A few short stories about Celestia and Luna and what they do.
Whenever there's a big crisis, Celestia and Luna come in to help The Mane Six and other ponies in need. But on nice and normal days, The Mane Six hardly see the two sisters at all. What did Celestia and Luna do in their castle? Let's find out.
It was night time and Celestia was in her room fast asleep. She had spent the whole day working her hardest and was exhausted. She had read letters that ponies had sent her, lured away Timberwolves from the public woods that ponies visited and baked a cake for one of her guards that was celebrating his birthday.
Suddenly, Celestia woke up to hear the sound of screaming.
Celestia got out of bed and stepped outside her room. She didn't know what was going on, was somepony in danger? Was there an accident? She didn't know.
She walked over to where Luna's bedroom was and heard the screaming again.
Celestia knocked on Luna's door, "Luna? Luna??" Celestia called out panicking. "Are you alright?"
"We are most excellent, sister!" Luna called out in reply and made a "WHOOHOO" sound.
Luna had a tendency to say "we" even when she was alone and not referring to any other pony but herself. It was a tradition she and her sister had done a thousand years ago, but things had changed and Luna was still struggling to speak how every other pony spoke.
Celestia paused and then leaned her ear closer to the door and heard a thumping noise followed by squeaking.
"Oh dear," Celestia murmured and put her hoof to her head.
A guard walked over to Celestia, looked at Celestia, looked at the door and then back at Celestia.
"Is everything alright your majesty?" Asked the guard. "Everything is fine" Said Celestia with a sigh. "Are you sure, it sounds like Princess Luna is in danger." Said the guard, pointing to the door. "Trust me, she's not in any danger." Said Celestia rolling her eyes.
Celestia banged on the door so Luna could hear her.
"Luna!" Celestia yelled, "I'm trying to sleep, can you keep it down?" "Nay, sister!" Yelled Luna, "We shall not cease." "But it's past my bedtime, I should be sleeping." "Then go sleep somewhere else, Tia." Said Luna
"UGH!" Celestia shouted and stormed off with the guard following her. "What is Luna exactly doing in there, your majesty." Asked the guard. "I think it's best you don't find out." Celestia said, walking away to find another place to sleep.
Meanwhile, Luna is in her bedroom jumping on her bed, looking incredibly joyful.
"This is glorious, we shall jump the highest on this bed!" She shouted.
"Sister is going to be very impressed with us" Said Luna, walking down the hall.
It was Nightmare Night and every year, Celestia and Luna would be putting up decorations and carving pumpkins. Luna liked celebrating Nightmare Night more than Celestia, the holiday was about Luna after all. Luna had done lots of big things the last few Nightmare Nights she celebrated. One year she dressed up as a necromancer and raised the dead, the next year she dressed up as a big monster to scare Celestia and finally last year she dressed as her favorite superhero, Bat-Mare.
"Sister will love what we've done, she will be amazed by our work." Said Luna smiling.
Celestia was at the end of the hall, she turned and looked at Luna.
"Luna! What did you do?" Shouted Celestia. "Whatever do you mean, Tia?" Luna asked.
Celestia led Luna to the balcony and pointed to the telescope. "What did you do?" Celestia repeated.
Luna looked through the telescope to see the moon. The Moon had been carved into like it was a jack-o-lantern.
"Do you like it, sister?" Asked Luna smiling. "No! It's the moon, why did you carve into the moon?" Shouted Celestia. "We read thy text. You said we were going to carve the moon." Said Luna. "I texted saying I wanted to carve ON the moon, I wanted to carve pumpkins on the moon." Corrected Celestia. "Oh" Said Luna.
Princess Luna loves videogames. She puts discs in her computer, gets her headset on, plays the role of any character and does whatever she wants in each game. Luna discovered videogames after travelling to different places in Equestria that had more advanced contraptions than what Ponyville and Canterlot had. One of Luna's absolute favorite games was a game called Skyrise. One day, she decided to introduce her sister, Princess Celestia to the game.
"I don't want to play it, Luna, it seems too hard." Said Celestia shaking her head. "Come now, sister," Said Luna, "It's not that difficult, we have faced far more worse challenges than this." "It doesn't even look right, I'm going to play a human who has to....ride on a horse, that does not sound pleasant." Said Celestia, feeling disturbed while looking at the box the game came in. "Well it's not like horses are intelligent in this game, at least, not this horse in particular." Said Luna. Celestia raised an eyebrow and asked, "What do you mean by that?" "Nothing, let's just play." Said Luna, holding up the controller with her magic. "Fine." Said Celestia agreeing to play the game.
Luna and Celestia picked characters for Skyrise. Luna was a tall thin blue woman with pointy ears, red eyes and had sharp teeth. Celestia had picked a normal pale skinned woman with blonde hair and blue eyes. The two sisters then began to play the game, they travelled through long grassy fields, fought wolves, and even slayed a dragon, much to Celestia's displeasure.
Finally, Luna and Celestia made it to a level where they got to see unicorns much like them.
"They look beautiful, Luna." Said Celestia admiring the unicorns. "Indeed," Said Luna, "One of them is wearing a necklace we need to give to a princess." "Well how do we know for sure none of these unicorns is the princess?" Asked Celestia. Luna frowned, "Tia, that is not how this game works." She said. "Well maybe this isn't a level you know all about, maybe this unicorn really is a princess." Said Celestia pointing to a black unicorn with red eyes. "Tia! No!" Shouted Luna, "That is the unicorn you should stay away from." "Why? Are you afraid she'll throw us in a dungeon?" Said Celestia smirking. "Sister, that is not a princess or a nice unicorn." "Relax, Luna, I got this." Said Celestia making her character walk up to the unicorn.
Celestia's character got up close to the unicorn and Celestia looked at her controls.
"Which button do I press to bow?" Asked Celestia. Luna looked at Celestia and then said, "Press the Y button."
Celestia pressed the Y button on her controller and her character let out a big shout that sent the black unicorn flying into a wall.
"You said that would make me bow." Said Celestia.
The black unicorn got up and sparks began to glow from it's horn. Finally, a huge red beam of light came straight out of it's horn and hit Celestia's character, turning her to dust.
"We tried to warn you, sister." Said Luna with a smile.
