Sci-Twi tries to wake up Sunset Shimmer.

It's another normal day in Other-Questria, and the Human Seven are heading to school... except for Sunset, who's still asleep it seems.

Being the closest to her, Twilight sets out to wake her up.

A calm day in Other-Questria had come, and the Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, and eventually Twilight Sparkle of this world were heading to their school, Canterlot High School.

"Fwai fo fee!"

The girls turned around at the sudden, unknown call, and as soon as they saw it was Twilight speaking, with a loaf of bread on her mouth, as she ran up to them, they were rather surprised by the sight.

Except for Rainbow Dash, who looked like she was about to burst laughing.

"I fuys!"

"Twilight, darling, please don't speak with your mouth full," Rarity said as Twilight raised an eyebrow. "That's basic etiquette."

"Yeah, not to mention kind of weird in general, and that's coming from me!" Pinkie Pie said.

Applejack walked towards the girl. "Twilight, what are ya doing with a loaf of bread on yer mouth?"

Rainbow Dash stiffed a laughter and covered her mouth as Twilight took off the bread and explained.

"Rainbow Dash told me that eating a loaf of bread while running makes it twenty percent less likely to arrive late anywhere, no matter the time."

Applejack raised an eyebrow. "And ya believed her?"

"I-I wanted to try it myself for deciding anything," Twilight ate the loaf of bread. "Although, the fact that none of you are eating loafs of bread either should've given me a clue that Rainbow was messing with me."

"And it was totally worth it," Rainbow said. "Especially after Sunset saw through the joke right away."

"Speaking of her, where's Sunset?" Twilight looked around. "Shouldn't she be walking to school with us?"

"Well, how do a explain this?" Applejack scratched the back of her head. "Sunset's never's been one t' wake up 'arly."

Twilight frowned. "How long does it take for her to wake up?"

Rarity checked her clock. "It's about eight AM, so I think she wakes up in an hour or two."

"Make that three or four," Fluttershy added. "Sometimes she wakes up in the middle of the day."

"But if she wakes up that late, she's going to gain a strike on her permanent record!"

The girls paused and raised an eyebrow.

"She's going to gain another strike on her permanent record!"

With that said, Twilight turned around and ran.

"Wait, Twilight!" Rainbow exclaimed. "Where are you going?!"

"You might have gotten used to Sunset waking up late, but I haven't!" she responded with determination. "I'm gonna go wake her up and we'll meet up with you later!"

"Twilight, wait!" Fluttershy exclaimed.

"Don't try to stop me!"

"Sunset's apartment's in the other direction, darling!"

Twilight stopped a little too late and fell face-first into the ground.

Twilight stood outside Sunset's room door, which she knocked twice before asking:

"Sunset?"

When she got no response, Twilight tilted the doorknob, opening the door.

It's not even locked?! I'll have a very serious talk with Sunset later!

Twilight went inside and closed the door.

"Sunset, are you here? It's Twilight."

Just then, Twilight walked into Sunset's bed, just as she woke up and rubbed her eyes.

"Twilight? I thought you wouldn't pay me a visit until another thirty moons had-"

Sunset yawned, rubbing her eyes once again to clear her vision.

"Passed."

"No, I'm not that Twilight, I'm the Twilight from the human world," Twilight answered as she walked to Sunset's side. "I came to pick you up because it's time to go to school-"

Sunset whined and covered her face with her pillow.

"Give me a few more minutes to sleep!"

"Sunset, classes will begin in fifteen minutes, and it takes ten minutes just to head there from here!" Twilight pointed out, grabbing and shaking Sunset. "And it also won't help convince people you're no longer a delinquent! Aren't you trying to do that?!"

"I already convinced everybody back when the sirens first attacked, and then when Wallflower Blush erased everybody's memories!" Sunset sternly responded. "And besides, if I wake up too groggy, I'll be in a bad mood for the whole day, which won't help people believe I'm not a delinquent either!"

