A collection of short stories featuring Twilight and friends getting together with the characters of Monster High
What happens when students of Canterlot High School get together with the students of Monster High? That's something Principal Celestia, Vice Principal Luna, and Headmistress Bloodgood wondered. They decided to get together and think up some interesting scenerios.
One beautiful Saturday morning, Celestia and Luna were relaxing in their backyard. Luna was a little concerned.
"Luna," Celestia said, "it's Saturday. The school is closed for the weekend. Why are you so worried?"
"I just wonder who made that phone call to us." Luna answered. "The voice said that she'll meet us here at our home. But, didn't say who it is."
Suddenly, they heard a horse coming their way. A giant shape jumped over their fence, and landed in their yard. The sisters saw a young woman wearing a purple outfit and riding a dark purple horse.
"Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna." The woman said. "We meet at last."
Celestia recognizes the woman "Headmistress Bloodgood! What brings you here from Monster High?"
Bloodgood gets off her horse, Nightmare, and walks to join the sisters. "Since it's Saturday and many schools are closed, I figured to spend some time with you two."
"Not a bad idea. It's not often that leaders of different schools get together."
Luna watched in shock as Bloodgood places her head on the table.
"I keep forgetting," Luna said, "you're the daughter of the Headless Horseman."
Bloodgood chuckled a little. "My students didn't nickname me the Headless Headmistress for nothing."
"So, what brings you hear on this fine day?" Celestia asked.
"I've been wondering." Bloodgood replied. "What would happen if students from our respected schools get together?"
"Many possibilities."
"Correct, Celestia. Maybe the three of us can come up with good stories about those possibilities."
"That has potential." Luna chimed in. "Now, you got my interest."
"Ladies," Celestia announced, "This is going to be good."
Inside her workshop, Twilight Sparkle was using her laptop to look at schematics of an old projection device she was fixing when Applejack and Sunset Shimmer came in.
"Hey, Twilight." Sunset greeted. "What are you up to today?"
"We’re fixing this old projection system for my parents' movie night." Twilight explained. "They were going to a movie theatre until a car crashed into a pole connected to the place."
"Ouch! That must've knocked out power for the place."
"Yes, it did, Sunset. This projector is finished. Now, all I need are the bulbs needed for the lamps in this device."
"Twilight," Applejack wondered, "you said WE were fixing the projector. Who's helping y'all?"
Just then, a lime green skinned girl with black and white hair streaks comes in with a paper bag.
"I have those bulbs you asked for." The girl said.
"Thank you." Twilight replied as she takes the bulbs out of the bag.
When Applejack saw that the girl has two different colored eyes, stitches on her arms and legs, and bolts on her neck, she knew who the girl was.
"Frankie Stein." Applejack called out. "What brings you here?"
"Twilight called me and told me about this movie night situation." Frankie explained. "And, she said that she needed some extra help."
Sunset was very surprised to hear the story. "Who'd thought Twilight would call someone from Monster High for help?"
"Sometimes help from out of town is a good idea."
"I guess you're right, Frankie."
Twilight closed a panel and turned to the others. "Well, the projector is finished. Now, all we need is my DVD player and speakers, and we'll test the equipment."
Later, Twilight connected the projector to the DVD player and speakers, plugged them in, and prepared for a test.
"Well," Twilight announced, "it's time to see if the projector works. A movie is loaded, and we're all set."
Frankie Stein started to get nervous. "Do you guys mind if I wait outside?"
"What's wrong, Frankie?" Applejack asked.
"Every time I get nervous, I start to fizzle. And, I don't want to short out the equipment."
"Listen, Frankie." Twilight said. "If you are that nervous, you can wait inside my house. My parents can help you take it easy."
Frankie starts to leave the workshop. "Thanks, Twilight."
Inside the house, Frankie tries to relax as Twilight's mother, Twilight Velvet, comes in to talk to her.
"Calm down, Frankie." Twilight Velvet said calmly. "There's no need to be nervous."
"I guess you're right." Frankie replied.
"Twilight told me and my husband, Night Light, about that projector. I have faith in my brilliant daughter."
Twilight, Applejack, and Sunset came into the house with smiles on their faces.
"The projector works!" Twilight announced. "Mom and Dad's movie night is saved!"
Everybody was happy as the girls came to Frankie.
"Y'all had nothing to worry about after all." Applejack said.
"She's right, Frankie." Sunset added. "Twilight is very grateful to you for helping out."
Frankie was very happy as Twilight and friends gave Frankie a hug. But, Frankie's bolts sparked and shocked the three girls. They were dazzled as Frankie sees what happened. "Whoops. Sorry."
Later that night, Twilight Velvet and Night Light were watching a movie in the backyard. Thanks to Twilight and Frankie, the movie night was saved.
"My parents look so happy." Twilight cooed.
"They should." Applejack replied. "That set up you prepared, the projector, the DVD player, and the speakers, went well."
Twilight blushed as Sunset turned to Frankie. "I guess Twilight is glad you helped out, Frankie."
"Really?" Frankie blurted.
"Yeah. I'll bet your zombie friend, Ghoulia Yelps, would be proud of you."
"Thanks, Sunset."
The two girls high fived each other, which results in Sunset getting shocked. Her hair went vertical as Frankie commented. "My mother would love to see that hair of yours, Sunset Shimmer."
Sunset felt her hair, and shared a laugh with Frankie Stein. "You're probably right."
Rainbow Dash watches the waves at the beach as Fluttershy, dressed in her wetsuit, joins her.
"Hey, Fluttershy." Rainbow greeted. "What's up?"
"I heard that my brother has been learning how to surf." Fluttershy informed.
"What?! Zephyr Breeze is trying to surf? That goofball brother of yours almost got himself hurt trying something he never knew."
"I heard that somebody has been teaching him how to surf for three weeks now."
At another area of the beach, Zephyr sits on his board waiting for a chance to ride a wave. On the shore, a light teal woman with wavy blond hair, fins on her arms and legs, and webbed hands watches Zephyr and talks to him with an Australian accent. "Remember, mate. Wait for the right moment. Then, ride that wave."
"Are you sure all your teaching will help me?" Zephyr asked.
"As long as you maintain balance, you'll be fine. Surfing is about balance."
Nodding to his teacher, Zephyr sees a wave, and swims out to it. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy arrive to the scene. The rainbow haired girl recognized the visitor. "Lagoona Blue! What brings you here?"
"Hello, Rainbow Dash." Lagoona replied. "I'm just spending my day here at this beach."
"So, you're Monster High's water maiden." Fluttershy said. "Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too, Fluttershy. Your brother, Zephyr Breeze, told me all about you."
Soon, Rainbow Dash spotted Zephyr Breeze in the water and got Fluttershy's attention. "Hey, Fluttershy. Look!"
The three girls watch as Zephyr rides the wave. Although nervous, he concentrated on his balance. Everybody was shocked. After his ride, Zephyr picked up his board, and made his way back to shore. His eyes widened when he saw Rainbow and Fluttershy.
"You guys were watching me?" Zephyr yelped.
"We were, Zephyr." Rainbow Dash replied. "You were awesome! And, that's saying a lot."
"I never thought you would be riding any wave after what happened last time." Fluttershy added.
Zephyr stood up his board and placed his arm around Fluttershy's shoulder. "I guess it pays to have a pretty cool teacher."
Lagoona blushed as Rainbow stood puzzled. "I don't get it, Lagoona. What made you decide to teach Zephyr Breeze how to surf?"
Lagoona gave Rainbow Dash a good explanation. "Your farmer friend, Applejack, told me about the results of Zephyr's boasting. I feel bad for the poor guy."
"So, you took it upon yourself to teach him about what surfing's about."
"That's right, Rainbow. I'd say, he's on his way to being a cool surfer."
Zephyr then walked up to Rainbow and Lagoona. "So, Rainbow. Feel like going out for a burger with me?"
The cocky boy flashed a big smile. But, Rainbow Dash gave him a strong response.
"Don't push your luck, Zephyr!" Rainbow Dash and Lagoona Blue said at the same time.
The two girls looked at each other, and shared a laugh as Fluttershy looks on.
"Zephyr Breeze has learned a lot about surfing." Fluttershy said to herself. "But, when it comes to impressing Rainbow Dash, he has a lot to learn."
Sweetie Belle looks at herself in a mirror. Her sister, Rarity, made her a long sleeve white nightgown with blue sleeves and magenta on the bottom.
"This nightgown looks beautiful." Sweetie Belle said to herself. "My sister did a good job with this creation."
Sweetie Belle soon climbed into her bed, turned out the light, and went to sleep. Twenty minutes later, Sweetie Belle felt a tiny bit of rumbling from under her bed. She turned on the light, took her flashlight, and looked under her bed. Seeing there was nothing, she stood up. Only to see a ghostly looking teenage girl with light teal hair with purple streaks on it. This girl has on a blue shirt and skirt. She gives Sweetie Belle a friendly greeting. "Hello, Sweetie Belle."
Sweetie Belle rushed out of her room and knocked on Rarity's door. "Rarity! Help! There's someone in my room!"
To her surprise, Rarity came upstairs and saw her sister panicking.
"Sweetie Belle, darling." Rarity said with concern. "What's wrong?"
"Rarity!" Sweetie Belle shouted with relief. "I was just getting ready to sleep when..." Sweetie Belle's bedroom door opens. Then, the mysterious girl steps out. "Yikes! She came into my room without warning!"
Rarity held on to her sister. Just then, she recognized the girl. "Twyla Boogie! This is a surprise."
"Hi, Rarity." The girl responded. "Good to see you too."
In the kitchen, the three girls sat while enjoying some chamomile tea.
"I'm sorry for waking you girls up." Twyla said.
"I just finished watching a good movie." Rarity replied. "I was just going to my room when my sister rushed to me in a panic."
"Probably panicked when I showed up."
Sweetie Belle was very rattled. "How did you get into my room anyway?"
"Did you feel a shaking under you bed, sis?" Rarity asked.
"Yeah, Rarity. I went to look under my bed and found nothing. Next thing I knew, Twyla was there."
Twyla went to give Sweetie Belle a small hug. "I'm sorry I scared you. Being the daughter of the Boogeyman can have drawbacks."
Sweetie's eyes widened with shock. "The daughter of the Boogeyman?!"
"That's right. I can move through the shadows to different places. I especially like going though closets and under the bed. Just like I did with you."
The three girls heard a loud meow coming from the living room. It turned out to be Rarity's cat, Opal.
"Poor Opal." Rarity said as she picks up a small blanket from another chair. "The poor darling must be cold."
"I can give that blanket to Opal." Twyla offered.
"Good thinking, Twyla."
Rarity gave Twyla the blanket. Suddenly, Twyla blends into the shadows. She reappears in front of the cat, and drapes the blanket over her. Opal gets comfy, and falls asleep. Sweetie Belle is dumfounded when Twyla appears in front of her.
"Impressive, huh?" Twyla asked.
"Shocking is more like it." Sweetie Belle replied. "The way you move around like that surprises anyone."
"I guess you're right." Twyla heads for the hall closet. "Time for me to go. Good night, girls."
Twyla goes into the closet, and closes the door. Rarity and Sweetie Belle opens the door, and sees no sign on Twyla anywhere. Sweetie Belle was very complexed. But, she accepted this. "She's the daughter of the Boogeyman, all right."
Rarity giggled, knowing that her sister won't forget this night.
Pinkie Pie was checking out various stands at a farmer's market. She was very happy seeing all of the fresh fruits and vegetables being sold. Tagging behind her are her sisters, Limestone and Marble.
"This is a great place to spend the day!" Pinkie said, happily purchasing some carrots. "There's something for everybody here."
Limestone brings with her a jar of honey. "That's true, Pinkie. Another good part of this market is that everything is fresh. Even this honey. It came from the bees themselves."
"I like coming to these places. Fresh produce, fresh spreads, and so on."
"It's no wonder Mom's vegetable soup tastes good. You provide the fresh veggies when possible."
"You got it, Limestone."
Marble comes along with her own purchase. "I got various fresh berries and homemade grape jelly. Pinkie was right to come here."
Marble was squealing with joy as Limestone checks on her stuff. "What kind of berries do you have, Marble?"
"All kinds." Marble happily answered. "Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and even blackberries."
"You could make a pretty good pie with those berries."
Pinkie then saw someone purchasing some ears of corn. It was a girl with black hair in pigtails, pink streaks in her hair, wearing a black and pink outfit, and carries an umbrella with her. The party girl squealed out to the girl. "Draculaura!"
The girl turned to Pinkie, and called her back. "Pinkie Pie!"
Draculaura came over to Pinkie and they embraced each other in a sweet hug. The sisters were shocked.
The sisters walked up to Pinkie and her friend. Limestone got curious. "What brings you to this market, Draculaura?"
"Same reason you girls are here." Draculaura answered. "Attending this place and purchasing some fresh stuff. And, I'm not alone."
Pinkie and her sisters look around to see Draculaura is right. They see others like Operetta, Frankie Stein, Cleo DeNile, Clawdeen Wolf, and Venus McFlytrap at other stands.
"I guess it's good to have friends with you." Marble stated.
Draculaura gives Pinkie an ear of corn. "Here's something to go with those carrots, Pinkie."
"Thanks, Draculaura." Pinkie said gleefully. "My sisters bought stuff from the market too."
Curious, Draculaura went to see Limestone's jar. "Fresh honey. That pretty cool, Limestone."
"I think so too." Limestone replied. "It's amazing how much hard work those bees did to bring us honey this fresh."
The vegetarian vampire looked at Marble's load. " Fresh berries and homemade grape jelly. I like it!"
"Thank you." Marble replied, curious about something. "Don't you vampires hate the sunlight?"
"We do. That's why I brought my umbrella." She opens her umbrella and holds it over her head. "Even with sunscreen and these sunproof clothes, I still need extra protection."
"Okay. That makes sense."
Draculaura then went back to Pinkie Pie. "So, what's been happening in your hometown, Pinkie?"
"I'm so glad you asked." Pinkie answered.
As the two girls in pink start talking, Limestone and Marble watch them happily.
"Those two sure like each other." Marble said.
"Why not?" Limestone replied. "They're both a couple of chatterboxes."
"We heard that!" Pinkie and Draculaura said at the same time.
Limestone shook her head as she giggled knowing that she was caught.
In a warehouse area, two girls practiced playing their music. One was Sunset Shimmer playing her guitar. The other was Operetta, the southern music maven of Monster High, playing her organ. After twenty minutes, the girls decided to take a break.
"Thanks for letting me join you, Operetta." Sunset said.
"Y'all are welcome, Sunset." Operetta replied "I'm just glad to be friends with a fellow music lover."
Sunset was very happy for the compliment as she looks at the organ. "Wow! You play that organ pretty good."
"Well," Operetta explained, "it pays to be the daughter of the Phantom of the Opera."
"Just one thing. Why do you want me to come by myself? You know me and my friends are part of a band. And, we're getting ready to put on a show in five days."
"That's true. But, I figured you might need some alone time for a while. Besides, I can get lonely sometimes."
