Prologue
"Master Yen Sid, you asked me to come," A young boy with blonde hair asks the old Keyblade Master who was looking out of the window of his tower.
"Ah Roxas, I didn't expect you to be here until tomorrow. No matter, now that you're here I would like to talk to you about a few things regarding Sora," Yes Sid tells the young boy.
"You don't have to remind me of what happened to him back on the Destiny Islands. Ever since he disappeared everyone has been looking for him day and night. Don't even get me started on what Kairi's been up to. She's still a wreck after the incident with Sora disappearing after they got back from wherever her heart was" Roxas says as he looks at his hand.
Ever since Sora disappeared, Roxas and the other Keyblade wielders apart from Kairi have been looking through every single world that Sora has ever visited with Donald and Goofy, but sadly they didn't get any clues to the whereabouts of Sora.
"Roxas that is not what I was going to talk about. This is something that you, Ventus, Xion and Namine must know about Sora that no one knows apart from myself and a dear friend of mine. We have kept this secret from Sora ever since he came to the Destiny Islands seventeen years ago." Yen Sid says as he sits down in his chair and summoning another chair for Roxas to sit on.
"What do you mean by Sora coming to the Destiny Islands seventeen years ago? Wasn’t he born there?" Roxas asks the old master.
"That is what we wanted him believe. However, before I say anything further, what I will say must never-" Yen Sid begins, but pauses in brief confusion as he hears the door to his study being banged on. Both he and Roxas watch the door before it suddenly opens, revealing two more boys, one that is identical to Roxas, but wearing different clothes and one who was being carried by the first. The second boy had black hair and was only wearing red and black trousers with matching coloured shoes.
"Master Yen Sid sorry for interrupting you and Roxas, but this is important!" The boy that was identical to Roxas said as he pointed to the other boy, "I found Vanitas laying on the ground in the Land of Departure thinking that he was spying on Aqua, Terra and I, but I then noticed that he wasn’t moving, and the first thought that came into my mind was to bring him here, since you could explain why he's back, since I saw him disappear at the Keyblade Graveyard."
Looking at the boy with black hair—no Vanitas, Yen Sid noticed that he was breathing and alive. However, as Ventus told him, Vanitas should be dead, since he perished during the events that happened in the Keyblade Graveyard.
"I do not know how Vanitas is alive Ventus, but it leads to my suspicion about what happened to Sora" Yen Sid says before continuing, "It seems that those people that have either been a part of him or have been in his heart are coming back."
In that moment Vanitas suddenly wakes up, jumps off of Ventus’ shoulder and summons Void Gear into his right hand as he, but he then remembers what happened at the Graveyard and looks at Ventus.
"I thought I died and how come there are two Ventuses here old man?" Vanities asked Yen Sid, who doesn't even flinch after the "old man" comment that Vanities just said.
"I do not know how you have returned Vanities, but I can explain why there are two Ventuses. Ventus went into Sora's Heart, and just two to three years ago Sora used a dark keyblade to bring back Kairi's heart back to her body so she could wake up. However, the Keyblade he used split him into a Heartless and Nobody. The Nobody then took the appearance of Ventus, minus the clothes and personality.” Yen Sid said as he pointed to an armed Roxas, who already had Oblivion and Oathkeeper summoned in his hands, ready to fight
"Well that's good to hear, old man. Now the million munny dilemma is how and why I’m back from the dead." Vanitas said as he dismissed his keyblade.
"Vanitas, as I said earlier, I do not know how you are back, and neither why, but that can be saved for later. For now, I would suggest going through that door so you may have a full set of matching clothes,” Yen Sid told him. Vanitas shrugged and went in the room with Ventus following. “This isn't a place to fight, Roxas," Yen Sid informed Roxas, causing the former Nobody to dismiss his keyblades.
"It seems that this conversation will now include Vanitas and Ventus, but no matter. All I can say is that my friend's niece's parents in law have to get a bigger house if you, Ven, Xion, Vanities and Namine where to visit," Yen Sid said, confusing Roxas.
