> Affection For Each Other. > by tam285 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > 1. Telling The Closest. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- “We really need to tell the girls..” Twilight trailed off, pacing back and forth on the floor, her hooves clicking against the crystal. Her marefriend, Rainbow Dash was sat on her throne, Spike next to her. They were both watching the chaos unfold of stressed Twilight. That was, until Rainbow had enough and stepped in to save the day. “Twi, stop. They’re gonna accept us.” Rainbow said. They are out friends after all. They’ll stick by us. So what if some high class ponies say we can't be together because we're both mares? Just tell 'em to shove it and they'll leave us alone.” Rainbow calmly said, comforting her marefriend. “So what if they don’t accept us? We’ll know then that they ain’t the right friends.” The alicorn stopped dead in her tracks and turned to Rainbow. “I know, I know.. but what about your parents? Mine say It’s fine, Celestia knows, what about your parents, Dashie?” Rainbow was completely stunned by this question, so stunned that she didn’t hear or see her marefriend get closer. And closer. So close that when Twilight sat next to Dash, she jumped internally. Dash rested her head on Twilight’s shoulder, sighed and then started her story of tragedy. “Well, I never really knew much about my dad. He hardly wrote to my mom over the years because of his work being all over the place. One day he just... disappeared into thin air and nopony's seen him since." Twilight was in awe. "Is that why you're all tough and no snuggly?" Rainbow looked up and have an awkward, but affirmative nod. Twilight stretched out her hooves, hugging the obviously distressed pegasus. Resting her chin on top of Rainbow's mane, she gave the top of her head a small kiss." I like it when you're all snuggly." Rainbow just looked away, blushing. “Aww, am I making the strong pegasus blush?” Twilight cooed, a smile stretched on her muzzle. Rainbow just blushed harder. "Anyways.." Twilight retracted from her marefriends frazzled up mane and looked her dead in the eyes. "Time for bed?" Rainbow nodded and took off running, indicating a race had started. Twilight was far behind than she was comfortable with. By the time she had come to her senses, Rainbow was already out the door. "OH YOU'RE ON!" She yelled, getting up and running for the door. When they arrived at the bedroom door, Rainbow rushed in and flopped herself onto the bed. Nuzzling into the pillow, she fell asleep. Twilight got ready for bed and snuggled next to Rainbow, absorbing her warmth. She gave a small peck on her cheek. “Night, Dashie.” When morning came, Rainbow Dash was nowhere to be seen. Twilight got up in a panic, still tired. She had a shower and went towards the kitchen to see Rainbow Dash flipping pancakes. She was humming away to herself and Twilight knocked on the door lightly, standing in the doorframe. She left out a small snicker and then sat down and Rainbow placed pancakes on her plate. "Food is served, ma'am." She said, winking at Twilight. "And yes, it is double chocolate deluxe surprise, better known as your favourite." she added, slipping away to clean up after breakfast. While Twilight was eating and Rainbow was cleaning up, silence fell. Rainbow then asked the question that her marefriend didn't expect." So, who are we gonna tell first? Flutters already knows I prefer mares so... How about AppleJack?" Twilight almost spit our her pancakes right there and then. She began to stutter when rainbow put her hoof on Twilight's muzzle. She then calm down and look at Rainbow who pulled a fast one on her, removing her hoof and planting her lips on her own in an affectionate kiss. Twilight wrapper her hoof around Rainbow's mane. It lasted about 30 seconds before they had to part for air. "Telling Applejack would be smart." Twilight said, in between short breaths. Rainbow gave Twilight a short nuzzle on her cheek and she began to blush. "Also, I'm gonna get you back one day for that prank you pulled on me last month." Rainbow Dash let out a mix between a sigh and a moan. (Sweet Apple Acre's, 1 hour later.) The sun was much warmer than the previous week, not a cloud in the sky, thanks to the Ponyville weather team. Applejack was harder to find than the past few days that Rainbow had been over. "Can you see her anywhere?" Twilight asked, raising her hoof to her forehead to block the heat. She zoned out for a few