Suddenly, a ghostly boy in a leather jacket came through the wall, and greeted the girls in an eerie manner. "How are you doing, ladies?"
Sunset Shimmer got frightened at the sight of this ghost. "Yiiii! Johnny Spirit!!"
"You've heard of me?"
"I sure did! Clawdeen told me that you were in detention for 3,000 years. You were a real bad boy!"
Johnny looked at Sunset with a nasty smile. "I'm very flattered that anyone from Canterlot High School knows of my reputation."
Operetta steps in. "What brings y'all here anyway, Johnny?"
"I heard some music while traveling around here." Johnny Spirit said. "So, I figured to check it out."
"Operetta figured I need a break from my band mates." Sunset replied. "The two of us decided to jam together."
"You two sound pretty good. I can play music too."
Sunset was shocked. Operetta went over to explain that comment. "Johnny plays a mean fiddle, Sunset. When he was set free, he tried to take over my hangout spot. The catacombs under Monster High."
"I used to hangout there before I was placed in detention." Johnny added.
"He and I decided to have a musical duel. Him and his fiddle versus me and my organ."
"Sounds intense." Sunset said. "Who won?"
"Nobody." Johnny answered. "It was dead even. But, we did have fun making music."
Sunset then got an idea. "You heard of a musical group I represent called 'The Rainbooms'. Haven't you?"
"I sure have. Why?"
"One of the songs we cover is 'The Devil Went Down to Georgia', originally performed by the Charlie Daniels Band. That song has a lot of fiddle playing. How about joining us for that performance?"
Johnny thought about it. A minute later, he gave his answer. "Sunset Shimmer, you got a deal."
Operetta smiled, happy that Johnny has a chance to show off his talents for others. Five days later, The Rainbooms are on stage performing with students of Canterlot High School and Monster High watching. Twilight then made an announcement. "And now, folks. Joining us for this next song, here's Johnny Spirit!"
Johnny and his fiddle floated on stage. He gets a great amount of applause. The band started playing, and Johnny jammed with them. In the audience, the elegant Octavia watched in amazement.
"Johnny Spirit is great, Operetta." Octavia said. "I'm glad Sunset suggested that he plays with the band."
Operetta was happy to here that. "So am I, Octavia. So am I.”
On a beautiful day in Canterlot City, Photo Finish finished a photo session With Octavia and Vinyl Scratch, Also known as DJ Pon-3.
"Thank you, ladies." Photo praised. "This will be grand. An elegant cello player and a Disc jockey might be a weird combo. But, very artistic."
"How nice of you to say that?" Octavia replied. "Vinyl and I do make the weirdest roommates to bunk together. However, we do get along very well."
Octavia and Vinyl left the scene as Photo's helpers, Violet Blur and Pixel Pizzazz, pack up their stuff. Photo places her camera in with the equipment.
"Be careful with that camera!" Photo ordered. "There is possible front page photos in there."
As her two helpers left, going back to their photo studio, Photo spotted an unusual young lady painting on her easel. This lady looks like a cat in a purple outfit. Photo decided to approach this mystery woman and check her out. The avid photographer recognized the lady. She tapped on her shoulder to address her.
"Catrine DeMew!" Photo announced. "We meet at last."
"Ah. Bonjour, Madamoiselle Photo Finish." Catrine DeMew replied. "A pleasure to finally meet you."
"What brings you here to Canterlot City?"
"I'm spending some of my vacation time with Rarity. She recommended me to come to this city. There are many places for my painting skills."
Photo took a look at Catrine's picture of the buildings. She was impressed. "This is very good, Catrine. You have a good eye for your painting masterpieces."
"I appreciate the comment, Photo." The artistic werecat said. "I am dedicated to my paints and easel the same way you're dedicated to your photography equipment."
Soon, a lunch cart comes along. Catrine offers a treat to Photo. "Shall we have lunch while my paint dries?"
Photo Finish nods. The two girls each had a hot dog and a can of soda. And, they both shared a soft pretzel.
"No offense to you, my feline friend," Photo Finish said, "but when I see a werecat, I think of those trouble makers at your school of Monster High."
"You mean Toralei Stripe, Purrsephonie, and Meowlody. Oui?" Catrine replied.
"Yes. Those three are truly bad news. I'm not sure how Frankie, Lagoona, and the other ghouls tolerate them."
Catrine puts her hand on Photo's shoulder. "Don't be upset, Photo. My friends always know how to deal with any situation Toralei creates. Besides, there is another werecat that is not like that dark trio."
Photo Finish realized who Catrine was talking about. "Oh, Ja! Catty Noir. The pop singer who wanted to be a normal student. I wonder if she still does her music act."
"She does sometimes." Catrine said.
The two girls enjoyed each other's company. Two days later, Photo Finish was tidying up her photo studio when her two helpers came in.
"Hey, Photo." Violet Blur said as she carried a package into the place. "Somebody left this for you."
"A package for me?" Photo blurted. "Let's see what it is."
Photo carefully ripped off the brown paper. The package turned out to be a painting of her and Catrine DeMew.
"Oh my gosh!" Pixel Pizzazz blurted. "Is that lady the painter, Catrine DeMew posing with you?"
"It is!" Photo said with excitement. "She must've painted this when she went back home."
Photo Finish and her helpers were astounded at this painting. Catrine holding her palette and paintbrush, and Photo holding her camera. It was a remarkable painting.
"Catrine DeMew," Photo Finish said to herself, "this is the beginning of an artistic friendship."
It was a peaceful evening at Sweet Apple Acres. The sun sets as Applejack and her sister, Apple Bloom, come across a campsite on the area of the barn.
"Are you sure about this, sis?" Applejack asked.
"I am positive, Applejack." Apple Bloom replied. "I was just coming home from exploring the lake outside the woods,"
"One of your barefoot expeditions, no doubt. You always do that when you put on your overalls and any shirt."
"Good point. Anyway, when I came home, I saw this here set up."
The two Apple Sisters look at the campsite, and got curious.
"Who would come here?" Apple Bloom wondered.
"I'm not sure." Applejack answered. "Granny Smith must trust this person to go camping here."
They were soon approached by a tall looking woman. She wore a black jacket, red torn tank top with black stripes, purple skirt, and multi belted boots. Applejack soon recognized this person. "Hoo-wee! Clawdeen Wolf!"
The tall woman sees the farm girl and responded. "Hey, Applejack. What's up?"
The two girls hugged each other, happy to see each other. Apple Bloom looked with a puzzled expression. Clawdeen soon saw her. "Hi, Apple Bloom. Nice to meet you."
The young Apple got nervous. "Are you a...a....werewolf?"
"I sure am. But, you don't have to worry. I'm not a vicious critter."
Apple Bloom started to feel better as Applejack got curious. "What brings y'all here anyway?"
"I figured to take a little trip outside of my home." Clawdeen answered. "I was told about Sweet Apple Acres. I've learned it was very peaceful."
"You heard right, Clawdeen."
"After I packed up for a night, I took my camping stuff, and headed here."
"Why camp out by the barn?" Apple Bloom asked.
"Probably a lot of space for camping." Applejack figured. "And, if nature calls, Granny Smith leaves the back door unlocked so she can zip off to the bathroom."
Clawdeen felt a little embarrassed. "That's a little too much information, Applejack. But, you're right about a lot of space for camping."
The three girls shared a laugh when Granny Smith arrived. "Come and get it, girls."
Inside the house, Clawdeen and the Apple family enjoyed some homemade beef stew.
"This stew is delicious, Granny." Applejack praised.
"Glad you like it." Granny Smith replied. "As you folks know, the vegetables in this stew were from our own garden."
"That's what we like about it."
Clawdeen was surprised to hear that. "That why it tastes so good. Fresh veggies make anything tasty."
"I'm glad you appreciate what we do here on our farm, Clawdeen." Granny Smith. "I can even make good salad by specifications. Your vampire friend, Draculaura, would appreciate that."
"As long as there's no garlic." Clawdeen informed. "You know how vampires don't like garlic."
"Don't worry, my dear. I'll remember."
Apple Bloom was a little confused. "What school does she go to, sis."
"Clawdeen and Draculaura both go to a school called Monster High." Applejack answered.
"Monster High? Sounds real scary."
"Not so scary as you might think." Clawdeen responded. "Someday, I'll introduce you to some of my friends."
Later that night, Apple Bloom slipped on her pajamas when she heard a soft howling outside. She looked outside, and saw Clawdeen in her own sleepwear. She was kneeling while howling. Apple Bloom put on her slippers, and headed for the barn. Clawdeen saw the young Apple coming.
"Hey, Apple Bloom." Clawdeen greeted. "Did I wake you?"
"Nah." Apple Bloom answered. "I just finished putting on my pajamas when I heard you howling softly. What were you howling for?"
"Take a look up in the sky. You'll find out."
Apple Bloom looked up, and saw the moon. She was amazed with this sight. "I get it. Werewolves howl when the moon is full."
"You catch on quick."
Apple Bloom felt very relieved, and gave Clawdeen a sweet hug. "I'm glad I met you, Clawdeen."
Apple Bloom went to go back into the house when Clawdeen called to her. "You know, I have a sister your age. I'll introduce you to her someday."
"Thanks." The young Apple replied.
Apple Bloom felt good, knowing she made a new friend.
Wearing a lavender T shirt and blue bib overalls with the pant cuffs rolled up, Wallflower Blush waters some of the flowers in her garden. When she was done, she puts down her watering can, takes off her sneakers, and sits down in a lounge chair.
I should thank Applejack for these overalls. Wallflower thought. Not fancy at all. Just the way I like it.
Just as Wallflower was relaxing, she heard a knock on the door to her garden. She went over and opened the door. She was shocked to see a lime green skinned girl with vines on her arms and legs.
"Venus McFlytrap!" Wallflower called out. "This is a surprise!"
"Who did you thought it was?" Venus wondered. "Sunset Shimmer?"
Venus entered the garden, and looked around. She was amazed with the place.
"This place is beautiful." Venus praised. "I can see you take good care of these flowers."
"Thank you, Venus." Wallflower said. "Sunset Shimmer helps me out once in a while."
"If she's not trying to makes moves on you."
Wallflower was surprised to hear that. "You heard of that moment. Huh?"
"I did. Sunset told me that she was interested in dating you."
The green haired beauty giggled a little. "I'm surprised she was that interested in me."
Venus looked at Wallflower's clothing. "I like that farm girl look."
"Thank you." Wallflower praised. "But, I think you didn't just show up here to look at me and my garden."
"You're right. There's a community garden in Canterlot City. And, I would like you to join me there."
"Wow!" Wallflower shouted. "That sounds great. Let me put my sneakers on."
Later, at Canterlot City, many people attend the community garden. There were sections of flowers and fruit and vegetables growing. Wallflower and Venus walk around, and are amazed.
"This is so beautiful." Wallflower said. "I'd like to contribute to this place. There might be a place for me to grow some flowers."
"And, to meet other plant lovers." Venus added.
"That's true. Can't stay invisible or forgotten forever."
Soon, they see a young girl with a video camera taping the garden.
"Is that Juniper Montage?" Venus asked. "I heard many stories about that movie maniac."
"True, Juniper maybe a trouble maker." Wallflower informed. "But, she turned out to be okay."
Just then, the movie girl approached the garden lovers. "Wallflower Blush and Venus McFlytrap. This is a unique twosome."
"What do we owe the honor of this appearance?" Wallflower wondered.
"I'm just taping this garden to share online. Many people should get involved with things like this."
"That's a nice change for you." Venus praised. "I guess you're through causing trouble. Right?"
"You're right, Venus."
As Juniper leaves, she gives the eco friendly plant girl a nice comment. "I'll say this, Venus. You're passionate for flowers as you are with recycling and preserving the environment."
Wallflower Blush watched Juniper Montage leave as Venus McFlytrap gives her a reply. "You know, Wallflower, she's right."
Wallflower smiled, knowing Venus has a good point.
Sunset was chilling out at her favorite coffee place, sipping her beverage. Soon, a curly haired girl with pixel style glasses and a viking style hat walks over with her own beverage.
"Kjersti!" Sunset said. "I didn't expect this."
"Hello, Sunset." The girl named Kjersti replied. "May I sit with you?"
"Sure."
Kjersti and Sunset finished their beverages and had a polite conversation.
"So, what brings you here, Kjersti?" Sunset wondered.
"I thought I would spend some time with a fellow gamer." The troll teenager replied.
"Good answer. You should come by my apartment someday. I have a killer game system."
"I'd love that."
Suddenly, the infamous Aria Blaze comes in and storms towards the two gamers.
"What do you want, Aria?" Sunset asked.
"I came here on my own, if you hadn't noticed." Aria answered. "And, I'd figure to take you on in a game at the arcade."
"Whatever the game, I'll be ready."
Aria then spots Sunset's companion. "Well, well. Kjersti Trollson. I was hoping to meet you someday."
"Me?" Kjersti yelled. "How come?"
"Me and my partners, Adagio Dazzle and Sonata Dusk, traveled to the monster demension, in a little area called Goreway. Stomp, Grunt, and Clobber told us that you're quite the gamer."
"Stomp, Grunt, and Clobber?" Sunset asked Kjersti.
"My brothers." Kjersti answered as she turned back to Aria. "Yes. I am a gamer. I can adjust to any video game out there."
Aria soon had an idea. "How about showing me what you got. Meet me at the arcade. Sunset will show you the way."
As the crafty Aria Blaze left, Sunset got worried. "I hope you know what you're getting into, Kjersti."
"I heard a lot of stories about the Dazzlings." Kjersti replied. "Aria won't get under my skin."
Later, Sunset and Kjersti went to the arcade. They met Aria at a machine that Kjersti found astounding.
"A dance game!" Kjersti yelped.
"That's right." Aria replied. "I've racked many a high score on this game. Not many people can beat me."
"I see her play these games." Sunset added. "She's definitely good."
Aria puts some money in the game, then turns to Kjersti. "Let's see how you can play, Kjersti."
Kjersti stepped on the pad, waiting for the game to start. "You asked for it, Dazzling."
The music played, the pad lit up, and Kjersti followed the patterns well. Her dancing was so mesmerizing, a lot of people watched. When the song was over, people cheered for the young troll. Aria looked at the score.
"I don't believe it!" Aria gasped. "That's one impressive score! How did you dance so good?"
"Dance class at Monster High." Kjersti replied.
"I can believe that."
Suddenly, Aria's phone rings. As she answered her call, Sunset approached her fellow gamer.
"Those were smooth moves, Kjersti." Sunset praised.
"Thank you." Kjersti replied. "This is a good workout."
Aria went back to the two gamers. "We'll have to settle things later, Sunset. Adagio has been looking for me. Bye."
The Dazzling left the arcade. Sunset Shimmer and Kjersti Trollson smiled, knowing that they won't see Aria for a while.
It's a good thing I didn't challenge Kjersti. Aria thought. She'd wipe the floor with me.
