Fallout Equestria: The Heart’s warming from another timeline

By Numbername

Sweat ticked down my forehead and ran off my muzzle as the heat kept boiled me alive, the stress of the workday and the work itself really did do a number on me. My small frame and generally lacking in physical development had not made the job of a technician easy. As I placed the last circuit into place then sealed the cease back into the computer, I wipe the sweat that had been building up off.

“Okay, Minty you can start it up now.” A white mare with a blue fuzzy mane taped a monitor screen with moving pictures on it. After a minute the sound humming could be heard.

“Ya did it Pip, you got her working again. No overheating it seems” Minty gave me gave a warm smile then tap me on the forehoof. “Sorry to call ya here on Heart’s warming even Little Pip but work got backed up.” She hung her head clearly asking the best repair pony to come in on her off day wasn’t her idea.

I simply just struggled. “It’s okay Mints, things get hellish on the holidays.” Every pony broke their computer when Hearts Warming came around, maybe all the online shopping took its toll. “Anyway, that’s the last of them. I think will be heading out Mints.” Using my magic I floated the last of my things into my toolbox, I weaved goodbye to Mints as I left the hardware store, the sliding doors close behind me. Our department store was a large one on a road that overlooked an overpass, the business was always booming around these parts the boss would probably never let us left if she could help it.

I walked through the snow-covered mostly empty parking lot over to my carriage, an old station wagon that was greying and rusted in a lot of places and had clearly seen better days. It was my mom’s old thing giving it to me as a gift when I finally got my license, she said it was a family hand-me-down past down from the family for years, it was a load of horse apples but I didn’t really argue I was just happy that she gave me a car. Course with my skills I restored her within a month better than ever, Decided not to clean up the look through, it had an old beat-up feel I liked.

Using my magic and floating the keys into the carriage door, it opened with a click sound. The Inside was a mess, used paper plates sat in the back seats, the storage compartment had seen better days dents and strains all over it. Trash was thrown into the passenger seat with little regard, by the princess I needed clean up, If my girl ever had to ride with me I’d die.

You know I hate driving down the highway on holidays, traffic from Fillydelphia must take up the whole interstate road and I was stuck between two tracks, just my type of luck I guess. “By Celestia why do I always get the traffic jams?” I bang my horn against straining will. “It’s like Harmony and chaos itself want to fuck with me.” My horn lifts up and a green glow surrounded the dialog on the radio. “I hope some good tunes are playing, I can’t take this much longer.”

My hope was met with the sound of a familiar voice singing over the radio. “I'm dreaming of a white Heart’s Mas Just like the ones I used to know Where the treetops glisten, and children listen to hear Sleigh bells in the snow I'm dreaming of a white Heart’s Mas With every Heart’s Mas card I write May your days be merry and bright And may all your Heart’s Mas be white.” The beautiful voice of Velvet Remedy boomed from the speakers, I laid back and relax a bit. She had a voice that could smooth any soul and get all eyes on her, she was Equestria’s favorite musicians rising to the top charts with every new song. I smiled a bit, out of an entire country of admirals none could say knew her like I did being her friend and all. I mean she was the reason I met my fiance Homa...

“Shit, I forgot to get Homage something for Heart’s Warming!” I could smack myself, this month had been so busy getting ready for the Holiday, getting our celebration ready for the Hearts Warming day that I forgot to get Homage gift, “damn it I need to get her something Nice but what?” I needed something quick but good all the places I knew were closed. “Damn it where can I get a present this time of year.” The sound of hones broke my trail of thought and made me realize traffic was moving again, I could hear a few shouts from outside as other carriages drove.

“Ya Zebra brain idiot move it!” One mare driving a large black carriage said while yelling at me.

I blush and began moving again when a thought crosses my mind. “Zebra! Xephyr and Xenith potion shop! The perfect place to get Homage a present!” I hit the gas and sped down the highway as quickly as possible like a mad mare, speeding ticket be damned!

