> Chapter 1: The Breakup

It was a bright and sunny day at the city of Canterlot. The city was bustling with happy city folks just going about their business as usual like any other city would. It was another typical Monday morning at Canterlot High School, or CHS for short. The students were going about their day talking about what they did over the weekend and how they were already planning for the next weekend because of how much Monday sucked. Every student seemed to be having a good start to the day.......except for you. 

You were not having a good morning right now. It wasn’t that you were antisocial or anything, far from it, it’s just that you were being pestered by someone right now. Someone that you really didn’t want to talk to, and that was Fluttershys younger brother Zephyr Breeze. Lately, he’s been on your butt with trying to get you to help him with getting a date with Rainbow Dash, a close friend of yours and captain of every sports team here at the school. 

Even though she’s shown and even said to him, multiple times in fact, that she was not interested in him he would still try and try again. It was honestly kind of sad to you to see him go through these lengths to get a date with her, but as one of his friends you tried to keep it to yourself. That didn’t mean that you wouldn’t be honest with him though. As it was said before, you were walking through school with Zephyr as he was begging for you to help him.

“I’ve told you many times already Zephyr, I’m not going to help you!” You said. This wouldn’t get through to him though. 

“Oh, come on Anon! You’re friends with her right?! Just find out what she likes and just give me some advice so I can make my move already!” Zephyr begged to which you groaned at. You stopped walking and looked at him with an annoyed look.

“Zephyr, she’s NOT interested! When are you going to understand that?!”

“She IS interested in me! Either she just doesn’t know it yet or she’s just playing hard to get!” You face palmed at his idiotic thought. 

“Okay Zephyr, I’m going to say this in a way that maybe you’ll understand, so listen closely. SHE’S. NOT. INTERESTED. IN. YOU!!!!” 

“You’ll see Anon! She will fall for me one day! I just know it! I can already picture it now. She’ll run up to me and jump into my arms begging to be with me. And I’ll scoop her up, carry her to a mighty stallion, and we’ll ride off into the sunset as we slowly lean in and ki-“ You cut him off before he finished with his creepy daydream.

“Alright, alright, alright, I’ve heard enough! I need to get to class Zephyr, I’ll leave you alone to your weird/creepy fantasies!” You said before walking away from him. He calls out to you as got further away from him.

“I’ll make you eat those words Anon! Rainbow Dash will be mine! You’ll see!” You shook your head to that ridiculous thought while making your way to your first class. As you walked, you slowly started gaining a smile as you made steady progress towards class. 

Why were you smiling you may ask? Because this was the class that you had with one of the best if not the best friend that you’ve ever made at this school. Her name was Pinkamiena Diane Pie, otherwise known as Pinkie Pie. Pinkie was a party planner girl who always strived to make her friends, which included you, smile no matter what. That was just one of the many things that you really liked about Pinkie Pie. 

The two of you had met during your freshman year and you instantly hit it off with each other rather well. It also should be mentioned that you had developed a bit of a crush on her. Why wouldn’t you? She was pretty much perfect in every way to you. She was funny, bubbly, joyful, and so full of life. It also didn’t hurt that she was incredibly beautiful. Her cute face, perfect teeth, her bouncy hot pink poofy hair that fit her personality, it was all just captivating........which was probably why she had gotten a boyfriend about a few months ago. His name was Golden Shine. He seemed like a nice guy when he and Pinkie were dating each other. It did break your heart at first when you found out, but you came to the conclusion that as long as she was happy, you were happy; even though deep down it hurt. 

You walked for a few minutes before making it to your first period classroom. There was still a few minutes left before class started so you figured that you would chat and hang out with Pinkie until then. You were just about to enter the class until you heard a loud yell, Pinkies loud yell. 

“WHAT??!!?!” She screamed. You heard another voice which sounded like her boyfriend.

“I’m sorry Pinkie, but I think we should see other people.” Golden Shine said solemnly. You then heard what sounded like sobbing before the door burst open and you saw Pinkie with tears in her eyes and down her cheeks as she ran down the hallway while crying. You stood there baffled by what just transpired. Golden Shine just broke up with Pinkie? Why? That didn’t make sense at all. They seemed really happy with each other. 

You looked inside and saw Golden Shine standing in the middle of the room looking down with his back turned to you as if he didn’t want to see the pain that he just put Pinkie through. You then contemplated whether you should scold him for dumping Pinkie or to go after her to see if you could comfort her in any way. You decided to be a good friend and ran after her. You ran through the school asking the different kids about where Pinkie went and they all pointed to the front doors of the school. You burst out the doors and ran towards the one place you thought she would go to; her house. It was only a few blocks from here so it would be a logical place to look. You didn’t care that you would be late by doing this, you HAD to be there for Pinkie. You ran towards her house while hoping that she was okay. You weren’t going to allow your best friend to be this sad today or any other day. That was a promise that you made to not just yourself, but to her as well.
> Chapter 2: Comforting A Friend

You ran as fast as your feet could carry you towards Pinkies house. Occasionally having to dash past pedestrians and avoid tripping over things. You finally made it to Pinkies house which was a quaint little home with a purple roof. You walked up to the front door and knocked on it which only resulted in the door swiveling open as if someone didn't bother to properly close it, most likely Pinkie in her saddened state. You looked inside and didn't see anybody inside at first. You assumed that Pinkies siblings were all at school and her parents were at work right now. You walked inside since you weren't really afraid of barging in unannounced since you've been to Pinkies house many times over the years and her family members were used to you coming over. You walked through the house until you heard the sound of quiet sobbing. You pinpointed where it was coming from and it lead you to Pinkies room with the door shut. You walked up and gently knocked on the door while silently calling out to her.

"Pinkie? Are you alright in there?" You asked. You already knew that she clearly wasn't alright since you saw the whole thing unravel before you at school, but you still asked anyway to show your concern for her. The sobbing stopped on the other side for a moment before you heard her speak softly.

"Go away, Anon. I wanna be left alone." She said in a saddened tone. Being the stubborn friend that you are, you still remained there determined to comfort your friend.

"Pinkie, you know I can't just abandon my best friend like this. So please, let me in?" You asked. There was a moment of silence before she spoke again.

"Please, just go Nonny. I don't want to burden you with my problems." 

"Pinkie, years ago I made a Pinkie Promise to you that if there was ever a moment where you were sad or lonely or that you needed help that I would be there for you to make you feel better. Remember?" You asked hoping to jog her memory. You remembered the day that you made that promise to her. It was a few years ago when she was baking a huge wedding cake when she accidently put lemon filling into the cake instead of cherry and the groom was allergic to lemon. So she was really saddened and started panicking because she had a deadline to make. Luckily for her, you were there to help her with making another cake by scratch and you successfully were able to get the new cake there on time. Afterwards, the two of you decided to give the old cake to charity. After that, you made that very promise to her which resulted in her giving you a huge hug. There was another moment of silence before Pinkie spoke again.

"It's open." You hastily open the door to see her on her bed but she was definitely not herself. Her usual lively poofy hair was now dull and straight; almost as if someone had sucked the life out of it. Her eyes were bloodshot and puffy and she had tears going down her cheeks. Somehow in a short span of time she had already accumulated a large number of used tissues on her bed next to her. She definitely didn't look like the Pinkie Pie that you've come to know and secretly love. The Pinkie Pie that you knew was upbeat, happy, and so much fun to be around, but this Pinkie Pie was something else entirely. This was just...…..depressing. You slowly walked up to her while speaking softly.

"Pinkie, I saw what happened. I'm so sorry." You sat down next to her while she was blowing her nose. Once she was finished, she looked at you from the corner of her eyes before she suddenly threw her arms around your neck and pulled you into a hug while sobbing on your shoulder. You rubbed her back gently as she continued to cry. You almost felt like crying yourself for seeing her like this, but you had to remain strong for your friend. She eventually calmed down as best as she could before separating the hug and looking at you. You looked back at her before speaking.

"What happened before he.....well you know?" You asked hoping to get the full story to get better context on what happened. She looks down for a bit before looking back up at you.

"Well, I arrived at the school early like I normally do and I was waiting for him to come. When he eventually did, he had a serious look on his face. I asked him what's up and he said that we needed to talk. So I was like "Sure what do you wanna talk about sweetie?" and he looked at me and said...………..and said...……." She struggled on the last part and she started tearing up again. You put your hand on hers before she looked at you and calmed down by taking a deep breath. "He said...…..that he didn't wanna be with me anymore!" She yelled the last bit before sobbing into her hands. You pulled her into another comforting hug with her staining your shoulder with her tears. You didn't care about that, your crush needed a shoulder to cry on right now and you were happy to provide it. She stopped crying before separating the hug before you grabbed another tissue for her and she thanks you for it. She blows her nose again before speaking again. 

