Spinel was just getting use to the way things work in Equestria, then Discord decided to drop one heck of a problem on her lap.
Spinel was just getting used to living in Equestria, after a month in the world she'd gotten the hang of Apple bucking, gotten paid twice, and was really starting to make the Barn feel like home, then Discord comes in with something she wasn't ready for, three somethings to be precise. Now Spinel has to deal with three new Gems who are all crazy, yelling something about humans.

Spinel put her hands on the ground and waited as Applebloom got into position.
"Ready," Applebloom called out, Spinel began compressing her body "Set," Spinel dug her fingers into the ground to keep herself from launching. "GO!" Spinel shot into the tree's like a rocket and began bouncing between them rapidly, the pre-placed buckets began filling up fast as Spinel shot threw the tree's, Applebloom stood on the side with a stop watch. "And....STOP!" Spinel grabbed the tree she had just hit and sent her self flying threw the air, landing next to Applebloom easily.
"Think I beat me record?" Spinel asked as she stretched.
"I dunno," Applebloom replied as she looked at the buckets of Apples "Your record's like 48 buckets in a minute, I don't remember how many we actual set up tho,"
"Easy fix," Spinel relied as she turned to the field "We count as we claim," Spinel walked over to the closest tree surrounded by 4 buckets and picked two of 'em up. "2," She called as she made her way to the barn, her home/Apple storage area. Applebloom ran to the closet bucket and began pushing it through the dirt after Spinel.
'3," she called out.
"Well this won't do," Discord muttered as he watched the two from a vortex window he had made "This isn't even a little chaotic," Discord closed the portal and made his way into his house, it took him a minute before he found what he was looking for, the Vortex to Spinel's world. "Here we go I'll just work some magic and..."
There was a loud knock on the door, after a few tries with no reply a few voices could be heard, one rang out over the other two.
"I have the spare," there was movement and then a loud click, three people looked into the dark and dusty house, one was a tall girl who'd had the key, and another was a medium-sized guy who looked like he hadn't slept in a week, the third was a girl who was playing on her tablet.
"Yo Lee!" The guy called out "You got fired dude!" there was no reply "I bet his family had some party and none of them have found the time to drive him home,"
"Wouldn't he have called or-," The tall girl looked around and cut herself off "-oh no wait his phone's over there,"
"I'll go put his check in his room," The one with the tablet said as she took one of her earbuds out and waved the envelope at them as she headed through the living room and down the hall to his room.
"Frank you didn't think to tell me he'd just vanished?" the tall girl demanded.
"Why is it my job to keep an eye on him, Billie?"
"Because he's an idiot who agrees to everything," She mimicked a voice as she added, "Oh Lee I know you have rent to pay by mommy needs you to spend the next week pet sitting, you won't be paid but you'll do it for mommy right?" Frank stood in silence.
"That was a terrible impression," he replied, the two stood in silence.
"Cindy is the door locked or something?" Frank called, receiving no response "Really? were gonna do this again?" He muttered as he made his way down the hall, Billie waited for his loud complaining but it never came.
"Guys," She called down the hall, she looked around and closed the front door, locking it so if her friends were pulling a prank they'd get stuck at it for a moment, she walked down the hall and found Lee's bedroom door closed, she opened it and was immediately met with a blinding purple light, with a snap the door shut and Billie was gone.
"...and the next creature to get close the enlarged vortex will spit out right here," Discord set the Vortex on his roof and Immediately a tiny green gem fell out of it, a rectangular device falling with it that Discord caught and examined. "What in the...?" He pondered as the gem got up, looked at him, and screamed Discord ignored her as she panicked over him and then over herself.
"Oh my stars I'm freaking Peridot," She managed to say before another gem fell threw the portal, Peridot jumped out of the way and watched as Lapis Stood up, looked at her, and screamed before noticing her own body.
"Am I...Am I a chick now?" Lapis demanded as she looked down at herself "am I freaking Lapis Lazuli?" Peridot had no answer to that when a third gem fell on top of Lapis. It got up and blinked before screaming at them. it looked at itself and freaked out more.
"What in the...why the...Am I Bismuth?" As the three freaked out Discord snapped and deactivated the portal.
"Should do for now," He decided as he looked at the Tablet, the trio looked at him for a silent moment.
"Hey, that's my tablet!" Discord used his tail to stop her advance as she flailed at him "Give that back before you break it you clod!" Peridot blinked, then started giggling and looked back at her friends "I didn't purposely add that last part on," She giggled to her still in shock friends "Clod is such a funny word,"
"Alright," Bismuth said as Lapis freaked out over being a chick again. "You, Fuzzy lizard snake thing,"
"I think that might be Discord," Lapis said when she looked over at him, which got Discord's attention.
"OH? Am I a thing in your world?"
"You're a character from a children's show, my roommate in college watched it sometimes," Lapis shrugged "That's all I got for you,"
"Hmm," Discord said as she handed the Tablet back to Peridot "Alright so I'm sure you three are confused,"
"Ya think?" Peridot said as she tried to use her tablet "Oh come on, no internet access?" Discord blinked and opened a vortex that he stuck his head in for a moment, after an awkward silence Discord pulled his head out and minimized the vortex before snapping it into the tablet, it vibrated for a second, then Peridot got full bars. "I'm never going home," She said bluntly as she began surfing the trans-dimensional web "Look at this I get internet reception from like 80 different dimensions! oh, I'm gonna have fun with this," Bismuth and Lapis looked over at Discord who smiled at them.
"I'm sure you're all wondering why I brought you here?"
"You could say that," Bismuth replied as she stood her ground.
"Well I am the god of chaos, and the world I draw that power from is getting...very un-chaotic, and if it's left like that for too long then...a very undesirably thing may happen, in order to avoid that I've been searching for something to cause enough chaos to keep the energy flow stable, I accidentally pulled another creature form your world named Spinel. The trio looked at each other and thought about where they had been.
"Yeah," Bismuth said "That may be a friend of ours,"
"Wonderful," Discord said happily "Now as I understand something about your world is...unexciting,"
"You could say that," Lapis said as she thought back to the countless hours of school and college just to end up as a fry cook.
"Well I am offering you this chance to live in a world where your basic powers are viewed as unique and interesting instead of one in a million," Bismuth turned around and pulled her friend into her,
"I think, that this guy doesn't know that we were just normal people,"
"Don't correct him," Lapis said "I can deal with being a chick if it means I don't have to work 2-12 6 days a week!"
"I'm not going back," Peridot said as she waved her tablet. Bismuth thought for a moment.
"So I guess Lee got turned into Spinel, he must be freaking out..." Bismuth turned to Discord "We will go to this world, but we have to go to where our friend is," Discord smiled.
"Alright, now let's get to planning your glorious arrival,"
"Dang it," Spinel muttered as she and Applebloom made their way to the final two apple buckets "adding the two that are left that makes 44,"
"Guess we were short a tree," Applebloom replied "Don't worry, next time I'll count how many I...um...is that Discord?" Spinel, who had been looking at the trees as though they had insulted her, looked ahead and found that Discord was indeed ahead of them, staring at the trees as though they had also insulted him.
"Hey Discord," she called getting a wave from him to signify he'd heard her "Don't beat up the trees that's my job," Discord looked over at her for a moment before shaking his head.
"Keep to the script," He thought to himself before saying "We might have a slight problem," He said.
"What kind of problem?" Spinel asked as Applebloom looked at Discord then Spinel and back again.
"Should I go get my sister?" She asked, almost immediately a vortex formed in the sky "Yup," She decided as she turned and booked it down the road at full speed.
"Welp, there's your problem. there's a hole in the sky," Spinel said sarcastically. Discord was now in a plumbing outfit.
"Yep," the vortex began rippling "Wait it looks like something coming through!" He poofed a large Apple bucking bucket in front of him to catch whatever it was.
"Are you crazy?! What if it's dangerous!"Spinel shouted as she readied her fist to do some punch justice since it hasn't failed her yet.
"I'm sure it will be fine," Discord replied as whatever it was landed with a satisfying thud, Spinel looked in silence at the tiny statue of a woman holding a gem, there was a moment of silence when Rainbow Dash landed next to them and made them jump.
"Explain," She demanded pointing to the vortex.
"It's raining Moon goddess statues?" Spinel replied in confusion as she looked at the statue. Rainbow looked at it and shook her head.
"In what way does that look like Luna?" She questioned in confusion.
"Who?" Spinel replied earning a squint from Rainbow.
"AJ was supposed to talk to you about that, among other things," Rainbow replied before shaking her head "Off topic, what is that exactly?"
"It's made to keep Lunar Sea Spires from collapsing on top of themselves...I think,"
"Well... That sea thing isn't here so what is that thing doing here?" Rainbow asked as she poked the statue, causing the diamond to glow slightly.
"Weird." Discord and Spinel said at the same time.
"I wanna touch it," Spinel said as she reached out for it.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Rainbow said, slightly unnerved by the little statute.
"You started it so...poke." She poked it and it glowed for a second, there was a moment of silence before Spinel added "It doesn't really do anything without a Lunar Sea Spire, I didn't even know they could glow," Spinel picked it up and started shaking it when another item fell from the vortex, this one breaking the Apple bucket. Rainbow gasped as she looked at the large Pink Cannon.
"What is happening?" She demanded as Discord chuckled.
-Meanwhile-
"This is stupid," Bismuth said as she looked at the Vortex "Why can't we just jump through?"
"Discord said that dimensional tears only suck in items and if we went through it then he could get suspected of causing it," Peridot Replied as Lapis picked up an Umbrella and Black inner tube and tossed them into the vortex.
"Bismuth, get over here and help me with this truck bed," She called.
"I still think this is stupid," Bismuth replied as she helped Lapis roll it to the vortex.
"Wait for my mark," Peridot called.
"A Light Cannon!" Spinel cheered "Oh I bet this was Pinks," Spinel smiled happily before her eye started twitching. "I wanna break it so bad,"
"What is happening right now?" Rainbow demanded. Discord pointed to the trees.
"The Portal that Spinel came through may have left a tiny dimensional tear...My guess is that the tree was hit hard enough to catch it and...well that happened," Discord smiled before saying. "So long as Spinel doesn't touch it..."
"What so Rainbow can touch it but I can't?" Spinel demanded when an inner tub suddenly bounced off her head, followed by an Umbrella hitting Rainbow.
"Ow," Rainbow complained before noticing the way Spinel was looking at the vortex "Spinel don't..."
"I am in charge of me!" Spinel cried out as she held her hand to the sky "And I touch what I want!" Spinel's arm shot up and went through the vortex and Spinel shivered "I regret this decision it feels gross," There was a bright flash up the road and the two looked to see Twilight, Applejack, and Applebloom make their way to them.
"What is happening?" Twilight demanded.
"Dimensional tear," Discord said with a shrug.
"I can see that!" Twilight replied before pointing "Why is Spinel's arm caught in it?"
"I do what I want," Spinel shot back as she began pulling her arm back to her only for something to grab onto it and began pulling her through. "I regret nothing," Spinel added as she extended her free arm and grabbed the nearest tree just before her feet left the ground, quickly followed by Applejack running behind her and jumping on her back, weighing her down just enough for her feet to return to the ground while Rainbow flew in the air and played tug of war with the Vortex for Spinels arm. Twilight shook her head and pointed to Discord.
"What did you do?" She demanded.
"Well, It's possible I may not have closed the vortex to Spinel's home dimension correctly, and when she was apple-bucking she must have snagged the residue with a tree branch and ripped it back open." Discord gave a guilty smile.
"You were hoping something like this would happen wouldn't you?" Twilight asked dryly.
"I require Chaos to exist," Discord snapped back "I need an outlet, I figure it would cause some light panic at best...I um...I just didn't think Spinel would put her hand into it,"
"I do I want!" Spinel repeated.
"Well look on the bright side, now it'll close..."
"Oh thank..." Twilight was cut off as Discord added.
"...you know, once another Gem falls through it," The three ponies looked at Discord, Spinel was too busy trying to get her fist back to listen past her own name.
"What do you mean another Gem?" Twilight demanded,
"Oh well usually a Dimensional tear throws items from dimension to dimension, but if a creature from dimension A is in dimension B and touches it, it'll cause a suction event that will close the portal after one to three other creatures from dimension A are sucked into dimension B," Discord smiled. "Simple really,"
"You mean there are gonna be more Spinels?" Applebloom asked in amazement.
"Probably not," Spinel replied getting a surprised look from Discord, "There are hundreds of gems and Spinel's aren't exactly a common gem, we could get anything, a Ruby, A Peridot, a Topaz," Spinel did her best go at a shrug when the Vortex began convulsing violently and Rainbow dash pulled the arm free and was sent flying into the trees, "Oh hey my..." Spinel was cut off when Lapis fell through the portal and landed on her. Twilight stood in silence as Lapis got up and looked around.
"I already hate this," She decided before Peridot fell out of the vortex and landed in a tree next to Rainbow Dash, her tablet still in hand, she looked around, then went back to her screen, Finally Bismuth fell out with the back half of a truck and landed on the ground with enough force to cause a tiny dirt cloud to form for a second, Discord silently snapped his finger and the vortex faded into nothing. Bismuth opened her eye and stared in silence at Spinel, who was reeling her arms back in. There was a long silence over the apple orchard, Twilight looked like she was going to pass out, Rainbow Dash was looking at Peridot in the tree, Lapis was brushing her dress off as she got off of Spinel, and Spinel just lay on the ground with Applejack on her back as she stared at Bismuth in silence.
Twilight stood in stunned disbelief as she watched the scene before her unfold. Lapis, being the only one on her feet, offered her hand to Applejack, who took the offer and was helped up.
"Wow," AJ said as she looked up at Lapis, "What can you do?" Lapis raised one of her brows at that when Bismuth got to her feet and Applejack lost all interest in Lapis. "Sweet Mother of Granny!" She cried out as Bismuth picked up Spinel, who just kind of hung in the taller gems grasp.
