> Stuck in my own Sequel > by AntiBronyBenSwolo > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Electric Boogalo > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Previously, on Stuck in my own Fanfic... The Dazzling's have been humiliated by the Rainbooms in the Battle of the Bands, resulting in the destruction of their siren gems. This caused the Sirens to run off into hiding until Hasbro shoehorns them in for some dumb redemption arc I'm pretty sure nobody really asked for. But there was one guy who stepped in and made the Dazzlings lives better, The author of this fanfiction; AntiBronyBenSwolo (that's me, I'm pretty sure. Hey there by the way). However, not everything is sunshine and rainbows. Because it'd be pretty boring if it was. Sunset Shimmer, shocked about my actions and potential, plans to put an end to this mad author's power before he takes over the world...or something. "Did you really just have to read that out loud like an anime narrator?" Adagio asked as she played some video games with Sonata. "What? I'm just trying to bring the readers up to speed," I said, jotting this down. "But...you're still using the same notebook," Aria noted, as she quietly spectated the game. "Hush, Aria child. We're in a sequel now," I said, placing my finger on Aria's lips. Sonata and Adagio mashed the buttons on their controller with vigorous intensity, until Sonata let out a tremendous cheer. She had won...whatever game she and Adagio were playing (idk, I don't keep track of what's relevant here). "So, what are we gonna do now that we're in a sequel?" Adagio explained as Sonata danced around our ship. I pondered my options for where I could take this one. "Well, I was thinking we could get some cover art or something," I said, stroking my chin. "I think she was referring to Sunset Shimmer," Aria explained, as Adagio handed her controller over. Sonata sat back down and reclaimed her controller. "Oh, right. Well, I hope you girls don't mind if I investigate that as we speak," I say, as I head on the deck of our ship. "Good luck out there," Adagio waved as I saluted at the girls. I headed out of our secret cave and headed over to Canterlot High School, where I noticed everything was decorated. Was it the Friendship Games already? Well, considering I put that in the description, I shouldn't be surprised if that was the case. As I sneaked closeby, I saw a shy teenage girl hiding in a hoodie as she scanned the large mirror in front of the school. I also saw Sunset Shimmer writing in her own notebook, barely noticing the girl in the hoodie. However, I knew exactly who she was and where this was going. "Hello there," I said, startling the girl, and causing her to break her device. "What did you do?" The girl asked as she swept all the pieces together. "I'm sorry. Also, I would have liked 'General Kenobi' as a response," I said, as the girl cradled the tech together like a broken LEGO set. "What is going on here?" Sunset asked, noticing what's happening. "Oh, n-nothing," The girl lied, keeping her hood closed. "Wait, TWILIGHT!?" Sunset asked, shocking the girl. The girl unhooded herself to be the Twilight Sparkle of this universe. "How do you know who I am?" Twilight asked, overwhelmed with this misfortune. "Well, if I may, you have a counterpart from an alternate dimension who visited this school a couple of times," I explained to Twilight, who was having a hard time processing all of this. "And might I ask what YOU'RE doing here?" Sunset asked, pointing at me like I was at a crime scene. "Honestly, I came here to check up on you. It's been a while since I learned about your original character and--" "Wait, how do you know about my original character?" Sunset asked, as she cut me off. "...Can I go now?" Twilight asked, as if it no longer involved her. "Yeah, sure," I said noncalantley as she headed back onto her bus and left. Sunset got even more furious at me. She had so many questions for Twilight's doppleganger. She couldn't help but punch me in my face. However, as I narrated this story, I saw that move coming and just caught it like a paper wad. "I'm really starting to hate you, you know that?" Sunset yelled, trying to scare me. "You know, hate is such a strong word. Especially for a pony like you," I said. I examined the mirror in curiosity. "Well, now that you know about our new 'character', you know we plan to bring her here and become a thorn in your side," Sunset explained, as I continued my examinations. "I know what you're doing. Unfortunatley, you can't do it without my help though, so I was thinking of bringing this character of yours here. You OK with that?" I explained, stunning Sunset. "What's the catch here?" Sunset asked, crossing her arms. "Oh, there's no catch. I just need the character sheet and the booklet you made for her," I said, stretching my hand out. Sunset reluctantly handed over the drawing, which was much improved on the last time I narrated it, and read the booklet for myself. I was thinking maybe I'd transfer it over into the next chapter. "OK, here goes nothing," I said, as I placed the booklet and drawing on a large blank slab, which was meant to hold Sunset's magic book so she could go back to Equestria. But I found a new use for it. The mirror spiraled bright rainbow colors as a body stretched out of the colorful portal, and Sunset and I got to view her character for ourselves. She had forest/lime green skin, long blue hair, and wore an ordinary white T-shirt with red jeans and large purple boots. Her outfit was relatively simple, with the exception of her large white flowing robe. And it doesn't help she held a long white staff with a red crystal on top. Sheesh, you'd mistaken her for Gandalf as a teenage girl or something. "Behold, I am Sentry Light! Defender of the good and pure-hearted!" The colorful mage bellowed as Sunset was in shock. "Well, thank you for bringing her here, I guess," Sunset explained as I examined her character. "You're welcome. I just thought to speed up the process a bit and bring her here myself, as opposed to having you steal my book from me and writing a chapter yourself," I explained. "Begone, foul being! My creator and I have much to discuss!" Sentry Light said. "OK, fine. I'm going. Good luck on the Friendship Games by the way," I said, as I headed out and back home. "Well, any luck?" Adagio asked, lying on the couch bored. Aria and Sonata were just as, if not even more bored. "Sunset's new original character is here," I informed the Dazzlings, who jumped out of their trance. "What? We gotta prepare some defenses. We can't let whoever it is here! We gotta--" Sonata said, panicking about this event, before fainting on her bed. "Well, do you have a plan as to how to stop her?" Aria asked as I held up Sunset's booklet. "Maybe this oughta help," I said, as I opened the first page. > Sentry Bright > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sentry Bright was born to a couple of lowly farmers that lived off of the crops they owned. Sentry's farm lived far away from any kingdom, so her family resorted to defending themselves and their crops from monstrous beasts that dared attack. Sentry Bright longed to become a beautiful and kind princess, helping her subjects in need. "Sounds like a cliche hero's journey story, if you ask me," Adagio said, as I read the booklet to the Dazzlings. "Well, every story starts out cliche, until it's expanded on," I replied as I continued reading. However, one fateful day, the farm was attacked by a swarm of changelings, and she had to escape. As she ran, she was almost captured and cocoon until she was saved by a mighty wizard, who taught her everything he knew. "Please don't tell us it's Starswirl," Aria cringed, placing her hand on her head. "Luckily for you, it doesn't say. Boy, Sunset sure seems like a lazy writer if she couldn't create Sentry Bright's mentor character," I commented as I flipped the page. Sentry was instructed by her master to build her own staff. So she went to sea and cast a spell on a large chunk of wood, transforming the wood, and placed a bright red crystal on the tip. "Wait, why not have her mentor cast the spell instead of Sentry Bright? Or at least have a little magical training before creating her staff?" I asked, scratching my head. The Dazzlings looked at me, as I flipped through more pages. But unfortunately, it was all so rushed I couldn't bare to read it anymore. "I thought Sunset would be a better writer than this. She writes to Equestria's Twilight via. Magic Book a lot, so how come she's terrible at creative writing?" I asked, tossing the booklet aside. "Maybe you're making her a terrible writer?" Adagio joked. "Point taken," I said. I thought about our next move and decided to pack up and head back over to Canterlot High. "Wait, where are you going?" Sonata asked, grabbing the booklet. "We're going back to the school. I'd like you to meet this Sentry Bright personally. Maybe then it'll make more sense," I said as the Dazzlings followed me out of our Ship and our secret cave. The Dazzlings forgot how long of a walk it was from here to the school, but not me (considering I was there earlier). When we got there, I halted the Dazzlings. "I think it would be best if we snuck in there," I whispered, as we examined outside the school building. Just because I fixed the Dazzling's spirits after losing their gems, doesn't mean I changed how the school views them. So, we still had to keep incognito. As we snuck, we heard the sound of a school meeting inside the auditorium, where Principal Celestia was holding a speech for all unenthusiastic students. "Since the games happen every four years, you're likely curious what's going to happen," Principal Celestia announced, as the school sounded so...dis-interested. For once, I wondered why. "You mean other than us losing?" Flash Sentry called out. None of the classmates laughed at it. I looked back at Adagio and back inside the door. I knew where all this was coming from, and I knew what I had to do. Principle Celestia handed the microphone off to Rainbow Dash, who had something planned. "Thank you, Princaple Celestia," Rainbow Dash said, before the microphone was yanked out of her hands telekinetically, and into my own. "No, thank you," I remarked, as I made my way upstairs, with the Dazzlings sneaking backstage. "Hello there!" I proudly proclaimed before being barraged by boos, jeers, and wads of paper. Except for one kid who responded with "General Kenobi". I chuckled to myself and called him out "You're breathtaking!" I proclaimed before getting back to what I was about to say. "Now, I know you guys don't like me, and that's because I brought the Dazzlings back," I explained. "Yeah, which is exactly why we shouldn't trust you!" Sunset Shimmer yelled as if I was undoing all the school's hard work. "If you don't mind! Anyway, the reason why I came here and helped the Dazzlings specifically is that their spirits have been broken. They barely had a place to go and jobs to support themselves since their pendants were destroyed. But now that I look back at all of you, I can see why. Your spirits have been long broken by the Shadowbolts time and again. No wonder you retaliated on the Dazzlings like that!" I said as Flash Sentry rolled his eyes. Everyone else was actually starting to feel a little guilty for themselves. "But since I came here to mend the broken spirits of three lost girls, I thought it would be nice to mend the spirits of an entire school! Who's with me?" I yelled, in which everyone, with the exception of a few, got up and applauded before sitting back down. "And just how do you plan on fixing the school's spirit?" Principal Celestia asked, suspicious of my powers. "You better not do something like make anyone cheat," Vice Principal Luna responded. "Oh, heavens no. Not my intention at all. I just thought I'd make them more fun for everyone," I explained, before being knocked back by a red beam of Magic. Adagio gasped at the attack. "You were a fool to come out and deceive the school like that," Sentry Bright proclaimed pointing her staff at me. "And what makes you think he's lying?" Adagio asked, with Aria and Sonata closeby. "I'm just plain hurt that you wouldn't trust me after everything that I said. That, and blasting me like that. That was not cool," I said, holding my side as I got up. Sentry Bright cast a spell on me, causing me to glow a bright red before it faded away. "Interesting. You are telling the truth. In which case, I shall watch over you and the Dazzlings in case you step out of line," Sentry Blast said, as she left the stage. Sentry then disappeared beside the bleachers. "Right, sorry about that everyone," I said as if it was nothing. A few people chuckled, and I continued my speech. "So, I have specific instructions for all of you, since you don't like losing to the Shadowbolts all that much. My advice: Just make friends with them. You're good at that. And you shouldn't get all salty if you lose a game or the games in general. That's bad sportsmanship. I should know. Only then will the Friendship Games be way better than you think they're going to be," I advised as I passed off the microphone to Principal Celestia as the Dazzlings followed me out the backstage. Meanwhile, Sunset Shimmer took Sentry Bright out where nobody was in the school building. "I apologize for the attack, Creator Sunset. I just thought I would--" Sentry Bright said, bowing to Sunset like a queen. "No, you're fine. Though I don't advise you do it again. What worries me is his honesty. BenSwolo said before that he was gonna ruin the Friendship Games. Maybe he lied about ruining then?" Sunset asked as she pondered away at the greater mystery. "Or maybe this is how he ruins it. By