You know getting two tickets one right after the other would usually be vain of my existence but when I pulled up into a strip mall parking lot, I breathe a sigh of relief. Xenith's shop was the last one in the line shops that made up the small lot. A sign saying “World of Potions and spells, yes we do deliveries” announce in bold green glowing letters above the storefront. Parking in the right in the front, the whole lot was empty, I rushed out of the carriage and into the store. Opening the glass double my nose was hit with sweet smalls and few strong odors.

The store was mostly open with the items mostly being placed on shelves on the wall, a glowing pot sat in the middle of the room bubble and smoke came rose from it, various masks and items hang on roop spend it from stealing. Xenith didn’t hold anything back when it came to decorating the shop the dimly lit room adding to the mystic of the place. “Yo Xephyr! You here?” I walked to the counter and ring a bell sitting next to the cash register.

A minute later a zebra mare wearing a clock entered from beads covered doorway, a hood covered her head blocking out her face. “Yes I’m here, how may I serve you today?” She groaned for a minute unlit she saw me. “Pip! I didn’t know you would be coming!” She pulled back the hood then ran up to me and gave me a hug. “Girl, what you doing here on Heart’s warming? Don’t you have a party to go to?”

“Yeah, I kind of forgot Homage’s present and I was wondering if I could look here? I rubbed the back of my head with my hoof, I didn’t want to guilty Xephry into giving me one but was tried and I needed something fast.

She giggled a bit then placed a hoof on my chest. “Little Pip we friends, of course, you can get a grift here it’s on the house. And since it’s a holiday I will if out for free.”

My ears shot up, I stare at her for a second in shock then gave her the biggest hug I could. “Thanks, girl! you the best friend ever.!” If I could find a way to repay Xephry I would, maybe free repairs from me for a year? Just then the sounds of the beads moving caused me to turn seeing an older zebra mare with a mane done into a ponytail step forward.

“What this about free stuff?” She asked while looking the pair over. “Xephry your caring for our friend Pip is good but giving away free potions is bad for business.” She said with a little annoyance.

Xephyr simply rolled her eyes, that look usually got me a smack on the horn when I was younger but Xephry could always have a little attitude with her mom. “Oh mom pip is a friend of ours, we can make an expectation with her.” Xephyr was a friend I’d helped back in my college days, she and her mother always called on me when they needed a free repair pony. For that, I usually got the best discount around. “I know the perfected grifted for Pip give Homage, the Full energy potion.” Xephyr’s face lit up and she pointed a hoof to a pink glowing set of potions on the back wall.

Xenith thought about that for a moment then sighed in defeat, I guess your friendship was worth losing some merch. “Fine, Pip can have that one as a gift for Homage since you did fix our carriage when it was broken.” I ran over and gave the older mare a hug, she and her daughter always were my heroes in my hour of need. Once Xenith helped nurse my mother back to health when she suffered liquor poisoning, another time Xephyr fix my foreleg when I broke it repairing their heater. If they weren’t the best friend I don’t know who was.

“Thank Ms.Xenith you’re a lifesaver!” we broke off the hug then as another thoughts cross my mind. “Hey, are you guys coming to the Heart’s Warming party tonight at my place?”

“I will be there but later, the shop is still busy on Heart’s warming,” Xenith said as she walked over to the back wall and started getting the potion. “I’m sure Xephyr will go earlier.

“Actually Pip I want to come with you now.” The hooded mare next to me perked up. “I want to help ya set up the party and get ready my own surprise.” A wink smirk across her face with that last sentence.

I quickly shot down any ideas Xephry was having, not after last year. “No horror stuff Xephry, it’s Heart’s Warming, not Nightmare night.” The zebra’s ear drop at that, but what would she expect after her last surprise of fake Timber Wolves drove half of the party away. “You can do a magic smoke play, but no horror monsters.” Mom still couldn’t get over the last one.

