> Silent Dawn > by Blueelectric > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Ch.1: The Escape > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- A fist slammed into her face as she walked out of her room. The smell of alcohol burned her nose. "You stupid brat!" her father, Breaking Dawn roared. His brown eyes glint with malice, as his pale yellow hand gripped around her throat as he lifts her into the air. He then threw Silent against a wall. She curled up in a fetal position as he kicked her with his hard boot. "Why don't you talk you stupid mute!", he barked. Tears ran along her creamy brown face, her icy blue eyes glittered with pain. He grabbed her by the brown hair of her head and dragged her in the kitchen. He took a beer bottle and smashed it against her face. Blood dripped from the new cuts on her face. She opened her mouth trying to scream but no sounds came out of it. Her father has always been like this. He's been even worse since her mother died in her sleep. Ever since she was a baby, she was always mute. The doctor said it might be permanent. Instead of talking, Silent writes in her notebook. She then ran in her room in their double-wide trailer, as her father ran after her. She slammed her door shut and locked it. Her father pounded on the door, "Open the door, you muted freak!, I'm not done playing with you, yet!" Silent leaned against the door, sliding to the floor as she silently wept. As he finely gave up, she went to her bed and got out her phone to text her pen pal, Fluttershy. Fluttershy r u awake? She then put down her phone. A few minutes later her phone buzzed. I am now. Silent Dawn, are you alright? I need help, I need to escape my dad, He's gotten worse! Hold on Silent, I'll call a bus to pick you up. You just pack up and head out of there immediately! Wait until he is asleep! She went into her closet and got out of her backpack. She packs up her clothes, undergarments, hairbrush, pajamas, and her favorite stuff dog "Stuffy" her mom gave her. She went to her mirror and stare at her face. Her eyes widened in horror at the cuts across her face. She touches one of them and flinched in pain. She slipped on her sneakers and tipped toed across the living room. Her father was slumped over holding a beer in one hand with the TV on. She crept over and turned the TV off. She slipped into his room and open his safe. She grabbed his money and his gun. She then slipped outside and ran to the bus stop. The bus was already there. "Heading to Canterlot City!" the bus driver yelled. She got on and paid the fee. She got on the back of the bus and sat down, sighing with relief. She then fell asleep against the window. When she wakes up she found out she's not there yet. So, she got out her notebook and pen and drew a dog. She always likes dogs, that's why Fluttershy and she are great friends. Soon she told Fluttershy of her condition and her abuse. She's been helping her escape for months, by telling her parents and her brother. Fluttershy told her that Mr. Shy letting her stay at a double-wide trailer he's renting out for her. She's also getting a job at the city animal shelter as a dog walker. She got out Stuffy and hug him tightly, petting him like a real dog. She wanted a real dog but her dad told him he hates dogs. He told her if he sees one dog he'll blow it's head off. So her mom got her a Tramp plushie. She opened her other pocket and took out a book. She loves the Survivor Series by Erin Hunter. Her favorite character is Martha and she cried when she died. Martha reminds Silent of her own mother who had died. She put the book back in and took out a heart shape picture necklace and opened it. It doesn't have any pictures in it yet, but it was a gift her mom gave her before she passed. Soon the bus arrived at Canterlot City at noon. She looked outside as it past tall buildings. She got her phone out to text Fluttershy that she was on her way to the station. As the bus finally arrived at the station she spotted Fluttershy and her dad near a four-door green car. She grabbed her backpack and walked out to greet them. Fluttershy ran up and hugged her tightly. "Oh, thank goodness you're alright. I thought you never escape that awful monster of a father. And your face is bleeding!" she fretted as she removes her gold streak bangs from her face. Her eyes widened with horror as she looked at the cuts across her face. Mr.Shy wince as he looked closer. "Jeez, you look pretty cut up," He grabbed her book bag and put it in the trunk of the car and shut it. He held out a green hand and she took it. "You may call me Mr.Shy, I'm sorry you have to go through that much pain from that horrible monster. I don't understand what father would do something so horrible to her daughter, especially one who can't even speak up." He said in sympathy. He opened the back door and gestured her to get in. Mr.Shy went into the driver's side and Fluttershy sat at the passenger. They drove to the rest of the town as Fluttershy told her the name of the buildings. They then slowly drove up in a driveway by a house surrounded by animals scurrying about. As the got out of the car, Fluttershy grabbed her by the hands and dragged her in the house. She led her into a bathroom where she got out a first aid kit and a black bottle of peroxide. She poor some peroxide on a cotton ball and dabbed it on her cuts. Silent cringed in pain. Fluttershy apologizes and dabbed it gently. She then got out some large bandages and put them on her face. "Come on, it's lunchtime." She led Silent into the kitchen. There stood Mr and Mrs.Shy and her brother, Zephyr Breeze. "Hey, Sis, Who is this?" asked Zephyr. "This is Silent Dawn, so be on your best behavior, Zephyr, She's from a terrible home."Fluttershy told. They sat around the table where Mrs.Shy made sandwiches and ice tea. She bit into her sandwich with relief and sipped her tea. When they are finished, Silent grabbed her bag to follow Fluttershy into her room. Before she got to the stairs Mr.Shy pushed gently pushed her aside. "You'll be staying here tonight and tomorrow I'll be showing you your new home," he told her. She nodded her head. She went up the stairs and went into Fluttershy's room. She looked around. The whole room was decorated in butterflies and in a picture frame was a picture of a cute white bunny rabbit. The same rabbit was sitting on the bed looking at her curiously. Fluttershy walked up and picked him up. She showed him to Silent. "This is Angel Bunny, Angel Bunny meet Silent." she introduced. Silent reaches out a creamy brown hand and stroke him behind his ears. Angel smiled as he kicked up his foot in delight. Silent smiled as she went to her backpack and pulled out Stuffy. Fluttershy looked at her with a smile. "Is that your "pet" Silent?" Silent nodded with a smile. "Does he have a name?" Silent grabbed her notebook and pen. She wrote it down and showed it to Fluttershy. "Stuffy?, well, that's a really nice name. Lady and the Tramp is one of my favorite movies as a child. " After dinner, Fluttershy laid out her sleeping bag on the floor. Silent got in as soon she's done changing in her pink paw print pajamas. Fluttershy wished her good night as soon as she turned off the bedside lamp. Silent then curled up and held Stuffy against her chest and quickly fell asleep. > Ch. 2: New Home And Sugercube Corner. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The light from the window woke Silent up the next morning. She sat up and stretched her arms with a yawn. She look around to find Fluttershy wasn't in her bed. She went to her backpack and grab her usual outfit; a blue sweater with black paw prints and blue jean pants. She went into the bathroom and turned the shower on and lock the door. She relaxed as the warm water poured down her back. She scrubbed her scarred arms were her father used her as an ash tray. There was also scars on her back and legs. She stepped out and dry herself off. She slipped on her outfit. She then fixed her gold streaked brown hair. She also put fresh bandages on her cuts. She went back into the room and slipped on her sneakers and head downstairs into the kitchen. Mr. Shy put a plate of scrambled eggs and strawberries and a glass of orange juice on the table in front of her. Fluttershy was in the chair beside of her. Mrs. Shy left for work. Both of Fluttershy's parents are meteorologists and works at the news station. Her mother works daytime and her father works the evenings. "So, Miss Dawn, are you ready to see your new home?" Mr. Shy asked as they all ate. Silent nodded with a nervous smile. After she ate she went upstairs to get her things. They then went out and got in the car. Fluttershy looked back at her. "Are you nervous?" Fluttershy asked politely. Silent nodded her head. They pulled in the driveway of a beautiful double wide trailer. They walked up the porch and Mr. Shy unlocked the door. "This is a three bedroom, two bathroom house." He explained as he opened the door. They stepped in the living room. Silent looked around. A couch seated against a wall with a window over it. A flat screen television hanged on the wall across from the couch. A wooden coffee table sat in the middle. Under the TV was a TV stand with a DVD player and cabinet for DVDs. Beside the living room was the kitchen. Mr. Shy gave Silent the keys. "All yours. I have to drop Fluttershy at school, so feel free to look around." Fluttershy grabbed Silent by the shoulders "If you need anything, text me and I'll head straight on over. And come to the Sugercube Corner around 3:00. I want to show you my friends." She handed Silent a sticky note. "And here's the address." She gave Silent a hug in farewell. They then left. Silent sat her book bag on the couch. She first explore the kitchen. She smiled in delight as she looked in the freezer. Inside were boxes of toaster strudels. On the kitchen island was a toaster. She went over and plugged it up. She open a box of strudels and pop two in. Toaster strudels was her most favorite food in the world! As the pastries was cooking, she went into the master room beside the kitchen. Inside was a full size water bed. She flopped on it, mentally laugh as it jiggle beneath her. She open the door to the master bathroom to find a small Jacuzzi and a walk in shower. She decided to make it her room. There was even a vanity set with a mirror and a walk in closet. She rushed in the kitchen when she heard the toaster ding. She got out a plate and put the pastries on it. She then drizzled the icing on them in the shape of paw prints. She sat on the couch and munch on her pastries, enjoying the the strawberry filling. She paused as she heard what sounds like a trash can fell over outside. Thinking it was a stray dog, she put her plate on the coffee table. She quietly open the front door and step outside on the porch. Instead of a dog, it was a girl. The girl was purple skinned and wore some sort of rock star clothing. Her purple hair got mint green streaks and in twin pigtails. And it look like she tripped over the trash can. "Dammit!" She cursed. Silent rushed over and helped her up. "Thanks," she grunted. Then the girl looked to see who helped her up. She stared at her and red appeared on her checks. Silent stared with a confused look. "S s sorry that I knock over your trash can." She stammered as she picked the can back up. "Um, My name is Aria Blaze, my sisters and I doesn't live very far from here." She explained. Silent cocked her head curiously. Aria scratched the back of her head nervously. "So, you just moved here?" Silent nodded her head. Aria stared at her. "What's wrong, can you talk?" Silent put her hand on her throat and shook her head. "Sore throat?" Silent got out her note book and wrote it down. She showed Aria. "You're mute?, um, sorry." She said with a frown. "So, got a name?". She wrote it and showed her. "Silent Dawn? That's uh, a unique and beautiful name, uh, I mean nice name!" She shouted which made Silent flinch in fear. Aria looked at her with wide eyes and held out her hands. "I'm sorry I yelled, I just have anger issues and my older sister, Adagio tells me to have it under control if I want to make some friends." Silent relaxed and pat her on the shoulder with a smile. Aria blushed. "Oh, shoot! I'm gonna be late for school again!" She said in alarm. "So, I'll see you around, don't want detention." She rushed off. She paused and turn around. "When do you start going to this school?" The creamy brown girl wrote and showed her. "Wednesday, well that's In two days." She paused and asked "May I borrow that notebook and pencil for a sec?" Silent gave to her in confusion. Aria flipped a page and wrote something in it. She gave the notebook and pencil back. "Adagio said is custom to give our phone numbers to potential friends even though most of them doesn't even answer." She said with a frown. "You text, don't you?" She received a nod. "Good. So see you around." She said with smile. She walked off, not before turning around and wave. Silent waved back. What a strange girl. She walked back inside to finish her now cold toaster strudels. It was now 3:00 as she finished exploring the rest of the house. When she drop her pencil in the couch cushion she was surprise to find the couch can also turn into an extra bed. The other rooms also have beds and the backyard got a patio. She grabbed the sticky note and her house key and shut the door. She typed the directions on her phone and followed it. It was 3:20 by the time she arrived at Sugercube Corner. There she was greeted with a hug from Fluttershy. "Oh, it's good to see you again Silent."She greeted with a smile. She grabbed Silent by the hand and led her to a booth with five other girls. A pink skinned girl with pink fluffy hair rushed over and gave Silent a bone crushing hug. "Oh!, you must be Fluttershy's cousin she's been telling us about! We'll have LOTS of fun together!" She screamed so loud that Silent thought she feel her eardrums bursting. "Pinkie Pie!" Shouted a girl with a posh accent. She feel herself free from the pink menace grasp. "The poor darling is already mute, don't make her deaf too!" Silent was then face to face to a girl with ivory skin and very stylist blue hair. "I'm, sorry about that dear, Pinkie Pie gets a little too excited when she meets a new friend," she apologized. "I'm Rarity by the way." She introduced. She lead her to the table were the other three sat. An orange girl with blond hair wearing a Stetson hat greeted her with a country accent,"I'm Applejack." She tipped her hat at her. A rainbow hair girl stand up and bowed, "I'm Rainbow Dash, the best soccer player this side of Canterlot." She boasted. The last girl with red and yellow streaked hair spoke up last, " And I'm Sunset Shimmer." She stood up and took Silent's hand. "I never met a mute person, in this world or the other." Silent raised one of her eyebrows. Pinkie Pie spoken up "Sunny used to be a unicorn from another world. She also used to be pretty mean!" She look at Sunset, "Uh, no offence." Sunset sighed, "None taken." Silent took it with a pinch of salt and took a seat at the table. Fluttershy gave her a banana strawberry smoothie. She took a sip her face lit up with delight. The other girls giggled. "I'm the one who made it!" Pinkie said excitedly. Silent gave her a thumbs up. "I take that as an a complement to the chef!" The whole booth exploded with laughter as Silent looked on with grin. Something caught the corner of her eyes and she spotted Aria sitting in another booth with two other girls. Aria looked up and caught her eye. She gave her a little smile and went back talking with the other girls. For the first time in her life Silent feels safe and secure. > Ch.3:A School Tour With Some Sirens. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- In a tiny apartment Wednesday morning, a small digital alarm clock went off. A purple hand rose and slammed onto the button to turn it off. She rose her head and look at the time. It was 7:00 am. She slowly rose out of bed and look at the two other occupants in the tiny bed room. Aria then slowly stepped over the mattress on the floor with a blue skinned girl snoring away. She look at the other bed beside the other wall to find her older sister was already up. She slipped out the room and made her way to the kitchenette. Adagio was already there making some coffee. Her sister looked back at her and hand her a cup. "Morning, Ari." She greeted. She went back into the room to wake up Sonata. She sighed as she looked at the eviction notice on the small kitchen counter. They got untill tomorrow to move out. They have to pack up after school. She look as their younger sister rubbed her eyes. "Man, I had a great dream last night! It was raining tacos and I heard some guy singing about it out of nowhere, it was catchy too." She grumbled. The older two just shook their head in amusement. Then her eyes widened with worry. "We have to move out tonight don't we?" She asked sadly. Adagio gave her a hug. She spoke up,"We'll probably have to live on the streets until we think of something. Now both of you get ready for school." She ordered. Aria got ready and head out door last. She slowed as she past the house where she meet that girl. Knowingly that the new girl got school today, she walked up the porch wondering if she was steal in bed or she's already at school. She knocked on the door. "Silent, are you in there?" She knocked again. She then heard a faint noise in the house. Footsteps were heard rushing towards the door. She heard it unlock and opened to revealed the girl. Her hair was in a mess and her blue eyes widened. "You told me the other day you start school today and I was wondering if you were awake." Silent's blue eyes widened with realization. She gestured her to come in. Aria hesitated for a moment and slowly step inside. She has to admit, this is a pretty neat place for somebody living on their own. She sat on the couch and stared in the direction Silent took. The door near the kitchen was closed. Then for what feels like hours she quickly stepped out fully dressed. Part of her bangs was partly covering one of her eyes and her hair pulled up in a ponytail. She was also wearing her book bag. They both headed out the door and Silent locked the door. As they walk towards the school house, Aria notice she was staring down at the sidewalk with a frown. "Are you OK?" She asked with a concern face. Silent looked up and slowly nodded her head. Aria notice bags under her showing under her icy blue eyes. "Can't sleep last night?" She asked. She shooked her head in return, her eyes widened with fear. Aria notice she was shaking. So without thinking, she wrapped her arm around the clearly frightened girl. Silent flinched with shock. Aria noticed what she was doing and flinched away. "I'm sorry, Silent! It was my instincts, I didn't know what was doing!" She looked down in shame. "You probably don't want my friend now." Tears was starting to wield in her eyes. She felt arms wrapping her in a warm embrace. She stood stiff and felt her face heating up. It took her a few moments to realized the girl was hugging her. She slowly returned the embrace and bury her face into the girl's shoulder. She pour all her guilt and shame on to Silent, telling her what her and her sisters did in the past, about the Battle Of The Bands and them mind controlling the students into hating each other. She thought the girl would be mad at her, instead she felt her hand rubbing her back. They then broke the embrace. Silent got out her notebook and wrote something in it. She gave it to Aria, in it, it read: "What you and your sister did was wrong, but I'm not angry. I wasn't even around. But you did feel guilty about it. There's some people in this world who doesn't even feel sorry what they did. There is people who are monsters in there hearts and they don't need special powers. But your not a monster, Aria, you just made a very bad decision and you apologize for it." She took her notebook back and put it back in her pocket. Aria felt some what better about herself. She gaze at Silent with a smile. They resume their walk to the school. Soon they arrive at Canterlot High. Aria direct Silent to Principle Celestia's office and head to her locker. A few minutes in first period she heard the intercom come on. "Aria Blaze, Sonata Dusk, Adagio Dazzle, please come to the Principle's office." She stopped her work and head straight towards the office, but not before she heard some whispering. She met with the rest of her sisters in the hallway. "Do you now whats going on Ari?"questioned Sonata. "Do you two know about that new girl I told you about Monday?" Both nodded their heads. "Well, I