1:00 pm Storm Peak: 200 miles from the City of Canterlot, Land of Equestria, the Equestrian royal air fleet patrol group under the command of Prince Somnus Silverlight, the crash site of unknown schooner airship, aboard the Corona Corvette Royal Airship.

Storm Peak gets its name from the sudden torrential rainstorms that pop-up without the help of Pegasi. It makes it hard for any unprepared airship to navigate safely pass the peak. Because of that, the summit is strewed with wreckage from numerous airships that wanted to take a short cut to the other side of Equestria. Patrol groups from the Equestrian Royal Air Fleet regularly patrol and find new wrecks monthly. This month the job of finding this further wreckage fell to Prince Somnus Silverlight, and his Corvette Royal Airship called the Corona.

"Gunner one and Gunner two load the anchor bolts into heavy crossbows. Make your shots count I want to be away from the peak before the next storm." Somnus orders as two unicorn ponies float with their magic, the two large crossbow bolts into both starboard heavy crossbows with a hemp rope.

"Aye-aye, your highness!" The gunners exclaimed as the two earth pony gunners stand on their back legs and wrap their front hoofs around the triggers of the huge crossbows.

"Ready-aim-fire!" Somnus calls as the two gunners pull the triggers. It shakes the airship for a while as the bolts shoot out of the crossbow.

The bolts embed into the rocks locking in place a group of six earth ponies. On each rope, they begin pulling until the airship is lined up side by side with the wreckage of the other airship and tie it off. Somnus opens a little gate on the starboard side and extends a lightweight wooden bridge to the debris of other airships. He takes it slowly as he crosses over the bridge. Meanwhile, sitting on a small, round, wooden disk on top of the flagship balloon directing the flights of pegasi scouts from each of the three airships, was Lunar Guard Captain Adrian Nightwing.

"Flight leader!" A Pegasi scout says.

"Yes, Lieutenant?" Adrian inquires.

"There's a storm forming quickly; it looks like a nasty one." The Lieutenant reports.

"How long do you think we have, Lieutenant, until the storm forms?" Adrian inquires.

"I would say less than 30 min, Flight leader." The Lieutenant reports.

"All right, Lieutenant calls back all the scouts and ready them for bad weather operations. Plus, inform the pilots that a storm is forming, and it's going to be a bumpy ride." Adrian orders, taking off from the disk and flies down to the ship.

"Pilot! There's a storm forming in less than 30 min! Be ready to steer the airship away from the peak, when the prince gets on!" Adrian yells to the earth pony stallion at the wheel of the airship.

"Aye-aye, Captain!" The pilot yells back, grabbing hold of the ship wheel in front of him after putting on a raincoat.

"Rope teams; get ready to cut the airship free from the peak when the prince gets on board the ship!" Adrian yells to the two groups of earth ponies at each of the ropes.

"Aye-aye, Captain!" the rope teams yell back as they put on raincoats and place a knife against the rope, waiting to cut it free from the bolts.

"Scout team, get ready to deploy!" Adrian yells to the four-member scout team aboard the ship already dressed in bad weather gear.

"Aye-aye, Captain!" the scout team yells back as Prince Somnus crosses back to his airship and pulls the bridge back, floating the ship logbook in his magic bubble.

"I got the logbook from the unknown schooner airship let's get out of here!" Prince Somnus yells as the rope teams cut the ropes, and the pilot starts the propeller of the airship.

A moment later, a strong gust of wind from the storm begins buffing the three corvette patrol ships back and forth, causing the airship's crew to slide across the deck from one end of the vessel to the other.

As the hard rain soaks the wooden deck of the ship, thunder and lightning flash blinding the two Pegasi scouts at the front of the ship, guiding them out of the storm. It's just long enough for three air pirate caravel airships to launch a surprise attack on the patrol fleet.

"Air Pirates!" the pegasi scout yells back to the ship, as the balloon of the Crown Corvette three is popped by the many crossbows bolts that are sticking into it and crashes to the ground in a heap. The pegasi scouts from the Crown Corvette three break off their attack from the pirate pegasi to help their down airship.

"Adrian, quickly fly to the next valley. I know an Equestrian royal air warship is going through its paces today. But I don't know which one brings that warship to help." Prince Somnus orders his pegasi partner Adrian.

"All right, Somnus! I'll bring them to help! Just stay alive till I get back!" Adrian said as she takes to the sky to get help from the other valley and air warship.

3:00 pm White Plain Territory, 100 miles from the City of Canterlot, Land of Equestria, Royal vessel the Solar Prominence.

Meanwhile, in a peaceful valley, anchored to the ground, floating gently in the breeze was a cruiser warship called the Solar Prominence. Relaxing on a chaise lounge in the Captain's quarters, toward the aft of the boat, drinking her afternoon tea was Somnus' mother, Princess Celestia Silverlight. After the longest court day at the palace she ever had, Celestia wanted to get away from the castle to relax for a few hours, putting her cruiser through its paces. It was the best medicine for that.