lifting their spirits" Sentry Bright said, theorizing. Also Meanwhile, Flash Sentry waited out by the school waiting for someone. He kept a close eye out for any interlopers. "Uhh, Flash? I got the pictures you need," A young girl said, catching his attention. The young girl wore green, had green skin, and hair along with it. And she passed a handful of pictures off to Flash. "Thank you Wallflower. This is just what I needed," Flash said, as he saw the pictures; Pictures of my speech. He examined one of them closely and saw a small bit of fluffy orange hair: Adagio's hair. "Oh, I have you know," Flash Sentry muttered as if he had Adagio tied up on a silver platter. "So, what's the plan?" Wallflower Blush asked as she looked over the images with Flash. "Let's go fishing," Flash said, putting the images in his bag and headed off, with Wallflower close by. > Investigations > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- All were rowdy at Canterlot High as students were scrambling to get ready for the Friendship Games. Students up out practicing for the Games, cheerleading for the games, band instruments, all that school jazz. Meanwhile, Sonata followed me around, while Adagio and Aria were overseeing everyone. Just to make sure everyone got along. Quite a boring plan, but I'll take what I can get. And what we need right now is a sort of base of operations while the games go on. "Excuse me, Principal Celestia?" I asked as she took jotted things down on a clipboard for the games. "What is it you need?" Celestia asked, barely paying attention. "We were wondering if you could give us an empty classroom to use so I could operate in peace." I explained, averting Principal Celestia's attention away. "You'd rather write in your little book than watch the games?" Celestia asked. "I'd rather write in my little book to watch the games. I don't have to be everywhere to narrate something," I said. Principal Celestia sighed. "Very well. You can use my office for the time being," Celestia responded. I saluted the Principal and headed there ASAP. "Hey, BenSwolo? Can I ask you a question?" Sonata asked as we entered Celestia's office. "I mean, you already did," I replied, jotting down my ideas in my notebook "I just wanted to ask, do you think you could give us more to do? We really haven't had anything to do since you set your sight on these games," Sonata said, quietly pouting. I reread the chapters and realized I really haven't given the Dazzlings any time in the spotlight. And they're supposed to be main characters of this story. I felt so bad as to not give my supposed love interests any time to shine. "Oh, I am so sorry about that. I completely forgot to give you any time to shine and--" I said, still rereading before Sonata lunged at me with a strong hug. "It's OK. As long as you can fix it. And I know you can," Sonata said, finally letting me go. Seriously, has she been working out? This hug was a lot stronger than the last one. "OK, I have a mission for you, as it were," I said, sitting down in the principal's chair. "Let's hear it then," Sonata said, as I jotted the transpiring events in my notebook. "I need you to go out and help welcome the Crystal Prep students, and help both teams befriend one another," I said. Sonata saluted in response as she headed out. "One more thing before you go," I said, as Sonata almost made her way out "Be careful. There are characters that shouldn't exist yet that are existing now. So keep your eyes out," I said. Sonata didn't know what I meant but watched out for anyone suspicious. As she headed out, Sonata met up with a handful of students waiting by the entrance of the school building, waiting to greet the Shadowbolts. And one of these students had her attention caught by Sonata. "Umm...excuse me?" the lone student asked, tapping Sonata on the shoulder and causing her to jump. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't see you there." Sonata explained. "It's OK. My name is Wallflower Blush by the way." The girl said, as she...well, blushed. "Oh, nice to meet you," Sonata said, paying no mind to Wallflower as she waited like a hunter looking for prey. "I've been thinking...and well, the whole school's been thinking, a lot about what your weird friend said. About us being too hard on you?" Wallflower said, diverting Sonata's attention. "What do you mean?" Sonata asked, confused. "Well, it's just that after what your friend said, we realized we were being way too hard on you back there, and I'd like to apologize to you and the Dazzlings on behalf of the school," Wallflower said as if getting a load off her chest. "I...I don't know what to say," Sonata said, almost tearing up. "Come with me. I have something I wanna show you, as sort of a token?" Wallflower said as Sonata hesitated. "I wish I could go, but I was told to stay here," Sonata said, sitting where she was. "Don't worry about us. We got it," One of the school students said, as Sonata followed Wallflower to the girl's bathroom. "OK, what is it you wanted to show me?" Sonata asked, excited for, frankly anything. "This!" Wallflower yelled as she shoved a white cloth in Sonata's face, rendering her unconscious. Once Sonata passed out, Wallflower threw the hankie away and washed her hands, dragging Sonata out of the bathroom, making sure no one was around. Well, except for... "Did you get her?" Flash Sentry asked, leaning up against a locker. "Got her right here," Wallflower said, carrying the unconscious siren. "Good. One down, two to go," Flash said, as the two miscreants hauled Sonata off to an unknown location. Meanwhile, Adagio and Aria made it to the Principal's office, where I continued writing. "Hey there BenSwolo? Anything good happened yet?" Adagio asked, jumping me a little. "No. Nothing good. Bad. Very bad." I muttered as I continued writing. "Bad? What kind of bad?" Aria asked as she remained slightly cautious. She was gonna have to be more cautious than before. "Flash Sentry just kidnapped Sonata," I said, causing Adagio and Aria to gasp in shock. Adagio even teared up a little. "I can't believe it," Adagio said, walking slowly away to cry to herself. "Well, can you find out where she is?" Aria asked, heart racing. "The last place she was at was the girl's bathroom," I explained, as Aria rushed out there to investigate the crime scene. I decided it would be best while I comforted Sonata. "Hey, you OK?" I asked, gently placing my hand on Adagio's back. "OK? How could I be OK? One of my bandmates...No...One of my closest friends just went missing, and we don't know where she went!" Adagio yelled, barely holding back tears. Once she stopped yelling, she continued crying while I comforted her silently. "We'll get her back. What makes you think we can't?" I asked quietly, as Adagio calmed down, wiping away her tears. "I'm just sorry I couldn't do anything to stop this," I