Goku Black was defeated, his soul traveled by the same portals that had given the power to defeat him, however he would find himself in one strange world, in this world, he is a god, even if in a new body, and he would stop nothing to achive his goal
Goku Black, was divided from his counterpart and his soul disintegrated, being taken to the stars. However, he in his defeat, was sucked into the portal.
The same portal that the mortals he so despised had sent energy to Trunks to defeat him. He would fall into a new dimension, in a new body, with a different race, and new gods. But it didn't matter, he was still a god, a Kaioshin, and even with his body modified to enter the rules of this new dimension, nothing would stop him from completing his final goal.
Cleaning the plague that mortals are.
But does this new world have mortals as bad as those of its own dimension? or they are worthy of a chance?
Darkness, it was the only thing Black could see, he hadn’t gone to hell, that was obvious, he just fell, and he fell even more into a hole of infinite darkness...
We won't be defeated by someone that believes in only himself!

That disgraceful mortal, he had ended all his hard work, all the sacrifice he had made to bring paradise to the cosmos.
yes, the scars of the battles were painful, they hurt his heart deep, seeing so much destruction.
But it was necessary.
A bright future would reign, and those worms had prevented it, there was very little left. After the gathering of the super dragon balls, swapping bodies with the goku, and getting that incredible power together with the sin of mortal kind. It was all for nothing.
He closed his eyes and tightened his grip with hate, tightening it so much that the inside of his fist started to bleed, he took a deep breath and exhaled, it was past now...
He had been defeated, and the only thing he could do now is to curse himself for being too confident, he shouldn't have played with those mortals so much, he should have destroyed them, quickly and easily..... The mortality had went on to his head and arrogance blinded him. And now here he was, falling into an infinite abyss, in the infinite barrier that divides the dimensions, and he was destined to continue to fall.
In the meantime, while he fell deeper and deeper, he could stop to reflect.
To question his own ideals, think about why humans were as they were. Time to meditate.
But he felt a Ki signature in the middle of his fall. Something in the unending abyss that threatened to overwhelm him.
A small white glowing source of light, it looked like a portal with how nothing seemed to be deflected by it. One of the most improbable things he had ever expected, an error in creation? Maybe a defect in space-time like the ones he could use with his former ring of time?
He would not have the answers if he stood doing nothing. He slowly floated in the direction of that light, reaching out to dazzle it.
The closer he got, the more it diminished, the more he looked like a tiny star, a star in the middle of empty space.
He then caught it.
He brought his fist close to his face and opened his hand, the light then shone, and she seemed to have an explosion of sudden brightness. Forcing Black to put his hand in front so as not to be blinded, she appeared to completely modify the environment, passing of total darkness, for total clarity.
The place where he felt the light, started to change it, it started to enter his hand, it started to spread through it, and his hand started to change color, not only that, started to grow...fur...?
It started spreading from hand to arms, from arms to shoulders and belly.
It hurt, it hurt a lot, he was screaming in pain.
It felt like his body was on fire, his eyes seemed to glow, his ears pricked, and he felt a gigantic pain in the back, in the forehead.
It seemed that the skin was stretched as if he were being molded.
He felt like a metal stake had grown inside of him and now it was coming out in force.
This endless pain lasted countless hours, but after a while, it stopped, he was panting, what the hell was that...?
Looking at his body, he realized that now his body was completely gray, he was running his hand over his body, he could feel a soft fur, and he now had a tail!
It had the same colors of his hair, he could see that it now shined, like the stars were in his own hair and moving on its own.
It was magnificent.
His head had stretched and he felt something strange behind him, he noticed two huge wings coming out of his back.
He was disbelieving in himself, he was a horse now...? He had a new body...?
No...
Crossing dimensions has never had the effects of changing bodies....
Was his body adapting to the new dimension...?
it was the most likely theory, so he went to put his hand on his head and sighed in disbelief, but his hand hit something, touching it and feeling it, he could feel a horn....
He now had a horn....
This was getting better and better....
He then looked at his free, open hand again, the same hand where it all started, where all these events took place, and he realized that it started to blink again, and started to glow again, completely covering Black's body. This time, something new appeared, an armor...
An armor with a symbol in the middle of it, it was the symbol of a black ball with white fire around it, an Eclipse...
He felt something this time burning on the right side of his butt... Or flank...
He blushed with embarrassment when he felt this sensation, looking at the location of the pain, he could see that it shone, forming a symbol, the same symbol as the armor he was wearing.
He could see, that his body had become something new, he was still a warrior, and he didn’t need such trivial armor.... However, he felt that this armor showed his superiority to any mortal that would look at him.
The armor seemed to be made of titanium, and it shined like diamonds, and he smiled when thinking about it.
This armor was designed and destined for a true god, him.
But what decent name for your new body? He was still Goku black, but in that dimension certainly there was no Goku...
Then he looked at the symbol again and his smile grew even more, Eclipse, his name would be Eclipse.
Every piece of the puzzle was fitting now, fate was giving him a new chance. A new dimension for him to save from mortals, a chance for redemption!
And an Eclipse demonstrated that he was the personification of the balance between the sun and the moon, or rather, good and evil!
He then looked again at that blinding light that he was holding, it then left his hand and flew forward, doubling from its size, and this time, throwing a ray of light in his direction. She again surrounded his body, but this time, he felt a different sensation, as if he was using instant transmission, and suddenly, he disappeared, in a flash of light.
Icy Mountains, was there where the newly named Eclipse was found in the background when he opened his eyes. After being blinded again by that sphere, he slowly stood up, looking at his surroundings, an open field. Convenient...
He then started to concentrate his ki to try to detect other forms of life, his horn started to shine as he detected some life signatures not far, which surprised him.
"Interesting... It seems that my ki can now be manifested by only one point, my horn, and not all over my body...."
Even though he thought it was weird, he just ignored it, he had more important things to do. Looking at the direction of the Ki signatures, he could see a....
Tree...?
Yes...
A tree, lonely among the mountains, with mortal dwellings.... Impressive.... Mortals are like a plague, they are always in places you would never expect. However, he was feeling well in this new body, and chance, now in a good mood, he would watch these mortals before deciding whether divine punishment would be necessary.
Who knows? Maybe this dimension had decent mortals, even if the mere thought of such a thing made him cringe physically.
Focusing his ki again, he flew, feeling his wings flap to give him an impulse and he flew towards that small town.
