> Look what you just made me do. > by saum22 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Prolouge > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Discord had been checking on the seeds he had planted last Wednesday, deep within the Everfree, the forest of disharmony. Of course Fluttershy knew that, but she had permitted him to go there anyway. As she thought it would let him go loose within a controlled region, she reasoned. He wouldn't feel as withdrawn from his chaotic nature as he mostly was in day to day life, she reasoned. She reasoned well, but chaos is never controllable. "I agree." Discord responded. I shall ignore that, "No." "Tell me, if I do this, will I succeed?" Discord, yet again broke the fourth wall with that remark. He continued to plant the seeds, annoyed at my lack of a response. "I know you know." "I'm going through with it anyway, but I wonder what'll happen." "Maybe those ponies will turn into oranges from this." "Maybe, I'll make it happen." Discord watered the seeds with a vat of distinctly cold lava, and the seeds responded well. They shifted and squirmed, waiting to release themselves into the world. Discord turned his attention to the seeds, giving up on getting information from me since he has no way of coercing me. "Not yet, my pretties, we have to wait until having you grown will draw away enough resources from the mane" He promptly grew blonde hair that had pins of every element of harmony's spirit within them. "six's efforts against my discomfortable allies to allow them a... small victory against them." The pins flew off, and the hair retreated from whence it came. There wasn't much of a chance for Discord to get a scenario where the elements of disorder to win properly without their internal unity being shattered. Yet, Discord had something exactly for this. He could break Fluttershy again. Not like the last time he broke her, not at all. For, if Fluttershy became cruel, that cruelty would be used against him, and him alone. He knew that, so he gained her trust, and will betray her at her time of need. Resulting in her losing every ounce of confidence she had built up in one fell swoop. "Good plan." Discord mused, I hope, as he walked to where he normally went when Fluttershy was away. She expected him to be here when she got back. And, just as expected, she was. "Hi Discord." The guest of honor begun, "how's your day been?" "Good." Discord answered. "What have you been doing?" Fluttershy asked. "Mostly just being chaotic, the usual." He lied. A soft chuckle came from him, prehaps Rarity would have caught on to the fact that this was Discord's tell for lying to someone's face, but Fluttershy was none the wiser. "Want to come over for tea?" Her question was almost a formality, as it was nearing noon. "Of course, Fluttershy." Discord responded. Fluttershy smiled her awfully cute smile and guided the god through the dark forest that bares no fruit. The overhang, along with the river compelled Discord to teleport him and Fluttershy to her home, even if he thought it would be more polite for him to let Fluttershy guide the way. Her wares, mostly fine china, and a few couches within her wooded home. Although Discord always found it quite odd that Fluttershy had a chair that would very easily allow her to go into a compromising position, being the perfect length for that. Fluttershy sat on her beige single cushion, and Discord plopped and then floated on the pale green double cushion. "Could I have some singing tea?" Discord joked. "Of course" Fluttershy played, laughing while saying it, passing him some singing tea that discord promptly ordered to sing an opera. The opera was in olde ponish, a story about a husband murdering his wife with the word goodbye. Fortunately for Discord, he knew Fluttershy did not understand olde ponish and had never expressed an intention to do so. "Could I have some green tea?" Fluttershy joked back. "Sure" Discord snapped his fingers and a green colored tea came forth. Fluttershy drank it, with the full trust of Discord. Of course he could have poisoned her right then and there, but he thought it impractical, as the rest of her friends would mobilize against him. He could take them on once one or more element and Celestia were out of the picture. For now, he had to keep on playing with his toy. Discord had finished his tea in a matter of moments, and Fluttershy took a few minutes to drink her tea. When Fluttershy had stopped drinking, she asked quite the innocuous question. "Do you ever wonder where you would be if you were never reformed?" Discord felt slightly worried, not worried enough to garner him sweating nervously, but worried enough to think about this for some time. The deflated arm of the clock moved one step before Discord had created the most convenient answer for his situation. "In stone, of course!" He joked. His plan of deflecting the conversation into a joke to avoid her finding out too early was quite effective, as Fluttershy was laughing her sweet laugh. Discord had real feelings for her, but his natural state superseded Fluttershy, as awful as that was to anyone like you to think about. Even if Discord truly wanted harmony, his very essence requires disharmony, which Celestia was quite close to destroying in Equestria, which would harm his essence drastically. To put it simply, Discord requires discord to survive. And, that is exactly why he need to play this game of chess. "Discord, did you forget the cucumber sandwiches again?" his girlfriend sassed. "Yes, Yes I did." He admitted. He promptly teleported a platter while questioning what he just heard. He just heard Fluttershy sass him. Fluttershy! Of all people, sassy would be the worst way to describe her. But, here he was, hearing that out of her. Fluttershy nibbled on the bread, to see if it wasn't as hard as steel, like the last time Discord had