Celestia playfully chuckles. There's a soft ping as the golden horseshoe she loosens finally falls off her hoof. A moment later, the single ping is followed by three other pings as her other three horseshoes fall off. She stretched her legs a few times and was about to lay her head down to take a nap when the door into the captain's quarters bangs open, causing her to tumble off the chaise lounge. She gets her legs tangled in the curtains behind her, pulling them down, covering her head. As she looks through the thin curtains, she sees the out of breath pegasi mare running toward her.

"Adrian, what is wrong?" The pony tangled in the curtains exclaims as Adrian's eyes blink with surprise with this airship captain calling her by her first name without her permission.

"Do you know me, Captain?! To be calling me by my first name?!" Adrian said hotly as the pony slowly untangles herself from the curtains.

"Of course, I know you." The untangled pony said defensively as she floats the curtains off her head, revealing Princess Celestia.

"Your Highness!" Adrian exclaims when she looks at the face of Somnus' mother, Princess Celestia.

"Your highness! Somnus' corvette patrol fleet is under attack by an air pirate raiding party near Storm Peak, the Crown corvette three has been sunk the other two corvettes are in trouble we need your cruiser!" Adrian explains as Celestia opens her wings and flies out of the hole in the roof that leads onto the pilot deck, followed by Adrian.

"Helm! Lift anchor and follow this Pegasus! (Pointing at Adrian with her bare hoof) the prince is under attack by an air pirate raiding party near Storm Peak one of his airships had been sunk!" Princess Celestia calls as her airship crew leaps to their hoofs.

"Aye! Aye! Your highness!" The entire crew answers as they begin their jobs aboard the ship. The propeller switches on and quickly reaches full power in seconds.

4:00 pm Storm peak: 200 miles from the City of Canterlot, Land of Equestria, the Equestrian royal air fleet patrol group Corona, site of the airborne battle with the Ravager raiding party fleet vs. the Corona Patrol fleet.

Since Prince Somnus sent his partner Lunar Guard Captain Adrian Nightwing to fetch help, the Halo corvette two had held off the three caravels pirate airships with two lucky shots. Corvette two had been able to disable the third caravel pirate airship by knocking out their propellers.

Aboard his corvette, an exhausted Prince Somnus pants endlessly as he pushes his inherited Alicorn magic to its upmost limits to maintain the protection spell on his balloon to keep it from being popped by the pirates' bolts. His front legs buckle first, followed a moment later by his back legs.

On his knees, the dark blue magic aura surrounding his horn begins to flicker on and off; He is coming close to exhausting the last bits of his reserve magic energy. A loud pop can be heard, the shield around his balloon falls as he collapses to the deck of his ship unconscious. As his eyes slowly close, the last image he sees is his ship crew in a general panic as the pirates close in to finish them off.

Suddenly, from the western sky, bursting through the clouds was the prow of a sizeable Equestrian warship, a cruiser. A steady shower of bolts rain down on the balloon of the disabled caravel and quickly sink it. The next attack sinks the second caravel leaving only the pirates flagship. Knowing he's outmatched in sheer firepower, the pirate flagship retreats from the battle. With her front hoofs on the rail of the prow and a huge Cheshire cat smile on her snout, Princess Celestia orders her crew to ceasefire.

Slowly the cruiser pulls alongside the flagship corvette, one of the earth pony crew members on the cruiser toss a corvette crew member a rope and tie it off. Before tying off the other line to keep it in place, a bridge is extended to the corvette to allow the medics from the cruiser to work on the injured crew members. While that was going on, Celestia flies over to the flagship corvette to begin the search for her son to make sure he is ok. Her bare hooves click on the damp wooden deck of the corvette, which is crowded with her son's injured crewmembers. Her medics make it hard for her to spot her son's body in the mess of the other ponies.

"Huh!? Somnus!" Celestia exclaims as she spots her son's body lying lifeless on the deck. She gallops over to him and begins to nudges him with her bare hoof, trying to get a reaction from him.

"Medic!" Celestia calls as a Solar Guard unicorn medic pony runs over to the prince. She floats a stethoscope into her ears and searches for a heartbeat for some time. She then stops searching and shakes her head.

"No!" Celestia shrieks as her legs give-out under her, and she collapses on the deck. She places her front leg across his side and back and then rests her head across his neck as her light purple eyes fill with tears. They stream down her cheeks, soaking his mane.

"I am so sorry, baby I didn't make it in time." Celestia whimpers as she continues to cry at the huge loss of her son. Then in a very soft voice, Somnus's said, 'mommy.' Without another word to her crew, Celestia quickly floats Somnus onto her back and leaps off the corvette spreading her wings as she flies back to Canterlot as fast as she can.

6:27 am the following morning, Canterlot Royal Palace, Royal ward, City of Canterlot, Capital city of Equestria, Private hospital room, Palace hospital.

