Princess Cadence had been searching diligently in her spare time in recent weeks, trying to find a very particular kind of spell. Ever since her husband had accidentally turned into a foal almost two years ago, a part of her had secretly gotten jealous. She'd seen how the experience had allowed her husband to more closely bond with their daughter, Flurry Heart and better understand how the little one saw the world.

Knowing that she couldn't just up and abandon her royal duties, the crystal princess had mostly pushed the thoughts of becoming a foal again to the back of her mind. It happening on accident was one thing, especially when it had already occurred twice. But letting it intentionally happen was quite different. And age spells were very complicated and difficult to pull off.

But now that Flurry was becoming a toddler, a potty training one at that, Cadence was becoming just the slightest bit desperate. She really wanted to have her own experience with her daughter on her level, and also potentially serve as a role model to better motivate Flurry to use her potty more often than she currently did (which was not very often).

Late one night, Princess Cadence was at it yet again. She searched and searched and searched, scouring bookshelves from top to bottom in the crystal castle's royal library. Despite having exhausted almost every book and tome she'd come across, the princess of love wasn't ready to give up. There just had to be an age spell that could suit her needs. It didn't have to be permanent, she'd settle for a day or two.

At last, just as the princess was prepared to call it a night and chalk up yet another searching session as a loss, her light purple eyes spotted something that attracted her attention. "Could this be what I've been looking for?!" She hopefully thought to herself as she lit up her horn!

Before long a rather ancient looking (and quite dusty to boot) book was brought before Cadence. With only the dim light of a candle she carefully read over the book's title and then scanned through the pages. Towards the very back of the book, she found a section involving "Age Spells and Related Magical Feats". Scanning through, she found a promising spell! The description explained that it turned the target to whatever target age they desire for a twenty four hour period from the time of its casting. The user would experience foalish thoughts, but their mind and some physical abilities wouldn't be altered.

The princess of love smiled! "I've found it at last!" She said to herself as a smile crept across her face. "Now I'll finally get to have my own foalish adventure, hopefully." And the alicorn made a vow to show off her discovery to her husband the next morning. She knew he'd have to be on board with it before she could even think of casting the spell.





Shining Armor was slow to come to the breakfast table that morning. Ever since that accidental regression, he'd made it a part of his morning routine to spend some time with his daughter, and lately that had even meant chaperoning Flurry to the bathroom to sit on her potty chair. That was just what he was doing on this particular morning, and even from down the hall he could be heard showering his daughter with over exaggerated praise. "Oh, what a big girl you're becoming, Flurry!" He cooed. "You're growing up so fast."

Princess Cadence did her best not to be annoyed by it, she knew she was just as guilty of such over the top praise and cooing on the increasingly rare occasions where it was her and not Shining, Sunburst or even Twilight who was tending to Flurry Heart. But even so it bothered her ever so slightly despite trying not to let it show.

Shining arrived soon enough, however, and did his best to clear his throat and look professional. "Well, Flurry's at least getting used to the idea of going to the potty at regular intervals. But actually using it like she should seems to still be a bit of a foreign concept to her. I had to change her diaper again this morning. I thought she'd be a little bit further along by now."

Cadence couldn't help but give a bit of a teasing remark. "Well, she's probably just taking after you, dear. You did say you were a bit of a slow learner yourself."

"Maybe, but that's because I had some 'issues' due to being born prematurely," The prince protested and then cleared his throat. "But I'm sure she'll get the hang of it eventually as long as we keep at it."

Sensing that this might be the perfect opportunity to nudge the conversation towards her late night discovery, the princess of love spoke up. "Perhaps it would help if she had a role model? Somepony more on her level? Maybe even somepony she looks up to?"

"You suggesting we use one of her playmates?" Shining guessed, suspecting nothing. "Flurry's really the only foal in the kingdom right now who's old enough for potty training. And I don't think it'll be the same if we tried to fill that role."

Cadence shook her head. "That's not quite what I had in mind," She gave a knowing wink before she floated over the ancient looking book from the night before, quickly flipping to the page containing the age spell. "You know how after your foalish adventure we talked about me getting to experience it?"

Memories of that time slowly came back to the prince. He'd try to mostly suppress them due to the embarrassment, despite them giving him new insights on his daughter's world view. He had to fight back a blush. "Are you suggesting that..."

"-Yes I am," The crystal princess affirmatively nodded. "It's my turn now."

Shining gulped and swallowed hard. "You sure this is a good idea, Cadence? I wouldn't want you to suffer from embarrassment like I did. Besides, what about your royal duties?"

The alicorn only replied with a smile. "It only lasts for twenty four hours from when I cast the spell. It'll be just like when you got regressed. I'll still have my adult mind. I don't think anypony will really be bothered or even notice if I take a day off. I already made sure there's nothing important on the schedule. It'd just be between you, me and Flurry Heart."

The stallion with a majestic white coat fought back another gulp. "Well... I guess if you really want to then maybe..."

Without bothering to wait for confirmation, Cadence leapt up and hugged and kissed her husband! "Oh thank you, Shiny! You're the best husband ever!"

"What?! But I didn't actually say yes!" Shining protested in disbelief.

"Come on. For the sake of our daughter?" Cadence proposed, offering to sweeten the deal. "You can take as many pictures as you want. And even make me do your famous diaper dance, assuming Flurry Heart doesn't teach it to me first."

The prince had to admit that was a pretty tempting offer. It would be nice to watch somepony else embarrass themselves for a change, even if that somepony would be his wife. And having another foal on her level would certainly make Flurry Heart very happy. And if Cadence really did retain her adult memory and control, she could probably double as an effective tutor for potty training.

"Well?" Cadence not so patiently inquired.

Shining reluctantly agreed with a sigh. "Oh, alright, just this once I suppose. And I promise I'll try not to embarrass you too much. Not gonna rule out the diaper dance, though."

Now it was Cadence's turn to blush. "Knew you'd say that, Shiny. But it's only fair. You did it for me and lots of other ponies. I just hope I do it right."

"There's no wrong way to do it," The prince laughed before he then asked. "So, you wanna have breakfast first before you cast the spell? I don't think I have enough magical strength to do it, you're better at these kinds of spells than I am."