teleported bread far too late. It was not as hard as steel, luckily for her. Discord was practically obliged to eat the sandwiches, even if he wanted the host to have them all, because he has never enjoyed the sandwiches himself. > You said > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A few weeks later, "Gotcha! maybe I'm not such a bad actress after all" Celestia sassed Twilight. Fluttershy laughed along with her closet friends, feeling the warmth of their closeness right by her side, the curtain behind her, the glow as bright as Celestia's sun. Yet, She was feeling quite tired. Luna's moon was perching proudly above the playwrights, the backdrop of the normally shyest mare of the group moving with surprising haste. "Are you going so soon?" Celestia asked. Fluttershy simply nodded, and showed her somewhat sunken face as proof she needed sleep. "Could I help you?" Celestia offered. "If you want to." Fluttershy accepted. Celestia brought Flutters into the chariot, and begun their ascent. "Before we get back to Canterlot, could we stop by Fluttershy's cottage?" "Yes, princess." The left pegasus answered. The chariot moved with him, which was toward the Everfree's outskirts. "So, how's it going with Discord?" Celestia asked. "Good." Fluttershy somewhat sheepishly responded. Fluttershy looked to the sky for a moment. The brilliant stars were quite a sight, tiny little patterns plotting the sky like a planned paper of unquestionable scale. The blues of the night not ever matching with one another, even if only slightly. Luna seemed more and more well reasoned to think that ponies not looking at her crafted sky was a sign of disrespect toward the princess every second the smaller mare looked toward the sky. "Anything unusual happen?" Celestia questioned. "Well, I didn't mention it to him, but he's started to laugh at strange moments." Fluttershy confessed. "I think he's nervous about something, but I don't want to talk about it until I can confirm this." she continued. Celestia didn't know exactly what to think of that, since Fluttershy and Discord were already together, yet she had a few ideas, namely either that Discord was planning something against Fluttershy, or wanted to have children with her. "Is that all you wanted to know?" Fluttershy mused. "No, Fluttershy." "Have you seen any sign of him acting disharmonious to an extent that you would deem... unacceptable?" "Dangerous, has he been acting dangerously around you?" Celestia told. "No, but what would make you worry about that?" Fluttershy wondered. "When you said he's been laughing nervously, did you ever consider that he may be lying to you?" The question was like a bomb for Fluttershy. That Celestia would accuse him of that. She knew him... Did she? "n...no." her confident streak ended as she begun to think about that. Why? Why would he? if not... to remove her from her friends and disunite the elements. But, he was over that, right? Thankfully, her cottage was in sight, and she could knock on discord's door to find the answer for herself. The night, brilliant before, seemed bare as she begun her investigation. She summoned all the courage she required after opening her wooded door and feeding bunny. "Discord," Fluttershy begun "What is it, dear?" Discord begun planning for the worst as she read Fluttershy's face. The stare was coming if he didn't play it exactly right. "Have you been lying to me?" Fluttershy asked with a hint of aggression. "What would ever make you think that, Fluttershy?" He knew what was coming. The tidal wave, the storm, whatever you called it, it was coming. "Celestia and I talked about you" Fluttershy begun "Why?" Discord interjected. "Could you please stop interrupting me?" Flutters asked. "Yes." Discord answered. "Celestia and I were talking about you because she wanted to know if you were doing anything dangerous, in her own words." Fluttershy begun "Why would she think that?" Discord asked "I said not to interrupt me, Discord." Fluttershy enforced. "Okay." He gave a nervous chuckle. "Celestia thought that because of that chuckle." "I wasn't going to talk about it since I thought it would be a good idea not to say anything about it unless you approached me." Fluttershy finished for the moment. "And, Celestia suggested something about that behavior, like me planning to do something dangerous?" Discord mused. Fluttershy shook her head in disagreement. "No, she suggested to me that you might be lying to me." "What?" "I'd never do such a thing!" Discord promised. He chuckled. "I would believe you, but I need more proof." Discord snapped his hands and formed a shotgun that shot magical bullets that could kill him. "This is your gun now" Discord told. "Why the hell do you think I want this?" Fluttershy asked. "This gun shoots bullets that can kill me, so if I truly did not trust you enough to lie to you, would I give you this gun?" Discord metaphorically shot himself in the foot if this went wrong. Discord stopped time for a moment to tell me, "I heard that." "Now I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place." He then unpaused time. "...no." Fluttershy agreed as she looked down upon to herself, and then the gun. Fluttershy grabbed the shotgun at first with confusion, and then a comfort that Discord felt a little frightened by as she went outside to aim at a tree. She stood there for a moment, lining up everything, hoping not to harm anything, the gun slipped a little as her hoof moved to the trigger. By mere coincidence, her shot was perfect, and vaporized the tree. "W-woah" She stammered as she finally lost her grip on the gun. "I've never shot a gun before." She recovered the gun and kept it to her side. Discord looked at the perfect hole in the tree Flutters had made. It was not an inch off, and almost had the look of a drawing. He promptly fixed the tree was a snap. > The old Flutters > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- One more day, Discord thought as he begun to sleep, a short sleep indeed, Fluttershy was pacified, and no one was the wiser of any of his doings. Cozy glow, was all he needed for this to work. Cozy glow was doing quite the same charade as he, manipulating people to avoid attention to her planning. She, was much better at this, and hasn't risked their life for it. Hopefully. Discord knew he could never be accepted for long, as he physically required chaos to survive in an orderly world. Even if he wanted to, he could not escape what he had to do, unless he allowed the unthinkable to happen. The next morning, all bets were off. He opened his eyes, and surely enough, the seeds were in bloom, and Cozy glow's plan... which he did not know what it was, was in effect. He, may have been the distraction in this, but he sprung up, Fluttershy out there, here gun with her. Maybe she wouldn't use it, he thought. Fluttershy shot another of the branches with this intense magic. It was destroyed, but two more came around it, like the hydra. "Even with this, I can't fight it off!" Fluttershy panted as she fired another bullet. Celestia and Luna came in two grand chariots, one emblematic of the day, and the other of the night. Celestia came out of the one in the moon, and Luna out of the fires of the sun. Luna had a giddy expression, while Celestia had a sobering look. "Fluttershy, I think this might be Discord's work, and I've heard news that Cozy Glow is creating a ritual to suck the magic from Equestira." That explained why she was without flight. "Oh. Oh no" Fluttershy said. Fluttershy sat down for a moment. She knew where discord was, and if it was his magic, no. No. She couldn't do that until it was explained. "She's right." "I did this, I can't live in harmony forever." he confessed, "I am the god chaos, and to live a lifestyle of order, is to betray myself." Discord confessed. Perhaps he could repent for his sins, as he knew every Equestrian would know of his crimes. Maybe he could go into a mental institution, or something like that. Maybe he could prevent Fluttershy from being hurt by him. Discord hung his head low as he waited for his return to stone. Celestia knew that the gun Fluttershy had was powerful, but not that powerful. The shot boomed as loudly as her sister's voice, barely giving enough time to see Fluttershy smile. Her grin was sharp, and Celestia could see a fang or two. Had Discord not undone Fluttershy's cruelty like the princesses believed? Was that a hallucination? Good God Celestia doesn't know. The moment when they locked eyes, was just a moment, but Celestia could see her soul being examined and every fiber of her being fiddled with. Every portion of her will, was tested, to not blurt 'Don't hurt me!' as she looked into her eyes. This... was the stare. Discord fell to the ground, prehaps seeing the exchange between her and Fluttershy as the last thing he saw, prehaps he would come back after awhile. Whatever the case, she knew that the element of kindness wasn't as kind as she said she was. The vines died with Discord, sinking to the floor of the plains of Ponyville. "I guess we're the clean-up crew, dear sister." Luna proclaimed. "...I suppose so." Celestia agreed. The elements went to confront Cozy Glow, who was at the school, somewhere. "How the HELL did you kill Discord?" Rainbow asked. "h-he gave me a gun with magic that could kill him." Fluttershy responded. "We're not using that against Cozy Glow." "That would be... quite cruel for any one of us." Twilight noted. "Yes, she is only a child. Perhaps there's still good in her." Rarity mused. "Maybe." Fluttershy told herself. The sextuplet walked, mainly because Fluttershy was walking slowly, to the school. "T-twilight!" She ran towards the purple pony, "Thank Celestia almighty you're here!" Starlight proclaimed. "Thank you for the warm entrance." Twilight said. Starlight was hugging the mare. "...Could" She was not breathing properly, "we" another pause, "go" 1...2...3. "now?" Starlight stopped hugging Twilight. "Of course" she sheepishly responded. After blazing by most of the students, the sextuplet found an entrance to a previously unknown basement. "Since when has this been here?" Rainbow asked nopony in particular. "Probl'y since the school opened." Applejack responded. "That was rhetorical, Applejack." Rainbow explained. "I.. sorta knew." Apple admitted. "Let's get back to the task at hand, please." Rarity asked of the two. "Fine." Rainbow grunted. Twilight used her magic to pry open the trapdoor, seeing Cozy around what seemed to be a black hole, but blue. Twilight saw Fluttershy's smile, that cruel smile that she had only seen when her element had been drained of her. This isn't going to end well, Twilight thought. Fluttershy, had a gun. She bolted toward Cozy, and put the gun to her head, turning the tide of battle in her friends' favor. "Fluttershy..." "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!" Rainbow dash asked. "Making it easier to stop the collapse of Equestria" Fluttershy stated as she kept the gun near Cozy. "Stop this, or else you're dead." "I killed Discord with this." Fluttershy directed Cozy. There was a silence as Cozy complied, undoing the spell and returning all of the magic to Equestria. > Epilouge > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Celestia came forth, with a look of disdain toward Fluttershy. Of course, that look was returned by a glare of the "stare master", but this time, it didn't faze the sun god. The halls of the throne room, grand and polished with perfection in mind, were silent as Celestia confroted the newely cruel mare. "Fluttershy, you're going to a mental institution to resolve your tension that we all just saw spring." The god told the mortal. "Yes." The mortal agreed. "It is settled then." The god spoke.