"This, Applejack, Is a Bismuth, They build stuff," Applejack trailed off into silent wonder as Spinel stretched her feet to the ground and Bismuth dropped her. "And Allow me to introduce you to Equestria, trust me when I say this place is nothing like home world," Spinel smiled at Bismuth who looked at her in silence. "You're confused, that is totally fair, this place is as confusing as you are confused," as Spinel started up her one-sided conversation Rainbow Dash silently watched Peridot, who was tapping away at her tablet.
"Uh..." Rainbow tried.
"Hm?" Peridot replied, looking over at Rainbow Dash, "Oh a flying horse, where the heck am I?" Peridot looked around in genuine confusion "Why am I in a tree?" She demanded.
"So I don't have to deal with you," Lapis called back as she walked over to Spinel and patted her back, Spinel looked back happily just as Applebloom made her way forward, Bismuth looked down at her, and Applebloom did everything in her power not to shake as she loomed over her.
"Hey there little fella,"
"Fella?" Applebloom replied without hesitation.
"Sorry, little one, I do believe me and my buddies might be...in a small bit of a pickle here, don't suppose you know someone who could...explain what exactly is happening?" As soon as Bismuth said the word explain Twilight freed herself from her horror.
"I can answer almost all your questions!" She called as she rushed to the big gem.
-40 minutes later-
"Oh thank Celestia," Twilight sighed in relief as She looked up at the group. Folding chairs had been set up in front of the Barn, and Bismuth had been listening to Twilight's speech on what had just happened, followed by a speech about the basics of living in Equestria, Meanwhile, Spinel was trying to figure out how to set up the things that had fallen through the vortex with her new roommates, Peridot had been recording Twilight's speech for later use and Lapis had lost interest within the first 5 minutes and was just getting the hang of her water powers, as she formed a pair of large Water fists to help Spinel with placing the back of the truck Applejack was going crazy with all the work that could get done. "I'm just so happy you're not all...like Spinel is, um do you three know her by any chance?"
"Yeah," Spinel called back "They were trying to stop my Injector from killing their planet,"
"Spoilers," Peridot muttered "Me and Fr...Lapis haven't seen the movie yet,"
"Hush," Bismuth said "We can talk about that in private," Twilight was about to say something when a loud crash happened and the group looked up to see the cut-in-half truck had been slammed into the Barn from the side.
"Check it out!" Spinel called as she and Lapis lay in it "We installed a watch tower!"
"That's what that thing's for?" Applejack called as she cocked her head to the side, after a moment she nodded "I can see that working, night watch for critters, I'll have to look into that," Discord watched the scene playing before him with amusement.
"What are you smiling at?" Twilight demanded.
"This, I love everything about this," Discord and Twilight watched as Bismuth looked up at the Mess, Peridot was dragging the fold-up chair she had been sitting on inside.
"You can't just stick it through a wall!" Bismuth called "You gotta add some supports to the bottom and sides to keep it from..." Bismuth trailed off in confusion "Why do I know that?" She thought in confusion, Spinel looked over at Lapis and found her fast asleep.
"Aw, she's sleeping," Spinel whispered before chucking herself over the edge and landing next to Bismuth, "Lapis is taking a nap in the new Watchtower so you'll have to reinforce it later, There's a Bed inside the barn, and up that ladder" Spinel patted herself as she added "I've never used it so-" Spinel kept talking and Bismuth stood in silence.
"Lot of things are wrong here, but if this is Lee, he isn't acting very much like himself," Bismuth scratched her head and sighed before saying aloud "I could go for a nap right now myself," She decided as she made her way inside and up the ladder. Spinel bounced to Applejack and Applebloom, Twilight and Discord making their way to the castle to talk about what had just happened.
"Don't worry," She whispered to AJ "I won't tell them about the week of not having to work thing," She gave AJ a wink before bouncing back to the barn.
"Good," Applejack said merrily "I'll give 'em the rest of the day and tomorrow to get settled in," She smiled "But after that this Apple farm is gonna be the top farm in Equestria in no time!!"
"Sis you scare me sometimes," Applebloom said as they made their way into their home. Spinel made her way into the barn and waved at Peridot, who was re-watching the Speech. Peridot was just getting to the part where Twilight was explaining to the Princesses when she heard something else.
"It's the color wars, Paulette, doesn't that mean anything to you?" Peridot jumped out of her seat as her eyes rapidly darted around the room, landing on Spinel watching Camp Pining Hearts in the back of the room.
"I love this Special," Spinel said softly as she bounced in excitement as the show started.
"Is that Camp Pining Hearts?" Peridot demanded as she walked over, Spinel's arm shot across the room and she grabbed the table next to the door, the busted lamp on it falling to the floor as she pulled it over to them.
"A Place for your tablet?" Spinel asked, opening the drawer in the small end table. Peridot looked at the tablet, then up to where both Bismuth and Lapis were sleeping.
"I suppose I could put it down and watch an episode or two Lee," Spinel smiled.
"Oh you know about the Lee twins, Have you seen Camp Pining Hearts before?" Peridot smiled awkwardly.
"Sorta, alternate Dimension thing," Peridot placed the tablet in the drawer and shut it before sitting next to Spinel, who rewound the episode back to the beginning, once again the line was spoken.
"It's the color wars, Paulette, doesn't that mean anything to you?"
The sound of arguing rang through the Barn, Lapis wasn't sure when it woke her up, but she finally gave in to the waking world and opened her eyes.
"Oh no," She groaned as she took in her surroundings "This is actually happening" Lapis rubbed her face as she got into a sitting position and looked around, It was either really late or really early, she had no idea which. Lapis got on her knees and crawled through the opening that use to be a back window into the barn, Bismuth was laying on a mattress fast asleep and screaming could be heard from downstairs, Lapis looked down and found that the bottom of the barn was a mess of papers.
"Your logic is flawed!" Peridot yelled angrily. "Paulette has no place in the camps Hierarchy!"
"She is the camp queen!" Spinel spat back "She micro manages everyone!"
"Wrong!" Peridot responded as she pointed to the T.V "She lost her Friendship bracelet while rowing an oar, a call back to earlier when it was mentioned that she failed to properly tie a knot in the knot tying contest!"
"She's faking!" Spinel said in exasperation "She is manipulating all of them and there just as blind as you!"
"No she's just an worthless sack of feather who's never won any of the camp games or activities, her entire personality is damsel in distress!" Spinel gasped.
"You couldn't be more wrong!"
"I was just about to say the same thing!" Peridot shot back, the two where about to continue when Lapis landed between them.
"What on earth are you two doing?" She asked in confusion as she looked at the paper Tsunami.
"Lapis! Your just in time, tell this clod I'm right,"
"She hasn't even watched the show yet!" Spinel snapped back.
"She doesn't have to, she'll know from experience that I am typically right about these kinds of things," Lapis blinked as she thought about something similar happening in the past.
"Opal?" Lee asked in confusion.
"She's just the best on in my opinion," Cindy replied mater o factly.
"I think you meant to say Garnet," Lee replied simply, Cindy rolled her eyes.
"Oh your one of those people,"
"Hey," Frank called from the back door "Your suppose to be taking out the Trash and Grease respectively, not sitting out back talking about Best Fusion! Get inside we got orders!" Frank pulled back in before adding "But Lee's right, Garnet is the best fusion,"
"Eh," Lapis said as she tapped her chin "Without pre-knowledge on the show...I'm gonna have to Side with Lee,"
"Lee?" Peridot asked in confusion as she tried to think of who that was, her memories were a little hazy, as Peridot came to the realization that something might be wrong Spinel jumped to Lapises side.
"So you know about the Lee twins eh? Seen some of the show before?" Lapis looked at Spinel in confusion, then at Peridot as Spinel started rambling. Peridot was looking at her hands and wiggling her fingers. Lapis shook her head.
"Alright, you two exhaustion buckets need a third-party voice, and If I'm to be that voice why don't we start with this, let's stop using the names of...are old home and just stick to the new ones," Peridot looked at her in confusion,
"OK?" She asked when Spinel jumped in.
"Sorry I stopped listening, any way Peridot I think if we just showed Lapis the show, she'd agree that I am clearly the one in the right,"
"Wrong, she will immediately see how Percy and Pierre are the superior pair," Lapis groaned.
"Just show me and I'll make up my mind," Spinel and Peridot both grabbed one of Lapises hands and both led and dragged Lapis to the Television set before rewinding the episode. "Is this the first episode?" she asked.
"Does it matter?" Peridot asked,
"Yes," Lapis replied.
"Well no, this is a mid-season Special for season 3, it's..."
"If you're gonna drag me into this, we're starting with the first episode," Lapis said simply.
-Morning-
Bismuth woke up with a start and looked around,
"Oh dang, this is an actual thing," she pinched the bridge of her nose "Sweet mother above this an actual thing happening." Bismuth moved into a sitting position as she thought about what was happening "I'm never gonna see my mother again, my Dog, I was half a year away from graduating college." Bismuth groaned before hearing the arguing, she made her way to the ladder and looked down at Peridot ripping a lot of papers to shreds.
"You clods are both wrong!" She screamed out as Bismuth began climbing down.
"Sorry Perri but Spinels right, Paulette is playing all of 'em," Lapis noticed Bismuth and waved.
"Here comes Bismuth,"
"Bismuth!" Peridot jumped at the opportunity before her, "Come watch Camp Pining Hearts and agree with me!"
"Excuse me," the 4 looked over at Applejack, who had been summoned by their arguing "I don't mean to interrupt what I'm sure is a very well thought out argument over Camp Pining hearts, but Spinel I believe you have an appointment at the castle in 20 minutes..."
"OH, Dang!" Spinel slapped her face causing her eyes to ricochet in her head. "I totally forgot after...everything that has happened, Bismuth the Tapes in the TV trust Lapis to put the right tape in and have fun!" They watched as Spinel ran a short distance and then rocketed herself off, once she was gone Applejack turned to the three Gems, Peridot had gone back to tearing up all the paper that Spinel had made, save her fan art, and Lapis was looking for the season 1 tape, Bismuth meanwhile made her way out of the barn and looked up at the Truck bed that was sticking out of the barn.
"Hey, you got any nails, bolts, some spare wood?" She asked Applejack as she pointed up at the Barns' new accessory "I need to hook that up with some proper support before it falls on someone,"
Spinel landed in front of the castle, leaving behind her a series of craters in the shape of her feet. Twilight was waiting for her at the castle door and waved at her.
"Twilight," Spinel called to get her already acquired attention, "Twilight I'm supper late!"
"I noticed," Twilight replied.
"I actually have a good reason this time!"
"Was it that show?" Twilight asked the annoyance clear in her voice.
"Yes but how did you know?" Spinel asked somewhat shocked.
"Applejack stopped by earlier and informed me that you and the new gems got into a heated argument over it." Twilight made her way to a small table that had been set up earlier "Now if you're ready."
"Well if Peridot would just listen reason." Spinel mumbled as she took her seat, on the table two cups of cold tea where waiting form them along with a plate of stale muffins. Twilight watched in silence as Spinel drained her cup before looking at her check list.
"So where did we leave off last week?" She asked as she looked through the notes. "Ah yeah, you where telling me about your last day with Pink," Spinel set her tea cup down and leaned on her right arm with sigh.
"It started out like any other day, I think, the Garden's was always facing the sun so time wasn't easy to determine, anyway what I'm going to call the beginning of that day was Pink came by for our usual fun, we had a lot of fun, doing the usual juggling, playing games, that kind of stuff, when she got the call from Yellow and Blue, you remember Yellow and Blue from last week right?"
"Yes," Twilight agreed as she looked over her notes "You also mentioned a White but didn't really explain her all that much,"
"That's a whole session on it's own," Spinel replied "Anyway so Blue and Yellow called to tell Pink that they where giving her her own colony, the planet Earth," Spinel was prevented from continuing when a familiar voice spoke up.
"Where not interrupting something are we?" Cadance asked, Twilight grinned ear to ear and ran to her sister in law who was accompanied by Shinning and Flurry Heart. Spinel took Twilight's tea and drank it as Cadance and Twilight did there little dance.
"I can't believe there's more of them" Spinel muttered before looking over at Shinning and seeing Flurry Heart. "Oh my god one of them is a baby!" Spinel sprang out of her chair and landed a few feet from the stroller Flurry was in, she had been cooing at the sight of her aunt, but Spinel's general body shape and movements caught her eyes and she started squealing with delight before lighting her horn, Before Spinel could react she was picked up by the baby's magic and dragged to her. Flurry squealed in delight and Spinel smiled and touched her gem, pulling out a Pink orb, Flurry watched as Spinel tossed it in the air and caught it in the same hand as with her other she pulled out a second orb, she tossed it into the other hand while the first orb was in the air and began one handed juggling the two before pulling out the third and final and began juggling the three for Flurry, as she did this The Trio watched.
"Wow," Twilight said as she tapped her chin "I wonder what else she has hidden in her gem," Twilight shook her head "Question for later," she deiced as Flurry reached out for Spinel squealing with joy.
"I know this is sudden," Shining said awkwardly "But you wouldn't mind watching her for a few hours would you?" He gave her a nervous smile "Some visiting dignitaries are coming to the empire and...we don't want Flurry any where near them," Twilight raised a brow.
"It's complicated," Cadance added "Stupidly so," Cadance grumbled to herself in irritation before pulling herself back together "I'd really appreciate it if you-"
"Hey!" A Voice that was unfamiliar to Cadance and Shinning called, getting their attention, the two watched as Lapis casually made her way up the stairs. "You can juggle?" She asked in shock, her eyes locked on Spinel.
"There's another one," Shinning said in shock,
"I said the same thing when I first saw your wife," Spinel called back as she ended her juggling routine and returned the orbs to her gems, "And your child," she added merrily before turning to Lapis with out skiping a beat. "So what brings you to the castle?"
"I followed your craters," Lapis replied simply, "Peridot was getting out of hand and I just needed to be around anyone else, but Bismuth was busy building a watchtower out of a truck bed and your the only other person I know so-" Lapis shrugged "here I am," as Spinel and Lapis talked Spinel turned her hand into a Balloon animal and stretched it over to Flurry, who was having a blast at this point.