But the princess of love protested. "I don't want to waste another minute! This spell lasts for twenty four hours from when I cast it, and I want to make the most of those twenty four hours! So I'm gonna do it now."

The prince reluctantly replied. "O...kay. I think I'll just... step back a bit, out of range. Careful not to overdo it."

"I won't!" Cadence vowed as she eyed the text again and then lit up her horn, surrounding her body with the soft, light blue glow from her horn. Her whole body began to tingle, making her feel funny all over. She shut her eyes as the glow grew more intense!





The familiar voice of Shining Armor soon called out. "Okay Cadence, you can open your eyes now. Or should I say Cady?"

The princess of love obeyed, her eyes fluttering open slowly. Already her mind and body felt "different" for lack of a better term. She still felt like she was an adult on the inside, but she didn't really know what she looked like on the outside. She soon got her answer, however. For Cadence found herself looking around at a world that now seemed so much bigger than it had been just a minute or two ago. "Did it wowk?" She asked out loud and received an answer in the form of a very foalish lisp!

"Congratulations, Cady!" Shining half cheered/half cooed. "It looks like you're a foal again," Then he asked. "How old are you, exactly? Did you specify?"

Cadence had to pause to think of the answer, which was hard to do given her new foalish state of appearance and accompanying mindset. "I tink I about two, maybe thwee. Tat's the age I wanted to be at so I couwd be on Fwuwwy's wevew," Then she blushed. "Wow, is hawd to tawk wike tis aww the time."

The prince giggled, remembering his own experiences. "Yeah, but you'll get used to it eventually, dear. I know I did and so did Sunburst."

"Yeah, bu ya had days to get used to it and pwactice tawking in ya wisp." The now regressed princess protested, pouting slightly. This was one of the downsides to the regression, she'd have to talk like a foal. She was just grateful she was a foal that could be understood.

Shining only teased as he used his magic to pick up his regressed wife and lightly scold her. "Ah ah ah, Cady. Nopony likes a pouty baby. Keep that attitude up and I'll have put you in time out."

Cadence didn't want to imagine what would happen if Shining actually followed through on that threat, and while she felt he probably wouldn't she decided it was best not to take the chance. "Otay, I'ww twy not to pout. And I'ww twy to be good whiwe I a foaw."

The stallion smiled, carrying his wife in his hooves not unlike the way he'd carried his daughter until recently. "Glad to hear that, sweetie. Now we'd better get you all diapered up for your day of fun. Wouldn't want you to make a mess on the nice clean floors of the castle, now would we?"

The regressed princess of love nodded. She wasn't sure how much self control she had right now. Besides, being a foal meant wearing diapers...and to be fair, she would’ve been an idiot not to expect that.





Shining Armor brought his regressed wife into Flurry's nursery, his daughter currently playing happily in her playpen without a care in the world.

But Flurry noticed when she saw her dad laying a foal down on the changing table and floating over a diaper. Being naturally quite curious, she flapped her wings and with a good deal of effort managed to flutter out of her playpen. She made her way over toward the changing table to get a good look at the newcomer. To her surprise, as she got closer she saw that the foal had a very familiar pink coat. "Daddy, that Mommy?" She asked.

Cadence let out a faint eep. She hadn't been expecting Flurry to discover her so soon. She'd hoped to make the introduction on her own terms.

Fortunately, Shining was able to quickly take control of the situation. "Yes, Flurry, it's Mommy. She turned herself into a foal so she could spend the day with you. But she's still your mommy, so you need to listen to her and behave yourself around her. And right now, she'd like you to give her some privacy while I get her all diapered up. You're okay with her borrowing one of your diapers, right?"

Flurry nodded. "I dun mind. Mommy be just wike me!" Then she fluttered away. "I wait for Mommy to get changed. Mommy look silly in diapee!"

Shining cooed as he completed the diapering job. "Sounds like your plan's already working pretty well, Cady. You're going to have a playmate, isn't that lovely?"

Cadence nodded at her husband as she was lifted off the changing table. She had to admire the job he'd done, the diaper was taped nice and snug around her rump while her tail poked out through the hole in the back. It crinkled and compressed nicely as she performed what limited movement she had while in the hold of her husband's magic. "Ya really good at tis." She told him.

"Years of experience, hon. I learned from the best," The prince smiled before he floated the regressed and diapered princess over to Flurry's playpen. "Don't be afraid to ask me if you need anything, Cady. You're a foal now, and foals need others to take care of them."

The regressed princess of love nodded as she lowered into the playpen. "Uh-huh, I know," Then she turned to greet her daughter, who was now the same size as her. "Hi, Fwuwwy. Is me, ya mommy."

Flurry Heart happily cooed as she trotted over, hugging her mom tightly. "Now ya wike daddy and Mw. Sunbuwst when tey get tuwned into foaws. Mommy gonna pway with me?"

Cadence smiled as she ended the hug and confirmed. "Uh-huh, and I awso gonna show ya how to use ya potty. I notice ya not using it much."

"I twying to, Mommy," Flurry sincerely replied. "I dun awways know when I have to go, and sometimes I having too much to stop. But I pwomice I twy to pay attention to wha ya show me."

"Good," The princess smiled again. "So, wha ya wike to do fow fun when ya not on ya potty or getting ya diapee changed?"

But before Flurry could answer, Shining trotted over and declared. "Well first, I think two little fillies need their nom-noms. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day after all."

Cadence blushed, now remembering her decision to forgo breakfast before casting the spell. A decision that now seemed incredibly short sighted since she would've probably had to have breakfast as a foal anyway the next morning before the spell wore off. "Bu we dun have a sepawate high chaiw fow me to eat in." She protested.

"Don't worry," Shining cooed as he picked up his wife and his daughter. "I've already got that taken care of. We made sure to have some extra foal supplies tucked away just in case. You'll see what I mean when we reach the dining room." And he led both foals away after setting them on the floor of the nursery, watching as Cadence clumsily waddled about while Flurry did so with ease.

Princess Cadence was somewhat surprised; She saw a spare highchair was waiting for her in the dining room. It seemed that Shining had prepared for this and she wondered what else he’d got for her. The prince had already secured Flurry Heart in her highchair, who was babbling away and kicking about in excitement. He then plopped his wife turned foal into the other highchair and made sure to latch the bar shut, subsequently tying a bib around her like he did for Flurry. "And to think I thought you were crazy for agreeing to keep all of my old foal supplies that my parents didn't need. I guess they'll come in handy for you, Cady bug." He cooed.