It has been a long, tense night for Princess Celestia Silverlight. She carried her unconscious son Prince Somnus Silverlight from his Corvette airship near Storm peak on her back to Canterlot for immediate medical treatment at the palace hospital. Celestia has stayed by her son's bedside all night, refusing to rest until he opens his eyes. As the early morning sun rises in the sky, an exhausted Celestia remains glued to her position at Somnus's bedside as a glowing yellow hand caress Somnus's front leg. Slowly the lids of Somnus' eyes open, revealing his blue eyes to the delight of his exhausted mother, whose eyes slowly close as she falls asleep.

A moment later, the door into the private hospital room is opened by a younger unicorn mare the same height as Princess Cadence. She floats her mother, Princess Celestia, onto a nearby hospital bed and covers her with several sheets.

"Mother has stayed by your bedside all night, Somnus," Blueberry explains quietly as she floats a stethoscope into her ears to listen to her brother's heart.

"She refused to sleep until you opened your eyes." Blueberry continued speaking quietly to allow her mother to sleep.

"So what happened, Somnus?" Blueberry inquires quietly floating a blood pressure cuff onto his front leg.

"I had no choice, Blueberry, but to tap into my Alicorn magic to keep my crew safe," Somnus explains softly as Blueberry gawks in disbelief.

"What? You know how dangerous that is, Somnus. You, me, and Aurora are only half Alicorn ponies. To tap into our inherited Alicorn magic costs us a great deal to perform. But that explains a lot to me, and now I know how to help." Blueberry commented, floating the blood pressure monitor back into her saddlebags.

"How so, Blueberry?" Somnus inquires.

"When you tap into your inherited Alicorn magic, you blow out your magic stopper. That explains why mother brought you unconscious and barely alive. It took a long time for you to come to in other words, dear brother; you are a resident patient till your magic stopper repairs itself. It should take a few weeks (pointing her hoof at Somnus), so you can't use any magic." Blueberry explains as she floats the clipboard towards her and writes something on it.

9:00 am a few days later, Canterlot Royal Palace, Royal ward, City of Canterlot, Capital city of Equestria, Visiting hours, Private hospital room, Palace hospital.

Its a few days later since his younger sister told Somnus that it would take a few weeks for his magic to fully recover. By tapping into his inherited Alicorn magic, it blew out his magic stopper. Since that time, Blueberry has taken great care of her brother. She has helped him by exercising his magic and his mind with elementary games she put together to aid in his recovery and strengthen his magic reserves. An invigorated Princess Blueberry canters down the hallway leading towards her brother's hospital room. She is delighted with his progress up to now and wants to start the next level of his recovery.

"Your Highness!" A unicorn nurse calls to Blueberry, floating a rolled-up scroll in a purple magic bubble.

"What is it, nurse Lily Lightly?" Princess Blueberry said sharply as she told all the hospital staff she is not to be disturbed when she is working with a patient.

"Forgive me your highness, but I think you better see this scroll I received from Nurse Wysteria in Appleloosa," Nurse Lily said as she floated the scroll over to Blueberry. She unrolls the scroll and reads it; her light blue eyes widen with alarm.

"By my mother's light! All rapid deployment outbreak teams begin deploying to the Canterlot train station a bad epidemic is going to break out in Appleloosa at any time now. We must get the decontamination train along with the medical train to Appleloosa to contain the infection before it becomes pandemic, Deploy!" Princess Blueberry calls with a very calm voice as the rapid deployment outbreak teams begin forming and grabbing their equipment to head to the train station.

1:00 pm Canterlot Royal Palace, Royal ward, City of Canterlot, Capital City of Equestria, visiting hours, Private hospital room of Prince Somnus, Palace hospital.

'Where is she? She said she would come to continue to help me with my recovery?' Somnus thought as he paced about his private hospital room, waiting for his younger sister to arrive.

"Did she forget?” Somnus wondered as he walks over to the window to look outside.

"No, Blueberry, would never forget something like that if anyone is hurt, she is the first pony on the scene to help but still, it's 1 p.m., well passed the time she told me she would come." Somnus comments as a reddish-pink unicorn mare opens the door to his private hospital room with a dark blue mane and tail. On her flank was a red heart, and in her mane behind her horn was a nurse's cap.

"Please forgive me, Mr. Silverlight for being late. I had to read over Director Blueberry's notes on your case." The unicorn mare explains as she got a look of utter confusion on her face.

"Mr. Silverlight? Are you related to Director Blueberry Swirl Silverlight, the mare that runs the palace hospital?" The Unicorn mare inquires. Still, a bit confused as Somnus politely laughs under his breath.

"Before I answer Miss, who are you?" Somnus inquires, walking up to the mare and looking her over a few times.

"Oh yes, my name is Nurse Melinda White Heart. I was just recently assigned as your new nurse by Director Blueberry now your turn, Mr. Silverlight (Pointing her hoof at Somnus)." Melinda explains as Somnus had a smile on his snout.

