Sunset and all her friends are having a sleepover when she receives an important message and all her friends are summoned to Equestria. A new change is in store for her, can she handle it?
Sunset has achieved many things since she was reformed. But now it's time for a new change. After a unknown creature is trying to kill the tree of harmony, Sunset and all her friends are summoned to Equestria to stop it. But when they do, the tree presents her with a new gift. Can Sunset handle the responsibility being thrown on her?
This story will be told in the third person and not the first
(edit) Also I forgot to mention, this story takes place in season 9 and the tree of harmony never gets destroyed, and that's why the tree is still alive
"Ok, so we've all learnt from experience that truth or dare is a bad idea, right?" Sunset asked, taking a sip from her hot cocoa.
"Yep" Pinkie pie said taking a bit from her cookie
"Agreed." Frosty chimed in.
The room was silent for a while before Twilight asked:
"Well, if were not playing truth or dare, what other game should we play?"
Everyone looked around the room, waiting for someone to answer. Then finally Fluttershy spook up.
"I think there's a game of Pictionary inside one of Pinkie's cupboards, we could play that, if you all don't mind."
"That's a great idea Flutters! I'll go get it." Pinkie said as she stood up to get the game. Pinkie came back 5 minutes later with a box that said 'Pictionary' on the top of the box. "I'll help set it up" Frosty said, as she got up to get help Pinkie set up the game
When Frosty and Pinkie were done setting the game up, Pinkie and Frosty decided to be captains. Sunset, Rarity, Twilight, Sunshine, and Fluttershy were in Frosty's team and Stormy, Galaxy, Applejack, Rainbow dash and Sunny were on Pinkie's team.
Frosty went up first, she pulled a paper out of a tiny basket and read what it said inside her head. Then she took a pencil and began to draw on the canvas.
"Is it a bird?" Twilight guessed staring at the picture in confusion.
"Is it a duck?" Rarity asked.
"Aren't birds and ducks the same thing?" Sunshine asked
Frosty just rolled her eyes and continued drawing.
"Oh, oh it's a plane!" Sunset said jumping up and down.
"Yes! oh and great timing too." Frosty said with relief, glancing at the clock.
Sunset and Frosty high fived and sat back down on the couch and waited for the next team. Twilight mumbled something under her breath but luckily no one heard it. Next it was Pinkie's group's turn, and Rainbow dash went first. She pulled a paper out of the tiny basket, read it and began to sketch. Pinkie began guessing randomly "A dog! A cat! A horse! A beaver! A tree!"
"Pinkie I've barely began sketching" Rainbow said
"Sorry." Pinkie said sheepishly, but still continued to think of possibilities. As Rainbow continued sketching, Sunset suddenly heard something buzzing in her bag. She walked over to her bag and grabbed a brown book with a red and yellow sun on the front.
"Guys, I'm getting a message from Princess Twilight"
Rainbow stopped sketching and looked at Sunset with a concerned frown.
"What's it say?" Twilight asked nervously
"Dear Sunset Shimmer, There is a new danger that has stolen all the magic in Equestria! it's worse that Cozy Glow or Tirek, It has no name but it's more like a parasite, we don't know what to do! please help as soon as you can.
Princess Twilight Sparkle"
"Oh no, that's terrible!"Fluttershy said in panic
"I'm afraid we have to leave, Equestria needs us!" Twilight said putting her mug of hot cocoa down and standing up, getting ready to leave.
"Aww, do you have to leave so soon, why can't we come?" Sunshine wailed
"Because it's dangerous, plus whatever threat this is stealing magic, I don't want it to hurt my friends" Rainbow replied as she stood up to pack her things.
"I'm sorry darling but Rainbow is right, it's to risky." Rarity agreed.
"But, but, we could help!" Frosty suggested.
"Yeah! Twilight said she isn't hundred percent sure we couldn't gain powers, remember!" Sunny said brightly.
"I think their right" Pinkie pie said. "They could help, remember camp Everfree? We didn't know Twilight had powers until she told us."
"Pinkie's right guys, we should let them come"Fluttershy said encouragingly. The girls whispered to each other for a while then spoke
"Fine" Rainbow sighed
"They can come." Sunset said.
"YAY!" They all cheered.
Once everyone got dressed, Sunset lead them out of Pinkie's house and to CHS, where the portal was. "Ooh, I'm so excited! I've never been to Equestria before." Sunshine said excitedly
"Neither have I, I wonder what it's like?" Sunny replied
"Quiet down guys, were not supposed to be here." Twilight whisper-shouted
Sunset looked at everyone nervously, "You guys ready?"
"I was born ready" Rainbow dash said confidently. Frosty, Stormy, Sunny, Sunshine and Galaxy put their hand in a pile and chanted,"BE AGGRESSIVE, BE BE AGGRESSIVE!"
Rainbow and Sunset looked at them in shock. "What? Saw it once in a movie and everybody lived" Frosty said in defense. Everyone then joined in,
"BE AGGRESSIVE! BE, BE AGGRESSIVE"
"Ok, this is it, 1,2,3" Sunset said and then stepped in bravely.
Pinkie Pie wasn't nervous or scared, she just jumped in screaming "Weeeee!" Fluttershy was next, she looked at everyone then nervously stepped. Rainbow Dash and Twilight went next, then Applejack then Rarity.
Finally it was Frosty, Sunny, Sunshine and the others turn.
"You guys ready?" Galaxy asked
"Of course." Stormy replied.
"On three, one, two, THREE!" they said and bravely jumped in.
"Ow, my head hurts" Frosty groaned rubbing her head with her hoof
"Where are we?" Galaxy asked, as she got up and looked around, "Everything looks different"
"Welcome to Equestria!" Sunset and Twilight cheered
"I may take some getting used to darlings, try not to scream" Rarity said, handing them a mirror
"OH MY GOSH!" Frosty squealed staring at her new self in the mirror "I'm a horse! I'm a horse! I'm an actual horse!"
"What?! Let me see," Sunny and Sunshine said in unison. "AHHHHH!" They scream
"Shh! It's the middle of the night here! Everyone's asleep!" Twilight whisper-shouted
"Not everyone" Said a voice behind them
"Huh? Who said that? Show yourself!" Sunset demanded
"Relax Sunset, it's just me..." The voice said, emerging from the shadow it was hiding in "Spike!"
"Oh, Spike, you scared us to death!" Rarity said, rushing to hug him
"I wasn't scared" Rainbow dash said bravely
"Oh really, then why were you hiding behind me shaking?" Frosty asked smugly
"I wasn't shaking, I was...preserving body heat, it's still winter you know." Rainbow replied
"Sure you were," Sunny giggled
"Come on guys, let's find you rooms to stay in until morning, you'll need rest if your going to see the princesses tomorrow" Spike said leaving the throne room.
"Princesses? Like those prissy pink ones with the super long dresses? No thank you" Stormy said rolling her eyes.
"Not those type of princesses silly" Pinkie replied
"These princesses are leaders, brave and very powerful, their also alicorns" Twilight and Sunset said
"What are 'Alicorns'?" Galaxy asked
"Alicorn are a mix of pegasi, unicorn, and earth pony" Spike answered
"Oh, are they like the most powerful or?" Frosty asked
"Yeah, basically" Twilight replied
Everyone went silent after that, Spike lead everyone to their rooms for the night and said goodnight. Everyone was grouped in two's Twilight was with Sunset, Rainbow was with Applejack, Pinkie was with Rarity, Fluttershy was with Galaxy, Frosty was with Stormy, and Sunshine was with Sunny.
"I wonder what Equestria's like" Frosty pondered
"Probably filled with magic and mayhem" Stormy replied
"I wonder if we'll learn how to use these wings someday?" Frosty asked
"Yeah me too, I've always wanted to fly" Stormy said fluttering her wings softly against the sheets
"Do you think it's possible we have magic? Like those elements of harmony" Frosty asked again. There was no reply
"Stormy?" Frosty whispered. Still no reply
Frost sighed and turned off the lights "Goodnight Stormy, see you tomorrow."
The girls woke up to the delightful sound of birds chipping outside their windows.
"Rise and shine everypony!" Spike said cheerfully when he came to wake everyone up.
"Mmm, just five more minutes mom." Frosty groaned from underneath her sheets. Everyone apart from Frosty was awake, and Pinkie came to help Spike wake Frosty.
Pinkie giggled and said "Frosty don't be so silly, were not your mom, wake up!" She said, shaking her uncontrollably
"Ok, Ok I'm up, stop shaking me" Frosty said stumbling and groaning out of bed.
"Good, cause Twilight's making her famous haycakes for breakfast." Spike said as he walked out
"Haycakes? This is gonna be weird" Frosty muttered, walking out of her room to join the others for breakfast.
Frosty trotted down stairs to the dinning room, getting occasionally lost but she found it. The others were all seated in golden chairs with purple plush cushions, the table was made almost entirely out of crystals, but the table legs were gold.
"Morning guys." Frosty said taking a seat
"Morning Frost" Everyone replied
Frosty stopped to look at everyone for a second, they all seemed to be double, except for Sunset, Sunshine, Sunny Galaxy and Stormy. Frosty rubbed her eyes and looked again, they were still double.
"Am I crazy or am I seeing doubles
"Oh yeah, we forgot to tell you, we each have equestrian counterparts." Sunset explained casually
"So how will we know who's who?" Frosty asked
"Maybe they should dress differently like, hair-wise" Galaxy suggested
"That's a good-" Frosty was cut of when Princess Twilight asked:
"Who are you guys?"