Twilight Sparkle and her friends are in the backyard of Filthy and Spoiled Rich. It's Diamond Tiara's birthday. And, the seven girls were asked to decorate the backyard for a birthday party. But, they're going nowhere.
"What were we thinking?!" Twilight yelled. "This is the biggest party in this neighborhood. And, even my organization skills aren't helping us."
"I'm with you, Twi." Pinkie Pie agreed. "I can plan big parties. But, not this big."
"At least, the tables, chairs, and plates are here for us to set up." Sunset added. "But, Twilight is right. This is a nightmare."
The girls were so puzzled, they didn't notice somebody opened the gate and stepped in the backyard.
"The family said that they'll be back at 4:00 today." Rarity informed. "We still have time. Now then, where do we start?"
Rarity's question is answered by a mature female voice. "I can help with that."
The seven girls soon saw an elegant young lady with brown and blond streaks in her black hair. She also wore clothing resembling mummy wrappings.
"Oh my gosh!" Twilight gasped as she recognized the lady. "Cleo DeNile."
Cleo bowed to the girls. "At your service."
Rainbow Dash raised an eyebrow. "Come again?"
"Young Silver Spoon told me that it's Diamond Tiara's birthday today." Cleo explained. "And, I was told you girls are getting things ready for a party."
"Well, as you can see," Twilight added, "we haven't got far. Even with my organization skills."
"Maybe what you girls need is good leadership. I've seen my fair share of birthday parties to know how to handle this."
Twenty minutes later, party decorations are placed on the ground in a box.
"Party guests will be arriving in an hour." Sunset Shimmer said. "We better get ready."
Cleo started the organization. "Pinkie Pie, you and Fluttershy use these decorations to dress up the backyard. And, hang up the balloons once they're blown."
"Okey Dokey, Cleo." Pinkie responded as she and Fluttershy went for the decorations.
Cleo turned to the farmer girl. "Applejack, you and your family are good with cooking. Are you not?"
"We sure are." Applejack answered.
"Good. Call your brother, Big Macintosh, and have him come over to help you with the barbecue grill."
"Good idea."
"Rarity," Cleo said to the fashionista, "with your craft skills, make a special crown, cape, and scepter for the birthday girl."
"Marvelous idea, darling." Rarity replied.
Cleo turned to Rainbow Dash. "I would like you to set the table. But, no super speed, please. We don't want any broken dishes."
"No problem, Cleo." Dash said.
Finally, Cleo went to the brainy member of the team. "Twilight, you and Sunset Shimmer get a booth ready for DJ Pon-3 to do her bit."
"Right." Twilight agreed.
"And, I'll handle other details. Including the birthday cake. All right, girls. Let's get to work."
As time passes, the backyard is looking fantastic. Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy hung ribbons, balloons, and a giant "Happy Birthday" banner. Rainbow Dash set up plates along the tables. Rarity places a crown, cape, and scepter on a makeshift throne.
"Well done, Rarity." Cleo praised. "Diamond will love it."
"Thank you, darling." Rarity said happily.
Applejack and Big Macintosh set up a barbecue grill. And bowls of snacks are placed on the snack table. And, Twilight and Sunset help Vinyl Scratch, alias DJ Pon-3, set up her DJ booth. Cleo had a beautiful cake set at the middle table. Later, guests were chatting and having fun when Silver Spoon rushed in. "Diamond and her family are home!"
Everybody hid and stayed quiet. As soon as Diamond Tiara came in, all of her friends jumped up and yelled "Surprise! Happy Birthday, Diamond Tiara!"
Diamond saw all of her friends, and teared up. Her mother, Spoiled Rich, gave her a hug. "Happy Birthday, honey."
She was happy to hear this from her mother. As the party went on, DJ Pon-3 played groovy music, kids and other guests were talking, enjoying the good food Applejack and Big Mac cooked, and dancing to the music. Diamond wore her crown and cape, and holding her scepter. "This is the best party I ever had. Thank you, mother."
"Thank Twilight and her friends." Spoiled Rich said. "They helped organize this party."
Twilight walked up, pleased with the results. "Thank you. Some of the credit goes to Cleo DeNile. She helped us out good."
Diamond Tiara saw Cleo talking to some of the kids, and went over to to thank her.
Fluttershy walks through the woods near her home. As a nature lover, she appreciates the beauty of the woods. As well as the animals who inhabit this place.
It's so peaceful. Fluttershy thought. If only I have somebody to enjoy it with.
With all of her friends doing their own things, and with Tree Hugger attending a music festival, Fluttershy feels lonely. Suddenly, she was approached by a unique looking girl whose clothes look like animal skins. This girl carries a big walking stick. Fluttershy was astonished.
"Oh my." Fluttershy said. "Jane Boolittle."
"Hello, Fluttershy." The girl greeted. "A pleasure to meet you."
Fluttershy and Jane hug each other.
"What are you doing here?" Fluttershy wondered. "I never expected to run into you."
"I learned about your nature hike from your intellectual friend, Twilight Sparkle." Jane replied. "I figured that you can use some company. After all, we both love nature."
"That's a good point. I feel very honored to have you join me."
Fluttershy and Jane went together on their hike. They heard a loud squawk over their heads. They saw it belonged to a bald eagle flying to a tree branch. They look at it carefully.
"The bald eagle." Jane said. "One of the most majestic birds of all time."
"I agree." Fluttershy replied. "The wing span of this bird is amazing."
Suddenly, Jane grabbed Fluttershy and they both ducked behind a log.
"Jane," Fluttershy muttered panicky, "why did you pull me..."
Jane covered her mouth and whispered to her. "Shhh. Have a look."
The two girls quietly watched a skunk walk by. As soon as it passed, they rose above the log.
"If I didn't pull you back here," Jane explained, "we both would've been sprayed."
Fluttershy felt relieved. "That was a good call, Jane. Thanks."
"You're welcome, Fluttershy."
Later, Fluttershy looks around to see where Jane went.
"Jane!" Fluttershy called out. "Where are you?"
She heard her companion's voice. "Over here, Fluttershy."
Fluttershy spotted Jane at a pond. She had her feet in the water.
"Feet hurt?" Fluttershy asked.
"A little." Jane replied. "Sometimes I do soak my feet for relief."
"Without disturbing any small critters down there. Right?"
"You know me too well, friend."
Seeing that it's a good idea, Fluttershy removed her boots, and joined Jane. They both look at how pretty the scenery it. They felt so serene and peaceful. Later, the two girls returned to Fluttershy's house.
"Thank you for being with me, Jane." Fluttershy cooed.
"It was my pleasure." Jane said. "I hope we meet again. Farewell."
Jane Boolittle heads for her home as Rainbow Dash came to Fluttershy's house.
"Hey, Fluttershy." Dash greeted. "Was that Jane Boolittle passing by?"
"Yes it was." Fluttershy answered. "She joined me on my nature hike today."
Rainbow Dash smiled. Knowing that Fluttershy was in good company.
One crisp fall day in Sweet Apple Acres, the Apple family gathered outside the barn, looking at a fascinating alter.
"Pretty nice. Isn't it?" Granny Smith said.
"It sure is, Granny." Applejack replied. "I especially like that portrait of Ma and Pa on their wedding day."
"What's with this thing anyway?" Apple Bloom asked.
"This alter is something me and Grand Pear learned about while spending time in Mexico." Granny Smith answered. "A tradition called Dia de los Muertos."
Soon, Grand Pear arrives with a blue dress in his hands. "That translates into Day of the Dead."
Applejack's eyes widened. "I heard of this. In Mexico, it's a holiday tradition in which people pay tribute to those who passed on."
"Eeyup." Big Macintosh said. "They use alters like this one. In hopes the spirits of loved ones can visit."
"And, objects that reminds folks of loved ones are placed in the alter. Clothes, food, jewelry, and other things to reminds us of our loved ones."
Grand Pear hangs up the dress. "My daughter, Pear Butter, always loved wearing this dress. If only I didn't explode after her wedding to Bright Mac."
"That sure broke her heart." Apple Bloom said. "Didn't it?"
"Yup. That wedding was supposed to end the feud between the Apples and the Pears. I was just too stubborn to see that."
Granny Smith brought out a folded crimson blanket. "I used to cuddle Bright Mac with this blanket when he was a kid."
She places the blanket in a place on the alter.
"I admit," Apple Bloom stated, "this is a nice display."
Granny Smith was pleased to hear that. "Thanks, honey. That young lady, Skelita, helped us with this project."
"Skelita?"
Applejack knew who Granny is talking about. "Skelita Calaveras? If any of those Monster High students know about these kinds of traditions, it's her."
A female voice speaks up. "Thank you."
In steps a festive skeleton girl with red and black hair. She addressed the Apple kids. "Hola, Applejack. And you too, Big Macintosh and Apple Bloom."
Apple Bloom was surprised to see Skelita. "Wow. She even looks like something from the Day of the Dead."
Big Mac agreed. "Eeyup."
Skelita gave Applejack a hug, seeing that the farmer girl is getting emotional. "You still miss your Mami and Papi. Don't you, Applejack?"
"We all do, Skelita." Applejack replied as she was tearing up.
"That's what this alter is for. It will help you remember your parents. I gave Granny Smith and Grand Pear the idea when I ran into them in Mexico."
Skelita and the Apple family and Grand Pear looked proudly at the alter. Later, night comes to Sweet Apple Acres. The family gathers at the alter. Skelita and Big Mac place a candle on each side of the alter, as Applejack plays a quiet tune on her guitar.
"What's with those candles, Granny?" Apple Bloom asked.
"It's another Day of the Dead tradition." Granny Smith replied. "Lighting candles are supposed to guide the souls of the Dead back to the living."
Skelita turns to the youngest Apple. "With these objects and the song Applejack is playing, no doubt Bright Mac and Pear Butter might show up."
Apple Bloom smiled as she returns to Applejack as she finished her song. A tear went down her cheek. "That was beautiful, sis."
"Thanks, Apple Bloom." Applejack said as the two sisters hugged each other. "Pa played that song for Ma when I was seven. I remember that tune well."
"Do you think Ma and Pa might be with us?"
Applejack suddenly saw ghostly images of her parents as Bright Mac tipped his hat to her and Pear Butter blew a kiss. Applejack shed tears of joy. "I reckon so."
"I'm glad that we're having our slumber party over your house, Rarity." Rainbow Dash said. "Your bedroom is always so, well, roomy."
"My pleasure, darling." Rarity replied. "I always enjoy my friends coming over. And, you all came at a good time. I'm expecting a special guest to spend the night with us."
"A special guest?" Twilight said. "Who? Photo Finish? Trixie?"
"How about Wallflower Blush?" Sunset Shimmer added.
Then, an eerie female voice echoed through the room. "How about none of the above?"
Everyone was shocked as a ghostly girl comes through the wall. She has deep blue hair and wore a black and purple dress accented with chains.
"A GHOST!" Pinkie yelled as she hid in the closet.
Everyone looked at this ghostly stranger. Twilight soon noticed something.
"I don't believe it." Twilight gasped. "It's Spectra Vondergeist!"
"Spectra Vondergeist?" Fluttershy said.
"Monster High's Ghostly Gossip?" Dash realized.
"In person." Spectra responded. "Pleasure to meet all of you."
Pinkie Pie slowly opened the the closet door, and carefully walked out.
"Ghostly Gossip?" Pinkie muttered. Suddenly, she zipped over with a change of attitude. "Wowee! Are you the same Ghostly Gossip that recently did a story about a video game tournament that took place last week?"
"Yes, I am." Spectra replied. "I guess you read that story on MyStable."
"I sure did!"
Applejack was stunned. "Really? That's something new to me."
Later, everyone changed into their sleepwear. Spectra included.
"Thank you, Fluttershy." Spectra replied, sipping on some hot chocolate. "Rarity isn't the only one who dresses elegantly. Even for bedtime."
Rarity blushed as Applejack spoke up. "I thought your reporting skills are only for Monster High. What made y'all decide to branch out?"
Putting down her mug, Spectra gave an explanation. "I figured that other people outside of my home might like to hear my views of various subjects. So, I go out to find something worthy for a scoop."
"That makes sense." Twilight added. "Have you ever made mistakes in your line of work?"
"I had my fair share of errors."
"Like what happened to Frankie?" Sunset said.
Rainbow Dash got confused. "What are you talking about, Sunset?"
"Frankie said that she had tickets to a concert. Spectra heard that, and spread that story all over Monster High."
"I heard of that." Twilight said. " Frankie's friends wondered who's she taking. Turns out she had eight tickets. So, they all went."
"Even the best reporters can make a mistake, I suppose." Rarity said.
Spectra felt a little embarrassed. "I know. Frankie, Cleo, and the other ghouls are still reminding me about that moment."
Everyone shared a chuckle or two. Later, everyone fell asleep. Pinkie Pie tried to sleep. But, she was fidgeting in her sleeping bag. Spectra moved her sleeping bag next to Pinkie.
"I figured the glow surrounding me would make a good nightlight, Pinkie." Spectra indicated. "It should help you relax."
Twilight has a talk with Applejack at a pizza place about a problem at Sweet Apple Acres.
"Every night for the past four nights," Applejack explained, "my family and I keep hearing cat sounds. It was driving Winona crazy."
"Did you find these cats making the noise?" Twilight wondered.
"Nope. This is more puzzling than a bear trying to find its den when Winter comes."
Twilight then has an idea. "I'll come over your place tonight, Applejack. Together, we'll solve this mystery."
"You'll do that for me, Twilight?" Applejack asked.
"Of course. I'll also call Sunset Shimmer and Rainbow Dash to help you too."
The two friends embrace each other in a loving hug. Later, Twilight and Sunset walk around the barn as the sun goes down.
"Are you sure about this, Twi?" Sunset wondered quietly.
"Of course." Twilight answered softly. "One of those meows is near the barn. Big Mac is stationed in there. As soon as we hear the meows, I'll whistle for him to shine the spotlight."
"I get it. This way, we'll know who's making that racket."
"Right. Meanwhile, Rainbow and Applejack are on the other side of the house doing their own stakeout."
The girls waited for twenty minutes to make a move. Just then, a loud meow was heard. Twilight gave a loud whistle, and Big Macintosh turned on a spotlight. Twilight and Sunset saw what looked like a cat like person wearing a leather jacket and black tights with rip designs.
"No way!" Sunset Shimmer shouted. "Toralei Stripe!"
Twilight looked shocked. "Monster High's residential mean girl? Wow!"
Sunset walked up to the mischievous Toralei. "So, you were causing those noises. Why?!"
"Things got a little boring back home." The werecat confessed. "So, I decided to do a little traveling."
"Why bother the Apple family?" Twilight asked. "They don't harm anybody."
"You're right, Twilight Sparkle. But, it was so much fun. That dog of theirs, Winona, barked her head off. It was hysterical."
"And, you weren't alone!" Applejack called out as she and Rainbow Dash came out with two more werecats.
"We found these two roaming outside the cornfield." Rainbow added. "Are these friends of yours?"
Sunset recognized the duo. "Purrsephone and Meowlody. Toralei's werecat sisters."
