Chapter 1
It was a bright day at Twilight´s school of friendship, and it was family appreciation day! Twilight let the students bring their families/guardians to school.
All the students brought their families, even Gallus.
Smolder brought Garble, even though he didn´t want to be there he came to support her.
Silverstream brought her father Skybeak, and her brother Terramar.
Everyone was super excited, and they couldn´t wait to show their families the new renovations to the school that they all helped with.
¨And these are stairs!¨ said Silverstream to her family.
¨Impressive!¨ said Skybeak.
Terramar couldn´t help but look around at the surroundings, until he locked eyes with someone...
He was looking into the eyes of a dragon.
He gulped, yet he wanted to go say hello at the same time. Strange enough the dragon kept his eyes on Terramar making the young hippogriff blush slightly.
¨Umm... Silverstream, who is that?¨ said Terramar looking at the dragon who in turn kept glancing back to look at Terramar.
¨Oh That´s Smolder´s brother, I think.¨ said Silverstream shrugging, and talking to their father about the stairs.
Terramar looked towards Garble´s direction, and saw the dragon talking with Smolder before coming over with her.
Terramar´s back was towards a wall as Garble cornered him.
¨Well, well what do we have here?¨ asked Garble. ¨Some kinda pony, eagle abomination??¨
Terramar felt those words strike him as he frowned Silverstream, and Skybeak walked in front of him in a protective stance.
¨Leave my son alone, dragon!¨ Screeched Skybeak.
¨Yeah, he hasn´t done anything to deserve your rude behavior!¨ yelled Silverstream.
Terramar felt tears welling up in his eyes but he wiped them away.
¨Hey, my brother didn´t do anything wrong!¨ Smolder defended.
Everyone was watching this play out, and hoping nothing bad was going to happen to inflict war upon them.
Terramar watched as they fought, and he became more sadden by the fact Smolder´s brother was a big jerk.
¨A-am I an abomination..?¨ he asked more to himself, yet they heard.
¨No son! You will never be an abomination...¨ said Skybeak. Silverstream nodded in agreement.
¨Then why do his words seem true...?¨ Terramar asked on the verge of more tears.
Silverstream and Skybeak had no answer.
¨Because they are true!¨ said Garble laughing.
With that, Terramar flew off crying as Silverstream, and Skybeak stood glaring at Smolder.
¨Umm.... whoops?¨ She said, but they only glared harder.
¨Okay, so Garble said some things, and they were... uncalled for... but he´s a dragon!¨ she said.
Silverstream, on the verge of tears hugged her father, before flying off to see if her brother was okay.
Skybeak however was starting to hate dragons, and their ways, this might bring out war...
Meanwhile, Terramar was crying on a cloud outside of Canterlot. Silverstream just had to listen to his cries to find him.
She was relieved for a second, until she saw his tear filled eyes full of heart break.
¨Terramar I... oh my gosh!!!¨ she screamed.
¨What is it Silverstream...?¨ asked Terramar not wanting to look at his sister.
¨Do you.... like Smolder´s brother?!¨ as she said that Terramar´s cheeks warmed, but he turned away.
¨No way... he is a jerk... and I... I could never love... a-a jerk..¨ said Terramar with tears streaming down his cheeks.
¨Yo, Terra-what´s-your-face, where you at?¨ a voice called.
Terramar´s heart skipped a beat for a quick second, but he punched his chest lightly, and laid back down on the cloud.
¨He´s over here guys!¨ yelled Silverstream.
Terramar rolled his watery eyes, and covered his face with his claws.
¨There you are son, why did you fly off like that?¨ asked Skybeak as if nothing happened.
Terramar uncovered his face, revealing his watery eyes, at which everyone gasped.
¨Because I´m an abomination!¨ yelled Terramar.
Garble felt some guilt, and sighed.
¨Can we have a moment alone everyone... just Terramar, and I?¨
Everyone glanced at each other and shrugged before leaving, but before they did Skybeak, and Silverstream both turned back to Garble.
¨Hurt him, and we will hurt you.¨ they both said while making the ´off with your head´ sign with their claws.
They flew off, and that left Garble and Terramar alone.
¨I´m sorry...¨ said Garble, as Terramar laid on the cloud sniffling, yet said nothing to the dragon.
¨T- Terramar, right? Listen man, I´m sorry if I was being a jerk earlier, I just didn´t want others to make fun of me...¨ confessed Garble.
Terramar was surprised for a brief second, but then rolled his eyes and flew to another cloud, Garble following.
¨Listen... I truly am sorry... I just don´t want to be seen as weak... again...¨ Garble finished the sentence softer in tone then he wanted.
¨Again..?¨ asked Terramar curiously.
Garble sighed, but nodded.
¨Umm... want to talk about it...?¨ offered Terramar, as he scooted over on the cloud to let Garble sit down.
¨Thanks... and yeah I guess you deserve to know...¨ said Garble finally.
So Garble went on and told Terramar all about the dragons, their home, and their ways, and why he acted the way he did towards others, and Terramar went and told Garble about his life, and what he went through.
¨Wow...¨ said Garble at last, ¨That was intense¨.
Terramar looked down, and wiped his tears away, ¨Yeah..¨ was all he said.
Garble then yawned. ¨Erhm... sorry..¨ he said, and Terramar just giggled, making Garble´s cheeks flush red.
¨Anyway... what can I do to make it up to you?¨ asked Garble shaking his head to get rid of the blushing.
Terramar looked up at the night sky before them, and sighed. ¨Stay with me... please...¨ he said, and Garble nodded, and said nothing more as Terramar laid down.
Garble looked at the young hippogriff to see he had fallen asleep, and Garble couldn´t help but smile, and kiss the young hippogriff´s forehead, causing a small snuffle from the hippogriff.
¨I promise...¨ said Garble as he picked up Terramar gently, and flew to Mount Aries, laying Terramar into his bed, and crawling in next to him.
When Silverstream, and Skybeak walked into the room they both saw the sight before them, and smiled.