"Oh, Twilight, we forgot to introduce you, this is Sunny, Sunshine, Galaxy, Stormy and Frosty" Sunset explained
"Hi" They said in unison
"Their are friends from CHS, their here to help." Twilight said
"Oh, nice to meet you guys, I'm Twilight and this here is my student Starlight"
"Hey" Starlight said shyly
"Anyway, enough chit-chat, haycakes are ready!" Princess Twilight announced
Frosty and Stormy traded nervous glances, while the others just ate the food.
"Any chance you have something that doesn't contain.." Stormy started
"...Hay?" Frosty finished
"Don't worry, It's delicious, trust me" Starlight reassured
Frosty looked at the food again, still not convinced, but she tried it anyway.
"Mm, this isn't so bad" Frosty said taking another bite
"Yeah." Stormy said.
"Told ya" Starlight said smugly
When they finished breakfast, they went to the train station to head to Canterlot castle
"Now were going to meet the Princesses," Princess Twilight said "We need to discuss what were going to do about the monster stealing magic"
Everyone nodded in agreement and boarded the train.
When they arrived in Canterlot, Rarity looked around in admiration
"Wow, the palace is breathtaking." Rarity said dreamly
"Come on Rarity, we don't have all day." Both Rainbow dashes said
The 20 girls, plus Spike walked to the castle, and were escorted in by guards, at first, they thought the girls from CHS were changelings, But the Princess Twilight explained and proved that they weren't. When the guards opened the castle gates, Sunny, Sunshine and Galaxy were blown away by the pure awesomeness of the throne room, but Frosty and Stormy tried to act like they weren't impressed, but they secretly were.
The throne room was decorated in baby blues and bright yellows with lots of tapestry's hangs on the walls. There were two thrones side-by-side, on with a bright golden sun and the other a silver moon. On the thrones were the princesses, they had long flowing manes and tails, Princess Twilight explained that they were sisters, but they didn't look anything alike. One sister (Princess Celestia) had a cream white coat and a multicoloured flowing mane, and the other sister (Princess Luna) had a dark blue coat and a blue and light blue flowing mane.
The first thing Frosty and Stormy said when they saw them was; "Principle Celestia and Vice Principle Luna are princesses?!?!"
"Yeah, that's what I said when I first saw 'em," Applejack (From CHS) said, "It'll take some getting used to."
Frosty put her hoof to her head and sighed "So your telling me that our principles are princesses in this world."
"Greeting my little ponies, Sunset I see you brought your friends with you this time." Princess Celestia said
"My little ponies? That sounds like a TV show my little sister Winter would watch" Frosty whispered to Stormy, But she soon stopped when Sunset glared at her.
"Anyway, do you mind introducing us to your friends, Sunset Shimmer?" Princess Luna asked
"Sure, This is Sunny Skies, Sunshine Star, Galaxy Swirl, Stormy Blue and Frosty Rainbow" Sunset said
"Why'd you tell her our last names?" Galaxy whispered to Sunset
"Because Princess Luna is very formal when it comes to names, so she'll be calling you by you last name." Sunset explained, whispering back.
"Wow, I've never heard Vice Prin- I mean Princess Luna say much other than 'No student parking in the faculty lot!' " Sunny said mockingly.
While the others were talking and joking about, Princess Celestia and Luna called Sunset and Princess Twilight up to talk privately.
"Sunset, are you sure it was wise to bring you friends here?" Princess Celestia asked
"They don't seem to focused and are only mocking around." Princess Luna stated
"Princesses, trust me these girls may seem to be joking around, but they can be very helpful when faced with a crisis." Sunset said proudly.
"Let us hope your right Sunset Shimmer." Princess Luna said.
"We shall move to the planning room for further discussion" Princess Celestia said. She and her sister lead everyone to the planning room, a big room (almost as big as the throne room) across the hall.
The room had almost the same design as the throne room, but it had crystal book cases all around.
"Um, Your Highness-es, do you mind telling us more about the...creature that's stealing magic?" Rarity asked nervously
"Everypony take a seat" Princess Celestia ordered, "You see, this creature isn't just stealing magic, but it's stealing cities too."
"Tis true, just the other day we lost Manehattan and Fillydelphia." Princess Luna explained sadly, "Ponies have been so frightened, they never come out of their houses nowadays."
"That explains why it was a total ghost town when we left the castle." Sunshine realized
"Or why nopony was on the train when we got on it." Twilight exclaimed
"So we just have to figure out how it got here, I think it's a parasite, like a virus or something, I learned in Science class that a virus always need something to live in and then it reproduces, as in multiples." Frosty said.
"Told you their smart." Sunset whispered to Celestia and Luna.
"Let's think what the one thing that gives magic to the entire land...?" Frosty asked, scratching her head with her hoof in thought.
"The elements of harmony!" The main six shouted.
"The elements of harmony must be where the virus is, we just have to get them and somehow catch the virus." Princess Twilight and Frosty said in unison.
"Smart thinking." Princess Twilight said, nudging her softly
"Your not to bad yourself, Princess." Frosty said, nudging her back
"So we just have to catch the virus? that sounds utterly boring, how about more chaos!" A mysterious voice said.
"Discord we know it's you, you can come out now" Fluttershy (from Equestria) said
"Who's Discord?" Galaxy asked
"My, my I see Sunset Glimmer, I mean Shimmer has some new friends." Discord said, he stepped out of his hiding place and Frosty and Galaxy looked like they had just seen a ghost. Discord looked terrifying. He had the head of a donkey, the horns of a deer and dragon, a body like a snake with one lion paw and one eagle claw, the leg of a lizard, the other of a horse, and a long dragon like tail.
Frosty just stared, not knowing either to run away screaming or attack it, instead she just stared.
"Rainbow dash has a twin since when?" Discord asked sarcastically.
"Were not twins!" Frosty and both Rainbow dashes yelled in unison.
"Ok! Ok! sheesh, someone has anger issues." Discord said
"OK, is everyone just going to ignore the fact that there is a giant what the heck he is just in here casually talking to us!?" Applejack (from CHS) asked pointing at Discord in disgusting.
"My, Applejack that is very rude of you, draconaquues have feelings too you know." Discord said, dabbing a fake tear, "At least my good friends Celestia and Luna appreciate me being here, right guys." He said wrapping his arms around them and pulling them into a hug.
"First of all Discord why are you here?" Princess Luna asked, pulling out of his hug
"Why to help my friends of course, speaking of which, Sunset Sparkle here hasn't introduced me to her new friends." Discord said, extending his arms to pull Frosty, Sunny and Sunshine into a hug, before he could pull Frosty she looked him in the eye coldly and said,
"Hug me I bite you"
"Ok, fiesty little pony over here." Discord said, releasing them all from his hug.
"First of all Discord, my name is Sunset Shimmer, and these are my friends from CHS, Frosty, Sunny, Sunshine, Stormy and Galaxy." Sunset explained.
"Nice to meet you." Discord said, making a three more arms appear and shook their hands.
"Um, ok nice to meet you too." Frosty said lightly shaking his hand
"So enough chit-chat, what's the plan to take down this parasite?" Discord asked eagerly.
"Why do you want to know?" Rarity (from Equestria) asked
"Because I want to help." Discord said
"I think we should let him help, he is reformed after all." Princess Celestia said
"I know but remember what happened with Tirek." Princess Twilight said reminding her
After some discussing, Princess Twilight finally let Discord help.
"Yay! I know under all that grumpiness, your a real sweetheart Princess." Discord said pulling Twilight into a big hug.
"Since I know you were eavesdropping, you probably heard what we were discussing right Discord?" Applejack (from Equestria) said.
"Oh Aj, don't ask questions you already know the answer too." Discord said with a smirk.
"Well, since we don't need to explain anything, let's go save Equestria!" Starlight said.
"Right, but we have to make a plan first this parasite could be anything, and we need to be prepared" Twilight said.
"Yep, still a nerd." Rainbow dash (from Equestria) said.
"Hey! it's called thinking ahead." Twilight said offensively.
"Enough you two, just make the darn plan already!" Frosty said, obviously annoyed.
"Fine." They said.
The girls spent hours making the plan before they set out, when they finish they packed their things and left, 'ittle did they know what they were up against.
The ponies cautiously walked through the dark forest, everypony was tired, they had been walking for hours taking occasional breaks to drink water or rest. Everypony was grumpy.
Sometimes Discord would try to lighten the mood by cracking a few jokes, but everyone was to tired to care, except for Frosty.
"Hey, um Discord was it?" Frosty asked in a polite manner
"Yeah." Discord replied miserably
"Well, just wanna apologize for everyone, guess their just moody because of the lack of sleep, maybe one good rest and they'll be good in the morning." Frosty said nudging him in the arm softly
"Yeah, guess were all tired, Thanks Rainbow." Discord said playfully, "Chocolate milk?" He asked snapping his fingers making two glasses of chocolaty goodness appear
"Hm, don't mind if I do." Frosty said, taking the glass with her hooves and taking a sip, "Delicious."
Princess Celestia and Luna got up to rise the sun and lower the moon, When everypony else woke up and didn't say a word to each other. They seemed less grumpy, but still no pony talked to each other.
