Celestia’s Best Day Ever
Princess Twilight is reading one of her favorite books by the map of Equestria which is also where the portal to Sunset’s world is located. When it comes to her spare time, she always wants to impress Princess Celestia by improving her magic spells.
“I really need to show Princess Celestia more of student I am. Yes! I’m a princess but I missed those days when I was just a student.” She thought to herself.
The portal started to vibrate which caught Twilight’s attention. Once she turns around, both Sunset Shimmer and the other Twilight came out of the portal.
“Sunset? Other me?”
The two used to be humans looked at each other in concern. They know Twilight would be surprised since Sunset didn’t give her any messages from her journal.
“We need to talk.” Sunset said
“You want to meet Princess Celestia with...OTHER ME!!!” Princess Twilight reacted in shock. The three sat down by the map with the most unbearable idea that came to mind.
“Twilight, It was my friend’s idea.” Sunset explained. “We had a talk about it and when I told her I was going to Equestria to meet Princess Celestia, she wanted to go with me again.”
The two Twilights looked at each other yet again. This is similar to their trip to the Crystal Empire, but this is far bigger than that. The idea of a different Twilight meeting Princess Celestia is way more risky than meeting Flurry Heart and her parents.
“Other me.” Princess Twilight called. “Do you have any idea how dangerous this sounds?”
“I know but...I’m curious in this world, okay!” The outburst Human Twilight made Sunset lean back. Princess Twilight on the other hand knew her counterpart would make a reaction like that.
“You know something, everytime I see you like this, it reminds me of what I wanted to impress my idol.”
“Your idol?” Twilight tilted her head.
“Princess Celestia is Twilight’s idol.” Sunset added.
“Me and Celestia had a long history over the years. I always wanted to show how far I’ve come and since I’m a princess, I’ve had to...move on.”
Human Twilight was so confused from her counterpart but then again, the princesses duty never came to her mind when she thinks about Princess Twilight.
“Princess...me, I would understand what you mean, but the thing is, I barely have any knowledge of princesses.” Human Twilight lowered her ears. “When we went to the Crystal Empire weeks ago, It was still a tour in the kingdom and not a controversial meeting.”
“Yeah, you came up with the idea to have us meet the rulers of the kingdom.” Sunset replied.
Princess Twilight blushed in embarrassment. The idea never came to her and the reason she did it is because it was the only chance for that to happen. “Well…..Let’s just say I thought you had the idea Sunset.”
“Hey, I didn’t know Princess Cadance and Shining Armor were living in that kingdom.” Sunset retorted.
“My point is Princess Celestia isn’t going to be okay with this. We still need to keep both worlds apart.”
“You do have a point.” Human Twilight replied. For the next minute or so, the three ponies try to think about the idea to have two Twilights in Celestia’s castle without causing chaos. Last time was lucky while this on the other hand isn’t.
“But I will say this.” Princess Twilight spoke which got her friends attention. “I haven’t been in the Mirror World in a long time but even if I’m mostly busy, I still miss my…”
“Other friends?” Human Twilight asked.
“Yes. And Sunset, you probably feel the same way when you miss Princess Celestia.”
“It’s true.” Sunset recalled. “I’m lucky you made a portal so whenever I get the chance to come here.”
“And also, Twilight.” The princess turned her attention on her counterpart again. “Since you’re the most bizarre person I’ve seen in my life, I think bizarre things sometimes become great things.”
Human Twilight smiled from her counterpart. “Well I didn’t know you were the reason why so many crazy things are happening in Equestria.”
The three girls giggled from Twilight’s words.
“So if we’re going to let this happen like last time, we need to plan this out. There’s no turning back.”
“I’m sure we can work this out.” Sunset smirked. For the next five minutes, Princess Twilight, Sunset Shimmer and Human Twilight make a plan to meet Princess Celestia in a mature way. They don’t even know what Celestia is going to feel about this, but they can hope she doesn’t flip out.
Once they arrive to Canterlot, Human Twilight is wearing a hood to cover herself from exposure from the citizens. During their walk to Celestia’s castle, several ponies felt suspicious from the pony wearing a hood, but Twilight and Sunset have her back. It was harder to navigate than the Crystal Empire, but still easy to handle. After going through the neighborhood and going through the hallways in the castle, they made it to the throne room where Celestia is located.
“We made it.” Princess Twilight said. “Once I open these doors, We’re all in this together.”
“Here we go.” Sunset added.
“There’s no turning back. Another day in Equestria, another day of controversy.” Human Twilight thought.
