Frosty is starting a new school,making new friends, and enemies and even falling in love!
Hi, My name is Frosty, I'm 14 and I'm starting at a new school called CHS. I've made many friends, gotten my first crush and even a few detentions. I'm the newbie in this school, so there's gonna be some drama.
Here's my story
Please note that this will have only 5-6 chapters (6 may be a bonus chapter) And will include specials

I wake to the sound of my EXTREMELY annoying alarm clock ringing, so I get and shut it off. I check the time and it's 6:30, phew, I didn't over sleep. I was super excited for today, why? Because I'm starting at one of the most popular schools, CHS! In my last school I wasn't very popular, but starting today, my luck might change, new school, new me.
Anyway, I went down stairs to get breakfast, sadly, no one was wake, even though it was 6:30. But no biggie, I'll just make cereal. After I had my breakfast, I decided to go wake up my parents, It was around 6:50, so I expected them to be awake, but no, they just had to sleep in!
So I wake them up and they got dressed to take me to school, well my mom did, my dad just went to get coffee.
"Frosty" Mom says, "Can you go wake up your sister?" She said, while looking for her car keys.
"Sure mom" I groan, as I walk upstairs. My little sister is like a NIGHTMARE! She's done many horrible things to me, like steal my phone, try to do my hair and countless others. But I still love her because she's my little sister.
So I walk into her room, and it's a mess! Toys scattered all over the floor, crayons broken on the floor, and see her sleep peacefully in her bed, snuggling her stuffed unicorn. Her white and red mane was a mess and there was drool coming out of her mouth and dripping onto her light pink pillow I creep up to her bed, and then scream "WAKE UP WINTER!!"
She jumps out of her bed, looking like she had just seen a ghost, but I just look at her laughing.
"You scared me Frosty" She say in a baby voice, as she gets out of bed, rubbing her sleepy eyes.
"Sorry sis, now go brush your teeth and come downstairs, breakfast is ready" I say leaving the her room.
"Okay" She say cheerfully.
I walk back down the stairs, and into the kitchen and find my mom setting Winter's bowl of cereal on the dining table.
"Done, let's go now sweetie" She says heading for the door "Is Winter awake yet?" She asks me.
"Yea, she's just in the bathroom getting ready" I say getting my school bag and putting in my lunch
3 seconds later, Winter comes running down the stairs all dressed and looking like a hungry lion, who hasn't had a meal.
"Morning mummy" Say she's rushing past me and into the kitchen where her food is.
"Morning sweetie, Daddy is upstairs go call him when your finished breakfast so he can take you to school, I'm just dropping of Frosty at her new school then I'll be right back, ok?"
"Ok mummy" Winter replied with a mouth-full of cereal, and milk dripping down her chin.
"Bye Winter" I say, waving to her and heading out the door.
"Bye sissy" She says, waving back.
I arrived at school right on time, with minutes to spare. I say goodbye to my mom,and head into the school, and man was it big.
There was a tall white statue of a horse, I'm guessing that's the school mascot or something. The building was dark purple with white stairs and golden horse heads on very corner of the roof
"This school must really like horses" I say to myself. I gaze up at the school for a minute, imagining what my first day is going to be like, then snapping back into reality and walking into the school.
As I'm walking, in I notice all the trophies in a glass case displayed on the side of each wall. And cyan lockers down the hallway, lots of students going about there business, putting stuff away in their lockers, which reminds me, I have to go find out which locker is mine and what classes I'm in.
After I go to the office for all that, I head to my locker to go put my stuff. Locker 365. I walk cautiously through the hallway trying to find my locker, obviously not looking where I'm going, I bumped into someone, causing us to fall down. I quickly get up and offer to help pick up the stuff that she dropped.
"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you" I say.
"It's fine, accidents happen" She says "I'm Sunshine Star, and you are?" She asks while picking up her stuff.
"Frosty Rainbow, but you can call me Frosty" I reply.
"Nice to meet ya Frosty, are you new here?" Sunshine asks
"Yea, first day" I say as we both walk down the hallway.
"Ok, what's your locker number?" She ask me.
"365, yours?"
"363" She says cheerfully
"Cool!" I reply as I notice my locker.I open it and put my stuff inside, so does Sunshine and we continue walking together.
"What class are you in?" I ask her, taking out the paper that I wrote my locker number and daily timetable on.
"Maths with Mrs. Flowerfield" She groans "I hate math class, it's so boring!"
"I have the same class!" I exclaim!
We continue walking to our class in awkward silence when the bell rings and for some reason she starts running down the hallway madly.
"Why are you running?" I ask starting to run too
"Mrs. Flowerfield HATES it when were late, some kid even got detention from it" She say starting to run faster.
"Oh ok" I say catching up to her, finally were there.
We walk in nervously and the whole class is already there, and so is Mrs. Flowerfield.
