But then Snails and Snipes shows up knocking on the glass door much to Trixie’s annoyance. “What do you two want?” Trixie asked. “Are you open?” Snail asked. “Seriously, read the sign.” Trixie pointed at the close sign. “Hmm, we’ll have the Loaded Fries, two Taco Supreme, and two large drinks.” Snipes ordered completely ignoring the close sign even though its right in front of their faces. “No, you will get none of that. Trixie will not spend all night in this place, Trixie got a life.” Trixie stated. “Oh really?” Snipes glared. “Then I guess you don’t want our money.” Snails said. “MONEY!” A man shouted and jump right on top of Trixie. This man is Iron Will, the Manager of this Taco Bell branch in Canterlot City and boss of the two employees working here. “Are you saying that you’ll give us your money if we stay open later than usual?” Iron Will asked the two boys. “Sure.” They answered as a few other people came showing their money. “Miss Trixie, welcome to the Night Shift.” Iron Will ripped the close sign in half. “From now on, the Taco Bell shall be open 24 hours a day!” Iron Will declared. “WHAT?!” Trixie gasped getting back up, only to be put back down when the costumers ran in trampling over her body. “For realizy! Now we never have to stop working!” Sonata squealed in joy, the fateful and hard-working employee of Taco Bell. “Mister Iron Will, you can’t be serious!” Trixie said mad at her boss. “So long, girls, I can’t spend here all night, I got a life.” Iron Will said before leaving the restaurant. “But Mister Iron Will!” Trixie winced. “Isn’t this great, Trixie!” Sonata hugged the angry Trixie. “We get work here hours and hours and hourse, and then the sun will come up, and we’ll still be working! Oh my gosh, it’ll like a sleepover only we’ll be sweating and covered in meat sacue!” Sonata excited and jump onto the register. “Are you ready to rock this night, Trixie Lulamoon!” Sonata asked dramatically. “Only when it comes to my magic.” Trixie deadpanned. “Good, because we got costumers!” Sonata jumped right through the window into the kitchen. Trixie got into her position as a costumer walks up to her as she took out a bat. “Here, hit me as hard as you can.” Trixie said, wanting to be unconscious or dead at this point. “Hey Trixie, I’m working at the kitchen. At night.” Sonata giggled. “Don’t hold back.” Trixie took off her hat and bend her head to the counter, waiting for the costumer to hi8t her with the bat but he never did and just order his food. “Hey Trixie, I’m chopping lettuces. At night!” Sonata chopped two balls of lettuces with a big knife. “I’m calling my sisters. At night! Yeah, that’s right Adagio, I’m working here all night long.” Sonata said in her cellphone talking to one of her sisters. “Look at me, I’m cleaning the bathroom. At night!” Sonata slide through the floor of the bathroom with a sponge mop making it shiny. “AAAHH! I BURN MY HAND! At night.” Sonata screamed when she tries get her meat pounder hammer from the stove, got burn, and try to act cool despite the pain. “Night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, night, N-N-N-N-N-NIGHT!” Sonata shouted annoying Trixie to her limit. “Will you please shut up!” Trixie begged. “Here, do Trixie as favor and take out the trash.” Trixie handed Sonata a trash bag. “Okie-dokie, taking out the trash is what I’ll do!” Sonata excited as she walks to the door but stop. She sees the dumpster is about 20 feet away from the restaurant and the outside is very dark that she is actually feeling a little scared of it. “You… you mean out there?” Sonata asked. “That’s where the dumpster is, yes.” Trixie answered. “I don’t know, Trixie. It’s kinda dark out there.” Sonata worried pressing her face on the glass door. “What’s this? Trixie thought you LOVE the night shift.” Trixie taunted. Sonata gather every courage in her being to go through this. “You’re right. For the Taco Bell!” Sonata held the trash bag over her head. Then Sonata starts running for her life toward the dumpster while screaming, she quickly threw the trash bag into the dumpster once she got close enough and headed back to Taco Bell. She breaths in and out deeply after coming back in then went completely calm. “Piece of cake.” Sonata smirked. “So, you’re not afraid?” Trixie asked with a smug on her face. “Nope.” Sonata said. “Well, Trixie is, especially after… you know.” Trixie said fear making Sonata stop and turn around. “What, what do I know?” Sonata asked. “You don’t remember, she was all over the news.” Trixie mentioned. “Tell me, tell me!” Sonata wanted to know. “No, no, Trixie should probably her mouth shut. It would ruin the night shift for you.” Trixie pretended as she wants to scare Sonata. “What happened? What happened?” Sonata begged. “You mean you heard the story of the… Lady Slinging Slasher.” Trixie revealed the name. “The lady bringing smasher?” Sonata confused of the name. “The Lady Slinging Slasher.” Trixie repeated. “The pretty tinker? The lady singing stepper? The crashing hatchling?” Sonata tried to get the name right but mess up. “Yes, the Lady Slinging Slasher.” Trixie deadpanned. “But most people call her the Lady-AAH! Because that’s all they have time to say before she gets them!” Trixie said spooking Sonata. “Tell me the story!” Sonata scared. “Years ago, at this very restaurant. The Lady Slinging Slash used to be the cook, just like you.” Sonata’s eyes widen. “Only more stupid.” Her pupils shrink a little. “One night, when she was cutting the tomatoes. It happened.” Trixie said. “She… forgot to refill the saltshaker?” Sonata guessed. “No.” Trixie shook her head. “Didn’t wash her hands after using the bathroom?” “No.” “Didn’t check the temperature of the shove?” “NO!” Trixie finally had enough of Sonata’s stupid guesses. “She cut off her own hand by mistake!” Trixie revealed. “…All the way through?” Sonata asked gulping. “Flesh, bone, and all!” Trixie answered spooky. “OH