His disappointment came way quicker and heavier than he anticipated.
When he was able to see the city, the people there had the front half resembling an eagle with the talons and wings of such. Whereas the back half is clearly that of a lion.
But it was not what disappointed him, oh no. Mortals come in all sizes, forms and mutations.
What disappointed him was what he saw.
He could see that the inhabitants flew from one side to the other, they did not come into any form of interaction or eye contact, and when some of them accidentally hit each other, a fight would start.
The city, it was in ruins, he didn't even need to approach closer to see nor sense the scenes that, much to his displeasure, didn't surprise him.
Robberies, gamblings, stealing, some guards assaulting some innocent bystanders, and other worse things that he felt disgusted at just looking.
They are just barbarians, who do not think before acting and keep behaving like irrational and violent animals. Acting by pure instinct, wearing down and outright rejecting all the divine knowledge given to them by the gods.
He sighed.
It was no surprise, no matter the dimension, mortals were still a huge disappointment for the gods, and if he found those responsible for these mortals, he would make a point of punishing them accordingly for such failures, just like for those in his own universe.
He kept gliding while watching the city, and disappointed himself more and more as he watched it, while he looked at the scenes that irritated him, some of the residents noticed him, surprisingly mostly ignored him, and that was fine for the Kaioshin.
But a group flew at him with malicious smiles, he already knew what was going to happen, and he was prepared.
"Well, well, what do we have here...? A lost little Pony?"
He kept a neutral face when facing the group, with his hands behind his back, he could observe well how the group was formed.
On the sides obviously, they were the henchmen, big and strong. And in the middle was the leader, even if he did not reach the stature or the height of the cronies, he was with that ambitious look and smug posture.
He was certainly the leader.
Eclipse made an "Hunf" grunt and returned to observe the city, completely ignoring the leader, who immediately lost his smile and gritted his teeth.
He waved to the other two henchmen.
Both nodded and both flew to both sides of the god.
A smile threatened to appear in Eclipse, that was a reaction expected from mortals, they probably saw his armor and realized its possible value, and like any being with a mind as inferior as theirs, they will simply try to take with brute force to gain for their own benefits.
How pathetic.
The god just looked at both brutes and returned his attention to the "Chief" of the group.
"Listen, 'Your Highness', you seem to have a lot of nice things with you, no matter where you are from, if you don't pass it to us, the beating is going to be inevitable."
With the comment, he closed his eyes and started to chuckle, and the chuckle changed to a huge laugh, which surprised the assailants, who immediately regained their composure.
And they were not happy with the ignored threats. "We warned you 'princess'! Boys, get him!"
Both smiled and flew quickly toward Eclipse, and each threw a punch at him, with a dark smile Eclipse suddenly just vanished, and both thugs hit each other in the face.
The boss was very confused and started looking around desperately.
"What?? How?? where did he g-"
He couldn't finish the sentence, suddenly spitting blood.
Looking to the side while he trembled in fear.
He could see the god smiling in a maniacal way while impaling him with a silver blade formed in his hand. The henchmen could do nothing but look horrified at their boss, a dark and powerful voice, then bloomed out of the armored Stallion.
"Wrenched mortal, cleaning your race from these lands will be a privilege granted to me, you are mere trash that corrupts these lands." He let out a cry of pain as Eclipse penetrated his sword deeper into his back, it already starting to show itself on his belly, making him vomit more blood while the god's smile only increased.
He looked in horror at the alicorn "W-who... n-no, w-what a-are you??"
The god's response was just a chuckle at the question.
Then unceremoniously removed the sword from the back of his victim, who with his eyes rolled and took his last breath, fell from the enormous height that they found themselves, disappearing in the huge fog that formed below.
That death caught the attention of everyone who flew around, those who ignored the attempted theft, now looked horrified at the result and focused their vision on Alicorn who was proudly showing himself after his act.
Black looked at the henchmen smiling, while they looked back with massive amounts of fear, sweat poured from their faces and they had difficulties maintaining their postures after the cruel act.
Eclipse then faced the sun, dropping his smile.
"Who am i?"
He then looked back at the thugs, that flinched when meeting his gaze, he just smiled more.
Stretching his arms as he made a posture of magnificence as the sun shinned behind him.
"I am the supreme god, the divine purifier " He looked back at the terrified griffons, the crowd looked with horror, anger, and confusion at the self-appointed god who now opened the palm of his hand.
His horn glowed with a dark light, while in his hand an orb of energy was formed, increasing in size.
"I am a judge of the gods, and I will correct all the mistakes they made in creating you, I declare your species to be guilty, and the punishment....
IT'S TOTAL PURIFICATION!"
Black then after shouting those words, launched the energy ball towards the crowd.
Who looked baffled, but still not believing the words of that crazy pony, some even snorting at his grandiose words.
But they were cut off by the noise of the energy orb tripling in size.
And then turning into a gigantic sun falling towards the mountain.
Every single one of them screamed in horror and despair as they tried to run or fly away and accidentally ran over each other in their attempts to escape.
But for nothing. As the fireball consumed the whole mountain, a gigantic explosion was made, disintegrating the mountain in moments.
The proud capital city of the Griffons, Griffonstone. Had been completely annihilated.
Eclipse just watched the huge crater with his arms crossed and with a smirk. As promised, he would rid the universe of undesirable mortals, and nothing would stop him.
A new god had arrived in Equestria, and it would be one of the greatest dangers that perhaps the whole world had ever seen.
There was nothing left, her house, everything she loved one day, everyone she knew... All disappeared in a flash of light...
She thought while flying, she cried, she screamed, she could do nothing! Seeing that small gray orb fall, and then turning into a massive fireball... She had to warn someone, anyone!
Gabriella, or Gabby given by her friends, was horrified, destroyed inside. The lovely and happy Griffon couldn't smile anymore, she just flew towards Equestria, to warn her friends of the imminent danger.
That was an Alicorn, a Male Alicorn.
She saw, she managed to see his sillunette in the distance. She thought they were only legends, only Pony fairy tail.
She was a busy letter carrier, so she wasn’t in town at the time, but she was returning home when it happened.
That giant meteor of fire couldn't come out of her head and out of thin air, one second it was small as a rock, and on the other, it was a size that could rival the sun.
Her house, the house she grew up in, it was nothing but ash now.
She had to stop it, many others would be victims if she didn't do something.
Ponyville! she knew the Cutie Marks crusaders, they know the elements of harmony!