Princess Twilight used her alicorn magic to pull the door handle, making it wide open as the three walk inside. Princess Celestia and her sister Princess Luna are sitting at their thrones looking at the schedule of their duties. Princess Twilight swallowed her saliva once Celestia laid her eyes on her when she heard the door open.
“Twilight Sparkle.” The princess of the land happily greeted her student. “And Sunset Shimmer!”
“Yes I’m here.” Sunset grin while trying to keep the plan going. Human Twilight’s heart pounds harder since they’re in the throne room with no way out of this predicament.
“What brings you here?’ Luna added.
“You know, in case if we have all the time in the world we can spend the day together?” Princess Twilight offered. However the princesses were not happy whatsoever.
“Twilight you know we have a very busy day, why did you decide that?” Celestia asked in all seriousness.
“Well…..” Sunset added. “Let’s just say we are...being honest and loyal to you.”
The two sisters looked at each other in confusion. After all the years of being princesses, that quote from Sunset alone was questionable then anything.
“What do you mean by that?”
With their plan working out, Princess Twilight and Sunset Shimmer step aside to give Human Twilight the attention from the sisters. They did notice her once they came in but with the hood covering her, it didn’t bother them. Celestia and Luna seen so many ponies wearing hoodies in different towns in Equestria when they were younger.
“This seems surprising.” Luna commented.
“Is she shy?” Celestia added.
“Yes but not at this moment.” Sunset replied.
Human Twilight’s hooves are shaking in anxiety, she still refuses to reveal herself with a possibility of making another crisis in Equestria just almost like in the Crystal Empire but only worse. Princess Twilight sighed as she used her telekinesis to remove the hood away from her counterpart.
After that, Princess Celestia is in complete shocked with Luna dropping the scroll with her eyes shot open. Human Twilight’s heart had never pound so hard in her life. It was like going on stage for the first time with hundreds of people watching her but unlike that, this was in front of a famous celebrity. A celebrity who’s far better then her principal from Canterlot High.
Princess Twilight and Sunset Shimmer are sweating like animals to the point they regret doing this. Celestia thought she was looking in the past and not the present. Human Twilight with no wings, shorter, but with glasses. It made Celestia get off her throne landing in front of Twilight to get a closer look. She leaned close to her with Twilight making a goofy smile while blushing.
“Sister...are you okay?” Luna asked while still stunted at the moment. Celestia didn’t respond since she still mesmerized at Twilight. She moved around in circles to see Twilight in all angles. It convinced her that she was her student before she became a princess and the glasses didn’t distract her. The princess made a smile with tears coming down from her face. She gave Human Twilight a hug while she lifted herself from the ground thanks to her wings.
“THIS IS THE BEST DAY IN MY LIFE!!!”
Princess Twilight, Sunset Shimmer and even Princess Luna didn’t expect Celestia to act this way, especially flying in the throne room. Human Twilight paused herself during the hug she’s receiving. This was nowhere close to what she thought was going to happen.
Celestia offered the three ponies and her sister to have tea in the dining room despite them feeling off with this. Human Twilight can see her counterpart and her best friend, giving her a confused look. They’re still surprised after what happened moments ago. With Celestia pouring the tea in one of the cups, she takes a seat by Human Twilight who’s still feeling off.
“Celestia?” Sunset asked.
“Yes my favorite student?” She smiled.
“Aren’t you supposed to be...you know...mad at the fact we brought someone from the Mirror World?”
“Yeah, why are you acting this way?” Princess Twilight added.
“Because it’s not exactly a law, I just wanted to make sure both worlds are balanced with no paradoxes.” Celestia replied. “And I knew you would eventually make a portal of your own while also being responsible to avoid any problems.”
While Twilight approves from her mentor’s conference for her, she still doesn't understand why she’s so happy.
“May I have something to say?” Human Twilight raised her hoof which got all the ponies attention by the table. “When you gave me a hug, lifted me into the air, what was that all about?”
Celestia giggled in delight. “I guess your friend didn’t tell you everything about me?”
“Yes.”
“Before Princess Twilight was a princess, she idolized me. But what caught my attention is her spells when she was a filly. That's why I allowed her to be part of my school in Canterlot so I can see her improved.”
When Human Twilight got some of the information of her counterpart’s life in Equestria, she’s also surprised of the whole reason she became a princess later on.
“So...what do you think of me?”
Then Celestia wrap her wing around Twilight, she doesn’t usually do this when she’s this happy, even when her real student saves the land. “When life starts over.”
“You mean the times we’re mostly together before I moved in to Ponyville?” Princess Twilight asked.