seconds but then got snapped back to reality when she heard Rainbow whistling and signalling her to a place behind some trees. There was AJ, bucking some trees. She stopped and gave a short wave before running down the hill to greet them. "Heya Dash, Twilight!" She started, looking at the two gleefully. "What brings you to me today? Some cider, pie or?" She looked back at Rainbow and Twilight. She just sighed. "Look what can I do for ya?" Rainbow let out a sigh and just looked towards Twilight, and then towards AJ again. She draped a hoof around Twilight and looked back at her friend. "I'm dating somepony, AJ." AppleJack's face lit up and she didn't have a second to ask who when Dash answered the question. "I'm dating Twilight, AJ." AJ gave out a slow whistle. Adjusting her hat, she ruffled Dash's mane. "Well, lookie here! Dash has herself a marefriend, never thought I'd see the day!" This response took them away. They expected a loss in their friendship, or worse. The last thing she expected was a congratulations from her. The 3 mares stood in silence. "Well, you two have fun getting busy in the sheets and I'll try not to think about Rainbow and an Alicorn princess getting it on at 2am." Rainbow just chuckled nervously, getting hit in the side by Twilight. "You mean you've done it before? The whole thing?" AJ said, adjusting her hat. "Well I'll be darned." Silence fell again for what felt like an eternity. Twilight let out a awkward cough. "We really need to move on. Who next, Dash?" Dash watched AJ walk away to the tree, and start bucking it. She turned to Twilight. "Fluttershy, to give her the update, then Rarity. Then Pinkie. Then give it a while, and the whole town." 2 hours passed, they visited Fluttershy's cottage at the edge of Ponyville, she congratulated them, accepted them with open hooves and told any questions, which Twilight and Dash happily answered. Even the awkward questions about the 'fun'. Rarity was extremely pleased that Twilight and Dash had hooked up, stating that she needed to do something with Dash's mane and Rainbow just disagreed with the whole conversation. (Sugarcube Corner, 10 minutes later.) Twilight just sighed. "Dashie, why are we here?" She shoved the front door open with her hoof. What greeted her was Mr Cake at the front till. "Afternoon, Your Highness, afternoon, Rainbow Dash!" Mr Cake greeted, pausing to wave a hoof at them, before pausing entirely. "So, I got no customers because it's closing time. So, in other words what can I do for you?" "Well, Mr Cake.." Rainbow started. "Would you happen to know where Pinkie Pie is? We uh.." She looked over at Twilight who looked up, sighed and nodded. "We need to tell her something.. Something that we've kept secret for almost 6 weeks now..." Twilight knocked on the door lightly. No response. She knocked again, this time waiting longer. Pinkie opened the door, however she looked tired, like she hadn't got any sleep in days. "Sweet Celestia, Pinkie it looks like you need to go to bed." Dash said, wide eyed. "Is taking care of the Cakes really that bad?" Pinkie only nodded in response. Dash sighed. "Well, look. We have something to tell you and you have to promise not to tell anypony." Pinkie gave out a sigh. "Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake on my eye. Now what is it so I can plan a party!" Her mane poofed up and she levitated at least 2 feet up in the air, despite being an earth pony. "Buck it!" Twilight yelled, teleporting over to Dash. The movement shocked her, however that wasn't going to stop Twilight. She used her magic to levitate Dash to her and planted her lips on Rainbow's. She could see Pinkie in the corner of her eye, and her smile grew wider with every passing second. When the kiss parted, Pinkie just clapped. "So Dashie really is a cute, romantic pony? I knew it!" She exclaimed, a bounce in her step. "So, have you done the deed yet?" Twilight looked dumbfounded. "Pinkie, what do you-" A whisper in her ear from Dash confirmed what she meant. "We've done it 3 times, Pinkie. Don't tell anypony though." Dash said, her face turning red. "The way Twi moans, it's-" She got cut off by Twilight's hoof on her muzzle, blocking her words. But it was too late, Pinkie was on the floor laughing her flank off. "You finish that sentence, I'll make it 2 times. You be a good little Dashie and we'll make it 5 by the end of the week." Twilight said, seductively. Rainbow's face turned even more red. Pinkie cleared her throat, getting the