This time, it’s Danny’s turn to experience Equestria. Seeing things that his sister did not.
When Megan’s brother, Danny, is preparing to spend a weekend away from home, he didn’t count on going to Equestria. One of Twilight Sparkle’s friends is willing to make this weekend very memorable.
Outside the Williams’ family home, Danny Williams is waiting outside wearing his backpack. His sister, Megan, stands by his side.
“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Danny asked.
“Relax, Danny.” Megan replied. “You wanted to go away for the weekend. Don’t you?”
“Of course, Megan. But, is Equestria a good place to go?”
“Don’t panic. I was a little nervous my first time going to Equestria too. But, thanks to Twilight Sparkle, I adjusted pretty good.”
Suddenly, Twilight Sparkle appeared and surprised the kids. “Hi, guys.”
“Wow!” Danny said with astonishment. “So, you’re Twilight Sparkle. Nice to meet you.”
“Nice to meet you too, Danny.”
I wish Twilight would stop doing that. Megan thought. She then turned to the lavender alicorn. “When did you show up here, Twi?”
“I flew by here five minutes ago.” Twilight answered. “I decided to teleport here to surprise you.”
“You surprised us all right.”
Twilight turned to Danny. “Are you ready to go, friend?”
Danny climbed on Twilight’s back. “Ready as I’ll ever be.”
“Then, hang on.”
Twilight Sparkle lifted up and took off with Danny holding on. Megan watched them take off. “Happy travels, brother.”
Minutes later, Twilight and Danny flew across the Rainbow Bridge, and arrived at Equestria. Danny was surprised.
"I never thought the path to the pony world would open up again." Danny said. "I hope your home in Ponyville is as quiet as Megan said it is."
"Trust me, Danny." Twilight replied. "It is."
Twilight landed. And, Danny got off. He looked around, and is impressed. "This village of Ponyville is a charming sight. I feel very relaxed coming here."
"Thanks, Danny." Twilight replied. "Let me show you around."
Twilight showed Danny all over the village, and pointed out various places. Danny got a quick glimpse of Sweet Apple Acres.
"I can see why Megan likes this area." Danny happily stated. "This makes her feel at home."
"The Apple family are very happy that she came to visit." Twilight replied.
Soon, the young boy was amazed at the School of Friendship. "Wow! Hard to believe that you and your friends are teachers in this school, Twilight. I guess it's doing good, seeing all of these different creatures getting along."
"I'm glad you appreciate it." Twilight praised.
Rarity then rushed over to deliver some news. "Twilight! I was contacted by Sassy Saddles at the Canterlot Carousel. A new clothing line is on the way."
"Wow!" Twilight yelped, "It must be very special for Sassy Saddles to be excited."
Danny walked up to the white unicorn, and automatically recognized her. "You must be Rarity. The elegance of the Mane Six." The young boy bowed. "A pleasure to meet you."
Rarity looks at the young human boy. soon, she smiley kindly. "You must be Daniel Williams. Megan's brother. She told me all about you."
"I'm sure she did." Danny gave her a small hug. "So, what's this news you have?"
"Follow us to Twilight's castle. I'll explain it to you there."
Inside the map room, Rarity gave everyone the news. "My store in Canterlot, the Canterlot Carousel, is bringing out a new constellation line."
"Constellations?" Applejack blurted. "Like those lines of stars at night?"
"That's right, Applejack."
"Wowee!" Pinkie Pie chirped as she jumped excitedly. "That sounds like a star studded collection!"
"Take it easy, Pinkie Pie." Danny said to the party pony. "Don't want to see anypony tackled like what happened to my sister."
Pinkie Pie calmed down, knowing that Danny was right. "Sorry, Danny. I just get excited easily."
"I can tell."
"When will this new line of clothes be coming out?" Fluttershy wondered.
"Tomorrow morning." Rarity answered. "I'll head over to Canterlot to see these clothes. Anypony want to accompany me?"