"Morning everypony." Frosty said, trying to lighten the mood
"Morning" They responded
"I know everypony is tired, but try cheer up, I checked the map and were not to far from the tree." Frosty said cheerfully
"Miss Rainbow is right, being miserable won't get us anywhere." Princess Luna admitted
"True, and we'll have to work together to try and stop whatever this 'virus' is." Starlight said
"You know what will cheer us all up?" Pinkie pie (from Equestria) said
"Cupcakes!" Both Pinkie's exclaimed
"Good idea!" They both said
"That's sounds like a good idea, were gonna need as much energy as possible, we have a long walk ahead." Princess Celestia said
About 40 minutes later, both Pinkie's came out of a tent Discord magically made appear with a delicious smelling chocolate cake.
"How did you make that without an oven?" Stormy asked
"Discord made it appear." Pinkie pie (from Eg) said
"I don't care how you made it, the cake looks so good!" Frosty said, her mouth watering slightly.
"Let's cut this baby up." Sunny said making a knife appear with her magic, "I'm getting good at this magic stuff aren't I."
"Hmm, that was so good." Stormy said, finishing up her cake.
"Good? It was amazing!" Both Rainbow dashes exclaimed.
"Okay, come on guys, we gotta keep going if we wanna find the tree." Starlight said .
Everypony got up and started to pack while talking in small groups.
"Hey Rainbow." Frosty said to Rainbow dash (from Equestria) catching her attention.
"Yeah, Frosty was it?" Rainbow replied putting her saddle bag back on her back.
"Later today, could you teach me to fly? You seem like a pretty good flyer, and I wanna learn to do it before we have to leave." Frosty replied, taking her own saddle bag and placing on her back.
"Good? I'm an amazing flyer and I'm a Wonderbolt! but sure! anything for a friend." Rainbow said winking at her.
"You consider me a friend, even though you don't know me at all?" Frosty asked.
"Of course! any friend of Sunset is a friend of mine." Rainbow dash said nudging her arm softly, causing Frosty to laugh a bit as they continued packing.
"Wait, also what's a Wonderbolt?" Frosty asked.
"I'll explain later." Rainbow said picking up her sleeping bag with her mouth and strapping it to the saddle bag.
Meanwhile, Sunny and Sunshine were trying to master picking things up with there magic, they were getting pretty good at it.
"Hey Sunny, what else do you think we can do with magic?" Sunshine asked strapping her sleeping bag to her saddle bag.
"I heard Twilight and Sunset talk a out teleportation on the way here." Sunny replied.
"Do you think we should try it?" Sunshine asked eagerly.
"Sure. I mean, how hard could it be?"
Sunshine nodded and closed her eyes, her first thought was where she wanted to go, she started thinking of Galaxy. And in a bright yellow flash she was at Galaxy's side. She was picking up her stuff and putting them in her bag, when she heard the 'pop' noise of Sunshine teleporting, she let out a quick yelp and backed away.
"Ahh! Oh it's just you Sunshine." Galaxy said in relief, putting a hoof to her chest to calm her breathing, "Don't ever sneak up on me like that again! How did you do that anyways?"
"Teleportation, it's pretty easy. And sorry for scaring you, guess I need to work on not scaring people." Sunshine said with a sheepish grin.
"Hey Sunshine you did it! You teleported!" Sunny yelled from across the campsite, catching her attention.
"Wow, you teleported on you first try, took me weeks just to get it right." Princess Twilight said approaching them.
"Guess I'm a fast learner." Sunshine said.
"Come on guys, we gotta go." Sunset said to everypony.
"Wait Sunset Shimmer, walking is going to take another hour, and we don't have much time on our hooves, remember? I think if me and my sister combine our powers, I think we can safely teleport us to the tree of harmony." Princess Luna said
"Yes Luna, I think that's a good idea." Princess Celestia said to Princess Luna, "Brace yourselves everypony!" She bent down to Luna for their horns to touch as a yellow and blue bubble surrounded them all, and in a flash they were gone.

The ponies arrived in a flash at the tree of harmony.
"Someone get me a bucket, I think I'm gonna p-" Frosty cut of finding the nearest bush to puke.
"Sorry, gets some getting used to." Princess Twilight said passing her a bottle of water from her saddle bag.
"Heard of car sickness? Well I have teleportation sickness." Frosty groan gurgling the water and spitting into the bush, then taking a proper drink.
"What is this 'car' you speak of?" Princess Luna asked.
"Wait, you don't know what a car is?" Stormy asked back, Sunset and Twilight gave her a 'now is not the time so shut up is you know what's good for you' look, "I mean, your highness." Stormy quickly corrected bowing slightly
"That shalt not be necessary subject." Princess Luna said signaling for her to rise.
"Anywho, I present to you the tree of harmony!" Pinkie Pie (From Equestria) said grandly
Everyone gazed in awe at the tree before them, (except the main 6 and the royal pony sisters) the tree was massive with five gems inside it's branches and a purple six shaped star jewel in the middle.
"So I'm guessing the gems are the elements of harmony?" Galaxy guessed pointing to the gems on the tree
"Yeperonnie!" Pinkie Pie said, " Each of the gems is a representation of us! The red one's Dashies for loyalty, the orange one is Aj's for honesty, The purple one's Rarity's for generosity, the blue one is mine for laughter, and the yellow one is Fluttershy's for kindness!. But most importantly, The other purple one in the middle is Twilight's for magic!"
"The elements are what keeps Equestria safe." Princess Luna explained
"And their also what balances magic." Princess Celestia said.
"Before they were controlled by the six that you see today, my sister and I used the wield them." Princess Luna explained
"Their we're used to defeat villians like Sombra, Discord, Chrysalis and...Nightmare moon."
Celestia put a hoof around Luna and pulled into a hug while everypony else (except for Frosty, Sunny, Sunshine and Galaxy) hung their heads in silence. Frosty stared at everyone in confusion, but just kept quite.
"Okay, let's get cracking on this magic mystery case!" Starlight said, trying to lighten the mood. The main six walked towards the tree looking up at the shining gems hanging on the branches.
"Well, guess it's time we take them back again." Princess Twilight said nervously glancing at the others
"You can do it whenever you are ready Twilight." Princess Celestia said in a calming voice. Princess Twilight took a deep breath before using her magic to remove all the elements and levitating them to her friends. Once each element reached their proper owners it magically transformed into a necklace and for Twilight a gold crown with her element on top.
"My, it's been so long since we've worn them." Rarity said looking and admiring her necklace.
"How did they go from gems to-um nevermind, it's a magic!" Stormy said face hoofing.
"Anyway." Frosty said glaring at Stormy, "We should run some tests or something to see what's up with the elements."
"Good idea, but my sister and I need to lower and raise the moon." Princess Celestia said.
"Wait, what?! First of all that goes against all science and logic. You can't lower the Sun, the Earth rotates around it! It doesn't make any se-" Frosty interrupted Twilight by placing her hoof around her mouth to silence her.
"I apologize your Highness, what my friend meant to say was; go ahead. Isn't that right Twilight?!" Frosty said glaring daggers at Twilight. She nodded in response and said a few muffled words.
"Oops, sorry." Frosty said removing her hoof from Twilight's mouth.
"Let's go lower the sun." Princess Celestia said
"And raise the moon." Princess Luna finished as her and Princess Celestia flew up into the sky the lower the two great celestial bodies.
"I don't care what logic it goes against, that sunset is BEAUTIFUL!" Sunny said dramatically, wiping a fake tear from her eye causing Sunset to roll her eyes and shake her head.
"You know Twi, you actually make a good point, the Earth DOES rotate around the Sun, but this is a kid show and there's no room for logic." Pinkie pie (From Equestria) said. Everyone stared at Pinkie (except for the other Pinkie) completely stunned by what she said, but passed it off as Pinkie being Pinkie. When the Princesses were done lowering and raising the sun and moon, they joined the other's who were inspecting the elements.
"Chocolate milk anypony? Discord said holding a tray of floating glasses of chocolate milk with tiny cotton candy clouds on top.
"Your the lord of chaos, and chocolate milk is the best you can do? Ha! I've seen more chaotic drinks produced by my little brother!" Galaxy teased.
"Galaxy darling, I wouldn't do that if-" Rarity (From Equestria) tried to warn but was cut off.
"Is that a challenge?" Discord said, snapping his fingers causing the tray of drinks to appear in front of Fluttershy, "Hold these for me dear Fluttershy."
"Is the lord of chaos too scared to challenge me?" Galaxy said with a smirk.
"Oh Sweet Celestia." Applejack muttered.
------------------- One chaotic mess later ------------------
The cave floor was filled with all sorts of strange drinks, from bubbling cotton candy milkshakes with lemonade or a gemstone smoothie that Spike was now snacking on.
"Remind me to never cross with you." Galaxy said trying to remove the weird but delightfully smelling gunk that was in her purple and blue mane.
"You asked for a challenge I gave you a challenge." Discord said, snapping the mess away. Meanwhile the others were trying to work around their battle and gave a sigh of relief when it was snapped away.
"Okay, so while you two were goofing around, we found out something." Frosty said sipping her chocolate milk that the others had been drinking while Galaxy and Discord with at 'war'.
"Yes, we noticed that the elements are becoming dimmer and dimmer! Princess Twilight cried.
"Okay meaning?" Galaxy said taking a glass of chocolate milk for herself.
"Don't you see? There dimming because there losing magic!" Sunset explained.