Xenith chuckled as she brought the potion to me. “I swear daughter your love for Nightmare night never ends, you would celebrate it all year if you could.” I took the bottle into my magic and began toward the door with Xephyr. “I will bring a special gift for your mother when I arrival so keep a parking space open for me.”

The wind blew through my hair as Xephry kept changing the radio station as we sped down the highway. “Jeez don’t you ponies got any good station, all that’s on here is country music.”

“Xephyr you gotta developed tastes,” I said using my magic to keep it on one station. “ Country is the music of the soul.”

She chuckled and kept changing it. “Soul of sleep I guess if need tunes or good rhymes.” She finally landed on a station that was blasting beats and rhymes. “This is music Pip, not that farm pony stuff.”

“I well at least your music ain’t Reggie’s stuff, that’s just nerve-racking,” I said as we pulled off the highway and onto the main street and pass under a sign saying Ponyville. Finally, home looking around at the old town always relax me after spending a day in the city, the town was a little busty this time of year with Holidays and all but it was also this time of year when the princess came to her old castle here. Ponyville had once been home to the princess and where’d she saved Equestria multiple times making it a perfect tourist trap, but she took steps to keep the town a quiet place. I drove up to my house and was greeted with the most “wonderful” sight, my mother passed out with on a lawn chair liquor bottles on a table next to her.

“Well, Pip seems your mom started the party early.” I could feel Xephry’s smile without looking at her, I swore under my breath and open the carriage door as Quickly as I could. As I walked up to the mare who should be my role model I could smell the faint odor of puck and I started to walk carefully.

“Mom!” I shouted at the top of my lungs. “Mom! Mom get up!” She just grunted and turned on her side. Using my magic I grab a pile of snow, I floated it over to her head then slap her across the face with it, seeing her groaned and rib her in annoyance brought a little smile to my face.

“Pip sweetie is that you?” She looked at her with a disapproving frown, I just gave her my “Are you really doing this face.” “Honey why would wake your poor mother like that, I’m resting after a long day of work and this is the thanks I get.”

I rolled my eyes than face hoofed. “Mom you didn’t work today first of all. Why are you outside doing this? Or at least in the backyard, you away from the neighbors.” By Twilight I didn’t need any of them talking about us again, we had enough rumors about us. “Shouldn’t you be cooking today?”

“Oh, sweet your friend Tia came over and is cooking for us.”

“Tia’s here!” My ears shot up at that, she usually worked all month during this time.

“Yeah, she said she wanted to help bake the cake and desserts since you had to work today.” I ran off from my mother as fast as I could, opening the door into our living room I was greeted with the sweet smell of cooking in the air. Walking over to the kitchen on the outside of the living room I saw a white unicorn mare with light pink hair taking a cake out of the oven with her magic and placing it on an island counter.

“Oh Little Pip you came home early, I wanted to surprise you.” She said looking up and giving me a warm smile.

I ran over and hugged her. “Tia I haven’t seen in awhile I thought this time of year your too busy?”

“Oh dear, I decide that spending the holiday with you was more important than at some desk.” She placed her hooves around me in a warm embrace. They swear she could melt the snow with just a touch. “It’s nice to see again Pip, maybe you and I should go on another road trip together I think it would be great to get away from Canterlot for a while.”

“I’ll think about that, but Tia how’s your sister?” I pulled away from the hug and began helping her ice the cake.

“Luu’s doing fine but is crackly as usual but she always works herself into a mood.” The white unicorn put a hoof to her chin for a moment. “Oh yeah I clean your room Pip, the place was a little unkempt so I took it upon myself to fix it and left you something.”

I stop at that, my room wasn’t that bad, I mean did leave my clothes lying about but I usually clean up food. “I think I will go check it out.” quietly pacing out of the kitchen and back into the living room I saw Xephry leading my mother into a chair next to the Heart’s warming tree, I just sighed. “Mom please take easy during celebration okay.”

