Canterlot's Savior

Evil brown yaks have arrived through the portal. Twilight Sparkle calls on her relative, John Wayne Cousins, to wipe them out. After that, they learn the yak invasion was just the beginning, and there is a greater plot afoot.

When I was younger, my relatives whisked me away to a far away land to train in the arts of different masters to one day protect the land that I love. so I was self taught by the old school masters. I trained under Solaire of the Sunlight Warriors in the art of Lighting Making and miracles, gun combat and climbing by Nathan Drake, as well as magic by Gandalf. Each of them I trained with told me I advanced faster than any known student and that there was something special about me that I will one day know it. I knew that one day I would have to put all these skills to use to help people as Canterlot's Savior. Because of my genetics and time magic, I did not age past 15 years old.

I am also the relative of Twilight Sparkle, and my girlfriend is Sunset Shimmer or will one day be. I don't remember my parents, and my relatives have looked after me since their disappearance. I retained no memory from before seven years old.

And this is my adventure, where a herd of ugly brown yaks come through the portal. I have to stop them and I will learn of my destiny and why I had been trained for but I will also learn of an evil plot that will endanger my world and all other worlds, and I will have to save it or die trying.

I am inspired by Jakub, even if he is not a good writer. This one is for you Jakub. PS I will also need a better cover picture.

Chapter 1: A Herd of Ugly Brown (Edited)

View Online

I woke up that morning with a smile on my face. It seems that today was going to be a good day because it was a weekend, and I did not need to go to school. I jumped out of bed and pulled on my Rayquaza patterned jeans and a Batman t-shirt before going to have a shower and wash up.

My name is John Wayne Cousins, and don’t get me wrong, I enjoy going to school, but I would rather stay home and play video games on my Samtendo Snitch, and not to brag, but I am the best Samtendo Snitch player in school. Just try me at Pokerman.

I open the window and breathe in a breath of fresh air and smile again. Today was the day I was going to confess my feelings to the love my life, Sunset Shimmer. I had known her since freshman year and I look at her in the corner of my eyes whenever she passes me. She was such a beautiful girl and today my relative, Twilight Sparkle, was going to help me out.

First I will lure her to a private place with Twilight’s help, then I will tell her all my feelings for her. This plan was going to work, because I came up with it.

Suddenly, there was a explosion and it came from the portal in front of Canterlot High School. I could see it from my house because I live next to school. Convenient, am I right?

There is a lot of ugly brown things coming from the portal and I quickly summon a lightning spear in my hands. I know how to do this cause Solaire taught me how. He was one of my teachers when I was younger. I'll go more into that later. The things began to trample the grass and trees around school and waving their four legs in the air like horses, but they weren't horses. They were yaks.

“Hey!” I shouted as I jump out of my window in a roll and pointing my lightning bolt at them. “What do you think your doing? This is my home Go back to Equestria.”

“Moo.” the first yak said. “We are here from Equestria to take over your world. This world belongs to the yaks now.”

Suddenly I got a phone call on my phone. I take it out of my pocket with my right hand which is of a Linguinei’s Haunted Mansion design, and I press answer.

“John! Yaks are coming from Equestria and I don’t know how to stop them!” Twilight said. “Can you help me?”

As her relative I could not say no, so I said yes.

With the lightning spear, I threw it at the first yak and it disintegrated into a pile of ash. The rest of the yaks took a step back in fear.

"Yeah come get some." I said.

The yaks are now running all over the place, which is bad. I can't let them escape or Celestia will be mad at me. Lifting my right hand, I call down lightning storm which turned about seven of them into ashes.

Solaire had taught me well. When I was learning under him four years ago, he said I was his best pupil and that no one had ever learnt how to create lightning miracles as fast as I did, and now I finally had a chance to put what I learnt to good use. It was the simple method of channeling the magic within ourselves into our hands to form that lightning. The more powerful the soul the more powerful the lightning. I could do it easily for some reason and that was why I was such a quick learner. Yeah, I have quite the confusing history, don't I? I'll explain more about myself later.

I also learned how to shoot guns and climb virtually anything from Nathan Drake, but I didn't bring my guns with me this time as I had left them in my closet in my room. Nathan told me that I had a knack for climbing and he was surprised at how fast I had learnt how to do it. Yes, I'm a fast learner.

One of the yaks charged me, but I timed my jump and I somersaulted over the yak, then stabbed my lightning spear into its back, disintegrating it into ash.

More of them attacked me, but they could’t stand up to my skills, because I had been trained well. One yak got too close to me, but I punched it in the face with my left hand and knocked it down on its side. Before it could get back up, I fired a bolt of lightning into it and it turned into ash. They kept trying to rush me, but they were trying in vain as I turned yak after yak into dust. They couldn’t learn their lesson.

“He is too strong!” one of the yaks said. “We must get away.”

I threw my lightning at four more yaks as they try to run away, but most of them managed to go back into the portal. I don’t know how to managed to come from Yakyakistan all the way to Ponyville. Something fishy must be going on.

Just then Twilight rode in on her scooter and smiled at me. “Good work John, you stopped the yak invasion. I don’t know what they're planning, but it is a good thing you're around.

“It was, but what are they doing here?” I asked her. “We must let Celestia know.”

"Yes, John." Twilight said. "I will write a letter to her immediately, but you go on ahead. You have a date with Sunset remember? You must go or you'll lose your chance with her.”

“Oh yeah, I almost forgot.” I said. Fighting the herd of ugly brown yaks made me forget my amazing plan for today. “So you're still going to get her alone for me, yes?”

“Yes, I 'll do it after I message Celestia.” she said.

“Ok cool.” I said as I headed into the school. I spent about an hour waiting in school, then I went to the bathroom on the first floor to neaten myself. First, I styled my hair back until it looked cool, like one of those guys on the magazine covers. Then I adjusted my clothes to make sure there were no wrinkles. Then I bent down and wiped ash off my boots, which were replicas of the boots that Nero wore from Devil May Cry 5, also known as DmC 5.

Then I tested my breath. I had to know if it smelled good, just in case I got to kiss Sunset. When I realized it smelled fantastic, I left the bathroom and waited at the front of school for Sunset Shimmer to come.

And then there she was, walking with Twilight as my relative rode on her scooter which I forgot to mention was the same scooter as the one Megan Fox rode on in Transformers.

“Yeah Sunset, I need help with my homework.” I heard Twilight say. “I just need you to go into school and wait for me while I go back home and get my homework.”

“Ok cool, I’ll just wait inside.” Sunset answered, then began walking up the front steps of school as Twilight turned her scooter around to go off. Before she left, she gave me a wink and a thumbs up. What a good relative she was. She was definitely my best relative, not forgetting Shining Armor or the others. They were also cool relatives.

I ducked back inside school and waited by the lockers, I leaned against them to look cool as I waited for Sunset to come in.

“Sunset.” I called as she entered the doors; she jumps when she heard her name called.

“John, what are you doing here?” She asked when she calms down.

“Well I dunno, I guess I was just in the area.” I replied cooly. I looked at her. She was really beautiful. “Hey, since I’m here do you want to maybe go catch a movie?”

“Are you asking me out?” Sunset asked.

I balled up my courage and breathed. This was my moment. This was why I was here. I was Bold and Brave. I couldn't back down and get all nervous now. I needed to speak what was in my heart, and I am going to do it. “I like you Sunset. Ever since the first day I saw you, I instantly fell in love. Would you like to go out with me.”

“Oh John, I never knew you felt this way.” She smiled. “Yes I would like to go on a date with you. You're such a amazing guy.”

It was as though I had rolled a A+ on my luck today. I decided to test it further to see just how far I could go.

“Can I kiss you Sunset?” I ask.

“Yeah, I don’t see why not.” She answered.

