'We all know Twilight Sparkle: a lavender unicorn who is a student of Celestia. But Twilight was never a pony. In fact, she kept her true identity hidden until her 'brother's wedding day.
When her 'brother's wedding day comes, she thinks of nothing but that it will be a drag. But when Twilight discovers that her mother is undercover, Twilight is happy, knowing that maybe the wedding won't be as bad as she expected.
Applejack couldn't help but notice that Twilight has been acting weird all the time. Will Twilight be able to keep up her cover or will everypony discover the truth before she and her mother can begin their plan to attack Canterlot?
It was a beautiful day in Ponyville, and Twilight, and her ‘friends’ were having a picnic. Spike was running to the picnic spot. Rainbow Dash was eating a sandwich, Applejack drinking water with a straw, and Twilight grabbed an apple from the basket, but seeing Spike running over her made her worried. Spike got to Twilight, “hey! I have a message for you, Twilight. Just leave me… ”
Spike felt like he was going to puke, “oh wait… here it comes…” Spike belched and a rolled parchment appeared.
Twilight Sparkle took the scroll with a scroll, “thank you, Spike”, Twilight opened the scroll and saw that it was from Celestia.
“Ah. It’s from Princess Celestia”, said Twilight Sparkle, a little upset inside. She thought it was from her mother.
“Dear Twilight, I’m sure you’re as excited as I am about the wedding in Canterlot,” read Twilight before being surprised, “wedding?”
“I’ll be arranging the ceremony, but I wish you and your friends would help with this wonderful occasion”, read Twilight Sparkle.
“You’re in charge of checking out the wedding preparations, Pinkie will be in charge of preparing the games, Applejack Cake and Food, Rainbow will do Sonic-Rainboom after the wedding, Rarity will do the bride and husband dress and Fluttershy of the song”, read Twilight Sparkle.
“Wow, what an honor”, said Fluttershy with a smile.
“But I don’t understand. Who’s getting married?” asked Twilight Sparkle, now confused. She needed to know.
Spike remembered something. He took out another scroll, “wait! I should have delivered this letter first. Here”, said Spike.
Twilight took the letter and opened it to read, “Princess Celestia invites you to wedding of Princess Mi Amore Cadenza’s and…” Twilight Sparkle was surprised. “My brother Shining Armor?!”
“Is your brother getting married?” asked Applejack before smiling. “I would like to congratulate you”
“I didn’t know you had a brother, Twilight”, said Rarity.
“Are you happy for your brother?” asked Fluttershy.
Was Twilight Sparkle surprised her foster brother getting married without him telling her? How could she demonstrate this without revealing her identity?
“Do you know what I think? Why would he marry without telling me?” asked Twilight Sparkle, with a possible tone of anger.
Twilight Sparkle grabbed a sandwich and started stirring the bread like a mouth, “I, Shining Armor, will marry Princess Mi Amore Candeza without telling my sister”
Twilight threw the sandwich away, “Do you have any idea how angry I am?!” Smokes started to come out of her nose. Twilight glanced at her “friends”. Her friends found that strange.
“I’m sorry. He was my brother a long time ago. And seeing that he’s marrying someone I don’t know that my anger would take the best of me”, said Twilight Sparkle, now sorry on the outside, but inside she was amazed to say that.
Twilight wondered if she should tell her 'friends' and her to go to Canterlot or if she should do drama and even sing a song about her foster brother about how she “loves” him and she considered him his “B.B.B.F.F”. And she chose the second option. She even had how she was going to sing, only she had to wait for the right moment.
“Twilight, I don’t understand something. Why do you feel so connected to your brother?” asked Applejack confused.
Twilight intended to scream and say ‘because I was born in his family!’ But she had a better idea, “because he’s my B.B.B.F.F”, replied Twilight Sparkle, now pretending to be sad.
The Twilight friends were confused, “B.B what?” asked Applejack, now confused.
Twilight glanced at Applejack, “B.B.B.F.F. Big Brother Best Friend Forever. Before coming here and learning the importance of friendship, Shining Armor was the only pony I accepted as a friend”
Twilight realized that now was a good time to sing. That was what she was going to do. A pink bird landed on the hull. Twilight petted the bird before letting it fly. That done she began to sing.
“When i was just a filly, i found it rather silly to see how many other ponies i could meet”, started singing Twilight Sparkle.
“I had my books to read, didn’t know that I would ever need other ponies to make my life complete”
“But there was one colt that i cared for. I knew he would be there for me”
“MY BIG BROTHER BEST FRIEND FOREVER. Like two pieces in a pod, we did everything together”
“He taught me How to fly a kite. Best friend forever”
“We did everything together. We never had a single fight ”
“We did everything together. We shared our hopes, we shared our dreams ”
“I miss him more than i realized. It seems… ”
Now the one who sang was her 'friends', “YOUR BIG BROTHER. BEST FRIEND FOREVER”
“Like two pieces in a pod, you did everything together”
Now who sang was Twilight, “and though he’s, oh, so far away i hoped he would stay”
Twilight “friends” and Spike were sad, “my big brother best friend forever… Forever…”
Now that Twilight has finished singing, tears have started to come out of her eyes. She was a good actress. Applejack went to Twilight, “Twilight, I’m so sorry you’re like this”
Twilight looked at Applejack, “You’re not to blame, Applejack. But I think we’d better go to Canterlot. We need to help with wedding preparations”
On the train, Twilight 'friends' were arguing about the wedding, Twilight was staring at the landscape. She wondered if her mother would appear in disguise. Yes. Her mother had to disguise herself so that they could take the form of a pony stealing another pony’s love. The train approached a pink shield around Canterlot. Having royal guards, they let the train pass. When the train stopped, Applejack, Rarity and Rainbow Dash were surprised to see so many royal guards, “I wonder why there are so many guards”, said Rainbow Dash.
Twilight rushed off the train. Applejack was confused, “sugarcube, where are you going?”
Twilight stopped running and looked at Applejack, “I’m going to talk to my brother. He needs to hear a conversation from sister to brother”, said Twilight Sparkle, before running again.
Shining Armor was recruiting royal guards until he saw his sister coming to her, “hey! I have a message for you!”
The guards pointed the spears, Shining Armor saw that it was his sister, “Twili!” The guards stopped pointing the spears.
Shining Armor came down to see his sister, “Twili. I’m so happy to see you.”
“How could you?!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle, not pleased.
“What?” asked Shining Armor, now confused.
“How can you marry somepony I don’t even know?” asked Twilight Sparkle, still annoyed.
“It’s not my fault. Princess Celestia asked this to increase security”, replied Shining Armor.
Twilight Sparkle stopped being annoyed, now got a look of understanding, “she told me that now Canterlot is more likely to be attacked”
“Why did you never warn me?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“I was very busy with the Royal Guard business”, answered Shining Armor.
As much as Twilight wanted to roll her eyes, she knew her ‘brother’ would find it odd, so she didn’t even did this.
“With the wedding coming there are many royal guards in Canterlot so that no threat comes. I’ll show you”, said Shining Armor, before starting to walk. Twilight followed her ‘brother’.
Shining Armor and Twilight were in what looked like a balcony. Below were several guards marching, “Wow. How many royal guards”
Twilight looked at her ‘brother’, “So, are you really getting married?”
Shining Armor looked at his sister, “yes, Twili. But despite that, I wish you were my Best Mare”
Twilight smiled even though she was annoyed inside, “Do you want me to be your Best Mare? I would be honored!”
Only not.
Shining Armor and Twilight shared a hug. Twilight came out of the hug, “but at the same time, you’ll marry somepony that I don’t even know”
Shining Armor smiled, “Twili, Princess Mi Amore Cadenza is Princess Cadence your foalsitter when you were a foal”
Twilight Sparkle pretended to be happy, “Candece? That Candece? The best foalsitter in foalsitting history?”
Shining Armor, still smiling, replied, “That’s right”
“Candece is the best foalsitter ever: She’s beautiful, caring and kind”, lied Twilight Sparkle through a smile. Twilight Sparkle was grateful she was a good actress.
“I’m so lucky to have you foalsitting”, lied Twilight Sparkle through a smile as she was pushed on a swing.
Candece, smiling, rolled her eyes, “but I guess I’m nothing but a common unicorn”
Candece stopped pushing the swing, “you have nothing of common unicorn”
For a moment, Twilight thought her true identity was discovered, but Candece picked her up and put her in a towel. They looked at each other before doing what they always did.
“Sunshine, sunshine. Ladybugs awake. Clap your hooves and do a little shake”, said both in unison. They lay down while laughing happily.
After that, they went for a walk around Canterlot until they saw a couple fighting, Twilight and Candece looked at each other before Candece used her magic and made a heart appear. When the heart arrived between the couple the heart exploded. The couple blinked before smiling and talking normally. Candece was proud of it and walked away. Twilight was interested in that. Candece was the princess of love. She needed to warn her mother about this.
Twilight looked at her ‘brother’, “You know, I’m happy with you”, lied Twilight through a smile.
She started jumping around in false joy, “Go marry Candece! You’re marrying Candece!” She stopped when she saw Candece.
“I hope I’m not interrupting anything important”, said Candece.
Twilight hated having to do it, but if she didn’t do it, Candace would find it odd, “Candece! Sunshine, sunshine. Ladybugs awake. Clap your hooves and do a little shake”
Candece found it’s strange, “what are you doing?”
Twilight found it strange, but still smiling said, “Candece, it’s me. Twilight”
Candece smiled, “Twilight. Is that you! I barely recognized you”
Twilight wondered if this was the real Candece or if it was her mother in disguise. But whether or not she needed to smile to nopony to suspect her. Candece hugged her. Shining Armor smiled at that. That done, Candece went to Shining Armor.
“I still have to do my other duties as a royal guard, but you’ll see how things are for the wedding. Isn’t it, honey?” asked Shining Armor.
“Absolutely”, replied Candece with an evil smile. Twilight was surprised by this. But not surprised at being confused or scared, but surprised at happy. Was this Candece really her mother?
“Well, we better get going, Candece”, said Shining Armor. Candece looked a little nervous.
“Wait, honey!” exclaimed Candece with a possible panic.
Shining Armor and Twilight Sparkle were confused and raised an eyebrow, “Is everything okay, honey?”
“I’d like to talk to Twilight before we go”, said Candece.
Shining Armor smiled at that, “ok, honey. I’m going ahead”
As Shining Armor walked, Candece signaled for Twilight to follow her. Twilight followed her. They entered a room. Candece closed the door. Twilight watched Candece close the door. Twilight realized that Candece’s aura color was green. She was surprised. Candece’s aura color was usually light blue and her mother’s color was green. Did that mean what she thought it meant?
“You see, right?” asked Candece almost desperately.
Twilight didn’t know if Candece was her mother or not, so she decided to still pretend, “i see what?”
“The color of my aura. It’s green not light blue”, replied Candece.
Twilight was smiling inside, “So, you’re not really Candece?” asked Twilight Sparkle just to be sure.
“That’s right, daughter”, said 'Candece' with a smile. Her eyes flashed green for a moment.
Twilight Sparkle smiled at the sight of her eyes. It wasn’t her boring foalsitter, but her mother: Queen Chrysalis.
“Mom!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle with a smile before hugging her. ‘Candace’ smiled at that.
“So when will the other changelings attack Canterlot?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“When I reveal my true identity”, answered ‘Candece’.
“And when will you reveal your true identity?” asked Twilight Sparkle.
“I will reveal when after I accept Shining Armor as my husband”, replied Cadence.
“Don’t you think my ‘friends’ won’t find it you’re acting weird?” asked Twilight Sparkle a little worried.
“I’ll say it’s because of stress”, answered ‘Candece’.
