> Stopping The Colt > by Brony5ever > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Introduction > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was a cool summer night in Ponyville and everypony in Ponyville was asleep. Hardy, a young alicorn who lives in the outskirts of ponyville, he has with a dull grey coat, spiky brown mane, and crimson eyes. His aunt, Red Velvet, his uncle, Frostblaze, and his older cousin Rose who treat him like a son after the death of his mother. What Red Velvet and Frostblaze didn’t know is that their nephew had witnessed his father kill a young filly. Rose knew that Bellamena had died, but she is unaware that her uncle had killed one of her best friends. Every night, when Hardy sleeps, he has nightmares about Bellamena's passing. > The Shocking Truth > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The next day, Hardy did his usal morning routine, which was stretching. He had gone into the kitchen to have breakfast, his cousin had prepared him and herself pancakes with syrup. Rose was sitting and drinking her cup of coffee, she had already finished her breakfast while her younger cousin was finishing up his morning routine, the young colt enjoyed his cousin’s cooking just as much as his aunt’s. He sat down and ate his breakfast. “Good morning, Rose.” He said with a smile. His older cousin smiled back. “Morning, Hardy.” She said, as she put down her coffee cup. She had taken the dishes over to the dishwasher to be cleaned. “How did you sleep?” Rose asked her younger cousin, her lilac eyes looking into his crimson eyes. “I slept well, Rose” He replied, smiling back at his cousin. The ivory mare noticed his smiled had faded away. “Everything okay, Hardy?” She asked with a concerned expression on her face. Sparkling gave out a sad sigh and took a deep breath before speaking. “I-It’s about Bellamena, Rose.” He said lowering his head in sorrow. “What do you mean, Hardy?” Rose asked with a sense of dread in her voice. “Well, I had actually witnessed her death. As a newborn, I saw my father kill Bellamena, he had strapped her to a wooden board, and c-cut her lower body off and baked it into a cupcake. Dad also did the same thing to mom before this happened.” He said. “Dad also fed the cupcake to Pinkie after killing Bellamena.” He said as he lowerd his head sadly. Quarry Mine was speechless, she had no idea that her uncle had killed her aunt and Bellamena. Little did Rose know that her little cousin had a plan to avenge her aunt and foalhood friend. > Left Speechless > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rose who now knew of what had happened to Bellamena and her aunt, was aware that her parents didn’t know the real reason behind Bellamena’s death, they just knew that she had died. The ivory mare realized she should tell them what Sparkler had told her. Her mother, Red Velvet, works at Sugarcube Corner, often found running errands for the Cakes or behind the register when Pinkie is with her friends. Her father sometimes helps with Cloudsdale’s weather patrol, often contributing if one of the pegasi are on vacation or if there’s a shortage of pegasi. Her mother was on her way back home, not many customers had entered and the Cakes decided to close a little earlier than normal, she still worked hard despite the few patrons. She had arrived and opened the door and found Rose, standing speechless. “Rose, is everything okay?” She asked with genuine concern in her tone, she then waved a hoof in front of her daughter to get her attention. “M-mom I need to have a talk with you.” Rose said after she has snapped out of her trance. “What are you talking about?” Her mother asked with confusion. The ivory mare took a deep breath, before responding. “It’s a long story, mom.” She replied. “This sounds serious.” Her mother said. Then, her father, Frostblaze came downstairs. “Hi honey, how was work?” He asked. “I’m home early, dear.” She replied. “Rose was about to tell me why she was so shocked when I came home. She had a very serious tone in her voice, it must be bad news.” She said. “How can it be bad news?” Her father asked, looking at her. “Hardy told me how Bellamena had died." She replied as her father's smile faded and sighed. The ivory mare cleared her throat and took a deep breath. “This is what Hardy told me about Bellamena’s death.” Rose began, she told them was her cousin had told her. Once she had finished telling what had happened, her parents were at a loss for words. Her mother gasped and put a hoof over her mouth in shock. “He saw that?” Her father asked in shock. Their daughter nodded yes. Her mother’s eyes had welled up with tears, as she said. “M-my older twin and an innocent filly were killed by my in-law.” Her husband just stood there in shock. “Honey, I-I’m so sorry for your loss. Our nephew had tried to free Bellamena, but he was unable to.” He said. > Acceptance > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hardy headed towards his mother’s grave, it was close to home so his aunt and uncle knew where he was. He had flew over and landed in front of his mother’s grave, it was very simalar to Bellamena’s grave, a carefully hand-made rock marker in the shape of his mother sitting and smiling on top of a slab that reads ‘Here lies Chilly, a caring sister, mother, and daughter. Taken too soon.’ The young colt gave a soft sigh and wiped away a few tears. “Mom, it’s me, Hardy. I have something to tell you, in case you aren’t aware, one of Rose's best friends, Bellamena had died, she had suffered the same fate you had when I was a baby. She was killed by dad, this time however, he was caught and thrown into solitary confinement, he should’ve been already locked up but he had already covered up all the evidence and lied about it. I’ve told aunt Red, uncle Frostblaze, and Rose, but I have yet to the Pie Family. Tell grandma and grandaddy. I love them and I miss them.” He said, then he flew towards the Pie Rock Farm, his aunt and uncle are friends with the Pie Family. The colt landed close to the entrance of the farm. He looked at Bellamena’s grave, it was simalar to his mother’s grave, except the writing on the slab and the statue were different. He could feel a warm breeze, as if he heard Bellamena’s voice telling him to tell her family what they weren’t aware of. He nodded and walked towards the rock path leading to the farm house where Pinkie had grew up in. As he made his way towards the house, he could hear Pinkie’s older sister, Octavia, practicing her cello for her concert in Hoofington. “Wow, Octavia plays the cello beautifully, I wish her the best at her next concert.” He thought to himself as he stopped outside the house. He took a deep breath and knocked on the door. Pinkie’s mother, Cloudy Quartz had opened the door and smiled. “Surely, thy name isn't Hardy?” Cloudy asked. “Yes, I'm Chilly's son...” He said “Please enter our abode.” She said, beckoning him to come inside. She then gestured to the living room and went away to find her husband, and her daughters. “Pinkamena, Octavia, we've got company.” She called out and went towards the living room. Hardy had sat down on a chair, it was made out of rock but it was comfortable. Cloudy sat down across from Hardy her daughters and husband entered soon after, Pinkie and Octavia each sat next to the young colt. Their father, Igneous Rock, had sat next to his wife. Hardy waved to the Pie sisters and their father. They waved back with a small smile. Sparkling had cleared his throught and taken a deep breath before exhailing. “I’m sorry to interupt all of you, but there’s something you aren’t aware of.” He paused and looked at the Pie Family, they looked at each other confused, before looking back at Smudger. “As you might know, what had happened to Bellamena, but there is something else that you haven’t been told. I had witnessed Bellamena’s death. If the four of you are wondering why I didn’t tell you earlier, I was just an infant.” Cloudy let out a gasp and covered her mouth with her hoof. Octavia did the same thing, Pinkie and her father’s jaws had dropped. “You see, that colt, who had taken the life of Bellamena away, he is my father.” He said, hanging his head in shame. The Pie family had gasped at the shocking news, they were speechless. “T-the Colt is your father?” Pinkie stammered, as she looked at Hardy. He nodded and Pinkie looked at him. “He also killed my mother and cut off her lower torso and made her into a cupcake.” He said. Mrs. Pie and Octavia had gasped again. The Pie Family had been shocked about what Sparkling had said. “I-I had promised to tell my mother and Bellamena about this, I told my aunt, uncle and cousin about this. My mother’s name was Chilly.” He said. “I-I tried to free her, but I wasn’t strong enough.” He said wiping a few tears away. “I-I’m so sorry, I’ll never forgive myself.” He said before hanging his head in shame. "Hardy, you had comforted me when I needed support, you made the words, I’m sorry appear out of thin air, offered me a hug, and gave me a shoulder to cry on. You should forgive yourself, it's not your fault. Pinkie said, hugging him and giving him a shoulder to cry on. “You may be related to him but you're not him.” Octavia added as her mother and father nodded in agreement. “We give our condolences and tis indeed sorrowful for our famly and yours." Cloudy said. “We'd made thy mother a grave like our own daughters.” Igneous added. Hardy waved goodbye to the Pie Family and headed down the rocky path towards the spot where Bellamena’s grave was. He stopped in front of her grave and hugged the gravestone. “I'll reunite you with your family soon.” He then went home behind the house where his mother’s grave was. He smiled before gently placing some artifical roses over his mothers grave. “I love you mom will all my heart.” He said before hugging his mother’s grave. > The Avengence > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hardy woke up very early when the rest of his family was asleep. He was going to avenge