Prologue: I Never Wanted This







(Danny's Point of View)


Have you ever wondered what it's like to wake up from a nightmare, knowing that your mom and dad would be there to help you out from what you experienced in your sleep. Well, I did. Or at least I used to. My name is Danny. Danny Philips. I was a happy young boy in Bend, Oregon, one of the top ten friendliest places in the United States of America. I had a lot of friends there, and I loved being around with them.

But all of that changed one day. I was waiting for my mom and dad to pick me up from school, but I waited hours. I was wondering what was taking so long, until a car from Social Services pulled up, along with a couple police cars. The man from Social Services told me that my parents had been killed in a car crash, due to a reckless driver crashing into the car my parents were in.

The guy from Social Services asked me if I had any family besides my parents. I said that only my aunt and uncle are left. But when I tried telling them that my aunt and uncle weren't really nice to my parents and me, the man from Social Services wouldn't listen. I was then on a flight from Redmond, Oregon to Memphis, Tennessee. Now, you see that moving to Tennessee would be good and growing up in the same town as famous football left tackler, Michael Oher, would be a good thing. But it's not when you're staying in Hurt Village and not being able to leave the property because your mean aunt and uncle won't let you.

I was hoping that my aunt and uncle would at least send me to school, but my aunt Natasha and my uncle Reginald were wanting me to be home schooled by their own special way. They made me clean up the entire house whenever there was a mess. Sometimes, my uncle Reginald makes a mess and blames it on me. I wasn't happy here. I wanted to get out of there. So, one night, I planned on running away late one night, but I was instantly caught by my aunt Natasha, and slapped me hard in the face and she made me sleep in the cold basement with no pillow or blanket. And to make things worse, I was locked in my room that can only be unlocked from the outside, and they put bars over my windows so I wouldn't get out again.

My mom and dad would never do this to me. I wish I could be with them one last time. But, I'm stuck here. Today is even worse. My aunt and uncle had a tall fence with barbed wire over it so I wouldn't be able to get out. When they go out, I was locked in the gate, and I was forced to mow the lawn while they were out. This wasn't fair. Why did I deserve this? I was really tired, and really thirsty. The water bill wasn't payed for, and my parents fed me nothing but meat ever since I got there. My parents taught me to eat my vegetables to stay healthy, but I was getting tired of meat. When I was halfway done with mowing the lawn, I was exhausted. I was really tired. But then, I just spaced out.





I was hit by a single drop of water which landed on my nose. I don't know how long I was knocked out, but I was at least  getting some water for my dehydration. I opened my eyes to see that it was dark out and a storm was going. I didn't believe it, because Memphis was in the middle of a drought. Then I just noticed, I was somewhere high up and saw a village below me. I was really high up. I then had an itch on my nose and I raised my hand to my nose to itch, but something hard impacted my face.

I was confused at first, my hand usually wasn't that hard. But when I took a look at it, instead of my hand, I saw a light teal blue hoof where my hand should be. I was confused, but I looked up it towards my body, and saw that my entire body was covered in fur. I looked around and saw that, sprouting from my backside was a tail. It was still blonde, but there were two blue streaks going through it. I also noticed that I had wings on my back.

I was confused. I was some kind of small horse for some reason. I don't know how I ended up here, or how I became this, but I knew one thing, I was alone up here with no way down. And then I just realized something. This has got to be some sort of dream. So, I tried to flap the little wings I had, but no way they were picking me off the ground. And then I just realized, the ground I was standing on wasn't really ground at all. I was standing on top of a cloud. I thought it was weird. I usually didn't dream like this before, but this is a dream after all.

"Okay," I told myself. "Focus, Danny. Focus." I could feel my wings flapping but not getting off this cloud. But then I was almost hit by a bolt of lightning. "WHOA!!" I shouted. I then looked up at the clouds. I then put one of the hooves I had to my chest and said, "Whoa. That was close. Good thing this isn't real, or else I could've gotten seriously hurt." Then I was struck by lightning. "OW!!" That really hurt. But then I just realized something. That hurt? How could it have...

I then did a quick test to make sure. If this wasn't a dream, I had to make sure. But I didn't have fingers to pinch myself. So I did the next best thing. I had to bite myself. And it really hurt.

"OW!" I shouted. And then I came to a conclusion. This wasn't a dream at all. I was a little winged horse on a cloud, high high up, and I was close to a storm. I then did the logical thing to do. I cried out for help. "Help! Help! Someone get me down from here!" But then another bolt of lightning almost hit me. This time, a small part of the cloud I was on was gone. Basically, there was two-thirds left of it. "Uh oh. HELP!! Someone help me!" But then another bolt took out another third, and I almost fell off the cloud. I was hanging off what was left of the cloud. I couldn't hang onto it forever. But then the lightning bolt hit my left hoof. "OW!!" It really hurt. Now, I was hanging off the small cloud by my right hoof.

I was going to fall and die as a small horse. I was hanging onto for dear life, and I was going to die soon. Nobody was around to help me. I wasn't going to live my life anymore. If things weren't bad enough, the lightning bolt destroyed the last part of the cloud, and I fell, screaming. This was it for me.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!" I screamed. I thought my life ended, but something caught me. Something soft.

"I gotcha!" said a raspy girl voice. I looked up, and saw another horse, bigger than me. She had cyan blue fur and magenta colored eyes. I looked up at her mane, and saw that it was the color of a rainbow. "You really shouldn't be up in the clouds on a stormy night. Especially tonight."

"Wh-what?" I asked, confusedly.

She then set me down, and grabbed my left hoof. She then said, "Boy, that doesn't look good. I better getcha to the hospital. Hang on, I'll have you there in 10 seconds flat." She then picked me up, and she flew me to a hospital.





I was brought to the hospital. A nice, white horse was putting some bandages where I was struck by lightning. Although, I was to stay over night. Although, that one horse with the rainbow mane came up to me and she wanted me to ask me some questions.

"Alright, kid," she said to me. "What were you doing up there in the middle of a storm anyhow? Were ya trying to get yourself seriously hurt."

"I... I don't know how I got up there," I said. "In fact, I wasn't like this before."

"Whatcha talkin' 'bout?" she asked.

"I... I was a completely different species before I ended up like this," I said to her. "Oh, you probably wouldn't believe me even if I told you the truth."

"Now, what makes you think that?" she asked. "C'mon, what makes you think I wouldn't believe you?"

"Because I was actually born a human," I told her. I looked towards her and she was giving me a confused look.

"A human?" she asked. "I have never heard of humans before. But, perhaps Twilight has. How about tomorrow, I take you to her and perhaps we'll get to the bottom of this?"

"Okay," I said. I then yawned, rubbing my eye with a hoof. "I'm really tired anyway. Maybe..."

"Get some sleep, kid," she told me. "I'll see you tomorrow."

She seems like a nice horse. I really hope I wake up a human again. Although, it might be better off if I was here than with my aunt and uncle.

Chapter 1: Getting Answers







(Rainbow Dash's Point of View)


I decided to get up early today, which mean I had to get to bed as soon as I got home. That kid sure needs some help. So, I went to the hospital as early as I can. 8:30 AM to be exact. I just arrived at the hospital and I saw Nurse Redheart at the front desk, checking on some files.

"Morning, Nurse," I said to her. "Hey, you know that colt I checked in here last night?"

"Oh, yes," Nurse Redheart said to me. "I was just about to say. I looked up on every single medical record for any young colt that could match his description, and so far, he has no records in all of Equestria. It's like he just appeared out of thin air."

"What?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. "Well, that's odd. Well, I'm going to go check up on the colt."

"Good idea," said Nurse Redheart. "I'm going to have to get some medical records started on this young colt."

"Hopefully this won't take forever," I said as we were walking towards the room.





That took forever! It took three hours for Nurse Redheart to give this kid some medical records. I was more confused about this kid's name. Danny? Really? That doesn't really sound like a name. Anyway, Danny was sitting on my back as I was walking towards the Golden Oaks Library to have a talk with Twilight. She's gotta be up already.

I came to the door, and knocked on it. Nopony answered right away, so I knocked again. Then the door opened, and there was Spike.

"Oh, Rainbow Dash?" he asked. "This is unusual for you. Usually, you come in crashing through the window."

"Yeah," I said. "But, today, I thought I would just walk in. Plus, I got something to ask Twilight in private. And it also concerns this colt."

Spike looked on my back and saw Danny sitting on my back. He then said, "Alright. I'll go get her. Make yourself at home."

It would seem that Twilight had her couch out in the middle of the library. I walked up to her, and then I grabbed Danny's scruff by my teeth, and put him onto the couch, and then I sat right next to him.

"Why are we in a library?" Danny asked me.

"Well, if we're going to get some answers, we would have to talk to the prized pupil of Princess Celestia," I said to him. "And she happens to live here. Let's just wait."

I then heard hoofsteps coming down, and I saw Twilight coming down the stairs.

"This better be good, Rainbow Dash," she said to me. "I hope this isn't something that will overgrow your ego."

"Actually," I said. "It's... a little bit... complicated."

Twilight then saw Danny sitting next to me. She then asked, "Oh? Who is this young colt?"

"Okay, Twilight," I said to her, "before I answer, there's one thing we have to know. What do you know about a species known as humans?"

"Humans?" Twilight asked, putting a hoof to her chin. "Hm. That's a peculiar question. Well, I heard rumors of a weird ape like species, but I haven't gotten the full detail. Why do you ask?"

"Well, this young colt claims to be a human trapped in the body of a pony," I told her.

"C'mon, Rainbow Dash," she said annoyed. "That isn't funny."

"Hey," I said, angrily. "I didn't make that up. He claimed it, not me."

"It's true," Danny said. "I'm really a human trapped in a body of a... Wait, did you say pony?"

"Okay," said Twilight. "How much is Rainbow Dash paying you? Because you might as well be payed now."

"I'm not making this up!" Danny argued.

Twilight sighed and said, "Alright fine. I'll scan you to see if you're telling the truth or not. If I sense that there's some alteration to your DNA, I should be able to detect it." She started lighting up her horn and pointed it at her. "But, I'm telling you, nopony is... going... to..." She stopped when she said that, but then she gave off a confused face, which slowly went to one of shock. "It can't be..."

"What is it?" I asked.

"I do detect some alteration to his DNA," Twilight said. "But... But I thought humans were just myths."

"Wait wait wait," I said, shaking my hooves. "You're saying... that Danny here... is really a human trapped in a pony's body?"

"I think so," Twilight said. "But, I can't be sure yet. I have to tell Princess Celestia about this. Oh, man. I might as well be more famous than Celestia for detecting a human in pony's clothing! This is so exciting!"

"Easy, Twilight," I said. "You're getting over excited and cocky. Like when you and the other girls taught me a lesson with the Mare Do Well gimmick."

"Oh, that was in the past, Rainbow Dash," she told me.

"That was literally three days ago," I told her. "Anyway, is there a way to send the kid back? His parents must be worried sick about him."

"Oh! Right, right, right," said Twilight. "I'll get to looking for a spell to send him back."

"No!" Danny said. Twilight and I looked towards him with a raised eyebrow.

"C'mon, kid," I told him. "Your parents must be really worried about you."

"They would be..." Danny said. But then he started shedding some tears. "...if they were still alive."

That made me and Twilight gasp. I then asked, "Your parents are dead? But, don't you have any other family?"

"I do," I said. "My aunt and uncle, but, they aren't really that nice." He then started giving off some short sobs. I pulled him in with a wing hug.

"It's okay, kid," said Rainbow Dash. "What makes you say that your aunt and uncle aren't that nice?"

"Ever since my parents died, I was sent to go live with them in Memphis, Tennessee," Danny said. "But, the village there where they lived had a reputation. It was known as Hurt Village. A place where people are either physically or mentally hurt. Not an appropriate place for a kid like me to be sent to."

"Sounds like it," said Twilight. "But, you seem too sweet to be sent to a place like that. Why didn't you just run away?"

"I tried once," Danny said. "But, my aunt Natasha caught me, and locked me in the basement without a blanket and pillow, and then she and my uncle Reginald made sure I would never escape again."

"Those good for nothin'..." I grumbled. I then said, "If that's how they treat family, then what makes them really qualified to watch you?"

"I agree," Twilight said. "I'm going to write a letter to the princess and tell her about you. Rainbow Dash, why don't you take Danny here on a tour of Ponyville while I have Spike send a letter to Princess Celestia." She then called up the stairs, "Spike! I need you to take a letter to the Princess!"

Then Spike came down the stairs with a quill and piece of parchment. But he was also wearing the fedora and cape of Mare Do Well. Twilight and I deadpanned at him. I then asked, "Really, Spike?"

He then realized what he was wearing and took it off quickly, and grinned sheepishly. He then said, "Sorry. I couldn't resist."

"Alright, Spike," Twilight said. "Write down what I say."

I decided to take Danny out of there. I decided to take him on a tour of Ponyville. Hopefully, a complete change of scenery will lift his spirits.





Well, I basically showed him around all of Ponyville. First, I took him to Sweet Apple Acres. Applejack totally believe Danny when he told her his story. Mostly because she can tell a truth from a lie. So, she decided to come with us and explain to the rest of our friends about the kid's predicament. Then we went to Fluttershy's cottage. She felt bad for how Danny's aunt and uncle treated him, and gave him a big hug. We then headed towards Carousel Boutique. When Rarity was told about Danny's story, she felt bad for him. So, we went to one last place, and probably a sweet snack would basically cheer him up. And possibly, the pony that makes everypony happy.

"Hi! Welcome to Sugarcube Corner!" came Pinkie Pie's voice. "Oh, hi, girls!" She then came up to them and said, "What brings you four here?"

"Well, Pinkie," I said. "We've got something to tell you." I then pulled out Danny with my right wing.

She then got in Danny's face and said, "Oooooh! A new pony in town! Are his parents here as well?"

I swore I could see a tear come out of his eye. I then said, "Actually, about that. He's..."

"He was actually born a completely different species on another world who has been abused my his aunt and uncle after a tragic event killed his real parents but his awful aunt and uncle tried making him do some harsh things and he ended up here as a pegasus colt and you found him and you and Twilight found out about his past, and he really needs some love and care from others in this world so he can never want that bad life ever, ever, ever again." I couldn't believe she said that all in one breath, and I don't know how she knew all that.

"Uh... exactly," I said. "How did you...?"

"Just a hunch," Pinkie said, grinning. But quickly, her smile went to a frown, and her mane went from curly to flat. "Oh. Oh, that's so sad!" She then picked up Danny and give him a great big hug. "I'm so sorry for you! It must've been so awful losing your parents and being sent to live with those meanies you have for an aunt and uncle. You know what? You need a major party for you to get over all the pain you have received."

"But where are we going to hold the party?" I asked her.

"Well, Ah guess we can have the party over at Sweet Apple Acres," Applejack suggested. "Of course, Ah would have to get permission from Granny Smith first."

"Good idea!" said Pinkie Pie. She then looked over at Danny. "And I'll invite everypony in Ponyville and make sure that everypony will be nice to you after they hear what you've been through."

Danny was a little unsure about it, but then his frown went to a small smile. He then nodded but then he tried walking, but landed on his chin. "Ow!" he said.

"Oh, right," I said. "He's been used to walking on two legs. But now that's he's walking on all fours..."

"His center of balance is totally different," Rarity said. "I can understand that." She then lifted Danny onto his hooves, and told him, "Now, try to keep on all four of your new hooves."

Danny was having trouble, but he was getting his balance.

"Now, try taking one step with one of your forehooves," said Fluttershy. He did as she said, using his right forehoof. "Now move your left hind leg." He then. "Now switch it up."

He then started walking. He was doing good, but he fell once.

"Ow!" Danny said. I then picked him up and got him back on his hooves. "Thank you." But then his eyes widened and he sat down, squeezing his haunches together. "Uh... where's the bathroom?"

"On it!" said Pinkie Pie, grabbing Danny by his scruff and rushing him towards the bathroom. I looked up the stairs, feeling sad for Danny. He didn't deserve what his awful aunt and uncle did to him.

"Ah know that look," Applejack said to me. "You're thinkin' of wantin' ta take care of him, aren'tcha?"

"Wh-what?" I asked, rubbing the back of my head. "Why would you...?"

"Rainbow," Applejack said, "Ah understand. Ya found him, ya took him to the hospital, ya feel bad for him. You should be the one to take care of him."

"I agree, darling," said Rarity. "You really seem to care for him a lot."

"But..." I said. "But I have no idea how to take care of a colt. I don't even have any siblings in my family."

