> EqG Tales: Arcade Edition > by Brian Sheil > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Start Game > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- At her farmland home, Megan Williams, the young girl who remembers Equestria when it was Ponyland, laid down on a hammock in the backyard. She wore a white long sleeve flannel shirt with the sleeves rolled up, and blue denim bib overalls with the cuffs rolled up. After doing her chores on the farm, Megan decided to take a nap. As she was peacefully sleeping, her mother came to check on her. “Megan,” the mother said, getting her attention, “dozing off?” “You can’t blame me.” Megan replied. “Helping loading the hay bales in the barn is a bit tiring.” Her mother has a very good idea about what Megan has planned. “I’ll bet you’ll be visiting Equestria. Aren’t you, my barefoot beauty?” “Not today.” Megan explained. “Twilight is on princess business, Applejack is busy at Sweet Apple Acres, Fluttershy is helping Dr. Fauna, Rarity is attending an event at her Canterlot store, Pinkie Pie is watching the Cake Twins, and Rainbow Dash is with the Wonderbolts.” “Sorry to heat that.” Mrs. Williams said as she went back into the house. “I’m sure you’ll think of something.” As Megan laid in her hammock, she suddenly had an idea. She got up and made her way to her bedroom. Soon, she went to her laptop. “Who said I’m not used to today’s high tech?” Megan said to herself. She turned on her computer and started typing away. “I’ve got some good stories involving Twilight and her friends’ human counterparts. This is going to be fun.” > Game 1-Donkey Kong > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- On a beautiful Saturday morning, Flash Sentry and Twilight Sparkle were on their way to meet their friends at Canterlot State Park. Suddenly, a powerful brown furry gorilla was running from two men in white uniforms. Just then, the gorilla instinctively grabbed Twilight and ran off. “Twilight!” Flash called out. “Flash!” Twilight shouted nervously. “Help me!” Flash followed the beast as it made its way to a construction sight. He sees Twilight tied up, high on a platform, with the beast standing next to her. Flash was soon approached by the men in uniforms. “I wouldn’t go near that beast.” One of the men informed. “That’s Donkey Kong. One of the cleverest gorillas known to anyone.” “We were sent here to have him sent to a jungle.” The other worker said. “Life in a zoo is not for that gorilla.” Looking at the situation, Flash made a decision. “He has my friend. I’ve got to try!” Flash made his way across the area, seeing a ladder, he climbed it to a higher beam. Suddenly, he saw a barrel thrown by Donkey Kong down the beams. It landed into an oil barrel, which ignited. Soon, a fireball leaped out. “Those guys are right.” Flash said to himself. “This guy is a clever gorilla.” Flash runs on to the beams, avoiding any barrels the gorilla throws by jumping over them. As soon as he was under where Twilight is held, Flash spots a hammer. “I can use this to knock down any barrel that gets in my way.” Rushing across the beam, Flash uses the hammer to smash any barrel he encounters. He climbs a ladder, and sees Twilight on the platform. Donkey Kong looks shocked as Flash climbs the ladder to be with Twilight. “I’m glad you’re here.” Twilight said with relief. “This gorilla brought me here, and tied me up using rope he found so I don’t run away.” “You’re safe now.” Flash said. Suddenly, Donkey Kong grabbed Twilight and climbed to a higher area. This made Flash mad. “Come back here, you brutal beast!” Flash followed Donkey Kong to another section. He sees conveyor belts. On them, are metal trays filled with hot cement. “Trying to make things hot for me.” Flash said to Donkey Kong. “Huh?” “Be careful, Flash.” Twilight pleaded. “This is one tricky area.” Flash carefully climbed up the ladders, without contacting the metal trays. But, using the conveyor belts, Flash avoided any obstacles. He reached a contracted ladder, and climbed it. When he reached the top, he thought he couldn’t reach the top of the girder. Donkey Kong rides the top conveyor belt, pounding his chest while acting scary. Twilight started to get scared. Just then, Flash’s ladder extended, and he made it to the top. “Don’t worry, Twilight.” Flash called out. “Here I come.” Reacting to Flash’s arrival, Donkey Kong grabbed Twilight, and climbed higher. This got Flash upset as he climbed after the gorilla. “Here we go again!” As Flash climbed up, he saw his next obstacle. It’s full of elevators, and bouncing girders that bounced in the top beam then fall close to a series of small beams. “Okay,” Flash said, “let’s go for it.” On the ground, Sunset Shimmer used her phone to see all of the action. “Are you guys watching all of this?” Sunset asked, using FaceTime. At Fluttershy’s place, she and the rest of the girls saw the whole scene. “We are.” Rainbow Dash replied. “This is getting serious.” “Twilight’s in a situation more scary than confronting a swarm of bees.” Applejack said with concerned. “I feel bad for Donkey Kong.” Fluttershy said sadly. Everybody was surprised to hear that. “You feel bad for that brutal gorilla?” Pinkie yelped. “WHY?” “Spending time in a zoo can be frustrating after a while.” Fluttershy explained. “That’s why he was going to be taken to a jungle.” “Keep an eye on the action.” Dash advised. “Okay.” Sunset replied as she hung up her phone. Be careful, Flash. Meanwhile, Flash rode an elevator down to a small beam. Watching the bouncing girders, he carefully jumped on the small beams. When he reached the top, he rushed to save Twilight. After ducking from a bouncing girder, Flash climbed up a ladder, to get to Twilight. “I thought this nightmare would never end.” Twilight said with relief. Just then, Donkey Kong grabbed Twilight and climbed higher. “I guess it’s not over yet.” Flash grunted as he started to climb after the gorilla again. As Flash reached another area, he saw Twilight, still tied up, on a platform with Donkey Kong right underneath her. Flash also some fire creatures all over the area. “I wonder how to tackle this one.” Flash wondered. Flash climbed up a ladder. He was then confronted by a fire creature. He leaped over the critter, and landed on a yellow connector. It shattered into pieces, leaving a gap. “Hmm.” Flash wondered. “This gives me an idea. Let’s get rid of all of these connectors and see what happens.” Flash then moved all over that section, avoiding the fire creatures, and smashing the connectors. When the last connector was smashed, the girders fell down to the floor of that section. Donkey Kong looked down, and got worried. “Uh oh.” The mighty gorilla fell, and landed on his head, knocking him out. Flash was able to finally reach Twilight. “Flash!” Twilight sobbed. “I was so scared.” “It’s okay.” Flash replied as he hugged Twilight. “It’s over.” Twilight shed tears of joy, knowing she’s safe at last. Later, Twilight and Flash find themselves back on the ground as their friends were relieved that the nightmare is over. Fluttershy got concerned as Donkey Kong is loaded into a truck. “Is Donkey Kong going to be okay?” Fluttershy asked with concern. “Don’t worry.” One of the drivers answered. “He’ll be taken to an animal sanctuary where he’ll be treated. Once he’s completely healed, we’ll have him sent to the jungle, where he’ll live a happy life.” “That’s a relief.” “I’m just glad that I’m not tied up anymore.” Twilight praised. “It was like being in a King Kong movie.” Everybody nodded, knowing that this nightmare is finally over. > Game 2-Elevator Action > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- One night, on top of a towering building, a grappling hook zipped through the sky, and connected to an antenna. Seconds later, a young marigold skinned girl with red and yellow streaked hair, and wearing a black outfit slid down the rope. As soon as she stepped on the roof, she retracted the rope and hook, and pulled out what looks like a tablet PC. “Agent Sunset Shimmer calling Chief Cranky Doodle.” The young lady said to her tablet. “Do you read me?” On the screen, appeared a man wearing a brown business suit and has scruffy brown hair. “Good evening, Sunset.” The man on the screen said. “Did you make it to the roof okay?” “I sure did.” Sunset replied. “I’m awaiting instructions.” “Excellent. Now, take the elevator, in the room below your present location, and go down from the thirtieth floor to the first floor, recovering seven file folders along the way. Your tablet should be able to detect those files.” “Sounds easy. But, something tells me, it won’t be.” “Right. The spy network in that building learned of you trying to get those files. They sent many enemy agents to try to stop you. Once you get those files, get out of the building where my faithful friend, Celestia, will we waiting to drive you back to headquarters.” “Understood. I won’t let you down.” “Very good. Good luck and be careful. Over and out.” The screen went blank, then displayed a layout of the building, with red blinking lights, indicating the files Sunset was told about. “Nobody said that being a hero is going to be easy.” Sunset said to herself as she entered the building from an opening on the roof. She went inside, and stepped into an elevator. “Well, here goes.” Sunset soon goes down the elevator, seeing that the first file is on the 20th floor. Suddenly, from the open sides, various characters in black suits came out to confront the young agent. “It sucks that these elevators are open in the sides.” Sunset said to herself as she pulled out a powerful pistol. “At least I was chosen because I’m a good shot.” As she continues to go down, Sunset started shooting at the enemy agents. As soon as they came close, Sunset kicked them to the ground. It’s lucky that Sunset practiced Martial Arts as well. She went into a red door, and saw a lavender folder on a table. “Yes! I found file number one.” Sunset said as she spotted an empty briefcase. “And, something to carry the files in.” She places the folder in the briefcase. “That’s one down, six to go.” After exiting the door, Sunset realized that there are no elevators going down. Lucklily, she saw an escalator, and is relieved. "Good thing that elevators aren't the only way to go down." Sunset rode escalator after escalator, fighting off enemy agents along the way. When she reached the 16th floor, she headed for another red door, she heard footsteps behind her. She quickly jabbed him in the stomach before entering the door. Talking a cyan folder, Sunset placed it into the briefcase. "That makes it two." The young lady exited out of the door, spotted an elevator, and rode it to the 14th floor. She realized that the hallway is dark as she examined her tablet. "According to the info," Sunset realized. "Floors 14, 13, 12, and 11 are all dark. Good thing, I came prepared." Taking a pair of sunglasses out of her pocket, Sunset puts them on. "These glasses have infra red lenses, which lets me see in the dark." The special glasses help out well as Sunset knocks out any enemy agents who can't see well in the dark. She entered the door, and finds a pink folder. Sunset quickly puts the folder into her briefcase. "That makes it three." Exiting the room, Sunset spots an elevator, and rides in to the 11th floor, fighting off enemy agents along the way. Spotting a red door, Sunset goes in, and sees a white folder. She puts it in the briefcase. “This makes four.” Exiting the room, she rides an elevator that only goes down to the 10th floor. As she walks off, she spots another elevator. “There’s another folder one floor below me.” Sunset said to herself. “But, the lights are on. I guess I won’t need the glasses anymore.” Putting away her special glasses, Sunset makes her way to another elevator. After, tossing an enemy agent over her shoulder, Sunset rides the elevator down to the 9th floor. Seeing a red door, she goes in, and grabs an orange folder. “This makes five.” The decent continues as Sunset makes her way to the 7th floor. After drop kicking another agent, she goes through a red door, and sees a yellow folder. She then places it in her case. "That makes it six. One more to go." Sunset hears somebody outside. She sees another enemy agent. When the perp got close, she slams the