Twilight and friends look at each other with puzzled faces.
"Y'all know I'm not much on the fashion world." Applejack said.
"That's true, darling." Rarity replied. "Besides, I heard you and your family are helping your cousin, Braeburn, in Appleloosa tomorrow."
"Yup. But, I'll be back later that night for the after party."
"Party?" Danny yelped. "What kind?"
"There's going to be a party at Canterlot Park to celebrate this new constellation line." Rarity informed. "And, Pinkie has been asked to set this party up."
"That's where I'm at my best!" Pinkie said happily.
Rainbow Dash walked up to the young boy. "How about YOU go with Rarity, Danny?"
"Me?" Danny yelped, caught off guard. "I don't know, Rainbow Dash. Do you think that I can be a great help?"
"Think about it, pal. I heard that you find Rarity very pretty when you first saw her. I'm sure she would like you to be with her."
"Dashie is right, Danny." Applejack added. "Megan told us that you behave well when among elegant types."
Danny thought about it for a while. Then, he approached Rarity. "Rarity, I would be honored to accompany you to your boutique in Canterlot."
"Thank you, Daniel." Rairty squealed as she gave Danny a hug. "Your sister would be proud of you for this."
"I guess so." Danny replied as he felt very proud.
Later that day, Rarity escorted Danny to her home.
"Wow!" Danny gasped. "This is your home that's also your flagship store here in Ponyville?"
"Correct, my friend." Rarity answerd. "This is the place that started it all for me."
As the two figures walk in the house, Rarity's sister, Sweetie Belle, rushes over to welcome Rarity home.
"Welcome home, sis." Sweetie Belle greeted. "Excited about tomorrow?"
"Indeed I am, Sweetie Belle." Rarity replied. "And, this fine young man is joining me tomorrow."
Sweetie Belle saw Danny, and is surprised. "Are you one of those human kids who used to visit Equestria in the days of Ponyland?"
"That's me." Danny replied. "My name is Danny. It's a pleasure to meet you, Sweetie Belle."
"You know who I am?"
"I do. Your sister, Rarity, told me all about you. Sounds like you want to rise up to fame just like your sister."
Rarity nudged Danny on his belly. "Danny, take it easy. You're making me blush."
"I'm just stating a fact. Besides, I'm sure you want to help Sweetie Belle achieve any dream she has. No matter how small."
Rarity had to admit, Danny was right. "That's ture, my friend."
Later that night, Rarity and Sweetie Belle relaxed in the kitchen having some chamomile tea and some raspberry tarts. Danny, wearing a long sleeve white shirt and blue camoflage sleep pants and slipppers, join them.
"I hope you're feeling relaxed, my friend." Rarity said to Danny.
"I certainly am, Rarity." Danny replied. "This chamomile tea is a good way to wind down before bedtime."
Rarity is happy to hear that. Sweetie Belle noticed Danny's sleepwear. "I like your sleep pants, Danny."
"Thanks, Sweetie Belle." Danny said happily. "Got to adjust with the times, you know."
After the tea and tarts were over with and the dishes washed, Sweetie Belle went to bed. Rarity and Danny went to the living room. She noticed that a blanket and two pillows are on the couch.
"Daniel," Rarity wondered, "why do you insist on sleeping on the couch?"
"Twilight told me that you sometimes get unexpected visitors before bedtime." Danny answered. "So, the visitors will probably take the guest room. Besides, I don't mind sleeping on the couch."
"I understand. This way, you don't crowd anypony out."
"That's right, Rarity."
There was a sudden knock at Rarity's door. She answered it, and in comes a light blue pony with a white mane and tail, wearing magenta glasses and a black and white striped outfit.
"Photo Finish!" Rarity yelped. "What brings you here?"
"I have come to ask if I can spend the night here." Photo Finish answered. "I am heading to Canterlot tomorrow to see this constellation clothing line at the Canterlot Carousel."