"Your late." She says bluntly "Detention!" Mrs. Flowerfield says loudly. "But since it is the first day of school, I'll.....let it slide"
I take a seat next to Sunshine and the boring lesson continues. Mrs. Flowerfield was a really strict....and old.
The class ends and I walk to the next class, chemistry. Lucky for me, I was really good at chemistry, so I had high hopes for this class. Our chemistry teacher was really nice, His name was Mr. Hunter. After chemistry was English, another subject I'm really good at. And another really nice teacher, Mrs. Wakefield. What's with all these teachers last names have 'field'?
After English it was lunch, my favorite time of day. For lunch we had veggie burgers with fries, apple juice and for desert we had apple crumble, which was delicious! Since I only knew one person in this school, I sat with Sunshine and her friends. We all became friends real quick, there names were Stormy blue, Sunny star and Galaxy swirl.
Me and Stormy had most of the same classes, which was great! It's only my first day and I've made four best friends! My social life is looking bright.
So after lunch, I had P.E all of my grade was in this class. We were playing football, the sport I'm not really a fan of but am....good at it. I met some new people, and they were really friendly. And the captain of the team, Rainbow dash was really nice to me, and so were her friends!
So first we were split into two teams red team and blue team, I was in blue team with Pinkie pie, Sunny star, Applejack, Neon lights, And some others people who I don't remember their names. Our team lost, sadly, but in my opinion we did pretty good. The score was 3-5 good enough, right?
After P.E I went to go freshen up when Rainbow dash came to talk to me.
"Hey there" Rainbow dash said to me.
"Hi.." I replied, putting down my water bottle.
"Your were pretty good football player, what's your name?" Rainbow dash asked me taking out her water bottle opening it and took a sip.
"Frosty rainbow" I replied, looking at her hair, I noticed we both had rainbow hair. "Hey...uh did ya notice we both have rainbow hair?" I asked still looking at her hair.
"Yeah, that's pretty cool Frosty, say, are you new here?" She asked me again, she was asking a lot of questions, but then again, I'm the new kid so of course people are gonna ask me questions, or at least the people who want to talk to me.
"Yea" I finally answered.
"Anyway, I wanted to ask if you would be interested in joining the football team, were looking for new members" She said taking out a clipboard and a pen.
"Sure, way not?" I say, taking the clipboard and pen and writing my name on the list.
"Thanks" Rainbow dash says cheerfully, "Your pretty cool, wanna hang with me and my friends at the cafe after school today?" She asks putting down the clipboard.
"Sure!" I respond happily "What time?" I ask
"4:30, You know what cafe I'm talking about, right?" She asks me
"Yep! The one that's near the mall" I say, hoping I'm correct.
"Yea, cya then." She say picking up her gym bag and walking out the door.
"Cya." I say right before she leaves.
I pick up my bag, making sure I put all my stuff inside, and walk out. gym was the last lesson of the day, so I go to the parking lot where I find my mom waiting for me inside the car.
"How was your first day Frost?" She asks me as she opens the door for me and I get inside.
"Good, I made some new friends, and Rainbow dash wants me to go hang out with her at the cafe near the mall today." I say fastening my seat belt.
"That's good to hear, do you need me to drop you off or will you take the bus?" She asks me as we drive out of the school gate.
"I think I'll take the bus." I reply
"Ok sweetie, as long as your back before 6:30" She says firmly
"Okay, is Winter home?" I ask praying that's a no
"Yes, I picked her up half an hour ago" She says
Oh c'mon! hope she hasn't gone into my room. I just nod and the rest of the drive is in silence.
When we got home I immediately went to change, and by the time I was done, it was 3:50, so i decided to go and get a snack. I put on my fuzzy multicolored slippers and went down stairs and into the kitchen to get some pretzels. I get my pretzels and go sit on the couch and watch some TV.
20 later, it's time to go so I take of my fuzzy slippers and put on my blue nikes and get my bus money and head out the door.
So I arrived just on time and I see Rainbow dash and her friends all there, so I walk over to them And sit at their table.
"Hey guys" I say waving at them
"Hey there, you must be Frosty, RD told us you were coming" Twilight says
"Yea, nice to meet ya" I say awkwardly
"Nice to mee-" Applejack was cut of
"Can we eat now?!" Pinkie pie say sounding annoyed
"Pinkie! don't be rude" Rarity says
"Sorry, I'm hungry" She says apologetically
"It's fine, I'm hungry too" I say, even tho I just ate before coming here
"Lets order then!" Rainbow dash and Twilight say in unison
After order me and the gang became really close friends of course I hadn't forgotten about my other friends but maybe we could all be friends? Who knows? Now it's 7:30 and I've just had dinner, and now I'm watching some TV with Winter, who surprisingly hasn't done anything naughty.