Twilight scratched the back of her head. "Okay, you have a point, but-"

Sunset snapped at Twilight and hissed like a cat, causing the girl to separate from Sunset and back away until she hit a wall, at which point Sunset glared at her before she went back to sleep.

However, Twilight wasn't going to let something like this stop, so she folded her arms and proclaimed:

"Sunset, you have to wake up and go to school! And no matter what it takes, I'm going to make sure it happens!"

It was then that Twilight discovered another thing she had in common with her counterpart: their speeches were quite good at making people fall asleep.

At least, that's the impression she got from Sunset's snoring.

"Hello?"

"Twilight, is that you?" asked a voice very similar to Fluttershy. "Are you at Sunset's house."

"Yeah, I'm starting to see what you and the girls meant when you said she isn't a morning person," Twilight raised an eyebrow. "You're at the school, right?"

"Y-Yes, but-"

Twilight narrowed her eyes with a determined smile.

"Then give me a few minutes to wake up Sunset and we'll be there with you guys!"

"T-Twilight, wait-!"

"Okay, Sunset, I don't have time to waste getting you up, so I'm taking out the big guns right away!"

Twilight snapped her fingers, and from her back came out Spike, who climbed up to her head.

"Spike, jump to Sunset and use "Morning Face Licking!"

Spike jumped off Twilight's head and leaped to Sunset's bed.

"Spike! Spike!"

Once he arrived at Sunset's side, Spike began licking her face all over, causing her to chuckle... in her sleep.

"C-Come on, Spike! I know you're a dog, but do-hohon't let your instincts win in your hu-humahahan form!"

Twilight raised an eyebrow, right before her phone rang.

She snapped her fingers and Spike jumped back to her side as she answered her phone.

"Hello?"

"Twilight? It's Pinkie Pie. How's Sunset doing?"

"I still haven't managed to wake her up, but just give me a few more minutes-"

"Twilight, there's no school today."

"Look, I'm seeing for myself how hard Sunset is to wake up, so ple-"

Twilight paused.

"W-Wait, what did you say?"

A couple of murmurs were heard from the other line, before yet another voice took the call.

"Hi, Twilight, Rainbow Dash here. Um, please don't take this badly, but it turns out that Canterlot High School is still under repairs from the latest magic attack, so we don't have school today."

Twilight's eyes widened and she slowly gained a smile.

"O-Oh... is that so?"

"Yeah: Principal Celestia and Vice-Principal Luna told us to go back home and wait until they inform everybody when the school's fixed."

Twilight's eye twitched and her smile faltered.

"I guess that Bugbear did more damage then we thought, huh?"

"To be fair, it explicitly came from Equestria with its power intact. But regardless, we wanted to tell you about that, so, you don't need to wake up Sunset Shimmer."

"Mhm... okay, thanks for keeping me informed."

A silence came next as Twilight processed what this meant, then collapsed on Sunset's bed, hitting her stomach in the process, successfully waking her up.

"Okay, alright, I'm up! You don't have to bump me, if you want me to go to school-"

Twilight whined and moved her legs up and down.

"Whoa, Twilight, is something the matter?"

Sunset leaned closer to Twilight, who looked up to reveal a forlorn look.

"The bugbear attack from last week caused the school to close for repairs! And I didn't remember it until now!"

Twilight planted her face on Sunset's stomach.

"To think I wasted my time waking you up over nothing!"

Sunset rubbed Twilight's head with a maternal smile.

"There, Twilight, don't cry. If it makes you feel any better, I'm pretty sure everybody forgot about the bugbear attack, not just you. And besides, now that we both know we don't have school, how about we just, take a seat and relax for the rest of the day?"

Sunset looked elsewhere.

"Until I have to go to work, that is."

Twilight slightly lifted her head, and without looking at Sunset in the eyes, she nodded as she rubbed her head some more, calming down the saddened girl until she rested her head on her lap, sporting a smile.

Unfortunately, it also calmed her down enough to help her remember an important matter to discuss.

"So, why was the door to your apartment unlocked?"

Sunset flinched.

"L-Let's not ruin the moment, alright?"