“Oh Pipy your mother would not embarrass you, dear I just need to laid down for a while.” As Xephry laid her into the chair she fell asleep. I rolled my eyes and throttled up the stairs, my ears perking up as I heard the sound of the TV coming from my room. Walking through the upstairs game room toward my room I could hear the sounds of explosions and gunfire, some pony was playing my gaming system. Had Tia let some ponies she knew in?

Gripping the door nod in my magic I open it to see a white feather eagle looking griffin wearing a red striped shirt sitting on my bed, smoking a cigar in one hand and my gamepad in the other. “Reggie!” I said in shock and awe.

She turned her attention away from her game and was surprised for a moment. “Pip where ya? I get a free week off and your not home when I come.” I didn’t even care that she seemed a little annoyed, I ran over and hug her tight much to the shock of the griffon.

“Reggie I can’t believe your off from the Skyguard, I thought you were booked this year?” I broke off my hug and Reggie regain her posture.

“That’s the thing I got time off for some reason brass said it was a command from the top.” Reggie put out smoke in an ashtray on the bed then began walking toward my personal bathroom on the back wall. “They also told me they let someone else off for the Holidays.” Opening the door revealed the form of a rust-colored pegasus who wore a duster hat with Pancho.

“Calamity!” I said in shock as the breath left me.

The pegasus tipped his hat as he approached me with that kind smile he always had. “Mighty fine seein’ ya Pip.” He embraces and a big old southern hug. “Haven’t see ya in so long I nearly forgot ya girl, how ya been doin’?”

I wipe away little tears from my eyes, I sight of the rust-colored buck made my heart skip a beat, not seeing your friends in person for two years does that. “I..I’ve been fine Calamity, just being the old best Repair pony area.” I struggle to find the words to say, how could I both Reggie and Calamity got time off for the Holidays! That was a one in a million shot, I wonder who at the top decided to give them off time with Calamity being a captain and Reggie being a sergeant. Then my thoughts stop as one name came up. “Tia!”

“Huh? What’s wrong with Tia Little Pip?” Calamity and Reggie stare at me confused and concern.

“Oh eh? Tia’s asked me to help her ice the cake I forgot in all the hype.” I lied trying to hide my surprise as much as possible. Tia did this for me, probably had a lot of strings pulled to get them off but she did. I had to find a way to thank her later, maybe that second road trip just her and me was in order. “Oh Calamity, is Velvet here?”

He rubbed his head giving away that I wouldn’t like the answer. “She ain’t comin’ until later Little Pip, she decided to help out at homeless shelter today.” Of course, Velvet Remedy may have been a pop star but her true calling was more of a doctor who made it her job to heal and help every pony she could. She had a Ph.D. and probably would be a doctor if her music career didn’t take off.

“Well it’s just nice to see you two again,” I said honestly, Velvet might not be here but Calamity and Reggie being here was a miracle inside.

“Yeah well let’s celebrate by having me kick your ass in Stable battle.” Reggie grabbed another button pad, this one with glowing buttons on it’s boxed surface. “Got it for cheap at the base, someone was giving it away.”

My eyes lit up as I grabbed the button pad in my magic. “Holy shit Reggie! This thing would probably sell for a hundred bits, thanks, girl.” I plug it into the console and took a seat right next to the griffon, Calamity decided to go downstairs and help Tia out. “I haven’t beat you in Stable Battle in a year Reggie, you sure you want to remember the old days of losing?” I said with the widest smirk on my face.

Dream on Pony, I been playing this in my off time just to beat you!”

“Oh, I guess both of you forgot who beat you both all the time in all games.” We both took to the doorway to see Xephry standing there with a smug face. “Gimmie a button pad and I will remain you both whose boss.”

----

Day turned into night as the celebration started to kick off, we played a few games, Xephyr winning all the time in a game of cards and kindly taking my copy of Stable Battle for herself. Mom did her best to behave during the party, but when Xenith came over with a “special” cease of hard apple cider just for her and my mom I died a little inside and I think Xenith knew it. At least they were enchanted to stop vomiting.

