Silverstream As My Seapony Pal
During one week of your summer vacation, you take a family trip to Niagara Falls to witness how amazing the waterfalls are. With activities like swimming, going to the amusement park and learning more about Niagara Falls, it’s going to be a long week for you.
After doing everything your parents wanted to do, it’s fair they decide to allow you to do something in this vacation. You went to the amusement park and had all the fun, with the games and rides. When the day is almost over, you and your parents leave the park to return the house they rented for the week.
“So, how was the amusement park?” your mother asked with your dad driving out of the parking lot.
“Amazing.” Is all you had to say once you put your seatbelt on.
“It’s good for you since we have three days left.” Your father added.
When you get back on the road, the trip to the waterfalls to you house is about two hours apart. It may make you feel bored for a two hour drive, you at least get an impromptu sightseeing of the mountains and waterfalls outside your window. Just when you were about to fall asleep after the fun you had, you saw a pet store. Not only is it by another waterfall that’s a little higher then the ones you saw, but the sign representing the store is called as Seapony store.
“Seapony store?” You spoke in confusion to which you parents listen.
“Excuse me?” Your mother replied.
“Do you see that pet store over there?”
You father and mother looked at the location you pointed. “Yes? What about it?” Your father added.
“They sell seaponies.”
“Seaponies?” Your parents looked at each other.
“Did your teachers teach you about seaponies?”
“No.”
Not only are you curious but so does your parents. They thought what you mention was all a made up animal idea but they see the truth. They’re getting closer to the pet store and the only thought they had in mind is to check it out.
“Do you wanna check inside?” You mother asked.
“Sure.” You replied.
Your father drove in the parking that’s by the Seapony store. Once you get out of your car, you took a look at the entrance. The store was too small to keep tens of animals in their place. Not only that, you see two elevators. One normal size one for one to ten people to take while the other is ten times bigger.
“Are you sure this is the pet store?” Your father asked.
“Because it looks like we’re going up the falls like yesterday.” Your mother commented.
“We should go inside and see for ourselves.”
You and your parents went inside the entrance. The walls have perfect artwork of the oceans and waterfalls. There is only the elevator that you need to take in order to get to the pet store. You in your entire life had never seen any pet store that does this but on the other hand, it didn’t bother you in the slightest. You and your parents enter the elevator as your father pressed the button that leads to the store. Once the elevator levitates up from the entrance, you wouldn’t believe how high your getting. The waterfall is so high, it was like a tall building in a city, undamaged and giving the view above.
The elevator stops as it opens the slides. When you and your parents enter the pet store, not only you can finally see art and plushies of what seaponies are like, but also there’s something awaits you outside of the pet store.
“This pet store is more of a gift shop. I don’t see any seaponies.” Your mother said while looking at the place.
“Maybe we should asked the person who runs this place.” You replied.
When you enter the main hallway where the cash register is at, you do see an adult working, managing the place.
“Excuse me?” You asked nicely which caught his attention. “So you sell seaponies right?”
“Yes I do.” He responded. “All of the seaponies are outside waiting for the customers.”
Just when you are about to make your way, your father stops you from walking outside. “Can you tell me why the animals are waiting outside.”
The manager took out his list of rules and history of his seapony store. “Because they need tons of space when they swim underwater.”
“Swim underwater? You mean like they need to be in a huge area, bigger than a fish tank?” You replied.
The manager nodded as he reads more on his list. “I want you guys to know that this pet store is the only place where you will ever find an animal who can not only swim and fly, but also really friendly.”
You became speechless with the idea of this pet store being one of a kind. You think the manager did so much research in the ocean to find so many types of sea animals, but a pony who swims underwater still made you curious on what he’s talking about.
“Should we go outside and see for ourselves?” You asked.
“Sure, It’s down the hall behind the curtains.” He points to the direction.