I checked my breath one more time before I walked to her. when I was sure it still smelt awesome, I kissed her and it was amazing. The best kiss I had ever experienced, though this was my first kiss.

In Yakyakistan, the yak king, Henry, sniffed at his left hoof, then growled and kicked his messenger in the head with his right hoof. The messenger rolled down the steps and groaned.

“You couldn’t even kill a boy with lightning hands. If you cannot defeat one human, then what is the point of our conquest of the worlds?” Henry said. “We have already manage to make our way to the portal with the help of our allies. Half our plan has been completed, but then a human boy stops you. You do not deserve to live. I will get someone else to do your job. Guards, take him to the prison.”

Two yaks came over and dragged the messenger away by the horns, leaving Yak King Henry by himself as he thought about the human who posed a threat to his plans of conquest.

“John Wayne Cousins...” He said to himself. He will remember this name from today on. No one was to stand in his way in complete domination. He had always wanted to conquer everything and be king of all. His dreams were brought to a reality when his benefactor mysteriously showed up and gave him the means to do so, but now this boy was here and he was making a mess of things.

He held up his Orb of Subjugation and looked to the side where there was a cage. Princess Celestia and Luna were inside and their eyes were black and white, and swirling like those tunnels in the clown house. No one could withstand the power of his weapon, not even the rulers of Equestria. This John Wayne Cousins was also going to regret stopping his plans.

Chapter 2: An Old Friend Returns (Edited)

I spent the rest of the day with Sunset Shimmer doing things with her. But then the day eventually turned to evening and I had to say goodbye to her for the day. I was sad, but I knew that we could meet again soon, which made me smile, because I liked Sunset a lot.

I went back home, which is right next to the school and sat down to watch some TV. I have a huge TV and a surround sound system engineered by myself. Nearby is a set of drawers that holds extra controllers of my Samtendo Snitch.

I flipped on my Samtendo and then got to playing Super Smash Sisters. Vice Principal Luna always said I was great at this game and I have beaten her at it countless times. I'm even better than some of the pros! Yeah, that good.

I usually play Imelda, who is an elf princess character, but today I decided to pick Marsh, a swordsman who looks like a girl, so that I can train my weaker characters. I decided to fight three level nine computer players and I selected them all as Browser, who is a big turtle monster. One by one I launched them off the map with my sword combos, at the same time, avoiding all their slow attacks.

Then there was a knock on the door. I got up and opened it and I was surprised to see it was Cream the Rabbit from Sonic the Hedgehog. I haven’t seen her in so long and last I knew, she was being abducted by Dr. Robotik, and I hadn't been able to rescue her. I thought she was gone forever, but here she was outside my door.

“Cream you're okay!” I said. “How did you get away!”

“It was awful, John.” Cream answered. “They brought me to this dark place and kept me there for so long. I lost track of the days I’ve spent in there. And then I managed to escape when the guard left the door open and I managed to find my way to you using your scent.”

"That's good." I said. "Do you want to live here with me?"

“I have no were else to go.” She said. "Sonic and the others are still busy fighting Robotnik's forces on their end."

“I have plenty of room.” I answered, then I brought her upstairs.

I live in a three story house on the side of Canterlot High School. My first floor is where all my entertainment is at. In the living room beside the front door, I have a sixty inch TV, which is where I normally chill and play on my Samtendo Snitch. The room is filled with beanbags and there is a small coffee table by the side where I put my drinks and snacks if I feel hungry.

Outside, I have my kitchen, which is sparkling clean, because I like to keep my food clean everyday. Don't want to catch any sicknesses, am I right? I cook from time to time, because I had been self taught by the greatest chefs in Canterlot and I know how to cook a killer spaghetti and mac and cheese.

Upstairs, I have my games room where I have all my bored games, like Dungeons and Dragons and Monopoly, which I usually win at. I also have a computer in there which is a Acer and it can watch youtube videos at high speeds with loading only taking one second or less. And then I have my bedroom upstairs also. I have Batman bed sheets on my brown wooden bed and I have a walk in closet where I keep all my coolest clothes. My DC Action figures sat on my gray and white table by the wall where I have mostly Batman figures, but I also have almost the entire Justice League there.

Next to it I have my second bedroom, where there is another bed. It's a bigger one, also with Batman bed sheets in case anyone would happen to come stay, like Sunset Shimmer, like I dreamed, but it can be used by Cream for now.

“You can sleep over there.” I said and I pointed to the bed. “This is your room now, Cream.”

“Thank you, John!” She gave me a hug and squeezed me. “I now have a place to stay after running for so long.”

I smile feeling good about myself and start going back down stairs, but I remember something. "Hey Cream, did you see any yaks today?" I asked.

"No I don't think so." Cream replied.

"Oh ok." I said and go back down to play Samtendo Snitch.

Cream comes to join me and I hand her a controller. She picks Marino, who is a plumber and we start battling. Being new to the game, I give her a little breathing room, but in the end, I still beat her every round. It was nice to have someone to play with. I had hoped it would be Sunset here, but now that she was my girlfriend, she could come here any time. Perhaps I should call her over now. Yes that sounded like a good plan, I can ask her if she wanted to stay the night.

Taking out my Linguine’s Haunted Mansion phone from my left pocket, I realize I have a few texts from Twilight. I guess I was too into the Game to realize it.

Dear John,

I hope your date went well, but we have important things at hand. I have gotten no word from Celestia or Luna and I’m not sure what's happened at Equestria, but if the yaks could come from the portal, then things are worse than we thought.

Meet me at my place and we’ll discuss our plans to fight them, Your relative, Twilight Sparkle.

I look at Cream enjoying herself on my Samtendo, then I look outside at the moon. It's late, so I soon chase Cream to go to bed and when she's sound asleep, I make sure to go quietly back to my room and lie down. Taking out my phone I message Sunset to see if she can watch over Cream for me tomorrow when I go to visit Twilight. She replies yes and with a smile on my face, I go to sleep.

Sunset came over early the next day and I gladly welcomed her in, because she was my girlfriend now.

“You're up early.” She said as I let her in.

“Just my usual routine.” I kissed her. “You look very pretty today.” Today I had on a Zekrom t-shirt, which is also one of my favorite Pokerman.

Sunset today was wearing a loose pink shirt that said, I’m Sexy; it looked good on her and she also had a purple skirt which looked even better. She smiled at me and kissed me back. I was tempted to continue kissing her there, but I knew I had a Job to do and I had to go do it.

“Cream, Sunset will be watching you.” I said to her in the living room. “I will go out for a while, then I will come back.”

“Hi Cream, it’s nice to meet you.” Sunset says.

“Nice to meet you.” Cream answered.

“Yeah we’re going to get along well.” Sunset said. She patted me on the shoulder. “Go on, you need to find out what is going on.”

“I’ll be back soon.” I kissed Sunset again and say goodbye to both of them, then I’m on my way to Twilight’s place.

I wave my hands at an empty parking lot and a ducati appears. I had learned magic from Gandalf, who one of my teachers. He taught me how to make things appear with magic. I could create anything I wanted. I had gone to Middle Earth after my time with Solaire in Lordran. Lordran was more aesthetically pleasing, but Middle Earth, by far, was safer. I'll talk more about Gandalf another time.
As I got on my bike, I notice there are all kinds of marks along the ground from the portal that weren't there yesterday. I rode my bike there to have a better look. The mud was fresh, which means that they had happened recently.

My phone rang in my pocket. I take it out to see it's my relative calling me. I wonder what she could want.

“John, the yaks are back!” Twilight said when I picked up. “I have sightings of them at the Canterlot Stadium. There breaking the place. You must go quick!”

“I’ll be there very fast, Twilight.” I answered.

I put my phone in my pocket and I twisted the ignition of my motorbike. I spin it around and then sped off down the Canterlot Streets. Those yaks are going to regret coming back again.