This is what she would do, only they would be able to end it.
She thought as she flew across the horizon towards Equestria, high in the clouds and at sunset, who would be the next victim of that mad Stallion?
He sat down on top of a rock at the edge of a mountain, watching the sun go down, he thought in the meantime, nature, something so wonderful, inhabited by beings so disgusting.... Why?
Why would the gods do that?
Looking at this paradise he just felt more hate, mortals don't see the good life that was given to them by the gods, they have fertile soil on the ground, they have plenty of food, they have water that can be reused for thousands of years, they have thousands of kilometers of land to explore, and what do they do?
They kill themselves for the stupidest reasons he can think of, for some insult, for some misunderstanding, or for some fictitious religion that they create.
He looked at his palm, he had embraced all these sins when he took this body, when he became a mortal, he had become the embodiment of evil.
He closed his hand while looking at the sun again.
But this is the sacrifice he made, it is his divine duty. To free the universe from this plague, he had to embrace sin.
He slowly closed his eyes and entering a deep sleep, he could be a god, but he still had the problems of a normal mortal, damn body.
The next day, Black had noticed that he was on an island, when flying he noticed a huge sea in the distance, after eating some apples that he had found in some trees in the region, which impressively were not destroyed by the mortals of the area, he flew towards the ocean.
The seas were crystal clear and beautiful, he could see and feel fish swimming and living their lives, at least something good in this world, he kept reminding himself of the time he spent with his master and the time he just watched.
They had visited an aquatic planet one day, and he remembered it as if it were yesterday, the planet was a wasteland, there was no sign of life, and overnight, an incredible ecosystem had emerged.
Gowasu had explained that we didn't need to intervene for the planet to evolve, everything was like a river, which followed its natural course, the gods were like rain, we could do very well a storm and reverse the course of the river as we wished, but ignorantly he thought that we should let the river follow its natural course.
Wherever somewhere in its path, an intelligent life form would gain the blessing of the gods to be able to imitate them and serve them.
But they always made the same mistakes, no matter the world, no matter the race, no matter their history.
They always destroyed themselves.
Thinking about it just reminded him of his goal, and reminded him of his divine objective.
He could see that he had arrived on land, as he landed, he looked around and checked his surroundings.
A simple forest with a large river that led further north, he decided that he would try to turn super Saiyan, he knew he could still control his ki, but he still did not know the full potential of this body.
Maybe there was a hidden transformation hidden in it? He had to make sure of it.
Taking a deep breath, he fired up his aura with a roar.
With that, his silver aura began to dance around his body, the ground gradually began to shake, he began to scream and scream more.
While the aura increased more and more, becoming a gigantic silver pillar without him noticing, his horn started to shine, the brightness increased the more he released his ki. The sun started to move, and suddenly, the moon appeared on the horizon.
He continued to scream, his spiky hair starting to rise and a crater forming on the ground while stones floated around him.
The moon and the sun met in the middle of the sky, and formed an Eclipse.
When he finished, he left his pose and opened his eyes, looking at his fist, opening and closing.
He was with all his power in the base form, the silver aura danced around his body, the crater was gigantic, and he had destroyed with much of the forest, and looking at the sky, he noticed what had happened, for the first time in a long time, the god was surprised, but slowly a smile appeared on his face.
He didn't transform, but he discovered something much more thrilling.
It seems that the marks given to him were not just decoration, he was fulfilling a prophecy, all mortals in this world will know! This is the breath of a new era!
Canterlot was in chaos, confusion and fear dominated the streets, the fear of a new 'Nightmare Moon' was in the air, the royal guard was doing everything possible to maintain order.
However the Eclipse in the sky was difficult to explain, Celestia had not yet spoken to her subjects about what happened generating even more paranoia, and the situation only got worse.
She was sitting on her royal throne, decorated with gold and her sun symbol in the middle, she was thoughtful and tense.
Beside her was her sister, Luna, in her throne decorated with crystals and black with her moon theme, she was showing a worried expression towards her sister.
"Tia, are you sure? It is not possible for a new Alicorn to exist? Never in the history of Equestria has anything like this happened! What if that Griffin is lying? A city cannot just explode out of nowhere!"
Celestia would sigh while supporting her head with her hand
"That Griffin, she’s called Gabriella, and she’s a friend, if Twillight trust her, i will also, you don’t need to be so suspicious of her little sister, and if what she said is real, this situation is more worrisome than anything Equestria has been through…"
Luna leaned thoughtfully on her throne, so she raised an eyebrow at her sister
"More than Nightmare Moon...?"
With a long sigh, she looked back at her sister with an expression of concern
"Maybe worse than Nightmare Moon and Daybreaker combined...."

However before he could throw it on the ground....
A cry... A cry of despair....
As he heard hurried footsteps of what looked like a running group. He clenched his fist, undoing the ki sphere.
He smiled, mortals, certainly heard about him, they will regret trying to get where they shouldn't. He slowly walked to where the noises were, he slowly formed a Ki sword in his hand, his gray aura focused entirely on his hand, while his manic smile increased even more.
Celestia sighed, she was very stressed, all the meetings she was part of revolved around that Stallion, the possible destruction of the Griffons, or the Eclipse that occurred.
Everyone was terrified, and she was tired of repeating the same things, the same lies.
She was mentally exhausted, lying to her little ponies wasn’t easy, her sister also didn’t help, paranoid and thinking about a thousand and one things that could happen in the future.
She already assured Luna that everything that could be done had been done, patrols had been tripled at the borders, search forces were sent to all corners of Equestria. And she just hoped it would be enough.
She walked down the corridor, towards one specific wall, and she slowly ran her hand over the paintings of said wall, she put pressure on a part of it, and slowly the block on it's own went deeper, and the whole wall started to shake, and it went deeper, and then suddenly, a pathway had been opened.
A passage had been opened, Celestia slowly entered the newly revealed room, it was dark and dusty, she then focused her magic on her horn, starting a light, illuminating the whole room.
There were a series of paintings on the walls to the ceiling, representing everything that Celestia and Luna had passed from the past, present and the future. The wars, the challenges, their accession to power, Nightmare Moon, and the appearance of the new carriers of the elements of Harmony.
Everything that had happened until now and then was registered in these walls.
But something stood out in all paintings, as they all pointed to a much larger painting.
In it, everyone; Celestia, Luna, The main six, were blinded by the lights of an Eclipse symbol, while a figure showed itself in a pose with open arms, while lights came out from behind of the Eclipse did.