“Yes. I know she won’t stay here forever, but I’m changing my schedule just for today.”
“But Celestia.” Luna responded but her sister got it over.
“We can have the ponies who live here take care of everything. It always works.”
Her sister can think otherwise, but considering how stunned from the appearance of Human Twilight alone, she also is curious of who she is. “Alright, I’ll get some help to do our schedule, but we really need to pay them back.” She gets off her seat and left the dining room.
Princess Twilight and Sunset are unaware from what Princess Celestia has in store. At this moment they thought they’re in serious trouble, but it was the opposite, a bizarre thing to think about. As for Human Twilight, she’s starting to like Princess Celestia and something tells her she's going to stay in Canterlot for awhile.
After walking up the stairs for two minutes, they made it to Celestia’s bedroom. Celestia wants to make sure Human Twilight doesn’t get caught from anypony in Canterlot by going up to a hard to see spot.
“I can’t believe you’re taking us to your bedroom.” Sunset commented. “You never did that when I was your student.”
“Princess’s bedrooms always remind private from citizens unless you have permission. Besides they never see the view on my balcony.”
Celestia shows her ponies the balcony to which they make their way. She has a telescope to not only get a closer view of far distances, but also look at the stars in the night. Human Twilight was speechless from the view she witnessing, she can see Ponyville along with other places on the balcony.
“Are you enjoying the view?” Princess Twilight asked.
“Yes, I can’t believe she’s accepting this.” Human Twilight replied.
“Yeah, I forgot to mention she acts thrilled sometimes. Even I couldn’t believe it.”
Both Twilights smile at each other while they look at the ponies in Canterlot. Meanwhile Sunset and Celestia are sitting on her bed looking at the two Twilights.
“So you’re friends with her?” Celestia asked.
“Yes. Ever since she was transferred to my school, we got along so much.” Sunset said.
Then just in time, Princess Luna arrived after telling the other ponies the changed schedule. “I’m back.” She closed the door behind her as she saw what the other Twilights are doing. “I can see other Twilight is enjoying this.”
“She is, she’s the only person to come with me in Equestria.”
“I wonder what she spends her time on in your world.”
The two Twilights went back inside of the bedroom noticing that Luna has just arrived. “Nice to meet you again.” Human Twilight awkwardly wave to the princess of dreams.
“Thank you.”
“So I was wondering.” Celestia replied. “If you have a school in your world, who is your principal?”
This question didn’t scare Twilight at all. In fact she made a smirk that will shock the sisters even more and actually make them jealous, since they refuse to go to the Mirror World.
“My principal is Celestia and my vice principal is Luna.”
Both Princess Celestia and Luna’s jaws drop. It made Sunset and Princess Twilight giggle from their reaction.
“You’re serious??” Luna replied.
“Uh-huh.”
This couldn’t get anymore bizarre if everypony is part of this. So many things both worlds have, but slight differences will always be a topic they will never let go.
“Now I’m gonna have the image of what I do as a principal in Sunset’s world. Bet it’s less extraordinary.” Celestia retorted.
“I’m sure her life has its positives.” Princess Twilight added.
“Other then doing her daily work at my school.” Sunset added.
Despite the idea being inside their minds, it didn’t bothered them for that long. Celestia still has a lot to show for Human Twilight.
The second place she wanted to take Twilight is her classroom at her school. It was lucky for them to have Twilight wear the hood again otherwise there would be a lot of shocking events. In the hallways, they made it to Celestia’s classroom. The curtains are closed with no one peeking from the windows.
“So this is where you teach Twilight about magic spells?” Human Twilight asked.
“Yes. Being a unicorn requires ton of skills to perfect different kinds of spells.” Celestia explained.
“It took me so long to study everything.” Princess Twilight taking a seat by one of the small tables.
“So are you giving her spell lessons?” Sunset asked.
“Not really.” Luna added. “We all know from anyone who steps foot in Equestria from the other world, will have a hard time getting use to they’re pony form. Whatever it’s pegasus or unicorn.”
“That’s true.” Human Twilight replied. “Walking on two legs is one thing but using my horn to lift something is far more complicated.”
“It will take time, which is why I want to do a test for you.” Celestia takes out an apple she brought along and places it on the table.
“A test?” Twilight blinked.
“I want you to use your telekinesis from your horn to lift the apple in the air.”
“You mean…?”
Celestia tilted her head up and down in response of yes. Twilight of course did this when she wanted to eat marshmallows with boiling chocolate but it didn't work out.
“I don’t think I can handle this.” Twilight responded.