Anyway all I can say is that I think this is going to be a good year.
It's 6am right now and for some reason I'm up before my alarm, might as well get ready. I get out of bed and head over to my closet to pick out an outfit. Now thing thing I like about my new school, is that we get to wear whatever we want (as long as it's appropriate.) So after a minute of searching I finally decided to wear just my fave t-shirt with some jeans with some sport shoes, which is good enough for me.
After I finish with everything upstairs I come downstairs for breakfast, to my delight my parents are awake, and breakfast has been made, toast, eggs and some hot cocoa, yummy!
As I'm eating my breakfast, my six year old sister, Winter comes screaming down the stairs say "SPIDER! SPIDER! HELLPPPP!!!!" She scram all the way to mom and hid behind her.
"What is it sweetie" Mom asks hugging Winter
"T-there a spider upstairs!" She said hiding behind mom again and pointing upstairs
"Let me go see" Dad said walk up the stairs.
I mean, I get that spiders are scary but you don't have to alert the WHOLE neighborhood! I just rolled my eyes and continued eating my breakfast.
I arrive at school a little early, so I have time to do stuff and not be late for class. I say bye to my mom and walk in, I walk all the way down the hall, to my locker, except there two girls standing in front of it.
"Uhm, could you please move, this is my locker" I say to them in a friendly way
"Why should we listen to you?" the first one said rolling her eyes at me like I was something a dog just coughed up
"I was just asking you to move so I can put my stuff in my locker" I say, hoping this time they listen. But this time, they just ignore me and after a minute of ignoring me they FINALLY move. Typically spoiled high school girls, I thought shaking my head. I put my stuff in my locker, close it and continue walking, since I had some time.
As I'm walking I notice Twilight and Rainbow dash near, what I'm guessing is they're locker, talking about something, so I go over and and talk with them.
"Hey Frosty" Rainbow dash and Twilight say to me waving
"Hi guys" I reply "Whatcha doing?" I ask
"Just scheduling a football team training session" Rainbow says showing me a clipboard with some scribbles on it.
"Ok" I say "Imma head to class, the bell's about to ring" I say walking away from them and in the direction of my next class, art, hopefully...the teacher is nice.
When I got to art class everyone was there, but I wasn't late. Before we did anything, since it was the first week of school we introduced our selves and after that we got to do ANYTHING art related, and I don't think I've mentioned, but I love art! So this was like the best lesson ever! Not to mention that the teacher was amazing as well, I've got to say, I think everyone loved this lesson.
Next lesson was baking, now I'm not really that good of a chef so this lesson was....interesting. Anyway, so I was paired with Pinkie pie, and boy can she bake! We had 3 trays of cupcakes by the time the lesson was over! What kind of superpower does she have? But I've got to say, Pinkie is amazing, she's really funny and now we are really good friends.
The lesson after that was D.T (Design & Technology) And this lesson was really fun. So we were doing a group project and we got to pick our partners, and I choose to work with Galaxy swirl. And I'm glad I did, it's nice working with a friend on these type of things, it may have been a project but it was really fun.
So after that it was lunch time and me and my friends all sat together! But there was someone new at the table, her name was Sunset shimmer. She was pretty cool and funny and we all agreed to hang out this afternoon at place.
So when I stood up to go put my things away, someone bumped into me, which made leftover spaghetti spill on my clothes, And it was n't just anyone, it was the person I encountered this morning! I didn't know what her problem was but she was like:
"Hey! watch wear your going newbie!" She said glaring at me like I was poop
"But you bumped into me!" I yelled at her
"Ugh, whatever I don't wanna talk with newbies" She said rolling her eyes and flips her hair and walks away from me
What just happened? I ask myself and now my shirt is ruined! ugh! I go to the place where they keep the napkins and take one to wipe my shirt and put down my tray. After cleaning up there's still a bit of tomato sauce on my shirt but it was good enough. I walk back to the table my friends were at and they ask me so many questions like where were you? or what happened to your shirt? and then after I explain what happened Rainbow dash and Stormy blue stand up ready to fight someone, but Sunshine and Sunset made sure they sat back down. And then Twi tells me that the girl who spilled spaghetti sauce on me was called Crystal rose. She also said that she is the biggest bully in the school, along with her friend Golden Snow frost.
Just great! The last thing I needed was two mean girls as my enemy. But then of course, every high school has bullies. I mean, what did I even do to them?!?!
Anyways the bell just rang and now I have swimming, and honestly I'm not every good at swimming. And again this is a whole class lesson so all my friends will be there...and all my enemies.
So after swimming it was English then we go home and I've got to say, English is becoming one of my favorite lessons! Today, we got to make up our own characters for a story and write there background story, draw what they look like etc. As Pinkie would say: It was super duper fun! Today may have been a little bad, but somehow the day always gets better. Oh, It's home time! I almost forgot, I'm hanging out with my friends at the mall at 4pm Got to get home fast and hopefully mom's already here.