Twilight Sparkle thought for a moment before answering, “until it’s a good reason”
‘Candece’ smiled at that, “one of the things I’m good at is lying and pretending to be a pony”
Twilight Sparkle smiled, “Well, I think you better get going”, said ‘Candece’.
Twilight Sparkle was confused, “what do you mean, mom?”
‘Candece’ smiled,” Daughter, you have to check the wedding arrangements, remember?”
Twilight smiled, “oh, yeah. Thanks for reminding me. I think I better get going”
“Yes. I think you better get going. When night comes, you’ll find me at Shining Armor’s house”, said Candece.
“Ok, Mom”, said Twilight Sparkle, before hugging her mother and running to where Applejack was.
Twilight Sparkle was already where Applejack, she had a notebook, and Applejack kept running around, “cake, check”, said Applejack on a ladder. Twilight checked the list.
Applejack ran again, “ice sculpture, check”, Twilight checked the list. She couldn’t deny that she was having fun pretending. She couldn’t wait for the wedding time to arrive.
Applejack pulled some muffins out of the oven and put it on the table, “the best apple muffins ever made!” exclaimed Applejack, all excited. Applejack popped a cupcake in Twilight’s mouth.
Twilight spat. No. She didn’t mean she didn’t like it. Only because she was a Changeling, and Changelings don’t eat normal food like the ponies, just love the changelings fed, “Bllaaaggh!” Twilight scowled as she spat. Applejack glanced back and realized that Twilight was spitting out the muffin. She found it strange.
“I accept. Will you accept it?” asked Spike in a similar voice from the Shining Armor.
“I do”, answered Spike in a Candace voice. That done, Spike moved the dolls as if they were kissing. Twilight can think of nothing but that her friends were idiots for thinking that everything will go well.
“Hi, Princess Cadence”, greeted Applejack. Twilight and Spike watched ‘Cadence’ enter with a possible look of boredom.
“Please call me Princess Mi Amore Cadenza”, said ‘Cadence’. Twilight fought to not laugh. She found that full name of Cadence very funny of Candace.
“Ok, Princess Mi amore Cadenza,” said Applejack. “Did you come here to check out preparations for your big day?”
Cadence perked up, “yes”, they started walking. The cheekbone was bored again. Twilight can’t help but notice that her mother was a good actress.
Applejack handed out a tray of muffins, Candace grabbed a muffin with her magic and ate, “Oh, how delicious. I loved. I loved it”, Twilight Sparkle didn’t understand how her mother couldn’t spit the food. But she decided not to even ask her mother about it.
“If you liked it so much, why don’t you carry this bag of muffins inside?” asked Applejack with a bag. ‘Cadence’ and Twilight got nervous. Cadence took the bag and left. Twilight watched her mother.
Suddenly her mother stopped and threw the bag in the trash. Twilight was relieved and happy. Then, Twilight watched Applejack before leaving. Applejack watched Twilight leave. Weird. Twilight didn’t even talk to her.
Meanwhile, Twilight watched Rarity make Candece’s wedding dress. Twilight couldn’t help but notice that everypony seemed busy about marriage. And she couldn’t stop thinking and couldn’t wait to see the faces of her ‘friends’ and her ‘mentor’ when they realized that ‘Candace’ wasn’t Cadence.
Candace entered the room behind her, had the bridesmares, Rarity went to ‘Cadence’, “your majesty. I just wanted to say that I’m honored to do something for this special occasion”,Rarity laughed nervously.
Cadence started walking, “is my dress ready?” In the background, Twilight watched her mother walk over to the dress.
Rarity accompanied ‘Cadence’, ‘oh. Yes of course”
Cadence watched the new dress as Rarity said, “I was working hard on it and I’m sure you loved the result”
“I was hoping for something bittering and long trailing”, said ‘Candence’
Rarity took out a notebook and wrote what ‘Cadence’ wanted, “yes. Of course”
‘Candence’ approached about three dresses, “and those should be of another color”, Rarity noted.
“I think they’re lovely”, said a unicorn mare of white and pink mane.
“Me too”, agreed a light blue unicorn mare.
“I loved them”, said a green unicorn mare. Candace looked back annoyed. The three mares were sorry.
“Make them a different color”, said Candace before leaving. Twilight watched her mother leave.
“OK. Let me see. Here’s the games”, said Pinkie Pie, before rolling a dice on the board. Beside it was a pinecone, a paper with a drawing of a stallion without a tail. Pinkie Pie smiled at ‘Cadence’.
“The dances”, said Pinkie Pie before playing a song and starting to dance.
Pinkie Pie went over to Cadence, “I’m sure it’s going to be perfect, aren’t you?”
“Perfect…” smiled ‘Candace before leaving grumpy. “... if it were to celebrate a six year old party”
Pinkie Pie let out a sigh of joy, “thank you”, but what they didn’t know was that Twilight was hiding and was smirking evily.
Luna went to the balcony where her sister was. Celestia was tired, “rest, sister. As always, I will watch the night”
Meanwhile, Twilight’s friends were in the cafeteria. Less Twilight.
“It’s my impression or Twilight has been acting weird since we arrived in Canterlot?”asked Applejack, along with her friends and Spike at the table.
Rarity looked at Applejack, “What are you talking about, dear?”
“When I gave her a cupcake, she spat. Like she didn’t like it”, said Applejack.
“See, she haven’t like it, dear”, said Rarity.
“That may be true. But I’ve never seen Twilight complain about eating food. Something is strange. And I feel like Twilight is hiding something from us”, said Applejack.
The friends and Spike looked at each other before looking at Applejack, “But why do you think Twilight is hiding something from us, dear?”
“She kept on standing next to Candence. It was as if Cadence and Twilight were planning something”
“Don’t you think you’re paranoid with Twilight?” asked Rainbow Dash. Spike and the others agreed.
“I’m not paranoid, Rainbow. I’m just worried about her. Twilight didn’t act like herself”, said Applejack.
“She’s not even with us here. Don’t you think it’s weird?” asked Applejack.
“You’re accusing without evidence, darling”, said Rarity.
“I’m accusing with evidence. Why don’t you believe me? I am the element of honesty”, said Applejack.
Everypony was speechless. Applejack sighed, “ok. I’ll prove to you that Twilight isn’t herself”, Applejack left the snack bar. Spike and Applejack’s friends looked at each other.
A Changeling egg was hatching, and out of it came a purple-colored female Changeling with dark blue mane with bright pink and lilac stripes, had holes in the mane. The purple female changeling squeaked. Suddenly, the female Changeling felt being held by a green magic. The Changeling realized that the one holding her was a tall Changeling with a crown. The female Changeling pupp smiled.
Mother!
“You’re different from my other subjects, little one. My other Changelings aren’t purple in color and have no mane like me”,said the Changeling Queen curiously.
The female changeling looked insecure. Did your mother not like her?
“You have my interest, daughter,” said Queen Changeling with a smile. “But what will be your name?”
Queen Changeling noted that the color of the female Changeling reminded her of the color of the sky when it was night, the same was true of the color of the mane, “I name you Twilight Sparkle. Because of reminding me of dusk and because shine because you’re special”
Queen Changeling had the idea to show Twilight the hive and that’s what she was going to do. She left the place where the Changelings were being born. Meanwhile, more Changelings pups were born in the background. There was a Changeling who was born smiling, but seeing other Changelings squeak, the pup Changeling was startled and looked like he wanted to hide back inside the egg.
It’s been a few years, and Twilight Sparkle has become Chrysalis’s favorite daughter. Because Twilight is the closest Changeling to Chrysalis. The other Changelings, luckily, weren’t bothered by it and accepted it. Because they knew Chrysalis took care of them all.
Chrysalis looked out a window and saw that there was no pony nearby. Great. Because it was Changeling territory. But she would like to know what’s going on in Canterlot, “guards!”
Two Changelings guards went to Chrysalis and bowed, “Yes, my queen?” asked the two Changelings guards in unison.
“Ask Twilight to come to the throne room”, replied Chrysalis.
“Yes, my queen”, said the two Changelings guards in unison. They left the throne room and went to where all the Changelings were.
Meanwhile, Twilight was talking to a Changelings until two guards came to her, “Twilight”
Twilight was confused, “what’s going on?”
“Queen Chrysalis wishes to speak with you”, said the first Changeling royal guard.
Twilight said “oh” before going to where her mother would be.
Chrysalis waited for Twilight until she heard footsteps. She looked into a hole and saw Twilight running, “I came here as soon as I heard you wanted to talk to me, Mom”
Chrysalis smiled, “Twilight, good of you to come. We need to talk”, said Chrysalis.
Twilight Sparkle tensed, “Are you banishing me from the hive?”
Chrysalis was surprised, “what? No, daughter. That’s not it”
Twilight was more relieved to hear this, “so what is it, mom?”
“Are you good at lying?” asked Chrysalis.
“Just for ponies”, answered Twilight Sparkle.
“Are you good at acting? Pretending to be somepony else?” asked Chrysalis.
Twilight Sparkle smiled at this, “I’m good at this”
Chrysalis smiled with relief, “great”
Twilight looked a little unsure, “not wanting to hurry you or anything, but why did you call me to come here?”
“It’s just that I’d like you to do me a favor”, replied Chrysalis.
Twilight was a little relieved to know, “and what’s this favor?”
“I wish you could go to Canterlot, pretend to be a unicorn and spy on Celestia”, replied Chrysalis.
Twilight smiled at that “just like a spy? I will love to do that. But when will I return to the hive?”
“When you find out something about Celestia and an event that will take place in Canterlot. Then me and the other Changelings will be able to invade Canterlot, and with you by my side, of course”, replied Chrysalis with a smile. Twilight smiled back.
“Come on, I’ll show you the hive exit”, said Chrysalis, before starting to walk. Twilight followed her
Twilight watched her ‘brother’ finish packing. Suddenly, they heard a knocking sound. Shining Armor opened the door and was surprised to see Applejack, “Applejack?” asked Shining Armor confused. Twilight Sparkle got scared.
Damn it. What is she doing here?
“Is Twilight here?” asked Applejack.
“Oh yeah. She’s…” but Shining Armor can’t finish his sentence because of the sound of a door closing. He looked back and saw ‘Cadence’ coming down the stairs. Applejack and Twilight also looked at Candace. While Twilight smiled, Applejack had a neutral expression.
“Oh. Hi, honey”, greeted Shining Armor.
“Can we talk privately?” asked Cadence, before starting to walk into a room.
“Oh sure”, said Shining Armor, before entering the room. Applejack looked at Twilight before they spied on what they were talking about.
“What are you going to wear to our wedding?” asked ‘Cadence’.
“This outfit”, answered Shining Armor.
‘Cadence’ was grumpy, ‘Really? This outfit?”
“What’s up? It’s from my dad”, replied Shining Armor with a smile.
“And?” asked Candace, still grumpy.
“I thought you might like it”, said Shining Armor, before feeling a headache.
“Oh, Dear. One more of those unbearable headaches”, said Cadence, before using her magic and casting on Shining Armor. Their eyes turned green as they turned.
Applejack was scared. She couldn’t believe her eyes. She looked at Twilight and saw that her friend was smiling wildly. Applejack couldn’t believe what she was seeing. Twilight was smiling at the sight of this scene, but she was more surprised to see Cadence do this to her own husband.
I can not believe what I am seeing. Twilight is doing nothing to stop it. She is letting it happen. Twilight isn’t just a liar, she’s very evil!
Applejack ran off. Twilight watched Applejack run away. She was confused. When Shining Armor and Cadence left, they saw Applejack run away, “Applejack?” asked Shining Armor confused. Shining Armor looked at ‘Cadence’ with a look of “should I go after her?”
“Let her go”, said Cadence, before patting her future husband.