"There's 4 of them now," Twilight said in response to Shinnings question "Don't worry tho they...haven't tried to kill anyone yet so there already doing way better than Spinel was," Cadance watched for a moment as Spinel and Lapis talked before remembering why she was there.
"As much as I would like to meet these Gems, I'm afraid we are pressed for time so-"
"Oh sorry, yes of course I'll watch Flurry for a few hours, I have nothing planed that can't be pushed to later today, and Spike is off Visiting Ember so I don't have to worry about Spinel blowing a fuse," Cadance and Shinning gave Twilight a quick thanks before teleporting back to the empire. Twilight attention was immediately gained by Spinel who began laughing as Flurry began chewing on her Balloon animal hand. She immediately light her horn and removed the hand from Flurries mouth.
"Spinel," She said sweetly as Flurry used her magic to try and take her prize back. "I'm fine with you and...Lapis?"
"Lapis," Lapis replied simply.
"Right, I'm fine with you both staying, but if your gonna be doing things like this wash your hands and don't encourage Flurry to chew of Balloon animals,"
"I encourage everyone to try something at least once, be it chewing on a Balloon or-" Spinels terrible advice was cut off as Lapis formed a water hand and used it to drench Spinel in water.
"All Clean," Lapis said before picking Spinel up in the hand and walking into the castle "We'll be inside talking about Gem stuff, have fun baby sitting,"
"I will," Twilight replied as she turned to Flurry, who looked miffed at the loss of her Balloon animal and new friend, Twilight blew a raspberry and Flurry started giggling. "I definitely will," She repeated with a smile.
Twilight was making her way into the castle with Flurry when a drop of water dripped on her, Twilight rubbed at the spot in a moment of confusion before groaning, the ceiling, walls, and floors of the castle had water dripping everywhere.
"Why are gems so difficult?" She muttered as she took Flurry out of the stroller. Flurry made a few noises and Twilight pulled out one of the bottles left in the bottom of the stroller and gave it to Flurry, who happily started drinking it. Twilight carried Flurry through the wet halls and followed the wet trail to the cutie map room, the doors where open and the gems where inside, Spinel was once again juggling, this time on the cutie map, while Lapis was keeping a set of water rings floating around her for added effects. The first thing that came to Twilight's mind as she watched this was that Trixie would love this, she shook the thought away and cleared her throat to get their attention.
"Hi Twilight," Spinel waved "Hi Baby not Twilight, what happened to the Dad and Not Twilight.
"Spinel do you not know their names?" Twilight asked as Flurry squealed in delight at the sight of Spinel
"Are you surprised by that?" Spinel asked.
"Not really, Spinel this is Flurry Heart-" was all Twilight managed to say before Flurry lit her horn and encased Spinel in her magic.
"Oh she want's to play," Spinel said turning to Flurry and getting conked over the head with her own juggling orbs, Flurry laughed as Spinel was struck to more times and her eyes began rolling around in her head, Flurry squealed and shook Spinel with her magic. Lapis and Twilight watched as Flurry pulled Spinel to her and started playing with her, Twilight started laughing as Spinel was twisted up.
"I think she thinks your a toy," Twilight giggled as Flurry let Spinel go and watched as she spun around the room like a top before landing face first on the cutie map, hey eyes spinning in her head. Flurry once again squealed in delight and Spinel smiled.
"Who am I to disagree?" Spinel asked as she got back to her feet dizzily, her eye's still rolling around in her head. Twilight made her way to Lapis, who had changed directions with her water and had shaped it like little fish and set it swirling around Flurries carriage who was loving every second of it as Spinel began juggling for her again.
"So?" Twilight asked as she looked at Lapis, who was sitting in Twilight's chair sideways, resting her head against one of it's arm rests. "Lapis looked up at Twilight before returning her focus to the fish.
"So," Lapis replied bluntly.
"You can manipulate water?" Twilight noted as she watched the fish turn into a set of tiny ponies dancing around Flurry, who was living the dream.
"It would appear that way," Lapis replied.
"How much can you use at a time?" Twilight asked curiously.
"What're we talking about?" Spinel asked, Twilight looked at her, then to where she had been juggling, Spinels had stretched her legs out and was using them to keep the act up while talking to Twilight.
"She was asking me stuff," Lapis replied "and to answer your question, if I so chose to I could summon every drop of Water on your planet and make a Pillar into Space." Twilight stared at Lapis for a moment.
"Your not mentally unstable are you?" She asked with a noticeable tone of worry in her voice.
"Not at the moment," Lapis replied without a shift in her tone, Spinel was about to say something but was interrupted when Flurry decided she wanted to play a new game and light her horn, Twilight and Lapis watched as Spinel was squished into the shape of a cube by Flurries magic, Twilight and Lapis watched for a moment as Flurry squashed and stretched Spinel into multiple shaped until Spinel finally cried out for help.
"OK Flurry," Twilight called as she made her way to ther niece "Play nice, you don't wanna break Spinel do you," Flurry let go of Spinel and Spinel fell to the floor in silence as Flurry waved her hooves at her aunt who happily gave her attention. "Don't worry, I have a whole room set aside just for when you come for a surprise visit," Twilight started rolling Flurry out of the room before calling to the gems. "Lapis I'd like to talk with you for a short while, would you mind staying her for a minute or two?"
"I'm not moving until I wanna move, and I don't feel like moving so your in luck,".
"Spinel?" Twilight asked turning to the Gem who got to her feet, Twilight noticed that Spinels jolly nature had died down and she seemed a little shaken. "Could you watch Flurry for just a few minutes while I talk to Lapis?" She pleaded.
"OK," Spinel said Nervously, her entire body was sore after what Flurry had just done to her, "I can do that," Spinel followed Twilight to a room that was any child's dream, there was a tiny slide, a little play house, mountains of toys and other play things spread across the entire room, and unlike every other room in the castle the walls floors and ceiling where all padded down and soft, Spinel looked around the room as Flurry immediately started playing with the first thing she could get her hooves on.
"Have fun you two, I'll be right back," Twilight made her way out of the room and back to Lapis to talk about what her long term plan for staying in Equestria was, Spinel sat down and watched as Flurry began playing with a rock a stack. Flurry started chewing on the smaller ring for a short while, having a blast with it before sneezing and sending it rolling away. Flurry babbled for a moment as she looked for her next toy and settled on a bead ring Spinel watched with a smile as she started playing with it.
"This isn't so bad," she thought "She's just playing with her toys, and I guess I'm an honorary one at the-" Spinel's thoughts cut off as Flurry hit the bead on the floor and sent them flying across the room, Flurry was still waggling her hooves happily, unaware she had just destroyed her toy.
"I don't wanna be a toy," Spinel decided as she got up, as she did this Flurry came to the realization that her toy was gone she frowned and began looking for the next one when Spinel made her mistake, as soon as Spinel took a step she let out a loud Squeak and Flurry looked over at her and started smiling again.
Spinel stood in place as she began dripping with sweat. Flurry got to her hooves and marched over to Spinel, an excited look in her eyes as she made her way to the Gem, Spinel took a step back and squeaked again as Flurry got closer, Spinel took another squeaky step back and Flurry squealed with joy at the noise and lit her horn, Spinel quickly pulled out the Rejuvenator, using it to disrupt Flurries Spell before jumping over the baby with a spin, Flurry watched in awe as Spinel turned into a glowing wheel before running to the door and kicking it open before booking it. Flurry babbled with joy and gave chase.
Spinel was gasping as she slid to a stop looking at the open door before sighing with relief.
"I'll just watch her from here," She decided when a shadow shone through the door way and Flurry emerged giggling with glee and she flew into the hall and after Spinel. Spinel Spun around and ran as fast as she could away from Flurry and ended up running up a fight of stairs ran down the hall a little ways before twisting mid run a slid a little on the floor before jumping into a semi open door, inside she found it to be mostly empty save a bed and a side table, Spinel heard giggling and jumped in place, sending a squeak through the room and into the hall, Spinel fumbled the Rejuvenator in her hands for a moment, narrowly missing hitting herself with it before turning it off and stuffing it back into her gem, as soon as it was gone she jumped on the bed and making herself 2 dimensional and slinked under it's one blanket.
Spinel lay in silence for no more than a second before the door opened and she head Flurry's happy sound as she searched for her new toy, Flurry landed on the floor and proudly made her way into the room, she checked under the bed first before taking flight and landing on the bed with a soft thud in between Spinels legs Flurry light her horn and pulled down the cover, Spinel compressing herself to keep under the Blanket, Flurry then picked up the Pillow and fiercely beat the Pillow out of it, she let out a confused cooing noise as she looked inside the Pillow case, Spinel peaked one of her eyes out as Flurry went from confusion to joy as she started playing with the lose fabric. Spinel slowly made herself 3-dimensional and smiled as she made to make her escape. she set her foot on the floor and a loud squeak rang across the room, Spinel froze on the spot as Flurry let out a squealed at the noise and took the Pillow case off her head. The two looked at each other for a moment and Spinel gave her a look of Terror just as Flurry cried out in joy, Spinel jumped to her feet with a squeak and made to run for it, only for her feet to be frozen in place, resulting her in falling flat on her face, Spinel pulled her sell off the floor and looked at her feet to find her feet stuck in magic from the ankle down, preventing her from using the Rejuvenator without major risk to herself.
"No!" Spinel said in a panic as she latched onto the bed back two legs with her arms "You can't make me go!" Flurry didn't notice as she took to the air, dragging Spinel behind her, Spinel watched her feet be dragged of before the rest of her followed after, she firmly held onto the bed when Flurry gave a mighty pull and Spinels jolted towards the door, and her arms snapped back to her side, flipping the bed, Spinel had half a second to look up before the bed flattened her. Flurry didn't notice as she pulled Spinel out of the room and down the hall, Spinels eyes where spinning from the impacted and she had just shaken the pain from her head when Flurry reached the stairs Flurry flew down them still dragging Spinel across the floor, resulting in Spinel's head banging each and every one with a squeak on the way down, Spinel was very easily dragged into the Playroom, Flurry closed the door and let Spinel go before cheering happily, She stood with an excited look in her eye as she waited for Spinel to get up, Spinel proceeded to lay on the floor in a pain induced daze. Flurry made her sound of confusion and smiled as she got an idea, Spinel was then levitated in the air and Flurry proceeded to do what she had seen her father do multiple times when her toys batteries started dying, she violently shook Spinel to try and get her going again. After a solid minute of shaking she stopped and looked at Spinel, who was just kind of existing, Flurry sighed and tossed Spinel away, Spinel flew across the room and slammed into the wall with one final mighty Squeak. Flurry made her way into the room and started playing with all the toys in the room, breaking all of them one by one until Twilight came back, She looked into the room and sighed.
"Spinel you where suppose to be watching her," Twilight looked around the room for Spinel and found her laying unmoving with her face pressed hard into the wall. "And of course she decided to sleep for the first time ever when I give her the most important job in the world," Twilight sighed as she picked up Flurry, who was ecstatic to see Twilight. "Well don't worry, Auntie Twilight won't ever leave you alone with Spinel again, now who's hungry?" Flurry responded with joy as Twilight took her out of the room, Twilight closed the door and the second she did Spinel Removed her face from the wall and took a deep breath before quietly crying in relief on the floor.
Bismuth looked up at the Back end of a truck, it was now nicely attached to the side of the barn and wouldn't be leaving it any time soon, as she looked at the tiny watched tower hundreds of ideas for modding out the barn came to her mind.
"It's like a video game," She whispered, "But the only thing limiting me is my own imagination...and resources..." Bismuth thought for a moment as she tried to think of the game that was at the tip of her tongue. "Mine...something..." she groaned at her lack of being able to fully use her own mind. "Something weird is defiantly going on, and I bet that Chaos guy is to blame...or at least his magic is," She took a deep breath "So long as I don't just succumb to the inner Bismuth in me I probably won't turn into her...I hope," Bismuth looked inside the barn at Peridot, who was going off on a tangent with her new best friend, green old lady who's name Bismuth had missed. She thought for a moment before turning away from the entrance and heading down the dirt road.
"I guess I can check this place out," Bismuth made her way onto the dirt road and almost immediately bumped into a creature.
"Hey!" the victim complained as he looked up at her "Watch it you....oh holly snap," Bismuth looked down at some sort of bug pony, who was staring at her in amazement. "What the heck are you?" She demanded as she got back up to her hooves.
"I'm Bismuth," Bismuth replied simply "and...I'm a Bismuth," she tapped her gem and the Bug pony looked at it for a moment, she noticed it was shaking as it tried to stand its ground and said politely.
"I'm Ocellus," Ocellus said simply "I just got back in town today, school year's about to start and junk, you...been here long?"
"No, I just got her yesterday,"
"I could...show you around if you want?" Ocellus sounded unsure in her own offer.
"Sure," Bismuth replied "I have absolutely no idea where anything is, Besides that castle, that thinks sticks out,"
"Yeah," Ocellus agreed as she looked towards the crystal structure, "It sticks out hard," Ocellus gave a nervous laugh before walking forward, "So, um, just follow me I guess, Ponyville is just down this road," Bismuth smiled at the nervous pony and followed her without complaint. "This is so weird," Ocellus thought as she looked back at Bismuth "Beyond weird even, why did I offer to show it around?" Ocellus felt like she was about to break into a cold sweat "Because I ran into a giant monster thing and I panicked," Ocellus managed to calm herself down a little and looked back at Bismuth who was looked at the trees in silence, "So," Ocellus said, trying to strike up a friendly conversation, "What brings you to Equestria,"
"Discord opened a vortex in time and space and pulled me and my friends here," She said simply. Ocellus had no ready reply to that and tried jumping to the next topic.
"How many of your friends are here?" She tried.
"There are Lapis and Peridot, they came through with me yesterday, and then there's Spinel, she got sucked into this world like a month ago,"
"Oh, I'm sorry about that?" Ocellus wasn't sure how to react to this information so she was just trying to roll with it.
