Alto visits canterlot and meets the two great princesses of equestria. But is more interested in only one of them.
Alto is staying in canterlot for a whole year. And comes across two alicorn princesses that are rulers of equestria. When alto sees them, she is curious to know more about them. However she’s mostly interested in one princess, one that she can spend time with.
“Well here it is.” I said as i went into my hotel room in canterlot. It was more or less fancy with how it was decorated. I unpacked my things and put them in the bedroom. I was very tired from the trip here so I decided to lay down and take a little rest. “I’ll check everything out tomorrow.” I said as I was too tired to get familiar with the city. And so I went to sleep. It was already sunset so it was a good time to go to bed.
It was now morning and I had a pretty good sleep. But something was weird, because I smelled something in the kitchen. And as I went inside there was a purple unicorn mare. She looked up at me and smiled. “Hello Alto, my name is Twilight Sparkle. I’ve decided to make you breakfast. It’s your favorite too.” Twilight said as she finished making breakfast.
And it was pancakes which were my favorite but I’m more concerned about why she’s here and how she knows about my name and favorite food. “But why are you here miss Sparkle?” I said as I was eating the delicious pancakes. But Twilight just smiled and sat across from me. “And how do you know my name and what foods that i like?” I said as I asked her more questions.
“Well Princess Celestia and Princess Luna have told me about you and seemed interested in getting to know you.” Twilight said as she was watching me eat all of the breakfast. It was only pancakes but I didn’t complain. “As for the food I figured that you would need some energy to meet them.” Twilight said with a happy smile. “Oh and the princesses told me who you were and knew what foods were your favorite.” Twilight laughed a little while she said that.
“Ok that’s kinda weird but thanks for making me breakfast.” I said as I thanked Twilight and headed out the door. But suddenly she teleported in front of me with a smile. “What?” I said wondering. Then I realize that I probably need a tour around the place that I didn’t know. “Oh right, can you show me around this city Twilight?” I said nervously.
“Of course!” Twilight said as we both trotted in the city. It was a really big city and I’m glad that there’s a lot of stores and things to do here. “Do you see that big castle over there?” Twilight said pointing to the very big castle in the city. I looked at it and nodded. “That’s where the princesses live, and it’s also where we’re going but not without knowing the city first.” Twilight said as we continued going place to place to each store.
I was surprised that they still have old music, old clothes, and even food. But mostly the music because I love listening to classical ones and also play the viola myself. It is very nice listening to music that is still used and loved by so many. “So Twilight, what’s your favorite music?” I asked. And then Twilight started to think a little bit but gave me a nervous smile. “Let me guess, all of them?” I said smiling as Twilight nodded.
“Well yes I love all kinds of music but sometimes it depends.” Twilight said as I nodded understanding. “We’re almost at the castle, do you need anything before you get there?” Twilight asked. But it seems she already knew what it was. “I’ll be right back.” Twilight said as she again teleported somewhere. And within five seconds she teleported back with my viola. “Here you go.” Twilight said as she gave me my viola. “Oh and don’t worry about the guards just tell them your name and you’ll be good to go.” Twilight said as we reached the entrance. I looked at her expecting something, but it seems she read my mind. “I have to go back to my friends in Ponyville, but good luck and see you next time.” Twilight said as she left.
As I reached the front doors, two armed guards stopped me and said “Stop right there, what is your name?” I was a little intimidated but I needed to get inside.
“My name is Alto Harmonic.” They nodded and immediately let me through the doors and I was now inside. It was very fancy and even had a red carpet. The windows were just amazing and had a lot of art on them which I’m assuming has history behind it. And the inside had more guards but I wasn’t afraid, they are here to protect the princesses and any other pony if they were in danger. And at the center I see two princesses sitting on very fancy thrones. They were of course alicorns and looked very interesting. The first one is white with multi colored mane and tail. Her cutie mark is the sun which is interesting. The second one is dark blue with blue and I think violet mane and tail. Her cutie mark is a crescent moon which is also interesting.
“Welcome to our humble castle Alto.” Celestia said smiling. “I hope Twilight has showed you around the city, it’s very beautiful isn’t it?” Celestia said. I didn’t need to know which princess was which because I already had an idea of which one is who because of Twilight.
“Yes your highness, it is very beautiful.” I said as I gave a small bow. Celestia is certainly taller than Luna somehow which is kinda funny. But i won’t mention it anytime soon. Luna had her eyes closed and i could see small bangs under them so she must’ve had a rough sleep. “Princess Celestia, is Princess Luna doing ok?” I asked a little worried.
“Oh yes she’s ok, just very exhausted from doing work as it gets very difficult each night. I really wish I could help her but unfortunately I can’t.” Celestia said sadly. “Luna wake up please our guest is here.” Celestia said softly.
“Hmm, what is it sister?” Luna said waking up with a big yawn. She looked right at me very closely. “And you must be Alto, correct?” And I nodded and gave her a bow. Then she looked back up at her sister. “I’m really sorry sister, I’ll try to be more awake next time.” Luna said tiredly.
“It’s fine Luna, I know how hard you work.” Celestia said as she gave Luna a hug. “Well Alto now that you’ve met us, tell us about yourself besides your favorite foods of course.” Celestia said giggling a little bit.
“Well I do love music but more specifically classical, but don’t get me wrong I listen to dubstep and rock too sometimes. And blue is my favorite color. Also I stay inside a lot so I don’t really go outside unless I want to.” I said looking at the princesses. They both smiled at me knowing that I shared some things about myself, but of course I smiled back.
“I see, that is quite interesting.” Celestia said with a smile. Then she started to ask me another question. “Now that we know a little more about you, is there anything you want to know more about us?” Celestia said. And I did have more questions but it was only just a few of them.
