Vanhoover sure has change
When I was in my different universe, Vanhoover was just an old ruin city. Now that I'm in this universe, it's not just broke down building structures that would collapse but actual buildings that now stand tall around me. Sure I do like this universe that it's just peaceful and happy but I do miss my friends back in my timeline, where I was born in.
Natetrix the gray magical pegasus was walking down a narrow street in the city of Vanhoover as a short cut since he didn't like the main busy streets of this city. But also he took this short cut to get to the park to meet two of his close friends, Rainbow Dash, and Gilda.
This would be the 5th time that Natetrix would be meeting them but he would know that he was late again. Natetrix was usually late to meeting with all his friends here in this Equestria. For example that one time when Spike wanted to sit down and talk with Natetrix at seven, but while later the gray pegasus was trying to get out the door of Rarity Boutique as Rarity was going on and on about her styling collection of dresses.
As the gray pegasus finally reaches out of the narrow street, he crossed the main busy street of Vanhoover and finally into the park where he walks through and pushes the metal gates. Natetrix was now walking on a smooth cobblestone path down this well nice size park, with trees, and when he got to the middle of the park he was now faced with a fountain. It was a nice concrete fountain with the usual pony statue on top, Natetrix thought and screw it. Natetrix reaches his hand down into his messager bag on his side and pulled out a coin, which then he gently toss the coin into the waters of the fountain.
After that Natetrix went around the fountain and continue down another path. Over the nice sound of birds chirping in the trees, Natetrix would near be near a basketball court in his sights as he could hear a ball being dribbled hard on the pavement concrete of the court.
When the gray pegasus walks down to the path of the court: there were two figures on the court playing basketball, and when Natetrix got closer he saw clearly that it was just Rainbow Dash, and Gilda having a basketball game with each other, a 1v1 matchup.
The court was surrounded by a black steel fence and a small steel gate, and there were a total of only two courts inside this fence cage that Dash and Gilda were in, so Natetrix unhook the latch that was connected between the fence end and the steel gate.
"Ohhh YEAH!" as Natetrix was entering inside the cage, he saw Dash yelling those words as she slammed the ball inside the hoop and coming back down onto the ground of the court as for Gilda was on her butt first on the ground behind the backboard, She got dunk on hard.
"You got lucky Dash," said Gilda as she got up wiping down on the bottom of her shorts. Rainbow just gave a grin at her best friend griffin and then chuckled.
"That's game, twelve to five." Dash stuck her hand out to for a handshake, her best friend in return stuck out her claw-like hands and they both shook.
Natetrix was putting his messager bag on one of the steel benches and walk over onto the court. The two girls turn heads to Natetrix and Dash smiled and gaze over to him.
"There you are Natetrix." Dash passes the basketball to Gilda next to her as Dash walk down in front of Natetrix and both Natetrix and Dash gave a brofist.
"Your fricken late dud, where were you?" ask Dash as she was concern about her friend pegasus being so late.
"Well, you know my castle is far, far out of your world right?" Natetrix said
"But couldn't you just teleport anywhere in Equestria?" ask Dash
"Well, I can only travel to specific locations if I was starting to teleport from my castle and-"
"Alright alright, don't be like Twilight now with a million words to explain, I think I get it," Dash said as she had her finger on Natetrix lips and moving them quickly away.
Natetrix turns his attention to Gilda, who the griffin was now walking past Dash and was staring up at Natetrix before giving him a hug, with Natetrix returning the hug. It had been a month since they have seen each other but Natetrix guesses when you have a bond and being gone for a while that bond would always stay close and bond being far away and not with each other means it's missing.
Natetrix looks over at Dash, who smirks and crosses her arms under her chest as Gilda let go and Natetrix focusing back on Gilda's eyes again.
"Hey, slim boy."
"Jeez, Gilda I told you to stop calling me that," Natetrix said as Gilda rolled her eyes and chuckled.
"Get used to it Dweeb." They both smiled, but Gilda smiled turn to Dash and she glare dart eyes at her.
"Not say a word Dash." Rainbow Dash chuckled and smiled
"What did you say? I didn't see anything, I wasn't even here." Gilda then return to face Natetrix again and smile
"I got to sit down for a moment before we go do our 'hangout' tonight," Gilda said and roll the ball on the ground down the court, she walked over to sit down on the bench of the side of the court.
Rainbow Dash grabs the ball and clears her throat that Natetrix heard to look at Dash.
"So Natetrix, have you ever played b-ball before?" Dash was now dribbling the ball on her right side. Natetrix look at Dash, she was wearing that white shirt with her cutie mark in the middle of the shirt and had those long red shorts and sneakers from her dresser. He knew it was Dash's basketball warm-up clothes when she practices in the gym or doing her workouts in the Cloudales fitness center but Natetrix though thinking why she has to look so good.
"I know the rules of this game but I never actually play- oof!" Natetrix words were cut short cause of Dash throwing the ball to Natetrix chest but he manages to catch the ball in time before inches impact.
"Well book boy lets see if you can handle the awesomeness mare like me." light blue pegasus got into a basketball defense stance and inching closer to Natetrix. The gray pegasus grins and starts to dribble the ball away from Dash's reach, it would be a little unfair since Natetrix was only wearing a long sleeve shirt and cargo pants so he knew that dribbling was going to be a little challenging.
"So you know the basic dribble," Dash said
"That's not all," Natetrix said as his grin got a little wider as Dash tried to use her ability speed to steal the ball but quickly Natetrix crosses the ball over between his legs and moved into the paint but was stop by Dash getting into his side close as her chest was pressing onto Natetrix's shoulder. The gray pegasus then dribbles the basketball from his back to get to his right hand and Dash saw the moment and swipe the ball away from Natetrix's hand and getting back behind the 3pt line. Natetrix quickly onto defense with her getting onto her right side so she can only go to the right side.
"Will only play to five and were making a bet." This was either good or bad to what Natetrix's was thinking of what type of bet this was. Dash whisper and smiled at Natetrix.
"If I win, I dare you to kiss your griffin friend." Natetrix let out a blush before suddenly as he was distracted at the thought, Dash quickly does a spin move and Natetrix tumbled backward to finally catch up with Dash.
Dash was going for a layup but her quickness fails her to a big smack from the ball and Natetrix hand. Dash got swatted hard and the ball bounces out of bounds.
Both pegasuses land on their feet on the ground and Dash was the first to be surprised by this turning her head to the ball bouncing still out of bounds and looking over to Natetrix who was now breathing but smiling still being successful in blocking her shot.
"Holy shit.." Both Dash and Natetrix turn over to the benches to see Gilda with a wide eye and jaw-dropping expression on her face.
Dash lean up and jog over to grab the ball and get back to the 3pt line as Natetrix also got back to the line.
"If I win, you have to wear a clown outfit for a full minute at Pinkies Birthday party." Dash blush and glared.
"And you have to wear your child shorts with it, the smallest pair."
"HAHAHA! DASH!" Gilda was laughing hard on the sideline as she was up out of the benches.
Dash was blushing super red, now her red visible on her fur blue cheeks. Dash dribbling the basketball hard and look directly at Natetrix.
"Oh, it is on!" Dash dribble the basketball, doing some fast crossovers. Natetrix however still lock on the ball, as it was dribbling to fast but Natetrix still can catch an eye on it and found the moment to take the ball from her. Dash react quick and got in front of Natetrix, as again was getting the basketball far away from her reach again. Natetrix dribbled drive to the left into the paint, taking the step back and releasing the ball into the air as Dash tried to get her hand onto the ball, but it was too late for the athletic light blue pegasus as the ball went clean in the hoop with a swish.