"Naw it's fine, our old home was...not an easy place to live," Bismuth looked down at Ocellus and added. "Also you don't have to lead me around if you don't want to,"
"No it's fine," Ocellus lied.
"You look like your about to cry or something," Bismuth replied as she looked down at Ocellus "I can get you being a little put off by my size, but I have a hard time believing I'm the biggest thing you've ever seen,"
"Well yeah," Ocellus confirmed "as a Changling I can turn into bigger creatures," Bismuth looked at Ocellus for a moment and took a step back.
"OK see, now I'm a little worried about being in your company," Bismuth said with a nervous laugh "How about we meet in the middle, you just take me someplace easy for me to remember and we can consider this awkward walk done?"
"Deal," Ocellus agreed "You like Cupcakes?"
"I think it should be illegal not to," Bismuth replied.
"Well, I'll take you to Sugar cube corner then, If you haven't met Pinkie yet she'll probably give you a couple as a Welcome to Ponyville present."
"Sounds like a nice...pony?"
"She is a pony," Ocellus confirmed as they headed out, it took them little time to reach ponyville, the town was in a bit of a rush,
"Did you see it?" Cheerliee asked Sugar Belle "There was a creature flying through the air with water wings,"
"Big Mac told me there are more Gem golems, like three more," The talking cut off as the residents of Ponyville saw Bismuth walking with Ocellus.
"So you're a type of golem?"
"That seems to be what Spinel's going with," Bismuth replied as she looked at the ponies.
"Sugar cube corner is that building right there," Ocellus said pointing at the bakery with her hooves, "You see?"
"Yeah, Yeah I see it," Bismuth smiled at Ocellus "See you later Ocellus," She said as she went on her way to the bakery, Ocellus watched her go and was almost immediately swarmed by other ponies asking her about the new Gem Golem.
"Here you go Rarity," Pinkie said merrily as she set a Chocolate Milkshake down on Rarity and Sweetie's table "and her you go, Sweetie," She added as she placed a Vanilla one down.
"Did you hear?" Rarity asked Pinkie "I heard from Rainbow this morning that there are more Gems now, Me and Sweetie even saw one flying by using water,"
"What!?" Pinkie demanded as the bell to the door rang "How many!? What are their names? Have they eaten before?"
"I can't wait to meet them myself," Rarity added "Spinel's a little odd but I'm sure at least one of them has decent taste in fashion,"
"What?" A laughing voice asked, The trio turned and looked at Bismuth who was chuckling. "What is this worlds definition of Fashion? I haven't seen any of the ponies I passed by wearing clothes," The Three ponies looked at Bismuth in quiet shock. "I'm liking this place," Bismuth decided "Nothing makes sense here," Bismuth walked over to the counter and rang the bell, Pinkie jumped out from behind the counter, excitement glowing in her eyes and Bismuth looked back where she had just seen her. "My point is proven,"
"Hey you OK?" Bismuth asked as she looked down at Pinkie, who was shaking so hard that the counter was shaking with her.
"Give her a moment," Rarity said as she joined Bismuth at the Counter, Sweetie stayed behind to enjoy her shake.
"Oh my gosh!" Pinkie cheered as she jumped over the counter and squeezed Bismuth's face "I can't believe there are more Gems! Are you friends with Spinel? are there more Spinels? What was that one that was flying? Where are you ears?" Bismuth laughed and Picked up Pinkie.
"Aren't you a fun one?" Bismuth gave her a once over "You must be Pinkie, I heard about you,"
"My Reputation proceeds me," Pinkie agreed before slinking out of Bismuth's hands "One second, I gotta make you some Cupcakes, and your flying friend some!"
"There's a fourth one at the barn," Bismuth added. As Pinkie set to work on making a mountain of Cupcakes Bismuth looked down at Rarity, who had her eye's set firmly on Bismuth's gem.
"It's amazing," Rarity whispered just loud enough for Bismuth to hear, Bismuth looked down at her gem and rubbed it.
"Yeah I guess it is pretty good looking." Bismuth replied, Rarity didn't respond as she imagined the Gem as the Center piece of a crown, with Spinel's Gem as the center piece to the dress.
"Fabulous," Rarity muttered dreamily, Bismuth had taken a step back at this point.
"I don't much like that look in your eye," Sweetie got up from the table and made her way to Bismuth.
"Please excuse my sister, she makes clothing for a living-"
"Gezz that sounds ruff," Bismuth said as she looked out the window "as far as I can tell neck ware and hats are all ponies wear," Bismuth squinted for a second "And I really can't think of them wearing shirts or pants in a way that isn't just silly to look at,"
"Um...I don't think I've ever seen anypony besides Discord wear pants," a look of confusion appeared on Bismuth's face as she looked down at Sweetie.
"That guy's a pony?" Bismuth scratching her head "He sure doesn't look like one,"
"It's an expression," Pinkie said as she walked to Bismuth with a Wagon full of neatly packaged Cupcakes. "One Spinel is particularly unfond of." Pinkie was marching in Place, Behind her Rarity was still deep in gem fantasy and she muttered the word dress and Pinkie gave her the stink eye. "You know," Pinkie said as she looked at Rarity "That kind of talk is exactly why your banned from touching Spinel," Pinkie unhooked herself from her cart and jumped on Bismuth's shoulder in one quick movement. "And that same goes for Bismuth," Pinkie handed Bismuth a small whistle in the shape of a fish and said in a serious tone "If she tries to jump you blow for me," She started at Bismuth for a moment before rubbing the sides of her head. "Am I at least close to your ears,"
"I don't think I actually have ears," was Bismuth's only reply.
The walk back to Sweet Apple acres was simple, Pinkie was humming along next to her with Sweetie and Rarity, Sweetie had laid claim to Rarity's milkshake and was more than happy about it.
"So what do Bismuths do?" Sweetie asked after a particularly long attempted sip.
"We build things," Bismuth replied as she listed the only things she could think of "Like buildings, weapons, other such things," She looked back at Sweetie and pointed ahead of them to the front entrance the Apple's farm. "I've got some serious plans for the Barn, Thinking of adding a Tower for Peridot, Defiantly gonna add a Silo so Lapis can have some water storage, might add some things to the ceiling and walls so Spinel can climb around, and I'll need to add a Forge," Bismuth began talking about maybe adding a small plot of land on top of the barn and making a chill zone as they made their way down the dirt road. Rarity finally broke out of her daydreams when she saw the first addition to the barn.
"What on earth is that thing?" She demanded a tone of disgust in her voice.
"Not sure yet," Bismuth replied "It's either gonna be a watch tower, or Lapises bed, Maybe if I set up the supports right we can put the light cannon in it?"
"The what?" Sweetie asked in confusion,
"Oh a few things from our world fell into this one along with us, We have a Moon Goddess statue, An Umbrella, and an Inner tube." She pointed at the truck bed "We just kind of shoved them all up there to deal with later, Light Cannons was just kind of sitting out here all night so I just buried it in a large pile of rugs, welcome mats, and old carpet pieces that were underneath the upper floor area," Bismuth shrugged "Deal with it later," Before more questions could be asked the Door to the Barn opened and an irritated Granny Smith walked past them.
"Morning," She said casually when Peridot slid out of the barn.
"I was just trying to help," She called after Granny before noticing Bismuth, "Bismuth, just the Gem I was hoping to see, I, the great Peridot, have thought up a way to make this Apple Bucking business 100 times more efficient,"
"Sweet Celestia it's a tiny green Trixie," Rarity said in horror as Pinkie shot out of her harness and slid to a stop next to Peridot.
"Oh, my goodness you're so tiny!" Peridot looked over at Pinkie and poked her nose.
"I'm taller than you," She replied smartly.
"But you so much shorted than Bismuth and Spinel,!" Peridot looked at Pinkie for a moment.
"Bismuth who is this... sugar-filled pink creature?"
"That's Pinkie, she brought Cupcakes,"
"Hard Pass," Peridot replied as she held up her hand and her tablet floated to her "I'm busy,"
"You can make things Levitate!?" Pinkie asked in amazement, "Bismuth can you do that?"
"No, but...I can turn my hands into cooking gear," Pinkie lost interest in Peridot and was immediately on Bismuth's shoulder.
"You mean to tell me you can bake!?"
"Sorta?" Bismuth asked as Peridot turned away from them and started typing up a log to repeat aloud when there wasn't so much noise interference,"
Log Date Un Kno wn: It appears this world uses the time measurement of Moons, I have no idea how to translate this to normal time, or even what it would translate to, Day? Months? Years? It is yet to be clear, the colorful ponies tell me that moons are used but that's not what I'm making this entry for, I'm making this to document several events currently happening. The first object on this list is easy to understand, I am now in a new reality, this world seems to be run by multi-colored horses of three different classes (To be studied and better classified in later logs) the greater details of the way we arrived here is classified and not to be put in written word, just in case this log is seen by the wrong eyes, that said the best I can put into this log is that we, Bismuth Lapis and I, where on a search for Spinel, who had been missing for a fair amount of time. Rest of details are classified.
The Second object on this list is quite simply remarkable, it amazes me that not one, but two Gems of reasonable intelligence (Spinel slightly less so than Lapis) would fall under the belief that Paulette is somehow the camp queen of Camp Pining Hearts, Current theory is that Lapis is just trying to make Spinel an Ally, why and for what is yet unknown, Theories posted below.
Theory A: Lapis knows we will have to do work on this Farm at some point and is maybe hoping to get on Spinel's good side so she will do her work for her.
Theory B: Lapis is planing to use friendship to slowly get Spinel to see the light of Pierre and Percy, if this is proven true I shall begin employing method as well, Spinel will thank us later.
Theory C: Lapis actual thinks Paulette is- Naw that can't be right.
The Third object on this list is The Old Green Pony Named Granny Smith, She at first seemed like an ordinary elder, but as soon as she saw that Camp Pining Hearts was on she made it very clear just how wrong I was, she immediately showed me how she was more capable than Spinel and for once I felt like I was talking to someone who was almost as smart as I was. At least until I told her about my ideas of increasing production on the farm with machinery.
I came up with the oh so ingenious idea when I was watching the big red pony kicking a tree for its apple (this method is slow and, quite frankly, somewhat silly) I offered to begin work on a device to get the apples down for them, and Granny Smith got rather unpleasant to be around and left soon after, giving me the stink eye as she did so.
The Fourth object on this list is about Bismuth, I noticed her attaching the truck bed to the top of the barn, which looks amazing might I add, but all the while she had an irritated look on her face and was mumbling to herself, I only noticed the mumbling once or twice, but when she builds things she usually enjoys herself. I currently have no theories what she's up to, but I did notice her talking to Lapis for a short while before she flew off, she seemed less on edge after that, but she still looks troubled, I'd go ask her about it, but I'm waiting for Lapis to return so I may first question her.
My Genius knows no bounds, as I was writing this I came up with a theory, contradicting my early statement of having none. As I thought it over I realized what is the most likely problem, the switching of worlds and as such the loss of her forge, This is the most obvious reason and I will be asking Lapis, Spinel, and maybe some Ponies, to assist in helping me get her a new one. (Or at least find a good place so she can build one.)
The Fifth and Final entry Is the least interesting on this list, as it isn't in any way about me or how thoughtful I can be while writing this I overheard the Pony in a hat (Jackie if I heard the Pink one right) mentioning how a series of seismic events in this collection of trees cataloged as the Everfree forest (no info available at the moment) has sent its residents of critters (None Horse animals) into her fields. She left before continuing but I felt it best to document the talk in the Log (Just in case this somehow becomes my problem)
Sneaky squeaks sounded through the castle as Spinel tip-toed out of the playroom and down the hall.
"I don't remember being this squeaky," She muttered as she made her way down the hall, in the throne room Lapis was still sitting in Twilight's chair when she heard Spinel sneaking past and watched as she moved slowly with very long steps through the hall.
"Lee never was much good at sneaking, guess it carried over," Lapis watched before sighing and getting out of the chair and making her way to the door, she watched as Spinel continued her squeaky routine to the unlocked door, walked past it and began very loudly trying to get a window that didn't look like it was designed to open. Lapis groaned as she made her way to her friend.
"First," She said making Spinel scream out in shock "The Door is unlocked, second that Window doesn't open, And Third you every movement is followed by a squeak, in short you're not in any way being stealthy," Spinel turned on the spot and wrapped herself around Lapis shaking.
"Lapis you have to help me, Tiny Twilight thinks I'm a toy and I watched her break all her toys into pieces, I don't wanna get shattered by a baby I'd hate it and the Baby would probably feel bad for committing murder when it grew up," Lapis looked at Spinel and sighed.
"Yeah OK," She said before Picking Spinel up with a water hand and dragging her back to the Throne room.
"Betrayal!" Spinel screamed out as she attempted to free herself of the water. Lapis made her way back into the room and sat back down while making Spinel sit in place and wait for Twilight to come back with the Baby.
Lapis might have fallen asleep had Spinel not been trying to squirm out of her grasp the entire time but after a little over 2 hours Twilight returned with Flurry. Twilight looked shocked for a moment and Lapis wondered if it was because of the water fist or if she had forgotten they were there.
"What did Spinel do?" She asked suspiciously.
"Flurry heart broke a toy and now Spinel thinks she's gonna break her," Twilight blinked before laughing.
"Spinel, I'm pretty sure Flurry isn't about to break you, even if she did you'd just reform,"
"First, it's rude to think exploding into dust isn't painful or at the very least uncomfortable, Second I'm worried she's gonna break my gem, no gem, no Spinel!" Twilight sighed and held up Flurry who was giggling at Spinel and waving her hooves at her.
"Flurry you wouldn't hurt Spinel would you," Twilight asked sweetly, Flurry laughed at her aunt before sneezing and laughing again. "Gross, anyway don't worry Spinel, I've realized you shouldn't be trusted alone with a baby anyway,"
"Excuse you! I should be trusted with all the babies...just not that one, keep it away from me," Twilight sighed and turned back out of the room, Flurry smiled at Spinel and waved cheerily at her before the door closed.