"Why would he do this to me? Was I not good enough for him? Did I do something to make him do this?" She asked. You shook your head. 

"Don't say that Pinkie! Anyone would be lucky to have you in their life! He clearly couldn't see that!" You said trying to cheer her up. 

"But why would he do this? I was always trying to be the best girlfriend that I could be to him. It must have been something I did, because why else would he just...….just...….break up with me?" She said before hugging her legs and putting her head down. You got off the bed and you stood in front of her and you placed your hands on her shoulders which prompted her to look up at you. 

"Pinkie, I refuse to believe that it was something that you did to make him do something this terrible to you. It must have been something on his end because you are way too sweet and caring to do something that would warrant such an act from him. He must be an idiot if that's the case because a smart person would never make a girl as amazing as you cry for any reason." You said truthfully. She smiled for at bit at your kind words.

"Thank you Nonny. You're such a sweet boy you know that? Why can't all boys be like you?" You blushed a bit at her comment.

"Well that's just who I am Pinkie Pie. I care a lot about my friends which also includes you. You mean a lot to me and I honestly can't stand to see you upset." She seemed to have blushed a bit at what you said but it could have been from the bad lighting in her room. She sits there for a moment before looking back at you.

"Anon, I really do appreciate you going out of your way to try and make me feel better. But right now, I just wanna be alone. Thank you for checking up on me." She said solemnly to which you were stunned by.

"But....but what about my promise that I made to you? I promised that I would always comfort you no matter what." You said but it only resulted in her looking away from you and closing her eyes.

"Can you make me a new promise then? Can you please leave me be until I'm ready to talk to you again? Can you Pinkie Promise me that?" She asked. You went wide eyed for a moment. Pinkie wanted you to NOT uphold the promise YOU MADE to her?! Pinkie was always very adamant about making sure that her promises, whether they were made by her or towards her, would always be fulfilled. She must have been really hurt by the breakup to go against something that she herself created. You sat there for a few more seconds before sighing and looking back to her.

"Okay Pinkie. If this is what you really want, then I'll leave you alone."

"It is. I'll see you later Nonny." She gave you one last hug before slumping back onto her bed as you stood up and slowly walked back towards the door. You looked back at her with a saddened look before stepping out and closing the door. You walked out of the house and back towards CHS. You eventually made it back to the school and to your first period class. You lied to your teacher by saying that your alarm clock didn't go off that morning and he let you off with a warning since you were on time for the most part. You went through the rest of the day as best as you could, but you couldn't help but think about Pinkie Pie and how you desperately wanted to be there for her. 

You came up with a plan that when Pinkie comes back to school, you and the rest of her friends will come up with something to try and make her happy again. You needed to see Pinkie smile again; even if it's only for a brief moment. She's already done so much for you that you couldn't let something like this go. You also made a plan that you would confront Golden Shine at some point and demand him to tell you why he broke up with Pinkie in the first place. All of this was going through your mind as the rest of your day continued.
> Chapter 3: Cheer Up The Party Girl Part 1

One Week Later 

You were almost in a panic right now. Because Pinkie Pie has been out of school for a week now which was really worrying you. You so badly wanted to go over and check on her, but you had to keep the new promise that you made to her by not seeing or speaking to her until she was ready to. The rest of your friends were worried for her as well. They had tried multiple times to go and see Pinkie, but they were all met with the same response that she gave you. 

So, being the understanding friends that you were, you gave her as much time as needed.  In the meantime, you and the rest of the Rainbooms were trying to think of something, anything, to make Pinkie happy again once she comes back. Meanwhile, you were trying your best to keep yourself from hyperventilating from being so worried about Pinkie. You and the Rainbooms we’re sitting on the front steps of the school whilst thinking of a plan.

“Anon, you need to calm down and stay level headed about all of this.” Twilight instructed you. You looked over to the girls while displaying a worried look.

“I can’t help it guys! I can’t help but think about Pinkie and how much I want to be there to comfort her!” You said before slumping down and placing your chin on your hands. 

“We’re all worried about her darling, but she said that she needs some time to herself. She’ll come around eventually.” Rarity said hoping to calm you down with her words. This only worked slightly as you stood up and started pacing in front of them. 

“But what if she does something drastic like accidentally hurting herself?! Or what if she decides to never come to school again?! Or what if-“ Rainbow Dash cuts you off by grabbing you by the collar and slapping you hard across the face to get you to calm down.

“ANON! GET A GRIP! Panicking about it is not gonna fix anything! So just calm down and get ahold of yourself! Alright?!” She screamed in your face. You do what she said and took a bunch of deep breaths. You eventually were able to calm yourself and looked back at her. 

“Thanks Rainbow. I needed that.” She hugs you and you hugged her back. 

“I’m sorry for slapping you, but I needed to do that.” You nodded to confirm that you understood her reasoning.

“And I’m sorry for panicking. It’s just that I care about her so much. She’s done a lot for me and I wanna repay her by being a good friend and always being there for her.” You two held the hug for a few more seconds before separating and looking at each other. 

“I get it Anon. We all get it, but it’s like Twilight said, we need to keep a level head through all of this. Panicking won’t solve anything.” The others nodded in agreement before the two of you walked back over and sat down. 

“I still think we should come up with something to do for her when she comes back. She needs to be reminded that she’ll always have friends to help put her back together when she shatters.” You said to which the girls agreed to. 

“But what can we do?” Fluttershy asked. 

“Well it can’t be somethin as simple as a get well soon card. It’s gotta be somethin big, but what?” Applejack queried. You perked up upon thinking of something.

“Maybe it doesn’t have to be just one thing you guys. Maybe we can do a bunch of things for Pinkie. Kind of like how a movie’s done. We’ll start off small and then each thing we do will increase in quality and we’ll work our way towards the climax and then make it to conclusion. How about that?” You proposed rather enthusiastically. 

“That does sound like a plan alright. But what exactly are we going to do though?” Sunset asked. 

“That’s a good question Sunset. The answer’s simple, we’ll do all of the things that Pinkie usually likes to do for everybody. Make her laugh, watch her favorite movie stormy with a side of pudding with her, bake her a cake, and lastly throw her a party! If all of that doesn’t cheer her up then I don’t know what will! So who’s with me?!” You asked trying to get them as excited as you were. Each of them started smiling before Rainbow Dash stood up and held up her fist with determination.

“I’m in!” She said happily. One by one the others stood up voicing their agreement. 

“Great! Then it’s settled, we’ll do all that we can to make Pinkie Pie happy again!” Everyone cheered to this plan as you already started thinking about how happy Pinkie will be after it’s all said and done. You immediately started planning about what to do first.






A Few Days Later 

You and the girls were getting everything set up for when you met up with Pinkie for the past few days. You honestly couldn’t wait to get the old Pinkie Pie back......the one you fell in love with. You waited outside as you did the past dozen times when you were hoping for her to come back. You saw someone walking by themselves towards CHS. Your heart started racing at the thought of them being Pinkie, but you were instead met with her older sister Maud Pie. You walked up to her and she took notice of you.

“Oh, hello Anon.” She greeted you in her usual monotonous voice. 

“Hey Maud. How’s Pinkie Pie?” You asked. She looks down for a moment before looking back at you.

“She’s not doing well. She been crying nonstop for the past week and a half. We’ve been trying all we could to make her feel better but nothings worked.” You sighed in disappointment upon hearing this.

“I guess this means that she’s not coming today is she?” You said feeling saddened by the news. What she says next surprises you.

"Actually no, she said she wanted to try and come today if she's able to." Your eyes widened as your heart was now filled with a new found hope. "But I wouldn't get my hopes up too high if I were you. Goodbye for now Anon." She says before walking into the school. A part of you thought that she might be right about that final thing she said, but a even bigger part of you was hoping that Pinkie would show up today. 

