> Pixie Breeze's Story > by pixiebreeze > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Ch. 1- Welcome to the World > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ivory Wisp took another deep breath, as another contraction rippled through her body. The purple pegasus was going into labor. The blue stallion next to her squeezed her hoof, ruffling his wings. Ice Sweeper wanted to do more for his beloved wife, but at this point, there was nothing else to do but wait. After a while, Ivory was just about ready to begin pushing. Ice brushed a strand of his wife's dark pink mane out of her face, "You're doing great, babe." he said, squeezing her hoof. "Please, don't make me do this again!" Ivory groaned. Ice chucked a bit, "You said that with Windy and Casper, darling" The bedridden pegasus only let out a pain-filled yell in response, squeezing her husbands hoof as tight as she could. "That's it, push!" the doctor said, "..3, 2,1.... and relax. That was amazing, Ivory." "Okay, Okay, last one! Push! This is it!" The doctor said. "Here she is!" The pony scooped the little filly up, bringing her up to her new mother's chest, as nurses dried her off. Tears filled into the couple's eyes as the gazed down at their newborn daughter. The filly began to cry, stretching out her little wings. "She's a pegasus!" the pair said, in unison. They giggled, nuzzling each other. ----- The next day, Ivory Wisp was smiling, holding her sleeping little foal. The fillies coat was a cute shade of light blue. Her mane was a pretty lilac color with a few pieces of a darker shade of purple. She had unique white markings on all four of her hooves, the tips of her ears, and on her muzzle. The fillies eyes were two different shades of teal. Moments later, Ice Sweeper opened the door with a young tan earth pony bounding in. A slightly older, periwinkle unicorn trudged in behind and sat over by the window. "Mom!" the earth pony said, bouncing over to his mother's side. "Casper! I've missed you so much! How was school?" the purple pegasus asked, hugging her son. "It was good," Casper said, hugging his mother back, "It was hard to focus, cause I was so excited!" He giggled, peering down at the small, sleeping, bundle in his mothers' hooves. Ivory ruffled his mane, "you're a big brother!" she said. Ice nudged the clearly unhappy unicorn, "hey, kiddo, you're a big brother again! Go see your sister" The young pony scoffed, "psh, I don't care. I already was a big brother." The other stallion frowned slightly wrapping a hoof around his eldest son, "oh, come on now, Windy Glow.." Windy pushed his fathers' hoof away, "Don't touch me! It's just Wind.." he grumbled, turning away. Ice sighed, "Fine.." he mumbled, trotting over to his wife's bedside. Ivory sighed, "would you like to meet her, Wind?" she asked, hopefully. "No!" he said, harshly. "I want to meet her!" Casper said, gently clinging to his mother's arm, trying to get up onto the bed. Ice Sweeper helped the young colt up. The tan colt smiled as he looked at his sleeping sister. "She's so cute! What's her name?" He asked, looking up at his parents. Lilac chuckled, gently stroking the fillies purple mane, "Pixie Breeze" she smiled. Casper bent down to inspect the filly, "Pixie Breeze....it's perfect!" Casper gently nuzzled the small filly, "Hi, Pixie Breeze, I'm Casper Swirl!" He leaned up to her tiny ear, "Don't worry...I'll protect you from our older more grumpy brother, Windy Glow, over there. I promise." he said quietly. Wind's ears flicked. "Hey!" he yelled, quickly turning and glaring at his younger brother, "What did you just call me?!" He snarled, standing up and lighting his horn. Casper flinched, instinctively moving to cover his baby sister from his anger. "Excuse me!!" Ice Sweeper yelled. It was Windy's turn to flinch and his horn went out. The pegasus scowled at his son, "let's go on a walk." he said sternly. "Tch, whatever, it wasn't my fault." the unicorn said, trotting out of the room. Ice Sweeper sighed, following his son, leaving the rest of his family in peace. Casper turned to his mother, nuzzling into her, "I'll protect Pixie from him.." he mumbled. Ivory kissed the top of Casper's head. She sighed, bringing the filly closer to her, "Welcome to the family, Pixie Breeze." > Ch. 2- The First Day > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pixie was growing up fast! Ivory and Ice couldn't believe that she would start school today! The little pegasus hesitantly made her way down the hallway, into the kitchen. "Mommy? Do I have to go to school?" she asked, peeking around the corner. The purple pegasus was by the counter, packing her lunch. She paused and bent down by the filly, "Pixie, your brothers' go to school and didn't you say yesterday that you wanted to be just like them?" She said, smiling at her daughter. "Yea, like Cassie. Not Windy..he's mean to me..." the filly responded. Her mother sighed a bit, scooping up the filly, "Listen, Pix, you're going to love school! You'll make so many new friends that when they come over, there won't be enough snacks in the house for all of them!" Pixie giggled as her mother blew raspberries into her little belly. "Mommm!" the blue pegasus shrieked. Ivory smiled, setting the filly down. "Now, I'm almost done with your lunch, go get ready or we'll be