as if nothing else was around as they looked at each other’s eyes and only each other’s eyes. All of the lights turned into hearts of passion and bliss as they dance for the evening. They go a bit slower and gazed into each other’s eyes one last time.
“I love you, Thorax,” Twilight says.
“I love you more.”
“I love you most.”
They held each other in their arms as they danced a little slower. They close the gap between the two until the gap between them was only seven inches... then five inches... then three... then one... until their lips make contact and they kiss.
The couple continues to dance knowing that there was only one thing that matters to both of them...
...And that is love.