You stared back at the front of the school hoping to catch a glimpse of hot pink anywhere. You looked around for a few moments before you saw a lone figure in the distance slowly making their way to CHS. You stared at them for a bit trying to make out their features. Pink skin, blue over shirt, purple bow at the hip, sky blue boots, it was her! It was Pinkie Pie! You're heart exploded with happiness upon just being able to see her again as she slowly made her way to the school. Her hair was still straight and lifeless and she still had bloodshot eyes, but she didn't appear to be crying anymore so that's a start. She looks up and sees you there at the front doors and she stops and stares at you. She looks at you for a few moments before she slowly walks up to you. She spoke in a low voice almost like Fluttershy.

"H-hi, Anon." She greeted you. 

"Hi Pinkie." You greeted back calmly even though on the inside you were screaming with joy. 

"H-how are you?" She asked politely.

"I'm alright. Umm, do you want me to leave you alone?" You asked while still wondering if the promise was still in effect. She shook her head slightly. 

"No, no, I wanna hang out with you again. I wanna hang out with the others again too. I can't just stay in my room and cry all the time now can I?" She reassured. A smile slowly made its way on your face.

"Okay. Let's go then." You said while holding your arm out. She wraps hers around it and she follows you into the school. As the two of you walked, you kept a close eye out in case you ran into her ex-boyfriend. You definitely didn't want to see that guy right now, especially after what he did to Pinkie. The two of you slowly made your way to your first period class. After your first set of classes were finished, you two made your way to the cafeteria as you began the start of phase one of the plan: reunite Pinkie with her friends.
> Chapter 4: Cheer Up The Party Girl Part 2

You and Pinkie walked towards the cafeteria before you made the both of you stop and she looked at you in confusion. You looked back at her. 

"I'm sorry to ask this Pinkie, but can you wait out here for a few seconds?" You asked. She nodded in response.

"Okay, but don't take too long alright?" She asked with a bit of worry that you'll probably leave her there. You nodded before you walked inside and saw the Rainbooms there. You walked up to them and they noticed you.

"Hey Anon. Is Pinkie here today?" Rainbow asked. 

"She is." You said simply. They all instantly gained big smiles on their faces. 

"Well what are you waiting for darling? Bring her in!" Rarity demanded. You put your hands up to calm them down and they did so. 

"Look girls, I know that you are all very eager to see Pinkie again, but we can't overwhelm her in anyway. So I'm sorry to say that group hugs for now are off the table." They all looked disappointed before you continued. "If we are to help her with healing from this, we need to take it slow with her. She's very sensitive right now, so when I bring her in you can all greet and hug her, but do it one by one. Okay?" They looked at each other for a moment before nodding and putting on understanding looks. You smiled and walked back outside to see Pinkie still standing there like you ordered. She sees you and smiles for a bit before frowning.

"Are you ready to go see them Pinkie?" You asked. She thinks for a moment before answering.

"I am. Let's go." You smile and take her by the arm again and slowly brought her into the cafeteria. Your friends were all looking at her with gentle smiles as the patiently waited for her to approach them. You motioned silently towards Pinkie signaling the rest of the girls to come up to her one by one: First came Rainbow, then Fluttershy, then Sunset, then Rarity, then Twilight, and finally Applejack. They each gently hugged Pinkie while greeting her and saying that they were sorry for what she went through. She responded to them by saying that it wasn't their fault and by saying that it was nice to see them again and that she appreciated their concern for her. They stepped away and took a look at her. Some of them wanted to cry just by simply looking at the condition that she was in. Mostly it was Fluttershy who wanted to, but she did her best to hold it in. Rarity was the first to speak up.

"Darling......you look...….just...….awful. That ruffian Golden Shine doesn't deserve you. You can do so much better than him." Rarity said hoping to cheer Pinkie up. She only nodded in response. 

"Yeah Pinkie. You don't need that jerk in your life anymore. He clearly couldn't see how amazing you are." Rainbow said. Pinkie nodded again.

"Look sugarcube, we can't stand to see ya like this. We just want ya to know that we're here for ya and that no matter what we will always support ya." Applejack said. Pinkie nodded once more. 

"Pinkie, we were so worried about you. We just want to let you know that we care about you, so much so in fact." Fluttershy said. Pinkie nodded for the fourth time.

"And if you ever need us, we will always answer your call for help. Because that's what true friends do." Twilight said. 

"Because you've always made us laugh and smile. Now, it's about time that we return the favor." Sunset finished. Pinkie looks at each of the girls and gets a bit of a smile on her cute face. She finally spoke.

"Thanks you guys. You're the best friends anyone could ask for." She then walked up to them and pulled them all into a group hug which surprised them at first before they happily embraced their saddened friend. You stood there for a few seconds before deciding that they probably needed a moment. You were just about to walk out before you were stopped by Pinkie calling out to you. 

"Anon?" You looked back at her to see her looking back at you with a bit of a smile. She motioned for you to join them to which you smiled at and walked over to them and joined the group hug. You all stood there feeling the embrace of each other as your body heat not only warmed your bodies but also your hearts as well. After a moment or two, the hug was separated. 

"So, are you feeling any better Pinkie?" You asked while hoping that this helped her in some way. 

"A little bit, but I'm still rather upset." She said while looking down at the ground. You walked over to her and took her by the chin and made her look at you. 

"It's alright Pinkie. Some wounds take time to heal. But we'll be there for you, I'll be there for you." You said honestly. She smiled a bit at you. You saw what looked to be a flicker of color in her hair and maybe one or two strands of hair that were standing up, but for the most part it stayed straight. You suspected that what you were doing was working in some way, but only slightly. She still was going through a great deal of depression, but you promised yourself, her, and the others that you would bring the old Pinkie back. Even if the process were to take several months, you didn't care. You needed Pinkie to be happy again, and if that's what it took then you would gladly go through it.







After school had ended, you waited outside for Pinkie to show up. You see her slowly make her way through the crowd while some people stared at her with concerned faces. You walked towards her and held your arm out to her to which she accepted. You walked with her for a few minutes before you finally reached her house. She let go of your arm and looked at you. 

"Thank you Nonny, for escorting me home." She said while slightly smiling at you. You smiled back and nodded. 

"It was my pleasure Pinkie. If you need something don't be afraid to call or text me, okay?" She nodded. You slowly backed away from her. "Well, I guess I'll be seeing you Pinkie." You're about to turn and walk away before she called out to you.

"Wait, Anon? Before you go, is it okay if I give you something?" You stopped and looked back at her. 

"Sure, what is it?" You asked. She walked up to you and gave you a light peck on the cheek. You blushed from the suddenness of it as she backed away from you while she also blushed a bit.

"That's for always being so sweet." She said before she walked up to her door, looked back at you for a few seconds, and then walked inside and closed the door. You stood there for a few seconds before you started making your way back home. Unbeknownst to you, Pinkie looked through her front window at you. She puts her hand on her heart and felt that it was slightly beating faster than normal.

The Next Day

You were taking your usual route towards Canterlot High. As you were walking, you couldn’t help but reminisce about yesterday. It seemed as though you were starting to bring the old Pinkie Pie back, but you and the others still had a long way to go when it came to helping her heal from the breakup. You were still determined to do this though.  As you continued on your way to school, you looked forward and noticed Pinkie walking by herself. You smiled and jogged up to her slowly, but surely as to not startle her. She heard your footsteps and she turned around and she saw you and she smiled a bit. 

“Hi Nonny.” She greeted you in the same tone of voice as yesterday. You made your way up to her and hugged her gently to which she reciprocated. 

“Hey Pinkie. How are you feeling?” You asked feeling concerned for her. She sighs while you still maintained the hug. 

“A little bit better now that you’re here.” She said giggling a little bit. You smiled greatly to yourself at the fact that she’s giggling again. Progress is being made here, you just had to keep it up. The hug was separated as you both stared at each other. 

“So, do you wanna walk with me?” You asked. She smiled at your request. 

“I’d like that.” With that said, you both started to make your way towards CHS. While you walked, you noticed that she would take occasional glances towards you and opened her mouth a few times as if she wanted to ask you something. You stopped and turned to her. 

“What’s up?” You asked. 

“I-it’s nothing.” She retorted. 

“Pinkie, if you wanna ask me something don’t be afraid to ask. So, what is it?” She looked at you for a moment before she spoke. 

“C-can I......maybe.....hold your hand?” You were surprised by her request. Pinkie Pie, your best friend and secret crush, wanted to hold hands with you. How could you say no to that? You smiled and nodded. She smiled and slowly raised her hand out to you. You gently took her hand into yours. Her hand was so soft, smooth, and warm that you couldn’t help but feel your heart beat faster. 

