Rainbow Dash Loses her Wings

Twilight looked over her checklist one last time.
“Put shopping list in saddlebags... Check.”
Satisfied, the lavender unicorn closed the library door behind her, quickly trotting off towards the market square.

“Psst! Twilight!”
Twilight turned towards the whispering bush. “Dash? What are you doing?”
A cyan head with a rainbow mane poked out of the bush, eyes rapidly scanning the surroundings. “I need your help, Twilight,” she whispered.
“What’s wrong, Dash? You know I’ll always help you”
“I know, Twilight. It’s just that... I can’t find my wings.”

“So, Rainbow. How exactly did you... lose your wings?”
The two ponies were seated in the library, Rainbow wearing a brown cloak, hood drawn up.
“Are you sure that’s even possible?” Twilight asked, one eyebrow raised.
“I don’t know! I woke up in a bush this morning, and they were just gone!”
“In a bush? What exactly did you do last night?”
“Um... Do you really want to know?”
“I need to if I’m going to help you, Rainbow. I’m sure it can’t have been too bad.”
“Okay then... Vinyl had a party-”
Twilight’s eyes widened. “Nonono. Let’s... Not go there, alright? Just... Did you still have your wings then?”
“I did. I know i did up until the first one. Everything after that is a bit...”
“Hazy, I know. So... Who else was there?”
“Fluttershy. Do you think she knows - or remembers - where my wings are?”
“Why don’t we just go ask her ourselves?”

Dash carefully stuck her head out of the front door of the library. Deciding that the coast was clear, she silently tip-hoofed her way outside, motioning for Twilight to follow.
“Dash, you are wearing a cloak. Nopony can see that your wings are-”
“NOT SO LOUD!” the former pegasus roared. Grinning sheepishly at the heads she had turned, she tip-hoofed to the street, turning in the direction of Fluttershy’s cottage.
“And sneaking around like that will just attract even more attention. Could you please just walk normally?”
“But... I don’t want anypony to see me like this! What if they told the Wonderbolts? Then they will never let me become a member. My life is ruined!” Dash sat down in the middle of the street, tears streaming down her face.
Twilight sighed, closed her eyes, and trotted off towards Fluttershy’s cottage.

“Twilight, darling! Fancy meeting you here. Now, what... is Rainbow doing?”
“She’s sneaking around, trying not to be seen. By the way, were you at Vinyl’s party yesterday?”
“Oh, good heavens, no. Actually, I planned on going, but... Then I heard Fluttershy was going too, so I politely declined. Why do you ask?”
“Rainbow...” Twilight leaned closer, lowering her voice to a whisper, “She lost her wings, probably at the party.”
“Oh, really? Well, I guess Fluttershy would be the pony to ask, then. She’s always the center of... everything... at Vinyl’s parties. Not that I envy her, no. I would not be in her position if I got paid for it. But, it seems to please her, so...”
“Who are we to judge, right? Anyway, I figured the same thing, so that’s where we’re heading now. Nice talking to you, Rarity.”
“Nice to see you too, Twilight, and Rainbow.”

“Wainwoh, htoh!”
“No, you let go!”
Twilight levitated Dash up from the ground with her magic, and let go of her tail. “Dash, we’re not going to spy on Fluttershy to see if she has your wings. We are going to ask her, politely, if she knows where they are. Is that understood?”
Dash flailed her limbs. “But what if she gets offended? I know she likes talking about Vinyl’s parties even less than you do. What if we hurt her feelings? What if she doesn’t want to have sex with me anymore?”
Twilight knocked on Fluttershy’s door. “We’ll just have to see, won’t we?”

“Um... You could sit down, if you want to, and I have some tea ready, if you want.”
“Thank you, Fluttershy, but there is something Rainbow needs to ask you.”
Panic flashed through Fluttershy’s mind. Was there something wrong? Something that she had done?
Rainbow carefully studied the floor in front of her. “You remember the party last night, don’t you? You see-”
“Nonono! I... don’t remember much. Could we please talk about something else? Please?”
“I lost my wings. I was wondering if you had any idea where they were.”
“Oh... That. Hang on a moment.” The pegasus flew upstairs, returning a few seconds later. “Here is one of them.” She hoofed a blue wing to Rainbow. “When I woke up in the bush outside my cottage, it was stuck in my mane. I haven’t seen the other one, sorry.”
Rainbow took off her cloak, grabbed the wing in her mouth, and put it back onto her back, flapping it a few times. “Seems to be working alright. Now, where do we look for the other one? I can’t join the Wonderbolts with just one wing.”
“Um... You could ask Vinyl herself. If you want to, I mean. I’m not saying you have to, or anything...”
The unicorn smiled at the shy pegasus. “It’s okay, Fluttershy. We’ll go ask her now. Have a nice day!”

Some of her confidence back, Dash decided to walk normally, rather than sneak suspiciously, for the rest of their quest. This had gone much better than expected - Fluttershy hadn’t freaked out at the mention of Vinyl’s name, and she had even had her wing! Fluttershy, you will get your reward tonight, and it will be orgasmic!
“Dash, that is the kind of thing you don’t really want to announce to all of Ponyville, you know.”
Her face bright red, Rainbow decided it might be better to keep sneaking after all.

“Hey! Dash! What are you doing here? And why is Twilight walking so normally? She does seem kind of suspicious. Oh, I know, maybe a cupcake will help! Do you want a cupcake, Twilight?”
“Sorry, Pinkie, maybe another time. By the way, were you at Vinyl’s-”
“Nonono. I never go to Vinyl’s parties. Well, I did go there once, but... My body wasn’t ready. And I don’t think it will ever be. See you later, Twilight, Dash!”

Walking towards the town DJ’s house, Twilight noticed something blue sticking out of a bush on the side of the street. “Rainbow, is that...”
Rainbow turned around to look. “It is!” She quickly placed the wing where it belonged, before using it, and her other one, to hover above the ground. “Thanks for the help, Twilight! I wouldn’t have gotten them back if it wasn’t for you! See you later!”
Twilight simply watched with a smile as Rainbow spiralled off into the sky.