Chapter 3: Facing the brown yaks

I decide to go to sugercube corner to get something to eat. It is my fave place to eat because the Food is good and the place is really comfortable to eat in. But this time I couldn’t go in to Eat. I walk to the counter and I buy a donut from Mr. Cake and I eat it on the way to the Stadium.

Putting my hand on the front of the motorbike I channel my Lightning Bolts into it and it became faster and I can go at almost 100 miles per hour. I drive down the streets avoiding cars and pedestrians then I reach the stadium in only five minutes.

I get off my bike and wave my fingers and it disappears, Twilight is already waiting their for me a sniper rifle in her hands, it is a PSG 1 just the one Snake used on Shadow Moses Island.

“Nice weapon choice” I tell Twilight. “What are they doing now”

“There tearing the place into bits” she answered. “But I got my sights on them so when your ready let’s take them out.”

“I will go in from the front with my Lightning Bolts. You go up to the roof and snipe them.”

“Will do John” Twilight said. “So how was your Date with Sunset yesterday?”

“It was nice we did a lot of fun things and we enjoyed ourselves” I say. “She’s really hot. Hotter than any girl I’ve Ever Seen.”

“It’s good you like her John. Sunset’s been through so much is good that she has someone to love her now.”

“Yes I know what its like to been through a lot,” I say.

I never knew my parents and when I was young I lived with Twilight and her family but then they sent me away to train my skills because of some prophecy that was related to me. Solaire had been my first teacher and I have to say my favorite, he was a Personal friend of Twilight’s father. He had come to know him after a Warp in time happened and sent him to our World. They had been fast friends and he agreed to teach me because he saw the potential in me to be able to save Canterlot one day. None of us knew what it meant but maybe know we know what it means because of the herd of ugly yak. I had also met Nathan Drake when I was training with Solaire who took a liking to me and then thaught me how to shoot with guns and how to climb anything. After that I met the Boss, the woman famed for teaching Big Boss, and we managed to save her before she could get killed in the fight with Big Boss. In return she thaught me how to fight with my Hands. It was called CQC close quarters Combat and I got really good at it. My relatives introduced me to Gandalf after this and he decided to teach me some tricks of Magic, I could use magic to create anything I wanted. I enjoyed my time with all my teachers and they also enjoyed teaching me, now that I think of them I miss them too.

During all my training I had thaughts of my parents and have wondered who they were, even Twilight and her family didn’t know who they were, they only knew I was a relative and so they took me in when they found me. But i will think more about that later because now there are yaks to fight and I like to fight things because they help me with honning my awesome skills.

But I think back to Cream and what she is doing at my house because if we don't stop the yaks here and now then Cream might be in danger and Sunset would be to.

“I must do this for Sunset” I say to myself. I will keep Sunset safe and sound even if it means I have to Kill all the yaks.

Suddenly I hear loud screeching sound and I look up. There above my head is a nazgul flying around.

“John do you see that?” Twilight asks me. “What is that?”

“Their a nazgul get down!” I pull Twilight with me and we run to the side of the building.

The flying nazgul flies around and the yaks don’t seem bothered by it meaning that they are probably working together which is bad.

“What do the yak want from the nazgul that their working together?” I ask

“I don’t know John” Twilight replies. “But nazguls are Strong. If the yak are teamed with a nazgul then I am not Sure we can beat them”

“It must mean that Sauron is back” I say.

I had faced sauron back when Gandalf was training me. Frodo had been trying to get the Ring to Mordor and I had decided to team up with Gandalf to help them. He said I couldn’t be found by the others on the journey so I secretly helped from the Side. When Frodo was in trouble with fighting Golem, I used a bit of my magic and knocked Golem off into the lava where the Ring was destroyed and Sauron, I also went to the undying lands but came back because I had more Duties to do at the time. But now Sauron was back and he was teaming up with the yaks for some reason.

“Sunsets counting on us to beeat the yaks” I tell Twilight. “I will fight the nazgul. You hold the yaks in the perimeter”

“Right” she said. Twilight pulled back the slide on her sniper loading a bullet into the gun.

As Twilight climbed to the top of the stadium I stand my ground and walk out into the open to face the nazgul. It swirled and flew above me then without Warning it dived towards me with its arms raise to grab me.

“Oh no you don’t” I say and take out my lightsaber and swing at it. I had found one when I was wandering the beach one day. It is the same one as Anakin’s lightsaber and since then I have also thaught myself how to use it and I became quite good at it.

I slice off one of the nazguls hands then I do a spin around and I throw a Lightning Bolt at its face. In that instant it sparked and then disintegrated.

“Yeah” I shout. “Don’t mess with John Cousins”

I can hear Twilight shooting the yaks with her sniper rifle and I run over to help her to fight the yaks. They were trying to climb up to her spot but they had hooves so their not good at climbing.

I Lightning Bolt the closest one to ash then I jump on the second and pull its horns and that makes it kick another yak in the face and broke its jaw. I make my yak run into the rest and the ones I miss I finish off with Lightning but I rarely miss.

Twilight helps me finish off the other yaks that are further from me with her sniper and she was very good at aiming. She hit almost all off them in the head, Killing them instantly.

“Good job Twilight!” I say.

“Thank you John” she answered.

One of the Yak ahead had a wooden staff and from its staff it fired a Bolt of fire at me. I quickly leap off the yak I was on and it was set on fire as I flew in midair onto the bleacers where the yaks couldn’t climb on.

“You use magic huh?” I ask it.

“Yes,” it answered. “I trained in the mystical fire magic arts by my king Henry.”

I laughed. A yak called Henry. It was funny.

“Your magic won’t save you from mine because you come to take my world so I will have to take your life.”

The yak fired a Fireball at my, but I somersault to the next bleacher behind me then I grow a Lightning Bolt in my hand and throw it. The yak shot a Fireball at me and the fire and lightning hit each other in the air and creates a big explosion.

More Yak began to charge about but Twilight shot them with her sniper and I also use my Lightning to take them out, making them into ashes.

When the explosion cleared the wizard yak was now floating towards me with his magic and he fired four Fireballs at me. I skillfully jump and somersault away from each one, Everything was like in slowmo and when I had dodged them all I made a Lightning Stake in my hand then I dashed at the yak with all my strength.

“Yaaahh!!!!!” I shout making the yaks afraid of me. I throw a Lightning Spear at the wizard yak and it hit him, making the wizard yak esplode in a big flash. I hear the Other yaks all around me and they are panicing like crazy because of me and my awesome skills at fighting.

Taking out my lightsaber I swing it above my head, making a tornado with my force powers which I also have from training with Luke Sky Walker at his jedi temple. Luke told me I had the highestt midclhorian count in the history of the jedi, that is why I learned advanced skills really fast which surprised me. Using my force tornado I send it at the yaks But they are all over the place and not easy to pick them all up but I do it anyway because I’d been training this skill for so long and I’ve managed to master it. I am actually jedi master John Wayne Cousins, Luke gave it to me before I had been sent off to train under Gandalf but I don’t like to use my full title unless I’m with other jedi or Sith because I don’t want people to know what I am capable of immediately.

“What are the yaks Planning here” I say to a yak that has fallen from my force tornado and landed on the ground in front of me. I point my lightsaber at its face. “Tell me or I will kill you”

“Your world will be our.” it said to me. “You cannot stop King Henry he will bring ruin to your world and then he will take over and rule as king of your world. You will enjoy your world while you can. I will say nothing.”

“Thing is you have told me a lot” I smirk. The Yak gasps in shock. “How did you trick me into telling you?” the yak says. In horror.

“Jedi mind trick.” I say and tap my head with my right index finger. “Oldest trick in the book. Now you will either go to prison or you will die.”