It made her more worried, those prophecies all said that this new figure could change everything, a new god...
She didn't know how to react to it, but the prophecies didn't lie, she was proved that when Nightmare Moon came...
Many of the paintings gave hints of the future, but none mentioned this new figure, it was as if he had appeared out of nowhere..... Who was this new being?
Eclipse kept his maniacal smile while eating a fruit, sitting on a Manticore's body. Around, more and more bodies, all dead with holes in their torsos and some without heads.
He felt disappointed, he clearly expected more. While only some demonstrated capability of using Ki, others flew and some used only brute force.
Even if all had different qualities, all of them strived to the same endings that are equal to any mortal; A quick death.
He looked at the road they were going to before he intercepted them.
A village.
He smiled, perfect, one more species that he would put on trial.
He threw the fruit aside while getting up from the body. He stretched, giving one sigh as he walked towards that little village, noticing a sign a few meters ahead, "Ponyville".
He noticed that the village had a tall, highly decorated and colorful main building in the middle, a huge farm on the side, on the top he could see every tiny detail, the little conglomerate of mortals was way more.... Alive......
It was like they lived in harmony with the nature, different from the last one that was totally dead, and corrupt. One positive point for this society.
He slowly entered the village, noticing the movement of its citizens, the closer he got, the more people started to notice him. Walking in huge armor, and having wings and horn, it could be said that he was not the most subtle of people.
They moved away from him as he entered the village, in fear? Respect? Well, he didn't know, this was the first time contacting these mortals. However, something stood on his way.
A child stood in front of him, looking at him with fascination.
She was orange and it had purple hair and tiny wings, compared to his, it was like an ant compared with a mountain.
It made him smile. Ah the children, they were what he most appreciated of the foolish mortals, they had monumental innocence with no lust or evil in their minds and hearts, they didn't judge or steal, they only played and they only showed love. That of course before the older mortals corrupt them and bring them to the horrible normal mortal ways of war and malice.
He knelt and faced the smallest being.
"You are an Alicorn! Sooo cool!! Almost as cool as Rainbow Dash!!"
She said clearly excited while looking at the God
"Your wings are massive! C-can i t-touch t-them??" Surprising Black at the sudden and strange question, but he just as quickly shrugged it off.
Anyone in Black's future who saw this scene, would either be shocked by it or would not believe it. It was unbelievable!
The destroyer of entire species, genocidal, "Purifier" and heartless monster of the multiverse, being kind to a child?
Kneeling in front of the child while everyone around them now looked curiously at the scene, and some smiled.
"Yes, little one, I am delighted that the first person who became aware of my greatness is a child, and of course, go ahead..." While a mortal touching a god was clearly and obviously heresy of the highest order.... A request from a being with such a pure heart, it was... Difficult... To say no.
The little girl's eyes seemed to shine, she slowly extended her hand towards the Eclipse's wings, which in a movement with his wing that shocked everyone around, letting her touch and caress the silver fur of his feathers.
He was confused, why such reactions? It was not common show empathy? He would look more into this culture of these mortals.
She giggled with satisfaction, while he kept something extremely unusual for him, a sincere smile. The feelings of his body were in total conflict with his head, while he understood that he should and would go ahead with his plan. Something inside him screamed for him not to hurt that kind soul.
But even so, the judgment falls to everyone, including newborns. But this little girl showed something to him, this society clearly hadn’t manipulated this little girl’s mind into a killing machine, plus another positive point.
She seemed to lose her smile as she touched his wings, while starting to looking down, with a sad look, and making Eclipse raise an eyebrow.
"What's wrong little one? Being present to one of the creators of the worlds would leave any mortal feeling honored by my presence."
She lifted her head and with a wry smile as she forcefully laughs, clearly ignoring the 'creator of worlds' part
"N-no! It's not that mister... Is that... Your wings are so beautiful... And while mine are such tiny and useless..."
Black shook his head sideways in a negative way while smiling, that little mortal didn't understand that she would grow up? Didn't mortals bother to teach her that?
"You are still young, with time, your wings will grow to become as big as mine." She just was sadder, looking to the side as she clasped her hands tighter within herself.
"You don't understand, sir... My wings are not developed like the others... Everyone has big wings and mine are tiny, they all make fun of me.... I will never be like you..." Her eyes slowly became more watery, Eclipse felt sorry for the little mortal, so much hate for such small differences. They used it as a reason to mock and exclude each other, so pathetic, so cowardly.
But, not a surprising thing for mortals to do.
He hesitates, slowly extended his hand and put it on her shoulder, doing something he immediately started to question. Why?
She was a simple and useless mortal, she would live a few years and then die, she would spend like everyone else, a life that could be taken away so easily. Even so, he couldn’t, he couldn’t even imagine taking her life, a mortal who managed to create his own path and still not be rewarded for his resilience.
He was now doing something he never imagined in his wildest dreams he would do, he was questioning himself.
Now that he is alone, without his counterpart, he can only stop to reflect, whenever he arrived at a new civilization. Zamasu always reminded them of their objective, and without even a broad vision of the civilization they were about to "judge", they decimated everyone who saw in their path.
Not even the gods sent to stop them were spared, ironically, while Black had taken the lives of so many without any remorse, even with the cries of despair and begs for mercy. A simple mortal was making him question so much, so much that he fought and sacrificed to achieve.
Lost in his thoughts, he didn't notice that his touch on the little girl's shoulder, resulted in an unexpected reaction, she threw herself and hugged him, the sudden move was without warning.
Eclipse was totally shocked, what could he do? He was not expecting that, it had never happened before, he then slowly remembered a family on a planet that did a similar action before they died, before he killed them.
They hugged each other.
Remembering that, he slowly returned the hug, very hesitant, he managed to do it. She cried on his chest, tears streamed down by his armor, while she sobbed, something else he didn’t expect occurred.
He started to feel something in his chest...
Something he had never felt before.....
It was horrible, he felt like something was burning in his soul.
Guilt......
He was feeling guilty for what he had done, everything he had done for mortals like her, did they all deserve his justice? Did every one of them deserved death?
In that short hug he made with that little girl, brought so many doubts, so many feelings, he was getting completely overwhelmed, but he kept his calm, he had decided something at the time, that poor little girl, who had suffered for the idiocy of mortals would be rewarded.