late!" Pixie smiled, nodding and bounding down the hallway. --- Pixie took a shaky step into the schoolhouse. She paused, looking back at her mom. Ivory Wisp nodded encouragingly, waving her hoof. The little filly took a deep breath and trotted into the schoolhouse. The little filly quickly picked a seat, towards the back and by a window. She began to unpack her things as other colts and fillies began to arrive. --- During lunch, Pixie sat outside at a bench by herself. She unpacked her food and quietly ate. Her ears flicked as she heard hoof steps heading in her direction. She glanced up and saw a light tan unicorn with a long light blue mane. "Hi!" The other filly chirped, holding her sack lunch in her magic, "Can I sit with you? It's too crowded in the classroom.." she asked, looking at the pegasus. Pixie nodded, "Sure!" Pixie looked at the unicorn as she sat down beside her and unpacked her food, "What do you have for lunch?" she asked. The other pony looked back at the pegasus, "a cucumber sandwich and some daisy petals. What about you?" she asked, taking a bite of her sandwich. Pixie smiled, "I have a daffodil and daisy sandwich and some hay fries! I'm Pixie Breeze by the way" she said. "Oh, I'm Childheart!" the unicorn said, smiling back, "I really like your wings," she said, looking at the other pony's wings. Pixie ruffled her feathers, "Heh, thanks. I'm not very good at flying yet but someday I hope to be able to fly to the clouds! They just look so soft!" She giggled. The two fillies talked until their lunch break was over. The pair headed back inside and sat next to each other for the remainder of the class. Once the day was over, Pixie said goodbye to her new friend and quickly spotted her parents just outside the schoolyard. The pegasus excitedly bounded over to them, flapping her small wings. She couldn't wait to tell them about her day. Pixie smiled, she was going to like school. > Ch. 3- I Need Your Help > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Over the next few years, Pixie and Childheart had become as close as two ponies could be. They regularly had sleepovers and playdates. There wasn't a single thing that the two didn't tell each other. Including Pixie's ever-growing family issues. Her eldest brother, Windy Glow, had been very resentful towards Pixie. He was constantly teasing and bullying her. The young teenager was sitting at her desk in her room, quietly doing her homework. She was almost done when her eldest brother, Windy Glow burst through the door. Pixie jumped, dropping the pencil from her mouth. Pixie turned, glancing at him. "Yes...? Can I help you?" she mumbled. The older unicorn scoffed, mocking his younger sister, "Can I help you?? Uh, would I come in here for no reason?" Pixie sighed, turning back to her homework, picking her pencil back up. Windy lit his horn, swiftly taking the pencil away. "Hey!!" the pegasus protested, "Give that back! I have homework to finish!!" The unicorn quickly snapped the pencil with a quick jolt of his magic, "Oops.." he said, rolling his eyes. Windy Glow quickly spun the pegasus around in her chair, "I need your help...even a featherbrained, blank-flank like you could do it." he chuckled, lighting his horn. The unicorn quickly yanked the chair out from underneath Pixie. She landed in a heap of lanky limbs and feathers. The young pony grunted in frustration, untangling herself and standing up, "What was that for?" she protested, flaring her wings. Windy leaned in close, lighting his horn. Pixie flinched slightly, backing up into her desk, "What do you need my help with?" she asked, glancing away. The unicorn smirked, "There's this spell I've been practicing and I need to test it." he responded, his magic enveloping Pixie. "What the hay? Let me go!!" The pegasus protested, struggling to get out of her brothers magic. Windy ignored his sister, lifting her up. His horn began to spark as he cast the spell. Pixie flinched as she felt jolts of magic begin to sink into her little body. The unicorn grunted as he pushed his magic farther. His horn sparked wildly as the spell was pushed to its limits. Pixie felt the painful spell seep into her little body. Her wings flared and began to twitch, "Mommy!!" she yelled, not understanding why her brother was doing this. "Q-Quiet!" Windy yelled over the crackling and popping magic. His anger seeped into the spell but was too much for the unicorn to handle. With a loud pop and thud, the spell broke, sending the two ponies flying in opposite directions. Windy flew up, smacking into one of Pixie's shelves. He landed in a heap on the ground. His horn was hot and glowing from the spell. Pixie's crashed into her window, her wings and long limbs getting tangled up in the blinds. The blinds snapped, sending the little pegasus to the floor. Pixie groaned and twitched slightly as the spell zapped about inside her and on her coat. Ivory burst into the room, her eyes landing on her children, "ICE!" she yelled. The purple pegasus rushed over to Pixie, quickly untangling her from the broken blinds. Ice Sweeper rushed into the room, "Sweet Celestia! Not again, Windy...." the stallion exclaimed, rushing over to his son. The couple looked at each other and nodded silently. They scooped up their children and quickly trotted out of Pixie's room.