You intertwined your fingers together before you both continued your journey. You could feel her gently squeeze your hand and you squeezed back gently. You noticed that her hair had flickered in color once more and that a few more hairs were standing up. You smiled knowing that you had made more progress with her. While walking, she decided to ask you another question.

“Nonny? What if Golden Shine sees us doing this? What would he have to say about it?” She asked while feeling a little bit worried. You blew a raspberry at the thought.

“Who cares what he thinks Pinkie? He can get upset all he wants but he can’t stop us from doing what we want, more importantly he can’t stop you from doing what you want.” You turned to her and cupped her cheek in your hand. “Remember Pinkie, he went out of his way to dump you. Right now, he should be of no concern to you. Your happiness is all that I care about.” She stared at you for a moment before smiling at you and placing her hand on yours that was on her cheek. 

“Thanks Nonny. Thanks for being so sweet and caring.” She said sweetly. You then stared into each other’s eyes for a moment or two before you resumed walking to school. 







After school was finished for the day, you met up with Pinkie and walked with her towards her home. Unbeknownst to her, you were about to initiate phase two of the plan: Watch her favorite movies with her friends. You made it to her house and stopped just outside of it. 

“Hey Pinkie? Do you mind if I hang out with you today?” You asked. She looked at you and smiled.

“Okay, I can use some company right now.” She said before motioning you to follow her inside. You gladly did so as she made her way to the door and opened it. She gasped in surprise once she looked inside. There sitting on her couch was the rest of the Rainbooms. They were all chatting with each other before they noticed Pinkie and smiled at her.

“Girls?! What are you all doing here?” She asked while flabbergasted. 

“We came over to hang out with you of course.” Twilight said enthusiastically. The others nodded.

“Yeah, we thought we would spend the rest of the afternoon watching your favorite movies with you.” Sunset added. Pinkie smiled at the caring display in front of her. 

“T-thank you girls. Thank you all so much.” She said.

“Well, don’t thank us sugarcube, this was all Anons idea to get this whole shindig together.” Applejack said while gesturing towards you. Pinkie turned around to look at you with a surprised expression. 

“Anon? You came up with this?” You smiled at her question and nodded. She race walked up to you and pulled you into a firm hug which you gladly hugged back. 

“Thanks Nonny. Thank you so much for all of this.” 

“You’re very welcome Pinkie.” The two you embraced each other for a moment before you finally pulled back. Another flash of color and a few more hairs stood up as a result. You smiled at that before you both made it over to the couch and sat with your friends.

“So Pinkie, which movie do you wanna watch first?” Rainbow asked. 

“The choice is all yours darling.” Rarity added. Pinkie thought about it before making a decision.

“Stormy with a side of pudding?” She asked.

“An excellent choice Pinkie.” Fluttershy commented. 

“Here, I’ll put it in.” Applejack volunteered before getting the disk and putting in the DVD player. She sat back down as you all began to watch the film. It was always nice to have movie nights with your friends like this, but with the knowledge that you were also doing this to help out a friend was even better. 

Throughout the movie, you noticed that Pinkie was ever so slightly scooching closer to you every few minutes or so. This continued until she eventually was shoulder to shoulder with you and she placed her head on your shoulder. You looked down at her and smiled before placing your own head on hers. You put your hand on top of hers as she gently squeezed it. The girls also took notice and smiled at your cute display. 







Movie night was officially over as the girls were saying their goodbyes to Pinkie as they each gave her a supportive hug. When everyone else left it was just you and Pinkie now. You both sat on the couch staring at one another before you finally stood up and stretched.

“Well Pinkie, I had a lot of fun tonight. I’ll see you later.” You we’re about to go before she stopped you.

“Wait. Maybe you can.....sleep over.....if you want to that is.” She proposed with a bit of a blush. You also blushed at the idea.

“Well... sure. I can stay here. Just give me a moment so can call my parents to let them know.” She nodded before you called your parents to let them know. They said okay before you hung up and started getting ready for bed. You stayed in the guest room that they had as you were lying down about to go to sleep before the door opens and you see Pinkie in her pajamas. You sat up as she walked closer to the bed. 

“Do you need something Pinkie?” You asked. She stood there while playing with the hem of her pjs before looking at you. 

“C-can I.......sleep with you tonight?” She asked while darting her eyes all over the place while avoiding eye contact. Your face became red as a tomato before answering her.

“S-sure thing.” You said while patting on one side of the bed. She walks over and slowly got into bed with you. You moved over to make room for her as she got comfy. “Are you cozy?” She nodded. 

“Can I-I also......cuddle......with you?” She asked cutely. Your face became even more red as you nodded before lying on your back. She cuddles into your chest and wrapped her arms around you. 

“Goodnight Pinkie.” 

“Goodnight Nonny.” She said before dozing off. You looked down at her while she was snoozing for a few minutes before you started to gently pet her hair. Your heart couldn’t help but melt at the cute sight. She really was amazing to you in every way possible. You stared down at her before smiling and drifting off into sleep while holding the cute party girl in your arms.

The sunlight cascaded through the window as the dawn of a Saturday morning beamed down upon you. You slowly began to stir awake as you got ahold of your bearings. You saw that you were still in Pinkies guest bedroom. You then remembered the events of last night. How you had given Pinkie Pie a good night by watching her favorite movies with her and the others. 

You looked down to see the party girl snuggled up next to you with her head resting on your chest as she breathed lightly. You blushed for a bit before lightly shaking it away and you smiled down at her and gently petted her head. This started to make her stir in her sleep as she slowly opened her eyes and looked up at you. She smiled when her eyes landed on your face.

"Good morning Nonny." She said in a tired voice. She sat up and stretched as you did the same.

"Good morning Pinkie. How'd you sleep?" You asked. 

"Better than I've been since the past week and a half." She said while smiling at you. "Thank you for letting me sleep with you last night." 

"It was my pleasure Pinkie. Now, what do you say that I fix us up some breakfast?" You proposed. Her stomach growls upon hearing that. 

"Eh heh heh, I think that should answer your question." She chuckles before getting out of bed and going to her room to change. You got up and walked out the door and to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. After some time has passed, breakfast was ready to eat: Pancakes with cut up strawberries and whipped cream with a side of bacon and sausage. It was all set up by the time Pinkie came out of her room in her usual outfit and sat down.

"This looks really good Nonny." She commented. 

"Well hopefully it tastes as good as it looks." You joked as you sat down with your own plate. She takes a bite out of her food and she goes wide eyed for a moment before finishing her bite and speaking.

"This is really tasty Nonny" She says before taking another bite.

"Well I'm really glad that you like it Pinkie.” You said before taking a bite out of your own food. 

“Thanks for making it.” She said politely.

“You’re welcome.” You responded. The two of you ate your food in relative silence and comfort before Pinkie spoke up.

“So Nonny, are there any activities that we’re doing today?” She asked in her Fluttershy-like voice. 

“Well there is one thing, but you’ll have to wait and see.” You said before giving her a wink. She now had a curious look as she wanted to know what it was. 

“Can you give me a hint?” She asked curiously. You shook your head to answer her question. She playfully groans at that before she resumed eating. When you finished eating, you put your utensils down and looked at her.

“I’ve gotta use the bathroom real quick. I’ll be back in a minute.” You said as you stood up.

“Alright.” She responded. You walked over to the bathroom and looked outside to see if Pinkie was listening before closing the door and grabbing your phone out of your pocket. You texted the girls to get ready for phase three: Bake a cake and throw her a party. They responded by saying that they’ll be ready as soon as possible. 

You stepped out of the bathroom and saw that Pinkie had just got done with eating her breakfast. You walked over and grabbed both of your plates and started cleaning them.

“Why don’t you go ahead and get ready to go  while I handle this?” You proposed. She nodded before going to the bathroom to freshen up. As you finished with the dishes, Pinkie emerged from the bathroom while you walked towards the door and opened it for her. She thanked you before heading out of the house with you following her. 

After walking for some time, you and Pinkie made it to the mall. She looked at you with curiosity. 

“The mall? What are we doing here?” She asked.

“Well I just figured that maybe you’d like to browse around here. Is that okay?” She thought for a few seconds before she nodded and you both proceeded inside.







Hours had passed before you and Pinkie were done browsing. You were currently on your way to your house since you had told Pinkie that you wanted to show her something. Plus, the girls texted you that they were now ready with everything which included both the cake and the festivities. With everything in place, the two of you had made your way to your house. You walked up to the front door and got out your key and unlocked it.