"I know you don't have any siblings," said Fluttershy, "but you would never give up on somepony in need. And right now, I believe that Danny needs you."

I looked up the stairs, but then I smiled and said, "Yeah. I guess you're right. But, what if I get into the Wonderbolts? I might not have time for him."

"I'm sure that one of us will be willing to watch him while you're doing that," said Rarity. "That is... "if" you get into the Wonderbolts. Right now, Danny needs you to watch over him."

"I... I guess I can't argue with you there," I said.

"Rainbow Dash!" came Twilight's voice. We looked towards the door and saw Twilight and Spike coming in through the door. Twilight was out of breath. "We got... a reply... from the princess..." She then levitated a letter from Princess Celestia. I took it in my right wing and started reading it. It read:

Dear Twilight Sparkle,

I have taken in what you wrote to me about this strange predicament, and it just might have something to do with what Luna was doing last night. I have talked to her, and she has heard this boy's cry for a better life and she has brought him to this world, but the spell she did came with a price. For him to come to our world, he would have to be transformed into a creature that exists in our world.

If Rainbow Dash is the one to find this boy, I just hope that she will do whatever it takes to take care of him, even though he has lost his loved ones. My sister and I will be arriving in Ponyville, later tonight to meet this human boy turned colt, and make him feel welcome to Equestria.

Princess Celestia

I couldn't believe what I was reading. So it was Princess Luna that brought Danny here? This is really messed up. But, she did it to save Danny from his awful aunt and uncle. Danny really is a good kid, and needs to be taken in. Guess I have to be the pony to take him in. He really needs all the help he can get.

Then Pinkie Pie came down with Danny on her back and said, "Alright, Dashie. I'm gonna get started on that party of Danny here."

"Alright," said Applejack. "I'll let Granny Smith know about the party, and I'll make sure she'll give permission for us to have the party there."

"Good idea!" said Pinkie Pie. "Let's go there and talk to Granny Smith first." Before she and Applejack left, she took Danny off of her back, and set him right in front of me. "See you all later."

Then Pinkie Pie and Applejack headed out of there. I just hope that Danny will be happy here.

(Danny's Point of View)


Rainbow Dash has been taking me around Ponyville. I still couldn't believe that I came here and became a pony. And according to Twilight, I was brought here by one of the princesses of this world so I might be happy again. I'm still unsure about all of this, but I hope that this Princess Luna is right in bringing me here. I really don't want to go back to my aunt and uncle.

"Hey! Rainbow Dash!" came a voice. Rainbow and I looked to our rights and saw three small girl ponies running up to us. The orange pony with the purple mane asked, "What are you up to, today?"

"Well, I've been quite busy," Rainbow Dash said. "Showing this guy around."

The three of them noticed me and smiled at me. The yellow one asked, "Oh, who is this colt?"

"Girls, meet Danny," Rainbow said, introducing me. "He's not really from around here. And by here, I mean the world we're on."

"Wait!" said the white one. "Are you saying that he's from another planet?!"

"That is awesome!" said the orange one. "A pony from another planet! That's the coolest thing that has ever happened here in Ponyville!"

"Well," Rainbow Dash said. "He wasn't really a pony to begin with. He was originally something called a human, and they're the intelligent creatures of their world."

"Seriously!?" asked the girls. Then they pulled me down to their eye level.

"Hi!" said the yellow one. "Ah'm Apple Bloom!"

"I'm Sweetie Belle!" said the white one.

"And I'm Scootaloo!" said the orange one. "And together, we are...

The three of them took in a deep breath and shouted, "THE CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS!!" That was so loud, I had to cover my ears, which weren't in the same place they were before. And I think that my hearing has gotten better with me being a pony now.

"That hurt my ears," I said.

"Oh, sorry 'bout that," said Apple Bloom. Then she noticed something on my side. I looked towards it, and all I could see is one of the wings I had. "Oh, my gosh!"

"What? What is it?" I asked.

"You don't have a Cutie Mark!" said Apple Bloom. "Wanna join our club?"

I was confused at that, looked towards Rainbow Dash and asked, "What's a Cutie Mark?"

"A Cutie Mark is a special mark that appears on our flanks when we find out our special talents," Rainbow Dash said. "As you can see, I have mine right here. This mark represents my love for racing and going fast. And as you can see, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo don't have theirs yet."

I looked towards Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo, and they showed me their flanks, which didn't have a mark at all.

"These three are trying hard to earn their marks and find their special talents," Rainbow Dash said. "Perhaps you should be in their club, just for fun. But don't do anything dangerous."

"Do I have to?" I asked. Then I was pulled in by a yellow hoof.

"Don't worry 'bout it, Danny," said Apple Bloom. "You'll be in safe hooves when we're around."

"Come on," said Sweetie Belle. "You'll have tons of fun with us."

"You could have a lot of fun with us," said Scootaloo."C'mon. Let's go have some fun."

I wasn't sure if I should go with them. I turned my head towards Rainbow Dash and she said, "You'll be fine. Just don't do anything crazy dangerous, and have him at Sweet Apple Acres by tonight."

"Why is that?" Apple Bloom asked.

"What did I just say about him when introducing to him?" Rainbow Dash asked.

They stopped and thought about, and then they realized. Sweetie Belle said, "Oh, that's right. He's new here, and Pinkie Pie must be setting up a 'Welcome to Ponyville Party' for him." She then leaned in towards me and said, "She does that for every new pony in town."

"And we're going to be having the party at Sweet Apple Acres?!" Apple Bloom asked. "Sure. We'll have him there by tonight." Then Scootaloo ran off to head somewhere.

"Where's she going?" I asked.

"She's probably running off to get her scooter and the wagon attached to it," said Apple Bloom. "It's how we get around fast."

"Oh," I said. "You girls have helmets, right?"

"Of course we do," said Sweetie Belle. "But, we don't have a spare one for you."

"Hang on," said Rainbow Dash. She then pulled out some gold coins and said, "Head on to a store and get him a helmet before you go speeding on that."

"Good call," said Apple Bloom. Sweetie Belle used some weird green energy to pick up the bits from Rainbow Dash. I was surprised on how she was doing that.

"How are you doing that?" I asked.

"Huh?" Sweetie Belle asked. "Doing what?"

"That thing with your horn," I said.

"Oh," she said in realization. "Right, you probably don't know about us ponies and what we can do. We can talk after we get you a helmet."

I nodded and then Rainbow Dash started flying and said, "Well, I've got to go check on things. I'll see you kids at Sweet Apple Acres tonight. See ya."

Then Rainbow Dash took off.





I was sitting on the wagon between Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle while Scootaloo was using her scooter to pull the wagon. Apple Bloom was wearing a blue helmet, Sweetie Belle was wearing a light green helmet, and Scootaloo had a purple helmet with two white stripes going down the middle. The helmet I got was red with two blue arrows pointing towards the front.

"So, about that light from that horn," I said to Sweetie Belle.

"Oh, right," Sweetie Belle said. "Well, you see, all ponies have magic of their own. Unicorns can use their magic to lift things, even do a few spells. My magic isn't really that strong, but I'm getting better."

"And earth ponies have magic that increases their own strength and endurance," said Apple Bloom. "Ya get a lot more when you work on a farm like mah family."

"And what does pegasus magic do?" I asked. I had no idea when I wasn't born a pony. Let alone a pegasus.

"Well, according to Scootaloo," said Sweetie Belle, "pegasi magic allows them to fly and... something else. What was it?"

"We're able to walk on clouds!" said Scootaloo through the wind.

"Oh, that's it," said Sweetie Belle.

Then I realized something and said, "That explains why I was on that cloud when I woke up like this, and not fall through."

"You woke up on a cloud?" asked Sweetie Belle.

"I was up about 200 feet in the sky," I said. "And I was right under a storm."

"Oooh," said Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle.

"That's a bad place for somepony to be while under a storm," said Scootaloo. "And being a different species, I bet you can't fly yet."

"No," I said. "I thought it was a dream at first, but when the lightning hit me on my stomach and felt pain, that idea just vanished."

"Yeah, I can understand that," said Scootaloo. "How about we get a snack?"

We stopped back at Sugarcube Corner for a snack. We went inside and saw a blue pony with a pink mane at the desk.

"Oh, hello there, dearies," said the mare. "Oh, and who is this young colt you have here?"

"Mrs. Cake, meet Danny," said Apple Bloom. "He's new to Ponyville."

"Well, it's a pleasure to meetcha, Danny," said the mare. "I'm Cup Cake. You can call me Mrs. Cake. What brings you four here?"

"We're here to get a snack," said Scootaloo.

"Alright, there," said Mrs. Cake. "What will it be?"

I thought about it. I then saw some doughnuts. I then asked, "Can I have a doughnut? A chocolate bar to be exact."

"Sure, dearie," said Mrs. Cake. "What about you girls?"

"I'll have a maple bar," said Sweetie Belle.

"I'll take an Apple Fritter," said Apple Bloom.

"And I'll have a glazed doughnut," said Scootaloo.

"What about some drinks?" Mrs. Cake asked.

"Milkshakes," said Scootaloo. "You like milkshakes, right?"

"Yep," I said. "Chocolate is my favorite."

"Alright," said Scootaloo. "Four milkshakes. Two chocolate, one vanilla, and one strawberry."

"Alright," said Mrs. Cake. "That'll be twelve bits."

Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo pulled their allowances, and even payed for my order. We then sat down at a table, waiting for our orders to come. We were waiting for them, but then two fillies came in. Both of them were Earth Ponies. One of them was pink with a light purple mane with a white stripe and a tiara in her mane. She also had a tiara for a Cutie Mark. The other one was gray with a silver braided mane with light blue glasses and a light blue pearl necklace, and her Cutie Mark was of a spoon of some kind.

"Oh, look, Silver Spoon," said the pink one in one of those mean tones. "If it isn't the blank flanked losers."

"They are so pathetic," said the silver one.

"What do you two want?" asked Apple Bloom.

"You blank flanks don't get to ask us with that kind of attitude," said the pink one. Then she noticed me. "Oh, look. You finally got a new loser to join with you. Keep on trying with your pointless quest because there's nothing you blank flanks will ever be good at. That goes for you as well, new colt."

What she was saying was hurting me emotionally. This is worse than the things my aunt and uncle said to me. But the girls sitting by me had my back.

"Don't you dare talk down to Danny like that," said Scootaloo. "He's had been abused by his aunt and uncle who treated him more like a slave than family."

"Ha!" laughed Diamond Tiara. "You expect me to believe a pathetic lie like that?! You better not get in my way!" She looked at me angrily. "Or else you're gonna be hurting a lot more than what you want me to think you've been through!"

Then Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon walked away from us. I was really upset of what those two said. But then I felt three pairs of hooves wrapping around me. I looked at the three girls who were trying to get me feeling better.

"It's okay, buddy," said Scootaloo. "You'll never be treated like that. Besides, you're not with your aunt and uncle anymore."

"Yeah," said Apple Bloom. "If I had some relatives that treated my like your aunt and uncle did, I would've reported it to someone who would save kids from abusive family members."

"You deserve only the best," said Sweetie Belle.

Then Mrs. Cake came in with our orders, and we started eating. Well, I started with the milkshake I had. When I saw Apple Bloom holding her Apple Fritter with her hoof, I got confused on how she was able to grip it. Then I looked at Scootaloo, eating her doughnut, and gripping it with her hoof. I then asked, "How are you two holding those with your hooves?"

"What do you mean?" Scootaloo asked.

"Well, when I was human, I had hands and fingers to grab things," I said. "It was a lot easier. My fingers were like that Spike's dragon's claws. Except I had five fingers instead of four."

"Ah, Ah get it," said Apple Bloom. "The fingers ya had made it easier to grab things. Guess having hooves might make it a challenge for ya."

"Yeah," I said.

"Well, let me help you with that," said Scootaloo. She then grabbed my hoof, and pulled it over my doughnut.

"Now, imagine grabbing the doughnut with those fingers you had, and try grabbing yer doughnut," said Apple Bloom.

I was imagining grabbing my doughnut. I had my eyes closed, and I flexed and said, "Okay, I'm grabbing it."

"Now imagine pulling the doughnut up to your mouth and eat it," said Scootaloo.

I imagined pulling the doughnut and bringing it to my, slightly bigger mouth, and I took a bite out of my doughnut. And the weirdest this is, I actually tasted it. I then opened my eyes, and saw that I was actually holding the doughnut with my hoof.

"I'm... I'm holding it..." I said.

"You actually are," said Scootaloo. "Nice job, buddy. Go on and eat up."

I smiled and continued eating my doughnut. At least I would have some good friends as long as I am here. I really don't want to go back to my aunt and uncle. I rather be here and happy than back there and be treated badly.

(Danny's Point of View)


We had a lot of fun today. Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo showed me where their school was, showed me the other places where they hung out, and last but not least, the clubhouse they had for their headquarters. To tell the truth, I've always wanted a treehouse, and my dad was going to have one made. We were able to start it, but my parents died, and it wasn't able to be finished. I miss my parents.

But we were just finishing up in the treehouse, and they were asking me if I wanted to be a Crusader. I said I could be in as long as we do something that's not too dangerous. Now we were heading towards where that pink pony was going to throw a party for me. Apparently, a blindfold was left at the crusaders for me to wear until we arrived at the party. How big was this party going to be? It can't be that big of a party, can it?

The girls were pushing me to somewhere. It's a good thing Sweetie Belle wasn't pushing me with her head. It would hurt if her horn was going up my butt. That would really hurt. And then I was stopped being pushed.

"Are we there yet?" I asked with the blindfold still around me.

"Yes we are," said Apple Bloom. Somepony then took off my blindfold and...

"SURPRISE!!!" shouted a lot of ponies. Most of them were big ponies like Rainbow Dash and Twilight and their friends. I really was surprised by all of this.

Then Pinkie Pie literally bounced up to me and said, "I was wondering when you would get here! Now, let's get this party started!"

All of the ponies here have been so nice. Something that has never happened since I moved from Bend, Oregon to Memphis, Tennessee. I was really enjoying everything there. But then my moment of happiness was then ruined.

"What is that loser doing here?" I heard Diamond Tiara's voice. I turned around to see her and Silver Spoon behind me. "Why would they throw a party for a pathetic loser like you?"

"You don't deserve this, because you are nothing but pathetic," said Silver Spoon.

"H-Hey," I said. "I'm n-not..." I couldn't help but start crying. These two are like my mean aunt and uncle.

"Oh, look," said Diamond Tiara. "He's crying. He's making himself more and more pathetic by the moment." Then she and Silver Spoon started laughing at me.

"Ah-hem!" came a voice from behind them. The three of us looked towards where the voice was coming from. Flying sightly off the ground was Rainbow Dash with her front hooves crossed, giving the two fillies a glare. "You leave Danny alone. He's had enough abuse from his aunt and uncle back at his place. He was brought here to avoid mean behavior like this."

"You believe his lies?!" Diamond Tiara asked in a snobbish tone. "That is just pathetic, even for you."

"Well, I believe him because he's not lying," Rainbow Dash said. She then landed right next to me and picked me up and put me on her back. "Now will you excuse me, I have to keep Danny with me until the princesses arrive."

"No way the princesses are coming here to that pathetic pony's party," said Diamond Tiara.

"He's not really all that special," said Silver Spoon.

"You're wrong," said Rainbow Dash. "Danny here is more special than you think." She then carried me over to her friends, and that dragon known as Spike.

"Well, are you enjoying the party?" asked Pinkie Pie.

"I was starting to..." I said. "But then those two fillies over there tried breaking my spirit."

"We'll make sure that they won't mess with ya anymore," said Applejack. "How about we get ya something sweet to munch on?"

Applejack walked over to a tree, and bucked it. Then a single apple fell off the tree and landed in her hoof. She then handed it to me. Or is it hoofed? Anyway, I took it, and started eating it. This was the sweetest apple I have ever tasted.

"Wow," I said with a small mouth full. "This is actually pretty good. I've had apples back home, but they weren't as good as this."

"I sure hope you'll enjoy Equestria," said Twilight. "Oh, look. Here come the princesses!"

Then up in the sky came two larger ponies. One of them was white and the other was dark blue. Both of them clearly had both wings and a horn, and their manes were moving in a non-existent breeze. The white one had a mane that has two shades of blue, a shade of green, and a shade of pink. She was wearing a gold crown, with a purple gem, a golden necklace with a purple gem, and four horseshoes. Her Cutie Mark was of an orange sun.

The dark blue pony has a mane that's like the night sky. She had a black crown, a black necklace with a white crescent moon, and silver horse shoes. And her Cutie Mark was of a black splotch with a white crescent moon. I was amazed. Those ponies must be the princesses. Then they landed right near the group. Everypony around me was bowing to them. I then tried following their bowing position, but I was stopped.