"Yes, I am related to Director Blueberry Swirl Silverlight. She is my younger sister." Somnus explains as Melinda blinks with surprise and gasps.

"If Director Blueberry is your younger sister and she holds the rank of a Princess of Equestria. That means you hold the rank of a Prince of Equestria." Melinda exclaims leaping almost out of her skin as she quickly bows to Somnus.

"Please forgive me, your highness I didn't know." Melinda's voice breaks as Somnus walks up to her and picks her to chin up with his hoof.

"It's all right, Miss White Heart most of the time, ponies don't call me Prince Somnus unless I am wearing my royal regalia, and the only time I wear that is when I have royal duties to perform for my Mother and my Aunt. I prefer being called Somnus or Mr. Silverlight." Somnus explains as Melinda relaxes a bit around Somnus and explains why she took over the care of him.

4:00 pm Town of Appleloosa, Edge of the Macintosh Hills, Land of Equestria, the Salt Block Saloon, common room of the saloon.

Old-time western piano music echoes in the Salt Block Saloon on the main road into town. Sitting at a small table in the saloon, drinking apple juice was Princess Blueberry. Her rapid deployment outbreak teams from Canterlot had quickly contained the infection in town before it could spread out to Equestria.

"Thank you, your highness for coming so quickly to save my town folk," The earth pony said gratefully.

"You are very welcome, Sheriff Silver star; it's what my mother would do." Princess Blueberry pleased with herself taking a drink of her apple juice.

"But what I don't get Sheriff Silver star is how this all started all your ponies around here are very healthy, but still, an infection started to spread in town very quickly had anything changed in town?" Princess Blueberry inquires, floating her mug down onto the table.

"Not that I know of your highness, it's been pretty normal for the town." Sheriff Silver star comments.

"So if nothing has changed was something new added to the town?" Princess Blueberry inquires as an earth pony nurse bursts through the saloon doors out of breath.

"Your highness! We located patient X he's living in a small house just outside of town!" The earth pony shouts as both Blueberry and Sheriff Silver star get to their hooves and follow the nurse out of town.

Not too far from town, sat a small, new, whitewashed wooden house. As Blueberry and Sheriff Silver star arrive at the scene, her ponies are transporting a blue-colored earth pony with a dark blue mane and tail out of the house.

"It is the curse of the Siren Song! That blighted airship carrack! She crashed me schooner airship on Storm Peak when I found out where it crashed! A treasure worth a princess's ransom is not worth my sanity! Those air pirates who hired me to find the Siren Song told me nothing of the price I must pay to know the location of the Siren Song! Destroy my ship log books or be cursed like me!" The earth pony screams, delirious, as he begins to insanely cackle. A moment later, a nurse gives him a shot that puts him to sleep.

"The Siren Song? What is that, your highness?" Sheriff Silver star inquires, looking towards Princess Blueberry, who had a knowing glance on her face.

"Long ago, there was an airship carrack called the Siren Song. It was the fastest airship in all of Equestria. Its task was to transport a gift chest worth a Princess's ransom in gold bits to Yakakstan in the north. During the trip to Yakakastan, the airship crashed somewhere and was never found. Over the years, many ponies have tried to find the crash site of the cursed vessel but failed. Those that have found Siren Song have gone insane and refused to reveal the location of the cursed vessel." Princess Blueberry explains.

'If that pony found the location of the crash site of the Siren Song and has it written down in his airship logbooks, it's best to recover the logbooks and keep it at the palace. We will make sure the air pirates never find the Siren Song and recover the treasure.' Princess Blueberry thought as she heads back to town following right behind Sheriff Silver star.

4:00 pm Canterlot Royal Palace, Royal ward, City of Canterlot, Capital city of Equestria, palace hospital, a small cafeteria on the third floor.

Sitting at a table in the hospital cafeteria, eating her lunch was Special duty Nurse Melinda White Heart. Joining her was a purple-colored unicorn mare with a light pink and purple mane and tail. On her flank was a pink lily flower cutie mark. In her mane behind her horn, was her nurse's cap. This unicorn mare was Patient Advocate Nurse Lily Lightly. She and Melinda are friends as they both work at the Palace hospital on the same floor. A moment later, a light blue unicorn stallion with a dark green and light green strip mane and tail walks into the cafeteria wearing a lab coat and stethoscope around his neck.

"Lily, who is that stallion that just walked in?" Melinda inquires, studying him acutely as Lily looks towards the stallion.

"I think his name is Doctor Egon Good Heart. I was just told by the palace hospital board that they hired that new doctor." Lily explains as Melinda gawks in disbelief.

"What?" Melinda exclaims shocked with the disregard of procedure that Princess Blueberry put in place for hiring a new palace hospital member.

"Her highness is not going to be happy about this." Melinda comments as Lily sighs slowly.

"Ever since the board hired that wonderful doctor without telling her highness they think they can do it again," Lily comments, sipping tea from a paper cup.