You opened it and allowed Pinkie to step inside first. There was a few seconds of silence before.....

”SURPRISE!!!”

Everyone screamed which startled Pinkie greatly at first before she had processed what happened. The entire living room was covered from head to toe in the usual stuff you would find at a party. You name it: Streamers, balloons, party cloths that covered every table, snacks, beverages, and the star of it all; a huge cake for everyone to share. All of the girls and even some of the other students from CHS were here as well which included Flash Sentry, Bulk Biceps, Sandalwood, Micro Chips, Sunsets boyfriend, even Zephyr Breeze was here much to the dismay of Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. 

Pinkie stood there in complete shock for a few moments before she spoke. 

“W-wha-what’s all of this for?” She asked in a surprised tone of voice. 

“Why for you sugarcube! We wanted to throw ya a surprise party to cheer ya up even more.” Applejack answered to which everyone else agreed to. Pinkie smiled at the sweet surprise which resulted in you looking at her with bated breath to see if she would be snapped back to normal from this..............but she didn’t.

“Thank you guys. Thank you all so much.” She said in her whisper voice that she’s been doing lately. Your eyes widened. You couldn’t honestly believe what was happening. Why wasn’t she reverting to her bubbly self again? Was all of this not enough? Was she somehow still hurting in someway? You were absolutely certain that this would have been the thing to bring the old Pinkie back, but nothing happened. You put on a forced smile before she was able to turn around and give you a hug. 

“Thank you too Nonny. This was really thoughtful.” She said before joining the party with everyone who were just as shocked as you were on the inside, but they didn’t show it. Instead, they started the party anyways. You stood there in the doorway just utterly stupefied by what just happened before Rainbow came up and whispered to you. 

“I don’t get it. Wasn’t she supposed to go back to her old self again?” She asked. 

“She was. I don’t understand. I guess she must still be upset in some way. Normally, something like this would have instantly cheered her up, but right now....I don’t know.” You whispered back. Rainbow grew a worried look before you and her joined the party with the best smiles you could muster. 





One Hour Later

The party was still going as the party goers were chatting amongst themselves about school or other things. Some which included you, your friends, and some other students couldn’t help but be worried about Pinkie Pie. This was supposed to help her be her normal happy self once more but for some reason it didn’t work. You stared at Pinkie as she was talking to some of the other students before Sunset got your attention by snapping her fingers in front of your face. 

“Hey, are you okay?” She asked. You shook your head. 

“No, I’m not okay Sunset. I think Pinkies still going through her depression. This whole plan to do all of these things for her should have done the trick.” You said worriedly. She nodded before looking at Pinkie. 

“I’m just as stumped as you are right now. This should have been it, but I guess not. Some wounds take time to heal. Just like how my boyfriend had to go through so much healing in order to be able to live again for his friends. Maybe it’s the same way with Pinkie.” She surmised. You understood her logic somewhat, but you mostly couldn’t help but disagree with her. You’ve known Pinkie since freshman year, something like this would have definitely been enough even when she was really, really sad at times. Something else was going on through her mind, you were sure of it, and you needed to know what it was. With your decision made, you walked over to Pinkie and tapped her on the shoulder. She turned around and smiled at you.

“Hi Nonny.” She greeted. 

“Pinkie is it okay if we talk for a bit?” You asked in a somewhat serious voice. She nodded before you lead her outside and onto the front porch. You both sat down on the steps before you looked at her.

“Pinkie, are you....having fun tonight?” You asked. She looked confused by your question.

“Well of course I am. Why wouldn’t I be?” She also asked. 

“Well it’s....just that....I honestly thought that all we’ve done for you lately would have been the thing that would’ve made you your old happy self again, just like all those other times before. Are you still upset in some way? Was the party not enough?” You asked in a somewhat desperate voice. She was confused by this at first before she realized what you were talking about and she tried to reassure you.

“No, no! Nonny it’s not that. I really do appreciate everything you and the girls have done for me these past few days. Hanging out with me at lunch time and giving me all of those hugs and kind words, watching my favorite movies with me, and even throwing me this amazing party has all been great. I really can’t thank you enough for all of this.....it’s just that...” She trailed off as if lost in thought. You looked at her with a desperate and curious look.

“It’s just what?” You asked. She keeps looking away and at you for a few moments before taking a deep breath and looked at you. 

“I guess....a part of me still wants to know why. Why did Golden Shine break up with me in the first place? Was it something I did? Was it something on his part? I don’t know.” She confessed. It was then that you finally understood what she was going through. She wanted to know if it was her fault or not. You looked back at her after you were done with your current train of thought.

“So, if you were able to figure out why he broke up with you, then would you be able to move on?” You inquired. 

“Well.....maybe.” She answered. You looked off into the starry night sky with newfound determination. You were going to find Golden Shine on Monday and demand him to tell you why he did this. You had to do this for Pinkies sake. You were so busy thinking and staring off into space that you didn’t notice at first that Pinkie was calling out to you.

“Nonny? Hello? Are you alright?” She asked which snapped you out of your trance. 

“Y-Yeah Pinkie, I’m fine.” You answered. “How about we go back inside before everyone starts getting curious as to where we are?” You proposed. She nodded before following you back inside. You left Pinkie to do her own thing while you went off to find your friends Flash and Bulk. You found them chatting with each other and you walked up to them and they took notice of you. 

“Hey Anon. This is a nice party you got here.” Flash complimented. 

“YEAH!! It’s great!” Bulk added.

“Thanks, but listen guys. I need your help with something on Monday.” You said. They looked at each other before looking back at you.

“With what?” They said in unison. 







After hours of partying, it was now nighttime. The party was over and everyone was heading home. You waved everyone goodbye until there was just you, Pinkie, and the girls. They had volunteered to help you with cleaning up everything. You told them that you could have done it yourself but they insisted on it. It only took a few minutes because surprisingly there wasn’t too much to clean besides the occasional empty cup on the floor. After the house was cleaned up, Pinkie and the girls were just about to leave before you said something.

“Pinkie, you go ahead and go back home, I wanna speak to the girls for a little bit.” She looked at you curiously before agreeing. 

“Okay, I’ll see you later Nonny.” She gave you a hug before heading out the door. You turned to the girls with a serious expression. 

“Ah don’t get it. The plan shoulda worked.” Applejack said.

“It definitely should have AJ. But why didn’t it?” Rainbow asked. 

“I know the reason girls.” You spoke up which got everyones attention. “She’s still upset because a part of her wants to know why Golden Shine broke up with her. She told me herself after I asked her.” 

“So that’s it then darling? We just have to figure out why and then Pinkie will be okay again?” Rarity asked. You shook your head in response.

“No. I don’t think it’s going to be that simple Rarity. Even if she finds out, she’s still probably going to be very upset afterwards, and I don’t know what to do if that happens.” You said feeling down ridden. The girls came up to you and gave you a group hug. 

“Well hopefully one of us can find out soon.” Fluttershy said. You were already intending to find out for yourself but you chose to say nothing about it before breaking the hug and saying your goodbyes to the girls. They left before you started getting ready for bed. Your parents were working late so you texted them goodnight to which they said the same thing. You got into bed and slowly drifted off while having thoughts about Pinkie.
> Chapter 7: Interrogating The Ex-Boyfriend

The weekend had passed with everyone going back to school with the usual looks of disappointment whenever their fun time was over. For you though, you were the only one thankful for this, because this was the chance to find Pinkies ex-boyfriend Golden Shine and demand him to tell you why he broke up with her. You looked all over the school during the first passing period to see if he was anywhere, but you weren't able to find him. As you were looking around, you ran into Zephyr Breeze who you really didn't want to see right now. 

"Anon, there you are! I've been looking all over for you! So, have you changed your mind about helping me?" He asked in his usual hipster tone of voice. You tried to hold in your annoyance to this by speaking politely to him. 

"Look Zephyr, I'm really not in the mood for your constant begging right now. I'm trying to look for someone and I can't do that I'm while talking to you. So could you please leave me alone for now?" You asked while maintaining your polite façade. He wouldn't listen though as he continued.

"But Anon, I seriously need your help here! Rainbow Dash is almost mine, I can feel it, I just need the right kind of advice so I ca-" He couldn't finish his sentence as you had cut him off. 