You and your parents went down the hallway to check out the seaponies. During your way down, you can hear the sounds of the water falling from the edge. You remember you’re on top of one of the rivers of Niagara Falls, something you and your family didn’t do once you arrived. You move the curtains to get a view of where the seaponies are staying.
Your parents found the view above the Niagara Falls beautiful. With the sun setting with the rainbow in the sky, you can see several seaponies swimming in the water. There are tons of different colors of seaponies enjoying each other while some are turned into a bird version, flying away to head home for the night.
“So...does seaponies are half pony and bird? Because you can’t combine two things into one.” You replied.
“Well maybe they do have something they’re keeping for themselves...well expect the guy who owns the place.” Your father corrected himself.
“So what seapony do you want to meet?” Your mother asked.
“I don’t know, there’s a lot to see.”
It took you longer to see so many seaponies to meet but the more you look around, the more you realize how big the place is. You come across baby and younger seaponies, who gave you there sweet and adorable eyes since they’re excited to see a customer who might purchase them. Even if you didn’t want to hurt their feelings, it still didn’t make you to talk to them. You wanted to meet a seapony who is full of charm while also showing off it’s abilities as a seapony.
You reach at the end of the trail where the river is leading the water with its current. You see four seaponies hanging out in their bird forms. One who is blue and is the oldest in the group, one who is yellow and feels uncomfortable when she’s not in her seapony form. One who is her daughter who loves to fly all over the lands.
Then there’s the final seapony, where her mane is light blueish and her fur is light pink. She’s extremely happy even when the day is almost over, just when they use their pieces of pearl around their necks to get back in the ocean, the pink seapony caught her attention on you.
“OH MY GOSH!!!” She shouted which made you collapse on the ground.
“Silverstream, what now?” Her brother asked.
“Yeah we really need to head home now.” Her mother added.
Just when her father was about to agree with his wife, he saw you along with your parents. He did see a few humans arriving at the pet store before but not once when they came to his family.
“Ocean Flow, Terramar.” Once he said their names, they turned their attention on you. Your parents started to get paranoid once Silverstream gets into your face.
“Your must be a customer!” She shouted again.
“Well…” You replied once you got back up.” We only came here because we never saw a seapony in our lives.”
This made Silverstream disappointed just when she was about to explode with more excitement. Then her father decided to make the next move of this moment.
“I’m Sky Beak, the father of Silverstream.” He introduces himself. “So you’re here only to see who seaponies are like?”
“Yes. We all do.”
“Also why is every seapony living up here? Not that you need water, I mean up on top of one of the worlds biggest waterfalls?” Your mother asked.
Ocean Flow decide to fill in for her husband. “Because not only is it beautiful up here but also a private place to prevent nyone from seeing us. It makes our species very unknown to any human being on this planet.”
“But what about that manager who runs the place? Does he keep this secret with all of you?”
Ocean Flow nodded with a giggle in her voice. Meanwhile Silverstream is starting to come into tears after she realized you’re only a visitor and nothing else. Even if you didn’t mean to damage her hopes, you still need to help her out.
“Excuse me.” You spoke to her brother Terramar. “Are most of you feeling a bit confident of getting purchased?”
“Sort of.” He clenched his teeth. “But I don’t want to leave.”
“But your sister does?”
“Yes.”
When you turned your attention on Silverstream again, you want to know why she’s hyper when she looked at you. You walk up to her and poked on one of her wings which made her look at you again with more tears coming down.
“Do you really want to see the world?” You asked.
“So much!” She responded. “I may going to miss my family but I wanted to feel the wonders outside of Niagara Falls. I love new things and what they have to offer. I makes me more happy in the inside of my heart.”
You completely see how the side of her shows what she really wants in life. Not to mention she’s been waiting for years for this opportunity to happen.
Then something came to you, it didn’t come to your mind once your family vacation began, but during your time at home, there’s something you wanted so badly. A pet. With your pet being a seapony and half bird will make you have company whenever your friends are busy. Especially it will give you an understanding who seaponies are and especially their bird form.