door in his face. Sunset rides an escalator to the 6th floor, and sees that it's a floor full of elevators. "Oh boy." Sunset groaned as she looks at her tablet. "And, the last folder is on the first floor. This scene is probably on the last floors I have to explore. Better get cracking!" As Sunset goes down the last few floors, she dodges gun fire, delivers a few shots of her own, and battled some of the agents in hand to hand combat. Reaching the 1st floor, Sunset see a red door, and goes in the room. She sees a marigold colored folder, and packs it into her briefcase. "That makes all seven." Sunset said. "Now, to get the heck out of here." Seeing that the coast is clear, Sunset rides an elevator to ground level. Exiting the building, she sees an elegant woman with pastel colored hair, and wearing a green business suit. She sits in a calssy red car. "Miss Celestia, I presume." Sunset addressed. "That is correct." Celestia replied. "Did you find all seven file folders?" "I did. They're all in this briefcase I found." Celestia then opened the door to the passenger side. "Then, hop in and let's beat it!" Sunset quickly gets in the car, and buckled her seat belt. "Hold on." Celestia informed Sunset. "Here we go!" Celestia starts the car, and they took off down the street, and away from the building. Sunset breathed a sigh of relif, knowing that this assignment is done. "Back to headquarters, Miss Celestia." Sunset said. "Mission: accomplished." > Game 3-Q*bert > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It was a bright sunny day as the Pie family make their way to an area near their home. "Where are we going?" Pinkie asked, getting upset. "This place is so dull. I can see Maud feel at home here. But, not me." "We know this is not your scene, sis." Limestone replied. "But, it's important for us to come along with mom and dad." "Your eldest sibling is correct, my dear Pinkamena." The father, Igneous Rock Pie added. He soon pointed to a strange sight. "There's the reason we came here." The family soon looked at what looks like a giant pyramid, made of dark blue cubes. The four Pie sisters were shoced at this sight. Maud included. "I have seen all kinds of rock formations." Maud said, in her usual monotone manner. "But, I have never seen anything like this." Soon, out steps the elderly, but honorable Grand Pear, as he welcomes the group. "Hello there, Pie family. Welcome to Cube Mountain." "Cube Mountian?" The youngest Pie sister, Marble, said with concern. "Never heard of it." "I’m sure you haven't." The mother, Cloudy Quartz, "Whether you believe it or not, this mountain is somewhat of a challenge." "Your mother is right." Grand Pear explained. "Every so often, visitors come to this place for the challenge. The object is to hop on all of the cubes of this place, changing the color from dark blue to bright yellow. If a cube that's changed gets hopped on by the challenger, it stays the same. But, there are a few obstacles that get in their way." "What kind of obstacles?" Limestone asked. "There would be red balls that bounce down the pyramid. Also, there are the mischievous green goons, Slick and Sam, who are harmless, but change the cubes back to their original color. But, worst of all, the trio of dangerous purple creatures, Coily, Ugg, and Wrong-Way, who would end a challenger's attempt real quick. Many have tried to complete this challenge. But, a rare few succeeded." "But," Pinkie wondered, “where do we come in?" "Grand Pear decided to have YOU try this challenge, Pinkie." Cloudy quartz answered. Pinkie Pie got shocked. "ME?!" "Why not?" Limestone said, figuring it out. "Grand Pear figured that with your energy, you can conquer this challenge." "That's true." Marble added. "I don't think Coily and his gang will expect someone like you, big sis." Pinkie thought about this idea. Then, she gave her answer. "I'll do it." A grin formed on her face. "Besides, I'm full of energy!" "No doubt from that jelly donut you munched on the way." Limestone said humorously. "Sugary snacks always gives you energy." "In that case," Grand Pear announced, "head for the base of the mountain and let the challenge begin." Pinkie made her way to the base of Cube Mountain. After getting the green light from Grand Pear, she hops on one the cubes on the bottom. As soon as it changed color, Pinkie was very happy. "These cubes do change color." Limestone gives her a bottle of water to keep up her strength. "Here I go!" The party girl hops on the cubes, changng their color. Suddenly, she heard something else bouncing. It's the red balls Grand Pear warned her about. Pinkie quickly bounces out of the way of those balls. She avoided the danger as she continues to hop on the cubes, stopping for sips of water along the way. Just as Pinkie was 25% done with her challenge, a growl got her attention. She turned to her left, and saw a purple pig like creature with a curly tail. "Be careful, Pinkie." Grand Pear advised. "That's Ugg! One of the purple creatures I warned you about." "Hey!" The creature named Ugg growled. "Mind your own business, old man!" Grand Pear got mad at that comment. Pinkie looked at Ugg. But, wasn't phased. "I'm not scared of you, Ugg." "Maybe not now, kid." Ugg replied. "But, you'll be shaking in your sneakers soon." "Hey, hey, hey!" Another voice called out. "Mind if I, uh, join this party?" To Pinkie's right comes a purple creature with a freaky hair style. He displays a sharp toothy grin. "I'm guessing you're Wrong-Way." Pinkie figured. "Yeah, yeah." Wrong Way replied crazily. "Me and Ugg are a team. We work, uh, very, uh, well together." "He's right." Ugg added. "Between me and Wrong-Way, you don't stand a chance!" The two purple creatures hop on the sides of the cube, hoping to corner Pinkie. But, as soon as they got close, she hopped on another cube above her, and Ugg and Wrong-Way collided, and fell down to the bottom of the mountain. Marble got nervous and hid behind Cloudy Quartz. "Don't be afraid, Marble." Cloudy Quartz comforted. "Those two beasts won't be causing anymore trouble. At least for a while." The two beasts soon recovered, and returned behind the mountain. "That kid's full of energy." Wrong-Way figured. "Isn't she, Ugg?" "Yeah." Ugg replied. "Well, back to the drawing board." The two beasts return to their places as Pinkie continues to hop on the cubes. Taking a swig of water, Pinkie looks at her progress. “Wow!” Pinkie yelped. “Two thirds done already. I’m on a roll.” Suddenly, two green raindrop shaped creatures, one wearing sunglasses, came down, changing the cubes back to dark blue. “Hey!” Limestone called. “Cut that out, Slick and Sam!” “Stop?” Said Slick, the green creature wearing sunglasses. “Don’t be silly.” “He’s right.” His partner, Sam, added. “We’re just having fun.” Grand Pear got Pinkie’s attention. “Pinkie, there’s a green ball heading your way. Grab it!” Pinkie grabbed the ball. Then, the creatures froze. She was happy. “That green ball froze everything on this mountain. Time to clean up this mess!” Pinkie quickly hopped on the cubes, changing some of them back to bright yellow. She also knocked Slick and Sam off the mountain. When they landed, they were spotted by Cloudy Quartz. “That’ll teach you two a lesson.” Cloudy sternly said. “Now, off with you.” Slick and Sam left the area, for now. Meanwhile, Pinkie avoided a purple ball as she readies herself to finish the job. Suddenly, the ball that landed on the bottom area hatched into a long purple snake with a coiled up tail. “Monster!” Marble yelled. “Look out, sis!” Limestone called out. “That’s got to be Coily!” Pinkie spotted the snake and kept hopping. All but the top cube were changed. But, Coily blocked the party girl. “You may have bested my boys, Ugg and Wrong-Way.” Coily informed in a tough guy voice. “But, you won’t get away from me!” Pinkie got nervous. Just then, she saw a whirling disk on the side of the mountain. She hopped across the mountain with Coily springing behind her. Pinkie jumps on the disc, and floats away. Coily strikes at her. But, misses and falls to the ground. Pinkie hops from the disc, and lands on the top cube. The whole mountain glowed bright yellow. Grand Pear and the Pie Family cheered for Pinkie. She steps down the mountain as Coily slithers up slowly. “Well done, Pinkie.” Igneous Rock said. “You did well.” “In just a few minutes,” Grand Pear informed, “the mountain will change back, ready for the next challenge.” As everybody congratulated Pinkie, Coily watches from a high cube. Suddenly, he jumps off, and heads for the group. “Look out!” Cloudy Quartz called out. Without warning, Coily lands, crushing Limestone on the back. “OUCH!” Limestone yelled. “How do you like that, sweetheart?” Coily asked as he got off Limestone’s back. “Later, sports.” The coiled up snake chuckles wickedly as he bounces away. The family got Limestone up on her feet. “I felt her pain when Coily smashed her.” Maud said with concern. “Limestone, are you okay?” Marble asked. Limestone got very upset. As she was grumbling, a speech bubble appeared over her head with symbols like swirls, exclamation points, hashtags, stars, and question marks in it. “I never knew that Limestone can curse like that.” Pinkie said. “I don’t blame her.” Igneous Rock replied. “Any of us would get that mad too from being crushed by a coiled up snake.” > Game 4-Congo Bongo > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The sun rises in a forest area. Rainbow Dash and Sunset Shimmer are practicing yoga to start their day. Rainbow wore a dark purple tank top and a pair of teal Capri style tights, stretching on a magenta mat. Sunset wore a crimson tank top and red tights, and she stretches on a blue mat. “Feeling a bit better, Sunset?” Rainbow asked as they sit on their mats, ready to meditate. “I am.” Sunset replied. She noticed Rainbow’s meditation position. “How are you able to get into Lotus Pose?” “With the exercise I get during my soccer practice, my legs become flexible. By the way, what happened to you last night?” Sunset thought about what happened to her. Flashback Sunset, Rainbow, and Applejack are camping in a jungle area, as honored guests of A. K. Yearling. That night, as she was sleeping, Sunset suddenly yelped as she felt her foot hurting. It seems somebody put a flaming stick on her foot. End of Flashback “I was glad what happened to me didn’t do any real damage.” Sunset said with relief. “I could’ve gotten really hurt.” Applejack went to her friends with some surprising news. “Pardon me for disturbing your meditation, yoga girls.” Applejack said. “Our guide and A. K. told me that there’s only one character who can pull off this prank.” “Who’s that, AJ?” Rainbow wondered. Applejack gave her friends a stern answer. “The mischief making gorilla, Congo Bongo.” “CONGO BONGO?!” Rainbow and Sunset yelped. “With that big gorilla around,” Sunset figured, “nobody can relax.” “Any ideas?” Rainbow asked. “I was told where Congo Bongo is hiding out.” Applejack informed. “The guide gave me permission to teach that big ape a lesson.” Applejack walks off, leaving Rainbow and Sunset a little relief. “I’m sure AJ can handle Congo Bongo with out hurting him.” Rainbow said with relief. “Yeah.” Sunset sighed. “Let’s get back to meditating.” Sunset sat cross legged and Rainbow sat in a Lotus Pose. They both closed their eyes, and started relaxing. Meanwhile, Applejack followed a trail that leads to a hill formation containing small waterfalls. On the top, she sees her target. “There y’all are, Congo Bongo!” Applejack called out. “You won’t get away from hurting my friend!” As Applejack started climbing the ledges, Congo Bongo started throwing coconuts to slow her down. Avoiding the onslaught, the farm girl continues her climb. Suddenly, she got climbed on by two monkeys, who are slowing down. “Hey!” Applejack shouted. “Get off me, you little critters! I have no time for your monkey shines.” Applejack jumped up and down to shake off the monkeys. “That got those monkeys off my back.” When she reached the top ledge, she was staring Congo Bongo in the eyes. “Didn’t think I can make it up here.” Applejack said to her adversary. “Did ya, Congo Bongo?” The gorilla cracked open a coconut, removed Applejack’s hat, and poured coconut milk all over her head. As she was recovering, the