"You don't have to bow to us, Daniel," said one of them. "We are here to see you personally." I looked up and saw the white one looking down at me. "So, you are the one my sister has brought here."

"Uhh... Uhh... Uhh..." I was speechless on what to say to her.

"Speechless, I see," she said to me. "A lot of ponies your age are like that. How old are you, anyway?"

"S-S-Six," I said.

"A child as young as you shouldn't have to be suffered," said the blue one. "You're lucky I found you and brought you here before your aunt and uncle could do something even more harsher to you."

"Y-you brought me here?" I asked.

"Indeed," she said to me. "I've heard your tearful cries when you were sleeping, and I've been watching you for the last week. I know you mourn for your parents, and your tears of pain are due to the pain your aunt and uncle put on you."

"WAIT!" came Diamond Tiara's voice. "You mean all that talk about him being abused by his aunt and uncle are true?! You've got to be kidding me!"

"There's also more to his story that most of you don't know about," said the blue winged unicorn. I was about to ask them who they were but Twilight stopped me before I could.

"Danny, meet Princesses Celestia and Luna," she said to me.

"Oh," I said. "Well, I guess I can see why she's named Luna."

"Indeed," said Princess Luna. "I am the princess of the night. I am able to come into your dreams and prevent nightmares. Anyways, I am here to show these ponies why I have brought you here."

Then her horn started glowing, and a huge screen appeared over the barn, making everypony look. I was amazed, because the first thing on the screen was... me. Me as a human.

"What is that?" Rainbow asked.

"That's... that's me," I said. "That's what I was before I came here. When I was a human."

"I told you all humans existed!" came a voice. We all looked towards the crowd of ponies and saw a mint green unicorn a grayish, light blue mane with white highlights. She also had some kind of harp for a Cutie Mark. She was excited about something, and pointing at everypony, saying, "I told you! I told you! I told everypony that humans existed, and you all didn't believe me!"

I was kinda scared of that pony. She's freaking me out.

"Anyway," said Princess Luna. "Daniel, I believe that you should tell your story to all these ponies. They deserve to know how you came to be."

"Okay," I said. I took in a deep breath and started telling my story, while Luna was projecting it.






(Rainbow Dash's Point of View)


I couldn't believe it. Danny was living a good life with his parents in a city called Bend, Oregon. He looked like he was having a good time there. But then those good times came to an end when his parents were killed do to some reckless guy. Now I feel bad for all the reckless things I've done in the past. But Danny was taking more pain than usual. He was sent to live with his abusive aunt and uncle about halfway across the country.

His aunt and uncle have kept him from getting a good education, took away his toys and games and some weird devices that he connects to his ears, and makes him clean up the entire house, even making more messes to make Danny's life even more miserable. I couldn't believe it. No wonder he never wanted to go back to them again.

"And that's my story," said Danny.

"We are deeply sorry for your parents, Daniel," said Princess Celestia. "I hope you will be better off here than in those awful hands of your terrible aunt and uncle."

"Thank you," Danny said. "I appreciate it."

"Kid," I walked up to him. "You deserve the best of the best to watch over you."

"I guess so," Danny said.

"But there is one question that needs to be answered," said Princess Celestia. "Since Ponyville is lacking an orphanage, for some reason, somepony cut the funding to keep the orphanage open, I should let somepony here in Ponyville watch over young Daniel."

"Oh, oh, oh!" said that lime green mare, known as Lyra Heartstrings. "I'll do it! I'll do it!"

I can tell that Danny is freaking out about the fact that Lyra Heartstrings is wanting to take care of him. But I got a feeling that she wants him more like a pet than an intelligent creature.

"I was thinking more of being watched by my student or one of her five friends," said Princess Celestia.

"It's probably for the best," said Princess Luna.

"Aww," said Lyra Heartstrings. "But I really wanted to learn more about humans!" Then the tan earth pony with a pink and blue mane walked up to her and grabbed her. That mare was Bon Bon.

"C'mon, Lyra," said Bon Bon. "Let's let the kid stay with somepony who he'll be better off with."

Then my friends and I grouped up to make a decision. I then asked, "Alright. Who is the kid going to stay with?"

"Well," said Twilight, "perhaps Danny should decide which one of us to stay with. If we have any room for him. I can't because I have a lot of things to do in the library."

"Well, he can't stay over at my home," said Rarity. "I have so much things to get caught up on, and watching Sweetie Belle takes a toll on this fashionista. I can't watch over two little foals under the same roof for months."

"Well, I wouldn't mind watching over him," said Fluttershy. "Although, I'm not sure that my animals will appreciate his company. Especially Angel."

"Ah guess he could stay over at the farm," Applejack said. "But, Ah ain't sure that he'll appreciate being woken up earlier than his usual time of awakening."

"Oh! Oh! I can have him stay with me!" said Pinkie Pie. Then she just remembered. "Oh, wait. Mrs. Cake is expecting twins. So, I guess she might not want another mouth to feed around the shop."

"I guess I can make a room for him," I said. "And maybe I can teach him how to fly since he has to get used to being a pegasus."

"But what about getting into the Wonderbolts?" Twilight asked. "You seemed confident to get in."

"Well, even if I do," I said, "I would have to have somepony to watch him while I'm doing that."

"Okay," said Twilight. "So Danny's options of which pony to stay with are Applejack, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. I think he should choose one of the three." We all nodded and looked towards the princesses and Danny. Twilight walked up to them and said to them, "Well, we believe that Danny should choose on which pony he'll stay with. But he has three options. Applejack, Fluttershy, or Rainbow Dash."

We looked towards Danny. Princess Celestia whispered to him, "This is your choice, Daniel. You can choose either Applejack, Fluttershy or Rainbow Dash."

Danny looked at us, wondering who to choose. He was thinking who to choose.

"I guess..." he started. "I guess I'll choose..."

He was thinking hard about it. I wonder what was going through his head.






(Danny's Point of View)


I was thinking hard. I had to choose between Applejack, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. Let's see what I've learned about these three. Applejack's family is a family of farmers. Which means they might get up early. Way too early for me to actually do some fun things, so she's out.

Then I thought about Fluttershy. She lives in a cottage near the dangerous Everfree Forest. But when I wanted to pet her pet bunny, Angel, he actually bit me. I think he has all the animals wanting to go against me, so he might get rid of me like in that movie of Dr. Suess's The Lorax. So, she's out.

Then I thought about Rainbow Dash. Honestly, she has been nice to me. Not only is she loyal, but she also cares for her friends and never backs down from anything. She also helps any pony in need, and I guess she could teach me how to fly. It's decided.

"I'll go with... Rainbow Dash," I answered. I could see that Rainbow Dash smiled at my choice. She then walked over to me and picked me up.

"Don't worry, kid," Rainbow Dash said to me. "I won't let anything bad happen to you."

I then hugged her. That made everypony around us aw at us. Rainbow Dash saw that and quickly put me down.

"Alright, Danny," said Rainbow Dash. "How about I take you back to my place after this party is all over? Let's get you some good eats."

We had spent the rest of the party having fun times, playing games, eating food and dancing. It was a little weird dancing like a pony, but I started getting into it.

When the party ended, Rainbow Dash took me to her place, which was a mansion made of clouds. Rainbow Dash said that she would get started on a new room for me to stay in tomorrow, but I'll have to share her bed with her tonight. She had me wrapped up in her hooves and wings, and she whispered to me, "Good night, Danny."

"Good night... Rainbow... Dash..." I said, nodding off. I fell asleep. It was way better than staying at my aunt and uncle's place.

Chapter 4: Being There to Help







(Rainbow Dash's Point of View)


It was the middle of the night after we came back to my place. Danny needed me to be there for him. But this night, I felt something moving under the same sheets as me. I woke up, and saw Danny, struggling in his sleep. He must be having a nightmare. There was only one thing for me to do, and that's to wake him up.

"Danny," I said, shaking him. "C'mon, Danny. Wake up."

Danny woke up and sat up with a hoof to his chest. He was breathing fast, and he was sweating. He then looked at me with tears in his eyes and then he grabbed my sides and hugged me tight.

"It's okay, Danny," I told him. "It's okay." I then pushed his chin upwards to have him look at me, muzzle to muzzle. "Now, what was your nightmare about?"

"I-I-It was horrible," he said. "I-I-I woke up back on my world... and my aunt and uncle hurt me for slacking off. I blacked out for a bit, and when I came to, I was a pony, being sold for some weird science experiments. They were cutting me up. They were ripping me apart."

I held him tighter and said, "That will never happen. I won't let anything like that happen to you." I could feel tears coming onto my chest. I then asked, "Is something else wrong?"

"I... I miss my mom and dad," Danny said. "I wish they wouldn't have gone away."

"I know, kiddo," I said. "I know." I knew he needed help, so I let him cry into my chest, to get it all out. "Just let it all out. Let it out."

I hugged Danny as he was crying. He needed this. So, I let him have it. I could feel him calm down, and I looked at him and I saw that he cried himself to sleep. Then I curled up with him and fell to sleep myself, hoping that Danny will be alright.





I came to the next morning, and I saw Danny still next to me. This time, he had a smile on his small muzzle. I looked at my clock and saw that it was eight in the morning. I know it's not my usual time to get up, heck it's still too early for me, but I'm gonna have to if Danny here is going to be living with me. Might as well take him out for some breakfast.

I shook him awake and said, "Danny. It's time for you to wake up."

He stirred in his sleep, and he woke up and he looked at me. He smiled and said, "Good morning."

"Morning, kid," I told him. "How about we head out for some breakfast?"

"I would like that," Danny said to me.

"Then let's get up, and head out," I told him. He nodded and... apparently forgot he wasn't human anymore. He tried standing on two hooves, but he lost his balance, and almost fell off the bed. Luckily, my house was made of clouds, so his landing would be soft. I got off the bed and asked, "Are you alright, Danny?"

"I'm fine," Danny said. "Guess I forgot I'm not human anymore."

"Hang on," I told him. Then I grabbed him by his scruff by my mouth, and put him on my back. "Now, let's head out." I then headed out of my room, and went to the front door. I opened the door, walked out, and turned around to close it and locked it. I then headed off to Cafe Hay for some breakfast.





We arrived there and we were sitting at one table. Danny and I were sitting across from each other, looking at the menus we were given. We waited on what to order.

"Rainbow Dash! Danny!" came Twilight's voice. Danny and I looked over to the entrance and saw Twilight and Spike walking over to us.

"Hey, Twilight," I said to her. "What brings you two here?"

"Thought we should eat out this morning," said Twilight. "Plus, I was so focused on my studies, getting to know Danny and the party yesterday, I forgot to get some groceries."

"Twilight is always too busy on her studies," said Spike.

"That's not true!" said Twilight.

"Twilight," I said. "Sometimes, you gotta get yourself out of the library. Take a break from your studies."

"I met someone at my old school in Bend, Oregon that was like you, Twilight," said Danny. "He spent all this time reading and doing his homework, he never goes out and play. So, I went out to find some kids his own age, and get him to play during recess or an hour after school. And in the end, he helps them with their studies."

"Wow," said Twilight. "That was actually a good thing to do. Speaking of school, perhaps next week, he should get started in school."

"Good call," I said. "We saw the form of home school that Danny's aunt and uncle had for him. That wasn't real education at all. After breakfast, we'll head down to the schoolhouse and get you registered."

"I guess you're right, Rainbow Dash," Danny said. "I have missed going to school. I missed my friends back in Bend, Oregon. Although, there is an issue."

"And that is?" Twilight asked.

"Knowing how to write with these hooves," Danny said.

"Okay," said Twilight. "That could be a problem."

"I might be able to help out with teaching him on how to right," came another voice. We looked over and saw Cheerilee walking over to us.

"Hey, Cheerilee," I said.

"And this must be Daniel," said Cheerilee.

"Please," said Danny. "I prefer to go by Danny."

"Alright, then, Danny," said Cheerilee. "I would be happy to teach you how to write as a pony since you aren't used to being one."

"Yeah," said Danny. "You would teach me?"

"Of course I would," said Cheerilee. "Plus, there's a lot of things you'll get to learn when you're here in Equestria. Come by the school and we'll get you all signed up, and you'll start a week from Monday."

"On it," I said to her.

"That'll give him plenty of time for him to settle in," said Twilight. "You're also going to get him some stuff for his room. You are going to make him a room, aren't you, Rainbow Dash?"

"Of course I am," I said. "Danny needs a room for himself. Plus, I'll be close to him whenever he needs me."

"Well, I gotta get going," said Cheerilee. "I'll see you two later today at the schoolhouse."

"See ya," I said. We then looked at our menus.

"Mind if we join you two for breakfast?" Twilight asked.

"Sure," I said. Then the waiter came in with two more chairs for Twilight and Spike to sit at. "So, Danny, you see anything good?"

"I might as well try some of these," said Danny. "Since I'm now a pony, my taste buds must be a lot different than when I was human."

"Yeah, I guess," said Twilight. "Humans eat meat, don't they?"

"Yeah," said Danny. "But pony meat is not one of the meats we eat."

"But, what about dragons?" Spike asked.

"To us humans; dragons, unicorns and pegasi are mythological," said Danny.

"Even griffons?" I asked and he nodded. "And hydras." Another nod from him. "What about magic?"

"We don't have magic in my old world," said Danny.

"So how does the sun and moon go across the sky?" asked Twilight. "And who controls your weather?"

"They all work on their own," said Danny. "Except my world orbits around the sun and the moon orbits around the planet."

"Wow," said Twilight. "I might have to go to your world and study everything about your world. But, I think it might be better if it was somewhere that's not where your aunt and uncle are."

"I would rather it be anywhere in the country than Memphis, Tennessee," said Danny. He then looked at his menu and said. "I would like some pancakes."

"Good call," I said. "How long has it been since you had pancakes?"

"Not since my parents died," Danny said. "Mom made the best pancakes when I was with her and dad." He then sighed. "I wish I had some memories of them with me."

"Perhaps one of the Princesses can help out with that," said Twilight. "They'll help out a lot."

"It would be nice for Danny to have some old memories of his parents," I said. "Hopefully, the princesses will help out with that. Hopefully." I smiled at Danny so he could have hope. He gave a sad smile, telling me that he understands. Things will be better for him as long as I'm around.





Well, after we left the restaurant, we went to the schoolhouse to get Danny registered. And Cheerilee already volunteered to help Danny learn how to write like a pony. Next stop, we went to the furniture store to get Danny a bed for him to sleep in. Along with a desk for him to work on his homework.

Now that we got the furniture back at my place, I can finally get to work on making a room for Danny. Good thing I had some of my fellow workers in the weather factory deliver some more clouds to add to my house for Danny's new room. Also, we would be close and share the same bathroom. We would have one of those Jack and Jill bathrooms. Although, whoever the pony that calls them Jack and Jill bathrooms is weird since we don't know who came up with a name like Jack and Jill.

"Rainbow Dash?" Danny asked. "How long is it going to take for my room to be finished?"

"It'll take a couple hours," I told him. "For any normal pony. But for me... I'll have it done in 10 seconds flat." I then started flying around the area where Danny's room would be, and I got it finished in 10 seconds flat, just like I said. "And that's how it's done. Now, let's get your furniture into your new room."

I then got Danny's bed and desk into his new room. Although, it was a pain for me to assemble them. I'm not used to reading instructions, let alone reading in general. But, it is done.

The bed's mattress was soft enough for Danny to get a good night's sleep in, and I also installed a bed side table for him to have a glass of water to drink whenever he gets thirsty at night.

"So," I said, "is this enough?"

"Yeah, I guess," said Danny. He then sighed.

"I know," I said, patting his back. "You miss your parents. But hey, kid, keep your chin up. I'm sure you'll be happy here than back there in that world with your awful aunt and uncle."

"Aunt Natasha and uncle Reginald didn't care for me at all," Danny said. "But, they're the only family members I have left, which I wish I didn't have."

"You don't deserve to be with family like that," I said. "You'll be better off here. Now, let's get some lunch. How about you try out those new taste buds of yours in trying some pony foods."

"I... guess I can give it a try," said Danny.

"Good," I said. "Let's head out. There's this place called Hayburgers. A perfect place for you to test out those taste buds."

Danny and I then headed out. It's time for Danny to have some pony food, since he's a pony now.

Back in Memphis, Tennessee...


Natasha and Reginald were looking all over Memphis searching for Danny, having no idea where he had gone. They were extremely mad at Danny when he disappeared. They just arrived home, and Reginald just kicked his recliner over.