"ZEPHYR BREEZE, I AM REALLY NOT IN THE MOOD TO PUT UP WITH YOU RIGHT NOW! I'M ALREADY GOING THROUGH ENOUGH AS IT IS WITHOUT YOU COMING UP TO ME WITH YOUR CREEPY AND PATHETIC FANTASIES ABOUT RAINBOW DASH! SO JUST SHUT UP FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE AND LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!!" You screamed at him from the top of your lungs. He stood there with a shocked look while he had backed up a bit. You were heaving and panting while staring at him with angry eyes. He stares at you for a few more seconds before finally speaking.

"Well . . . okay then. I can see that you're really upset. So, I'll just be on my way then." He said before slowly walking away while feeling a little bit upset. You realized what you had just done and starting feeling guilty. You just took your anger and frustration out on one of your friends. Sure he was obnoxious at times, but he didn't deserve that kind of treatment. You quickly called out to him before he got out of earshot.

"Zephyr wait!" He turned around while you walked up to him. "I'm sorry for yelling at you. It's just . . . it's just that I'm dealing with a lot right now. My best friend is heartbroken and upset, me and my other friends tried all that we could to help cheer her up which resulted in almost nothing happening, and now I'm trying to find her ex-boyfriend but I can't find him anywhere. Things have been so rough lately and I took it all out on you. I'm really sorry." You said while looking down with tears in your eyes. You heard footsteps which at first you assumed was him walking away, but instead they grew closer to you until you felt a hand on your shoulder. You looked up to see Zephyr with an understanding look. 

"I get it Anon. I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have bothered you when you were clearly upset. We're still friends so no need to worry." He said while smiling. You smiled back at him before giving each other a fist bump. "So, I'm guessing your looking for Pinkies ex-boyfriend by any chance?" 

"How do you know that?" You asked. 

"Dude, I was there at the party and it's been going around the school for a while." He reminded you.

"Oh, right." You said while rubbing the back of your neck. "Have you seen him lately?" You asked before he shook his head.

"I'm sorry Anon, I don't really know where he is right now." He answered truthfully. You looked down in disappointment. "But I do know where he likes to hang out after school if that's alright." Your eyes lit up with hope and you looked back at him. 

"Really?"

"Yeah. He likes to hang out around the soccer field behind school while reading a book. I've seen him a few times there while I was . . . well that's not important. You might be able to find him there." You smiled instantly at this and gave Zephyr a bro hug.

"Thanks Zephyr! Thank you so much!" You exclaimed before he hugged you back. 

"It's no problem Anon." You both separated before you both continued on your way to your first period classes. You texted Flash and Bulk to meet you there after school which they said that they would be there.







School was done for the day, which was perfect for you as you were immediately on your way to the soccer field. Each step you took was filled with determination. Finally, you made it to the soccer field. You looked around for a bit and sure enough Zephyr was right. He was there, sitting by himself on the bottom seats of the bleachers while reading a book with a somewhat bored look. He was pretty much golden colored from head to toe hence the name Golden Shine. He wore a hoodie and standard jeans and converse. The only part of him that was not golden was his eyes which were green. You threw on a determined look before briskly walking over and standing behind him. 

"HEY!" You shouted at him but he didn't respond. You looked and saw that he was wearing soundproof headphones. You were a little bit irritated by this but you kept your calm anyway. You then walked in front of him and looked down at him. He still hadn't noticed that you were there so you assumed that he was really focused on his book. You then got the idea of quickly snatching the book out of his hands which is what finally got his attention.

"Hey! I was . . . Anon? What are you doing here?" He asked. 

"Looking for you." You said seriously.

"Could you please give me my book back?" He asked while holding out his hand. 

"Not right now. You and I need to talk."  He soon grew a rather unenthusiastic look. 

"About what?" 

"Oh don't give me that. You know why I'm here. So why'd you do it huh?" You asked while slowly getting angry. 

"Do what?" He asked while slightly getting annoyed. 

"Why did you break up with Pinkie Pie?" You asked him sternly.  

"That's none of your business why I broke up with Pinkie. So just leave me alone and give me my book back." He commanded. 

"I won't leave you alone and I won't give your stupid book back until you tell me." You said while crossing your arms. 

"Well I'm not telling you so you're just wasting your time." He said. 

"Oh no I'm not. I don't have anything else better to do so you may as well tell me." You said. This is when you were really starting to get on his nerves as he stood up and looked you in the eye.

"Look, I don't have the interest to deal with this. Why don't you just beat it before you get yourself hurt." He said in a somewhat threatening tone. You back talked him.

"I'm not going anywhere, not until I get what I want. So you'd better tell me." He got closer to you while glaring at you.

"Or what?" He said trying to intimidate you but it wasn't working. 

"Or I'll just follow and pester you until you tell me your reason. You won't believe how stubborn I can be." You answered. He got even closer as his face was almost touching yours.

"And what's to stop me from beating you into a pulp to get you to stop?" He threatened. Right as he said that, two hands placed themselves on his shoulders causing him to turn around and saw both Flash Sentry and Bulk Biceps standing there with serious expressions. 

"Because then you'll have to deal with us." Flash said. 

"Yeah." Bulk added in a serious tone. Golden got a little scared at the fact that he was outnumbered in this situation before he took a deep breath to quench his anger. He turned away and looked back at you.

"I really don't want it to resort to this Golden Shine, I'm not trying to threaten you with violence or anything, but if you try to hurt me in any way, they'll just have to deal with you." You said matter-of-factly. He looked down realizing that there was no way out of this before he looked back at you.

"If I tell you, will you leave me alone?" He asked. You pretended to think for a moment before giving your answer.

"Maybe." He looked a little disappointed by the answer before sighing and taking a seat on the bleachers. 

"Alright, you really wanna know? You absolutely wanna know?" He asked to which you nodded to. He took a deep breath before blurting it out loudly. "SHE'S ANNOYING ALRIGHT?!" 

You stood there shocked by what he said. He broke up with Pinkie because he thought she was annoying? You honestly couldn't believe it. They seemed so incredibly happy with each other when they dated but he somehow found her annoying? This was so unbelievable to you that you had to press on.

"Annoying? You think she's annoying?" You asked. 

"I do! Everyday while we were dating each other, she wouldn't stop being so clingy with me AND she also wouldn't shut up for the life of her! When we were first dating I did find it a little bit cute, but now it was just irritating! So you know what I did?! I ended it with her! Because I can't stand her anymore! There I said it!" He finished with a huff before crossing his arms and staring at you. You stood there staring at him with a baffled look on your face. On the outside you looked shocked, but on the inside a tiny little flame within the dark reaches of your body was soon growing into a raging inferno. You tried to keep it together as best as you could before speaking again.

"If you had such a problem with that . . . then why didn't you say anything about it to her?" You asked in a whisper like tone to keep yourself from exploding on him. 

"Because I knew that my words wouldn't have gotten through that thick stupid skull of hers! She's an idiot anyways so I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have understood them!" He responded back while yelling. You then began to shake with rage as you dropped his book on the ground. How dare him. How dare he had the nerve to break Pinkies heart over something that could have been easily fixed just by talking to her. Those thoughts were raging through your psyche. Flash and Bulk took notice of your condition and they had to act fast before you did something drastic. 

"Bulk, hold him back!" Flash commanded which he responded to by quickly holding onto your body as you were thrashing about. Flash was in front of you to keep you from running at him in case you got out. 

"HOW DARE YOU!!! HOW DARE YOU HURT PINKIE LIKE THAT INSTEAD OF TALKING TO HER!! YOU'RE THE BIGGEST IDIOT THAT I'VE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE OF KNOWING!!! You screamed as you were trying to get out of Bulks grasp. Thankfully, he was strong enough to hold you in place as you continued to struggle. Golden backed up a bit with his hands up in defense. He then looked at you and realized why you were acting this way.

"Wait, are you in love with her?" He asked in a surprised voice. 

"WHAT'S IT TO YOU, YOU JERK?!" You screamed at him. He then shook his head in disbelief. 

"Wow. You ARE in love with her. So you're seriously telling me that you're willing to put up with someone as annoying and idiotic as Pinkie Pie you moron?" He asked. This got you even more angry and you continued to struggle while Bulk held you back. 

"I'M A MORON?! NO, YOU'RE THE MORON!! I NEVER PUT UP WITH PINKIE PIE!! SHE'S ALWAYS FUN TO BE AROUND AND I NEVER GET TIRED OF SEEING HER CUTE AND BEAUTIFUL FACE!! YOU'RE THE IDIOT FOR BREAKING A SWEET GIRLS HEART WITHOUT EVEN TALKING TO HER ABOUT IT!! 