“I rather die then go to prison!” The yak spat at my face.

“okay,” I say then I create a Lightning Stake in my left hand and threw it at the yak below me. It turned into ash below my feet and I now watch it get blown away in the wind.

“John your alright” Twilight says as she drops down from her sniping spot. “Did you get any information about the Yaks and there invasion?”

“Yeah” I say with a cool tone. “The Yak king Henry is trying to invade earth with his Army of yaks. But we will stop them won’t we Twilight?”

“Of course we will. And then we’ll rescue Celestia and Luna too.” Twilight said. “We’ll send them back to Yakyakistan packing.”

“Yes,” I reply. “Anyway, shall we get something to eat. I’m Hungry.”

“Sounds like a plan John” Twilight agrees and we head off from the Stadium.

Chapter 4: Yaks on the Docks

I woke up the next morning, and now it's Monday and I have to go to School. I rub my eyes and yawn then I look to my left where Sunset Shimmer is lying. She blinked her eyes then stretched one arm over to me.

“Morning, John.” She smiles at me.

“Morning, Sunset.” I smile back and I hold her hand.

I had let her stay the night because she and Cream had bonded so well when I was fighting yaks with my relative. Sunset was also happy to stay the night, because she always stayed alone, so it was nice that she had someone to stay with now, plus, my house was much cooler.

“We should get changed and get ready to go to school.” Sunset got up and stretched.

“Can I watch you?” I asked. I like to look at her. She was such a beautiful girl.

“Sure. I don’t see why not.” She shrugged.

As I watch Sunset change into her regular clothes, I realize she is even prettier than I thought because her body was so amazingly shaped.

“You want to have a shower together?” I asked, trying out my A+ luck, but today it must be lower, because she said there was no time.

After I watched her, I also changed. Then we had a quick breakfast of Coco Pops that I used my magic to make. I go to check on Cream before we leave and she is still sleeping with a smile on her face.

“Aww...” I said, then closed the door gently. She looked so adorable, curled up in bed like that.

Today is the first day of the week, and I am feeling good about myself. Some people hate Mondays, but I like them because it means I get to see my friends at school, even if I didn’t like going to school to learn. I already know everything, so what was the point?

I leave my house, with Cream still sleeping, and go next door to Canterlot High. I am always early, because I like to watch people arrive, but I’m not a stalker; I just like watching them.

I sit down on the steps of CHS and take out my phone to play phone games on it. My favorite is Candy Crush and I am so good at it that I beat all the levels, but I still like to play it. You could say I’m a master at it, which is another reason I was chosen to defend the world from evil, anyway. Sunset sat down beside me to watch and I let her try for a bit, but since it's her first time playing, she’s not so good at it yet.

Soon, the school bell rings and we all go back into the school for class to begin. Since it’s Monday, a lot of people are kind of sleepy. Unless they’re not.

Sunset was in most of my classes so before we made our way to our seats, I gave her one more kiss because she was an amazing kisser, and I enjoyed the touch of her lips on mine.

Anyway, I sat there listening to the teacher talk about teacher stuff. I don’t study all that often but I do so well on all my subjects. I think it’s because of all my training with my mentors that I learn things quickly and don’t need to practice as much as other people, but I like that, because it means I get to spend more time playing my Samtendo Snitch instead of studying; studying is just really boring.

My teacher, Mr Cranky Doodle, is a very grumpy man. He's always talking about a woman in his life that he met, but then lost. He’s my English teacher, and he’s always assigning us boring assignments that I always end up scoring full marks on anyway.

The rest of the morning goes by smoothly without any sign of yaks invading from the portal or any more of Sauron’s minions. I still wonder what Sauron was doing with the yaks and how he even managed to come back.

I watched the One Ring fall into the fires of Mt Doom. I saw to it myself when Frodo was in trouble. Sauron shouldn’t have been able to come back, but somehow, he has, and that’s left me puzzled as to how and why.

Was there something darker behind this whole yak invasion? Perhaps I should’ve asked that yak at the stadium what they were teaming up with Sauron for.

“John,” Mr Cranky Doodle called. “Pay attention, please.”

“Sorry. I will, Mr Doodle.”

But in truth, I wasn’t going to start paying attention now. I already knew everything there was to learn. Sometimes it made me wonder why I’m even still going to school. By age seven, I already had enough education to surpass even Albert Einstein, and my education wasn’t only in science, but in everything, including alchemy and culinary arts.

Instead, I let my mind wander on different speculations on what Sauron and the yaks might want. I could come up with many different deductions, but with no concrete evidence, I couldn’t say anything for sure yet. I had to wait for the next attack. Or… perhaps I could actually bring the fight to them instead.

Yes, that was an idea. But that would have to wait till after school. After boring, old school.

As soon as the final bell for school rang, I was out of school in a flash and by flash, I meant literally like the Flash. With the lightning magic Solaire taught me, I could use it to boost my speed and run out of class just like the Flash, or probably faster than him.

I reach the portal, whipping out my phone to call my relative, Twilight. She’ll have some information for me.

The phone rang for five intervals before she picked up on the other end.

“John, good timing, I was just about to call you!” She said on the other end. “I’ve got more reports on the yaks! It seems they’ve now moved over to the Canterlot harbor and they’re trashing that place too! I’ll meet you there in five.”

“Make it two.” I smirk.

With my lightning powers and my innate running speed, I hightail it to the harbor, arriving there in just one minute and twenty seconds. I know, I’m really fast.

While I waited for my relative, I decided to recon the area first. Using the skills I learnt from Nathan Drake, I climbed up to the top of one of the storage warehouses and materialized a pair of binoculars to spy on the area with.

At first, there didn’t seem to be anything out of place, but then I realized a few dark shapes under the water’s surface and I zoom in on that spot. From under the water’s surface emerged a trio of yaks, each of them with their own snorkels and goggles, now climbing up onto the docks. The third one, the one at the back, hauled up a sack of sorts behind itself, dragging it along the cement floor to the warehouse next to mine.

“Just what could you be planning here?” I say to myself.

Just then, three nazgul spawned near the warehouse, walking slowly towards the yaks. The yak with the pack threw it forward, opening it and revealing its contents to the nazgul. I couldn’t see what was inside from this angle, but I had a way of finding out, once Twilight got here.

Suddenly, more yaks erupted from the various warehouses around the harbor, breaking through the shutters and doors and began kicking at the walls and crates with their hooves. One even knocked a barrel of oil over and cast a fireball at it, the ensuing explosion setting half a warehouse ablaze.

“Twilight, where are you…” I look at my Spongebob Squarepants watch. She’s taking too long.

Then I heard a shriek below, followed by a crash. Unfortunately the yaks heard it too. I looked over the side and saw Twilight had crashed her bike into an arrangement of oil drums, with one now pinning her down.

“Guess it’s time to save the day now.”

Readying my lightning magic, I threw one before I even landed, vaporizing a yak on the spot as they arrived around the corner to see what had created the noise.

“It’s him!” One of them shouted, but then he too disintegrated from my lightning.

Using the force, I threw the oil drum off Twilight, then I helped her up. “You have to be more careful, Twi.”

“Thanks, John.” Twilight rubbed at her chest, then unslung her sniper rifle off her shoulder and loaded it. “I still need to work on my riding. Not everyone’s as skilled as you.”

“I suppose not.”

“Come on. Let’s take them out. I’ll go high. You go low.”

“Right.” I nod, then I left the alley we were in, pulling out my lightsaber.

Back when I was training with Luke, he had given me the name, Joe-Hnh, so that the aliens could understand my name, because John Wayne Cousins was too long of a name in my language. He had taught me everything he knew about the Jedi and the Force and he had mentioned I had such power, power he had never seen before. He was a little afraid of teaching me after that, but after convincing him to continue, he did, and I eventually rose to the rank of Jedi Master.