"With all their successes they have just as many misses remember Doctor White," Melinda comments as a chill runs down Lily's back to her tail.

"Do I that was a nightmare for me as a Patient Advocate Nurse that doctor wanted to do treatments to patients that I would call dangerous, but the board backed him until one of his treatments hurt a Patient in his care when Blueberry got wind of it every pony in the palace hospital knew she was mad. That day, the board saw the dark side of Princess Blueberry." Lily explains as Melinda sipped tea from a paper cup.

"At least she didn't blame me for the debacle but I was still punished. It was not that bad a week of front desk duty was fair for my part in the debacle. If I just kept fighting for the patient, Blueberry wouldn't have punished me, but the board got to me, and I let it go." Lily explains as the two unicorn nurses left the hospital cafeteria to head back to their floor to continue their shift for the day.

9:00 pm Canterlot Royal Palace, Royal ward, City of Canterlot, Capital City of Equestria, 1st floor of Palace hospital, Patient's belongings Storerooms, hallway leading to the storeroom.

'This has been one of the longest shifts I ever had I can't wait to get home and get off my hoofs for an hour or so.' Melinda thought as she walked down the hallway to the patient's belongings storeroom.

"Huh!" Melinda exclaimed as she noticed the door leading into the storeroom was opened, and a light was shining in the room.

She quietly made her way towards the storeroom and pressed herself against the wall next to the door. She carefully stuck her head into the room and saw a unicorn using a unicorn light spell to search through the many boxes in the room filled with the patient's belongings. She reaches into the room with her hoof and slams on the switch turning on all the lights in the room. With that, Melinda's breathe catches in her throat. With his hoof inside one of the boxes, was Doctor Egon Good Heart.

"Doctor! What are you doing here?" Melinda shouts as Egon's eyes narrow with disdain toward her.

"I might ask the same thing of you, Nurse?" Egon inquires sharply as she points with her hoof towards a set of saddle-bags sitting on a table.

"Getting my saddle-bags so I can head home I was given special permission to use this room to store by saddle-bags when I am on duty by Director Blueberry Swirl Silverlight, the mare that runs the hospital." Melinda said testily. Before Egon can say another word, Melinda floats a paper out of her saddle-bags and shows it to him. On the bottom of the paper was the Equestria royal seal and signed next to it was Princess Blueberry Swirl Silverlight's signature.

"Now get out of here, Doctor! Before I call the guards to take you out of here!" Melinda said forcefully as the doctor knew he was beaten, and he stormed out of the room down the hallway.

As she was closing and locking the door to the storeroom, two royal guards come walking down the hallway. She floats a small gold talisman out of her saddle-bags and shows it to them. The two royal guards quickly salute her, and she instructs them to guard this room till morning.

At that same time, in the private royal living area of the Canterlot Royal Palace, Princess Celestia Silverlight was about to settle in for a restful and quiet evening in her chamber with some light reading. A cozy terry cloth robe wraps around her slender alicorn figure, while four very soft and squishy terry cloth slippers adorn her hooves. She floats a pair of reading glasses onto her snout from the top of the nightstand. As she was about to open the cover of the book, there was a knock on her chamber door. She gets to her hoofs to answer it. As she opens the door, waiting outside, was a pegasi mare wearing the gunmetal gray armor of the Princess's elite guard Solar Guard.

"Yes, Trooper?" Celestia said friendly.

"Excuse me for troubling you, Your Highness." The pegasi said.

"No trouble at all, trooper. How can I help you?" Celestia inquires friendly.

"I was told to give this envelope to you by a private messenger a few minutes ago." The pegasi explain handing the envelope to Celestia, who takes hold of the envelope with her yellow magic aura. In her magic aura, Celestia flips and turns the envelope in every direction to scrutinize the paper. With no return address, she turns toward the pegasi.

"Did the Messenger say anything to you, Trooper?" Celestia inquires.

"All the Messenger said was it was important, and it was from a friend of the prince." The pegasi explain.

"I see, please return to your duty, Trooper," Celestia said as the Pegasi bows to the princess, before getting back to her duties.

"Huh? From a friend of Somnus and it's important." Celestia comment.

Closing the door behind her. She uses her magic to tear open the side of the envelope. Inside was a small piece of paper that she floats out of the envelope. It read:

To: Princess Celestia Silverlight
From: Payola Bucks
A few of my sources have just informed me of an air pirate spy in Canterlot. The palace hospital board hired him as a doctor. I have no idea why the air pirates would be interested in the palace hospital. But I know that the Prince is laid-up in that very hospital. The only other information I have is a name: The Siren Song. This name has the full attention of many of the air pirate kings in Equestria, and many ponies have asked me over the years for information on it with no luck.

'The Siren Song? I know I have heard that name somewhere?' Celestia thought, burning the message from Somnus's informer Payola Bucks with a magic fire spell.