He focused his ki, passed the divine energy to her wings, slowly growing them, forming a huge glow in result, and with a flash of subtle light where everyone around had been temporary blinded, the glow slowly decreased, he let go of the embrace, smiling.
She slowly started to open her eyes and looked at her wings, they were obviously not the size of his, but they were not small, they were the normal size for children of that age, she touched and moved them, she couldn't believe, after so much time, after so much time bullied, her wings were big!
She was jumping with joy and almost crying.
But this time not with sadness, but with happiness.
"WINGS! They are big! Yes yes yes yes! I can finally fly high in the skies! Just like Rainbow Dash!! Thank you! Thank you!!....? Mister....?"
She dropped her smile while she looked around the crowd.
He was no longer there, looking ahead, she could see him slowly walking back to the forest where he came from, passing by some bushes and disappearing from sight.
"W-wait! M-mister! I-i didn't get your name!"
However, her cries were useless, even if running, she couldn't reach him, he was already out of sight, out of her reach. She only put her hands in the middle of her chest and thank that stranger for his enormous generosity.
Eclipse had returned to the forest, away from the prying eyes from mortals. Sitting on a rock in the middle of the forest, he was in a meditation position with his eyes closed.
Now, he could think, reflect, think about everything he went through, all the battles, all the tragedies and all his ideals. And in that, he remembered Gowasu when he heard about Eclipse's ideals.
I see. However, this is what I believe... Justice entails bringing balance between good and evil. Even if evil makes you lose your way, you stay your ground and keep searching for the path of good... Is that search not what justice is? It is for that reason that the gods gave humans knowledge.
What did he mean about that? Justice has been always about good, not evil, that was all that he based his ideals on, that was all the reason he tried to clean up the universe of foolish mortals.
They used up the knowledge of the gods with their silly quarrels, the gods were perfect , they were what the whole universe revolved around, we created and showed the way, and even then, they used senseless brutality to achieve what? too much food? More land? More of their abstract concept of 'power'?
Gods are not perfect. Even gods learn and grow.
What did he mean by that? Gods were perfect! They were the apex of the worlds! They create and destroy! They bring balance to the universes!
He couldn't find an answer, because when he tried to accept one, two more questions arose.
He could only remain in that state of meditation, he had to find a solution to his goals, an answer, or at least a way out, he was upset without knowing why.
And he wanted...... No..... He needed an answer.
While he meditated, his silver aura was dancing around his body together with stones who flew around him.
Eyes watched him between the trees.
Eyes that penetrated into the night, with an intensity of hunger.
He was sitting cross-legged on a rock, stones floated around him, a silvery aura danced around his body, like a transparent burning fire.
He was meditating like this for day and night, sun and rain with no end.
He had already lost count of the days. maybe weeks have passed, maybe months.
But it didn't matter to him, the unanswered questions made him uneasy, throughout his life he always had concrete answers, he is a god he IS the truth.
But now? Doubts and questions are arising, not only in the matter of his philosophy, but also of past actions, when he killed mortals, when he tortured Goku.... He liked it, he enjoyed it, every single moment of it. He always blamed the mortal body, but when he destroyed that city with those avian beings, the cries of despair, the pain they felt which echoed through the mountains were like music to their ears, he felt a sensation of pleasure....
He was extremely confused. How could he, in a body of a god still held these profane feelings? Just a stupid human would take pleasure when doing these things because he could, it just irritated him even more.
Because more questions came up, and these questions he couldn't answer, but what blasphemy!
As an all-powerful god, how could he feel the same things as a human??
Absurd!
He was the pinnacle of beauty! Of the truth!
He was supposed to be better! And not equal to such smaller beings! And why did he help that girl?? She was just a stupid mortal! The lack of bodily development was not a problem for a deity like him!
And yet...
He felt he had to help that girl, he thought of how difficult it would be for that girl to adapt in a society where flying was the pinnacle of the event for beings with wings, he felt empathy...
The ground was shaking around him as his anger increased. He couldn't believe thoughts like that were in his mind! How could he?! He was going against all his own philosophy! Mortals did not deserve pity! They had no redemption...
But he remembered that little girl's smile, her happiness, and when she thanked him...
It was shocking to him how words so simple touched him so deeply, as how a few days in this strange land were changing him, she was different....
Yes, he had the same problems that he always saw, mortals still using the great intellect given by the gods for violence and ambition. But he saw different aspects, in that small village, he noticed something that was almost non-existent in other worlds that he visited, harmony...

Something he had seen that was missing in many worlds, this species seems to be identical to the body that he inhabited, these few facts seem to have caught his interest.
Even so, he kept his meditation focused on emotions, in a psychological battle within against himself. He felt something, something calling him, something inside him.
He deepened in his thoughts, and focusing more, he entered a state of deep meditation.
In his mind, he found himself in a void where he stood, looking around, he could see absolutely nothing, but he felt something, a sign of Ki, no...

Inside him? How was that possible? Ki ran through all living beings, it was how the gods created everything, each living being has its own Ki that represents its being of which makes each of them unique.
It should be impossible to have more than one Ki sign in a single living being, this perked his curiosity.
Slowly he walked it looked like he was going nowhere, but he knew he should see more than just with his eyes. He was getting close, and the further he walked, the more the Void changed, the darkness slowly cleared, showing a path of grass, and then...
Trees, and then, a forest, petals of flowers fell from the trees in his path, forming a wonderful landscape.
Slowly he smiled, one of the perfections of creation, these landscapes gave him hope, as he walked through the dirt path, he could see the resemblance of that forest to the forest that he was residing in for time, however, it was much more....
Peaceful, calm, and beautiful.....
Honestly, to transform a forest like that... It was tempting.... But what bothered him the most was that this wasn't his thoughts, this wasn't like his ordinary dreams.....
No, someone was changing that, and that someone was close.
As he got closer, he noticed a castle in the distance, it was gigantic and majestic, he was not going to lie, mortals knew how to make creative architectures. He slowly walked through the gates and through the castle entrance, each footstep he managed to observe better the surroundings.
They were totally deserted, but the gardens were still wonderful and majestic.
Their petals flying in the light breeze that passed, with their pollen ready to be collected by the bees.
It was one of the many masterpieces of the gods, a highly sustainable ecological system, where all living beings contribute and spread while do not destroy themselves for moronic reasons.
Going up the stairs, he could see the walls full of pictures and paintings, they were telling a story. As he went up, the more they described how looked like the society he had encountered before grew.