attention of the two mares. "So when can I plan the party?" She asked, happiness gleaming in her voice. "When we're ready for the town to know. Then you can throw us the epic Pinkie Party we've all come to love over the years!" said Rainbow, walking over and hugging her friend. She then walked over to Twilight. "Well, we're gonna go and leave you to sleep. Have a good night!" And with that, they closed Pinkie's door and heard her collapse onto her bed. "Well." said Rainbow Dash, looking at Twilight in the moon's view. "It's time we go home and pass our on the couch." Twilight let out a giggle, looking around to see nopony in view. "Is my Dashie sleepy?" D'awwww, you have this other side to you. Just under the strong, fierce pegasus, is an adorable, sweet pony. I like the new you, it's better." Rainbow was now blushing harder than ever. Twilight just giggled harder. > 2. Words Released. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The castle doors never looked so intimidating. At this point, Rainbow's eyes were almost fully closed. She needed sleep and Twilight needed it as well. Rainbow let out a yawn. "Well, I'm beat. I'll probably pass out on the sofa." Twilight rubbed the top of Dash's stomach. By the looks of it, it looks like she enjoyed it a lot. "Aw, see? You like the stuff, admit it and I'll continue." Dash chuckled. "I admit, they are relaxing. Now, will you admit that you like how I make love to my mare is more relaxing?" Twilight chuckled. "It is relaxing after a long day of meetings, now will you admit you love how I scratch behind your ear?" Rainbow gave out a large puff of defeat. "Fine, I'll spill." said Dash, opening the library's doors. "I like it." They both sat around the fireplace, on the couch. Twilight patted the side of her. Dash accepted and fell asleep almost instantly. This warmed Twilight's heart up, more than the fire could of. Twilight just smiled at the warm bundle of joy in her hooves. Rainbow turned over in her sleep and rested her head on Twilight hoof. She smiled even better. "I love you, my little Dashie. Things will be better with you, I promise." Whispered Twilight, nuzzling Rainbow's head and then giving up to sleep. The next morning, she woke up to thunderous knocking came from the library door. "TWILIGHT, I'VE BEEN CALLING YOU FOR THE PAST HALF AN HOUR!" yelled Spike, who was still pounding on the door. "GET YOUR FLANK OUT HERE RIGHT NOW OR I'LL TELL CADENCE ABOUT YOUR MAGAZ- Twilight slammed open the door, almost hitting him in the face. "Okay first of all!" Twilight stated. "It was an accidental purchase, Spike!" All this yelling woke up the pony sleeping on the couch. Rainbow Dash woke up and groaned slowly. "Jesus, what happened yesterday?" To her side, there was Twilight. They shared a nuzzle and Twilight sat next to her. "Now, what's the big issue so this one can go back to sleep?" Twilight asked, booping Rainbow's muzzle with her hoof. "Well, it's not exactly the best of sights." Spike said, worry in his voice. This made Twilight rise up from watching the sleepy pegasus to standing up and right next to Spike's side. "How bad?" Asked Twilight. She listened to the front door banging hard. "Wow that's bad Spike. Keep an eye on my Dashie for me and I'll go see what these hundreds of ponies want." When Twilight opened the door, dozens of interviewers greeted her, as well as her friends and about 2 dozen guards. She let her friends in and thanked the Royal Guards for coming." Why in Celestia's name are you here and why is their like, half of Ponyville's WHOLE POPULATION! AT MY DOOR?!" Twilight said, slowly raising her voice. Opening the door, Rainbow was putting more wood on the fire, which had extinguished during the previous night. "Twi, do you want a coffee?" Dash asked, looking at her. She nodded and walked towards the kitchen. This left the others talking about their day. "So..." Pinkie said, leaning out of her seat. "Get up to any... fun last night?" Twilight facehoofed and let out a sigh. "No we didn't, we got in last night and then she went out like a light. It's kinda adorable, really." At that moment, Rainbow walked in with a few drinks for her, Twilight and her friends which they graciously accepted. "I have to go to work now, so I'll see you girls later." Rainbow said, nuzzling Twilight on the cheek. She winked at Rainbow and she blushed harder than she ever did before. The day went by like lightning, and that was literal. The weather team had scheduled a storm for the next