Dash had the ball now and quickly fake going to the left and quickly driving right as Natetrix was closely guarding Dash in the paint now. Dash kept driving fast and release the ball with her left hand for a layup. The pegasus Natetrix guarding her, jump a bit too late and the ball bounces off the backboard and lands down in the middle of the hoop.

Natetrix was holding onto the ball and Dash was waiting near the free-throw line waiting for him to drive but Natetrix smirk and shot the ball, as it spins in slow motion as Dash jump and used her wings to flap them to grab the ball. But it was so close to her fingertips she misses it and the ball hits the backboard hard in the middle and goes down the hoop. When Dash got onto her feet again she growled.
"Holy shit Natetrix!" Gilda was cheering for Natetrix and clap her claw hands loudly. Natetrix just blush and got back to playing, he knew this was to easy.

Dash now with the ball dribbled her way easily by moving right and left with her defender but couldn't get this pegasus away from her. The athletic mare quickly did a post-spin move and did a pretty fade away, Natetrix contested but the ball fell right into the hoop with Dash's own pretty swish.

Natetrix now his turn with the ball dribble, he took a look at Dash and he had an amazing plan, time to see how long she could keep those legs standing. The gray pegasus dribbles the ball left to the right side of the court and does some pretty crossovers. Even doing some fake moves pretending to go to the right when he was really going to go left, and Dash was falling for it but Natetrix didn't take the drive. This pegasus wanted to finish this game his way and knew it was working cause Dash was getting tired, every move Natetrix pulled Dash tried to steal but he was too quick to tricky even.
After a few seconds of pretty dribble moves, Dash was breathing heavily and Natetrix knew she couldn't last long.
"Come on, you boy I can...keep up," said Dash breathing heavily and now focusing only on Natetrix now, Perfect. Natetrix was now ready as again fake to the right and drive left as Dash closed in on Natetrix but she wouldn't realize what would come next, Natetrix bounce the ball to his right which it would bounce between Dash's legs swiftly and soon Natetrix grab the ball with his right as Dash fall down on the hard pavement, sliding and land forward in front of the rim. Natetrix dribble backgrounds while Gilda jaw drops once again, and now the gray pegasus takes the shot behind the three-point line. As the ball flew in the air Rainbow was staring up at the ball watching it suddenly hit the back of the rim and quickly turning to Natetrix.
"HA!" Dash let out a laugh but the ball comes back down and straight down into the net.
"YES!" Natetrix jumps high and celebrated and did a backflip in the air as he flaps his wings in the air. Now Dash's eyes were looking at the rim and back to Natetrix. She loses to a pegasus that had not played basketball and now she looked down embarrassed now but very surprised at this. Natetrix slowly stops celebrating as Gilda was still cheering on.
"Holy fucking shit!" Gilda claps her claw hands together again and again.
"That was so good dweeb!"
When Gilda was still cheering Natetrix saw the light blue pegasus on the ground still sitting, now The Gray one walks over and reaches a hand out to Dash for any help to get up. Dash turn and grab hold of Natetrix's hand and look up at him and wide eye at him as well.
"Y-you beat me, that's really impressive, but how did you get that good?"
"Let's just say I'm a quick learner." Natetrix wink at Dash and Dash just chuckled.
"Hey Baller Natetrix and stumble Dash show over? let's go," said Gilda as she had her bag between her griffin wings. Dash and Natetrix look at each other and chuckled, before walking off the court and Dash getting her stuff around.
"You know you don't have to take my bet," said Natetrix grabbing his messager bag of the bench.
"I know and I wasn't going to anyway but good game." Dash look up to Natetrix after getting her things around.
"You better teach me those moves." Natetrix grin and walk up next to Gilda as Dash catch up on the other side of Natetrix.
"You what maybe I will."