The two sisters ran to join Toralei. Twilight walks up to the trio. "I think you three better get lost or I'll call my brother."
Toralei Stripe started getting nervous. "Your brother is Officer Shining Armor. Right?"
"That's right." Twilight answered as she pulls out her smartphone.
Toralei turned to her comrades. "Purrsephone, Meowlody, SCAT!"
The three werecats zipped away from Sweet Apple Acres as Twilight and her friends watch with delight.
"Well, now that those critters scattered off," Applejack said, "how about I have Granny Smith whip up some hot chocolate."
The other girls nodded as they went back into the house.
On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo exited out of the movie theater with smiles on their faces.
"That was awesome!" Scootaloo cheered. "That new Daring Do movie rocked!"
"It sure enough did." Apple Bloom agreed. "The most shocking moment involved that nasty Dr. Callabreon."
"You mean when he joined Daring Do on this adventure," Sweetie Belle said, "and stopped his former henchmen?"
The three girls soon heard the voice of another girl answering Sweetie Belle's question. "That's what she's talking about."
They were approved by what looks like a wolf girl with flowing red hair and wearing a blue jacket and black and yellow outfit. Scootaloo recognized the wolf girl. "Howleen!"
"What's up, Scootaloo?" The wolf girl greeted as they give each other a hug.
"That's Clawdeen Wolf's sister. Right?" Sweetie Belle asked.
"She sure is." Apple Bloom answered.
Howleen Wolf approached the other girls. "Hi, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle. Nice to see you two."
"We didn't know you were watching the movie, Howleen." Apple Bloom said.
"I sure was. Daring Do is one of the greatest heroes ever."
Later, the four girls relaxed having burgers at an outdoor seating area. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon joined them.
"How was the movie?" Diamond asked while sipping on a milkshake.
"It was awesome!" Scootaloo replied. "When Daring Do was bound and gagged by ruthless thugs, she was saved by their former boss, Dr. Callabreon."
"You mean Callabreon is a good guy now?"
"I reckon so." Apple Bloom responded.
"I'm surprised that you were there too, Howleen." Silver Spoon said as she takes a few french fries. "Do you like Daring Do as we do?"
"You called it, Silver Spoon." Howleen answered. "Me and my sister, Clawdeen, visited Rainbow Dash last week. And, she showed us her Daring Do book collection."
"Did you read through one of those books?" Diamond asked.
"I read book number one, Diamond Tiara. Now I know why Rainbow Dash likes her so much."
The six girls chuckled and continued their lunch as they enjoyed each other's company.
Twilight and her friends were enjoying a day in the athletic park. They soon saw Flash Sentry at one of the basketball courts with someone else.
"Hi, Flash." Twilight called out.
Flash saw the girls, called a time out, and went over to them. "Hey, Twilight. What's up?"
"Those are pretty good moves out there."
"Are you getting ready for the big basketball game at school next weekend?" Pinkie Pie asked.
"I sure am." Flash answered. "And, I have a partner to help me out."
Flash signaled someone to come over. It turned out to be what looks like a werewolf wearing a tank top and black shorts. Rainbow Dash recognized who it is. "Hey, Claw'd! What's up?"
"Hi there, Rainbow Dash." Claw'd replied as he high fives Rainbow.
Twilight was surprised to hear that name. "Claw'd? As in Claw'd Wolf? This I did not expect."
"You got it, elegant little lady." Claw'd replied.
Rarity blushed. "That's nice of you to say that."
"Hey, Flash." Sunset Shimmer said as she approached Flash Sentry. "I never thought to see you play with a werewolf."
"I know it looks weird." Flash replied. "But, I need help to work on my basketball skills. And, that's where Claw'd comes in."
Claw'd soon continues the explanation. "Flash told me about his problems. And, I figured to help him out. I have pretty good skills myself."
"That's right." Fluttershy figured. "We saw that casketball game Spectra broadcasted from Monster High. You were great."
"Thanks, Fluttershy. Timber Spruce is practicing for the game too. My bro, Duece, is helping him."
"Oh." Applejack blurted. "Duece Gorgon. If I'm not mistaken, he's Cleo DeNile's boyfriend."
Sunset looked at the other court. "Hey, guys. There are Timber and Duece over there."
They saw Timber Spruce and Duece Gorgon in another court. As the girls leave, Flash and Claw'd went back to their practice. Timber soon sank a basket in the other court.
On a bright Saturday afternoon, at a local coffee place, a charming teenage girl with sky blue hair adjusts her glasses as she works on her computer. Twilight, Sunset, and Rainbow walk in and sees the girl.
"Ghoulia!" Twilight calls out. "This is a surprise."
The girl named Ghoulia gives a gentle moan as she waves to Twilight and her friends.
Ghoulia nods as Sunset Shimmer comes to the crew. "What brings you to this place, Ghoulia?"
Ghoulia takes out a small tablet, types something in the tablet. Soon , the tablet begins to speak with a gentle woman's voice. "I was looking for a quiet place to study for my science test. This coffee place seems to be perfect for me."
Sunset looks at Ghoulia's laptop. "I can see why you needed to study. This element table can confuse anyone."
Ghoulia nods in agreement as she continues to study. Fifteen minutes later, the zombie girl closes her laptop, puts it away, and joins the girls. Just then, Trixie enters the place.
"The great and powerful Trixie has arrived!" Trixie called out.
Everyone looks at Trixie. Ghoulia's tablet started talking again. "What do we owe the honor of this arrival, Trixie?"
Trixie spotted the zombie girl. "Hello, Ghoulia. I see you have that text to speech app on that tablet. Good way to break the speech barrier."
Ghoulia nods as Twilight speaks up. "What DO you want, Trixie?"
Trixie got a little sad. "I just missed the bus. Now, I'm going have to walk home."
Everybody feels Trixie's pain. Rainbow Dash speaks up. "I wish any of us can help. But, we live far from your home."
Ghoulia stood up and raised her hand.
"You'll going to take me home?" Trixie asked. Ghoulia nodded and leads Trixie outside.
Minutes later, Ghoulia and Trixie cruise down the road on Ghoulia's scooter. When they pulled up in front of Trixie's house, Trixie took off her helmet, stepped off the scooter, and gave Ghoulia a deserved hug. "Thanks, Ghoulia. I appreciate this."
Ghoulia gives a gentle moan as she waves goodbye to the great and powerful one. Ghoulia rides off as Trixie looks on. "It's good to see someone work around their handicaps."
"Are the three of y'all just going to sit there crying?" Applejack asked. She sees her sister, Apple Bloom, sitting on the couch with tears in her eyes.
"I can't help it, sis." Apple Bloom answered sadly. "Me and my friends were going to the ice skating rink for some fun since it's Winter."
"Just as we were going in," Sweetie Belle continued, "that bully, Babs Seed, lied about the three of us, and had the guards kick us out!"
Scootaloo wiped the tears from her eyes. "At least Rarity was there to take us home. Now, we have nothing to do!"
Applejack feel bad for the three girls being double crossed like that. "I'm sorry about that, girls. But, there's still fun to have during Winter. There's plenty to do outside. There's plenty of snow, you know."
Apple Bloom was still upset. "What kind of fun can we have outside?"
Granny Smith came into the room. "Applejack, someone is here to see ya."
In steps a sky blue skinned girl with glittery white hair with colorful streaks. Her outfit is a glittery dress with colorful angles and fuzzy boots. Applejack knows who it is. "Howdy, Abbey!"
"Hello, Applejack." The visitor greeted. The two girls embraced with a warm hug.
"Oh my goodness." Sweetie Belle said. "I heard of this person. She's Abbey Bominable. A real ice maiden."
"I guess this weather is her kind of environment." Apple Bloom said.
"Of course, Apple Bloom. Abbey is the daughter of the Yeti."
Scootaloo got shocked. "The Yeti?!"
"Yes, young one." Abbey replied. "The Yeti. Also known as the abominable snowman."
"That's probably where you got your name."
"You might say that."
"So, what brings you here to Sweet Apple Acres, Abbey?" Applejack wondered.
"I heard what happened to your sister and her friends." Abbey explained. "It's not right to be thrown out for no reason."
"You got that right, Abbey." Apple Bloom said sadly.
"I was just telling them that there's stuff to do outside." Applejack explained. "But, they don't believe it."
Abbey soon looked at the three sad girls. "Is that so? Well, with my help, Applejack and her brother, Big Macintosh, will prove you girls wrong."
The three girls looked skeptical. Outside, the girls are on top of a snowy hill, sitting on sleds. Abbey Bominable is with them.
"Riding down a hill like this on sleds is always fun during the Winter." Abbey said.
"We hope you're right." Sweetie Belle said with concern.
The girls prepared as Abbey gave them the signal. "Ready, GO!"
They pushed themselves until they are going down. As they slide down the hill, they felt a rush they never thought they would have. As they hit the bottom of the hill, they got very excited.
"That was awesome!" Scootaloo shouted. "I never thought we'd have fun without video games."
Sweetie Belle brushed the snow off her coat. "You said it. Going down the hill was quite an adrenaline rush!"
At a frozen pond, the three girls practiced their ice skating. Applejack, Big Mac, and Abbey watch them carefully.
"I'm glad the pond is frozen enough for ice skating." Applejack said.
"Eeyup." Big Mac added.
"It's good to see those girls with smiles on their faces." Abbey replied.
Soon, the three girls made snow sculptures. Apple Bloom carved up a walrus. Scootaloo crafted a basic snowman. And, Sweetie Belle carved a likeness of Monster High's school crest.
"Wow!" Apple Bloom said. "You even got that skull right."
"I got a pretty good memory about the symbol of Monster High." Sweetie Belle explained.
Granny Smith then approached the three girls. "How about coming in for some hot chocolate? Applejack, Abbey, and Big Mac are waiting inside."
"Sure thing, Granny." Apple Bloom replied.
"I'm starting to get chilly myself." Scootaloo added. "Let's go."
Inside, everyone enjoyed hot chocolate by a nice warm fire.
"Next time we gather, let's have Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara join us." Sweetie Belle suggested.
"Good idea." Apple Bloom replied. " There is one other thing about winter we could all get involved with."
"Yeah." Scootaloo said. "Snowball fights!"
The girls had a good laugh as Applejack, Big Mac, and Abbey relaxed with their own mugs of hot cocoa.
"It's good to see those girls feel much better." Applejack said.
"Eeyup." Big Mac added. "This makes up for the loss they had earier."
"Friends," Abbey announced as she raised her mug, "here's to a grand, fun filled winter."
Applejack and company raised their mugs, saluting the fun that Apple Bloom and her friends had.
In her pajamas, Sunset Shimmer laid down on her couch, box of tissues on the table by her, and talks to Twilight on her phone, connected to a charger.
"I feel so sick, Twilight." Sunset said with a nasly, weak voice. "Looks like I won't be joining you at the movies. Ah-Choo!"
"That was one nasty sneeze." Twilight's voice replied. "I'm sure it's just a 24 hour bug. Just get some rest. Bye, Sunset."
"Bye, Twi." Sunset said as she hangs up and puts it on the table.
Guess I'll be by myself for a while. Sunset thought to herself. I better get something from the fridge.
"Stay where you are, Sunset Shimmer." An Irish female voice called out. "I'm here for you."
Sunset was startled to hear someone in her apartment. She saw a gentle looking girl with black hair, wearing a green outfit, and has pure white eyes.
"Scarah Screams!" Sunset yelped. "I didn't expect you here."
"I heard that you weren't feeling good." Scarah explained. "So, I decided to keep ya company."
"How did you get here anyway?"
"Your nature lover friend, Fluttershy, brought me here."
Scarah sits on the couch, next to Sunset. "Poor girl. You look very sad."
"I am sad, Scarah." Sunset replied. "I hate...I ha...Ah..Ah..AH CHOO!" Sunset grabbed a tissue and blew her nose. "I hate being sick. Ah Choo!"
"Don't worry, Sunset." Scarah said as she puts her hand on Sunset's head. "You do feel a bit warm. But, some rest and food should help you out."
Sunset have a weak but satisfied smile. Later, as Sunset watched some TV, Scarah set up a table with two pieces of rye bread and a glass of milk.
"Is it lunch time?" Sunset asked.
"It certainly is, my friend." Scarah answered. "The main entree will be coming."
Just then, a bowl of egg drop soup and a spoon floated in the air, and landed on Sunset's table.
"Is Trixie here, and is she doing this with her magic?" Sunset wondered.
A young man wearing a bluish gray outfit suddenly appeared and answered her question. "I wouldn't say that."
Sunset's eyes widened as she recognized the young man. "Invisibilly! When did you show up?"
"Eight minutes ago." Invisibilly replied. "Scarah told me about you getting sick. And, asked me to bring some soup for you."
"I figured some soup will help you feel a bit better." Scarah added.
Sunset took a spoon full of soup, and tasted it. A big smile came on her face. "Mmmm. This egg drop soup is delicious. Thanks, guys."
"Our pleasure, Sunset." Invisibilly said. "Just get well soon."
Sunset continues to enjoy her lunch as Scarah and Invisibilly keep her company. The next day, Sunset meets Twilight and the other girls at the pizza parlor.
"I see you're feeling much better." Twilight noticed.
"I sure do!" Sunset said happily. "You were right. It was a 24 hour bug."
"At least you know it wasn't that bad."
Fluttershy came by to comfort Sunset. "Aren't you glad I called Scarah Screams to take care of you?"
"I sure am." Sunset praised. "I'm also glad that her boyfriend came over too."
"You mean Invisibilly?" Rainbow Dash blurted. "Yeah, he's one decent dude."
As everyone enjoyed their pizza, Limestone Pie came in, and went to speak to Pinkie. "Hey, sis."
"Hi, Limestone." Pinkie Pie cheered. "What brings you here?"
"Does Fluttershy still has that phone number? Marble came down with a cold. And, I think Scarah Screams can cheer her up just like she did with Sunset."
Rainbow Dash waved goodbye to Spitfire and Soarin Skies as she left the soccer field, and went home.
I can't wait for tomorrow. Rainbow Dash thought. We're going to win for sure.
Suddenly, she twisted her ankle as she passed a bench.
"Ow!" Dash yelped. She sat down on the bench and looked at her right ankle. "My ankle is hurting badly. I guess I'll be missing that soccer game tomorrow."
Rainbow sat with tears in her eyes when she was approached by what looks like a female centaur wearing a red jacket and a black hat. She recognized the centaur. "Avea Trotter. Good to see you."
"Hi, RD." Avea said as she hugged the injured soccer player. "I saw you crying. What's wrong?"
"I just twisted my ankle." Rainbow said sadly. "It hurts so bad, I'll be out of action for a while."
Avea Trotter felt her pain. "Wow. That's got to be bad."
"That's putting it mildly." Tears begin to welp in her eyes again. "Now, I can't play soccer tomorrow!"
Rainbow felt helpless as Avea tried to comfort her. "Don't feel bad, Rainbow. This hybrid girl is here for you."
