> Gaara of the Crystal Sand > by Kronos11111 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Hellos > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I opened my eyes to see a white ceiling. I sat up to see myself in a sort of hospital room. I looked out the window, taking in the view of the moon. The last thing that I could remember was using the Feigning Sleep Technique (Play Possum Jutsu) to let Shukaku take control. That's when I noticed it. Shukaku is gone, or at least he's finally shut up. I stood up, wandering around the room. It was as typical as any other room, the only thing out of place was the get well soon items next to my bed. I also noticed a envelope there as well, labeled "Mystery pony." Dear, Mystery Pony You are hereby invited to Princess Flurry Hearts 11th birthday party. It took a lot of convincing but my dad said you can come if you remain under constant watch. I can't wait to speak to you tomorrow when you wake up. Signed, Princess Flurry Heart. I placed the letter back in the envelope, setting back like it once was. I sat down in a chair in the corner of the room. I simply sat there, contemplating, 'Was Naruto right? Could the bonds of others really make me more powerful than I already am? There's no way he could be right. That idiot tried to fight Shukaku by himself after all. However, it was those bonds that caused him to fight so hard.' That was how my night went. I didn't move from that spot, thinking the same questions over and over again. The most common one, where was Shukaku? I didn't even realize that the sun rose. That was until the door swung open. Five pony-human things walked in the room. The smallest having a light pink fur with purple and blue hair. She had wings on her back and a her on her forehead. The next had a slightly darker pink fur with dark blue and blonde hair. She as well had wings and a horn. The other three seemed to be made of crystal than actual flesh. One seemed to be a doctor or nurse of some kind while the other two wore crystal armor with a sword at their hip. I guess this explains where Shukaku is. He's still fighting Naruto while I dream. The smallest one ran up to my former bed. She looked slightly scared when she realised it was empty. I stood up, the chair squeaky slightly. Everyone turned to me. "I see your awake." The taller pink pony said, "I'm Princess Cadence," she motioned to the smaller one, "This is my daughter Flurry Heart." Flurry Heart stepped closer to me. "Hi! What's your name?" As much as I didn't want to answer I am talking to royalty. Even if it isn't from my land. "I am Gaara of the Desert from the Land of Wind, the Village Hidden in the Sand. It is a pleasure to meet royalty up close and personal." The doctor walked up to me. "It's nice to meet you Gaara. We need you to help fill out some medical records." The Questions were simple. Age, gender, blood type. Then it got to a difficult subject, "Alright all that's left is parents. Who is your mother?" "She died giving birth to me so it doesn't matter." She looked a little uneasy, "What about your father?" "He effectively disowned my at age three." She was getting even more nervous, "What about extended family? Like a uncle." "I killed my uncle when he tried to assassinate me under my father's orders." The room went deathly quiet. Then Princess Cadence spoke up. "You shouldn't joke about things like that. I'm not sure how things work where you're from but here you can't make jokes like that." I simply responded by turning to look at her. She grew nervous, "Your not joking are you?" Again I met her with silence. The doctor scribbled something down before leaving. The princess whispered something to one of the guards before they left. "Please, follow me to the ballroom. That's where we are having the party at." I nodded, grabbing my gourd on the way out. The guard that was still here followed as, albeit at a distance. The other one must have gone to put more guards in and around the ballroom. I crossed my arms on the walk over. Once we got there I found my suspicions to be correct. There were guards stationed everywhere, some even dressed as civilians. They could at least try to not look suspicious. There were at least eight people of interest. Three looked like more princesses and once looked like a prince. I was lead over to them while Princess Flurry went to play with some friends. The tallest had white fur and a multi colored hair that flew in a invisible breeze; she had wings and a horn. The next one had dark blue fur and hair like the night sky; she also had a horn and wings. Then there was a white male with just a horn and blue hair. He was clearly on edge. The rest didn't interest me. The white woman spoke, "Hello there, I'm Princess Celestia. This is my sister Luna. It's a pleasure to meet you." "The pleasure is mine Princess. I am Gaara of the Desert, from the Land of Wind, the Village Hidden in the Sand." Most were surprised. "That's quite a gravelly voice for one so young," Princess Luna said. She then pointed at something on me, "What does that symbol mean?" I looked down at it to see she was pointing at mt headband. "It is the symbol