January 13, 1067 (20 years after Princess Twilight's coronation and the end of the war)
Somewhere in the woods, outskirt of Griffonstone

Gallus ran through the woods, towards the cabin the myserteous old Griffon told him about. Gallus is a new member of the ERAF of the Mage squadron, he was requested by Princess Twilight to find a Griffon named Wing Blade, most of the reason behind him is classified until Gallus completes the mission, all Twilight told him is that Wing Blade is a critical key to their Air Force.

The tension between Equestria and the Diamond Dogs tightened after it's reported that the Diamond Dogs attacked a team of Equestrian Border Patrol Forces and killed them. After some unsuccessful reasoning with their Alpha, Equestria has no choice but to declare war on the Diamond Dogs. And all Gallus know is that this "Wing Blade" Twilight told him about can determent the result of the war.

Gallus quickly trotted through the woods, he saw a medium sized wooden cabin in the middle of an empty field, clearly the field and the garden is man-made, "He must be here." Gallus muttered as he stepped through the garden towards the front door. As he got closer, he spotted many vegetables were planted inside the garden, he raised an eyebrow, aren't Griffons carnivores? This dude is an omnivore? He focused on the front door, the front of the cabin is just plain, nothing too special. Gallus double checked the paper to make sure he's at the right place, then he raised his talons and knocked the door lightly three times.

A few seconds later, the lock of the door cracked and it opened from inside, revealing a male Griffon around his mid 30s, he had black feathers, golden talons, four small silver feathers sticking out top of his head, blue eyes, and a scar that runs along his left eye. Gallus couldn't help but glue a little, he looked almost like a badass.

"Can I help you young one?" he asked, in a confused and cautious tone, seems like he wasn't expecting a visitor.

"Uh... Yeah," Gallus said as he pulled out his paper signed by Princess Twilight herself, "I'm looking for a Griffon name Wind Blade, it says that he lives somewhere near this place, may I ask where?"

The Griffon's expression froze a bit upon hearing the name, but he recovered quickly, "Wind Blade? Hmm... That would be me. We can talk inside, it's not like I have visitors everyday." he said as he waved Gallus in. Gallus walked into his house as the Wind Blade closes the door, the young Griffon pilot took a brief check at his surroundings; it was an old-fashioned room with normal everyday-life stuff, the only thing that made it different is a Fighter Jet model on top of Wind Blade's desk.

"Is that a... model of a Su-37 Terminator?" Gallus couldn't help but asked.

"Hm? Oh, yes, you seemed to know some stuff about military aircrafts... So, you serve in ERAF?" this question took Gallus off-guard.

"Uh... Yes?" he answered, a bit uncomfortably.

This made Wind Blade chuckled slightly, "Now, theres no need of nervousness, I'm a veteran, I know that look in your eyes the moment you stepped in, and your walking pace."

"Wait, you're watching me the whole time?" Gallus asked.

"Sorry, but it's my soldier instinct, couldn't help it." Wind Blade shrugged, "So, what brings you here?"

"It was from her highness," Gallus said, "she said that she need to ask you if you know what happened to Scarface." He noticed the slightly surprised expression on Wind Blade's face, but he hid it well.

"I don't remember Celestia requesting me again." He said.

"Uh... Celestia retired." Gallus corrected, Wind Blade's eyes widened for a few seconds.

"Pardon me?"

"Celestia and Luna retried from their thrones 10 years ago, and the new Princess of Equestria is Twilight Sparkle." Gallus said, earning another chuckle from the Griffon.

"Ah, seems like I'm a bit out-of-time huh?" Wind Blade sighed a bit before returning to topic, "So, what did you know bout Scarface and what do you want to know about him?"