Another day at CHS. Now it's Wednesday, my favorite day of the week. I wake up go about my daily routine, Breakfast, some weird Winter problem and Now I'm at school.
I arrive early as usual, walk in the building and put my stuff in my locker, and go for a daydream walk around the school. I was so caught up in my daydreaming, that I accidentally (again) bump into someone. I'm praying in my head that it isn't Crystal or her mean best friend, Golden. But no, actually, it's a boy, he has sky blue eyes, a vanilla-ish colour skin and dark brown hair.
"Hey, are you ok?" He says helping me up.
"Y-yea" I stutter. "I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going."
"It's fine." He reassures me. "I'm Jakub dash by the way."
"I'm Frosty rainbow" I say looking down at the ground.
"Nice to meet ya, so I'll see you around?" He asks
I just nod, and with that, he walks away. I stand there for a minute before continuing my walk, only this time, I'm paying attention.
The bell rang and I headed for my first lesson of the day, Maths. I run down the halls, past many people who seem to be in no rush, till I finally arrive at Mrs. Flowerfields class, I was so relived when I was the third person there, no detention for me today Mrs. Flowerfield! Woo Hoo! I sit down at my usual sitting place and I notice that Crystal is in this class too. I'm mostly focusing on the board, but every time I turn around I see Crystal giving me the stink eye, but I know why, for some reason, SHE HATES ME!
After Maths it's baking, finally some food! You see, in baking class, once were done with our treats, we get to eat them! Again, I'm paired up with Pinkie, but it's fine, she's my friend.
So by the end of the lesson, I have flour in my hair and frosting on my cheeks, and our next lesson was English! Reminder: Always pack extra clothes. I quickly rush to the bathroom to clean it up, and when I get to English, I'm late. But hey, at least I'm clean. I sit down and the lesson continues, I'm looking around the classroom to see if anyone i know is here, and yes, the boy I met in the morning....Jakub dash! I probably didn't see him on my first day, but yea he was here.
Finally, it's lunch time, on the menu today, we were having spaghetti with the sauce and veggies, yummy. So I sat with my friends as usual, but they all had a serious look on their face.
"Frosty, Sunshine, Sunny, Galaxy, Stormy we need to tell you something" Sunset said
"Ok, what is it?" I ask a bit worried
"You might not believe us at first but..." Twilight said
What are they talking about? i asked myself
"We.....have...powers" All of them said
"WHAT?!?!" Me and Sunshine said "HOW?!?!"
"Well the whole school already knows so you don't have to keep it a secret" Fluttershy said quietly
"Well, it all happened at camp everfree, long story short, we found this cool rocks that give us these amazing powers" Rainbow dash said proudly showing off her necklace
"Ohh, so that's why you all have matching necklaces" Galaxy and Sunny said in unison
"Yep!" Pinkie pie said
"Do you think we might get powers too?" I ask eagerly
"I don't think so, but only time will tell" Twilight said
"Ok" I say, sounding disappointed
Lunch is over, and the next lesson is P.E so we all go change, on the way there I somehow mange to bump into Jakub dash, again!
"Woah there, we really got to stop bumping into each other" He says helping me up
"Y-yea" I say awkwardly, "Sorry, I'm just really clumsy" I say laughing nervously
"It's fine" He says kindly, "I'll see you later" He say waving back to me while walking to the boys changing room
"Bye" I say waving back
I turn around to see all my friends smiling at me.
"So, who was that? your boyfriend?" Sunshine and Sunset say teasingly
"Noo!" I say "We are just friends!"
"Okk~" Twilight says with a smirk
"Whatever" I mumble.
We continue walking to the changing rooms, we change and head onto the field. First we all run a lap, then we do some stretching and when we were stretching, I noticed the Jakub was staring at me and when I looked at him he looked away, then I looked away, and he kept staring!
Once the 'easy' stuff was done, we moved on to football. The coach told us there was a big tournament coming up, and we needed players, so she was gonna make us play and see who was good enough.
So after the match, coach said she was going to tell us who made the team tomorrow, so we could come and practice. It was home time so I went to the parking lot to look for my mom, but she wasn't there, must be late i thought. I waited 20 minutes and she still wasn't there, they were some other people who were waiting for their parents too, none of who I recognized, apart from...Jakub! again?! He finally noticed me there and came over to say hi, it was an awkward conversation, but then my mom arrived. We said bye to each other, and I left.
Something tell me tomorrow is going to be even awkwarder.
I arrive home safe and sound, and rush upstairs to change. I go on my phone and it's blowing up with messages from my friends (mostly Pinkie pie) She was inviting us for a sleepover at her house on Friday, I obviously said yes. And the other messages are from Rainbow, Twilight and Stormy. I was just stuff about there powers and sports.
