The day of Lyra and Bon Bon's wedding was the best day of their lives. It didn't take long for them to propose to each other. The day of Big Mac and Sugar Belle's wedding, they planned it to be three months after that. They also planned to go to the beach for their honeymoon.

Bon Bon sniffed the fresh air as she and Lyra walked across the sand. Lyra had their stuff in tow, enveloped in her magic. They stopped twenty-five feet away from the ocean.

The unicorn placed their stuff down, and draped herself on her back against the sand. Her forearms splayed out and her belly exposed to the hot sunlight. "Finally, we made it to our honeymoon at the beach.", she sighed as the soft and delicate material coaxed her back side.

Bon Bon chuckled as she looked down at her recently-married wife with a smile. "Alright, but, we should at least set our stuff up before you get too comfortable.", she said as she extended a hoof to her.

Lyra took hold of Bon Bon's hoof and stood back up. "Whatever you say, Darling.", she said. She worked her magic by levitating the objects and placing them where they need to be. She stuck the bottom end of the umbrella in the sand, she laid the picnic blanket flat, and placed the basket of food and saddle bag of beach accessories on the blanket. She opened the bag up to grab two pairs of sunglasses. Lyra's was just all in black and Bon Bon's was purple with pink flowers on the top side of the lenses. She placed her glasses over her eyes, then Bon Bon's over hers.

Bon Bon lowered hers to the edge of her nose to look over the flower part and kissed Lyra on the cheek, causing her to chuckle.

An idea came to the unicorn's mind. "Hey, I brought our beach ball.", she said, bringing the deflated ball out of the bag with her magic. She opened up the little hole to fill it with air. She inhaled and blew hard as she could, the erupting wind filling up the ball until it was round as it always been. "Want to play some catch?"

Bon Bon nodded in excitement, running a few feet away from Lyra. "Go ahead, throw it.", she called, holding her hooves out.

Lyra forcefully threw the ball to Bon Bon. The ball bopping Bon Bon square in the muzzle, causing her to yelp. She was able to catch the ball before it touched the ground. The unicorn guffawed. "Back.", she yelled.

Bon Bon grinned playfully. "Think fast.", she warned, lightly launching the ball in the air and hit it with a hoof and darting it to Lyra.

"Yowch.", Lyra laughed as the ball hit her on the side of the head. She was lucky her horn didn't pop it. She picked it up with her magic and decided: no more bopping each other on the head with a ball. She lightly threw the ball to Bon Bon.

Bon Bon's hooves touched the ball, but didn't catch it.

"You are terrible.", Lyra teased.

Bon Bon laughed and picked up the ball. She made a smug grin and forcefully threw the ball to Lyra.

The ball bounced off Lyra's chest before her hooves could catch it. "Hey.", she giggled.

"Who's terrible now?", Bon Bon teased back.

"Looks like it's me.", Lyra said with a roll of her eyes. Her tummy began growl. "Let's take a break. I'm hungry."

"Me too.", Bon Bon agreed, walking over to the blanket and planted her haunches on it.

Lyra joined her wife on the blanket and brought out two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with her magic. She gave the first one to Bon Bon and kept the other for herself.

"Peanut butter and jelly.", the earth pony mare inspected. "Sweet."

"I made them, because I know how much you like the sweet stuff.", Lyra said as she took a bite of her sandwich. It is true, Bon Bon always had a thing for sweet stuff, like candy, cake, and milkshakes. But, she always has to watch her carbs.

"Well, this will be enough to fill up my whole belly.", Bon Bon said, as she took a bite of her sandwich.

Lyra looked at Bon Bon's tummy as she took another chunk out of hers. "Hopefully, it'll enough to make your belly grow an inch bigger.", she chuckled. "It's cute, really."

Bon Bon gulped the chunk of sandwich before she glanced down at her belly, then back at Lyra. "Way too unhealthy.", she muttered with a roll of her eyes. She made a smug grin. "Don't get me wrong, but yours is cuter. Remember when the both of us were in bed, with your belly all big and round, and I gave it a few pats to make it jiggle."

"That was the night when we got back from Pinkie Pie's birthday party at Sugarcube Corner.", Lyra reminded, taking another bite of her sandwich. "That's why I want to take a shot of that belly jiggling."

"Sorry, Lyra.", Bon Bon said with a mock-apology, biting into her sandwich. "Not gonna happen. So, that means I get to stuff you up and do the belly jiggling. That's that."

Lyra put a hoof to her head. "Wow.", she scoffed. "So, you're saying I can't stuff you up, but you can? Hypocrite."

The two ponies stared at each other silently. Then, they shared a laugh before they continued to eat their sandwiches.