mischievous gorilla put the hat back on her head, and scooted away. “Darn that gorilla.” Applejack said to herself. “Of course y’all realize, this means war!” Applejack followed Congo Bongo to another area. She sees the crafty gorilla on the other side of a river. But, Applejack sees a platform with connecting lanes. “Oh boy.” Applejack said to herself. “That platform had to have snakes.” The farmer girl saw snakes on the platform slithering around. Suddenly, she sees a pair of scorpions crawling towards her. “Better to deal with snakes than scorpions.” Applejack jumped onto the platform to advise the scorpions. She carefully made her way on the platform, avoiding the snakes along the way. She quickly jumped from the platform, and confronted Congo Bongo again. “Howdy, big fella.” Applejack said. “Don’t y’all think ya feel bad for giving my friend a hot foot?” The gorilla pulled Applejack’s Stetson hat over her eyes. She was surprised to say the least as Congo Bongo sneaks off. Applejack pulled her hat off, and sees she lost her prey again. “I’ll give him credit, that was a classic.” Applejack said to herself as she puts her hat back on. “But, that still won’t stop me from pursuing that critter.” Applejack followed Congo Bongo to what looks like a barren area full of holes in the ground. She sees Congo Bongo on the other side, jumping and taunting the farm girl. Suddenly, Applejack sees something coming at her. “Hoo-wee!” Applejack gasped. “A rhinoceros!” Applejack soon ducked into one of the holes, avoiding the rhino’s charge. Poking her head out, she sees that there are many rhinos in the area. “I better be careful.” Applejack said to herself. “Those rhinos look angrier than a swarm of bees protecting their hive.” Using the holes to avoid the rhinos, Applejack got close to Congo Bongo’s platform. Soon, she confronts the gorilla again. “Any other tricks up your sleeve, Congo?” Applejack inquired. Congo Bongo soon grabbed a long vine from a tree above him. Then, he wrapped Applejack with it so she wouldn’t move. “I had to ask!” Applejack muttered as she struggled to free herself. As the farm girl tries to get rid of the vines binding her, Congo Bongo slips away. Applejack soon slips out of the vines. “Good thing those yoga stretches Rainbow showed me pay off.” Applejack said as she removes the last of the vines from her legs. “No need to use brute strength all the time.” Realizing that Congo Bongo is gone, Applejack pushes forward. “I wonder where that gorilla went to this time.” She sees the mischievous gorilla on the over side of a river. He is sleeping, making Applejack happy. So, Congo Bongo is asleep. Applejack thought. Now’s my chance to teach him a lesson. Applejack hopped on a lily pad, then on a hippo. Both carried her to a patch of land. She then saw a fearsome looking fish that’s about the size of the hippos. Taking a chance, she hopped on the fish’s back. She hopped off, and saw the fish’s mouth open, and shown his razor sharp teeth. “Oh boy.” Applejack said. “That’s the size of what they call a barracuda.” After avoiding the charge of a rhino, Applejack sees the sleeping gorilla. Taking a long stick, she lit it with the fire of a torch near the gorilla’s throne. She then placed it in his foot. Then, sneaked away. Suddenly, the fire touched Congo Bongo’s foot, and he yelped before placing his foot in a pond near him. After the relief, Congo Bongo sees Applejack on the other side of the stream. She then calls out to him. “Now you know how my friend, Sunset Shimmer, feels. I hope you’ll learn to behave yourself now.” She then tips her hat. “See ya another time, Congo Bongo.” Applejack leaves the area as the gorilla realizes that she is right. Later, back at the campsite, Rainbow Dash and Sunset Shimmer are still in their exercise wear as they sit on a blanket, enjoying some fresh fruit. Applejack takes off her boots, and joins them. “Do you think Congo Bongo will be back?” Rainbow Dash wondered. “I don’t think so.” Sunset replied. “The officials of this area will make sure that gorilla won’t cause any more mischief.” “Especially after how I taught that beast a lesson.” Applejack added. The three friends chuckled as they continue their morning snack, without Congo Bongo disturbing anyone. > Game 5-Venture > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Inside an eerie cavern, writer AK Yearling, author of the Daring Do book series, explores the area, wearing her jungle explorer outfit. As she adjusted her pith helmet, she turns to look at a strange creature made up of different body parts. This creature follows AK into the cavern. “Are you sure this is a good idea, Discord?” AK asked the creature. “Yes, my dear Miss Yearling.” The creature, Discord, replied. “Decades ago, bandits invaded the royal palace of a great ruler, and stole 12 fabulous treasures. They brought them here to these caverns.” “Is this where I come in?” “Indeed.” Discord said as he strokes his beard. He then makes a newspaper appear with a story about the author on the front page. “Even though you’re the creator of Daring Do, you sometimes live the fantasies you create.” “You’re right about one thing.” AK figured. “My own explorations of the past were the inspirations behind my stories.” “This is why the local city museum curator sent you. To find those treasures, and bring them to the museum.” As the two figures enter a chamber, AK looks at Discord with curiosity. “I’m surprised the curator found a statue in another cave, and accidentally set you free from it.” “I agree.” Discord replied as he magically appears in exploration wear. “But, since I was released, I promised to use my Chaos magic to be very helpful. That’s why I’m here with you.” AK then pulls out what looks like an archery type bow. “This bow I found two months ago shoots an unlimited supply of magical light arrows.” AK said as she enters one of the rooms. “Wish me luck.” Discord soon sees a wagon left behind, and takes it. “This wagon will be very helpful in loading the treasures.” He soon sees what looks like floating heads with tentacles underneath. “Oh dear. Hall monsters. Luckily, my magic will protect me from them.” Inside one of the chambers, AK saw a small metal box, full of gold coins. Suddenly, a group of goblins jumped out in front of her. Using the bow, AK made short work of the goblins, and took the box. Exiting out of the chamber, she entered another one. “Oh boy.” AK blurted. “Skeletons. And, they’re guarding another treasure.” The author saw a silver bowl in the distance. After defeating the skeletons, AK grabbed the bowl, and met Discord outside the chamber. “Better be careful.” Discord said with concern. “There are Hall monsters lurking everywhere.” Cautiously, AK and Discord arrived at another chamber. When the explorer went in, she saw a jewel encrusted goblet. “This goblet should match the bowl.” AK thought to herself. Suddenly, a horde of snakes came at her. Using her special bow, she removed the snakes, grabbed the goblet, and exited the room. The two unlikely allies made it to the last chamber of this area. “You found three treasures.” Discord informed. “One more, and this section is down.” Nodding, AK went in. She saw a large diamond in the center of the room. But, she saw the walls move back and forth. Moving cautiously, AK Yearling grabbed the diamond and left the room. “Look at these treasures.” AK cheered. “A small box of gold coins, a silver bowl, a goblet, and a diamond.” “Impressive Indeed.” Discord agreed. “But, you still have eight more to find.” AK Yearling realized that this mystic being is right. “This means our mission continues. Discord, guide me to section two.” The two explorers traveled to another section of the cavern. It has four more rooms, and more hall monsters. “I’ll keep these beasts busy.” Discord said, donning a baseball player uniform and holding a bat. “You go grab those treasures.” “Right!” AK replied as she goes into one of the rooms. AK Yearling soon sees a small marble statue shaped like a rook, a chess piece, just standing there. “This looks too easy.” AK thought. “Why leave a treasure here without any monsters to guard it.” Just as she picks up the statue, a horde of two-headed zombies appeared. Putting down the statue, AK used her bow to do away with the monsters. Picking up the statue, she exits the room from the other side. Discord zipped over to accompany her as she enters another room. She sees a golden crown in the room, along with a bunch of creatures she recognized. “Dragons!” AK yelped as she raised her bow. “This’ll cool then down.” As soon as she defeated the dragons, she grabs the crown, and left the room. “What’s wrong, my friend?” Discord wondered, changing back to his normal self. “I hate dragons.” AK grumbled. With Discord behind her, AK heads for another room when she was confronted by a hall Monster. She used her bow to fight it. But, the light arrows had no affect. Luckily, Discord jumped on the beast, and hogtied it’s tentacles together. Dressed in western garb, Discord gave AK the green light. “This varmint won’t bother ya no more, ma’am. Get a goin’.” AK tips her pith helmet as she enters the room. “Thanks, partner.” The brave explorer sees a scepter guarded by a pair of vicious trolls. Miss Yearling moves around the room, wondering how to get the treasure. Suddenly, a wall disappears and the trolls chartered her. But, using the bow, she defeated the trolls and exits the room with scepter in hand. “One more room, and this section is done.” AK said as she enters the next room. Entering the last room, AK sees a pair of giant spiders guarding a statue of a female villager. But, AK sees something on the statue’s neck. “That beautiful jeweled necklace is what those spiders are guarding.” AK figured. AK vaporized the spiders, and reached for the necklace. Just as she grabbed it, two more spiders appeared. “Reinforcements, huh?” AK said. She zapped the spiders and left the room. “Not anymore.” Finding a safe area with no hall monsters, AK and Discord checked the treasures she collected. “A marble statuette, a crown, a scepter, and a necklace.” Discord observed as he hands AK a canteen of water. “This makes it eight treasures you found.” “That means we have four more to find.” AK replied as she takes a swig of water. She stands up and turns to her companion. “Lead the way to section three.” “Very well.” Discord replied. “After that, I’ll get us out of here and head for the museum.” The two travelers found themselves in the last section of the chamber. They study the structure of the four last rooms. “Time for me to go in.” AK said. “Guard the treasures well.” Dressed as a samurai and holding a katana sword, Discord is ready to defend the cart full of treasures. “Not a problem.” Inside the room, AK sees a golden Arabian style lamp. But there are also genies floating around. “Genies.” AK said as she readies her bow. “Perfect monsters to guard that lamp.” The author made her way to the lamp, fighting and avoiding the genies along the way. She exited the room with lamp in hand. As she entered another room, AK saw another frightening sight. “Yuck!” AK blurted. “One eyed Cyclopses.” As AK battled the one eyed ogres, she saw a jade dragon statue. She grabs it and left the room. “Come on, Discord.” AK said as she puts the lamp and statue in the cart. “To the next room.” “Yes, ma’am.” Discord replied. Avoiding the hall monsters, the two unlikely allies made it to another room. AK entered and saw a bunch of bats guarding a string of pearls. She used the bow to remove the bats, then took the pearls. After leaving the room, AK rushed to the final room. “This is it.” AK thought. “One more room, and Discord and I are out of here.” AK soon saw a silver bracelet with rubies lining it. Just then, a horde of demons came out and charged after her. “Come and get me, you nasty devils!” AK challenged. Using her bow, AK vaporized the demons, took the bracelet, and left the room. “I got the last of the treasures.” AK said. “Get us out of here!” Discord nodded, opened a portal on the wall, and he, AK, and the treasures went in, with the door closing behind them. The duo exited the portal back to the outside of the cavern. “It feels so good to be outside again.” AK said, taking a sip from her canteen. “I agree.” Discord replied. “The fresh