Fluttershy dreams of being goddess of the universe, and tonight those dreams come true!

Fluttershy wants to be goddess of the universe, so tonight at a full moon, during a solar eclipse, during the solstice of fall to autumn, she will perform a ritual to follow through with it. But will it work?

... Yes.

Have fun reading this horribly cliche story. It was fun to write!

Fluttershy's Ascension

It was a shiny happy day in the Everfree Forest. It was all green and pretty and birdies chirped and the big bears ran around and eagles danced with the fishies and all was nice and pretty and peaceful. Until the fire nation attacked! Then the whole forest caught on fire and everything burned to death!

As the dreadful fire spread throughout the forest, all the small woodland creatures could do was watch as their family members ran around with fire burning them, and cry as they died. Many evil fire nation ponies sat by and laughed at their sorrow, maniacal laughter as they set more trees and things on fire too!

It was all so horrible! Far away, spying on the smoke, was Fluttershy in her cottage. She thought that Mr. Bear was having a barbeque with his raccoon neighbors and went back to sewing a sweater for her bunny Angel.

She had spent many days gathering the precious golden fleece for her Angel’s sweater, because he only deserved the best! Besides, he needed to be nice and plump when the time came for the harvest. Oh yes.

She grinned, a dark shadow passing over her face. Yes... it was almost time indeed. The season was changing from fall to autumn, and the time for the great Bunny Bonfire had almost arrived. She would soon gather with her pony cultist brothers and sisters to partake in the drinking of bunny blood.

Setting down her sewing, she walked along the sidewalk to Ponyville, passing by several of her friends, who were clueless to the ritual that was to take place at midnight on the solstice. On a full moon. During a solar eclipse. For then, and only then, would the Great Pony Ones rise from their slumber to bless the bunny flesh, and give Fluttershy the power to become an Alicorn like she always dreamed of.

Fluttershy flapped her strong wings and rose into the air, gazing down on Ponyville beneath her. Pathetic, sniveling ponies, living in fear of the shadows. Of her! It was true, all the ponies feared her and her great power, and soon they would be shown the truth behind their fears. For tonight was the solstice, on the full moon. Tonight at midnight, during the solar eclipse, would the time come for Fluttershy to become Solstice Eclipse, Goddess of Night and Day, Overlord of Equestria, and Master of All Things Cute and Fluffy.

Letting out a maniacal laugh, Fluttershy caught a simpleton pony staring at her- Well, with one eye at least. “Hey, derp face!” She shouted to the grey pegasus. “What do you think you’re looking at?!”

“Oh, gee Fluttershy.” Spoke the offending pegasus. “I just don’t know what went wrong!” She frowned apologetically, before promptly tripping over the curb of the sidewalk and landing on her face.

“Of course you didn’t, Derpy! You never do, you pathetic excuse for a pegasus!” Fluttershy huffed, making a mental note to feed Derpy to the manticores as soon as she summoned them from Tartarus.

Storming away before the other pony could answer, Fluttershy marched to Sugarcube Corner, pushing past the few ponies in line to stand at the counter in front of Pinkie Pie. “Oh, hi Fluttershy.” Moaned Pinkie, used to seeing her friend cut in line all the time. “Let me guess...”

“I’d like two of those special Rainbow cupcakes you make, Pinkie!” Fluttershy said with a voice as smooth as sandpaper.

“Oh, I’m sorry, Fluttershy. We ran out of ingredients for those yesterday, and I don’t think that I’ll ever be able to catch another Rain- I mean restock ever again.” Pinkie Pie cleared her throat awkwardly and slammed her hoof on the counter for no discernible reason. “But I do have...”

“NO!” Screeched Fluttershy, rising into the air on her strong wings. “YOUR OVERLORD DEMANDS IT! IT SHALL BE DONE!” With a roar of rage, Fluttershy crushed Pinkie with the sheer power of her will, then trotted happily out the door.

“Miss Fluttershy!” Yelled Fluttershy’s young British assistant. “I didn’t know you had stopped in Canterlot!” He trotted up to meet the pegasus, who nodded.

