A zombie story with the main characters being Soarin' ,Rainbow Dash, Spitfire, and Pinkie Pie.This story starts out a clopfic and all is normal in Equestria, but that will soon change.
"SHUT UP SOARIN!!!"Rainbow Dash yelled as she flew as fast as she could. "Then answer me!" Soarin shouted back to her. "NO!" Dash screamed. "What are you doing?!?!"Dash yelled as she came closer to him. He took a book out from under his wing and turned over to fly through the streets of Ponyville, which was still rapidly approaching. Dash caught a glimpse of the book and looked at her saddle bag, which was flapping in the wind, wide opened and empty. Soarin pulled up as he came to the ground and twisted into an alley. "SOARIN, GIVE ME BACK MY BOOK!!!!!"Dash screamed at him. He glanced back and flapping his wings a little faster. He landed in front of a building and turned to watch Dash streak toward him. He put the book in his mouth and waited, still grinning. Dash crashed into him, sending them both sprawling across the streets. When they finally came to a stop Dash was on top and pinning him to the ground. "I got my answer."Soarin grinned. Dash looked up and frowned, "I hate you so much.” she said flatly "I love you too Dashie. Now let's go in." Soarin replied playfully as he kissed her and pushed her off of him."Well you gotta go in with me now." Soarin said friskily. “I hate restaurants. “Dash whispered. "Well I would feel bad if we didn't go somewhere nice for our first date." Soarin said, trying to make the situation lighter. After that he tugged on her front hoof and they walked in together. Almost instantly, a waitress levitated a menu to them and walked them to their seats. She took their orders and brought them some fermented apple cider. "My friend Applejack makes this stuff. She says it will knock you on your ass in a glass or two." Dash grinned. "Why'd you order me one, then?" Soarin asked. "You'll be on your ass drunk before me." Dash laughed. Before Dash could say another thing, Soarin downed his mug of cider and shook his head. Dash did the same soon after and then called the waitress for another round. The waitress came with another round and asked, "Are you two really gonna get plastered before you even begin eating?" "She's gonna get drunk before me," Soarin stated in a challenging manner. The waitress laughed and went to get the couples' meals. "Bottoms up, Dashie." Soarin said smugly using the nickname which Rainbow hated oh so very much. Rainbow glared lightheartedly at him before taking a giant swig from her cider.
"That's it,I'm wasted."Soarin mumbled dizzily. He looked at Rainbow Dash and burst out laughing. "You look like that mail mare we saw earlier! What was her name? Oh yeah, Derpy!" Soarin laughed. Rainbow Dash just looked around, pointed at herself then mouthed the words "Me?" Soarin nodded and chortled even harder. Rainbow Dash kicked his shin under the table and watched him grab his leg and frown. "Hahaha! Now who's laughing?" Dash snickered. "I think we should leave before they kick us out." Dash suggested after getting enough of watching Soarin mumble from his now sore leg. Soarin nodded and they both stumbled out after he left a bag of bits for the drinks and uneaten meal. “So...so now where?" Soarin stuttered. The alcohol had already begun to impede upon his speech. "Follow me." Dash smiled as she lifted off and flew into the sky. Soarin followed as he was told.
After a few minutes Rainbow Dash's house came into view. Dash landed on the balcony, "Well you coming in or not Soarin?"Soarin landed next to her in response. "Nice house RD, nice bed too." Soarin smiled enticingly. "Is that a hint or something?" Dash asked cautiously. "What....NO.Just saying."He said timidly. "Well I better start heading back to the Wonderbo..." Soarin was cut off by Rainbow Dash lunging forward and kissing him. "Still going somewhere?" She smiled. Soarin didn't move a muscle, so Rainbow grabbed his hoof, and walked him over to the bed. "Well let's get going mabey we'll find out what's going on."With that Rainbow and Soar'in ran to the balcony and took off towards Canterlot.As the two flew over Ponyville,they saw ponies franticly running around with their belongings and families.Soar'in caught a glimps of a unicorn limping down the street,he pointed at her so Rainbow would see and he went down to her.When he landed near her he asked if she was okay,but got no response.He walked closer to her and touched her shoulder and she spun around and jumped towards him,her left eye was missing.Soar'in smashed his hoove into the side of her head and then kicked her over and lefted off and made sure Dash was with him."What the hell is she?!?!"Soar'in asked Dash,while they both stayed out of reach of the unicorn who was jumping at them and trying to bight them.Dash just stared at her and shook her head.Soar'in came closer to Dash and touched her shoulder."We should go now."he said.She nodded and followed him as they returned to their course.
