Charming Thunder's Arrest
Charming Thunder entered Queen Luna's throne room. Once Celestia's throne room before Luna issued Order 66 to her followers. Two magnaguard droids stood next to the stairs to Luna's throne as she went over some things with her advisor. She gestured him to leave as Charming Thunder approached. "Long have I waited," she said. "For my nephew to come and visit."
"You summoned me, Aunt Luna," Charming Thunder said. Luna approached her nephew with a smile.
"I never wanted Celestia dead. I wanted you here. Prince Charming Thunder. I have a proposal for you."
"What proposal is that?" Charming Thunder had a look of concern.
"No need to be alarmed when I say this once. I offer you a place at my side at the New Lunar Republic."
"Why would I sign up after what you did to Aunt Celestia?"
"If a place at my side is not all that you want, perhaps my daughters hoof in marriage would be in order." Charming Thunder's eyes widened at the thought. "You would do one favor for me. We will then rule all of Equestria." Charming Thunder then sighed and closed his eyes.
"What must I do?" Luna smiled before explaining what has to be done.

A group of loyal pony citizens gathered at the castle as they waited for their queen to come out and make her speech. Luna stepped out of the throne room and onto the balcony with her daughter; Twilight Sparkle. Charming Thunder was below the balcony on the stage as Luna spoke. "The time has come!" she announced. The crowd cheered as Luna raised her hoof to silence them. "With my nephew at my side, he will rule with me along with my daughter." Shining Armor then took the stage with a weapon in his hoof. "Bring in the prisoner!" The doors opened behind Charming Thunder and the two droids brought out a mare wearing armor all bruised up on the face. "He will execute her for crimes against the New Lunar Republic and accept my daughter's hoof in marriage." The droids held down the prisoner on the ground as Shining Armor approached Charming Thunder. "He will take the weapon." Charming Thunder took the weapon Shining Armor was holding and activated it to reveal it to be a laser axe. "And with the stroke of the axe, he will become a new ruler. THERE WILL BE NO REBELLION!!!" Charming Thunder looked up at Luna and then towards the crowd as they cheered. He then saw his sister; Cadence, in the crowd in her cloak with a look of worry. Who knew that the princess of love would be here to witness the execution. "Do it! Make the sacrifice!" Charming Thunder shook his head and aligned the laser on the axe to the neck of the prisoner. He then raised it high in the air to ready the strike, but not at the prisoner. Instead, he threw the axe at one droid and used his magic to blast the other one holding the prisoner. He then grabbed the lightsaber on his belt and activated it which caused the crowd to run away when four magnaguards approached.
"Protect the queen!" Shining Armor shouted as he fled the scene. Luna watched from above as Charming Thunder attacked the magnaguards with his weapon as he protected the prisoner. He chopped them up one by one as more droids approached with blasters in their hands.
"Blast him!" the battle droid commander said.
"Fly away from here!" Charming Thunder said to the prisoner. She nodded and flew away quickly far away from Canterlot. The droids aimed at the fleeing prisoner, but Charming Thunder fired chain lightning from his horn to stun them then threw his lightsaber and he used his magic to bring it back to his hoof. He then looked up to see the balcony empty and decided to go after Twilight.

Twilight ran for her life as she made her way towards her room to seal herself away. When she opened the door, Charming Thunder was on the other side waiting for her with his lightsaber deactivated in his hoof. She used her magic to get her lightsaber and activated it. "Look at yourself," Charming Thunder said. "You wanted to prove to your mother that you are like her, but you've proven to be something else. Come with me. Away from all of this." Twilight got angry at what he is saying.
"Where did you send the prisoner?" Twilight demanded. Charming Thunder shuddered as he stood back a little.
"She is out of your reach. I'll give you one chance to surrender."
"Never." Charming Thunder sighed to the response.
"The only way you're getting that prisoner is through me." Charming Thunder activated his lightsaber as Twilight charged towards him. Charming Thunder blocked the incoming strikes then Twilight delivers a heavy strike which he blocked. They then clashed their blades as Charming Thunder was the stronger one to beat her. They broke the clash and when Twilight was about to strike, Charming thunder used his unicorn magic to stop it. She then pulled the strike back as Charming Thunder trapped her in the corner of the room. She then collapsed to the ground as Charming thunder delivered two heavy strikes to keep her down and one more strike to get the lightsaber out of Twilight's hoof. He then readied a strike, but not before he heard a voice calling out to him in his mind.
"Brother...." Cadence's voice echoed. Charming Thunder's eyes widened as he lowered his strike to slowly turn around to find the source of his sister's voice. He dropped his lightsaber which gave Twilight an advantage to use her magic to blast him to the wall and knocked him out cold. Shining Armor and some royal guards entered the room to see what was going on. He saw Charming Thunder knocked out on the floor and then looked at his little sister.
"Are you alright?" Shining Armor asked.
"I'm fine, BBBFF," Twilight reassured. "Charming Thunder is a traitor to the New Lunar Republic. Take him away!" The guards then grabbed Charming Thunder and carried him off to the Canterlot dungeon.

Charming Thunder was chained to the wall as he looked down to the ground. He never made a sudden move ever since he was arrested by the magnaguard droids for treason against the New Lunar Republic. As the sun began to set, Twilight entered his cell to check on him. “You know that you made a mistake,” she said as the cell door closed behind her.
Twilight attempted to place her hoof on his shoulder, but was stopped when Charming Thunder shouted, “Quiet! Go away!”
“You should’ve made the right decision to execute the prisoner, but instead you just saved her life.”
“You know why I didn’t do it? Things would get worse if I did.”
“You don’t believe that.” Charming Thunder got up from the ground as he laughed.
“How do you know what I believe in?” Charming Thunder turned to face Twilight Sparkle with anger in his eyes.

Charming Thunder walked away and gazed at the wall with his arms crossed. Tears began to fall out of Twilight’s eyes as she opened the door to leave his cell.

Twilight left Charming Thunder all alone in his cell as he gazed outside to see the sun begin to set.