"Oh no! and if they lose magic-" Galaxy said finally catching on.
"Equestria shall lose it's." Princess Celestia said grimly.
"Wait, I think I know how we can save Equestria, but you may not like it." Frosty said.
"We'll do anything to help!" Rainbow dash (From Eg) said confidently.
"You know how your geodes are like the elements of harmony? Well maybe the can work like them." Frosty said suggestively.
"Frosty you're not saying we..?" Twilight asked
"Give up your geodes? Yes that's what I'm saying." Frosty said placing a hoof on Twilight's shoulder.
"But, then we might lose our powers!" Applejack exclaimed.
"How will we protect our world then?" Rarity said looking down at the ground in despair
"Well, our powers don't technically come from our geodes, remember we all started getting powers before we got the geodes, so we may not lose them." Sunset said hopefully.
"I guess your right." Twilight said looking up at Sunset.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's save Equestria!" Pinkie pie (From Eg) cheered
"Oh wait, we left our geodes in our bags at Twilight's castle." Rainbow dash grumbled.
"You're forgetting somepony just learned teleportation." Sunshine said suggestively.
"We don't all need to go though, I don't think I can teleport all of us." Sunshine said.
"Your right, I'll go with you Sunshine, we'll be back!" Sunset waved. Sunshine moved closer to Sunset, closing her eyes and igniting her horn, they were gone in a flash.
---------------------------- At Twilight's Castle ----------------------------
Sunset and Sunshine arrived at the Castle in a yellow flash. Sunshine had teleported them to the throne room.
"You did it! You teleported us here safely!" Sunset said putting her hoof against the floor several times to make sure she was standing safely.
"I can't believe it!" Sunshine exclaimed, "Anyway, let's find those geodes."
"First let's find our room." Sunset gulped nervously looking out the door into the hallway of identical doors.
Sunset and Sunshine wandered into multiple rooms, finding the kitchen, the guest bathroom, Starlight's room, Spikes room and even Twilight's laundry room.
"Why do they need washing machines if they don't wear clothes?" Sunshine wondered.
Finally, after lot's of wandering, they found their room. "Oh thank Celestia we found it! let's get the geodes and teleport back!" Sunset said. She rummaged through Applejack's, Fluttershy's, Twilight and her own bag, removing their geodes. While Sunshine dug through Rainbow's, Pinkie's and Rarity's bag removing their geodes.
"Got em', let's teleport back." Sunshine said wrapping a hoof around Sunset and teleporting them back to the cave.
--------------------- Back at the cave -------------------
Pinkie drew a circle in a box and got up and yelled; "I win" in Princess Luna's face, not caring about her manners.
"Indeed you do Pinkie pie." Princess Luna said
A loud pop noise startled everypony as the looked to the center of the cave to see Sunset and Sunshine standing there with seven necklaces in Sunset's magical grasp.
The seven girls took off their necklaces and glanced at each other.
"What ever happens, we will always be friends, powers or none." Twilight said encouragingly
Sunset took the necklaces in her magic aura and held them to their correct positions.
"Honesty." Sunset said placing the necklace (which had transformed into an amber gem) in the empty place causing that branch to glow.
"Laughter." Sunset said again placing a newly transformed blue gem into empty place also causing the branch to glow.
"Loyalty." Sunset said placing the red gem into it's place
"Generosity." Rarity wiped a small tear from her eye as she hugged a crying Fluttershy.
"Kindness." Sunset said glancing at Fluttershy weeping into Rarity shoulder. She bravely put the yellow gem in it's place.
"And finally magic." Sunset placed the final gem in the center. There was a bright flash of magic that flew outside the cave and exploded in the sky.
"Wait, should it have stopped now? I still see the storm clouds, also there's no place for Sunset's necklace." Starlight realized turning to Princess Twilight. Suddenly, a low rumbling noise could be heard from the tree.
"Uh, what's happening?" Stormy asked turning to Sunset. A bright white light blinded all of them, when it cleared, Sunset noticed something strange with the tree.
"Guys, I think the tree grew a branch." Rainbow dash said, as her eyes adjusted to the dimly lit surroundings of the cave.
"I think it's for Sunset's element." Princess Celestia said walking over to the tree, "I think Sunset is the seventh element"
"A new element? This should be impossible!" Princess Twilight exclaimed.
"Actually Twilight, The great Starswirl the bearded was studying the seventh element of harmony before he went to limbo." Princess Celestia said.
"He didn't get to finish he's studies, so it's never been proven, until now." Princess Luna added.
"But, but how come you didn't tell me about this?" Twilight asked sadly, "Is it because you didn't trust me?"
"Awkward.." Discord said tapping is paws/claws on the cave wall, while eating a bowl of shredded paper.
"Of course we trust you Twilight we're sorry we didn't tell you sooner." Princess Celestia said walking over to Twilight and wrapping a wing around her.
"It's fine Princess." Princess Twilight said, nuzzling her former mentor.
"Sunset, do you know what this means?" Rainbow dash (From Equestria) said.
"No, not really." Sunset replied.
"You're an element of harmony!" Pinkie pie (From Equestria) squealed squeezing Sunset into a hug.
"You should put the necklace in now Sunset Shimmer." Princess Luna said smiling warmly.
"You can do it!" Stormy and Frosty cheered!
"Okay." Sunset took a deep breath and looked to the new spot on the tree, here goes nothing she thought. She lifted to necklace to the it's new spot, she watched it shine as it slowly turned into a orange gem, she took one last breath and pushed it in. A bright yellow light filled the cave. When it cleared Sunset was surrounded in a red and yellow bubble.
"S-sunset? Is that you Twilight asked putting her hoof to the bubble causing it to exploded in red shimmering sparks.
"Woah." Is all the ponies could say staring at her new form
Sunset stared at her new alicorn wings flapping them to check they were there.
"How in the world did that happen?!" Twilight asked pointing a hoof at Sunset's new wings.
"Yeah, I though wings had to be earned, like Twilights!" Rainbow dash said pointing at the Princess of Friendship in annoyance.
"There are many ways to become an alicorn, and I think this is one of them. Along with the spell I used on Twilight, some can also just be born with them, like Flurry Heart or myself and Luna.." Celestia trailed off
"Wait you were born alicorns?!" Princess Twilight cried, "But you said, and I quote 'the birth of an alicorn is something Equestria has never seen before.'"
"We know what we said Twilight Sparkle, but we-"Princess Luna was cut of.
"Uh guys, you might wanna see this." Stormy said, she was flying outside the cave looking out at something.
"We're kinda busy Stormy, what is it?" Rainbow dash (From CHS) said
"It's the forest, or at least what was there, just come look." Stormy said with raising panic in her voice. All the ponies with wings flew out (except Frosty, who clumsily was trying to get off the ground) to see what Stormy was looking at.
"What is it?" Frosty asked, finally making it too the others.
"The forest, it's...gone!" Princess Twilight cried.
"What do you mean gone?" Sunset asked from the ground, she was still trying to get used to her new wings.
"I'm afraid we are running out of time. I think..I think think this new virus has gotten to Ponyvile."
"What?!" The main six cried in unison.
"Our families, friends, everypony, there gone?" Applejack cried from the ground
"Not the cake twins! They were so young.." Pinkie said bursting into tears as Fluttershy comforted her.
"Guys wait! I think I know how to fix this." Frosty said boldly, trying to stay in the air.
"What is it Frosty Rainbow, right know we could use all the help we can get." Princess Luna said turning to her.
"I think that Sunset's element is what we need!" Frosty pointed to Sunset while the others gasped in shock, "Think about it, Princess Twilight said that the elements of harmony keep Equestria's magic balanced, but I came to a conclusion that maybe, just maybe the elements might be..dying."
"Dying!? How in tarnation could they be dyin'?" Applejack asked the Rainbow maned pegasus.
"I think Frosty is right, we did see the elements fading, didn't we." Twilight asked everyone
"True." They nodded in agreement.
"So, since there dying, the magic in Equestria is going haywire and needs a new source of power. Which is where your geodes come in!" Frosty pointed to the human main seven.
"So your saying that the elements are dying, causing Equestria's magic to become unstable and now they need our geodes. But that doesn't explain my wings." Sunset said pointing to her wings.
"Who cares why their there, those wings are awesome!" Rainbow dash cheered.
"Actually Sunset, I think the tree gave you wings because it thought you were ready. Like how Princess Celestia gave me wings because she thought I was ready." Princess Twilight said walking over to Sunset and draping a wing around her in a hug.
"I..I guess. But why would the tree think I'm ready? After all I did.." Sunset trailed off, lowering her head in shame.
"It doesn't matter what you did in the past, all that counts is that you've become a better person today." Sunny said waking over to her as well.
"Yeah, and you've truly improved from being all meanie pants to becoming a the funnest person we know!" Pinkie (from CHS) said
"And the kindest, like how you helped me raise money for the animal charity." Fluttershy (from CHS) said.
"And I will admit, you are pretty cool, but not cooler than me of course." Rainbow dash (from CHS) bragged, earning a nudge in ribs from Applejack.
"You have become an excellent leader Sunset, and an inspiration to us all." Princess Celestia said to her former student.
"And trust me I know from experience that change can't always be easy, but you've have changed and we all know it!" Starlight said.
"Trust me Sunset, you really deserve those wings, but I'm warning ya, they'll take some getting used too." Frosty said flapping her wings to show.