few days and Rainbow was a part of setting it up. A few jokes were cracked but overall, the weather team didn't generally care about Rainbow's preferences, as long as she did the job, and she did it right. By the time Rainbow got to her cloud house in the sky, it had already began to rain heavily, almost hail at multiple points. Since you can't have windows in a cloud house due to them being made out of clouds, there was no way of keeping the cold air out. Rainbow Dash had 2 options; Stay and endure the cold, after all she had a free week to herself starting tomorrow, or go to her marefriend's castle, snuggle up by the fire and dodge the cold completely. Sighing, she thought back on simpler times. Tears began to form in the corner of her eyes. She shook her head and wiped then away. "Come on, I am the Rainbow Dash! I never cry, and that won't start today!" She thought to herself. Rainbow grabbed her jacket and headed from the door. Putting it on, she pulled the hood up and took flight towards Twilight's castle. "I hope she finds me snuggly on this jacket.." Dash trailed off in her mind, momentarily forgetting the storm she was flying in. All of a sudden, a lightning bolt interrupted her train of thought, sending a cloud hurling toward her. She got tangled in it and struggled to get out, but eventually succeeding. Arriving at the castle, she felt her a sharp pain run through her right wing. When Rainbow looked, nothing was there. No bruises, no nothing. Knocking on the door, she wondered how her wing got injured. The cloud might of been responsible for it, but most likely it was due to her horrible lack of sleep in the past few days. When Twilight opened the door, she had a puzzled, yet excited expression. "Dashie, why are you here?" Twilight asked, inviting her in. Twilight looked more tired than Rainbow. "Well.." Rainbow trailed off, pulling down her hood. "Cloud houses ain't really the best for keeping the cold out so could I..." Twilight giggled. "Of course you can, Dashie! Why would I say no to the most adorable thing in Equestria?!" she cooed, pulling Rainbow's hood up and giving her a nuzzle. Dash winced in pain and looked towards her wing. It was starting to swell up slowly. Twilight looked really concerned. She embraced her marefriend in a tight hug. "Could you take a look at my wing, Twi? You're the one with the brains, after all." Dash asked, looking at the injured limb. Twilight happily agreed and led her to the library. Sitting down, she caught glimpse of Twilight's flank. She wanted it, she wanted to nuzzle it like a fluffy pillow and more. She was snapped out of her mid-fantasy pleasure when Twilight was in front of her face. She chuckled. "I know you want my flank, Dashie." Twilight said, pulling a medical book from the shelf. Turning around, she walked towards Rainbow. "If you want it, be a good little Dashie, we'll see." Twilight said seductively, and finishing finishing with a wink. Rainbow was blushing and Twilight just rubbed her leg. She just moaned silently. "Well, it looks like your wing is sprained at the base." Twilight said, placing the medical book aside. This blew Rainbow's mind, considering that she isn't a doctor and it took her less than a minutes to make a diagnosis. Before she could even react, Twilight was in her face again, ready to ask another question. "As snuggly as you are in that jacket, I'm gonna have to ask you to take it off." Twilight asked, giggling. Rainbow blushed hard. "S-sure, Twilight!" She said, trying to regain confidence. "I'm sure you wanna see my super fluffy chest and you wanna snuggle up on it and.." As much as Rainbow could talk about how awesome she was, now wasn't the time. She slowly took the jacket off, Twilight's expression getting more eager with every passing second. Finally it was off and she crawled up on the table. Nuzzling Rainbow's chest, she felt the fur and wanted to fall asleep right then and there. So she just lay there for what seemed like ages. Rainbow gave out a small chuckle. "And I thought I was the cute one in this relationship." she said, while stroking Twilight's mane. "Now, let's get a bandage on this wing bandaged up so you can snuggle up on my chest some more." > 3. Snuggles and Questions. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Twilight, cmon." said Rainbow Dash, in a gentle tone. "We can snuggle after you bandage my wing." Twilight gave out a huff. Getting up she grabbed the tape and bandages. "Okay I'm gonna need your wing." Twilight said, reaching out to touch it. Dash retracted her wing and shuffled to the left. Twilight ran her hoof through Dash's mane. Giving her a reassuring look, she sat on the other side. "Dashie." Twilight started, letting Rainbow rest her head on her shoulder. "Please let me bandage your wing up." Rainbow thought for a second. "Only if you let me read those magazines later." She said, making Twilight blush and shuffle. "And who knows? Maybe we can have some fun after our book club?" she added, winking. Twilight rolled her eyes with a slight blush. Gently grasping Rainbow's wing, she put bandages over it and sealed it with tape. Grabbing her jacket, she placed it over her head when she realised that getting it on would be more of a challenge than she thought. Struggling, she felt Twilight's magic surge over the jacket and fit her body. Dash just blushed. "If I needed help, I'd of asked!" she said, chuckling. "Now, let's go to the library, and snuggle n' stuff." Twilight nuzzled Rainbow. "I just want to nuzzle and possibly, fall asleep on that hot, sexy chest." Rainbow's cheeks went red. "S-shut up!" she stuttered "I might be hot, yes. Sexy? Definitely. But I'm not that cute and snuggly in this jacket!" "I don't know..." Twilight trailed off sarcastically. "Seems to me the snuggle factor is off the roof!" She rested her hoof around Rainbow. "And Spike is away in Canterlot for the week, so we're alone.." Rainbow was going to protest against that, but got cut off by a loud bolt of thunder outside. This made her jump at least 3 feet in the air. Twilight stopped dead in her tracks. "Are you afraid of lightning, Dashie?" Twilight asked, a smirk emitted on her muzzle. Dash's eyes went wide in an instant. "N-no!" she stuttered, striking a pose. "The great and awesome Rainbow Dash is not afraid of lightning!" "So let me get this clear..." Twilight said, opening the door to the messy, cluttered library. "You're cute, adorable, snuggly, awesome, great, awesome and the best marefriend in the world?" Rainbow nodded frantically. Getting a few pillows, she placed them in front of the fireplace. Then, with a burst of magic the fire was lit and burning with energy. Rainbow sat down on a pillow, resting her head. Twilight picked out a book and walked over to the half asleep pegasus. "Hey, don't you go falling asleep on me." she said, walking over to her side and stroking her hoof though her mane. Dash yawned, slowly joined by Twilight. The day was slowly taking a toll on them and they were exhausted. Twilight leaned against Rainbow temporarily." Don't forget who I have to snuggle with tonight!" she yelled, excitedly. "So, turn over. I wanna see that chest of yours." Rainbow did what she was told. This seemed to please Twilight. She slowly removed the jacket and observed her 'pillow' for the night. "Well, what are you waiting for?" asked Dash. "Come on, I'm right here, come get your sexy mare." Twilight happily accepted and nuzzled Rainbow's thigh slowly. "Mmm..." moaned Rainbow. "Twi, please keep going.. That feels amazing.." As per request, she kept going. Rainbow Dash just kept moaning in delight. Each moan getting louder. "Twilight..." Dash said, in between moans. "Yes, snuggly?" Twilight said, slowly increasing the speed of the nuzzling. "S-silencer... Spell.." she said, in between a loud moan, louder than the rest. "No need, we're swapping fun now..." Twilight said, crawling to Rainbow's side. "What are you doin-" Rainbow asked, but getting cut off by the answer. Twilight was nibbling her ear and by the sound of pleasant moans, she must of liked it. "Twilight, don't stop p-please...." she said, in between short moans. Twilight paused and gave out a yawn. So did Rainbow. The nibbling stopped and Twilight crawled on top of Rainbow's body. "Can I wear your jacket, Dashie?" Twilight asked, sleepily. "Of course, Twily." Dash responded, grabbing the jacket from underneath her head. Using her magic, she lifted it over herself halfway before she fell asleep. Dash's heart warmed at the sight and helped Twilight finishing the task that she had started. Pulling the hood over her head, she stroked her back with the un-injured wing which caused Twilight to shuffle. Giving a nuzzle to Twilight's cheek, she smiled in her sleep. "I love you, Twi. Sleep tight." When Rainbow woke up the next morning, she was shocked to see that Twilight wasn't in the room anymore. She was even more shocked to see she had her jacket on. Getting up, she opened the door to smell