Lapis looked back up at Spinel who was very still in her hand.
"Judging by your calm collected outward appearance I'm guessing the second you're free your jumping out the nearest window,"
"Nonsense," Spinel said much too calmly "I'm cool, you can put me down now," Lapis sighed.
"I'm carrying you back to the barn," she decided as she got up and made her way out of the room, She waved to Twilight before leaving the castle and looking at Spinel, whose act melted now that she was outside.
"Let me go, I can bounce to the barn from here,"
"Nah, let's take this opportunity to talk, tell me everything that's happened since you first got here," Spinel groaned and Lapis added.
"If you don't I'll drench the TV in water and you won't be able to watch-"
"I woke up from a tree with no idea how I got there," Spinel said hastily "Something must have been wrong cause I couldn't use my powers properly for a while. Anyway, after that I got kicked out of the tree and kicked to death-"
"-And then I punched Topaz a lot, then we went home," All the Gems and Apples were in the barn, Bismuth had used the broken cart and the pile of rugs along with some spare firewood to make them some basic furniture, a Dining Table, 4 chairs, a Couch, and a second table for the T.V to stand on. they were all at the Dinning table for "Dinner" Spinel had a pile of chips on a plate, Lapis and Bismuth were eating with the Apple and Peridot wasn't eating anything.
"Missing a few details here and there but all around accurate," Applejack said in response to Spinel's story, across from her Granny was giving Peridot the stink eye.
"Peridot why in tarnation aren't ya eating?" Granny Smith spoke up. "Not hungry." Peridot simply said as she watched TV from her seat, Poor choice of words on her part. "NOT HUNGRY?! " Granny Smith gasped. "Peridot get yer kester over here and get some grub before I ground ya from that their telly" "I have a tablet" Peridot replied blowing the old mare off. "I wouldn't test her Perry." Applejack cut in. "Granny is very serious about her meals." "As a Gem I have no need to partake in the intake of subsistence as it's quite pointless for a gem," Granny gave a sour face and got out from her chair.
"Applejack be a dear and hand me an Apple fritter, I'm gonna show this rock the joys of eating," Applejack tossed Granny a Fritter, and Granny marched to Peridot, after a few seconds Peridot was running away from the angry elder
"Get away from me!" Peridot demanded as Granny gave a slow chase.
"Not till you eat this Fritter and tell me if you still don't wanna eat!" Peridot made good progress until Bismuth stood up and took a Fritter, with Lapis and Spinel joining in.
"Don't you dare!" Peridot barked before running at full speed away from them, Granny watched as the three other gems ran after her, Spinel stopped and took Granny's Fritter from her.
"I'll make her eat this for you, Gran," Spinel said with a smile before running after them. Granny smiled and made her way back to the table."
"Applebloom be a dear and get the Extra Fritters out of the fridge, that Peridot's gonna be inhaling them in a few minutes,"
Bismuth was hard at work outside the barn, some Scaffolding had been set up and she was Setting to work removing the portion of the wall boarding the small upper floor. As she cut away she could hear Peridot and Spinel where watching Camp Pining hearts. Lapis had drawn the short straw and was helping Applejack and Bigmac out in the field. Sitting in the small room that was the upper floor was Applebloom.
"So how big are you gonna make it?" She asked as Bismuth continued taking out the wall.
"The Blueprints are over there," Bismuth said simply, pointing to a large Blueprint held in place with a few rocks. "Once I knock this wall out I'll extend the floor and add some railing, that was the others can leave quickly if their up here." Applebloom looked at Bismuth in confusion and she added: "Lapis can fly, Peridot can fly if she has a trashcan lid or something similar to stand on, Spinel can jump so high it might as well be flying, and Lapis can carry me out or I can just jump over the side if the need arises." She smiled at Applebloom, who was looking over the blueprints "Emergency exit, important to have 'em," Bismuth went back to cutting out the wall. Applebloom looked over the blueprints in silence.
"Your gonna add a pool?" Applebloom asked without turning around.
"Yeah, and a silo for water, but that's late-stage stuff, gotta get some building materials before I start on that," Applebloom kept looking over the blueprints at the things Bismuth was planning to add to the barn, turning the walls into a Jungle gym for Spinel, adding a few side tower, the biggest one was simply labeled as for Peridot, the pool had Lapises name on it, a side door and a porch was to be added under where Bismuth was working at the moment, the roof was going to be taken off and replaced with what looked like a greenhouse and a smaller side building was going to be added behind the barn, and a few rope bridges connecting the Greenhouse to all but the Peridot tower, and finally the Silo was set up to be next to the Barn.
"Wow," Applebloom said as she looked it over "You sure you can-" She looked behind her and found the wall was now completely gone, she moved it the hole and looked down to see Bismuth was piling up spare wood, Applebloom made her way to the ladder and got to the bottom just in time for Bismuth to walk back into the barn.
"Hey," She called, getting Peridot and Spinel's attention "You two mind lending a quick hand? gotta move these rugs and stuff out of the way so I can install a new door.
"Why do we need another door?" Peridot asked as Spinel paused the tape.
"I'm setting up a nice outside area so if the Apples want us to eat with them they don't have to eat in this dusty old barn and we don't all have to cram inside their dining room, the door is so we can walk straight there instead of walking out the front and around the side," Peridot muttered as Spinel bounced over to Bismuth and began helping, having been the one to originally stack up the pile in the first place, as Spinel worked, Bismuth went back outside and double-checked her measurements.
"Sure wish I knew what I was doing," Bismuth muttered irritably.
"You don't know what you're doing?" Applebloom asked making Bismuth jump.
"Oh my stars, kid ever consider wearing a bell or something?" Bismuth shook her head before answering Applebloom question "I know what I'm doing, but I don't what I'm doing at the same time,"
"That..." Applebloom pondered on Bismuths answer for a second "raises more questions and answers none,"
"I have no idea how I know what I'm doing," Bismuth said as she pulled out a pencil and started sketching out a rectangular outline on the wall. "Well I suppose I know how I know, but I myself am not entirely sure if actually know," Bismuth facepalmed herself before turning back to Applebloom "Ok, now I've confused myself," She groaned before sitting down and patting her lap, Applebloom took the hint and took a seat of Bismuths leg.
"Let's see, how do I explain this," Bismuth muttered as he thought to herself "I could just say I'm a human, but I don't think a child is the right one to spring that information onto, Discord is the one I'm bringing that subject up to first, let's see...an explanation a child would understand," Bismuth muttered before smiling "Do you know what instincts are?" She asked.
"Oh, um..." Applebloom thought hard for a second to try and recall the word "Mrs.Cheerliee said it's a fixed pattern of behavior and a natural way of thinking for some animals,"
"Alright so for a Bismuth our natural instinct is to build grand structures, so we are programmed...do you know what programmed means?" Applebloom shook her head and Bismuth tried again "So we Bismuths are...made with the knowledge of how to build grand structures, but whereas most Bismuths pop out of the ground and just get to work, you could say I was a...special case, I only recently started building things when before I had no idea how to, it's like...it'd be like you just going about your day and suddenly becoming unbelievably good at something without having ever done it before," Applebloom looked at Bismuth for a moment before her eyes lit up.
"Like getting a cutie mark?"
"Um...yeah actually," Bismuth said with a smile as Applebloom got off her lap and got back onto her feet "It's like getting a cutie mark,"
"So your special calling is building, fixing, and improving stuff," Applebloom said as she thought "What are the other's special calling?"
"That is much harder to describe," Bismuth replied as she and Peridot came round the side and called out.
"Hey Bismuth, the piles been taken care of!" her job done Peridot headed back inside as Spinel came bouncing out to check out the new Area Bismuth was making, the materials where ready, but the area itself was still the same.
"It looks amazing," Spinel cheered.
"I haven't started yet," Bismuth replied with a chuckle, "But thanks Spinel," as Bismuth began cutting out the hole for the door Applejack and Lapis returned with a cart of Apples, Applejack looking vaguely irritated as she pulled the cart, Bismuth and Applebloom both spied the problem when they got closer, Applejack was soaking wet from head-tail. as Applejack grumbled in irritation Lapis was watching the clouds with a faraway look in her eye.
"What happened?" Applebloom questioned one the two got close enough. The two looked at each other for a moment before saying in unison.
"Miscommunications," they decided before Lapis made her way to Spinel and patted her friend on the back.
"Come on bud, let go explore the place, I wanna try some more Pony sweets,"
"Oh, I'll introduce you to Pinkie!" Spinel cheered before touching her gem and pulling out a whistle in the shape of a Cat "She gave me a whistle!"
"She gave me one to," Bismuth muttered as she reached into her pocket and pulled her fish whistle out. "Said to blow it if Rarity jumped me,"
"Yeah," Spinel said with a laugh as she returned to her whistle to her gem "Pinkies funny like that, oh I wonder what kind of whistle you'll get Lapis,"
"Feel like I should have gotten the fish," Lapis said as Bismuth tried and succeeded in putting the Whistle in her gem.
"Neat," Bismuth said before going back to cutting a hole in the wall.
"Wait, what the heck are you doing?" Applejack demanded as she watched Bismuth cut a hole in the wall.
"Oh, well I'm-" as Bismuth began explaining exactly what she was doing Spinel and Lapis made their way down the dirt path to the main road.
"So what happened?" Spinel asked as they walked.
"Oh, well I wasn't about to start kicking trees so I tried a few methods to get the apples down, ended up causing a cloud burst," Lapis shrugged "Bright side is my job is now to make sure the orchard is watered regularly so I don't have to kick any trees," Lapis looked to Spinel and gave her an odd look.
"What?" Spinel asked, having trouble walking against the wind buffering her.
"Why does it look like your about to get blown away?"
"You don't feel this wind?" Spinel asked in shock when a bright light suddenly came to life behind them, Lapis turned just in time to see a vortex appear behind them, Spinel didn't have time to look back as she was busy being sucked into it. Lapis grabbed her friend as she lost her footing and went flying Lapis grasped onto Spinel, who was trying her best to pull forward, after a short struggle Lapis lost the battle and Spinel was torn from her grasp and sent hurtling into the void, the second she went into it is disappeared. Lapis stood in silent shock just as Applejack, Bismuth, and Applebloom slid to a stop, having arrived a moment too late. The 4 stood in silence when the sound of the Barn opening and Peridot laughing was heard as she made her way out.
"Oh man, you guys are not gonna believe-" She stopped laughing at the look on their faces. "What? Did I miss something?"
Spinels screaming turned to laughter as her travel through the vortex became more like a roller coaster. She went from falling through light to sitting in a cart and going around a loop she looked around laughing as she held onto the safety bar. Suddenly she started talking.
"I hate this ride," She heard herself say, her own voice sounding fake for some odd reason.
"Buck up Ŝ͉p̢̬̤̗̂̾̎̔i̳̪̘͙͗̔̀͛ń̲ę̰̣͇͂̎̏̚l̻͕͖̲͙̎̀͑̇̆," She heard Lapis say and tried to turn and look for her friend only to find herself suddenly standing on a basketball court bouncing the ball, She wasn't having fun any more as he body moved on its own as she tried to throw the ball without using her powers, suddenly she was standing in a hot room, holding a spatula and flipping burgers, Peridot was up front and she could see Lapis taking out the trash.
"Hey S̨̭̼̙̣͊̈́̉̕p̨͈̣͈̮͌́̇͊͝i̻̠̦͇͒͗͛̈́͟͝ņ͎̙̬̗̍̓͂̿͠e͉͍͍̪̅̀͌͛͡ͅḷ̥̌̀̒́̌͟͜͢ Keep your eyes on the grill you-" Spinel blinked and found herself sitting on a couch she looked around in silence then tried speaking.
"What?" She demanded, after confirming she was in control again she jumped to her feet "What!?" She cried out when she heard the sound of sipping and turned to find Discord drinking some tea next to her.
"Interesting," Discord said as he scratched his chin "It seems, at least now, your not lying about who you are?"
"Say wha?" Spinel asked in confusion as she looked around the chaotic home. "Nice volcano,"
"Thank you," Discord said as he got off the couch and began stroking his beard. "Spinel, I have a few questions that only you can answer,"
"So you sucked me into a vortex, then a roller coaster, a basketball court, and a restaurant?"
"Something like that," Discord said as she snapped his figures and the two were suddenly standing in a dimly lit room.
"Where the heck we at?" Spinel demanded as she looked around the dusty room and picked up one of the pillows on the bed, earning a frown from Discord.
"And that answers my question," He said as he snapped his fingers and they were back in his home, Spinel still holding the dusty Pillow.
"Wait what question?" Spinel demanded as she looked around in confusion "Did I get it right?"
"Yes," Discord said as he looked at the vortex in thought "just not in the way I thought you would," Spinel looked at him for a moment before scratching his head.
"So we good?" Discord gave no indication he had heard her and she frowned before curling her pinkie into a horn and walking to his side, She looked at him for a moment before blowing loudly into his ear and making him jump as she shouted to him "I Said, WE GOOD?" Discord looked over at her for a moment before patting her head.
"Yes," He declared before dropping her through another vortex, Spinel spun around through it for almost a minute before landing on her feet with a squeak. Spinel patted herself and happily looked around before deflating, she was in the middle of an ancient ruin, surrounded by a lush jungle. She looked around in irritation before a large shadow engulfed her and she turned to look at a large creature looking down at her.
"Morning?" she said in greeting.
"Spinel," Lapis cried out as she flew down the road, away from ponyville "You out there?" as Lapis got farther and farther away the rest of the Gems and the Apple family had divided into groups each with their own task, Applejack and Peridot where heading to the castle to both ask Twilight's aid and make sure she wasn't the one who had sucked Spinel up, Applebloom and Bismuth where heading to Fluttershy's cottage to see if Discord was to blame, Granny Smith and Big mac meanwhile were tasked with trying to retrieve Lapis before she got too far and ended up lost.