Obviously he saw something really common between mortals; internal fights between tribes.
Nothing surprising, but what caught his attention was that the tribes as the pictures showed, they were unified by what looked like two... Deities...!?

Why would the gods interfere with mortals....? Wasn't it prohibited? And if they interfered, they should have corrected their mistakes! They should have cleansed the land!
It kept showing one of the divine figures pointing his/her hand at the sun, it seemed to be creating it, while another one was doing the same as the previous figure, however he/she created the moon, so they had two Kaioshins? Did they decide to observe their creation more closely? But why live with them? You can't say that....
He was already sick just thinking about it, but are these Kaioshins, having relations with mortals?!
How absurd! How blasphemous! Do they lower themselves to the level of mortals just to feel better? Were they not trained to leave carnal temptation?
He had arrived at the end of the steps, he was now in a huge hall, in him, the stories separated, the story of the creator of the moon and that of the sun were now in huge glass, the story continued, showing both governing mortals in their respective schedules, which confused Eclipse even more, why?
They could easily collaborated with each other, yes, each one has their own creation, but both were made by the sacred hands of deities, it is our sacred duty to resolve everything as efficiently as possible.
As he walked down a red carpet that took him more deeply in the hall, he could see the panes converging in the front showing a titanic battle between both figures with their respective armies of night and day, on top of two thrones, one representing the Moon and the other the Sun...
However, he still wondered.... Did they fight? Why? What would they gain from this?
So an idea, it hit him.
Mortals, they were influenced by the mortals, not only did their concerns about them increase, but they started to think like them, act like them, they got lost...
What a horror, though....
Why was he seeing all this...?
"That, I can answer" A feminine but powerful voice echoed around the room, he looked around curiously and came across a figure sitting on the moon's throne.
He could see that she was of the same species as his, the horn and monumental wings were very present. She was completely black, both the wing and the horn were the same color, her predatory green eyes were flashy and she had a canine smile, she had an armor very similar to Eclipse, but she had her unique touches and symbols of the moon.
"Who are you?"
But another female voice, and potent as her counterpart of the night, answered it in an amused tone.
"A better question would be, what are we?"
Looking at the source of the voice, he gazed another figure on the throne of the sun where he could have sworn that before the thrones were vacant.
The figure was the same size as his counterpart of the night, her fur was completely white and predatory orange eyes that watched with something around curiosity and amusement, she wore golden armor and her mane seemed to be fire coming out of her body, an infinite flame.
He had to admit, his mortal body was forcing him to see the figures as majestic, beautiful, but fearful and venerable, could they be the goddesses described in the paintings and glass sculptures?
No.....
They were too much different....
Successors perhaps? He did not know
"You did not answer my question. And invading a god’s mind is a monumental sin" He said with venom in his voice when looking at the figures, who in response looked at each other, and giggled as if they were school girls. The Mare of the Night was the first one to speak.
"I already like you! " She spoke cheerfully as she slowly rose from her throne "My Name is Nightmare Moon, the god of the Moon, and ruler of the Night."
The fire goddess was soon to respond still with an amused tone while getting up from her throne. "And mine, is Daybreaker, the goddess of the Sun, the day is my domain"
After their presentations, Eclipse was about to say something, only to be cut off by the goddess
"And to answer your threat, even though you are very powerful, you can't erase us, we are part of you. "
He just bulged his eyes at the revelation, and she giggled at his reaction, the sun goddess continued
"You do not realize? Every bit of us is combined in you, Eclipse. You are our creation, we shaped you in everything but soul"
Now that he stopped and slowly analyzed, he could fit the pieces together, they should have felt his soul passing through the portal between dimensions after his defeat, as his body and soul were completely crushed beneath the wind, they made him their image, they had given him another chance...
"Why?" The question caught the attention of both goddesses, who looked at him with their curiosity peaked. "Why revive me? Why give me another chance?"
Both looked at each other, and both smiled before looking at him again
"We know you well Eclipse, we know what you did in the past, and we saw you as worthy of a second chance, you see, our counterparts outside the dream world are.... She hesitated for a moment before continuing. "They are not worthy of the title that was granted to them, we tried to change them, improve them. But for our efforts, they just banished us again to the dreamlands.. But you? You gave us an opportunity to not only end our past mistakes, but also restore our glory."
The moon goddess nodded. "Indeed, and you passed our test when you exterminated the griffons, they were always a huge mistake of creation; aggressive, territorial and completely greedy. You will be our judge, what will decide who dies and who lives." She spoke with great bravado, motioning her hand as she spoke. "We failed to recover our bodies and do the right thing, but you, you can make the utopia that you so desired, and form the paradise that you fought so hard to conquer"
Eclipse was shocked, a lot was thrown at him at the same time, created by the goddesses of this world to bring balance to the world and decide which mortal lived and which not, it was too good to be true....
He looked at the goddess and narrowed his eyes "How can i trust your word?"
Both then suddenly got up and started to descend from their thrones, Eclipse slowly started to walk backwards, watching the goddesses with suspicion.
The horns of both began to light up, and the auras of each lit up their respective chairs, they started to shake, and to move, and...
Merge....
They merged into one, the throne represented the same symbol he had.
The goddesses looked at Eclipse, who slowly walked past them, passing his hand over the throne, feeling it, connecting with it.
"We are already past Eclipse, we are just shadows of our former selves, we created you to be able to correct what we failed to create, we see your philosophy and we see your determination, we know you can do it, you are the fusion of our last vestiges of power that we could form."
He slowly sat down, rubbing his fingers on the arms of the throne, while the goddesses smiled more and more
"This is your destiny, rule these lands, you are the legitimate successor and the true pure god!"
They both took their swords in their scabbards and stood up pointing up at Eclipse on the throne
"You're Eclipse! The god of the Sun and the Moon! You are the Darkness and the Light! You are the Harmony and The Chaos! You are the true ORDER!"
Eclipse could not contain the smile on his face, while the swords suddenly flashed in their respective colors and released a ray of energy that combined and flew towards him, which upon hitting him blinded him.
Eclipse opened his eyes, they had changed color, they were more predatory, one green and one orange, he was still in his meditation posing on top of the same stone.
He slowly stood up smiling with his new predatory teeth, he now knew his destiny, his true destiny, the throne would be his, and he would bring true order and balance.
He walked in the direction of the same village he had left, he had a lot to do, but now, he had a direction to follow.