said, still comforting Adagio. > Kidnappings > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Adagio and I, after learning about Sonata's Kidnapping, decided it would be best to warn Principal Celestia of the occurring events. As the two of us rushed over, we were frozen in place by a red light. Gosh, darn it! Sentry Bright got in the way. Now I know how Villains feel when their archenemy shows up. "Halt, author! What deeds are you up to?" Sentry interrogated, pointing her staff at me and Adagio as a handful of students watched on. "Sentry! What's going on here?" Sunset Shimmer asked, as the rest of the Rainbooms followed, and, to Adagio's surprise, Twilight. This world's Twilight, not Equestria's Twilight. "What in the--?" Twilight asked in shock as she could not comprehend what's happening. I tilted my head at her. Isn't she supposed to absorb magic or something? And then it hit me. My intervention with Twilight and the Portal ruined the scientific amulet and therefore ruined any chance of her becoming Midnight Twilight. I was originally thinking of some crazy over the top climax with her, but with her out of the way, I realized my mission was complete. I had successfully ruined the Friendship Games. "We're on our way to warn Principal Celestia of something terrible that has happened," Adagio warned, still frozen in place. "She's busy with Principal Cinch," Applejack commented. I rolled my eyes at the lame excuse to put her in this story for just a bit of exposition. I totally could do better than that. "Just what is it you wanted to tell her?" Sunset interrogated, crossing her arms at us. "If you have your pet here let us go, I can show you, rather than tell you," I offered. "What are you doing?" Adagio whispered as the Rainbooms all watched. "Why would you do that?" Twilight asked. "As an author, it's better to show, not tell. So, I'd rather show you, rather than tell you," I said, as Sunset thought it over. Sentry Bright looked over at her creator waiting for a response. Sunset turned to her little mage and nodded, causing Sentry to free us from her holding spell. Just then, I lend Sunset my notebook. "Just read the chapter just before this one. You won't believe your eyes," I instructed as Sunset read on ahead, with Twilight reading over her shoulder. Just then, Sunset's eyes filled with shock, as she started tearing up. She closed the book and handed it back to me. "Just...just go. I just..." Sunset said, before completely tearing up and running off to be by herself. "What just happened there?" Fluttershy asked as I headed off with Adagio. "Something Sunset didn't want to see, I guess," Adagio explained as we headed off to meet up with the Principal. Or rather, Principals. "Principal Celestia, if we may, we have a bit of an emergency," Adagio asked, as Celestia was giving her tour of the school to Principal Cinch. Good thing I didn't need a tour. I got plot armor for that. "What is it now?" Principal Celestia whispered to us as if it wasn't urgent. "Sonata's been kidnapped!" Adagio explained, shocking Principal Celestia. "Oh, I'm...sorry to hear that," Celestia responded, clearly unprepared for this sort of event. "A kidnapping, you say? My, my, you really need to discipline your students more," Principal Cinch commented as I glared my eyes at her. I didn't dislike her because of her corrupt twisted nature. I disliked her because she's a bland copy of Dolores Umbridge mixed with Emperor Palpatine. Come on! We can have better villains than her! "Well, do you know who kidnapped her?" Celestia asked, trying to take matters in her hands. "It's Flash Sentry," I said, as Celestia stroked her chin. "I'll make sure everyone be on the lookout for them," Celestia said as she headed down to...I forgot we turned it into our base. Anyway, she headed down there ASAP. Meanwhile, Sonata woke up tied to a metal chair, which was being held down with large stones. "Look who's finally awake," Flash said as he examined Sonata with an incredible amount of spite. "Flash? What's going on?" Sonata asked as Flash stroked Sonata's cheek. "I'll tell you when your fishy friends are here with you," Flash explained, as he followed the stroking with a slap to Sonata's face, causing her to tear up. Suddenly, a voice came up on the intercom. "Attention all students! Please be on the lookout for Flash Sentry as he has recently kidnapped Sonata Dusk in an unknown location," The intercom blared, as Flash got only angrier. "I guess you kidnapping me got narrated. AntiBronyBenSwolo's already on your tail," Sonata mocked, as Flash was getting ready to hit her again, but decided not to. Suddenly, a banging was heard on the door, as Flash was prepared to face off against a mob. But fortunately, it was his minion, Wallflower Blush. "Guess who came crawling to investigate the crime scene?" Wallflower Blush asked as she carried Aria Blaze unconscious, and into their secret room. The two ner do wells worked together to tie Aria up the same way Sonata is tied. "Well, guess all that's left is your lead singer," Flash said, mocking Sonata as she could only feel worried for her. Meanwhile, Sunset sat on the front porch of the school, sobbing at this turn of events as Fluttershy comforted her. "Hey, I'm sorry for what happened with Flash. I didn't think he would--" Fluttershy said, as Sunset snapped. "Of course nobody thought he would! How would he do something like this? I just--" Sunset said, as she got up and rammed her fist into the wall in rage. She got back down and continued crying. As she cried, Adagio came out of the door to check on the situation. "Hey, are you OK?" Adagio asked, patting Sunset on the back. "No! I'm not OK! In fact, how are you OK? Your backup singer is missing!" Sunset yelled, backing Adagio off. "To be honest, I'm having a hard time dealing with this as well," Adagio said, calming down Sunset by hugging her. Sunset hugged back as the two sat down and waited. Just then, I came out followed by Sentry Bright. "You find anything?" Adagio asked. "No. Only more bad news," I explained, as Sentry Bright fiddled with her staff. "Aria's been captured as well," Sentry Bright said, shocking both Sunset and Adagio. "Oh no!" Fluttershy muttered to herself as Sunset and Adagio were speechless. "We have come to the conclusion that Flash is after all of the Dazzlings, so Sentry Bright believes it would be best if she acted as your guardian," I explained to Adagio as I patted her on the back. Adagio let out a sigh. "I don't think we have any other choice," Adagio said as the five of us headed back inside to process all this hard news. And prepare for another attack. > Red Alert > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Attention all Students. Please report to your nearest classroom. This is code red. Repeat, this is code red!" The intercom blared as students were rushing inside, as they panicked