"That's what I have in mind too. Would you like me to show you to the guest room?"
"That would be fine, Rarity. Lead the way."
As Rarity and Photo Finish enter the living room to head upstairs to the guest room, Photo spotted Danny getting comfy on the couch, and rushed over to see him.
"Hello there, friend!" Photo shouted, causing Danny to be shocked. "Sorry if I stirred you."
Danny started to panic. "Who...who..who are you?"
Rarity came over to calm him down. "Danny, this is my friend, Photo Finish."
"Photo Finish?" Danny gasped. "A photographer pony?"
"That is correct." Photo answerd as she looks at the boy. "Danny, huh? You are one of the human children who visited Equestria in the days of Ponyland. Right?"
"Yeah, that's me." Danny replied nervously.
Photo put her hoof on his shoulder. "Don't be so nervous, my boy. I'm not dangerous. Just very energetic." She backs up a little. "What brings you here anyway?"
Danny gives Photo an answer. "I came here to Ponyville to spend a weekend away from home. Rarity told me about this clothing line coming to Canterlot. And, I volunteered to join her at her store there."
"Sounds like a good idea to me."
Soon, Rarity and Photo went upstairs to the guest room as the pony fashionista wishes good night to her guest. "Good night, Danny."
"Good night, Rarity." Danny replied.
Danny took off his cap, turned off the light on the table near the couch, and draped the blanket on him. Soon, he fell asleep. The next morning, Danny was still sleeping when Sweetie Belle rushed downstairs and jumped on Danny. The bouncing startled the sleepy young lad, as he looked at Rarity's sister. "Was that bouncing on me necessary, Sweetie Belle?"
"Sorry, Danny." Sweetie Belle responded. "But, I figured it's time to wake up and get ready to head for Canterlot Carousel. Rarity and Photo will be up pretty soon."
Sweetie Belle went back upstairs. Danny stretched, grabbed his cap, and placed it back on his head.
That Sweetie Belle. Danny thought. She's probably better than an alarm clock.
Rarity and Danny walk down the streets of Canterlot. Both impressed with the atmosphere.
“Canterlot is fantastic.” Danny chirped. “Megan should visit this place someday.”
“I believe you’re right, Daniel.” Rarity said. “Perhaps I’ll bring her here when the time is right.”
Danny’s stomach started grumbling. Rarity giggled at this moment. “Sounds like somebody is hungry.”
“I guess I did forget to grab something to eat.” Danny realized.
“Not to worry, my friend.” Photo Finish said as she approached the duo. “I went to Joe’s Donut Shop, and grabbed some donuts for us.” She pulled out a donut covered with powered sugar. “Here’s one for you.”
Danny took one bite. When he saw some red stuff come out of the donut, he was happy. “Wow! A jelly donut! Thanks, Photo.”
“My pleasure, Danny.”
The three friends made their way to Rarity's store, the Canterlot Carousel.
"So, this is your store in Canterlot. Huh, Rarity?" Danny inquired.
"That's right, darling." Rarity answered. "This is where the new clothing line is at."
"I wonder what kind of clothing displays constellations of stars."
"There's only one way to find out." Photo finish replied as she opens the door to the store. "Let's go in."
They go in the store when they saw store manager, Sassy Saddles, talking to a light teal Pegasus with a red mane and tail and five bright stars as a cutie mark.
"That pony behind the counter is Sassy Saddles." Rarity explained to Danny. "She's the manager of this store."
"Who's that pony she's talking to?" Danny asked. "A customer?"
Photo Finish got excited about this visiting pony. "That pony is Nova Stargazer! I heard that she's the creator of this new clothing line."
"I heard of Nova Stargazer." Rarity realized. "I hear that when the stars come out, she looks at them and recognizes the patterns of the stars."
Danny smiled hearing that. "A pony after my own heart. Megan, Molly, and I like looking at the stars at night too."