Again, he was walking through that strange village, this time, the residents were much less apprehensive about his presence, it was as if he didn't exist, no look of anger, fear or disgust. Just quick glances, and each one returned to what they were doing just as fast as they had seen him.
An interesting and unexpected change of pace. But welcomed nevertheless.
"MISTER!!" Before a shout came out of nowhere.
'That didn't last long'
He can't even feel the presence that practically flew in his face, she hit him in the belly and fell ass first on the floor.
Slowly he looked down with his annoyed look, only to see that child he had helped a few days ago... She had her hands over her mouth in shock, immediately making a nervous face and looking around, probably to find a place to hide.
"I-i am s-s-so sorry! I-i didn't mean to hurt you!"
His face returned to a normal expression as he raised an eyebrow, it was idiotic for her to think she could come even close to hurting him, yet adorable.
"You didn't"
She gave a nervous laugh, and then immediately surprised, looking into his eyes directly, making him curious again, she then jumped up and approached him
"Your.... your..."
She hesitated a lot, and he kept his expression neutral, smiling creepyly as he looked at her
"My?"
She looked at his teeth and seems to be immediately more nervous, looking to the side and poking her index fingers together with each other.
"N-nothing...."
He narrowed his eyes, and slowly bent down to match her eyes, she slowly looked at him in worry.
Scootaloo can only now realize how big he really was, he could be actually one of the biggest Stallions she had ever seen, Heck, he was bigger that Big Mac! Even if by a small margin.
She just stammered seeing him and backed away a little, while he slowly moved forward, filling the gap while maintaining his posture of authority.
"I am a god little one, i know when someone is lying or not."
But before they could continue or the filly could give any response, an angry scream could be heard from behind along with many running sounds.
"LEAVE HER ALONE!"
He felt someone flying behind him, and immediately he turned back with a speed that Scottalo could not even see him moving, it almost looked like he became a blur.
He stopped a punch aimed at his face, the impact caused a small Shockwave as the attacker came at a very high speed, he could see that the attacker was blue with rainbow hair and tail, she was female, and clearly she was shocked by his quick reaction.
"You truly thought I couldn't feel you, Arrogant don't you think?"
With those words, his hand started to shine, and Rainbow at the last minute jumped to the side, when a huge beam of energy was fired by his hand and almost hit her.
She rolled on the floor and stopped kneeling staring at him with hate, he returned the look with a neutral bored expression, immediately changing to a small smile, she snarled, using her wings she gave a boost and flew towards him preparing to throw another punch.
He just smirked, and a few centimeters before the punch hit him, he again at a speed impossible to see with the naked eye intercepted her in midair with a powerful punch in her stomach, making her spit blood and with an expression in total shock at the surprise attack.
She fell to the ground as hard as stone, passing out.
He looked at her and growled.
"Mortals." He said with a mocking huff. "If you thought that with your pathetic strength you had any pityful chance against me, you are very mistaken."
He tell to the now unconscious mare, making all the people around him look in horror, Scootaloo ran past him and knelt beside the colored-haired Mare, she shook her almost in desperation.
"Rainbow?? Rainbow!!"
He raised an eyebrow at that reaction.
'So that was the infamous Rainbow Dash that the little one so boasted about when we met?'
He felt disappointment deep inside, but what could he expect from mortals? Every single one is as sensitive as a cup of tea.
He then heard someone gasping, looking in the direction of the fountain he found a group of Mares of all types and colors. The white one was probably the source of that sound, the group ran and checked the fall while some left the group and went to face him.
"You! You did this to Rainbow?"
The Purple one said with a look of fury, then something hit him, he widened his eyes when he felt it, completely unexpected to him.
She had divine Ki, and also, she was like him in some ways, not only bigger than her counterparts, but also not only had a horn, but wings altogether as well.
Unlike every mortal that only had one or the other or had nothing at all, he slowly composed himself.
"You are a god."
She seemed taken back by the statement, but returned her expression and angry stance
"Yes, I am! Princess of Friendship! God and Element of Magic! And I demand to know what you did to my friend!"
Now it was the turn of Eclipse to be taken back, A goddess?? Friend of a mere mortal?? He just snarled at that, while his neutral expression changed to one of hate, completely ignoring the demands of her.
"Friend?? FRIEND?"
Now everyone around them withdrew a little in fear, while slowly Eclipse marched towards her, each step he took made a small crater.
While her friends took a few steps back, the aura of anger emanating within him was terrifying, except Twillight, who stood firm and stared at him intensely.
"I don't know how a god could lower himself so much to the level of having to fraternize with mere mortals... How can you? You have betrayed your very essence! The meaning of being a god!"
She just kept looking at him, both in that exchange of looks, so her response shocked him even more
"Of course I would 'get down' on their level! They are my friends! That's the main essence of friendship! What is your problem??"
"My problem?? MY PROBLEM?? You are just committing a monumental mistake! We are better than them in every way! You are degrading our image!"
She just growled at this.
"We are just like them you idiot! Who do you think you are to say these things?? To decide what's right and wrong?!"
He became silent, slowly watching and analyzing the goddess who challenged him and the things she said, and so he realized something, she was different.
When he saw Nightmare and Daybreaker, they had auras of power, their manes and tails showed that their power was so monumental that they were forced to be manifested in their body's a way that demonstrated that they had divine power, she didn’t demonstrate anything similar, nor wore any armor that symbolized the same.
One of the only things that could say that she was of an important position was presence of both wings and horn and the little crown on her head, but it was probably just ceremonial, she shouldn’t be a goddess, and she lacked a decent amount of divine Ki.
So he snapped, and finally understood, he couldn't even contain his expression of total shock, did she.....? A mortal became a god??
This changed everything, it just proved one of his greatest fears, mortals replacing gods!! This was a nightmare! There was no angel or higher being to ascend this god! How could this be??

A mortal sin.
A mortal falsely denominating herself as a god,
And Sins must be punished accordingly. Justice must be served, especially in such blasphemous case.
She continued challenging him, and before she could mutter another word, it went into an expression of total shock as she started to shiver.
She looked down at her belly, and she could just see Eclipse's hand with a gray aura impaling her, a hole of blood forming, as she looked at him shaking. In pain or out of fear, or maybe both.
He smiled slightly, her friends in total shock, seeing her best friend being stabbed in front of their eyes.