A few minutes passed and their sandwiches were all eaten up. Bon Bon used one foreleg to hold herself up while she used the other to rub her full belly. Lyra just stared at her wife's beautiful face. It wasn't long before she spotted a small dot of peanut butter on her right cheek. "Hey, you have peanut butter on your face.", she pointed out.

"I do?", Bon Bon asked, almost about to touch her face to find the peanut butter dot.

"Here, let me get it.", Lyra said, reaching for Bon Bon's face with a hoof. She brushed the peanut butter off with one soft scrape.

Bon Bon glanced down at her clean cheek with a smile. "Thank you.", she said.

The two looked at the ocean and the waves incoming towards shore. "Do you want to go in the water?", Lyra asked.

"Sure.", Bon Bon said, taking her glasses off and setting them on the blanket. "Just in case we lose them underwater."

"Good idea.", Lyra said, doing the same with her glasses. She stood up. "Ready to go?"

"Yep.", Bon Bon said, standing up next. They began to walk towards the water as the surface in the distance shined in their eyes. They stopped half way across the wet area of the sand to watch the incoming wave come over wash over their hooves before retreating back to the sea. They looked back up and continued on walking.

As they finally touched the water, they felt their hooves sink a little in the mushy sand. The water was pretty cold, but it's the best temperature for it on a hot day. It was cooler than pool water.

As the two mares went farther into the water, Bon Bon closed her eyes and lifted up her chin a little as it came up to her barrel. A wave came and splashed her in the chest.

Lyra chuckled at the display. "Doesn't the water feel good?", she asked.

But, Bon Bon wasn't listening, she was too busy feeling how wonderful the water felt. She let out a soft hum of relaxation.

Lyra raised an eyebrow and bopped her rear against hers to snap out of her trance. "So, what do you think of the water?", she asked as her wife gained focus.

"Oh, it feels good.", Bon Bon said flatly, looking down at the water that soaked her body. "How about you?"

"Oh, it's nice.", Lyra said with a shrug.

They lifted her chins up as the water went passed their shoulders. They finally came to a stop after so much walking through mushy sand and waves coming by. "Is this good?"

Bon Bon grinned evilly. "Oh, I don't mind this at all.", she declared, splashing water in Lyra's face.

Lyra yelped as she shielded water with her hooves. She splashed Bon Bon back. The two were laughing and giggling as they splashed water back and forth at each other. They were trying their hardest not to get water in their eyes and nose. Everypony knows that sea water is salty and it could hurt if it gets in somepony's eyes.

Lyra spotted something in sky, it was pack of seagulls flying twenty feet in the air. "Hey, look!", she yelled.

Bon Bon turned and saw the birds in the sky. "Wow.", she said. "That is awesome." She turned back around and saw that Lyra wasn't there anymore. She spun around, hoping to spot her. "Lyra? Where did you?" What she didn't notice was that something in the water grabbed her. She screamed before she got cut off by being pulled into the water. She wasn't sure if it was an octopus or a squid. She squirmed for life while keeping her eyes shut. She opened them a little to know what grabbed her. They popped open to see Lyra's face in front of hers.

The green mare smiled and booped Bon Bon on the nose.

Bon Bon couldn't believe it at all. She kept in the air from above the water too long. She wearily closed her eyes and puckered up to let a couple of small bubbles trinkle from her lips.

A hint of fear came over Lyra. Was she drowning? Did she pass out from her surprise? With her hooves tightly gripped around Bon Bon's waist as she swam to the surface. It didn't take her long enough to run back to shore before she laid her unconscious wife on the ground. "Bon Bon!", she cried. "Come on, wake up!" She put her ear against her chest to hear her heartbeat.

Before she knew it, Bon Bon abrubtly woke up with a heaving yell. She screamed and fell backwards on her rump.

Bon Bon burst out laughing. "That's what you get!", she guffawed.

"You scared me!", Lyra shouted.

"Well, you scared me first.", Bon Bon reminded. "You should never pretend to be a sea creature that can drag ponies to the bottom of the ocean."

"But, pretending to drown?!", Lyra snarled. "That was way too far."

"That was to teach you a lesson.", Bon Bon teased as she stood on her hooves.

Lyra calmed down and sighed. "Sorry, sweetheart.", she said apologetically. She scratched the back of her neck. "By the way, how can you hold breath like that?"

Bon Bon shrugged. "Hey, I have my spy skills.", she said. "Actually... To be honest, I have no idea." She walked off to their spot.

Lyra followed after her. "I don't get you, Bon Bon.", she said as the two finally reached their stuff. "You have a weird way of showing me that you can do all these crazy things." She grabbed a couple towels out of their bag, a red one and a white one. She gave the white to Bon Bon and kept the red one for herself.