Later me and Calamity sat around the table in the kitchen drinking and playing cards while the others danced in the other room. I cracked a wicked smile as I laid my cards down. “Freedom in week Calamity.”

He nickered and sighed in defeat, he grabbed a bag of bits in his teeth then threw them on the table. I giggle in glee at my new console money. “Dang girl where ya learn how to play like that?” He said as he pulled his hat down in shame.

“Oh I and mints have been playing all the time, you know how much downtime we have during the day.” I floated the bag under my chair as Calamity started dealing cards again. “I management to beat Mints enough she started cheating she to hope to beat me!”

Calamity chuckled a bit while slipping back in his chair. “Ya should have joined the military Pip, I reckon that y'all would be a captain in no time with how fast you learn. Hell if what Homage has been telling’ me ya became a crack shot since I’ve left.” I shook my head at the idea, combat wasn’t my thing I was an engineer, a repair pony. Sure I got good with guns in my spare time but I was no Calamity. He was the best sharpshooter in the sky guard able to hit a moving target with a battle saddle from 200 meters away, and he thought I was his equal.

“Nah Calam, I think fixing computers is my job,” I said as he sledded my cards over and too them into my magic. “I’d probably freeze up in a fight.”

“Ya underselling yourself Pip, I’ve seen you stand up to tough ponies before.” I winced at that, the fight between me and that very large earth pony mare and her pegasus at that casino wasn’t my smartest moment. But using that crate of silver chips from behind was, guess the name Silver Storm really did fit her. “Listen the military has jobs that ain’t combat relate Little Pip, you can become a service engineer and work as a repair mare on Sky Tanks.” he gave a faint smile as he held his cards in his wings, guarding them close to his face made me think he was cheating.

“I don’t think so Calam, as much as my mother can be hard to deal with I can’t leave her and Xephyr alone. Plus military life ain’t just for me it’s just a bunch waiting around and doing nothing.” Equestria haven’t been in a major war in 200 years, losing to the Zebras really knock down the country out of the superpower game. Most of the military that was used as a police force by the UE, nothing more.

He signed in defeat. “I reckon ya doin’ just fine here.”

“I hope we’re not interrupting anything?” Me and Calamity broke from our game to see two unicorns standing in the doorway to the living room. One a coated colored mare with a well done long white mane looked on in glee, the other a small grey mare with a wild blue mane

“Homage Velvet you came you made it!” Me and Calamity got up and hugged our two favorite mares, me holding homage enough to smell her perfume. “Baby I’m so glad to see you.”

We broke off and I got a good look at her, she wore a gold and black striped shirt with amber shades hiding her eyes. Her magic embraced the shades and lifted them to reveal her kind eyes giving me a hopeful look. “The workday was terrible babe, had to record five hours of material to play for the evening and tomorrow.” She looked down and heaved a little. “Honestly who’s going to be listening to the radio on Heart’s warming anyway?”

“Oh I feel ya, I had to be called in to repair ten computers today, Mints was completely stressed out by it.” My answer

“Every time I heard about that dreadful store you work at it’s you doing all the work.” She put a hoof on my head and began rubbing it. “Your boss doesn’t seem to know her head from her ass when it comes to working, honestly sweetie why not get another job? You know Tenpony could use your talents Pip, our last repair mare bait on us.” Homage then stopped in shock for a second then used her magic to open the saddlebag. “All this talk of work and I haven’t even given you my gift yet.” She lifted out a circular device that looked like a large watch, on its side was a screen with all kinds of buttons around it. “Surprise! I got you a new Pipbuck!”

I was lost for words, it looked like a new model probably cost a shiny bit. “Homage you shouldn’t have.” I took the device and wrap it around my left foreleg, the screen spark to life showing a picture of apps and a cartoon pony that was me. “I love it!” I said as I play with it.