“Weird. I could have sworn she wanted to talk to Twilight”, said Shining Armor confused.
Luna watched the city with a telescope until she heard hooves, “who’s coming?” Luna was soon relieved to see that it was just Applejack.
“Stay indoors, Applejack”, said Luna.
Applejack entered the house and saw her friends, “girls. I found proof that Twilight… ”
But Applejack’s friends didn’t even seem to hear. They were busy praising the dresses they wore. Applejack couldn’t believe her friends weren’t listening to her. Fluttershy went to Applejack, “Do you know the news? We’ll be Princess Cadence’s bridesmares!” exclaimed Fluttershy all excitedly.
“Here’s the Twilight dress and yours”, said Rarity, showing two mannequins with dresses.
“Can you even hear me?” asked Applejack. But it was no use, her friends were very busy talking about the wedding. What was she going to do?
Applejack and Twilight’s friends Celestia, Shining Armor and Spike were in the rehearsal room, Twilight was with her. She was smiling. One day to the wedding, so she and her mother will dominate all Equestria. The door opened, revealing ‘Cadence’. Shining Armor smiled. ‘Cadance’ approached.
“Has anypony seen Applejack?” asked Shining Armor, noting that Applejack wasn’t there.
The doors opened and there was Applejack, “I’m here. And I need to say something important”
Shining Armor looked uncomfortable with one of Twilight’s friends acting like this. Shining Armor looked at Cadance, who seemed unhappy, “I’m so sorry. I don’t know why she’s acting this way”
“You have to listen to me!” exclaimed Applejack.
Fluttershy went to Applejack, “oh, my Celestia. Are you alright?”
“I’m fine”, answered Applejack.
“Are you sure?” asked Rainbow Dash.
Applejack put a hoof on Rainbow Dash before walking back, “I have something to declare”, Applejack’s friends were worried.
“She’s evil!” exclaimed Applejack while pointing to Twilight Sparkle. Shining Armor stepped in front of Twilight.
The friends of Twilight and Applejack were confused, so were the guards.
“She was lying and being fake”, said Applejack, before rushing over to Twilight. Twilight was unsure. Applejack discovered it.
“She wasn’t with me and my friends at the snack bar”, Applejack approached Twilight as Twilight walked backwards.
Twilight was now leaning against a wall, “she smiled wickedly as she watched Cadence cast a Shining Armor spell to make his eyes spin”, Applejack rolled her eyes to demonstrate. Everypony was watching, even Celestia.
Twilight was smiling nervously. She intended to go back to where she was, but Applejack stopped her. Shining Armor looked sad.
Twilight started crying, “Why are you doing this to me?” Twilight ran off while crying.
“Because you’re fake and evil!” exclaimed Applejack.
Twilight opened the door with her magic as she cried and ran. Applejack rushed to the door, “fake and evil! And you shouldn’t have hidden the truth from me!”
Rarity and Rainbow Dash looked at each other before looking back at Applejack. Applejack walked back, but suddenly she hit Shining Armor. Applejack looked at Shining Armor and saw that he wasn’t happy. Applejack smiled nervously.
“Do you know why they even do that?” asked Shining Armor, before moving his eyes and getting a headache.
“Since I had to protect Canterlot for the wedding, I’ve been using almost all of my magic”, explained Shining Armor as he walked. Applejack looked sorry.
“And Twilight wasn’t smiling wickedly, she was smiling happily knowing Cadence was helping me!” exclaimed Shining Armor. Applejack was surprised. Shining Armor felt a headache.
“Well, I don’t care about you anymore. And now if you’ll excuse me, I have a sister to comfort”, said Shining Armor before leaving.
Applejack sat down sadly before looking at her friends, “Come on, guys. Let’s comfort Twilight”, say Rainbow Dash.
Applejack and Spike’s friends left. Applejack couldn’t believe it. No one believed her. Applejack saw Celestia coming out unhappy, “I hope you’re happy”
Applejack felt she was going to cry. She disappointed her princess. The guards came out and closed the door. Applejack let out a breath, walked up the stairs, sat down, and began to cry. While doing this, ‘Cadence’ approached Applejack and stroked Applejack’s mane. Applejack looked up and saw Cadence smiling.
“I’m so sorry”, Applejack apologized through tears.
‘Cadence’ eyes flashed green for a second before returning to normal color and glowering at Applejack, “you will soon feel!”
‘Cadence’ horn flashed green before forming a green fire around Applejack. Applejack watched the fire swirl around her before looking at ‘Cadence’ and she smirked evily before leaving.
Applejack was inside a crystal mine, and it was very dark. It was a shame that Applejack wasn’t a unicorn, otherwise she could light up a little, “hello? Is anypony here?” Applejack looked down at the floor and saw that there were stones on the floor.
Suddenly she heard a laugh. Applejack was startled by this. On a crystal wall ‘Cadence’ appeared.
“You shouldn’t have made my daughter cry. Now, you’ll be stuck there forever” said ‘Cadence’.
Applejack was confused, “What? What do you mean? What are you talking about?”
“I’m saying Twilight is my daughter”, replied ‘Cadence’.
Applejack was angry, “It’s a lie! You’re not the mother of Twilight!”
“It seems that the element of Honesty doesn’t believe the truth”, said ‘Cadence’.
Applejack was surprised, “wait a second there, how do you know I’m the element of Honesty?”
“My daughter, Twilight, told me all about you and your elements of harmony. She told me she is a student of Celestia just to spy on her”, replied ‘Cadence’.
Applejack couldn’t believe it. No. It cannot be true. Cadence can only be kidding, “but Twilight told us she was happy when she agreed to be a student of the princess”
“She pretended all the time, Applejack”, replied Cadence with a wicked smile.
Applejack was startled, “How do you know my name?”
“Twilight told me their names. She told me you guys are so stupid to believe she would want to be friends with you all”, replied Cadence, still smiling evilly.
Applejack felt she was going to cry. Why? Why was Twilight really like this and pretended to be another pony? Something wasn’t right. This couldn’t be the real Twilight. It had to be a fake Twilight that was taking the place of real Twilight. She needs to act. But what would she do?
‘Cadence’ noticed the silence and decided to tease, “What happened? Did the cat eat your tongue?” That said, she started to laugh.
Applejack’s sad expression changed to an angry one. She took a stone from the floor and threw it into the crystal that ‘Cadence’ was on. But ‘Cadence’ was faster. She laughed as she appeared in another crystal. Applejack threw another stone into the crystal that ‘Cadence’ was on, but it soon disappeared. Applejack saw ‘Cadence’ in another crystal, and threw a stone to break, but when she did that, behind the crystal wall was Cadence with a messy mane, she was with her eyes closed, before opening her eyes and seeing that She was released. Applejack, braced to attack, she glared at Cadence.
Cadence was startled, “No! Wait!” But it was no use, because Applejack jumped on her.
Cadence had her eyes closed, “Please, don’t hurt me. Please don’t ... Applejack?” asked Cadence, now looking at Applejack. Applejack was confused.
“Applejack, did she arrest you here too?” asked Cadence.
“Don’t lie to me. I know it was you who arrested me!” exclaimed Applejack angrily.
“I didn’t arrest you here. I can prove it!” cried Cadence, almost in despair.
“Prove it then!” exclaimed Applejack, still annoyed.
“I know who arrested us here”
“Really? Who?”
“Chrysalis”, said Cadence.
Applejack was confused, “but what the hell? Who is this Chrysalis?”
“She is the queen of the Changelings. And she arrested me here to pretend to be me to marry Shining Armor who for his subjects to invade and dominate Equestria”, replied Cadence.
Applejack didn’t know if she should believed, “I don’t know if I trust you yet”
“I know another way I can prove it”, said Cadence.
“Really? How?” asked Applejack.
“Do you know the color of the other Cadence aura?” asked Cadence.
Applejack thought before answering, “If I’m not mistaken, it’s green”
“My aura isn’t green”, said Cadence.
Applejack still doubted, “show me”
Cadence picked up a stone from the floor, and to Applejack’s surprise, the color of this Cadence’s aura was blue, not green. Cadence grinned nervously, “now you believe me?”
Applejack smiled, “Now I believe you. Come on, we have to get out of here”, said Applejack before starting to run. Cadence followed her.
Meanwhile, in Canterlot Castle, in a castle room, ‘Cadence’ was already wearing her wedding dress, and she took a rose and placed it next to her ear and began to sing.
“This day is going to be perfect. The kind of day of which I’ve been dreamed since I was small”, sang. Cadence’.
“Every pony will gather round, say i look lovely in my gown. What they don’t know is that I have fooled them all”, sang Cadence, before her eyes went green.
“This day was going to be perfect. The kind of day which I’ve dreamed since I was small, ”sang Cadence. Applejack looked sad.
“But instead of having cake with all my friends to and my wedding bells, they may not ring for me at all”, sang Cadence.
“I could care less about the dress. I won’t partake in any cake”, sang Cadence, before kicking a table with a fruit basket.
“Vows? Well, I’ll be lying when I say. That through any kind of weather, i’ll want us to be together. The truth is, I don’t care for him at all”, sang‘ Cadence ’.
“No, i don’t love the groom. In my heart, there is no room. But i still want him to be all mine”, sang Cadence.
“We must escape before it’s too late. Find a way to save the day. Hope? I’ll be lying if i say”, sang Cadence. Applejack was beside her before they started running.
“I don’t fear that I may lose him to one who wants to use him, not care for, love, and cherish him each day”, sang Cadence as they ran and saw a mine cart. Applejack looked insecure until Cadence went to the cart to pull it.
“For oh, so love the groom. All my thoughts, he does”, sang Cadence as he tried to pull the mine cart, but failed. Applejack went to Cadence and removed the stones that prevented the cart from moving with its hooves. Applejack put Cadence on her back before putting Cadence in the mine cart
“Oh, Shining Armor. I’ll be there very soon”, sang Cadence as Applejack tried to push the cart of mine with the hooves and she succeeded. The cart spun down. But when the rails were over, the cart crashed. Applejack thought it was going to fall, but Cadence began to fly.
The wedding began, the doors opened and everyone saw ‘Cadence’ smile, “finally, the moment has arrived. For me, to be a lucky bride”
Applejack and Cadence landed as they ran to find their way out, but found a wall, “Oh, the wedding we won’t make. He’ll end up marrying a fake. Shining Armor will be… ”
“... Mine, all mine”, sang ‘Cadence malign, before laughing evily.
Applejack and Cadence looked at the wall. Cadence used a teleportation spell and they appeared elsewhere. But they were not alone.
“You’re not going anywhere”, said the three bridesmares in unison.
Meanwhile, in the room where the wedding was taking place, Celestia was about to declare husband and wife until…
“Stop everything!”
Celestia, Cadence, Twilight, their friends, and the guests looked and saw Applejack. The friends looked with a look of “oh no” while Twilight had a look of anger, lucky that nopony was noticing.
“You again? Why are you trying to ruin my special day? ” ‘Cadence’ pretended to cry.
“Because it’s not your special day. It’s mine”, said Cadence. Behind her was Applejack.
“What? How did you escape my bridesmares? ”asked Cadance, now confused. Applejack and Cadence looked at each other.
The three bridesmares approached Applejack and Cadence as they walked away. Cadence had an idea. She popped a bouquet of flowers and showed the three mares before throwing them away. The three went after the bouquet.
“It’s mine!”
Applejack and Cadence watched the three mares leave before they looked at each other and continued on their way to find their way out.
Twilight pretended to be confused, “two Cadence? But how is this possible? This is scientifically impossible”
“She’s a changeling! She takes the form of who you are and feeds on that love you have for him”, explained Cadence.