“I strike without warning, young Steven. Like the plague.” She acknowledged his arrival. “Now, young Steven. Is Glimmering Beauty in her mansion in Canterlot Gardens?”

“Uh, yes, I believe so, your Soon-To-Be-Alicorn-ness.” He bowed his head and backed away as Fluttershy flew up to the door of the mansion.

“Ah!” Said a young, beautiful, smart, wonderful, clever, kind, caring alicorn as she answered the door. “So wonderful to see you. I trust that you’ve been well? I haven’t seen you since I singlehoofedly eliminated the Manticore threat in Zebrica when I was just a filly.” Her beautiful, golden-and-black mane flowed in the breeze. Her zebra stripes ran up and down her body, including her wings and horn. Her coat was a shimmering golden color, enhancing her beauty as she swayed in the evening breeze.

“I remember that. Fun times to be had.” Fluttershy nodded. “I make my entrance now.” She shoved her way into her friend’s house.

Inside the house was the usual crowd; Princess Celestia and Luna, Discord, Darth Vader, and other, less important people like the pope.

Fluttershy brushed her mane back and sat in a chair as her alicorn friend poured tea for all of her guests. Darth Vader already had some, so she skipped him. “So...” She asked. “What brings you to my humble abode? It nears evening. Shouldn’t you and the Solstice Eclipsions be preparing for the ritual tonight? How is Angel doing? Is he ready for the harvest?”

Fluttershy raised a hoof, silencing her friend. “Yes. He is ready. The Eclipsions are preparing the reagents in the Everfree Forest. I came to ask a favor of you.” She placed her teacup on the table, turning to Princess Celestia. “Of course, for my ascension, we’re going to need more than just a little bunny...”

=========================================================

It was time.

The time had finally come for Fluttershy to take her rightful place at the head of Equestrian government, to become the one they all bowed to and respected... and FEARED! It was time for her to become Solstice Eclipse, Goddess of Night and Day, Overlord of Equestria, and Master of All Things Cute and Fluffy.

She led two alicorns deep into the Everfree Forest, Glimmering Beauty on her left and Princess Celestia on her right. They travelled deeper and deeper into the dark woods until they came upon an altar, with dark hooded unicorns surrounding it.

“Friends! Subjects!” Fluttershy announced as she stepped in front of the altar, lowering her dark hood as she looked upon the crowd. “The time has come for me to take my rightful place, at the head of the Equestrian government! To become the one you all will bow to and respect... and FEAR!”

Cheers rose from the crowd as Fluttershy turned to face the altar behind her, motioning for Celestia to walk up beside her.

Celestia complied, still wondering what all this stuff was about as she stepped up onto the altar. “Fluttershy... what is this all about? I’m still wondering.” She mumbled, looking down around at the crowd below her.

“This...” Fluttershy spoke softly. “This is where you die and I, the phoenix, rise in your ashes!” The pegasus soon-to-be-alicorn rose onto her hind legs, laughing maniacally as lightning flashed behind her.

It was over quickly, Fluttershy standing above the lifeless body of their former queen, the solar eclipsed full moon of the solstice straight above her, as she held the bloody sacrificial knife in her mouth.

The sky turned blood red, then flashed back. A strange white glow enveloped the pegasus pony and she rose into the air, wings unfolding and a regal, yellow horn forming on her head. She landed on the ground next to the dead body of the former princess, using her newfound magic to lift the bloodstained crown from her head.

“THIS!” She yelled. “THIS, SUBJECTS! IS THE DAWN OF A NEW AGE! THE AGE OF DARKNESS AND BLOOD AND FEAR! THE SUN ON THE AGE OF MORTAL FLUTTERSHY HAS SET, AND RISEN ON A NEW AGE!” She grinned, flapping her now larger wings and rearing onto her hind legs. “This is the age of Solstice Eclipse, Goddess of Night and Day! Overlord of Equestria! Master of All Things Cute and Fluffy!”

She flipped her mane back and raised a hoof. “Now! The bunnies! It is time for a feast fit for a queen!”