"Well, as a fighter pilot, I was taught that Scarface is a Griffon that betrayed his country and helped the ERAF during the Equestrian-Griffonian War 20 years ago. No one really knows about his name, only his nickname Scarface. And he flys in his fighter jet "Golden Falcon 13", which is a Su-37 Terminator." Gallus said, not noticing Wind Blade's knowing expression, "He had over 56 confirmed kills, injured more than 100 enemy aircrafts, and only shot down twice throughout the entire war, he was feared by his enemies and was called "The Yellow Demon". After the end of the war, Scarface then settle down and live alone from the crowds, as for his location is classified." Gallus finished, noticing Wind Blade staring into the space.

"Uh... Mister Wind Blade?" he asked, waving his talons in front of him.

"Huh? Oh, sorry, it reminds me of something..." Wind Blade said. Silence grew between them, minutes had passed, Wind Blade seemed to be stuck in a deep thought, until he finally sighed.

"Well, I guess so..."he muttered, "Alright, I'll come with you to Cantrlot, but before I leave, I have to show you something I've never shown the others since the war."

Gallus nodded before following him, then realization hit him, wait a sec... Did he just say 'I've never shown the others since the war'?

He followed Wind Blade to his backyard, the veteran then patted the oak tree in the middle of the yard in a rhythm of three hard pats, two light pats, two hard pats, and four light pats. Then the ground underneath them began to rumble, a secret passage appeared underneath the tree.

"Follow me." then Wind Blade led the confused yet curious pilot into the passage. On their way down, Gallus spotted many photographs that looked like it was taken during the Equestrian-Griffonian War, Equestrian medals and objects were hanged on the wall. Why does a Griffon veteran had Equestrian medals? He thought.

They reached a huge metal door that required the scan of Wind Blades eyes, he quickly scanned and confirmed the system, then the metal door opened, revealing an aircraft hanger, a HUGE one, but its quite empty. Wind Blade turned and flashed him a smirk before turning on the light. Gallus have to shut his eyes fro a few moment before reopening them again, but what he saw made his jaw dropped to the floor.

In front of him is a military fighter jet, a REAL-LIFE, FUNCTIONAL, fighter jet. As he studied it closer, he realize that it is a Su-37 Terminator, like the model on Wind Blade's desk, but as he approached to the head of the jet, he spotted something, at first saw the Su-37's wing-tips were in golden camouflage, looks familiar... Then he saw a logo of an Fighting Falcon head painted on its left tail, a golden falcon... Seen it somewhere before... Lastly he saw three numbers at the left side of the head, right underneath the cockpit, and then numbers suddenly hit him hard on his head;

013

No, no, no, no... It cannot be... Gallus felt like his brain is getting stomped on by hooves, his heart racing. A golden camouflaged jet along with a golden Fighting Falcon logo, AND the numbers "013" painted... Then that means...

He turned to Wind Blade, who's crossing his arms while smirking.

"Y-You are..." He stammered.

"Welp, I guess there's no hiding now," he said, clearing his throat while standing straight like a soldier in military, "I am Scarface, pilot of this Su-37 Terminator, I'm the ghost, I'm the phantom. I am the 'Golden Falcon 13'."

Silence.

"I-It WAS YOU THE WHOLE TIME?!" Gallus nearly shouted in disbelief, "YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT YOU'RE THE MOST DEADLIEST PILOT THAT HAVE OVER 56 CONFIRMED KILLS AND KNOWN AS 'KING OF THE SKY'?!"

"Actually, it was 57 kills, including that poor bastard who tried to ram me." Wind 'Scarface' Blade corrected, "But they never confirmed it."

Then it was some intense Q&A time.

(20 minutes later)

"So you're telling me that this new Princess Twilight Sparkle wanted me back? In the new ERAF?" he asked, sounding intersected, Gallus nodded, "Heh, well, seems like they finally thought of me. Alright, I'll come with you. On the second talon, I haven't seen the ERAF for a while, see if some of my comrades are still there."

"Thank you sir, your service will be honored." Gallus saluted before leading Wind Blade out.

This is just the beginning, the real FUN part begins later... As the Falcon finally RETURNS to the skies above...

(Yes, I know this first story is a bit boring, but it kinda make things clear for the sequel, I wasn't expecting many to like this, but if you do I hope you enjoyed it.)