‘Cadence’s eyes flashed green as her horn glowed green. A circle formed and rose. Everypony had to cover their eyes. When they opened their eyes, they were surprised, less Twilight, who smiled wickedly. ‘Cadence’ wings became Changeling’s wings, the pink hooves became black hooves with holes, and the pink horn became a crooked horn. Chrysalis laughed.
“You’re right. As queen of the Changelings it is my duty to find love for my subjects”, they all looked with a look of possible fright, less Twilight who kept smiling. She just hasn’t revealed her identity yet because of Applejack and her stupid babysitter.
Chrysalis went down the few floors, “and Equestria has more love anywhere else I’ve found”
“You won’t make it!” Cried Cadence. “Shining Armor’s love for me is stronger”
Chrysalis laughed, “I doubt very much”
Chrysalis looked at Shining Armor as she used her magic, “Isn’t that right, honey?”
“Un-huh”, agreed Shining Armor.
Cadence started running to Shining Armor. But Chrysalis intervened as she prepared to use her magic, “ah-ah. You don’t want to go back to that cave, do you?”
Cadence took a few steps back. Chrysalis stopped preparing her magic, she returned to where she was, “going on, every moment I absorb Shining Armor’s love, he becomes weak. Just like your spell to protect Canterlot”
“Not my Shining Armor”, said Cadence with a raised hoof.
“And with no pony hindered, me, my daughter and the Changelings will dominate all Equestria!” exclaimed Chrysalis, now flying.
“No”, Chrysalis looked back. Celestia was looking at her, not happy.
“You, your daughter, and your subjects will not”, finished Celestia. Chrysalis landed on the floor.
“You may have taken the love of Shining Armor, but you, your daughter, and your subjects will not dominate Equestria”, said Celestia, before heading toward Chrysalis. Twilight realized she had to do something and she did. She intervened the fight that was going to start by getting in the middle. Twilight was looking at Celestia unhappy. Unlike Chrysalis, who smiled at that
Celestia was surprised by this, “Twilight, could you please get out of the way?”
“No! I will not get out of the way. And you won’t hurt my mother”, said Twilight Sparkle, still looking at Celestia. Everypony except Chrysalis and Shining Armor sighed in surprise at the last two words. But the ponies that were most surprised were the ‘friends’ of Twilight, Spike, Cadence and mostly Celestia.
“Twilight, what are you talking about? Your parents are Twilight Velvet and Night Light”, said Celestia, still not believing.
“They were never my real parents. I pretended to be a fatherless foal so a family could ‘adopt’ me”, replied Twilight Sparkle.
Celestia couldn’t believe it, “but what about you being my student, Twilight? You were happy when you accepted to be my student”
What Twilight would say next would shock her, “I faked it all the time. You were never a mother and a teacher to me”
Celestia was saddened by these words and began to cry. Everypony, except Twilight, Chrysalis and Shining Armor were surprised. Rainbow Dash was annoyed, “How dare you make the princess cry?!” Rainbow Dash intended to fly to Twilight to give her a piece of her mind. But Rarity held Rainbow with her magic.
Twilight Sparkle laughed at that, “what happened, Rainbow Crash? Are you offended?”
Rainbow Dash stopped struggling and landed on the floor shocked by what she heard, “what did you call me…?”
“I called you Rainbow Crash, Rainbow Crash!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle with a mean smile on her face.
Rainbow Dash couldn’t believe that her friend was teasing her. She was fighting not to cry, “What happened to you, Twilight? Why are you like that?”
Twilight Sparkle looked at the owner of the voice and saw that it was Cadence, “well, well. If it’s not my boring babysitter!”
Cadence was offended by comment, but kept talking, “Twilight, why are you supporting Chrysalis? She is a threat to all Equestria”
Twilight Sparkle was annoyed by this, “Don’t talk about my mom like that!”
Cadence was surprised by the way Twilight spoke to her. Twilight was never about being angry or yelling at her, “Twilight, I still don’t understand. Why do you see Chrysalis as your mother?”
“Because I’m a Changeling”, answered Twilight Sparkle.
“Twilight, you’re not a changeling. I know that because it has no ability to change shape”, said Cadence.
Twilight knew Cadence would underestimate her and not believe her, but she knew what to do. Twilight closed her eyes, used her magic and did the same as her mother did to reveal herself to be Changeling. Changeling wings appeared, the lavender color of the hooves turned a dark purple and the unicorn horn became a changeling horn with holes. Twilight opened her eyes, and her eyes were different: The pupil was a slit, the iris was purple lilac. And her mane and tail had holes, the pink stripe of the mane and tail was a stronger shade of pink, like a hot pink, and the purple stripe was now lilac.
Everypony was surprised to see the true identity of Twilight, the only one smiling was Chrysalis, because after all, Twilight was her daughter. She had no reason to be afraid or surprised at Twilight’s true identity.
Celestia couldn’t believe what she was seeing: The filly that she always considered her daughter was actually a Changeling all the time. She began to cry again. Twilight looked at Celestia. She smiled wickedly. Seeing Celestia suffer this way made her feel great.
Celestia knew she couldn’t just cry, she needed to do something. But what would she do? What good would it be to ask the former friends of Twilight to pick up the elements of harmony? Without Twilight, the elements wouldn’t work. Twilight represented the element of magic.
When Twilight came out of the hive, she decided to check if she had everything she needed for her mission: Inside of her backpack was a map and a teddy of her mother. She decided before leaving to take the form of a pony. She took the shape of a lavender-colored female unicorn with dark blue mane and tail with pink and purple stripes and purple irises. But she wasn’t a grown mare, she was a foal. This made Twilight a little disappointed. But she was going to find a way for this to work in her favor. One thing she knew was going to be a long journey to Canterlot.
Meanwhile, in the hive, Chrysalis was watching her daughter in a crystal ball in a room where had a door that had to be unlocked, had to solve a puzzle. Chrysalis was lying facedown on the pink couch while staring at the crystal ball. She wondered if her daughter would be all right. It was hard for Chrysalis to do this: Having to get Twilight out of the hive to spy on Celestia. The reason she sent Twilight was because Twilight could pretend to be another pony very well.
It was still day and Twilight was in a forest. She didn’t know which forest she was. But the forest looked pretty scary at night. She used her magic to illuminate. She did not intend to sleep in the middle of this forest. Twilight continued to walk, but she suddenly heard a howl. Twilight glanced back to see a timber wolf slowly approaching as he drooled with hunger. Twilight didn’t know what to do. She decided to attack the wolf with magic, but it was useless. The magic made Timber wolf just go backwards and not kill it. But at least it gave her time to run away. As she ran, she looked back and saw that the wolf started running until Twilight. Twilight didn’t know what to do. Twilight decided to try teleport. Twilight closed her eyes as she ran and used her magic to teleport away from the woods and the timber wolf. And lucky for her, she did it. The timber wolf stopped running and was confused by what just happened.
The teleportation spell worked and Twilight didn’t know where she was. Twilight looked around and saw unicorns walking and some foals playing. Twilight was confused. She didn’t know if she was in Canterlot or Manehattan. She took the map from her backpack, unrolled it, and looked at it. She looked for Canterlot on the map, saw that it had a drawing of a castle, and next to the drawing was written “Canterlot”. Twilight rolled up the map again and looked up and saw that it had a tower of a castle. Twilight smiled. She was in the right place. Twilight stopped looking up and started running to the castle. But she soon hit somepony. Twilight fell backwards.
“I’m so sorry”
Twilight looked up and saw a white unicorn mare with white mane with purple stripes. Her Cutie Mark was three purple stars. Beside her was a blue unicorn stallion with dark blue mane and two-moored Cutie Mark, a smaller white crescent and a waning yellow. Twilight pretended not to be angry, “It’s fine. I should have realized that you were coming”
The couple looked at each other before looking at the foal, “I’m Twilight Velvet and my husband is called Night Light. You’re lost?”
Twilight got up before looking at the couple, “no. Why?”
“Where are your parents?” asked Twilight Velvet.
Twilight could’t reveal that she was the Changeling Queen’s daughter. So she decided to say that she had no parents. She could use the love they feel for her to feed. But one thing Twilight knew, she would have to be strong not to want to spit pony food, “I have no parents”, lied Twilight as she made a sad face.
The couple looked at each other. Who spoke first was Twilight Velvet, “so, honey? Should we adopt her?”
“Shining Armor has been feeling lonely. I think he would love to have a sister”, replied Night Light.
“You’re right. Let’s adopt it”, said Twilight Velvet resolutely as she smiled.
Meanwhile, in the hive, Chrysalis was angry and promised that when she and her Changelings invaded Canterlot, she would wipe out the couple who took her daughter.
The Changelings hit the shield until they flew up a bit before they hit the shield and managed to break it. The pony trembled from the tremor. The Changelings began to fly to the ground while using magic. The ponies began to run in terror.
Meanwhile, at Canterlot Castle, Cadence, her friends and Spike were trapped in a green goo-stick, Celestia was in a cocoon, and Shining Armor was still in the same spot, no goo in the hooves. On the balcony, Chrysalis and Twilight watched the Changelings chase after the ponies. They smiled at that.
“This day has been just perfect,” started singing Chrysalis. “The kind of day which I’ve dreamed since i was small”
“Everypony I’ll soon control. Every stallion, mare and foal. Who says a girl can’t really have it all?” sang Chrysalis. When she finished singing, Chrysalis she laughed a little. Twilight laughed a little too.
But their happiness was soon broken, because the doors opened. Yes. They closed the door for no one else but the Changelings to enter. Chrysalis and Twilight looked back and saw Luna, “But what,in Fust is happening here?” asked Luna surprised to see Cadence and her friends trapped in a green slime. But what surprised her most was seeing her sister in a green cocoon.
Luna flew to the cocoon, “sister? Can you hear me?” asked Luna desperately.
But Celestia didn’t have time to answer, because she and Luna heard footsteps. Luna looked down and saw Chrysalis and Twilight approaching. Luna glared at Chrysalis, “you! So it was you who planned this attack on Canterlot! You will pay for it, Queen Chrysalis!”
Queen Chrysalis laughed as Twilight Sparkle smiled wickedly, “Do you think I managed to accomplish this on my own, Luna?”
Luna was surprised, but continued with a serious expression, “How do you know our name?”
“My daughter told me all about your ‘friends’, ‘mentor’, ‘babysitter’ and about you”, replied Chrysalis.
“And where is your daughter?” asked Luna.
“She’s here”, Chrysalis pointed to Twilight before hugging with a hoof as she closed her eyes and had a toothy grin.
Luna couldn’t believe it: Chrysalis had a daughter. But why did this Changeling remind her of somepony?
“You remind us of somepony, Changeling”, said Luna with a hoof on her chin.
Twilight Sparkle came out of the hug to say, “Really? Who do you think I am? Don’t you recognize me, Luna?”
Luna couldn’t believe what she was seeing. This could only be a dream. It could only be a nightmare, “no… you can’t be Twilight Sparkle…”
“I’m am Twilight Sparkle, Luna,” said Twilight Sparkle. “I was always a changeling”
“It can’t be true”, denied Luna, still incredulous.
“Yes, it is true, princess”
Luna looked the way the voice was coming and realized that Applejack was the one who spoke, looking at Luna, “Twilight Sparkle has always been a Changeling. I started to suspect her when Twilight spit out the cupcake I put in her mouth. But nopony has heard me and look where we are now”, Applejack closed her eyes as she let out a breath.
Princess Luna knew that Applejack was the element of Honesty. But she couldn’t believe that Twilight would betray Equestria like that, “Why, Twilight? Why are you doing this?”
Twilight approached Luna, “because I’m am loyal to my mother. I wouldn’t betray her trust”
“Twilight, don’t you realize that the Changelings are attacking Canterlot? Chrysalis doesn’t plan to feed her subjects, she plans to dominate all Equestria”, said Luna.