"Yeah I'm guessing it will take some work, but we're in this together, all of us." Sunset used her magic to pull all her friends into a hug.
"Now Sunset, if you need any flying lessons you know who to ask." Both Rainbow Dashes
"Sorry to interrupt your little ceremony, but we have an important matter at hoof! The Everfree forest is slowly disappearing while we are in it!" Discord cried pointing outside the cave.
"Oh right, that.." Galaxy said
"Guys, on the way here while Equestrian Pinkie was rambling, she mentioned something about the Rainbow power you guys have." Sunny said.
"Oh right the Rainbow power, it's something we unlocked from the tree's chest that gave me the castle." Princess Twilight explained. Frosty put a hoof to her chin and thought for a moment.
"Guys, I think I know how we can save Equestria." Frosty finally said with a look of determination across her face.
"How?" Everyone asked.
"What if we combined your Rainbow power your geodes to try to heal the tree!" Frosty said pointing at the tree
"But it's the elements that are dying, not the tree." Rainbow dash (from Equestria) sighed miserably.
"But what do you think got them sick in the first place?" Sunshine said.
"Well, I guess it's worth a shot." Sunset said placing a hoof under her chin in thought.
"Hey, I have a question." Pinkie pie (From CHS) said turning to the two sisters.
"What is it Pinkie pie?" Princess Celestia asked
"What is Sunset the Princess of?" Pinkie asked tilting her head like a confused dog, "I mean you and your sister rule the sun and moon, Twilight is the princess of friendship, so what is Sunset a princess of?"
"I suppose Sunset is the princess of whatever her element is." Princess Celestia said sounding unsure.
"But I'm not really sure what my element is Princess Celestia." Sunset said to her former mentor.
"Hm, I think that's something to think about later. Right now we have to think of a spell that could save the tree of harmony." Princess Luna said turning to face Princess Twilight, " Twilight, do you happen to know of any ancient healing spells or something of the sort?"
"I'm afraid I don't, most of my spell books are in my castle library, but I'm afraid it's disappeared with the rest of Ponyvile." Princess Twilight said glumly.
"Wait, maybe your castle is gone, but do you think Canterlot is? Maybe we could get some spell books from there." Rarity (From CHS) suggested.
"That's a good idea, I'll teleport us there." Discord held his claw up ready to snap but was stopped by a red aura.
"Wait Discord, we don't know if Canterlot is there, and if you snap us there, we could just teleport into nothing. We need to head somewhere else." Sunset said letting go of Discords eagle claw.
"Do you think the Crystal Empire has disappeared?" Rarity (From Equestria) asked.
"Oh c'mon, you guys have an Empire made of literal crystals?! How rich is this place!?" Stormy asked in annoyance.
"Stormy know isn't the time.." Galaxy whispered to her
"Right.." Stormy replied sheepishly.
"Anyway, as Rarity was saying maybe the Crystal Empire hasn't disappeared because it's far north." Princess Twilight said.
"So I can teleport us there?" Discord asked impatiently.
"Just a second Discord, I need to send Princess Cadence and Shining Armor a message to let them know we're coming." Princess Celestia said, "Wouldn't want to startle them by random showing up there now would we."
"Great, so we just shot them a text." Sunshine said pulling out her phone from seemingly nowhere.
"You carried your phone with you?!" Rainbow dash asked her with a stern look on her face.
"Duh, why wouldn't I?" Sunshine said.
"Uh what's a phone?" Rainbow dash (From Equestria) asked pointing at Sunshine's bright yellow device "Wait, you don't know what a phone is? but how do you stay in touch? How do you-" Sunshine was cut off when Frosty put a hoof around her mouth.
"Zip it Sunshine."
"Okay, we have sent the letter." Princess Luna said ending the argument.
"Sunshine put the phone back, now." Frosty said sternly, glaring daggers with her.
"Fine." Sunshine said rolling her eyes as she used her magic to put the phone where it probably was before.
"Okay, let's go everypony!" Discord snapped his fingers and teleported them to the Crystal Empire, leaving the dark empty cave.
------------------------------------------------------------- In The Crystal Empire -------------------------------------------------------------
Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armor were sitting on their thrones, finishing reading the letter Princess Celestia had sent them.
"Princess Celestia said they will be on there way and will arrive unexpectedly so be-" Cadence was cut off by a bright flash in the middle of the throne room, all the guards picked up their spears and were ready to attack. When the light clear, it revealed all of them in the middle of the throne room with a shocked look on their faces. Princess Twilight immediately handed Frosty a bucket.
"Thanks Twi." Frosty said handing her back the bucket. Twilight look at it in disgust and used her magic to send it through a portal leading to somewhere.
"Twily!" Shining Armor exclaim walking down from his throne to meet his younger sister, "It's so good to see you, all of you." He said to everyone else.
"Twilight, so nice to see you again." Cadence walked down from her throne to meet her niece.
"Sunshine, sunshine, ladybugs awake, clap your hooves and do a little shake." They both chanted and laughed.
"Never gets old." Cadence said embracing Twilight.
"It's good to see you, Princess Mi Amore Cadenze, Prince Shining Armor." Princess Luna said to the two.
"You do realize that mi amore Cadenze mean I love Cadence, right?" Frosty whispered to Sunset.
"You ask too many questions." Sunset said shaking head as she silently laughed.
"-So that's why your here. Well I think we have some spell books in the Crystal library, come with us. Shining, can you handle the remaining duties while I help our guests?" Cadence asked her husband.
"Sure honey." Shining replied.
Cadence lead the group out of the throne room, the exited and passed through a shimmering crystal hallway with crystal tables with purple table cloths and clear vases with roses on top. The floor was made entirely out of crystals with a red carpet covering each floor. They reached a big glass door with two guards in front, who had shimmering crystal coats, much too Stormy's annoyance.
"Why are these guys so different from the horses, erm ponies we saw in Ponyvile?" Stormy asked looking at the two guards
"That's because their called crystal ponies, their fueled by their love which makes them crystal." Pinkie pie explained as she bounced, "When they show their love for the Empire, which is powered by the crystal heart, it makes them all shiny! It happened to us once when the big bad meanie King Sombra showed up and stole the crystal heart and it was up to Twilight to stop him but then Spike saved the day and we all became crystaly! Or that other time when it was Flurry heart's crystaling but then she sneezed a really big, powerful sneeze and broke the crystal heart causing the Empire to almost freeze over but then it was saved by Sunburst and the crystal ponies who fueled a crystal with love and then fixed the crystal heart! Then we became all crystaly again! Even Princess Celestia and Luna! But their manes were still all flowy and wavey but very crystally.." Pinkie pie continued to ramble not notice Stormy had walked over to Sunshine, who was talking with Frosty.
"Guys you gotta help, this Pinkie is just as crazy as the other one from our world, but ten times more talkative!" Stormy cried putting her hooves to her ears.
"Ha! Well, you gotta love Pinkie for being Pinkie. I remember this one time in baking class when she talked to me for the entire lesson and got us both detention. Good times." Frosty laughed.
Meanwhile Cadence was leading everyone to the spell book section.
"Whoa, look at all the books!" Both Twilights said in awe, gazing dreamily at the books.
"Eggheads." Rainbow dash (From Equestria) said rolling her eyes.
"Tell me about it." The other Rainbow said, hoof bumping Equestrian Rainbow.
"-Here you'll be able to find any kind of spell. I have to get going now, but I wish you all good luck!" Cadence flew out of the door, leaving the group behind.
"Well, let's get looking." Starlight said causing both Rainbow dashes to groan in despair.
"Come on guys, this will be fun!" Sunset said picking up a book titled 'Healing and Enchantments'.
"Says you." Stormy muttered.

"Did you know that you can curse a pegasus to fly sideways." Sunny said, "Oh Frosty..."
"Don't even think about it, last thing I need is too be more clumsy than I already am." Frosty groaned slamming her face into her book and groaning loudly.
"I've read fifty five book, thirty enchantment scrolls and still nothing!" Pinkie pie (From CHS) cried angrily.
"Come one everypony, we must not loose hope!" Princess Celestia said trying to be encouraging, by now she had lots of hairs out of place and looked very tired.
"But that's what you said five hour ago!" Frosty exclaimed lifting her head from her book to look at the older alicorn.
"This is hopeless." Rainbow said shoving her book into the shelf.
"I hate to say it, but I agree with Rainbow dash." Fluttershy said between a yawn, "We've been here for hours and haven't found anything."
"Hold that thought Flutters." Sunset said with a book in front of her.
"Why, you found something?" Starlight asked, putting down her book and trotting over to Sunset.
"Yeah, this is a book about the tree of harmony itself!" Sunset exclaimed turning the book around to show everyone. There was a page with a diagram of the elements and the tree, "It says something about a seventh element."
"That must be yours!" Twilight said rushing over to the book and picking it up in her magic, "There's a prophecy too."
"What does it say?" Princess Twilight asked.
On the seventh day at sunset. A new element will arise that will fight out the darkness.
The element of forgiveness will be key.

"Forgiveness, that's it! Sunset is the bearer and princess of forgiveness!" Princess Twilight cried
"I'm the princess of forgiveness?" Sunset asked curiously.
"I wonder what it means by 'Forgiveness is key'?" Fluttershy asked Twilight.
"I think it means Sunset is the answer!" Sunshine said.
"What my sister means to say is that Sunset's element is what we need to stop this, and maybe what we need to heal the tree!" Sunny said
"Wait you two are sisters?" Starlight asked.