his mother and Bellamena by killing his father for the lives he took. He packed a case with a gun and a single bullet and teleported to where his father was locked up. “Hardy, what a suprise. I see Velvet’s been taking good care of you. It really is a shame that your mother isn’t able to see how much you’ve grown.” Hardy glared at his father, he still knew why he planned to do this. “Shut up. You killed mom and lied about it, you also took the life of an innocent filly and made her into a cupcake. I’ll put an end to this torment.” He snapped at his father. “Okay, party pooper, but don’t you like parties?” The Colt asked, trying to sound hurt. “Not your parties, you twisted sicko.” Hardy replied with more hatred. He dropped his bag. “What’s in the bag, Hardy?” His father asked, noticing the bag on the ground. “Leg restraints and a loaded gun.” Replied the young colt. “Who are you going to restrain and shoot?” Asked the Colt “I’m looking at him. This party game is called going out with a bang.” Sneered Hardy, as he looked at his father. His father glared at him. “What will killing ME acomplish, you can’t ressurect them!” His father snapped, Hardy gave a smug look at his father. “I can but first...killing you will let them know that YOU’LL be gone.” He said approaching his father with the leg restraints and a shovel. Hardy hit his father on the head with the shovel, knocking him out cold. When the Colt awoke, he found himself tied to his cell bed. “Any last words, you psychotic pony?” Hardy asked. He had aimed the gun at his father’s chest where his heart was. “Why can’t YOU just let this be!” The colt snapped as he glared at his only son. “I will now.” Hardy said before pulling the trigger on the gun. A loud gunshot echoed throughout the solitary confinement chamber. His fathers head laid next to his lifeless body. “I’ve finally done it.” Hardy said, he then cleaned the blood off of his coat, teleported back into his room, and went to sleep. > Ressurecting Chilly and Bellamena > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hardy had finally avenged his mother and Bellamena, he had buried his father. He also told the Pie Family, they were relieved that The Colt wasn’t going to kill anymore. The next day He walked over to his mother’s grave and shot a beam of magic at the grave. His mother walked over to him, her smile was warm as the sunrise. “Hardy, I’ve missed you so much, I knew my baby sister would take care of you.” His mother told him before hugging him tightly and kissing his cheek. She noticed his cutie mark it was a single rainbow-colored star. “Your cutie mark it’s amazing, it suits you so well.” His mother added, before taking his hoof and heading inside the house. Her little sister came out of the house, her crimson eyes welling up with tears of joy. The cream colored mare hugged her nephew and kissed his cheek. “I’ve missed my big sister for so long, she’s as beautiful as your grandparents said when we were born.” His aunt told him. “Aunt Red, I have to see the Pie family, I’m going to reunite Bellamena with her family.” He told her. She nodded and he flew off towards the Pie farm, walked to where Bellamena was buried. He aimed his horn at the grave, shot a beam of magic and Bellamena was back. The little filly blinked a few times and when her gaze recovered, she saw a young colt looking at her. “W-who are you?” Bellamena asked. She was afraid because she didn’t know who this colt was. “I know what he did to you, but I'm not like my father. The young alicorn replied. Bellamena was shocked at realizing that was how her killer had a son, she wanted to thank him for bringing her back. Just then, Cloudy came to see Hardy. “Hardy, w-”. Cloudy gasped when she saw who was beside Smudger. It was her youngest daughter, Bellamena. After years without seeing her, Cloudy’s eyes welled up with tears of joy. She sniffled and hugged Bellamena. Octavia, Pinkie, and Igneous walked into the room and couldn’t believe it. Bellamena was alive. They hugged their reunited family member. “Thank you, so much Hardy you brought what we had lost, and stopped all of those nightmares I’ve had since that day.” Pinkie said as she tightly hugged the young colt. Octavia smiled and joined in the hug. Bellamena knew this colt was much better than his father she smiled approached him with a smile. “My name is Bellamena Marie Pie. It’s nice to meet you, Hardy. I bet your mother is proud of you.” “He also killed my mother and lied saying she died from an illness.” Hardy explained. Bellamena was shocked, Hardy hadn’t never met his mother as an infant. “I’m sorry for your loss, Hardy.” “Bellamena, it’s okay... she’s alive and well.” “I’ll always think of you as a friend for life.” “I’ll also feel that way about you, Bellamena. I’m glad I could help you out.” Hardy said as he smiled at the little filly He then waved goodbye to the Pie family and flew towards home to be with his mother. It had been so long without a mother and Hardy was glad to have his mother back.