Cadence's cheeks flushed red while giggling. "Yeah, guess tey wiww," She then patted her belly and asked. "Ya gonna feed me now?"

"Oh of course, Cady," Shining cooed again and winked at his wife. "I very well can't let a foal like you eat by herself, can I? Not unless I want her making a mess. We must set a good example for Flurry to follow."

The regressed princess of love found it hard not to argue with that logic. Besides, she wasn't sure how much control she really had over herself at the moment.

The prince proceeded to sit down next to the highchairs. Once he was comfortable he brought over two bowls full of fresh, hot oatmeal and set one each on the highchair bars. "Okay, who wants to be fed first?" The stallion asked.

Although Flurry was pretty hungry herself, she was really excited to see her mom be fed in the same way she was, and so the young alicorn remained silent while Cadence raised up her hoof.

Shining scooted a bit closer to his wife, carefully picking up the spoon from the bowl and blowing on it to cool it off. "Gotta make sure it's not too hot, can't be too careful with foals you know."

Cadence couldn't help but groan at the display. "I know. I was a foawsittew, wemembew?"

"Yes, but now you're a cute little filly who needs to be reminded of that." Shining explained. "Now come on, Cady. Stop being a fussy pants and open wide for the choo-choo train!" He floated a spoonful of oatmeal slowly towards her.

The princess of love, eager to receive, opened her mouth as best she could. Once the oatmeal was deposited on her tongue and the spoon pulled back, she closed her mouth and swallowed. She was amazed at the taste as it traveled down her throat and into her stomach! "Wow! Tis is so good!"

Flurry Heart chimed in. "Ya huh! Daddy always makes ta best oatmeal!"

"Hey, my oatmeaw's not bad!" Cadence protested in a spat of jealousy.

"Now, now, you two, don't start fighting," Shining warned the foals while still cooing. "Oatmeal is oatmeal no matter who makes it." Then he brought another spoonful towards Cadence, who eagerly accepted it.

The process repeated itself for a couple of minutes until Cadence's bowl was completely empty. Despite her best efforts, a couple of traces of oatmeal had gotten stuck on her face and bib, something she found most embarrassing. And it was only made worse because she had to have her face wiped clean by her husband, all the while her daughter was laughing hysterically.

Shining quickly settled the matter as he told his daughter. "Flurry, you know it's not nice to make fun of other ponies for being a messy eater. You're not any better yourself, especially when it comes to Mashed Peas."

"But they taste yucky!" Flurry gagged and stuck out her tongue.

"Yes, but they're good for you. They help you grow up big and strong so you can be like Mommy, or like me." The prince replied.

Meanwhile, Cadence thought to herself. "I hope Shining doesn't try to feed me anything like that. If he does he's sleeping on the couch when I go back to being normal."





After Flurry's teasing remark, breakfast came and went with no further fanfare. She too was wiped clean by Shining, who then unlatched the highchair bars and floated the empty bowls over to the kitchen to be cleaned at a later time. He then set both alicorn foals carefully on the ground. "Okay, little ones. Now it's time to play. Daddy's got the whole day off to spend with you, so just let him know if you need anything."

Cadence started clumsily waddling along the floor again as she followed her husband. She found it rather tricky with the diaper between her legs, making her shuffle a bit clumsily. That wasn't even including the foal fat on her. She tried flapping her wings, wondering if she could even fly, and looked back to see how stubby they were. The princess just sighed as the realization came over with her silly waddling and her cute fluttering just like her daughter. She'd been born a pegasus, it shouldn't have been so hard for her to do it!

As if to rub salt in the wound, Flurry Heart was fluttering and flapping her wings with the greatest of ease. "Ya twying too hard, Mommy. Ya gotta wewax." She instructed.

The princess of love heeded her daughter's advice, relaxing and trying to let her body do the flapping and fluttering naturally. It was still nowhere near as precise as her daughter's movements.  Yet for Cadence it was good enough, though Flurry Heart had the advantage of being born with larger wings. She still wondered whose side of the family she inherited those from.

Shining just sat back and watched the adorable little scene unfold, and he couldn't help but clap his hooves and beam with pride. "Wow! Look at you, hon. For somepony who's only going to be a foal for a day, you sure are getting the hang of being one pretty fast. I'm almost jealous."

"Stop it! Ya just teasin' me!" Cadence protested as her blush returned.

"Hey, everypony likes a compliment," The prince cooed anew. "Be thankful I haven't made you do my diaper dance yet. Oh, you're gonna kill it! I just know it!"

Flurry giggled! "I love ya diapee dance, Daddy! It so siwwy!"

Shining nodded as he led the foals to the nursery. "Yes, it sure is, Flurry. And I'll bet you can't wait to show your mommy how to do it, just as she can't wait to teach you a few things."

"Weawwy?! Mommy gonna teach me someting?!" Flurry eagerly buzzed her tiny wings as her eyes seemed to widen.

The prince just gave a knowing wink, pushing open the door to the nursery. "Just wait and see, Flurry. But in the meantime, why don't you show your mommy all your favorite activities and toys that you like to play with?"

Flurry Heart didn't need to be told twice! In fact, she really didn't need the encouragement (not that it was terrible to receive it), she would've shared all her pastimes with her mom anyway. Still, she flew over to the playpen as her little horn began to spark. "I got some friends ya gotta meet, Mommy! I think ya know who tey awe."

Princess Cadence had a pretty good idea, and her heart was fluttering with excitement. She was really looking forward to this, spending all day with her daughter on her level. No meetings, no emergencies, nothing to get in the way of play (aside from naps). However, before she could take even one step forward, the regressed alicorn found her progress being halted by none other than her husband.

"Sorry, hon, but you need a change first." Shining half apologized/half cooed, floating his wife towards the changing table as his daughter briefly took notice before going back to her own interests.

Cadence blinked in disbelief. "Wha ya mean? I no need a change. I tink I'd know if I did anyting in my diapee."

"Oh really?" Shining replied with skepticism as he set Cadence down on the changing table's padded surface and brought up a hoof. "Then perhaps you could explain this?" He pressed a hoof against the diaper.