"Hybrid?" Dash yelped. Then, she realized something. "That's right. You're part centaur, part harpy. Hence, the wings on your back."
The two were joined by a winged skeleton girl wearing a colorful dress.
"Bonita Femur." Rainbow called out. "This is another surprise."
"Hello, Rainbow Dash." Bonita said as she sits next to her. "Sprains are scary to any athlete."
The athletic girl held onto her injured ankle. "I know. Ow. Ow! This is a nightmare."
Soon, a floating mermaid came behind Avea to help calm Rainbow down. "You have nothing to worry with us helping out."
"Wow!" Rainbow yelped. "Sirena Von Boo. The ghostly mermaid."
Sirena giggled as she gave Dash a hug. "I like that description. Aren't you glad we came along?"
"You bet, Sirena. At least I have company to help me through this."
The voice of a young man joined in. "And, I'll help out big time."
In steps a gray skinned young man with a horn on his head. Rainbow knows who it is. "Neighthan Rot. You're a sight for sore eyes."
"Thanks, Rainbow Dash. By the looks of you holding your ankle, your eyes aren't the only things that are sore."
Rainbow nodded sadly. Neighthan Rot touched her ankle, making her twitch in pain. His horn glowed for about fifteen seconds.
"Okay, Dash." Neighthan said. "Try to walk."
Rainbow slowly got up. When she stood up, she realized her ankle doesn't hurt anymore.
"My ankle!" Rainbow Dash realized. "It's not hurting anymore. How did it happen?"
Avea gave an explanation. "Neighthan's zombie side may make him clumsy. But, his unicorn side helps him heal others."
"That's great. Now, I can play soccer again." Dash gives the hybrid boy a hug. "Thanks, Neighthan."
"You're welcome, Rainbow Dash." Neighthan said. "I wish you luck tomorrow."
Rainbow slowly walks from the bench as she waves to her new friends. "Bye, hybrids. And, thanks for the help."
The hybrids proudly watch Rainbow Dash head for home as she is grateful for their support.
Rarity got dressed for a big social event at Canterlot City. But, she still has a problem as she looks in the mirror.
"I have to leave in ten minutes." Rarity said to herself. "And, I still have to brush my hair and put on my make up." She begins to panic. "I'll never make it in time!"
"Rarity!" Sweetie Belle said from behing the bedroom door. "There's somebody here to to see you."
"Now's not the right time for visitors, Sweetie Belle." Rarity replied with tears in her eyes.
"But, she wants to help you get ready for tonight."
Just when Rarity was about to respond, a light green skinned girl with pink hair and snakes in her hair stepped in.
"Viperene Gorgon!" Rarity barked. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to help you." The snake girl said.
"Help me?"
Viperene told Rarity about her visit. "Your sister called me and told me about this social event in Canterlot City. And, how you're worried about missing out. So, I'm going to help you get ready."
"How can you get me ready before the limo can get here?" Rarity asked.
"With my snakes helping me, it won't be a problem."
Rarity sits down in front of her mirror as Viperene and her snakes grab some make up and a hair brush.
"If we can get my best client, Ellisabat, ready for the movies," Viperene said to Rarity, "we can get you ready for your big night."
Viperene and her snakes brushed Rarity's hair, applied lipstick, eye shadow, blush, and so on. Minutes later, Rarity looked at her make up job.
"I don't believe it." Rarity said with satisfaction. "You actually did it!" She then looked at her clock. "And, with two minutes to spare."
"Now, you're ready." Viperene replied. "Get out there, Rarity. And, knock them dead."
Rarity gave Viperene Gorgon a hug and made her way outside. She gave Sweetie Belle a sweet kiss. "Good call, Sweetie Belle."
Rarity goes outside as the limo arrives. Sweetie Belle and Viperene watch as Rarity heads out.
"Good work, Viperene." Sweetie Belle said as the two girls give each other a high five.
The snake girl was very satisfied with the results. "Thanks, Sweetie Belle."
It was a nice day at the Diner. Pinkie Pie was doing her job well as a waitress. Everybody was talking, enjoying each other's company, and enjoy their meals. But, at one table, Sunset Shimmer was sitting with tears in her eyes.
"Howdy, Sunset." Applejack greeted. She notices that Sunset was upset. "What's wrong?"
"Did you hear about 50s Dance Night happening at the school auditorium tonight?" Sunset replied.
"I sure enough did."
"That bruiser, Hoops, said that I can't go." Sunset starts crying. "He said he's going to have everyone think of only that Fall formal nightmare!"
Applejack felt her pain as she gives her a hug. "Poor Sunset. That is so not fair."
Derpy Hooves then came along to the table. Sunset sees her coming. "What can I do for you?"
Derpy took a napkin and wiped the tears from Sunset's eyes. "I was asked to give you this note."
Sunset read the piece of paper Derpy gave her. It read, Please, come to Canterlot City Park tonight at 7pm. You are in for a unique experience.
Applejack noticed the note and realized something. "Hey, there's an Indian trible event happening there. Many tribes will be be represented there."
This caught Sunset off guard. Who would invite her to this kind of event? Later, Sunset arrived at the park. She saw native Americans representing many tribes. There are stands with stuff to buy. Stuff like beads, blankets and traditional clothing.
"I admit," Sunset said, "this is impressive."
Suddenly, Sunset is approached by girl wearing a flowing red shirt, and a headband with horns on it. When Sunset saw that she has the face of a deer, she knew who it is. "Isi Dawndancer!"
"Hello, Sunset Shimmer." Isi greeted as the two girls gave each other a hug.
"I had a feeling you'd show up for something like this." Sunset figured.
"And, I'm glad I got you to come here." Isi added.
Sunset realized something shocking. "You sent me that note?"
"Yes, I did. I heard about what happened to you. I figured that I can cheer you up."
"Oh yeah? How?"
"Just follow me."
Isi and Sunset were with an audience watching some native dancing. They were entranced by the movement of the dancers. A tribal chief stepped up with a microphone on his hand. "It is now time for audience participation. We would like it if someone from this audience join our dancers for this next dance.”
The chief saw Isi and addressed her. "I see that we have Monster High representative, Isi Dawndancer with us. Would you like to dance upon the stage?"
Isi stood up and felt honored. "I would love to. May I bring miss Sunset Shimmer with me?"
"You may. The more the merrier, as the old saying goes."
Isi lead Sunset up on the stage. The dancers resumed their dancing. Isi and Sunset followed their moves. Although nervous, Sunset followed smoothly and beautifully. She felt very relaxed. Later that night, the girls left the park.
"Thanks for this night, Isi." Sunset said.
"You're welcome." Isi replied. "I'm very happy that we participated in that dance earlier."
"Me too. This is one memorable night. Thanks to you."
Sunset is right. Thanks to Isi Dawndancer, her night did not go to waste.
Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo are fitting the metal floor to a set of small tires. Providing the heat for welding is Heath Burns, the fire elemental student from Monster High.
"Thanks for helping us with this go kart, Heath." Rainbow Dash praised.
"You're welcome, Rainbow Dash." Heath said. "I'll bet your little friend, Scootaloo, is looking forward to this go kart race coming this weekend."
"You bet!" Scootaloo shouted. "Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle are coming over later with more parts for this racer. Then, I'll be ready for that race."
Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle soon helped Scootaloo finished the go kart. A magenta body with a bright rainbow in the middle. The three friends liked their project as Rainbow and Heath watch with interest.
"I heard that Scootaloo is taking this race personally.” Heath stated.
"Definitely." Rainbow replied. "Other kids like Rumble and Babs Seed bragged to Scoots that they can be better than her in anything."
Heath got do upset, he flared up. "That's just not right!" Heath's fire turns off. "I'm guessing she wants to do something about it."
"You bet. Hearing that those two are taking part in this go kart race, Scootaloo decided to have a go kart of her own. That's why you were called to help out."
Later, the weekend arrives. The go kart race is all set. Racers and their karts are lined up, ready to go. In the stands, Rainbow, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Heath are among the spectators. They all saw two of the racers.
"You were right, Rainbow." Heath noticed. "Rumble and Babs Seed are taking part in this race."
Miss Cherilee came to send the racers off. "Ready, set..." She lifts the gate to send down the karts. "GO!"
The karts raced down the hill with the spectators cheering them on. Scootaloo steered her kart carefully. She passed Babs Seed, and felt happy.
"I don't believe it!" Babs grunted. "But, there's still Rumble she has to deal with."
Meanwhile, Rumble swerved back and forth, preventing other racers from passing. But, when a sharp turn came ahead, he turned so hard, he crashed into a hay bail used as a barricade. He was okay. But, was a little dizzy. The other racers passed him, with Scootaloo in the lead.
"Oh, man!" Rumble shouted. "Well, back to the old drawing board."
Scootaloo crossed the finish line, and won the race. All of her friends came to congratulated her. Rumble and Babs Seed watched Scootaloo receive a trophy for her victory. Heath Burns came over to join the celebration.
"You sure put those braggers in their place, Scoots." Heath said happily.
"You said it, Heath." Scootaloo replied.
Rumble couldn't help but be happy for Scootaloo. But, one thing is on his mind. "Just wait until next year."
At a trampoline center, Mr. Cranky Doodle speaks to Twilight and her friends.
"Okay, girls." Mr. Cranky Doodle informed. "It's your first time in one of these places. So, I want you to be careful."
"Of course we'll be careful." Twilight said.
"Yeah." Pinkie added. "Even I'll be careful. And, I'm possibly one of the most reckless ones."
Mr. Cranky Doodle looked at the girls, and made an announcement. "Just to make sure sure everything's and all of you are safe, I asked for a very special safety guard."
In steps a girl who looks like a stone statue. She has pink and teal streaked hair, pointed ears. And wings on her back.
"Do you think she can keep us safe from harm around here?" Fluttershy wondered.
Rochelle approached the nature lover. "But, of course. If I can keep Monster High safe, I can keep things safe here. Let's check on the trampolines. Nes Pa?"
As Rochelle and the girls make sure the equipment is sturdy, Sunset Shimmer got a little nervous. I wouldn't be surprised if Mr. Cranky Doodle will have Rochelle Goyle keep me away from the others.
When everything was safe, the girls took off their shoes and started bouncing. They were giggling, flipping around, and making sure they don't hurt each other. Rochelle made sure there was no problems. Sunset was watching the fun, tears in her eyes. Mr. Cranky Doodle looked at her with concern. On the weekend, Twilight and her friends were at Sunset's favorite coffee place.
"That was awesome!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "That trampoline place was fun."
"I agree, darling." Rarity added. "It was indeed invigorating."
Twilight was concerned. "I wonder why Sunset didn't join us."
"That's a good question." Applejack said.
Outside, Sunset sat at an outside table, still upset. Rochelle Goyle approached the saddened teenager. "Madam Shimmer, may I have a word with you?"
Sunset looked at Rochelle still with tears in her eyes. "What did I do wrong?"
"Nothing, my friend." Rochelle sat down next to Sunset. "Mr. Cranky Doodle wondered why you didn't join your friends on the trampolines."
"I thought he doesn't want me to have fun."
"What do you mean, Mon Ami?"
Sunset wiped the tears off her eyes. "I'm afraid he still hasn't forgave me for that Fall Formal nightmare. He probably still wants to have a grudge against me."
Sunset feels very sad as Rochelle comforts her. "Come, my friend. If your friends and the staff of that school can forgive you, Monsuier Cranky Doodle will too."
"Now that I think about it, Principal Celestia saw that I've improved a lot since that day. I guess Mr. Cranky Doodle put that moment in the past too."
Sunset felt better as she and Rochelle hugged each other. They both stood up as Rochelle makes a suggestion. "Come, Sunset. Let's join your friends."
The two girls go inside to join Twilight and the others.
Twilight and her friends made their way to an old forgotten playground. They carried some garbage bags, rakes, clippers, and other cleaning tools. They stopped when they were confronted by a girl with teal, yellow and black streaked hair. Her clothes are like Egyptian royalty, including mummy wrappings.
"Hello, girls." The girl greeted. "What are you up to today?"
"Great." Sunset said with disgust. "Nefera DeNile."
"Isn't she the sister of Cleo DeNile?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"Indeed." Rarity answered. "This lady is a real troublemaker."
"For your information," Twilight explained to Nefera, "we've been asked to do a special favor."
"Eeyup." Applejack added. "We are going to clean up this old playground so that new equipment can be put in."
"We're doing this for the kids!" Fluttershy stated.
Nefera leaves the area. "It's going to be a big job. Good luck, girls. You'll need it."
The girls watch Nefera leave. But, are not intimidated.
"Never mind Nefera's remarks." Twilight said. "We have work to do."
The girls worked hard on the playground. Applejack and Fluttershy raked up leaves, Rainbow Dash picked up trash, Fluttershy and Rarity straightened up the picnic area, and Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer removed the vines from the old playground equipment. Thirty minutes later, the playground is getting cleaner.
"Keep up the good work, y'all." Applejack said. "We're almost done."
From a distance, Nefera watched the activities as Sonata Dusk approached her.
"Looks like they'll be done soon, Nefera." Sonata said. "Especially with Twilight leading them."
"Don't count on it, Sonata." Nefera replied as she pulls out a crystal. "I'd like to call this Twilight Sparkle's bad luck charm."
Nefera turns the crystal, and light green waves spill into the playground. Before Twilight and her friends know it, leaves blew everywhere, the cut vines wrapped around the girls, and the cut grass spill all over the ground.
"What happened?" Pinkie asked as she removed the vines off her body.
"I'm with you, Pinkie." Twilight said. "This is not as messy as earlier. But, YIKES!"
Rarity had a thought. "I have a suspicious feeling that Nefera DeNile is behind this."
Nefera steps out to rub their problem in. "Looks like this disaster area is staying closed."
The vicious girl chuckles as she left. Applejack looked at her watch. "That equipment will be here in one hour. We better get this mess out of here."
Everyone went back to cleaning. Pinkie used her magic to clear any rocks in the way. Rainbow used her speed to pick up the leaves. Twilight and Applejack used their magic abilities to lift up the picnic tables and brushed off the grass. Fluttershy enlisted her animal friends to help.
Ninety minutes later, Nefera arrives and sees Principal Celestia cut the ribbon, opening the playground. When Nefera saw a group of kids coming, she tried to stop them. "I forbid you to enter! Turn back! Stop!"
But, the kids ran to the playground, trampling Nefera long the way. Soon, the playground was bustling with activity as the Mane Seven watched with happiness.
"Looks like the kids are very happy." Twilight said happily.
"They sure left an impression on Nefera DeNile." Rainbow Dash added.
Meanwhile, Nefera recovers from her ordeal as Sonata Dusk approached her again. "Wow. Looks like that crystal turned out to be YOUR bad luck charm."
Sonata chuckled as Nefera still recovers. "Hmmph! I asked for it."
Photo Finish arrives at a beautiful lake, readying her camera. She soon spotted a humanoid sea creature wearing a red cap and jacket, and a Scottish kilt. Photo approached the lady and tapped her shoulder.
"Lorna McNessie!" Photo announced. "This a pleasant surprise."