"That kid is in so much more trouble than all the other he has been," said Reginald. "As soon as we find him and bring him back here, he'll never see the light of day ever again."

"Oh, Reginald," said Natasha. "I'm sure we can find something more fitting for a punishment. A punishment so bad for him, he'll never think about going outside again."

"Really?" asked Reginald. "Tell me more."

Natasha got an evil look in her eyes. She had something in mind to punish Danny if or when they find him.






Ponyville, Equestria...



(Danny's Point of View)


This past week, I've been having a good time. Having fun with my new friends, enjoying the foods they have, and getting to know the ponies around town. Except for Lyra. She kinda creeps me out. Whenever I get near her, she wants me to be living with her and Bon Bon instead. I think she wants me like a pet instead of a human being. Pony being? Whatever.  Anyway, Bon Bon has been trying to get her to leave me alone whenever I'm around.

And two days ago, Rainbow Dash and Twilight took me to a place to get me some school supplies. Pencils, notepads, and a weird kind of backpack that goes on my sides. Twilight and Rainbow Dash called them saddlebags. It feels weird having two bags strapped to my sides. Although, it's going to be hard for me to get them off without some help. And now, I'm starting my first day at school.

"Oh, good," came Miss Cheerilee's voice. "You're just in time. Now come on in, Danny, and stand next to me at the front of the class."

I nodded and followed her into the school. I then walked up to the front of the desk and saw all of the other fillies and colts sitting in their desks. I was happy to be back in school. A pony school but, school is school. I was happy to be back in school because my mom told me that it's important to get a good education.

"Good morning, class," said Miss Cheerilee to the students.

"Good morning, Miss Cheerilee," said the other fillies and colts.

"Now, before we get started on today's teachings, we have a new student," said Miss Cheerilee. "Meet Danny. He'll be joining us." She then looked at me and said, "Now, I would like for you to sit right behind Sweetie Belle back there." She pointed towards the back, and I saw Scootaloo with Sweetie Belle sitting behind her. Then I walked over and past them and sat in the desk behind her, but then I remembered the saddlebags I was wearing. I tried undoing the strap, but Miss Cheerilee came up to me and said, "Let me help you with that." She then undid the strap, and helped me get my saddlebags off.

"Thank you," I said to her.

"You're welcome," said Cheerilee. "Now, how about we get started on basic math."





I had a lot of learning on how to write, let alone learning a lot of history about Equestria. It was lunchtime, and I was sitting at a picnic table outside of the schoolhouse. I just wonder what they do at lunchtime if it rains. Anyway, Rainbow Dash packed me a lunch before she dropped me off. I got a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, a nice juicy apple, and small carton of milk. I was sitting with Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo at that picnic table.

"So, Danny," said Apple Bloom. "How are ya enjoyin' school so far?"

"It's been okay so far," I told her. "Although, it is hard for me to write with my hooves. I tried writing with my mouth once, but my gag reflex was rejecting it."

"I could hear," said Sweetie Belle. "Good thing you were having some help with writing with your hooves."

"Yeah," said Scootaloo. "Although, you might need some more help. We would be glad to help you out with your homework at the clubhouse."

"I would appreciate that," I said. "Thank you girls."

"No problem," said Apple Bloom.

"Look at them, Silver Spoon," came Diamond Tiara's voice. "Those blank flanks are trying to cheer up the human in pony's clothing."

We looked towards the two fillies walking up to them. They were giving grimace smiles at us. "I guess that human doesn't have anything else to do but hang out with losers. He shouldn't even be hanging around with them."

"What do you say, Danny?" asked Diamond Tiara. "Wouldn't you rather hang out with some ponies who have cutie marks and know what we're going to do with our lives?"

I thought about what Diamond Tiara said. I knew she was one of the bullies here in Ponyville, but I don't think I should hang out with them. So I said to them, "I would like to, but there's one thing."

"And that is?" Diamond Tiara asked.

"I don't like hanging out with bullies," I told her. "My mom told me that bullies would never be respected when they grow up unless their attitudes change."

That made Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon drop their jaws. Then Diamond Tiara scrunched up her face and said, "Fine. Don't hang out with us. It's not like you'll be happy playing with those blank flanks. Come on, Silver Spoon." The two of them walked away.

"Whoa!" said Apple Bloom. "That was impressive, Danny!"

"You just fended off the bullies without even lifting a hoof!" said Scootaloo. "That was awesome."

"My mom said I should never let bullies get to me," I told her. "I guess she had bullies to deal with herself."

"I guess your mom raised you the right way instead of your aunt and uncle," said Sweetie Belle.

"Yeah," I said. I smiled remembering how happy my mom made me. But that smile faded because I would never see her face again.

Apple Bloom noticed it and asked, "What's wrong?"

"I... I miss her..." I said, with tears going down my cheeks.

"Ah know how ya feel, Danny," said Apple Bloom. "Mah parents are gone as well. Mah ma and pa died when Ah was just a baby. Ah know how it feels."

I smiled, and then the three of them came over and hugged me. I actually accepted it. I was happy to have friends that would comfort me when I needed to be. Then I saw a pegasus mare with a mail pony's uniform on, walking up to us.

"I have a package for Daniel," said the mail mare.

"That would be me," I said, raising my right hoof. She walked over to me and put the package down beside my lunch. I looked up at her, and she had one eye looking at me, and another eye looking at something else.

"It's a package from the princesses," said the mare. "Just hope it's something good."

I was about to open it, but then I had a thought. Scootaloo then asked, "What's the matter, Danny? Open it."

"I think I should wait until I go back to Rainbow Dash's home before I open it," I said.

"Actually, he's got a point," said Sweetie Belle. "He should wait until he goes back to where he's staying before he can open it."

"Hold onto it until ya get back to Rainbow's place," said Apple Bloom.

"I should wait until I get back there," I said.

"Or, I can take it home for ya," came a voice. We looked up and saw Rainbow Dash hovering above us.

"Rainbow Dash?" asked Scootaloo and I.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I was flying overhead, making sure that no cloud isn't interrupting anypony's day and I saw you and came to check on you," said Rainbow Dash. "And I guess you are doing well. I even saw you tell those two ponies off. Nice job, kid." She playfully punched my shoulder. "I'll take this box and have it put in your room. Then you and I will open it together."

I nodded, and then Scootaloo and I grabbed the box with out hooves and Rainbow Dash took it.

"I'll meet you at the clubhouse you kids meet at and come pick you up," said Rainbow Dash. "See you then." She then took off with the package. I hope there is something good in the package.

I picked up Danny at the clubhouse the Cutie Mark Crusaders go to. I took him home, and the two of us went into his room. We then opened up the box and the first thing inside was a letter. I opened it up, and read it out loud.

Dear Daniel,

It took me and my sister a while, but we have gotten some past memories that you had with your parents. We had put all of the good memories you had into this photo album, and we had some of your old toys imported here without the knowledge of your aunt and uncle.

I thought it would be best for you to have some other things from your human childhood that should make you happy. I'm sure you'll enjoy it all when you have a chance.

Danny and I looked at each other, and then I moved over and brought out a photo album of when Danny was human. I looked at him as he was looking at each photo that was in there. He was smiling when he was looking at all the good memories. But, it faded when his smile turned into a frown, and he started crying.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"I... I miss them..." Danny said. "I miss my mom and dad."

I then grabbed him, and I let him cry into my chest. He really needed some comfort right then. I stayed with him until he fell asleep. I then put him under his covers and I was about to leave him there. I then whispered into his ear, "Good night, Danny."

I was about to walk out the room until I heard him mumble something in his sleep. "Good... night... Mom..."

I stopped when he said that. I turned around and looked at him. I felt bad for him. I silently walked over to him, and then I did what any mother would do. I kissed him on the head. I then headed for my own room, and head to my own bed.

He didn't have any family that loves him. I felt bad for him. He was alone in this world, without a family. He's upset that he doesn't have a loving family anymore. But, should I do it? Should I consider taking Danny in as my own child? My own foal? I should really talk with Twilight about this after I drop Danny off at school tomorrow. I need to talk to her about this. I just hope she'll know the answer.

(Rainbow Dash's Point of View)


I dropped Danny off at school, and I headed off to the Golden Oaks Library where Twilight lives. I was surprised that Danny didn't remember what happened last night. Guess he was too tired to notice what he said. I didn't tell him anything because I didn't want him to know yet. I sure hope Twilight will be able to tell me what I can do.

I knocked on the door and then the door opened. Spike was at the door, and he asked, "Hey, Rainbow Dash. What brings you here?"

"I came here to talk to Twilight," I said.

"Okay," said Spike. "I'll go get her and we will all..."

"Actually, Spike," I said, interrupting him. "I want to speak to Twilight, in private."

"Really?" Spike asked. "Alright. I'll go get her. Come on in." He allowed me inside and I sat on a pillow right by the table where it has a pony's head made of wood standing. I waited for Twilight to come down, hoping that she would know the answers.

"Rainbow Dash?" came Twilight's voice. I looked up the stairs and saw her coming down. "What brings you here? And why do you want it to be just you and me?"

"Well," I said, nervously. I then sighed. "It's about Danny."

"What about Danny?" Twilight asked. "Is something wrong?"

"No, nothing's wrong," I told her. "It's just that... It's..." I sighed again. "I feel bad for Danny. He's here in a strange land where he has no loving family to call his own."

"Yeah," Twilight said. "I feel bad for him."

"And... last night..." I said. "He... he unintentionally... called me mom."

"WHAT?!" Twilight asked, surprised.

"He didn't even know it," I told her. "And now, I was thinking about it. He was basically an orphan since his parents aren't there for him."

"So, are you saying that..." Twilight started. "...you're wanting to adopt Danny as your own foal?" I nodded. She then came over and hugged me. "You're doing the right thing, Rainbow Dash. Danny needs somepony to love him and care for him. And I believe that you are that pony."

"Yeah," I said. "I'm sure that Danny will appreciate it. But, he might slow me down on becoming a Wonderbolt."

"Don't worry about it, Rainbow Dash," Twilight said. "If you're wanting to have Danny stay over with somepony if you do become one, you could ask one of our friends to watch over him."

"I... I guess I don't have a problem with that," I said. "So, how do I become his legal parent?"

Twilight smiled at me and said, "I think I know who can help you with that."






(Danny's Point of View)


I just got out of school, and the Crusaders and I headed out to the clubhouse. The girls and I have been doing a lot of things to find our Cutie Marks. I'm sure it might not be as easy for me to get a Cutie Mark, having to be born human instead of a pony. We just failed another attempt on getting a Cutie Mark, but we had a lot of fun.

I'm sure that I'll get one mark someday. I just hope that one day, I would be truly happy again. Tomorrow, my friends and I are going to try and go for racing Cutie Marks. We were about to head to our separate homes, but we were stopped by Rainbow Dash when she came down.

"Hey, Danny," she said to me. "Mind if I talk to you?"

"Uh... sure?" I asked, confused. "What is it?"

"Well," Rainbow Dash started. "I was thinking about something. Do you... enjoy living with me?"

"Yeah, I guess so," I said. "Why?"

"Well, you have been enjoying yourself here," said Rainbow Dash. "And, I know you miss your parents. But, there is one thing I would like to ask you."

"And that is?" I asked.

"Danny, how would you feel if I adopted you?" she asked me. I was shocked. She wanted to adopt me. I wasn't sure if I should do it. I just stood their, taking in a lot of mixed emotions. I wasn't sure how I was supposed to feel. "Danny?" She used a hoof to make me look at her and then she asked, "Are you okay?"

"You... you really want to be my new mom?" I asked.

"Danny," she said. "Last night, when you cried yourself to sleep, you... unintentionally called me mom when I was about to leave the room."

"I... I did?" I asked. "I... I guess I was upset that I was upset about my parents not being with me, I guess I said it without thinking."

"Well, Danny?" Rainbow Dash asked. "How would you like to be my son?"

I was thinking about it. Rainbow Dash took me in, gave me a warm bed, sent me to school, made my meals, and is now wanting to be my new mom? I was stunned. I know she wouldn't replace my real parents, but it would be nice to be loved by someone like my parents did. I looked up at Rainbow Dash, and I nodded.

I could hear Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo squeal and they were happy for me. Rainbow Dash then picked me up and said, "Don't worry, Danny. I won't let anything bad happen to you."

"Thank you... mom," I said to her. I was happy that she would want to be my mom. I could feel her shedding some tears onto my head, knowing they were tears of joy.

Well, this was official. As soon as I got permission from Danny himself, I got the official paperwork signed for me to adopt him as my own colt. He deserved to be cared for, and I was going to be the pony to care for him. Even the Princesses were happy for me and Danny knowing that he would be in good hooves.

I was just about to put Danny to bed, but then I got to thinking. I then asked him, "Danny, would you like to sleep with me tonight?"

He looked up at me and then asked, "Really?"

"I wouldn't have it any other way," I told him. He smiled and nodded. I then waved a hoof and said, "C'mon, then, kid. Let's get to bed."

We came into the room he and I shared, and we got into the same bed. He and I snuggled closer together. I was just about to go off to sleep until he said, "Good night, mom."

I looked back at Danny. I smiled at him and then I leaned in and kissed him on the forehead and said, "Good night, Danny." I then hugged him and fell asleep.






Earth: Memphis, Tennessee...


(Third Person Point of View)


That night, Natasha and Reginald just arrived back at their place and they were upset that they hadn't found Danny at all. They were really upset.

"We looked all over Memphis, and there is no sign of that pathetic kid," said Reginald.

"You think I'm not upset about that?" asked Natasha. "He's as much trouble as my sister was when we were teens."

"Once we find him, we'll keep him locked up in the basement for a year," said Reginald. "Next time, he'll think twice before running away. Although, I'm not really sure how he got out of there."

"Indeed," said Natasha. She then looked at a chest that was unlocked. She then ran over to it, and opened it up. "No way. He got his toys and memories of his parents out of here?!"

"What?!" asked Reginald. "How? This chest was never to be unlocked! How could he have..."

Then there was a weird glowing coming from inside the chest. The glowing became a bright light, engulfing the two of them in the light.





Equestria: Castle of the Two Sisters


A light emanated and two figures fell out of there. The two figures were Earth Ponies. One male, and one female. The male pony was green with black and brown mixed hair for his mane, and his Cutie Mark was of three dollar signs. The female pony was red with black hair for her mane, and her Cutie Mark was of a profit chart with the rate going up in down, ending with it going up.

The two of them woke up, and looked at each other, and gasped in shock, and then yelped, moving away from each other. The mare then asked, "Who are you?!"

The stallion was surprised and asked, "Natasha?"

The mare recognized the stallion's voice and then asked, "Reginald? Is that you?"

"Yeah," said Reginald in his new, unfamiliar body. "How did this happen to us?"

"That would be my handy work," came a female voice coming from one end of the room they were in. They saw some weird blue mist emitting, and saw a ghost of a pony coming in from their. The ghost pony was black, wearing blue armor and a helmet. Her eyes were dragon like, and she had an ethereal mane. She had fangs, and smiled at the two. "Nice to finally meet you two. I heard you two are looking for your no good excuse for a nephew."

"Who are you?!" asked Natasha.

The ghostly mare cackled and said, "I am Nightmare Moon! And I have a proposal for you. You want to punish that pathetic child you took in when he lost his parents. You took him out of school, and aren't really wanting him to get rid of him until he's old enough to wed. I have a plan that just might work."

"How do we know we can trust you?" asked Reginald.

"Because I know where to find him," said Nightmare Moon.  She then used an image of Danny in his current form. "This is an image of what Danny looks like now."

"He's become one of those pegasuses?" asked Natasha. "How will we be able to catch him?"

"The proper plural of pegasus is pegasi," said Nightmare Moon. "And how to catch him? We'll start with blaming him for some bad things. And then when nopony trusts him, that's when you'll take him, bring him back here, and I'll send you three back to your world, and you can have him for the rest of your lives."

"Uh-huh," said Natasha. "But what's the catch?"

"Good question," said Nightmare Moon. "The catch is... when I send you back to your world, I shall get to rule it as your new queen." She then did an evil cackle.

That cackle was joined in by Natasha and Reginald. Natasha then said, "We're in."

"Alright, you two," said Nightmare Moon. "Let's come up with a plan." The three of them grouped together and started coming up with a plan to get Danny.

I was rushing around town getting things. I hope that Danny will feel okay with what has happened to him. He needed all of these for his first Equestrian disease. But then I was caught off by the sound of some barrels rolling over, messing up ponies from what they were doing. Luckily, I had the groceries I got put into my saddlebags. I rushed over and check on what happened.