pancakes. Twilight was cooking, well attempting to cook. All she could hear was frantic panicking in the kitchen. Opening the door, Twilight was wearing an apron, chef's hat and covered in ln flour from head to hoof. "What are you trying to bake, Twi?" Rainbow said, causing her to turn around and giggle. "Oh, my mare is awake, after an hour of me pestering and you somehow sleeping through it." she said, returning to cook. Rainbow blushed. "Well, I need to go to the Mayor's office to inform work about my wing. Do you need me to get anything?" Twilight shook her head. "Thanks, but no thanks. Just get your snuggly flank back here. Also it's lightly raining so give me your jacket so I can wash it." Dash removed the clothing from her body, striking a pose. "What are you going to do while I'm out?" Twilight shrugged. "Research, what did you expect?" they both shared a laugh. Rainbow sighed. "Twi, there's something I've been meaning to ask you for a while now.." This peaked Twilight's interest. "Oh? What could my amazing marefriend want?" "Just so you know, I won't be mad if you say no." Rainbow responded, causing Twilight to inch forward. Sighing again, she popped the question. "Could I move in with you? Every night I come over, and I leave in the morning I just feel so bad that you're left alone with Spike. And it's like the same for me, well.. kinda, anyways." Twilight stood in shock. She had never considered Rainbow moving in with her. Heck, she never considered that she felt guilty every time she left. "Sure, Dashie. It's time we advance in our relationship." Twilight said, kissing her on the cheek. "Thanks, Twi!" Dash yelled, embracing her in a hug. "I'll be back before you know it!" Rainbow rushed out of the room, a smile on her face. She couldn't be more happier. > 3. Store Bought Appreciation. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stepping outside, Rainbow was greeted with cloudy weather that she couldn't help out with due to the state of her wing. The air smelt bitter, but being a pegasus like herself, you were raised in the bitter smelling air. "First step." she said to herself, looking at the checklist. "Flowers for the beautiful mare, chocolates, and another one of those hoodie since she just loved to wear mine so much." Making her way to the center of town, she could of swore that some of the townsponies were looking at her. Most likely because of the bandaged wing or the messy mane. She was surprised to see no queue for the flower store. Saying hello to Junebug, the mare who owned the store, she purchased a bouquet of red tulips. They sparked a long conversation about flowers and how lovely it was that she was dating for once. Shortly before leaving, she noticed a pony in the shadows. A little odd but odd stuff happens in Ponyville everyday. Moving on to Sugarcube Corner, she was greeted by Pinkie at the main desk. After serving the customer in front of her, she basically jumped for joy. "Rainbow!" Pinkie yelled, almost jumping through the roof. "How's things with you and Twilight?" Dash just chuckled. "Amazing, thanks for asking!" Pinkie noticed the flowers and instantly knew what she was here for! Heart pounding with adrenaline and joy, she pulled out a box of chocolates. Rainbow was starstruck that she even knew her order. Pinkie winked. "The flowers were a dead giveaway." Dash chuckled. "A long time ago I'd be questioning you, Pinkie Pie." Pulling our a small bag, she looked up. "How much for the chocolates?". "She laughed." Dash, we've been best friends for 11 years, I think I can let this one slide!" "Won't the Cakes be mad?" Dash asked, concerned. Pinkie shook her head. "Business in Manehatten. Something about chocolate and cake.. And chocolate cake!" Dash laughed. "Pinkie, never change! Anyways, I gotta go buy some other stuff, see you later!" "Bye, Dashie!" she yelled back, already greeting another customer. As she went to Rarity's store, she wondered and wondered. Finally she came not to Rarity's door, but to a conclusion. Whether society likes it or not, Twilight would be the mare that marries the awesome Rainbow Dash! Then she hit the door. Rarity opened the door to see Rainbow, who she swiftly invited in. "Greetings, Rainbow, how are things between Twilight? You've been part of the gossip circle in my book club for a few days." Rarity asked, resuming her place on the bench to work on another piece. "Yeah, it's amazing! So, do you remember that jacket you made me about 5 months ago?" asked Rainbow, skimming