"Get back here," Granny cried as she hobbled after the flying gem, her cries fell on deaf ears due to Lapis being too far and too high up to hear here, Big Mac rushed after her at full speed and ended up beneath her, he waved up to get her attention, and she just flew past him once she confirmed he wasn't Pink.
"Nope," he said before rushing back to her field of vision and waving again, only to be ignored once again, "Nope," he repeated as he tried again. As this was going down Applejack and Peridot made it to Twilight's castle, and found the only resident to be Starlight.
"Sorry" Starlight replied with a head shake when Peridot asked for the Purple Science horse "She and Spike are visiting her parents for her fathers Birthday,"
"Oh great" Peridot groaned "We came all this way and end up finding the wrong magical horse," as Peridot began cursing the injustices of the universe Applejack instead turned to Starlight for aid.
"So, Spinel got sucked into a Vortex," She said casually "Any idea what that might be about?" Starlight looked at her friend for a moment tapping her chin with a hoof, "well she came here through a vortex, maybe she was sucked back into her home reality?" Applejack thought for a moment
"I could probably find a way for that to make sense," She decided ", if Discord's magic hadn't been the driving force in her being here,"
"Yeah," Starlight agreed "I can't argue with that," the two turned to Peridot as she cleared her throat.
"If this Discord has the power to pull us from one dimension to another, then he can probably just snap his fingers and pull Spinel out from where ever she currently is and bring her back to us,"
"Well, Applebloom and Bismuth are already going to ask if he did it so I guess we can go see if he'll help while we're at it," with a quick goodbye to Starlight Applejack and Peridot made their way to Fluttershy's cottage.
At the same time, both Bismuth and Applebloom were sitting with Fluttershy in her cottage, Applebloom was sipping some tea while Bismuth looked at how small her cup was in the palm of her hand.
"Never gonna get used to how big I am now," she thought before saying aloud, "So Fluttershy any luck with Discord?" The Yellow Pegasus finished sipping on her tea before replying.
"He'll probably come once he has the time," She went back to sipping her tea and a semi-awkward silence followed before she added, "It could be a while until he gets here, can I offer you some sandwiches?"
"I'd like one, please," Applebloom replied happily.
"I'll try one," Bismuth decided as she attempted to drink from the small cup in her hand, almost swallowing it as a result "Also, not to be a bother, but can I get a bigger cup?"
"oh," Fluttershy smiled back sweetly at the gem "that's no bother, no bother at all,"
- 90 minutes later -
Fluttershy's cottage had gotten more and more cramped with time, at the moment she was now sitting with the three gems and the 4 Apples.
"I'm just saying," Applejack said once she swallowed the last bite of her Sandwich "maybe you should send Sugar belle a letter and tell her about the gems, she won't be back for a few more months so you do have some time but I think you better do it sooner rather than later,"
"Eeyup," Big Mac replied before taking a drink
"Just not sure how exactly to put it into words?" Applejack inquired as she took a sip of her drink.
"Eeyup," Big Mac agreed as he finished his drink. Before they could continue Lapis, who had spent the last 20 minutes laying on the floor, got to her feet.
"I'm done," She decided "I'm gonna go back to blindly searching, it's better than waiting for Captain Chaos to decide to come and help us,"
"I am a God not a Captain," Discord replied as he materialized from nowhere.
"I knew it!" Lapis practically screamed out "You were keeping us waiting on purpose,"
"Maybe," Discord replied as he took a cup and did the classic drink the glass and not the drink bit. "So what can I do you for?"
"Did you Vortex Spinel!" Lapis demanded.
"yes," Discord replied simply.
"I hate him," Lapis decided irritable "I hate everything about him"
"Ok Discord," Applejack said getting to her hooves "Games over, un vortex Spinel so we can get back to our respective days," Discord blinked and went from calm and cool to looking very guilty.
"What did you do?" Fluttershy demanded.
"Nothing," Discord replied, doing so a little too fast for the Pegasuses' liking.
"Discord what did you do?" She demanded firmly.
"Nothing," Discord said in denial
"Discord," Fluttershy said angrily
"I might have sent her to the wrong place," Discord said as he gave up with a groan.
"And that wrong place would be?"
"I dunno give me a sec," Discord said as he snapped, after a moment he snapped again, and after the third time gave a sigh, "Alright great news, it wasn't my fault, some item of power pulled her to its location using my own spell to do so, she's probably having some grand adventure or something and it might be dangerous, so who wants to-"
"Just send us," Bismuth said as she got to her feet "Just make sure to bring us back when whatever summoned her is not summoning her anymore.
"I can do that, though I would like a word with all three of you when you have a moment," And with that Discord snapped his fingers.
Spinel barely had time to take in her surroundings before a large shadow engulfed her. She turned to look at the large creature casting down upon her
"Morning?" she said in greeting as she gave it a once over, it was a large blueish monkey dog thing with a hand on the end of its tail, it also had a very long face.
"This is my temp?" The creature asked in confusion as he looked at the staff he was holding with his hand tail, the staff was a simple long stick with an orb floating over its end, around the orb was a slanted ring. The Orb started glowing and flashed several colors. "No need to be rude," The Creature muttered before clearing his throat. "I am the Mighty Ahuizotl,"
"Neat," Spinel replied merrily "Where am I?"
"These are the Ruins of the once great...um," The Creature blinked then rubbed its eyes, giving the look of pitching his nose as he did so "...Dangit, witch ruins were these?" after a moment he snapped "Oh yeah, these are the Ruins of the once-great trib of Ponies that went on to be the founders of the Crystal Empire, and you have been summoned by my Patron Goddess to keep tabs over this place while I-"
"I'm sorry," Spinel interrupted "Could you repeat that in smaller words?" Ahuizotl sighed at that and started again.
"I need you to keep any ponies from going into that temple and touching anything while I do the same thing, only about 100 miles to the north, do this and you shall be rewarded, fail and I'll probably be fired,"
"Rewarded how?" Spinel asked suspiciously "Cause I'm not very easily bought," The Orb Blinked a few times and Ahuizotl Translated.
"Do the job and you shall receive an Artifact from your homeland," Ahuizotl thought on that for a second "Ah, that's why you look so odd,"
"Your one to talk," Spinel snapped back "You have a hand tail!"
"Fair enough," Ahuizotl said with a shrug "know, will you guard the-"
"Sure," Spinel replied with a shrug "I can punch some ponies,"
"Excellent!" Ahuizotl cheered "Good luck, please don't get me fired," with a wave and a flash of light Ahuizotl and his staff were gone. Spinel looked around for a moment in silence.
"Man I have a weird life," she decided as she jumped up and crossed her legs in the air and bounced on the ground as she waited for something to come and get punched, as her luck would have it, she didn't need to wait for long as not even a full minute later three ponies were watching her from afar, just out of her line of sight. One of them was trembling with fear as he gazed at Spinel through his binoculars.
"Is that it?" one of his companions asked as they gazed at Spinel "Is that the Anti-heart?"
"It is," the pony confirmed as he sat down and poked at his Clover cutie-mark, his two companions watched him for a moment before he gave a large grin and looked at them. "Revenge will soon be mine,"
"Not to kill your dreams or anything," his 2nd companion said as he used his hoof to point at Spinel, "But that thing beat the snot out of you when you had home field advantage, and now where sitting on its floating island temple,"
"Yes, my dear brother Topaz was a fool, we should have shattered it the second we captured it, but he was always about rituals and what not, but not I, for I am a pony of action! I am a pony who does what needs to be done and does it without hesitation, I-" There was sudden moment and the pony found himself alone as his two companions ran as fast as they could. "-Hey! I was giving a motivational speech about how great I am!"
"I noticed," Spinel said as she leaned on her rejuvenator, it's blade facing the pony "Say have we met, I feel like I've seen you-" Spinel was cut off as the pony let out a high pitch squeal and ran as fast as he could after his companions. Spinel watched as he ran and returned the Rejuvenator to it's capped state before putting it in her gem. "I swear I've seen that guy before," She said as she went back and sat back in her spot, as she sat in wait the ponies re-grouped.
"Ok," The Clover leader said "so my speech was a little to loud, but there's no need to fear, it isn't that smart of a creature, we just need to remain silent,"
"We did remain silent" his companions deadpanned back at him
"Silence," he screamed at them before stuffing his hoof in his mouth before they scattered, just as Spinel arrived at the spot, she gave the are a quick once over then went back to her spot "Hide and go seek," She said loudly "You either run away or get punched, either way I win," as Spinel sat in wait for her prey they grouped back up.
"ok," The Leader whispered in his softest tone "Plan B, one of you peons cause a distraction and while your getting pummeled I stab it in the back," there was a moment of silence before one of his companions pushed him over and the other cried out loudly.
"This Clover guy called you the Anti-Heart" and with their part done the duo turned and bailed on their idiotic leader as fast as they could as a large hand shot out and snatched up the Clover pony who started squealing again.
"I remember you!" Spinel said angrily as a her pupils got bigger "Your the guy who kept hitting my head on the ceiling, and your the guy I used my rejuvenator on," His reply was to continue squealing Spinel frowned and as she waited for him to stop after about a minute he stopped to breath in before continuing, he got to keep going for about three seconds before Spinel started beating on him, after a few seconds Spinel was suddenly sent flying into the wall by a blast of magic, the Pony went from squealing to laughing.
"You fool," he said as he lit his horn "You may have taken my Magic before, but I have since regained it and-" Spinel removed her Rejuvenator and the pony turned tail and started squealing again as he made a run for it, Spinel turned into a wheel of light before easily out pacing his and slashing him with her weapon, depowering him again and causing him to trip, she stored her weapon before picking him up, he continued squealing and Spinel decided to pass the time until Ahuizotl return by beating the living daylights out of her captive.
It took a while but Spinel finally stopped beating on the pony once he had finally stopped squealing at her.
"Alright," She said after a good 10 seconds of no violence or squeals "You don't squeal I don't punch, got it?" the pony gave no notice of being conscious let alone hearing her. "Ok good," Spinel said before sitting back down and dropping the pony on the ground, She sat in silence for about 2 minutes before a portal opened behind her, she looked back ready to punch at it, and was instead greeted by Bismuth jumping through looking equally ready to punch with a Hammer's hand. The duo both dropped their battle stances once they saw one another.
"Oh hey Bismuth," Spinel said merrily "How goes fixing the barn,"
"Far from my current concern," Her larger friend replied as she looked around "What happened?"
"I got sucked into a Vortex by Discord, then Ahuzizotol and his talking stick said they'd pay me to guard this floating island,"
"Ahuzi-what?" Bismuth asked in confusion just as Lapis jumped through with Peridot in tow
"Battle ready!" Peridot cried out as she waved a set of Tree branches with a few nails stuck in them so she could make them hover around her. "Who am I wacking?"
"You can wack this guy," Spinel said pointing to her less than conscious prisoner, Peridot showed no hesitation in beating the unconscious pony with her branches before being stopped by Lapis.
"That dude might be dead," Lapis said before lightly tapping him with her foot, the pony groaned and Spinel instantly punched him only to be grabbed by Bismuth.
"I'm sure there's some great joke about not beating a dead horse but maybe stop beating him before he becomes a dead horse,"
"I told him to stop squealing," Spinel said indignantly as Bismuth let her go "Anyway nothing to worry about, this guy tried to break me once," Spinel looked down at him as he continued to not be conscious.
"So who or what is this Ahuzimoto thing,"
"That's Ahuzizotol," a voice said, the 4 turned and looked at the owner of said name as he seemingly appeared behind them, in his tail hand the staff was glowing and flashing "And I thank you for your aid in this matter and for not getting me fired, as promised an Artifact from your Homeland, is there anything specific you want?" Spinel smiled and motioned Ahuzizotol forward and whispered something in his ear. the staff started glowing and Spinel gave a giddy laugh before showing off her prize, a plain-looking cube.
"What is that?" Bismuth asked suspiciously.
"Oh, you'll see," Spinel replied happily as Ahuzizotol picked up the pony Spinel had beaten.
"Ah, when you awake I shall have many a question for you, thank you once again," Ahuzizotol waved as the staff started glowing again and the 4 gems found themselves back at the barn. Spinel instantly ran into the barn, laughing like the mad gem that she was as she held up the cube.
"Spinel what does that do?" Bismuth demanded as she gave chase to the Looney gem, Spinel slid to a stop next to the TV and set her prize on the ground, Bismuth watched as it increased in size and her jaw dropped when she saw what Spinel had waisted her gift from a god on.
"Behold, the Infinite Popcorn and Soda Machine Combo Plater!" Spinel cried out as she reveled in the machine, it was shaped like an angular U, One side a Soda Mancine and the other side a Popcorn Machine, the flat top that rest between the two had cups and Popcorn buckets resting on it along with some Popcorn salts.
"We don't even need to eat," Bismuth said into her hand as she tried not to laugh at the sight before her as Spinel set her head on the Soda Machine and began guzzling from one of its 4 choices in drinks.
"Movie Night is gonna be so awesome!" Peridot exclaimed when she saw it, "The Pointless consumption of Buttery Corn and Sugary Liquids is a key point in enjoying a proper movie,"
"Yay," Lapis said lazily "how fun, Spinel come on I wanna get my whistle,"
"Oh yeah!" Spinel said as pulled away from the Soda Machine and squeakily rushed over to Lapis "Come on, We have to tell Pinkie about this, she'll freak out!" Spinel curled up and shot out of the barn, Before Lapis could even try to follow there was a loud shriek and Spinel Flew back into the barn, compressing as soon as she touched the floor and shot straight through the roof.
"What the?" Bismuth Demanded as she looked up "Spinel you're helping me fix that!" Lapis looked out the door and Found a medium-sized Dragon.
"Uh?" She asked as she looked at the gems before her, then to the ceiling "What the?"
"Smolder," Applejack called out as she rushed towards the barn, "I told you not to go near the barn!"
"What the heck are these guys? And why did the Pink one send itself flying when it saw me?"
"oh no," Applejack groaned as she looked over at the gems "Well I take it you got Spinel Back then?"