"Whoa!" I said, noticing the damage. "What happened here?" I looked towards Bon Bon.

Bon Bon responded with, "I have no idea. I was working on setting up my candy stand, and then all of a sudden, these barrels fell over, and almost crushed my candies."

"What?" I asked. Then I heard another crashing noise. I flew up to follow the noise and I saw a bunch of ponies covered in paint and had some pieces of wood in their manes. I checked them and said, "Whoa! What in Equestria happened to you guys?"

One of the ponies walked over to me and said, "We don't know. We were working on painting this house, and all of a sudden, our stands started shaking, and we got covered in paint and wood."

"That's odd," I said. "Something weird is going on around here." Then I heard Applejack's voice crying out. I looked towards where she was, and I flew towards where she was. Her cart was broken and she had some very bruised apples. "Applejack! Are you alright?!"

"Ah'll be fine, sugarcube," said Applejack. "Ah've taken worse than that." She then looked over at the damage, until she noticed something. "What in the hay?"

"What is it?" I asked.

"One of the wheels on my cart has been mostly sawed off," said Applejack. "This was no accident."

"What?" I asked. "Who could have caused this?"

Then we saw some new ponies coming up to us. I didn't recognize these two. Who are they?

"Can we help you?" I asked.

"You see, my husband and I were just passing through, and we saw some young pegasus colt running from some farm with a saw in his mouth," said the mare. "I believe he was responsible for this predicament."

"What did this colt look like?" I asked.

"He has a light teal coat," said the stallion. "He also has a blonde mane and tail with two blue streaks."

"Are they talking about Danny?" asked Applejack. "That doesn't make sense."

"But that's impossible!" said Rainbow Dash.

Then a bunch of ponies started gathering around us, listening in on what was happening. They then started mumbling on whether to get mad at Danny, or work stand aside me and defend him.

I then shouted, "That's impossible! Danny couldn't have done this!"

The mare then got in my face and said, "I saw him do it!  What makes you think he didn't?!"

"I'll tell you why!" I shouted at her. "Because Danny is sick!"

"Really?" Applejack asked. "Danny's under the weather?"

"Yep," I told her. "I had Twilight send over Nurse Redheart to see what's the matter. He's got the Feather Flu. A sickness that only feathered creatures catch. It's also very contagious, so I have to stay away from him until the flu is over, and he has to get a lot of liquids in him until he's feeling better."

"So, it would be impossible for Danny to do all of these things when he's sick in bed," said one of the female ponies.

"Then who was doing all of that damage?" asked a stallion.

"Well, I have to get going," I told him. "I have to get his soup cooked up and ready for him to eat so he can get better. I'm also gotta get on a special suit so I can't catch the Feather Flu." I then started hovering and then I looked at the two ponies and said, "And just to let you know, don't mess with him. I would do anything to protect him from bad things."

I then took off towards the town to get something. I then remembered the state he was in this morning.





(6:30 AM)


I just got up and I was about to head to the kitchen and make breakfast for me and Danny. But, I decided to check up on him this morning. It has been two weeks since I had adopted Danny, and he has been having a lot of fun with his friends. Even when I had to leave him at Sweet Apple Acres on Twilight's birthday and Rarity was still in Canterlot. And there was the time that Spike has been getting bigger the day after his birthday, due to getting greedy. Danny was kinda freaked out by that when Spike was trying to take Scootaloo's scooter.

I walked into his room, and saw him covered up. It looks like he was freezing all night. I was about to check on him, but then he sneezed. When he sneezed, I could see a few feathers fly from his covers.

I gasped and asked, "Danny?! Are you alright?"

"M-Mom...?" he asked with a weak voice. "I don't... I don't feel so good." He then started to sneeze again. I then left the room before he could release another sneeze.

I then peaked my head back in and said, "Don't worry, Danny. I'll go get some help."

"Okay... mom," Danny said, weakly. I then headed out, going to get some help.






20 Minutes later...


(Danny's Point of View)


I stayed in my bed, shivering. I was so cold. Mom had been gone a while. I hope that Mom would be back soon. And then I heard the door open. I turned my body towards the door and looked at it. It was the same pony who bandaged up my burns from when I was hit by lightning the first night I arrived here. Mom was right behind her.

"M-Mom?" I asked. I had something in my throat, so my voice was all groggy.

"It'll be okay, Danny," Mom said to me. "She'll know what's wrong with you."

Then the nurse, Nurse Redheart, opened up a bag full of medical stuff, and brought up what looked like a Popsicle stick, but wider. She then told me, "Say aah." I opened up my mouth and she checked my throat. She then put the stick into the trash can, and then she checked my temperature, and said, "You're burning up. Any other symptoms?"

"I saw him sneeze when I first checked up on him," Mom said.

"Okay, then," said Nurse Redheart. "I know what the problem is. He has the Feather Flu."

"What's that?" I asked, groggily.

"Oh, that's right," said Nurse Redheart. "You weren't born a pony. The Feather Flu is a disease that only affects pegasi, or griffons. Even the princesses can catch this disease. It's very contagious to other feathered creatures."

"So, what should I do?" Mom asked.

"He's going to need a lot of bed rest," said Nurse Redheart. "And also, give him some soup to help his throat."

"Got it," said Mom.

"Also, try not to get too exposed," Nurse Redheart said. "Like I said, it's very contagious to feathered creatures."

"I'll get something to keep me from getting it," said Mom. She then looked over at me and said, "Don't worry, Danny. I'll get you better. I promise."

I nodded at her. I was feeling sleepy, so I just shut my eyes to get some rest.





Present Time...


I was shaken awake and I saw Mom there. She was wearing a weird suit to keep herself from catching this flu I had. She had put a bowl of soup on the bedside table and picked up a spoon, got some soup in it, and was about to put it into my mouth.

"Open up, Danny," Mom said to me. "This will make you feel better."

I then opened my mouth, and she put the spoon into it, and I slurped the soup. It was actually good.

"Thanks, Mom," I said.

"By the way, Danny," Mom said. "When I was out getting all this stuff, something suspicious was going on."

"Like what?" I asked.

"There were some incidents that happened, making everypony a little ticked off," Mom said. "And I saw two ponies there that were new to Ponyville. And, guess what. They tried giving you the blame."

"What?" I asked. "But I've been here since last night."

"I know," Mom said. "But when I said that you were sick in bed, they had second thoughts and thought of who else could have done all of the damage across Ponyville."

I then felt myself about to sneeze. Mom stepped back and I turned my head away from Mom so I wouldn't sneeze on her. I then lost some more feathers. It hurt my back when I sneezed. "Ow."

"Don't worry, Danny," Mom said. "Let's finish your soup, then I'll get you into a bathtub and clean you up. And after that, you're going to need some more rest. You're going to need it."

"Okay, Mom," I said.

I then finished my soup, and then Mom drew a nice warm bath for me. It felt really good, and then I was dried off and put back into bed. I hope I'll feel better by tomorrow. Or, at least, in two days. I fell asleep.

Natasha and Reginald returned to the abandoned castle. They were really upset at what they were trying to accomplish when trying to get their nephew back.

"I can't believe that we went through all that trouble, that plan has backfired!" said Natasha. "We should have known that before we done it."

"What is that wife of yours blathering about?" asked the Ghost of Nightmare Moon.

"It turns out that we did everything according to plan, only to find out that our good for nothing nephew is sick," said Reginald. "Which means we got nothing!"

"So, all of that for nothing?" asked Nightmare Moon. She then hovered over to them and said, "Well, it's a good thing I came up with a plan B, now didn't I? Next week, I want you to go back there, and foal nap him, and bring him here. And once you bring him back here, I will give them a symbol that will lead them here, and I shall send the four of us back to your world, and we will all get what we want."

The married couple smiled evilly and nodded. They had a new plan.






(Rainbow Dash's Point of View)


I just had Danny put to bed. He really needed a lot of rest. I had locked up the house, and headed over to the Golden Oaks Library. I needed to talk to Twilight about something. I was about to knock on the door, but the door opened and out came Twilight.

"Oh," said Twilight. "Rainbow Dash? What brings you here?"

"Actually," I said, "something weird is happening, and I wanted to talk to you about it."

"Alright," said Twilight. "What is it you wanted to talk to me about?"

"Well, it went like this..." I said to her. I basically told her everything that happened today. She was finding it confusing that somepony tried framing Danny for stuff he didn't do, even though he's sick. I'm sure that she was confused as I was when I found out about it.

"That doesn't make any sense," said Twilight. "Why would anypony want to frame Danny for something he didn't even do? I should report this to the princesses."

"I agree," I said to her. "I feel that Danny might be in trouble, and I gotta keep him safe."

"Good idea," said Twilight. "If somepony wants Danny to be taken away for some reason, than he's in more trouble than all of the troubled times we had been in."

I nodded in response. Twilight then ran back to the library. I flew back to my house to check on Danny. Luckily, I got my hazmat suit on, and checked on him. He was still asleep. I just hope that nothing bad will happen to him. I just hope my friends are able to help out with protecting Danny.

I need to be the pony he needs whenever he's in trouble. And nothing is going to stop me. No threat in this world, or any other world is going to have him taken away from me.

(Danny's Point of View)


I felt better from what Mom did for me. But, now, my protection is the most important thing to me, my mom and her friends, and my friends at school. It turns out that whoever framed me wants me for something. I'm sure that Mom and her friends will deal with the situation, like they always do around this place.

Right now, my friends and I are at Sugarcube Corner for a snack. And because that Pinkie Pie lives here and she would be there to protect me. And I got this weird feeling that someone is watching me. I looked out the window of the sweet shop and I got a little nervous.

"Are ya okay, Danny?" Apple Bloom asked. "Ya seem a little spooked."

I looked back at Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo, and they were worried for me. I said to them, "I just have that feeling."

"A feeling that something bad is about to happen?" asked Sweetie Belle. I nodded. "Then maybe we should head over to Rarity's boutique. Perhaps there, we might get a good feeling for you and have some soothing thoughts."

"I guess that makes sense," I said. "Let's go."

We then headed out of Sugarcube Corner and headed for Carousel Boutique. And for some reason, I thought I see Pinkie Pie peeking her head out of multiple things. Now, I know it seems normal to ponies around Ponyville, but the things she pops her head out of are impossible. I thought I saw her peep her head out of a freshly baked blueberry pie.

I then leaned towards Apple Bloom and asked, "Is Pinkie Pie popping out of pies normal for you ponies?"

"Ya do know you used at least five words that start with the letter P, don'tcha?" Apple Bloom asked. "But, nothing normal is about Pinkie Pie. She's very excited about everything."

She then pulled ahead, and I was about to say something, but Pinkie Pie came out of the back of Apple Bloom's bow, surprising me. I was jaw dropped about Pinkie Pie. What kind of pony is she?

We then arrived at Carousel Boutique, and inside was mom and the rest of her friends. They saw us come in.

"Danny?" Mom asked. "Is something the matter?"

"Well..." I said. "I just have the feeling that something is watching me."

"It's probably just Pinkie Pie," said Rarity. "She does tend to keep an eye on those who are in danger."

"Well, duh!" came Pinkie's voice. We all looked over and saw her in the mirror. Not in front of the mirror, but literally in the mirror. I was getting really confused about her. I was about to ask how she was able to do that, but I was stopped by Applejack.

"Don't bother askin', sugarcube," said Applejack. "She's just Pinkie Pie. She don't make sense to anypony, so we just accept who she is."

I thought about it. I know that there are things that other people, or in this case, ponies, can do what no one else can, but I'm surprised that Pinkie Pie has been doing stuff that nopony else can. It's really weird.

"Rarity," Sweetie Belle said. "We're going to be upstairs in my room. Just to let you all know where we are."

"Alright, Sweetie Belle," said Rarity. We all went upstairs into Sweetie Belle's room.

Once we headed in the door was slammed shut. We turned around and saw two ponies there.

"Who are you?!" asked Sweetie Belle. "What are you doing in my room?!"

"We did not come here for you," said the mare. That voice. It couldn't be.

"We just want the boy," said the stallion.

"You're not getting Danny!" said Apple Bloom.

"Just who do you think you are?!" asked Scootaloo angrily. I then ran under Sweetie Belle's bed. The girls noticed what I did and looked back at them. Scootaloo then asked, "Who are you? Really?"

"We are the ones who know's what is best for Daniel!" said the mare, who I knew was Aunt Natasha. "He rightfully belongs with us."

Then Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo looked at each other in confusion, which then lead to realization. Sweetie Belle then asked, "You're Danny's aunt and uncle... aren't you?"

"That's right," said uncle Reginald. "And you three aren't going to keep us away from our nephew. He belongs with us."

"After the way you treated him?" asked Apple Bloom. "Keepin' him from school, making messes and forcin' him to clean  up, and punishin' him for wantin' a better life? You two have no right to keep him!"

"Oh, no?" asked aunt Natasha. "Well you have to know that family should do what's best for family. And we know what's best for him."

"You think punishing him for no reason is what's best for him?!" Scootaloo asked.

"Some things are worth the sacrifice," said uncle Reginald.

"Reginald, get Daniel," said aunt Natasha. "I'll deal with these squirts."

Then aunt Natasha tackled Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo, and then she tied them up and gagged them. I was really scared, but then I got grabbed by my tail. I turned around and saw uncle Reginald grabbing it. Uh oh.

"I got him!" said uncle Reginald.

"Let's get out of here before they realize something's off," said aunt Natasha. She then tied me up and gagged me. Then they carried me out the window. My worst nightmare ever since I came here is coming true. I'm being taken away by my aunt and uncle.






(Rainbow Dash's Point of View)


Something felt wrong. I looked towards the stairs and I started walking towards them.

"Is something wrong, Rainbow Dash?" asked Fluttershy.

"I just have a weird feeling," I told her. I then headed upstairs, and I looked towards the room where Sweetie Belle sleeps when she stays over at Rarity's. I walked in, and I was surprised. I saw Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo, tied up and gagged. I gasped, and then untied them. "What happened? Where's Danny?"

"Rainbow Dash!" said Scootaloo. "Remember those two ponies who tried to blame Danny for the damages last week? They're really his aunt and uncle!"

"WHAT?!" I asked. "But how?!"

"We don't know," said Apple Bloom. "But they've taken him and are heading off somewhere, but we don't know where."

I then looked out the window. I was looking all over Ponyville for any sign of Danny. But then, I saw him and those ponies who I now know are his terrible aunt and uncle. I saw them pulling Danny into the Everfree Forest.

"Oh, no!" said Rainbow Dash. I then rushed downstairs and said, "Girls! Those ponies from last week, they're actually Danny's aunt and uncle! And they just took Danny into the forest!"

"WHAT?!" asked the other girls.

Twilight then looked at Spike and said, "Spike, notify the princesses, and keep an eye on the other girls. We're going to get Danny back."

"On it," said Spike. Then the six of us ran out of the room, and headed for the Everfree Forest. No way I was going to let those two awful excuses for family members get away.






(Danny's Point of View)


I was really scared when my aunt and uncle into the most dangerous forest in all of the forest in Equestria. I didn't want to be taken away.

I then saw that we were going into some what looked like some castle ruins. Mom told me that her first adventure with her friends was here against the fiendish Nightmare Moon. But being here in person, it's really scary.

"DANNY!!" I heard Mom's voice. I looked over to where Mom was coming from, and I saw her and her friends coming for me. I would've screamed for her, but I still had my muzzle gagged.

"Oh, no you don't," said aunt Natasha. She and uncle Reginald ran into the castle ruins and headed somewhere. We were in an old room where it looks like a throne room just like in those fairy tales my mom and dad read to me when they were alive.

Then Mom and her friends came into the room. They got into battle position and Mom said, "You two are not taking him away from us! He wants to stay here and be happy! All you want to do is make him miserable!"

"You don't know what's good for him or what's not!" said aunt Natasha. "It's time for us to take him back to where he belongs."

"And how are you going to do that?" asked Twilight. "You're surrounded, outnumbered, and overpowered."

"We might be surrounded and outnumbered," said aunt Natasha. "But overpowered? That's what you think."






(Rainbow Dash's Point of View)


We were all confused by what Danny's aunt said. But then, some dark blue mist came from the walls. I looked at the mist and saw that it looked familiar.

"I don't like the look of this fog, girls," I said.

"I got a bad feeling about this as well, Rainbow," said Twilight. Then something picked us all up, and slammed us down to the ground.

"Gaaah!" I yelled in pain when the other girls groaned. Then I heard wicked laughter. I knew that laugh.