over the recent news of Sonata, and later Aria's kidnappings. Doors were locked tight as the students, both Wondercolt and Shadowbolt started panicking. At this rate, the Friendship Games might as well be postponed. However, I took a moment to myself to reflect at everything going on. Flash Sentry gone bad? Two rival schools being brought together? Sunset creating a fictional character to stop me? Was it really worth me literally inserting myself inside a pocket dimension of sorts just to compensate for real-life relationship problems? I sighed to myself as I walked slowly back to the Principal's office. And then, I heard the voices again. "Use your power...Free me..." The mysterious voice in my head echoed as I tried to think of who it could be. But as I thought, I fought against the idea, out of fear for an antagonist worst than Flash. The best I could do was ignore it. But I couldn't. The school is in danger, and I'm indirectly the cause. I could also solve the problem with a snap, but that wouldn't be any better. Just makes the situation too easy, and the story short. As I ignored the voices, I opened the door to the Principal's office and met up with Adagio, Sentry Bright, and Sunset, who was trying to figure out where Flash was. And where Flash was, Sonata and Aria had to be. The clock was ticking for them. "OK, here's a map to the school," Sunset said, pulling out a small image of the school plans. "We can eliminate our current location," Sentry commentated, as Sunset promptly placed a red X on the Principal's office on the map. Adagio's eyes lit up silently as I entered the room. "Is it even a mystery with BenSwolo over here?" Adagio asked Sunset and Sentry, as they looked on in a puzzled manner. "I mean, sure, he can control reality, but I'm not sure he can figure out where Flash and the others even are without a few clues or something," Sunset commented as Adagio tossed the map aside. "That's just it. He's a fanfic author. So not only should he know where they are, but it's totally up to him where they are," Adagio explained as Sentry Bright looked back at the map. "How will we know this devilry your friend has will work?" Sentry asked, glaring at Adagio. "I've seen him use this ability during a treasure hunt we had," Adagio explained. "Wait, you went on a treasure hunt?" Sunset asked. Adagio was upset by the slight change of topic. "Anyways, if AntiBronyBenSwolo hasn't established where they are yet, then he has the chance to do that now and we can rescue the girls," Adagio said excitedly as Sunset thought the plan over. "Are you sure your friend is up to the task? He doesn't seem invested in our meeting," Sentry explained, as I sat alone with my thought writing away in my notebook. "He's like that a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if he's narrating this scene right now," Adagio said, walking towards me. "Hey, you got that all down?" Adagio asked me as she patted me on the shoulders, briefly interrupting me. "Yeah, I got it," I said, readjusting myself to continue writing. Adagio looked on at me with concern. "Hey, you alright?" Adagio asked, placing her hand on my shoulder. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just...overwhelmed," I explained as I continued writing. "Overwhelmed by what?" Adagio asked. I sighed in disappointment. Not at her, but at myself. "It's just I have so many ideas and so little time to write them. If I'm not careful, I could have every idea occur and reality will just collapse in on itself and the story is ruined," I explained, as Adagio sighed at my problem. She couldn't possibly relate, because she was no writer (Sorry Adagio), but she did her best to comfort me. "Well, maybe we could use a few right now. It can't be that bad. Right?" Adagio said, hoping that would help. To be honest, I did have a plan for this specific moment, but it was super risky. For the Dazzlings at least. And I wouldn't risk that. My question is, would Adagio risk it? As I wrote this, Adagio read it over my shoulder. "So, what's the plan?" Adagio asked as I thought over if I should go over it or not. "I don't wish to tell you, as it'll ruin the surprise. But if you want to go with it, you're gonna have to trust me, alright?" I asked as I held my hand out to Adagio for her to shake. "I'll just do anything to get my friends back," Adagio sighed as she grabbed my hand and I got up from my seat. The two of us walked over to Sunset and Sentry. "I take it you two have a plan, BenSwolo?" Sunset asked, Sentry firmly standing behind her. "We do," I smiled as I headed out the door, despite the red alert. Adagio, Sentry, and Sunset looked on at me in shock "Are you crazy?" Sunset asked as I walked out the door. "If you wanna stop Flash Sentry, you're gonna have to bear with me," I explained as Adagio followed me closeby. Sunset and Sentry, not so much. But Sentry was following Adagio closeby as she was meant to protect her. "You never told us what the plan is," Sentry said, grasping her staff tightly. "He doesn't want to spoil any surprises at the moment," Adagio explained as we toured the halls. As we wandered, we were being watched closely. "OK, let's split up and cover more ground. BenSwolo, you're with me. Sentry Bright, you're with Adagio," Sunset proclaimed as a form of questioning my plan. "Wait, why are you in charge, Sunset?" Adagio asked all of a sudden as I walked over to Sunset. "Let's just go with it," I said, winking to Adagio as Sunset and I headed down another hall, leaving Sentry Bright and Adagio to search the other end. "Don't you get the feeling this is all so rushed?" Sentry asked Adagio as they wandered seemingly aimlessly. "I'm just trying to figure out why I feel like I'm being watched," Adagio explained, keeping her eyes out upfront. "Let's hope you don't find out," Wallflower Blush said, as she gagged a handkerchief in Adagio's face, causing her to faint. Sentry Bright gasped in shock. "Wha--Who are you?" Sentry Bright said, blasting a bright red beam in Wallflower's direction. But Wallflower dodged and grabbed a hold of Sentry's staff. After a few hard pulls from both girls, Wallflower swung the staff out of Sentry Bright's hand and knocked her upside the head with the red crystal. "Oh, I'm sorry. Wait, no I'm not," Wallflower said, confused about her apology, and carried Adagio away. She did attempt to carry Adagio's body with the magic staff in her hand, but couldn't find out how it worked. As she carried Adagio away, Sunset and I watched closely. Sunset was getting all fidgety at the sight. "Can we go now?" Sunset asked as we watched from our safe distance. Wallflower headed toward a large room at the end of the hall. That must be where Flash is keeping the Dazzlings. Wallflower carried the unconscious body into the room and closed the door. "OK, now we can," I said, as Sunset ran over to Sentry Bright's unconscious