This made the sisters disappointed a little but Sunset decide to step in. “It’s going to be alright. Practice makes perfect. Show Celestia and Luna what you have in Equestria.”
Twilight thought about changing her mind but since this is what Celestia does best in this world, she has to respect her obligations. She looks at the apple closely and tries to use her horn. Using her hands was much simpler then the horn, the issue she has is trying to move the object she intended. Her horn isn’t based on her movements which makes it tougher for her to handle. She tried to use her telekinesis on the apple as it lifts in the air surprising the others. She tries to move it left or right but it went up and down.
“You don’t have to keep your eyes closed.’ Sunset reminded.
When Twilight opened her eyes, it shows her that she doesn’t need to close her eyes. Telekinesis is different in hands and horns but takes time to master it. She moves the apple forward and Celestia took a bite of its skin. Twilight tries to move it to Luna to which she took her bite.
Princess Twilight and Sunset Shimmer are more impressed by Human Twilight’s effort. Once that apple makes their way, they also took a bite. Before she could put it down, she pulls the apple towards her and takes her bite, then finally placing it back on the table.
“That was excellent!” Princess Twilight commented.
“And awesome!” Sunset added.
“Impressive.” Luna added.
Celestia on the other hand didn’t make a complaint. Her face is always the expression of proudness. That fact she teaches a pony who’s completely similar to Princess Twilight makes her feel like a mentor again.
“There’s so much I want to show you but we can save that for later times.” Celestia smiled.
“It’s okay, today’s the weekend.” Human Twilight replied.
“I know but if you go anywhere in Equestria, you will see new things. Like seaponies and-”
“Seaponies!?”
“That's going to be for a different time, It’s far away from here. I was thinking I can show the other things I do as a princess.” She leans in to Twilight’s ear as she whispers. “If your principal finds out about who me and my sister are, I bet her jaw will drop.”
Twilight make a smirk from Celestia sassy attitude. ”When the time comes.” She whispered back.
For the reminder of the day, Celestia takes Twilight to the library and tells her the history of Equestria. As for Princess Luna she decides to get back to the schedule they originally planned since there's nothing she can see from Human Twilight.
Princess Twilight and Sunset Shimmer are enjoying the time with the relationship of other Twilight and Princess Celestia. To Twilight, it was like looking into the past, only without glasses. It made her far happier to see her counterpart being in her footsteps during her time as a unicorn.
As for Sunset Shimmer, she was more than proud of her best friend. Now whenever they want to spend a day in Equestria, they can go to Canterlot to meet Celestia as long as they don’t get caught from citizens.
Human Twilight now knows the history and what ponies live their lives in Equestria thanks to Princess Celestia. It came to the point if she's willing to spend one full day in Equestria to make her experience as a pony work in the future. As it comes to her new relationship with Princess Celestia, it was a day she will never forget. With four recognizable people along with a baby in her mind, she wonders what surprises awaits her.
The sun sets over the lands of Equestria as Princess Twilight, Sunset Shimmer and Human Twilight returned to Princess Twilight’s castle. Before they leave Canterlot, Princess Celestia gave Human Twilight a map of Equestria for the next time she comes over to see other lands. They all enter the room where the portal is located as so does the table of Equestria.
“I can’t believe today was a lot better than I expected.” Human Twilight smiled.
“Tell me about it. Just wait until you see more.” Sunset replied.
“Now that Celestia and Luna know about this, I’m sure we handle our portal responsibilities.” Twilight commented. “Anyway, it’s getting late and we really need to rest.”
“You’re right, our friends back home must be worried after being absent for so long. Thanks for taking us to Canterlot.”
“You’re welcome.”
Sunset went to the portal, Princess Twilight stopped her counterpart from leaving. Her counterpart was confused but at the same time, might understand what she’s about to say.
“If your going to come back here...can you bring Spike?” The princess asked.
“Sure but we need to go somewhere peaceful and safe to avoid any attention.”
“How about Silver Shoals?”
Human Twilight looked at her map and saw that Silver Shoals is a small place. “Good idea but we still need time to plan this out.”
“We will work it out like today.”
They both gave each other a hug as Human Twilight goes through the portal, taking her home where Sunset is at. Just when Princess Twilight was about to go to sleep, she saw that Spike was by the map of Equestria, eavesdropping the whole time. He was shocked when he heard the next time Human Twilight returns, she’s taking Spike with her. He rushed up to Twilight with a huge hug.
“I’m definitely going to show my other me of how amazing I am.” Spike replied to which Twilight signed.
“It’s going to be a long time to prepare for this.”