think we're going to give them a tour today." They soon reach Principle Celestia's office where Silent was already waiting. Sonata and Adagio looked at her curiously. Celestia look up at them. "Welcome in you three, take a seat." The three did just that. "This is Miss Silent Dawn, I wanted you three to show her around today." She gave Silent a school schedule and dismissed the four of them. "So, are you that new girl Aria was talking about yesterday?" asked Sonata. Silent nodded her head. "Well, I'm Sonata and this is Adagio." Silent smiled in greetings. Adagio and Sonata looked at her with confusion. "Uh, I forgot to mention that she's mute. She can't talk and uses a little notebook." Aria explained. "Oh, then why didn't you say so Ari." Sonata said with a giggle. They stopped by the first door. Mr.Cranky was in there instructing math. Aria opened the door. The class stopped what their doing and look up. "This is math class and that teacher's name is Mr.Cranky. Everyone this is Silent Dawn, the new student of CHS." The whole class waved while Mr.Cranky looked on angry that his teaching was interupted. Fluttershy, already in the class waved at her with a smile. They head to the Science lab next. There they spotted Sunset Shimmer. As usual the class looked up. "This is the Science Lab and Mrs.Matilda's classroom. She's married to Mr.Cranky." Even though I don't know what she sees in him. He's more grouchy than me and that says a lot. Unlike Mr.Cranky, Mrs.Matilda went to greet Silent. "We'll hello, Miss Dawn. It's a pleasure to meet you." Sunset look up from what ever science project she's been working on and gave Silent a little wave. Silent waved back. They then went to history, which is Aria's first period. She shares the class with two other Rainbooms, Rarity and Applejack. Ms.Inkwell was doing a lesson on the Civil War. After that they head to Home Ed class. They were in there making what looks like cupcakes. Pinkie Pie was in there already done making hers. When she seen Silent, she went over and gave her one. Sonata pouted as she look at the cupcake, which appeared to be red velvet. "Awe, why can't I have a cupcake." Pinkie patted her on the head. "For the new girl only,Sonny! Besides I have to give the rest to my partners." She pointed her thumb at Flash Sentry and Golden Harvest, who already taken a few of them. She looked back at Silent, who was eyeing the treat suspiciously. "Come on, Si! I haven't put anything weird in it, just look at Flash." She pointed at the yellow skinned boy, who already down three. Her and the Sirens watch as Silent slowly put the treat in her mouth. Her eyes lit up with delight. She smiled as she ate the rest. Aria watched her with a small smile at how cute she look. She quickly frown when the others in the room stared at her. She glared at them. "I was thinking about something." She explained. Pinkie giggled shaking her head. She definitely have something to talk with the rest of her friends; especially Fluttershy. The Dazzlings then showed her the gym. On the door was the poster for the Friendship Games. Silent and even the Sirens paused to look at it. The date was the end of this month and it looks like they're competing against a preppy private school. They open the door and step into the gym. It looks like they are getting ready to play dodge ball. The team captains were Rainbow Dash and Lightning Dust. They were both glaring at each other. Coach Will look at them and raised is hand to pause the game. "Well, it looks like someone new visiting Coach Will today." He stand up from his chair and walk over to greet Silent. He held out a muscular hand for her to shake. "Coach Will's the name, Coaching students the game." Silent shook his hand not letting his loud gruff voice get to her. They went out the gym before they heard the whistle blow. After they finished the tour, Aria asked Silent if she can see her schedule. On it, she got English 11 in first period, Algebra 2 in second, Sonata's period, Biology in third, Adagio's period, First Lunch, the same lunch period the Dazzlings have, US History in fourth, Art in fifth, Aria's period, and finally Home ED 2. She gave the schedule back. The other two already went back to class. "I'll see you around in lunch and art. Do you know were you going?" Silent nodded her head. Aria look around to see if anyone was watching and gave Silent a quick hug. Then they both went separate ways. In what feels like eons, its now lunch time. They were serving hamburgers with a choice of bowl of fruit salad or an apple, fries and a choice of milk. There's also a line for pizza and a salad bar. She chooses pizza as always. She sat at her usual spot at her usual spot with her sisters, near the window. She mentally sighed at the empty table. Adagio spoke first as she swallowed her mouthful of salad. "That new girl seems interesting." She began. Sonata nodded with agreement. "And she seems so nice. If she's going to be our first friend it will be even better." Aria remembered something and thought of an idea."You know, since we might be living in the streets, I got a better idea. When she starts to warm up to us, we could ask if we could stay at her place. I mean think about it. She's got a three bedroom house and she's been living there alone." The other two's eyes light up with hope. Aria look across the cafeteria to find Silent walking up to them "Look, here's she comes now." She pull out the seat beside her and pat it. Silent instantly sat in it. She only got a small salad on her tray. She pulled out her notebook and pencil. They heard shock whispers around them but ignored them. Aria stared at her small salad, smaller then average. "What's wrong, not hungry?" Silent shook her head. "How's the new school, so far?" She wrote on her notebook and show her. "So far, so good", it read. Adagio and Sonata read over her shoulder. "You use a notebook to communicate? That neat!" Sonata explained. "Don't you mute humans also use sign language?" Adagio asked. Silent wrote something else on the notebook. "I think it's too hard, so I preferred a notebook." The yellowed skinned siren nodded her head. "Ah, I see." Now comes the tricky part. Aria gazed at Silent. "You see us as friends right?" Silent gave a puzzle look back and nodded her head." Well, you see we got until tomorrow to move out of our place and I'm wondering if we could stay at your place. All three of us can get a job and help you out at your place." Silent hesitate for moment. Then for what feels like hours, she nodded her head. She wrote in her notebook and showed them. "Well, of course! I've been looking for roommates, anyway! Fluttershy always tells me to be kind" All three sirens look at the notebook, then slowly looked at Silent with tears in their eyes. Sonata slowly got up and wrapped Silent in hug, quietly sobbing with happiness. Adagio and Aria did the same minus the sobbing. They haven't even notice the entire cafeteria starring at them. > Ch.4: New Roommates > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Silent went out of the door as the dismissal bell rang. Fluttershy was sitting with her friends at the base of the horse statue. Fluttershy saw her and beckoned her over. "How was school today?" She asked as Silent walked over. She sat with them and took out her notebook. She wrote,"It's been wonderful. Not as crowded as the on I'm from and full of friendly faces." Sunset Shimmer grinned,"Well, I'm glad it's working out great for you." Rainbow Dash spoke,"I saw you on tour with The Dazzlings this morning. Have they been giving you trouble?" Silent shook her head. The others except Sunset gave her a look of disbelief. "No way! Seriously!? Not even Adagio?" Pinkie asked in shock. Silent shook her head again. Pinkie Pie grabbed a water bottle from her hair and take a big swig from it. Silent look at her with shock. How did she fit that in her hair? Sunset whispered to Silent,"It's best if you don't question Pinkie or you might get a headache. Trust me." They then said their goodbyes and head separate ways for home. Fluttershy told her she'll meet her at work tonight. Instead of heading home straight away, she heads for Wally World. She needs some more groceries to support her new roommates. She arrived at the supermarket and grabbed a shopping cart. She heads to the food section. She first grab a few toaster strudels. She was surprised to find strawberry cream cheese flavor and Boston cream. She decided to make beef stew and toast, so she grabbed a few cans and a loaf of bread. She also grabbed blackberry jam and a jug of sweet tea. She also went to the bathing aisle and grab a few supplies. She went to the cashier and paid for the goods. She opened the door to her house and step inside. She then put her toaster strudels in the freezer. She then got out a pot and pan and turn on two of the burners. She was frying the toast when she heard knocking on the door. She rushed over and opened it. The three sirens were standing there with backpacks full. Silent led them in the house. The three sat on the couch as she resume her cooking. Sonata was sniffing the air. "Do I smell beef stew and toast?" Silent nodded with a smile. "Where do we sleep?" asked Adagio. Silent wrote something on her notebook and hand it to her. "Okay, there's two spare bedrooms and the couch can be turn into a bed." She turned to her sisters. "Which one of us getting the couch?" After a long pause, Aria raised her hand. "I'll take it. You two can have the bedrooms." Silent led them by the hallway by the living room. She opened the smaller one first. Inside was a twin size bed with bedding already on it. The room also came with a nightstand and a small closet. "I'll take it!" shouted Sonata as she threw her book bag on the bed and flopped down on it. Silent smiled with laughter at her. Adagio shook her head. "You have to get to this, Silent. Sonata is almost worst than Pinkie Pie and I'm pretty sure she got a crush on her." she said with a smirk. Sonata was blushing furiously as she threw a pillow at Adagio. "Oh shut up and kiss Sunset!" she retorted. "Um, l..lets h..head t..to the other room." Adagio stuttered blushing, dragging a clearly confused Silent. They past the spare bathroom and head to the larger spare room at the end of the hallway. The bed was full sized and the closet even bigger. There's even a vanity set, smaller than her own with a small stool. Adagio looked around with a smile. She look back at Silent. She put down her bag and gave Silent a hug. "Thanks for doing this for us. Without your help, we probably be living on the streets." Silent smiled as to say "no problem." Adagio looked at her face with frown and slowly brushed her bangs away from her other eye. Silent felt her heart sank as Adagio's widened with horror. She seen the scars. Adagio sat her down on the bed and went out of the room. She came back with Aria and Sonata. "What's the big deal, Dagi? I was helping Silent with the cooking while ya'll went exploring the rooms.", questioned an irritated Aria. Adagio sat beside Silent and beckoning them closer. She brush her bangs back again. With wide eyes, Aria grabbed her face for a closer look rubbing the scars, while Sonata looked on with horror. Adagio hand Silent her notebook and pencil. "Tell us what happened to your poor pretty face." Silent froze with worry. Not wanting them to know what had actually happened she wrote; "I fell on something hard the other day, so don't worry about it. Come on, I have to finish dinner.'' She pocketed her notebook with a sigh and head back into the kitchen, while the others looked at each other with worry. Silent was surprised as she find the stew and the toast was mostly done. She got out a large plate and stack the slices of crispy bread on it. She sat it on the middle of the table. "Need help?" She looked behind and spotted Aria. She was wearing a smile. Silent nodded her head. Aria grabbed four bowls and spoons , while Silent grabbed four glasses and the tea. She even grabbed the blackberry jam. She grabbed four smaller plates and put a slice of toast each on each plate. She then spread the jam on each one. When they finished setting up the table, Aria shouted "Food's ready!" Sonata rushed to the table, while Adagio followed slowly. All four settle down and dig in. After the whole evening at the animal shelter, Silent went into her bathroom and turn on the small Jacuzzi. She took off her cloths and slowly sank in the warm, bubble-filled water. She stared at the small but numerous scars on her arms, slowly rubbing it. She wonder what her new roommates would react if they saw them. Silent knew she can't hide the truth from her new friends forever, just like Fluttershy can't with her friends. She just doesn't want to be reminded of him, of what he did. Her nightmares of him was enough as well as his gun. She kept it hidden in a safe she bought in her closet. She drained the tub and and put her PJ's on. She headed into the kitchen and pour a cup of milk. She slowly drink it as she look into the darkened living room. Aria was in there, sleeping with peace. Silent watch her with envy, oh how she wish she can sleep like that. But she can't. Every time she closes her eyes, her father was there invading her dreams. She headed back into her room and laid down on her bed. She tried to fight her sleep, but eventually sleep won. She was frozen on spot as a large hand strikes her in the face. She can't do nothing as she was thrown on her bed hard. She held her breath as the large hands enclose around her throat. She woke up as she was breathing heavily. She was laying paralyzed on her bed. Her fists were balled up so tightly her nails were making little crescent shaped prints on her palms. And she was sweating all over. She heard a knock on her bedroom door. She froze for a minute. "Silent, may I use your bathroom? I could use the other but i don't want to wake the others." Aria's voice spoke. Silent took deep breaths and slowly rose to her feet. She look at the clock. It was 12:30 in the morning. She slowly open the door and nodded her head. Aria looked at her with concern. "Are you OK? You look terrible." Silent nodded her head as Aria headed to her bathroom. She sat on her bed and hugged Stuffy tightly. The toilet flushed as Aria step out bathroom. She gazed at Silent with concern. "Nightmares?" Silent nodded her head. Aria looked around out the bedroom door and closed it. "May I lay down with you?" Silent pause for a second. She scoot aside as the water bed jiggled and nodded her head. Aria locked the door and slowly slid in the bed next to her. She giggled as the bed jiggles. "I didn't know this is a water bed." She gazed at Silent who was still frowning. "Do you want to talk about it?" Aria asked softly. Silent shook her head, staring at the wall. Silent felt Aria's hand on her own. She slowly gazed at it. "You know? You can tell me anything if you want." Her eyes gazed at the notebook and pencil on the nightstand and grabbed them. She slid the notebook towards Silent and slipped the pencil into her grasp. Silent slowly opened the notebook with a sigh and wrote "I'll tell you about it, but not right now. It's too late." Tears fall slowly from her face. Aria closed the note book and set it aside. She then wrapped her arms around the girl and held her tight. She wiped the tears from her face with her thumb. "Whatever it is, I promise I won't let it hurt you, OK?" Silent nodded her head. She rested her head against her friend's chest, listening to the steady beat of her heart. "Now close your eyes, I'll be right here with you." She soothed, while running her hand through her hair. Silent slowly closed her eyes and went to a somewhat peaceful sleep. Aria sighed as she brushed her bangs back and stared at the scars on Silent's face. She knows they're not from a bad fall. It looks like someone smashed something across her face. She then notice something off. She slowly rose her sleeve from one of her arms too look at the bare creamy brown skin. What she saw broke her heart. Silent's arm is decorated with burn scars from what looks to be cigarettes. She checked her other arm, even more scars. From her shoulders to her wrists. This is something she have to tell Adagio tomorrow. She slowly laid her down and tuck her in. She wrapped her arms around Silent protectively and soon fell asleep as well. > Ch.5:The Truth Had Been Spoken. > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "My my my, what do we have here?" A mocking voice woke Aria the next morning. She slowly open her eyes to find herself curled up protectively around Silent. The girl was still fast asleep in her grasp. She smiled for a moment, looking at the sleeping girl. She slowly turn to the now open door. Adagio was standing at the doorway with a smirk. Sonata was standing there with her phone pointing straight at them. Aria hopped out of bed with a yelp. "How the heck you two got in here. I thought the door was locked." Sonata held up a screwdriver and a bobby pin, grinning like an idiot. "That one game Pinkie Pie had, taught me wonders." She said. "Oh, and I want to remind you. Pinkie texted me and said that it was Teacher's Workday. So great news, School's close!" Adagio spoke up, "So what are you doing in Silent's bed?" Aria was blushing madly. "I came in here to use her bathroom. She had a nightmare." Sonata smirked. "Unlikely story," she waved her phone. "Although, you two looked awfully cute." She ran out of the room before Aria did anything. Aria turned to Adagio with a concern look. "Adagio, I think you need to come over here for a look." Adagio did as she told as the purple skinned siren gently grabbed the hold of Silent's arm and slowly rolled up the sleeve. Adagio's magenta eyes went wide with shock as to what she had seen. Silent stirred and slowly woke up. Her blue eyes gazed up to the two girls hovering her. She froze when she saw what they were looking at. Aria was holding one of her arms with the sleeve pulled up as Adagio looked on with shock. She then pulled her arm from her grasp and quickly pulled her sleeve down. Adagio sat beside her resting her hand on her shoulder. "Silent, these scars on your arms aren't definitely from a fall. Someone put them there." Aria sat on her other side. "Tell us Silent. Why exactly did you moved here? And is this the cause of your nightmare?". Silent sat still as she starts to shake. She walked up to the door and close it. She sat back down and grabbed her notebook. She turned it on a fresh, blank page. She shakily picked up her notebook and wrote, "I'm going to tell you the whole truth. Just promise not to tell anyone." Both sirens nodded. Silent sighed and continued. "My story begins here in Canterlot. I was born here. I grew up in the outskirts of this city. I was born mute and my father didn't take that very well. He started to yell and beat on my mother. " She paused as tears starting to welled up in her eyes. Aria wrapped her arm around her and said softly, "Please, continue." Silent nodded. "When I turned five he turned his attention to me. He started to do horrible things to me. Even worst than what he did to my mother. I had cuts and bruises all over. The teachers at school thought I played rough at home, so they think nothing of it." Both of the sirens had a look of anger in their eyes. Silent continued; "I turned 6 when I met Fluttershy. I was being picked on by bullies and she stood up for me. After the bullies left she sat down and we began to talk." Suddenly the tears began to fall down as she wrote; "Then one weekend after my father left to gamble with his friends, I walked up to my parents' room to find my mother dead. I shook her over and over, but she just wouldn't wake up." She closed her notebook and buried her face in her hands. Aria and Adagio wrapped the crying girl in their arms and hold her tightly. Sonata open the door with a plate of toaster strudels. "Breakfast!" She paused as she watched the scene in front of her. She set the plate on the nightstand and hopped on the bed beside them. "What's going on?" She asked, eyes on the crying girl with concern. "Why is Silent crying?" Adagio handed her the notebook. Sonata read it as the others continued to comfort Silent. Sonata finished as she felt her heart ripped in half. She slowly slid over towards her, wrapped her arms around Silent and buried her face into her shoulder. "I'm so sorry Silent." She wept. Aria was brushing her hair soothingly, as Adagio rest her head on Silent's own. They eventually broke away from the hug as Sonata wiped the tears from her eyes. Aria handed Silent her notebook back. "Why don't you finished, we'll eat after." Silent nodded her head as she continued. "After the funeral, my father and I moved to Los Pegasus, so he can gambled more. I eventually lost contact with Fluttershy. I always came home from school so hungry. My father always comes home very late and the only time he needs me is to be his ashtray. He always come home drunk. Sometimes he drinks at home. When I turn thirteen, I became his personal slave. He told me even if I can't talk, I can at least be useful for something else. He made me cook and clean. If I did something wrong, I get hit. Sometimes he hit me because he felt like it. I never even have my birthday celebrated." "The only time I had time to go outside was at night. I always steal a little cash from him and sneak out my bedroom window. I use the money for everything, to buy food, more notebooks, and even a phone. That's how I contacted Fluttershy. She's been trying to help me escape forever. Then one day, he got even worst and smashed a beer bottle against my head. I ran to my room, locked it and told Fluttershy. She called the bus and help me escaped. If it wasn't for her and her family, I would've never escaped. I considered them my only family now." She closed the notebook and grabbed a toaster strudel. She felt a hand on her own. "It's a good thing you did escaped." She look up at Aria who gave her a sincere smile. "That's right." Adagio agreed. "Then we wouldn't have met the most wonderful person." Sonata chimed in, "Yeah! If we didn't met you, we would've been living on the streets by now." Aria tuck a hair behind her hair. "Just don't worry about what your father had said to you. It doesn't matter if you can talk or not, your still beautiful and smart. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise." They all gave her a group hug. Silent stayed still in their embrace, her eyes close for a moment. They then broke apart and ate their breakfast still cuddled up with one another. > Ch.6:A Day At The Mall > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- After Breakfast, the four of them decided to watch TV for a bit. They fixed the couch back and sat down on it. Silent sat between Aria and Adagio and grabbed the remote. She flipped through each channel and stopped on the show called Gravity Falls. Stan was on a boat moving towards another boat. The guy was about to propose to the girl, when he showed up. "Wanna hear a joke? Here It goes: My ex wife still misses me, but her aim is getting better!" There was an awkward pause. "Her aim is getting better! ....Get it? Because marriage is terrible. The three sirens look at each other and burst out laughing. "That joke never gets old!" Sonata wheezed. Adagio turned to the others and spoke up. "I know what we can do today," Silent turned off the TV and looked at her. The yellow skinned girl grinned. "We can go to the mall!" The rest nodded and grinned. "That a great idea, Dagi!" Exclaimed Sonata. They all turned to Silent. Aria smirked at her. "So, what do you think Silent?" Silent thought for a moment and nodded her head with a smile. She excused herself before she got up to go to her room to get ready. As she got her pajamas off, she heard a knock. Knowing who's there, she opened the door and let Aria in. "Thanks." She said with a smile. Her smile dropped when Silent turned her back to grabbed some cloths. The burn scars are even worse on her back. She slowly walks up towards her. Silent look back suddenly feel ashamed. Aria hugged her tightly, resting her chin on her shoulder. "Don't be ashamed, Silent." She breathed, rubbing her back with her thumb. "I know these scars are bad, but they made you who you are today." She gazed into the beautiful icy blue eyes. "Don't ever forget that, Okay?" Silent nodded with a smile and hugged her back. They stayed that way for a moment until eventually broke away from the hug. They resume putting on their cloths. They fixed their hair and made their way back to the living room. Adagio and Sonata was on the couch waiting for them. They head out the front door as Silent locked it. They then headed down the street towards town. They paused as they look across the street towards a boutique. "Does anyone want to say high to Rarity while we're here?" Adagio asked. The others nod their heads. They headed towards the crosswalk and waited as Adagio pushed the button. They waited until the traffic stopped. They then cross the street. The bell to the shop ringed as they step inside the boutique. "I'll be right with you in a minute, darlings!" A posh voice answered. The white skinned girl walked out from the back room with a measuring tape wrapped over her shoulders and wearing glasses. She paused as she saw who enter the shop. She suddenly grinned. Rarity took off the measuring tape and glasses and sat them aside. She walked up towards them. "Hello darlings, how may I help you today?" She gazed at Silent with a look of surprise. "Nothing much, we were just heading towards the mall, when I thought we stop by this place for a while." Adagio answered. Rarity's eyes lit up at the word mall, but quickly had a look of disappointment. "I wish I could go, but I have orders to fill out." She led them to the back of the store. She gestured them to the table and start up on tea. As she waited for it to get done she sat down with them. "What have you girls been up to yesterday, and how are you doing Silent?" She began. Aria exchanged a questioning glance with Silent, who in turn nodded. "We have news to tell you about." She began. "We got kicked out of our own apartment yesterday." Rarity looked at them with sympathy. "You poor dears, did you find somewhere to stay?" Sonata nodded. "Yes, we quickly became friends with Silent here, and she offered us a place to stay." They gave Silent a grateful smile. Rarity grinned and patted Silent's hand. "You did a very great thing, darling. I know these girls did terrible things, but my friends and I had forgiven them. It's wonderful someone else besides ourselves offering them friendship." She got up and poured the tea into five teacups. She turn and gave them the tea. Silent pick up the cup and take a sip. She smiled as she tasted blackberry. She got out her notebook and wrote, "The tea is wonderful, Miss Rarity." Rarity smiled with a little blush on her checks. "Thank you, Silent." They soon finished and made their way toward the front. Adagio turned and smiled. "Thank you for the tea." Rarity smiled back. "It's no problem, and thanks for stopping by." She pushed Silent to the side. "And thank you again for helping these girls. It's very generous of you." She gave Silent a hug, who in return, happily hugged her back. They head out the door, while Rarity gave them a little wave. They soon made it to the mall. Adagio smiled and dragged Silent to a clothing store, while the other two followed behind. She picked out a shirt and shove the mute girl towards the changing room. She let the others in as well. "Silent, take off your shirt. I want to see how you look in this." Silent nodded and slowly took off her long sleeve shirt. Adagio looked in shock as she stared at her exposed skin. Sonata's face was even worst. They now know it's not her arms badly scared. Not a inch of her skin is freed from them. The only part wasn't covered in cigarette scars was her face. Adagio looked away, as she can't bare to look at it again. She gave Silent the shirt and sat down on the bench. Silent stared at her friend with concern. She put the shirt on which was a blue tank top with pink paw prints covering the front side. It was a perfect fit. She walked over, sat down beside her and and put a hand on her shoulder. Adagio gazed at her. Silent was gazing at her with a concern look. The siren embraced her. "It's not fair something like that happened to you." Tears poured down her face. "You didn't do anything wrong and you got punished for it. While we mind control a whole school with our songs and forgiven for it." She buried her face into her shoulder."I know we had our pendants brake and shunned by most of the peers, but that's nothing! But you got tortured only because you can't speak. It's not fair!" Silent hugged her back. The other two came over and gave both of them a hug. Adagio hold on tightly and sobbed in her shoulder. Silent gently rubbed her back. Adagio eventually broke free from the hug and wiped her eyes. Silent took her notebook out and wrote, "I know it isn't fair. But I stayed through it until I can escape. I know you did bad things, but you were punished enough. My father though, is a monster thorough and thorough. I will never forgive what he did." Adagio smiled. "I wouldn't forgive him either. For what he did to you it's unforgivable." She looked at the sleeve of the shirt. "Ah shoot, I made this shirt wet. Do you like this shirt." She asked Silent. The gold streak hair girl nodded. "I guess I'll pay for it." They spend a few more minutes in the store looking through the store until lunch time. Adagio paid for the shirt like she said and handed the bag to Silent. They headed towards the food court. Adagio asked if they want sushi and they nodded. They sat at a table as she went to the sushi place. Sonata snickered. Silent and Aria gave her a weird look. "Sunset Shimmer works at the sushi place." She giggled. Aria eyes went wide and she laughed as well. Silent was looking confused. Aria put her arm around her and exclaimed. "Adagio has this massive crush on Sunset." Silent nodded, completely understanding now. Adagio came back with Sunset in tow. They were chatting away as they were carrying bags of sushi. Sunset was wearing an apron with a cute green octopus on it and wearing a green pufferfish clipping in her hair. Silent understand what Aria was saying, as Adagio was blushing away. Both girls arrived at the table. Sunset grinned at Silent. "How are you doing Silent?" She wrote in her notebook. "Doing great." Sunset smiled. "Well that's good. I heard what you did. You did a very great thing And I would've done the same thing if I was in your shoes." Adagio blushed again as she sat down beside Sonata. Sunset set the bags down on the table. "I have to get back to my job. Sushi don't delivered themselves." She turned to Adagio. "It's so good to talk to you again, Adagio and I'll talk to the manager about getting you a job." She left making the other two giggled. Sonata wiggled her eyebrows. "Working with Sunset, Adagio?" Her sister glared at her. "You need to get a job too. Both of you." She turn her stare at Aria. Aria nodded her head in agreement. "True. It's not fair that Silent have to do all the work. We need to help support her. She help us so much, we need to return the favor." She gave Silent a side hug. "Besides, I heard from Dash that the video game shop need some help. I'll head over there tomorrow." Sonata sighed. "Alright." She turn to Adagio. "But that doesn't change the fact that your working with Sunset." She sang. Adagio rolled her eyes as she passed the bags around. Silent opened her bag and pulled out a box of sushi, chopsticks and packets of sesame oil. She open the box to find it full of sumeshi and sushi rolls. She opened the chopsticks and try to use it but struggled. She sighed and picked up a fork. After lunch they head towards the sporting store. Rainbow Dash was there shorting through the soccer balls. She turned and greeted them. " 'Sup!" She walked over and fist bumped them. She was wearing some sort of red sporting uniform with a baseball cap with her symbol on it. They talk for a few minutes and as they about to leave, Rainbow pat her on a back with a wink. Sonata exclaim that she wanted juice, so they head towards the juice bar. Applejack was there wearing a fruit theme uniform and a hair net. They wait in line as Trixie was in front of them waiting on her drink. After she got her drink, she look behind her and quickly ran away. "Howdy, what would you like to order." Sonata walked up. "Can I have a blueberry?" She look back at Silent. "What would you want?" She wrote something down on a page and ripped it. She handed it to Applejack. "Strawberry Lemon? OK." She look towards the other two. "What about you two?" Aria shook her head. "Nah, I'm good." Adagio ordered a plan apple. She took there orders and went into the back to make them. She glanced back at Silent. "Rarity text and told me what ya did. That was a mighty good thing too." Silent grinned back. She gave them their drinks. They walked away and sipped away at their drinks. Silent love the sweet taste of the strawberries mixed with the tanginess of the lemon. They finally left the mall and made their way back home. Aria kept glancing at Silent, who was sipping away at her drink. She was wearing a pair of shades she had bought. "Can I have a drink of that?" Silent glanced at her and gave her the drink. Adagio and Sonata watched with their jaws dropped. "I thought you didn't want any!" Exclaimed Sonata. Aria stared back at her. "I changed my mind." She said as she take a sip. > Ch.7:Friendship Games Part 1 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's been two weeks since the Sirens moved in with Silent. Sunset's manager agreed to let Adagio have a the sushi place. She became the cashier. After that, She and Sunset became very close friends. Aria took the job at Gameworld like she said. The video game store was across the street from Rarity's boutique. She restocks the store's supplies. Sonata took the longest to get a job. But eventually she told Pinkie Pie about it and soon she got a job at the diner Pinkie works at. They gave her a job as a busser. The four of them sat down at the table, eating meatloaf for dinner. Aria swallowed her mouthful of mashed potatoes and spoke up. "Tomorrow's the Friendship Games." Sonata gave her a questionable look as she sipped her glass of ice tea. "Do you know what's it's about?" The purple headed girl shrugged. "Apparently we have to compete with a rival school. Like math, spelling bee, art, sports and other stuff." Sweat was forming on the blue sirens face. "I can't do most of that stuff, what if I lose?" Adagio put a hand on her. "Just be yourself, you'll be fine." Silent nodded in agreement. Aria gazed at Silent with concern. "What about Silent? I know she won't be able to do some of that stuff. Like the Spelling Bee, for example." The other two shrugged. They picked up there dishes and put them in the sink. They sat on the couch as Adagio washed the dishes. Aria picked up the TV remote and flipped through the channels. She eventually put on a movie called "Brave". She glanced at Silent who was looking nervous. She and Aria had gotten closer the last two weeks and Aria started to have feelings for the mute girl. She took Silent's hand with her own. "Nervous about tomorrow?" She asked as she gently rubbed the back of her hand with her thumb. Silent nodded as she stared back at her. "Well, I am too. I never did anything like this before. But do you know what?" Aria gazed into her friend's eyes. "Just give it your best shot. You have us and you got other friends to help you through. We'll support you no matter what. And I know you'll do the same." Silent nodded with a smile as return her gaze to the movie. Adagio had finished the dishes and joined them on the couch. "Sunset said it's a two day event. Tomorrow we got school work stuff and the six winners from each school moves on to the next event, which is the next day. And it's the sporting event." She explained. Aria's phone chimed and she picked it up. "Rainbow had send me a text," She exchanged glances with the other girls. "We're competing with Crystal Prep." The next day they got up bright and early. They each took a quick shower and ate a quick breakfast. They then head out the door. As they got to the school, Rainbow Dash was there showing off her guitar skills to the CMC's. Suddenly one of her guitar string broke. "Are you serious?!" She sat down and rummaged through her book bag. "I don't have a spare either." She gazed up as Silent and the sirens approached. "What's up?" As she send a text to her friends. A pick up truck pulled up in the parking lot and Applejack hopped out. "See you later, Big Mac." As she walk up to the front stairs, Rainbow Dash rushed forward and grabbed Applejack by the shoulders. "Applejack, there's an emergency!" A look a concern appeared on the cowgirl's face. "What is it? Is it another monster from Equestria?" She glanced at the Sirens. "No offence, you three." They sighed. "None taken." Said all three of them at the same time. "No. It's even worst!" Rainbow Dash showed her the guitar. "One of the strings on my guitar broke!" Applejack face palmed as she groan. "Rainbow Dash, that's not an emergency." They heard the sound of someone in high heels and turn to see Sunset running towards them. Pinkie ran up from the other side. "I got your text, Rainbow Dash," she explained. "Did something came through the portal? Is Equestrian magic on the loose? Did Twilight came back with a problem only we can solve?!" Pinkie Pie rushed in front of her holding two green frosted cupcakes. "Has a giant cake monster covered all the cakes in the world with cake?!" She shouted as she shoved them into her mouth. "Uh, not exactly." Exclaimed Rainbow. Sunset stared at her confused. "Uh, I don't understand." Applejack interrupted her as she messed with the broken guitar string . "Well, Sunset, I was just tellin' Rainbow Dash here that a broken guitar string doesn't really qualify as an emergency." "It totally does!" Retorted Rainbow. Fluttershy and Rarity appeared as they heard the conversation. Rarity groan. "Really, Rainbow Dash! I was in a middle of sewing a very complex applique on my latest frock." Fluttershy was petting a very upset Angel Bunny. "And I was getting Angel's breakfast ready. I had to give him a carrot instead." Sunset stared at Rainbow Dash. "Why would you send all of us an emergency text for a guitar string?" Rainbow pointed back to the three freshmen sitting on the stairs. "Well, I was going to pony up and show our fans some awesome guitar licks, but I kinda need all six strings to do it. Got any extra?" All but Rainbow Dash and Silent groan. Sunset grabbed one from her backpack and gave it to her. "Here. But the school's not open yet. I'm pretty sure all of the music rooms are locked." "No problem," She explained as she replaced the string. "The acoustics in the hallway are perfect for power chords." She strummed the guitar. "Come on, let's go." All but Silent, Sunset and the Sirens went inside. Sunset shake her head as she rolled her eyes, smiling. Applejack paused and glanced back at them. "Are y'all comin'?" "I'll catch in a bit," She told. "I got something to do." Adagio added, "We're gonna wait until school starts." Applejack nodded and head inside to catch up with the rest. They sat down on the stairs as Sunset took out a book. Silent glance at the book curiously. The book got a symbol of a sun on the cover. Silent reached over and tapped Sunset on the shoulder. Sunset glanced up at her with a raised eyebrow. Silent pointed at the book questionably. "This is a magic journal. Everytime I write something in it, it sends a message back to another world." She explained. "You see, Silent, I'm not from this world. I came from another world filled with magical creatures. The Dazzlings told you some of it, correct?" Silent nodded her head. "The other world is mostly dominated by ponies; earth, unicorn, and pegasi. All three of them is ruled by two alicorn sisters, who's the combination of all three. They control the sun and the moon. I was a student of one of them. But I got so power hungry, wanting to be better than her. I betrayed her and escaped to this world." "I got enrolled in this school and became the biggest, baddest bully of this school. I destroyed friendships and relationships. Then the portal open again and I went back and stole a crown from one them. Then I became a demonic entity called Sun set Satan. I mind controlled half of the student body and almost blast Twilight and friends to death. But I got defeated by the magic of friendship and reformed." She sighed sadly. She shook her head. "Anyway, do you want to see how it works?" Silent nodded and leaned in to watch. Sunset open the journal to a blank page and wrote, "Dear Princess Twilight, how's life treating you in Equestria? Any cool new magic spells? Things have been quit since the Battle of the Bands. The Dazzilings have been reformed and accept the magic friendship. There's also a very special new student in CHS. Her name is Silent Dawn and she's mute. She moved into town two weeks ago. "We still pony up when we played music, which Rainbow Dash loves to show off. But I still can't grasp what it's all about. I would love to hear what you think about it when you get a sec. Your