"We did," Peridot replied as she looked at the Spinel-shaped hold above her, "Who is this and what did they do to gain that kind of reaction from Spinel?"
"This is Smolder, and Spinel is scared of Dragons for..." Applejack shut up instantly and started sweating when she saw Spinel Flying back down, Spinel's landing cracked the floor of the barn and leaving imprints of her feet on it as she pointed directly at Smolder and cried out loudly.
"Dragons Eat Gems!" Before grabbing Peridot and sending herself and Peridot flying back out the hole in the roof. Lapis instantly grew a Large pair of Water fists and Bismuth turned her hands into a pair of scythes.
"Explain now," Lapis demanded as Bismuth put her hands in a defensive position, Smolder took several steps back and Applejack jumped between the gems and the Dragon.
"Wait, stop, this is just a simple miss understanding, "Let's all just keep calm and..."
"I am a living Gemstone," Bismuth said instantly, earning a shocked look from Smolder "I will not calm down in the presence of something that eats Gems,"
Spinel landed in almost the exact same spot she had last time she had jumped away from a Dragon, She set Peridot down and breathed a sigh of relief as an assortment of Creatures noticed them.
"That thing eats Gems!" Peridot demanded, "And it just walked up to our front door!"
"The only one I ever met was half its size and easy to scare off," Spinel snapped back before freezing and shivering like made "And that's even bigger than the last one," Peridot followed Spinels gaze and saw a tall Blue Dragon talking to some kind of bug moose. Without hesitation, Spinel tapped her gem and pulled out a whistle and blew into it as hard as she could, the result was instantaneous and the ground beneath them basically exploded as Pinkie popped out of the Grown with a Shovel in her hooves and her main moving like a drill.
"Who making a move on Spinel?" She demanded as both Spinel and Peridot instantly jumped onto her.
"Pink Pony there's a Gem eating Dragon at the barn!"
"Hm?" the Large Blue one turned at the world Dragon and Spinel Compressed herself behind Pinkie.
"And there's a giant one looking at us," Spinel whimpered as she put the whistle back in her gem, Pinkie's mane un-drilled itself and she tossed the shovel back in the hole she had made.
"Oh, that's just Ember, I'm sure if you just talk to her we-"
"What is this thing?" Ember asked as she Picked up Peridot, who started screaming instantly.
"Put me down Gem eater!" Pinkie snatched Peridot from Ember's hand and set her next to the cowering Spinel.
"Ember, This is Peridot and Spinel, there living Gemstones," Ember looked at Pinkie, then the two gems, her eyes instantly snapped to Spinel's gem.
"That is the single most delicious looking Spinel I have ever seen in my life,"
"Step off death Lizard," Spinel said as she inflated her fists and started waving them in front of her as she began bopping up and down in place "I knock you flat," Ember's eye's narrowed at that.
"Oh is that so?" She asked as she cracked her knuckles.
"Wait, No!" Pinkie cried out, her Pinkie-sense went off and she Grabbed Peridot before jumping out of the way as Spinel Srtecned her arm back and swung down at Ember, the Dragoness dodged and rushed Spinel as her large fist left an imprint on the ground and the Fight began.
Bismuth and Lapis put their weapons away as Applejack explained that Smolder wasn't going to eat them.
"Alright," Lapis said slowly "But stay 6 feet away from me at all times,"
"Done," Smolder said, not exactly scared of fists made of water, she was instead looking towards Bismuth and her scythe hands. "Heck I'll stand 10 feet away just for you," Smolder backed away from them and Applejack turned her attention to the rest of the young six and Granny Smith who had been watching the confrontation from afar.
"Granny please introduce everyone to one another, I have to go make sure Spinel isn't causing a one-gem riot or something,"
"Um," Smolder said nervously to Applejack "Ember came with me so she could visit Spike, She went ahead to ponyville so..."
"Oh, son of a- " Applejack ran at full speed to Ponyville.
"Bismuth," Lapis said "Go say hi or whatever, I'm gonna go stop Spinel," Lapis took flight and took off after Applejack.
"So, Spinel do this often?" Lapis asked once she caught up with Applejack, "Bounce away from danger I mean?"
"Well sometimes she fights but that typically ends with Twilight getting involved, but I don't see that being an option at the moment," Lapis let out a sigh before increasing her speed and passing Applejack as she shot towards Ponyville, She very quickly found Spinel spinning around in a pink tornado as she attempted to keep Ember at bay, Ember simply flew out of reach of the spinning attack and blew out a blast of Fire, Spinel came to a stop and bounced away, throwing her fist at Ember, who dodged it and grabbed Spinel's extended arm before throwing it over her shoulder, lifting Spinel up into the air and slamming her into the ground. Spinel hit the ground and spun back to her feet, attempting to retrieve her arm from Ember, who held it firmly in her grasp.
"You ready to call it quits?" Ember asked "Because as far as I can tell you're far from being able to knock me flat," Ember looked to Spinel for a response when Lapis decided to side with her friend and formed two water fists and swung them down on Ember, slamming her into the ground and flattening her.
"Spinel might not be able to, but I sure as hell can," Lapis said as Spinel reeled her arm back in.
"Go Lapis!" Peridot cheered from Pinkie's back, now sporting a whistle in the shape of a little bear around her neck. "Kick that Dragon into next week," Ember pulled herself out of the hole shaped like her and started laughing.
"Oh this is starting to get fun," She cracked her knuckles "So an old-fashioned two vs one is it?" Lapis looked to Ember, then turned to Spinel and offered her a hand, Spinel shook it in confusion when Lapis grasped her hand and pulled her in close, putting her hand around Spinel's waist.
"Whoa," Spinel's face started burning as Lapis looked at her calmly and began spinning her around in a slow dance.
"This is something I've been meaning to try out," Lapis said calmly as she lowered herself down and her nose touched Spinel's, as soon as their noses met they both turned into light and started becoming one.
"What is happening!?" Pinkie asked in awe as the light started getting bigger.
"Fusion," Peridot replied in shock and awe. They all watched as they started getting Bigger, keeping Spinel's basic body shape, it seemed to be just making a larger version of Spinel as the arms formed, then a second set of arms came out around the midsection. her hair was short like Lapises but was longer on either side and pointed out a little like Spinels ponytails. After a moment the form settled as the new Fusion stood before them all, She was wearing Spinels pants with Lapis's top and ribbon, The top set of arms and legs had Spinels shoes and gloves, and the right shoulder also had Spinels Shoulder pad on it. She had Purple hair, she had one left eye with Spinel's Pupil, and two right eyes on top of each other, the bottom eye was blue while the top eye was purple. The Fusion has crossed eyes for a second before blinking and looking at itself with a smile.
"Well now," She said looking down at Ember clenching one of her fists, now being nearly three times her size, easily being able to put her hands on the rooftops of the nearby buildings "Let's see how much you like this fight," Ember was simply staring at the Fusion with sparkles in her eyes.
"I might actually enjoy it," She replied as a pair of water wings came out of the fusions back and it took flight, Ember flying up after her. Peridot and Pinkie were both too busy freaking out over what they had just witnessed.
"Holy mother of Guacamole!" Pinkie screamed out shaking Peridot "You guys can just do that!?"
"I personally don't," Peridot replied as Pinkie shook her. Ember and the Fusion came to a stop about 40 meters above the town and looked at one another.
"Name's Ember," She called out "Don't suppose I could get yours, just in case one of us dies,"
"My name?" The Fusion asked, scratching her cheek with her upper left arm, her two lower crossed themselves while her other upper arm was set on her hip, one of her feet tapping in the air. "A Lapis and a Spinel together would make...Iolite," Iolite smiled at her name and looked to Ember "I am Iolite, time for a fight!" Iolite pulled all four arms back and they all stretched out in attack towards Ember, she dodged the two upper arms but the lower set grabbed her legs, Ember tried to breathe their grasp only for the two upper arms to grow in size and grab her entire body, the four arms all swirled together and with a smile, Iolite spun Ember in the air and swung her spinning arms up, Ember came to a stop disoriented form the rapid spin and was let go for a second before being flipped upside down and being grabbed again, Iodile's wings dissipated and They dropped with Iolite laughing out as they fell.
"Falling Star Piledriver!" She said as she hit the ground with her feet, leaving a large crater in the ground before slamming Ember headfirst into the ground. She let go and Ember was planted firmly upside down, she was still for a moment before she moved and found a footing, she pulled herself out and shook her head, looking to Iolite just in time to be grabbed again.
"I Spin you round and round," Iolite sang as she began spinning like a top, swinging Ember around just over the top of the buildings "All around Pony town, and when you hit the ground..." Iolite let go and Ember was released just in time for one of Iolites other arms to swat her in the face, sending her flying back and skidding across the ground "...You'll wish you hadn't stuck around!" Iolite laughed as she came to a stop. Ember lay on the ground before picking herself up, her eyes swirling in their sockets.
"This is great," She said as she got back to her feet "My turn!" Ember flew at Iolite. Pinkie and Peridot waited for Iolite to attack Ember but she simply stood her ground and let Ember get in close. Ember spun in the air and kicked Iolite in the face with as much force as she could muster, Iolite flung back, her feet still firmly planted in her crater, and she extended all of her arms and formed fists with her wings as she came rocketing back at Ember, who managed to dodge all of her normal arms, she was almost caught by the water limbs but she let out a blast of fire, not enough to get rid of them, but enough to let her pass through them.
Iolite snapped out of the ground and spun in the air, landing on her feet she spun like a wheel and rolled at Ember, her water wings swirling on either side, cutting into the ground as she picked up speed, Ember flew away from the spinning attack and blasted Fire at Iolite, who bounced up, coming out of her ball form and sent her water wings after Ember. As the two continued fighting Applejack arrived being carried by Bismuth, who had found Applejack on the ground after coming to investigate Spinel.
"Twisted ankle," Applejack said as she raised her front left leg "Found another one of Spinels landing sights," Applejack and Bismuth looked to the fight and went slack. "Where did she come from!?" Applejack demanded looking at the new gem "And how am I supposed to fit her in the barn?"
"Is that Lapis and Spinel!?" Bismuth asked with a shine in her eyes "That's amazing!"
"Applejack," Pinkie said motioning to the fight "That is Iolite, the fusion of Spinel and Lapis, they can just do that and never told me!
"Yeah great so, new question, how do we even stop this!?" Applejack watched as Iolite stretched her neck to avoid Ember's attack and proceeded to wrap her torso around Ember. Suddenly, with a little snap of her fingers, Peridot jumped off Pinkies back and ran towards the fight before taking a deep breath and screaming out.
"Paulette sucks!"
"What?" Iolite demanded, dropping Ember and walking towards Peridot in great offence, getting on her hands and knees and looking down at Peridot, her Spinel eye now boasting an extra layer of pupil. "Perry you're just blind to her genius," Iolite was about to say something else when she suddenly turned to light and Split into Lapis and Spinel. Lapis landed on her side and Spinel spun onto her feet.
"Paulette is just playing them!" Spinel said angrily. Lapis got up and then walked over to Ember, offering the dragoness her hand.
"How about we call it a tie and, so long as you promise to never try and eat us, we can do this again sometime,"
"Your dam right we're doing this again," Ember cheered shaking Lapises hand "I'll call all the dragons together when I get back home and make it law that they can't eat talking Gems, Oh and tell the Spinel I'm sorry for my Tasty comment, I haven't eaten all day and she's just a little too tempting," Ember turned on the spot, patted herself down and declaird her intentions to get some actual food before walking away, seemingly unphased by the fight she had just taken place in. Lapis walked back to Spinel and Peridot and got their attention.
"We've called a truce, The Dragons will be forbidden from eating us so long as we visit and fight that blue dragon every now and again,"
"Excellent work everyone," Spinel declared proudly "We've brought peace to the world," Spinel grabbed Lapis "Oh and that Pink Pony over there is Pinkie Pie, Hey Pinkie, Lapis and Perridot need whistles,"
"I already have one," Peridot declared, showing off her Teddy bear whistle.
"Bismuth I want your fish whistle," Lapis called out.
"Oh," Bismuth pulled it out of her gem then look to Pinkie "Mind if I trade this in for a new one?" Pinkie reached into her mane and pulled out a frog whistle.
"Bismuth keep the fish," Lapis amended instantly "I want the frog,"
"Alright then," Bismuth said putting her whistle back as Pinkie handed Lapis the Frog.
"This has been a great day," Spinel said happily as Lapis tossed the whistle into her water wings and used them to store it in her gem"Who wants to come watch some Camp Pining hearts, we have infinite soda and Popcorn,"
"I'm all kinds of in," Pinkie declared immediately, Applejack just shook her head as Bismuth picked her up.
"So how's the barn going?" She asked casually.
"Going good, oh and Spinel your helping me install a skylight where you jumped through the ceiling," the group all made their way back to the apple farm, Spinel and Peridot both attempting to get Pinkie on their side with Lapis backing Spinel and Bismuth saying she hadn't actually watched the show yet.
"This is gonna be so much fun," Pinkie said happily.
The Barn was full of noise as the Gems all sat around the T.V with Applejack and Pinkie Pie.
"You've gotta be joking," Peridot cried out as both she and Spinel look at Bismuth with disbelief. Bismuth took another bite of her popcorn before replying.
"Your both wrong," Bismuth said simply "Clearly all the campers are being played by the counselors, You say Paulette put the hole in the boat to distract Percy, and you say Percy did it so Paulette would own him, but neither of them had life jackets, the Councils meanwhile just gave a big lecture about Boat safety and Life jackets, and oh, look at that, four episodes later every creatures wearing a lifejacket," Bismuth took a sip of her soda before concluding "Percy, Pierre, Paulette, every last one of them are just mice blindly trying to find cheese in a maze filled with lettuce, that's why no one ever comes out on top, the games are rigged,"
"I can't believe this," Spinel said angrily as she slurped down her soda "Paulette is a genius, she's setting them all up, the life jackets missing in both boats were just part of her plan,"
"What plan?" Bismuth countered "She lost them both the race, and now she owes Percy,"
"exactly, Percy thinks she owes him, and she, in turn, uses it to drive a wedge in his friendship with Pierre,"
"I don't understand this show," Pinkie noted, instantly drawing Peridot and Spinel to her.