“Yes um I don’t think I fully understand what you and Princess Luna do, so what exactly do you princesses do?” I asked though I was a little bit nervous, even though I kinda knew what they do.
“Well as you can see by my cutie mark, I have the power to raise and lower the sun.” Celestia said as she looked back to Luna. “And my sister here has the power to raise and lower the moon.” Celestia said.
“My sister lowers the sun when it’s nighttime, and raises it when it’s daytime.” Luna explained. “And I lower the moon when it is daytime, then raise it when it’s nighttime.” Luna said explaining again. And I was pretty impressed and amazed by their abilities. I was going to ask another question but Luna spoke up again. “And believe it or not Alto, me and my sister work very hard. I also have the power to go into other ponies dreams to make sure that they are all well and rested. And depending on a situation, me and my sister both have to go to meetings and other royal duties.” Luna said still a little bit tired.
“Oh I’m sorry I didn’t know it was hard.” I said. But the princesses just chuckled. Maybe because despite it being hard they still loved doing what they do. Which is pretty neat. And it seems that I am right.
“Oh no need to apologize Alto, though it can be tough and hard it’s still something that we both value very much.” Celestia said as she and Luna both smiled. Then Celestia asked me something. “Is there anything else you wanted to ask?” Celestia said.
And there was. “Um is it ok if I spend the night here, just for one night.” I said very nervously looking at the princesses. They both seemed to be thinking. It was silent for almost twenty minutes until both Luna and Celestia looked right at me calmly. And I became more nervous than before.
“Very well Alto.” Both Celestia and Luna said at the same time. I almost wanted to scream yay but stopped myself from doing so. It was kinda funny how they said it at the same time. But it was good anyway.
“Guards, show Alto to the guest room please.” Celestia said commanding them. The guards gave a swift salute and escorted me to a big hallway which had three doors on the left and three doors on the right but there’s also a door right in the middle. And above on all of them had symbols but not just any symbols, they were symbols of cutie marks. I didn’t recognize any of them except the one with a star which was twilight’s. Then suddenly me and the guards stopped at the door that was right in the middle of the hallway. It didn’t have a cutie mark symbol so it must be a guest room.
“This is the guest room Miss Alto, if you need anything else or have any more questions just let us or the princesses know.” The guard said as he turned and went away while the other guard stood still outside beside the guest room. Then I opened the door went inside and closed it and it was hard to believe that a guest room was this fancy. The whole room was amazing with a big bed, fancy covers and pillows, and the bathroom was also fancy. But I didn’t really care so I went right to bed and laid down slowly going to sleep.
I tossed and turned over my bed but my mind was still on Luna making me not being able to sleep, maybe it’s because I’m interested in her more. So I decided to go out of my room, and the guard is still there beside my door but I could tell he was very sleepy. “Is everything ok Miss Alto?” The guard said with a big yawn.
“Yes everything is fine, I just couldn’t sleep.” I said to him tiredly. And I was still curious about the other rooms so I decided to go to one of them. The one I decided to go to was the symbol of twilight. The guard was looking at me a little suspicious for going to a room that wasn’t mine. “I’m just going to crack the door a little and peak inside.” I said to the guard that gave me a small nod. I cracked the door and peeked inside. The room was pretty amazing but it was more different than the one that I was in. It’s almost as if the room was custom made just for the specific pony. Because there were a lot of books about magic spells and stuff. And speaking of specific pony I peeked a little bit more and see that twilight is in her room studying something.
“Hey Alto.” Twilight said to me. She must have noticed that I wasn’t exactly quiet. Twilight also seemed very tired but I’m not surprised since it’s probably super late. “Princess Luna might help you if you need some help in sleeping.” Twilight said tiredly as she was still studying. Somehow she read my mind but I didn’t know where Luna would be. Again twilight read my mind. “If you go down the hallway you’ll see two doors, the one on the left is where Luna will be and the one on the right is where Celestia will be.” Twilight said as she stopped studying and went to go to bed.
“Ok thanks twilight.” I said as I stopped peeking and gently closed twilight’s door. I went down the hallway and twilight was right, two doors one on the left and one on the right. The odd thing was that there weren’t any guards standing beside either of the doors. But I wasn’t really worried and went to Luna’s room. I carefully knocked on the door and waited for a few seconds. Luna was probably asleep but I wasn’t sure which is why I knocked. Within a few minutes I hear her voice.
“Yes? Who is it?” Luna said a little bit angry. Oh dear maybe I shouldn’t have done this. But hopefully she’ll understand that I just want to be with her and hopefully understand that I didn’t want to interrupt. But I decided to stay calm and worry about that later.
“It’s me Luna, I couldn’t sleep and wanted some help or advice.” I said a little scared that I messed up and should’ve just gone to sleep. I then hear her steps getting closer to the door. Luna opens the door and looks at me tiredly but happily. “I’m really sorry for interrupting you Luna but I just needed to come to you.
“It’s fine Alto, but yes I will help you with going to sleep.” Luna said as she gently pulled me with her magic into her room closing the door. Luna’s room was amazing too but I didn’t care about that, all I care about is getting some sleep. Luna then laid me onto her bed and sat beside me. “Now I know plenty of ways that may help you sleep.” Luna said still tired but focused.
“Actually Luna I was hoping to just sleep in your bed with you. If you’ll allow it.” I said nervously looking at Luna. Luna seemed more happy than tired this time because after that she gave me a tight hug. After that we both laid down on the bed close together.
“It’s just the both of us now Alto, good night and sweet dreams.” Luna said as she gave a small yawn and we both went to bed.
