Slice of Life (Main Six Version)
Twilight ran through the streets of Ponyville with a serious and determined look on her face. Judging from how fast the princess was running, it must be something really important. Her first stop was at Sugarcube Corner where Pinkie was in the middle of helping the Cakes with Cranky and Matilda's wedding cake.
"Ooh! I can't wait for Cranky and Matilda to get married!" Pinkie cheered as she added some frosting on one side of the cake.
"Careful, Pinkie!" Mrs. Cake demanded. "We don't want to have too much frosting on that area!" Some knocked came from the door and Pinkie was the one who opened it. She smiled to see her good friend, Twilight. Pinkie looked confused as Twilight had a serious look on her face.
"What's up, Twilight?" Pinkie asked.
"We need to gather all of our friends! It's an emergency!" Twilight replied. Pinkie felt concerned as she looked at Mrs. Cake who was still making preparations to the wedding cake.
"We'll be fine, Pinkie." Mrs. Cake smiled. "Go help Twilight. We're take care of the cake." Pinkie nodded and ran with Twilight.
"Get Fluttershy and Rainbow while I get Rarity and Applejack! Meet us near the bowling alley!" Twilight ordered.
"Got it!" Pinkie said as she made her way to get two of her friends.
Once the Main Six were gathered together near the bowling alley, Twilight began explaining what the problem was.
"I received an urgent message from Princess Celestia." Twilight said as she levitated the scroll for all of her friends to see. "She says that a royal guard had spotted a large creature making its way to Ponyville. She already has some royal guards on their way to help apprehend the creature before it causes harm in Ponyville."
"Let me guess," Rainbow interrupted. "Princess Celestia wants us to fight off this creature until the royal guards arrive." Twilight raised a brow from Rainbow's guess.
"Yeah, that's right." Twilight said in confusion.
"We should've guessed that due to our past experiences." Rainbow added as she cracked her hooves. "I can't wait to give this monster a beat down of a lifetime!"
"Now Rainbow," Fluttershy interrupted. "just because a large creature is on its way here doesn't mean it is dangerous." Fluttershy suddenly turned her head to Twilight. "Right, Twilight?" Twilight looked at the scroll.
"According to what Princess Celestia wrote, the royal guard who spotted this creature says that it looked like a...Bug Bear?" Twilight said while her friends looked at each other.
"What the hay is a Bug Bear?" Applejack asked.
"It's a hybrid between a grizzly bear and a bumble bee." Fluttershy said with a gulp.
"Of all of the crazy things we have seen, that has got to be the craziest thing I have ever heard of." Applejack said in response.
"It also sounds dangerous if it attacks Ponyville." Twilight said with a serious face. "We need to make a plan to take down this beast." Twilight started making a strategy on how to take down this Bug Bear while her friends were listening. Little did they knew, some of the residents of Ponyville were gathering around them to see what was going on. Matilda ran towards the crowd in a panic.
"Where's Pinkie Pie?! I need my wedding planner!" Matilda said as she pushed some of the crowd away to get to Pinkie. A loud roar came from the sky as the Bug Bear was hovering over the town residents. The Main Six prepared themselves for battle as the Bug Bear began to attack. The Bug Bear tried to strike the six mares with its stinger but they were able to dodge it. Twilight countered it by firing a beam from her horn to the Bug Bear. It only stunned the Bug Bear a bit before it roared again. Rainbow flew past the beast to get its attention. The Bug Bear got back up and flew after the Main Six as they led the monster away from the residents.
"We got to find a better way to lead this Bug Bear away from Ponyville!" Twilight said as she tried to dodge the attacks from the Bug Bear.
"Oh! I know!" Pinkie turned to jump and grab on to the Bug Bear's back.
"Pinkie!" Twilight yelled. "What are you doing?!"
"I'm gonna ride this beast like a bull in a rodeo! Yee-hah!" Pinkie yelled in a cow-girl accent. Pinkie was interrupted when the Bug Bear grabbed Pinkie with its arms. The Bug Bear then gave Pinkie the worst noogie she has ever gotten.
"Ow! That hurts!" Pinkie yelled as she tried to get out from the Bug Bear's arms.
"Let go of Pinkie, you beast!" Rarity yelled as she fired a horn beam at the Bug Bear. Rarity's beam shot only made the Bug Bear angry as it tried to strike Rarity with its stinger. Luckily for Rarity, she dodged it but she ended up falling on the ground. Rainbow made an attempt to save Pinkie by flying right at the Bug Bear. The result was Rainbow getting smack by the Bug Bear and she flew until she hit the side of a house. Pinkie was able to slip from the Bug Bear's grasp, but the Bug Bear flew towards Rainbow to attack her. Rainbow was able to regain her conscious and dodged the Bug Bear before it attacked the house. The Bug Bear flew back up where it was distracted by Twilight, Fluttershy, and Rainbow who were flying in the air.
"Come on, you beast! Put'em up!" Pinkie yelled as she positioned herself like she was ready for a boxing match. The Main Six continued to lead the Bug Bear away from the citizens of Ponyville. The Bug Bear tried to throw one of the carts but was stopped when Applejack lassoed the bear's other arm and brought the beast down to the ground. It got back up and flew up to the air. Twilight shot the Bug Bear with another magic beam while Rainbow flew around it to cause confusion to the beast. The rest of the friends followed in pursuit to distract the Bug Bear or to make sure no pony gets harmed. It wasn't long until the Bug Bear stopped near Town Hall where some of the residents watched as the Main Six continued to stop the beast from attacking. Pinkie was distracting the Bug Bear by riding a unicycle while balancing some plates with some sticks. Rainbow took this opportunity by flying past the Bug Bear to irritated it a bit before it went back to watching Pinkie do her unicycle tricks. While the six mares battled the Bug Bear, Bon Bon got down from Town Hall with a grappling hook and slowly sneaked her way into the crowd of ponies. Behind the crowd, Cracky was speaking with the jewelry shop owner.