“Congratulations, Master Joe,” Luke had told me that day. “You have exceeded all my expectations and may the Force be with you in all your future endeavors, be it here or elsewhere…”

Wanting to do my master proud, I used my lightning to speed out towards the yaks, and I caught them by surprise as they rounded the corner, swinging my lightsaber at them so fast they didn’t even have time to say anything. The few yaks that had approached us were now in pieces on the floor and then I saw the three nazguls approaching me, followed by another small herd of ugly brown yaks.

“It’s John Wayne Cousins!” Another wizard yak shouted. “We must kill him for King Henry!”

“Henry…” I laugh. I will never get over that name as the king of these ugly brown yaks.

As the yaks charge, I dance between them, skillfully avoiding their horns and hooves, then cut up at them, severing their body parts and killing them with ease. From above, Twilight helps me to snipe at a few of them, taking them out with mostly headshots, though she did miss a few and almost hit me with one.

The first of the nazgul phased toward me, wielding a fairly large hammer. I swung at it with my lightsaber, cutting through it in a flash of light, but then it reappeared behind me and tried to finish me off with a head strike. I smirk and roll back underneath its legs, then stab up, vanquishing the spectre as more yaks advance on me. Twilight got the first one between the horns, then I summoned my lightning magic. As a storm swirled above me, I called down lightning strikes, shocking and vaporizing the whole herd of yaks in that swift moment, with the remaining two nazgul avoiding my attack.

Twilight sniped at one, but her bullet went right through the nazgul and it looked up at her. In a flash, it was beside her, grabbing her around the neck and lifting her over the edge.

“John, help!” She cried out.

“Uh oh,” I said.

With my lightning magic, I speed up the side of the building to rescue her, but the other nazgul intercepts my path, swinging a broadsword at my face. I backflip away, then as my feet touch the bottom of the building, I speed up again, crashing right into the nazgul and spearing a lightning spear through its face. The nazgul shakes and explodes into a burst of sparks, then I arrive before the final nazgul and Twilight.

“Unhand my relative!” I point my lightsaber at it.

“First, you will leave the yaks alone.” The nazgul said.

“What are you planning?” I ask. “What’s going on? Why do you want to help them?”

“So many questions.” The nazgul replied. “Your world has something the yak king and Lord Sauron want. “Now surrender and I will give you back your relative.”

“Don’t do it, John!” Twilight shouted and kicked at the nazgul, but nothing happened. “Don’t let them win!”

“I never intended to.” I said.

I ran at the nazgul in a flash of lightning, at the same time it decided to drop Twilight. As I reach it, I cut up with my lightsaber and vanquish the nazgul, then with Solaire’s magic, I race down the building and catch Twilight before she can even fall halfway. Yeah, I was really fast and really good at what I do, right?

“Thanks, John. You’re amazing.” Twilight said as I put her down on the ground.

“Yeah.” I look at the thrashed docks. “But what do the yaks want? What can they be after in our world?”

“I don’t know, John. But we will find out eventually.”

“Yes, we will find out.”

With nothing left to do for the day, I decided to go home and play on my Samtendo Snitch with Sunset and Cream.

Chapter 5: The Plans of Henry the Yak King

“So they want something in our world?” Sunset asks me as we lie down in my bed, cuddling up under the bed sheet. “What do they want?”

“I don’t know yet.” I answered. “But Sauron is also back and someone must have brought him back. I don’t think it’s the yaks, but I could be wrong, but I don’t think so. They won’t have the know how to do it. Someone else must be doing evil too.”

“Shouldn’t we save Equestria too?” Sunset asked and put a hand on my chest. “If the yaks have made it here, they must have beaten Equestria.”

“Yes. We must go there and save them.” I answered. “Celestia and Luna need me to save them.”

“I will cover for you in school tomorrow.” Sunset leaned closer and kissed me. “I don’t even know why you go anyway. You already know everything.”

“I was just wondering the same in school today.” I kiss her back, then wrap my arms around her. “I will go to Equestria first thing tomorrow. For now, how about another round?”

“Oh you.” Sunset grinned. “You need your rest.”

I kissed her again and she changed her mind.

I made sure I have everything I needed as I stood before the portal. I had to double back home once because I forgot my lightsaber but now that I had it, I was ready to go through.

Again, Sunset would look after Cream for me while I’m gone, but I hope not to be gone for long. All I have to do is save Equestria anyway.

Nodding to myself, I walk through the portal, appearing down a colorful tunnel and then appearing on the other side suddenly. I look at my hands to make sure I’m still human, then I run off through Twilight’s castle, using my lightning magic to speed away to Canterlot. I have princesses to save.

I arrived in Canterlot in, I’d say about seven minutes, which isn’t bad, and that’s when I noticed the place had seen better days. There were buildings knocked over and there was almost not one building standing that wasn’t broken. Everything was thrashed, and I could only guess who had done it.

“Those yaks…” I deduced with my super detective skills.

I stop my lightning and continue the rest of the way like a normal human. When I arrived at the castle, I had been right to do so. Instead of the usual pony guards standing around the castle, there were yaks instead. Yaks in grey armor and long red plumes sticking out the back of their helmets, some of them holding spears and bows. The green yak flag was hung down over the front of the castle.

Using my X-ray vision, I looked into the castle. There were even more yaks inside, but I wasn’t afraid. It only made me more determined to find out who was behind all this and put a stop to their evil plans. Crouching low, I sneak past all the guards on the outside, keeping just below their eyes so that they couldn’t see me.

“Did you see the new guys?” One of the yaks said to another as I crouched past. I stop to hear what they have to say.

“Yes, I heard they are mean fellows.” The other yak replied. “Better than what we can do.”

“Nothing is better than yaks.” The first one answered.

Nothing except me. I think, plotting how to get into the castle and rescue the princesses. But I do wonder what it is that can be better than yaks.

Waltzing past more of them towards the throne room, I then realize that I shouldn’t be sneaking past them, because here they are in Canterlot where they shouldn’t be. I should be getting rid of them instead.

From where I was, I brought out two lightning spears in both hands, then I threw them at two yaks who were standing by the side. They became dust in an instant. A few more yaks ran in from the doorway I had come from, but I vaporized one more in a flash.

“It’s John Wayne Cou-”

I didn’t let him finish and vaporized him too.

It seemed that more yaks had heard him, because they suddenly came in from around both sides of the hallway, with one wizard on each side.

“Kill him!” One Wizard said and fired a fireball at me.

I skillfully dodge it with a slide, then I use the Force to pull one side of the hallway’s yaks to me. The wizard flew the furthest and I destroyed him with one of my lightning spears.

It was nice to be able to throw them freely. That was another thing I was thankful for having, that unlimited magic points. Solaire had also been shocked to know that I could fire off so many lightning spears. He told me the average amount a human could use was twenty, but I could do it as many times as I wanted. I also didn’t know why, but Solaire had said I have a great destiny ahead, whatever it was, and so I had been blessed with more magic, or something.

The wizard behind filled the hallway with fireballs, but I leap over the other yaks on the other side and use them as cover, watching as the herd of ugly brown is set on fire. The danced around and tried to put out the fire, but then I take out my lightsaber and finish them all in one swipe.

“Bring in the others!” One yak yelled behind them.

The wizard stepped forward and fired more magic fire at me, but with my lightsaber, I waited till they were close and then cut them into two. I made my way towards them, cutting through all the fireballs, emerging unscathed each time as I got closer and closer. I grip my lightning behind me and after the next fireball I cut, I let it go and speed towards the wizard yak in that instant, catching it off guard and cutting it in half with my lightsaber. The remaining yaks were easy, but there were so many of them. It felt as though I had killed at least three thousand of them by now, and they hadn’t even managed to scratch me.