The Scottish girl responded. "Photo Finish! Good to see you."
Photo and Lorna hugged each other. Both happy to run into each other at this lake.
"What brings you to this lake, Lorna?" Photo Finish asked.
"I heard that some beautiful golden catfish come once in a while." Lorna answered. "I came here to see them."
"That's why I'm here too. And, also take pictures of the activities."
"I'm afraid I'll mess up your picture." Lorna answered sadly. "You know I can't resist a photo bomb opportunity."
Lorna went down on her knees, crying softly. Photo soon took out her phone.
"Who are your calling, Photo?" Lorna whimpered.
"My cohorts, Violet Blur and Pixel Pizzazz." Photo replied. "I have an idea."
Minutes later, Pixel Pizzazz finished tying Lorna to a tree. The Scottish traveler got nervous. "Are you sure this is necessary?"
"Calm down." Pixel said. "Photo figured that if you're restrained in some way, you won't ruin this picture with your photo bombing."
"Then, how will I see the catfish?"
Pixel sets up a laptop for Lorna. "Violet is setting a video camera to get pictures of the lake. You can see the catfish on this screen."
At the lake, Violet set up her camera to transmit to the laptop. Photo watches the lake carefully. Suddenly, some golden catfish appeared. As Photo clicked her camera, Lorna watched the catfish through the laptop.
Photo is right! Lorna realized. She's taking pictures, and I'm not stepping in for a photo bombing. And, I got a good view of the catfish too.
After being untied, Lorna looks at the pictures with Photo.
"Those are beautiful, Photo." Lorna said happily. "I guess being restrained helped both of us. Good news is Violet and Pixel made sure I didn't miss any action."
"Glad you appreciated everything, Lorna." Photo replied. The avid photographer has an idea. "How would you like to do a photo bomb with me?"
"Really? How?"
Photo got out her selfie stick, and attached it to her phone. When all is ready, she took a picture. And, as Photo figured, Lorna zipped into the picture. They both loved the results.
"This turned out grand." Lorna praised.
"Thank you, my friend." Photo replied. "I'll be sure to send you a copy."
The sun rises in a park as Rainbow Dash, dressed in a light teal tai chi outfit, moves slowly and camly. Moving with her is a girl with long green hair, yellow eyes, and skin that resembles scales. Her outfit is a regal garb, and she has a swinging tail. After fifteen minutes, Rainbow bowed to the girl.
"Thanks for the tai chi workout, Jinafire." Rainbow said.
"It is my pleasure, Rainbow Dash." Jinafire replied as she bowed back. "I am very honored to help you prepare for the soccer match coming this weekend."
The rest of the Rainbooms arrived, and are surprised to see Rainbow in her current outfit.
"Morning, Rainbow Dash." Twilight Sparkle greeted. "I didn't know you do tai chi."
"That's right, Twi." Rainbow replied. "This is how I have been doing well in the soccer field."
"Wow!" Applejack blurted. "You are full of surprises."
"You bet, AJ. And, it doesn't hurt to have Jinafire here help me."
Everyone saw Rainbow's tai chi friend, and realized who it is.
"Oh my goodness." Rarity said with astonishment. "Jinafire Long."
Sunset Shimmer got surprised. "Jinafire Long? No kidding?"
Jinafire walked up to the former baddie. "It's me all right, Sunset Shimmer. Pleasure to meet you."
"You got Rainbow Dash interested in tai chi?" Twilight wondered.
Jinafire nodded as she gave an explanation. "When soccer season started, Rainbow Dash felt a little stressed out. Unsure about her performance, I approached her and explained that tai chi can help her."
"I was a little hesitant about it at first." Dash continued. "But, after trying tai chi for a while, I felt more relaxed. I even do tai chi before bedtime."
"Jinafire sure makes a good teacher." Applejack figured. "Not bad for a dragon."
Fluttershy got shocked. "A dragon?!"
"Chinese dragon to be precise." Jinafire added.
Pinkie Pie walks up to Jinafire with a hot dog in her hand. "You, a dragon? I don't believe it."
"Give me your hot dog," Jinafire said as she picks up a long stick, "and I'll prove it. The hot dog, not the bun."
Pinkie gave Jinafire the hot dog. Poking a stick through it, she blew green flames from her mouth, and heated the hot dog. Jinafire then returned the hot dog to Pinkie.
"Wow!" Pinkie shouted as she enjoyed her newly heated hot dog. "That's proof enough for me."
Everyone shared a good laugh. Later, Rainbow Dash moved slowly in her bedroom, watching a tai chi video. As soon as the video was over, she puts down her phone, and places her pajamas on the bed.
Like Twilight and the others figured, Dash thought. I am full of surprises.
"I can't believe that you and I are going to perform next week." Octavia said to her roommate, Vinyl Scratch.
"I know, Octavia." Vinyl replied. "Your elegant cello playing, and my rocking identity, DJ Pon-3, are going to rock that night"
"You said that you have somebody painting a mural of us to promote this concert."
"I sure did!"
Meanwhile, a normal looking boy with glasses finished painting a portrait of Octavia when the ladies arrive.
"Hi, Vinyl." The young man greeted. "I just finished the portrait of Octavia."
"Thanks, Jackson." Vinyl replied.
Octavia was confused. "Jackson?"
"Yeah, Octavia. Jackson Jekyll. I asked him to paint our portraits, to announce the concert. You and I will finish with the information."
Octavia looked at the portrait, and is impressed. "It's very good. But, Vinyl, where's your portait?"
"That's where my counterpart comes in." Jackson answered. "Though I'm still not used to it."
"Counterpart?"
Vinyl picks up her boom box and prepares to turn it on. "Just watch this."
Vinyl turns on the boom box, music starts playing, and Jackson flashed and transforms into a blue skinned boy with red hair and wearing a red leather jacket.
"What Jackson started," The boy said as he looked at the painting, "I'll finish. Let's rock!"
The young boy started painting, and Octavia got confused. "What's going on?"
Vinyl gave a simple explanation. "Rocking music makes Jackson Jekyll change into Holt Hyde."
"Wow! Jekyll and Hyde. There's a perfect union."
Ten minutes later, Vinyl's portrait is done.
"There you are, ladies." Holt Hyde said. "Ready for you to finish."
"Nice work, Holt." Vinyl praised.
"But," Octavia wondered, "how can Holt transform back?"
"By switching off the music."
Vinyl turned off the boom box. Holt realized what happened. "Oh well, time to go."
In a flash, Holt changed back into Jackson. All three people looked at the portraits.
"I guess Holt is good for something after all." Jackson realized.
"He sure is, dude." Vinyl said.
Octavia looked at the painting, and is impressed. "For a young man with a split personality, he's excellent."
In the Pie House, Igneous Rock Pie shows a rainbow statue to his wife, Cloudy Quartz, and his daughters, Pinkie, Limestone, and Marble.
"Behold, my family." The father said, "a grand present for Maud's birthday."
"That's a wild looking sculpture you and mom made, dad." Pinkie chirped.
"And, as you can tell, Pinkie," Limestone informed. "each color is a different jewel. Red ruby, orange quartz, yellow topaz, green emerald, blue sapphire, indigo obsidian, and purple amethyst."
"That makes it even more sparkly."
"That's one way of looking at it, sis."
Cloudy Quartz hands the statue to Pinkie. "Pinkie, would you please store this in the tool shed?"
Pinkie nods and heads to the backyard. Limestone was a little unsure about Pinkie storing this gift. Outside, Pinkie stands outside the shed as Fluttershy, who was visiting, looks inside. She speaks inside the shed. "Keep it safe."
Fluttershy closes the shed as Limestone arrives.
"Are you sure mom and dad can trust you with that statue, Pinkie?" Limestone wondered. "And, how will your friend, Fluttershy help?"
"Fluttershy has a big surprise set up in case somebody tries to steal it." Pinkie explained.
"Big surprise? What kind?"
"Let's go back inide and decorate for Maud's birthday party." Fluttershy answered. "I'll explain along the way."
As the three girls back in the house, the crafty zombie, Moanica D' Kay, slips into the backyard, and looks at the shed.
That rainbow statue Igneous Rock Pie and his wife, Cloudy Quartz, made is in that tool shed. He made if for Maud for a birthday present. Moanica thought. All I have to do is sneak that statue out of that shed, and plant it at Sweet Apple Acres. There's going to be such an argument between the Pies and the Apples, Applejack and Pinkie Pie won't want to speak to each other anymore.
The nasty zombie cackled wickedly as she opens the shed, Suddenly, a bunch of bees came out of a hive hanging from a ceiling. Moanica was shocked. "Holy frijoles! Bees!"
The bees started to swarm around Moanica. Later, the four Pie Sisters enjoy each other's company at a burger place.
"I would like to thank you all for a satisfactory blrthday." Maud said in her usual monotone manner. "I may not show it, but I'm very grateful for it."
"Did you like the statue mom and dad made for you?" Limestone asked.
"I did. I appreciate the different gemstones used to make a perfect rainbow."
"We figured you would like it." Marble said softly.
Maud had another thought. "Pinkie, I understand that Moanica D' Kay tried to steal the statue."
"She tried." Pinkie replied. "But, thanks to that beehive Fluttershy brought, that vicious zombie blew it."
Everyone cheered to celebrate Maud's birthday. Back at the Pie house, Igneous Rock and Cloudy Quartz treat the many bee stings Moanica suffered from.
"I hope you learned a valuable lesson from this ordeal, Miss Moanica." Igneous Rock stated, "Crime does not pay!"
"I never expected anybody to booby trap that shed with a swarm of bees!" Moanica hissed as she still felt all of those stings.
"Believe us." Cloudy Quartz said as she rubs calamine lotion on Moanica's wounds. "This was one sting operation nobody counted on."
The father and mother had a good laugh as Moanica got disgusted. "Very Funny!"
"Same reason as you are probably. Here to videotape the Daring Do stunt show. I'm going to use the footage to put together a movie project."
Honey gave a pleasant response. "I'm going to videotape this show to show my friends at my school."
Juniper adjusted her glasses. "Your school being Monster High. Right?"
"Sure as a beaver building a dam."
Inside the coliseum, the crowd watches with anticipation. Juniper and Honey included. Soon, the brave explorer, Daring Do, comes out and is greeted by the crowd.
"Hello, adventure fans." Daring Do announced. "Are you ready for..."
Suddenly, a pack of thugs came out and surrounded her. Soon, the rival archeologist, Dr. Caballeron, comes out to see the hero in trouble. But, she fought back. The crowd cheered as Daring Do fight through the thugs.
Honey cheered as she videotapes the action. "Take that, Dr. Caballeron!"
The show went on. Amazing stunts were performed. Jumping on and off vehicles, fights between heroes and villains, and avoiding obstacles. After the show was over, the crowd talked about the show. The videographers looked at each other's videos.
"Wow, Honey!" Juniper cheered. "Great footage. Your buddies at Monster High will love it. Especially with your comments."
"Thanks, Juniper." Honey replied. "Your footage is grand too. You'll make a good movie out of this."
"I think you're right."
As the two girls shook hands, Rainbow Dash snuck in to take their picture.
"Juniper Montage and Honey Swamp together." Rainbow Dash said. "This should be a great team up."
Juniper and Honey laughed, knowing one thing. Rainbow is right.
It was a nice evening at Hoity Toity's estate as a garden party is in progress. Rarity, wearing a lovely yellow gown, and Applejack, wearing her music festival outfit, enjoy the environment.
"Are you surprised that you and Sunset were invited to this party?" Rarity asked.
"Eeyup." Applejack answered. "I'm even more surprised that Gigi Grant was invited too."
"I have shown pictures of Miss Grant to Hoity Toity. He finds her Arabian garb very dignified."
"Really? That's very interesting."
Standing next to a statue, the arabian magic girl, Gigi Grant, poses for Photo finish to to take a picture.
"Thank you, Miss Grant." Photo praised.
"You're welcome, Miss Finish." Gigi said as she spotted Rarity and Applejack approaching. "Hi, Rarity. Howdy, Applejack."
"Howdy, Gigi." Applejack replied. "Having a good time?"
"I sure am. Thanks for letting me join this party."
"Thank Hoity Toity, darling." Rarity said. "He fell in love with your regal outfit."
Gigi blushed as Sunset Shimmer came along. Rarity noticed that Sunset's blue business jacket is wrinkled.
"You won't score any job interviews with your jacket looking like that." Rarity informed.
"I know." Sunset grunted. "I wish this jacket wasn't wrinkled!"
Gigi nodded her head, and the wrinkles on the jacket were gone.
"What the heck?!" Sunset yelped. "How did this happen?"
"Gigi happened." Applejack answered.
Sunset realized what Applejack is talking about. "Of course, Gigi is a genie! She can grant wishes."
"That's right, Sunset." Gigi replied. "Minor ones. But, you should be careful what you wish for. You probably learned what happened to Howleen Wolf."
"I did. Don't worry, Gigi. I'll take your advice seriously."
At another area, Octavia was very upset because her light teal gown had a fruit punch stain on it.
"I told you to be careful not to overfill your glass." Vinyl Scratch advised.
"You did, Vinyl." Octavia replied as Rarity and company approached the roommates. "I'm sorry I didn't listen to you. I wish this stain would disappear!"
Gigi Grant nodded, and the stain vanished. Octavia was surprised as she spotted Gigi. "Did you remove the stain?"
"All I did was grant your wish." Gigi replied.
Octavia gave Gigi a hug. "Thank you, Gigi Grant. That was so nice of you."
Applejack and Rarity smiled, happy that Gigi helped out. The three girls sat at a table enjoying some hero sandwiches.
"You seem to enjoy yourself, Gigi." Rarity praised.
"Yes, I am." Gigi said as she wiped her mouth. "This is a very good night to be here. And, I thank you guys."
"Our pleasure, Gigi." Applejack added.
Suddenly, the infamous Adagio Dazzle approached the trio.
"Hello, Rarity." Adagio greeted in a creepy manner.
"What brings you here, darling?" Rarity wondered.
"I just came to enjoy this shindig." The crafty Dazzling soon spotted Gigi. "Hello, Gigi Grant."
"Hello to you too, Adagio." Gigi responded. "What is your wish?"
Adagio gave a surprising answer. "No wish tonight. I heard what happened to Toralei Stripe when she went wish crazy. I don't want to wind up with a big zit on my forehead. Later."
Adagio left the area. Applejack was surprised. "I never knew Adagio wouldn't take advantage of you like that werecat tried to do."
Gigi smiled. "I guess there are those who know their limits."
Everyone was satisfied with this as they continued to enjoy their food.
Wallflower Blush and Fluttershy take a nice walk in the forest. With the sun shining, and a gentle breeze in the air, the two nature lovers enjoy their time together.
"I'm very happy that you and I are together today." Fluttershy said happily.
"Me too, Fluttershy." Wallflower replied. "And, we couldn't have picked a better time than today."
The two girls came to a lake, took off their shoes, and sat down next to trees, enjoying the atmosphere.