“Well Homage it seems you gave Pip a new toy to play with, she’ll be playing with that forever.” Velvet’s chuckling made me stop, I blush a little. I and Pipbucks were a match made in heaven, I often took them apart to upgrade them to my liking, adding more functions or making it more durable as my pass time.

“Homage got you something special too! Hold on.” Remembering my little gift from Xenith, I reached into my saddlebag and put out a pink glowing bottle. “I hope you like this it cost a big bit, it will help you stay active for a whole day after just a slip and never get tired.” I gleeful floated the bottle over to her, the look on her face melted my heart as she took it.

“Oh sweetie, you shouldn't have!” she gave me the biggest kiss on the check for that and her hoof around me. “You’re always thinking of me babe I don’t know how much it cost you but I’m going to it worth your while.” If my face could turn anymore redder at that moment I’d be an apple.

“Well, it’s nice to see Pip’s still thin skin.” The words broke me from my trail of thought, I turned to see an older looking Griffin with a scar running along her beck standing in the doorway.

“Gawd I didn’t know you were coming,” I said in a confused and surprise manner.

The Griffin simply shrugged. “I got a call that my daughter got time off so I decide to come, plus I wanted to see your friend Tia about something.” She pulled out a cigar from a bag around her waist and began smoking much to the annoyance of everyone else. “That’s the good stuff.”

Tia and mom came in behind the large griffin, Tia wore a smug smile on her face telling me this was her doing. “Every pony we’re ready to start the dinner since everyone has arrived.” Tia walked over to shove and opened it releasing the sweet smile of the finished cake. “Now would some pony help get the table ready.”

The dining room was probably the most classy looking part of the house, the floor was a wood pattern with black stripes, a large wooden cabin sat on the right side of the room, glass windows showing clean silver dining plates. Above us a glass shadier glowed a bright yellow, we sat around a squad table as Tia passed out plates. Homage, Reggie, and Xehpry sat next to me with the latter two playing paper Skycarriage. all the older girls sat next to each other with each talking about the lovely topic, they’re former marriages. “The bastard would always come home at 1 am with a smell ‘em, he says he was out with the boys but that never explained the makeup on his neck.” Gawd huff in angry.

“Shit girl I’m surprised fool never brought the bitch home with him.” She said as she took another sip of her drink. “Ever found who he was sleeping with?”

“No, but the smell of Rainbow perfume on him.”

Xenith laugh. “Always the pegasus mare that ends up in a buck’s bed.”

I shrink back into my seat as Tia put my plate in front of me. “Okay I think everything is set up correctly Pip would you like to say the prayer.” Tia took a seat next Velvet and Calamity after placing her plate down. My heart sink, I didn’t prepare a prayer for today and now was putting me on the spot I knew prayers but none for big days, I looked at Tia but she just gave me a patient smile. The others had already put their heads down in prayer so I had a little time.

Homage opened her left eye, smiled, then used her magic to lift a piece of paper to my face. Reading it caused me to sigh a breath of relief, Homage was always there in a jam. I cleared my throat and began to speak. “We thank You, Harmony, for all you give; the food we eat, the lives we live; and to our loved ones far away, please send your blessings, Harmony we pray. And help us all to live our days with thankful hearts and loving ways. Amen.”

“Finally! Let’s eat!” Reggie being to the point as usual.

Our food was a serving of smoked carrot bits, BBQ hay, all flavored muffins, apple pie, cherry pie, peach cigar, chocolate and vanilla cakes, and grilled meat for Reggie and Gawd. All in all, Tia put her work into this.

“Dang girl you know your way around a kitchen.” Calamity was eating like alike he hadn’t tasted real food in a long time, given his long service period that’s probably it. “Wish Velvet knew how to cook like this.”

Velvet Remedy stopped her slow polite eating and gave him the hardest sink face. “Guess who’s cleaning up after Pyrelight for two months?” At that Calamity stop his fast eating.

“Oh, I was just joking heh.”