Nova turned, looked at the three visitors, and greeted them with a british accent. "Rarity! The owner of the Canterlot Carousel. I've been wanting to meet you."
Nova made her way to give Rarity a hug. The fashionista pony was surprised that Nova recognized her. "You know about me?"
"I certainly do, dearie. And, I also know about your friend, Photo Finish. The avid photographer."
"It is an honor to meet you." Photo replied as she and Nova hugged each other.
Danny got a little nervous and backed away. Then, Sassy Saddles got his attention. "Excuse me, young man."
"Uh...yes?" Danny nervously replied.
"I heard my friend, Rarity, talking to you. Are you really one of those Williams kids who visited Equestria in the days of Ponyland?"
"Yes, Miss Saddles. My name is Danny. Pleased to meet you."
"Please, Danny. Call me Sassy. All my friends do."
Soon, Rarity, Photo, and Nova approached the counter.
"Danny," Photo suggested, "can you please move so that I can take a picture of Rarity, Sassy, and Nova together?"
"Sure, Photo." Danny repled. "Anything to oblige."
Danny moved out of the way so that Sassy stepped from behind the counter, and posed woth Rarity amd Nova Stargazer.
"Okay, my marefriends." Photo Finish announced. "Hold it."
Photo snapped her picture. Rarity turned to Nova. "Darling, is your new clothing line here?"
"Yes, it is." Nova answered. "In fact, I was just talking to Sassy about my new line. It's in the back, waiting to be unboxed."
"Sassy and I will head to the back and get the boxes."
Rarity and Sassy went to the back to fetch the new clothes. Nova approached the young human visitor.
"Daniel Williams." Nova said happily. "I was hoping to meet any of you Williams kids."
"You heard of us?" Danny gasped. "I didn't know even fashion designers know of our adventures."
"You'd be surprised to hear who learned of your adventures in the days of Ponyland."
Danny blushed hearing that phrase. Megan is right. Our adventures in the past ARE like an open book.
Minutes later, the clothing line is taken out, and put on display. Rarity and company were astonished.
"My goodness, Nova." Rarity gasped. "These outfits are gorgeous! Different colors and patterns to be sure. But, each article of clothing has lines of stars stitched on."
"Yeah." Danny added as Photo Finish took pictures. "Even Princess Luna would love to have a custom outfit from you."
Rarity looked at Danny confused. "How did you know about Princess Luna, darling?"
"Megan told me about her meeting with the princess of the night."
Rarity's face turned red. "Oh, yes. That's true."
"Funny you should mention Luna." Nova Stargazer said. "I'm prepearing a custom gown just for her. The starry outfit will indeed match her mane and tail."
The group saw a red gown with orange and marigold on the bottom. They were amazed at the star desing looking like a human warrior.
"I know this constellation." Danny realized. "This is Orion the Hunter!"
"Correct, Danny." Nova replied. "I'm saving this for Dragon Lord Ember."
"Are you sure the leader of the dragons will go for this?"
"Calm yourself, Daniel." Rarity confirmed. "Dragons can be fierce warriors. I think this tribute to Orion the Hunter is a grand idea."
Danny looked at it. And, he agrees with Rarity. "You made a good point."
The group saw a smaller light blue gown as Nova explained. "This gown I made for the little fillies out there. After all, kids like to look fashionable too."
"Like your sister, Sweetie Belle. Right, Rarity?" Danny whispered.
"You may be on to something." Rarity whispered back.
Photo Finish noticed the star design on the gown. "It looks like the constellation on this one has a tail included."
"A scorpion tail to be exact." Danny noticed. "I think this constellation is Scorpius, the Scorpion. Right, Nova?"
"You're right, my friend." Nova replied. "Good noticing."
Danny blushed as Sassy Saddles looked at another dress. It's a deep blue gown with holes for wings.
"Did you make this outfit for Pegasi?" Sassy asked.
"Yes, I did." Nova answered. "Any pegasi will love this one."