"I guess you're right.", Bon Bon muttered as she and her wife dried off with their towels.

As soon as it was done, Lyra folded their wet towels and placed them back in the bag. She then grabbed her glasses and rested them on her horn. She heard Bon Bon yawn behind her. "Are you tired already?", she asked, picking up Bon Bon's glasses and levitating them over to her.

Bon Bon shook her head and took her glasses. "Oh, no.", she blurted out. Like earlier, she lowered the glasses until her eyes were left exposed. "It was just a yawn, I'm still up for some more fun."

"And, I do have something in mind.", she said slyly.

"And, what would that be?", Bon Bon asked as she lowered to her haunches. "Tell me. Tell me." She excitedly wagged her tail.

Lyra tapped her chin. "How about I wrap you up in a nice and tight sand blanket?", she asked with a broad smile.

Bon Bon blinked at the term 'sand blanket'. Some activity Lyra thought of. Her cheeks turned red. "You... you mean.. you want to... bury me... in the sand?", she asked between pauses.

Lyra nodded.

Bon Bon smiled and her eyes gleamed. "Sure.", she said cutely. "I'd like that." She lowered her back against the sand and rested her head on her forehooves.

Lyra giggled. Walking to the side of her wife, she used her magic to grab a toy shovel and sat down on her haunches. "Ready?", she asked.

"Ready.", Bon Bon responded.

She took a scoop of sand and poured it on Bon Bon's adorable belly. Bon Bon watched silently as Lyra packed more sand among her belly. The pony giggled watching some of the sand slid down her sides and covered them up. She relaxed and closed her eyes as Lyra scoops up sand and covers up her flanks. She honestly wished to fall asleep while the burying goes on. Lyra glanced at her relaxed wife with loving eyes before scooping more sand up and covered up Bon Bon's right hind hoof. Then, the left hoof after another scoop.

"My goodness.", Bon Bon moaned. "This feels really good." She snorted out a little giggle. "Kind of ticklish even."

"I'm nearly done.", Lyra said. "Do you want me to stop now?"

"No, no. Finish up, please.", Bon Bon pleaded.

All it took for Lyra was one final scoop of sand to cover up the end of Bon Bon's tail, then the pony was all covered up. She shook the sand off the shovel and placed it back in the bag. She turned to her buried wife and placed a hoof on her cheek. "How does it feel, Darling?", she asked lovingly.

Bon Bon sighed as the sand coaxed her body. "Feels nice.", she whispered.

"Bet it does.", Lyra predicted. "To be honest, it was kind of like revenge for scaring me."

Bon Bon raised an eyebrow. "What now?", she asked.

Lyra rested her head on her wife's buried belly. "I was hoping you'd get scared and tried to run away.", she explained. "Then, I would grab you by the hooves with my magic and pin you to the ground. But, I am grateful you agreed to the idea."

Bon Bon laughed. "Hey, this is just sand.", she deadpanned. "It's not like it'll hurt anypony." She let out a long yawn. "Aw darn it. This sand has gotten me even more sleepy." Her eyelids started to droop.

"It's ok, honey.", Lyra reassured. She was the next to yawn. "I'm sleepy too. I think it's time for a nap." She laid down next to Bon Bon and moved the glasses over her eyes. "Have a nice snooze." She then went to sleep.

"You too.", Bon Bon said in return. She did the same with her glasses and fell asleep.

They didn't realize that it had been a few hours since they've been asleep. Lyra was the first to wake up. She looked towards the ocean and saw that the sky was overcast. She poked Bon Bon on one of her forearms. "Bon Bon, wake up.", she said to her.

"Huh?", Bon Bon mumbled with half-open eyes. "What is it, Lyra?"

"It's getting late.", Lyra said, pointing to the sun, which was nearly setting.

Bon Bon's eyes went wide. "Oh my goodness, you're right.", she gasped. "We should get back- whoa!" She was enveloped in Lyra's aura and was now set down on all four hooves. "You know, I could've gotten up myself."

"Just thought I would help.", Lyra said, taking Bon Bon's sunglasses and hers and placing them in the bag. She folded the picnic blanket and placed it on the rim of the basket. "We should go somewhere for dinner before we find a hotel."

"Good idea.", Bon Bon agreed. "So, you wanted revenge on me for scaring you, huh? You couldn't at least show it?"

"I didn't think grinning evilly at you was necessary.", Lyra admitted. "But, you did look cute all buried in the sand. And, lesson learned, no more dragging anypony under water."

Bon Bon pulled Lyra's head to hers and the two kissed passionately. Their lips parted before they chuckled together. "Hey, maybe there's a hayburger shop somewhere at the deck.", she said.

"Sure.", Lyra said, licking her lips. "I'd go for a good burger."