“You should just surrender. You can’t win.” I said.

“Release them!” One of the yaks said, then I cut its head off.

But suddenly from below, there was a faint rumbling. The yaks around me suddenly scurry away, as though they were running from something other than me.

A gray meaty arm burst out from the ground under me and tried to grab me, but I leapt away before it could touch me. Then the rest of its body followed and I realized what it was. It was a troll from Sauron’s army. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen one, but their size gets me every time.

The troll roared and then tried to smash me with its arm, but I dash through it, cutting off three of its meaty fingers. It roared again and spat at me, but I didn’t let it bother me and I threw a lightning spear at its belly. It fell back as a hole appeared through it.

“Easy peasy.” I say to myself. Nothing was too tough for me.

With all the yaks gone for the moment, I can go to the throne room, so I do. I throw the doors open hard and I walk up the carpet. There is a single yak sitting on the throne and he has a ball in his hoof. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are in a cage beside him and their eyes are swirling.

“Release them and leave Canterlot!” I say and point my lightsaber at him.

“You are the one, John Wayne Cousins?” He asked. “You don’t look very heroic.”

“Trust me, I am very heroic.” I continue to point my lightsaber at him.

“You won’t be very heroic once I’m done with you.” He says. He lifts his ball. “Behold the Orb of Subjugation!”

It began to swirl a black and white and before I know it my eyes are also doing the same and I drop my lightsaber hand back to my side, though I still kept a hold on the lightsaber and it didn’t drop or turn off.

I suddenly find myself in a dark world where the only platform I’m standing on is a gray land of crags and there is a big tv screen to my left in the sky, where I am able to see myself being hypnotized by Henry’s ball.

“What happened?” I ask.

There is no one else in here but me, which probably meant everyone who got hypnotized would have their own world to inhabit while they watch themselves.

“Now how do I get out of here?” I ask myself.

There isn’t any doors or anything. This was within my mind.

I try to get out, throwing lightning spears all over the place to see if I could destroy anything, but nothing happens. I’m still here. Trapped.

“It is no use, you cannot escape!” Henry’s voice boomed from around me. “The Orb of Subjugation traps you to my bidding for all eternity. Unless I want to free you. It is how I have taken over Canterlot from the princesses and how I have also taken over the griffon and dragon lands. And it will also be how I will take over your human world too and everything beyond.”

“Oh.” I said. “But I will stop you.”

“You may be strong, John Wayne Cousins, but you are not stronger than the Orb of Subjugation.” He said.

“I am going to prove you wrong.”

I gather up all my lightning magic I can behind myself, tapping deep into my mana, holding it all back. When I felt it was enough, I release it all and it propels me into the tv screen with overwhelming force, shattering it in that instant. I suddenly find myself back in the throne room, with broken glass around my feet and a shocked yak king watching me with the ball in his hoof.

“How?” He asks. “You couldn’t. You shouldn’t. There’s no way you could have broken from my enchantment. Just who are you?”

“I am John Wayne Cousins.” I said, then I suddenly created a sunlight spear in my hand. It was bursting with power. “And I am Canterlot’s savior!”

Henry raised his orb up to try to subjugate me again, but I threw my sunlight spear and it pierced right through the orb as it started to activate and it blew into a million shards and threw him back against the throne with a smash. Then he slides to the ground and groans.

I watched him try to get up, then I walked over and used my magic to create a desert eagle pistol in my hand, pointing it at Henry’s ugly brown head.

“Your reign is over.” I said. “Now tell me why you teamed up with Sauron and how he’s even still alive.”

“It’s because…” Henry smiles. “This is all a diversion and you know nothing, John Wayne Cousins.”

“What are you talking about.” I point my desert eagle at his head.

“It’s already done. Ask your princesses.”

Before I check on the princesses I know Henry will try to run when I turn my back on him, so I put a bullet between his horns first and he falls to the ground with the bang of my gun.

Princess Celestia and Princess Luna no longer have the swirly eyes but they’re rubbing their heads and groaning.

“Are you two okay?” I ask them.

“Oh good, John, you’re here to save us.” Princess Luna said.

“We knew you would. You were trained to save us all.” Princess Celestia rubbed her nose. “But we might be too late. Henry was only but a pawn.”

“Yes, he was working with Sauron.” I throw my gun and it disappears back into my magic inventory. “He says you know why.”

Princess Celestia nodded. “Sauron needed us out of the way. It seems after you had destroyed him at Mount Doom, Gwyn, the Lord of Sunlight from Lordran came and brought him back to life with the power of the sun that they have taken from me and Luna. Sauron intends to rebuild his army and with Gwyn’s help and without a weak point such as the one ring, it will be difficult.”

“I can handle it.” I squeeze my fists. “I have been prepared by you and all my mentors to one day save the world. This must be it. I will do Solaire proud and defeat Gwyn too. I will travel to Lordran tomorrow.”

“Don’t forget your relative.” Celestia reminded me.

“Of course not.” I smile. Twilight was an important family member and she was there to support me. I wouldn’t go anywhere without her. “Don’t worry. I’ll get your powers back and I’ll beat all the bad guys.”

Chapter 6: Storming Anor Londo and A Doctor's Return

“You have to what?” Sunset asks me after school the next day.

“I have to go to Lordran to stop Gwyn from supplying Sauron with the sun power that he stole from Princess Celestia so that I can save all our worlds.” I repeat to her.

“Who’s Gwyn?” Sunset asked.

I breathe. “Gwyn is the Lord of Sunlight from the Kingdom of Lordran, one of the four who found the Lord Souls within the First Flame of life. I had defeated him years ago and lit the First Flame to extend the Age of Fire, but for some reason, he’s back now and he’s teaming up with Sauron to take over everything and everyone.”

“Oh. Then safe travels, John.” Sunset kissed me on the mouth, then gave me a hug. “I’ll take care of Cream while you’re gone. Don’t worry.”

“Yes I wish you could come with me. But I want my girlfriend safe.” I told her, then kissed her back.

As we stand by the portal, I continue to kiss her, not wanting to leave her, but I know I have to. Twilight stood by the statue, sniper rifle slung over her shoulder and waited for me to finish my time with Sunset.

“I love you, John.” Sunset told me when we finally had enough with kissing.

“I love you too, Sunset. You must stay safe here while I go defeat the enemies.”

I wave to her, then I proceed to the portal where Twilight still is. “Ready, relative?”

Twilight nodded. “Ready.”

Together, we went through it, appearing back in Equestria. Taking ahold of Twilight once we were outside the castle, I used my lightning magic to speed away from Ponyville, running past ponies and buildings and forests until we were out of Equestria. It only took me, according to my math whiz and timekeeping skills, six minutes and forty five seconds to leave Equestria’s borders, and then it took me another seventeen minutes and thirteen seconds to get to Lordran’s.

As I stood there looking out to the yellow clouds and the looming spiky spires, I eye the main castle, which we can see from here. It was a pointy building, with more spires on the sides with brown spikes running down them, and stained glass windows depicting heroes of the golden Age of Fire along with some that I had shattered when I snuck in there to fight Ornstein and Smough. They were still broken from my last visit there. The entire golden structure looked like something out of Harry Potter. It stood there, proud in the sunlight, which hovered high above its highest structure, burning bright. A little too bright. Gwyn had stolen the sun and moon powers from Princess Celestia and Princess Luna and we had to get them back before he and Sauron could use it for evil.