"I assume that this dress has the Pegasus constellation stitched on it." Danny stated.
"Good guess, Danny."
Rarity and Photo Finish are both impressed with Danny's knowledge of constellations.
"I guess all of that time Daniel spent looking at stars with his sisters pays off." Photo realized.
"Indeed, Photo." Rarity said.
Danny looked at two dresses. A big forest green dress and one small lime green dress. After noticing the stars on the dresses, she got everypony's attention. "Rarity! Photo! Sassy! Check this out!"
The three ponies went over to Danny, wondering what he saw.
"What is it, darling?" Rarity asked.
Danny gave her and her friends an answer. "Big Dipper and Little Dipper."
Photo Finish looked at the ladel type constellations on the dresses, and realized something. "You're right, Danny. You have a good eye for stars."
"Thanks, Photo." Danny said as he blushed.
Later, Rarity and Danny stepped out of the store, both satisfied with the outfits.
"Wow, Rarity." Danny said happily. "Those dresses look amazing. I'm not one for fashion. But, the star designs are impressive."
"The one thing that's impressive is your knowledge of star constellations." Rarity replied. "Even Photo Finish admires your keen eye."
"Where is Photo Finish anyway?"
"She stayed behind talking to Nova Stargazer about her clothing line. I hope she has plenty of film ready for the party Twilight told you about."
Suddenly, they were approached by Princess Celestia. Danny recognized the alicorn. "You're Princess Celestia. My sister told me about you."
"Hello, Daniel." Celestia greeted. "I'm very happy to meet you."
Danny and Celestia embraced in a warm hug, bringing a tear in Rarity's eye.
"What brings you here from your castle?" Danny wondered.
"I heard of this constellation clothing line at the Canterlot Carousel." Celestia informed. "And, I heard that there's a special outfit made for my sister, Princess Luna."
"That's what we heard too. Maybe the designer, Nova Stargazer, has it in the store."
"I'll check on it right away. Maybe she'll wear it at the party tonight. Nice meeting you, Daniel."
As Celestia leaves for the store, Danny wondered something. "Where's this party going to be held anyway?"
"At Canterlot Park." Rarity answered. "Many honored guests will be there. Including Twilight and the rest of the Mane Six."
"You're part of the Mane Six. Aren't you?"
Rarity blushed a little. "You are correct, my friend."
Later that night, a party is held at Canterlot Park. Many ponies and other creatures gathered. Mainly to celebrate Nova Satrgazer's clothing line. Princess Luna looked lovely in a magenta gown with the Pegasus constellation sparkling in the moonlight. Somewhere near a fountain, Danny talks to an elegant couple.
"I'm impressed with your behavior, young man." Said a yellow male pony with an orange mane, red tail, and a short mustache. "I would imagine that someone like you would go, shall we say, insane with boredom. Noticing the company you're associating with."
"That's not my style." Danny informed. "I learned to adjust to what ever environment I'm at. Besides, my mother told me how to behave in a polite manner."
A sweet red female pony with a curly yellow mane and lime green tail approached Danny and gave him a sweet kiss on the cheek. "You are indeed a sweet youngster, Daniel. Pleasure to meet you."
The couple leave the scene as Danny started to blush after that kiss he received. Luna came along to talk to him. "What's wrong, my friend? Embarrassed by a kiss?"
Danny snapped out of his dazzlement and saw the alicorn. "Princess Luna. Sorry if I spaced out."
"That's okay. That happens to many of us here in Equestria. This is quite a night for Nova Stargazer. Isn't it?"
"It sure is. I heard that Ember liked the dress that was made for her."
Luna and Danny looked at Ember thanking Nova for the outfit. She said that the constellation of Orion fitted her perfectly.
"I'll bet you'll have some stories to tell your sister, Megan, when you return home tomorrow." Luna figured.
"You know something, Princess Luna," Danny replied. "I think you're right."