"Whatever man! Good luck with you and your clingy, idiotic, pestering girlfriend!" He yelled before retrieving his book off the ground and walking away. 

"GET BACK HERE AND FIGHT ME YOU INCONSIDERATE JERK!!" You screamed.

"ANON, CALM DOWN!!" Flash commanded you.

"YEAH MAN, HE'S NOT WORTH IT!" Bulk added. You slowly but surely started calming down as you slowly sunk to the ground. Flash and Bulk comforted you by patting and rubbing your back gently. You eventually calmed down and looked at the guys. 

"I . . . I'm good. Thanks you guys." You said while taking deep breaths. 

"It's fine Anon. The last thing we want is for you to end up in detention for starting a fight or worse." Flash said. Bulk nodded in agreement. You stood back up and looked at both of them as they stood on either side of you. 

"I'm gonna go see Pinkie right now. I'll see you guys later. Thanks for the help." You said before giving them both a fist bump and a bro hug and walked away while they stared at you with worried looks. You started making your way towards Pinkies house but not before letting your parents know that you were going there. They said okay before you started your journey.
> Chapter 8: Love And Happiness

After walking for some time, you finally arrived at Pinkies house. You walked up to the front door and you were about to knock on it before you hesitated. What if you tell her why Golden Shine broke up with her and she might never be happy again? She said she wanted to know why but what if it just ends up hurting her even more? You loved Pinkie too much to do that to her so you decided to just head back home. Before you could however, a voice came up behind you as you were walking away which stopped you.

"Nonny?" You looked behind you to see Pinkie standing in the door way looking at you with a curious look. "What are you doing here?" She asked. You turned your whole body towards her before coming up with something.

"I just . . . wanted to come and see you. Check on you, you know?" You said. 

"Do you wanna come in?" She asked. You wanted to say no, but you couldn't deny those cute sky blue eyes. 

"Sure, thank you." You said as you stepped inside. Pinkies parents were at work and her sisters were out doing their own thing so Pinkie had the house to herself today as she mostly did. You walked to the couch and sat down as Pinkie walked over and sat next to you. "So, how are you Pinkie?" 

"I'm alright, how about you?" 

"I'm . . . fine, thank you." You said while trying not to be upset by todays earlier event. She caught the nervousness in your voice and soon grew concerned for you. 

"Are you okay Nonny? You seem nervous about something." She asked feeling concerned. You tried to dissuade her from continuing to ask. 

"It . . . it's nothing Pinkie. Just kind of . . . of . . . " 

"Nonny if somethings wrong please tell me. I've always told you if something was wrong so why don't you tell me now." You looked back at her while feeling very conflicted. What should you do? Tell her and risk the possibility of never being able to see her happy again or don't tell her and she'll never know the truth and she may not recover from this? The latter seemed impossible since you've known her to be just as stubborn as you were. It seemed like this was a risk that you had no choice but to take. You steeled your resolve, took a deep breath, and looked back at her.

"Alright, here it is. I talked to Golden Shine today." She gasped at this. She hadn't seen Golden Shine since the breakup and to hear you say that you talked to him was shocking. She allowed you to continue on however as she wanted to hear the rest of the story. "And . . . he told me the reason why he broke up with you." Her eyes widened and she quickly put her hands on the sides of your arms. 

"Really?! What did he say?! Please tell me Nonny!" She begged. You stared at her beautiful pair of eyes as you predicted that they would be filled with tears soon. You bit your lower lip before continuing.

"He said . . . that . . . the reason why he broke up was because . . . he said you . . . were . . . annoying and idiotic." You finished before closing your eyes in defeat. You sat there with your eyes closed waiting for a reaction from Pinkie. You soon could feel her hands on your arms shake a little bit. 'Oh no.' You thought to yourself as you looked up and saw Pinkie staring at you with watery eyes and a quivering lip. You saw the few strands of hair that were standing up instantly became dull and straight again. Her whole body became grey and lifeless as you witnessed all the progress that you made with trying to make her happy again flush down the toilet. She broke down into tears as she held her head in her hands. 

"So it WAS my fault." She said to herself before she was full on crying in front of you. You immediately wrapped your arms around her in some desperate attempt to try and help her stop crying. She wouldn't stop however as she continued to sob and stain the couch with tears. You tried to see if your words would be able to somewhat get through to her.

"Pinkie, it wasn't your fault. Golden was just too much of an idiot to really appreciate someone as good as you in his life. You can't let his words get you down Pinkie. You're so much better than that. You don't need him anymore, he doesn't deserve to be a part of your life."

"BUT HE SAID I WAS ANNOYING AND IDIOTIC NONNY!" She interjected. "IF HE THINKS I'M ANNOYING, THEN EVERYONE ELSE MUST THINK I'M ANNOYING!" She exclaimed while continuing to cry. You felt like it was hopeless now. You were sure that the Pinkie that you knew and loved was now gone forever. You tried everything you could to try and make Pinkie herself again. Now you had nothing left . . . nothing . . . nothing . . . nothing . . . WAIT! There WAS something you could do! One last thing that you could try! It was incredibly risky but you had to take it! You nodded to yourself before you broke the hug and cupped both of Pinkies tear stained cheeks to make her look at you which she does.

"Pinkie, me and the others have been trying so much to get the old you back, but I think I know of one thing that might be able to do it." You said which made her curious. 

"What?" She asked. 

"This!" And with that, you brought her face towards yours and gave her a kiss. Her watery eyes widened and she gasped as you gave her a sweet kiss. She's hesitant at first before she slowly warms into it as she wrapped her arms around your neck and you wrapped yours around her waist as you brought each other closer. You couldn't believe it right now. You were currently in the middle of a make-out session with your crush and she wasn't pulling away or anything. Her lips tasted like the cake that she had at the party as well as a hint of strawberry. It was the sweetest thing that you ever tasted and you didn't want it to stop. Sadly after a few minutes of kissing, the wonderful moment came to a close as you two separated and stared at each other. You then followed it up by saying what you've always wanted to say to her. 

"I love you Pinkie Pie." You confessed. She put her hands on her heart to feel that it was beating a lot faster. 

"Y-You . . . you do?" She asked.

"Of course I do Pinkie. You're such an amazing girl that it's hard not to be impressed by you. You're sweet, talented, funny, bubbly, and Beautiful. I've always wanted to tell you for the longest time but I was so afraid that you probably didn't feel the same way for me. When you got together with Golden Shine, it really hurt me. To see the girl that I loved so much to be taken from me. I'm not saying it was your fault, it was mine for not asking you sooner. But, I basically agreed with myself that as long as you were happy, I was happy; even though I was sad on the inside. When Golden Shine broke up with you, I had to be there for you and do all that I could to cheer you up and to help you be yourself again because that's how much I love you Pinkie. You've made my life so much more brighter just by being in it. I can't imagine my life without you. Pinkie Pie, I love you! I've always loved you ever since the day we met!" You finally concluded as you sat there waiting for her response. You didn't realize that you had tears in your eyes as well until you were able to feel them go down your cheeks. She sat there staring at you for the longest time as if she was given the worlds hardest riddle. She finally spoke after many moments of silence.

"Y-you . . . you . . . love. . . me?" She asked in her whisper tone. You nodded vigorously.

"I do." 

"You . . . love me. You . . . love me. You  . . . love me." She repeated over and over again silently to herself. This continued on until something started happening; something amazing! A smile slowly started to make it's way onto her face and her body started to regain it's color. Her smile continued to grow and grow until it was impossibly wide. And then . . . in a flash . . . her hair poofed back into it's normal bouncy self as she now had a huge grin and tears of joy in her eyes! SHE WAS BACK!!

"I LOVE YOU TOO!!!!!!!!" She screamed and immediately pounced on you and started peppering your face with kisses while saying 'I love you' between each and every kiss. You just let it happen as this was probably the happiest moment of your life right now. You pulled her into another romantic kiss as she wrapped her whole body around you to get as close as possible to you. After what seemed like hours of passion and romance, you two had finally settled down as you still held onto each other. 

"You are so beautiful, you know that Pinkie?" You asked romantically. She blushes while playing with some of her hair. 

"Aww, you really do say the sweetest things Nonny! Can I tell you something?" She asked.

"What is it?" You also asked. 

"Lately, I've been having feelings for you too." Your eyes lit up upon hearing this.