I went downstairs to get a snack and watch some TV when I get a call from Twilight, I answered it. She was telling me that they might be a possibility that me and my other friends have powers, but she wasn't quite sure. She said that she wanted me to come by her house tomorrow to 'run some tests' Now usually, I would be terrified for someone to run tests on me, but I trusted Twilight, so I said ok, and hang up
I had a feeling today was going to be very.....interesting.
I woke up as usual, did my daily morning routine and left for school. I walked in and half of my friends were already there, I assumed they were talking about the sleepover on Friday at Pinkie's I didn't really want to talk to anyone at the time, but sadly they noticed me passing by.
"Frosty! Over here! come!!" Pinkie pie yelled from across the hall. I walked over to them, and just when I was about to reach them, Pinkie grabs my arm and pulls me in the 'circle of friends'
"Hey guys" I say, rubbing my arm in pain.
"Hey Frost" They all say.
"Are you excited for the sleepover?" Pinkie asks eager to hear my answer.
"Yep! Can't wait" I say, chuckling nervously, I was sometimes afraid of Pinkie, trust me she can be a little intimidating.
"I can't wait either" Galaxy says.
"Same here, I can't remember the last time we had a sleepover.
"It was the battle of the bands" Twilight and Rainbow dash say flatly.
The bell finally rings and we all rush to our classes, Galaxy and Sunny pulling my arms to get to class.
"C'mon were gonna be late" Galaxy say pulling my arm
"If ya let go maybe I could run with you?" I say yanking my arm from their hands
"Sorry" Sunny and Galaxy say in unsion,
"just don't wanna be late for art, It's the best lesson!" Sunny says, as we arrive at class, being the first one's there, we just continue talking and wait for the teacher and students. Everyone else arrives and the lesson starts.
"Ok class, today we are doing self portraits" The Teacher says "If you need any help just raise your hand and I'll come to help you"
"Aw man! I suck at portraits" Galaxy whispers to me.
"Same" Sunny says
Don't worry, I can help you guys"
"Thanks Frosty" They both whisper to me.
After that lesson, Galaxy and Sunny were now pretty good at portraits. We hugged and I ran to my next lesson, French. French was a lesson we had only on Thursdays, I don't know why but that's how it is. As I'm running I hear Jakub calling for me from behind, I turn back and he's holding a paper, It looked like...mine. I check my notebook and a paper is missing, yup it's mine
"Is this yours Frosty?" He asks walking over to me.
"Yea, Thanks" I say taking the paper from his hand and slipping it back into my notebook. "I'll try to be more careful" I say sheepishly.
"Well I gotta go, Cya" He says walking back in the opposite direction.
"Bye" I say, continuing my mad dash to french.
I arrived right on time, I entered the classroom and took a seat. To my surprise, there was no teacher yet, so I just sat there, playing with me pencil. 1 minute later the teacher arrives, she was a tall old lady with glasses, black almost gray hair. and a school like red and black dress. She looked really scary, but I couldn't help but stare.
After the lesson it was lunch, we had rice and beans with some apple juice. It was really tasty. Once I took a seat at the table all my friends just stared at me.
"Uhh, Are you guys ok?" I asked feeling uneasy
"Sugercube the real question is are you ok?" Applejack said with a sympathetic yet worried face.
"Yea, I'm fine" I reassured them "What made you think that I wasn't" I ask them, almost dreading their answer
"Wait you haven't heard?" Rarity said looking at me then Sunset then Twilight.
"Heard..what?" I ask hearing the raising panic in my voice.
No one said anything , and Sunset just handed me her phone. It was on someone Twitter page, no lemme rephrase that, I was on Crystal rose's Twitter page! It showed a picture of me and the caption was: Frosty Rainbow, clumsiest student at CHS! bumps into almost anyone.
"Oh no" I say, breaking into panic. "oh no, oh no, oh no"
"It's ok Frosty just breathe" Sunshine says patting me on the back.
"I can't believe she would do this! I haven't done anything to her.
"Except maybe bump into her" Pinkie mumbled loud enough for everyone on our table to hear
"Pinkie!" Rarity says, giving her 'the look'
"It is true" I say miserably.
"Don't worry we are going to fix this!" Rainbow dash say encouragingly
"As if, remember Crystal rose is the most popular and the meanest girl in this school, we don't stand a chance" I say poking my beans with my fork.
"Don't say that Frosty" Fluttershy says "If we just tell a teacher then-"
"NO!" Rainbow dash yells at her (in a friendly way of course) "If we tell a teacher, Crystal will think were wimps" Rainbow dash stated
"True" Sunny and Sunshine say.
The bell for the next lesson rings, It was Baking the P.E then TV/home time Let this miserable day continue.
It was finally P.E, time to find out who made the team and who...well didn't.