body. "Sentry, are you alright?" Sunset asked, cradling Sentry's body. Sentry coughed and held her head in pain. "My head. Someone got to Adagio. I'm afraid I failed to protect her," Sentry Bright moaned as I looked on to the door of the room everyone else was in. "Forget failing to protect Adagio, they have your staff," I explained, keeping an eye out. "What? We can't have that madman have my staff. He could corrupt it with Dark Magic!" Sunset explained as I turned around. "Why didn't you tell me that before I wrote all this down? Wait, nevermind. It was for exposition purposes," I said as the three of us walked up to the door. We looked in and saw...nothing. Except for a note. We got into the door and the room was filled with dark smoke, with a little blue light. Sunset peered down and picked up the note. Meet us in the Auditorium if you want to see your "friends" again. Come alone! This isn't between me and Sunset or Twilight. Just between me and you AntiBronyBenSwolo. Signed, Flash Sentry. P.S. You should get some sort of name-change. I don't think anyone could stand saying that mouthful Sunset sighed as she read the note, as she passed it off to me. I was afraid this would happen. And now it looks like I'm going with this idea. Let's make it count. > It's Showtime > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I headed into the auditorium, which was incredibly darker the last time I entered it. Sunset and Sentry did the honorable thing and stayed behind, just to make sure nothing bad happened. I could barely see anything or anyone in here. However, as I wrote that little detail, three large spotlights blasted in my face, blinding me for a good 5 seconds. The spotlights slowly changed direction from me to the stage, where the Dazzlings were suspended in the air by rope. "I take it this is part of your plan?" Adagio yelled as I rubbed the light out of my eyes, so I could continue writing. "The plan was just to find everyone, not necessarily how to deal with this," I shrugged sheepishly, as a cloud of black smoke apparated, and out from the cloud appeared Flash Sentry wielding Sentry Bright's staff. However, the staff's appearance changed. Instead of the staff being white with a red crystal, it changed to black with a blue crystal. I think this must have been this "Dark Magic" Sunset was referring to. "Then you must be a really poor planner if you actually took my note's suggestion, Ben," Flash mocked, pointing the corrupted staff at me. "Are you really gonna call me Ben?" I asked, almost offended. "Well, you call yourself AntiBronyBenSwolo, right? So...your name must be Ben, right?" Flash said. That was some terrible logic. And this is coming from a guy who pulled oranges out of Adagio's hair! "Well, it's not!" I yelled, as Flash facepalmed. "Then why do you call yourself that?" Flash yelled as he rubbed his temple. "I did it for the meme!" I said, pouting at his assumption, as Flash finished rubbing his temple. "Anyway, what do you want with me?" I asked Flash, as he was slightly upset I didn't stand down immediately. "Well, it's not really what I want from you. It's what I want from the Dazzlings," Flash explained, piquing the Dazzling's interest. "Well, what is it you want from us then?" Sonata asked as Flash stroked Sonata's chin with the tip of his staff. He continued circling the Dazzlings, intimidating the three girls "You were the one who hypnotized the whole school. You were the one who made me mad at my girlfriend. Therefore, you are the one responsible for making me break up with her!" Flash declared as lightning shot up out of the crystal. "So, this is your typical revenge story?" I asked as Flash redirected his anger from the Dazzlings back at me. "I've seen the way they act around you. You're their knight in shining armor. Their protector. Protecting them from the justice they deserve," Flash said, raising his voice at me. "Did you not just hear me? I just said this is revenge," I asked, chuckling a little. I don't recall Flash ever getting this corny in the original "Friendship Games". "So...what are you going to do, now that you have the four of us here?" Aria asked as Flash aimed the crystal end of the staff at me. "You took what I loved, and now I'm gonna take what you love," Flash declared, firing a blue blast of magic at me. I ducked and rolled out of the way, preparing to dodge again. The Dazzlings couldn't stand and watch the fight, though they had no choice but to do so. Flash fired another blue blast, this time, knocking me off balance. "Woah, hey. Watch the magic there," I said nonchalantly, infuriating Flash...again. Seriously, this guy needs to take a chill pill. "Either fight back or sit still so I can hit you!" Flash yelled, charging up a large blast of magic. I stood confidently, readying my pen. "Didn't anyone ever tell you that the pen is mightier than the sword?" I asked, holding my pen out. Flash released his large blast of magic, as I stood still. I aimed my pen back at him and fired a gold stream of energy, catching the blue beam, and pushed the magical clash in between the two of us. Flash pushed hard, as did I, but we were too equally matched. Well, realistically speaking, I can manipulate the outcome, therefore I'm the stronger one, but let's not get ahead of ourselves here. As we pushed each others beams back at one another, a few gold sparks flew out of my pen and past Flash, though he was too angry to notice. The gold sparks headed toward the ropes suspending the Dazzlings, and cut them down, freeing them. "Alright, we're back in the game!" Aria said as Adagio continued to spectate the fight, without being caught by Flash. "Well, what do we do now?" Sonata asked, shielding her eyes from the crazy laser show going on. As the girls thought of a plan, they were confronted by Wallflower Blush, who I kinda forgot should be in this scene. I didn't really think of what to do with her other than this. I think she was the one controlling the spotlights. "Hey, what are you--?" Wallflower confronted the Dazzlings until Sonata and Aria stood behind Adagio, making Wallflower realize she was outnumbered. And outmatched. "You really gonna try this out with us?" Adagio asked, starting to crack her knuckled. Wallflower gulped and nervously tapped her fingers. "I'm just gonna leave now," Wallflower said, as he slowly walked out of the school without anyone noticing. "Yeah, you go do that," Sonata said. As Wallflower left, the girls jumped off the auditorium and decided to join the fight. Though I wish they didn't. "Hey Flash!" Adagio called out. Flash turned around, halting his beam. This caused my golden beam to ram right into him, knocking him back. I stood back in shock. I didn't mean for my beam to be that strong. Taking the time, the girls all ran up to me and group hugged me. "Oh, it's so good to see you! I thought we would never see you