8:00 am Canterlot Royal Palace, Royal ward, City of Canterlot, Capital City of Equestria, Palace Hospital, Patient's belongings storerooms, first floor of the palace hospital.

'I wonder what that doctor was looking for in the patient's belongings storeroom' Melinda thought as she searched through the many boxes full of patient's belongings in the room closely watched by a Corporal from the Solar Guard unit.

Went she arrive this morning to the hospital, she was surprised to find a small unit of Solar Guard personnel at the hospital. After talking to a few of Solar Guard troopers, she learned that Somnus's mother sent them to the hospital. The princess didn't give them any more details another than to protect the lay-up Prince and watch any personal medical working with him.

"Huh?" Melinda exclaimed as she was going through the box mark with the letter S on it. Inside the box was the personal belonging of the patients whose names started with the letter S, out of all the items inside the box. Only the items belonging to Prince Somnus Silverlight were touch and look through.

'Why the doctor would be going through Somnus belongings, I have no idea. But still, he was going through them.' Melinda thought as she discovers two worn brown books inside Somnus's saddlebags with the name Swan Song on it.

"Excuse me, Corporal; do you know what these books are?" Melinda inquiry as she floats the two books over to the Solar Guard Corporal. Who takes hold of the two books with his magic aura and looks them over.

"Well, Miss White heart, these books are what you call logbooks from airship called the Swan song (pointing with his hoof at cloud mark in the center of the book)." The corporal explains as he floats the books back to Melinda.

"An airship logbook? What are they used for?" Melinda inquiry.

"Any airships flown in Equestria's skies must have a set of logbooks. Be it privately owned or military-owned must have these. The captain that commands the airship keeps records in the logbooks for just about anything from how long he or she been flying where they are going or come from what their cargo is and so on and so on. If, for any reason, the airship crashes, these logs are the last records of that airship and its crew." The corporal explains.

"If you really what to know about airships, go talk to the Prince about it, Miss White heart. Out of all the royal foals, the Prince has the most flying time in the air than any of his siblings. The only other member of the main royal family that has more flying time would be his mother, the Princess." The Corporal explains as Melinda floats the logbooks into her saddlebags and leaves the storeroom with the Corporal in tow. An hour later, Melinda arrives at Somnus private hospital room and walks in; looking out the window was prince Somnus.

"Somnus, may I ask you something?" Melinda inquiry.

"Sure, Melinda, what?" Somnus reply as Melinda floats the logbooks over to Somnus and sets them on a table in front of him.

"I am wondering where you got these airship logbooks from." Melinda inquiry as he flips through the pages of the book with his hoof, as his unicorn magic is still too weak to use his typical telekinesis spell.

"It was these log books that put me in the hospital in the first place. My airship was on routine patrol around storm peak went we came upon the wreck of a schooner airship. The normal procedure for finding new wrecks on the peak is to aboard the airship and finds the logbooks, that what I did as we were leaving storm peak. We came under a sneak attack by an air pirate raiding party. I guess the raiding party wanted to test the metal against a royal airship fleet. I feel if we didn't find the wreck, one of my airships and its crew wouldn't have been sunk." Somnus said, bitterly slamming the cover of the logbook closed with his hoof.

"Anyway, why do you want to know Melinda?" Somnus inquiry calm himself down.

"I am trying to figure out why that new doctor was going through your belongings in the storeroom. The only unusual item was these two logbooks." Melinda explains as Somnus gape in stunned silence, learning that some pony was going through his private things.

"Huh?" Somnus exclaims.

"Who is this new doctor, Melinda?" Somnus inquiry, his eyes are sharpening as he looks at Melinda.

"His name is Doctor Egon Good Heart, the palace hospital board hire him a few weeks ago," Melinda explains as a rose of indignation form on Somnus' face.

"Does Blueberry know about this new Doctor?" Somnus inquiry with a crafty smile.

"Unfortunately, no, went the big pony away the board will play." Melinda comment.

"I see, will you write something for me, Melinda?" Somnus inquiry as Melinda agrees to write something for Somnus.

3:00 pm that same day, Canterlot Royal Palace, Royal ward, City of Canterlot, Capital city of Equestria, Hospital board meeting room, Palace Hospital.

The Palace hospital board meeting room is located on the ground floor of the Palace Hospital. A large round table sits in the center of the room for the board members to sit at. Very angry Princess Blueberry stomps about the meeting room upon receive a personal letter from her brother Prince Somnus about what happen why she was gone. Princess Blueberry took the first train back to the City of Canterlot from the Town of Appleloosa.

"Once again, the board violated my rules! By hiring this new doctor without informing me of this!" Princess Blueberry said sharply, slamming the file folder of the new doctor on the table with her magic.

"And to add on to your transgressions talking with some of these ponies he listed they have never heard of Doctor Good Heart and search in the medical records there has never been a Doctor Good Heart in practice in Equestria who in Tartarus did you bring into the Palace!" Princess Blueberry said fiercely as she looks over piercingly at each member of the board.