NO!” Sonata screamed. “She replaced her hand with a rusty yet sharp knife.” Trixie holds up a kitchen knife. “Then she got hit by a bus on her way to work, then she got fired on her funeral!” Making Sonata jump. “And now, every… what day is today?” Trixie asked. “Thursday.” Sonata answered. “Thursday night, her ghost returns to the Taco Bell to seek her revenge!” Trixie mentioned. “But tonight is Thursday night!” Sonata gasped. “Then she’ll be coming.” Trixie said. “How will we know?” Sonata asked. “There are three signs that signal the approach of the Lady Slinging Slasher. First the lights will flicker on and off. Next” “Dude, can I have some salad ranch?” A guy asked. “Oh, here you go.” Trixie gave him the ranch sauce and turns back to Sonata. “Next, the phone will ring and there will be nobody there.” Trixie pointed at the restaurant phone. “And finally, she will arrive in the ghost of the bus that ran her over then she exits the bus and crossing the street without looking both ways… because she was already dead!” Trixie explained the signal as Sonata eat some potato chips in fear and soon ran out. “She opens the door.” Trixie said an eeri rusty noise as Sonata’s legs start trembling. “She slowly makes her way to the counter.” Trixie shouted the last part a little. “And you know what she does next?” Trixie asked with a smirk. “What” Sonata asked scared. “Are you sure you what to know?” Trixie asked back. “I don’t know! Just tell me!” Sonata begged. “She gets ya!” Trixie poked Sonata causing her to scream loudly. Trixie laughs that she got the taco loving girl good, but now it was becoming annoying that Sonata keeps screaming like that. “Sonata, shut up! Trixie was joking!” Trixie slapped her hand on Sonata’s mouth to stop the screaming. “Really?” “Yes, it was all made up. No one has a knife for a hand, it was all a joke.” Trixie confessed. “Oh.” Sonata realized and starts laughing loudly which annoys Trixie. Later, Trixie is reading her favorite magician feature magazine and heard a strange noise getting a little scared. The noise turns out to be Sonata pulling the little water crater as the wheels are a little rusty and moping the ceiling. “Isn’t this great, Trixie?” Sonata asked, appearing behind and gave Trixie a spook. “There’s never a time to wash the ceiling during the day.” Sonata said before going back to cleaning. “Open 24 hours a day, what a stupid idea. Who wants a taco at 3 in the morning?” Trixie asked angry. (Flash’s Bedroom) The alarm clock next to Flash’s bed went off and he quickly turn it off. “Oh boy, 3am!” Flash excited, removing the bedsheet revealing a taco and start eating it. (Back at Taco Bell) “I mean, look at this place. It’s like a ghost town in here.” Trixie pointed out and notices the lights are flickering. “Very funny, Sonata.” Trixie exclaimed. “What?” Sonata asked. “Like in the story, the lights will flicker on and off.” Trixie mentioned and saw the light switch isn’t moving at all. “Wow, you have been practicing that trick?” Sonata impressed. “No, it’s probably electricity not working right. Figure this place wouldn’t run 24/7.” Trixie said and heard the phone ringing. But when she picks it up, there was no one there. “Hello?” Trixie confused. “Nice try, Trixie.” Sonata chuckled. “Nice try, what?” Trixie asked. “The phone will ring there will be nobody there.” Sonata repeated the words from the story. “Oh, you cracked me up.” “Sonata, Trixie isn’t doing this.” Trixie started to worry. “Okay, calm down Trixie. Let see, first there was the light.” The light flickers again. “Then the phone.” It rang again. “And the walls ooze greasy slime!” Trixie panicked, but then realize something. “Oh wait, that just happens every month, but what was that third thing?” Trixie asked herself, then she heard the bus stopping across the street. “Hey, I didn’t know the bus ran this late.” Sonata said. “They don’t…” Trixie feared. “Well, they’re dropping someone off.” Sonata said seeing a shadowy figure holding up a knife on the left arm where the hand should be. “AAAAAAAAHHHHH?!” Trixie screamed and panic so much that she keeps saying the name wrong. “The Lady Slinging Slash!” Sonata cried. “At last, you understand. We’re doom!” Trixie panicked. “No, that’s not it. I am just so touch that you would dress up as a ghost of a cook and stand on the other side of the street just to entertain me. You must really like me!” Sonata sobbed. “Sonata, there’s a problem with your theory.” Trixie said as the Lady Slinging Slasher walks up to the door. “While Trixie does like you as a friend, how exactly is Trixie over there when Trixie is standing right here!” Trixie pointed as the figure taps the glass door with her knife. “AAAAAAAHHHH?!” Sonata screamed realizing the truth. “The Lady Slinging Slasher!” Trixie and Sonata panicked as they hug together, fearing the end of their life is coming. “Sonata, just so you know Trixie will thought of you as a star!” Trixie said. “Trixie, I was who broke your wand last week in school because I was trying to smack a fly away.” Sonata confessed. “What?” Trixie angered. Then they got back to panicking at the Lady Slinging Slasher came closer until her true appearance reveal when she steps into the light making Sonata and Trixie stop looking at the girl to be Fleur de Lis from Crystal Prep Academy. “Hi, do you have a job opening. I brought my own knife.” Fleur showed her knife she’s holding as the sleeves goes down revealing her hand. “I actually called earlier about it, but I hung to talk to you in person.” Fleur explained. “Oh, that’s reasonable.” Sonata said. “Wait, wait, if that was you on the phone and you were on the bus. Then who was flickering the lights?” Trixie asked. The lights started flickering again, the three teenage girls turn to see it was a black and white man playing with the light switch. “Nosferatu.” They said un union. Nosferatu smiles and flip the switch to off one last time.