again!" Adagio, Aria, and Sonata all said at once. Well, not exactly. They were all talking at once, and I couldn't understand all of it. My point is, what they were saying was along the lines of...well...those lines. "Enough!" Flash declared, his eyes glowing blue like the crystal, using his magic to levitate himself up high. I couldn't tell if all the magic had gone to his head, if he's just trying to make himself look scary, or if I'm running out of ideas. He pointed his staff at me and prepared to fire. "What's the plan?" Sonata asked as the girls braced for some sort of impact. I looked out and saw the door, brimming with outside light. "Spread out!" I yelled, as the four of us split direction and scattered. Sonata headed out the back door, Aria headed out another door, and Adagio followed me out the gym door. Flash blasted the door down with magic and levitated himself around to follow us. Adagio and I ran outside and headed toward the mirror! "OK, what now?" Adagio asked as Flash levitated over to us. The most I could do is hold him off. Sonata ran out to where the Friendship Games were supposed to be and noticed Flash wasn't following her. As safe as she was, for the time being, she couldn't shake the feeling something needed to be done. As she pondered step two of this plan I told them nothing about, she heard footsteps coming up to her. "Sonata! There you are!" Aria exclaimed, with Sunset and Sentry Bright following closeby. "Aria! Sunset! Whatever your name is!" Sonata said, coming out of her hiding spot, and embracing Aria with a hug. "You know what the plan is?" Aria asked as Sonata was flustered with confusion. "I thought you knew what the plan was," Sonata replied. "To be honest, I thought you both knew what the plan was," Sentry Bright responded. Sunset scratched behind her head in embarrassment. "I think I got a plan if BenSwolo didn't tell you what it is," Sunset offered, as Aria and Sonata turned their attention to Sunset. "And that would be?" Aria asked as Sunset pulled out her notebook. The one she uses to contact Equestria. The one she used to warn Twilight of the Dazzlings. "This book was used to summon Princess Twilight from Equestria. If I can put this on the mirror, then I can summon Twilight and she can help stop Flash," Sunset explained as Sentry looked back at Sonata and Aria. "Are you sure that'll work?" Sonata asked, concerned for Adagio and me. "I have no idea," Sunset said, as Sentry sighed. "Well, it's better than nothing," Sentry Bright said, as the four girls headed out to the statue. I just gotta buy them enough time for everything to fall into place. > Twilight > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flash glared the two of us down as he fired a powerful blue beam at Adagio and I. I was able to delay the blast by drawing a magical bubble to protect the two of us, though it wasn't quite enough as the bubble started to crack. Seeing as we didn't have enough time, I pulled out my book and re-read the previous chapter. Specifically, the part where Aria, Sonata, Sunset, and Sentry devise a plan to stop Flash. Speaking of plans... "You said you have a plan?" Adagio asked as the bubble cracked more and more by the passing seconds. "Technically, I do, but I allowed the others to devise it. Here, read this," I explained, as I passed my book onto her so she could read the plan. Telling by the shock on her face, Adagio wasn't quite sure how to feel about this plan. "So, we just have to stall Flash until Sunset gets here?" Adagio checked again, bringing my attention to the crack in the giant bubble growing bigger and bigger, even splintering some of the hard light. "I don't think we have much of a choice," I said as I drew a turret into existence outside of the bubble to distract Flash's mad rampage. The turret fired blasts of colored energy, breaking Flash's concentration. "You think this is gonna stop me?" Flash asked as he encased himself in a stronger bubble and fired a beam, destroying the turret in one fell swoop. With the turret out of the way, Flash turned his attention back to me only to find the bubble fully repaired, and encased in a larger magic bubble. "No, but you are gonna have to start all over on this," I sarcastically shrugged, as Adagio snickered at Flash's infuriated face. Enraged, Flash fired a similar beam to the previous one, though unable to see both bubbles being able to buy us, and more specifically, Sunset, more time to get here. Sunset, Sentry, Aria, and Sonata crept alongside the side of the school building, able to witness Flash firing his beam at the magic bubble, encasing Adagio and me. "Great! How are we gonna sneak past Flash to summon Twilight?" Sonata whispered as Sunset was writing in her book to contact Twilight. "I just made contact with Twilight. She'll meet us at the portal and wait for us to summon her," Sunset explained as Sentry Bright surveyed the scene. "We still need to get past this carnage," Sentry pointed out, as Flash's beam was breaking down the bubble more. Aria and Sonata examined the scene for themselves as they noted that I was jotting furiously in my notebook to keep the bubble stable. As I wrote, a dawning thought suddenly hit Sonata. "Plot Armor," Sonata whispered as Aria looked at Sonata funny. "Sonata, what are you--" Sunset asked, as Sentry turned her attention to Sonata. "That's just it! Plot Armor! Aria, remember on our first day back to school, and everyone barely recognized us?" Sonata asked, shaking Aria violently. "Err...yes?" Aria said, trying to figure out where her fellow siren was going with this. "Swolo explained to us that he put some sort of plot armor on us that made it so we weren't immediately humiliated!" Sonata screamed like a spastic manic, as the dawning thought finally his Aria in the same way. "Wait, so you're saying all we need to do is walk past him?" Sunset asked as Sentry Bright pondered this thought. "And more importantly, how durable is this armor?" Sentry asked, thinking it might be actual armor. Aria turned to Sonata with the same thought. "As durable as it needs to be," Aria grinned as they began to take Sunset's book to the portal. The beam hailed fire on the golden bubble, breaking through the first one and starting to break through the second one. I pondered furiously about how to hold him off just a little bit longer. "It's no use. Just give up this little fight you put up!" Flash bellowed as he prepared to make his beam stronger. "Gonna need some help here. I think I might be running out of ideas here," I suggested to Adagio as she looked at me in shock. "What do you mean? You can't be out of ideas like that!" Adagio panicked as she examined the beam breaking through. I tried summoning another larger bubble, but the intensity of the beam was too much to finish it up, leaving us with our current bubble breaking down. "I do have one, and I just