"Your?" The board members said as Blueberry shot a keep-your-mouth-shut look toward them with that Princess Blueberry leaves the board meeting room and walk to her brother's hospital room.

(A few minutes later in Somnus hospital room)

"I am so sorry about this big brother," Blueberry said very apologetically as her ear droop sitting in front of Somnus.

"It not your fault, little sister you didn't know that the board would do something like that," Somnus said not blaming his little sister for this as he lifts her chin with his hoof.

"Anyway, what are you going to do about that fake doctor walking around the palace hospital?" Somnus inquiry as Blueberry walks over to the table with the logbooks on them.

"I have already told the Solar Guard and the Royal Guard personnel here at the hospital to find that fake doctor and arrest him for pretending to be a doctor," Blueberry explains as her eyes blink with surprise went she noticed the name on the two books in front of her; she picked up the books with her magic aura.

"Somnus, where did you get these two books from?" Blueberry inquiry as Somnus' eyes blinks with the incredulity with another mare asking about the books he resent for putting him in the hospital.

"What with these books that you mare's are so interested in! I hate them for put me in the hospital!" Somnus said caustically as Blueberry's mouth quirks in annoyances with her brother.

"Prince Somnus Justice Silverlight I simply want to know how two books from Captain Sailor's hitch who lives in the Town of Appleloosa ended up in the hoofs of a Prince of Equestria and Canterlot, plus who is the other mare that was interested," Blueberry said very calmly as her brother begins to calm down.

"I recovered the logbooks from a crashed schooner airship on Storm peak. As for the other mare, it was Nurse Melinda White heart. She believes the fake doctor was after these very logbooks. But I have no idea why?" Somnus explain as Blueberry flip thought the book with her magic and on the last page of the book was writing the directions to the Siren Song.

"Brother, do you remember the story of the Siren Song you told me?" Blueberry inquiry.

"Of course I do, Blueberry you were the only one interested in the story of Siren Song, why?" Somnus inquiry a bit puzzled as Blueberry chuckle playfully with childlike glee.

"Because inside the pages of this very logbook are the directions to Siren Song, and it lost treasure!" Blueberry said tremendously excites as she floats the logbook in front of Somnus and uses her hoof to point at the page with the directions. Somnus stood in stun silence, looking at the instructions in the book to missing Siren Song and its treasure.

1:00 pm the following day an aboard the royal cruiser airship Solar Prominence, near the boarder of the Crystal Empire in an area called Snow peak, nearing the crash site of Siren Song airship.

The mood aboard the Solar Prominence is high with excitement, the closer they come to the crash site. Commanding the vessel was Princess Celestia Silverlight; she was not alone aboard the ship joining her on this expedition to recover the lost treasure of the Siren Song where her three royal foals, her sister Princess Luna and her niece Princess Cadence, the ruler of the Crystal Empire.

As her warship will be entering the skies of the Crystal Empire near snow peak, standing on the deck near the rails look toward snow peak was troubled Princess Luna. She is soon joined near the rails by her nephew Prince Somnus Silverlight who was still recovering; after quickly nuzzle her snout into Somnus' mane, she returns to being uneasy.

"Is something troubling you, Auntie?" Somnus inquiry returning nuzzle.

"Do you not feel it, my dear Somnus?" Princess Luna inquiry sitting down on the deck beside Somnus.

"The heaviness and uneasiness in the air as we near the crash site of Siren Song," Somnus explains as Luna shook her head.

"It feels like we are going to enter a storm of dark feelings. Like we should leave the crash site alone." Princess Luna comments, looking toward her sister Celestia and niece Cadence.

"But unfortunately, Auntie we cannot. We are too deep into it to stop now." Somnus comments as he rubs a worried snout against Luna's neck.

Not since he was a small colt has Somnus rub his aunt's neck in that fashion, instinctive Luna rests her chin on his shoulders and caresses his back with her hoof to reassure him that everything will be ok and alleviate his worry.

"Feel better?" Luna inquiry loving as Somnus shook his head and wraps his front hoofs around his aunt in a firm hug.

Slowly the crash site of Siren Song carrack airship comes into view, half-obscured by the fresh falling white snow was the battered, beautiful wooden hull of the missing airship. Its great balloon deflates to one side of the vessel bury under several layers of snow. The torn flag with the royal Equestria seal whip in the little wind on the stern of the airship.

As the Solar Prominence near the crash site, a whirlwind suddenly appears out of the clear blue sky made up of bits of snow and ice. It begins to pummel the airship with chunks of frozen water, till their scream as a small piece of ice strikes Celestia on the side of her head, knocking her unconscious. Quickly Luna orders the Solar Prominence to fall back, once away from the site. The whirlwind stops and returns to clear blue sky.