“Lie! My mother only wants the best for me and her other subjects!” denied Twilight Sparkle, now angry.
“Twilight, I know you still care about your friends, Cadence and Celestia. Please, surrender. I don’t want to have to fight against my first friend”, said Luna.
Twilight Sparkle was annoyed, “I don’t care about them and I’m am not your friend!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle while casting a damage spell on Luna. Luna put a shield on the spot.
When Twilight stopped attacking, Luna took off her shield and let out a sigh, “so you won’t surrender easily, right?”
“No. I will always be faithful to my mother!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle before casting a damage spell, but Luna cast a damage spell as well, but as much as she didn’t want to hurt Twilight, she had no choice.
The two spells were fighting. One to gain control of the other. Twilight was doing its best to win, but Luna’s magic was stronger and went to the Twilight horn and she fell backwards while her eyes were closed. Chrysalis, startled, went to her daughter to see if Twilight was all right. Luna felt sorry for doing this, but Twilight didn’t want to surrender. She had no choice.
“Daughter, please talk to me”, Chrysalis begged in a desperate way.
Twilight Sparkle opened her eyes slowly, before looking at Chrysalis, “Mom…”
“It’s fine, daughter. I’m here”, said Chrysalis with a smile, before glaring at Luna.
Chrysalis, angry, approached Luna, “How dare you hurt my daughter?!”
“She didn’t give me a choice. I asked her to stop”, said Luna.
“So why didn’t you surrender or put on a shield instead?”asked Chrysalis, still annoyed.
“It was the only thing I could think of to do”, said Luna.
“Was that the only thing you thought? You will see what I will do to you!” exclaimed Chrysalis, before casting a damage spell. Luna was hit, stayed unconscious and fell to the floor.
When Luna woke up, she was no longer in Equestria. She was in her mind. And everything was dark. Well, she was unconscious in the real world, what else could she do?
Suddenly Luna shivered all over her body. Luna began to tremble.
No…
The thing went to Luna’s face.
Luna, Luna. We meet again.
Luna’s ears brightened at the voice. No. It can’t be her. Impossible! The thing took the form of a black alicorn with light blue armor, blue helmet and dragon slits. This thing was nothing more, nothing less than Nightmare Moon!
“I’m back, Luna”, said Nightmare Moon with a smile.
“No. It can’t be. It can’t be. You’re not real!!” exclaimed Luna in a panic. How? Twilight and her friends had defeated her.
“How did you get back? Twilight and her friends defeated you with the Elements of Harmony!”
“Silly Luna. The elements didn’t defeat me just made me sleep for a few months. But now I’m back”
“But how?” asked Luna.
“Twilight was a changeling all the time. But the Magic element didn’t realize it and chose Twilight as the element carrier, so as a consequence it didn’t destroy me, it just made me sleep for a few months”
Luna was now more afraid than before, “please, I don’t want to cause eternal night! Just go away!”
Nightmare Moon was surprised by this, “But I don’t mean to cause eternal night”
Luna seemed calmer, but also surprised, “what?”
“I don’t mean to cause eternal night”, repeated Nightmare Moon.
“As I watched you talking to Chrysalis and Twilight. I began to realize that Equestria was in serious danger. Your sister was trapped in a green cocoon, your friends and Cadence were trapped as well and Shining Armor was under a spell that Chrysalis put on him”, explained Nightmare Moon.
Luna was confused, “I know that. But what do you mean?”
“Let me take control”, asked Nightmare Moon.
Luna was scared, “what? No!”
“I don’t intend to cause the night, Luna. I just want to help you save the world”, explained Nightmare Moon.
“Actually, who would be saving the world would be you”, Luna pointed out.
Nightmare Moon seemed nervous about it. She looked sideways while scratching her knee with a hoof before looking at Luna, “Luna, you know we’re one and the same, right?” She stopped scratching her knee with her hoof, but kept her hoof on her knee while she was looking at Luna.
“I’m not you!” exclaimed Luna in denial.
“Luna, I’m not that evil mare that everypony fears anymore. Just like you, I want to be appreciated and I want to help save Equestria”, said Nightmare Moon.
Luna didn’t know if she believed that, “How can I know you’re not lying?”
“Luna, don’t you realize I’m thinking more about the ponies than myself?” asked Nightmare Moon. “I’m more concerned about what will happen to our subjects than my night being enjoyed by the ponies”
Until what Nightmare Moon said was true. Luna realized that Nightmare Moon was not like before. Normally, Nightmare would be talking about how much she hated Celestia, and how much all the ponies would have to sleep and wake up in an eternal night. But now, Nightmare Moon was worried about the future of Equestria.
Nightmare Moon was smiling hopefully, “So? I can?”
Luna thought. She wanted to try to save Equestria without Nightmare’s help.repeated Nightmare Moon. If she failed , Luna will let Nightmare Moon take control, “no, Nightmare. But you can if I can’t stop Chrysalis and Twilight”
Nightmare Moon blew out a breath. She thought Luna would believe her. But it seemed that Luna still saw her as evil. Well, now she just have to watch Luna try to save Equestria, and hope for nothing bad to happens.
When Twilight and her foster parents came into the house, a white stallion with dark blue mane with light blue came to her parents. But he stopped seeing Twilight. He raised an eyebrow before looking at Twilight Velvet, “Mom, who is she?”
“Shining Armor, this is your new sister, Twilight Sparkle”, replied Twilight Velvet with a smile.
Shining Armor looked back at Twilight Sparkle and smiled. Twilight smiled back not to arouse suspicion. She began to jump with false joy around Shining Armor. The parents were smiling at this beautiful scene.
In the hive, Chrysalis began to wonder if Twilight was pretending to be happy or if Twilight was really happy. She planned to send a letter to her daughter later.
When night came, Twilight knew it was time for dinner shortly. She was nervous that they would suspected her to end up spitting out the food. Well, she would have to be strong and hope that Faust was by her side at this difficult time. She went to the balcony and looked out over the city. She decided to watch the night sky and was surprised to see a silhouette of a mare on the moon. Twilight found it strange, but decided not to question herself. Twilight stepped off the balcony and decided to go back to the bedroom. Twilight saw a bookcase and approached curiously. She saw something on the shelves. Twilight took it with its magic and opened it to see. She was surprised that she had words written. Twilight sat on the bed to read. It caught her attention. She lay on the bed to read. As she read, she began to smile. She didn’t know the name of it, but she loved reading.
“Twilight! Shining! Dinner!”
Twilight Sparkle has stopped reading. She left the book open to read on. She intended to ask what was on the bookcase and what was called what was read and had a hard cover. As she descended the stairs, Twilight saw her ‘mother’, her ‘father’ serving theyself and Shining Armor was already eating. And the Twilight Sparkle dish already had food. Twilight realized that the chair next to Shining Armor was empty. Twilight was grumpy, but as she walked down the stairs, she pretended to smile. Twilight Velvet heard footsteps and smiled as she saw her new daughter.
Twilight Sparkle sat down and looked at the food. She might be smiling on the outside, but inside, she was very nervous. Could her cover be discovered? Did they find Twilight suspicious for spitting the food? Well, now just pray that they didn’t think she would start spitting out food. Twilight nervously grabbed the fork, grabbed some of the pasta with tomato sauce, approached the pasta fork to her mouth, proved and…
Twilight Made a grimace. But she managed to swallow. Lucky that her ‘brother’ and her ‘parents’ were busy eating. Twilight didn’t know if she was lucky or if her foster family was always busy eating to notice. But she hoped it was the second option.
After dinner, Twilight went to her room, but she remembered something. Twilight went to her mom, “mom”
Twilight Velvet, who was washing the dishes, stopped, “yes, daughter?”
Twilight felt annoyed that her foster mother called her that. She didn’t consider Velvet her mother. Who she considered her mother was Chrysalis. But she didn’t demonstrate, “What is the name of the object we read that has a hard cover?”
“It’s called books, dear”, answered Twilight Velvet.
Twilight Sparkle gave an “Oh” before returning to the bedroom. So what she was reading was books? She couldn’t help denying that she loved. But she knew she shouldn’t be distracted. She came to this family to steal their love for Twilight Sparkle and also to spy on Celestia. But how would she spy on Celestia? Twilight’s plan was to pretend to be a foal for Celestia to adopt her, but it seemed that plan went downhill. Now she had to find another way to spy on Celestia without pretending to be a parentless foal.
Twilight Sparkle entered the room and decided to go to the balcony to reflect. Suddenly a rolled scroll appeared out of nowhere. Twilight Sparkle raised an eyebrow. She usually didn’t receive letters. Twilight took the rolled parchment and opened it to read.
“Twilight, I’ve been watching you and I started to worry. Are you ok in this family? Did any of them hurt you? Were you really happy to be in another family or did you just pretend? I hope for your answer. Signed Chrysalis”
Twilight was worried. She looked around the room for quill, ink and parchment. And lucky for her, there was the quill, the ink and the parchment were on a desk. In fact, there was more than one scroll, which was good. Twilight approached the table and jumped in her chair to sit down, took a scroll, dipped her quill in ink, and began writing an answer to her mother.
“I’m fine, mom. No worries, they didn’t do me any harm to me. I’m fine in this family. I wasn’t really happy to be adopted by another family, I just pretended not to look suspicious. Although I have to change the plans dramatically, I still plan to peek at Celestia somehow. I just have to find out how now. Well, when I find a way to spy on Celestia, I’ll send you a letter. Signed Twilight Sparkle”
Twilight Sparkle rolled the letter, went to the balcony and set fire to her magic to send to her mother, now just wait for Chrysalis to receive the letter. To distract herself, Twilight received a little reading to distract herself. Twilight lay in bed and went back to reading the book she was reading before dinner.
Chrysalis was in the same room, watching Twilight read until she heard a sound. Chrysalis turned to the side and saw that on the floor was a rolled parchment. Chrysalis rose from the pink couch and picked up the scroll with her magic to read. As Chrysalis read, she smiled relief. She was relieved that her daughter was fine. She swore that if this new family that adopted Twilight had hurt her daughter before Twilight sent the letter, she would go to where this family lived and maybe even bring Twilight back to the hive
Twilight looked at the same place the scroll came from and saw that another rolled scroll had arrived. Twilight rushed over to the rolled scroll and opened it to read.
“I’m glad to hear that, daughter. I thought this family that adopted you would hurt you. I hope you can find a way to spy on Celestia. Signed Chrysalis”
Twilight closed the scroll as she closed her eyes and smiled. Twilight intended to read a little before bedtime.
Luna woke up and lifted her head off the floor. She noticed that Twilight and Chrysalis had left the room. Luna wondered where they went. But Luna knew she should find a way to stop them both. To tell the truth, Luna intended to stop Chrysalis and find a way to make Twilight good. Because even though Twilight was faking it all the time, she saw Twilight as her first friend. She intended to leave the room she was in, but a voice stopped her.
“Princess, won’t you help us?”
Luna looked back and saw that it was Rainbow Dash. Applejack wished the ooze wasn’t in its hulls, because that way she could, with her hull, cover Rainbow Dash’s mouth. Luna approached where Cadence, Shining Armor and their friends were, “I’m sorry, friends. I forgot about all of you”, Luna tried to use her magic to peel the gooies off her friends and Cadence, and luckily, she did it.
Cadence saw that Shining Armor was standing still. She approached him, but Shining Armor said nothing and did nothing. Cadence felt tears in her eyes. She hugged him. While doing this, her magic made a heart and went to Shining Armor’s face before bursting. Shining Armor squinted for a moment before shaking his head, “what… what’s happened?” Cadence smiled.