"You know, Fluttershy," Wallflower said as she sat in a cross legged position, "this is the kind of place my friend, Treesa, would like."
"Treesa?" Fluttershy yelped, knowing who Wallflower is talking about. "Treesa Thornwillow? That's a real spirit of the woods."
A gentle female voice responded to Fluttershy's voice. "Thank you."
The two girls turned around, and saw a girl with crimson hair, wood like skin, and vines all over. A big smile came to Wallflower Blush's face.
"Treesa!" Wallflower squealed as she hugged the visitor.
"Hello, Wallflower Blush." Tressa said. She then saw Wallflower's companion. "Fluttershy. I was hoping to meet you."
Fluttershy was surprised to be recognized as Treesa gives her a sweet hug.
"What are you doing here, Treesa?" Wallflower asked.
"I thought I'd take a little trip from my forest home." Treesa answered.
"Really? Who's watching over your home?"
"Don't worry, girls. My sister, Thorna, came over to visit. She said she'll be happy to watch over my home in the Enchanted Garden"
"I'm happy you sisters settled your differences." Fluttershy said.
Treesa soon looked into the woods. "There's something I would like to show you. So, put on your footwear, and follow me."
Wallflower and Fluttershy followed Treesa back into the woods. Soon, the made their way to a clearing when they stopped and looked at a waterfall.
"I explored these woods many times." Fluttershy said. "But, I have never noticed this before."
"Talk about a hidden treasure." Wallflower cheered.
Treesa draped her arms on both girls' shoulders. "I'm happy you two appreciate this scene."
The three nature girls proudly look at the waterfall, knowing they have a good view.
Twilight Sparkle was walking home from the library. Iris Clops, a one eyed honor student from Monster High, walks along with her.
"Thanks for joining me in the library, Iris." Twilight happily said.
"You're welcome, Twilight." Iris replied. "I'm glad to be spending time with a fellow intellectual person."
Twilight blushed as the both stopped at a sports arena.
"I hope you don't mind, Twilight," Iris informed, "I'm meeting my boyfriend here."
"Is your boyfriend an athlete?" Twilight asked.
"You might say that."
Soon, a coach exits the arena followed by a strong looking man with the head of a bull.
"Thanks for your help, Manny." The coach said.
"My pleasure." The bull man replied. "I hope I motivated your team to do good."
As the coach leaves, Iris waved to the bull man. When he waved back, Twilight was shocked.
"What?!" Twilight shouted. "Your boyfriend is Manny Taur?"
"That's right." Iris answered. "He's one of the most gorgeous hunks of Monster High."
"That maybe so. But, what do you find appealing about him?"
Manny came up to answer the question. "I'll give you an answer, Twilight Sparkle. Iris sees something in me no one else can."
"Many see Manny as a big brute." Iris explained as Manny came to her. "But, there's something in Manny that's very charming to me. He and I have been helping each other in many ways."
"A great combination of brawn and brains." Twilight figured.
"Good thinking." Manny praised. "I just helped a coach motivate his football team to do well this season."
Twilight then got an idea. "Can you give a motative speech to anybody, Manny?"
"I sure can." Manny answered. "You have someone in mind?"
"I know a student in my school, Sandalwood, who has been having trouble with his football skills. Maybe you can help him out."
Iris and Manny looked at each other, smiled, and gave Twilight their response.
"I'm sure he can help out, Twilight." Iris said. "And, I'll be glad to help out."
"Lead us to this fellow, Twilight." Manny said. "We'll follow."
Twilight nodded and went on her way, with Iris Clops and Manny Taur right behind her.
Rarity looks at a beautiful outfit on one of her mannequins. It was a sea foam green ruffled shirt, teal vest, long blue skirt, and flowing turquoise cape.
"This is my best work to date." Rarity cheered.
"It's beautiful, sis." Sweetie Belle said. "But, who's it for?"
"You heard of that famous vampire actress, Elissabat. Have you not?"
"I sure did. She came to Canterlot City to film a new movie."
Rarity then gave an announcement. "This outfit is for HER!"
Sweetie Belle's eyes widened when she heard that. "What?! How did this happen?"
"Just hear me out." Rarity explained. "When coming here, Elissabat heard of my talents in fashion. So, she asked me to make a dress to commemorate her newest movie project."
"I heard that she's playing the countess of a tropical kingdom." Sweetie said.
"Yes. Hence, the colors of the ocean."
Just then, there was a knock at the door. Rarity and Sweetie answered the door, and were met by an elegant young woman with flowing black hair and wearing a purple outfit.
"Elissabat!" Rarity squealed. "Come in. Come in."
The famous Hauntleywood actress walked into the house, and is amazed.
"I love your house." Elissabat praised. "You are definitely one of the most elegant people I've met."
"Thank you, darling." Rarity replied. "My sister, Sweetie Belle, was surprised that you're coming over."
Sweetie Belle was quivering with nervousness. She felt a hand on her shoulder.
"Hello, Sweetie Belle." Elissabat greeted. "It's nice to meet you."
"R-R-Really?" Sweetie replied.
"Of course. You wouldn't believe how many young girls come to praise me and all of my hard work."
"Whew!" Sweetie said with relief.
Rarity approached the two girls. "Would you like to see the outfit I made you, Elissabat?"
"Sure thing, Rarity." Elissabat replied. "Lead the way."
Rarity and Elissabat went to the workroom as Sweetie Belle was still in shock.
"Oh wow!" Sweetie Belle thought out loud. "Nobody is going to believe this."
Later, the actress looked at herself in Rarity's creation.
"This is fang-tastic!" Elissabat cheered. "You did a great job capturing the colors of the ocean. This cape is a nice touch."
"Thank you, Elissabat." Rarity replied. "I'm sure the people at Hauntleywood will love this."
"So will my friends at Monster High."
Rarity and Sweetie Belle smiled at Elissabat got out her phone and selfie stick.
"How about a selfie, girls?" Elissabat asked.
"A selfie with you?" Rarity replied. "Really?"
"Sure. I'm sure everyone would like to see the face of the girl who made this outfit. And, Sweetie Belle can join us as well."
Rarity and Sweetie posed with Elissabat in the middle. The actress took the picture, and it came out good. Rarity's friends will be surprised to hear about this day.
Twilight and her friends gathered at her house, all feeling very upset. They were going to an outdoor movie event. But, a sudden downpour came and cancelled the event. The rain had stopped. But, the girls were let down.
"Oh, man!" Pinkie blurted. "I was all set to have fun tonight."
"We all were going to to have fun, Pinkie." Twilight said. "But, that quick rainstorm ruined the night."
"At least, we got home safe." Rarity added as she sipped some hot chocolate. "Besides, the rain and wind would've ruined our chothes and hair."
Fluttershy then saw something glow outside the window.
"Oh my." Fluttershy said. "Something's in your backyard, Twilight."
Twilight heads for the door leading to her backyard. "Let's check it out. The rain is gone anyway."
The girls go into the backyard. Sunset Shimmer looks puzzled. "So, where is that glow?"
An eerie female voice answered Sunset. "The glow is from me."
The girls saw a ghostly girl wearing a purple dress.
"Oh my goodness." Rarity said. "Kiyomi Haunterly!"
"Hello, Rarity." Kiyomi greeted.
The girls all saw the girl Rarity is happy to see.
"Isn't Kiyomi Haunterly the daughter of the Faceless Ghost?" Rainbow Dash wondered.
"That's what I heard." Twilight answered.
Kiyomi floated to Rainbow Dash. "I'm not the only ghost who came to visit."
Another ghost arrived. She wore a white dress and a black cape. Pinkie Pie recognized this ghost. "Wow! River Styxx!"
"Hey, Pinkie Pie." River greeted. "What's up?"
Sunset got nervous as Applejack came to calm her down. "Something the matter, sugar cube?"
"Plenty." Sunset replied. "River Styxx is the daughter of the Grim Reaper."
"I don't think she's here to take anybody's soul, Sunset?"
Suddenly, a female pirate ghost arrived wearing her Captain's jacket and hat. Rainbow Dash saw who it was. "No way! Vandalla Doubloons! The ghostly pirate."
"Ahoy there, Rainbow." Vandalla greeted. "Greet to see ya, my friend."
Twilight Sparkle then spoke up. "What are you ghostly girls doing here?"
"We heard about your movie night getting rained out, Twilight." River imformed.
"Aye!" Vandalla added. "So we figured to float over from the ghost world to cheer you lasses up."
"Y'all came here just to hang out with us?" Applejack asked.
"That's right." Kiyomi answered. "We thought you might need some shoulders to cry on."
Sunset Shimmer spoke up. "Doesn't Porter Geist usually come with you guys?"
"He's busy with painting a mountain scene for one of your museums, Sunset Shimmer."
"Contributing a painting? Much better than tagging on public property walls, I guess."
"Right ya be, Sunset." Vandalla said. "Spectra Vondergeist is with the bloke."
"No doubt to keep him out of trouble." Twilight figured.
As the girls and their ghostly friends enjoy each other, Trixie Lulamoon watches from a distance.
Kiyomi Haunterly, River Styxx, and Vandalla Doubloons. Trixie thought. Talk about a ghostly trio.
Trixie walks off, knowing that Twilight and friends have someone to talk to.
"Who would want to steal stuff from Adagio and then put it in your apartment?" Twilight Sparkle asked.
"Somebody who wants people to think I'm still a bad guy." Sunset Shimmer answered.
"You and her are still on speaking terms. Right?"
"We still are. In fact, she and I are working on a plan to catch this thief."
Soon, Aria Blaze and Sonata Dusk came in to the coffee place and head to Sunset.
"You called, Sunset?" Aria asked.
"I did." Sunset replied. "The three of us are going to catch the thief who's been robbing from Adagio."
"In the middle of Taco day?" Sonata grumbled. "Oh well. What's your idea?"
Sunset relayed her plan to the other two Dazzlings. Later that night, Adagio stepped out of the shower, and went to her bedroom. She saw something was missing. She quickly grabbed her phone and made a call. "Sunset, that thief came and stole a giant stuffed penguin I won at a carnival. Get ready for anything."
Later, at Sunset's apartment, something came from the floor. It looked like a giant flower. Somebody stepped ftom the flower with the penguin on hand. Suddenly, the lights went on, and Sunset and the two Dazzlings popped up to confront the thief. It turned out to be a girl with blue hair and leaves in her eyes.
"Amanita Nightshade!" Sunset said angrily. "You're the one who's been setting me up."
"Hello to you too, Sunset." Amanita replied.
Aria was surprised to see this person. "Hey. Cleo DeNile told about this nasty weed."
"Oh yeah!" Sonata added. "This ghoul likes to borrow stuff and not give it back."
"Why steal from Adagio Dazzle and plant it in my apartment?" Sunset demanded.
Placing down the penguin, Amanita Nightshade gave an explanation. "I figured if people still think that you're still a monster, you'll probably run away and hide forever. And, who better to sucker first than Adagio Dazzle."
A pair of hands took away the penguin. Those hands belonged to Adagio.
"I think you better get lost, Amanita." Adagio warned. "Or, I'll call the cops on you."
Knowing she's outnumbered four to one, Amanita zipped back to her flower. "Oh well, the ghouls of Monster High are easier to poach from anyway. Especially Cleo. Bye, all."
The flower closed and sunk back into the ground. Sunset Shimmer and the Dazzlings are relieved that the girl of the Corpse Flower is gone.
"If that weed comes back," Sonata said, "we'll need a giant can of weed killer."
Tourists see all the wonders of Old Canterlot Town. As a horse drawn buggy pass by, Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash look around.
"I'm glad you decided to join me for a day in Old Canterlot Town." Twilight cheered.
"I got nothing else better to do." Dash remarked. "Besides, this was Applejack's idea. She figured I needed a little look at the past."
The two girls came to a group of tourists at an old general store. Twilight saw an interesting looking girl with what looks like metal skin. This girl also had black hair with blue streaks.
"Robecca!" Twilight called out.
The girl turned around saw who's calling her. "Twilight Sparkle!"
Twilight rushed over, and the two girls hugged each other. Rainbow Dash saw the girl's gear like eyes, and figured out who Twilight called.
"Robecca Steam." Dash said. "We meet at last."
"Hello, Rainbow Dash." Robecca replied. "I was wondering if I was going to meet you."
Twilight was astounded to see this visitor. "What are you doing here, Robecca?"
"Probably the same reason we're here, Twi. " Said Rainbow. "Looking around this old restored town."
"Your rainbow haired friend is right." Robecca added. "I just love the old fashioned way of doing things."
"So I've heard. Do you still bring your old time school supplies to school?"
"Yes I do. I think we can all learn something from the past."
At an old blacksmith shop, tourists watch the blacksmith heat up metal to make horseshoes.
"Imagine the amount of steel needed to make those horseshoes." Twilight said.
"Or the amount of metal needed to put Robecca together." Dash added.
Twilight was shocked to hear that. Robecca calmed down the stunned intellect. "She does have a point, Twilight."
The girls continued their tour as Rainbow Dash licked a strawberry candy stick.
"These old fashioned candy sticks are pretty tasty." Rainbow Dash said happily. "Pinkie Pie would love the taste of these things."
"You starting to open up about the past. Huh, Dashie?" Robecca asked.
"I sure am. Your insights help out well, Robecca."
They soon stopped in from a store selling glass figurines. Everyone saw the glass blowers in action. Blowing up molten glass, and shaping it. Rainbow saw a beautiful glass peacock, and is astounded.
"Wow!" Rainbow Dash gasped. "Rarity would love this."
"Are you thinking of getting it for her, Dashie?" Twilight asked.
"You bet. Good thing I put money aside for occasions like this."
Happy about this, Twilight and Robbeca high five each other. The next day, Twilight and Rainbow Dash rested on a bench near a burger place.
"Rarity loved that peacock I gave her, Twilight." Dash said.
"Aren't you glad we stopped at Old Canterlot Town?" Twilight asked.
"I sure am. The peacock was not too expensive. But, spending time with Robecca Steam, PRICELESS!"
The girls shared a laugh as they think about their trip through the past.
Pinkie went to Rarity's house in tears. Rarity saw her coming and rushed over to the saddened party girl.
"What's wrong, Pinkie?" Rarity asked.
"I was invited to Cheese Sandwich's house for a party." Pinkie sobbed. "But, my best dress is ripped to shreds by an angry neighbor."
"Oh dear. You better come in with me."
Inside, Pinkie sat on the couch very upset. She wondered how to get ready for this party on time.
"Don't worry, darling." Rarity assured. "We'll have a new dress ready for you."
Pinkie Pie got confused. "We? Who's going to help you with my problem?"
A female Spanish voice was soon heard. "Señorita Rarity is talking about me, amigo."
Pinkie saw a tall furry girl with red hair and a vibrant outfit. She then realized who it is.
"Marisol Coxi!" Pinkie squealed. "You're a sight for sore eyes."
Pinkie went over and hugged Marisol. She's pleasantly surprised. "What are you doing here?"