The mist formed together and formed a familiar looking mare. It was the ghost of Nightmare Moon.

"NIGHTMARE MOON?!" shouted me and my friends.

"If I can't rule over this world, then I'll take over this little twerp's world!" said Nightmare Moon. She then cackled, and her mist surrounded Danny and his aunt and uncle. I had no choice, I had to rush over and getting him out of there. I flew up to him and tried to grab them, but they vanished before I could grab him, and crashed into what was left of the throne.

"Rainbow!" called out my friends. They all rushed over to me.

I couldn't believe it. Nightmare Moon's ghost has come back, and I lost my son. I was so upset that she did that, and I wanted to cry. So I let myself. I felt my friends come up to me and hugged me. I did nothing but cry into them. I lost Danny, and I was supposed to keep him safe. Why?! Why did this have to happen?!

(Rainbow Dash's Point of View)


I was really upset that Danny was taken away. I cried all the way from the Castle of the Two Sisters, being carried by Applejack. We all arrived at the Golden Oaks Library, and I was put into Twilight's bed so I could recover. But, I was still crying due to Danny being taken away.

I heard the princesses come up to the room, talking about what was going on.

"Are you serious?" asked Princess Luna. "The ghost of Nightmare Moon has brought them here?"

"And she's planning on taking over Danny's old world," said Twilight. "I don't know what they're planning, but it seems bad. And it's even worse because of Rainbow Dash. She hasn't been happy ever since Danny was taken."

"Ah feel bad for Dash," said Applejack. "She cared a lot for Danny."

Princess Celestia thought long and hard about what to do to get my son Danny out of their foul clutches.

Just then, she had a moment of thought. “Solar Eclipse,” we heard her say, “of course.”

“Solar Eclipse?” we were all quite confused about what Princess Celestia was going on about. I then came down to them, and stood next to Twilight.

“I suppose,” she said, “it be better if you lot know about him.”

She then looked towards Twilight, and... “Twilight... you probably didn’t know, but you were not my only protege.”

With that, Twilight’s interest was piqued. “I wasn’t?”

“No, Twilight. You see…” and so Princess Celestia started to tell us the story of, possibly, her very first protege.

True, I was never one for such stories, but seeing as Danny’s life was possibly on the line, I was willing to listen.

“It happened 1000 years ago, not long before I had to banish my sister to the moon when she became Nightmare Moon. I had a student who sounded quite promising. His name was Solar Eclipse, or Solaris as he liked to call himself. Interestingly, his parents gave him that name due to him being born within a solar eclipse. Solar Eclipse had true talent within him when it came to magic. I saw nothing but greatness within him, and after giving that decision some thought, I decided to take him in as my very first student ever. Down the years, Solar Eclipse has shown true effort, just like you, Twilight. What many Unicorns needed years, Solar Eclipse was able to master even the most complicated spells in a matter of days. Every task, every subject, every lesson… Solar Eclipse was truly a natural in it all, much like you, Twilight. Unfortunately, something quite tragic happened. When Solar Eclipse was just about your age… I accidentally laced him with a very dangerous and forbidden spell that would stop him from aging. That spell also changed his body structure into that of an Alicorn. At first, he was rather upset about what I’ve done, but then, not long after I banished my sister, he and I had a long conversation about what I have done to him. As it turned out, he was willing to forgive me. Also, he asked me to banish him to another world, as he always wished to explore another place. I just could not turn him down such a request, even if it meant that I would never see him again. So, after Solar Eclipse got his most important things together, and after we said our goodbyes, I cast the banishing spell on him, sending him away to another world, never to be seen again.”

"Another world?" asked Twilight.

"Wait a minute," I said. "Is it the same world as Danny's original world?"

"Yes," said Princess Celestia. "And I'm going to have to send you all to his exact location. And you are going to need these."

Princess Celestia then levitated the Elements of Harmony to us.

"You six are going to need this to face off against Nightmare Moon," said Princess Celestia. "I will be sending you to Solar Eclipse's exact location, along with a note. He will know what to do when you arrive there."

"On it," said Twilight. She then took the Elements of Harmony in her magic, and put five of the Elements on our necks, and the last Element on her head.

"I hope that he'll help us," I said. "Danny needs me. I can just feel it."

"Good luck," said Princess Celestia. "All of you."

Then both the Princesses lit up their horns, and everything went white, and then it went dark. I'm pretty sure that the girls and I just blacked out.






(Danny's Point of View)


I groaned. I woke up, and... I felt that I was human again. I looked around, and saw that I was in the basement of my aunt and uncle's house. But there was something different. The stairs were gone.

"About time you woke up," came aunt Natasha's voice. I looked up, and I saw a balcony where the stairs used to be. Aunt Natasha, uncle Reginald and that ghost pony were looking over it. "Get used to this, because you are not coming out of here until you're sixteen."

"No! I was free!" I said. "Why are you doing this to me?!"

"You should know that no one in this family deserves happiness," said aunt Natasha. "Guess my sister taught you the wrong way to go. After all, my parents disowned her as a member of our family."

"W-what?" I asked. "What do you mean?"

"It was when your mother and I were kids," said aunt Natasha. "We were a rich family, but your mom was wanting to have some fun times, but she wasn't supposed to. I followed her, and recorded all of the things she did, and we had disowned her. We moved from Portland, Oregon to Memphis, Tennessee, leaving your mom there to fend for herself."

"You just left my mom there to fend for herself?" I asked.

"And your mom was staying at her best friend's house until she got into college," said aunt Natasha. "And... she became successful. She found a happy life in Bend, Oregon, got married, had a kid, you, and lived happily ever after."

"What does this have to do with me?!" I asked.

"Ever since we left her behind, we went broke!" said aunt Natasha. "I had to marry for money so our family doesn't go under in back taxes. We were lucky just to keep our family alive, but we lost our company. And our chance to get back into the rich life was for us to have a child to marry off and have our families merge together and get back our finances back. But there was one problem."

"Both Natasha and I didn't have the right equipment to properly have a child," said uncle Reginald. "But, when we heard that you were born... we decided to take some... drastic measures."

"What?" I asked. "What did you do?" I thought about it hard. And then one thought came to mind. I then looked up at them and said, "What?! Why?! It was you?!"

"Your mother was pathetic," said aunt Natasha. "You shouldn't have belonged to her, and I will continue the family plan, even if it means taking away you from your parents, permanently. You will not be leaving here until you're old enough to be married."

"NOOO!!" I said. I then ran up to where the stairs used to be, and tried climbing up the beam under the balcony, but, even though it was made of wood, I kept losing my grip.

"Good thing I used a spell to make it impossible for him to climb out of here," said the ghost pony. "He'll be stuck here for a long, long time."

"Get comfortable, Daniel," said aunt Natasha. "You're going to be stuck in here for a long, long time." They then left the room, and I heard the doors locking. I ran back to the middle of the basement, and I sat down, hugging my knees, and cried.

"Mommy..." I said, crying. I didn't want to be here. I want to go back to Equestria, back with my pony mother.






Somewhere in Tennessee...


(Rainbow Dash's Point of View)


I was coming to. I felt that I was laying down on metal, but it was shaking. The first thing I thought was it was a metal wagon. I opened my eyes, and I saw that we were in some weird metal room. I looked around and saw my friends all over the room. And I saw windows with bars and no glass. I then tried flying, but one of the walls collided with me.

"Gah!" I shouted. Luckily, I was pressed up against the bars and saw some weird black stuff on the path outside the strange room. And there were two yellow lines in the middle of the path. And one white line on the opposite side. "What? Where are we?" I then looked back towards my friends and shouted, "WAKE UP, GIRLS!!"

They all woke up and looked around.

"What the heck?" asked Twilight. "Where are we?"

"I don't know," I said. "I think we're in some kind of train car. I checked outside, but there are no train tracks."

"What?" Twilight asked.

"A train without train tracks?" asked Rarity. "That doesn't make any sense."

"But how is it possible?" asked Fluttershy.

"We gotta get out of here!" said Applejack. "Ah'm bustin' us out!" She then headed for the door, and was about to buck it open.

Then Pinkie's tail started twitching, and she shouted, "Twitchy Tail!" Then the room just stopped moving, and we all headed for the other side of the room.

"I thought Twitchy Tail meant that something was going to fall," I said.

"Something did fall," said Pinkie. "Us."

We then got up, and headed back to the door. But then, we heard the door opening. We saw some shadowy figure coming from outside. It had to be either Danny's aunt or uncle, so I charged at him. But then I was surrounded in an orange aura of magic.

"I wouldn't do that," said a male voice. I looked at the guy who said that. It clearly wasn't either Danny's aunt Natasha, or his uncle Reginald. Plus, he had magic.

"Are you...?" Twilight asked.

"Here, I am known as Geoffrey Merlin," said the figure. "It's a cover name for my real name. My name... is really Solar Eclipse."

(Rainbow Dash's Point of View)


I couldn't believe it. This human... this human was the pony we were looking for. But, why would he have us in here? Where are we?

"You're Solar Eclipse?" asked Twilight. "But I thought you would be...?"

"An alicorn?" Solar Eclipse asked. "Well, I did start off as one. But, as soon as I saw these humans, they thought I was a crazed devil horse. So, I disguised myself as a human. For centuries, I had to stay in human form. Although, I had to change my identity whenever I had to fake my death. Usually, I had to choose a different form of identity every time someone sees me die of old age or any painful death, I got to change my form."

"So, you been here for centuries," I said. "But, why did you choose to banish yourself?"

"I wanted to explore other worlds," Solar Eclipse said. "I chose to travel to a world with a completely different species, and see how things work. So, I decided to start off as a particular wizard named Merlin. I went to the kingdom of Camelot to aid the people there who are in need. And the city where I forged a famous sword, known as Excalibur, came to be. That city was known as Avalon. But then, a dark force has wiped out everything there. I was lucky to survive."

"Where did you go after all of that happened?" asked Twilight.

"After everything was wiped out, it was like everything there had never happened," said Solar Eclipse. "So I went to a country known as Britain. But, I had to go by a new name. Geoffrey of Monmouth. And, I had written a book so the people of this world would know about the great King Arthur and his knights of the Round Table. Each time I went to a new place, with a new identity."

"So, the humans here wouldn't be able to knew who you really are," said Twilight.

"So, you have been changing every time you experienced what death nearly feels like, and make sure that you see none of the friends you've made again," said Pinkie. "But what about if the people have found out your little secret?"

"I make sure they don't remember it," said Solar Eclipse. "I had to erase their memories, telling them I had to keep my true identity secret. They understood. Well, most of them."

"You didn't hurt them. Did you?" Fluttershy asked.

"No," said Solar Eclipse. "The memory erasing spell has no painful effects on the one I'm using it on. Every time I was supposed to die, I change my identity, and move to a different place. And ever since I came to this country, I never left it. And I've been secretly protecting it. Even secretly protected the world from other worldly villains coming to take over the world or destroying it."

"And now, you're going to help us find Danny?" I asked.

"Indeed," said Solar Eclipse. "I got that message from Princess Celestia, and I have some interesting information to let the police know about the aunt and uncle and the death of young Daniel's biological parents."

"And that is?" I asked.

He turned his back on us, but he turned his head to the side, and said, "The death of them was no accident." That made my friends and I gasp. 

"They did that to Danny's parents?!" asked Twilight.

"But why?" asked Applejack. "Why would they do that to such a sweet kid?"

"Daniel's birth mother, Abby, and his aunt Natasha were both sisters," said Solar Flare. "But Daniel's mother was born into a family who cares about keeping their rich family rich. The mother of both the sisters wanted Abby to marry for money, not love. But, when she was caught doing fun things, she disowned her, and the family left her in Oregon."

"That's very harsh!" said Rarity. "To do that to their own flesh and blood!"

"The rich family went broke, so they had to have Natasha marry to that Reginald man," said Solar Flare. "They lost all of their fundings last year, and now they are planning to use Daniel to work on a plan to get rich again. But they planned on keeping him from making friends by taking him out of school. They took away his toys, and punished him from ever going outside to play with other kids."

"And that's when Luna chose to bring him to Equestria," said Twilight. "But what does the Ghost of Nightmare Moon have anything to do with this?"

"Nightmare Moon couldn't become queen of Equestria, so she chose Earth to be ruler of," said Solar Eclipse. But then, the sky was becoming darker and darker. We all looked up at the sky, and saw that this world's moon was blocking view of the sun, blocking off all light from the sun.

"Nightmare Moon... has blocked this world's sun!" said Twilight.

Solar Eclipse headed for somewhere, and we followed him. It turns out we were in some weird large metal wagon that was connected to some sort of pony less carriage and Solar Eclipse opened one door on the carriage, and turned on something. Then a voice came from inside.

"We interrupt this channel for some breaking news. Somehow, the moon has changed its orbit and has covered all the light from the sun. This is an unexpected turn of events. We have no idea what is happening, but we all must stay calm until this is all over."

Solar Eclipse pushed something and said, "Nightmare Moon. You have no idea, but a Solar Eclipse is able to increase my own power. Ironic." He then faced towards us and said, "Hold still."

He then hit us with some of his magic, and we felt something tingling all over us. When the tingling stopped, we felt different. I looked back at myself, and saw that I was human. I saw the others had the same reaction.

"You turned us into..." I started to say.

"Humans," said Solar Eclipse. "Now, come on. On your back legs. I have already reprogrammed your minds to walk and act like a human. But, you'll still have your magic. Unicorns, you'll be able to channel your unicorn magic through your hands and fingers. Earth ponies, your magic can be transferred into the muscles of your arms and legs. And pegasi, you'll feel your wings whenever you need them. But for now, keep your magic a secret from other humans. And as for your hair, people will just assume that you dyed it. Except for you." He pointed at Applejack. "Blonde is usual around here." Then he used his magic and made the weird room vanish into thin air. Then he opened the other doors of the weird thing and said, "Get in. We're heading to the young child who needs you."

"Alright," I said. "Hang on, Danny. I'm coming."





It's been about an hour since we started headed off to where we were going. I was looking out the window of where we were going. I then saw a sign that said "Memphis." I then remembered.

"Memphis! Isn't that where Danny said where his aunt and uncle live?"

"Yes," said Twilight. "Memphis, Tennessee. Head towards there."

"I know exactly where I'm going," said Solar Eclipse. He then looked at the device in the middle of the strange vehicle. He then turned it on, and the sound of some wicked laughter came up, getting our attention. That was the laughter of Nightmare Moon.

"Disgusting humans, prepare for your new queen to take over! I am Nightmare Moon, the one who shall leave this world in eternal night. And there is no way you will be able to stop me this time! I am going to leave you all in eternal night, and no mere mortal can stop me!"

Then the sound of static came in, and someone else's voice came, saying, "I don't know what just happened, ladies and gentlemen, but I'm sure that somebody is trying to start World War III. This might be an interesting report." Then Solar Eclipse turned off that device.

"So, the ghost of Nightmare Moon is going to try and take over this world," said Solar Eclipse. "We can't let that happen."

"But what about Danny?" I asked. "He needs me!"

"We'll deal with this one problem at a time," said Solar Eclipse. "First, we'll save your adopted child and expose those two black-hearted humans as killers. Then we'll take care of Nightmare Moon."

I looked out the window, and said, "Hang on, Danny. Your mom is coming."






(Danny's Point of View)


I stayed there, crying in the middle of the cold, basement floor. I was trapped here. No way out. Then I heard the door open. I looked up and saw that aunt Natasha came to the balcony.

"Now, your uncle and I will be heading out," said aunt Natasha. "If you plan on escaping through this door... good luck with that. There's a spell around this balcony that keeps things from going in, or coming out. Except for your food. You're not getting out of here anytime soon."

She then left. So no matter what, I'm stuck here. Mom won't be able to save me even if she got into the house. I have no way out. I gotta get out of here.






(Rainbow Dash's Point of View)


We looked and saw that Danny's cruel aunt and uncle got into another horseless carriage, only it was smaller. It looked like it would fit four or five humans. Then they started that thing, and went off. Right as it turned a corner, we pulled up in front of the house they came from. We got out of the horseless carriage and walked towards the gate of the house.

"Alright, Solar Eclipse," I said, "how do we get Danny out of there?"

"It looks like Nightmare Moon left them with one spell," said Solar Eclipse. "A spell that keeps that kid from exiting through the basement door."

"So, how do we get him out?" asked Twilight.

"By making another door," said Solar Eclipse. He used his magic and made a paperclip. I was confused a little bit, and he put it in the lock and did something, and the lock had opened up. He then opened the gate and we headed around the house. He then made some shovels, and said, "Grab a shovel, and start digging a ramp. We're going to bust our way into the basement."