friend, Sunset Shimmer. There heads popped up when they heard a bus pulled up. It was a grey city bus. It pulled away to reveal a figure in a gray hoodie. They were wearing glasses and was holding a device. It reminded Silent of Ghostbusters. They walk up to the statue scanning it with the device as they felt around with their hand. Sunset stand up. "Hey! What are you doing?!" She shouted. The hooded figure looked around at them and quickly ran away. Sunset ran after her, the others followed behind. "Wait! Stop!" But the figure skidded and hopped on another bus. It drove away towards the city. They gazed after it. "Who was that?" She turn to the others. "And why are they messing around with the statue?" Added Sonata. Sunset sighed. "Who ever it was, they're up to no good. We have to tell the others." > Ch.8:Friendship Games Part 2 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- They gathered in the library as Sunset told what they saw to the others. "She was defiantly doing something to the statue," She finished. "Or was going to." Fluttershy gasped in fright. "Do you think she came through the portal from Equestria?" Sunset shook her head. "No, I would'a noticed that. I think she was from over here." "Plus, we saw her got on the city bus." Added Sonata. "Well, that's a relief." Commented Applejack as she put her feet on the table leaning back a little in the chair she sitting on. "The last thing we need is another magical so-and-so bent on world domination comin' over from Equestria." She added with a wink. Aria scowled at the farm girl. Where's the "no offence"? "Agreed." Added Rarity as she was sowing a piece of fabric. "I have no interest in a fight against the powers of evil magic. The wear and tear on my wardrobe is just to much to keep up with. Adagio spoke up. "Still, a mysterious figure snooping around the portal? Don't you wanna know what she was up to?" Fluttershy shutters. "I don't even want to guess." Rainbow Dash came up from behind a bookshelf as she announced, "Well you don't have to. Because I totally figured out who it was!" Pinkie popped in front of her showing random books. "Ooh, ooh! A nighttime statue cleaner? A magical portal maintenance maintainer?" She leaned close to her face. "A gardener?!" Rainbow shoved her away as she continued. "Seeing as she got off a bus from the city and got on a bus headed to the city, I'll bet they go to..." All but The Dazzlings, Sunset, and Silent finished. "Crystal Prep." Sonata raised an eyebrow. "You mean that school we're competing with?" Rainbow nodded her head. "Yep." She answered. "With the Friendship Games starting today, they'd totally try to prank us by defacing the Wondercolts statue." "Why would anyone take a bus all the way from the city for that?" Questioned Sunset. "Because the Crystal Prep Shadowbolts are our biggest rival? " answered Applejack. "Because that's just what the students at Crystal Prep would do?" Added Rarity. Rainbow Dash pulled out a yearbook. "Because even though they beat us at everything," She opened it to the sporting section. "Soccer, tennis, golf... They still have to gloat." Aria smiled. "It's a good thing Silent and us aren't competing." All but Silent and The Dazzilings stared at her. "Principle Celestia pulled us to the side as we got in. She said since Silent's predicament and Since we're new here we don't have to compete." She exclaimed. "But she said we could still watch and support you guys." They smiled as they nodded. Sunset added. "And it seems kinda silly to me." All but Silent and The Dazzilings gasped. "Silly?!" Rainbow scowled at her. "So I guess you think the Friendship Games are kinda silly, too." Sunset shrugged. "Well, it's not like we'll be fighting the powers of evil magic." Fluttershy put a hand on her shoulder. "No. We'll be fighting against a school full of meanies. Not everything has to be magical to be important." Sunset sighed. "Your right. I'm sorry. I know it's a big deal." Rarity scoffs. "That's putting it mildly, darling. They're still revamping the playing field in preparation." Adagio raised her eyebrow. "For what?" The ivory skinned girl shrugged. Sunset spoke again. "I just don't understand why there's this big rivalry. Aren't the "Friendship Games" supposed to be our two school getting along?" Applejack shrugged with a frown. "Well, it's kinda hard to get along with someone who beats you at everything." "Not anymore!" Shouted Rainbow Dash. "This time it's gonna be different." "What do you mean?" Sunset asked curiously. Rainbow Dash winked at her. "Oh, you'll find out." The Dazzilings and Silent were sitting on the bleachers in the gym with the rest of the students. Principle Celestia walked up on the stage to speak in the microphone. She cleared her throat. "As you all know, today, Canterlot High School will be hosting our fellow students from Crystal Prep Academy as we join together in the spirit of excellence, sportsmanship, and fidelity to compete in the Friendship Games." The students cheered unenthused, barely clapping. Principle Celestia continued. "Since the games happen every four years, I'm sure you're all curious what goes on." "You mean than us losing?!" Flash Sentry interrupted, standing up. Celestia glared at him as she finished. "And that is exactly why I've asked Rainbow Dash to come up and give you all a little, um... context." She moved aside as a marching band was heard behind the curtains. Rainbow Dash came up from behind the curtain, wearing a Wondercolt marching band uniform. She grabbed the Mic from Principle Celestia and step forward. "Thank you, Principle Celestia." She clears her throat as she spoke louder. "I know a lot of you might think there's no way we can beat a fancy school like Crystal Prep at anything." "Unless it a "losing to Crystal Prep" competition! 'Cause we are very good at that!" Pinkie shouted sarcastically. Rainbow groans in frustration. "And I know that CHS has never won the Friendship Games even once." Rarity gulped nervously. "Oh, dear. I hope this speech isn't motivational." Aria nodded in agreement. Rainbow Dash spoke louder, the matching band even louder. "Crystal Prep students are super athletic, super smart, and super motivated. But there's one thing they aren't. They aren't Wondercolts!" The marching band appeared behind her with a magenta hair girl in lead holding a baton. She started to sing how they fought magic twice and other schools can't make that claim. She continued to sing until the rest of the school join in. Adagio, Aria, and Silent didn't join in. Silent look on in shock as Rainbow Dash was sprouting wing, pony ears, and longer hair into a ponytail as she floats in a blue sparkly glow. They met with her after the prep rally under the stairs. Fluttershy was the first to congratulate her. "Rainbow Dash, that was amazing! Even I feel like we can!" Rarity nodded her head with agreement. "I feel like my school pride is at an all-time high!" "Is anyone else wonderin' how Dash ponied up without playin' her guitar?" Asked Applejack, as she motioned her fingers like she's playing it herself. Silent nodded in agreement. She doesn't even know what ponying up really is. Before she got out her notebook to say anything, Rainbow Dash spoke up proudly. "I know right? It's probably because I'm so awesome!" "Maybe." Agreed Sunset Shimmer. "I mean, you are awesome, but there's gotta be more to it, right? It's just seems so random." "Well," Spoke up Vice Principle Luna behind her. "It could be nice if you girls could get a handle on it. We'd like to keep magic as far away from the Friendship Games as possible. We don't want to be accused of cheating." She warned. Rarity scoffs. "We don't need magic to beat those hoity-toity Crystal Preppers." All but Rarity, Sunset, Luna, Silent and The Dazzilings agreed. Rarity giggled. "Still," put in Luna. "The Friendship Games are serious business. We don't want any surprises. Especially the kind that would cause us to forfeit. Sunset Shimmer, you came here from a world of magic. Perhaps you can get to the bottom of our magical development." Sunset nodded as she walked off. "I'll do my best." Adagio walked up to her. "I'll help you out, Shimmer." Sunset stared at her best friend in the eyes. "Thanks. I would like that." They both blushed furiously. Rainbow Dash cleared her throat to get their attention. "Okay. I don't know what's that about. But does anybody have any guesses what the events are going to be?" Pinkie Pie grabbed a random cake and pie. "Pie eating? Cake eating?" She gasped as she shoved them both into her face. "Pie-cake eating?!" They rolled her eyes at her. "They won't even let us see what they're doin' to the field." Answered Applejack as she shakes her head. "You think they'd at least tell competitors what they're competing in." Sonata shrugged. "Maybe it's a surprise? Like that mystery lunch meat." They all shutter at that. "It could be anything." Fluttershy said. "Anything?!" Asked a very panicking Rarity. "How will I pick the right outfit?!" "I really want to help," Sunset said. "But I think Adagio and I better go focus on figuring why Rainbow Dash ponied up. See ya later!" She left the room along with Adagio. "And I'm going to get fresh air outside on the front stairs." Added Aria. She turned and held out a hand for Silent."Coming with me?" Silent nodded and took her hand. The others watched with shock as they left. "Sonata?" Asked Rainbow Dash. "Yes?" Answered the only siren left in the room. "Can you tell us, what the hay just happened with your sisters?" Sonata shook her head, watching Pinkie licking the mess from her face, blushing. "Nope!" > Ch.9:Friendship Games Part 3 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aria and Silent walked outside of the front of the school and sat down on the top of the stairs. "So, what do you think about all this?" Aria asked her friend beside her. Silent wrote something down in her notebook. "Stressful. What is this "pony up" thing everyone is talking about?" "Do you know that trick Dash did at the prep rally, with the pony ears and all that?" Silent nodded. "That's what they called it. All six of them can do it but only Rainbow and Fluttershy grows wings. Me and my sisters did something similar to it, but only when we tried to take over the world." Silent wrote something down in her notebook. "I know you told me about it one time, but why did you three do it?" Aria sighed and looked at her hands. "We just wanted to go home. I know our methods of doing it is wrong, but we had no choices. We did something bad from where we from and we wanted to apologize." Aria gazed at Silent with a soft smile. "But that's in the past. I don't want to go back if that means leaving you." She took Silent's hand and look into her eyes. "You did so much for me and my sisters despite of what you had been through. And you made us feel like we belong somewhere. We don't even need our magic anymore." Silent smiled back and gave her a hug. Aria smiled bigger and hug her back even harder. The embrace lasted for a few minutes until they heard the sound of multiple buses pulling up. They break apart and gazed towards the parking lot. Multiple large black buses had arrived with yellow and purple accents. On the sides were the letters S and B. Students filed out from them, all wearing red, purple and blue uniforms. The girls skirts had plaid patterns on them. "Huh, that must be the Crystal Prep Students." Aria commented. Two adult women followed behind them. One was tall, blue skinned, and with hair in different shades of magenta. She was wearing a small pair of glasses and had a snooty vibe from her. Beside her was a smaller women who was about Vice Principle Luna's size and pink skinned. Principle Celestia and Vice Principle Luna rushed out the front door to greet them. "Vice Principle Luna can help your students get settled if you'd like me to show you around, Principle Cinch. There have been quite a few changes since your last visit." Celestia told the blue skinned woman. Principle Cinch smirked. "Oh, yes, Principle Celestia. I'm sure that would be fascinating." She said in a thick British accent. Vice Principle Luna hugged the pink skinned woman. "Oh, it's always such a pleasure to see you, Dean Cadence. Even if it means another defeat." Dean Cadence chuckled. "Thank you, Vice Principle Luna, but I hear it's not going to be so easy this time." A tan skinned girl rushed past them. "Coming through!" Aria gasped in shock as a familiar looking girl stepped out as she bumped in another girl. "Seriously?" Asked a blue skinned girl with purple hair with pink streaks. A yellow skinned girl with purplest red and green streak hair was beside her. "Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to." The Twilight double apologize. She groans as she turn to the yellow girl. "Oh, sorry. Why don't you go ahead?" The other girl folded her hands together and pressed them against her cheeks with a smile. "You are such a sweetie!" Her mood suddenly switched as she glared at her. "I am watching you!" She sourly said in a hush voice. Aria took Silent's hand as she dragged her inside. "We have to tell the others!" She opened the room where she heard music playing. Their friends paused what they're doing and glanced at them. Adagio walked up towards them. "Aria, what happened? You look like you just seen a ghost." Rarity had somehow pulled out a rack of cloths. "Rarity, what'd you go an' do?" Questioned Applejack. Rarity rushed over and put a few outfits on all of them. "Well, I had a little time on my hands, and since we don't know what the Friendship Games' events are, I made a few options for uniforms!" Each of the girls were wearing different types of outfits for different things, including the four who isn't participating in the Games. Silent was wearing a tank top and shorts. She hid behind Aria, terrified for what the others might see on her skin. "You know us three and Silent aren't competing, right?" Exclaimed Adagio, who was wearing a hula dancer outfit. Rarity smiled at her sheepishly. "Whoops! Sorry about that, Darlings." Sonata who was wearing a surfer outfit smiled at Rarity. "That's alright. Even I forgot." Rainbow Dash was looking at her own outfit. "You really didn't have to do this." Rarity smiled as she pulled out a dress. "I know." Applejack stared at her. "No. You really didn't have to." Rarity giggles. "I know!" "Uh, Rarity, these outfits are great, but why would you put so much time and effort into clothes we might not even wear?" The apple farmer asked her friend worriedly. "Your gonna exhaust yourself before the games even start." The white seamstress waved her hand as she scoffs. "Oh, pff. Kch. Fff. Ts! Don't be silly, Darling!" She exclaimed. "Putting effort into cloths is what I lived for, and spending time on my friends filled me with energy!" Just like Rainbow, she started to pony up. All but Rarity watches with amazement. Sunset smiled. "And magic, too, I guess." She stared at Silent with concern. "Are you alright, Silent? Why are you hiding behind Aria?" They all turn to the scared girl. She slowly step out behind her and tried to cover up her arms. Sunset glanced closely at her arms with a raised eyebrow. She was about to ask about the markings when Rarity suddenly start to loose energy with her magic being sucked out. She fell onto the floor exhausted as the others helped her up. "Actually, Applejack, now that you had mention it," she gasped, out of breath. "I suppose I could use a tiny break." She faints as Applejack catches her. "I told you." The door opens and the Twilight Aria and Silent spotted appeared. All but Aria and Silent gasped. "Twilight?" Sunset step forward, smiling with hope. "No freaking way!" Exclaimed Sonata, who put her hands on her head. Twilight gazed at them surprised. "Uh, yes?" Applejack smiled. "Well, I'll be. You shoulda told us you were comin'" Rarity who had recovered, glanced up and down at her outfit. "Darling, those glasses. What are you wearing? It so...severe." Twilight glanced at her confused. "My uniform?" Fluttershy glanced at her curiously. "Your uniform for what?" The purple skinned girl answered. "For...Crystal Prep. But why does everyone at this school knows who I am?" "Did you just say "Crystal Prep"? Asked Rainbow Dash. A green and purple dog popped out of Twilight's backpack, barking happily. Silent smiled at the cute puppy. Rarity and Fluttershy gasped happily. "Spike!" Twilight look at them with shock. "You know my dog's name, too?" They turn to see Principle Celestia who was showing the room to Cinch. "And our music program has especially taken off." She gasped when she saw the Crystal Prep student. "Twilight?" The girl had a look of fright. "This is getting ridiculous!" "I must apologize for the curiosity of my prized student." Principle Cinch exclaimed. Principle Celestia stared at her. "Your student?" "The smart ones are always curious." She put her hand on her shoulder to pull her away. "I'll return her to check in with the rest of her classmates." Principle Celestia stood dumbfounded as both of them walked away. She glanced at her students in the room. "I didn't know Twilight had a twin sister." Pinkie Pie spoke up. "She doesn't! That Twilight is obviously the Twilight from this world since it couldn't be the Twilight from the pony world since the Twilight from the pony world doesn't go to Crystal Prep or wear glasses." She put her fingers around her eyes like glasses. The others stared at her. "Never mind." Principle Celestia said as she walked away. Sonata stared at Pinkie. "Wow! How did you know all that?" The pink girl shrugged. "Just a hunch." They walked out of the room and into the hallway as they got their normal cloths on. Silent secretly sighed with relief. "I can't believe our world's Twilight goes to Crystal Prep!" Fretted Rarity. Rainbow Dash gazed at her friend. "Your saying that Twilight's gonna play against us? She'd never do that!" "Our Twilight wouldn't." Fluttershy corrected. "Our Twilight is a princess in Equestria and an expert in friendship magic!" Shouted Sunset angrily. "And if she was here, we'd have already figured out why magic is randomly popping up during pep rallies and costume changes." She took a deep breath. "Sorry. I'm just frustrated that I haven't heard back from her." Adagio put a hand on her shoulder. "That's alright. You were in a lot of pressure." Applejack nodded. "She's a princess in Equestria. Probably got problems on her own to deal with." Rarity nodded in agreement. "We certainly can't expect her to drop everything and pop through the portal. Especially if it's to deal with something as minor as a few pony ups." "But they aren't minor!" The former unicorn argued. "Magic came into this world when I stole Twilight's crown." She crossed her arms with guilt. "It's taken a lot for me to earn everyone's trust. If we have to forfeit the games because I can't keep it under control..." She paused and leaned against the wall. "Oh, Sunset, I'm sure you'll be able to figure things out." Fluttershy encouraged. Applejack nodded, smiling. "You're the one who helped us understand what's goin' on with the sirens." Sunset stared at her sadly. "I guess. But Twilight was the one who really figured out what we needed to defeat them." Rarity walked over and brush a stray hair from her face. "But don't you remember, darling? What we needed to defeat them was you." Sunset sighed as she smiled. "All right." All but Silent cheered. The creamy brown girl smiled encouragingly at her. "Come on, guys!" Cheered Rainbow Dash as all but Sunset walked away. "Let's see if we can find any info about the events and come up with a strategy." She glanced back at Sunset. "You comin', Sunset?" "I'll... catch up with you guys in a bit." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Silent and The Dazzilings return home, exhausted for the day. Full from the party food they decided to lounge on the couch. "That was some party Pinkie threw." The rest nodded in agreement. "I can't believe that Twilight won the first round. I thought Sunset had it controlled." Adagio complained. "But it seems her classmates aren't that happy about it though." Aria added thoughtfully. "But what is that weird device around her neck?" Questioned Sonata. "I saw it suck the magic from Pinkie as she pony up." Adagio put her hand on her chin thoughtfully. "It does seem kind of fishy. That Principle Cinch doesn't seem right either. Did you see how her school acted after she spoke? Both schools were getting along too." "I don't like that Sour Sweet girl. I talk to her once, she seems so sweet at first then her personality change like that." Aria snapped her finger. She glanced at Silent. "Were you alright, Silent. You were so frightened when Sunset saw your exposed skin." Silent nodded smiling at her. "All righty, girls. Let's go to bed early. I'm afraid well have to get up really early if we want to support our friends tomorrow." Adagio said. The rest nodded in agreement. As Silent head to her room, she was surprise to see Aria following her. The purple girl smiled sheepishly as she scratched her head. "I'd figured you didn't want to be alone tonight. So if it's okay with you.." Silent smiled and gestured her in. "Okay. Thanks." She said as the both embraced each other. > Ch.10:Friendship Games Part 4 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Silent and her friends gathered outside behind the school. They were getting ready for the second part of the Friendship Games. Rainbow Dash and Sunset were wearing motor cross outfits, Pinkie Pie and Rarity were wearing skating outfits, and Applejack and Fluttershy were wearing something for archery; all thanks to Rarity herself. Silent and the sirens were there to support them. "Go out there and show those bitches, who's boss!" Sonata exclaimed, clinching her fist with a smile. The other's gazed at her in shock. "What language!" Gasped Fluttershy. The blue siren just shrugged. "This fanfic is Rated T, why can't I swear? Besides, those Crystal Preppers deserved it" Pinkie Pie walked over to her. "Deadpool would be so proud." She said giving her a hug. Sonata smiled and hugged back as the others laugh. Silent and The Dazzilings soon went to sit in the Wondercolt's bleachers as their team went into the fields. "Welcome, everyone to the Friendship Games tricross relay race!" Dean Cadence announced. The crowd went wild. "In this event, our qualifying competitors will face off in archery, speed skating, and finally, motor cross." She added as the motor cross riders start their engine's Silent looked on, impressed. Her old school never had any of these things, only normal sports. "So, if the competitors ready..." she blows an air horn. Silent winced, covering her ears. Applejack and Fluttershy rushed ahead and, each grabbing a bow and a bag of arrows. Sour Sweet and Twilight did the same. "Each competitors must hit bullseye before their teammates can start the next leg of the race." Sour Sweet hit the target with three arrows, with one hitting the bullseye. The Shadowbolts cheered loudly. Fluttershy looked away as shakily aim her bow and arrow. She shot it hitting the bullseye as Sour Sweet watched, surprised. "Nice!" Exclaimed Aria. It was Applejack and Twilight's turn. The sirens winced as Twilight face~planted on the ground as she leaped over the hay bale. The time seems to slow down as Applejack took a deep breath and shot her bow. The arrow hit bullseye. The bell dings as Cantorlot cheered loudly. Pinkie Pie and Rarity took off in lead. "And Canterlot is off in an early lead!" Shouted Dean Cadence excitedly. "Well, that's just fantastic!" Shouted Sour Sweet sourly. "I'm sure glad I don't go to Crystal Prep." Commented Fluttershy. Applejack nodded in agreement. "You said it." "Whee!" Exclaimed Pinkie as skated. Meanwhile, Twilight is still struggling with her own arrows. "If CPA can't hit another bullseye soon, they'll be out of this race." Cadence announced. Twilight looks as if she was about to cry. "You're really bad at this!" Shouted Sugarcoat, watching from on top of a motorbike. Applejack gave Fluttershy her bow. "Ugh! I can't take anymore!" She went over to Twilight and helped her. Aria gasped. "What is she doing?!" It looks like Applejack is giving Twilight's some pointers, while Sour Sweet scoffs. Twilight hit the bullseye as the crowd cheers. "That's my girl!" Exclaimed Spike proudly. Silent's eyes widened in disbelief. Did that dog just talk? Sour Sweet had the same face as she backed away. Twilight hugged Applejack. The farmer pat her on the back. "See? I was telling the truth." She then started to glow and pony up. Suddenly, Twilight's device opened up and starting to suck the magic from her. Silent and the Sirens look on in horror. "Eh... what... are... you.. doing?!" Questioned Applejack as she struggles to pull away. "I don't know!" Twilight explained. She backed up and tripped over Spike, landing on the ground with a thud. "Canterlot only has two laps to go! But it looks like Crystal Prep is making up for lost time!" Exclaimed Dean Cadence. The Shadowbolts fans cheered loudly. "Come on!" Encouraged Rarity as she kicked Pinkie towards the finish line. Wondercolts fans cheered. "That was awesome!" Cheered Sonata. "What a finish!" Cadence explained. The magic had shot out from the device and created portals along the track. Giant plant monsters had appeared. The Sunset and Rainbow Dash had already start the motor cross part of the race. "Ahh!" Screamed Twilight as she spotted the plant monster. "Awesome!" Shouted Rainbow Dash as she was in lead. The plant monster roared and knocked Sunset Shimmer off the bike. "Sunset!" Gasped Adagio in horror. They watched as Rainbow looked back and turned around. She grabbed Sunset onto her bike. Rainbow Dash then started to pony up again. She floats and let Sunset take over. "We can still win this!" She shouted as she attacked the plant monster. Sunset crossed the finish line. "Canterlot wins!" Dean Cadence announced. The students of Canterlot stand up and cheered. Silent and the Sirens ran up to congratulate them. "Attention, students, please proceed to the gym." Dean Cadence ordered. The portals suddenly closed up and the plant monsters were gone. Adagio walked up towards Sunset. "Are you all right?" Sunset nodded. "More frightened than hurt." "Is everyone all right?" Asked Applejack, concerned. "Better than all right! We won!" Boasted Rainbow Dash. "Yeah, we won, but somebody could've been seriously gotten hurt. The magic is going haywire and I have no idea how to fix it!" Explained Sunset Shimmer. "Um, excuse me," Said a voice behind them. The girls turn around to find Twilight looking guilty. "I didn't mean for any of this to happen. I just wanted to learn about the strange energy from your school. I didn't know it was magic or... how it works." Rainbow walked over to her, still in her pony-like form. "That's okay. Neither do we." The device suddenly start to suck her magic as well. "Oh, no! Oh, no no no! Not again!" Exclaimed Twilight, panicking. Rainbow was struggling to free herself. But the device drained her magic and she was starting to wore out. "I'm sorry! It's just started absorbing energy on it's own! But I'm not sure how!" Fretted Twilight. Sunset glared at the purple girl. "What do you mean you don't know how?!" Echoed Sunset angrily. Another portal opened up. "It also causes these corresponding rifts to appear! I don't know how it works either." Added Twilight. "Is there anything you do know?! Like getting our magic back?! Or fixing the portal to Equestria?" Sunset angrily asked. "Uh, Sunset? She doesn't know about Equestria." Adagio tried to explained. Twilight looks confused and scared at the same time. "Equestria?". Sunset ignored her. "Your supposed to be so smart, but did you ever think that you shouldn't be messing around with things you don't understand?!" She yelled, forcing the device close. "But I wanna understand!" Silent, who can't stand the arguing, crouched down and covered her ears. She was starting to shake with tears in her eyes. Aria noticed this, crouched down and hold the scared girl tightly. "But you don,t!" Sunset snapped. "And worst of all, you put the lives of my friends in danger!" She snarled, her hand in a fist. "I'm sorry." Twilight whimpered, tears in her eyes. "I didn't mean to." She ran away, sobbing. Spike the dog chased after her. "Twilight, wait!" He shouted. Sunset left to talk with Principle Celestia for a bit. Aria was still calming Silent down. "It's okay. They've stopped now." She soothed. The rest look on in concern. "Is she all right?" Asked Applejack worriedly. Fluttershy started to shooed them away. "She got the Dazzlings to help her." She said as they left for the gym, leaving Silent alone with the Dazzlings. Adagio and Sonata crouched down to their level. "Did Twilight and Sunset scared you with their yelling?" Asked Adagio softly. "It remind you of him, didn't it?" Aria added. Silent nodded, taking deep breaths. The other two put their arms around her. All three of them surrounded her in a comforting group hug. After a few hours, they were on the fields again. The bleachers for the Wondercolts and the Shadowbolts were on opposite sides now. Aria has been holding Silent's hand, her thumb rubbing back of her hand comfortingly. "Since the score's tied, the final event will determine the winner of the Friendship Games!" Announced Dean Cadence. "Somewhere on the campus, a pennant from each school has been hidden." Vice Principle Luna added. "The first team to find their flag and bring it back wins." The Wondercolts team was looking somber. Sunset had a look of guilt on her face. While they where talking, Silent noticed Principle Cinch and the other Shadowbolts were surrounding Twilight. She got the Dazzilings attention and pointed at them. Sonata raised an eyebrow. "What are they doing?" Adagio knows what their doing. "I think they are manipulating Twilight to release the magic! We got to tell the rest." All four girls got up and made their way towards the team. Principle Cinch pushed Twilight forward, while they were singing, "Release the magic!" Twilight look down at her device and walked forward singing too. Fluttershy looked up and gestured towards the girl. Sunset watched in horror. "But the magic's what I really want to see." Twilight sang. She opened her device as white magic starting to shot forward. "Twilight, no!" Shouted Spike as he try to stop his owner. Sunset rushed over as well. "Now!" Shouted all the Shadowbolts. Suddenly, there was an explosion and white light was rushing forward. Principle Cinch look on in horror as the magic started to consume Twilight. She struggled, holding out her hand towards the principle. "Heeeeeeeeellllp... meeeeeee!" She screamed loudly as the magic fully consume her. Spike whimpered in fear. The bright magic dissappered to show a monster instead of Twilight. She got wings, horns, and bright goggles around her eyes like glasses. She laughed evilly as she looked at Sunset. " You were right! I didn't understand magic before, but I do now!" She blasted magic at the horse statue and it broke. A large portal appeared showing a town full of multi colored mini horses. Sunset gasped in shock. "Equestria!". The Twilight monster shot more magic, making more portals appear. The students started to run and scream. "Hey! Where are you going?!" Shouted Sunny Flare. Principle Cinch was quickly walking away. She stared back at her. "Anywhere to avoid that... monster! And I suggest you do the same!" Silent can't believe what she was hearing. That monster was her own student, which she help create! "Twilight!" Shouted Sunset. "You can't do this!" The monster ignored her. "So what? There's more magic there, and I want to understand it all!" She shot more magic, making a bigger portal. Students screamed as they started to fall down through it. The Canterlot students, even the Shadowbolts rushed to help them. Silent felt the ground crumbling underneath her and she started to fall as well. "Silent!" Shouted a horrified Aria. She felt a hand grasp her own and found herself dangling in the portal. She look up to find Aria dragging her onto a more level ground. Aria gave her a bone crushing hug as Silent stand up. "It's a good thing I saved you on time. I don't know what would happen if I didn't" Silent can hear the shakiness in her voice. Silent smiled and hugged back. "This isn't the way! I know you feel powerful right now, like you can have anything you want!" Sunset shouted. "I've been where you are, I've made the same mistake you are making! I put on a crown and, just like you, I was overwhelmed by the magic it contained! I thought it could get me everything I want!" She explained. Midnight cackled. "Oh, you're wrong. Unlike you, I can have anything I want!" Sunset picked up Twilight's device and raised it over her head. "No, you can't. Even with all that magic and power, you'll still be alone!" Sunset's friends starts to glow. "True magic comes from honesty! Loyalty! Laughter! Generosity! Kindness!" Silent watched her friend proudly. "I understand you, Twilight, and I want to show you the most important magic of all..." She explained as she float. She slam the device on the ground. It turned Sunset into an angel like creature. Adagio blushed, staring at her. "... the Magic of Friendship!" She added as she finished her transformation. Both of them shot magic at each other. Twilight was about to win, laughing with evil. "Twilight!" Shouted Spike, giving her puppy dog eyes. Twilight gasped. "Spike?" "Nooo!" Shouted Midnight Sparkle, as the Magic of FriendshipTM consumed her. Daydream Shimmer reached out her hand. "Take my hand, Twilight. Let me show you there's another way... just like someone did for me." Twilight nodded with tears in her eyes and took her hand. Magic blast everywhere, closing all the portals. Twilight was laying in a pit, in her normal form. "I am so sorry... I didn't mean for any of this to happen..." Sunset smiled as she walked up to her. "I know. And going from my own experience, they'll forgive you." Spiked barked happily as he kissed her. Twilight giggles. The next day they were sitting around the now broken statue. After that hole debacle yesterday, Principle Cinch was put in her place and Principle Celestia declare them all winners. "Still no word from Princess Twilight?" Asked Fluttershy. Sunset shook her head. "Not yet. But I may have figured out how magic works in this world." She explained. "We pony up when we show our true side to ourselves. I was so busy waiting for someone else to give me the answers that I gave up looking for them myself." "I'm sure they'll be more magical problems that pop up in this world," She added. "But like Applejack said, Princess Twilight has her own problems in Equestria. We can't expect her to always be here to help us." "But maybe I can be." The other Twilight spoke up. The group turn around to find her standing there with Principle Celestia. Silent and the Sirens agreed to call her Sci-Twi. "It seems we have a new Wondercolt here at Canterlot High!" The principal happily announced. "I'm not sure how much help I can be. But I'd like to try. If you could all give me a chance." Principle Celestia smiled. "I'm sure I can count on you girls to make her feel at home." Sunset grinned. "You sure can!" Pinkie Pie made a squee sound. Sunset was introducing all ten girls. Twilight sat beside Silent. "So, you're mute?" Silent nodded with a smile. She wrote something in her notebook. "I definitely going to like you as a friend." Twilight smiled and hugged her. The others watched on with a smile. Another Twilight stepped out of the portal. "I'm so sorry I didn't get here sooner! I didn't get your messages until now because I was caught in this time travel loop and, honestly, it was the strangest thing ever happened to me!" She paused when she spotted her double. They're was an awkward silent, break up by Pinkie slurping her drink loudly. The Twilight from the portal smiled awkwardly. "Make that the second strangest." That made the sirens giggled. > Ch.11:Playing In The Rain > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Silent went out to get some more groceries. She notice the sky was starting to gray. She went into the store and grab stuff to make a salad. She paid for the groceries and when she went out of the store, it started to drizzle. It started to downpour as she hurried home. She rushed inside and put the groceries up. She decided to make chocolate chip cookies. She mixed up the batter, when she heard the door open. "I'm home!" Shouted a familiar voice. She turn and noticed Aria is back. Aria met her eyes and smiled. She walked up to her and gave her a hug. "Are you making cookies?" Asked the purple siren as Silent hugged her back. Silent nodded. "Can I help? I love making cookies." Silent smiled and nodded. "Sweet!" Aria cheered. She went to the fridge and got out some chocolate chips. She put some in the batter as Silent fold them in. Silent got out two sheet pans and grease them. She then got two small ice cream scoops and handed one to Aria. They both take turns scooping the cookie dough and placed each amount on both pans two inches apart. They took each pan and put them in the oven. Aria met Silent's gaze with a smile. "And now we wait." Silent blushed. Every time she was around Aria, her heart starts to flutter and her palms started to get sweaty. She haven't felt like that around anybody before. All her life, she was in pain and fear. But when she met Aria, all of that went away. She felt safe around her. Aria smiled as she shared the left over batter with, Silent. She know she had a crush on the pretty girl. It started really small when she met her after she trip over her trash can. It progresses over time when Silent invite her and her sisters to live in her home after they been evicted from their apartments. After the Battle Of The Bands, no one had show such kindness to them. Sure, the Rainbooms offer their friendship and forgiveness, but the rest of the school never give them that options. But Silent stepped in and helped them, even after what had happen to her. After that her feelings grow. Silent had been through so much, but Aria had seen her strength and her perseverance. Why not admire her for it? She smiled as she gazed at her creamy brown skin and golden streaked hair. Plus, she's pretty attractive too "Didn't I tell you, that you got a cute snore when you sleep?" Aria asked with a smirk. Silent's eyes shot wide in shock, her mouth dropped open and her face was beet red. Aria giggled at her reaction. "Chill Si, I am just messing with you." Silent scowled and gave her a playful punch on the shoulder. "Hey!" she said with a laugh. They turn as the door opened. Sonata and Adagio came in drenched. "It's raining like cats and frogs out there!" Sonata panted. "Cats and dogs." Adagio corrected. "That's what a said!" Sonata snapped. Adagio and Aria just roll their eyes. "Anyways, I was just thinking after dinner, we could go outside and play in it." The blue skinned siren added. Adagio look at her in shock. "No way! You know how rain does with hair like mine!" "Come on, Dagi! It's been hot all day and I been dying to play in it." Sonata whined. Adagio sighed in defeat. "Fine. But I'm only staying out there for a few minutes, you three can do what you want." Sonata sniffed the room. "Do I smell chocolate chip cookies?" She asked with her mouth drooling. At the same time the oven timer dinged. Silent got on her oven mitts and pulled out two pans full of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. She got out two cooling racks and place the cookies on it to cool. She got her notebook from her pocket and wrote,"We'll eat these after we played in the rain." Tears started to fall from her face. "My mother always made me chocolate chip cookies when I was little. I made these to remind me a simpler times with her." She felt a pair of arms around her and turn to find Aria holding on to her. Silent smiled a little and hugged back. She felt two more pair of arms around her and all four of them stayed like that for a few minutes in comfort. Aria gently lifted her head with her finger and wiped her eyes. "Let's make dinner." She suggested. Aria marveled how soft her skin felt. Silent got the ingredients for the salad, while Aria grab the cups and the lemonade. The three sirens talk for a bit as Silent concentrate on her salad. She left her head up as she felt a hand on hers. Her heart fluttered a little as Aria smiled sweetly at her her. After dinner, they went out to the backyard. The rain was still pouring down quite a bit. Aria and Sonata ran right in it, splashing each other with puddle water. Adagio told her she's heading back inside. Silent nodded and continued to watch them, smiling at their sisterly antics. Aria paused and beckoned her to join them. Silent walk forward and hesitated as she felt the cool water on her. Aria walked toward her and grabbed her hand. "Come on and join me. Sure it's fun with Sonata, but I want my best friend with me." Silent smiled as she gaze at her friends face. She looks like a puppy, begging her. So she gripped her hand and follow her. Aria paused and splash her with a puddle. Silent widened her eyes as she was drenched. The purple siren stayed still, waiting for her reaction. Then Silent pounced on her, pushing her in the water. Aria gazed up at