Every town they flew over,they saw ponies who were missing limbs and on four different occasions,they saw the deformed ponies eating ones who were trying to escape.Every time Dash saw one of the "deformed" her expression became a little more uneased and Soar'in was begining to notice."Are you okay Dashie."He gave a weak smile with the question."Well do you think I'm okay,we've seen ponies eating each other!"She yelled at him.She could tell she hurt his feeling when she yelled at him and apologized for yelling.
After five or six hours of flying they reached the outter parts of Canterlot.When they came a little closer five gaurds flew to them and made sure they weren't,as the gaurds said,"infected".When they were cleared to enter one of the gaurds said to go to the barracks for gear if you are willing to defend the castle.Of course both Soar'in and Rainbow Dash agreed to enlist.They flew to the barracks and were given armor that royal gaurds wear and the Quater Master gave them both hoof daggers.They went on just like horse shoes,but they had small blades on the back for if you were confronted by infected.After they were geared and instructed on what to do and how to fight,they were sent to the castle it's self.As they approched a unicorn soilder stopped them and asked for their names and after he checked their names and positions,he told them to go to the Main Hall and stay on watch.As they came in,a familiar face walked up to Soar'in and gave him a hug."Spitfire?What are you doing here?"Soar'in asked."Probaly the same reason you're here,all pegasi were to report,so I did and we are Wonderbolts so that's probaly why we got put so close to Celestia."Spitfire explained."And you must be Rainbow Dash,the savior of Soar'in's mystical pie.Nice to meet you."Spitfire joked around."Um,actually I'm his marefriend now too."Rainbow smiled.Spitfire suddenly grew a wide grin and looked at Soar'in who began to turn red."So you did take my advice?"Soar'in nodded and looked at Dash who was obviously confused now."Spitfire said I should ask you on a date and well you know it from there."Soar'in explained.Suddenly there was a smash at the main door to the hall they were in.They all jumped toward the door and waited for what ever they could possibly wait for.The door smashed again and a gaurd yelled down from the tower"Infected at the door.Firing!"another gaurd yelled back "Confirmed,take the shot."Almost instantly after that an explosion rocked the front door and the three pegasi stood still watching and listening.A gaurd walked down through the stair well brhind the three and asked"Every pony okay?"They nodded and Spitfire let out a breath."This is gonna be fun....."she said.
After about five hours of watch,three new ponies came to relive the group.Instead of only pegasi though,it was two unicorns and an earth pony.They didn't pay much attention to it though and they gladly went to the the castle barracks for some sleep.They walked into the bunk room and it was empty except for two gaurds who were play a card game.The bunks were huge compared to the ones in the first barracks where they got they equiptment."One of the gaurds playing cards got up and said"You want your daggers off?"All of them nodded and he walked to Soar'in and motioned for him to put his front hoof up.He lefted his hoof and the gaurd tap the blade in a weird way and it fell off,but left the shoe on.The gaurd repeated this move on all of them and put there blades on a table and showed them how to put them back on in case of emergency or just back to duty.There was a different way to put them on for the two different circumstances.After all was said and done they all picked a bunk and plopped down in one.Spitfire stretched out and said"Damn,this bed could fit two ponies."One of the gaurds at the back heard and explained that most the gaurds that sleep in here are twice the size of the three pegasi.After a few minutes all of the ponies fell asleep including the two playing cards,but Rainbow Dash wasn't sleeping well as a dark nightmare haunted her dreams.
"Soar'in,what's wrong?"Rainbow Dash asked. "I don't know,my head hurts so much.......oh Celestia it hurts." "Can I help in any way?" "I don't think you ca......................"Soar'in fell over,pasted out.Dash ran over to him and screamed for a gaurd to help.The door opened and Luna walked in and put her hoof on Dash's shoulder,who now had tears streaming down her face."Can you help him?"she cried.Luna shook her head and pointed to a window.Dash refused to leave Soar'in's side and then looked back to where he was,but he was gone.Luna pointed to the window again.Dash stood and walked to the window and saw Ponyville in flames and many infected chasing after the living.She came closer to the window and one of the soilders who where fighting the infected saw her looking at him and began to walk to window.It was too dark for Dash to see him yet.He finally came close enough to the window for her to see him,it was Soar'in and he was covered in blood.He gave her a weak smile through the window and put his hoof to the window,Dash put her hoof to his on the window and the background behind Soar'in changed.There were hundreds of infected standing a few feet behind him and he knew it his smile became weaker and mouthed the words"I love you,now and forever."He gave one more smile and then turned to face the crowd of infected and charged into them knocking many over and then slashing with his daggers.The window started to fade and Luna appeared behind Dash."This is your one and only warning.Do not return to the town you have just seen or your fate will be the same."She warned and everything went black.