air and those clear blue skies are a welcome sight.” Soon, the pair looked at the treasure which was found in the caves. “Thanks to you, Miss Yearling,” Discord announced, “the 12 treasures are found. Now, we can make our way to the museum.” “The museum curator will be pleased.” AK Yearling added. The author rode inside the cart, keeping the treasures safe as Discord pulled the cart back to the city. “Are you sure you can handle this, Discord?” AK wondered. “Don’t worry about me.” Discord replied as he pulled out a bottle of water, and drank some of it. “The museum isn’t far from here anyway.” AK is very impressed with her latest adventure. My biggest fan, Rainbow Dash, won’t believe this. > Game 6-Jungle Hunt > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- On the outskirts of Camp Everfree, Timber Spruce, wearing a deep green rash guard and a new pair of teal swimming trunks, climbs up a tree and looks ahead. He sees a group of vines swinging back and forth. “I can’t believe that this is happening.” Timber said to himself. “My own sister, kidnapped by strange characters.” Flashback Timber and his sister, Gloriosa Daisy, are getting Camp Everfree ready for another summer. Just then, two young people, dressed in light green tunics and dark green tights appeared. One of the people, a young man with lime green skin and midnight blue hair approached the duo holding up a glowing green crystal. “Come with us, Miss Daisy.” The young man said. Gloriosa’s eyes glowed bright green as she responds with a low voice. “Yes, master.” The young counselor slowly walks up to the duo. Timber was shocked to see that. “Hey!” Timber shouted. “What are you doing to my sister?” “We are taking her with us, Timber Spruce.” The young man replied. “Using the power of the forest, we shall resurrect Gaia Everfree. And, she will help us tear down your unneeded camp.” The other person, a sky blue skinned girl with curly confronts Gloriosa. “Remove your shoes!” The young girl ordered. Under the hypnotic spell, Gloriosa took off her shoes and kicked them aside. The young girl then took out some rope and tied Gloriosa’s hands behind her back. “Leave her alone!” Timber yelled as he charged towards the invaders. The boy gave him a strong roundhouse kick. “NO!!” Timber fell back as she sees the two intruders with the bound and helpless Gloriosa draped over the girl’s shoulder. “We WILL bring back Gaia Everfree.” The boy demanded. “And, NOBODY MUST STOP US!” The two strangers ran off carrying Gloriosa away from her brother. Timber watched in horror. End of Flashback “I know where those two took my sister.” Timber figured. “There’s an old fortress that was used about two hundered years ago, And, I’m going over there to rescue her.” Timber sees the vines swinging back and forth. He jumps on the first vine, and starts to swing. When the next vine swings close enough, he jumps to it. And so, it goes on. Timber goes from vine to vine. Nothing slows him down. Not even mischievous monkeys that look down to him. The last vine leads Timber to a lake. He soon jumps in, and looks ahead. “I better be careful.” Timber thought out loud. “I heard that there are alligators in this lake.” Fearlessly, Timber swims in the lake. He sees a gator up ahead, and dives underwater. Knowing he can’t hold his breath very long, he comes up to the surface for air. Timber keeps swimming and diving, avoiding alligators along the way. When he reached the end, Timber went up on dry land. Suddenly, he sees Twilight Sparkle with a duffle bag rushing up to him. “Twilight?” Timber said with confusion. “What are you doing here?” “I heard about what happened.” Twilight explained as she hands him the bag. “I’m here to lend support.” A minute later, Timber switched outfits. He now wore a green denim shirt, blue denim shorts, and brown hiking boots. “Thanks for the clothing.” Timber praised. “Hiking up to that fortress would be rough on bare feet.” “You’re welcome, Timber.” Twilight replied. “I also have news on the kidnappers. The boy is named Rough Branch, and his companion is Stream Skyshot.” “I heard those names before. Didn’t they used to be counselors at Camp Everfree?” “That’s right. But, they are so obsessed by forest legends, they would grab any kid and subject him or her, thinking any dark legend is true. They were eventually fired from the camp.” A thought came to Timber’s head. “So, by trying to bring Gaia Everfree back to life, they will have revenge.” “Not if you can stop them.” Twilight added. “I know where that fortress is. I’ll call the park authorities while you rescue Gloriosa.” “Right! Wish me luck.” Timber then took off as Twilight started dialing her phone. Timber made his way up a large hill. Suddenly, he saw some rocks heading his way. He started jumping over the small rocks, and ducked under the large ones. “Those two must be ready to intercept invaders.” Timber figured. “This won’t stop me!” Timber still made his way up the hill, avoiding the rocks along the way. When he reached the top, he caught his breath. I knew volunteering for lifeguard duty was worth it. Now, to save my sister. Timber made his way to the fortress. He sees his sister sitting in what looks like a stone circle. Her hands were still tied behind her back. Now, her ankles are tied together. Her eyes were still glowing green. Her abductors turned to two bulky men wearing jungle masks, dark green shorts, and carrying pointy spears. “We’re going in the meeting room to prepare the ritual.” Stream Skyshot explained. “That spell we placed on her will wear off in twenty minutes.” “Meanwhile,” Rough Branch continued, “you two stand guard of this girl.” The brutes nodded as the former campers went into a meeting area. Seeing enough, Timber went in to save Gloriosa. “Nothing is going to stop me from saving my sister.” Timber said as the brutes confronted him. “Not even you two goons!” One of the brutes charged at Timber. But, he jumped out of the way, and punched the brute in the stomach. The other one struck down, using the spear like a hammer. But, Timber avoided the spear and jumped over him. He went over to Gloriosa, draped her over his shoulder, and ran away. As he exited the fortress, Rough Branch came out and saw what happened. “Out offering is gone!” Rough Branch yelled. “We must get her back!” Suddenly, he sees a police helicopter over the area. Stream Skyshot got worried. “I think we have other problems to worry about.” Later, Gloriosa slowly opened her eyes, and sees her brother smile. “Timber?” Gloriosa said with confusion. “Is that you?” “In the flesh.” Timber replied. The siblings hugged each other happily. Timber explained everything to Gloriosa. She felt very happy that the nightmare is over. But, one thing crossed her mind. “What happened to Rough Branch and Stream Skyshot?” “The police felt that those two are so possessed by dark legends,” Timber explained, “they felt that time in a mental hospital can help them. I think about three months should do the trick.” Gloriosa Daisy smiled, and asked Timber for something. “Shall we get back to getting the camp ready?” “Sure enough.” Timber explained as he and his sister made their way back to Camp Everfree. > Game 7-Donkey Kong Junior > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy joined Author AK Yearling on a trip to a jungle area. Rainbow was very happy. “Thanks for letting us come with you.” Rainbow Dash praised. “Anything for one of my biggest fans.” AK replied. “I just love nature.” Fluttershy cooed. “The atmosphere, the animals, it feels so relaxing.” “But, we’re here on business.” The girls got a little confused about that. AK gave a startling explanation. “You girls remember when the mighty gorilla, Donkey Kong, was taken here after his little stint in Canterlot City?” “Who doesn’t remember that?” Rainbow replied. “Twilight still has nightmares about what Donkey Kong put her through.” “Well, he’s in trouble.” Fluttershy got shocked to hear that. Soon, a baby gorilla wearing a one piece outfit with a big letter J on it went to the nature lover. “Aw. Aren’t you adorable.” Fluttershy said happily. “That’s Donkey Kong Junior.” AK informed. “Junior?!” Rainbow and Fluttershy yelped. “You mean, that gorilla is a papa?” Rainbow wondered. “Yes.” AK explained. “This little fellow is very upset. That rival archeologist, Dr. Cabeleron, captured his father, ready to take him back to the zoo.” “Donkey Kong never enjoyed being in a cage.” Fluttershy figured. “This is where you two come in. Together, we’re going to save Donkey Kong from Dr. Cabeleron. It’s Daring Do and friends to the rescue.” “I don’t usually like wild adventures.” Fluttershy said as she looks at Junior. “But, to save this little fellow’s father, I’ll gladly help out!” “Me too!” Rainbow added. “Excellent.” AK replied. She soon changed into her explorer outfit, and prepared to head out. “Follow me!” After twenty minutes of exploring, the foursome find themselves in a cliff area. They see Donkey Kong in a cage, ankles and wrists, chained to the cage. And, Dr. Cabeleron next to the gate. “Donkey Kong is MINE!” The rival archeologist gloated. “Soon, I’ll have him taken to the zoo!” As Cabeleron laughed viciously, Junior pointed to the friends the path leading to the cage. “Looks like we got our way to reach Donkey Kong.” AK said as Junior said. “Stay here, girls. I’m going up.” Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash watch as AK Yearling staring making her way through the path. Climbing up along the way. DK Junior held on along the way. “Look out!” Rainbow Dash shouted as she spotted creatures that look like metal bear traps. “Those are snapjaws!” “How observant, spectrum hair!” Cabeleron added. “These little snapjaws will stop anyone coming to take my prize!” “Spectrum Hair?!” Rainbow blurted. “Sheesh!” Luckily for AK, Junior grabbed an apple and tossed it down, hitting the snapjaw, forcing it to fall. Cabeleron watched in shock as Yearling and Junior climbed to the platform where a key is hanging. “It’s over, creep.” AK announced. “Time to release the mighty gorilla.” Just then, Cabeleron’s henchmen moved the cage away. Leaving the hero upset. “Try again!” Cabeleron boasted as he left with the cage. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy got back with AK Yearling. “We can’t let him get away with that?” Fluttershy said angrily.” “And, he won’t.” AK informed. “Let’s go!” Rainbow, Fluttershy, and DK Junior followed AK as the mission to save Donkey Kong continues. They came to a beautiful waterfall where they saw Cabeleron with Donkey Kong still in his cage. “Try to reach him now.” Cabeleron gloated. Happy to wear a short sleeve teal shirt, denim shorts and boots, Fluttershy stepped forward. “My turn!” Fluttershy studied the environment. Moving platforms, and small dark pink birds flying about. She used a bouncy spring to jump onto one of the platforms. She then grabbed the vines, moving forward, avoiding the birds and snapjaws. “You’re friend is very brave, Rainbow Dash.” AK said. “When it comes to helping animals,” Dash replied, “she’ll risk anything to help out.” As Fluttershy reached the top platform, she sees the key to unlock the cage. Avoiding any other birds flying her way, she climbed up a vine and grabbed the key. Just as she was going to unlock the cage, Cabeleron unleashed a smoke bomb to blind the nature lover as he and his henchmen ran off with the gorilla. “Are you okay, Flutters?” Rainbow Dash wondered as she, AK, and Junior caught up with her. “No.” Fluttershy replied sadly. “Cabeleron got away with Donkey Kong again.” The group soon hear a helicopter. They saw a green army copter leave the jungle. “Cabeleron must be taking Donkey Kong.” AK figured. “I’ll call for some transportation of our own.” Minutes later, a deep blue helicopter hovered over the water. Soon, it approached an old fortress on a deserted island. The copter landed on a hidden area of the island near the fortress. AK Yearling and her crew sneaked out. “What now?” Rainbow Dash asked. “I remember there’s a secret way into this place.” AK replied. “I explored this place before.” AK moved a section of the fortress wall, and revealed a staircase. “Follow me.” AK said quietly. Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Junior followed their leader down the stairs. They found themselves in a room with electrodes moving around platforms. Then, they spotted Donkey Kong, still in his cage. “You found my secret hideout.” Cabeleron said as she steps next to the cage. “But, you will not get through this electrical field.” The rival archeologist is very confident in this new area. Rainbow Dash then steps up. “Leave this to me.” “Are you sure, Rainbow?” Fluttershy wondered with fear. “This looks more dangerous than what we went through.” The baby gorilla got nervous. But, AK calmed him down. “Don’t worry, Junior. We’ll save your papa.” “There are no snapjaws here.” Rainbow noticed. “And, with some of the skills I picked up from playing soccer, those electric components won’t get me.” The athletic girl went to the platforms. Jumping over the electrodes, she climbed up from one platform to another. When she reached the top, she sees the cage, and reached for the key. “Hang on, big fella.” Rainbow Dash said to Donkey Kong. Just then, Cabeleron’s henchmen pushed her out of the way, she landed on a platform hard as they cart Donkey Kong away. Her friends caught up to her. “You too.” Fluttershy said sadly. “Me too.” Dash replied. “We can’t give up yet!” AK informed. “Our little friend here is counting on us.” DK Junior moves about, feeling very upset. Fluttershy went to calm her down. “Don’t cry, Junior. We’ll save your dad.” Feeling better, Junior hugged Fluttershy. She hugged him back. Rainbow couldn’t help but smile. “We can’t let this little gorilla down.” Rainbow Dash realized. “Let’s keep going.” The group of heroes confronted Cabeleron again. This time, he’s on a high platform next to the cage. They also see keys hanging on vines. Soon, the villain released snapjaws and big blue birds to give AK and company trouble. “How are we going to conquer this one?” Rainbow asked in frustration. Junior then climbs up one of the vines, pushing the key up, avoiding the deadly creatures along the way. He pushed the key to a lock, and part of the cage vanished along with one of the wrist shackles, giving Donkey Kong some freedom. “Stop that, you disgusting little monkey!” Cabeleron yelled. Junior just stuck his tongue out and carefully climbed down. Everybody saw what their friend did, and got the idea. “Good thinking, Junior.” Fluttershy praised. “Let’s go for it!” Dash added. The three heroes started climbing the vines, avoiding the snapjaws and birds, and pushing the keys to the locks. Rainbow pushed two keys up, and unlocked two bottom cage areas including one of the shackles to the gorilla’s ankles. “That’s two and three.” Dash proudly said as she carefully climbed back down. Fluttershy unlocked a top part of the cage and the other ankle shackle. “And, that’s four and five.” As Fluttershy climbs back down, AK sees that one piece of the cage and one wrist shackle remains. As soon as she places the key into the lock, they vanish and Donkey Kong is free. “There you are, big boy.” As AK Yearling climbs down, Donkey Kong jumps with joy and climbs down to join the heroes. As Cabeleron rushes down to confront them, Junior hops on his poppa and hugs him. “A father and son back together.” Fluttershy cooed as she starts to tear up. “Doesn’t this help you feel good?” Rainbow looks at it, and felt a little emotional too. “I guess it does.” “Come on, everybody.” AK Yearling said. “Let’s take these charming gorillas home.” As AK and company leaves back to the outside, Cabeleron got mad. “You won’t take that gorilla anywhere!” Cabeleron starts to pursue the noble group. But, Donkey Kong gives one punch, and the rival archeologist runs away. “Never mind.” > Game 8-Crazy Climber > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rolling Thunder and Short Fuse wearing dark blue long sleeve shirts, gray track pants and sneakers are holding microphones in their hands. “Hello, adrenaline fans!” Rolling Thunder announced. “It’s time once again for ‘The Extreme Stunts Show’.” “With your host,” Short Fuse continued, “Lightning Dust!” The scene turns to the reckless Lightning Dust standing next to a tall building. She wears a lime green track jacket over a black shirt, blue 3/4 jogger pants and white sneakers. She carries a helmet and a pair of sturdy gloves. “What’s up, fellow extreme sport fans?” Lightning Dust said to the camera. “Today, I’m going to show you how to be a true Crazy Climber. For this, you’ll need three items.” She points to the building. “One, a tall building.” She points to herself. “Two, a brave volunteer, like me.” Lightning then presents her helmet and gloves. “And three, safety gear. Even someone like me need to be prepared. Then, all you have to do is climb to the top, climb into the waiting helicopter, and your task is completed.” Rolling Thunder and Short Fuse watch with excitement and fear as Lightning starts to climb. “Then, there’s always various obstacles to overcome.” Lightning explained as she climbs the building. “Like falling debris,” Lightning scoots to the side as various objects fall down. “giant signs,” She moves to the other side as a big sign bounces down. “and some that are stationary. Like those active wires.” Carefully, Lightning avoids the wires. Her two companions below felt relief. “Despite obstacles like that,” Lightning continued, “you must be careful as the climb becomes more hazardous as you climb higher.” A mean looking man with black curly hair popped out holding a flower pot. “Which brings up the problem of angry tenants who don’t like building climbers.” The man dropped the flower pot. Lightning avoided the pot. But, it struck Rolling Thunder on the head. “And, I thought it’s dangerous up there.” Short Fuse said as he pointed up. “You can say that again, mate.” Rolling Thunder replied as he rubbed his head. Back to the building, Lightning sees a giant white bird as her lecture continues. “Sometimes, a giant bird may come along, and drop eggs and droppings to knock you down.” The bird drops a lot of bird droppings. Lightning moves to the side, and avoids the droppings. But, the mess hits the man who tried to bonk the reckless girl earlier. “Yuck!” “And also, there’s a giant gorilla waving a ball around, trying to hit you hard.” Lightning Dust continued. “But, with good timing, you can avoid being whacked by that overgrown monkey.” Lightning avoided the gorilla. About five minutes later, after reaching the top, she grabbed a rope that was dangling over her, and she was pulled into an awaiting blue helicopter. Lightning climbed in to give a last statement. “And, there you have it!” The helicopter soon went away from the building, and slowly descended. Later, she was back with her two companions. “Congratulations, Lightning Dust.” Rolling Thunder praised. “You did a real impossible stunt. Do you think anybody would have comments?” “I’m sure about that.” Lightning replied. “In fact, three special people just contacted me, and gave me their opinion about what I did today.” “Really?” Short Fuse said with confusion. “Who are they?” Lightning Dust gave a proud answer. “Principal Celestia, Vice Principal Luna, and the leader of the soccer team at CHS, Spitfire.” She holds up a big piece of forest green paper with the words ‘THE END’ written with yellow paint. Lightning then speaks with a sad tone. “They forced me to promise not to do another crazy stunt.” > Game 9-Burger Time > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- At an interactive activity center in Canterlot City, Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna are outside a dressing room, waiting for someone. “Are you sure about this, sister?” Luna asked. “Hopefully, not much longer.” Celestia replied. Out stepped Twilight Sparkle dressed in a chef outfit. It comprises of a long sleeve white shirt with red stripes, red pants, black shoes, an apron, and a white puffy hat with a ‘P’ on it. “You look fantastic, Twilight.” Celestia cooed. “Thank you.” Twilight replied. “But, this is not a restaurant. What’s with the chef outfit?” “You’ll find out.” Luna answered. “Follow us.” Minutes later, Twilight finds herself in a giant room filled with platforms and stairways. She holds what looks like a pepper shaker in her hand. “Are you ready?” Luna asked through a speaker. “I think so.” Twilight responded. At a control center, the sisters watch the action on a monitor. Celestia turns to Micro Chips, who volunteered to help out. “Is the special game program ready?” Celestia asked. “Game program BT82 ready.” Micro replied. “Then, let the games begin.” Micro turned on a switch. Soon, lights were swirling around Twilight. They started to form platforms, stairs, and objects that look like parts of hamburgers. “I don’t believe it!” Twilight gasped as she realized what the set up is. “I’m in the world of Burger Time!” “Correct.” Celestia announced. “Since you recognize the area, you know your objective. To construct four hamburgers by running over the buns, patties, lettuce, and so on. You have a pepper shaker that has five charges of pepper. You can pick up extra charges by touching the shaker to an ice cream cone, french fries, and cups of coffee that show up on occasion. “You probably know what will stop you from reaching your goal.” Luna added. Twilight gave her hosts an answer. “I’m guessing that I’ll be facing hot dogs, fried eggs, and pickles.” “Correct.” Celestia responded. “Ready?” “As ready as I’ll ever be.” “Then,” Luna said as she flips a switch, “let’s get this party started.” Seeing that the challenge is on, Twilight ran up flights of stairs to reach the top floor. She then ran over a hamburger bun, and it fell. It collided to other parts of a hamburger until the bottom fell to the bottom, under Twilight’s starting point. “That looks easy.” Twilight said. But, she turned around and saw a human sized hot coming at her. Another human sized hot dog came from the other side. “Me and my big mouth!” Running down a staircase, Twilight avoided the hot dogs as she runs over the top bun again, causing the same chain reaction. After avoiding the hot dogs various times, Twilight continued the path until the first hamburger was done. “Well done, Twilight.” Celestia said over an intercom. “You completed one burger.” “Thanks.” Twilight replied catching her breath. “I’m sure getting a workout today.” “But, you still got three to complete.” Luna informed. Twilight ran up back to the top. Running over a top bun, she starts another chain reaction. This time, the two humanoid hot dogs got crushed by the bun, and vanished. “That takes care of that.” Twilight said with relief. Suddenly, she saw the hot dogs come out of their chambers. “I forgot, they come back.” On the bottom, she saw two more obstacles. “Here comes a third hot dog and a fried egg!” As her progress continued, the three hot dogs climbed down the stairs to confront Twilight. She shook her shaker and sprinkled pepper on her pursuers. As the hot dogs recovered, she ran across the bun and it fell, carrying the hot dogs with it. Surprisingly, their weight helped complete the second burger. “Two down and two to go.” Twilight said as the fried egg came at her. “Not today, yolk breath!” She sprinkled the pepper on the fried egg. As it recovered, Twilight ran off. Her pepper counter read ‘3’. Seeing a cup of coffee, Twilight touched it with her pepper shaker, and the counter soon read ‘4’. “That’s that.” Twilight said as she made her way to the third pile. “The fried egg is snapping out of it, and those three hot dogs will come back.” Twilight ran over burger parts, avoided the humanoid food items, paralyzing them as little as possible, and built the third burger. After charging her pepper shaker with an image of an ice cream cone, having the counter display ‘3’, Twilight makes her way to the fourth and final burger. “Uh oh.” Twilight gasped as she sees something coming out of the doors. “Here come the pickles.” She was right. Two living pickles came flipping towards Twilight. She reached the top bun of the last burger. “Thank goodness for that pile of french fries.” Twilight said with relief. “This brings my pepper counter to ‘4’.” The young brainiac saw that she was in a bad situation. A pickle on the bottom of a stairway, two hot dogs to her left, and a hot dog, fried egg, and pickle to her right. But, she soon opened her eyes wide. “I got an idea!” Stepping to the right, away from the two pursuers, she