wrote it down, but I'm gonna need more if we're to hold him off," I confessed as I tried to think up of something to hold him off. "Well, I think I have one," Adagio said, as she got close to me. "What are you talking--" I asked before she pressed her lips up against mine and HOLY COW she is kissing me right on the lips and I am starting to lose track of everything and the world might just implode because I got kissed and this never happens to me and-- Adagio pressed her lips up against mine as I had no choice but to accept my fate and let this happen. I held Adagio in a final embrace if this were the end. Just me and Adagio together. Granted, this kiss was uncalled for, and I most likely should have waited a little longer for this to happen in order to form stronger relationships and whatnot. "What are you doing?" Flash asked, disgusted by the kiss that he just witnessed. The shields were broken down, but the beam stopped firing, so I suppose this bought us more time. I looked back at him ready to fight, but Adagio looked back with that "I beat you before you realized it" face. "Distracting you, dummy," Adagio answered, pointing off to the side with her thumb. Flash and I looked off to the mirror, where Sonata and Aria looked out waving at Flash mockingly, while Sunset and Sentry applied the book to the portal. "Here's Twily!!!" Sunset called out, as the portal glowed, and a figure stepped through. The figure of Twilight Sparkle. Everyone peered back at Flash victoriously, with the exception of Twilight, who was shocked, disgusted, enraged, and saddened by Flash's descent into Dark Magic. "Twilight! It's so glad to--" Flash tried to say, embracing Twilight in a hug, though Twilight backed out in fear. "Flash? What's happened to you?" Twilight asked as if she never knew Flash. Flash looked back at the staff he stole and realized his downfall. "Twilight, I can explain," Flash tried to say before Twilight ran off into the school building in a sob. "Twilight, NO!!!" Flash yelled as he realized it was too late. He stole the staff. He plotted revenge. He bribed a student. He was no better than either the Dazzlings or even how Sunset once was. Sunset looked on at Twilight's despair and looked on at me. "I'll take care of her," Sunset explained to me as she ran off to take care of her friend. Flash looked on at the fearful Twilight and felt more rage than ever, and he was directing it at me. "YOU! YOU did this to me! You turned me evil! And I will never stop until--" Flash bellowed on, pointing the staff at me before Sentry reclaimed the staff for herself, her pure essence changing the crystal from the evil blue to the bright red it's intention was and aimed the staff at Flash Sentry. "I do not think so. And now you shall pay for your crimes," Sentry bellowed, casting a spell at Flash and encasing him in a scarlet field of magic, making him unable to move. "This should hold you until the proper authorities arrive," Sentry explained as Adagio and I looked on at Sentry. "Nice catch there, Hero. You mind if I call you that?" Adagio asked, as Sentry proudly held her staff like a flag. "I do not mind. And I believe I owe you and the Dazzlings and apology for my mistrust of you, and my thanks for your assistance in besting this vile boy," Sentry proclaimed as I chuckled a little to myself. "Well, I must say, it has been an honor working with you," I expressed with a bow, as Sentry bowed at me back. She headed off to the school building to meet up with Sunset, only for Sunset to come back out and explain the whole situation with both Twilights. After looking at those three, I realized I probably was rushing way too fast with this ending. "...And this is what all the trouble was about," Sunset explained as Equestria's Twilight stopped crying while the Human Twilight comforted her. "It is nice to meet you Princess Twilight. It's nice to see you again other Twilight," I said, Adagio just following along like an RPG companion. "Hey there," Human Twilight responded, as Princess Twilight examined me. "So, you can control reality by writing stuff down. Are you by any chance related to Discord?" Twilight asked as I chuckled to myself. "No, I'm just a fanfiction writer just doing my thing," I explained as Twilight examined me a little more. "Just one thing. You said you'd ruin the Friendship Games, and you ended up saving the school. Why did you say that?" Sunset asked as I reread the previous chapters to make sure I'm up to speed on my own story. "None of this was supposed to happen, honestly. Human Twilight was supposed to go evil, not Flash. No offense meant, of course," I explained. "None taken, I guess," Human Twilight uttered as she brushed her hair off sheepishly. And with that, Sunset turned back to me no longer with the face of a rival. "One more thing. I'm sorry I conspired against you, So, I guess we're friends now?" Sunset said, holding her hand out for a shake. I reluctantly shook her hand in agreement, as she really no longer proved to be a threat. And with that, Sunset, Sentry, and both Twilights headed back into the school to discuss whatever. And all that's left to wrap this story is for me to talk to my main cast. How could I forget to tie up the loose ends with the Dazzlings like that if they're meant to be that important of characters to the story? "Hey, I guess that's a wrap, huh?" Adagio asked, leaning her elbow on my shoulder. Aria walked over victorious while Sonata hoisted me up and spun me around like a doll. "WE DID IT! WE DID IT! WE DID IT! WE DID IT!" Sonata sang as she danced around like a child. "Sonata, please stop. We don't want to kill the guy, after all," Aria commented, as Sonata promptly let go of me. And I thought Aria had strong muscles. "But I'm so excited to get this over with! And excited about that epic kiss!!!" Sonata squealed in a fangirlish manner, while I blushed behind my book. I forgot that Aria and Sonata must have seen that. And I was just trying to forget that kiss ever happened. "Does that make us a thing now?" Adagio prompted as Aria and Sonata were awaiting my answer. Quite honestly, I forgot about how fair the Dazzlings were when it came to this relationship business, so they wouldn't have minded if I said yes. But it was still a tough decision to make, making me blush harder and harder. "I'd take that blushing into consideration if I were you," Aria winked at me as Adagio and Sonata giggled to themselves. "So, What do we do now?" Sonata asked as I continued jotting in my notebook. I still had many story ideas I needed to tell. "I'll see what I can do. In the meantime, let's just go home," I proposed as Sonata cheered as the three Dazzlings followed me home to our beloved pirate ship. "Can we stop for Tacos on the way?" Sonata asked as we began our trek. I merely chuckled at the request. "Sure thing," I said, as I finally finished this sequel. fin