of my village. Every shinobi gets one when we graduate from the academy." I could sense a few of the undercover guards approaching me from behind. "Also..." The guards pulled out knives or swords, trying to swing at me. As expected, my sand stopped them before they even got close, "If your going to assassinate me, you can at least try." I brought my right hand up in a ram seal, "Sand Binding Coffin." The sand in my gourd wrapped around the guards completely. "Sand Waterfall Funeral." I didn't need to turn around. I heard the snapping of bones behind me as I crushed them to death. A few drops of blood landed on Princess Celestia's face. > And the Goodbyes > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The look of horror on everyone's faces. It was pure extacy. The rush it gave me was exhilarating. While everyone was still in shock I snuck some of my sand into the floor. It seems that nearly everything in this palace is made of crystal. While I can't grind it into sand I can still use my Magnet Release to manipulate the minerales like sand. Even if it does use more chakra to use. Then I moved the sand I used to crush the assassins back into my gourd. "Your plan was pathetic at best. I don't even know what you were trying to accomplish." I looked around the room, "I've been meaning to blow off some steam due to recent events. Killing everyone here should fulfill that need." Everyone started running out of the room. The guards ran from me like I was the plague. All it did was bring a smile to my face. The only ones left was the princesses, the important looking man, and the six other woman. One of the woman who had blue fur and rainbow hair started using her wings to fly around. She would swoop down to punch or kick me but fail as my sand protected me. I didn't even need to look at her. She was moving way too slow to hurt me. "Pitiful attacks like that will never pierce my absolute defence." She flew higher, brushing her hair on the ceiling. She simply smirked at me before flying around the room. Then my sand protected me from behind, then in front. She's moving faster than I can react. It's just like fight Rock Lee all over again. Everyone was distracted by the woman flying around to pay attention to me. I secretly used some of my sand to create an armour. Meanwhile the woman kept getting faster and faster. A rainbow streak left in her path. Her attacks started to get threw my sand barrier. Eventually it wasn't long before she got a good punch in. I was sent flying a good few feet, landing face down. "Ha! So, much for an 'Absolute defence.' How do you feel now?" I could tell from her voice that she was a very prideful person. I started to get up, some of my armour falling off, "I thought I told you..." I looked back at her. My armour falling off but I myself was unharmed, "You can never pierce my absolute defence." I could feel my bloodlust taking over. The urge to kill them all was unbearable. I started weaving hand seals, first I started by clapping my hands followed by, boar, monkey, rat, monkey, horse, dog, ram, horse, and finished it off by clapping my hands again. "Magnet Release: Crystal Tsunami!" A tidal wave of crystal shards erupted from the floor. It crashed down, engulfing everything in its path. I decided not to take any chances and kneeled down, raising my hands. "Crystal Waterfall Imperial Funeral!" I slammed my palms into the crystal. The crystal wave began compress and grind together. The immense pressure caused the crystal to flatten out and crush anything inside it. I started to feel satisfied now that I killed them. That was until I Noticed a flash of light behind me. Turning around I saw all of my victims alive and well. Some had a few scratches here and there but were mostly fine. Celestia's horn began to glow a golden yellow before everything went dark. *** I awoke in a dark and damp cell. Pain was the first thing I noticed. Wait... How could I feel pain in a dream? Unless it isn't a dream. The only thing I had on me was my clothing. My gourd and everything else was taken. My cell had a few loose stones and pebbles here and there. The sound of footsteps brought my attention to the front of my cell. Princess Celestia stood on the other side. "You made quite the scene. Not only that but you had the power to back it up as well." She showed no emotion. "I only ask why you did such a thing?" "I thought this was all a dream. The last thing I remember before waking in the hospital was using a ninjutsu to put myself to sleep. Forgive me for my past actions." Why was I apologising? Naruto must be getting to me. I can't let his Ideals of friendship take hold of me. She looked over to the side, "Your verdict?" The orange fured woman from before walked out from around the corner. "He's tellin' the truth Princess." They stared at me for a moment. "We'll need to continue this conversation sometime tomorrow. I'm sure you have a lot to talk about." Before I could refuse they walked off. I gathered a few of the pebbles, crushing and infusing the sand with my chakra...I'm going to be here a while. > Update > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Read blog post