Shining Armor looked around confusedly. Why did the wedding guests disappear? Where was your sister? “Where are the guests? Where is Twilight?”
Everypony except Shining Armor got nervous. How would they explain to Shining Armor that Twilight was actually a Changeling? Applejack decided to reply, “About the guests is because the Changelings have invaded Canterlot”
Shining Armor was confused but surprised at the same time. How? How did the Changelings invade? But most importantly, how did the Changelings manage to destroy the shield he placed? “I dont understand. How did the Changelings destroy the shield?”
Cadence approached Shining Armor, “Chrysalis, the Queen of Changelings, has been feeding on your love, and it has made you weak, just like your spell to protect Canterlot”
Shining Armor got scared. He failed Canterlot and all Equestria. But he decided to believe he still had hopes, “and Twilight? She is fine? Where’s she?”
Applejack was unsure. How would she explain it without hurting Shining Armor’s feelings? “About Twilight… She… Yeah… Let’s say…”
But Spike interrupted her, “... Twilight was a Changeling all the time!” Applejack looked at Spike unhappy.
Shining Armor was surprised, but then laughed, “ok. That was good, Spike”
Spike was surprised that Shining didn’t believe him, “no, Shining. It is true”
“Sorry, Spike. But you will have to prove it”, said Shining Armor. Spike was sad. Rarity comforted him.
“I know how we can prove it”, said Cadence with an idea.
“Really? What’s your idea?” asked Shining Armor.
Princess Cadence used a spell so she, Shining Armor, and the others could see a scene that has already happened. Cadence showed the scene when Twilight got in the middle of the upcoming fight.
”You may have taken the love of Shining Armor, but you, your daughter, and your subjects will not dominate Equestria”, said Celestia, before heading toward Chrysalis. Twilight realized she had to do something and she did. She intervened the fight that was going to start by getting in the middle. Twilight was looking at Celestia unhappy. Unlike Chrysalis, who smiled at that.
Shining Armor was surprised by this. Why was Twilight defending a villain?
Celestia was surprised by this, “Twilight, could you please get out of the way?”
“No! I will not get out of the way. And you won’t hurt my mother”, said Twilight Sparkle, still looking at Celestia. Everypony except Chrysalis and Shining Armor sighed in surprise at the last two words. But the ponies that were most surprised were the ‘friends’ of Twilight, Spike, Cadence and mostly Celestia.
Shining Armor was surprised by the last two words. Was Chrysalis the mother of your sister? It cannot be true. Twilight’s parents were Twilight Velvet and Night Light. Twilight could only be kidding. It couldn’t be true.
“Twilight, what are you talking about? Your parents are Twilight Velvet and Night Light”, said Celestia, still not believing.
“They were never my real parents. I pretended to be a fatherless foal so a family could ‘adopt’ me.
Celestia couldn’t believe it, “but what about you being my student, Twilight? You were happy when you accepted to be my student”
What Twilight would say next would shock her, “I faked it all the time. You were never a mother and teacher to me”
Shining Armor was surprised that Twilight spoke to Celestia that way.
Celestia was saddened by these words and began to cry. Everypony except Twilight, Chrysalis and Shining Armor were surprised. Rainbow Dash was annoyed, “How dare you make the princess cry?! ”Rainbow Dash intended to fly to Twilight to give her a piece of her mind. But Rarity held her with her magic.
Twilight Sparkle laughed at that, “What’s up, Rainbow Crash? Are you offended?”
Rainbow Dash began to cry upon seeing this scene again. Applejack comforted her.
Rainbow Dash stopped struggling and landed on the floor shocked by what she heard, “what did you call me…?”
“I called you Rainbow Crash, Rainbow Crash!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle with a mean smile on her face.
Rainbow Dash couldn’t believe her friend was teasing her. She was fighting not to cry, “What happened to you, Twilight? Why are you like that?”
Twilight Sparkle looked at the owner of the voice and saw that it was Cadence, “well, well. If it’s not my boring babysitter!”
Shining Armor was shocked to see Twilight call Cadence boring. What happened to your sister?
Cadence was offended by the comment, but continued to say, “Twilight, why are you supporting Chrysalis? She is a threat to all Equestria ”
Twilight Sparkle was annoyed by this, “Don’t talk about my mom like that!”
Shining Armor couldn’t accept the truth. He looked incredulous.
Cadence was surprised by the way Twilight spoke to her. Twilight was never about being angry or yelling at her, “Twilight, I still don’t understand. Why do you see Chrysalis as your mother?”
“Because I’m a Changeling”, answered Twilight Sparkle.
Shining Armor was shocked by this revelation. No. It couldn’t be true. Your sister couldn’t be a changeling.
“Twilight, you’re not a changeling. I know that because you has no ability to change shape”, said Cadence.
Twilight knew Cadence would underestimate her and not believe her, but she knew what to do. Twilight closed his eyes, used her magic and did the same as his mother did to reveal herself to be Changeling. Changeling wings appeared, the lavender color of the hooves became a dark purple and the unicorn horn became a changeling horn with holes. Twilight opened his eyes, and his eyes were different: The pupil was a slit, the iris was purple lilac. And her mane and tail had holes, the pink stripe of the mane and tail was a stronger shade of pink, like a hot pink, and the purple stripe was now lilac.
Shining Armor felt like crying as his sister revealed herself. Was your own sister a Changeling?
Everypony was surprised to see the true identity of Twilight, the only one smiling was Chrysalis, because after all, Twilight was her daughter. She had no reason to be afraid or surprised at Twilight’s true identity.
Celestia couldn’t believe what she was seeing: The foal that she always considered her daughter was actually a Changeling all the time. She began to cry again. Twilight looked at Celestia. She smiled wickedly. Seeing Celestia suffer this way made her feel great.
Shining Armor couldn’t believe that Twilight was smiling wickedly that she was watching Celestia cry.
Celestia knew she couldn’t just cry, she needed to do something. But what would she do? What good would it be to ask the friends of Twilight to pick up the elements of harmony? Without Twilight, the elements wouldn’t work. Twilight represented the element of magic.
When the scene was over, Shining Armor felt like he was crying. Cadence looked at Shining Armor, “So, Shining? Do you believe us now?”
Shining Armor still seemed to deny the truth, “no… it can’t be true…”
“I’m sorry, Shining. But it’s true. I didn’t believe it at first either”, said Cadence.
“But she was so happy to finally have a family…”
“She pretended and lied well to all of us”
Shining Armor couldn’t take it and decided to leave, “Shining, where are you going?”
Shining Armor looked back, “I’m going to my room, Cadence. I need to reflect on that”, when Shining Armor left, he closed the door.
Applejack went to Luna, “now we just have to release Princess Celestia”
Luna looked up and saw Celestia still in the cocoon. Luna flew to the cocoon, “Sister, are you alright?”
“Yes, Luna. Although being upside down for a long time is making me dizzy now”, replied Celestia as she put a hoof on her head.
“Don’t fear, sister. We will help you out of the cocoon”, said Luna, before using her magic to destroy the cocoon, but it had no effect, “strange. Why couldn’t I destroy the cocoon, but the gooies I could?”
Applejack said now, “maybe cocoons are tougher than goo”
Luna looked at Applejack, “may be true, Applejack”
In the hallway, Shining Armor was still puzzled by the truth. It couldn’t be true. They could only be lying. It could only be a lie. It couldn’t be true. While walking several royal guards raised an eyebrow, “Captain, is everything all right?”
Shining Armor looked at the royal guard, “yes. Don’t worry”
The guard didn’t seem to believe his captain’s words, “Are you sure, captain? Looks like something is bothering you”
“Don’t worry about me. I’ll be fine. I’ll just go to my room”, said Shining Armor, now looking to the side.
The guard decided not to question anymore and allowed Shining Armor to pass. Yes. The guard was in front of his captain. When Shining Armor walked again, thoughts of her sister still perplexed her. It couldn’t be true. Was your sister a Changeling? Cadence said Twilight pretended and lied well, but he couldn’t believe what Cadence said. This Changeling could only be another Changeling. The real Twilight had to be somewhere in Equestria. When he arrived in the room, Shining Armor opened the door and closed the door with his magic, went to his bed to reflect on the truth that was told to him.
Twilight was reading books. Twilight couldn’t deny that she was having so much fun. She spent most of her time reading books. Until, she heard a knock on the door before it opened. Twilight looked over to where the sound came from and saw her ‘parents’, “honey, we need to get out”
Twilight was confused and raised an eyebrow, “Where to?”
“To go to Summer Sun Celebration, you and your brother come with us”, replied Twilight Velvet.
Twilight was still confused, “What is the Summer Sun Celebration?”
“That’s when the longest day occurs”, replied Night Light.
Twilight figured maybe Celestia was there, so she decided to ask to be sure, “who’s going to be there to raise the sun?”
“Princess Celestia”, replied Twilight Velvet, now confused by why her daughter asks that.
Twilight pretended to be happy, “the princess?! Let’s go then”, she grabbed a backpack and put some books inside before running out of the room.
When Twilight, her ‘parents’ and her ‘brother’ arrived at the festival site, Shining Armor went to have fun. While Twilight grabbed a book from her backpack to read. Twilight’s parents were confused, “Twilight”, began Twilight Velvet.
Twilight stopped reading and looked at her ‘mother’, “yes?”
“Aren’t you going to have fun with your brother?” asked Twilight Velvet.
“No. I’m going to be reading a book I brought in until the princess appears to raise the sun”, answered Twilight Sparkle, before reading again.
After Twilight finished reading, she heard her parents, “daughter! Comes! Princess Celestia will raise the sun”
Twilight put the book in her backpack and ran to where her ‘parents’ were. The horns began to ring. Twilight wanted to stay ahead to see Celestia up close. When Celestia appeared, Twilight pretended to be happy to see her. Celestia began to rise. Twilght pretended to be amazed by it. When Celestia reached the top, she raised the sun. When Celestia finished, the ponies cheered except for Twilight who looked ‘amazed’ at what she saw.
When the festival was over, Twilight still pretended to be amazed. Of course your ‘parents’ noticed this, “daughter, is everything ok?” asked Twilight Velvet.
Twilight Sparkle looked at her ‘mother’, “did you see that mother?”
Twilight Velvet was confused, “I saw what?”
“Princess Celestia has raised the sun, mother. Isn’t that amazing?”
When they got home, Twilight picked up several books that had in the house to read. She wanted to read to learn more about magic to improve her skills. Because as she was a Changeling, Twilight wants to hone her skills. She sat in a chair to start reading. In the background, Twilight Velvet motioned for Night Light to follow her. The stallion followed, “Do you want to talk to me about something, honey?”
“Yes, honey”, answered Twilight Velvet, still looking ahead.
“What would you like to talk to me about?” asked Night Light.
Twilight Velvet and Night Light stopped walking. They looked at each other, “It’s about our daughter”
“What about her?” asked Night Light, now confused with his ears down.
“Since Twilight saw Celestia raise the sun, she has decided to study more about magic”, replied Twilight Velvet.
Night Light blinked a few times, “Where are you going with this?”
“I think we should find a school for Twilight to study”, replied Twilight Velvet.
“That’s a good idea, honey. That way she can study and make friends at the same time”, said Night Light with a smile.
When Twilight Sparkle finished reading the last book, she closed it. Beside her was a stack of books. She was tired of reading. She practically read all day. Twilight heard footsteps and saw that they were her ‘parents’. Night Light held in its mouth a leaflet with a V. Twilight approached to read. Twilight couldn’t believe it, she would enter Princess Celestia’s school for gifted unicorn. She began to jump with joy. No. Twilight wasn’t jumping because she was going to be a princess’s student. Twilight was jumping because she could spy on Celestia. The parents look happy at their daughter. Twilight glanced at her parents, “when does my class start? When?” asked Twilight Sparkle all excited.