I remember the last time I was here and I had defeated Gwyn at the Kiln of the First Flame, a little south from here. It hadn’t been an easy of a fight, because I couldn’t use what Solaire taught me against him, though I could still use what my other mentors taught, and I had defeated Gwyn when I used magic to create desert eagles in both my hands. All that had been so long ago and I had become a Lord of Cinder for a while after I lit the First Flame. In that time, I had done what I could to help Lordran prosper, and with my rule, there were zero hollows and everyone was human and happy, but it seems with Gwyn’s return, he had turned it back into the trash it was. I spied a group of hollows trying to breach a dark gray gate, but silver knights shot them down with arrows almost instantly, with the dragonslayer greatarrows going through the bodies and knocking them off the brick bridge.

“Think you can shoot them from here?” I asked my relative.

She unslung her sniper and took aim through the scope. “As long as you keep them off me, yes.”

“Then let’s go kill us a Lord of Cinder.”

“Technically because of the sun, he’s Lord of Sunlight again.”

“That’s right.” I answer.

As I speed down the side of the cliff to the spires of the place, I imagine Sauron’s armies marching across the world and I cannot allow it. I trained to one day protect everything I care about. I can’t fail. I won’t fail. I was the only one who could stop this, and if I did fail, everything would end. I must not.

I suddenly flashback to the time my relatives had found me. It was on a dark street somewhere outside Canterlot. I was sitting there, not knowing what had happened, my memory of the night gone. My relatives suddenly appeared and they were looking for my parents first, but said something about being too late. I still had no idea what was going on as I was only seven then. Since that day, they had sworn to protect me and teach me everything they knew, because they were Canterlot’s Defenders and Twilight and Shining became my best relatives, but Twilight was my best best relative, because she helped me the most and she helped make Sunset my girlfriend, whom I liked a lot.

After learning for three years, they said that I had already learnt everything they could teach me, so I would have to move on to other teachers, and Solaire had been my first. He was almost like a father to me, but sadly, he had gone insane and lost his mind and soul. Just thinking about it made me want to just curl up and cry. It was a painful memory and I felt as though I was going to lose my mind just thinking about it.

I stop running for a few seconds to catch my breath and calm myself before I can get any panic attacks. I don’t want to get any now, because I had a mission to complete and a panic attack would just stop me from acting in the right mind.

Now that I was back in Lordran, it became more apparent that I missed Solaire. This was where he had taught me, this was where I had learnt to hone the best of the plethora of skills I mastered.

“You are the very best pupil and friend I have ever had.” Solaire told me on the last day of my training. “I do not know where your power comes from, but you have a power no one, not even Lord Gwyn has. I know you are destined for greatness. Perhaps you are the one to bridge all our worlds. The one to save all of us.”

Remembering Solaire’s encouraging words put me at ease and I manage to let out a calming sigh and loosen my nerves and my panic begins to subside. Solaire had been there for me every step of my training. I would honor him by once again vanquishing Gwyn and this time, making sure he stayed gone.

I approached the gates, my replica Nero boots clinking on the polished marble bricks that formed the main bridge. The silver knights spot me and I hear the all too familiar sound of their greatbows being drawn.

I take out my lightsaber and I take a deep breath and then close my eyes and wait. As soon as I hear the thwack of their heavy bowstrings, I slide my first foot backwards, then I slash in a diagonal attack forward and my lightsaber cut through two of their arrows just like that. I open my eyes and smirk. The gate ahead suddenly slammed shut, falling from above and going into the beige gold ground below, sealing the entrance to Anor Londo.

“Twilight, now.” I say in my mind.

As the Silver Knights drew their bows again, I heard a gunshot from the mountain range behind me and one of the knight’s helmets splintered into pieces and he fell down and off the ramparts he was standing on, disappearing from view.

“Nice shot, relative.” I said.

The other one is unfazed and readies his bow again. I heard another gunshot, but this silver knight stepped aside, with the bullet just missing his cloak. He spun around to a knee and then fired the arrow at me again, but I skillfully cut it in half with my lightsaber, then I lifted my hand and used the Force to pull his greatbow from his grip. The force of the pull also sent the knight tumbling off his rampart into the foggy bottom below.

“Nice assist, Twi.” I said to my relative.

“Of course. It is what we were trained to do, remember?” She said into my earpiece. “We are defenders of Canterlot. And you’re the savior.”

“Yeah.” I answer.

I think of my parents again and it comes up blank. I don’t even remember what they looked like or who they were. If I was to be Canterlot’s savior, then they had to be important people, but I couldn’t remember, and my relatives also didn’t want to tell me. I’d ask Twilight, but she was also too young to remember.

I sigh as I look to the gates of Anor Londo. There was no use thinking about my parents now. They weren’t around anymore and I couldn’t remember them. I should focus on the task at hand first. Now Lordran was a big place, but I didn’t need to explore all of it. All I had to do was find Gwyn and end him so that Sauron would lose the sun powers and be weak enough to kill.

With my lightsaber in my right hand, I stab it through the large iron gates and I begin to draw a perfect circle on it, and when my circle was completed, I give the cut out portion of the gate a kick and it fell with a loud clang, the sound ringing across all of Anor Londo.

Suddenly an arrow flies out from where I cut the gate and it somehow manages to catch me off guard, so my amazing reflexes didn’t kick in. It hit me in the chest and pierced me and knocked me back, almost sending me falling off the bridge if I hadn’t caught on to the side.

“I’m coming, John!” I hear Twilight yell.

I clutch at my chest as blood begins to pour from my serious wound. With most of my strength, I pull the greatarrow from myself and let it fall off while I struggle to keep myself from falling too. I am bleeding a lot, but I first needed to climb back up to have solid ground to use my miracles.

Twilight finally arrived at the bridge and she began running to me, but more arrows come from beyond the gate and she threw herself aside to avoid them. The smash into the ground beside her and spit up rubble and dust over her, but at least she was unscathed.

I used my magic to create a desert eagle and fire wildly towards the knights in hopes of scaring them off. With my A+ luck, I managed to hit one of them in the head and he fell off the battlement, while two more ducked behind the wall to hide from my bullet spray.

With my diversion, Twilight reached me and she pulled me up with all her strength, fighting to get me back on the ground. When she pulled me high enough, I released my desert eagle back into my magical inventory, then I bent on a knee and cast a great heal, healing myself of my serious wound.

“John, you’re ok.” Twilight said and unslung her sniper rifle.

“Yes, now I am.” I replied, then I search through my inventory and I retrieve a bottle of Swag-Aid and I drink it. The cherry flavor is cool on my tongue and it pricks my taste buds and fills my mouth with an awesome taste and I am pleased with it. “Ahh, that’s the stuff.”

Then I turn my attention back to the silver knights with the greatbows. There were still more inside the gate and they were on battlements and spires past here, each of them already holding a bow and arrow at the ready.

I rub at my chest. It still hurt a little even if I healed it, but it was better than walking around with it sticking out of me.

“Twilight, give me some cover. I’ll work my way over and take them out from close range and when I get closer, we’ll switch and I’ll draw their attacks while you snipe at them from afar.”

“Got it. Lead on, John.”

I nod, and so began our assault on Anor Londo.

Sunset Shimmer wasn’t quite enjoying herself as she played on John’s Samtendo Snitch with Cream. Only part of her mind was focusing on the game, which was Super Smash, the other part of her mind was thinking of her most amazing boyfriend, John. She didn’t know how he was faring over in Lordran. Sunset knew he was strong and he was destined to save Canterlot, but she still couldn’t help but be afraid that something bad could happen to him.

From freshman year, she already had a crush on him because of how kind and caring he was for those around him, even with her trying to take over the school when she was evil. John had always been a nice kid and that somehow warmed her heart to the point of developing feelings for him.

Because of what she had done, she had never dared reveal those feelings, but things took an unexpected turn when he asked her out the other day. Sunset had been overjoyed to know he felt the same way and in only a matter of days, it was weird to be apart from him for so long. She missed his presence, his touch, his warmth, his strong body by her side in bed at night.

“Sunset, something on your mind?” Cream asked, looking up from the game.