sprinkled pepper on the two hot dogs. As they recovered, she moves to the end of the bun, paralyzing the three other food monsters with the peppers. She walks past them, allowing their weight to have the bun fall. This causes a chain reaction that completes the final hamburger. As the burgers glowed, signaling that the challenge is over, the Sisters speak over the speaker system. “Congratulations, Twilight.” Celestia praised. “You won the Burger Time Challenge.” “How do you feel?” Luna asked. “I feel...like... I can.. go for a ..hamburger... right now.” Twilight panted. Everybody had a good laugh. The next day at the diner, Twilight was enjoying a bacon cheese omelet when Sunset Shimmer looked at it with confusion. “I thought you wouldn’t want to deal with eggs again,” Sunset said humorously, “after your day in the world of Burger Time.” Taking a bite of the egg, Twilight gave Sunset a big smile. “This is one way to get revenge.” The two friends let out a small giggle, knowing Twilight has a point. > Game 10-Blue Print > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- On a beautiful Saturday morning, Applejack and Rarity were jogging into a peaceful neighborhood. Applejack wore a light teal short sleeve shirt, blue gym shorts, and white sneakers. Rarity wore a lavender shirt with thumb holes, black spandex shorts, and blue sneakers. They stopped for a while to take sips from water bottles they brought with them. “I don’t mind working out with you.” Rarity said, catching her breath. “But, this is one rough workout.” “Nothing like a good jog to get ya goin’ for the day.” Applejack replied. “Besides, you probably need to keep your gorgeous figure in shape.” Rarity blushed, knowing that the farm girl is right. “Touché. I’m very surprised that your Stetson doesn’t fall off while you’re jogging.” Suddenly, a creepy looking figure came along. He had a round brown body strong looking yellow arms and legs, and bulgy eyes on his head. “What is that gruesome thing?” Rarity asked. “Dunno.” Applejack replied. Suddenly, the creature lunged at her. “Hey! He’s after me!” Applejack ran away. But, the creature went after her. “Hang on, Applejack!” Rarity called our. “I’ll save you.” Suddenly, a black haired man wearing a red polo shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes stepped in and blocked her path. “That beast, Ollie Ogre, is too powerful for you to handle.” The man informed. “But, he’s chasing my friend.” Rarity said nervously. “I have to do something!” “There is one thing.” The man said as she is shown the neighborhood. “In this neighborhood, there are eight pieces of a machine that can stop Ollie Ogre. But, be careful. There maybe bombs hidden around here.” He points to a hole near their location. “If you find a bomb, drop it down there. A monster might pop out of that hole sometimes. He’ll try to take apart the machine as you’re assembling it. Just lead him into that hole to get him out of the way.” “Understood.” Rarity replied. She sees Applejack keeping her distance from her pursuer. “Applejack can hold her own while I assemble this strange machine. Looks like I’ll get another big workout this morning.” Rarity made her way to a nearby house, and looks like a boot. She wasn’t sure what it is. She then saw another boot at another house. Rarity placed the two boots down on the ground near the houses. These boots must be part of that strange machine. Rarity thought. Two Down, six to go. Meanwhile, Applejack was keeping her distance from her beastly pursuer. Hiding behind a tree, she waited for the beast to approach. Then, she stuck her foot out and tripped him. “That’ll hold ya for a bit.” Applejack said as she ran off. Rarity placed down another piece of the machine she’s assembling. Not knowing what it is, she went off again. In front of another house, there was a piece that connects to the piece she’s found. Rarity connects the four pieces she collected so far. It looks like I assembled a storage area for ammunition to blast that creature. Rarity thought. Since I picked up four pieces, I am half way done with this mission. Rarity soon rushed into another house. But, she pulled out a bomb. “Yikes! Better get rid of this!” Remembering the hole near her workspace, Rarity threw the bomb in there. After the explosion, she was relieved. Meanwhile, Applejack was up in a tree, resting from being chased by Ollie Ogre. “That beast it relentless.” Applejack said to herself. “Hope he doesn’t climb trees.” The creature spotted Applejack, and punched on the tree, hoping to bring her down. She then jumped down onto his head, dazing him, and took off again. “That rest was what I needed.” Back at the workspace, Rarity puts on two more pieces of the machine she found. They were a crank, and the top part of a hose connected to the ammo box. "I just need to find two more," Rarity figured, "then the machine is finished. " Suddenly, a round, blue monster with legs hopped out of the hole, and made it's way to the workspace. Rarity saw that it was the monster she was told about. Using her charm, she lead the monster back to it's hole. Then, it's back to work. Grabbing a giant rock, Applejack was ready to knock down Ollie Ogre. "Try this, you brute!" She threw the rock, and hits Ollie in the head. Applejack then ran to find a place to hide while the beast recovers. Back at the workspace, Rarity returns with the eighth and final piece of the machine. "Lucky I found that curved piece that acts like a launcher for the ammo." Rarity said as she connects the last piece, a giant funnel. "Assembly complete. Now, to save Applejack!" Hopping onto the machine, Rarity turned a key, and rode off. Applejack help her fists up, ready to defend herself against Ollie Ogre as she approaches her. Suddenly, Rarity came to the rescue on the wacky machine. "I'm coming, Applejack!" Rarity called out. "Time for Ollie Ogre to get his!" Rarity started turning the crank. Balls came out from the bottom of the tank. A glove punches the balls up the tube, and starts hitting Ollie Ogre in many places. Having enough, he ran away, not to be seen again. Later, Rarity presented the machine to the people of the neighborhood. "With this machine," Rarity announced, "Ollie Ogre will never bother you again!" The people cheered as Applejack and Rarity walked out of the neighborhood, and back home. "Are you okay, darling?" Rarity asked. "Yeah, I'm fine." Applejack replied. "My mishap with that big bully, Ollie Ogre, sure gave me a workout." "Not quite the workout you had in mind, I bet." The two friends shared in a laugh as they made their way back to home. > Game 11-Zaxxon > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Somewhere in outer space, a mighty base is stationed on a distant planet. This base is headquarters to a team of intergalactic warriors called the Wonderbolts. In the main meeting room, their leader, Captain Spitfire, addresses her troops. “Okay, you grunts!” Spitfire said with authority. “We are the best team of soldiers in this galaxy. This mission will test our abilities and honor.” Spitfire turns on a monitor, it displays a young woman with marigold hair and wearing a crimson body suit. Spitfire explains about her. “This is the vicious criminal, Lightning Dust. She escaped from Space Prison and is determined to wreak havoc all over the galaxy.” The image switches to a light teal robot with lightning bolts on its chest, and pointed antennas on its head. “This is her nasty creation. A deadly robot named Zaxxon.” The other soldiers got surprised at the sight of this machine. “With a robot like this,” Sky Stinger realized, “nobody is safe.” “That’s where we come in.” Misty Fly replied. “We’re going to stop this machine of doom.” Spitfire then organizes the team. “Misty Fly, there’s a floating base that’s near this location. You head over there to see if you can find any information about Zaxxon.” “Yes, ma’am!” Misty Fly responded. “Permission to take Sky Stinger and Vapor Trail with me.” “Permission, granted. The more, the merrier.” Spitfire turns back to her monitor. “There’s a fleet of drone ships no doubt patrolling the area. Soarin’ Skies, Fleetfoot, and I will take them down.” She then switches the image to a floating fortress. “This place is where Zaxxon is located. Once team 1 gives us the info we need, it’ll be your turn, Rainbow Dash.” Rainbow Dash, the young up and coming Wonderbolt, soon speaks to her leader. “I fly into the fortress, and using the data Misty Fly and her team gives us, I destroy that terrible robot.” “That’s right!” Spitfire replied. “This will be a good opportunity for you to prove your worth to the Wonderbolts.” Rainbow Dash smiled, knowing that this is her chance to be a hero. “Okay, squad!” Spitfire ordered. “Let’s mount our jet fighters. It’s time to take Lightning Dust and Zaxxon down!” Minutes later, a fleet of seven space jets flew up to the area of the base. They land on an asteroid, hidden from any surveillance devices. “Team one,” Spitfire ordered, “take off to that base, and get the information we need!” “Yes, ma’am!” The three Wonderbolts called out as their jets sneak into the base. Meanwhile, Soarin’ Skies see something on a scanner scope. “Captain Spitfire! Those drone fighters you talked about are heading this way!” Sure enough, a massive fleet of crimson saucer shaped jets approach the area. “Rainbow Dash,” Spitfire said, “you stay behind. Once you get the information downloaded into your computer system, head for that fortress.” “Yes, ma’am!” Rainbow Dash replied. As Spitfire, Soarin’ Skies, and Fleetfoot, take off, Rainbow Dash sees a pyramid shaped object at the opposite direction of the base. That’s got to be the fortress Zaxxon is at. Rainbow figured. Be careful, everybody. Inside the base, Misty Fly and her squad flew their jets through the base. They go through tunnels, dodge electric fences, and blast away any laser posts and missile launchers. “There’s a computer system around the corner.” Sky Stinger reported. “There are no defenses there.” “Probably no expectations of visitors.” Misty Fly figured. “Let’s go!” The three jets arrived at the location, and landed. The pilots got out of their vessels, and made their way to the computer. “Think you can do it, Vapor Trail?” Misty Fly asked. “With my computer skills,” Vapor replied, “watch me.” Vapor Trail soon hacked her way into the computer system. Soon, schematics if the robot, Zaxxon, appeared. She then tapped the computer keys more, and started to download the information to Rainbow Dash. “Once the download is complete,” Sky Stinger said, “we’re out of here.” “Hopefully Spitfire will leave some drones for us to blast.” Misty agreed. Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash sees her monitor activate. It shows her the blueprints of Zaxxon, as well as its weaknesses. Satisfied, Rainbow powers up her jet, and takes off. Fleetfoot sees her heading for the fortress. “Captain Spitfire!” Fleetfoot reported. “What’s that hot shot doing?!” Spitfire sees Rainbow heading for the space pyramid, and smiled. “Don’t worry, Fleetfoot. Team one probably gave her the info she needed.” Suddenly, Misty and her squad arrived at the area and joined the battle. “Mission accomplished.” Misty reported. “The information is downloaded, and Rainbow Dash is ready for Zaxxon.” “That’s good.” Spitfire replied. “Join the battle. We still got some drone jets to deal with.” With that, the six fighter jets fly around space, blasting drones along the way. As he was fighting, Soarin’ Skies thought about the fighter heading for a battle against Zaxxon. Be careful, Rainbow. Slipping through the defenses, Rainbow flew her jet into the fortress. She was astounded with the structure. The hot shot pilot flew around and under electrical fenses, used the voltage beam cannons on her jet to fire any gun turrets, and drop light bombs below. In another location, a shadowy figure watches. “So, we have an uninvited guest.” The figure said with a young female voice. “Let’s see if this pilot can handle my vicious creation.” Back at the fortress, Rainbow Dash found herself in a wide arena sized area. Suddenly, a large silhouette was in sight. It revealed itself to be a giant sized teal colored robot with lightning bolt shaped antennas on its head, glowing red eyes, and dark blue lightning bolts on its chest. “That’s got to be Zaxxon.” Rainbow for figured. The robot charged at the jet. But, it zipped away fast. It turned to face Zaxxon. “First thing is to shoot it’s big eyes.” Rainbow said. “This way, it won’t see what it’s doing.” Rainbow fired the jet’s laser cannon on Zaxxon’s eyes. The lenses shattered, cutting off its eyesight. It also stops the figure from seeing the battle. “Drat!” The figure said. “I can’t see what’s going on now!” Meanwhile, Rainbow swerved back, aiming at another target. “Now, to knock off those antennas to disrupt its guidance systems.” The laser cannons hit the antennas, and they shattered. This causes Zaxxon to wonder aimlessly. This gives Rainbow Dash an opportunity to finish him off. “Ready laser torpedoes.” Rainbow Dash called. A hatch opens under the jet, revealing a tube shaped launcher. “FIRE!” A glowing torpedo ejected from the jet, and struck the robot in the chest. The robot sizzled, then fell to its knees. Landing her jet, Rainbow Dash stepped out, and used her jet pack to fly over to the short circuiting Zaxxon. She then takes out an orb, and pushes a button on it. “This blast grenade should finish the job.” Rainbow said proudly. She drops it in a hole on Zaxxon’s chest, then runs back to her jet. She ducks in just when the grenade explodes from the inside. There was nothing left of Zaxxon but smoking metal and circuits. “Rainbow Dash To Captain Spitfire.” Rainbow said on her communicator. “Mission accomplished. Zaxxon is history!” Outside the fortress, Spitfire responds. “Well done, Rainbow Dash. We just finished destroying the drone jets.” Rainbow Dash was happy to here that. “Anything else, ma’am?” Spitfire gave her hot shot recruit a report. “The Galactic Police found out where Lightning Dust is hiding. Stay right there until a pick up unit arrives. They’ll help gather Zaxxon’s remains.” “Roger that!” Meanwhile, the shadowy figure steps into the light. It turns out to be the outlaw, Lightning Dust, wearing a crimson jumpsuit with black boots. “Those Wonderbolts will pay for destroying Zaxxon!” Lightning grumbled. As soon as Lightning Dust stepped outside, she saw many soldiers wearing dark blue armor and white helmets pointing rifles and small guns at her. “This is the Galactic Police!” One of the soldiers announced. “You are outnumbered. Surrender!” Lightning soon raised her hands to show that she gives up. One of the soldiers cuffed her hands behind her back when the Wonderbolts and a transport truck arrived. “Captain Spitfire.” Lightning Dust said with disgust. “We meet at last.” “Lightning Dust,” Spitfire replied. “your reign of terror is over. Zaxxon is finished.” “I created Zaxxon to be my most powerful creation. How did you space soldiers destroy it?” “With a little help from my best recruit. I personally awarded her with a fireball medal for bravery.” The Wonderbolts stepped aside as Rainbow Dash approaches the outlaw. Dash proudly wears the medal she was given. “Of course!” Lightning figured. “The hot shot pilot I heard about. Rainbow Dash!” “Sorry, Lightning Dust.” Rainbow Dash said as she signaled the transport truck to stop in front of her. “Looks like Zaxxon went to pieces.” She stepped aside. “But, I think all of the pieces are here.” The truck dumped out the remains of Zaxxon in front of Lightning Dust. Seeing all of this scrap metal made her realize one thing. She’s on her way to jail. > Game 12-Kung Fu Master > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The cocky Zephyr Breeze walks over to a five story oriental style building. Wearing a red Kung Fu outfit, he stares at it. “Hey, Zephyr!” Rainbow Dash yelled as she heads to his location. “Rainbow Dash.” Zephyr called out. “What are doing here?” “What are YOU doing here?” Rainbow Dash replied angrily. “Are you trying a crazy stunt to impress me again? Because what ever you’re up to, IT WON’T WORK!” Zephyr took out a piece of paper, trying to calm Rainbow down. “If you stop seeing red for a moment, look at this.” Rainbow looks at a note given to him. Dear Zephyr Breeze, I have captured your sister, Fluttershy. If you want to see her again, come to my hideout in a pagoda at an old part of town. Me and my soldiers will be waiting. Mr. X Rainbow saw the note. But, wasn’t convinced. “Yeah, right! I don’t believe it!” Zephyr then pulled out a picture that came with the note. “Then, believe this!” Rainbow’s eyes widened when se the picture. It was Fluttershy sitting on a chair, upper body wrapped with rope, hands tied behind her back, ankles tied together, and mouth covered by white cloth. “Fluttershy is my sister.” Zephyr informed. “And, I’m going to save her!” Zephyr Breeze heads for the pagoda as Rainbow Dash watched with shock. “He’s egotistical. But, he does care for his sister.” Inside the building, Zephyr thinks about his mission. From what the instructions told me, Fluttershy is held at the 5th floor. Mr. X will regret this! Zephyr makes his way through the hallway. Suddenly, vicious looking men in blue fighter suits came out. “Aw, man.” Zephyr said with disgust. “Grippers. Those guys will cling onto you and leave you weak.” The Grippers came at him. But, using well placed punches and kicks, Zephyr battled his way through them. Some of the Grippers tried to grab him. But, he shook them off. Zephyr even dodged knives being tossed at him by more evil fighters. Soon, he saw a staircase, guarded by a big man wearing a blue shirt, white pants, and black boots. He wields a strong staff. “Must be one of the five sons of The Devil.” Zephyr thought. “I have to battle him to go forward.” The fighter swung his staff to hit Zephyr. But, the plucky teen ducked and jumped out of the way. Soon, he fought back. One kick to the stomach and the staff wielding fiend fell to his knees. This allowed Zephyr to pass him and walk up the stairs. “That takes care of him.” Zephyr proudly said. “On to floor number two.” Zephyr reached the second floor. Just as he did, a jar fell down. It cracked, and released a cobra. One low kick, and Zephyr beat it. Then a yellow ball hit the ground, and brought out a dragon. Zephyr ducked out of the way of the fire breath. As the dragon vanished, Zephyr moved on. A multi colored ball hovered over the air. Suddenly, it exploded and Zephyr avoided the pieces of the ball. “Confetti bombs!” Zephyr said with shock. “I forgot about those things!” The young teen went through the hallway. Defeating and dodging all of those obstacles. The Grippers came back along with short guys wearing green outfits. “Oh man.” Flash thought. “Tom Toms. Those fighters are small. But they can hop on one’s heads without notice.” Zephyr fought his way through the fighters. He then saw a vicious man in a crimson outfit, carrying a sickle. “He looks like another son of the Devil.” Zephyr figured. The battle went on. The fighter tossed his sickle at Zephyr. But, he dodged the deadly weapon as, like a boomerang, it comes back to its master. The two figured battled each other. Then, Zephyr dodged the sickle, and punched the vicious fighter in the jaw. This allowed Zephyr to climb up the stairs. “So long, creep.” Zephyr said to his opponent. “On to floor number three.” Meanwhile, on the fifth floor, a shadowy figure looks at the bound and gagged Fluttershy. “Your brother is coming up to save you.” The figure said with a low voice. “He’ll never survive.” The figure just laughed as Fluttershy sat there as muffled cries came from her. On the third floor, Zephyr fought his way through Grippers, Tom Toms, and knife throwers. When he went to the staircase, a muscular bald man wearing a white tank top, gray pants, and black boots stood in front of the young man. “Try to get through me, little man.” The muscle man said with a deep voice. Zephyr dodged the man’s punches, and delivered a few punches and kicks which didn’t phase him that much. “I’m too tough for you, kid.” The fighter remarked. “You know what they say.” Zephyr replied. “The bigger they are,” He did a spinning low kick to knock the brute down. “the harder they fall!” With the brute dazed, Zephyr climbs up the stairs. “On to floor number four.” Zephyr arrived at the fourth floor. Suddenly, a bunch of small red things flew towards him. “Oh man!” Zephyr blurted. “Poisonous moths! Better be careful around those things.” The young teen battled and dodged the moths. After fighting more foot soldiers, he confronted a weird looking man with a staff. “Try to get through me!” The man said. The stranger fired a fireball at Zephyr. He ducked out of the way. But, the fire became a mini vulture. Zephyr soon defeated it. He tried to get to the crafty character. But, he disappeared. “This guy is a sneaky.” Zephyr thought out loud. “But, I’ll still beat him.” Zephyr battled against the creepy man. He started to make contact. Soon, the son of the Devil fell, and Zephyr climbed up the stairs. “On to floor number five! And, Mr. X!” On the fifth floor, the shadowy Mr. X watches Zephyr’s every move. “So, he’s heading this way.” Mr. X said as the bound and gagged Fluttershy watches. “Perhaps it’s time that I meet this young fellow face to face.” Zephyr made his way through the hallway of the fifth floor, fighting Grippers and Tom Toms along the way. Soon, he meets up with a strong looking brown haired man wearing a sleeveless yellow shirt, silver bracelets, dark gray pants, and brown boots. “Mr. X, I presume?” Zephyr wondered. “That is correct, Mr. Breeze.” The fiend replied. “I congratulate you for making it this far.” “Where’s my sister, creep?!” “In the room behind me. But, if you wish to save her,” Mr. X raises his muscular arms. “you’ll have to beat me!” Zephyr prepares for this battle. “Let’s get it on!” The two fighters soon battled. They match each other’s moves, not backing down. In the other room, Fluttershy listens to the battle, hoping Zephyr would win. Outside, the two fighters seem exhausted. “You’re....no...weakling, Zephyr.” Mr. X said, catching his breath. “You are..quite... the adversary.” “You’re..not so bad...yourself.” Zephyr replied, equally tired. “But, I must save...Fluttershy!” With one big punch, Zephyr hit Mr. X’s stomach, dazzling him long enough for Zephyr to use a roundhouse kick to knock him out. “See you later, Mr. X.” Zephyr said as he leaves for the other room. Zephyr unties Fluttershy and removes the cloth from her mouth. She wraps her arms around him. “Thanks, brother.” “You’re welcome, sis.” Zephyr replied as he returned the hug. “Let’s get out of here.” Later, the two teens left the pagoda, happy to get out of there. “Good thing you remember that elevator Mr. X used to bring you up there.” Zephyr said happily. “I’m just glad to get out of there.” Fluttershy replied. “Let’s go home.” Just as Zephyr and Fluttershy head for home, Rainbow Dash and Applejack caught up to them. “You okay, Fluttershy?” Applejack wondered. “I heard what happened.” “I’m fine.” Fluttershy replied. “Thanks to my brother.” Fluttershy was grateful to her brother. But, Rainbow Dash came near and pushed Zephyr away. “You’ll never be a hero to me, Zephyr!” Rainbow Dash said cruelly as she stood next to Fluttershy. “I’LL escort Fluttershy home.” Rainbow walked with Fluttershy as they walk down the street together. Fluttershy was sad that Rainbow wouldn’t let Zephyr walk her home. The young hero was very upset as Applejack cane to comfort him. “Don’t worry, Zephyr.” Applejack confirmed. “I think you did pretty good. I may not have seen the action myself. But, I think y’all did pretty good.” “Thanks, Applejack.” Zephyr said with relief. “At least somebody think so.” > Game 13-Gauntlet > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- In a beautiful castle, the charming princesses, Celestia and Luna, sit proudly on their thrones. Celestia is wearing a marigold long sleeve gown going right over her ankles. She has on red shoes, and wears a flowing cape with red, orange, and yellow stripes, arranged like a sunset. Luna’s dress is the same. Except that her gown is deep blue, her shoes are black, and her cape is midnight blue with white stars all over. Soon, the noble Cranky Doodle, wearing a regal outfit, approached the princesses. “Your majesties,” Crank Doodle reported, “Now that we made peace with King Thorax and the Changelings, these rebels among the Dragon tribe are causing plenty of