"Yep" Sunshine and Sunny replied wrapping a hoof around each other
"So if Sunset's element is the answer to all of this..then what are we waiting for people let's go already!" Frosty said.
"On it." Discord lifted his claw and snapped all of them back to the cave.
Princess Cadence walked in with a plate of sandwiches and mugs of coffee held with her magic.
"Hey guys, you've been in here for a while so I brought..guys?" Cadence looked around the library, but saw no one there.
"Oh come on! I never do anything exciting." Cadence pouted and kicked at the ground with her hoof. Then a note appeared in a flash in front of her.

"Oh pony feathers. And did he just call me Crystal horse?"

The group appeared in a bright flash in the cave.
"Okay, I think I know what to do." Frosty said.
"You guys, channel your Rainbow power." Frosty said pointing to the main six, "And you guys get your elements from the tree"
Sunset used her magic to remove the elements from the tree, her's becoming a crown and Twilight's a necklace. The main six close their eyes and Twilight spread her wings and channeled her magic. A rainbow glow lit the cave and transformed them into their rainbow powered selves.
"Whoa that looks awesome!" Stormy said pointing to them in awe.
"Yeah I know, we look amazing." Rainbow dash bragged.
"No time for that. Now the rest of you go stand on the side." Frosty said commanding the rest
"Uh, Miss Frosty, what is it exactly that your doing?" Princess Luna asked suspiciously.
"Well, as I said earlier, combining the rainbow power and the new elements, plus Sunset's might heal the tree. Now are you gonna question me or help me? Cause I'm trying to save your world here!" Frosty said, her wings flared as her temper rose.
"I advice you do what she says, she's not the best person to be around when she's angry." Sunny whispered to the two sisters. They stepped back to a cave wall where Discord was also standing, so that they would be in the way.
"Okay, I gotta chill." Frosty said to herself, "I'm not very familiar with magic, like at all, so this is a long shot here. But I think using your power directly at the tree may heal it since both the rainbow power and elements come from the tree."
Frosty turned to Starlight with a serious look. "Do you think it's a good plan, I mean you seem pretty good at magic, so what do you think?"
Starlight gave Frosty warm smile and walked to her side, "I think it's a great plan."
"So, let's give it a shot then." Princess Twilight said turning to her friends, "Let's do this." Each of them closed their eyes and began glowing. Next the main seven closed their eyes and their elements began glowing in their colours. Each group started to lift of the ground and a bright aura surrounded them. They all floated close to each other, every counterpart close together. Then Twilight and Sunset eyes open with a bright white light in them and a rainbow beam shot towards the tree. A flashing bright light filled the room, causing everyone to shield themselves with a wing or hoof.
Once the light cleared, the tree was no longer there, but in it's place a bigger, golden one with all of the elements there and restored.
"Whoa." Everyone said gazing in awe at the new tree before them.
"Are those the elements of harmony?" Starlight ask pointing a hoof at the new, shinier ones.
"But that's impossible, the old ones are right-" Princess Twilight stopped when she turned around to see the old dimmer ones still where she had placed them earlier.
"I think, I think the tree and the elements got a new upgrade when we combined our powers." Sunset said, still gazing at the new elements upon the tree.
"And look! There's Sunset's element, right there." Rainbow dash (From Equestria) said pointing at not a red, but a light purple element instead.
"Uh Rainbow, I don't think that's Sunset's, her's is red, that one purple." Fluttershy (From Equestria) corrected. The purple element was shaped like a four pointed star, which lay right between Rainbow dash's and Rarity's.
"I wonder why it looks like..Oh my gosh!" Starlight gasped in surprise, "It looks like my cutie mark!"
"That means...." Princess Twilight said looking to her mentors.
"That Starlight is the new bearer of the element of forgiveness for Equestria. Yes Twilight, that's what it means." Princess Celestia replied calmly.
"Whoa, two new element bearers for a new element, what a day." Frosty said wrapping a hoof around Starlight.
"Me...an element of harmony? I just...wow." Starlight said, sitting down on the cave floor with a hoof to her temple, "Why would the tree choose me?"
"Just like how it chose me, Starlight, the tree thinks your ready." Sunset said walking towards the panicking Starlight.
"Wow, what a drama feast. I think I need more popcorn." Discord said snapping his fingers making a bucket of popcorn appear in his lion paw and a chocolate milk in his eagle claw.
"Ooh, can we have some?" Both Pinkie pie's asked eagerly. The Draconequus snapped his fingers and made two more buckets appear.
"Thank you!" They said in unison.
"Hey guys, come look at this!" Stormy called from outside the cave, "The storm has cleared!"
"So Equestria is saved?" Galaxy asked.
"Yay! This calls for a party!" Equestrian Pinkie cheered throwing her hooves in the her causing her popcorn to spill, "Aw, my popcorn."
"I think this also calls for a coronation of our newest princess. Princess Sunset Shimmer." Princess Luna said with a warm smile.
"And celebrate Equestria's newest hero. Starlight Glimmer." Princess Celestia said to Starlight with a warm smile. "Guess we should be contacting our stain glass window ponies. Should we shot them a text, Miss Sunshine." Sunshine blushed in embarrassment remembering her earlier actions.
"Maybe a letter would be nice." She smiled to the alicorn. The two shared a laugh.
"You know what time it is?" CHS Pinkie asked with a big smile.
"It's party time!" Equestrian Pinkie said pulling a pink canon from nowhere and blasting it.
"Well, we better start planing your coronation, Princess Sunset." Starlight bowed mockingly.
"And your celebration party, my fellow element of forgiveness." Sunset said bowing as well.
Princess Twilight trotted up to Frosty who was sitting and talking with Discord. "Hey Discord, can I talk to Frosty alone for a minute?" She asked polietly.
"Sure. I'll go talk with Fluttershy then." Discord said snapping away.
"Hey Princess Twi, what do ya wanna talk about?" Frosty asked turning to the purple alicorn.
"I just wanted to thank you, for today." Princess Twilight said sitting down next to her.
"For what?" Frosty asked.
"For stepping up today to help all of us, if it weren't for you, Starlight would have never became the seventh element, or Sunset would have never earned her wings. You did some very hard and smart thinking and I'm proud, and grateful." She said putting a wing around her.
"Oh come on, you guys could have thought about that all on your own. Your a pretty smart Princess."
"Thanks, and your a pretty smart human. I'm glad Sunset brought all of you along. We couldn't have done this without you. Hey I could even ask Princess Celestia to make a stain glass window in your honor." Princess Twilight said with a suggestive nudge.
"Nay, I'm pretty sure that would be a stretch, plus, I'm not sure she likes me that much." Frosty whispered to Twilight.
"Of course, I'm sure she doesn't like you after saving her country from disappearing." Princess Twilight said sarcastically.
"Okay, okay, maybe she does like me. But I'm not that sure." Frosty said with a smirk. The two shared a small laugh before Discord announced he was going to teleport them to Canterlot.
Discord raised his claw and snapped them out of the cave for the last time.

"We have arrived. Thank you for teleporting with Chaos Express have a safe journey." Discord announced into a microphone, now in a pilot outfit.
"Oh, that's new, I don't feel sick." Frosty said with surprise.
"Guess you got used to it." Sunset said with a smirk.
Both Rarity's turned their attention to Sunset. "Sunset, before your coronation, you must simply let us style your dress, we had some small ideas, but we wanted to see what you thought first.
"Are you sure that's necessary Rarity?" Sunset asked both of them.
"Why of course darling!" Equestrian Rarity replied waving a hoof at her.
"You can't have a coronation without one!" CHS Rarity said, "But, can you teleport us to her boutique first?"
"Sure." Sunset turned to the others. "I'll be with the Rarity's, see you all soon." Sunset used her magic to teleport them to Equestrian Rarity's boutique.
"Well, we all have to do our bit for this coronation, so let's get to work." Princess Celestia said.
"Of course Princess." Equestrian Applejack said, "We'll try to make this the best coronation ever!"
"I can't wait!" Equestrian Pinkie cheered, bouncing up and down in excitement.
"Okay, I'll make a list of all the things that need to be done." Princess Twilight said, using her magic to make a clipboard and a pen appear, "So both Pinkie's are in charge of decor, Both Applejack's are in charge of food, both Rainbow's should be able to do a double sonic rainboom across the sky, and both Fluttershy's are in charge of music."
"On it!" They all replied, Discord snapped his talons and they all went where they were supposed to go.
"What do we do then?" Galaxy asked.
"You make sure that everything goes as planned. Frosty and Starlight you help me with invites." Princess Twilight said.
"Okay, on it." Sunny, Sunshine, Galaxy and Stormy replied as Sunshine teleported them to Fluttershy's to check on things there.
"And my sister and I will work on the stained glass windows." Princess Celestia said as her and her sister flew off.
"Okay, first on the list is music so we have to check in with the Fluttershy's, next we'll go by Pinkie's." Sunshine confirmed with the group, she was reading off the clipboard Princess Twilight was using earlier.
"I think it would be best if we split up, so that we can do this faster." Stormy suggested, flying above the rest. She had not touched the ground almost all day ever since she learned how to fly.
"Yeah, maybe that's a good idea. Plus I was thinking once we're done, we could explore Canterlot or Ponyvile a bit more." Sunny said with growing excitement.