"I need my ring today, no matter the cost!" Cranky yelled out. "As long as it doesn't cost any extra." The jewelry shop owner just rolled his eyes. Twilight continued to blast the Bug Bear while Rainbow punched it a few times.
Things went bad to worse as the Bug Bear got a hold of Rarity while it stood on top of her boutique. Twilight and Rainbow did their best keeping the Bug Bear from causing more havoc. It wasn't long until Pinkie got out from one of the windows to Rarity's boutique with her iconic party cannon aimed at the Bug Bear.
"Suck confetti, you abomination!" Pinkie yelled as she fired a ball of confetti at the Bug Bear, causing it to become so confused that it let go of Rarity. Twilight was able to catch Rarity with her magic and the princess levitated Rarity to the ground.
"Oh! Thank you, Twilight!" Rarity said as she fixed up her mane. "That brute didn't know how to hold a mare!"
"Don't worry, Rarity." Twilight assured “We’re almost to the Everfree Forest." Twilight flew back into the action and fired more beams at the Bug Bear while it flew to the direction towards the Everfree Forest. Once the Bug Bear got to an open area in the woods, the Main Six surrounded the Bug Bear for another time to try and detain it.
"Uhh! This is taking forever!" Rainbow whined. The Bug Bear took this chance and flew at Rainbow. It bit her torso with its teeth, causing Rainbow to wail in pain.
"RAINBOW!" The rest of the friends cried before they charged at the Bug Bear once more.
"Hey! I'm not your lunch!" Rainbow cried as she kept punching the Bug Bear until it let go of her. Rainbow fell to be caught by Twilight's magic.
"Are you hurt, Rainbow!?" Twilight asked in fear.
"Argh! I got a sore on my body, but I'll pull through." Rainbow winked while rubbing her sides. The Bug Bear roared again to express its anger as it was ready for another attack. The monster was interrupted when a yellow beam was fired at its face. Twilight turned to see that a squadron of royal guards charged at the Bug Bear to either fire beams of magic at it or fly around it. Flash Sentry approached Twilight.
"Princess Twilight," Flash said with a salute. "We were sent by Princess Celestia to aid you on your battle against this Bug Bear."
"About time!" Rainbow yelled as she continued to rub her aching sides.
"Can you take care of my friend?" Twilight pointed to Rainbow. "She was badly hurt from the Bug Bear's bite."
"Don't worry, Princess. That's why we brought a medic with us in case if casualties were involved." Flash waved his hoof and a unicorn medic appeared to use healing magic on Rainbow.
"Thank you for your assistance." Twilight said with a bow.
"It's no problem." Flash replied. He noticed that the unicorn guards were able to hold down the Bug Bear by using magical ropes to wrap it around.
"I better help my comrades before things get worse. We'll clean this up." Flash ran towards the Bug Bear only to stop and turn to Twilight.
"By the way Twilight," Flash said to get the princess's attention. "Are you available next Friday?" Flash gave a small smile. Twilight just blushed from hearing such a bold question.
"I-I.." Twilight was interrupted when the Bug Bear roared as it attempted to break free from the magical rope.
"Oh, I better help them fast!" Flash said as he flew and distracted the Bug Bear.
It a long time before the Bug Bear was apprehended and the Main Six were running towards Town Hall.
"I can't believe that monster kept me from making any last minute touches to Matilda's wedding dress!" Rarity said dramatically.
"I hope Matilda and Cranky were able to find a substitute wedding planner!" Pinkie said with worry.
"I'm sure they were fine." Applejack responded. The Main Six could see the Town Hall up ahead.
"What matters now is that we get there on time before-" Twilight was interrupted when the doors suddenly slammed shut.
"What in tarnation?!" Applejack said as she the rest of the Main Six reached the doors. Rainbow tried to open them but they didn't budge.
"That's it!" Rainbow said before she attempted to kick the door down with her hooves. Pinkie stopped Rainbow immediately.
"You can't do that! You'll interrupt the wedding." Pinkie pleaded. Twilight went to a window to see that the wedding had already started.
"I guess the best we can do is to watch the wedding from here." Twilight suggested as all of her friends shrugged and trotted towards the window. As the six friends watched the wedding, they couldn't help but notice the attendants who came.
"Looks like all of Ponyville and a few non-residents came to the wedding." Applejack whispered.
"Yeah, there's Steven Magnet, Bulk Biceps, all three of the princesses-" Pinkie stopped when she noticed something in the Town Hall. "Is that a changeling?"
"What?" All five of the friends said before they saw Cranky and Matilda kissing. Everybody inside cheered for the newly wedded couple. Things got better as fireworks started shooting up inside the building.
'Huh, looks like Cranky and Matilda had no problems with the wedding without me planning it.' Pinkie thought.
"You know something, girls?" Twilight said as she trotted from the window and faced the whole town. "We are so lucky to live in this town." Twilight friends approached her.
"I love you all!" Twilight said as she gave her friends a big hug.
"Ow!" Rainbow whined. "That's where the Bug Bear bit me!"
"Sorry," Twilight said in embarrassment.