As soon as Shining's white hoof made contact with the diaper, the regressed princess of love felt it squish. But looking down at her diaper she really couldn't see a damp spot, the padding must've instantly soaked it up without her even realizing it. "I... I thought I felt someting fow a moment," She confessed. "But ten it disappeawed."

The prince snickered. "It's alright, I'm not judging you. You're a foal now, foals do that sometimes without knowing it. That's why we had you diapered, silly. Wouldn't have wanted you to leave a puddle for somepony to clean up," Then he levitated some changing supplies over and whispered. "Just relax, I'll get you into a fresh diaper soon."





Shining Armor was as good as his word (as he had plenty of practice with Flurry Heart by now). In only a minute he managed to toss the sodden padding into the trash, wipe his wife's soggy rear down good, and then tape her up into a freshly powdered diaper. He made sure to give it a few pats to make sure it was on nice and tight, which resulted in small traces of foal powder puffing out. "Oops! Probably overdid it on the powdering. Oh well, at least now we know you won't get a rash. That wouldn't be fun." He commented while setting Cadence down on the floor. Then he left to wash his hooves, confident his wife wouldn't get into any trouble while he was gone.

Flurry figured this was as good a time as any to show off her collection of stuffed animals to her mom with her dad gone. There was one in particular she was very fond of, and Cadence knew what it was. "Ya wemembew Wammy. Wight, Mommy?" Flurry asked.

The princess of love nodded. She remembered that stuffed snail being a present from Twilight Velvet, mentioning something about how every Sparkle family member had their own snuggle buddy when they were little. Also, she remembered when her daughter lost the plush at Ponyville and had caused some chaos there. "Ya pway with him aww ta time. Ya weawwy wove him."

Flurry clapped her hooves and exclaimed. "Uh-huh! I nevew go anywhere without him! And I can nevew go to sleep without him by my side."

Cadence smiled. "I gwad. Ya used to be so hawd to put down fow naps befowe I got ya Whammy. Dun know whewe ya got it fwom, ya gwandma tewws me she never had pwobwems getting ya daddy to take naps."

The young alicorn suggested. "Maybe I gots it fwom you, Mommy?"

The princess of love frowned at the suggestion. "I dun know about tat. I dun wemembew much about when I was a foaw. I didn't weawwy have a mommy and daddy. I dun know who my mommy and daddy wewe. I got taken in by two eawth ponies who say tey found me aww awone. And I dun wemembew much ewse about my foawhood untiw I got taken in by ya Aunt Celestia."

Flurry replied by hugging her mom tightly. "I sowwy ya not have a good foawhood, Mommy."

The regressed princess of love simply shrugged off the concern even while she accepted the hug. "Is okay. Tat just means ya gotta show me how to have the bestest foawhood evew fow today! Cause tomowwow I go back to being a gwown-up again."

Flurry Heart grinned, her horn starting to spark! "Weww, ya came to the wight pwace, Mommy! I taught Daddy and Mw. Sunbwust how to have fun when tey got turned into foaws. Now I gonna teach you!"

"I weady to weawn!" Cadence cheered with a smile on her face with her light purple eyes all aglow. The filly couldn't understand why but she was getting way more excited as she felt her foalish instincts overwhelm her.

"Otay then!" Flurry responded as she flapped her tiny wings again. "Just do what I do, and ya gonna have the bestest time ya evew had!"

The princess of love's heart fluttered at the idea! She'd been looking forward to this since discovering the spell that had turned her into a foal. She was finally going to get to have her own foalish adventure just like her husband had experienced after his accidental regression.





Shining Armor had already returned to the nursery by the time Flurry Heart was commencing her "lesson" on how to have fun as a foal. It really warmed his heart to see his daughter getting along so well with Cadence, treating the regression just as naturally as she had treated his own and Sunburst's. "Cadence and I must be doing something right raising Flurry if she's this outgoing and friendly." He thought to himself as he just stood in the nursery and watched the heartwarming scene unfold.

Flurry, meanwhile, taught Cadence all the ins and outs of being a foal. How to bounce on your diaper to reach great heights, how to suck on your hoof when there wasn't a pacifier around, how to waddle about in just the right way to make all the grown-ups aw and coo, you name it.

Princess Cadence proved to be a fast learner, and soon she was enjoying herself enormously whilst playing with her daughter. Together, the two foals passed the time alternating between activities such as playing pretend with stuffed animals, playing hide and go seek in the nursery (Shining forbid them from going anywhere else in the castle), playing with rattles or squeaky toys and even building a tower out of foam alphabet blocks.

It was this activity that the two little alicorns were engaged in (or rather destroying a tower they had just made) when Shining stood up and clapped his hooves. "Alright, you two. We can play together more later. But for right now, we have a potty break before lunch, and then after lunch it's time for all good little foals to take their naps."

"But I not tiwed." Cadence protested, kicking about and making a fuss.

"Me eithew." Flurry Heart also protested, shouting back.

Shining wasn't persuaded for even a second. "Maybe not yet, but after a hearty meal and some bottles of milk I think you'll be feeling pretty sleepy," Then he sniffed the air. "Huh, that's odd. I think I smell something stinky."

Flurry immediately pointed a hoof in accusation. "Is Mommy! She the stinky one!"

"Wha?! Fwuwwy!" The princess of love eeped in embarrassment as her diaper was pulled back for an inspection from her husband.

"No, the smell isn't coming from you, Cady," Shining declared. "And I know it can't be me. So that must mean-" As he spoke he trotted over to Flurry Heart's location, pulling his daughter's diaper back. His suspicions were soon proven correct. "Yup, just as I figured. It's actually Flurry Heart who's the stinky one."

The young alicorn blushed. "Sowwy, Mommy. I thought it was you, but I guess I wasn't paying attention."

"Oh, it's alright, Flurry. But you should've listened to what your body was telling you. Then you would've known you had to go potty," Shining declared as he used his magic to float his smelly daughter over to the changing table. "We'll get you cleaned up, and then Mommy's going to show you how you're supposed to go potty."

Cadence puffed out her chest, trying to seem important. "Uh-huh! Ya do what I do! I dun have accidents."

But even mid diaper change, Flurry protested. "Nu-uh, ya pee-peed yasewf eawiew, Mommy."

"At weast I didn't mess mysewf!" Cadence argued back as she watched the diaper change unfold.