“Silverstream, I want you to know that I came here to have a vacation, but when I saw seaponies for the first time, it made me think of them as rare creatures. I’ve seen ponies in pet stores from where I live and I was willing to buy one for my birthday money, but then I saw this place.”
You then looked at all the seaponies still playing in the water. Even some fillies are watching you the way your giving your thoughts on their sanctuary. You then turned back to Silverstream who’s slowly feeling better.
“I’m sure if I take one seapony home, I might get something none of my friends or people at school will ever get. And that’s my pet being a one of a kind at my house.”
Silverstream began to smile with some hope in her heart. As if she gets something she deserves all along when the first human who wants to purchase her, was you. She then gives you a tight hug while also flying in the air with her wings.
“I got to tell Princess Skystar and Queen Novo about this!”
“Princess Skystar and Queen Novo?” Both of your parents replied.
“They’re the leaders of the hippogriffs. Hippogriffs are our flying forms by the way.” Ocean Flow explained.
“Where are they?” Your father asked.
“There in one of the caves underwater.” Terramar added.
“So do we have to find another way underground or something?” You replied.
“Actually.“ Silverstream corrected. She then uses her pearl around her neck to turn herself into a seapony and gets in the water. She uses one of the bubbles and blow the air inside it. She then gets back up on the surface and put the size bubble through your head. “We go underwater!”
She grabs you with her hooves that caught you off guard and pulls you into the water.
“Hey, you took our son!” Your mother reacted until Sky Beak fills again.
“This happens whenever any human wants to buy a seapony. He’s going to be alright.”
While your parents aren’t really convinced, they at least know Silverstream’s father doesn’t lie. As for you, you wouldn’t believe your underwater with your clothes still on but also still breathing thanks to the bubble on your head. Silverstream then place you on her back as she goes through the caves where Skystar and Novo are at.
It didn’t take long until you reach the cave that leads to where Silverstream’s destination is at. You see Princess Skystar playing with her shells while you see Queen Novo sitting on her throne in silence until she puts her attention on you.
Her eyes remind lid but her smile grows to finally see a human like you in her sanctuary. “Well look we have here.” She spoke in her sassy tone. “Princess Skystar, we got a guest.”
Princess Skystar turned her attention on you and just when you think Silverstream is full of excitement, Skystar gets into your face while giving you a hug.
“We finally get a customer after all this time!” She cheered as she swirls while holding on to you.
Silverstream is waiting patiently as she’s waiting for the moment to come. Queen Novo looks at her daughter in joy until she’s done with her moment with you.
As Skystar let go of you, you felt dizzy from the swirl. Sure it was fun but also again put you off guard. “How many times do seaponies do this?” You asked while almost losing your balance.
“We always love to see new humans like you.” She winked at you. Queen Novo then gives her introduction to you with this occasion happening again.
“I am Queen Novo, the leader of the hippogriffs.” She spoke. “I see you want to have Silverstream as your pet right?”
You nodded while she smiled again. Just before she’s about to call the store manager, you had one question about the sanctuary.
“Wait before you call the manager, how does he make this entire place happen?”
Queen Novo stood in place as she sighed. While she’s thankful you didn’t tell her the birthplace of seaponies but it will be a long history for her to explain. She turned on her serious face while trying to not waste anymore time.
“The manager loves to see fish in the ocean when he was a kid and when he found where our hideout was, we were shocked.”
Her daughter decides to chime in on the conversation. “We never had a single human to found our hideout in our lives. As if he’s going to capture us!”
“Luckily that didn’t happen, since he’s respectful to our culture.” Silverstream added.
“He wanted to do a lot and I mean a LOT of research of us. He even promised to keep it to himself to protect our citizens. So we made a deal to move our population to one of the highest falls in the land.”
You found the history fascinating but then another question came to you about the idea of his seapony pet store. “Then why does he want to sell your citizens to families?”