Night Light took the paper out of his mouth with its magic to read. Twilight Velvet read along. As they read, they looked nervous. Twilight was confused, “Mom? Dad? What happened?”
Night Light and Twilight Velvet looked at their daughter, “daughter ...” began Twilight Velvet, still nervous.
“What happened? Can’t I go to this school?” asked Twilight Sparkle, now in a panic. She was hoping they would say “no”.
“What? That’s not it, daughter”, replied Twilight Velvet, no longer nervous now.
Twilight Sparkle was relieved, “so what is it?”
“you will have to do a test to go to school”, replied Twilight Velvet.
Twilight was nervous and doubtful at the same time, “Are you talking about equal test proves that foals do on paper or is it spell testing?”
Twilight Velvet and Night Light looked at the paper before looking at their daughter again, “spell testing”
Twilight Sparkle got nervous before taking a deep breath, “ok. I think I can read some books to help me prepare for this. When will the test be?”
Twilight Velvet and Night Light looked at the paper again before looking at the foal, “today and it will be at seven o’clock at night”, they looked at the living room clock before looking back at Twilight Sparkle, “it’s almost seven o’clock. We need to go to school now”, said Twilight Velvet and Night Light running with Twilight Sparkle to school.
Upon arriving at school, Twilight Velvet got a number from the receptionist, Twilight Velvet read, “one”, she looked at a TV and saw that she was at number one. Twilight Velvet went to Twilight Sparkle, “Daughter you’re number one”
Twilight Sparkle stopped reading the book she brought and they went to the room where the test was going to be. Twilight was nervous about the test. She looked at her parents. They smiled at her, Twilight became calmer. A door opened and a fur-colored stallion handed over a cart with a dragon egg, “so, Mrs. Sparkle?” asked a mare with glasses. A stallion coughed.
Twilight knew she was good at magic so for her it would be easy peasy. So she used a lot of magic to make the egg break and the egg did break. Everypony except Twilight Sparkle was surprised. Twilight smiled with pride. If that didn’t make her a student of Celestia, she didn’t know what else to do. She looked at the jurors and saw that one of them was writing a letter. The jurors were not looking at her. Twilight looked at her’ parents’ and saw that they were talking. Twilight took advantage of this moment to use a spell that would make a Cutie Mark appear on her flanc. The Cutie Mark that appeared was a six-pointed pink star surrounded by five white stars. Sound of footsteps were heard, Twilight Sparkle looked back and saw Celestia smiling at her. Twilight rushed to Celestia in false joy, “Princess Celestia!”
“You’re Twilight Sparkle, right?” asked Celestia with a smile.
Twilight, still smiling, replied, “yes, princess”
“Did you make that dragon egg crack?” asked Celestia, now pointing with a hoof to the baby dragon in the stroller.
Twilight was already getting annoyed by these questions, but kept her cool, “yes, princess. Where do you want to go with this?”
“I have never seen a unicorn with such talent”, replied Celestia.
“Huh?” pretended Twilight Sparkle to be confused.
“Twilight, would you like to be my student?” asked Celestia.
“Yes!!” exclaimed Twilight Sparkle, now in the air with false joy.
“Another thing, Twilight”
“More?” asked Twilight Sparkle before falling to the floor. Celestia approached Twilight and pointed with a hoof to the flank of Twilight. Twilight looked at his Cutie Mark, “my Cutie Mark! Yes! Yes! Yes!” she started jumping around Celestia in false joy. Now just send a letter to your mother saying she’ll be able to spy on Celestia. But she knew she needed to study too so as not to arouse suspicion of her ‘mentor’.
Twilight Sparkle began to open her eyes. She felt a little hurt. Yes. That damage spell really hurt her. It was damage spell, what did you want? When she opened her eyes fully, Twilight recognized where she was.
The castle of the two sisters…
“Finally you woke up, daughter”
Twilight Sparkle heard her mother’s voice and raised her head. She was sitting on her hips. Chrysalis was on her back, looking up at the night sky, “How long did I sleep?”
“You slept for a whole afternoon, daughter”, Chrysalis stopped looking at the night sky and headed toward her daughter.
Twilight Sparkle’s mouth dropped open, “I sound like I slept, Mom”
Chrysalis didn’t know how to explain, “I think you passed out”
“But why did I faint?” asked Twilight Sparkle, now confused.
“I think Luna’s damage spell hurt you so much that it affected you”, replied Chrysalis.
Twilight Sparkle seemed safer, “Are the Changelings still in Canterlot?”
“Yes. I warned them that we had to back off so that no lunar guards and no royal guards come after us both”, replied Chrysalis.
Twilight seemed a little sad about that, “but why?”
Chrysalis smiled. She put a hoof on Twilight’s chest, “Daughter, I care about you. And seeing you pass out after being hit by Luna made me worried”
Twilight Sparkle made a face of understanding. She stood up and looked at Chrysalis, “What now, Mom? Are we going back to Canterlot?”
“No, daughter. We gonna sleep here. Tomorrow we go to Canterlot”, said Chrysalis.
Meanwhile in the castle, Shining Armor kept crying in his room. It was practically night and he didn’t even leave. Suddenly he heard a knocking sound. Shining Armor looked at the door, “please. Leave me alone”
“Dear. Please. Let me in”, said Cadence, outside the room.
Shining Armor looked uncertain, “ok. You may come in”
Cadente opened the door with her magic and realized that her future husband’s mane was messed up, “Er… Honey…”
“Yes, honey?” asked Shining Armor, no longer crying. But looking sad.
“Have you looked at your mane?” asked Cadence.
“No. Why?” answered Shining Armor.
Cadence teleported a mirror. Shining Armor was surprised to see his reflection. His mane was really messed up, “How long have I been crying?”
“A whole day”, said Cadence.
Shining Armor gaped, “But ... But ... What about the Changelings?”
“They’re still attacking Canterlot”, said Cadence.
“And… what about Twilight?” asked Shining Armor.
“Chrysalis recoiled with Twilight in her lap”, replied Cadence.
“We have to rescue her!” exclaimed Shining Armor.
“Why?” asked Cadence.
“And you still ask? Twilight Sparkle is my sister”, answered Shining Armor.
“Honey, Twilight doesn’t see you as a brother. She pretended all the time”, Cadence said nothing more than the truth.
Shining Armor seemed shocked by this, but soon recovered, “but Twilight was like a sister to me. I won’t give her up”
“Honey, Twilight won’t hear you. She is loyal to Queen Chrysalis”, said Cadence.
“It’s hard to try, Cadence. I know she still deep down sees me as a brother”, said Shining Armor with hope. Shining Armor realized that Cadence’s mane was all messy, “I don’t think I’m the only one with messy mane”, Shining Armor took the mirror with his magic and showed Cadence how her mane was.
“I’m going to take a shower, then I’ll brush my mane and then have dinner,” said Cadence, smiling nervously at the state of his mane.
Shining Armor raised an eyebrow, “But what about our marriage? Will not happen?”
“Honey, Canterlot is under attack. Once this is resolved, we can continue the marriage”, said Cadence.
Shining Armor smiled. But he remembered something, “But and my Bestmare?”
Cadence was confused, “who is your Bestmare?”
“Twilight Sparkle. I don’t want to get married without Twilight being at the wedding”, replied Shining Armor.
“Honey, I don’t know if Twilight will surrender to us. But I think it will be worth a try”, said Cadence, still uncertain. And she was still trying to accept the fact that the foal she cared for was actually a Changeling.
Meanwhile, the five mares and Spike were in Luna’s room, discussing what to do.
“What are we going to do, princess?” asked Applejack.
“I ... I ...” Luna was nervous. “.. I dont know”
The five mares were surprised, “what?”
“I don’t know,” replied Luna. “Canterlot is dominated by Changelings and soon they’ll dominated all Equestria”
“Why don’t we go to Chrysalis and punch her? She was the one who commanded her subjects to attack Canterlot”, said Rainbow Dash.
“Rainbow, I understand your need to fight. But punching Chrysalis will only make Twilight angry and she’ll probably hate you”, said Luna, now looking at Rainbow Dash. The blue pegasus remembered that. And that made her feel betrayed.
Who spoke now was Fluttershy, “Why don’t we talk to Chrysalis to make a deal? I’m sure Changelings are good creatures”
“She won’t accept, Fluttershy. Changelings are creatures who want to steal love”, said Applejack, now looking at Fluttershy.
“But everypony can be good if they just try”, Fluttershy defended her own argument.
Luna seemed to agree with Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, “I agree with both of you. You both have good arguments. But I don’t know who to agree on”
“How about we vote?” suggested Pinkie Pie.
Luna put her hoof on her chin in thought. It wasn’t a bad idea, “ok. Who wants to go to fight against Chrysalis?”
Rainbow Dash, Applejack lifted the hull, “Who wants to talk to Chrysalis to make a deal?”
Rarity, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy raised their hooves. While Spike raised his paw.
“OK. Let’s talk to Chrysalis. We can ask her for a deal, ”said Luna. “And if it doesn’t work, I’m afraid we’ll have to fight her”, Rainbow Dash hated losing at the poll, she wanted to kick Chrysalis in the face. While Fluttershy was glad she won, she just hoped it would work.
In the bathroom, Cadence sang a love song while showering and Shining Armor whistled a song while brushing his mane. When he was done brushing his mane, Shining Armor looked at the result before leaving the bathroom. Cadence couldn’t help but notice that Shining Armor whistled funny.
Meanwhile, Luna, Spike and the mares were eating. Rainbow Dash was confused, “I thought we were going to go to Chrysalis”
Luna looked at Rainbow Dash, “and we’ll go, Rainbow.”
Rainbow Dash smiled, “... tomorrow” finished Luna. Rainbow Dash made a “what?!” Face
“Why tomorrow? Can’t it be today?”asked Rainbow Dash.
“Rainbow Dash, it’s already night”, replied Luna.
“And then what? We have to save Equestria”, said Rainbow Dash.
“I also want to save Equestria, Rainbow. But we have to come up with a plan so that we aren’t captured by the Changelings”, said Luna.
“Now have you become Twilight? Just want to think rationally?” asked Rainbow Dash without thinking. Luna remembered that Twilight was actually a Changeling and was sad about that. Spike and the other mares looked at Rainbow Dash, not pleased, “what?”
“Did you happen to forget that Twilight is a Changeling? Luna has yet to deal with it. And it’s probably going to be as hard for her as it is for us to accept that Twilight was actually a Changeling”, said Applejack, now going to Luna to comfort her. Rainbow Dash wanted to say sorry, but her ego kept her from doing that. So she decided to keep quiet.
The doors opened, revealing Shining Armor who was whistling. Luna, Spike, and the other mares looked at the stallion. Pinkie Pie was struggling to not whistle along. When Shining Armor stopped whistling, he realized that had ponies watching him. The white stallion was embarrassed.
When the next day came, Cadence, Shining Armor, the Mane 5, and Luna were eating while they were talking about the plan, “so just to remind you, today we’re going to ask Chrysalis for a deal”, recapitulated Luna.
Rainbow Dash didn’t know if this was a good plan, “princess, do you really think it will work? Like, they are creatures that suck love from ponies. There’s no way they can show love to the ponies”
Fluttershy looked at Rainbow Dash, not pleased, “Rainbow. Not all creatures are evil”
Rainbow Dash looked at Fluttershy, “Fluttershy, I understand that you’re the element of Kindness. But could it just stop being sympathetic when Equestria is in danger?”
Fluttershy was shocked by this, “I… I’m sorry… It’s just… It’s just…” Fluttershy ran away.