The prince was quick to break up yet another argument before it could start. "Everypony has accidents. We don't make fun of them for it. But it's important that we pay attention to our bodies so that we can avoid having accidents in the first place. The potty exists for a reason after all." Then he finished up the diaper change, balling up the old diaper and dropping into the trash for disposal later.





After that, the stallion marched both little alicorns to the bathroom. And once he'd washed his hooves he trotted over to Cadence. "You ready to teach Flurry Heart what to do, hon?" He asked his wife.

The regressed princess of love nodded, this had been part of what had helped sweeten the deal for her husband after all. "Otay, Fwuwwy," She called, making sure to catch her daughter's attention. "Mommy's gonna teach ya the wight way to go potty."

Flurry only replied. "I already know, Mommy."

"Weww, I gonna teach ya anyway so ya can stawt doing it wike ya supposed to. Ya gotta twy hawdew," Cadence declared, before she looked over at the pink colored plastic bowl that was her daughter's training potty. "Now, ya gotta take off ya diapee befowe ya sit on the potty. Ten ya just sit down and wait untiw ya do whatevew ya need to do, ow untiw a gwown-up says ya can get up."

Shining used his magic to pull down Cadence's diaper, and he couldn't resist a faint snicker as he watched her waddle towards the training potty in such clumsy fashion. And he kept a watchful eye over her as she plopped down onto the potty, sitting there silently as she seemed to be concentrating intensely.

At last, a faint tinkling sound could be heard alongside a plop or two. When the noise faded after a few seconds, Cadence stood up, and beaming with pride she declared! "I did it!"

Shining clapped his hooves and instructed his daughter to do the same. "Good job, Cady! Just like a pro!" And to his daughter he then said. "See, Flurry? It's that easy. Think you can manage that the next time potty time rolls around?"

The young alicorn seemed to nod. "I'll twy."

The prince replied. "That's all we can ask for, Flurry," Then he turned to his wife. "I'll get you all cleaned up, dear. Just hold still." And with the soft glow of his horn he summoned wet wipes to clean Cadence's flank, discarding them in the trash can near the toilet. Then he picked up the training potty, pouring its contents into the toilet bowl as Cadence and Flurry watched. A mighty roar rang out as Shining pulled the handle to flush the toilet, sending all its contents away before he set the potty back down and went to rewash his hooves.

It was then that a very naughty idea came into Cadence's mind as she looked at the toilet. "Hey, Fwuwwy," She whispered. "Ya evew wondew whewe evewyting in the toilet goes when ya flush it?"

Flurry Heart nodded. "Uh-huh. It goes somewhewe, wight?"

The regressed princess of love replied with a smile. "Yup. I'ww show ya how if ya'd wike. Dun wowwy, I'ww be fine. Is just wike being on a watew swide!"

Flurry wasn't quite sure of that description, but her curiosity was too great to be ignored. "Otay. So how ya show me, Mommy?"

Cadence gestured to the toilet as she flew close to it. "Fowwow me to the toiwet, and watch cwosewy," She began to flap her wings, leading her daughter towards the great porcelain bowl. She turned back to look, seeing that Shining was still too busy washing his hooves to notice what was going on. "Otay," The princess of love told her daughter. "Ya watching?" When she received a confirming nod, she proceeded to declare. "Hewe I go!" Then without hesitation, she used her magic to pull the toilet handle down. And once the flush cycle had started, she jumped into the bowl as she discarded her diaper without fanfare!

Flurry's gaze was transfixed on the toilet as she watched her mom spin around and around in the waters of the toilet bowl, bound for who knew where?

But at that moment, Shining came rushing towards the toilet at a breakneck speed! "Cadence!" He gasped in fright! "What are you doing?! Get out of there before it's too late!" He began to light up his horn, preparing to fish his wife out before the toilet could suck her down!

However, the young alicorn with a lovely pink coat had another idea in mind. Despite spinning around and around, she wasn't getting dizzy. And she had enough concentration to light up her horn, just as the waters started to retreat towards the drain!

A horrified Shining peered down into the bowl as he saw his wife disappear in a flash! Had she managed to teleport out in time?! He hoped so, considering that just seconds after the flash the waters retreated down the drain. And when they refilled Cadence was nowhere in sight!

The flush cycle ended and the handle reset to its original position, and it was then Shining and Flurry became aware of a giggle coming from just down the hall from the bathroom. Scooping up his daughter, the stallion quickly trotted out of the bathroom and toward the source of the giggling.

Cadence was escaping through an open windowsill that let sunlight into the palace. "Can't catch me!" She teased in a foalish tone of voice, before fluttering out the windowsill and towards the streets of the Crystal Empire!

"Cadence, come back!" Shining shouted, even though his wife was soon out of hearing range. He let out an unhappy sigh as he looked down at his daughter. "I might've known this would happen. Her foalish side is taking over. Looks like we'll have to go out and track her down, no way am I leaving you behind to get into trouble."

Flurry, for her part, whimpered. "I sowwy, Daddy. I not know Mommy was twying to trick me."

The prince sympathetically told his daughter. "You probably didn't realize what was happening. Neither did I at first. I thought something was off when your mom was looking at the toilet, but I pushed it to the back of my mind," Then he made sure to remind her. "But don't ever think about doing what your mom just did. It's not acceptable."

"I'ww be good, no twick Daddy ow Mommy." Flurry Heart promised as she saw her dad whip out the foal buggy and place her into it.

Shining Armor nodded. "I'm sure you will be, Flurry. Now come on, we need to try and track down Cadence before somepony sees her."

A part of Cadence felt bad about the little prank she'd just pulled on her husband, but her foalish instincts were in full control now and all they could think about was how much fun she was going to have. The little princess of love was going to experience her own little adventure throughout the Crystal Empire.

But the young alicorn hadn't been flying for long when she was made aware of a reality, her bare naked bottom. Despite the Crystal Heart keeping the Frozen North's ice and snow out, it couldn't completely contain the cold winds that blew from it. Every so often a cold gust of wind would slip in, and one such breeze assaulted Cadence's exposed and diaperless rear. It was a good thing she'd already gone potty, but even so the cold breeze made her blush right red with embarrassment.