"Ok, we can split up, Galaxy with me to check on music, decor and the performance after the ceremony." Sunshine said, glancing at her clipboard once more.
"And Stormy with me to check on food, and Twilight, since she's making sure everything is okay with the Princesses." Sunny said.
"Uh Stormy, aren't your wings aching or something? You've been flying all day." Galaxy pointed out, asking the grey pegasus with concern.
"Oh no, I'm fine. I'm just practicing for when I beat Frosty in a race, she is still a clumsy flyer so I wanted to test her." Stormy replied with a smirk, "But I'll take a break now, don't want to tire myself out."
The others giggled. "Hey, speaking of Frosty. Should we ask her to come with us to Ponyvile for some adventuring?" Sunshine asked.
"Nay, she seems busy with Princess Twilight writing invites." Galaxy said.
"She sure has been spending a lot of time with her lately. Ever since we were at the cave." Sunny said with a small pout.
"I'm sure it's fine, she's just making some new friends, it's not our place to judge." Stormy replied.
"Guess so, anyway we should get going." Sunshine said putting her clipboard away, she turned to Galaxy, "Gal, I'll teleport us to Fluttershy's cottage, Pinkie told me where it was."
"Okay." Galaxy replied. Sunshine used her magic to teleport them away.
"Stormy, we should go check on Pinkie's decor now." Sunny said closing her eyes and trying to focus.
"What are you-" Stormy didn't finish, a blue flash teleported them away to Pinkie pie's house.
----------------------------------------------- With Sunset and Rarity -----------------------------------------------
"Hold still darling, we're almost done." CHS Rarity said with a pin cushion in her magic.
"Okay, but I gotta ask, how did you get this done so quickly?" Sunset asked looking at her reflection in the mirror, she was wearing a light purple dress with a red sun gem at the chest.
"Oh, this was one of Twilight's other coronation dresses, I had to do many redo's with the design. But I always keep the old one's just in case. Plus it fit you wonderfully, with just a few adjustments it will be ready." Equestrian Rarity said.
"Oh okay, well I think it looks amazing." Sunset said smiling at the dress with delight. Both Rarity's blushed at the compliment.
"Just doing what we do best." CHS Rarity said, fixing something small at the back.
"We're all done darling, now you can take the dress off, I'll keep it here for safe keeping." Equestrian Rarity said, helping Sunset out of the dress.
"Okay, thanks again girls! I'm so glad to have you as a friend." Sunset smiled and hugged them both.
"We're glad to." CHS Rarity said, embracing Sunset more.
Sunset turned around and left Rarity's boutique. She trotted through the town as a few ponies stared at her in shock because of her wings and horn, she tried her best to ignore them focusing more on where she was going. She was heading towards the Castle of Friendship to talk to Princess Twilight about something that was bothering her.
She reached the castle and opened the big golden doors with her magic, trotting right in. "Twilight? You home?" She called out into the castle.
A purple alicorn came down the golden stairs, looking tired. Twilight's mane had hairs sticking out and her wings were ruffled and a few feathers out of place, behind her a white pegasus came trotting down the stairs in the same state.
"What happened to you too? You look awful, no offense." Sunset said walking towards the two.
"Oh we may or may not have gotten zero sleep last night, and stayed up eating cake while thinking of ponies to invite to your coronation." Frosty said with a sheepish grin.
"Of course you did, anyway can I talk to you two for a sec? Or do you need some sleep first?" Sunset asked with a smug grin.
"Nope we're totally available to..." Twilight dozed off before finishing her sentence. Sunset clapped her hooves loudly causing her to wake up, " Talk! We can totally talk!"
"Okay, I think you two need a nap, come on you two, let's get you to bed." Sunset said using her magic to pick them both up and pulling them along with her upstairs.
"But no! I'm not tired!" Frosty protested, kicking her legs in attempt to escape Sunset's grasp.
"Trust me, you'll feel better in the morning." Sunset said bring Frosty to the room they were staying in and putting her to bed first, "Goodnight Frosty."
"Good night." Frosty mumbled sleepily before falling fast asleep.
Sunset closed the curtains and quietly walked out of the room.
She turn around to see that Twilight had fallen asleep in her magic grasp, Sunset giggled at the sight, then Twilight's ear twitched slightly as a smile crept on her face.
"Let's get you to bed sleepy alicorn." Sunset navigated Twilight's room lay her gently on the bed and covered her with the duvet.
"Goodnight Twi." Sunset whispered to her and left the room quietly.
----------------------------------------------------- With Starlight -----------------------------------------------------
Starlight knocked on a small purple and blue wagon and waited for a response.
"Come in." She heard from inside.
Starlight pushed the door open with her magic and entered the cluttered wagon.
"Oh, hey Starlight, what you doing her?" A blue unicorn asked, sitting a hammock.
"Hey Trixie, I just need you advice with something." Starlight replied taking a seat across her on a different hammock.
"What can Trixie help you with?" Trixie asked her friend.
"Well, you may not have heard but I'm the new element of harmony and-"
"Your an element of harmony?!" Trixie interrupted.
"Yeah, and you know my friend from the human world?" Starlight asked, "Well, she's kinda an alicorn princess now and-"
"There's a new princess!?" Trixie interrupted again.
"Yes, and her coronation is tomorrow." Starlight said.
"So your here to invite the Great and Powerful Trixie to her coronation? By the way, what is this princess's name?" Trixie asked with growing interest.
"Sunset Shimmer. But anyway, I came here to ask.-"
"Sunset Shimmer? I don't think I've meet her before." Trixie interrupted her again.
"Ugh, Trixie stop interrupting me!" Starlight said in frustration, "I'm trying here to ask you for advice and all your interested in is Sunset's coronation!"
"Oh, Trixie is sorry, I didn't realize, so what do you need Trixie's help with?" Trixie asked sympathetically.
"It's just, when I met Twilight, they were a team, an unstoppable one and now I'm a part of that team, I was her student for a while and now being by her side in battles and stuff it's just..What if I'm not good enough for them?" Starlight asked burring her face in her hooves.
"Good enough? Starlight what do you mean? You are by far the most powerful pony I know, and you're the one who gave me a second chance. So trust me when I say that you are more then good enough okay? Your better." Trixie said putting a hoof on Starlight's shoulder.
"You really think so?" Starlight asked looking up at her friend.
"No, I know so." Trixie said, pulling her into a hug.
"Thank you Trixie, you a really good friend." Starlight said hugging her back.
"Your a good friend too Starlight." Trixie said pulling back, "So, about that coronation invite."
"Yes Trixie, you can come." Starlight said exiting the wagon, " I have to go now, see you at the coronation."
"Bye Starlight!" Trixie waved.
"Bye Trixie!" Starlight waved back.
---------------------------------------------------------- The day of the Coronation ---------------------------------------------------------
"We are gathered here today for the ceremony of one of my dear students, she has gone into another world and protects the citizen there, but today I would like to celebrate her and her friends for saving our land of Equestria." Princess Celestia announced standing on the stage along side the four other princesses, "Without farther a dew, I present to you Equestria's newest princess, Princess Sunset Shimmer!"
The two big wooden doors opened and out came Sunset Shimmer, in a beautiful light purple dress with glitter red fabric at the back. Along side her were six yellow mares caring flags with her cutie mark on it, singing;
The Princess Sunset Shimmer, behold, behold! A Princess is before us, behold, behold! Behold, behold! The Princess Sunset Shimmer!
Sunset gracefully walked down the aisle, ponies gazed in awe. She walked up to the stage the princesses were standing on and stood in front of Celestia, ready. Ready to be that leader. Ready to take on the responsibility. She was ready.
"Sunset Shimmer, you have become a graceful, strong leader. And today, you are excepting your destiny as a leader of not only Equestria, but your own realm too." Princess Celestia spoke, Princess Luna levitated a golden crown similar to Twilight's with Sunset's cutie mark shaped gem at the top, "With this crown, I, Princess Celestia, hereby declare you, Princess Sunset Shimmer, Princess of forgiveness." She lifted the crown and placed in on Sunset's head and she took her place next to Twilight as one of the leaders of Equestria.
The crowd rose and stomped their hooves and cheered. Some ponies throw yellow and red rose petals while unicorns sparked their horns in many different colours. Both Rainbow dashes flew up in the air to a high point then came rushing down, to complete their sonic rainboom.
Once the coronation was finished, all of the ponies close to the main six came to the after party.
------------------------------------------ At the Party! ------------------------------------------
Loud music was playing and their was a multicoloured dance floor that ponies were dancing on, there was a food table which was filled with lots of food, mostly apple treats (courtesy of Applejack) and yellow, red and purple streamers were hung everywhere along with some red and purple balloons floating around. By the punch bowl, Twilight was telling Starlight about the many ways to use technology, and both Applejacks and Sunny were dancing on the dance floor. Equestrian Rainbow dash was trying to teach Sunset how to fly, while Stormy and CHS Rainbow watched and giggled when she would fall to the ground on her rump.
Princess Celestia and Luna noticed Twilight wasn't talking with anyone at the time, and came over to chat.
"Hello Twilight, enjoying the party?" Princess Celestia asked the younger alicorn.
"Yeah, I was just thinking about something.." Twilight said lowering her head.
"What is it? Are you alright?" Princess Luna asked concerned.
"Well, it's just that, I'll be ruling Equestria soon in your place and since you too rule together..I was thinking about asking Sunset to be my co-ruler for company and to make it easier, but I'm not sure she would want to leave the human world." Twilight said, looking at the two, but not in the eye.