This made Princess Skystar blushed in embarrassment while her mother glares. “Skystar, we’re waiting.”
Skystar didn’t wanted to disobey her mother and discuss her actions. “I wanted to go outside of our hideout and I told most of my friends about it.”
“Which aren’t her shells.” Her mother retorted.
“And I got grounded for a month.”
“Maybe if you were thinking better, none of this wouldn’t be an issue.” Queen Novo signed again as she gets to the real point. “But on the other hand, the difference between here and our hideout, our sanctuary isn’t big enough for our future living here. The more seaponies are born, the more spaces we loss so that’s what we made a deal with the manager to sell us as long as we don’t expose our old hideout.”
You mostly feel bad for Novo but on the other hand, you‘re always honest to keep secrets like this. The culture of seaponies really made you positive to show what they can do outside of their kind and witness the world you live in. It maybe a risk your going to handle but you can work that out with your friends.
“Queen Novo.” You spoke. “I promise I will take good care of Silverstream no matter what.”
Novo liked the way you show your care towards her citizens. Even with everything she explained about her history with the manager, she still has the bits of trusting you. She demands a hooveshake from you as you accepted it. Meanwhile Silverstream is crying in joy as her tears flowed in the water, she’s happy to see you so honest with the responsibility your going to receive. As Queen Novo finally talks to the manager in the meantime, both Princess Skystar and Silverstream gave you a group hug which you accept it.
When you return back to your parents, you give them the news that you want Silverstream as her pet. Even with the price being incredibly high, you still use all of your birthday money you saved along with your parents money and paid the manager. After a huge departure from Silverstream’s friends and family, she uses the elevator exclusive of her kind. The manager didn’t want to have any hippogriff fly away any closer to the waterfall to prevent anyone seeing them, so he makes an elevator for hippogriffs to hide them,once they leave.
You, your parents and Silverstream get inside the car as you leave the pet store and return home. You started to become tired after all the time you did today. While you wanted to play with Silverstream, you still needed to rest for the night. After two long hours with a stop to eat dinner, you finally head back to your house your parents rented. They allowed you to have Silverstream sleep in your bedroom which made you happy. You walk up the steps with Silverstream behind you as you enter your bedroom.
“Oh my gosh, is this your bedroom?” She asked as she hovers towards your mattress.
“Well, we’re only staying during vacation so…for the next few days.” You replied as you yawn from your voice. “Anyway, I need to get some sleep for tomorrow.”
“Do you want me to sleep with you?” She asked nicely.
“You can, besides I still need the equipment for you like a pony bed or something.”
Silverstream couldn’t get anymore happy than she already is. So much potential she has to show you the kind of pet she really is.
Before you left the pet store, you brought five plushies along to remind Silverstream when she’s away from the sanctuary. Sky Beak, Ocean Flow, Terramar, Princess Skystar and Queen Novo are the plushies you brought as you place them on top of your shelves. You turned off your light as you lay on your mattress with Silverstream by your side.
When your getting close to going to sleep, Silverstream wraps her arms around you, giving you a hug after everything you did for her. She then looks at the five plushies on the shelves you placed , if you never waste more of your money, she would never feel more homesick when she misses her family and the rulers who protected her.
“If you ever feel yourself being really sad when you miss your family as a seapony, I would probably do the same thing for you. That’s how much I admire the fact your my owner now.”
She then hugs you closer to her chest with your head hearing her heart. It made you completely comfortable with the fur being soft while her heart pounds in your head. When you were little, your mother did the same, when she wants you to hear what she feels in her heart. When you hear Silverstream’s on the other hand, it made you feel more about her feelings and the fact of how long she waited for this moment.
Soon, you two began to fall asleep as your still wrapped in Silverstream’s hug. Today is only the beginning of your relationship with Silverstream, while tomorrow will only tell what the next step between you and the hippogriff, while you remind yourself that Silverstream is not only your pal, but also your seapony pal.