(Danny's Point of View)


I heard a clanking noise coming from a wall that lead to the backyard of the place. I was confused by that. I then walked over towards the wall, and said, "Who's there?"

"Danny?! Is that you?!" came a muffled voice. A voice that I recognized.

"Mommy?!" I asked. I then pounded on the wall and shouted, "Mommy! I'm in here! Get me out! Help me!"

"Stand back!" shouted Mom with a muffled voice. "We're going to break that wall in!" Then the sound of bricks breaking came. The bricks started cracking, and then the wall broke down. I stood back and I saw six figures walk in. I looked at them, and saw that all of them looked familiar. I looked at the one with rainbow colored hair and she looked at me with a tearful smile. "Danny."

"M-Mommy?" I asked. She then got on her knees, and opened her arms up for me. I ran over to her and hugged her. I cried into her shoulders and said, "I thought I would never see you again!"

She rubbed the back of my head with a hand and said, "Shhh. Everything's going to be okay, Danny. She then pulled away from me and said, "Let's get you out of here."

She then stood up, carrying me in her arms, and we all headed out of the place. We then headed towards a van that was parked in front of the house my mean aunt and uncle lived in. But then I looked around, and coming in from the left, I saw my uncle's car coming back. I started to get worried.

"Oh, no!" I said. "That's my uncle's car!"

They all looked at the car coming up. The strange man that was with Mom and her friends said, "C'mon. We gotta get out of here!"

We all got into the car. We put on our seat belts, the man started the van, and started driving off fast. I saw that my uncle's car was speeding up, trying to catch up with us.

"They're catching up with us!" I shouted.

"Hang on, kid," said the man. "We're going to deal with these criminals once and for all."

"Mom," I said. "There's something I just found out about my birth mom and dad."

"We know, Danny," Mom said. "We know that these guys killed them."

"You do?" I asked.

"No ruffian like them should even be in possession of you," said Rarity. "We should alert the authorities."

"Indeed," said the strange man. We were speeding up quite a bit. I don't know what he was doing, but I bet he might get in trouble by the... Ohh. Now I get it.

He's speeding on purpose to attract the cops. It's actually a good plan.

We just got onto the highway, getting the attention of a police car. They started chasing us, but then uncle Reginald's car pulled in front of us, making us swerve into the side of the highway. Luckily for us, we were all wearing our seat belts.

Then we saw aunt Natasha and uncle Reginald walking towards our car. They were about to force the door open until they were pinned towards the door by a couple police officers.

The strange man opened the passenger seat window, and one of the police officers came up to us and said, "Is everyone okay? No major injuries?"

"We're fine, officer," said the strange man. "Thank you for stopping these maniacs."

"Maniacs?!" shouted aunt Natasha. "These freaks have abducted my nephew!"

"Hold up!" Mom said. She then opened the door. "Technically, you don't own him since your family disowned your sister!"

"How did you know about that?!" asked aunt Natasha.

Mom got worried, and I noticed that. I then spoke up. "I told her. I also found out that Aunt Natasha and Uncle Reginald killed my mom and dad."

"They did what?" asked one of the officers. "Is this true?"

"No! He's lying!" said aunt Natasha. "I cannot believe you would say that about us! We're family! You need us!"

"Why would I need someone who took me out of school, took away my toys, and kept me from having fun and making friends?!" I asked, angrily. "You are not my family anymore!"

"Alright, then," said the police officer. "You two are coming with us to prison. We'll have a trial this weekend to discuss this situation. We'll also call up a tow truck to pick up the truck, and call a couple taxis. Where do you live?"

"Actually, I'm from out of town," said the man. "I'm actually a licensed lawyer in the state of Tennessee. So, I'll be able to back up the kid."

"Alright," said the officer. "We'll be seeing you in court this weekend. Right now, we need to figure out how the moon has suddenly moved."

"Hopefully, this catastrophe will end soon," said Mom. "I'm sure of it."

We all looked at the moon as the police officers put aunt Natasha and uncle Reginald into the police car. Then a police van pulled up.

"Those guys are going to take us to a hotel," said the strange man. "It's a good thing I packed us up some clothes for all of you. And I put them into the exact sizes you all are in."

We then got out of the broken van, and grabbed the bags in the back and headed for the police van. The strange man told the police man to take us to Westin Memphis Beale Street. It sounded like a nice hotel. I just hope we'll get all of this over with.

Chapter 11: Fight the Night(mare)







(Rainbow Dash's Point of View)


We arrived at a fancy looking hotel. Solar Eclipse got us into four different rooms. Three with two beds, and one with only one bed. Danny and I were okay to share the same bed. I didn't want anything happening to him. I was just glad I got him back.

We stayed in our room, hugging. And then, there was a knocking on our door. Danny walked over to the door and opened it. In came the other girls and Solar Eclipse.

"This is getting bad," said Solar Eclipse. "Everything is starting to get colder and colder."

"Every time a solar eclipse happens, the outside temperature gets colder and colder," said Twilight. "If this keeps up, the planet could freeze. We have to stop Nightmare Moon before things get bad."

"But what about Danny?" I asked. "We can't just leave him here all alone."

"Perhaps we should watch over him," came a voice. We looked over and a portal opened up, revealing Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Princess Celestia then said, "You all must stop Nightmare Moon or else her eternal night will freeze all the inhabitants of this world."

"Indeed," said Solar Eclipse. "Nice to see you again, old friend."

"Solar Eclipse," said Princess Celestia. "It has been a long time."

Then the strange black box showed a screen of what was going on around here. It showed someone trying to predict the weather. Doing a poor job at it.

"It would seem that whatever is causing an unexpected Solar Eclipse is sourcing itself somewhere here in Memphis. In an unrelated story, there seems to be some blue energy emitting from the top of the tallest building in Memphis."

"That woman clearly doesn't know that that blue energy is Nightmare Moon," said Princess Luna. "And she is causing that solar eclipse that's leading this world to freezing darkness."

"How close are we to that building?" Twilight asked.

"It's less than a mile away," said Solar Eclipse. "We have to get going."

"Mom?" Danny asked. "Everything's going to be okay, right?"

"I promise that everything's going to be okay, Danny," I told him. "Now you just wait here. We'll be back."

Then we all headed out. Solar Eclipse brought out a suitcase from his coat, and opened it up. Inside were the Elements of Harmony. We all grabbed our Elements, and headed out. I turned around and kissed Danny on the forehead, and then we headed out.





It took us at least 20 minutes, but we arrived at a condemned building. It had a lot of floors. We knew that Nightmare Moon was at the very top of the building. The question is, how do we get up there? Big mistake.

We walked up a lot of stairs. We were slowing down for Twilight, Rarity and Fluttershy to catch up. I then asked, "What floor are we on?"

Solar Eclipse looked down the stairwell, and said, "Looks like we're on the nineteenth floor. We're just about halfway there."

"How are we going to stop with Nightmare Moon with a bunch of people watching us stop her?" Twilight asked.

"I'll use my very powerful magic to make sure that no one sees the battle," said Solar Eclipse. "Now, let's get this ghostly witch."





We reached the roof of the building. We saw that the ghost of Nightmare Moon was floating there. She then turned around and smirked at us.

"So, you've finally came," said Nightmare Moon's ghost. "Welcome... to your burial ground."

"Not going to happen," said Solar Eclipse. He then used his magic, and transformed all seven of us into our true pony forms. We were ponies again. I looked over at Solar Eclipse. His original form was similar to Lucky Clover, but his coat was light amber, and his mane was the same color as Lucky Clover's, but his mane had a hint of goldenrod that matched his coat. And his cutie mark was strange looking.



"You're an alicorn?!" asked Nightmare Moon. "Oh, you're going to go down!"

Then Solar Eclipse used his magic and the area around it so no human can see us. Then Nightmare Moon fired a spell at us.

"Solar Eclipse?!" Twilight asked. "Aren't you going to help us fight her?"

"I'm using all of my magic to keep this spell going," said Solar Eclipse. "It's up to you!"

We all nodded. Then Twilight used her magic to fire at Nightmare Moon, but it went right through her.

Nightmare Moon laughed and said, "That tickles."

"Uh oh!" said all six of us girls.

Then Nightmare Moon fired a blast at us. We got out of the way, and then I started flying around her. Using the Rain-blow Dry on her. It was actually keeping her in place.

"What's this?!" asked Nightmare Moon. "I can't move!"

"Let's get her with the Elements!" called out Twilight.

I was about to go to her until I was hit by a small explosion coming from the middle of the tornado I made. I was pushed towards my friends.

"If I can't rule this world," Nightmare Moon said, "then nothing will!"

She then lit up her horn and a beam hit the moon, pulling it downwards. That can't be good.






(Danny's Point of View)


I was watching the news with both the princesses in the room. We then heard a reporter on the news come up.

"Breaking news! The moon is coming down. No, I do not know why this is happening, but I believe that this will be the end of humanity as we know it. Then the camera turned to where all the people were working, and all of them were freaking out about what was happening.

"That's not good," I said.

"We better keep this world's moon from colliding with the planet," said Princess Luna. Then both of them started using their magic, and started moving the moon back. But then the light from the sun started coming back.

"It's working!" I said.

"Let's just hope that this would be enough to keep Nightmare Moon from finishing us off," said Princess Celestia.






(Rainbow Dash's Point of View)


We looked up at the sky and saw that the moon was moving out of the way of the sunlight. It was getting brighter.

"WHAT?!" Nightmare Moon exclaimed. "NO!! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!!" The ghost of Nightmare Moon wasn't looking good. She was barely see through.

Then Twilight fired a blast at her, and it made contact.

"GAAAAH!!" shouted Nightmare Moon in pain.

"Girls! Let's charge up the Elements!" shouted Twilight. We all did, and the magic of the Elements started connecting together, making a rainbow beam, and then headed straight for Nightmare Moon's ghost. She then vanished, disappearing forever.

We all fell to the floor, along with Solar Eclipse. We then got up, and looked around for Nightmare Moon.

"Where... where'd she go?" I asked.

"It would seem that Nightmare Moon... is finally gone," said Solar Eclipse. "Let's head back to the hotel. We got to get ready for the trial this weekend."

"Of course," said Twilight. "And we should be humans until then."





We arrived back at the hotel where we were staying. We all came into the room that Danny and I were staying in. Danny ran up to me, and hugged me.

"Well," said Twilight. "We just stopped Nightmare Moon. She's done for."

"Good," said Princess Celestia. "Now we shall take you all home."

"Not yet," said Solar Eclipse. "Just a few hours ago, we got Danny's aunt and uncle arrested. And this weekend, we got a trial to get to, for Danny."

"If we lose the trial, Danny will be given back to them," I said. "We can't let him be taken away. For his own happiness."

"Indeed," said Rarity. "We can't afford to lose this trial, or else we won't bring Danny back home."

"I don't want to lose him," I said. "He needs me."

"Sister," said Princess Luna. "I shall stay if they need some extra proof. Although, I might have to stay in the shadows if I am in a place where I could be easily spotted."

"Good," said Solar Eclipse. "We're going to need all the proof we can get. The trial needs all the proper evidence if we're going to win. We'll get all the proper evidence we need before then."

Chapter 12: The Trial for Danny's Welfare







(Danny's Point of View)


Tomorrow's the day of the trial. Solar Eclipse and the others went to my aunt and uncle's house to get some evidence to let Mom's side of the trial win, and I would stay with her. Mom and I stayed in our hotel room, and waited for the others to come back.

We heard a knocking on the door, and Mom walked over to the door. She opened it and in came the others. Solar Eclipse then said, "All that searching, and they covered it all up."

"What do you mean?" Mom asked.

"Apparently, they planned on you girls coming here to get Danny back," said Solar Eclipse. "Apparently, they had made some fake memories that makes Danny look happy when he was staying with his aunt and uncle. Basically, Nightmare Moon helped covered up all the bad memories in the time Danny has been here, and replaced most of them with happy memories."

"So, we're screwed," said Applejack.

"No, no, no!" Mom said. "This can't be happening!"

"Mommy?" I asked. "What are we going to do?"

"I don't know, Danny," Mom said.

"It's going to be really tough," said Twilight. "These guys are real professional at covering up the truth."

I hugged Mom tight, and started crying into her chest. I don't want to go back with them. They're going to take me away and I can't do anything but allow it. I could feel mom rubbing the back of my head. I'm basically doomed.

"No!" I heard Mom said. "I won't let Danny be taken away by those cruel beings that are his aunt and uncle. There's gotta be something to prove those disgusting human beings that they're not as nice as they seem."

"Rainbow Dash!" Twilight said. "There's nothing we can do for him tomorrow! We lost before it happened!" I cried even harder. I felt Mom hug me even tighter. "Danny's chances are coming back with us are extremely slim. I'm so sorry, Rainbow Dash. But we just can't win like this."

I felt Mom lean her head onto my head, and I could feel her tears coming onto my head. Then I felt the other girls come in and give me a group hug. I knew that this was the end for me.






(Rainbow Dash's Point of View)


We arrived at the courthouse where the trial was going to be. But this might as well be the end of me and Danny being together. It's over before it began. We were incredibly doomed.

Since we were going to court, we needed some names that sounded human. I was given the name Rachel Dashan. Twilight was given the name Theresa Sparks. Applejack given the name Athena Jackson. Rarity was given the name Rosemary Belle. Fluttershy was Faith Sheep. And Pinkie Pie, she was given the name Penelope Pastry.

We walked into the court room and we were brought to our seats. Twilight, Solar Eclipse and I were sitting at one table while Danny's aunt and uncle with an attorney of their own.

"All rise for the honorable, Judge Stanford Reigns," said the bailiff.

We all stood up, and saw the judge come up to where the judge usually sits. He then said, "Alright. This case is for the custody of Daniel Phillips. The case that stands against Rachel Dashan against Natasha and Reginald Regal. May I get the names of the attorneys and who's side they're on?"

Then Solar Eclipse stood up and said, "I go by Geoffrey Merlin, legal attorney for miss Rachel Dashan."

Then the attorney for Natasha and Reginald stood up and said, "I am Devon Stark, attorney for Mr. and Mrs. Regal for the custody of their rightful nephew, Daniel Phillips."

"You may take your seats," said Judge Reigns. We all sat and then said, "And now, for our prosecutor, we have Jason Quill coming in."

Then another human in a suit comes up. He had a blue suit, a white shirt, and a red tie. He walked over to the front and said, "Will Daniel Phillips take the stand?" We watched as we saw Danny go up to the stand, sitting in the seat where everyone has his attention. Then Jason Quill walked up to Danny with a book and said, "Daniel Phillips, do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help you god?"

"I do," said Danny.

"Alright, Daniel," said Jason Quill. "Tell me why you are here today?"

I could see that Danny was tense. He looked at me, and I motioned him to take a deep breath. He did and then he said, "Well, it all started when I was living in Bend, Oregon. I lived there my whole life. My parents and I were living in one of the friendliest places in the country. But then, when they were on their way to pick me up, they died in a car crash. I was then picked up by social services who wanted to know if I had any family left. I told them I did, but they took me to them without giving me the chance to tell them that they're not very nice to me or my parents."

"Objection!" came Natasha's voice. We all looked over at her and said, "I'm afraid that my nephew has been delusional ever since his parents have passed. It's a phase he's in."

"I can understand that," said Jason Quill. "Most young minds get a little delusional when they're mentally distressed about something. Now, how about we have miss Rachel Dashan to the stand?"

I stood up and headed to the stand. I sat down and was given the same question Danny was asked first.

"Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help you god?"

"I do solemnly swear," I said.

"Do you remember when you first came across young Daniel Phillips?" Jason Quill asked.

"I do," I said. "I was going all over town, helping those who got themselves stuck in the storm outside, and then I saw Danny out there. I noticed that he was struck by lightning, so I took him to the hospital to get him patched up. The next day, he told me everything on what happened from when his parents died to before he ended up to where I was."

"Interesting," said the judge. "And what exactly did he say?"

"I could tell that he wasn't making anything up, or shown any sign of delusions," I said. "He was abused by his own aunt and uncle, and hasn't been getting any education when he was staying with them."

"Objection!" came Natasha's voice. "She has obviously gotten tricked by my nephew's delusions." She then pulled out a photo album, and showed it to the people of the court. "I have some evidence that proves that he has been happy here. Although, I have no idea where his delusions were coming from. They come in left and right whenever he is around strangers when he has been here."