"I was in town visiting your fashionista friend," Marisol explained, "when we both heard you crying outside."
"Oh, right." Pinkie said as she felt sad again. "I guess this is one party I won't be going to."
"Don't give up yet, amigo." Mari confirmed. "Rarity and I will work together to make a new dress for you."
"You will?"
"Si. Leave it to us."
Inside her workshop, Rarity measured Pinkie while Marisol toke notes.
"Now, you wait outside for a while, Pinkie." Rarity advised. "Mari and I will have your dress ready in no time."
"Okay, Rarity." Pinkie Pie said. "There's a movie on TV I want to watch anyway. May I?"
"Be my guest, darling."
Pinkie went to the living room while Marisol and Rarity prepare themselves.
"Are you ready, my amigo?" Rarity asked.
"Ready when you are." Mari answered. "Let's do this!"
The two girls started measured fabric, cut it perfectly, and see it carefully. Later, Pinkie's outfit is ready. It was a light teal long sleeve dress with lime green vertical stripes going down. The dress reached below the knees. Pinkie was happy.
"Wowee!" Pinkie squealed. "This is the wildest looking outfit I ever saw. I love it!"
"We thought you'd like it." Rarity said, pleased with Pinkie's response.
"Looks like Cheese Sandwich will love you in this outfit." Mari added.
Pinkie displayed a big smile. Later that night, Pinkie enjoyed herself at the party. Sunset Shimmer, Bulk Biceps, and Trixie were among the guests. Cheese Sandwich spotted Pinkie and went over to her.
"Your dress looks wild and colorful." Cheese said. "I love it!'
"Thanks, Cheese Sandwich." Pinkie replied. "Rarity and Mari did a good job on this."
"Mari? As in Marisol Coxi? I thought those lime green stripes were a personal touch she added."
The party went on as Pinkie and Cheese enjoyed each other's company.
On a nice nice warm day, Fluttershy and Applejack were walking on the boardwalk.
"That was some storm last night." Applejack said as she looks at the debris on the boardwalk.
"I agree." Fluttershy said. "I'm glad that clean up crews are coming to pick up this mess."
Applejack soon saw some activities on the beach. "Speaking of cleanup duties, LOOK!"
Applejack and Fluttershy watch a bunch of kids pick up trash on the beach and put it in garbage bags.
"Wow!" Fluttershy yelped. "This beach must've been hit hard. These kids are determined to clean it up."
"And, they were all given gloves so their hands won't get cut or poked." Applejack added.
"Fluttershy!" A female voice called out.
The nature girl saw a girl that looks like a white bat. She has white hair with lime green streaks, and wings on her back. Fluttershy knows who it is. "Batsy!"
Fluttershy rushed down, and the two girls hugged at each other. Applejack came to the beach.
"Batsy Claro?" Applejack muttered. "No one expected you to be here."
"I go anywhere to preserve any nature type environment." Batsy informed.
"What are you doing here, Batsy?" Fluttershy wondered.
Batsy told Fluttershy and Applejack her story. "I was told by the lifeguards about that storm from last night. As well as the mess it made. So, I was asked to help these kids clean this place."
"Makes sense. Kids like to play of the beach. Making sandcastles, swimming and surfing in the water, and other fun stuff. As long as the beach and water are clean."
"That's right. Fluttershy. I'm not the only one who's helping these kids out."
Applejack spotted a young man with scales and a water breathing apparatus on his head. She ran over to see him.
"Gil Weber!" Applejack called out.
"Hi there, Applejack." Gil replied.
The farmer girl looked surprised. "This is the first time I see you on your own. Y'all helping out?"
"I sure am." Gil answered. "Lagoona heard about Batsy's clean up project here. So, she asked me to give Batsy some help."
"Being a water being, you feel at home here I suppose."
"I guess that's true."
Later, the beach was cleaned up. Garbage picked up, the water is sparkling, and life guard Timber Spruce addressed the kids.
"I would like to thank you for your help." Timber announced. "This beach was so cluttered with seaweed, trash, and debris, it was declared unsafe. But, you all have worked together, and did something about it. This beach looks amazing!"
Everybody applauded the speech. Then, Timber made another announcement. "I would also like to thank Batsy Claro and Gil Weber for their help. They made sure everybody was safe. Everybody at Monster High would be proud of you two."
The crowd applauded Batsy and Gil. Especially Fluttershy and Applejack.
In her backyard, Rainbow Dash relaxes reading a new Daring Do book. Sunset Shimmer was passing by when she saw the daredevil relaxing.
"Hey, Rainbow." Sunset called out.
"Sunset." Rainbow said. "What's up?"
"Engaging in another adventure of Daring Do?"
"I sure am." Rainbow holds up her book. "This is actually a collection of Daring Do short stories. Each written by different talented writers. I learned that even Clawdia Wolf has a story in this book."
Sunset Shimmer was surprised to here that name. "Clawdia Wolf? Any relation to Monster High student Clawdeen Wolf?"
"Clawdia is Clawdeen's older sister." Rainbow explained. "From what I heard, she a talented writer."
A perky female voice responded to Rainbow's comment. "Thank you."
The girls turned around and saw what looks like a werewolf with blond hair, wearing glasses and a red blazer and yellow and black skirt. Rainbow Dash was shocked. "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Clawdia Wolf!"
Sunset Shimmer stood aside as Rainbow exits the backyard to meet Clawdia.
"Hello, Rainbow Dash." Clawdia greeted. "It's nice to meet you."
"You know about me?" Rainbow said shockingly.
"From A. K. Yearling. She told me that you're one of her biggest fans."
Rainbow blushed slightly. The three girls got together in Rainbow's house.
"So, you traveled all the way from Londoom to contribute to this short story collection?" Sunset wondered.
"That's right, Sunset." Clawdia answered. "I was called by A. K. Yearling herself to write a story."
"Your stories usually feature yourself in crazy adventures. Right?" Rainbow Dash said.
"Yep. So, I figured to write a story about me and Daring Do teaming up. That story got a lot of positive feedback."
Rainbow Dash quickly read Clawdia's story. She was amazed. "I can see why. This story is awesome!"
"I can picture you and Daring Do together." Sunset praised. "Two adventurous ladies on epic quests, fighting villains, and finding treasure."
Everyone had a good laugh. Pinkie Pie wondered something. "Are you still doing that circus show?"
"You're talking about Freak Du Chic." Gooliope answered. "Yes, I am. In fact, I'm talking to Principal Celestia at your school about bringing our show there."
"A circus at our school?" Fluttershy said. "That'll be interesting."
Gooliope had a thought. "Another reason I came here. I heard all about this group you're part of called the Rainbooms. If the circus comes to Monster High again, I wonder if you girls can perform."
The three girls were surprised to hear the offer. Applejack spoke up. "That's not a bad idea. In fact, our friends are coming over for a barbecue. They would like to hear this offer."
Pinkie and Fluttershy nodded in agreement.
"That's great!" Gooliope cheered. "I'll bet they'll be happy to hear this."
"Then let's go back to the house." Pinkie said. "They'll be coming in twenty minutes."
Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie, and Gooliope went back to Applejack's house, ready to tell the good news.
Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, and Sunset Shimmer were invited to a hidden area of the beach for a picnic.
"Are you sure about this, Twi?" Sunset wondered.
"Of course I'm sure." Twilight said. "The invitation told us to come to this part of the beach."
"I'm very surprised we are not bringing any food." Rarity figured.
"Me too, Rarity. But, the invitation said not to worry about food."
A sudden aroma of cooked fish got everybody's attention. Twilight saw an old fort overlooking the ocean. "That pleasant smell is coming from over there. Follow me!"
The three girls went into the fort, and saw some fish grilling over an open fire, and a table with plates, cups, some fresh fruit, and a big bowl of tropical punch.
"My goodness." Rarity exclaimed. "This is an impressive spread."
Suddenly, they we greeted by what sounds like a female pirate. "Ahoy, mateys! Glad you can come."
The girls saw a golden maiden with blond hair wearing a black top and a long skirt that is designed like a treasure map. Sunset quickly recognized the host.
"Dayna!" Sunset shouted.
"Sunset Shimmer!" The girl replied.
As the two girls hugged each other, Twilight soon recognized the girl. "I don't believe it! It's Dayna Treasura Jones!"
Rarity was shocked. "A real life buccaneer. Wow."
Dayna approached the two girls. "Hello, Twilight Sparkle and Rarity. So nice of you girls to come."
"It's nice of you to invite us, Dayna." Twilight replied. "But, why this location?"
"I thought you and your friends would experience something facinating. So, why not a good old fish fry here at the beach."
Sunset looked at the ocean. "You can't go wrong with a view like this."
"That's the spirit." Dayna cheered. "One more thing. I have some pirate clothes for ye to try."
"Somehow, that makes sense." Rarity figured. "Since we're with a pirate, we might as well dress for this occasion."
Later, Twilight had on a magenta long sleeve shirt, black vest, and deep blue Capri style pants. Sunset wore a red and white striped t shirt and blue pants. Sunset's clothes are also ripped. Rarity came out wearing a red ruffled shirt and a long yellow skirt.
"Man, this is awesome." Sunset praised. "We all look like sea worthy pirates."
"Aye, me hartys." Twilight said. "Tis a grand experience ta be sure."
"My goodness, Twilight." Rarity noticed. "You really sound like a pirate."
"Thanks, Rarity. I'm surprised that your not complaining about not wearing shoes."
Rarity chuckled. Then, gave an explanation. "I've seen pictures of barefoot pirates before. So, this does not bother me. However, Sunset's look needs something."
Sunset was a little confused about what Rarity said. She then grabbed a black bandana and wrapped it around Sunset's head.
"I get it." Sunset realized. "Some pirates wear bandanas."
"Right you are, matey." Rarity said.
Dayna came out, and saw the girls dressed up. "Wow! You blokes look so amazing. You landlubbers make great pirates. Arrrr!"
"Thanks, Dayna." Sunset replied happily.
"Well, the fish are cooked, the plates are set, and the tropical punch is poured in the mugs. Time fer lunch!"
Soon, Twilght and her friends and Dayna sat the table. Enjoying the fish, the fruit, and the punch.
"This fish is good." Twilight said happily.
"Indeed." Rarity added. "You are an impressive cook, Dayna."
"Thanks, Mateys." Dayna responded. "You must be glad that I included this fresh fruit and homemade tropical punch."
"The punch is homemade?!" Sunset blurted. "This is non-alcoholic. Right?"
"Of course. You girls have to head home safely. Don't you?"
"Good point."
Twilight raised her mug. "Here's to a great day with this pirate theme."
Everyone raised their mugs, and brought them together. This is indeed a fascinating day.
After a successful concert, the Rainbooms went to their camper to get some rest.
"We were awesome out there!" Rainbow Dash cheered.
"That was quite a crowd." Sunset said happily. "I'm relieved that the crowds have gone home."
"I agree." Twilight added. "Now, all we need is a little rest."
"Mind if I join you?" A female voice asked.
The girls soon saw a green skinned girl with flowing black hair. She was wearing an orange and purple outfit.
"No way." Sunset gasped. "Casta Firece!"
Everybody was surprised. Especially Twilight. "What brings you to our camper?"
"I saw your concert earlier." Casta explained. "And, when I saw you girls head for this camper, I figured to hang out with you guys."
"Hang out with us?" Applejack wondered.
"That's right, Applejack. After all, we're musicians."
The girls relaxed at their camper. Inside, Fluttershy and Rarity discuss their meeting with the musical ghoul.
"It's very rare for Casta Fierce to be without her group, the Spells." Fluttershy realized.
"Even someone like Casta can use a little alone time." Rarity figured.
Fluttershy never thought about that. "I guess you're right."
Outside, Casta joins the other girls for some pizza.
"So, you like being with us, Casta?" Twilight wondered.
"I sure do." Casta answered. "You girls are very gracious to guests."
"I still can't believe that we're hanging out with a popular music star." Pinkie Pie added.
"Please, Pinkie Pie. You're making me blush."
Pretty soon, another girl addressed the group. "Any pizza left for me?"
They saw a cat like person wearing a silver outfit.
"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "Catty Noir!"
Rarity stepped outside the camper and saw the visitor. "Catty Noir?! Oh my."
Minutes later, the girls enjoy the company of this latest visitor.
"I still can't believe it." Sunset said. "First, Casta Fierce. Now, Catty Noir."
"Believe it, Sunset Shimmer." Catty replied. "This night is full of surprises."
Casta noticed Rarity looking at the black werecat. "Checking her wardrobe, Rarity?"
"I sure am." Rarity replied. "I love her silver dress. It resembles a broken mirror nicely. And, that number 13 label is a nice touch."
"Thanks, Rarity." Catty said. "Most people believe that a broken mirror, the number 13, and a black cat are all unlucky. Those are the superstitious type."
"That's right!" Rarity realized. "You're a black cat. A charming black cat as well."
Catty blushed. "Aw, thank you."
"This is so cool!" Rainbow Dash cheered.
"You said it." Applejack agreed as she throws out pizza crusts. "It's not every day we hang out with two top musicians."
Suddenly, a ghostly girl with purple hair and a purple outfit peeked through the camper. "Better make that three."
Pinkie Pie was surprisingly happy. " Wowie! Ari Hauntington!"
"In person."
The girls are all surprised to see her.
"Oh my." Fluttershy said. "I've seen your concerts. You're amazing."
"Ari is amazing." Casta said. "Even Catty and I appreciate her hard work."
Ari felt proud. "Thanks, Casta. That's so nice of you to say that."
Just then, Rarity's friend, Photo Finish, came to the campsite.
"This is a rare sight!" Photo shouted. "Casta Fierce, Ari Hauntington, and Catty Noir together."
Everyone was surprised. Catty spoke up. "I guess it is very rare, now that we think of it."
Photo got her camera out. "Would you like me to take your picture for my personal scrapbook?"
"Sure." Casta answered. "Only if the Rainbooms join us."
"Works for me."
Twilight and her friends posed with the three ghoulish pop stars. Photo readied her camera. "That's a wonderful pose. Hold it!"
The picture is taken. This will be one experience the Rainbooms will never forget.
After dishes were done and the kitchen table was wiped clean, Celestia and Luna look over piles of paper.
"What a Saturday we had, Luna." Celestia said. "Forty three stories, each having different students of Monster High. We and Bloodgood did a great job."
"I'm with you, sis." Luna replied. "Too bad we couldn't think of a story involving that living voodoo doll, Hoodude Voodoo."
"He's a strange one. Even Bloodgood is stumped."
"Where is she anyway?" Luna wondered, taking a sip of coffee.
Celestia sat down with her own cup. "Heading back to Monster High. She got a call from Mr. Rotter that something's going on over there."
The phone rang. Luna picked it up and started talking. After only one minute, she hung up and rejoined her sister.
"You said that something's going on at that school. Right?" Luna said.
"That's what I heard." Celestia replied. "Why?"
Luna gave her sister a scary answer. "That was Bloodgood on the phone. Toralei Stripe and her werecat sisters were interfering with the Fear Squad's practice again."