Princess Cadence didn't want to let that stop her, but she also knew it was going to look mighty weird for a foal to ask for a diaper to put on. Most foals loved running around naked if they got a chance. And there was also the matter of there not being any other alicorn foals besides Flurry Heart. The princess of love knew she couldn't be mistaken for her daughter, ponies would be sure to think something was up if they saw her like this and they might stop her from having fun.

Well, those were worries for another time and place. "I'm sure Shining Armor will find me and take me back to the castle without anypony else being any the wiser," Princess Cadence thought to herself. "And he'll probably put me in timeout for being such a naughty foal."

So the little alicorn kept on flying until finally her tiny wings grew tired. Slowly, she lowered herself to the ground and started to trot. Without a diaper to weigh her down she had way more freedom in her movements, so that was a plus. Yet for some strange reason, the regressed princess of love was starting to feel just a tad bit tired. She tried to shake it off. "I not weawwy tiwed," She said to herself as she tried to fight back against her own body. "I pwobabwy just hungy 'cause I haven't had wunch yet."

Suddenly, out of the corner of her eyes, Cadence spotted somepony very familiar approaching her location. A crystal earth pony mare with a sandy yellow coat. She had big green eyes and a blonde, flowing mane and tail. Her cutie mark depicted the crystal berries that were a popular delicacy in the Crystal Empire. She was pushing a stroller that had a bright green crystal pony foal with a lock of light yellow for a mane, and the foal had beautiful blue eyes. It was Sunstone and her daughter Gemstone! Gemstone in particular was one of Flurry's foal friends.

Knowing that there was no way she could hope to outrun the approaching mother and daughter, and seeing that there was no place to hide, Cadence did the only thing she could think of to avoid being found out. She hastily lit up her horn as she tucked her wings into her side, hopefully she had enough magic left to make this work!

Sunstone arrived on the scene a moment later, and brought the stroller containing her daughter to a halt when she noticed a strange looking little filly standing by the side of the road. This foal had a purplish-pink coat, similarly colored eyes and a mane and tail consisting of candy pink and white locks in alternating stripes. Weirdest of all though, Sunstone noticed that the foal had wings and a horn. "Oh my goodness!" She exclaimed as she gazed upon the little one! "What are you doing out here all by yourself, little filly? Are you lost?"

Surprisingly enough, the alicorn foal replied. "Yeah, I am."

Sunstone quickly bent down, scooping the foal up. "Oh dear. I guess it's a good thing I found you, then," She eyed the alicorn foal with suspicion. "You look strangely familiar, do I know you from somewhere?"

The alicorn foal seemed to fight back a gulp as she answered. "Nu-uh. I.... Candy Heawt! I a cousin of Pwincess Cady and Fwuwwy Heawt." And she seemed to nod in confirmation.

The mare didn't seem to suspect anything. "Odd, I never knew Cadence and Flurry Heart had cousins. You must be a long lost relative or something," Then she asked. "Tell me, little one, where are your parents? You must have them."

Candy Heart whimpered in reply. "I dun know whewe tey awe! I been twying to find tem bu I keep getting wost."

Sunstone replied by patting Candy Heart lightly on the forehead. "Oh, there there, don't cry. I'm sure we'll find your mommy and daddy soon enough. They're probably out looking for you as we speak. And in the meantime, you can stay with me. I'm sure my daughter won't mind, she's friends with everypony." She proceeded to lower the foal into the stroller.

Gemstone greeted the new foal warmly. "Hi ya, Candy Heawt. I Gemstone, nice to meet ya."

Candy Heart nervously answered. "Nice to meet ya too, Gemstone. Fwuwwy Heawt says ya a weawwy good fwiend."

At that Gemstone became suspicious. "How do ya know tat? Tat a secwet Fwuwwy Heawt onwy teww me and Mw. Sunbuwst when he get tuwned into a foaw accidentawwy."

The alicorn foal gulped. She seemed to struggle to come up with an answer, before suddenly something seemed to come to her. "Oh, tat 'cause Fwuwwy Heawt wite wettews to me. I guess hew mommy and daddy hewp hew with tem."

The little earth pony seemed to buy the explanation, though not without shooting her new stroller mate a look that seemed to imply she wasn't entirely convinced by Candy Heart's answers.

Sunstone took no notice, she just laughed it off. "Oh, that's so cute that you and Flurry Heart keep in touch in your own way," She began to push the stroller down the road again. "I was just on my way to drop my little Gemstone off at the Crystal Playplace, actually. I think you'll be better off there, and your mommy and daddy may already be there, looking for you," Then she noticed something. "Say, where's your diaper, Candy Heart?"

"Dun need one! I in potty twaining!" Candy Heart boasted!

The mare cooed at the declaration. "Well, potty training or not, you can't go around without protection. If you had an accident there'd be nothing to contain it," Then she smiled. "Lucky for you, I always pack spare diapers for my little Gemstone. I'm sure one of them could fit you well enough."

Candy Heart whimpered in protest as she was picked up and her rump was powdered anew, before she was gently lowered into a plain, white diaper that was taped up around her.

Sunstone smiled as she then resumed the journey, pushing the stroller along while whistling a merry tune to herself. All the while her big green eyes glowed at the prospect of her daughter having another friend to play with.

Upon entering the Crystal Playplace a short time later, Sunstone and the foals were greeted by a sparkling snow white coated crystal unicorn with blue eyes that sparkled like diamonds and a lovely lavender mane and tail. Said mare had a cutie mark depicting a smiling sun. She was the head caretaker at the daycare center. "Oh, hello again, Mrs. Sunstone," She cheerfully greeted her guest. "You here to drop off little Gemstone for another day of fun?"

Sunstone nodded her head. "Indeed I am, Snow Heart, though I also brought along a visitor," She picked up the pinkish-purple colored alicorn foal and presented her to Snow Heart. "This is Candy Heart, Flurry Heart's cousin. Apparently, she lost her mommy and daddy and doesn't know where to find them."

Snow Heart let out a gasp as she inspected the new foal! "Oh dear, that's horrible! Well, she's welcome to stay here until they can be found. Flurry Heart visits here all the time. And I'm sure Candy Heart here will make plenty of friends."

Sunstone seemed to agree. "If you can look after her and Gemstone for me, I'd really appreciate it. It's not good for a little one to be lost in the Crystal Empire." 