"Really?" 

"Really, really Nonny! I really loved how much you did for me, and as I got to hang out with you these past few days, my feelings for you grew and grew until I started realizing that I felt something for you! It wasn't until just now when you told me that you loved me that I could finally realize that I felt nothing but love for you! You've just been so sweet to me that couldn't help but fall for you! I love you too Nonny! And from here on out, I will always love you forever and ever and ever! That's a Pinkie Promise!" She did her usual gesture before snuggling into you. You grinned widely before resting your head on top of hers. You both sat there in silence for a few moments before Pinkie spoke again. "Nonny, can you Pinkie Promise me something?" You looked down at her as she sat up in your lap.

"Anything." You responded. 

"Pinkie Promise me that . . . you'll never leave me . . . okay?" She asked while looking at you with hopeful eyes. You smiled at the question before nodding.

"I promise Pinkie. Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye." You said while also doing the gesture. She smiles at you before bringing you into another kiss. You gladly reciprocated by wrapping your arms around her as she did the same. The passion continued for another hour or so before it was finally nighttime and you both stopped kissing and cuddling. You both realized the time and saw the darkness outside. 

"Man, I didn't even realize that it was rather dark outside." You commented before looking over at Pinkie with a sly grin. "Want me to stay here beautiful?" You asked her to which she giggled. 

"I thought you'd never ask cutie!" She said before quickly going to her bedroom to change into her PJs. This made you realize that you didn't bring your own PJs with you so you thought that you had to resort to sleeping in your own clothes. That is until Pinkie called out to you.

"Sweetie! Can you come in here for a second?!" You did as she said and went to her bedroom and saw her in her PJs while holding a pair of male pajamas that looked to be about your size. You were surprised by this and walked up to Pinkie who had a big grin on her face. 

"Did you get these for me?" You asked stupidly. She giggled at your question.

"Of course these are for you silly willy! I bought these in case if you wanted to stay another night with me and if you forgot to bring your PJs!" You looked back up to her and smiled before quickly pecking her on the lips.

"Thanks my beautiful little cupcake." You said in a flirtatious way. 

"You're very welcome my handsome cutie-pie!" She said in the same tone before pecking you back. After you had changed into the new set of pajamas, which were very soft and fitted you perfectly, you both climbed into her bed and cuddled together. You brought your faces close to each other before rubbing your noses together while giggling. You then stared into each others eyes before you finally said something.

"Good night Pinkie. I love you." You said to which she smiled sweetly at you.

"Good night Nonny. I love you too." She said before pulling you into one last kiss for the night. It lasted for a few minutes before you separated and slowly let sleep overtake you as you snuggled together in peace and tranquility.

One week later

The afternoon sun was beaming down on the city of Canterlot as another school day at CHS had come to a close. Each student was talking about their plans for next weekend and also about a few tests that were coming up later in the week. We find one particular student by herself at her locker, Pinkie Pie. She was idly rummaging through her locker while humming a sweet tune to herself and with a smile on her face. As she was searching, someone had come up and stood behind her. She at first assumed that it was you before she turned around and was met with someone that she had not intended to see today, her ex-boyfriend Golden Shine. He looked at her with a face of regret and guilt.

"Hey Pinkie." He greeted. She was so shocked to see him again which resulted in her staring at him for a few seconds before coming back down to earth and speaking to him.

"Golden Shine? What are you doing here?" She asked curiously. He took a deep breath before he started.

"I . . . I came to say that I'm sorry. I'm sorry for what I did to you by breaking your heart. I've been thinking this past week and I finally got around to realizing my mistake. I should have talked to you about my personal gripes towards you but I didn't." He said truthfully while rubbing his arm. "I was a massive idiot for being inconsiderate to you and you honestly didn't deserve it. I'm sorry." He finished before looking down in shame. He was about ready to hear any berating or screaming that could come from her such as how much of a jerk he was or how badly it hurt her or something along those lines. It never came though as she stared at him for a few seconds before smiling and surprising him with a hug.

"It's okay Goldie! I forgive you! I'm not upset about it anymore!" She said while holding him close. He returned the hug and breathed a sigh of relief knowing that she wasn’t sad about it anymore. They broke the hug before smiling at each other.

"So, how've you been lately Pinkie?" He asked. 

"I'm good! How about you?"

"I'm fine." He said before he decided to ask her a really important question. "So . . . do you think . . . maybe . . . we could . . . you know . . . try again? You and me? I miss you Pinkie." He said hopefully. She went wide eyed for a moment before throwing on a sad look.

"Oh . . . well . . . I'm sorry Goldie but . . . you're too late. I'm with Anon now." She said sadly. His face changed from a look of hope to that of disappointment as he couldn't believe what she was saying right now.

"Y-You are?" He asked with a slightly breaking voice.

"I am, and I love him with all of my heart." She stated. 

"Hey Pinkie! Are you over here?!" A voice rang out from the hallway next to them. They looked over to see you walking through the hallway by yourself. You looked over and noticed Pinkie and smiled at her before walking over to her. "Hey my beautiful little cupcake." You said flirtatiously. She smiled and giggled before giving you a peck on the lips.

"Hi, my handsome cutie-pie!" She greeted you in her usual fashion. You then noticed Golden Shine standing there behind her before glaring at him. 

"What are you doing here?" You asked him in a threatening tone. Pinkie placed a hand on your shoulder which prompted you to look at her.

"It's okay Nonny. He's here to apologize." She reassured you. You went wide eyed for a few seconds before looking back at him. 

"Really?" You asked him to which he nodded to. 

"I am. Anon, I'm really sorry for what I said to you by calling you a moron before. It was hard for me to believe that you would haven fallen for Pinkie that I said what shouldn't have been said. I really am sorry for putting you through all of that stress that you both more likely went through. Can . . . can you forgive me?" He asked. You began thinking about what to say to him. A part of you didn't want to forgive him for putting you and Pinkie through so much turmoil, but an even bigger part of you was telling you to be the bigger man and forgive him for Pinkies sake. Going with the latter option, you looked back at him and sighed. 

"I . . . guess I can forgive you. For the record, I'm sorry too for taking your book away and almost starting a fight with you. But, I'll say something else. While I am willing to forgive you, I most certainly will never forget this." He nodded at your response.

"I understand. Thank you." He said before you also surprised him with a hug. He returned it before the both of you separated. He looked at Pinkie Pie and decided to ask her something else. "Pinkie, do you think maybe . . . we could start over as friends?" He asked. She smiled at him. 

"Of course we can be friends again Goldie! I'd love that!" She responded happily. He smiled at that before turning his attention to you. 

"And Anon, maybe you and I can hang out sometime. How about that?" You smiled at his request.

"Sure Golden. That sounds nice." You said before looking at your girlfriend. "So, do you wanna head out now Pinkie?" 

"Sure thing Nonny! But first I wanna give something to Golden Shine." She said before quickly giving Golden Shine a quick peck on the cheek. He was shocked by the sudden gesture and gently rubbed his cheek while smiling. "See ya Goldie!" She said to him.

"Adios Golden." You also said. He nods before waving you guys goodbye. 

"Bye guys." He said before you both started walking away hand in hand. He stared at you guys for a few seconds before deciding to get one last word in with you. "Anon!" You turned your head to look at him and stopped walking. "Take good care of her, okay?" You smiled and nodded to his request. 

"I will. And Golden Shine, I hope that you’ll find yourself another girl someday. " He smiled and nodded before you and Pinkie walked away and out of the school. The both of you started walking towards the sweet shoppe for yours and Pinkies date today.

"That was really sweet of you to forgive him Nonny." Pinkie commented. 

"Well since he was being so nice and mature about it, I decided to do the right thing." You said. She grins widely at you before you stopped walking and she pulled you into a deep kiss. You gladly returned it as the kiss continued for a solid minute before you pulled back and placed your foreheads together and stared into each others eyes.

"You've always been so sweet. There's no doubt in my mind that I love you so much Nonny." She said sweetly before you smiled and held her cute body closer to you.

"And I love you Pinkie Pie. Forever and always." You stayed like that for a while just enjoying each others presence. You finally separated before walking together once more. Pinkie went through a terrible experience when her ex-boyfriend broke up with her, but luckily you were there to help put her shattered heart back together. That in turn, resulted in her giving it to you which you happily accepted. Pinkie Pie was now your girlfriend, and you were going to make sure that you would always make her happy no matter what. She needed love, and you were there to provide it.