friend, flustered as she notice Silent had pinned her down. The mute girl was wearing a smirk on her face. Then she smiled and reached up to tuck a strain of gold streak hair behind her ear. "I guess I deserved that." She lowered her hand a little to stroke her cheek with a thumb. She grinned sheepishly. "Do you know how beautiful you look wet?" She giggled as Silent's creamy brown cheeks turn to a bright red. She leaned up and pressed her forehead against her own. She paused to drown herself in her friend's gorgeous eyes. Silent felt herself lost into her friend's eyes. She felt her heart skipped a little as she saw the love in them. Aria's gaze then traveled to her lips. She felt her hand on her chin. But as Aria got a little closer, she felt a heavy weight gently knocking her off and onto the wet ground. "Sonata!" Aria groaned. The siren just laughed. Aria noticed Silent shivering. "Let's head inside and dry off." She got up and helped Silent get on to her feet. "Okay! I want some cookies!" Sonata cheered. They went inside and gathered by the fire, eating cookies and milk. Suddenly, Silent felt her heart pounding and her chest was starting to hurt. She tried to ignore it, but it was getting worst. Eyes widened she wrote in her notebook to excuse herself and she rushed into her room. "Silent?!" Asked a clearly worried Aria. She closed her door and locked it. She paced around as she started to sweat furiously. She heard pounding on her door. "Silent! Open the door! What's wrong?!" Silent know what's wrong. She was having a panic attack. She had them all the time when she was living with her father. She always lock herself in her room whenever an episode happens. But why she was having one now? Wasn't she safe here? She sat down on her bed, having a difficult time breathing. She slowly lifted her hand and noticed she was shaking. She clutched her chest as she felt it tightening. She licked her lips feeling a bit thirsty. She laid down, feeling dizzy. She heard the sound of her door unlocking and look up to see Aria over her. The last thing she saw was her tear streaked eyes before she blacked out. Aria eyes widened in horror as she shook her friend. "Silent! Silent!" She put her hand on her chest, relieved to find her breathing. She look up at her sister's who rushed in behind her. "She's okay. She just fainted." But that didn't stop the panic in their eyes. "Why did she fainted?" Sonata fretted. Aria whimpered. "I have no clue." She gently lifted Silent up and cradled her. She stroke her face with a thumb as tears welled up in her eyes. She wiped them away as Sonata hugged her. "I never see you cry. And it hurts me." Adagio sat down beside her. "You care about her, don't you?" She asked placing a comforting hand on Aria. Aria nodded and close her eyes. "I love her." She whispered. She leaned down and kissed gently her on head. "You know? I believe Silent had a panic attack." Adagio put in putting her hand on Silent's chest. "Her heart is beating quite a bit and she breathing quickly." "Sonata, get a glass of water. She's sweating a lot and We don't want her to get dehydrated. " Adagio ordered. Sonata nodded and rushed into the kitchen. At the same time, Silent started to wake up. Aria's purple eyes was filled with joy. "Dagi, she's waking up!" Silent blinked opened her eyes. At first everything was blurry, but as it clears up, she spotted Aria looking at her with relief. "You're okay." She breathed. She pressed her forehead against her's. "I'm right here. Everything will be okay." Sonata was back with the glass water. Silent took it gratefully and gulped it down. She sat up as they all crowd around her and hugged her. > Ch.12:Camp Everfree(The Arrival) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The students of Canterlot High is on a bus, going to Camp Everfree, chaperone by Principal Celestia and Vice Principle Luna. The students chatted very excitedly as the camping trip awaits them. The group of ten friends sat in seats near each other. Twilight, who was nicknamed Sci-Twi was sitting beside Sunset Shimmer, was fast asleep. Aria and Silent was sitting together in a seat across from them, with Silent sitting by the window. While most students wear a shirt with the logo and shorts, Silent wears a light light blue long sleeve shirt and some blue jeans pants. Aria understands, as she knows her friend still wants to hide her scars from other students. Twilight had asked her if she was burning up before she went to sleep, which she shook her head, rubbing her arms uncomfortably. Aria glared at the other students with a grumpy look, which soon faded into a soft smile as her purple eyes landed on the girl beside her. While she acts grouchy towards other students, somehow she never acts that way towards Silent. The mute had girl always lifted her spirits up. She put her softly put her hand on her friend's. Silent was looking out the window, with a peaceful smile on her face. Aria was all giddy seeing it. Silent torn her gaze from the window to look at the purple siren questionably. Aria smiled as she gaze into her friend's blue eyes. "Are you excited?" she asked. Silent opened her writing notebook. She jolt something down, and showed it to her. "Kind of. I'm also nervous, I've never been camping before." Aria smiled, understanding. "I guess that makes two of us. But don't worry, I'm here with you." Silent smiled appreciably and laid her head on Aria's shoulder. Aria blushed and leaned down to lay her head on Silent's own. The two of them were about to fall asleep, when they heard a scream of fright coming from Twilight. "Stop!" They both shot up and glanced over at the girl across them. Spike the dog shook Twilight awake. "Twilight, wake up!" he shouted. Pinkie Pie in the seat in front her next of Twilight giggled. "We can't stop, silly! We're not there yet!" Sunset beside of her patted her shoulder with concern. "Hey, Are you alright?" Twilight took a deep breath. "Heh." She chuckled. "I'm fine." Adagio, who was sitting in the seat behind them raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure? You had woken up with a loud scream of fright." The purple girl smiled at the former leader of the sirens. "I'm sure, Adagio. Just caught in a bad dream, that's all." The pink bundle of energy was still smiling like a maniac, oblivious to what was going on. "We are going to have so much fun!" She squealed in glee. "We're gonna roast marshmallows and eat marshmallows and sleep on marshmallow pillows!" Sonata, who is now dating Pinkie had caught up with her pink girlfriend's excitement. "Will there be taco pillows as well?" Pinkie smiled at the ditsy siren. "I can get you one if you want, Sony." Sonata smiled with glee and kissed the girl on the cheek. Rainbow just shook her head. "Yeah, probably not gonna do that." She commented. Pinkie just grinned. "Maybe you're not!'" She said matter of factually as she grabbed a large bag of multi-colored marshmallows out of nowhere and hugged it. She made a 'squee' sound. Soon the they driving were out of the city and into the first sign of forestry. "Attention, students, we're almost there." announced the principle from the first seat. "But before we arrive, we just wanted to say how proud we are of you raising money for our class field trip." Vice Principle Luna in the seat across from her added as she waved around the forest, "When we were your age, we made some of our favorite memories in these woods,'' Aria almost laugh at out of context praising. Luna continued as she smiled at the students. "and I'm sure you will too." Aria gazed over at her best friend and whispered. "My sisters and I are much older then them." Silent gazed at her over thousand year old friend with amazement. "Now, who's excited for Camp Everfree?!" Asked Celestia excitedly. almost all the students cheered. Aria shuttered at the name. Silent glanced at her friend with concern. "In Equestria, we have a forest with that name." She explained quietly. "It's not like this Everfree. In Equestria we have pegasi make the weather, but in that forest the weather is out of control. There are also dangerous creatures reside in that place." Silent shuddered with discomfort. "But there's not anything like that in this world. Sure, there's been us sirens, Sunset and now Twilight. But things like that doesn't happen naturally here." She gave her friend a side hug. "Besides this is camping, nothing can possibly go wrong in thing like this. So don't worry about it." The bus then went through a sign that said "Camp Everfree." And pulled into a stop next to a log cabin. The students followed the principles in single file out of the bus. The student's look around the camp. The camp side is surrounded in large beautiful evergreen trees and at it's center; a large sparkly lake with a boat dock. The camp is covered in large white tents, each with a certain gemstone at the front. Couple feet away from the cabin is a large wooden stage. "Isn't Camp Everfree just beautiful?" Asked Fluttershy in awe. "I can't wait to go on a nature walk!" Spike wagged his tail in agreement. "I definitely wanna go on one of those." The animal lover smiled at him. "You wanna see all of the adorable woodland creatures too?" "Yeah!" He exclaimed. "Specifically squirrels. So I can chase 'em" He started to bark. The others opened the compartments on the side of the bus to get their bags. Aria pulled out Silent's and gave it to the girl beside her. The creamy brown girl took it appreciably as Aria grabbed hers. They passed Pinkie as she was agreeing with something. "I'll say! We fought three evil sirens who try to hypnotized the school with their singing, one ridiculously competitive rival school and two demon friends!" Aria just ignored her before she said "no offence!" and turn to Silent who was watching the peaceful scenery around them with a blissful smile. She tapped on her shoulder to get her attention. "Do you want to go down to the lake?" She asked her. Silent was looking uncertain, so she added, "I can show you how to skip rocks..." Silent smiled and grabbed her hand making her blush. "Okay!" She laughed as Silent dragged her towards the water. When they arrived at the lake shore, Aria picked up a pebble and threw it at the lake making it skip five times. She turned to Silent with a proud look. "How's that?" Silent grinned and gave her a thumbs up. Silent grab a pebble and tried to do what her friend did, but it didn't skip. Silent had a disappointed look on her face. Aria smiled with encouragement. "It's okay if you didn't get it in the first try." She picked up a smooth rock that's a size of a tennis ball. "First you need to find a smooth flat rock," She walk towards Silent and hand it to her. "Specifically, the size of a tennis ball." She held her arm with one hand and grabbed her hand with the other. "Then you grip it with your thumb and your middle finger. Then firmly hook it with your index finger." Silent nodded and did what she said. Aria gazed at her with encouragement as she added, "And then, toss it." Silent nodded and tossed the rock across the lake. It skipped once. Aria smiled, approvingly and pat her shoulder. "Now you're getting it." They skip rocks for a few minutes when they heard a cheery female voice on the P.A. "Hey, everyone! If you could start heading to the courtyard, that would be rad! It's time to start the best week of camp ever!" Aria changed looks with Silent and followed the other students. They soon walked up towards the stage at a gazebo . They were in the back of the crowd. On the stage was a young pale yellow colored woman with maroon wavy hair. Next to the woman was a green hair man, who seems the same age as the woman. The woman was holding a microphone. "Hi, everyone!" Greeted the woman. "Welcome to Camp Everfree! I'm Gloriosa Daisy, your camp director! Think of me as your friendly camp and nature guide." She pointed to the guy beside of her. "And this is my brother, Timber Spruce!." Timber grabbed the mic from his sister. "Think of me as that awesome guy..." he added as he tossed the mic around. "Who should always be invited to fun things." He gave the mic back to Gloriosa. The yellow skinned girl continued to speak. "We aim to please," She continued. "So before we hand out our tent assignments, we'd like to hear from all of you. You're free to do anything you like here." "Uh, except hike near the rock quarry. That's off limits." Timber warned. Gloriosa chuckled nervously. "Y-Yes," She stammered nervously. "But otherwise, your options are wide open. So what activities will make this the very best week of your lives?" Rainbow Dash's hand shot up instantly. "Ooh! Rock climbing!" She shouted. Gloriosa smiled. "Done!" "Archery!" "Of course!" "Tether ball!" "Naturally!" Sunset stopped Rainbow before she she suggested more things. "Rainbow, I know you're excited, but maybe give somebody else a chance to make a suggestion." She stated. "Arts and crafts!" Blurted Bulk Biceps. The muscular guy look around awkwardly. "My mom needs new pot holders." He explained. "I'll supply the looms. Offered Gloriosa. "Cookie decorating!" Shouted Pinkie Pie. "Ooh, I do make a mean sugar cookie." The camp director commented as she put her finger to her lips. "Early morning nature walks?" Asked Fluttershy. "With walking sticks for everybody!" Gloriosa added. Adagio raised her hand. "Swimming?" Gloriosa smiled. "Of course! I'll bring extra towels." "Ooh! Me!" Cried Rarity. Others look towards her. "Oh, uh... a fashion show! Where I design the most fabulous camp looks inspired by today's hottest trends and have them modeled by my classmates in a gorgeous outdoor settings!" Gloriosa smiled. "A camp tradition!" Timber looked confused. "We had literally never done that. " he interjected. Gloriosa ignored her brother as she continued. "I'll be taking requests the rest of the time your here, so if there is anything you'd like to do, anything at all, just ask. "What about a camp gift," Offered Principal Celestia. She and her sister were sitting on a picnic table, a little off from the group of students. That was my favorite camp tradition." "The camp gift! Of course!" Abruptly agreed Gloriosa. "Really?" Whispered Timber. "Yes, really!" Gloriosa whisperd back. "Well, I just thought-" objected her brother. Gloriosa snapped at him. "Then you thought wrong!" "Anyone picking up on a little tension from Gloriosa and her brother?" Observed Sunset. Twilight and Pinkie shared glances. "Ehhh..." They answered nervously. "A little." Agreed Pinkie. "Well, they are siblings." Reminded Adagio. Sonata nodded. "Adagio, Aria, and I act like that sometimes too." "Every year, campers work together to create something useful," Gloriosa continued out loud. "A gift for future campers. Working towards this common goal is key to form strong bonds that will last well beyond your time here at camp!" With a hush voice, she made a point to Timber. Out loud; "This gazebo was a gift from last year's group." She pointed to a large totem pole and a sundial. "Oh, oh, oh! And the totem pole and the sundial were also made by campers!". "The sundial was our year's gift!" Explained Celestia with enthusiasm. Luna coughed. "Even though "some people." Thought it was impractical, since the sundial can't be used at night." She pointed out to her sister. Gloriosa chuckled nervously. "You all seem like a-a really amazing group." She praised. "So I'm certain you'll come up with something inspiring to leave behind." The crowd besides Silent cheered loudly. Gloriosa gazed around the students and stopped at Silent with interest. "Thinking of stuff left behind, now's the time when we give out tent assignments so you can leave your heavy bags behind." Said Timber. They both hopped off with bags of cards. "Uh, girls will be getting their assignments from Timber. Guys your with me." Announced Gloriosa. She gave one last curious glance towards Silent before giving the boys their tent cards. "Oh, boy!" Cheered Pinkie as she reached in the bag to pull out her card. "Hmm... Yay! I'm in the Emerald Tent!" Rarity pulled out hers. "Ooh, me, too!" Fluttershy got the Amethyst Tent with Vinyl Scratch and Applejack and Rainbow Dash got the Aquamarine. Adagio and Sonata is sharing the Topaz Tent. Aria and Silent both reached in the bag and to there surprise and excitement; both got the Opal Tent. They both smiled at each other and hugged. Sunset Shimmer pulled out hers. "Sapphire." She commented. Twilight walk up to show hers. "Me too!" She added. "I mean, I'm assuming I am. Heh-heh." She chuckled. "Technically, sapphires aren't just blue. Heh-heh. They can be pink, purple, yellow..." Timber walk over and interrupted her. "Yeah, but they're mostly blue. That's why they're name after the Latin word sapphirus." He leaned close and whispered to her. "That means "blue." Twilight giggled. "I know. But do you know that sapphires are just rubies without chromium?" "No." He answered. "But did you know that Sapphire Tent is the best one?" Twilight looked st him curiously. "No. Why's that?" "Because you're in it." Timber explained as he wiggled his eyebrows at her. "Oh, I bet you say that to all the campers." Twilight remarked. "Not true." Timber objected. He turn his attention to Bulk Biceps. "You're in the Ruby Tent?" He mocked. "Ha! That's the worst one!" "Aw, man!" Groaned Bulk. Timber chuckled. "I'm just joking buddy." He comfort him with a wink. "Ruby Tent is great. It's like a sapphire but with chromium." Twilight giggled with amusement. "But the Ruby and Coral Tents do look an awful lot alike to the undiscreting eye. I better show you where it is." Timber turn to Twilight and added. "See ya, around." He waved as they both stared at each other. Sunset and Rainbow were giggling when he left. "What?" Asked Twilight, obliviously. "Heh, nothin'." Answered Applejack. "Ooh! That was adorable." Swooned Rarity. They heard Gloriosa blowed a whistle. "Okay, everyone go settle in." She directed. "We'll be meeting at the docks in fifteen minutes to go over camp safety rules. Let me know if you need anything!" "I need somthin'." Announced an arriving voice. Everyone turn around to discover that a rich buisnessman had showed up in a black limousine. He has pale brown skin and darker brown hair and wearing a black tux with a pin of bag of money. "Filthy Rich!" Gloriosa greeted nervously. "It's so nice to meet you." She then growled at him. "What are you doing here?! Camp is just getting started!" "Just taking in the scenery, Gloriosa Daisy. It's soo.. hmm... relaxin'." He said with a smirk. "Well, you can look around when camp is over. Now if you don't mind..." she demonstrated pointedly. Getting the point, the buisnessman huffed. "Fine." He hopped back into the vehicle and stared back at Gloriosa as it drove off. She return her attention back to the campers. "Filthy Rich is, uh, an alumni of the camp," the director explained. "He likes to check up on his old stomping grounds every now and then. Enough about him. Find your tents and put away your things. We got the best week of camp ever to begin!" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Aria and Silent had find their tent right away and starting to put away their things. "So, what do you think so far?" Silent smiled and nodded. "I don't like that Filthy Rich guy. I think he is up to something." Aria commented. Silent nodded her head with agreement. She walk over to Silent's bed and sat beside her. She stared at her in conspiracy. "How about we sneak to the water and swim." Silent had a look of uncertainty in her expression. Aria leaned over to tuck a stray hair behind Silent's ear. "Trust me. Swimming in the day is nice and all, it gets magical at night." Silent eyes light up and she nodded in agreement. > Ch.13:Camp Everfree(Aria's Song) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aria and Silent finished up their unpacking and head out of the tent towards the docks. "This Gloriosa Daisy seems kind of off, don't you think?" Aria questioned Silent. The mute girl nodded in agreement. "And I saw the way she look at you." She added. I don't like it in one bit. Like she's interested in her or something. Well, Gloriosa, I saw her first and if you try anything, I'll shove my boot so far up your a- "Oof!" She muttered as she walk in to someone. And that someone was her sister Adagio. "Hey! Watch it!" She shouted. Her expression softened as she gazed behind her. Aria backed away in alarm. "Oops! Sorry Dagi, I didn't see you there. Right, Silent?" Silent smiled with amusement and nodded. She wrote something in her notebook and showed it to the former leader of The Dazzlings. "She looks like she's distracted for some reason." Adagio raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Oh, really?" She inquired. She turn to the purple skinned girl. "Now, tell me Aria, what got you so distracted?" She glanced at Silent and back at Aria. She leaned close and whispered. "Is it about Silent? Tell me, Ria. Do you want to make out with her or," her smirk widened. "Go skinny dipping?" Aria's face turn red as she internally screamed. "Dagi! We aren't even dating yet!" She hissed. The yellowed skinned troll chuckled and pat her on the back. "Just messing with you, sis." All three of them continued towards the docks where a crowd of students surrounded the principles and the camp counselors. "Lake activities are available every day until sunset, so if you want to canoe, sail, windsurf, or swim, just let me know." Gloriosa said. Fluttershy crouch down near the water to look at the ducks. "Aren't they the cutest." The animal lover cooed. Twilight was standing on the dock when a piece of wood snapped. She yelped in shock and about to fall back when Timber caught her in time. "Whoa!" He exclaimed. "I know I'm charming, but you don't have to fall for me." Adagio and Aria facepalm at the cheesy one-liner. Flash Sentry was watching them sadly, while Sunset talks to him. "This is a safety hazard." Vice Principle Luna commented as she walk up to the dock with a cautionary look. "I suggest we close down the dock for the remainder of the camp." All the students complained in disappointment. Silent gazed at the dock in dismay. That means no swimming?! It was such a shame, she was looking foreward to swim with Aria and the others. The way the former sirens talk about it made it so exciting and fun to her. She felt a comforting arm wrapped around her. Aria smiled at her with easement. "Hey she was talking about the dock, not the whole lake," She said softly . "Besides, we can always sneak at night. " Aria sympathized with a wink. Silent's blue eyes glimmered with hope as she leaned against her. "Oh, I'm sure it won't be for the remainder of the camp." Gloriosa reasons to them. "Just needs to be patched up a bit. I got this!" She added as she winked and gave them a thumbs up. Applejack eyed the broken dock curiously. "Huh. Or maybe we do!" She suggested as she walked up to it. "If you asked me, this whole dock needs to go." She emphasized as she kicked one of the small support beams, breaking it easily. "Building a new one could be our camp gift. Sure, it would benefit us, but a nice dock would benefit future campers, too." She added. The rest of the campers cheered in agreement. Adagio smirked at the two girls beside her . "Seems like swimming won't be a bust after all." She said. Silent smiled at her two roommates with relief. "I don't know. It's an awful lot of work." Said Timber Spruce with a point. "I wouldn't want you guys to miss out on other fun camping stuff because you're so busy building a dock for future campers." After an awkward pause, Rainbow Dash piped up as she walked up to his side. "I hear what your saying, Timber, but we're Canterlot Wondercolts. We've got a reputation to uphold! And there was no way we were gonna leave this place with out contributing the most awesome camp gift ever! I'm with AJ. Building a new dock is definitely it! What do you think?" She asked the others. The rest of the campers cheered on their support. Rainbow glanced at Silent, who nodded in agreement. Gloriosa glanced at her brother. "I guess that settles it." She said to him. Timber raised an eyebrow at her and shrugged. "Looks like it." "That's some tension, all right." Adagio told Aria and Silent. Silent watched the siblings with uncertain and nodded. She can definitely sensed it. Her past life made her empathic to the ones around her. The campers had piped up there ideas for the new dock. They suggest things like reinforcing the foundation to make it nice and sturdy and a sign that says : "Camp Everfree." Fluttershy suggest food despinsers for the ducks and fish, of course and Rainbow Dash suggested that they can add lanterns to see at night. Rarity gasped as she had an idea. "It's stunning!" She squealed in excitement. "And will make an absolutely perfect runway for my camp fashion show!" Applejack gave her an inquisitive look and said, "More importantly, it will be a great place for docking canoes and feeding the wildlife." Rarity crossed her arms at her and commented, "Oh, you say "tomato," I say "perfect place to showcase glamorous boho-chic stylings.". Sonata gave her a confused look. "I thought the phrasing goes like "I said tomato, you said tomahto"?" Aria facepalm. "Go back to sleep, Sonata." She muttered. "So, what do you guys think?" Twilight asked the principals. They watched them, thoughtfully. "It's going to be a lot of work, but we can do it!" Principal Celestia finally announced. "Yes! Adult supervision!" Pinkie cheered as she hugged her girlfriend, Sonata. "Well, technically I'm thousands of years old. I consider that as a challenge!" Sonata cheered. They spend the next few hours helping to building the dock. Silent herd Aria giggled as they overheard Timber telling Twilight that he's the "Picasso of noodles." "That what he said." Aria snickered to her. Silent stared at her best friend with confusement, not understanding the joke. "It's something I learned from watching that show "The Office". She explained. "Maybe I can introduce you to it once we get back home." She suggest. Silent got out her notebook and wrote. "I would love to watch it with you. Maybe it would be a new experience for us together." Aria blushed and stared into her eyes; those amazing blue eyes and smiled at her with pure affection. "Yeah, maybe." She agreed as she gently grabbed her hand. She caressed it a little, enjoying how soft her skin is to the touch. She then pulled Silent into a hug and buried face in her soft golden streak brown hair. Aria felt her heart thump fast as she hold on to the girl she secretly loved. And maybe tonight she would even get to confess her love to her. Who cares that she lost her pendent or that she can't sing as good as she once was anymore. Silent Dawn is the only thing that matters most to her. This sweet mute girl is the only song in her life. The one that always lifted her spirits when she was around. Aria slowly break away from the hug to stare into the blue eyes of Silent again. She can never get tired of looking at those eyes. She smiled. "Your eyes remind me of the ocean back where I'm from." She breathed. She glanced away shyly as she added. "They're pretty." Silent blushed at the compliment and placed her hand against Aria's purple cheek. Aria smiled and leaned against her touch, closing her eyes in content. I love her. Oh, God I love her so much. "Will you two just buck already?" Shouted a raspy voice, unlike Rainbow's. They both jumped and noticed it was quiet around them. They look around to noticed the entire camp was watching them. The voice belongs to Vinyl Scratch, who was smiling at them with her arms crossed. Her girlfriend, Octavia glared at her with a stern look. "Vinyl! Mind your manners!" The white skinned DJ just smirked at her. Their friends, however, including Aria's sisters giggled at them. "That was even more adorable then Timber and Twilight earlier!" Swooned Rarity. She glanced back at the two sitting at the picnic table. "No offense you two." Timber and Twilight blushed and both chuckled. "None taken." They said in unison. The other purple girl giggled as she chimed in. "Even though I agree with Rarity. You two would make a nice couple." Timber on the other hand was staring at them with a thoughtful look. Celestia coughed to get everyone's attention. It was already getting dark. "All right now. You made a lot of progress, but it's getting dark now. We can pick this up tomorrow between our other camp activities." She announced. She walked up to Aria and Silent and added silently, "I have to admit, that was kind of cute. Make me wish I have someone too." They both spring away from each other and stared at each other awkwardly. "Everyone, get cleaned up, and we'll gather by the fire pit at eight to share s'mores and scary stories!" Gloriosa said cheerfully. She glanced at Silent thoughtfully and walk away. Pinkie hopped up with s'mores ingredients already in hand. "S'mores!" She cheered. Silent cleaned up quickly and dressed up in her blue long sleeve camp shirt and blue pajamas pants covered with black paw prints. She wrote a note down to tell Aria where she was going and head out of their tent. She look around and noticed she was the first one ready. She decided to walk down to the lake to watch it while she wait for Aria. She sat down at the edge and watched the water ripple. Silent thought about her and Aria's interaction earlier. Silent already knew that she was falling for her purple friend who had been her companion and comfort for the past few months she been here. And she can sense Aria having the same feeling as well. But what if it's too good to be true? She loved Aria with all of her heart. But she's afraid that she's gonna lose her. She already lost one important person in her life and that was her mother. Her "father" certainly doesn't love her. Silent was seen as a failure to him. As a young child, she always thought that she was in the wrong, that her father would love her if she try to make up to him in some way. But it was never the case, because she was born mute. He always thought that she was faking it or thought he can make her learn by trying to beat it out of her. After her mother's passing, he used her as a tool. She complied because she thought it would him love her. Thinking about her past started to make her eyes teared up. She got up and started to pace along the lake. Why does she love me, of all people?! I'm a useless mute! I can't even tell her how I feel out loud. She wailed in her head. She picked up a rock and thrown it in the lake in frustration making a large splash. Silent slumped back down and cried into her lap Why me?!. "Silent?!" Shouted a familiar voice. She look up with tears streaming down her face to find Aria already rushing over with a worry expression. "Are you alright? I came here quickly as I saw you pacing." She explained. She sat down beside her as she pull the into a comforting hug. "You're not having another one of your attacks are you?" Aria whispered fearfully. Silent shook her head. Aria sighed in relief, but quickly her heart sank as she saw tears running down her checks. Her expression soften as she wiped her tears from her face. "Why are you crying?" She asked softly. Silent embrace her back and buried her face into her shoulder. Aria felt her heart breaking as she felt her Silent shuddered in her grasp. Even though she couldn't hear her, she could tell that she sobbing very hard. Aria gripped her hard and buried her face into her hair. She started to rock her back and forth. "Please stop crying." She begged. "I can't stand to see you like this. It's getting hard for me to not cry with you." She whimpered. Already her own eyes start to water. Finally, she can't take it anymore and start to cry with her. She stopped rocking and weep into her hair. "I know you can't tell me what's wrong and it hurts me to see you like this." She sobbed. Silent heard this and cried even harder with guilt. Eventually both stopped crying and held each other in comfort. Their friends walked over to them and asked if they want to go to the fire pit with them. Aria told them to go on ahead, that they will meet up with them later. Seeing the condition Silent was in, they quickly agreed and walk towards the fire pit, leaving the two behind. Once they are out of sight, Silent got out her notebook and wrote down everything that was on her mind. As Aria read what she wrote she felt her breaking heart shattered into million pieces. She loves me! But she's afraid of losing me. That I don't love her back. But she's wrong.. Silent even asked that if Aria does love her, why her of all people. Silent even called herself a "stupid mute." Aria gently lifted Silent's head to gaze into her amazing eyes. "Silent, I'm going to be honest with you." She began. "I do love you back. I loved ya the second you invite me and my sisters into your home, when we didn't have nowhere to go. I told you of my past and didn't judge me for it when others did. When you told me of your past, I know it is my place to protect you. Silent, you are an amazing person and don't think otherwise. I don't care that you couldn't speak. I don't care that you are scared for life. That made you special to me. Those scars made you a fighter and you proved it by running away from your abuser." "That takes guts for what you did. Not many have that privilege, not many have good friends like Fluttershy and her family to help them out. You're not stupid, Silent. You're one of the most caring, most loving, most talented people I know. I look into your sketchpad at home and saw the most talented drawings of dogs I ever saw. Yes, I looked at a few pages, I was home alone that time and I was curious since it's different from the notebook you use to communicate with. What I'm saying is, you are a fighter, Silent." She paused for a moment to caress her check with a thumb to amire the soft creamy brown skin. "I love you Silent. You mean more to me than any pendant or singing voice. You are my song. The most beautiful song ever wrote about." Silent gazed at her with wonder, her eyes watering. Aria thought at first it was more tears of sadness, but as she look again she noticed it was tears of joy. Aria smiled and glanced at her lips for a few moments. She leaned slowly forward and paused. "You know? There's another way I can show you how much I love you, if you're okay with it" Silent raised an eyebrow, looking confused. Then her eyes widened as she got the message. She smiled and nodded. Aria smiled back and continued to lean foreward. Silent started to lean foreward as well. Aria place her hand back on Silent's check, rubbing it tenderly with a thumb. Aria was tingling with excitement and anticipation. She can't belive it, she was about to kiss the most beautiful girl this side of the portal inside and out. She was about to kiss her song. The first step for her to spend her life with. "Oh, the hay with it!" She muttered as she closed her eyes and finished the connection for them. When their lips finally touched, Aria couldn't even described what was most magical experience is. It wasn't The Battle Of The Bands, it wasn't when she used her pendent when she used it to feed off of negative emotions, and it wasn't when she and her sisters were blasted by The Elements Of Harmony. The most magical experience is right here; at Camp Everfree, sharing her first kiss with the love of her life. And as she lifted an eyelid to observe that wonderful girl, she can tell Silent felt it too. Silent put her hand on her shoulder and pushing Aria onto her back as they continued their kiss. They parted from their kiss for a moment to take a breather. Aria smiled as she gazed into those blue orbes that shines with affection above her. She smirked. "My, my, I guess I know who's on top." She teased lovingly. Silent blushed and playfully punched her. "Ow!" Aria exclaimed. She chuckled. "I guess I deserve that." Even though, Silent can never say anything, Aria was sure she was laughing as well. There's something about those amazing eyes that made them so expressive. And those eyes were staring down back at her with all of the love in the world, so much that it would make a changeling back in Equestria have a tummy ache. Silent leaned down and touches her forehead against hers. Silent felt her heart warm as the girl below her gazed back at her with with pure adoration. She never felt this most love since her mother died. Thinking of her dead mother made her her all sad again. Aria gazed at her girlfriend with concern as she noticed a hint of sadness in her eyes. She place a hand on her face and caress it soothingly. "What's wrong, love? Why those sad eyes?" Silent pressed against it with her face as tears welled up. Aria know that face. She seen it enough times to know her love is grieving and there's only one person her Silent is is grieving for. Aria smiled at her lover with sympathy. "Is it about your mother?" Silent nodded as a few tears drop from her face. Aria motion her lover to lay between her arm and side. As Silent settled down and laid her head on her chest. Aria leaned foreward and kissed Silent's tears away. "Do you want to hear a story of my childhood? Since were now officaly together, I feel like it's an appropriate time to tell you." Silent nodded as her lit up in intress. Aria sighed. "Here it goes. It's part of the reason i feel connected to you." She said with a smile as she played with her hair. She turn to the audience and winked "It was around over a thousand years in an underwater city, Coltlantis, on the planet Equus. It's the same planet were Sunset and us came from. But we Sirens and Sunset lives in two separate kingdoms. Adagio, Sonata, and I were born at the same day. We are triplets as you can guess; Adagio is the oldest, I'm the second oldest, and Sonata is the youngest. We came in as a suprise as our parents were inspecting to be only one. We didn't have technology like we have here or trained unicorn doctors like in Equestria. If a female Kelpie knows she's pregnant, she's definitely pregnant. Our parents thought they were having a large baby, but that was not the case" "Our parents were poor and they were not happy with two more mouths to feed. But it's Coltlantian law to abandon children or giving up children for adoptions. Kelpies are pro family type creatures and believe in family units alot. Our parents have no choice but to keep all three of us. My parents believe in no such things. Coltlantians goes by your income of how much of a family unit you got. The more family, the more pearls, which is our money, you get. I won't go all the details of all that. But what I can say is; the bigger and more purest is the pearls, the more value they got." Aria pause to give Silent a quick kiss on the lips. She smiled and motion her to go on. "Anyways, now were am I? Okay I got it. So my parents hates the idea of raising three kelplings, which is the term for young kelpies, at the same time. So they decided to favor Adagio instead and to pretend that Sonata and I ever existed!" She exclaimed as Silent's mouth widened in shock. "Adagio, of course never abandon us. Since we are triplets, our sisterly bond is pureborn instinct. She never like what our parents did and always sneaks us stuff like food and toys. She always wants to spend more times with us than with our parents. She absolutely hates them." "By the time we turn around your age, we went exploring in a large underwater cave, when we see something glowing red in the distance. We felt like it was calling for us. Wanting us to get closer to it. That's when we made the biggest mistake of our lives." Aria paused as she watched Silent take it all in. Silent eyes widened as she snuggled up closer to her. "We soon found out that the glowing red light comes from three red magic gems that carries dark magic. We heard tales of such gems from the elders, warning us to not to get close them or they would cause you to turn into monsters. We thought it was some fish tale, until we encounter them first hoof. As we got closer, the gems attached themselves to us, getting embeaded in our scales permanently. We and the gems become one, turning us into the very monsters they told us about; Sirens." "We weren't even ourselves anymore as we cause disharmony and distruction to innocent pony villages. All creatures of Equus are naturally good singers. That's why Sunset Shimmer can easily help the Rainbooms defeat us and freed us from the pendants control of us. But before that the pendents did something to our music magic, causing it to be trapped in the crystals. By making our singing mind control others. That's why they call us "Sirens."