Shortly after Yen Sid said that, Vanitas and Ventus came back from the room with Vanitas wearing a new set of clothes that looked like they were made by the three fairies. He was now wearing an armoured white jacket with black and red lines and a gray shirt with Void Gear's keychain on it, he was also wearing on his right arm a black and purple gauntlet.
"Now then, everyone that’s here is here. Now, I'll explain to you three about my suspicions on what has happened to Sora after he disappeared." Yen Sid said as he pulled out a small caramel feather that looked the same colour as Sora's skin. "It all started when Sora was born with a twin sister. Roughly two or three days later they found that his sister was absorbing the excess magic that he was born with." Yen Sid began before he heard Roxas cough. "Is something the matter Roxas?"
"You said that Sora has a twin sister and that he had magic when he was born? Is there something that we're missing, Master Yen Sid?" Roxas asks Yen Sid.
"Yes, Sora does have a sister, and outside of the world of his birth, no one except keyblade wielders and those specifically trained can do magic. Also, he was born as a different species. This feather is his from his youth." Yen Sid says. The three boys in the room look at him with shock in their faces.
"Sora was born as a pegasus in a world inhabited by Ponies and other creatures. For some background, there are three primary tribes of ponies. There are Earth Ponies, which have a deep magical connection to the land, making them very strong and exceptional farmers. Then there are the pegasi. They have a strong magical connection to the sky, allowing them to manipulate the weather of their world. Lastly are the unicorns. They have the most flexible access to magic, sometimes called ‘Connection to the Stars.'' Sora's Twin sister was of this tribe, but roughly a year or so ago, she ascended to a fourth, more rare pony tribe. The Alicorn tribe has a combination of the other three tribes’ magic and are seen as royalty.” Yen Sid said as he looked at the confused and shocked looks on the three boys’ faces.
"This will be a long explanation for these three" Yen Sid thought to himself as he pulls out a map.
On the streets of Manehattan, a young pegasus pony with caramel coat and brown, spiky mane and tail, and a silver crown for a cutie mark started to wake up from unconsciousness. Slowly opening his eyes, the young Pony looked at his right hoof and then to his left hoof, seemingly confused. He took a few minutes to look himself over and take stock of his condition.
"Where am I?" The young pegasus asked himself as he finally got up onto his hooves. He looked around to see that he's in some kind of modern city. He looked around from his current position and seeing the lights adore almost every street sign reminded the young Pegasus about a world he visited during his last adventure. "This place looks so similar to San Fransokyo." He said out loud before he started to trot around the place.
As the Pegasus walked around, he began to feel a strange feeling in his mind as if this world was familiar, somehow. Shrugging he continued walking until he came up to a train station. Looking at the sign it showed that the city is called Manehattan. As he looked around the booths and the scheduled trains, he saw two trains scheduled for Canterlot and Ponyville. The familiar feeling came back again, but stronger, urging him to go to either one location or the other. He began looking through his pocket, but found that he was lacking in Items, Keychains, Phone, and Munny. The worry was very obvious on his face, causing the Ticket Stallion in one of the nearby booths to take notice.
"Is everything alright there, sir?" The stallion asked the pegasus.
The pegasus jumped a bit, but calmed down when he saw who was speaking. “Oh, I just saw that two trains are heading to Canterlot and Ponyville. For some reason, those names sound familiar and I was hoping to head to one of those places to find out why. It’s just, I had the munny, but it’s just gone.”
"Well kid if you want to go to Canterlot or Ponyville you just need to board whichever train that will leave about fifteen minutes or so and get off when it comes to the corresponding station." The stallion said before adding, "And don't worry about the money. I'll pay for you."
"Thanks Mister. I’ll try Ponyville" The pegasus said as he walked over to a bench and sat on it. A few minutes later, the stallion came back with a ticket to Ponyville in his hoof. He accepted the ticket and walked over to the Ponyville bound train.
“By the way, I’m Master Ticket. What’s your name?” The stallion called out as the train conductor started calling for all to come aboard.
“I’m Sora. I hope to see you again. Thanks again!” The pegasus called back, waving with his hoof.