Sunset sighed. “Just thinking about John. I hope he’s ok.”

“John can do it.” Cream told her. “When I first met him, he had helped free me from Dr. Robotnik.”

“Eggman?”

“Yeah, that’s the one.” Cream said. “He appeared out of nowhere and he clubbed the mad doctor in the face. And then he got me and we got out of there.”

“Didn’t you just escape from the doctor?” Sunset asked.

Cream nodded. “He got me again another time, John got outsmarted and Dr. Robotnik escaped with me in tow.”

“John? Outsmarted?” Sunset shook her head. “No way.”

“I know, it was hard to believe John was outsmarted. He’s the smartest human I know in the whole universe.” Cream said. “But Robotnik got me and John hadn’t been able to find me since because I was hidden away very well. But I never stopped thinking he cared about me. He was my friend, and John would do anything for his friends.”

Sunset thought back to the last few days and nights they had spent together and smiled. It had been brief, but Cream was right. “Yes. Yes he would.”

Just as Cream hit the punch button on her controller, a giant gloved fist suddenly burst through the side of the house, breaking down the blue wall and damaging the wooden coffee table and the TV. The fist opened up and reached for Cream, but Sunset was faster and threw the rabbit off the off white beige couch and did a jumping kick on the arm.

“Oho, you have a new friend, I see.” A voice said outside. The rest of the robot tilted in through the hole in the wall. It was Dr. Robotnik, and the robot he was in was a silver color, with a glass dome around his cockpit, and its body was painted red, and it had huge cloth gloves on its hands. Its shoulders had two rockets each and then there were lights on its chest, and there was one tank on its back where there was a glass window and Sunset could see something really bright coming from it, which shone in at her face. “You won’t escape again, Cream.”

“Not if I have anything to say about it.” Sunset said and grabbed Cream around the waist and ran, leaping over the off white beige couch as Robotnik grabbed it and threw it at the TV, breaking it even further.

“Come back here!” The mad doctor screeched and gave chase.

Sunset ran up the staircase, heading for the third floor as Robotnik smashed through the wall to the hallway, then grabbed part of the staircase’s brown wooden railing made of mahogany wood and threw it at them. The wood smashed against the top step and splintered into a thousand pieces, with one nicking Sunset in the back of her right calf as she skipped past the stairs and around the corner to the next flight.

She had only cleared the stairs to the third floor when Dr. Robotnik’s robot crashed through the floor from under her and almost grabbed her. But Sunset was faster and she was at the window on the end of the hall. She pushed it open and then squeezed Cream out, ushering her to run along a turquoise roof extension that sloped down in a slight sixty degree angle to a primly arranged garden below. John had said he was quite the gardener, but Sunset hadn’t got to see it till now.

“What a time to look at the garden.” Sunset said to herself.

She followed out behind Cream sliding down the roof extension as Robotnik grabbed at the window, smashing it to pieces.

“You will come back here!” He yells.

But Sunset was already off the roof and she grabs Cream at the bottom and runs from John’s house. She needed to find someplace safe.

“What does he want from you, Cream?” Sunset asked her.

The rabbit shook her head. “He just wants to capture all of us.”

“Then find somewhere safe, Cream.” Sunset placed her down by the street that lead down to Sugarcube Corner. “I want you to hide. Hide yourself really well.”

“What are you going to do?” Cream asked.

Sunset balled her fists. She had seen John do this heroic thing many times and now, it was her turn. “I’m going to distract him and potentially defeat him.”

“But.” Cream started.

“Go!” Sunset cut her off and she obeyed. The rabbit scurried off and Sunset readied for a fight. “Let’s see what you’re made of, Robotnik.”

“Standing up for your friend, I see.” Robotnik said and stopped before Sunset. “No matter. I’ll deal with you then deal with her. Ready yourself.”

He smashed his gloved fists together, then smiled. When he was done, he ran to Sunset, swinging a right punch at her. Sunset ducked and slid under another punch, the kicked at his robotic shell, which didn’t do much.

“Excuse me?” Robotnik laughed. He swung around. “You expect to punch and kick your way to victory?”

“Yes.” Sunset said, then she floated up into the air and suddenly, her form changed to that of the one in Friendship Games. She’d been practicing for a while, and she could finally do it at will when she had to protect someone.

“Ah, sorcery, but I have come prepared. I have learnt your powers from my associate.” Dr. Robotnik mashed his hands together and they became a vacuum of sorts.

Sunset levitated herself up into the air, then blasted the mad doctor with her magic. The magic hit Dr. Robotnik in the vacuum, but it began to be absorbed by it, going into his suit and powering it.

“Yes, keep pumping your magic in here!” Dr. Robotnik laughed. “Power my machine!”

Sunset stopped, then she flew around behind him and punched the back of his glass shell. It cracked. Robotnik released a claw arm from behind and grabbed Sunset’s leg, smashing her against the road twice, before letting go and activating a shoulder rocket.

Sunset dodged as a red laser lined itself on her forehead, flying up just as one rocket blasted out of his shoulder mount and exploded on the road below her, creating a crater that was surely going to inconvenience drivers in a few hours. With a flap of her wings, Sunset was at Robotnik and she punched his glass shell again, then swooped around to the back and delivered a swift roundhouse kick to the back of his glass. With that combined power of her magical form, she shattered his shell and dropped broken glass into his cockpit and the road, some of which cut him on the face.

“Arr you will pay for that!” Robotnik said and wiped at his face and he grew angrier.

He grabbed for Sunset, but she had already moved and she was behind him again, readying another blast of her golden magic. Robotnik flipped around and reproduced his vacuum arms just in time as Sunset unleashed her magic. It went into his vacuum and began to power his suit again, much to Sunset’s annoyance. She needed to find a different way to defeat him instead of continuously giving him her magic. Unless…

She had a change of plans and she kept her magic blasting into Robotnik’s suit. The lights on his suit began to glow brighter as its energy began to increase.

“Yes yes! Keep making my invention stronger!” Robotnik laughed and he increased the size of his vacuum arms. “You don’t learn do you? All you’re doing is making me more powerful and increasing my chances to defeat you and capture that rabbit!”

“Are you so sure about that?” Sunset said and then increased her output of magic that it began to get too bright to even see.

“I am so powerful now you can’t stop me for long!” Robotnik continued to laugh as the meters on his suit began to increase to its maximum output. Then suddenly there is a red warning light and a look of panic sets on his face. “No. No! It’s too much, stop firing your magic at me!”

“You wish.” Sunset said. She yells and increases how much magic she is using and it began to get even brighter.

“No! No!” Robotnik shielded his face as the reactor of his robot suit went critical and then, boom! There was an even more blinding flash as his suit detonated and threw Sunset back and sent the mad doctor flying into the sky. He disappeared in a flash of light.

Sunset returned herself to the ground and depowered her form and brushed up her flowing hair. “Phew. Glad that’s over. I had to use almost all my power to overload his reactor. That really took too much out of me, I need to rest for a while after this.”

“Sunset that was so cool!” Cream came out of her hiding place and gave the girl a hug. “You really showed Dr. Robotnik who is stronger!”

“I sure did.” Sunset said and hugged her back. “Though I’m not as strong as John. He’s way more powerful. Even my hypnotizing beam back when I was evil couldn’t affect him.”

“But you did enough, and that’s what matters.” Cream hugged her tighter. “Thank you for protecting me. But John’s house is destroyed. Where are we going to go now? What if he comes back again? I don’t want him to capture me again. It was so terrible in that dark place.”

Sunset thought about it. Besides John and Twilight, there were still others who could stand up against threats like Dr. Robotnik and these were the same friends that had helped her stand back up after she thought no one would ever forgive her for what she had done. Then she nodded. “Come on. I know who we can go to.”