trouble.” “We’re fortunate,” Celestia replied, “that we have a group of fighters to help us in our time of need.” Luna then turns to a knight carrying a trumpet. “Call in the Gauntlet Warriors!” The trumpeter blew the horn. Soon, four female warriors came out. One is orange skinned with blond hair. She wore a red short sleeve shirt, crimson shorts and brown boots. She also carries an ax. Warrior two is a yellow skinned lady with red and yellow hair streaks. She wore a blue one piece and black boots. She carries a long sword. Warrior three has light blue skin and white hair. She wore a long yellow gown and white shoes. Warrior four has pink skin and dark pink hair. She wore a green tunic, light green tights, brown boots, and carries an archery bow. “Reporting for duty, your highnesses.” The lady in red said with a southern accent. “Applejack, the Warrior!” The lady in blue spoke next. “Sunset Shimmer, the Valkyrie!” The lady in yellow is next. “Trixie, the Wizard!” Finally, the young woman in green spoke in a voice that sounds like a kid. “Pinkie Pie, The Elf!” Seeing the warriors at attention, Celestia speaks. “Gauntlet Warriors, rebels in the Dragon Tribe are causing trouble for this kingdom. Dragon lord Ember wishes these rebels to be captured, so that she may rehabilitate them.” “And, remember this.” Luna said. “Yes?” The Warriors said in unison. “Many kingdoms depend on you all.” The four warriors spoke in shock. “No!” “YES!” “Yes, ma’am.” Applejack replied. “As you wish.” Sunset added. “Very well.” Trixie said elegantly. “Okie Dokie.” Pinkie chirped. After bowing, the Gauntlet Warriors left to go on their mission. As the warriors traveled through the kingdom, they think about their destination. "There are reports that there are dragon sightings in Dream Valley." Trixie informed. "I wonder if those are the rebels our leaders told us about." Pinkie wondered. Sunset soon got their attention. "Shhh. Look." They got behind a bush, and saw some dragon warriors gather. Soon, a teal female dragon named Flare came to a large black dragon. "Flume," Flare said, "I heard from the grapevine that Celestia and Luna sent the Gauntlet Warriors to try and capture us." "Well, keep an eye out for those female fighters." Flume replied. Pinkie Pie started to get nervous. "Dream Valley is looking like a nightmare now." "Well then," Applejack replied. "let's make our presence known." Sunset gave a whistle, which got the dragons' attention. Soon, the four warriors emerged and took battle stands. Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Sunset Shimmer readied their weapons as Trixie raised her hands, preparing to use her magic. "Time for you dragons to surrender!" Trixie informed. Flume gave the order. "It's the Gauntlet Warriors. Attack them!" The dragons charged at the warriors. But, the girls seperated to avoid being bunched together. A fearsome green dragon went after Sunset. She used her sword to protect herself. Sunset pushed the dragon back. Suddenly, the dragon made a pile of skulls appear. Then, a bunch of ghosts came out. Sunset slash the ghosts, and they disappeared. But, more ghosts came at her. PInkie, who saw Sunset in trouble, shot her arrow at the skulls. The skulls vanished, allowing Sunset to destroy the rest of the ghosts. The green dragon got mad, and ran away. "Thanks, Pinkie." Sunset praised. "My pleasure, Sunny." PInkie happily replied. "Destroy the base, and no more beasties will get you." Trixie used her fireball magic to fight off against more of the dragons while Applejack battled Flume. "This is not your lifestyle." Applejack said, using her ax to block Flume's arm swipes. "Let Dragon Lord Ember help you." "Not a chance, Miss Applejack!" Flume replied as he turns to the other dragons. "Retreat!" The rebel dragons followed Flume away from Dream Valley. "Where can those dragons go anyway?" Applejack wondered. "If I had to guess," Pinkie answered. "maybe at a village near Lavaridge Mountain." "That makes sense. Lavaridge Mountain is a great place for dragons. Well, those that are not trouble makers." "Didn't you say that you have a friend who lives in that village?" Trixie asked. "I think so." Applejack replied. Then, an idea came up. "Maybe she can help us." What the fearless foursome don't know is that the nasty wanderer, Sonata Dusk, was listening in. Then, she zipped away. The scene changes at a village near Lavaridge Mountain. Along the base of the mountain, dragons wander peacefully. Among them was Ember, the Dragon leader. Hearing that the rebel dragons might show up to blend in, she decided to wait for them to come out. This way, the other dragons can help her subdue the rebels. Meanwhile, Sonata rushed into a bar at the village. She heads over to speak to Scorpan, a vicious creature who works as a barkeep. "Where's the big boss?" Sonata asked nervously. "In the back room." Scorpan replied with a low growling voice. In a room at the back of the bar, sits a red dragon warrior, looking at piles of treasure he stole from other villages. Sonata rushes in with a nervous report. "Boss, the Gauntlet Warriors were spying on the dragons you influenced at Dream Valley. Those girls chased them off, and they retreated to the mountain." The red dragon got mad. "You dimwitted siren, you should've helped them. Now, we got to be ready for anything from those ladies." Minutes later, the warriors arrived, dressed in different outfits. Applejack's outfit consists of a long sleved red ballroom type gown with yellow shoes. She also carried a fan to complete her look. Sunset has on a blue jacket over a white ruffled shirt. She also has black capri style pants and red shoes. Trixie is wearing an outfit similar to Applejack. Except it's short sleeved, it's yellow, and her shoes are dark blue. Pinkie wore a lime green ruffled long sleeve shirt with a brown vest, dark green skirt, and teal shoes. "I think these outfits are adorable." Pinkie chirped. "She's right." Sunset added as she turned to Applejack. "your friend, Rarity, did a good job with these outfits." Applejack blushed as she gets the girls' attention. "Remember, we're are wealthy visitors from a village across the sea." Soon, the red dragon warrior came from the back room. Everybody got a little nervous. Trixie soon knows about that dragon. "That's Garble." Trixie whispered. "The leader of those rebel dragons." Garble walks through the bar. He soon spotted the ladies. "Seems we have some lovely visitors coming to the bar." He turns to the barkeep. "Scorpan!" "Yes, Garble." Scorpan replied nervously. "Four cups of apple cider for our guests." Scorpan soon poured cider into four cups, and placed them on a tray. One of the bar workers placed the tray on a table where the disguised ladies are sitting. “Complements of the House, my dears.” Garble said elegantly. “Thank you, sir.” Trixie replied. As the girls enjoy their cider, they decided to talk to Garble. “Sir,” Sunset said, “we heard talk that some warriors from the Dragon colony are rebelling against the honor of that tribe. You wouldn’t know about that would you?” “That does sound strange.” Garble replied, hiding his true intentions. “If the Dragon tribe rebelled, it could mean disaster for any kingdom.” “That sound sad.” Pinkie added, trying not to get upset. “This could start a war between many tribes.” Just then, Sonata’s Siren sisters, Adagio Dazzle and Aria Blaze came into the bar and came up to Garble. Adagio whispers something in his ear. “Excuse me, ladies.” Garble said as he left. “Something must be up.” Applejack whispered. “Good thing we finished our cider.” Trixie replied quietly. “Let’s see what’s going on.” As the girls leave, Sunset pulled out some gold coins, and placed it on the bar. “For a job well done.” Sunset leaves as Scorpan picks up the coins happily. Outside, Garble argues with the sirens. “Are you sure about that?” Garble demanded. “We’re sure.” Aria answered. “Dragon lord Ember and her comrades rounded up those you influenced.” “And, are taking them to their village for rehabilitation.” Adagio finished. Garble got very mad. He blew fire into the air, scaring the people who live in the village. “Blast that Ember! What else can go wrong?” Just then, the four ladies Garble talked to came out. They soon revealed their true outfits. “Does this answer your question?” Sunset retorted. “The Gauntlet Warriors!” Garble snarled. “That’s right.” Pinkie answered as she readied her bow. “Your little knack for influencing others is over!” Applejack rose her ax, Sunset held her sword high, and Trixie rose her hands, sparking with magical energy. “Give it up, Garble.” Applejack announced. “You’re finished!” “Never!” Garble yelled as he blew out a fireball. Trixie fires a blast of ice magic to nullify the fire. “That’ll cool you off.” Sunset said. “En garde!” “My claws are as steady as any sword.” Garble announced. “En garde, yourself!” Garble and Sunset battled each other. Claws clash with the blade of a sword. The villagers watch with interest. “Do you think these warriors can fight back against Garble?” One young villager named Fluttershy wondered. “I heard of these four warriors.” Her roommate, Rainbow Dash answered. “It’s about time someone stood up to that bully!” As the battle continued, Applejack sneaked past the fight, and headed for a barrel full of oil. One swipe of her ax and the barrel shattered, spilling the oil. “Out of the way, Sunset!” Sunset ran off as the oil spilled under Garble. As he starts to chase Sunset, he slips on the oil and falls down. “The boss fell!” Aria yelled. Just as Adagio and Aria ran to help Garble, Pinkie shot an arrow at a welcome banner. It draped over the sisters as Trixie took some rope to secure the banner. “Good work, Pinkie.” Trixie praised. “Thanks.” Pinkie replied happily. Later, Dragon Lord Ember arrived with two other dragons, one orange and one light purple, arrived to take Garble away. Celestia and Luna came along to watch the action. “A visit to our village will help you respect our honor.” The blue leader of the dragons said. She then turns to her followers. “Smolder, Spike, take him away.” “Yes, Lord Ember.” The orange dragon, Smolder, replied. “Let’s go, you.” The purple dragon, Spike, added. The warriors watch proudly as Ember and company take Garble to the dragon village as the Sirens are escorted by royal guards to jail. The princesses approached the fearless foursome. “Excellent, Gauntlet Warriors!” Luna announced. “You have done real good.” “Yes.” The Warriors said. “Her highness, Queen Megan, Shall hear of this.” Celestia said. The four warriors are shocked to hear that. “No.” “Yes!” Happy with the results, the Gauntlet Warriors follow the princesses back to the castle. > Game Over > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wearing a long sleeve red shirt and blue jeans with the cuffs rolled up, Megan lays on the bed, looking at a pile of paper on her desk. “This was exciting.” Megan said to herself. “Thirteen stories, thirteen great video game tributes. I even rewrote my Donkey Kong story and sent it online to a tribute contest.” Megan E-mailed her Donkey Kong story to a publisher for a contest, tributing any form of media, even video games. Danny comes into Megan’s room, followed by another little boy wearing a white T shirt, blue jeans and sneakers. Danny has an envelope in his hand. “Letter for you, Megan.” Danny said. Megan takes the letter, and heads for her desk. She frantically opens the letter. “Oh boy! My entry for the contest is received.” Megan reads the letter. “Dear Megan Williams, We received your tribute to the video game, Donkey Kong. And, we want to say” Then, a message is written in crayon. “ARE YOU KIDDING?! Nobody wants a tribute to an old video game. They want something cute and cuddly, like me. Tommy.” Megan’s eyes widened when she saw that little boy, who is Tommy. He lives in Megan’s neighborhood. “I went to that book place, tore up your story, and presented a story about me and a cute little puppy.” Tommy said meanly. “I’m going to win.” Tommy then crossed his eyes and stuck out his tongue, being extra naughty. Megan was so shocked, she flopped on the desk, sending papers flying. Tommy grabbed a paper with the message “THE END” written on it, and held it happily. Looks like Megan has some cleaning and sorting to do. THE END