"I Get it now, you are just a lowly mortal trying to imitate the beauty of a god, so pathetic, so sad." She let out a cry of pain as he slowly turned the blade over her wound.
"So.... INFURIATING!" He screamed, and in a burst of movement he used his free hand and punched Twillight in the face, throwing her away. Immediately teleporting over her, intercepting her in the air.
"YOU ARE NOTHING COMPARED TO A TRUE GOD!"
And then he delivered a powerful kick, throwing her hard on the ground, making her fall and create a huge explosion of dust together with a crater.
Her friends could only look horrified by the scene.
"TWILLIGHT!"
He slowly flew to the crater, where Twillight fell, and as the dust dispersed it revealed her. She was all dirty with the dust of the impact and light scratches, a bloody hole was in her belly as blood dripped from it, she spat some of it when trying to get up and failing on her knees.
"It's so pathetic really, why does you chose to challenge me? Can't you just accept your inferiority and make my job easier? Because of this, your punishment will be more severe, the only thing worse than a mortal, it is a cheap copy of a god." He said while extending the span of his hand and with his horn shining, an orb of energy would surge in his hand as he pointed it at Twillight's face, who even with great pain continued to look at him defiantly.
"I am not afraid of you, monster."
He could only grin at the comment
"Then you will die, braver than most."
Twilight just closed her eyes and gritted her teeth waiting for Eclipse to shoot his energy and kill her right then and there as all of her friends stood there in shock, not knowing what to do.
A ray of light fell in the center of the city, making everyone cover their eyes by the sudden event.
Before Eclipse could even decipher the reason for all that light, a ray of energy flew from the source of the pillar right in his direction. He was unable to react in time and was hit, making him cross one, then two, then three, and many more houses. Creating huge holes as he crossed through.
Twilight, looking at the beam of light, only saw a white figure running towards her before rolling her eyes and passing out, Pinkie, the most energetic of the group, was already jumping of relief.
"It's the Princess! We are saved!"
Celestia ignored the pink pony while placing her hand behind her student's head, she was unconscious and very injured, the source of the wound luckily it did not hurt any vital points, she slowly healed the wound while the other elements surrounded her.
"She will be alright?"
Celestia looked at the yellow Pegasus, and made a warm smile
"She will... However, you have to take her out of here."
The Rainbow mane Pegasus protested as she leaned on her friend's shoulder, a little bruised but refusing to stay on the ground.
"No way! I have to kick this guy's flank for for hurting our friend!"
Celestia made a hand signal for them to stand down.
"No, He is too powerful, I have to do this alone"
She said getting up and slowly walking towards the ruined houses.
"No way we will let you alone with that brute darling!"
She looked back at them with one sad smile.
"I am grateful that you care so much about me and my dear student, but he is no ordinary villain, I need you to evacuate Ponyville, and take care of Twillight."
"But princ-"
Before a round of arguments could begin, a huge explosion appeared in the houses that Eclipse had been launched, completely disintegrating everything around it.
Eclipse appeared flying over them growling in anger, with a huge gray aura dangerously dancing around him, Celestia looked at the Elements with an expression that they never saw from their princess, Anger.
"GO! NOW!"
They all complied, taking Twillight and running away from the two gods, Celestia slowly flew to match Eclipse in height, and they both faced each other, Eclipse growled at Celestia.
"So, you are the much-acclaimed sun goddess that I was hoping to finally meet, the god that corrupted this lands."
Celestia kept her angry expression
"Keep your philosophy to yourself usurper, I didn't come here for small talk"
Eclipse just Smirked with the statement
"Usurper? No, I am a judge! And I have never seen a god as horrible as you! How such insolence!?? I can't believe you have the audacity to give titles reserved for only deities to these simple-minded brutes and salvages? Friendship? Passion? Don't make me laugh!"
Celestia's aura was ignited, as Eclipse had a huge Gray aura dancing around him, she had a huge aura of fire to compete with, she was shaking with anger and gritting her teeth.
"We are not better than mortals just because we are gods! We must be examples of what they have to strive to achieve, we have no right over life and death! And now you think you can come to my land? Make threats for reasons as selfish as these? AND HURT MY TWILLIGHT?"
Her aura seemed to get more intense over time, Eclipse was surprised by the pressure she was putting out for her anger
"YOU SHALL PAY!"
She roared in royal canterlot voice flying at him in an enormous speed, he just smiled at that, and increased his ki further, seeking to compete with the goddess, and flying at her as well.
"BRING IT ON!"
Both roared as they flew towards each other at speeds difficult to see with the naked eye, and both with their fists in front of them to meet in the center.
In a small village in Equestria, everything changed.
Their punches could be heard for miles, and grandfathers would tell their grandchildren the day their houses were obliterated by only the Shockwaves formed by the monumental battle.
The sky flashed yellow and silver, while the gods clashed.
In the sky, their auras burned like fire, and they flew like aimless meteorites which collided repeatedly.
Scootaloo could only watch and blame herself, blame herself for everything that was happening.
Since the confrontation started, it was her fault, when Rainbow attacked him without reason, thinking that she was in danger, and worse, she got hurt.
She could have died, but why?
Yes, he defended himself, but in such a brutal way? Why? What did she do to him? He had been so nice to her when she first met him, and now he came back so...
Hostile....
And his eyes.... They scared her.......
And now, the Princess was fighting him....
All of this because of her.... Because she was afraid of the only one that helped her when she needed....
She was gonna fix this...
That's why she was hiding in her house, watching the duel unfold, she wanted to do something ANYTHING, to stop this.... What could she do??
He wouldn't lie, he was having fun, it was the first time in a while that someone with decent power had fought him, her attacks were calculated and she could either deflect his punches or even get them head on, finally he didn't need to hold back.
He thought while exchanging punches with the goddess, he know that she was also holding back, he first thought that she was underestimating him, that she thought that she could beat him easily.
As they fought, he realized, she was suppressing her power because she didn’t want the battle to hit the mortals, he slowly smirked, that mistake would cost her life.

Gritting her teeth and grunting in pain, she didn’t back down.
Without her knowing, Eclipse kept a continuous chain of Ki into the Kamehameha, even so, she was still holding on.
Her resilience was admirable, even if futile, cracks where showing in her shield here and there. She would fall, and he still didn't even come close to his full power. Plus he was getting used to his new body, managing to grow with Celestia's powers with every blow she gave him, he felt a warmth inside him, a warmth he felt same as when he turned into a super Saiyan....