." "By collecting more negative energy, it cause us to become some what immortals. After hearing what we did, our family disowned all of us including Adagio. Then we got banished here and as time went by, The Battles Of The Bands happened and you now how it goes. Our pendents broke, I met you, and you gave us more help then we ever expected." Aria rolled to her side and cuddled up closer to her soulmate. "And forget all that of me leaving you. I will never leave you, not in a million years. I'd rather die than let that happen. You made me fell that I was wanted and I will always love you for it." Aria took the moment pause for a minute, to admire her beautiful girlfriend. She leaned closer and pressed her forehead against hers. She then leaned foreward and pressed her lips against hers, starting another kissing session. Their kissing slowed down in a rhythm, brushing against each other every few seconds. Aria brushed her check, gently caressing it, as she continued to share this blissful moment with the one she loved most. All good things have to come to the end as they heard footsteps and laughing above them. "I guess I was right." They both sat up quickly and noticed Pinkie Pie smiling above them, holding a paper plate with two s'mores on it. "You two missed the s'mores and scary stories, so I said out loud "no friend of mine is missing out on some s'mores even if they are secretly making out." So I thought I save you two some and bring it over to you!" She said as she place the plate on their laps. "So enjoy and don't forget to throw that paper plate away." Aria stared at the treats questionably. "So what did we miss?" Pinkie shrugged. "Just a few scary stories and some blatant foreshadowing, nothing much. Besides this story is mostly about you two right?" She skipped away leaving them alone for a while. "That pink menace gets even more weirder everyday." Aria commented to Silent as they both picked up a s'more from the plate. Silent just shrugged. They both finished their s'mores and got up to get ready to go to their shared tent. Aria noticed chocolate still on Silent's lips. She smiled and leaned in to kiss her lips, licking the chocolate from her lips. She parted from the kiss to gaze into her girlfriend's eyes, giggling at the smitten look. Aria picked up the empty plate and threw it into a near by trashcan. She walked right back to Silent who was waiting for her. Aria stook out a hand for her to hold, lifted it up and kissed it as she led her towards their tent. They decided to go late night swimming tommorow. A certain pink girl watched the couple in plain sight. Pinkie stared back at the audience with a smile. "Cute couple arn't they?" She asked. Her expression then turn serious. "Stay tune for the last two chapters of this arc. I heard there might even might even tension sturring up." "What secret Gloriosa Daisy is hiding from the veiwers? Will Sunset uncovered Silent's deep dark secret? Find out on the next Dragonball Z!" > Ch.14:Camp Everfree(Magic?!) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aria rolled around the bed the next morning, as a gust of wind found it's way inside the tent, teasing her purple mint streak hair. She opened her violet eyes to the pretty girl sleeping beside her. Her eyes widened as she remembered last night. Her heart fluttered with joy as she reached out and brushed a stray hair from Silent's face. She touched her shoulder and gently shook her awake. Silent eyes slowly flutter opened and stared back at her. "We better get up and get ready." She said as Silent blinked her eyes a couple times as she was trying to process what had happened last night. She then smiled and gave a kiss. Aria blushed and kissed her back. They both hopped out of bed, got dressed, and head out of the tent. They look around as each campers slowly crept out of their designated tents. The P.A cut one and the cheerful voice of Gloriosa came on. "Greetings, campers! Breakfast is now serving in the mess hall and get ready for Day Two of Camp Everfree!" The P.A cut off. They all start to head to the log cabin like building. Aria and Silent followed along while holding each other's hands. Adagio and Sonata was in front them. Adagio look back at the two, poked Sonata on the shoulder, and gestured towards them with a thumb. They stopped for a couple of seconds to let the newly found lovers catch up. Adagio smiled knowingly as she glanced at their intertwined hands. "So that's why you two weren't at the bon fire last night. " She teased. "So, are you two officially together?" Aria blushed and gave Silent a loving smile. "Yeah, she was upset with something so we talked it out. We told each other our feelings and we shared our first kiss." Aria smiled widened as Silent leaned her head against her shoulder as they continued to walk towards the mess hall, trailing behind the other campers. "It was magical." She added breathtakingly as she stared into her girlfriend's gorgeous blue eyes. Sonata grinned happily and gave Aria and Silent both a hug. "Oh, I'm so happy for both of you. I already known, since Pinkie told me about it last night!" She said. Sonata turn to Adagio with a grin. "I guess that makes two of us. So, Dagi, when are you and Sunset going to be official?" She questioned. The oldest former siren shrugged and smirked. "Oh, we already are. We been together a little longer than you four and I didn't want to tell you guys yet. Not until you four made it official. I decided to tell you when you did. So I kept it a secret." Adagio admitted. She look at them in triumph. "So now here we are." Sonata look back at her dumbfounded. She scowled and pinched Adagio's arm. "You jerk!" the yellow skinned girl flinched away giggling. Adagio then gazed at Silent with a serious expression. "Silent, you didn't had another one of your attacks last night, did you?" Silent shook her head. Adagio sighed in relief. Sonata raised an eyebrow with concern. "Then why were you upset? I saw you pacing along the lake before Aria rushed down there." Aria exchanged a glance with Silent. "Silent, can I borrow your notebook for a minute?" Silent nodded and grabbed her notebook from her pocket. "Thanks, Si." She said as she grabbed it and flipped it to the conversation Silent wrote last night. She gave Adagio the notebook. "She was upset because of this." Her oldest sister grabbed it and read through it. Adagio's eyes started to water when she was finished. She gave the notebook back to Silent as she started to choke up. Silent stared at her friend with concern as she placed her hand on her shoulder. Adagio gently pushes it away. "I'm sorry. I need to be alone right now." She said as she turned around and walk back towards her tent. Silent watched her and spotted Sunset and her friends ahead of them. She let go of Aria's hand and ran up to the red and gold streak hair girl. Sunset turned around as Silent tapped her shoulder. Sunset smiled. "Oh, good morning Silent." She frowned as she saw a look of urgent in Silent's face. "What's wrong." Silent turned a page in her notebook and wrote. "Adagio went back to her tent. She was upset with something. Please check on her, she need you right now." Sunset nodded after she read it and ran off after her girlfriend. She show her other friends when they were wondering where she's going. Fluttershy put her hands towards her mouth. "Oh, I hope Adagio's okay." She said, worriedly. Applejack nodded in agreement. "Yeah. That's not like her." "But what made her so upset, darling?" Asked Rarity. Silent lowered her head to the ground sadly and shrugged. "Come on girls, lets go and find out." Said Twilight as she and Spike walk after Sunset. The girls nodded in agreement and went after her. Silent watch them go with a look guilt in her face. I didn't mean to make her upset. I'm sorry Adagio. She spotted Aria and Sonata walking towards her. Silent ran back towards Aria and hugged her. Aria hugged her back. Aria kissed her cheek as she ran her fingers through her hair. "Sonata go with the others." The blue skinned girl nodded in affirmative and did what she said, leaving them alone. The other students ahead of them had already went in. She let go of her and sat on the ground. Aria motion her beloved to sat on her lap and wrapped her arms around her when she did. Silent laid her head on her chest. "Silent, you did nothing wrong." Aria said as she gently rubbed her face with a thumb. "I know you didn't mean to upset her, but what you said last night must of hit a nerve. Especially the part where you said how could I ever loved you. I guess she felt the same way about her and Sunset. Like she doesn't deserved it." She kissed her lips briefly. "Now, come on. Lets get breakfast. I'm starving. ***** After breakfast the students, went down towards the dock to start the activities and to finish the dock. Derpy blewed a whistle as she and some other students rode on a sailboat. Aria and Silent were resting on a bench when the boat suddenly crashed into the dock, breaking the almost built dock. "What in the world?" Exclaimed Aria as she and her girlfriend hopped off. They rushed towards the dock to find Derpy, Sandalwood and Timber laying there. Applejack and Rainbow Dash helped them up on their feet. They were unscathed, but in shock. "What happened?" Asked Rainbow. Twilight flinched. "I didn't mean to!" Sunset look on in disbelief as she comfort her. "We didn't see anything, so we don't know what happened." She explained. She ran up to them. "Are you okay?" She asked. Sandalwood nodded still in shock. "Yeah. It was so weird. We were stuck in the middle of the lake with no wind, then bam! The wind picked up, and we were pushed right into the dock." Pinkie gasped. "You don't think it was the spirit, do you?!" Twilight mumbled something under her breath. "What spirit?" Asked Aria. Pinkie turn to them. "Oh, right! You two weren't with us last night!" She exclaimed. "Well, Timber told us this story about this ghost called Gaea Everfree! Apparently she haunts this camp!" "Spirit, show yourself!" Shouted Trixie. "The Great and Powerful Trixie demands it!" Pinkie Pie face palmed. Aria snorted. "There's no such thing as ghosts!" Her eyes widened as she spotted glitter in the water. "What's that?!" Asked Rarity. Rainbow stared at the ruined dock in distraught. "Oh, man! All our hard work, ruined!" Fluttershy watched as a couple of fish came up from the water and ate the glitter. "At least the fishies are eating well." She commented. Sunset and Adagio started to pick up the broken wood. "Let's salvage what we can out of the water. Maybe we can still fix this." "We have to try! Camp Everfree needs a runway!" Rarity agreed loudly. "Dock." Corrected Applejack. "Dock. Yes. That's what I meant." Rarity said quickly. **** The campers continued as usual, rotating between working on the dock and doing activates. Aria and Silent wanted to try rock climbing waiting to go after Applejack and Rarity. Aria was wondering how Rarity is climbing up there wearing hills. "Rock climbing is all about perseverance and trust." Said Principal Celestia as she watched Rarity struggle. "Rarity, you can trust Applejack to spot you." "Yeah, so you can totally go faster than you're going." Rainbow Dash remarked. "Rainbow Dash!" Applejack snapped. Rainbow scowled at her. "Sorry. I've been waiting to do this since we got her." "Well, you have to wait a little longer, darling." Rarity said as she tried to climb even higher with Applejack helping her. Silent turned and spotted Twilight and Timber walking out of the woods. Rainbow spotted her and her eyes lit up . "Oh, good! Twilight, if you spot me, I can finally go. I'll go get another harness." "I'm not sure-" Twilight began. Timber cut her off. "I better make sure my sister doesn't need anything. See you later?" Twilight blushed and nodded as Timber salute her. Silent watched them curiously. Is it just me or they're getting closer? Her train of thought paused when Sunset, Spike and Adagio ran over to her. "Twilight, there you are! We were looking for you!" Suddenly the ground started to shake, causing the students to scream in terror. Silent held onto Aria for dear life. The shaking stop immediately. Spike look up at Twilight. "Was that an earthquake?" Twilight shook her head. "We aren't near any fault line." Bulk Biceps shouted. "Hey! Who left this crystaly dusty stuff here?!" They all look to find the same glittery trail that was on the lake. "That looks like magic." Aria whispered to Silent. They heard Rarity screaming and turn to find Rarity dangling from the rope. "I-I believe I want to come down now!" She yelped. Applejack was struggling with the rope. "Sorry. It's a bit stuck." She said through gritted teeth. Suddenly, she pulled making the dangling fashion diva go higher, like she didn't have a problem at all. Applejack accidentally let go, making Rarity fall. Applejack caught her in before she hit he ground. Rarity screamed at her. "Applejack! What are you doing?!" Principal Celestia walked over to them with concern as Applejack let her gently touch the ground. "Is everything okay over there?" Applejack shrugged. "Uh, I don't know what happened. I didn't even pull the rope that hard. It's like she's light as a feather all of a sudden." Rarity leaned against the wooden rock wall, breathing heavily. "I was scared half to death!" "It wasn't my fault!" Applejack explained as she walked up to her. "Let me get you're harness out." Rarity sheild herself with her hand. "No, thank you!" She somehow shot out a blue diamond like shield. It pushed Applejack right into the lake. The farmer girl screamed in alarm as the water splashed. A very wet Applejack got out and spit out a mouthful of water. She was missing a hat, "What in the world just happened?!" Exclaimed Celestia as she watched in shock. "Oh, dear! I am so sorry! I think." Said a very confused Rarity. She turn to the others. "Did I just do whatever that was?" Asked Rarity. "I don't think it was your fault." Twilight explained. "I'm gonna go get Applejack a towel." "Me too." Added Sunset. She glanced at Adagio. "You want to come too?" Adagio nodded. Sunset dropped Spike as they walk away. Aria put her arm around Silent protectively as she saw Gloriosa stopped the three girls in their tracks. Silent gave her girlfriend a confused look. Suddenly they heard a loud scream from the building. Silent's eyes widened. It sounded like Fluttershy. She ran after Sunset with Aria behind her. A huge mess greeted them as they went inside the cabin. Cookie dough was everywhere. There was even some on the ceiling. Pinkie and Fluttershy was at the table. Their hair was sticking up like there was an explosion that had set off. "What happened?!" Questioned Sunset. "I don't know. We were just decorating cookies and-" Fluttershy explained. Pinkie cut her off. "And I all, "You need more sprinkles! And you need more sprinkles!" Pinkie exclaimed as she was acting like Oprah. "So, standard Pinkie Pie stuff." Sunset said. "I was tossing sprinkles to Fluttershy, when all of a sudden they glow and exploded!" Pinkie chimed in grabbing some sprinkles. It glowed and exploded as she dropped it on the table. "Just like that, only earlier! "Wait! You can make bombs with sprinkles?!" Asked Aria in disbelief. "Yep!" Pinkie exclaimed. "Oookay!" Sunset said as went over to her and grabbed her arm away from the sprinkles. "Why don't you lay off touching stuff for a while?" "Oh, dear." Stated Fluttershy as she went over to the shelf. "We should clean this up." She tried to get the roll paper towels but she can't reach. "Can someone help me out?" An orange bird went over and grabbed it. It then gave it to Fluttershy and land on her finger. The bird tweets at her. "Thank you, Mr. Bird." The girl said gratefully. The bird chirped again. "Why, of course I can get you a little something to-" She said as she walked a little. She paused and gasped as she stared at the bird. "Did you just... talk?" She asked in confusement. The bird chirped again. "But I don't speak "chirp"." She and the bird converted more until more birds came in, even two large owls. They landed on her arms. "It's nice to meet you all, too." "Were you just talking to the birds?" Asked Sunset. Fluttershy smiled nervously. "Um, yes?" The door slammed open, revealing Applejack and Rarity, making Fluttershy scream and the birds fly away. "Did you tell them what happened? So crazy! I hoisted Rarity up the rock climbin' wall like it was nothin'! Like I had way more strength than I usually do." Exclaimed Applejack. "And I made a diamondy thing appear out of nowhere, which normally I'd be excited about." Added Rarity. "I mean the facets were just perfect and-" "Rarity!" Applejack shouted cutting her rambling off. Rarity smiled at her apologetically. "Oh, sorry. It knock Applejack over and then it disappeared!" "Speaking of disappearing, has anybody seen Rainbow Dash?" As soon as Applejack said that, a rainbow blur rush forward speedily Rainbow screamed and hit the wall. She fell on the floor with a thud. "Ow!" She shouted, holding her head. "Whoa! How'd you do that?" Applejack asked, astonished. Rainbow stand up, recovering quickly and explained, "I don't know. I started running to get the harness, and the next thing I knew, I was practically back in town!" "But if you had some sort of super speed, why were you gone for so long?" Asked Rarity. Rainbow scratched the back of her head. "Because I lost it when I was far away. And then it came back when I got close to camp." Pinkie gasped. "Being at camp is giving us all new magical abilities!" "Not all of us have gotten new abilities." Sunset explained. "I haven't, but Twilight-... hasn't, either." She added staring at the purple girl in question. "And none of us haven't, either." Added Adagio. Apllejack sighed and cross her arms. "So much for my theory that leavin' CHS would mean leavin' any new magic business behind." "Something at the camp must be making this happened." Said Sunset. "Um, Gaea Everfree?" Fluttershy offered. The door was kicked opened, showing a shadowy figure, making every one in the room screamed in fright. The figure was revealed to be Gloriosa Daisy, carrying towels and Applejack's hat. "Applejack! I was looking for you! Here, I brought you some towels and dry cloths." She gave the towels and hat to Applejack. She look around the room. "Uh, what happened in here?" "We're still trying to figure it out." Sunset explained. "Well, don't worry about it. I got this!" Gloriosa said. Sandalwood and Derpy burst in. "Gloriosa, I kicked my beanbag into the lake!" Sandalwood explained. "I'll get you another one!" The camp counselor promised as her eye twitched. Derpy held up a bow and broken arrows. "And I'm all out of arrows!" Gloriosa held up a hand. "Say no more! New arrows coming right up!" Timber Spruce barges in, catching his breath. "There you are!" He panted. In a hush voice he added, "Filthy Rich is back. Do you want me to handle it?" "Absolutely not!" His sister hissed. In a normal voice she said, "I've got this!" She walked out, brushing Sunset in the process. "Fluttershy, enough with the screaming!" Sunset barked. "I didn't scream." Fluttershy said. "For once." Rainbow agreed. "Nobody did." Added Rarity. "Huh?" Asked a very confused Sunset. The P.A turned on and they heard the voice of Celestia. "Attention, campers! Anyone who's interested in making floating paper lanterns, please meet us by the picnic tables." "I don't know about the rest of ya'll, but I've been lookin' forward to comin' here for a month." Said Applejack. "Maybe we forget about this "new magic" for a bit and just try to focus on enjoyin' our time at camp?" Aria nodded. "I agree. I'm going to the picnic tables and I'll meet you there." She held her hand out to Silent. "You want to come with me?" She nodded and took her hand as they both walk out the door. They were surprise to find the sun almost down. They walk towards the picnic tables hand in hand. They both paused and shared a quick kiss. Aria leaned towards her ear and whispered, "I love you." Silent smiled and kissed her cheek. They hugged each other, sharing each other's warmth. Aria smiled as she felt Silent's heart thumping in sync with hers. They parted from the hug and continued to walk as they held each other's hands. Aria brushed her thumb against her hand as they made their way towards the picnic tables. **** It was now night time and the students gathered around the lake to make their lanterns float. Silent's friends were suprised at the painting of a golden retriever's face on hers. None were more surprised than Gloriosa. "Wow! We got an artist here!" She had said as she checked on hers and Aria's. Aria glared at her when she walked away. Aria's own was a picture of her star with the music note. Fluttershy smiled. "That picture is very cute, Silent." She praised. "Yeah!" Spike agreed as he barked at the painting. They all tossed their lanterns towards the sky. Pinkie's, however, crashes before it hit the ground, because it was made of only marshmallow and glue. It catched on fire when it hit the ground. "Awe! Oh, well! I get to eat it!" She gobbled it up as the rest look on in disgust and in awe. "Yep, beautiful and delicious." Aria and Silent smiled and leaned against each other as they watched their lanterns float with the others. "Let's go and get ready to swim tonight. Well head back out here when everyone is sleeping." Aria whispered. Silent nodded as they both went to their tent.