In the Captain's Quarter of ship lying on the bed was Celestia, her youngest daughter Blueberry was tending to her mother's bump on her head. A small pin floated in the air in a dark blue magic aura as Blueberry held her mother's bare front hoof, exposing the underside of her hoof; without warning, she jabs the pin into the bottom of the hoof. Soon tears filled Celestia's light purple eyes, and she cries out in pain as a pitiful look of appeal appear on her face what did she do to cause her youngest daughter to hurt her more. After clicking her mother's golden horseshoe back onto her hoof, Blueberry explains she was making sure it was only the bump and nothing else.

Meanwhile, standing at the foot of the boarding plank in ankle-deep snow was Princess Luna she was watching a group of four pegasi scouts flying toward the crash site, the moment they neared the outer edge of the site the whirlwind kick-up again sending a storm of snow and ice toward them.

Forcing the pegasi scouts to retreat to the airship, on their return to the airship Luna instructs one of the pegasi scouts to fly toward the site till the whirlwind kick-up again and quickly withdraw.

As the pegasi scout flies towards the crash site, Luna's switch from her normal vision to eerie green-tinted sight allows her to view the unseen of the world. Once in range of the outer edge of the site on cue, the whirlwind kick-up once again. Luna's gape in stunned silence controlling the whirlwind was the ghostly figure of a unicorn wearing battered gold armor of her sister's royal guard. Once the scout withdraws, the ghostly unicorn ends the whirlwind and floats toward the crash site.

"Somnus, Adrian. Come here!" Luna yells.

"Yes, Auntie" Somnus answers as he joins her in ankle-deep snow.

"Yes, Your highness." Adrian answer bowing to both Luna and Somnus.

"Only the three of us can get to the crash site on the hoof." Luna explains as both Somnus and Adrian reel with astonishment with what Luna said.

"What? How Auntie?" Somnus inquiry looks at Luna a bit puzzled.

"How is the easy part went we get there will be the hard part," Luna explains as she looks toward Adrian and Somnus.

Before setting out to the crash site Luna explains to Somnus that he must see the world through unseeing eyes, the light bulb goes off above his head, and he switches from his normal vision to the same eerie green-tinted vision Luna taught him went he was very young colt to alleviate his fear of the unknown and the dark. As for Adrian she might not be able to see the unseen, but she can surely sense them being part bat pony. With that the three ponies set off toward the crash site. The moment they enter the outer edge of the crash site, the whirlwind whip-up again stronger than ever the further they press into the storm, the stronger the winds get ripping off the helmet and tiara from Luna's and Adrian's heads.

Once through the worst of the blizzard, the three ponies find themselves in an area of no winds as they collapse to the snow hysterically laughing as they made it through the blizzard alive. The tension is soon broke by a snowball hitting Luna in the face with that a snowball fight breaks out between the three ponies. Watching the snowball fight was the ghostly figure of an earth pony wearing the tricorne hat of an airship captain as a smile forms on the ghostly face of the earth pony captain.

"They have come." The earth pony captain said with a hollow voice.

"Now, my crew and ship eternal duty is now over, and we may rest in peace forever." The earth pony captain said with saddens but a hollow voice.

Several hours' later, standing in the ankle-deep snow at the foot of the boarding plank was Princess Celestia Silverlight and her two daughters, along with her niece Princess Cadence. The four ponies strain they sight watching for the return of Luna's team as the sunlight reflecting off the white snow in front of them. Soon the four ponies' faces flush with happiness flying ahead of her son pulling a sled with the treasure chest on it was Luna and Adrian both have recovered their lost headwear.

From the location, both Luna and Adrian land to either side of Princess Celestia, why her son pulls the sled in front of his mother. She uses her magic to unfasten the harness holding the sled to Somnus with him free of sled her eyes moisten with joy as she wraps her front legs and wings around him in an Alicorn hug.

"You might think of me?" Celestia said before Somnus stop her from finish her thought.

"I think you an Alicorn mother who knew her foals will always return to her no matter what, Mother," Somnus said as he had two earth pony turn the treasure chest around with the rusted lock toward Celestia.

Without being told, Celestia lifts one of her front legs and slams the bottom of her golden horseshoe against the rusted lock breaking it into two pieces. As the bottom half of the lock falls away, she floats the top half of the bolt out of the holes. She opens the chest inside was the princess's ransom in bits, but what surprised her was the several small hooks on the inside part of the lid of the chest, each baring a small metal tag with the names of a crew member of the Siren Song. Only one hook was empty that belong to the Captain of Siren song. A moment later, Luna remembered, she removes her right front silver horseshoe from her hoof and floats the missing metal tag onto the hook.

A sudden flash lit up the whole area it has come from the site of the crash airship, every pony watched as a ghostly airship lifted off from the peak and disappeared into the sky. Princess Celestia and the royal family look toward heaven.

"Thank you, Captain Reynard Windward. The treasure will be a return to Canterlot, your home, and your ship and brave crew will be remembered for protecting the treasure until it could be recovered and returned." Princess Celestia is thankful as they load the chest aboard her airship and return home.