"Ok students, you've all worked really hard, but only ten of you have made the team" Coach said in a serious tone. "And those people are: Rainbow dash, Golden Snow Frost, Applejack, Jakub Sparkle Dash, Frosty Rainbow, Pinkie pie, Sunshine Star, Galaxy Swirl, Lighting Swirl and Sunset Shimmer." The coach said putting down her clipboard.
"Yes! I made the team, I made the team!" Rainbow dash chanted in a sing-song voice
I just rolled my eyes
"Those who didn't make it, I'm sorry try harder next time, and those who did go practice" Coach said pointing towards the field.
"Uhm coach, what are the people who didn't make it supposed to do?" Twilight asked nervously
"Uh, go play as well, like train and stuff." Coach replied
"Ok" Twilight said going to get a ball."
We all trained and played until it was time to go home, and I'm not gonna lie, we all smelled really bad. Though I was still bummed about the whole Crystal bulling thing, but I wasn't gonna tell my parents, at least not yet.
I woke up feeling so excited for the day, it was Friday the day of the slumber party! I've been to many before, but this one I was strangely over-excited about. Anyway, I got out of bed and went to go do my morning routine and dress up.
I arrived way earlier than usual and almost no one was there, but I didn't care, mom offered to take me back home, and bring me back when people usually come, but I said no.
I walked into the building and went to go put my stuff in my locker. I continued to walk around the school, watching people walk in, put stuff in their locker, and walk and chat with a friend. I felt a little lonely until.
"Frosty! Hey!" Pinkie pie yelled to me, getting out of her car and running to me, squeezing me in her deadly bear hug.
"Pinkie. Can't. Breathe!" I choked.
"Oopies, sorry Frosty," She said releasing me from the hug.
"It's fine." I said.
We continued walking into the school, and I waited for Pinkie to put her stuff in her locker before we started walking again. We just walked around the school, talking and cracking jokes now and then while waiting for the others to arrive. Pretty soon everyone was here.
The school day continued, as usual, right now it's lunchtime. But I'm quite confused, for the whole day, people have been pointing and laughing at me, I asked Twilight and Sunset but they said they'll tell me later, as in lunchtime.
"Guys, did you notice that everyone was pointing and laughing at me today?" I asked and then took a bit of my spaghetti.
"Yeah, that's strange," Sunshine said with a mouthful of spaghetti.
"I think it's because of what Crystal posted on twitter." Rarity said handing me her phone.
"It has 1 million views!?!" I said shocked, looking at the phone.
"Wait, you follow her on twitter?!!" Galaxy asked, looking at the phone as well
"What? she has very good fashion advice" Rarity said in defense.
We all just rolled our eyes at her.
Pretty soon the horrible school day was over. We all went home to pack our things for the sleepover, when I got a texted from Pinkie saying: There's gonna be a surprise guest coming!😋 Pinkie and her last-minute stuff.
Once I was done packing, my mom dropped me off at Pinkie's house, not everyone was there, Just Galaxy, Applejack, Rainbow and Stormy.
"Hey guys!" I said putting my bags down in the pile of bags.
"Hai Frosty" Pinkie said rushing over to give me a not-so-deadly hug, so I hugged her back.
"Hi Frosty!" Everyone else replied all seemed to be busy with something.
"Anything I can do to help?" I asked Pinkie as she blew some balloons.
"Yeah actually, do you mind calling the pizza party and ordering 3 Hawaiian pizzas," She said tieing the balloon.
"Sure!" I said, pulling out my phone and calling the pizza party.
When everyone arrived, that's when the party really began, there were party streamers and music and we just danced, until the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it!" Pinkie said rushing to open the door. She opened it, took the pizza's and let the pizza delivery guy in? When he walked in with Pinkie, I realized it was Jakub Dash, from school!
"Jakub? You're a delivery guy?" I asked going to help Pinkie with the pizza's
"Yeah, It's only a part-time job though" He explained.
"Wanna stay for the part Jakub?" Pinkie asked him while seating the pizza's down on the counter.
"Sure, why not?" He said taking off his jacket, I couldn't help but blush a little.
After we danced, Pinkie decided we play some party games, like truth or dare and would you rather.
"I'll go first!" Sunny said. "Let's see, AJ, truth or dare?" She asked
"Dare!" Applejack said bravely
"I dare you to...lick your phone" Sunny said pointing to her phone.
"Okay," Aj said, taking her phone to her face, hesitating a little, then licking it.
"Eww" The rest of us cried.
"My turn," Aj said quickly putting her phone back into her pocket. "Galaxy, truth or dare?"
"umm truth," Galaxy said shyly
"What's you're deepest, darkest secret?" Aj asked eagerly
"Well, there was this time in 1st grade where I accidentally laughed so hard I...peed myself
"Omg!" Rarity and Pinkie said at the same time.