The caretaker sighed, seeing that this might be another regressed adult. Still, she decided to keep that information to herself as she was advised. "But I'd keep my eye on Candy Heart if I were you. I don't know what it is, but I get the feeling she's going to be a little trouble maker."

Snow Heart just giggled as she picked up Candy Heart. "Nonsense. I'm sure she'll be just as well behaved as her cousin. Isn't that right, Candy Heart?"

Candy Heart seemed to gulp and nod. "Uh... wight. But uh... I in potty twaining just so ya know. So I dun need a diapee."

"Sorry, but all little ones have to wear diapers around here. We're fresh out of pull-ups at the moment," Snow Heart apologized. "Besides, you have to earn your big pony privileges before you can wear pull-ups. That's the rules around here."

Candy Heart just pouted.

Snow Heart giggled anew. "Oh my, someone sure is a fussy foal. I'll bet you're just cranky because you haven't had your nap yet. Nopony likes a cranky foal. Lucky for you, I know just how to fix that." And she carried her newest charge away, smiling and flashing a knowing wink.

Candy Heart knew what that meant.





While Sunstone was delivering Candy Heart and Gemstone to the Crystal Playplace, Shining Armor was trotting through the streets of the Crystal Empire with Flurry Heart in tow. He occasionally glanced down at her in the foal buggy, making sure his daughter was still there and hadn't escaped. "You holding up okay, sweetie?" He asked after stopping for a little bit (pushing the buggy through the streets was exhausting work, even with his magic).

Flurry Heart just suckled on a pacifier as she was looking around for mommy. She didn't want to cause her father anymore troubles right now. "Uh-huh, I good," Then she whimpered a bit. "But I wowwied about Mommy. Is she in twoubwe?"

"Only a little," Shining reassured his worried daughter. "I know she didn't mean to cause a commotion, she thought it would be funny. But it's just like when Sunburst and I were foals and we wandered away, you remember how worried all the grown-ups were then, right?"

Flurry nodded again. "Uh-huh, tey got supew scawed."

The stallion then replied. "That's because they feared something bad might have happened. And that's what worries me the most right now," But he was quick to add. "I doubt your mommy could've gotten into too much trouble, up until her escape she was really well behaved. But we need to track her down just to be sure she's okay."

The little alicorn seemed to be relieved by that, as she slowly sank back into her buggy and rested her head.

"I know, you're probably very tired," Shining commented as he looked down at his daughter. "Once we find Cadence and get her back to the castle, you're both going to take naps so you can be nice and refreshed." In the back of his mind he thought. "I could probably use one too. We really need to get Flurry a bigger buggy, she's getting too big for this one." And then he resumed pushing the buggy as the stallion went back to his search.

Eventually, as luck would have it, the prince happened upon a very familiar face. He soon recognized the sandy yellow coated crystal pony mare before him, it was none other than Sunstone.

Sunstone quickly took notice of the prince's troubled face and asked. "What's the matter, Prince Shining Armor?"

Shining had to pause for a moment to catch his breath and speak clearly. "It's Cadence, she's missing."

"What do you mean?" Sunstone asked with concern. "Did the changelings kidnap her or something?!"

The stallion shook his head. "No, she kind of ran off on her own. You're not gonna believe this, but she turned herself into a foal. And I guess her foalish instincts took over, because she played a rather nasty trick on me and fled through a window."

Sunstone took the news surprisingly well. "Sounds a lot like when Sunburst got turned into a foal accidentally. Or when you got turned into a foal. I guess it was only a matter of time before it would happen to Cadence."

Shining blushed despite his better instincts. The memories were still fresh in his mind even though he'd tried his best to forget. "Yeah, I guess I really should've seen it coming, especially after how much of a trouble maker I was during my second foalhood," He did his best to regain his composure by coughing into a hoof. "Well, I've already searched almost half of the empire, but I haven't found her yet."

But just then, something came to the mare. "You know, now that I think about it, there was something really off about Candy Heart. Something I couldn't put my hoof on..."

Shining's ears perked up as he locked eyes with Sunstone. "Candy Heart? Who is that?"

"She was an alicorn foal who said she was a cousin of Flurry Heart," Sunstone explained. "She didn't look quite like Princess Cadence, but now that I think about it again she looked really similar."

"That must've been Cadence!" Shining realized as a wide smile formed on his face! "Quick, where is she?! Where can I find her?!"

"I dropped Candy Heart off at the Crystal Playplace with my little Gemstone," Sunstone explained. "You don't think..."

"-Only one way to find out. We'd better get over there on the double!" Shining declared as a renewed sense of urgency came to him! And with a strength he hadn't known for a while he began to push Flurry's foal buggy again, bound for the Crystal Playplace with Sunstone not far behind.





Cadence fluttered her eyes open very slowly, relieved that her "Candy Heart" disguise had worked and had not worn off yet. It had taken quite a lot of magic for her to pull it off, and she didn't think she had any left in her at the moment. Sure enough, when she tried to light up her horn all she could do was produce a few faint sparks of light blue colored magic. "Well, at least I still have my wings." She thought to herself, hoping to use them for a possible escape if necessary.

But before the disguised princess could think of doing anything else, she was lifted from the crib she'd been placed in and held within the soft pink glow of Snow Heart's magic. "Hello, Candy Heart," She greeted in a warm, almost maternal tone of voice. "Or I guess I should say Princess Cadence."

Cadence's heart skipped a beat. "Ya knew?"

Snow Heart nodded. "Your husband arrived just a short time ago and explained everything to me. It's time for you to go back to the palace."

The regressed princess of love couldn't argue with that, and strangely enough, because of that little nap she'd taken she felt rather refreshed. She also felt uncomfortably cold though, and damp to boot. Looking down at herself, she soon realized why, just as she was being placed on a changing table. "I pee-peed mysewf again, bu how?"

Snow Heart giggled as she brought up some wet wipes. "Probably that bottle. A foal's bladder can be very unpredictable sometimes. It's okay, I'll get you cleaned up. Hold still please."

Princess Cadence cooperated to the best of her ability, resisting the urge to wiggle when the wet wipes made contact with her flank after her very soggy diaper was pulled down and tossed into a trash can. Still, she knew it could've been worse. She was glad she hadn't messed herself, yet.