"Man they are crazy for this show," Bismuth chuckled before sipping on her soda Kind of reminds me of the old days she pondered silently But neither one of them remember who they use to be, 'Lapis' and I are still us, but who knows how long we have before we forget to... Bismuth stopped sipping her soda and patted Lapis on the back to get her attention. "I wanna talk to you, in private about...things," Lapis shrugged and both she and Bismuth snuck away to the truck bed sticking out above the barn door.
"Yes, I Remember everything Billie," Lapis said simply "But please, I'm just starting to get used to this so never call me...that other name ever again, Lapis is all the Me I need to be,"
"Your not...concerned?"
"What, concerned about forgetting my abusive father, forgetting the years I spent in college only to end up as a Minimum wage Fry-cook with Student loan debt, No...No I am not concerned, frankly I've never been happier in my entire life," Lapis looked over at Bismuth and frowned "Now, am I concerned about you forgetting? Yes, You actually had a good life, and I wouldn't be surprised if you only came here cause you thought you were worried about Lee, But admit it, no bills, no taxes, We all have super powers, you're getting to build what's basically your dream home," Lapis chuckled "Even if you were offered a way home you wouldn't take it, the only problem with this place is the, forgetting yourself thing,"
"Why yes," A third voice agreed, the two looked over and found Discord glaring at them "A problem you idiots created yourself,"
"You," Bismuth said irritably "I wanna have a word with you,"
"Funny," Discord chuckled "I wanted the same," Discord snapped and both Lapis and Bismuth were sitting on his couch, "But by all means, have your words first,"
"Our friends have no memories of who they used to be," Lapis said angrily, only for Discord to tsk.
"And do tell, how was I supposed to know any of you weren't who you were supposed to be, Spinel gets a pass, she made a conscious choice to bury her past and embrace being Spinel, and in the end when she realized she was forgetting she embraced it she wanted Lee to be erased and fully became Spinel, your friends Cindy did the same, but you two haven't forgotten because you don't want to, at least not fully," Discord snapped a chair into existence and sat before them.
"Simply put, your friends Lee was sucked into my Realm, and there was no Equestrian Counterpart for him, so his imagination took hold, and I guess Spinel was the last thing on his mind before he fell into the Vortex, and you three all took the form of your Favorite, Gem, because of that, but when you played along when you didn't tell me you were in the wrong bodies, you left yourself open to the full transformation,"
"Well, how were we supposed to know that," Bismuth countered.
"Well, how was I?" Discord snapped back angrily "You never told me, I only found out when I went into your world to learn more about your kind, and I found out it was a world of Humans, not Gems, How was I suppose to prevent a problem if I didn't know it was ever a feasible possibility?" Discord took a deep breath and put his hands together "I can't 'fix' your friends, they let themselves become the character and thus they lost who they use to be, and if that's what you two want then by all means my front door is right there, but if you two want to Rember just sit there, and I'm making it so you can't lose yourselves," Lapis looked to Bismuth, who frowned at her.
"Fine," Lapis groaned "I'll keep my stupid memories, There...there are some things I kinda wanna remember," Bismuth Smiled and Discord snapped his fingers.
"I do apologize about your friends," Discord said "I simply caught on to your lie too late to help them, do enjoy the rest of your lives, which I hear are very long since your gems now," Discord snapped again and both Lapis and Bismuth were back in the bed of the truck, they sat there for a long moment before Bismuth smiled.
"I always knew you had a thing for Lee,"
"What the F-" Lapis was cut off by Bismuth laughing at her.
"Oh sorry, Spinel, although between you and me, Cindy called you out on it years ago, deny all you want there's no logical reason for you to side with him as often as you do, Lee might not have caught on but-"
"Shut up," Lapis demanded "Fusion is a psychical manifestation of a relationship, and Lee is gone there's only Spinel. And so what if I'm a little fond of Spinel, we don't have Genders so Technically I can't be straight because there's no opposite for me to be attracted to," Bismuth simply smiled at Lapis.
"Spinel," Lapis cried out "Me and you Fusing was just a one-time thing, in the moment and what not,"
"Ah you will come back," Spinel shot back "Once you get a taste of Spinel you ain't ever gonna be able to fuse without thinking about me,"
"What?" they heard Applejack ask in confusion "Wait, what exactly is Fusion? Because your making it sound like you shouldn't be doing it in a public area,"
"Oh, I can explain," Spinel said simply.
"No," Lapis said at once "I'll explain it," Lapis flew into the barn and Bismuth jumped out of the Truck bed and followed her back inside.
"Oh yes," Bismuth "By all means go ahead, I'll fact check,"
Bismuth was hard at work, having set up the new flight entrance on the second floor of the barn and finished repairing the Spinal shaped hole in the ceiling she was now in the process of installing door hinges while Applejack lent a hoof and secured her a door that matched the rest of the aesthetic of the barn.
The Sound of laughter could be heard inside as Spinel and Peridot joined together for a rare moment of watching Camp Pining hearts without arguing over who was playing who.
"Honestly," Bismuth muttered as she shook her head and reflected on her stance of the camp counselors being the masterminds, "The show's just badly written and we're trying to fill in the plot holes with our own personal theories," Bizmuth thought on the idea for a moment before shrugging "Eh, at least it's fun," Bismuth took a step back to admire the now fully installed Door hinge before turning her attention instead to where she was planning to make the outside dining area.
A line had been drawn in the dirt to mark where she would install the fence. "A small metal fence would probably work best," She decided after a moment "Mostly just there for the aesthetics, as for the actual eating area I think I'll dig about half a meter into the ground and fill it in with cement for a lovely Concrete Patio to place the table and chairs on, maybe a smaller area so we can set up a grill so we can try some of those...what were they called? Hay-burgers maybe?"
As Bismuth waited for Applejack to return with the door by trying to plan out the outside area fully Spinel bounded out of the barn, with Peridot having gone off to spend some time on her tablet. Spinel Took a big sip from her soda cup before just eating the entire container to avoid having to carry the empty cup to the slightly out-of-her-way trash bin.
"Ah, now where's my girl Lapis?"
"I'm not your girl," Lapis called out from above, Spinel looked up and saw Lapis flying in the air trying to master the art of commanding clouds with limited success.
"Not what I meant, but since we're now on that subject," Spinel extended her legs and shot up to the same elevation as Lapis before stretching her neck out to Lapis so as to speak to her without the need to shout "Admit it, even though it hasn't been all that long your waters just boiling to become Iolite again,"
"Not even a little," Lapis said in a calm tone, Spinel's smile only grew wider at the words "What?"
"Your face is practically glowing red," Spinel informed. The Two stared at one another for a moment before Lapis turned her wings into hands and used them to grab Spinel and slam her into the ground. "You can Lie but your face can't," Spinel managed to say before hitting the ground. Spinel pulled herself back together as Lapis began walking down the dirt road and Spinel bounced after her. "Come on, just a quicky?" Spinel stuck her tongue out and it was in turn grabbed by Lapis, her face now redder.
"Never. Say. That. Again," Lapis demanded before letting go and continuing down the road "Come on, it's clear your just gonna follow me around all day so let's at least go to Sugar cube corner and eat our weight in sugar,"
"Oh Lapis, you do know you're supposed to take me out on a date before the fun not after right?"
"Shut up," Lapis shot back "Stop trying to make something out of nothing,"
"I was all up in your head Lapis, I'm trying to make something out of something!" Spinel spun around Lapis as she spoke "Admit it, you're interested in my unique physic," Spinel spun her arms around into a tight spring before letting them spin at high speeds, kicking up a cloud of dirt as she did so "It's alright you can stare I don't mind,"
"How about we talk about this later," Lapis offered.
"Alright," Spinel said as she shot her head forward and pressed her cheek against Lapises "How about tonight, under the stars, with a picnic of Popcorn and Soda?"
"How about you drop the subject and we talk when I feel like talking?" Lapis counter offered.
"Hey whatever works," Spinel replied with a shrug. "We talk later and I've already secured a second date,"
"You need to have had a first date for there to be a second genius,"
"I know, good thing we're going on one now right?" Lapis glared at Spinel, who just slid to a stop, wiggling her eyebrows at Lapis with a smug smirk.
"It's not a date," Lapis said sternly as she tried to stamp out Spinel's passion.
"Oh? So you're going to be paying your half of the bill then?" Spinel stood her ground smugly as Lapis came to a halt, the two had a long stare down before Lapis turn away with a huff.
"I don't have any money," She mumbled in defeat.
"Oh, so what I'm hearing is you want your Sugar Mama to sweep in and buy you some sweets?" Lapis groaned as Spinel bounced forward to be at her side. "Come along my dear Tsunami Lapis,"
"Tsuna....what?" Lapis turned to Spinel with great offense only to find she had started bouncing ahead of her. Lapis took flight and flew after Spinel.
"What? You're a mighty wall of water," Spinel chuckled as she left a large crater in her wake and turned into a pink wheel as she cartwheeled at high speeds to Sugar Cube Corner with Lapis in tow.
"Never call me that again," Lapis called out angrily as Spinel shot off into the distance.
Spinel easily outpaced Lapis, and Lapis in turn decided to hang back to let herself cool off and get rid of the red on her cheeks. Spinel Laughed as she Spun into town, having too much fun in what she mistook for Lapis trying to catch her to pay much attention to the road. At high speeds Spinel hit a wall of fur face first, her arms shot out and she wrapped around it before looking up to see she had landed face first both with her own face and with the creature's face.
"It's a Bear," She noted before it raised to its full height "A very big bear," She amended as she slunk down and hung around its neck like a tie before it shot into the air, angrily roaring at her as it took flight "A very big flying bear," She amended one final time before tightening her grip as it began rolling around in the air in an attempt to be rid of her. As Spinel and the Bug Bear flew in the air Twilight, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie arrived on the scene.
"Word has it another Bug Bear is on a rampage," Rainbow said as she led her friends to the Monster's last reported location.
"Fluttershy said those Lumber Ponies are intruding on their breeding grounds," Pinkie called out. Twilight stood at the front of the group, ready to take the fight to the bear, only for her to hear a very recognizable voice scream out as it slammed into the ground.
"This is worse than that time Applejack killed me," Spinel noted, her eyes bouncing around in their sockets as she desperately tried to remove herself from the bear, only to cry out in outrage "You idiot you knotted my arms around your neck," The Bug Bear began violently flailing to the alarm of his new necktie Spinel "Heel, you're gonna choke yourself out with my arms if you keep doing that," as Spinel attempted to remain with a wild animal Twilight simply shook her head.
"What a surprise, the pink monsoon returns, and this time she's brought a bear,"
"What kind of nickname is Pink Monsoon?" Spinel demanded angrily "Also this guy was already here before I got here, I just body-checked him and now we're all tangled up," The Bug Bear continued violently shaking Spinel around and she called out "Someone unknot my arms before I become a murder weapon," The Bug Bear began violently rolling around with Spinel trying with all her might to get enough of a foothold to elongate her arms and pull the knot out from around the Bug Bears neck. Twilight lit her horn and tried to hold the large creature in place only for it to force its way through the magic.
"I hate the big ones," She muttered angrily "They move too spatially to reliably contain," Rainbow Dash took the scenic route as Twilight tried to think of a good way to hold the bear down, Rainbow latched onto the back of the bear's neck and started biting at the knot.
"Can't we just pop you?" Rainbow called out.
"You pop me and I'm popping you in the face," Spinel shot back "Dying hurts,"
"Between the two of you the Bear can walk it off way less easily than you could," Rainbow countered "Heck I'll let you pop me one if it means we can end this faster," Before Spinel could agree to her own murder a pair of water fists grabbed the Bug Bear and suplexed it and all it's riders. With the Bear temporarily contained Spinel flipped herself over into a sitting position and looked up at Lapis, who just looked frustrated.
"Why?" Lapis requested of Spinel "Just...why?"
"I found a bear," Spinel replied helpfully "A very big flying bear,"
"How did you go from a date with me to wrestling a bear?" Lapis demanded, adding more detail in the hope for a better answer from Spinel "I left your side for three minutes at best,"
"It was in the road," Spinel replied as she tried to untie her arms only to realize the bear was the wrong way up for her to slide out from around its neck "Hold up, I gotta untangle my arms," Spinel tried lifting her arms up only to be grabbed by Lapis who sighed.
"I don't trust you not to make this more difficult than it needed to be so-" Lapis put her arms around Spinel's waist and picked her up, spinning a little and wrapping herself in her arms, Spinel put her forehead against Lapis's in response and the two turned into pure light.
Twilight rushed to Rainbow's side, Pinkie was following them but came to a halt when she saw Spinel turn to light, her eyes grew wider and she grinned from ear to ear.
"Ow," Rainbow decided as she lay on her back and also spied the glowing arms turn to light and pull themselves back in, "Who killed Spinel?" She pondered in confusion as Twilight helped her to her hooves only for Pinkie to slide in and grab the both of them with excitement.
"It's Iolite," Pinkie cheered, Twilight was about to ask what Pinkie was talking about when the Bug Bear was lifted up by a Giant of a Gem, she just stared at it dumbfounded as it easily threw the Bug Bear into the horizon, leaving in unconscious in the grassy area just outside of Ponyville.
"Why Hello again," Iolite greeted Pinkie "You seem excited to see little old me," Iolite snickered "Welp, sorry wish I could stay but I was just here to untie Spinel so," Iolite shrugged and Split back into her two component Gems. Lapis stood red-faced as she held Spinel in her arms, who chuckled as Lapis took a deep breath and chose to ignore the ponies and walked to Sugarcube Corner
"Hey Pinkie," Spinel called out "We're on a date come and be our waitress!"
"No we're not," Lapis called back before quickly adding "But do come be our server I can't handle new people and Spinel at the same time,"
