Starlight let out a long agonizing sigh. It was night time. Night times are supposed to be cool. But for whatever reason, it was really scorching hot. The castle she lived in with Twilight was normally good at keeping out the hot air while staying relatively cool, but not tonight it seemed. Starlight was currently laying in bed. Sweat stains covered her night shirt and shorts. A disgruntled look continued to display across her face as she stared up at the ceiling. "Why did I never bother to learn any body cooling spells?!" 

Rolling over, the disgruntled unicorn got up. Her feet touched the ground that was normally cold but that too seemed to have been warmed by the recent heat wave. Sweat soaked fur was not a fun feeling right now and all she could think about was getting some cold water on her. Making her way out of the room and to the bathroom, Starlight felt something nagging in the back of her mind. She wasn't sure what it was till she got to the bathroom. She went to turn on the faucet to the sink to splash some cold water on her face, only for no water to come out. 

Starlight gritted her teeth and growled. "Oh yeah, thanks brain. No water for this castle as of recently."

It was funny to think of a magical crystal castle having plumbing issues. Despite many attempts by Twilight, Spike and even her friends, no pony seemed to be able to figure out what was going on. Plumbers were called of course, but they were just as stumped as Twilight. In the end, the plumbers decided they would be back in a few days with an expert, but in the mean time, it meant having to deal with the whole no water situation. And on a night like this, there was a certain pink sweat covered pony could really use some cold water right about now. 

"School is closed for the summer. Pretty sure Twilight turned off the facilities to save power. Trixie is still living in her wagon. She has a bath, though I am pretty sure her bathwater came from this castle so that's a no go. It is super late so I don't want to disturb anypony else."

Starlight let out another sigh. "Guess I can always fall back on plan B."

Her plan B was risky though. But at this point, it was late at night. Surely no creature would be out.  Especially in that certain spot so deep in the Everfree. And it was better then accepting the torment that was this castle for the rest of the evening. And hey, play her cards right, things could go extra well tonight. After all, she would just so happen to be passing... 

"No" Starlight thought to herself. "There is no way that would happen. But a mare can dream though. Now then, time to focus on remembering where exactly that trail was." With that thought in mind, and the sweat starting to make her feel uncomfortable again, Starlight set out to go find her favorite bathrobe and towel.

Trixie groaned as she tossed and turned in her hammock. She was pretty sure that opening the window earlier had just made things worst. All that heat was let in and now trapped within her wagon. Trixie cursed under her breath, her star covered night shirt and pajama pants were so sweaty, one could assume she had just gone swimming recently. 

Against her better judgement, the pissed off blue unicorn decided she had had enough of this attempt at sleep. With a huff, Trixie got up and made her way to the door, hoping to get some fresh air. Even if the air was just as humid outside, it was certainly no better inside. Just before she could open her door all the way, the sound of somepony walking nearby caused her to pause. 

Trixie, now curious as to who could possibly be out this late, glanced out her window. To her surprise, it was Starlight. She was wearing a black bathrobe and had a towel over her shoulder. Trixie watched, quietly surprised to see her close friend out so late and wearing a bathrobe of all things. Starlight was making her way over to the Everfree Forest, occasionally glancing around her. 

At one point, she seemed to glance at Trixie's cart, causing the white maned unicorn to duck quickly. After a few seconds, she looked back up again and saw Starlight was walking again. She was still walking kind of slowly. Almost like she was trying not to draw to much attention to herself. Once she made it to the tree line though, she picked up the pace and disappeared into the dark woods.

Though the woods had been somewhat tamed as of recently, it was still strange to see a pony go in there. At night no less. 

Curiosity got the better of her and Trixie quickly threw on a pair of running shoes, opened her door and jogged after Starlight, hoping to catch up to her before she lost her trail.

After hiking for what seemed like a solid half an hour, occasionally loosing site of Starlight but still managing to follow her trail thanks to Trixie's keen eye for detail, she soon found herself coming to a large clearing. The sound of bubbling water told her that she might be coming up on a spring. Pushing some reeds aside, Trixie couldn't help but pause. In front of her was one of the most scenic and beautiful springs she had ever seen. Small oak trees grew around it, with a large rock here and there. Lightning bugs buzzed around while the full moon above lit up the area.

Trixie slammed her hand hard against her face. "No, but to be fair, Trixie was a bit distracted by curiosity... And other things."

Starlight grinned, "I am glad you are here though. Don't think I haven't noticed your attempts at flirting lately."

Trixie felt her heart skip a beat. "R-really? Trixie wanted to say more but... Didn't want to risk loosing you." Trixie glanced back at the ground before then slowly trailing over Starlight's still dripping wet body. The poor unicorn couldn't lie, it was really hard to look away. 

Starlight stared at Trixie for moment, eyes that seemed to be excited yet also full of lust. She raised up her hand and motioned Trixie towards her. "Come on, there is no way I am going to be taking this bath alone at this point."

Starlight's robe could be seen just slipping below the surface of the lake, having most likely been recently flung there.