"Twilight, that would be a big decision for Sunset to make, but I think you should talk to her about it before she leaves." Princess Luna said raising Twilight's head with a hoof to make eye contact.
"Indeed, it is true, ruling alone isn't easy, I know from experience and I think you and Sunset would work great as rulers, if she agrees. Sunset is a very capable and strong pony, is she does say yes, I have full confidence in the two of you." Princess Celestia said with a warm smile.
"Thank you, both of you." Twilight said, embracing both her former mentors, "I think I know what I have to do."
The two sisters nodded and trotted off into the party. Twilight walk over to Sunset, who was now taking with Fluttershy and Discord about the different flavors of tea.
"Oh, hey Twilight." Sunset said, waving to her.
"Hey Sunset, um, there's something I need to talk to you about." She looked to Fluttershy and Discord, "Alone."
"Oh fine! I see I'm not welcomed here anymore, farewell Twilight Shimmer, Sunset Sparkle." Discord said snapping himself and Fluttershy away. Twilight and Sunset just rolled their eyes.
"Anyway, what did you want to talk about?" Sunset asked tuning to Twilight.
"Well, I was wondering, and it's totally okay if you say no, I was just asking and I won't be upset, it's just-" Sunset brought a hoof to Twilight's mouth to silence her rambling.
"Just ask me Twilight, it's okay." Sunset said calmly as she removed her hoof from Twilight's lips.
"Okay, well I'm gonna be ruling Equestria soon, as I said in one of my letters and I was hoping you would um......like to be co-ruler with me? I mean my coronation for princess isn't until the end of the year, so..?" Twilight asked nervously as she turned her head away from her.
"C-co-rule Equestria along side you? I-I don't know I mean I'm graduating high school this year and wasn't really looking into collage that much. But do you think I'm ready to rule? I mean I was just crowned a princess today. What do Celestia and Luna think?" Sunset asked with raising panic.
"They said you would make a wonderful leader and they think you ready. But that's only if you want to." Twilight said turning her head back to Sunset.
"Well Twilight, I guess if they think I'm ready and you think I can do it then....I think my answer is yes." Sunset said with a weak smile, Twilight smiled back at her and gave her a big hug.
"Yes? Really! I'm so happy I'm gonna be ruling with you Sunset." Twilight said pulling back and looking her in the eye.
"I'm happy too Twi!" They separated and started breathing heavily.
"Guess we should tell everyone?" Twilight asked looking her soon-to-be co-ruler.
"Yeah. But first we should enjoy the party." Sunset said looking around.
"Oh, on more thing we have to settle." Twilight said.
"What's that?" Sunset asked walking towards the snack table, Twilight following behind her.
"Who's gonna be sun princess and who's gonna be night princess." Twilight asked with a smug grin.
"I think you know the answer to that, future princess of the night." Sunset said with a smirk.
Two regal alicorns sat on the thrones in the castle. Under the new rule of Princess Twilight Sparkle and Princess Sunset Shimmer, Equestria was peaceful and no new threats came. Ever since their rule, Twilight had taken up a new student that would one day follow in her hoofsteps.
Sunset still kept in touch with all of her friends from CHS. They would have occasional visits through the portal, or if they couldn't they would just write to each other using the book Celestia gave her.
Today was a very important day for the two. It was the one time a moon when all there friends would meet up in Canterlot for their annual Council of Friendship meeting.
There was a knock on the throne room door, and a familiar griffon dressed in golden armor walked in.
"Princesses, they have arrived. Should I send them in?" Gallus asked, bowing to the pair.
"Yes Gallus." Princess Twilight responded raising a hoof to signal he should rise.
Gallus nodded and walked away. He returned with five old mares.
"Twilight! Sunset! It's so good to see you!" Pinkie Pie with her usual cheeriness as the other walked behind her.
The two alicorns walked down from their thrones to greet their friends.
"It's so good to see you Pinkie," Twilight turned to the others. "All of you."
They all embraced in a group hug before turning to Sunset who was watching with a warm smile.
"Are they gonna arrive soon?" Rainbow Dash asked the day princess.
"I think so." As on que, five other mares, plus the other main six burst through the doors.
"We're here!" Frosty said, panting and catching her breath.
They had all aged from the thirty years of the new rule. They had gray and white streaks in their manes, bags under their eyes and walked a lot slower than before.
Sunset trotted to meet her friends, embracing them with her majestic wings.
"I'm so happy to see you guys!" Sunset said as she folded her wings back in place.
"We're so glad to see you guys too!" Frosty replied with delight turning to the other ponies in the room.
"Yeah. What has it been now, a few years?" CHS Applejack joked as the others joined in.
"Yeah, and we need you two to stop growing, I'm gonna be straining my neck trying to talk to you when we meet next." Equestria Rainbow said looking up at the two alicorns rubbing her neck with a hoof.
Sunset jokingly crouched down to Rainbow's height and laughed.
"Is this better?" Sunset returned to her full height and laughed again while Rainbow pouted.
"Anyway," Twilight said to the group. "Didn't Twilight say she would have a special pony joining us today?"
"Ooh, did Twi finally get a coltfriend?" Sunny asked teasingly.
Equestrian Rainbow and Applejack snickered as Twilight's face turned red in embarrassment.
"W-what? No! I'm just inviting my student over." She claimed stomping her hoof.
Frosty sighed and whispered to CHS Fluttershy.
"Will she ever date anyone, it's been what? Thirty years now since that Flash Sentry guy?" Fluttershy rolled her eyes and giggle softly.
"So, what do you have planned for tonight's sleepover?" Equestrian Rarity asked both Pinkie pies.
"Oh your gonna love what we planned, but it's a surprise so we can't tell you!" Equestrian Pinkie said bouncing with excitement.
"But just know your gonna love, love, love it!" They both squealed and started clapping their hooves like little fillies.
"I can't wait to see what you planned this year Pinkie." Equestrian Fluttershy said to her friends.
"Yeah me too! I Ioved last year's when you invited Discord over and he turned the room into a candy wonderland, so tasty." Stormy said gazing up to the ceiling with a grin on her face.
"I liked that one where you throw a pool party in a pool filled with whipped cream. I got a lot of cream stuck in my mane, but it was delicious." Sunset said.
The girls were talking when suddenly an orange and yellow maned unicorn burst through the doors.
"Oh, I'm sorry Princess Twilight. I thought I was late and....Wait, who are all of you?" She gestured to the ponies from CHS.
"Were Twilight's friends. I'm Frosty, this is Sunshine, Sunny, Galaxy, Stormy and I'm pretty sure you know who they are." She smirked to the CHS main six.
"Nice to meet you all, I'm Luster Dawn, Princess Sunset told me about you guys once, but I never thought I'd actually meet you!" Luster gushed with wide eyes.
"I'm so happy you could make it, Luster." Princess Twilight walked over to embrace her student.
"It's nice to see you too, Princess Twilight," She embraced her mentor back. "So, what did you invite me here for again.
"Well, since today is the day we meet up once every moon, we wanted to e invite you to spend the day with us, if that is okay with you." Sunset said, smiling warmly to her.
"That would be an honor your Magesties." Luster bowed so low that her horn was touching the ground.
"No need to be so formal, Luster. For the day, just call us Sunset and Twilight." Princess Twilight raised her hoof, signaling for her to rise.
"Okay Prin- er Twilight." Luster looked around at everyone nervously.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Let's get this party started!" Equestrian Pinkie cheered heading towards the door.
"Where will we be going first?" Luster asked the party pony with curiosity.
"A really good bakery in Ponyvile, run by my favorite not so little fillies," She hinted. Pinkie then stopped and turned to Princess Twilight. "Um, Twi, can you teleport us their instead?"
"Sure Pinkie." Twilight rolled her eyes and giggled, then with a poof they were gone.
Luster spent the day with her mentor and friends, learning more about friendship and other cultures. Rainbow dash bragging about their epic quests around and out of Equestria, Pinkie Pie teaching her the art of souffles and Frosty's interesting stories about the human world.
When the day was over, Luster Dawn returned back to Ponyvile and left to group to have their annual slumber party.
Twilight teleported the group back to her castle for everyone to get washed up and ready for the sleepover.
"Okay, let the sleepover commence!" Equestrian Pinkie cheered as she opened the door for a grand reveal.
The group gasped as they saw what was inside the room. There were multicolored streamers everywhere, there was a chocolate fountain with a plate of strawberries on one side and skewers on the other. A bunch of balloons floated gracefully around the room, and at the far end of the room there was a tabled piled with food of all kind. Then, at the center of the table lay a tall six tier cake decorated in frosting of every color, at the top of the cake there were mini fondent versions of all of the in a circle holding hooves.
"Wow Pinkie, you guys sure went all out for this, it looks amazing!" Twilight said stepping inside the room with awe as the others slowly followed, taking time to admire every single detail of the room.
"You sure did Pinkie, this is the most amazing party I have ever seen!" Frosty said excitedly as she admired every detail of the room.
"Well, then....let's get this party started!" Equestrian Pinkie cheered as she blasted a canon, confetti flying everywhere.
The girls partied and celebrated until the nightfall. They crawled into their sleeping bags that were lying in a circle in the middle of the room. As they slept, they knew that whatever happened next, whatever dangers emerged, they would face it together, always.