Snow Heart, for her part, was quick as a flash and got the diaper change done in what had to be record time! Afterward, she washed her hooves and then set the regressed princess of love down on the floor. "Come on, let's get you back to your husband. I know he'll be happy to see you again."

And indeed, Shining Armor was. "Oh, thank Celestia you're okay, hon!" He exclaimed as he brought his regressed wife in for a hug and nuzzled her.

Cadence hung her head as she apologized. "I sowwy. I just wanted to have a adventuwe."

The prince just cooed as he floated his wife over to the foal buggy, strapping her in next to Flurry Heart. "Well I'd say you did. Tracking you down was an adventure and a half on top of everything else you've already done."

"Ya not mad at me?" Cadence nervously asked as she looked up at her husband.

"Oh, I am a little bit, but I can't stay mad at somepony as cute as you," Shining replied while making goo goo eyes. "There'll be plenty of time for your punishment when we get back to the castle. But for right now, I think you have something you wanna say to Miss Snow Heart here?"

The regressed alicorn looked up at the unicorn caretaker and without hesitation she said to the mare. "Tank ya fow taking cawe of me."

Snow Heart just waved a hoof. "Think nothing of it. You should be thanking Mrs. Sunstone. She was the one who found you and brought you here," And she added. "And I do hope you bring Flurry Heart here again soon. It feels like your daughter hasn't graced this place with her presence in ages."

"We'll have to schedule an appointment sometime, maybe for the next royal summit." Shining suggested, before he pushed the buggy with both foals inside out of the playplace's double doors and back out onto the streets of the Crystal Empire.





Once the trio returned to the Crystal Empire, Shining Armor took Cadence out of the foal buggy, and brought her and Flurry Heart back to the nursery before he laid out the terms of his wife's punishment. "Well, Cadence, I can't think of a better time to have you fulfill a certain agreement we had earlier."

Cadence gulped as she saw her husband not so subtly levitating over a bottle of foal powder. "Ya dun mean-"

Shining grinned. "-Oh I do. So go ahead, dear. Let's see how well you can pull off my diaper dance. Maybe if you do good enough, I won't punish you any further." He then proceeded to pour the entire bottle's worth into the back of Cadence's diaper.

The regressed princess of love started jumping and bouncing all about, trying to shake out the excess foal powder as it spilled out from the leg holes and onto the floor! All the while Flurry Heart and Shining Armor both watched and giggled at the hilariously adorable display being performed.

Princess Cadence continued to try to shake out the foal powder, feeling completely helpless the whole time and just knowing that Shining probably wished he had a camera with which to take pictures. She was relieved when at last, it seemed she got all the foal powder out and could finally stop with the dancing. But as she did so, she became aware of another problem as she felt something move inside of her, and the next thing she knew her tail was hiking upwards. She eeped in embarrassment!

"Oopsie!" Shining couldn't help but giggle. "I guess you danced a little too well, hon. We'd better get you cleaned up again."

Flurry poked her padded rump meanwhile, and teased. "Ha ha, Mommy messy!"

The prince quickly (yet lightly) scolded his daughter. "Uh-uh-uh, Flurry Heart. You remember what we talked about earlier. We don't make fun of other ponies for their accidents. So unless you wanna do the diaper dance too, don't be making fun of your mommy for what she did in her diaper."

Cadence added despite her embarrassment. "Yeah, is not nice to make fun of other ponies when tey potty in their diapees." Then she felt herself be picked up by her husband's magic and floated over to the changing table.

The smell hardly seemed to bother Shining as he quickly had the old diaper removed and balled up in the trash, and just as quickly had his wife's rump wiped clean until it was spotless. Then after sprinkling in considerably less foal powder this time, he taped her up in a brand new diaper and gave it a pat. "There we are, good as new. And just in time for your nap too."

"Do I have to?" Cadence pouted. She'd already had a nap and didn't see the point of another one.

"Well it's either that or you go in the timeout corner until Flurry gets done with her nap," The prince pointed out. "I figured you would prefer the lesser of the two evils. Don't worry, you'll still have plenty of time to enjoy the rest of your day as a foal."

Reluctantly, the regressed princess of love agreed. "Fine, I take anothew nap even though I dun wanna."





The rest of the day was considerably less "exciting" though by no means boring. Princess Cadence made the most out of the time she had and really seemed to get into being a foal, which only made her all the more saddened at the prospect that she would have to leave it all behind tomorrow.

In fact, Cadence almost didn't want the day to end and secretly wished the day could last forever (or at least be extended). Alas, she was powerless to stop the passage of time when she was bathed and put to bed that night.

And it wasn't long after the next morning dawned that the spell wore off, Cadence returning to normal as the diaper she'd been wearing ripped off and was reduced to little shreds of white fabric.

"Welcome back to the world of grown-ups, Cadence," Shining greeted his wife once she'd regained her senses. "How do you feel?"

The princess of love was slow to respond as she had to shake off the mental cobwebs. "...Normal, I guess. At least I can talk without that lisp," She then blushed bright red. "I'm really sorry I was so much of a hoofful yesterday. Like I told Flurry, I didn't exactly get a proper or even really a normal foalhood when I was an actual foal. So I guess part of me wanted to experience what I never got to experience as an actual foal."

Shining simply nuzzled his wife. "Hey, all things considered you weren't any worse than I was or Sunburst was during our regressions. And I think Flurry really enjoyed having you for a playmate, as well as teaching her how to use the potty."

"I definitely have more of an understanding of what you and Sunburst went through during your experiences," The alicorn with a lovely pink coat commented. "But I guess now that means the cycle's complete, I can't be a foal again."

"Not unless you can find somepony else to be your caretaker and keep an eye on you," Shining pointed out. "Besides, now you know how our daughter sees the world and should know how to connect with her on her level," Then he giggled. "And you did a really good job with my diaper dance."

Cadence couldn't help but giggle. "Well, I had an excellent teacher. Seeing you do it and then pass it on to Flurry Heart definitely helped."

The prince nodded. "Indeed it did," Then he declared. "Now come on. Why don't you go see what Flurry Heart remembers? Another day off from holding court won't hurt, it doesn't seem like anypony really needed to meet with you." And with that he nudged his wife towards their daughter's nursery, hopeful that the experience of being a foal again would prove insightful.