through the clothes on the rack. "Why, yes I do! Such an elegant piece, if I do say so myself!" she said, adjusting her glasses on her muzzle. "Why do you ask?" "I'm going to get one for Twilight, so she'll stop taking mine every night." chuckled Rainbow, turning around to face her friend. "You think you'll be able to do some magic or whatever you do to get another one by the end of the day?" Rarity say there and thought. "Why, yes I do!" Rainbow sighed in relief. "A customer ordered one a while back and cancelled the order out of the blue." "Rarity, you're a godess. How much?" Rainbow asked, hoping the price would be affordable. "Well, its meant to be 15 bits, but a romance emergency is required." Rarity pondered for a good 30 seconds, coming up with a price. "I'll settle for 5 if you can do that?" "Look, you're a lifesaver, Rares." Rainbow said, pulling our 5 bits out of the bag she had and giving them to her friend. She went upstairs to get it and shortly returned, jacket in her magical grasp. "Wow, what a coincidence that it's the same colour as my fur." Rainbow said, chuckling. Rarity laughed. "Yeah, weird how that happens." Putting a hoof over Rainbow's shoulder, she winked. "Now go show Twilight how much you love her!" And with that, she sped out the door, avoiding Rarity's requests to style her mane. She dodged an arrow there, thank Celestia. Trailing back through town, she remembered meeting Twilight for the first time. She knew it was love at first sight. She'd spend weeks, months just trying to impress her. When she got told that she was Princess Celestia's student, she was devastated. Heck, she even thought about moving away. But when Twilight grew wings, she started to glance at Rainbow more often. This boosted her spirits and tried to make eye contact on occasion. One day, she got pulled aside by Twilight and she had to admit, she was terrified of what she was gonna say. But to her surprise, she confessed love instead of anger. Rainbow did the same, and then they went on not as friends, but as lovers. Arriving at the door, she opened it to the warm air of cooked food. She had left with no breakfast and it was sunset, after all. "Dashie!" Twilight yelled, jumping at her and wrapping her limbs around her whole body. "Where have you been all day?" "I've been busy and I have some stuff for you." Dash winked, reaching into the bag. Twilight was jumping for joy at this point. Pulling her hoof out of the bag, she pulled out the chocolates. "For the best mare ever!" she announced, watching the happiness turn into Pinkie Pie crazy. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE WHERE THAT CAME FROM, SPARKY!" She yelled, reaching into her bag of mysteries again. Pulling out a bouquet of roses, she watched Twilight go apsoloutely crazy, despite them being just flowers. "And for my last gift..." Dash announced, sticking her hoof in the bag one more time, this time pulling out a light blue hoodie, identical to her grey one. Twilight was stunned with emotion. She wanted to scream out of pure joy but couldn't, because her scream would most likely reach Canterlot. "Awwww, Dash!" she said, poking her chest. "You're so romantic!" Trying the jacket on, if was the same colour as Rainbow's fur. Dash gave an awkward laugh. "D-do you like it?" She asked, scratching behind her neck. Her response was a huge grin from Twilight and a giant yes. > 4. Moving In To The Castle. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Rainbow, the movers are here!" Twilight shouted, causing Rainbow to fly down the stairs, almost falling on her landing. Luckily, Twilight saved her with magic. Standing in front of her marefriend, they shared a nuzzle and an awkward blush. "Heh, sorry Twilight, guess I'm too excited." She gave her a smile and placed her hoof on Rainbow's muzzle. "Don't apologise, Dashie, just kiss me." Rainbow gave a grin and gave a slow kiss, before parting for air, then proceeding to move to the big, towering castle doors (which were admittedly less terrifying than outside). Opening the door, the stallions who brought the boxes from Rainbow's were flying away, probably to get on with some other work. Rainbow grabbed a box and Twilight used her magic to grab the rest of them. "Wow, you don't have a lot of stuff." "You expected more than 3 boxes?" "No, No! I just expected a bit more from you, that's all!" Rainbow facehoofed. "I've lived alone longer than you've been in Ponyville." Twilight blushed. "I know but- YOU PLAY THE GUITAR?" Rainbow