Applejack attempted to call Fluttershy while standing with a raised hoof, “Fluttershy! Wait! Rainbow didn’t mean it!” but it was no use. Fluttershy was already far away. Applejack looked at Rainbow Dash unhappy.
“What is it?” asked Rainbow Dash, now confused.
“You shouldn’t have made Fluttershy cry”, replied Applejack.
“But she always thinks that being good to evil creatures will help”, Rainbow Dash defended herself.
“She’s the element of Kindness. You should at least be understanding with her”, said Applejack, not content.
“But…”
" ‘But’ nothing, Rainbow. We’ll find Fluttershy and you should apologize”
“But weren’t we going to look for Chrysalis and Twilight?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“We will. But first let’s go looking for Fluttershy”, replied Applejack.
“Can’t we go without her?” asked Rainbow Dash, now grumpy.
“No. We are a team and we will be all together”, replied Applejack.
Fluttershy kept running and crying. She was out of the castle. The Changelings were busy, so they didn’t even notice the yellow Pegasus running.
Chrysalis and Twilight Sparkle were already in Canterlot. To tell the truth, they had arrived since last night. They were after two ponies to suck love. Twilight ran after a yellow mare with Cutie Mark carrots and Chrysalis ran after a foal. The two ponies kept running. They were hoping they wouldn’t get caught by the two female Changelings. But their luck ran out when they reached a blind alley. The two ponies touched their front hooves on the wall before looking startled at the two approaching female Changelings. They began to beg for their lives.
“Please! No!” the foal begged through tears.
“I have a family and I’m very young!” exclaimed the mare.
But her requests for mercy were not answered, because Chrysalis grabbed the pony with her magic and began to suck love and Twilight grabbed the mare with her magic and did the same as her mother. From inside of the two ponies came a pink magic that went to the open mouth of the two female Changelings. When they were done, the two ponies felt weak and fell to the ground.
Meanwhile, Applejack and the others were looking for Fluttershy. Applejack looked around for her friend. But all she saw was Changelings flying behind ponies. Rainbow Dash wanted to punch those Changelings in the ass, but she knew her friends wouldn’t want to fight them now. They went outside the castle to look for Fluttershy. Luna was looking around for the yellow pegasus.
“Luna”
Luna looked back and saw Applejack, looking at her with a look of possible concern, “I wanted to ask you something”
“Yes, Applejack. You can ask us”, replied Luna with a smile. Luna knew this was not the best time, but she wanted to know what was bothering Applejack.
“How did you know the name of Chrysalis, princess? Did you two already know each other or did your sister tell you about her and the Changelings?”
“Our sister told them about their existence after I returned to Canterlot after you and your friends defeated Nightmare Moon, Applejack”, replied Luna.
Applejack knew this wasn’t the best time to say that. But this subject made her curious, “I know now may not be the best time to ask but .. Have you and Chrysalis known each other before?”
Luna was speechless for a moment before recovering and answering the question, “Well, Applejack. Chrysalis and I had known each other in foalhood, but she was never close to me. Who was really close to me in my foalhood was Discord”
“Were you and Discord friends?” asked Applejack, now surprised by this revelation.
Luna nodded, “Yes, Applejack. Unlike Celestia who didn’t appreciate what Discord did, I always appreciated what he did. I won’t deny, when my sister and I had to turn it to stone, I felt sad inside because I had lost my first friend”
Applejack went to Luna, “Princess, I’m so sorry you have to remember that”
Luna smiled, “No problem, Applejack. We never told anypony about it, not even my sister, so thanks for letting me vent”

Suddenly they heard a scream.
“What in tarnation?” asked Applejack, now frightened.
“Come on, Applejack. Let’s see what is happening”, said Luna
A couple of earth ponies ran for their lives. They kept running. Who chased after them was Twilight Sparkle and Chrysalis, who were flying. The couple saw an entrance, they entered and to their misfortune, it was a blind alley. The mare raised her hooves and tried to push the wall in the hope that the wall would move, although what she was doing was very silly. Suddenly they heard the sound of Changelings wings flapping. They both looked back in alarm before cringing in fear and began to beg for their lives.
“Please, don’t!”
“Help!”
When the two female Changelings were very close to the two ponies, a voice exclaimed, “stop everything!!” Twilight and Chrysalis looked back and saw Applejack and Luna. Luna was carrying an attack spell and Applejack had her rope in her mouth, ready to tie the two Changelings. Both ponies looked relieved.
Twilight Sparkle glared at Applejack, “How did you escape the green goo?!”
“Luna”, was all Applejack could think of to say as she pointed at luna.
“I think I underestimated you, princess”, said Chrysalis. She hated to admit it, but Chrysalis was surprised that Luna was powerful enough to free Applejack’s friends and the slime cowmare.
Twilight Sparkle got angrier, “You’re going back to where you were!” that said, she set a spell for Applejack to stun and be taken back to the castle. But, Luna put a shield around her and Applejack.
When the spell was over, Luna took off the shield. She then remembered the plan: The plan was to make a deal with Chrysalis. She needed to try to see if it would work, “Chrysalis”, she began.
“What is it?” asked Chrysalis. Twilight Sparkle was still annoyed that she couldn’t hit Applejack.
“I may not know your species so much, but Celestia told me about your story. You and your subjects didn’t feel integrated and I and the other mares that you stuck to the goo want to help you in some way”, say Luna.
“Where do you want to come with this?” asked Chrysalis, now confused.
“Would you like to make a deal?” replied Luna.
“What do you mean?” asked Chrysalis, now confused.
“An deal that you and the other Changelings are part of us in Equestria. We will find a way for you, Twilight and the other Changelings to feed on love without having to suck the love of ponies”, replied Luna.
Twilight Sparkle raised an eyebrow. Would your mother accept? She really hoped not. If her mother accepted, she didn’t know what to do. The purple female Changeling looked at her mother.
Chrysalis seemed to think about it. Until what Luna said sounded good. But why should she accept? Luna wasn’t a Changeling queen like her. Luna mustn’t decide what is best for the Changelings. She made her decision, “no. I won’t accept it,” replied Chrysalis. Twilight Sparkle smiled at that. “Do you really think you’re a Changeling queen to decide the best for them?”
Luna was speechless. She hoped Chrysalis would accept this offer. But she wouldn’t give up easily, “no, Chrysalis. I don’t think I’m a Changeling queen like you. I’m just offering you so the ponies and changelings make up and live in unity”, tried Luna to convince Chrysalis.
“Do you really think I will accept this offer after all the ponies have done to me and my subjects in the past? Of course I will not accept this. Mostly from a pony”, denied Chrysalis.
“Chrysalis, not all ponies are evil. Try to realize that now Equestria isn’t the same as before”, tried Luna to convince Chrysalis.
“No. The ponies remain the same. Whenever they see a Changeling, they run for their lives”, denied Chrysalis.
“They run from fear because you Changelings run after them”, explained Luna.
“This is the only way we have to feed. Even if we asked it nicely, they wouldn’t accept it”, explained Chrysalis.
“Chrysalis, I’m sure there must be another way”, said Luna with a smile.
“No! No!” exclaimed Chrysalis, now annoyed. “You aren’t a Changeling queen to decide what is best for the Changelings!”
“I know, Chrysalis, but ...” Luna tried to say, but had been grabbed by Chrysalis.
“I am the queen of the Changelings and I decide what is best for them!!”exclaimed Chrysalis, before throwing Luna at the same wall as the couple was. “And before I forget ...”
Chrysalis began to suck the love of the couple. Twilight Sparkle too. When they broke up, the couple felt weak and fell to the floor and the two femeale Changelings left. Luna couldn’t believe it didn’t work, she needed to warn the others about it. She knew Chrysalis was evil, but Luna didn’t know Chrysalis was so evil to deny. They left the blind alley. When they came out, Luna and Applejack saw the other mares and Spike heading toward them. Fluttershy was beside her friends and was no longer crying. Applejack and Luna went to them, “you found Fluttershy! But where the hell was she?”
Who answered was Rainbow Dash, “She was in a well-hidden place. We had to search all over Canterlot to find her. But lucky we could find her by hearing her cry”
“How did you make Fluttershy stop crying and make her join you?” asked Luna.
“We apologize. Although Fluttershy seems a little uncertain at first, she accepted the apology”, replied Rainbow Dash.
“It is true. I understand that Rainbow Dash was just a little annoyed that Chrysalis and Twilight was attacking Canterlot”, replied Fluttershy with a smile.
“Fluttershy, about your idea of making a deal with Chrysalis…” began Applejack.
Fluttershy brightened, “Did you find her? Did she accept the deal?”
“We’re sorry, Fluttershy. But she didn’t accept. We tried to convince Chrysalis, but she denied saying that we weren’t the queen of the Changelings to decide what was best for the Changelings”, replied Luna.
Fluttershy looked sad about it, “Chrysalis can’t be that evil. I’m sure something happened in the past that made her evil”
“She told us that in the past she and the Changelings must have suffered”, replied Luna.
“Do you know what she and the Changelings suffered?” wanted to know Fluttershy.
“She didn’t tell us what she and her subjects suffered. But she said that every time the ponies see a Changeling, they run away”, replied Luna.
“But who knows if I tried to talk to her? I’m sure I could convince her”, said Fluttershy hopefully.
“It’s no use, Fluttershy. As Applejack said earlier, Changelings are creatures who want to suck love. They don’t feel anything”, said Rainbow Dash.
“But can’t we try a second time?” asked Fluttershy.
“No, Fluttershy. She has already made her decision and we must respect it”, replied Applejack.
Fluttershy was sad about that. She still had hopes that Chrysalis would surrender, “... If she won’t listen to us, I’m afraid we’ll have to fight her”, said Rainbow Dash.
“But I’m sure if I talked to her, Chrysalis would hear me. I already talked to the dragon that smoked while sleeping, I’m sure Chrysalis would hear me”, Fluttershy tried to convince Rainbow Dash.
“No, Fluttershy. She will not hear you. Chrysalis is so evil that she refuses to surrender”, denied Rainbow Dash.
“Could you two stop arguing? Canterlot is under attack from Changelings and we have to do something”, said Applejack, interrupting the conversation.
Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash looked at Applejack with a possible guilty look, “now what? What are we going to do, princess?” asked Applejack, now looking at Luna.
“I fear we will have to fight her, Applejack”, replied Luna.
“But are you sure Chrysalis won’t hear me? I am the Element of Kindness”, Fluttershy tried to convince Luna.
“Fluttershy, Chrysalis had already made her decision. Why don’t you take it?” wanted to know Rainbow Dash.
“But…”
“ ‘But’ nothing, Fluttershy. Just accept that Chrysalis is the bad guy in this world”, said Rainbow Dash.
Fluttershy was fighting not to cry, “But ... But ...”
Rainbow seemed sorry about that. Although she doesn’t show regrets, she didn’t wanted that Fluttershy to cry again, “Look, I didn’t mean to make you cry, okay? It’s just that you need to understand that not everything can be resolved with kindness”, explained Rainbow Dash.
Fluttershy nodded, “So we have to fight her then? Are you sure I can’t talk to her?” Fluttershy wanted to be sure.

Rainbow Dash realized that Fluttershy was sad about it, was comforting her, “hey. Don’t be sad. I know it’s hard to accept the truth, but if it comforts you, I can stay at your house to make you feel better”
Fluttershy smiled, “ok, Rainbow”
“And now, guys? Are we going straight to punch Chrysalis?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“Not yet, Rainbow”, replied Luna.
“What? But why not?” wanted to know Rainbow Dash.
“Because we had to prepare before we really attacked Chrysalis and we also need to warn Cadence and Shining Armor”, replied Luna.
“Oh come on!” exclaimed Rainbow Dash, now with both hooves in her eyes.