Jason Quill took the photo album and looked through the photos. He was believing all of the photos. I couldn't believe that we were actually losing. I couldn't believe that this was happening. Danny was going to be taken away.

"Well, Miss Dashan, it looks like the odds are not in your favor," said Jason Quill. "Do you have any other things to say?"

I couldn't think of a way. But then I said, "Can I get some time to come up with a proper argument?"

"Of course," said the judge. "We'll take a fifteen minute recess. We'll come back then."





My friends and I were outside the court room, and I was really upset about what they were getting at. I could actually lose Danny. But then we heard Natasha and Reginald walking towards us and laughing with a tone.

"You honestly believe that you could beat us in this case?" asked Natasha. "You basically are just giving us the case without any evidence."

"Because you covered up all of the real evidence!" I shouted and started to move to punch her, but I was pulled back by Applejack.

"Whoa, there, sugarcube!" said Applejack. "If you hit her here, you could be sent to jail immediately!"

"Why are you doing this?!" Twilight asked. "With your attitudes, and all the lies, you shouldn't even be watching over Danny. He's a good kid, and you know it."

"But, with our plan from the beginning, we were able to make it look like that we've been treating him nicely," said Reginald. "But sometimes, for the good of our family, we have to do whatever it takes. Even if it means telling very convincing lies. And right now, the truth... it's overrated."

"Why Ah oughta..." said Applejack, but was stopped by Rarity and Fluttershy. I watched as they were restraining her. But I also saw that Solar Eclipse was thinking of something.

"Good luck on trying to beat us now," said Natasha. "Daniel will be staying with us from now on."

I couldn't help but cry. She was right. Danny was going to be stuck with them for the rest of his years as a kid. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up and saw Fluttershy. She said to me, "Don't cry, Dash. We'll try our best to get the truth out of them."

“It’s no use,” I gave out to my friends, “it doesn’t matter how much we tell the truth, Natasha and Reginald always manage to make it look like Danny seems happy with them.”

Solar Eclipse thought about the last session for a long time, thinking about what Natasha and Reginald just said to him before they retrieved for a short break. “The truth... it’s overrated,” he muttered to himself, repeating it over and over again. “The truth’s overrated. The truth’s overrated. The tr-EUREKA!!!”

We all startled by his sudden outburst.

“Solar Eclipse,” I exclaimed, “what the heck?!”

“Sorry,” said Solar Eclipse, “It’s just that I finally know how we can get the truth out of them.”

“You do?” asked Twilight, “How?”

“It’s simple,” said Solar Eclipse, “It kinda involves a movie that I saw back in 2002.”

“Ooh,” said Pinkie, getting really excited, “What was it called?”

Solar Eclipse chuckled a little evilly, but revealing the title: “Big Fat Liar.”

“Big Fat Liar?” We were all rather confused.

“You see,” explained Solar Eclipse, “it was about a young boy who tried to expose some guy as a fraud after that guy stole his essay, titled Big Fat Liar, and turned it into a script for a motion picture, also titled Big Fat Liar.”

“But what has this got to do with what you have in mind?” I was really starting to lose my patience with Solar Eclipse.

“It’s quite simple,” said Solar Eclipse, “You see... during the climax of the movie, the antagonist, Marty Wolf, finally confessed that he stole the essay of the protagonist, Jason Shepherd, and turned it into Big Fat Liar, during which he mocked Jason about it, claiming that he would never ever infinitely tell the truth, with the opinion that the truth’s overrated. Little did Marty know, he confessed his crime in front of 12 various cameras at the same time. By the time he realized what he has done, it was already too late for him to turn things around for himself. Long story short, Marty lost his deal with a movie producer and his career.”

Twilight gasped. She seemed to get the picture. “You mean... we just lure Natasha and Reginald from the court, get them to tell the truth, thus turning the court against them?”

“Close,” said Solar Eclipse, “but no cigar, Twilight. My idea is to lace them with a very strong spell, moments before the division calls them to the witness stand.”

“From there,” I realized, “they’ll tell the truth and nothing but the truth. Solar Eclipse, you’re a genius!”

“What can I say,” replied Solar Eclipse with a smirk, “Nobody, or in your case, nopony, treats their family like slaves and gets away with it.”

"That means we have a chance to win the trial!" said Rarity.

"But what if the people get suspicious about their change of mood?" asked Fluttershy. "The people would think that something is wrong with them."

"We'll have to bare with this one problem at a time," said Solar Eclipse. "Now, let's get back in there. We got a trial to win. And I also took some photography classes, and I could tell if a picture is photo shopped. I've also looked in that album, and the pictures are photo shopped. I can get them to blurt out the truth."

"Hope this works, sugarcube," said Applejack. "We can't let that boy suffer any more."

We all nodded, and put our hands in. This was our only chance to get Danny away from his aunt and uncle. We can't mess this up.





We all got back in the court room, and I was called back to the stand. I then was shown the photo album.

"Miss Dashan," said Jason Quill, "have you come back with a proper argument so you'll have a chance to win this case?"

I looked over at Natasha and Reginald. They were giving off smirks, making them think they had won the trial. But then I said, "Actually. I do. I believe that there was some work on these photos."

"Are you saying that these photos have been photo shopped?" asked Jason Quill.

"I believe you can ask our lawyer that," I said with confidence. "He happened to take photo classes and can tell a true photo from a photo shopped photo."

"Alright," said Jason Quill, taking the photo album to Solar Eclipse. "Mr. Merlin, can you tell us what kind of photo shopping you have seen in one of these photos?"

"Of course," said Solar Eclipse. "In fact, it's this one photo right here, where it shows Reginald teaching him some math. But there's just one problem with that."

"And that is?" asked Jason Quill.

"Check out the shade of his arm and the shade of his head," Solar Eclipse said. "This photo is actually a photo of when Daniel was doing some homework with his father, and not with his uncle."

Jason Quill had his eyes widened and said, "Great god! He's right! This photo has been photo shopped!"

"NO! It wasn't!" shouted Natasha. "Objection."

"Sorry, Mrs. Regal," said Judge Reigns. "But this time, you're overruled."

"Have you been lying about anything else?" asked Jason Quill.

"I think they should be taken to the stand," I suggested.

"Good suggestion, Miss Dashan," said Jason Quill. "Mr. and Mrs. Regal, take the stand."

I got out from the stand seat and then Natasha and Reginald came up to the stand. I then whispered into Solar Eclipse's ear, "It's time."

He nodded. He then had his hands under the table, glowing, making sure that no one else sees him doing magic.

"Do you two swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth?" asked Jason Quill.

"We will from now on now that we've been caught lying," said Reginald. But then he realized that he just blurted out something he clearly didn't mean to say. "Why did I just say that?"

"What is wrong with you?!" asked Natasha.

"I don't know," Reginald said. "It just came out."

"Now, will you please tell me why you have been lying to everyone here?" asked Jason Quill.

"We had no choice but to win the trial for Daniel because he'll be our ticket to being rich again," said Natasha, but then she covered her mouth, trying to say more.

"What's this about being rich again?" asked Jason Quill.

"We were once a rich family," said Natasha, uncovering her mouth. "We lost everything after we disowned our sister, who happened to be Daniel's mother."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa," said Jason Quill. "Your sister was disowned? Go on."

"She did something she wasn't supposed to do," said Natasha. "She was having fun with friends, but I caught her and showed it to our mother, and we had disowned her. She wasn't supposed to have fun, and we moved from Oregon to Tennessee and left her there. I then married into Reginald's family to help with our family's funds, but years later, we lost everything. So we had to try to get a child to eventually get married into another rich family. But there was one problem."

"Both of us haven't had the proper equipment to make a child of our own," said Reginald. "But her sister did, so we had a plan. To get custody of Daniel, so we can eventually marry him off for money of another rich family."

"So, you planned this?" asked Jason Quill. "But how did you know that your sister and her husband had died?"

"Because we are the ones who killed them!" said Reginald. "Daniel was our key for being rich again!"

"So let me get this straight," said Jason Quill. He looked towards Natasha. "Your family disowned your sister. Then went broke. And then you married this man," he said pointing at Reginald, "and years later, you became broke again. And when you heard that your sister was married and had a child, you killed your sister and her husband, and took custody of Daniel for your plan to get rich again."

"That's right," said Natasha.

"Well," said Jason Quill, laughing a bit, "I'm afraid that you never had the rights to take in Daniel, since he's not really your nephew since your family disowned your sister. Would the jury like to think about this to decide whether these two are innocent or guilty?"

"No need," said one of the jurors. "We find Natasha and Reginald Regal guilty of murder, lying to the court, and lost all rights to have Daniel in their custody."

"Case closed," said Judge Reigns before pounding the gavel. We won.

Then my friends and I started celebrating. Then Danny ran over to me, and he hugged me. I picked him up and then hugged him happily.

"As for you two," said Judge Reigns. "You two shall be locked up in prison for 40 to 60 years. Bailiff, take these two to jail."

"With pleasure," said the bailiff. He then grabbed Natasha and Reginald, and pulled them towards the door.

"This isn't over!" said Natasha. "I shall have you, Daniel!"

The door closed after Natasha and Reginald were taken through the door.

I was then tapped on the shoulder by Jason Quill. He then put some papers on the table and said, "For you to have full custody of Daniel, you are going to have to sign these papers."

"Okay," I said. I then grabbed that pen of his, and signed the proper papers.

"Congratulations," said Jason Quill. "You have full custody of Daniel Phillips. Making you, his official mother."

"Even though I already am," I said in my head.

"Take good care of this young man," said Jason Quill. I nodded my head, and then I carried Danny out of the courthouse with my friends and Solar Eclipse following me.

Chapter 13: Finally Home







(Rainbow Dash's Point of View)


We finally got back to the hotel room. When we got there, we started packing up the stuff that we didn't need back in Equestria, so we were giving them to  Solar Eclipse. Danny can now finally stay with me in Equestria, and he'll be happy.

Solar Eclipse handed me a file and said, "Inside this file is some of Danny's important information. His birth certificate, his medical reports, and some photos of him and his parents during his true happy human childhood."

"Thanks," I said. I then opened up the file, and I looked at the files from in there. I then noticed the birth certificate. "Birthday, December 4th. Wait a minute. Isn't that tomorrow?"

"It is..." Danny said.

"Which means..." Twilight said.

"IT'S HIS BIRTHDAY TOMORROW!" Pinkie Pie shouted. "This is very exciting, and I have to plan a three in one party, all due to us winning the trial, Dashie officially adopting Danny, and his birthday, and I can't wait to put this all together for Danny because he would need something to forget all about the unhappy memories he had with his former aunt and uncle and we're gonna have so much fun and good food for him and have the best time ever!"

"I'm sure that Danny will have the greatest birthday party ever," I said.

"I'm guessing that you will be coming back with us, Solar Eclipse?" Twilight asked.

"I would love to," said Solar Eclipse, "but I had isolated myself here to help people of this world. But, I will send the kid something that he might enjoy."

"Thank you..." I said to Solar Eclipse. "If it weren't for you, we wouldn't have saved Danny from those nasty people they tried to make his life miserable."

"I'm just happy to help," said Solar Eclipse.

"Indeed," said Princess Luna. "Now, let us return to Equestria." Luna then lit up her horn and we all black out.





I stirred around. I looked at myself. I was a pony again, and I was in my room. I also saw that Danny was a pony as well, laying down next to me. I looked at the clock in my room, seeing that it was 1:30 A.M., and then I laid back down. I held Danny close to me, and I would never let him go back to that awful life. I shut my eyes, going back to sleep.

I woke up later with Danny still asleep in my grip. I looked over at the clock. It was 7 o'clock in the morning. I then shook Danny awake and said, "Alright, Danny. It's time to wake up."

Danny stirred around, and then he woke up. He smiled and said, "Good morning, Mommy."

"Good morning, birthday colt," I told him. "Let's get you some breakfast, and then we'll head out."

"Okay, Mommy," said Danny.

We then got out of bed, and headed towards the kitchen. I had prepared him some cereal, and then we went up to his room, and we saw something that was put on Danny's bed. It was a present. There was a letter attached to the present. It was something from Solar Eclipse.

"A gift from Solar Eclipse?" I asked. "Let me see the letter." Danny handed me the letter, and I read it out loud.

Dear Danny,

I know you have been upset with losing your old mom and dad, so I decided to give you this.

Danny opened the present, and inside was some weird device and some headphones. Danny said, "Oh, cool. An iPod Touch and some wireless headphones." I then continued reading.

I have modified this iPod Touch and the headphones so they will not be able to run out of battery percentage. I've also put in all of your good family memories into the photo apps. I'm sure that you'll get all of the good memories you have the chance to make more happy memories. This iPod will also update it's software automatically.

"Wow," said Danny. "That was nice of Solar Eclipse to do so."

"Yeah," I said. "I wonder what he's up to right now."






(Third Person Point of View)


Solar Eclipse went into the prison where Danny's aunt and uncle were. They were put into a room where no one, not even the guards, will be able to see or hear them.

"What are you doing here?" asked Natasha. "You were the one who put is in jail and took away our chance of getting rich."

"I had to," said Solar Eclipse. "You were mentally insane. But now, you got what you truly deserve."

"Why were you helping those freaks!" said Reginald. "They're not even human!"

"I know," said Solar Eclipse. "I'm not human either." He then started glowing, brightening the room in a white light. He then revealed his true form to the two of them.

"You're a pony like them?!" asked Natasha.

"Yes," said Solar Eclipse. "Also, it was me who had put that truth telling spell on you during the trial. And also, you'll won't be able to stop telling the truth, revealing your deepest, darkest secrets, making it impossible for you to leave prison."

"What?!" asked Natasha. "You can't just do that!"

"I just did," said Solar Eclipse.

"We'll tell them that you are a magical pony, and that you have put that spell on us," said Reginald.

"Not gonna happen," said Solar Eclipse. "I also made it that you will never tell anyone about Equestria, or the ponies that are or from there." Then Solar Eclipse went back to his normal human form and then left the room. He could hear the two screaming in anger about what Solar Eclipse did to them. He then went out of the prison, and headed somewhere.






Ponyville, Equestria...


(Danny's Point of View)


We had just arrived in Ponyville, and...

"SURPRISE!!" shouted everypony in Ponyville. All of Ponyville was set up for a party in front of town hall.

"Happy Birthday, Danny!" said Pinkie Pie. We all saw her come up to us. "You have been having a tough time due to those people who were your aunt and uncle. I just thought that you would enjoy a truly happy party. Now that those cruel aunt and uncle of yours are finally in jail, and you have been given full custody to Rainbow Dash, you can finally be free to do whatever fun thing you can do!"

"I'm just happy that I'm finally free of them," I said.

"Let's have some real fun, Danny," said Mom. "Yo, DJ Pon-3! Turn up the tunes!"

I looked over at the unicorn DJ, and she started playing some music that was fun to dance to. We danced, had fun, and I got a lot of presents from my new friends. Also, Rarity got me some winter gear for when it starts snowing. A snow cap, a scarf, and some snow boots for my hooves.

It then went to later that night. I had a little too much sweets, and I was carried back to my new home. When we got inside, we were surprised to see that somepony was in our home.

"Solar Eclipse?" asked Mom. "What are you doing here?"

"I came here to see how much has changed since I left," said Solar Eclipse. "I see that nearly everything has changed. Except for one thing."

"And that is?" I asked.

"A brighter future," said Solar Eclipse. "I may keep myself isolated on Earth, but I'll make sure that every young innocent soul is given a proper home with a loving family. Hopefully, you will find true happiness here."

"Are you sure you don't mind sticking around here?" asked Mom. "You might want to consider moving back here."

"Sorry, young mare," said Solar Eclipse, "but I would rather do what's best, and stick around Earth. I also gotta make sure that Nightmare Moon is gone for good there. See ya."

Then Solar Eclipse just vanished. I then yawned. I was really tired.

"C'mon, Danny," said Mom. "Let's get you to bed." She then picked me up and then she took me to my room. I was really tired. Mom tucked me into bed and said, "Good night, Danny."

"Good night, Mommy," I said. I then fell to sleep.






(Rainbow Dash's Point of View)


I walked into my room, and I looked at the pictures that showed Danny having fun. He was having fun with his friends, enjoying all the sweets, and playing the games. I smiled at each of the pictures of Danny having fun.

I then looked over at the picture of me and my parents. I then spoke out loud, "Perhaps next weekend, I should probably introduce him to his new grandparents. I'm sure they'll get a little over excited about this, but it might cheer up Danny. He could use a fresh start."

I then put away all of the pictures and headed off to bed. I'm sure that from now on, Danny won't have to worry about any more problems.