"That must have been SUPER awkward," I said
"Yeah, it was," Galaxy said in shame.
"Anyway, My turn!" Galaxy said, "Fluttershy, you've been really quiet, truth or dare?"
"T-truth" Fluttershy answered shyly
"Who do you have a crush on?" Galaxy asked smugly
"No one! I swear!" Fluttershy said in protest
"Okay okay, chill Flutters," Rainbow said waving her arms.
"Fluttershy it's you're turn" I said
"Uh, Jakub truth or dare?" She said
"Dare" he replied
"I dare you too-" She was cut off when Rainbow whispered something in her ear. "To kiss Frosty," She said smugly
"WHAT?!!?" Jakub and I yelled in unison
"C'mon do it! Unless you're a chicken" Rainbow and Aj teased
"Ya know, what l just remembered, I have to go....somewhere tomorrow so I can't stay the night" I lied trynna make an excuse to leave.
"Not so fast Frosty," Twilight said pulling me back with her magic.
"Oh right, forgot she could do that" I said to myself
Pretty soon everyone in the room was chanting "DO IT! DO! DO IT!" Even Pinkie's pet alligator gummy! (I think)
"Let's just get this over with," I said unamusedly.
"Okay..." He said nervously, he leaned in and shut his eyes and I did the same, everyone in the room watching eagerly. I leaned in a bit more, then our lips meet, though it lasted for only 3 seconds then I pulled away and he did too, both of us blush furiously.
"Oh well, it's getting late, I gotta go, Bye guys." Jakub said standing up and walking out the door.
It's Monday again. Yay. That probably means today will be interesting, to say the least.
I rolled out of bed, went through the usual routine, only my hairdryer refused to work for a solid 5 minutes. The air it blew was cold, chilling. Frosty, if you will.
After waving Winter goodbye, mom and I took off for CHS. Even by Monday's standards, I was doing pretty well.
When I finally arrived, Rainbow, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie were already inside. I almost skipped the short distance to them and greeted them with a smile.
"Hey, girls! Thanks for inviting me over to the slumber party last Friday," I said.
"Of course! You're our friend now, and we always invite our friends to our parties! Because new friends means more people to play games with and make jokes with and spend time with which makes parties are even more funner which means more people will wanna come which means even more fun-y fun!"
Sometimes it was impossible to keep up with Pinkie Pie. Actually, more often than not.
Rarity chuckled and said, "What she means, darling, is that we were honoured to have our new friends over."
We walked to our respective lockers, gearing up for the day ahead, and one by one our other friends arrived and joined us. Soon enough, the 12 of us started towards our first class, which was math for me.
"So," Rainbow piped up suddenly, "how didja enjoy that kiss with Jakub on Friday?" A snicker followed.
I groaned.
Rainbow laughed again, earning a nudge at the side from Applejack. My mind wandered back to the slumber party. The pizza… delivery guy… truth or dare… the kiss. I started to blush.
"You sure you don't have a thing for him?" Rainbow teased. She was a pain in the neck sometimes, but she did make everything 10 times more fun, or awesome, as she would put it.
Should I tell them? I thought.
"Well, actually, guys…"
Maybe I should. Maybe they can help me out.
"Between just us, I may, kinda sorta… have a little crush…" I trailed off.
I heard a sudden outburst of laughter. They were all laughing… at me?
"What's so funny?” I asked.
“Why darling, we already knew that! It was rather obvious,” Rarity replied, waving a hand in the air.
“Really?”
“Eeeyup. Y’all were redder than a ripe Gala in mid-October.” Applejack confirmed.
Some of my friends were visibly confused, while the others just giggled.
“Oh,” I said. And I once again found myself meeting that exact description. “But how do I tell him?”
“Oh, you leave that to us, darling.”
Math class went by like a snail slowly inching its way along a sidewalk. Or that's how it felt, anyway.
Chemistry and English came and went by, both of which I enjoyed very much.
Then finally, it was lunch period.
As Stormy and I walked towards the cafeteria, we met Rainbow Dash in the hallway. She started complaining to us about how Algebra was 'sooo boring', and how she wished she didn't have to take the class. When Sunshine asked her what made the class so terrible, she said that she actually didn't know because she was asleep for the most part.
Before long, we were joined by Fluttershy, Sunset, Sunny, Sunshine, Galaxy and Twilight. As we made our way down the hall, a familiar voice called out to me. Familiar, but not friendly.
“Hey! If it isn’t the clumsy Rainbow newbie herself.”
Of course, it was Crystal Rose.
From the corner of my eye, I could see the other Rainbow was about to shout something back in my defense. But before she could say anything, she was cut off by… Jakub?
“Hey! You leave Frosty alone! So she might have bumped into you by accident, and so what?”
Jakub was standing in front of his locker glaring daggers at Crystal now.