“Oh no no no, since my food clearly hasn’t been that great, I think it’s time to step up my game.” Her evil smile made Calamity turn from happy tough military pony to a buck read to run at any minute.

“Say Tia about our contract being renewed.” Gawd bit into the meat and tore a good chuck out. “My girls and I need the work.”

Reggie rolled her eyes. “Work work work, geez mom I think you want to die working.” Gawd gave her best “you getting slap later young lady’” but kept talking with Tia.

“I will see to it your contracts are reinstated, can’t have the best Talon company up and leaving us.” Tia always looking for everyone, I wish had her pull then again being Equestria’s silent ruler had drawbacks. “There may be some nesting of teeth at court they will listen to reason.” She took a bite out of a huge piece of cake as she talked. In fact, her whole plate was nothing but sweets.

“Oh, that reminds me.” Xenith looked under her seat and pulled up a wine bottle in her teeth, sitting it on the table she smiled at my mom. “I brought it for you Apple.” If my mom’s eyes could lit anymore, the room would be the sun.

I could feel start feeling myself died as I watch her hoof down the beverage like it was orange juice. She was having the time of her life, I wished I was anywhere right now. A hoof tap broke me from my rising anger. “Yo Pip, you want to 1v1 me again after this?” Xephyr's smug face made me forget the crime going on in front of me.

“Oh we playing tonight again, I’m making it 20 for 30 this time.”

She gave me that shit-eating grin. “It’s not 20 to 30 it’s…”

“I remember the score! I’m just about to set that score right!”

“I don’t know what you losers are talking about, while both of you complete I sit up unchallenged at the top.” We both stop and stare at Reggie, the griffon not even turning her attention away from her meal. “Whoever wins just has the pleasure of fighting me.”

Homage laugh at our display, she then lifted the pink potion from her bags and brought it to me face. “Hope your playing isn’t too long, I have a smile party plan tonight.” That got weird stares from my mom and Xenith, squeak than buried my face in my hooves.

“Young love is beautiful ain’t it Apple.” Xenith inquirer

“When your young it is. It’s all love and sex unlit your pregnant then they bait on ya.”

“What mom!” I look at her in shock

“Oh what Pip we know you two getting married, and I know you gonna give me some foals with how you two play around. It’s only a matter of time before you two get into that magic dick stuff.”

“Mom! What the fuck!” I couldn’t bury myself deeper if hell was under me. Clearly the drink was already setting in.

“That magic dick stuff is all the rage these days, I should try it.” I could feel Tia’s smug look without looking.

“Maybe I will try it on Calamity as punishment every time he misses a dinner date.” I heard Eyup from Calamity at that.

“Seems your mother is a wise mare Pip.” Homage whisper into my ear, I just laid there as everyone laugh the night away.

-----

I woke up with the feeling of sweat and the odor of musk around me, as I use my magic to turn on a light I heard the soaring of homage next to me. I quickly laid back down not wanting to wake her. Her heavy breathing made getting back to sleep a bit hard so I took the time to just sit there and think about my life.

The past five years had been soul-changing, I’d met Velvet while she was on tour, we hit it off and became best friends. She took me all over Equestria, meeting and learning all the most important ponies. And she led me to Homage, can’t believe she’d set up fake repair request just to get me to meet her, Velvet was one little devil. But my life wouldn’t be this way without Tia, She’d been in a depressed state when we meet and I was lonely as could be, we were the perfect match for each other. I probably would be weck without her and Homage.

“Are you up sweetie?” Homage said half asleep. “Was my message not good enough?”

I blush then looked at her colorful eyes. “No, just thinking about like and how I’m the luckiest mare live to have you and the others.” She put a hoof on my cheek, kissed me on the horn made than rolled over and giggle.

“You always think too much Pip.” I cuddle up next to her and place my muzzle into her sweet-smelling her.

“Because I have a lot to think about.” The last words as I doze off into her warm embrace.
