Shockwave 2
An Equestria Girls Story

Again, welcome. It's me again, Shockwave and yes, I’m still attending Crystal Prep Academy in my last story. Not much has changed since I returned to Crystal Prep except for Sugarcoat and I dating. I thought the students at Canterlot High would be upset if I left CHS to return to CPA, but I was wrong. I respected my decision. Anyways, I’m at Crystal Prep Academy in one of the classrooms on a Saturday with Sugarcoat working on a project that she wants to get done for a friend of hers. She won’t say whom and by the looks of her project, it doesn’t appear to be for any extra credit or a homework assignment or a school project of some sorts: a yellow bracelet with red lightning bolt beads on it. I looked at her and asked, “Um, Sugarcoat? Exactly who are we making this bracelet for?”

“A friend, like I said,” she replied.

“Okay? Gonna ask, which friend?”

“Indigo Zap.”

Now I knew she was lying because I knew Indigo wouldn’t wear bracelets. They’re too girly for her. Trust me. She told me several times when I returned.

“Okay? So, I’m…gonna grab us some refreshments. You want anything?” I asked her.

“Water, please and thank you, Shockwave,” she answered.

I nodded and left the classroom for the cafeteria to get some refreshments for me and Sugarcoat. Along the way, I noticed Sunny Flare and Indigo Zap talking to each other. I waved at them and said, “Hey, Sunny. Hey, Indigo.”

They noticed me and waved back. “Hey, Shockwave. Where’re you headin’?” Sunny asked.

“To the cafeteria to get some refreshments for me and Sugarcoat.”

“Oh? And what are you two doing?” Indigo asked.

“Making a bracelet for a friend of hers,” I said.

They were surprised by what I said. “And did she say which friend she was making it for?” Indigo asked.

“For you, Indigo.”

“For me?”

“Yeah and it’s weird since you’re not into bracelets.”

“That’s right! I’m not into those girly stuff!”

“So what did the bracelet look like before you left?” Sunny asked.

“Well, it was yellow with red lighting bolt beads on it,” I said.

Sunny and Indigo looked at me weirdly, like I was a moron.

“Um, Shockwave? You realize she’s making that bracelet for you, right?” Sunny asked.

I was shocked at what she said. “She is?”

“Well, yeah. Who else likes red lightning bolts? You always told us how awesome they look.”

She was right. I always told everyone at Crystal Prep how awesome red lightning looked. Call it an obsession. I call it a fascination.

“Anyways, you should make something for her, Shockwave,” Sunny said.

“Like what?” I asked.

“You’ll figure something out. She is your girlfriend, after all. Anyways, good luck!” she said and walked away with Indigo following. As they walked away, I thought about it before getting the drinks for me and Sugarcoat.

After I returned from the cafeteria with the refreshments for me and Sugarcoat, I grabbed a piece of lined paper and a pencil from my book bag and sat down a few desks away from Sugarcoat so I could write my poem about her without her knowing. I had a hard time writing it since I knew her very well. I just didn’t want to mess it up for her.

She looked at me suspiciously and asked, “What are you doing, Shockwave?”

“I'm just working on some schoolwork for some extra credit for the teacher.”

“Oh. In that case, carry on. Let me know if you need any help, okay?”

"I will. Thank you, Sugarcoat."

I’m glad she bought it. Back to my poem for her, I decided I shouldn’t let any negativity from her get to me. It’s the thought that counts, right? As soon as I was done, I walked towards Sugarcoat and asked, “Do you need any help, Sugarcoat?”

“What were you writing, Shockwave? I know it wasn’t schoolwork for extra credit since I know you’re not the type of guy to do that. So, what were you writing exactly?” she asked.

I gulped. I knew if I lied, she would continue to ask. So I sighed and said, “I was writing a poem for you. That’s all.”

She was surprised at what I said. “You wrote a poem…for me?”

“Yes. Would you like me to read it to you?”

She nodded. I then began to read it to her:

My friend Sugarcoat
When I’m on a boat
My heart skips a beat
Being with her is a treat
She likes to read books
And gives me looks
That makes me blush
And turns me into mush

As soon as I was done reading it to her, she began to blush.
“That…was…beautiful! Thank you, Shockwave!” she shouted, embracing me tightly.

I smiled and said, “You’re welcome, Sugarcoat.”

She then gave me the yellow bracelet with red lightning bolt beads on it and said, "Here you go, Shockwave. Here's my gift to you."

I took it, put it on my left wrist and said, "Thank you, Sugarcoat. I'll treasure it."

She then looked at me suspiciously and asked, "You're not shocked, no pun intended, that I gave you that bracelet. Why?"

I gulped. I tried to come up with a very good lie to tell her instead of telling her the truth that Sunny Flare told me that Sugarcoat was making me a bracelet. So I just said this, "I don't know."

"Liar. Tell me why or I'll break up with you."

I gulped again.

"Tell me in the next three minutes or we're thru!"

I sighed and said, "Sunny Flare told me."

Sugarcoat raised her eyebrow. "Is that the truth?"

I nodded. "It's the truth. But please don't get mad at her for telling me. It was my stupidity that made her tell me."

Sugarcoat thought about it for awhile. "All right. I'll let this one slide. But if I find out one of our friends told you I made something for you, they will get it. Got it?"

I nodded.

"Anyways, thank you again for the lovely poem," she said.

"And thank you for the lovely bracelet," I said, giving her hug.

The End