Golden Snowfrost, who was with Crystal, rolled her eyes. “Aww, defending your clumsy little girlfriend?”
“WE’RE NOT DATING!” Jakub and I yelled simultaneously. A few students looked our way. We both blushed and quickly looked away from each other. But then Jakub spoke up again.
“And she isn’t clumsy. Should I remind everyone of the time you got caught live streaming in Cranky Doodle's class because you dropped your phone?”
I heard a few of the students who had gathered start to giggle. Crystal glared at them.
“Ha! You think that’s supposed to make me feel bad? Nobody even remembers that!” she said to us confidently.
But some of the students continued to laugh, and I could see it was starting to annoy her. Before I could say anything, she growled and stormed off. Looks like it worked!
My friends cheered and laughed.
Before I could even thank Jakub, Rarity had read my mind it seemed, because she was already one step ahead of me.
“Why thank you for defending our dear Frosty, darling. That was most kind of you. And you happen to be just the person I needed to see...”
Rarity had asked Jakub to join us for a hang out at a cafe -- the same cafe near the mall that Dash had invited me to before -- at 4 o’clock after school. After P.E., school was finished and mom gave me a ride home. Then, when 4 o’clock rolled around, she dropped me off at the mall. My friends had actually planned to stay hidden and busy while I waited for Jakub alone at a table outside the cafe.
“So, let me get this straight. I know this is a date, but he doesn’t?”
“Well, yes darling, but don’t you worry,” Rarity had said. “It’ll work out just fine. Now go.”
So here I was sitting at a small round table, with two placemats and chairs on either side, and a vase with red-purple roses in the centre. The last of those items being courtesy of Rarity. Pretty obvious, now that I thought about it. There’s nothing the fashionista of our clique enjoys more than watching a romantic scene play out. It felt awkward, though, especially since I hadn't actually been inside the cafe as yet...
“Frosty?” A voice snapped me out of my thoughts. He’s here!
“Hey, Jakub.” I could barely hide the enthusiasm in my voice.
“Is this the place?”
“Yep, this is it!”
“But where’s everybody else? I thought Rarity said all of you would be here.”
“Oh, the others went out to get something.”
“Oh.”
“Yeah, so… it’s just the two of us... for now…”
“I see.” He finally sat down opposite me. I could tell he was confused by the flowers on the table. I had to think of something to say. I didn't want this to be awkward, and I didn’t want to disappoint him.
“So, how was your day?” I ask.
“It was alright. Well, okay, maybe it was a bit lame, but never mind it. How was yours?”
“It was normal, I guess. But then you made it ten times better when you stood up for me!”
You really could’ve worded that better, Frosty. Think!
“I mean, well, I just wanted to say thank you. For doing that, I mean. It was nice of you.”
“Aw shucks," he chuckled, "just doing what any friend would.” He smiled at me. I smiled back. Whew.
"Say, you hungry?" And of course, as if on cue, my stomach growled just then.
"Yeah, probably about time we ordered something." We laughed.
We went inside and ordered what wanted. Donuts are a must! Especially the ones with the frosty looking sugar glaze on top. Mmmm. Apparently, Jakub likes grilled cheese sandwiches.
While we waited, we continued making small talk with one of us bringing up a new topic every time it grew quiet. We talked about how our day went, which classes we were liking and which ones we weren't, and eventually the subject of last Friday’s slumber party came up.
“Pinkie’s parties are the wildest!” Jakub was laughing his head off at this point. I love his laugh.
“Hahaha, yeah, they sure are! Remember when we played truth or dare?”
“Yeah...” he gazed to the side. “Say, well, what did you think about Fluttershy’s dare?”
“Huh?”
“You know, when Rainbow made her ask us to… y’know.” He started to blush.
I realised what he meant and I blushed, too.
“Well, honestly, I”---I turned to look him in the eyes---”I did like getting a kiss from you.” And as soon as I said it, I had to look away.
Then I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned to face Jakub, who was actually smiling at me.
“I’m glad to hear it," he said, "because I liked it, too.”
I smiled. I can’t even describe the butterflies I felt in my stomach right then.
“Actually," he continued, "I was in such a hurry to leave, because I thought you didn't like it.”
“What? But I did, you shouldn’t have left! Oh, Jakub.” I giggled. “I love you.”
“I do love you too, Frosty. I just didn’t know when to say it.”
“Then don’t say it. How about you show it.”
“Huh-?” I cut him off by leaning in for a kiss. And he let me.
The butterflies in my stomach went wild, then died out. It felt right.
This felt right.
And I had waited so long for a moment like this.
So I could only conclude that this had to be the BEST. MONDAY. EVER!
All I remember thinking then, though, is that I really do have the best friends a girl could ever wish for.
Looks like my adventures in high school are off to a great start! I can't wait to see what the rest of the year holds...