flew as fast as she could up the stairs, getting about halfway before being pulled back down and landing on her back, facing the ceiling. Laughing nervously, Rainbow got up slowly. ".. Maybe? I forgot I had the thing, to be fair, Twilight. But I think I can still play some basic stuff.." Twilight had the biggest grin in Equestria. "Honestly, can you get better?!" She jumped into Rainbow's hooves and made them both fall to the floor. Rainbow got up for a second time, smiling. "I know you wanna be snuggly and stuff, but we gotta move my stuff to wherever it needs to go." "Right. Let's head up to my room and see what needs to be unpacked." Twilight levitated all of the boxes in her aura and started heading up the stairs. Rainbow felt bad for having her marefriend doing all the work, even if it was with magic, and even though she WAS an Alicorn. So, she did a little pounce and grabbed a box out of her aura and grinned. Twilight looked back and rolled her eyes with a little smile forming on her muzzle. When they got to the bedroom, they placed the boxes full of stuff and Rainbow went to presumably, take a shower. "Call me if you need help, babe!" Twilight didn't take her eyes off the box, but she could tell that she was blushing hard. Unpacking one box revealed Rainbow's family photos, wedding photos and a half ruined photo of her, presumably when she was about 7 or 8. She wanted to scream because Rainbow looked so darn cute. Next was her gala dress, and by the looks of it, she had only wore it about one other time asides from the gala itself. The next box contained some very erotic magazines and some other stuff. Twilight blushed at the sight and placed them back in the box, placing them under the bed, where they belonged. The other boxes contained some clothes and other stuff that weren't interesting to her. At that moment, Rainbow opened the door and stepped out the bathroom. Her mane, coat and feathers were all messed up and she didn't seem bothered by it. But Twilight was, and she was going to sort it out before they went to bed. Rainbow sat on the bed and helped unbox the final box while Twilight was looking over some other stuff in the one she had. When she opened her box, there was something that she'd hoped that the movers wouldn't pack. And now that they did pack it, she wouldn't hear the end of it. "What is it, babe?" Twilight was about to look but stopped at the sight of Rainbow. Her slightly open mouth, spread wings and huge blush said it all as to what's in the box. Without saying a word, Rainbow grabbed the top and put it back on. Then, while still being silent, put the box under the bed. Twilight laughed and continued unpacking the final box. In it was a picture of Rainbow's father. The image was signed by somepony, the writing was smudged so that pony was clearly shrowded in mystery for the time being. Next to him was a figure that Rainbow knows very clearly as her uncle in Manehatten. He was holding some kind of trophy in his magical aura. "Dashie, how is this stallion holding something in an aura?" Twilight was very confused, Rainbow however knew that answer. "Oh, that's easy." She chuckled. "See, my uncle is a retired explorer, and he found this amulet which could make you levitate just like a unicorn, no matter the species." "You mean the Amulet of Telepathy?" Twilight's face was in awe at such an ancient artifact being in Rainbow's family line. "But how?" "He just found it hanging from a tree." Rainbow's answer was simple, but left more questions than answers. "But how?" Rainbow shrugged. "He found it before I was born. He died when I was about 17, so I never really got a chance to ask him about it." Twilight teleported next to her marefriend and gave her the biggest hug of her life. Rainbow rested her chin on Twilight's mane. "Wanna go to the library? I have the new Daring Do book in stick, and I couldn't think of anypony else to spend my night with." Rainbow smiled. "Definitely. Can't think of anypony else. And I thought the new one wasn't about to come out until next month." Twilight chuckled. "I'm a princess, and I basically live in a library. What'd you expect?" Rainbow released from the hug and shrugged. "Nothing much. Race to the library as normal?" Twilight shook her head. "I'm pretty beat out myself, so let's just walk slow and enjoy it. We rush too much." Rainbow wanted to have a race, but I guess that would have to wait until Heart's Warming or something like that, since the holiday was so close.