"Wake up you three."a guard shouted.Soar'in rolled from his top bunk and flapped his wings when he came to the ground to soften his landing.Spitfire stepped out of her lower bunk and stretched her legs and finally Rainbow Dash put her pillow over her head and tried to go back to sleep.Soar'in walked over to her and rocked her back and forth trying to get her to wake up.She ended up punching his stomach,forgetting she had a steel horse shoe on."Oh shit!Why the hell you do that for?"Soar'in howled out in pain.Dash's head instantly popped out from under the pillow at this. "Oh my gosh,I forgot I was wearing horse shoes,I didn't mean to!I'm sorry."Dash empathized. "It's okay,"Soar'in said as he examined the new hoof impression on his stomach."That's gonna leave a mark......"Dash got up and hugged him and then they grabbed their equipment and went to the main hall for their watch.
When the group came into the hall,it was empty and desolate."Something's wrong,where are the three that relived us yesterday?"Rainbow Dash questioned.A glass shattered in the room and the three looked around.Spitfire put a hoof to her mouth,symboling to stay quiet.They looked for anything that was in the room.Soar'in spotted the glass that had fallen over and a door was open near it.The room was dark,but there was something shiny moving around in there.Soar'in moved closer to the doorway and heard heavy breathing,he motioned for Dash and Spitfire to come to him.Dash grabbed a torch on her way and ran into the room right after Soar'in and she was followed by Spitfire.All of them went wide eyed when they came into the room.Two of the ponies from the other watch group,where rutting each others brains out while the other one slept."What the hell are you two doing?!?!"Spitfire yelled while Dash and Soar'in broke into laughter.The earth stallion quickly took his helmet off and covered himself while the unicorn turned to face them.All the commotion woke the sleeping unicorn up and she gasped when she saw the scene."We aren't doing anything!"the stallion squeaked,still covering his stallion hood. "Horse shit you two aren't doing anything,you were bucking her brains out!"Spitfire laughed and joined Soar'in and Dash.The mare ran out of the room and the stallion followed.The now wide awake unicorn just sat there."Did I really just see that?"she asked,followed by the three nodding,starting to stop laughing.Their laughter was instantly cut off when the stallion let out a blood curdling screach.The group ran into the main hall followed by the unicorn and saw the stallion gripping his throat which had been ripped out.The mare was on the ground with an infected on top of her and another tearing into her neck."Infected!"Soar'in alarmed and then they charged the two infected.Dash and Soar'in knocked one off of the unicorn and Spitfire and the other unicorn took the other.Soar'in smashed into the infected,knocking it over.Then Dash flew up and smashed onto it's head,completely obliterating it.Spitfire stabbed her dagger into the other's head and that killed it instantly."Infected have breached the gates!All guards take defensive positions!"a guard yelled through the city alarm.Suddenly,the main gate to the hall was being smashed against.The three flipped a table over and pushed it against the door,but the unicorn watched the door."What are you doing?Get over here!"Soar'in yelled and waved at her,but she stood still.Finally,the door bust open and a group of infected charged in.The unicorn's horn began to glow and a huge purple blast covered the charging crowd and they almost evaporated into the air it seemed.The three pegasi just watched in amazement."Who are you?"Soar'in asked. "Ask Rainbow Dash,she should know me." "Twilight?"Dash asked and then the purple unicorn took her helmet off. "Correct."Twilight giggled. "Aren't you supposed to be with the princess?"Dash asked confused. "I'm supposed to be with her,but I volunteered to help instead."she explain.While the two mares talked,Soar'in went to see if the stallion was still alive.He wasn't,he had bleed to death and the mare was eaten alive.Soar'in shook his head in disgust and then he walked back to the group who was discussing how the infection spreads."So you're saying that it isn't like a zombie movie and you don't turn because of getting bitten?"Spitfire asked. "No,it is airborn.Some ponies are immune to it,but even if you are immune,sexual interaction or fluid transactions can infect you if either party is a carrier of the disease."Twilight explained with every detail put in. "How do you know if you've been infected?"Soar'in asked,still aware of his surroundings. As they came to the tower,three huge guards stopped them.Twilight walked to them and they moved aside for all of them.They walked to the main room that the princesses used to raise and lower the sun and moon,but it was empty."Princess?"Twilight called,but received no answer.They walked to the balcony and were stunned to see the entire city of Canterlot in flames and overrun by infected.The living were running from the technically undead ponies.They're were groups of guards roaming the streets but they were out numbered by the contaminated and the pegasi that we flying around were confronted by infected pegasi.One unbelievable sight was there were infected unicorns actually firing magical blast at guards and citizens alike.The worst part was both princess Luna and Celestia were missing.Canterlot had been contaminated and lost to the infected.
